The Power of Parsley
"This week? We are talking about the power of Parsley Parsley. Okay yes well. We've we've covered parsley years ago for podcasts. I'm sure there's news wonderful things about personally Being your husband. I know that you put Parsley in a lot of things we eat. I really really appreciate that so what you just explained to all of us this obsession. You may have with Parsley. Well I guess we would call it a small obsession but I just love the taste or guitar. Firstly yeah and then when I learned nutrition I learned a lot about the health benefits of Parsley. And then that it just kind of made it like well. I've gotTa have parsley in anything that I could possibly have it in so I found different ways to add it to my foods and recipes. uh-huh is it because it has some amazing health benefits which I wanted to talk about. Today's do please do so. I think if an herb could be described as humble we'll parsley would fit that bill. I feels right to me. Because it's so underrated. Most people just think of it as a plate garnish right and as the plate garnish. oftentimes people don't even eat it. Leave it there on the plate. Of course we always eat our SPRIG of Parsley. We do. Yeah so one one of the reasons why I I find it to be a very important food is. It's one of the most alkaline forming foods As an herb. It's a food and so- alkaline forming is. That's basically how it balances our body. Chemistry keeps US healthy so In one of the reasons why it is alkaline. Forming is because it has a lot of the minerals. Enrolls that are alkaline forming it has calcium and magnesium and potassium minute which are three really important? alkaline forming minerals uh-huh It also has vitamins a B one. B Three Benign Vitamin C and Vitamin K. Vitamin K is important for for Keeping the blood healthy vitamins. A and C are anti oxidants so they help stop free radical damage from happening in the body body they boost up our immune system so in fact partially is one of the richest sources of vitamin C.. I don't think a lot of people know that I always think of orange juice juice or vitamin C.. Source hersely interesting yes. So by the way calcium magnesium and phosphorus. which is also in Parsley? Are All the minerals that make up our bone so a lot of people think of of milk for strong bones. I think of Parsley Parsley. Okay okay her strong bones so okay now. There are two different types of parsley right You might have noticed there's the curly type And then there's the flat type. The flat type is often called Italian. Parsley so. We've got curly Parsley Italian Parsley nutritionally. There similar okay. There's really not a big difference but in uncooking there's some differences because the flat leaf Parsley tends to withhold itself and and lend a Ni- savory flavor to things that you would cook it in like like a long cook like a broth or soup or or some other you know like a baked good or something whereas the curly parsley is something that you would probably add at the end end of the cooking so you wouldn't put Your big sprigs of curly parsley in a broth. Use the flat parsley for that. And then you might. I want to Add some chopped fresh parsley on top of the the bowl of soup. Once you serve it Is there any sodium. That's more than it should be in in Parsley Parsley well. Most of our plant foods have naturally occur occurring sodium in small quantities the value value of Parsley would be that. It has higher amounts of potassium as opposed to natural sodium. And there's that's really important because the potassium sodium ratio. She Oh in our diet is supposed to have like five times more. Potassium we have of sodium in our diet in the American Diet. It's the complete opposite of that You know we have like more than five times more sodium. Sometimes it's like fifty times more sodium than potassium so parsley can help balance that out too because of if it's potassium content awesome. Yeah so some ways to use it it's really I use it in a variety of ways one. I like to throw a handful of that in my I smooth these Just like any other smoothie if you admit that you would make with fruits and then some Greens usually I'll throw some Greens and they're like either spinach spinach or Romaine lettuce or Kale or something but always a handful of parsley also And you don't taste the parsley so much in those Fruit Green Green smoothies because the fruits usually are what come through in the flavors and the Greens are usually not tasted like like. You don't typically taste spinach in your green in smoothies and the same thing with the Parsley so I like to sprinkle parsley on everything. Pretty much We sprinkle it on even scrambled eggs like to put it in soups that we make I mix it into like meatloaf or Veggie burgers. I just chop it up fresh You can even make a parsley tea. You just take the you know the you know a couple of teaspoons or I'm sorry couple tablespoons of Parsley or just grabbed grabbed few sprigs let it steep and some hot water. And you've got a parsley tea which is really good for your digestion. Oh Yeah and one of the best uses icy for Parsley is is as a breath freshener. Also if you if you eat a meal that has strong flavors in it especially garlic I just did a a little cooking class on garlic and that was one of the things that I shared at the end. was that after. You eat garlic. especially if it's either a fresh garlic recipe or roasted roasted garlic recipe take sprig of Parsley and chew it. The stem part and the leaves chew it. You can chew it enough you can eat it That helps fresh in. Your breath takes away all that garlicky smell on your breath interesting. Yeah you can even. This is kind of interesting because it's really good for the digestion. Can you can chop it up and put it in your pets food because if you notice your pets have a little bit of bad breath write you and maybe they have some awesome digestion stuff going on it will parsley can even like kill worms and little parasites pets so you can just chop it up and mix it into their wet food. We WanNa do that. Yeah Jeff put up a small. Yeah yeah so I mean there's so many benefits of Parsley who doesn't want to go out right now and buy a bunch of Parsley and have it in your fridge throughout the week. That's what I do. I buy buy a fresh one at the beginning of the week and then I just use it up through the week. Yeah I love it. I Love Parsley. I I I'm the beneficiary of all that you know so anything more before we go. I think we have covered most of what we wanted to cover about parsley today. my my hope is that People will start using can get in various ways in their diet.

