"She should have been dismissed long before that. Yikes what? Yeah yeah there. There's the issue now. Let me me tell you one of the things I've been told and this. Is You know how the rumor mill works. allegedly allegedly there is a a very large Letter that is is evidence there Someone told me it was like a three hundred page love letter or some such. I don't know but there are. There are some some odd details in this and a we we we got issues that have to be dealt with and I got. I got nothing. Just it's we finally headed up and you know it's good to see. A Republican governor pushed back on the media and increasingly. You know I have been one of the people out there who has said. I don't think it's good for the president to label the press. Generally the enemy of the people increasingly it is obvious that the press Much of it. Not all of it. But much of it has just decided to run with that itself and the press is not necessarily portray themselves as the enemy of the people but the enemy of Republicans. And I really do think there's something to this. That much of the American media at this point has internalized that Donald trump is orange man bad and as Orangemen bad they have a moral obligation to not just ruined him but ruin anyone who comes into contact with him not just ruined anyone who comes into contact with him but anyone who comes into contact with them and not just anyone who comes into contact with them but anyone who supports any of the above. So if you've got a Republican governor who said something Nice about Donald Trump. Suddenly that person's the enemy if you have a Republican governor whose competence is helping drive up Donald Trump's approval rating in his State that person's the enemy. Because I do fundamentally believe in talking to enough reporters who I know and trust that even many of them will admit They are appalled by Donald Trump and they can't understand why people don't see it in if you're appalled by Donald Trump and you don't understand why people don't see it will then. What are the things you're going to do is try to make people see it and one of the things you're GonNa do is try to editorially steer your coverage to try to into that person so the media is not necessarily the enemy of the people there are definitely the enemy of of Donald Trump and the Republicans? Right now and they're showing it into a degree. I guess is some of them. Not all of them. Some of them are enemies of the people in part because They are willfully trying to destroy someone that The people support and dripping with disdain for anyone who supports how many profiles of trump supporters have. You seen where they are portrayed as Hicks and rubes and bigots in the like how. How many have you seen? I suspect a great many and that is deeply problematic because so much of the media dislikes trump supporters portrays them in the worst possible light. Mocks them I mean all all you gotTa do is turn on CNN and watch Don Lemon and and his take on trump voters just watch. It drips with disdain for Middle Class. Voters in what some of the media would refer to as fly over country that place they fly over between New York and Los Angeles or San Francisco or Miami. The media in the United States is run more and more by people who only care what people who live within twenty five miles of coast think. The exception of that is Fox News. And so guess what. The rest of the media has decided that Fox News is the enemy in a Fox. News is the enemy and trump supporters of the enemy and the president is the enemy. They don't have to cater news to you. People your bad and increasingly what the media does is just try to reaffirm the beliefs of the people who live within twenty miles of coast which are overwhelmingly liberal. How much different with the coverage of covid nineteen be if CNN did not exist within the bubble of the New York DC corridor you know CNN was certainly left of center in For for most of its time it had a lot of reporters who were in Washington and New York but CNN itself was headquartered in Atlanta so at least it made an attempt to understand What people at the Walmart as opposed to the whole foods cared about and it doesn't do that anymore. The network that does is called Fox News in CNN. Now routinely attacks Fox News for daring to to discuss what? Cnn does it. Like I mean there's an entire cottage industry within CNN That is obsessed with what Fox News does does not cover if you. Why should it matter to you? What Fox doesn't does not cover. I mean to play that game by the way. Cnn has has routinely not covered in their entirety. The president's press conferences. Cnn has not delved into the Mike Flynn stuff seen and has done all these things to play that game But you will note. That Fox News is not bothering to do it. Because they're number one and they don't have to care about it. There are problems with all the media out there right now but one of the biggest problems is their lack of fairness in coverage of other states largely because they interpret everything through the Lens of New York City. They can't bring themselves to blame Andrew Cuomo because they've got to have a