Fresh update on "roger" discussed on The Mike O Radio

"We'll let you buy the single game tickets when they go on sale. I mean, they got you. You know what? The bait they don't want to lose. You don't want to give you back that money. And Jerry Jones may have tipped the hand of the NFL and his first comments in months when he talked about pod type seating for fans. Granted, he has one of the biggest stadiums and Jerry does what he wants to dio or speaks out of line. Against or against the wishes of Roger Goodell if there are no fans at any games the entire regular season Each team loses over $100 million in revenue that impacts the salary cap next year, which could impact players being cut next year that you would never think would be cut. Right? So it's it all has a trickle effect in every room and speaking of trickle effect was that due to fantasy this year, that's the most important question. Yeah, I've done six episodes of season five of the fantasy football podcast. And the last episode I just did was in response to an e mail from a commissioner saying, Look, I'm not much of an I r guy. I don't know if you are I I usually wonder if people are stashing players. In a dynasty league. I understand the need for I r but not in a traditional NFL sense if you want to continue to carry the player if he carries a designation that he can come back in November December, fine, But that's your choice. If you want to let him go. And you know you want to let him go at your own way. You can replace him. I did suggest on the top rate, fancy football podcast and leads I commission we will have a covert reserve list. A CZ long as Goodell allows players to be named. To test positive for Cove it and they are inactive for Cove in 19 reasons, Matthew style. I don't think I don't think in fantasy football, you should have to make a roster decision. Based on a player missing one or even two or three games. I think you should be able to, you know, let's take it from a C. I said the podcast. I don't want to name anyone who's going to get Cove it. So let me create a team. The Oklahoma City NFL team's star quarterback gets Cove it You shouldn't have to cut another player on your team. To pick up another quarterback to give you other options. You should be able to put the player who is an active specifically and documented because of covert reasons on a covert list. Take up another player. The minute that player is active for the next game, you must drop another player or cut the covert player. And they're what testing every day. Is it at the NFL? Is it every day or every other day? I read one place I've read both actually read every day and then I have read every other day. So I mean, I don't know, because it's going to injury reports coming out on Sunday. There's gonna be gold this year. Because, oh, even more so, And if you're a commissioner, it's going to be even more work. Because you're going to get you Why? Why would Bill Bella check? Dis disclosed early that a player has tested positive and just suddenly it'll at 11:30 a.m. On a Sunday before his one o'clock game against the Jets. Sony Michele is in active duty, Kobe So you're Adam Schefter. They're gonna make their money this year because they're going to be the ones to break in. They better be accurate with it. Well, that's why bone fantasy lives. Oh, yeah, of course. There was something good to listen to around that time with the inactive even even more this year. Yeah, that's gonna be money. This year's How many leads do you have going on this year? Well, I have the foundation league. I just sent out an e mail to all my owner, saying how I plan to do the draft and I said, Look, it's the one time all year we all are together. I said, if we distance and we do it Ah Golf Club house, I said, is everybody okay with that and so far so good. Everybody wants to play that wants something to do They enjoy fantasy football. I don't know what I'm going to do yet with podcast leaks because I told John Brennan Hooters has sponsored my podcast. For the last four years, We have attacked their restaurant with more and more.

'The Greatest Spectacle In Racing': Indy 500 To Run Without Spectators

"33 teams 500 miles and a century's worth of history. It's the Indianapolis 500. But this year there won't be any fans in the stands to see what's been called the greatest spectacle in racing, Samantha Horton from Indiana, Public broadcasting reports. This is what the 500 sounds like on a normal race day war of hundreds of thousands of fans overtaking sounds of the core engines in the final few laps, But this year's race will sound a little more like this along to 2.5 mile track. The race has always taken place in May, but pandemic response upon two back to August 23rd. Roger Penske, who bought the track earlier this year, was still hoping to have tens of thousands of race fans in attendance. But that hope faded in June, when race officials announced half attendance then 25% and then no. One. It was a decision. Race officials tried to prevent Indianapolis Motor Speedway President Doug Bowles says a comprehensive health plan was even developed to try to have fans attend the race. So really, from the moment in March, we knew that we needed to start thinking about what could the Indianapolis 500 look like with a bunch of restrictions and in order to make sure that we took care of everyone's health and safety, But even with these precautions, Spectators were ruled out.