Drinking orange juice could slash your risk of dementia by 50%
"Ask for her opinion. Anyway, nobody wants my thing, but they say these health giving benefits can protect the brain from a buildup of unwanted molecules and maintain a healthy blood supply to the brain. So lead author study lead author of the study said long-term intake, a veg- vegetables fruit and orange juice may be beneficial. So they looked at men who were fifty one years old on average. They separated them into five groups based on the fruits and vegetables, those the highest eight about six servings a day compared to two servings for the group of the lowest consumption. Now how much is a serving. Well, that's one Cup of raw vegetables or two cups of leafy greens. For fruits the top group paid about three servants day compared to half of the servant of the bottom group at a serving of a food is like one Cup of fruit or half a Cup of fruit juice. So then to measure how the affected brain health was they researchers took tests when the men were seventy three years old on average and the tesla to things like if they could remember we said events if they remembered stuff on a shopping list, and they said that six point six percent of men who ate the most vegetables. I developed less than those who you know, and performed less better than those who ate the least amount of vegetables. So it was a six point six to a seven point nine book. At this fruit consumption, overall did not appear to influence the risk, but drinking orange juice dead. So eating a bunch of grapes, and watermelon and bananas and apples didn't seem to do much for drinking, orange juice. They said did now just six point nine of the people that drink, orange juice. I don't know if they met percent went onto developed poor cognitive function. But it was eight point four percent in the men only drink orange juice once a month. So a lot of you guys are saying this is like, no da. I mean, you know flipping. Well, I know I know, you know, but are you really drinking orange juice regularly? Are you really getting your fruits and vegetables in one of you as how am I supposed to get five to nine fruits and vegetables a day? Which is kind of in the recommendation five to nine. I mean, again cups are small. What is a cop? I mean, depending on the size of your bark broccoli a Cup of broccoli could be four big pieces. So then maybe eight in the morning. I mean, imagine how full you'll be if you eat a Cup of carrots in the morning or a couple of cups of spinach. You know, what I think you guys need to do. Because this is what helped me is. I have little bad. He's. And he's little Baggies. I have you know, vegetables for the day, and I will nibble or Nash on them. You know, not because I want to eat. That's the problem. You can't ask yourself. What you wanna do? If there's a cupcake, and then there's a piece of broccoli. I am not going to reach for the broccoli. But what you do have to do is. Maybe have little alarms going right time to your next piece of broccoli. Time to eat your next carrot stick. And you just have to you have to force yourself to scarf. These vegetables down. That's the only way to get them in. And this is what I don't understand. You guys are so religious with your coffee. You don't start your day. You don't go to work unless you have your coffee, you build your whole morning around your coffee. I don't get that. Because I'm not a coffee drinker. But you make sure to get that coffee in. Why aren't you doing the same thing? Why don't you have the same passion for vegetable I understand vegetables tastes like crap? But you will long-term feel better you'll have that energy boost you'll get four. So you know, what we've been doing it all because we have a bunch of bands the vegetables that now that's the other thing too. I get that. I get the whole roommate lettuce thing. I think we actually have people sick still from Romain lettuce. Let me find out what the latest on that is. I just heard that we have people still getting sick from the romaine lettuce. I have to find that. Sorry apologize. I don't know where my little article is there's a lot of news there. Nine more sickened with e coli outbreak. Background music. How lovely nine more people sickened in e-coli outbreak affected Romain lettuce. Okay. So I get everyone's worried about foodborne illnesses, but you know, mix it up one day of carrots celery. Now, let's go to this Romain lettuce. Remember the romaine lettuce outbreak where right before thanksgiving? The CDC tweeted or I think the FDA made a statement in. They were like right out the door on the way out for thanksgiving. And they say, you know, what there's an e coli outbreak. We don't know where it's coming from just don't eat the lettuce. If you're not sure throw it out. So nobody knew what to do even restaurants had to just stop serving salad. So they believe it came from California farm. But people are still getting sick this nine poor or people have been sickened bringing the total of fifty two people across fifteen states. According to the CDC, New Jersey and California. The most cases each having reported eleven people sick into the outbreak that began as early as over fifty seven people have been sick in Michigan six each in New York and New Hampshire we've seen cases in Connecticut. Florida Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin. And now there's a digital twenty-seven cases in Canada. So authorities believe the romaine lettuce was from northern and central California. And that fair the likely source of the outbreak of bud. They still have not identified a grower supplier distributor or brand. That doesn't make any sense. Because if

"This was written by at Raymond. This is all nonsense. The bump stock van is always been smokescreen making these devices legal will do nothing to reduce gun violence in the US. That's why become an easy target for the Trump administration banning bump stocks won't make people safer, but it's a simple way to pretend to bump stocks or a novelty few people knew what they were before the Vegas shooting in those who did largely consider them unreliable impractical. There are also other devices that have the same effect on semi automatic weapons making bump stocks, the boogeyman made perfect sense for gun rights activists focusing on them takes attention off the weapons themselves banning them would take away only one method of bump fire. Not true because in the Justice department guidelines that have already been leaked it does not just been bump stocks. Also does the slide fire devices in devices with certain similar characteristics all fall within the prohibition machine gun? So it is not it's not a gigantic thing. And yes, a lot of people didn't know about them before the Mandalay bay shooting. But you have to assume that there are some people who want to commit a mass shooting that did find out about it in the Mandalay bay shooting and would love to have something like that. I would like to make it at least marginally more difficult for them that the same as all of gun control that we need, but we need all the gun control the week and get at this point. I got it. I just I'm incredibly dubious because these people are dishonest in the NRA wouldn't give an inch on anything meaningful hunches, it'll turn out to be me. Yeah. I think it's minor. Yeah. Yeah. I was thinking from that bins explanation being again, it's could be mine. And then it gives them this veil of we've done so much and don't talk. Like, you said the little. Yeah. The little bit of we can get. But then they'll take that. As that's all the we need a little late fuss. Bows, it turned out that we couldn't fix the problem with Romain lettuce. Does Abe romaine lettuce you kill people? Let the romaine lettuce lobby was like the NRA, and they were the most powerful LEGO LEGO. No, right. Okay. I started I was entering into something. So let it so. That that they were the most powerful lobby in the in the green vegetable business, right? They might be. And so then the the romaine lobby was like, you know, what we're going to ban. Aftermarket Caesar dressing. Taking care of it. We got solve this problem that Caesar dressing. Really spices it up we'd elimidate that was the problem. No. Right, right. That's the problem. That's what killing people not the Caesar dressing. My hunch is this is banning this. I'm going to stay away from both. I think I've I think I've made a great. We learned that Nikki coordinates still has thanksgiving stuffing in a refrigerator if anybody's on grades it right next to the romaine lettuce. I'm serious probably supposedly safety eat again. Right. As long as it's not coming from California. Yes. I don't. I haven't shopped since the news broke that they were bringing back Romain lettuce. Yes. If you've been yes. Are you kidding? It'd be put any signs up saying words from no they did not have any at all in my grocery store. No romaine at all. They still don't have any real main in those little those salads that we all love to buy that come in those little plastic buckets. And you choose your own flavor. Anything that has remained. They don't carry those anymore. Now. No Caesar salad at the moment. And now, all right. Well, here's Dr Oz. Dr Oz has an opinion about what lettuce lettuces safety. What is not? I went to a bunch of stores yesterday. Just in preparation for. For the day. I don't think at least in this part of the country. We have clean romaine yet. However by tomorrow the next day if you look at the packaging, and it says it's made in Arizona or southern California the imperial valley, then that's fine. And they have to actually put in this. The new new change the FTC FDA's asking everybody just a right on right on the package. You were the lettuce comes from that lettuce safe to buy you'll be fine. If it's hydroponic if it's grown in inside. It's okay. And most importantly, you can eat other kinds of lettuce. Bib lettuce. Iceberg lettuce. You can eat. Yeah. Baby. Ruge? I have some over here. This is all fine. So the the the FDA evidently, he's asking grocers to go right right on the packaging or to put a sign up or something saying worthy where the lettuce is from. So people feel safe about. Yeah. I imagine HEB or Kroger. They already checked. I'm sure that's the case coming up on five forty here on NewsRadio seven forty KTAR each like to talk to you little bit about the folks at shell FC, you we Bank there..