protagonist against orange bad and so they assail these other governors. Who Live rent free in their head. The American people would be better off if they turned off much of the press and and frankly relied on their local newspapers except some of the local newspapers have been bought up by national newspapers and are striving to You know so when I was at CNN. I was warned by one of the prominent anchors. They're never going in the daytime shows because they were in Atlanta and this anchor at CNN who was not in Atlanta said that he avoids as best. He could the daytime shows at seen in because so many of those anchors were so desperate to prove their liberal credentials to be able to get promoted somewhere else they didn't want to be Atlanta and so he found him to be overly biased and he thought that the evening shows on. Cnn and the early morning show on CNN. Were fairly good. Go on those shows just not go during the midday shows and the same is now happening with some of these newspapers. That are getting bought up. By national conglomerates where the editorial page editors and some of the journalists decide they need to prove their liberal credentials to get out of product and go up to the big city and so you're increasingly seen in the newspapers that are surviving at the local level. The either they are independently owned and doing well intend to actually have a conservative worldview or they are liberal conglomerate entities. Were the people were just climbing over each others backs to try to get ahead by going up to the national market and it shapes how the news is portrayed in Florida. The data is good. The fact that the media cannot believe it in the media suggest there is some conspiracy to shape. The data says way more about the media than anyone else and that's unfortunate at a time. We actually could use a free fair press in the United States..

Burks has talked multiple times about how Florida has the absolute best data so any insinuation otherwise is just. Typical heart is in narrative trying to be spun and part of the reason. Is that because you've got a lot of people in your profession. Who Wax for weeks and weeks about Florida was going to be just like New York way. Two Weeks Florida's going to be next just like Italy. Wait two weeks. Well Hell were eight weeks away from that and it hasn't happened not only do we have a lower death rate while we have way lower generally we have a lower death rate than the Acela accord or DC. Everyone up there. We have lower death rate than the Midwest Illinois Michigan Indiana but even in our region Louisiana Mississippi Alabama Georgia. Florida has the lower death rate. And I was the number one landing spot from tens of thousands of people leaving the number one hot zone in the world to come to my state so we succeeded and I think that people just don't want to recognize it because it challenges their narrative it challenges their assumption. So they gotta try to find Boogeyman. Maybe it's at their black helicopters circling the department of Health. If you believe that I got a bridge in Brooklyn. I'd like to sell you now. That's not all. The national media considering what's happening in Florida in fact The Washington Post in response to this essentially has a hit out today that you know the numbers are going back up in Florida now. The numbers are going back up in Florida. It's important to understand because they're testing more people in Florida in as their testing more people in Florida. "Let's get to Rhonda Santa's spent a lot of time yesterday onto Santa's because I you know I've spent time on Georgia and Brian Kemp and with the Santa's and in in Florida now in particular the media is peddling serious conspiracy theories about a woman named Rebecca Jones. Rebecca Jones was the manager of the Geographic Information System the GIF system that Florida used to display the data. She was fired on May fifth and she told people she wasn't sure about the reliability of the data thereafter. It became a national media story That Florida was potentially rigging the date at one of the reasons this is happening is because so much of the media is clustered in the northeast corridor and the northeast corridor is still doing poorly and the media can't recognize that perhaps there are leadership flaws there because they treat Andrew Cuomo as a saint. I mean his his daily gatherings with his brother on CNN. Almost amount to verbal incest. I mean these two are on. Tv together Gavin it up glad handing it and he never gets asked the tough questions about why so many people in nursing homes have died in New York City. And why didn't he stop transferring. your answer in those documents this is like the Hillary emails because there was nothing there did you sexually assault Tara Reid no it is not true I'm sorry no no quickly it never never happened she eighty three days until to C. two shiny the I glad you're with us our to Sean Hannity show eight hundred nine four one showing you want to be a part of this extravaganza it was like a cloud lifted in New York and in spite of threats by the mayor and others and confrontations in some cases you know one