"To the weekend edition of up to a large Dave those with us for a few more minutes on the program they talk about marijuana legalization David the former spokesman for Indiana normal blah that is folks who want to reform of the country's marijuana laws particular one laws are here in Indianapolis law not too long ago American prosecutor Bob Ryan nears made a decision that his office with a longer prosecute possession of one ounce or less of that is a soul things were going on if somebody is arrested because because major waves through throughout the county also throughout the throughout the entire state what how things been so far what what are you in here and since that decision well I'll tell you the world did not come to an end nothing bad with all the other the many concerns that we hear from governor Holcomb and others none of that happened and only the only thing that resulted from this is our law enforcement or they're able to focus more time and energy on the more important issues and and you know this is been making the law enforcement community the bad guys for so many cannabis users in this city well in the state in general when they enforce the canvas walls every time they do that they take someone in jail for that that villain ours is law enforcement this is not a wall that is supported by the people so whenever you enforce this law you are turning more and more people against the law enforcement who needs our support of so I think the biggest thing that's going to come from this move that Ryan mir's made in Indianapolis is of let's going to help build community police relations even more of course it's going to help keep families together we're not separating families were not damaging families were not doing any of the strong and Jill kidnapping them from their families over this pointless legal in most of our in this medically legal in most of our country and we with an intern these police officers are going to tell these people look I'm not worried about this you know what I am worried about these bigger issues and then those people who were before Hey the police quite frankly a lot of these people once you're arrested by the you know for that issue you begin to hate a lot of these people begin that the police and now they're starting to like the please respect them more respect that move and they're more willing to help for the more serious crimes one thing that by one of the criticisms of that been Bob talked about Bob what the prosecutor's decision is that a prosecutor should not get to pick and choose no which laws they are going to enforce okay today you have American press they know what anybody call with no one ounce less of marijuana we're not gonna prosecutor prosecutor what happens if somebody build another prosecutor twelve years on the road as you know what calmo station I got other stuff to worry about or no heroin no does is going to open that door too you know prosecutors said of no just be able to pick and choose know what laws they want and for sure not a force of because of position may be popular at the time I'm all persons to present coral discretion is the thing that is used all the time in the state you know that you're an attorney prosecutors they decide whether or not it's something worth and forcing you know well depending on the scenario of right now in Indiana counties were seeing so many counties that are doing the same thing that Ryne here's is doing they order not pursuing pressing charges on the small amounts many counties are doing is not all but many and the only difference is they're not making the official announcement like Ryan mayors did he's just being honest with his motives and the reason he's doing that is because you know these other counties they might end up dropping the charges once the persons in court but that's after they've been in jail potentially for several days that's after absorbing all of these tax dollars that wouldn't be wasted otherwise so what Ryan Mears is doing by making his announcement is telling law enforcement look I'm not going to be pursuing this so don't waste your time on it move on to the things that are more crucial and we're only seeing that on the streets you know the people within hours or less walking like on like PD for instance I don't know if you watch that show but Lawrence area it's within Marion County borders they were they pull someone over just a few weeks ago on an episode right after run yours made his announcement you know and these are these were young people with future ahead of him and they had little in this person a little longer announces home instead of going to jail and potentially you know re totally destroying at least the next few years for that person they just let him go and and you know nothing bad happened from letting him go and so it's it's a worse it is something that we're seeing on the streets right now and and and Marion County and we're going to be seeing more and more of it Indianapolis police chief said he's not going to support that you know he's not supporting or backing it but Marion County sheriff the American sheriff's office there supporting it and that locally that's the one we need to support Ron mir's because he's the one that runs the jail so even if the police chief residents wanted someone I am PDT one for certain cinnamon there soon as they get in there there will be let go more than likely trying to push for my friend right here where you see about this issue going to twenty twenty particular here in Indiana in Indiana in twenty twenty I honestly think decriminalization of small amount is going to be our best bet is going to be you know right now with the FDA he and there's a lot of scenarios of medical cannabis that's keeping our lawmakers from moving on it so but they do have plenty of reason to potentially support decriminalization small amounts and now that we have the Senate Democrats prioritizing the issue of senator telling will be introducing yet another bill this year but it'll hopefully have more support in the