Everybody said, you're crazy. You're Michelle Yeoh botch. You're just recovered from Crohn's disease. You're gonna end up in the ER, by the way. I did see the pictures, and I will tell you. And no everybody says get rid of the romaine. I was freaked out saw anything green, and you're chomping Chamba a few days before thanksgiving when everyone was shopping when hunts point the fruit and vegetable market sells more fruits and vegetables in any time of the year. What happened the FDA teamed up with the CDC to make this announcement FDA is trying to determine the source of their romaine lettuce. When all of a sudden, the FDA teamed up with the CDC to say get rid of all romaine lettuce. So you think this is a conspiracy off the landing on Mars. Wait, you say to everybody. Why is it that you all fold like achieve camera when the CDC says Romain lettuce tainted everyone throws it out. Oh, the government tells me it's tainted. I gotta throw it out. But the same CDC tells parents to have their kids vaccinated and right away, many will say no and whips a whip up some crazy conspiracy. But they'll fight the FDA. They'll fight this CDC, but refused to do. So overall main lettuce, I did I want the rest of you lost. Where are you? Now. Now one phone call to admit you were wrong one eight hundred eight four eight WABC at one eight hundred eight four eight nine two two two. Okay. You're stretching it a little bit my friend because there were people who were sick. They said get rid of it from central coast of California. And that's Fresno I used to work in Bakersfield. So I know that whole sort of central valley area, and they said that all of those did come from that area by the time they figured it out it happened in October by the time they figure. It out. Why you have you? Obviously, you have a system. That can survive. Let me correct you on that. You're the same guy who grows it was three hundred miles away was Mars. They claiming that dish Romain lettuce was tainted by fecal matter in the fields, and actually our listeners extrapolated that to mean, the illegal aliens picking it when not using porta chance they were eliminating out in the fields, which I've always done, by the way. Yes. Which is sometimes you you get more information. And also that they were growing it over the summer months that they found that it was in those particular areas, they couldn't pinpoint the growers, but they said all the cases came from those areas. I'm I see I come from the school of better be safe than sorry. Let me know. I'd rather than tell me to throw it out. Then that have a death wish like you. Let me could you play that advisory. Again, the cost all of you to throw out all the romaine lettuce him any of you had purchased or stored in your refrigerator for the Thanksgiving Day holiday FDA is trying to determine the source of the. Romaine lettuce. So, but right now, there's been no common grower supplier or brand of romaine lettuce. So we want people to not eat or by any Romain lettuce, and that includes whole head romaine Hart's romaine Roman that could be in a salad mix. And while our investigation continues. So are announcement this morning with all of that age. There is no recommendation for consumers or retailers to avoid using Romain lettuce that is certain to been harvested from areas outside of the central coast growing regions of northern in central California. Which by the way, you laugh at because when you go to a grocery store you go. Okay. Well, where was this grown? Right. You know what I mean? But they claim that because they got everything off the shelves that now we're okay. So. Now, those of you who were in those of you who gave into the FDA loaded up, the coal boards, your blew out Christians last week Curtis is crazy. Well, guess what? Curtis was right, and you were all wrong. And none of you are willing to man up a woman up and admit it. Well, I say better be safe than sorry. You say it was all debts one eight hundred eight nine main. Killed the country of Romania Romanian event tonight. I'm going to ask them for the inside scoop. Yeah. I should become an honorary Romanian. Main export Romain lettuce Marvin in Newburgh. Welcome the Kurdish and Rita. Cosby WABC, Marvin I'm Marvin. I are you guys doing? Curtis. Why would you even take that chance? But anyway, what was I was I proven to be correct. Okay. That was the fifty fifty one of those boxes made it to you. That was contaminated. Okay. Do you? Do you do when you're people get sick in October? None in November. So you mean to tell me one of them couldn't have made it to you. Okay. So Marvin to this day. Now, nobody has gotten sick in November. Nobody has been hospitalized. Nobody is reported that they had to stay at home because it will feeling ill or feeling nauseous. None of that happened in November. So why did the government decide to make that announcement right before thanksgiving when Moore Romain lettuce is sold than any other time of the year? I don't think it was a conspiracy. Spiracy. But I'm saying the same way that I'm standing up for romaine lettuce. And nobody is supporting me because I was right. All of you will stand up for the president. And when he says climate change is fake. It's fake science and you'll see absolutely. He's standing up to you weaving, waving, Trump and romance. That's an interesting stood up main lettuce. Have your son? Would you let your son have the lettuce at the table? You was you think? I think I think that's crazy. I would do that. That's crazy. You can have a death wish. But do not pass it on man. Admit you're wrong. You're a little 'fraidy cat. Marvin Marvin don't do it. Without I actually threw it at why take a chance y'all threw it out. And listen, I threw it out. And I'm glad I threw it out because I side with Marvin you better be safe than sorry. There were people who got sick earlier from it. Yeah. Because guess what it takes them a while to figure out where it came from. Yeah. Well, they haven't yet figured it out. And now, they're blaming illegal aliens fecal matter, which which they've been passing off for years while they've harvest the crops, and then all of a sudden it happens come on Marvin copy a man it all comes back from the guys. Tally the Taliban, the remnants of al-qaeda if we're afraid of romaine lettuce. But now, let me ask you would you give your kids? Do you would give away? I'm for. Not the flu. Don't make those decisions because unfortunately, their mothers, do but I think that is an interesting question, you know, Curtis because you look at the fact that people are concerned about that. But that's also putting something that's toxic. What if what if one of those heads of lettuce, toxic happy, I know. But why would you take a chance because you want to fold and believe everything the federal swimming with sharks and saying? L bite me. Who is right? The CDC may have been right may. On this one. Yeah. Admitted last night late last minute. They got all off the. Hey, not wrong. They admitted that central valley. To be able to say on this one. You were right. And the rest of you know. WABC where you all. Now you all out there last week one eight hundred eight four eight nine two two two..
FDA proposes new labels designating which romaine lettuce is safe
"Federal regulators are now moving to narrow their food safety alert against eating romaine lettuce due to a recent e coli outbreak in eleven states. They're working with the produce industry to pinpoint growing areas are labels, but his KCRW's Eric Roy report consumers still advised to be careful. The E coli outbreak mushroomed in October at the peak of the romaine lettuce harvest in central California counties, like Monterey, and San Benito. But with winter approaching the harvest is shifting to imperial county. East of San Diego and Yuma Arizona next door in. I would industry is spokeswoman for the United fresh produce association says Romain lettuce will have labels showing where it was grown. And the data was harvested, Jennifer Mack says that way consumers will know it's safe macadear says a number of lettuce growers and processors worked out the labeling agreement with the food and Drug administration. The produce association is urging other industry members to follow the same lettuce

"Seven eighty-five nobody eight eighty lettuce over the thanksgiving holiday weekend. Right as we said leading into the holiday weekend. It's a good thing that romaine lettuce in general is not a staple from most people's thanksgiving dinner, ever had a salad for thanksgiving in any form or fashion. But it was all about the romaine lettuce yesterday. They now tell us it's okay to eat some romaine lettuce. Once again, you just have to check the label. Rather than the full blanket. Warning, they gave us last week to no matter what kind whether it's packaged or the hearts or no matter where it came from donate any Rabin. They said. Because the E coli they said yesterday they've they've of traced it back, it appears that the bad romaine was coming from California's central coast region. They said romaine from other areas should soon be labeled with a harvest date, and where it came from. So, you know, it's okay to eat. Yeah. I guess the harvest time for sent the central coast of California was pretty much winding down. And the winter growing areas where the lettuce romaine would now be coming from for most of the country would be from Arizona, Florida, Mexico and California's imperial valley. So I know they'll always label if you go to the produce department, you can see it's a product of the USA a product of Canada product of Mexico. I've never seen anything labeled like, yeah. Grown in Florida are grown in California or grown in Arizona. So supposedly they're going to be I guess trying to identify like that. So we get all get back to eating our Caesar salads..