instance where you had a taser wielding cop in New York you know and literally in a conflict with a bystander during a social distancing bossed you saw more people in New York out on the streets you solve the beaches people were walking them and my advice to everybody and I think what's happening here is that this is happening in Arizona and it's happening in Michigan and it's happening in California that's happening all across the country I think the best lesson we learned probably was from the state of Florida what we learned from Ron DeSantis target the elderly the most vulnerable health wise those with underlying conditions those with compromised immune system by doing that he probably did the best job of any governor in the country in terms of elderly population and the percentage the contracted the disease hospitalizations interventions and ultimately those that gave their lives lost their lives with us we can learn lessons as we now try to reopen the country safely which is why we always bring back our friend Dr oz he's watching all this unfold as well doctor I was going to talk to you saw what happened this weekend I saw that that doctor Burks is concerned about the big crowds not wearing masks to use the words devastatingly worrisome I I don't disagree with I I don't want people to take this to casually have but I want life to go on but safely I don't know what it would contest this system you know it's been painful to go through what our nation managed to just to survive the last six seven weeks and going back to what if we if we had known him on March the fifteenth what we know now what we we have changed it in five easy for most the country again shutting down and for sure one of the that were done was told while reading a subway in a park in a crowded environment for mascot how much of a difference it makes we don't know the twenty five percent it is seventy five percent well that was social distancing reduces more could we get some possible telling real life circumstances but heck of a lot better than nothing it's just a shame because I've seen the hospitals and how diversity can be we miscalculated it won't be those folks parting up that I completely understand what they want to vent they will be the ones in the hospital you know and that that that that is exactly the reason that I said because it's temporary I still I know people you know people I've asked you to call people for me that are dealing with us and I literally think without your intervention a couple of people I know lives would not have they wouldn't be alive today and by the way will probably get one of them on the show later this week with you to tell the story because and this a healthy individual very active in in their sixties a friend of mine and he was probably twenty four thirty six hours away from intimation is that a fair assessment by my partner yeah all right what is his position so we connected with were as worried as you are searching and at that moment in that hospital they had you know a lot more information than they've ever had which is like three dozen or something around the two thousand or three thousand so I'm watching people and look up part of a doctor tell me if I'm wrong is you every doctor knows a little bit of a psychologist also and my doctor friends hate they'll always say you want to listen to me or do you want to listen to doctor Google because they think I'm I think I know everything because I Google everything before I ask the questions and I'm not always right anyway I think and tell me if I'm wrong that the country is watched all of this they see that the vulnerable population as the elderly underlying conditions compromised immune systems and they've made an educated I'm not saying it's not educated decision what is the comfortable level of risk for them that is my overall assessment your thoughts right I am part of the reason they're making that assessment is because public health officials a post media doctors are all saying what they really think is the truth which is some groups are more at risk than others if you do these ten things in the right order at the right time you'll probably do well but we're not sure at all those people so say the post office in the very beginning which is stay the heck out of Dodge gold your house shelter you you know you could die and I think people told me privately since we were very black and white cotton dry on this the beginning because he wanted people to listen and we purposely told them things that would scare them so they would pay attention now if we're going to let everyone understand at the disabilities of what's important and not you have to trust people to act on that if you interpret the recommendations that saas sloppy who really cares this matter be fine anyway that's a big error because of there's a huge difference between towns when the promaster on and not a minute to make a big deal but especially with the better masks that could dramatically change the chance if you can give somebody else we got a virus attack thank you the average person will pass the three people that day and is that you because it's just one person that's