Senate side than ever before because like you said we have January first illinois' becoming recreational legal and December first Michigan you're talking this coming December first a matter of what a little over a week or a week away and mission will begin cells in there or already three dispensaries through four dispensers in Michigan that I'm were over on the order in Arbor area that will begin selling on December first and you know not long after that there's a dispensary brought on the self been border that will begin cells and so that's more likely going to happen before Illinois or release run longer no later than January first for that so yeah we're going to have to out of our four neighboring states with recreational markets and if if Indiana lawmakers really thank this is worth spending so much money on let me put this way this under your listeners need to hear this is the second most enforce law in our state we're currently spending millions and millions of dollars on forcing this law in the state and most of that is small amounts if you decriminalize announcer less the misdemeanor amount then a lot of the headache and a lot of the wasted assets will just come to an end right there and these are assets that we can put towards helping with opioid epidemic reducing overdoses in you if you just whatever you want to do with that revenue it will be there to use instead of wasted right now so not only are we we are not only are we saying currently saying money being wasted enforcing this law but you know if they come around on the on the medical market the recreational market here soon twenty twenty one twenty twenty two depending on how the election goes we'll see not only us end of the wasted assets but they also in this new revenue coming in from tax money as well there's just so much good that could come from this for Indiana it's it's the sooner we come around this issue the sooner we'll begin the benefit from it and stop hurting our citizens right now you have to throw on skill we we have we have people suffering from the how much suffering versus how much benefit or was saying from this being enforced and I would say that so overwhelming amount of people or or suffering more than being helped by this and so yet or tax dollars need to go to better things all right well guess is been Dave offense David off for smoking for in in a normal folks want to reform law nation are one loss they were my friend thank you very much for being with us always good to have you here Sir thank you have new are really appreciate you cover in this and having me and that'll do it for this edition of into a large we condition here on ninety three don't ever see think all very much room with us so we had a good Turkey day and trying to knock each other over the holiday season by and stuff so if you don't need for people that you really don't like just getting just getting to just be nice to each other I think that's a perfect Christmas gift two guys next week take care bye bye this.

"He made the announcement Jude long before Santa Nita cancelled racing indefinitely heat said about ten twelve days ago. I'm coming east for the Gotham. He's here. One turn mile. He's never been beyond six furlongs. He has that long layoff. But man his first two races were nothing short of spectacular. And you know, he he looks good. He shipped good the pictures of him on Instagram been excellent. He looks like he's settling in nicely there. He adds a lot of speed of the field. I'm wondering a lot of people don't think he can go very far. They don't think he can go to turn this race is only one turn. But they're questioning is ability of mile and all that. And I don't I don't know looks to me like he can certainly get the distance. He's out of lawyer, Ron MIR. He should be able to get a mile. No problem. Certainly amount. Sixteenth mile Nate, there's a lot of racing left. But he's a beautiful animal, and and super talented a million to paid for him at the phasing Tipton Florida March sale. There's a lot of speed in here though. And I think there could be a really hot pace. That's why I'm gonna take high-cal who comes from off the pace regime seems to have away with them. He he's kinda like affirmed in that I think he does just enough to get the job done. He had a great trip last time, and obviously that helped them, but I think I think he's very tough. I think tcb and flu is going to be good from the outside. Dylan Davis gets on on him. I know where Manny Franco's, but in any case, Jeff, lewiston, fire and writers left and right. So. It wasn't really manage faultless. So Haikal came up the rail, which is where you wanted to be a thief influ went wide. I'll say this Haikal has done this twice now when he broke his mating. And when he won the Wingfield he is he's a railroad. He likes to lay up along the iron and just come scooting along the inside almost Rajiv does his best Calvin Burrell impersonation when he's aboard Haikal last time at work because the rail was the place to be I think if you switch trips may be tcf influ gets maybe doesn't I'm not a thinking flu fan. I don't I'm not. I'm not the flu. But I mean these only two lengths behind. Between haikal? So I guess if you like high-cal eight to one six two one seven one, whatever he's gonna be you probably gonna like tcf and fluid twice the price. There's a lot of speed like you said Jud it looks like the race goes through Instagram. But you know, this to grade one winners how deep this race is this to great winters winners. Twelve to one nine two two on the morning line. We'll start with mind control who has a win over the track. He won the Jerome cr- trainer. Greg Sacco act opted not to stretch out to the two turns of the weather's he wants to keep them around the one turn. I guess I'll want them next wherever he runs a mobile around turns. But toba my mind control, the gray one hopeful when? Yeah, there's no reason to think that that's not a good plan to one turn miles and then stretch out in your last or be prep and see where you're at..