And of course, the big bowl of romaine lettuce usually served up say as a Caesar salad or some other way, some people I know drizzle there. Romain lettuce with Turkey gravy? Oh my goodness. Yeah. It's an amazing thing. One person though, who came out as very skeptical about the ban on romaine lettuce from the centers for disease control. And of course, your miles. Your mileage may vary. So I'm going to have him on here to explain his position on romaine lettuce. But I'm not encouraging you necessarily get out there and the romaine lettuce, but he is apparently doing it as we speak. He is the founder of the worldwide guardian angels. He's the host of Curtis and Cosby over on WABC in New York City. My very good friend some would say combat a Cheech Curtis. Yes. Hello curtis. Welcome to the show. How are you? Oh, well, that's why I'm putting my hands across the salad bar because I want you and your listeners to support me and my support Romain lettuce. Do you not understand that the centers for disease control? The CDC have admonished people not to sell the romaine not to possess, the romaine and certainly not to eat the romaine. Oh, there's no doubt. But why is it when the CDC says Romain lettuce painted everyone? Immediately has a knee jerk reaction that goes, oh, we got to throw it out. We got to throw it out. But the same CDC tells parents to have their kids back sedated right away, many will say no, and they went up some crazy conspiracy. This is anti Romanian. I am not a nationalist. Yes. This is the resistance I to get rid of Ceausescu to poets to the back of his head and now the resistance to eliminating romaine lettuce, but remember this. And this is something you need to stand out during Kelly Kelly. They're blaming the illegal aliens. Elliot's still we blame everything on your legal Elliott. Well, I don't know. Is it possible that the people who are bum rushing the border ri-? Are you washing it or you just like taking it right out of the right out on a shopping cart and chowan down on it. No, it's white for mother herself and no salad dressing. Please. I'll eat it raw like a, man. I seem to remember a speech that John Kennedy gave what was it that? He said there in Berlin. What was it that they did John Kennedy said, oh, that's right JFK? And in fact, the anniversary when he said. Been berliners. We are. All right, say fine. I Romania we all Romanians now. Now, wait a minute. Hold on a second. The CDC comes out. They got this. Warning. You know, we we know the global warming report came out on Friday afternoon. It's possible to global warming is causing the Romanian poisonings and a number of things. It's also possible. Putin could be doing and he's Lord knows. He's done some pretty bad stuff. So all right. So courtesy you talked me into it. I'm gonna put my hands across the salad bar out to you. I'm tempted to pick up the spinach salad, I'm tempted to pick up the three bean salad. I'm tempted to pick up the Anticosti by the little nervous picking up the romaine Curtis. I'm gonna have to man up here. And I you know, I have to tell you went to bowl. I'm ready to battle you over the croutons. Once we get past the croutons, we dive into the Romanian lettuce. There is nothing more than you should be eating out to pro. Romaine lettuce because without it, the California economy, the seventh-largest in the glow, we'll suddenly fragment and you'll end up in your bitch without Romain lettuce, while it's a very it's a very compelling case that you have made their my friend a very compelling case on on a related note. I have to ask you one question as people know, you're very famous for your red beret, the red beret you wear a top your head morning noon. And I think I think it's I think it's twenty four seven it's on your head Curtis. I understand you in a restaurant recently in New York City and the proprietor of set restaurant told you to take the beret off what happened. That's right and John Gotti senior land. How he in queens a guy named Bruno who runs a restaurant for mobsters talking on lobsters told me I'd have to extricate that were right from my head. And everybody knows. I don't do that. And as you said, I do everything in the break. That's right. Triple X rated everything it never comes off my head. But I had my two youngest sons with me. So we work. People having a fit. What I did. I looked said. I wasn't born with a rep Ray on my head, and I will die with the referee on my head doing this for my son's, but you you'll see. A ski. Oh my God. Why curtis? I'm going to recommend you have some more romaine their dial. You know, it was great. I didn't end up with two bullets in the back of my head while I was having my positive is that very good point, very good point. All right Curtis. Leila where do people where people go to support? The cause of the worldwide guardian angels where you help keep people. So safe guardian angels dot org and understand we will be searching morning, noon and night for all remaining won't bane. The lettuce had five heads of romaine lettuce. And look I took a look at comeback ticking. I suffered some colitis cohn's disease. I've been shot with five point bullets at look at me. I'm still standing up evil medicine conspiracy that the FDA created about I'll be Lubbock Romain lettuce. Join me say romaine lettuce. Wow. You keeping that romaine lettuce. Give you run into the bathroom a lot Curtis. I'm just saying just to make sure you find yourself reporter saying 'cause it can be tough there on the trains the subway. Okay. Remember bread? It's still a man's man. Don't have that romaine lettuce with any kind of salad dressing. French not Russian not organic none. You got it, man. I appreciate you Curtis. God bless be safe out there. My hands. Of course, the salad bar. Viva romania. All right, buddy. I'll talk to you soon. Courtesy was out there looking lettuce. If I do a bad thing to throw it with him now in the hands across the salad bar commitment. You're going to have to you know, you know, what he said once you once you pass the the croutons. And I know this is tough. I'm wondering I mean, I do have I have I have in in my bag that I that I carry with me to work. I have a head of romaine lettuce, and I don't know whether or not out heated I've been carrying it around for a couple of weeks. So I'm kind of hoping maybe it's. Before the infections. That's not refrigerator. And it's just it's in my bag. Let me tell you something in all seriousness. Very good point by Curtis. You people believe the CDC where they tell you donate Romain lettuce 'cause you're going get E coli, but you're all like anti vaccines. You don't believe the CDC on the vaccines. You guys got to get more consistent the government or not eight hundred seven sixty K F, eight hundred seven sixty five three six two. Should I should? I eat the romaine lettuce or not. "Would have been nice for you to give us a little bit more specifics or have somebody on the clock this weekend? Figuring it out. So we can move forward. Instead, we're being told we'll have more information on Monday. So at least thirty two people have gotten sick thirteen. I've been hospitalized as a result of an outbreak that they believe have been connected to romaine lettuce scored the FDA so far eleven states have seen cases, including California, which ten. The latest illness onset was on October thirty first so the FDA said people should be Romain lettuce until more is known about the source contaminated lettuce the status of the outbreak. And again, we won't know more until after the holiday they say a trace back investigation was underway to find the source of the romaine lettuce. Consumed by individuals who became ill. So what are they worried about the whereabouts equally? He. You could afford to get on your lettuce. If it gets contaminated by sewage. So that's pretty messed up. A situation. Now, we're being told by leave that the FDA has appreciated the cooperation of the Californian Arizona leafy green marketing agreements on our advice to voluntarily withdraw. Potentially contaminated romaine from the market. So that's voluntarily recall. Romain lettuce are the ones where it's like darker green. And they're longer heads iceberg lettuce or more round romaine is kind of longer kind of. Yeah. That's sexier Romain lettuce as much sexier stock lettuce. If you go to. A fancy restaurant, and they charge twenty dollars for the