"It was the star of flying how how this just was going on and on and on in the woman who was sitting on the panel when you broke last night you'd watch the interview with you an old j than you broken you had the panel in the end the woman who was uh nicole's very good you know rally flaw friend it was tough to watch her she was having a heck of a time trying to hold it together you know it it was hard for all of us i can't even imagine what it would be like for you know people who had loved ones you know connections took to nicole and ron um but i do think the interview was important because it puts a period at the end of the statins no one has ever heard from him he never took the stand he's never talks about the night of the murders he's never given it away before and this interview with him shows the face of domestic violence how manipulative how he blames everybody else how he's the victim in every situation how even in death he's angry as her how dare she i can't control her anymore and yet you know seven thousand two hundred drid largely women were battered just during the airing of the show last night this is still an incredibly important issue uh it's something that that continues to be a problem more than ten million people are abused every year in america most of them are women some of them are men um this is the face of domestic violence this is he is a textbook textbook case and people think oh well it's this kind of person or that kind of person it goes across every socioeconomic every race every education every everything there in the white house there it professors and doctors them sports heroes than guys down the street and bus drivers them they're all kinds of people uh we have to take this seriously and the good news this law enforcement is much more savvy a much more trained and narrow laws today that protect victims of violence like this more them when i was in my 20s for instance when i was attack and stock and assaulted and terrorized by a man who was a harvardtrained psychiatrist very handsome very charming very brilliant twice my size.

"As i was the night with a little bit of history with regard to you and i i raised myra you are the first republican lieutenant governor in georgia history yeah sure i am who had struck me as weird i thought wait a minute it's shorjah but i guess there are two things number one it's a position that the state did not have until about nineteen forty seven and for most of that you go through what we might call kind of ezell miller era an era when there could be such a thing especially in the south as a fairly conservative democrat won't you're you're right i mean over the years uh i was first elected to the state senate back to 1994 was actually the first republican elected to the states and at from hall county um but you're right i mean we were surrounded by conservative democrats here in the south end it took sonny perdue who became uh governor and then as a result we were able to get uh switches in and obviously get the majority but it's been a great great ron um obviously and we as conservatives we've been able to do some remarkable things that obviously impacted the citizens in a in a very positive way uh we did a defenseminded an outlawed sanctuary cities have which is a major issue and i'm in the middle of a fight right now with one of our city suck currently that he's not abiding by the rules and sadly enough making their law enforcement officers violate the rows of office and not to mention the safety of their citizens says all of these issues uh you know conservatives a right now wherever the fight harder than we ever have it seems because they're the tidal wave um you know is against us up particularly among the liberals and and many of the corporation's at wanted join.

"The problems that we face as a as a country um and on the one side um the sort of more stereotypical point of view are on the conservative side is um schwantz use the federal government for our national security which too many people means only um what the military can secure for us um so some level of physical safety that comes from having a big the biggest and strongest military in the world which the united states indisputably does then there's the view that the federal government should really be um supporting our safety and so many other ways and and making sort of a kind of life that we want to have in this country and the kind of society that we want to have possible by investing in all sorts of things from physical infrastructure like roads and buildings and the internet um to the infrastructure that we don't often think of it name destruct infrastructure like um communities education health care jobs housing and all the things that actually make communities ron um so that's the sort of heart of the debate and um what has happened is uh the way that the federal budget legislation works is that uh the very first step in the budget process is that congress sets aside a pot of money for the pentagon and military which includes nuclear weapon and then they set aside a separate pot of money for everything else that's covered in the discretionary budget and what that means is as the budget that congress decides each year and so there are a few big federal programs that aren't a part of this like medicare medicaid and social security but everything off the federal government does it in this mix and what it really comes down to is how much of each do we want and.