a gargantuan do the math card games with difference yeah now what do you make of what you saw the scenes you saw Central Park you saw beaches around the country you saw the protests he sold the boats out there what is your assessment of what of how people are dealing with this the reason I'm telling people I'll wear a mask is not for me Dr oz I think you know more about my health than anybody because I sent you my blood work just because I always like to get a hundred opinions and what they read but the reality is I don't I'm not at that high risk area for this but I don't want to affect anybody else either I don't have the antibodies I took the test but I was I died never got this thing thank you David you have got affected your you're lucky but this is not what the average person you know I I I grew up playing sports with basketball in college I would never ever tell he made for myself go to the fifty eighth minute and then take it easy the last two minutes I was whenever it's about right but who I am and I don't think most Americans are like that either gosh we could be on the five yard line fifty or less I have no idea how close you are to the finish line will wear white clothes that we were six seven weeks ago why would you think of you know you had a relaxing job towards the end zone yes it doesn't make sense for us right now the mess this up the bigger concern I have is the states which have taken the bold action of opening up the beach or letting people congregate it does seem that people be smart when they do that if they get hurt with covert nineteen cases they will shut the stage down again and not every business owner I've spoken to him she's spoken with me said that the first time was topped the second time is catastrophic they cannot afford to close down again it will decimate our economy so it's almost a patriotic duty at this point besides humanitarian gesture to be super cautious to make sure you're not affected even if you have very little chance to get to a hospital are being debated are having a bad outcome so I'm looking at things for from my perspective and I'm again and everyone has their own thoughts on it and I'm looking at your seat or cross section of America here I mean all right I didn't like the guys with their you know how that tactical gear and their long rifles out you know leave I'm a I'm a big second amendment guy in a big first amendment guy Lee you don't ratchet up a situation like this by bringing and showing military force when you want to protest protest do it peacefully think of the police they've they've got a handle this you know put your put your thoughts with them for a few minutes so but people protesting I'm looking across the country these are moms and dads sons and daughters grandmas and grandpas here putting aside the Michigan people thank you make all the right points to the other concern I have is that the goal here is not to to win a legislative argument educate capital the goal here is to open the state hand had the people in the state believe that it's the right thing to do so they show up on are you gonna open state no one's there so it's actually tomorrow the shortcut more beholden on whose past XP the secretary under under a bush in a very smart guy with two detailed walk me through exactly what it's gonna look like the workplace for example is I would actually be best in Portugal last is it going to be with dad people working remotely I went questions I love your answer to all those questions yes we do need plastic glass more portly gonna change house meetings look instead of close conference rooms with poor ventilation is going to be all open less people it's just not worth the business risk of having a top folks all in one spot because the one person goes on the on the accord Pete with restaurants we we can get well deleted restaurants I'm actually confident there will get up to technologies only three over the weekend some of these ultra violet lights that are very narrow spectrum is not dangerous for humans but he would kill virus we'll see some of those the battle now you're good now I'm going to get into how dare Dr oz say this it's a conspiracy theory that doesn't explain what you mean just because people are just you can't even have a discussion with that work with this work even one out of curiosity without being diligent there are very polite scientists have been working for years on aerosolized viruses how you kill a virus in here that's the most devastating kind now we happen to have one so there's a guy Columbia we were working on this for a couple years I just read the paper I haven't called them and talked to but I read paper that he wrote arguing that also violates our dangers to the skin into our eyes you can't just be that's what we tell people but somewhat gone but are there ways of taking just a few clicks of weight length of it and sharing using is that to kill the virus without hurting people is aware he's not only within the air conditioning unit for example so never sees a person believed killed the virus in there your innovative ideas I have no idea if they go to work but I'm of the belief that we were.