salad. You'll be like, wait, please. What they'll do is. They'll throw a couple like pieces our hearts of romaine lettuce and like drizzle, some dry could make a twenty dollar salad. I really should open up a restaurant. I see what these people do. That's a really gets me about these fancy restaurants. I not going off on a tangent here. But every now, and then I'll go to a fancy restaurant. I don't really like to spend that kind of money, but sometimes somebody else's pain. So I go, and you know. At my house, all by some chicken. All maybe soak it in some teriyaki or some veteran, garlic or whatever. I don't know that costs me what maybe five six bucks for that piece of chicken. Yet, you go to a fancy restaurant, and they have a fifty nine dollar plate. Of chicken. And I'm like, what are they doing to that chicken? Add an extra fifty four dollars to the price. Well, it is a little tender. It's less than mine. It's smaller. May played it nicer. Chicken. What what the hell's going on here? Maybe the lead some couscous. Maybe it'll be a nice little slice of romaine lettuce. But I don't know. I just don't get how restaurants do things, but we paid for now. We're going to pay for it. I don't blame him. Right. So that's what's going on there. We'll keep you posted. A Colorado woman pleads guilty to embezzling girl scout cookie prophets. A western Colorado woman has pleaded guilty because she embezzled and took the money out of her daughter's troop funds, the daily centennial or sentinel reported Wednesday that thirty two year old Jennifer Hooton of Clifton pleaded guilty to felony theft September thirteenth that was ordered to pay four hundred dollars of restitution as part of a defer judgment, the defer judgment meets our case will be dismissed if she meets court ordered conditions in the next two years. She was arrested after other scout leaders discovered a Bank account that should have had about twenty four hundred dollars. A cookie prophets was overdrawn and. An arrest warrant affidavit says told officers she had planned to return the money for the theft was discovered. So she borrowed the girl scouts money. Davis said she said other troop leaders check for one thousand dollars after police interviewed her you know, I always wondered about that. Because you know, in movies, they would make jokes about lugging girl scout, and I was a girl scout for a little bit. I was a brownie. And then it was a girl scout. And I remember my mom always freaking out about us like selling cookies and stuff because of the money, you know, we don't want to be responsible for the money because if it gets lost, you know, people will think we stole it all, and if my mom didn't have the extra money, she wouldn't want to have to replenish, something that I lost. So if I did get mugged on the school bus or something that means my parents have to come out of pocket and they were poor. They didn't have the extra money. The last thing they needed is to have to come up with an extra two hundred dollars. And so I never really sold girl scout cookies, I never really kind of got involved with that why? Because again, the fear of something could happen to the money. Just bad luck. Somebody stealing from us, whatever. So when you actually have somebody do that. And maybe she really borrowed it. Maybe she's like, look, I just need to borrow it. And that'll put the money back before anybody notices, no the girl scouts is a big organization. And I'm I'm amazed at all the great work they deal, but do not underestimate the girl scouts, okay? Estimate any woman for that matter we watch the money. We know exactly what's going on. You know, I tell my husband has all the time. I may not bounce checkbook, and I might not log into the Bank. But I could tell if one penny is withdrawn don't ask it's just the six cents. It's because we're nesters we know where every twig in that nest is so if one little babies snap happens. Our V is gonna be all up in your clue ak- to put it lightly. So don't mess.

And I'm certainly thankful for all of the listening audience in the Red Eye Radio family, our listening audience in Birmingham, Alabama, where we're originating from on talk ninety nine five and most importantly for my purposes, I am thankful for you. Andrea for me personally. Yes. After we finish this. You may not be a lot of together time here. I wanna thank Brian and Alan back at home base in Dallas, Texas where Red Eye typically originates for making this such an easy experiences. We Saab in for Gary, and Eric who are spending time with family and friends. I would note that tomorrow's show is the best of program the next I believe is best. I've as well as they get to the holiday weekend. Gary and Eric back in action on a live show Sunday and Monday morning on Red Eye Radio. The telephone numbers are as follows eight six six ninety redeye. Eight six six ninety. Red. I will get you all of your calls some of which have been holding for some time, and we'll have some fun with thanksgiving holiday in the final hour that we have with Red Eye Radio like like word where do you? What do you think is the most popular destination on this one of the busiest travel weeks ever, and apparently is going to be crazy? I mean, the economy is going gangbusters despite the stock market of the last several days, and let's just say several weeks the volatility in the stock market the economy is doing so well a lot of folks are taking money out of their wallets. And they're spending it on travel. This holiday we have a list of the busiest airports, the most congested cities as predicted on a record-breaking travel holiday wherever Brian Kane is going that's going to be the most congested and busiest airports slash holiday travel thoroughfare in America. All right. Eight six six mentioned the numbers. Eight six six ninety redeye we mentioned this Romains Boletice situation. And I don't know what I mean crisis. I don't know what to call it. I. You know for romaine lettuce, certainly you're not allowed to eat any of it. They're suggestion. You throw it all out every bit of it. If it's blended in with some other type of lettuce green leafy throw it out. That's a lot of wasted romaine, isn't it? There have been a number of individuals across eleven states that have reportedly gotten sick. I believe thirty two separate individuals have gotten sick in the centers for disease control or saying we don't have pinpointed location as to where this Romain lettuce is coming from. We do know that it is the result of romaine lettuce so air on the side of caution as you proceed forward, and we don't even give credit to Canada, they have eighteen people who've been sick from this. So thirty two in the United States at eleven states eighteen people in Canada, E coli, I'm not going to give you the lowdown on what that illness involves whatever it is. You're imagining probably at least one person has had kidney failure as a result of this bad awful. I mean, but you are talking nausea vomiting. Yep. That's it out of all in a way. You can't even. Cetera etc. To comment on that David joins us on Red Eye Radio out of Phoenix. We appreciate David's called, David. Welcome to Red Eye. Thank you very much. I want all everybody from Alabama. The state. Twas. Of the finest people never had the opportunity to meet all each Nike's. We max headroom ING on me. David. You're doing the max headroom thing. I don't know. Why here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna put David on hold real quick. We we think we like him a lot. Yeah. I'm gonna try to pick back up on David here. David. Let's see if we got it fixed. Take two. And david. David will call us back. No worries there David David wanted to comment on the romaine lettuce situation and why we would unilaterally declare all romaine bad. When only thirty two people have been have been sick or reported sick from an and I think it's a matter of being able to pinpoint the origins of the romaine lettuce as to why you would have to figure that out. Right. Right. Right. I mean, FDA CDC they're all over this. And the head of the FDA is expressed frustration. He's like we are equally as frustrated. There are ways to trace it back to the exact source. They just haven't pinpointed it yet. I think we've got David back on the line. David my synopsis ising the purpose of your call accurately. Yeah. This is totally ridiculous. We've got people outta hundred