Looking for a MacBook Air alternative? Here are your best options

"With kids about to head back to school either in person or Colle- laptops. Are. Front. And Center. Now Michalak. Air is a popular option. There's actually a pretty wide world outside of Mackerel S I'm Roger Chang and this is your charge. With me laptop expert and senior reviewer Josh Goldman. Thanks for joining me. Josh. Thanks for having me, Roger. So we're getting close to back to school season and who knows what? That's really gonNA look like you know we've got folks potentially going my kid's GonNa. Go to school with a bunch of people doing remote learning But with that said, parents will generally WANNA decent laptop for their kids no matter what their ages at this point Just start things off do you have a general tips for people on the hunt for Nick Peter? The, the one thing having you know, ended the the last school. In Quarantine the one thing I did learn from that was if you can afford to get it laptop with a larger screen than the eleven point six inch screen that most of the kids have on their chromebooks. chromebook obviously, he became really popular with schools. Except they went with models that have eleven point six inch screens which are very difficult for navigating the world of online learning. A lot of the online learning tools require more screen space so that the kids can actually see what they're doing and I think if you're going to invest in a laptop for your kid this season, get them something with at least a thirteen inch display fourteen if possible or even larger if he can. So what about touchscreen is that something that's necessary or is that more of a luxury I don't know that it's a luxury some or necessary I think it's just something that you can get these days as far as I'm concerned. touchscreens of the future everybody uses their phone all day long that's a touch screen tablets touchscreens. It makes sense for kids to have a touchscreen because that's how they're used to communicating with computers these days so. If you can get one with a touchscreen. Great. I don't think it's going to be a detriment though if you don't get one with a touchscreen and since we're talking about MAC books anyway or air replacement. macbook airs don't have touchscreens anyway. So if you're GONNA go macbook air, then you're not getting a touchscreen anyway. But one of the luxuries of gone with windows is you can get them with touchscreen. So catching and the MAC book air has been a popular option for a long time for students particularly college students But generally, what are some of the big reasons why you'd want to consider alternative is far as an alternative? if want to go with the chromebook, it's because that's what your school district is on. That has that makes things a lot easier than. Going with a separate operating system like windows or Mac os but the bigger thing for a lot of people going back to school is whether or not there their software that they need to get through school is going to work with the operating system that they have other than that it's more or less just learning to deal with the different features in the different houses. So it's not. I wouldn't say that like the OS is a big issue, but it's certainly an issue and you WanNa, just make sure what you're using his compatible with the operating system that you're going. Guys let's start with windows the the most popular operating system out there. What are some of the best options for a windows laptop. So if we're going to stick with the like as a macbook air replacement the macbook air has over the years been the most popular option for kids in school and or in college in high school students but they're. Obviously the the windows PC makers figure that out pretty quick and made a lot of laptops that look and behave in everything that MAC book air. So you've got things like. If you WANNA go really premium. Got Things like the daleks ps thirteen or the HP Specter which have a lot of the same design touches and it's just a super premium long battery life good performance and around thousand dollars. which is what you're dealing with with the macbook air. You're still at around that thousand dollar price point for their starting configuration. You can as usual get a better deal with with windows than you can with Mac. He'll usually get more features better processor, those kind of things with you go with windows. If you want to go. So those two that I mentioned her thirteen inch. If you want to go a little bit larger, my personal recommendation for most people is the Lenovo. Yoga. See Seven, forty, it's a two and one. So it's a little bit more flexible. It's a fourteen inch little bit larger screen, but still a nice compact package really good battery life really good performance and you can get it for less than a thousand dollars yen full disclosure I took joshes advice in actually purchased one. My wife and I are very happy with it so. On Josh thank you, it is it. It's one of those laptops that looks and feels like a Mac Book Air Bit and a you just getting you're getting more for your money with it. If, you want to go even less expensive on windows I like the acer swift three, which is running amd's latest rising processors and those the the processing performance you're getting out of that is like twice that of more more expensive laptop. So it's it's or should I say the processing performance is that of a laptop that's twice as expensive. Because as the swift three starts at around six hundred dollars and it's a three pound laptop fourteen inch display really really nice. Good. Battery Life But yeah, it's it's really cheap with good performance.

To beat them up like the other kids had done to his own brother but Roger wouldn't have it instead ten year old roger approached the girl with glasses and asked what she was doing with the Tadpoles. Kathy corrected him. She was catching salamanders. Roger enjoyed the girls spunk but his brother pulled him away he and Cathy waved goodbye hoping to see each other again. Ultimately however, the budding friendship was cut short when just four days later, the holder suddenly moved to California but Kathy wouldn't forget Roger Holder and their argument over Amphibians. According to sociologist Monica Kirkpatrick Johnson when kids are forced to take on serious responsibility, they view themselves as older than they are. This is called subjective age and can lead adolescence to believe their maturity levels exceed those of their peers as Kathy's mom took on a full time secretarial job kathy nature her brothers were fed clothed and always ready to go to school on time in many ways, she became the second parent in the home. If, the child chooses to take on additional burdens that will likely manifest into positive characteristics down the line but negative effects may emerge when a child is forced into roles that demand them to perform as though they're older than they are Kathy may have appeared wise beyond her years but really she was merely mimicking adult behaviors. This type of pseudo maturity May. Increase. The likelihood of problems like substance abuse and increased sexual activity in adolescence for Awhile Kathy showed no signs of any behavioral issues she continued to care for her younger brothers as she always had an she applied that same level of dedication to her studies taking on many extracurriculars when she started high school among them were choir, Latin club track and community service. But by sixteen something changed with her brothers now, older county didn't feel so obligated to spend her time caring for them more than that acting like an adult for so long had taken its toll on Kathy, who still repressed the pain and anger from her parents separation. Unable to escape her resentment she rebelled she quit the track team dropped out of choir and stopped volunteering. Kathy dumped her boyfriend for a twenty something beach bomb every attempt her mom may discipline Cathy was met with verbal sparring. When eighteen year old Kathy graduated high school in June of Nineteen sixty-nine, her prospects looked bleak while others left with career goals and college plans Kathy kept dating and partying. So for the next two years, Kathy bounced from one random gig to another unable to hold anything down at first it was just laziness. Eventually, her indiscretions escalated while working at a drugstore she stole amphetamines for her friends when she was caught and subsequently fired it didn't seem to bother her in the slightest to make ends meet. Cathy resorted once more to theft.

