Oh my gosh all right well. This is another year round beer offering from them. The magic is in their masterful combination of hops. That create this ridiculously good. A the strange thing is how they get as much of it as they do into cans before drinking it all themselves. Ha ha okay. Six point five percent ab ab and they are using warrior mosaic simcoe pellet citra and leaf and cry you. Oh wow so. They're using all versions of the hall. This is this might be the best one so far. I haven't even tasted it but it smells beautiful i mean don't you wanna wear this like all day. Long poured them my shirt. Wow so yeah pardon us audience for a moment just in savor this beer luxuriate. What was ab on this this. Yeah that's perfect. It is every seven once you get to seven percent on beers there. You know you still have really good ones. Obviously from what. We've already tried but sixty six around. The six is is where you can have several beers you know several pints of beer in instill enjoy not feel too. You know wasted. But i because i definitely would like to drink several of these. Yeah yeah three in a row in that the rule like if you can drink three in a row and still want want some more. Yeah we'll have more thoughts on the spirit. Just a minute means. I would like literally every year ever had. Hey welcome back everyone. Today's episode is. Oh yeah oh. You weren't talking to me where i was talking to our listeners. There that's a big assumption. Whatever so. Today's episode is a brewery takeover of fat heads bureau mike and which originated in pittsburgh pennsylvania but has now moved to hieaux. One is based in ohio. I should say well it's in both. Okay well both. International consider pennsylvania and ohio international. Her bicoastal mary. The break was the strange magic. I wow there. I mean ladies and gentlemen mrs jeff. Lynne imposter imposter. Take it to the rock and roll all right. Hey there and can't be at north. Olmstead is really close to cleveland. Where the rock and roll hall fame miss out there and visited. I think we saw all right. Well we could go to southfield or south pittsburgh house itself really. That would probably make those guys bad when five parts of the state does pitch as pennsylvania's only state where the east and west sides hate each other's much. You guys obviously do. We don't hate each other. Do you look down on them. Though i look now stay very different. Says this air. The great thing about my home state is the uniqueness of the east side and the west side. they are two completely different. So when did you decide to run for office. Am trying to be nice. "Destroyed him. He destroyed him and got him out of the van. They can mandak drinking morton and then we also got to talk with his daughter. Bryant one of brian jones's children his daughter. Barbara anna was with so it made it a different episode for us. It taught us to do some different things as podcasters also hard to believe but taught us so much about the whole thing with brian jones and how he died in what the circumstances were still one of my favorites to listen to any time. I want to dig into a a a now. Older episode of the podcast is the brian jones project on the unbalanced history of rock and roll my number two to add to that i had so much fun with that one. Our interview a stash was complete trip. He's an interesting cat. Very well traveled a very high in the royalty of europe as old miracle ear of money like money so old that it doesn't even get mentioned on the list of rich people and his mother i think was swiss royalty dass unlike. It's just amazing. So i can put it all together. It's all available on the blog where we had the full interviews and then we put together an episode For the for for the podcast The other thing about all that was that it caused us to take a different look at how to put together a podcast by interviewing different people and picking things that they said to put in and how to put them all together when you look at it on a screen. The mixing screen is one of the most bizarre looking things that we've put together in in one hundred episodes so that's why it's my number two and also because you guys really seem to like it. We'll let me know. Am i number one is did you gotta tell me. Gotta tell me please thinking this is probably your number one as well when we heard about the book. Remain in love coming out. We kinda threw out a feeler to try to get an interview with the guy that we both admire Half of the greatest rock and roll. Couple that i know talking about chris france and his lovely bride team away. Chris's book is just done. Incredibly well raised his profile recently. There's a lot going on in fact. Chris recently said marcus that he doesn't understand all these excuses for reasons. Why the talking heads can't get back together and do some touring when everything gets right. Did you see that. I did not see that but i think that's after a three and a half to get him back on the podcast. You talked a little bit about your time at compass point and in the bahamas and there was some great little stories that came about because we didn't episode about the clash and during that time at compass point. Read about three in your book. You