millions of Americans sick and states, and they're pulling every romaine of the United States. This is an overreaction. Oh. I grew up on the farm. Butchering? It wasn't non stainless steel wasn't sanitized. He didn't get sick. Sanitize this work to a point. Where shut down a tree over thirty two people. I had a cold week. Boycott colts. Well, if we know David I I mean, I understand there's there's a level of overreaction that perhaps goes on. And I appreciate your call or stabbing a little trouble with your phone until you're the one that gets the bad batch in your near death for a few days. Now, we can do more of this on a voluntary basis of the CDC would simply give us the information. And I mean, I don't know that the CDC is going house to house, and forcing the reclamation of all romaine bought over the last month. You can eat it. You can eat it. If you want to romaine grabbers, you try it. And if it turns out, and I understand what he's saying to how ever if you're just on the on the beginnings of this and more is going out and their stance to be the number. I mean, I know it's thirty two out of out of a whole country. Still still though if I'm the one that gets the bad bag. You're not going to hear the end of it. Well, and they're simply telling you on the advice of the centers for disease control to throw this stuff out. You choose to eat it that's on libertarian. Polly. Yeah. I mean, you can do what you wanna do romaine in the privacy of your own home. Whatever. Now that said David I will say on the other side of things there's this thanksgiving is tomorrow. Tomorrow. And when I was growing up in Georgia. My grandparents would cook thanksgiving dinner, my grandmother, primarily, and we did not have a big house. We were not affluent by any stretch of the imagination on the back porch. So what I would say is that there was enough food for the family that it kind of a well-made the refrigerator and on the back porch of my grandparents house was an old freezer. One of those pop top freezers standalone freeze, the chest that the freezer chest exactly on it. And every thanks giving. Now in Georgia outside of Augusta Georgia. It did not typically get extremely cold on thanksgiving. I can remember just one or two off the top of my head where you saw temperatures in the thirties. More often than not temperatures or well into the fifties. If not the sixties and everything's giving and every Christmas, we're putting MAC and cheese. Creamy based items Turkey. Pie and cake is set it out there on the chess on the back of the chess, Shannon, sits there all day long. And when you get a little hungry, you go, and you get you some, and I mean, it's like the summertime picnic your biggest challenge is to put some sort of netting over it to keep the flies off of it. But you leave that food out there all the time. And that's not the safest bet now, I don't think this was the best option. Never probably not. So we learned from that number one day for food poisoning tomorrow tomorrow thanksgiving now, let sowing the pig pendulum back the other way for a second. I do believe and I've long argued on our regular radio show, David in Birmingham. The Matnani show on talk ninety nine five Avalon along argued that the overuse of this antibac- junk that people use constantly my radio partner. Andrea Lindenberg is holding of a gold VAT of it right now this this obsession of mine happened after I survived the flu last year. And and I figured what the heck I'll use it. When I'm here at work. I would agree with you. I'm a longtime believer David that we over use that junk, we don't allow our immune systems to build up some sense of immunity to some of the bacteria and nastiness that's out there and in doing so we make ourselves more susceptible to the really bad stuff. I do believe that people would stop sneezing and coughing on each other. You coughing sneezing. The crook of your arm now, not your hand. Because what do you do with your hand? Yeah. Been doors touch things do it in the crook of the army mean you people I don't know snobby. No, you people people if if your mom adding taught you that that's how you do it. Right. Into the crux of the armed cover it with your hand cover your call first news with your hands. Now, we don't do that our on the subject while we're speaking of pies, and and getting a little off the news of the day, and why not is the day before thanksgiving. And I'm convinced that this individual is a troll. But there's some schmuck or a socialist on social media that has pretended to create a national map of the favored pies of America. And he has regionalized of this map. And he's demonstrating, and I believe that this guy is an anti pumpkin Asst. Because nowhere does he have pumpkin pie as the favored by one in America. During this time of year. The fella is a meteorologist his name is Brad I won't give his last name. I haven't asked to but he has a map showing the favorite Thanksgiving Day pie by region. Okay. Hit me. All right. Would you care to guess in the northeastern corridor really starting with South Carolina, North Carolina Virginia and on up the northeastern corridor? What the favored pie would be for those north easterners. Pecan pecan is grandpa. Thank you gold star. That is right. Pecan pie is the favorite by of those folks. I don't have any issue with that. That's that's fine. Delicious. I don't know what to do with this. But in the American midwest to include nice meet include states such as Kansas Iowa. Kentucky Tennessee, Missouri. Michigan. Okay. Let me guess Minneapolis or Minnesota. I should say mincemeat is kind of random. So I'm gonna add banana pudding. Banana pudding his incorrect. Coconut cream? Oh, that's delicious thanksgiving. Yes. I've had that before coconut cream for a mom from the mid west. You know, don't Chanel. Well, I mean, I guess that would stand to reason if Iraq South Dakota thanksgiving all right out in California, New Mexico. Arizona stretching up into Oregon Washington DC, Idaho and Montana the pie of choice. According to this fella, who I think is full of it is sweet potato. Although I do like the good sweet potato ventured more the southeast for sweet potato, then we have the fourth region of the country, including Nevada. Colorado, the Dakotas, Wyoming blackberry. And then there's the American southeast. This is with a crime exists, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia and Florida. The suggestion is by this gentleman that the favorite pie of thanksgiving is key lime. That's an accurate. That is simply incorrect. It's wrong. It's fake knee lime. I mean, maybe in Florida. Maybe I don't think this guy knows a sold in Alabama. I don't believe a soul would say that they prefer key lime pie on Thanksgiving Day above I dunno, pumpkin, pecan, sweet potato or my favorite. What's your favorite pie, pumpkin pumpkin for thanksgiving? Absolutely. My favorite pie over the holiday season is a pie called that. My grandmother always made. It was Japanese fruit pie. A delicious choices. Well, don't know if you know anything about Japanese food pies got coconut raisins. It has nuts in it as well. Delicious far favorable to the plano pecan. I don't care for pecan pie. Let me tell you something else about your key lime. Green coloring. A legit key lime pie is kind of like a yellow lightish. Yeah. Light yellow. All right. So there's that pie talk with that. And Omni as we sub in for Eric and Gary on Red Eye Radio. Our telephone number's eight six six ninety redeye that's eight six six ninety redeye. Nineteen after the hour. You're listening to Red Eye Radio. It probably started in a way with this. President responsibilities have been placed upon us Harry Truman in nineteen forty seven. When the national Turkey federation, I donated to the president ally Turkey in a White House ceremony and from then as the years went on president started issuing pardons for the Turkey and seventy one years later, a very special day at the White House. President Trump continuing the pardoning tradition this year people visiting the White House website could vote on which one of the two turkeys from South Dakota peas or carriage would get the main pardon. This was a fair election. Unfortunately, carrots, refused to concede and demanded a recount, and we're still fighting with carrots. So the president decided to give them both pardons saving them from the dreaded dinner table..