"At four o'clock and will try to find out how his virtual town hall went you know it's a difficult time we've had Congress people on most recently Eric Swalwell and and you know this is this is something that screams for the federal government to step up screams for the executive branch to do what it's supposed to do with the power given the two bites our constitution but they're not doing it when I say they're not doing it yourself what do you mean John saying getting the masks getting the ventilators getting the PP to areas that they need it what is Florida have more proportionally than any other state could be Ron DeSantis and then course the same governor is going to allow people to go to church this weekend without restrictions that's right in fact the law in Florida won't let local communities stop churches from having congregations this weekend the president had a chance today to stop it and he didn't he he chose not to well that's gonna come out talk to cat a cat urine KGO thank you what are you chip so I am cringing every time I listen it's almost impossible it's like watching a train wreck you you want to walk away but you just can't and at the end of the day I actually think this could be a huge thing for Democrats because what is coming out of his mouth is so nonsensical it's like it's like watching verbal ping pong first it's the greatest thing that's what could be really bad but that's going to be really good and it's going to be great but then it's gonna be sad cat can't think he's mentally ill knobs and I'm not sure our out I'm not kidding around I totally agree so I'm frightened people not like me I'm frightened for people that are poor and people that are at their disadvantage I'm frightened this may sound ironic but it's not I'm frightened of the people that live in these red states that believe in him that be through that his demolition of the ACA have put him in such a vulnerable spot this thing is far far from over we're not gonna have a vaccine until next year herd immunity question for you hi I have a question for you no one is hurt brought the board up but I feel like what we are all watching it happen is nothing short of genocide of our most vulnerable communities of our elder people who cannot afford or you have not been able to take care of themselves because they literally have not been going to the doctor because they don't have health insurance the disparity between blacks and Hispanics and the percentage of the people that are in that are getting the disease and are actually dying is terrifying if you're on the way to that point one cat and it's for it's three forty in about twenty minutes I had a Washington post reporter that wrote an amazing article about that very thing the disproportionate numbers of African Americans and Latinos that are dying because of this so you're right it is genocide and and when you were there was a friend of mine did a great great okay screengrab and it's from C. N. B. C. you know Jim Cramer the guy that mad money guy right and so he's on school on screen behind him on a television is a big graphic it says the Dow's best week since nineteen thirty eight and the Chiron at the bottom says more than sixteen million Americans have lost their jobs in three weeks that summarizes the United States today in a nutshell that I I wish you could see that the the I think that you know what I'll do I'm gonna put it up on the the texting sheets so if if you're if you're if you look at your phone or text me and I will Texas back to anybody you gotta see this the screen grab yeah cat I I am my heart breaks and then I got a vast leads in that anger are we have to stop this man in the fall I I don't know what happened to the Republican Party but we have to stop this man to protect us I would take any Republican now any Republican I'm not not getting anyone Ted Ted Cruz put him in there Marco Rubio put him in there any any of any of the seventeen guys that ran for that office John case again heart beat in a in a heart Mike pence in a heart beat that's a dangerous I think Oscar thank you Catt for the car purchase go to Los Gatos bill Hey you're on KGO thanks for the call yeah Hey unlimited which factual information yesterday somebody called in and they said that the World Health Organization in January fourteen said that in that it wasn't contagious and even Cuomo said the same thing this morning and it's all over the place and it's not one going back you said that Cuomo said it wasn't contagious the World Health Organization on January fourteenth you can look it up it stated a lot of people have quoted it day and usually said that it didn't appear to be contagious between people that's a fact they'll call I don't know how long how long first of all just because you say it's a fact it's not affect will look it up but I doubt the World Health Organization January the fourteenth if they had the full information about covert nineteen which say that something's not contagious that either they don't know yet or they have observed is a crown of virus coronaviruses are by their nature contagious maybe some adjectives were left out of there maybe the so we don't know the level of contagion that this's but I can guarantee you right now without even looking it up the World Health Organization we're not it issue a blanket statement by saying it's not contagious so yeah I mean just I know so what was the other part of that she said the Cuomo said Oklahoma City we bet trump was right we have to really examine how much work you know what we're doing with the World Health Organization if they don't give out honest if they're in a bit though currently he feels that there in the bed with the Chinese the CCP because he didn't take Kerr doesn't come in until it either that's not accurate almost two per two I know they're they're all a bunch of liars except you chip you know do you know what they look at you can you can call me up and do this if it's just a really helps no one I mean if if you want to cite a statistic or something instead of saying you heard and someone said I mean that's how these things get out of control I'm not here to fight your to harangue you I'm not I'm just telling you if you take the time and read through this he'll see how dangerous this is and what this poses to the world population this is a long way from done and we're hoping that it doesn't even mutate apparently has been mutating but that they die off which is good but that's that's how influenza that's why you know flu vaccines always work because of mutations we hope that the only way to really stop to think a certain unity and vaccines are gonna break eighty eighty eight ten as a phone number I will get more your phone calls coming up will also talk about yeah I think this is to me this is one of the one of the stories that goes right beneath the story is is how we react to this as a nation you heard about the churches why would churches why would they hold these masses could be about money that's next okay all right it's Jamie progressive number one number two employee leave a message at the Hey Jimmy it's me Jamie this is your daily pep talk I know it's been rough going ever since people found out about your archipelagos Matt harmony but you will bounce back I mean you're the guy always helping people find coverage options with a name your price tool it should be you given me the pep talk now get out there hit that high note.