"CBS News Special Report. College Football's Big 10 conference has just announced it'll postpone its fall season to spring because of pandemic. Florida Governor Rogers Santa's hopes his state's teams in other conferences will still play whether you're somebody who's destined for the NFL, or whether you're just somebody who's gonna have a productive college career taking that away. "All, right we back. Welcome to yeah. We said it Ronas report part one. We still hear you know. Don. L.. How're you doing? On well, I can't complain not sick and tired of being in the house but you know it is what it is. relatable relatable for everybody. Florida also today you heard from him last year for our Wimbledon episode. Welcome back and thanks for joining us to talk some myths today. I'm always here to talk Thank said. For letting me letting me comeback art. Right So there's a lot of news. It's been seven months. So With a lot of stuff. Okay. Right at the end of January, that's right January. Former world number-one player estimates year announced that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer. So that was very sad I checked her social media when I was writing this down because like I said, this is in January to see if she had anything else. About. How things are going I didn't see anything on twitter. But. I saw some other stuff that she was like promoting and everything. So I'm I'm hoping that he's Okay I haven't heard anything since January either. the bad news just kept coming as a few days after that one Martina Poacher underwent yet another knee surgery after the previous procedure was unsuccessful. Just recently stated that he's begun slowly re acclimating himself to the tennis court. Once again. This is just the last couple of weeks. Yeah. That's to hear about Walmart being but esther is an absolute lack of the sport. I don't really think she gets the the the amount than do that she should be. Layers. By like five hundred state matches without almost. Like years. Absolute legend She deserves all this lowers possibly get. and also conversely I feel like Walmart game. She he his almost underachieve like e e should he also did a lot of flowers but Injuries. Yeah every time he really starts to get on a roll and starts plans to get back into the top ten like here comes into the freak injury. So yeah, really unfortunate. It's crazy but he he always manages to find his way back into the top ten and back you know making deep runs in the slams in in in winning title. So it's kind of amazing to see him being able to bounce back similar times I mean he obviously was supported the sport because we seem people who have gone through last Mike give it up and he just keeps doing his best to come back again it's gotta be super. duper difficult frustrating. Definitely. We discussed on our pre Australian Open episode that Robert Farah had been provisionally suspended on a doping charge. Short. Time later, he saw that suspension lifted as it was determined that he bears no fault or negligence would be allowed to compete again immediately. Of, course competition ended soon after but he's been very active actively thirst trapping on instagram der Rona for which I am. Very thankful. We. All Know Cedric Cubans trying all of those instagrams Lissette, a meal blast like that Yes i. Yeah, I mean I'm sure he knows they. Let me move on? Roger Federer also had yet another knee operation. This past spring he planned to be up to the French Open, but it turns out. This might have been the best time for him to have such a procedure. So yeah. He's I. I saw some stuff where he since stated data like he doesn't really know. What's going to happen next as far as is concerned right now. Yeah I was I. was that he picked the exact right time disappear. Yeah. He did for sure you know he had not coming bed. Yeah. This is a great time. So if he does come back, it's you know it's not like you superior behind what everybody else is dying but. Get his ranking and stuff will still be pretty secure. So. Obviously. Back in his thirty ninth birthday the other day. So you know happy belated or whatever. Yeah, I guess up. Have you heard about him being like more more injured than what he lets us know. I didn't really it was. It was like some sort of a quote where he said something to the effect of he wasn't sure if he would be back like he was he just wasn't sure right now. Like. He wasn't sure if he's coming back at all that's that's what I read. I. Don't know was voted the way I would. Scream. Scream but I I mean I could buy it because you know spending all this time at home with his family and his wife and kids and everything. Rajapaksa brothers win by landslide in Sri Lanka's election

"Have cemented their grip on Sri Lankans politics with an overwhelming victory in parliamentary elections there. Sri Lanka People's Front and allies would have a 2/3 majority in the new house, allowing President Obama Roger Puncture to name his elder brother Mahinda as prime minister as well as all the relatives to his cabinet. More from Ambala sanity, Rajan The scale of the victory for president. Gotta buy. Rajapaksa's party is not a surprise, but the opposition's total drought has been stunning. The former prime minister, Wickremesinghe lost his own constituency on his United National Party managed to win just one seat. It had more than 100 in the outgoing parliament. With the dominant majority, the fractures could attempt to change the constitution to increase the powers of the president. Activists, already alarmed by the diminishing space for dissent and criticism, fear such an eventuality could lead to greater authoritarianism. The Indian Health

Primary results: Kris Kobach loses Kansas Senate primary

"Primary season and in yesterday's contests, Progressive Democrats scored two high profile victories. While a conservative aligned with President Trump lost to a more mainstream Republican in Kansas. NPR's Susan Davis is here to sort through results and tell us what this might signal about November. Let's start with the Republican contest where former Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach lost the GOP Senate primary to Congressman Roger Marshall today you wrote that this is a win for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. How so? Well. Marshall was McConnell's preferred candidate. The Senate Leadership Fund, which is an outside Superpac align with the leader spent over $2 million to help Marshall win. McConnell, like many Republicans believed that if Kobach had won, he would've tanked the party's chances of holding to the on to that seat in November and very likely could have taken the majority down with it. A word of caution here, though, Marshal is still not a sure bet. There's still interesting things happening in Kansas, and that race looks like it could still be competitive. And I've talked to GOP strategist who say it's gonna You know they're going to keep investing in Kansas to keep it in their column, but ultimately this is a seat that will be harder for Democrats to win and the battle for the Senate carries on.