"One of the things that you know in a sound by you capture about e coli outbreaks and south Manila be found on Turkey's. You wonder what does this mean? His write it off as another scare maybe something you shouldn't worry about. But think of this. All of these outbreaks more known about it October, maybe even earlier than that far back you September or maybe August. And yet they're just releasing the information now is the of confirmed these E coli outbreaks are causing people to get sick. Now, they recalled a lot of hamburger they recalled a lot of other meats and meat sources. And now Americans are being told not to eat any Romain lettuce amid concerns over another outbreak of E coli is what the Senator disease control said yesterday throw out your throughout your e coli laced Romain lettuce, and the reason why they're saying this did they say, okay. That's what the CDC saying. They're saying you should throw away any Romain lettuce retailers and restaurants should not sell or serve it. Because at least thirty two people in eleven states have gotten sick from the same strain of E coli in the outbreak. Now the onus is began in October. Hospitalized at least thirteen people including one with a kind of kidney failure. No deaths have been reported and no recalls have been issued. They are asking for a voluntary throw out. And not to use the romaine lettuce. Now this food safety alert came out two days before thanksgiving. And now here we are on thanksgiving eve and consumers are being told to avoid all types of romaine lettuce and also salad mixes if they're unsure whether it includes romaine lettuce. The CDC also told Americans to clean refrigerators where the remain had been stored. Clean. All containers were the romaine lettuce had come contact clean refrigerators with bleach if need be sterilizing clean with hot water and bleach the entire fridge. If you feel the you need to get everything out of there. Consumers who have any type of romaine lettuce in their home should not eat it and she'd throw it away. That's what the CDC said. In a statement. Okay. CDC also said this this is what is bizarre tell me that this doesn't sound like this has been organized not the government's doing it not that. I don't want to cast any aspersions on the government. But I was talking earlier in the last hour about when I was talking about a biological attack on the United States now thinking about this the CDC. Says that they do not know or they do not have a common source with it's contaminated. Lettuce has come from. Okay. They don't identify a common source. I don't know why they're not. They're not why they probably aren't because they don't want. They don't want a certain company or a certain group or whatever to have us whose competence in their food, and he could harm the economy if we lost confidence in the food supply. But here's the deal. According to the CDC. The strain of e-coli that's affecting people right now. Listen to this. It had the same DNA fingerprint as an outbreak tied to leafy greens in the United States and Romain lettuce in Canada late last year. And that killed one person and infected twenty five people in fifteen states. So this is another DNA. This is another e coli outbreak similar to one we had late last year. And it has the same DNA fingerprint. So it has the same DNA fingerprint. They can match it somehow. Right. And this would mean what it's coming from an animal, maybe or perhaps a human being. Meaning that fecal material from an animal or a human being has gotten into the romaine lettuce, and it's spread or an entire field has been infected with E coli as there's been a lot of like sewage or something being used on the on the on the romaine lettuce. See this is what really gets me. I don't know. How we can assess this. But the e coli strain they've been they've been tracing and looking into in fact, they were sixteen eighteen people. In Ontario and Quebec that were sickened by the same e coli strain late last year. So ten cases have been reported in California. That's the state with the highest number of sick. People seven were identified in Michigan. Other states reported cases are Connecticut. Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Wisconsin. Now symptoms include severe stomach cramps diarrhea often, bloody diarrhea and vomiting others include. Well, you you fall ill better within a week or ten days after you've been exposed to it. So another thing that happens. Ten percent of those who get e-coli. Develop something called it's called the hemolytic uremic syndrome. Okay. But that's a that's the thing that causes kidney failure, right? So we have to be very vigilant and aware, but what gets me is is not only are they not able. Pinpoint the place or the 'cause we're these with these Romain lettuce hearts, or whatever they are are being recalled and why they can't find a common supplier of Turkey's now that are showing signs of salmonella. Now, we had Derek call the program. He says he works at a store, and he said that he believes it's Jennie O. And he said that that's what his store recalled was see no common supplier, the centers for disease control and prevention says, well, we don't know we can't find the common commonality the supplier, but we have managed to trace a DNA marker in the e-coli. This this all stacking up to something. I don't think we wanna hear about what's going on. Because you know, I think it's interesting that we're hearing about this. Now just prior to a holiday where we eat a lot. We have a family feast. And so the question I have is could be what we're witnessing here. It's something called unforgiven unconventional terror attacks meaning that well like back into the Bhagwan Rosh cult they delivered salmonella poisoning to the dowels and Oregon because they wanted to be able to win the Wasco election. So they poison salad bars using salmonella, and it was the the first bioterrorism attack in the United States in single artist bioterrorist attack in the United States history. Now Americans rarely consider the potential for our enemies to attack our nation's agricultural infrastructure and food supply with biological weapons. But they should agriculture security is national security, and we need to realize this that our agriculture and our agribusiness is very important to the lifeline. It's a lifeline to our system. Our food supply is very important to our economy, very important to our national security and back when we were at the peak of the war on terror. It was reported that US navy seals found a list of pathogens and schematics the terrorists allegedly planned to use to produce bio weapons in addition to six human pathogens, ten pathogens targeted food, six targeted livestock and poultry and four targeted crops. So any threat to our country's food. Production security would have devastating economic social and political impacts. The agriculture sector in the United States is one trillion. It's a one trillion dollar business. It employs a a approximately nine point two percent of American workers in two thousand twelve domestic animal agriculture livestock, poultry production, it generated approximately one point eight million jobs. Three hundred and forty six billion dollars in total economic output and sixty billion in household income more than two thirds of existing emerging and reemerging plant and animal pathogens can be transmitted to people and as such they present significant threats to human health. Now, if our food supply just happened to be infiltrated by some sort of biological pathogen. We would lose confidence in the food supply. And we could collapse the economy. This would be a very slow burn. Attack. It's called unconventional terrorism. Okay. That's what they classify very been many reasons. These been many reasons why these diseases show up in the food, and in most cases, they are related instances where farm animals like pigs deer cows defecate on the plants in cases, where immigrant workers have done the same thing. And again, this is usually controlled with with recalls. However, the CDC is urging people to throw out all romaine lettuce. Am I have to assume that means that there have been several locks or other fields that have been contaminated in general? So you this is a manufactured crisis or there has been a potential for an unconventional biological attack on the foodstuffs consumed during thanksgiving and soon to be the Christmas holiday. What a what a what a time to do this to the United States. Mean what is happening with the Turkey and lettuce scare is very disturbing considering the idea of biological crisis..