"Governor Ron DeSantis live in Miami a Jackson memorial and he outlined Ford is five point plan and those five points to protect the vulnerable Amatil to increase the taste and testing capabilities around the state he talked about buying additional attest kids twenty five hundred of them to be the point yesterday he indicated that a quest diagnostics and LabCorp are able to administer tests at their facilities as well third part of the plan to increase social distancing measures so bottom line he's canceled travel official travel for state employees for the next thirty days he's encouraging gatherings to not take place and we have MLS which has postponed its season at this point and Major League Baseball he mentioned the governor mentioned he had talked to the commissioner Major League Baseball they were scheduled MLB to have a a conference tomorrow not sure if that's going to change at this point course MLB this season doesn't start until later this month but spring training still going on right now in South Florida so we'll see what comes of that conversation with the governor Major League Baseball the fourth part plan to protect healthcare workers obviously was concerned not only about making sure that you had access to testing as needed but also health care workers themselves one that they don't become overwhelmed and the system that doesn't become overwhelmed but also that they are adequately protected against any patients they might come in contact with Kobe nineteen and the fifth part of the plan to monitor international and high risk travel and all the information latest information be made available and for the health dot gov so that's the latest from the state of Florida obviously there's a lot of breaking news it will continue to come about two o'clock today mayor Francis war as Miami will end up declaring a state of emergency for the city we will likely hear additional outcomes across the country throughout Florida I can tell you that even a smaller than a a an event for a sponsor I work within the palm beaches that was scheduled for one hundred people this week and that was just canceled so things are very fluid and if you have any events that were scheduled I it makes sense to book in advance to see if they're still going to take place because even the smaller ones at this point often have been called off and when we take a look at the lay of the land there couple things that I think are important and when it Dave this is the subject of my Q. NA today the difference between mortality and death rates is all the information that's out there and trying to deal with what's real it's important right now not to read into the situation what you want to read into it but the reality on the ground and it like it's not comfortable it's not something we want to deal with I've been trying to handle this as I do coverage for hurricanes you know like what we know a hurricane is coming we don't know exactly when it's going to hit we don't know exactly where it's going to hit but we are in the crosshairs so we have to be prepared there's a process that we go through and often the process feels the worst in preparation it's stressful it's emotional and then you wait and yet yet see how it's going to impact and yet you have prayed for the best right it's kind of where we are with this in so over the past few weeks I have been doing this daily update October nineteen often with information that might not be the most comfortable some hasn't been so bad but a lot of it like the death rate which has averaged six percent and still remains at six percent nah I don't enjoy that anymore than you do but that's what's real and so we go over the information takes us so that's what I would encourage you to do it again at this point have a story up that is about pandemics you need to take that information just pragmatism you know if we go back to the most recent pandemic two thousand nine the H. one N. one virus that pandemic killed just under twelve thousand five hundred people in the United States now what was reacted to differently than some of what we've seen so far and there's very specific reasons for that and again this is all addressed and the stories that I have put together for you will.