Cryptocurrency and Taxes

"We're talking about taxes right? It was crazy to me. Is that when we first got into space everyone thought it was like. I Dunno taxes was like such an afterthought but now that we're at the point where taxes have to be of forethought. Kinda shows the growth of everything. For example, my pops he hit me up. And he's like, how's do my taxes this year? And I got ask a bunch of questions about crypto like Bitcoin and do I trade and do I train light kind crypto and I. Didn't have the answers. So I didn't know what to do. And I'm like in my opinion I think that shows just the progression of space since we started the ship like. Regular Joes. I mean it certainly shows. Like a outward perception, a legitimacy. Of like how people feel this is a thing and it's gotten big enough to where like. Government authorities have to start asking questions because enough people are using it to justify them wanting to collect taxes on it. Enough. Businesses are asking questions in terms of like, how do I properly file if I WANNA. Take this as a form of income because I would like to. and the there's not a lot of answers across the board like hard answers but. It definitely speaks to like I said the legitimacy of how people feel. About this technology and if you think back to earlier days a good portion of it was like. An effort to completely get around. All of this stuff and make it a global currency that doesn't require that. That's ridiculous like an realistically speaking. You're never going to be able to run a business. Without paying taxes to the justification that business exists in. Now like it may get odd in. Answering the question as to where your business exists if it exists on the Internet. What jurisdiction it's it's reliant upon that's a whole different story the. I think as a business one thing I found out recently from a from my accountant nine attacks just an account. If? Your Business. And you want to buy an old crypto. That is just a balance sheet transaction. So that means, is Ya gotTA pay taxes You're basically moving in that's highly liquid southern that slightly less liquid on your balance sheet and that's it. So you can buy whole cook does business and your tax as if his property. Ebay capital-gains tax long term short term been how long you held it. I think long terms just one qualification anything long eating your whole longer than a year I, think qualifies for that long term capital gains tax. So. I think it's so difficult though like even if you were business trying to do this stuff. Like. This is something that I had an issue with and some project that I wanted to work on button due to lack of time and never got done was small business services like the turbo tax for understanding. How you deal with even invoicing accepting pricing timing of all these things and look how how value fluctuates in between all of these different points and so like if you think about this specific, that bothers me we say like Bitcoin or whatever is money it's not. It depends on how you like define money but like. When you the if the price of what you're billing in changes drastically from when you invoice to win, you receive to win. You can rec- when you spend it to etcetera like that's not this is going to do that. They're not giants several conversations throughout the whole process of like estimate to invoice to collecting you gotTa have three different several conversations. They're like, Hey, I know and we estimated the Bad Boy. This is how much big when you're GonNa give me but it seems like the prices gone down. So you're going to have to give me a little bit more big guess class not going to do anything like fuck that this quote we signed it it's a it's a go. This is go. So as a business loan, it's not feasible to accept cryptocurrency except for I would say Oh very short term projects or products. Right. If you have a factored in that, the spot price is going to change so much right. So if I sell this bag of chips I'm not I'm not concerned with the float.

No US Open for Nadal; Olympics Re-Lived: 2004 Athens

"Fellow folks, and welcome. Once again to the tennis podcast and the latest edition of Olympics relived, we've already lived through the Olympics nine, hundred, Eighty, eight, three to the two thousand in Sydney, and we now arrive at two thousand four Athens Olympics return to it, spurs place one, hundred, four years earlier just before we get onto reliving. Olympic things a little bit of news to one since our last weekly tennis actual tennis based podcast couple of days ago. The knees we've had is the entry list is out for the US Open. And Rafael. Nadal is not on it. He has made an announcement that he will not be playing the USA Open. It is for health risk based reasons, which I think we'll. We'll respect that obviously disappointing for the tournament that that won't be their first. Grand, Slam with neither federal known adult, since Nineteen Ninety nine on the women's side nine. If the world's top turn on the entry list, it's only a number one ashburn on it. Obviously, entry list does not mean list of players that are actually definitely going to play. But it's nonetheless, you know this early stage, a bit of beast for the US Open, and the other bit of News we've had is that. As entirely expected at the Madrid Masters and premium mandatory tournament has been canceled. I. Mean the writing on the wall. That as we discussed on Monday, but it has been formally cancelled. We do understand there's a chance that Kitsch Buell, which is tournament that must get mentioned on every tennis podcast apparently. Might. Now, move. Back a week to take up that place in the calendar where Madrid. We're going to be of I said that quickly enough so that we can move onto Olympic stuff. Is Seen as possible. I mean there are a lot of good players. All over those interests, and as you say, who knows how many of them will end up playing but him and we we knew that the likelihood was the Dow wasn't gonNA play. There was maybe a little bit of doubt about that. When Madrid was canceled perhaps Nadal might have changed his mind, but you said it's at the time you felt that if it was a view on the virus itself and not wanting to travel and it's not going to change and sure enough he made it clear that it was because of his concerns over the virus, he just feels the world isn't ready for that and he's He's not comfortable to travel. I did sort of slightly Riley. Smile. When I saw the pressure relation, the US not even including the dowels name in the release, not even acknowledging that they're defending their reigning champion was not actually going to be there because of the decision he taken and yet they did mention that Roger Federer wasn't going to be there because of his injury I thought that was poor. I think just acknowledging the champion would have been a classier thing to have done, and actually I noticed in Chris. Clarity's piece overnight in the new. York Times that he spoke to the tournament Director Stacey Allaster who? took a completely different tack and pay tribute to refer and said, she looked forward to returning and I think that that is certainly the right way to of played that. But yeah. We've also seen one or two notes overnight of the protocols that the USDA plan to. Employ for covid nineteen testing, and if somebody tests positive in a team or an or apply themselves, the play will just be removed from the tournament and we'll have to isolate and. The words of James Blake really came back to me are upon reading those rules of just what it might take even for the tournaments if it had a lot of. People testing positive in having to be removed from the drawer. How many Coulda draw take you know this? This something I hadn't really considered before and if you're staying independent accommodation, so electing not to stay in the. Official bubble hotels. Then you have to pay for and be responsible for private security to monitor your bubble adherents. which is intense but space slightly reassuring. But goodness me, it's. Any ad, the question remains unanswered of of what the threshold is for that tournament. What's what stage does D stop treating individual cases and start saying as a? Hot Sports that needs to be needs to be shut down and his depressing is that. Prospect. is they they need to have a plan for that scenario?