talk about the time. You're spending encompass point mick jones. Big audio dynamite was there. And we didn't episode about the clash and the history of the clash and we began with that period of time in the bahamas. When jones drummer drove around the bahamas looking for mic to find him so that he could patch things up. And then i read it about three hundred three hundred one three hundred and two in your book that he asked you where mic was so he could patch things up. And it's just so mind blowing these city pockets of people in how everybody's connected in one weird little way or another and it's just. It's marvelous as far as putting everything together and into perspective. So do you remember that time period. Like when joe came by and how you felt what was that like it was so funny it was real early in the morning and tina and i we had a young son. You know a toddler and so we were up early. There's a knock on the door. And i opened the door. I thought who the heck sat this morning at. I opened the door. And there was joe strimmer standing there with like no shoes sand on his feet and like a dripping bathing suit and he said i lost my luggage a few i i said i wanted. Joey said well. Well i actually. I'm looking for know where he hit where he might be where he is. And i said yeah i know exactly where he is and i. I took him down there which was one hundred yards away. Then we we took them all out on our motorboat. We had a little motorboat to tonight. Took them out on the boats and we had a wonderful time together and it looked like they were getting along great. But i i think mick jones didn't want to go back to the clash after what had happened and it's a shame first off. He's he's f o p. He's friend to podcast. He's been in touch with us. In ben just great fact. He said he'd hocus upper when tina puts out her book in the new year and they are just a lovely couple. Who continued at you. Well we wish them happy new year and all the best say. Don't meet your heroes. Thanks maybe disppointed. Well he just underlined that how wrong that saying can be as well because he's a great guy like a friend of cast in love somebody of rock and roll hall fame stature Thought enough to spend some time with us here on on our little. our little. That point was our little podcast and hadn't really started to sprout that much. That was a lot of fun. That podcast was amazing. We're both big fans of the talking heads. And the fact that they were so important in the direction of the alternative music scene and to hear it from chris francis book was so much fun and then to talk to him about it and the fact that he's able to remember as much as he does is pretty awesome and again. I would love to have him on. Maybe with debbie harry and his wife to talk about the whole. Cbgb's thing and how. The movement grew at some like brian jones project. Yeah absolutely we can do something like that but everybody. Yep we hold a clam. We can get a hold of a lot of people in that one. But i think it would be a lot of fun to do that but yeah chris. France is a lovely human being and his book remain in. Love is an absolutely wonderful re highly. Recommend it if you're looking for a book to read in twenty twenty one check that book out and that brings us round the bend to your number one five favorite from our first one hundred episodes mark. Okay number one is another one that you mentioned. That was your number three reading the book. My brother robert was just mind blowing to me and then to be able to talk to preston and had there not been a pandemic we would have talked to preston and anja andersen together. Robert half sister half sister from his and yes. She's quite a bit younger but she's in her nineties and she's still a sharp as attack at the end of his life. It gets pawn by his half son I think your book does a lot to dispel the deal with the devil. Nonsense in robert johnson's life. I think it's part of the legend and not really part of what i see as his true story. Now you have another kind of quest if you will and other grail to go after the the guitar any word on what became of it or where it might be. oh man. Supposedly it was pawned on beale street in memphis. And that's what you have in the book right right and so the pawn shops you know that are on do they. Were fixture there for one hundred plus years. They've all closed down. And i think that the families that owned the pawn shops have all died out and gotten out of the business and so it would be very difficult. Just as i'm trying to think of. How would you go about trae sarah find. Yeah there's a chance that if you know the old upon receipts in this d- in families archive or something there might be something traceable there. There would be a piece of paper the guitar who might have to decide that. I know i don't but if it exists somewhere it's probably not far from there. One of my favorite things out. There is the fact that there could be an actual search for robert johnson's guitar in the fact that it went to a pawnshop in the fifties i think means that somebody else would have it in their private collection. I know i thought about that a few times when i've looked listened to that episode. I'm just surprised that.