"On news talk five fifty KFI. You are listening to the conservative circus ringmaster James t here's something else that I'm thankful for I'm thankful that. I am a carnivore. I don't eat the vegetables. This room romaine lettuce. This e coli outbreak. Right on the eve of thanksgiving. The CDC is telling people to throw their greens away. If you're not sure if you don't know what Romain lettuce says don't take any chances any lettuce throw it out. Washout, the bands at the lettuce was held in wipe off the counters. Thirty two people have been infected with the outbreak strain. Spending reported across eleven states. And what's bad is? I mean, we have a lot of romaine lettuce comes out of the Yuma area. Does it doesn't it. This is going to be this is going to be pretty bad on them. If you do not know what kind of lettuce is in your house is recommended that you throw it all away. Here's what's so funny about this. They think that is coming from role romaine lettuce. But they're not sure. So if you're not sure why would you come out with such a, you know, forceful a forceful forceful report. They can't tell you where it's coming from. It's believe a lot of these farms in their in their pursuit to go organic. Are using different chemicals or whatever. We got this new strain out there. But see that's something. I just don't have to worry about because I don't. Eat greens. I think the vegetables are bad for you. Here's a great example. Eating vegetables, you need fiber that you don't actually you. You don't need some type agrees. Get the nutrients actually knowledge, you don't everything I need everything. Your body needs is in a nice piece of state. Piece of a rib eye steak with a lot of marveling. And once I found out where a couple of great smoke houses are here in the city. I guess what? I do. That's what I do until I get my own little smoker going on. I have to take a Ross to a place in town where you have to wait in line every single day where they opened up a new location got to check that out. I got my main stated I go to every single day. They try this up trying to offer me vegetables or different types of barbecue, sauces and mess up the smoky genius of your meat never. So one of the things I'm enjoying about tomorrow is like I'll have meat Turkey. I'll have I'll have a some hammer or something like that. I should make myself a little, you know, Rosa. Right. I should do that. My wife made a real sea other day man, she had like because usually when she cooked something in the crock pot is dry hill. Can't eat it. She's a. But it was in the bible our dinner. I'm like, oh, no damn. I wanna eat this. She thought I look on my face on my gay. No, Honey is great. Potholes. That's great. But see she did something different this time. She she. I don't know what kind of recipe she get in there. But that was it was beautiful. It was tender. She'd kind of like was like pulled Bork. Poop, pork was pulled beef outstanding. She's coming my way. Anyway. Anyway, all that. Because you cannot eat Romain lettuce avoid that they're saying that this is the big outbreak. And that they can cause a lot of problems real quick update. The we had another race that was called a meal love out in Utah. She lost to a democrat. We have a very close race going on in Mississippi right now we've talked about that yesterday a little runoff action going on. But people are still salty over the loss in Georgia. The loss in Georgia, which is hilarious to me. And when we talk about voter fall week it caucus spiracy nuts. But when Democrats talk about the voter fraud is like it's like, they're speaking the gospel truth, make no mistake. The former secretary of state was deliberate and intentional in his actions. I know the eight years of systemic disenfranchisement disinvestment and incompetence had its desired effect on the electoral process in Georgia. You don't have to read very deeply recognize it what Stacey Abrams said so poignantly last night. Is that fundamentally we have returned to a nation that has decided it should be very difficult for people of color to vote and that one party can actually use its power of government to interfere with voters selecting? They're next leaders. That's really what happened in Georgia. It happened. It was racially driven. If she'd had a fair election. She already would have won. Let's see how the Democrats do. This just indignant and playing a race card and Abrahams she conceded, but she didn't really could see. It was stolen from her. Meanwhile, we're sitting here watching voter fraud like in Florida, we're watching a totally red district in the county in California. Go blue magically ten days after the election. It's it's it's it's like bizarro world, the double standards. We have a lot of action going on in on the border. We have a border patrol officer who was found not guilty after the Obama administration targeted him. We're gonna talk to someone very close to the situation. Both situations as six thirty five twenty seven minutes after.

"This year. If you're not careful bad topics of conversation may not be the only thing coming back up. The CDC says consumers should not eat Romain lettuce any Romain lettuce. And if you have romaine lettuce, you should probably throw it away. A total of thirty two people nationwide including thirteen have been hospitalized or infected with e coli than has been traced to. Romaine lettuce, but they've not been able to trace it to a specific patch of romaine lettuce. The public health agency of Canada has identified an additional eighteen in that country positive on E coli if you have any brand or type of romaine lettuce, you should throw it away. Even if you ate some and did not get sick. So that's what I was about to say, I've got some it's been sitting in the icebox now about four days, and I ate some but three days ago when I'm okay? Symptoms which usually begin about three to four days after consuming, the bacteria include watery or blood diarrhoea fever, abdominal cramps nausea, vomiting most people infected by the bacteria. Get better within five to seven though, this particular strain of e-coli tends to cause more severe illness. The big problem is is is. Dehydration all brands of romaine lettuce are suspected because no common grower, supplier, or distributor, a brand has been identified. Watch out for your your Caesar salad might be killer Caesar salad. Bob. Your Caesar salad may say a tube radio. Go ahead. Bob, you're on with Leigh Matthews. Yes. League thanks for taking my call. Just two quick items. I was on the equal pay equal work that with exception of like a seniority pay where they're paying you extra for X number of years of experience. Why shouldn't there be equal pay? Equal work. Doesn't matter. If somebody is a green or orange or white or if they're told short or woman or man or alien or whatever. Well, if you are a woman, and you are being discriminated against that's against the law. Didn't they get equal pay? It's against the law. Bob, if you are being discriminated against because you're a woman it is already against the law. Okay. Okay. If you're being discriminated against because you are black. It is already against the law. If you are being discriminated against because you're gay it's already against the law. Why do we need more laws forcing employers to do things? Okay. So now, I understand you're saying that we don't need any more regulations or laws to ensure that happens. No. I'm just saying we don't need equal pay for equal work because we don't have equal work. What do you do Bob? I'm retired. But I see you don't work. I work a lot. So should you? And I be paid the same. No. But by equal pay equal work. I'm talking about that if two people are indeed doing the same job that they should be paid equally. And the law already says that okay? And that's where I was getting back now, I understand you. Thank for. Okay. Okay. I thought you were being combative, Bob, I really did. Because and here's the other thing the premise of the equal pay equal work thing is that well women aren't getting paid as much as men that's what that is cold language four. And the reason that if you were to look at statistics and women are getting paid less because there's fewer women in the workplace for other reasons. Other than that, they you know, the they're not being hired. There are other things that are keeping women out of the workplace. There are other things keeping men out.