Thank you so much for sending over some of skincare routine some of the oil they add stretch mark oil that I received and the postpartum bath IDs phys called. Back fits bath there it is I can't wait to. Lying the bathtub after baby and just enjoy myself. But let's talk about your skincare line. What is what is Montana skincare? How'd you come up with the name? What products do offer tells about like this whole journey yeah, Abou- in how your mom inspired it. Yeah. So modern organics is basically a simple plan face care line devoted to mothers and just kind of help navigate distress that pregnancy in early maternity kind of brings with say if in fun ways to pamper yourself in your growing belly but just also that self care aspect of creating that moment for yourself, it really comes through in our products and I wanted to really create something that I felt was safe in fun for MOMS to enjoy. During pregnancy and after and when creating the brand in finding the name was actually a really unique coffee for me because I had to really look to motherhood my own mom and my daughter and my daughter's name is Netanyahu, which in Hebrew means God's gift and that really resonated with me really love them meaning so much because I gonNA lose women that at a young age I knew I wanted to be a mom it was just one of those. Things like I always wanted to be a mom you know I I saw myself being this working mother never a soccer mom but I just always Selena most likely Napoli herself with a Mile Yeah. Yeah. So when I became a mom at twenty six seeing age, my mom became a mother not planned at all. It was like just such a miracle for me and so the name really resonated with me and when I was looking to my daughter and my mom. Montana just came in mind because in Hebrew that means gift. So I really loved that it had that cultural background but that me that you know that I really wanted to share the knowledge support in a widely wanted to give mothers that nurturing safe fun way to pamper themselves. So just as the NAIPAUL's that kind of gift remains part of the mothers that we nourish. but yeah, that's that's kind of like a little bit of the background. How I came up with the name in stuff We're you know we're kind of early on you know I, have a stretch mark oil instance bath, and both of them kind of again always keeping in mind how I want to like. Create a skincare. That's really mother's. Centered I couldn't find anything when I was pregnant in terms of oils that was fast absorbing save accessible just easy to put on in a lot of my friends as well. Overall consensus was like, Oh, I am do not use oils I. Typically use creams and lotions because oils are just sticky there messy. They get all over my clothes so I really wanted to create something that was easy to put on, but that would hydrate your skin at all day in. You could just put it on, put your blouse on and get going

York who are really the Kings or Queens of society, and they make sure their name is never in the paper, and you know just the opposite of the other people they say under the radar. Some of these half-baked WanNa be a society types. They hire nine publicists and call you every second right right well. She had no publicist. She just those living it, and she was nf, and the crazy thing was that she had a regular life here in New York on Mar in Merrick Long Island, and she was going back, and forth to Hollywood and going back and forth to Palm Springs. She was a model. She's a beautiful girl for a while she was married to Jacksonville. Who was the manager of Lenny Bruce. and a lot of other comedians and Jacksonville sort of like He had he competing agency to the LIMBAUGH agency on the fifty, so she was always in show business, and it was great I talked to her son Michael yesterday. A great guy who's just turned seventy and he. He's giving me a lot of stuff about his mother frank. gave her a lock it that he still has one point Frank grand piano, or one hundred thousand dollars to her parents house American father censored back. He said I. Don't want any gifts from a hooligan. You Really Really GonNa for this woman I see a book coming I. I really I sort of I love this holy era and the idea that there's someone who we don't really know about, but it was definitely there in a witnessed everything kind of interesting and you, you and I love Frank, Sinatra and we love all that that period so Yeah. I thought it was I, didn't WanNA. Just let her death pass in the New York Times the you know paid obits. I wanted to the proper send-off. It is an again. There are a lot of people like that and you see some people you see them in paid six. You see them everywhere. You see them in this magazine. You see them with this count. They're paying publicist for all this. And then. There's a much bigger than them like Cindy. Vitamin who make sure they're never in the paper, they stay right really under the radar. Radar and talk about it after she you know she She was married She divorced her husband. She went off and had these adventures. She returned and remarried the husband, and then put this all behind her, and never spoke about it. I'm really surprised that list or someone like that didn't really get to her. During the sixties or seventies, because it would have made a great story. Hey Roger Tony and frank, those are the you can tell where things when Tony and frank our lead story that I. "Wow We got a lot to get to Connecticut is open. New York. City should be opening about June fifteenth. We'll give you all the details about the judges phase one opening everything's GonNa start to open Even a mayor de Blasio always try to see if the slowest kid in the class gets it. Then you know you got through some even. He is starting to get it It's Memorial Day weekend it's Joe Bartlett when the when the New Year started it was twenty twenty mm. We're looking forward to the summer like I was. This is going to be a great year. The summer at twenty twenty was going to be a great summer. Who kind of imagined All of this but Summer begins officially. Today it's Memorial Day weekend. The weather's not that great but shouldn't Memorial Day. We can actually been next weekend. The twenty nine. This is a little early. Yeah so I remember the earlier in the year. So that's great. They may have an extra week summer. Who knew there'd be nothing but Connecticut is doing pretty well They've opened stores restaurants. I've been calling people in the big big stores up there and the malls and I said how's it going? These people are coming in people you know. They're anxious to get out there people coming. We're only at the thirty forty percent capacity though ahead to remind him you know you're only at five percent capacity before this began. They forget retail already died so But if you were driving around Stanford last night Bedford shoot. Where all those outdoor restaurant? There were people outdoors spread out if you were in Greenwich There was prime crab. Shell the Scowl J. House all the outdoor places and then on Greenwich Avenue Let the places put some tables outside They got a smart mayor. There's Fred Kamilo new mayor. This guy will figure this out the now. Here's what's going to happen there's The town was pushing for it. He's figuring out how do it? They'll close off parts of the avenue and let the restaurants put the tables out into the street and all over once that works. People are all watching Connecticut To weeks from now. This has worked. Everybody will do that even in New York. That's what we'll do it here. We'll close off some streets You know you go to Third Avenue on the east side Madison Avenue in the Seventies. We got a lot of restaurants in a row. They'll close off the streets and let them spread out into the street. Joe Bartlett doesn't know what we're talking about. 'cause he's in South Carolina where they went back to normal. What three weeks ago? I went to a restaurant last night. It was very nice restaurant but you could eat inside if you wanted to write the worst seats in. I'm not ready for that yet. Okay you don't feel well. You don't have many cases down there but if you were in New York City right now would you go to a restaurant if it opened. Would you feel little outside outside? I think you're fine. The service keep their masks Don They maintain their distance. No tables next to you. It's fine I I think I feel very safe eating out so listen to talk to every expert you can talk to every expert agrees on one thing. It cannot transmit in food. There's no way it's in your food that you're not possible now. What about the plate? What about the containers? The take out. It's possible but you know if you touch those just wash your hands afterwards and you find but all the experts now even that stupid. Cdc which is the other slow kid in the class. They're always way behind even there now. Changing their guidelines to say it's most likely never transmitted by a surface. They think it's always droplets person to person touch your droplets in the air. Very very rarely. Is it going to transmit on the surface so it's pretty safe to eat outside You know some people are afraid to go back to Sushi Sushi but again I've been huddling with a lot of restaurants with Sushi. Might be the safest thing you can eat. Because you know you've got that one Sushi chef there. He does everything. He cuts up. Everything does everything. It's not like a regular kitchen where there's a prep kitchen where like eighteen guys. Eighteen illegal aliens prep everything and then it goes to another station another station so forty hands of the time it gets like but again it should be pretty safe in a restaurant. I mean the all again now the only when you go to restaurant. We don't wear masks down there to you when you go to the store grocery store go into any sort of retail store you. Most people have mask on The only problem the restaurant when everybody's you have to wear the mask but when you sit down to eat you take it off. So now. Suddenly raises the tables with the masks of It's GONNA be alright. Everything's so even. I mean again. A lot of teachers told me this always look at the dumbest kid in the class. If he's getting it then you've explained it. Well then you've done your job if it's getting through to him so even mayor de Blasio says it's time to reopen He's watched Connecticut have done a pretty good job now. Of course you gotta wait and see if there's any spike in a couple of weeks but Florida Georgia Texas all the places that reopened despite we hear on fake news. There's no spikes anywhere. Everything's fine numbers are dramatically down in New York so the mayor is talking about June fifteenth for phase one reopening now phase one B Stores do all stores can open a new curbside Phase to should follow very fast. Maybe a week or so and then They'll allow you to go into the stores and I they're talking about. Possibly moving phase went up to June first and face to June fifteenth. So this could happen very fast if the numbers keep dropping so even even mayor de Blasios gets it so now you notice governor Cuomo. There's no hope of ever everything will be reopened. Even if he doesn't reopen we're reopening without you. We don't need you know. This is the mayor to block roads. Leading to the first half of June the city indicators the state indicators. We're seeing very clear progress. We have to sustain the progress. Now Joe Bartlett. What is wrong with him? You normally especially in real life. He's of He's kind of a fun jovial guy with a good personality. Yeah semen real life. He's a nice guy. He jokes around kids around with you. he's got a very easy going way about him he used to be not it wasn't Churchill but he was a pretty good speaker. You had a nice personality. Why does he say he sounds so frightened all the time? Now listen to this. He's giving good news and he sounds terrified. This is like a hostage video. All roads. Leading to the first half of June the city indicators state indicator what does it sounded. Oh well gotta think he's worried about what's going to be left of this city when he does decide to reopen it it's going to be it's a shambles. Yeah it's a disaster. Now he can put together all these commissions of how to reopen any through on the commissions a lot of Richard Ravitch type guys. You know very experienced Serious business people and I I'm sure these guys have been telling them you've destroyed everything that you totally destroyed the city. You GotTa stop this start reopening so You know you all these stores that are open. All the supermarkets are open. Hundreds of people only supermarkets every day. Nobody's getting sick in there. So why can't you open all the stores? Even the mom and pop stores clothing stores of you know whatever kind of stores I mean. Understand no makeup counter where they're GONNA put their hands on your face but start opening up So June fifteenth is The date the looking at figure June I. I think this is going to go faster than you think and again. They may try that thing when they do. The restaurants closed some of the streets and spread the tables out. You know when you're into like these Connecticut Restaurant. Some of them are real hot spots. So they've spread. The tables outs is a few feet between you and every table and when you go in and look at them you helping you do this before. This is the way you're supposed to. You know when you go to New York City restaurant you're on top of everybody Katie idea eating a meal in the middle of third avenues. It's just not appealing to me. Well but They do have outdoor tables illegals and all those places have outdoor tables in the Middle Street. well street all right now. Here's the other problem Even if you've ever sat I listen if you're at the Americana and you're eating cipollini outside it's beautiful. It's the grass. But whenever you eat outside mellows or anyone those places Madison Avenue. All that happens is four homeless guys. Come right up to your table and those is tripping all of your food buses. The exhaust fumes are going all over your system. It's not the greatest experience so well we'll we'll we'll Keep an eye on this situation. I think you're GonNa have some good news when we come back on Tuesday after Memorial Day weekend about New York City reopening. You see a big drop this weekend in numbers. Hey the president went to the Ford Motor Company. He had them convert the factory. To turn out ventilators they have been turning out tens of thousands of ventilators. I know what you're saying. You're saying how do we need these ventilators for we don't but this This cuomo this crazy Cuomo remember. He was yelling. Forty thousand ventilators. It was yelling this so much that he turned the president went nuts turning these factories into ventilator producers we now have hundreds of thousands of ventilators were stockpiling. I guess the what we'll do we'll just stockpile them if there's ever another Situation like this. We'll have them in a warehouse somewhere for years. But they're totally unnecessary so the president went to thank them. inspect factory. The subject was ventilators. And of course when he got there every question from the press wearing a mask. Where's your mask? How come you're not wearing a mask? I'm watching this you ever watch his dopey Lori stokes. She's on in the morning on TV. She show and she's so disgusted by him and she said he's not wearing a mask not wearing a mask. She's sitting in the studio with a lot of people not wearing a mask showing a clip of call wearing a mask showing clips of the Blasios. Not Worrying about never says a word about them so it's just a game. It's just a stupid game. They did ask him Why he didn't wear a mask what he did. Say something about ready to the choice.

"I think that because I play characters as an entertainer separates the artist or the art from the artist. And I feel like people can can can I don't know they don't get hung up on my beliefs they don't get hung up on my personal. They just see the characters and I I kinda like that they. Yeah I think a lot of other entertainers detainers. Not that. It's better or worse but most other entertainers are themselves on the Internet. And so if they say something the audience doesn't like then there's a legitimate person to be upset about now you know as whereas if a character does something terrible it's all that's a character And I don't think I'm a bad person I think I'm trying I'm not trying to hide who I am or anything but I love just kind kind of being a mystery to you know to most people I like when someone comes up to me. They don't know if I'm going to be nicer. They're kind of a little bit scared to talk to me because I don't know if I'm crazy and I kind of like having that are around me. I'm always curious because there are so many people who are trying to get where you are Mar.. If you run across in your dating lighter even just in your social life people who are sort of you know getting close to you you and you can kind of sniff that they have ulterior motive. I think it's pretty obvious. I mean it smells pretty punch out. There's never been anyone rambling Um they might have ulterior. It's definitely cut off. It's definitely toyed with my trust But I've I've made a lot of friends who are around. My you know following of our size of creator and I talk with you. Know we go to each other's houses and we smoke weed and we kick back and shoot the shit and we talk about this kind of and it's like I i. I'm not the only one who's going through it. I'm not the only one who like a lot of other. People are even possibly have had it worse than me or more defensive about rightfully. So you know. I've heard a lot of horror stories from other creators about like being tricked by someone that they were on a date with or being tricked by whatever someone they were hanging out with. Well I think just I just go with my gut with everyone I meet and I don't really an inch I I really am introverted with like I rarely ever bring anyone you know. have anyone over on this. I know them I rarely ever like hang out one on one with someone they really know them I so so for someone to be able to take advantage of. It hasn't happened yet that I know of on knock on wood. But I don't know I think I have a pretty good grasp on who's good and WHO's bad. Most people are good. I've found out like most people I've met in the last three years. I can't knock on wood. I've just been angels so especially if people outside of California picture. What do you look for dating? Weiss honored anyways tight. Oh let me tell you the faces a very important thing I think like a face. Well I I like the face but also like well when it comes to personality. I think they have to be very smart. Because I like someone who understands re or who can pick up on really subtle sarcasm or really dry humor and I think that the ability to do that I think I think a sense of humor is a brilliant test of intelligence or at least their social intelligence and and just their appreciation for word play. I think someone who can appreciate good. A good conversation likes to laugh and likes to poke fun a Yeah like if they're not making me laugh what the why. They must have sweet ass. Because if I'm not laughing there's gotta be some other redeeming quality and most the people of data just don't make me laugh but Yeah I look for. I am just a face because I think more that is I'm I'm not talking about physically when I'm when I'm on a date with someone you could tell a lot by there is what they're saying there is and You know some people I just had dead is and I just get real limb when I see that I'm just like Oh like are you even and then some people have crazy is and they're you know they're so yeah. I think the is not so so much the face but the eyes and just funny can't or can they at least appreciate humor. Yeah but really. What I'm saying is laugh at my jokes? Very important Shaw no I I. I'm pretty open. Even when I was in India I was flirting. Yeah I was and I did meet a guy. And here's some tea and I've only I've only never told anyone yet but I sneezed in front of.

"I am Gay was still part of me still I still Kinda like women is still do. I would say that I'm definitely more intimate but I still like women and there was a time in my life. I did only like women like when I was a kid. I remember like I would only checkout girls and then eventually it through puberty maybe it was. I signed one developing I was like oh I like like guys more. I don't I don't know what switched for me. But it was around puberty and so the first person actually confirmed it to my fruit fly. Is that offensive fag. I don't know what they say now but she was my best friend and I told her and that was the first time I ever felt because I lived in livermore which is very small. It's a very at the time. At least it was very a income. Pretty Conservative and there weren't a lot of people who are out yet and so she was the first person that I openly said it to and to not get the sort of backlash that I very much X.. or or or judgement or disappoint disappointment I think is the right word. I was afraid of. Disappointing her And I didn't in that felt really good and then I started being more open about it with my friends and that felt really good and then I started getting what people talk about movies like a weight off your shoulders because it is when you're when you're pretending to be straight it's a little a little bit of a lie you're telling every single time you pretend the checkout girl or every single time someone says oh you need a girlfriend and you don't you don't negate them you know it's like it's like it's a little little bit of stress that kind of flickers through your brain. It's just like a and it's one less thing I I don't have to lie about anywhere but I never really came out to my family because after I moved move to. La Youtube Channel took off. It's like there's no way they don't know that I'm gay and there's no way that like now at this point it's like a talk would be kind of awkward uh-huh brought a guy home. No because every time I dated a guy either it wasn't during the holidays or I was at their family for Thanksgiving. Actually no one one year idea bringing home a one year And that was like it was it was weird. 'cause I knew that my family and never seen that before like I'm the only person that I know of my family who is queer and so I knew they weren't used to seeing some like part of me was like all right. Just look as much like if you're just my guy friend coming over as we can but then I'm like like do I care that much about these people's opinions that like let's just suck each other's dicks. I don't know I I honestly I just want. I didn't know how to touted. I mean it wasn't super awkward. It just felt weird with see like my grandparents looking over Makram who has dementia Manchester just like having to be reminded. Oh He's gay. Oh that's Oh but a I don't know but I see my family pretty much like once a year now at same about I think in during the Thanksgiving Christmas this year is probably Thanksgiving. You know I don't know if I'll be there for Christmas but but yeah so and I'm not with anyone else so this is another year. I'm not bringing someone someone over but It is cool though it is cool visiting family you know now. Even though I don't I I visit them with the career that they all follow that that's diff- you know. Even though I'm not with anyone they still have a bucket of questions every time I visit home because they watch all my videos they follow my instagram. I mean they're very in touch with what I'm doing and that's why that's why it's like. I almost don't want to have the conversation. I know if this cool with what I'm doing and then following me this closely. They clearly know that I'm gay. And they clearly are still accepting so he was like no conversation needed to be had and I feel like it's almost less awkward to just. Okay let's move on you know so I didn't really have a coming out. That story just stopped and then I just stopped denying you know at least to my family and everyone else. It's like if you can't tell you know some people I have. I just I cannot tell and and I have to say it but I think most people know. I think I don't know maybe earlier this and maybe they'll hear this. I think he might be but Yeah do they all understand your career. I mean especially like the old older members of your family people who are sort of cree Internet they they do because a lot of them have kids a lot of them have kids now. The it's weird because I in my family. There's no one really my age. There's people who are a generation above me me in a generation who and then who had generation below me so that generation below me which Z.. Right yes he And then generation X. who's them above above me They know about the kids and the kids It's weird 'cause they only know me as as who I am on Youtube. They really don't know who I am in real life because I've lived in La for about seven years and a lot of them are around seven or older. But not old enough to remember genuinely who I was as a human being when I lived there so when I visit home I'll see in my cousins. Is there a little shy. Or they're a little bit. It's the same. Look I see when I when I have a meet and greet and people okay. Oh Hey you're next you know for the picture an autograph you know. It's like right when they're kind of during the headline that's sort of how my cousins look at me and it's weird because it's a weird way of spending time with his family and I it's it's It's like this. Is My family like chill out. I'm just here to eat but There yeah none of my family. Has There's been a dick about what I do. Thank God they're pretty comical people on both sides there. There are a lot of comedians that I grew up with so thank God. What are your dealings with like commenters and and fans like they can be vicious? Actually they've been ver- I've been really lucky If there's any criticism and I really I very rarely troll criticism which is at fake and gay dumb fucking fuck. This guy is very rarely. Do I see that Mo- if there's any criticism constructive like I could tell you use this ending before or I can tell you and that kind of Shit I live for because it's like you know you're right you're smart audience like you know but they don't it's not mean it's people if they're if they're criticizing it's because they were disappointed because they expected something that they didn't get or that or they. They were rooting for the video and some part of it. Let them down. And and that's the kind of criticism I get for the most part Ev. You know the Internet just like I said with the Youtube community. The Internet is been much more welcome and I work with kind kind of a freak show of people. My cast is very They're interesting each of them are interesting in appearance and in in how they conduct doc themselves and I feel like I run this little circus of interesting actors and every time I introduce a new person sometimes they might be heavy or trans or you. You know what a you know. They're they're you know I'm always a little afraid of what the comments are going to say. The first time I work with an actor I add them to my cast. And I'm like what are people going to think of him him or her or them and they've all been welcoming you know they've all been really really accepting and I. I'm very touched by how the Internet you know. It's like one of one of the actors I work with the most. She's a seventy something year old trans woman and she is in my opinion. One of the greatest actors I've ever worked with And she's one of the most brilliant people but when I when I had her in the videos for the first time I didn't know how the end that was gonNA reactor and she's reading my comments you know. And so it's like part of me feels it's like a you know a little bit like these are my kids in a way and I'm very protective of what people say about them. Because I know they're reading the comments and I didn't have to delete anything with her like I'm looking at the comments and like who is this interesting woman. And where did she come from. And why nothing was negative and to this day. They adore her and the other people I work with. I work with in all kinds of you know. Ages shapes genders cast is a very very colorful group of people and no one has ever picked on anyone one for any kind of so. I think the Internet at least the people who watch my videos. They're not the Internet that I thought I would encounter when I would blow up you. You know like why always thought. Oh thank God. I'm still a small youtuber because if I was big I don't know if I could take the criticism on the new. I Made Weird content. I'm like I don't know how the world would react. I've been surprised at how the world's reacted to it and so Negative comments yeah. They just don't wouldn't you attribute that to because it seems like that's the only place on the Internet. Well uh-huh doing something right. I think that the content doesn't take itself seriously at all it's very self deprecating. It's very like it's it's self-aware trash and and it's it's not. There's there's zero pride with it. It's all just like just utter. It's like like like going to the circus. You go to kind kind of be a little bit disgusted or scared or you know when you see people swallowing swords and I think that people go to my channel at this point. People know what they're into and they when they usually really when they click on a video of mine or and I I don't know I think that with content as vulgar as it's almost how do you call trash disgusting. You know like how do do you call. I don't know I I've just been very very very fortunate. I also enjoy like I rarely. I rarely come out as a human being out of character actor. You know other than time like this. You know a podcast interview or an appearance cameo in something but very rarely in my ever expressing my own on opinions beliefs and.

"I think is interesting. But again, it feels very under underdeveloped under like under under appreciated aspect of this film that they could have gone into. But they didn't. Because again, it's not it's not really a film for adults. Like that's just a long in the short of it. This film's not for adults. I think that we need to talk about the rabbit in the room because we've gotten this far into the podcast, and we have essentially not mentioned Roger rabbit ethic. There's a reason for that. Because he's annoying. And I think that's what. What I appreciate about him. Most watching it older is that he is what it would be like if Mickey Mouse or Daffy duck. We're in your house. You would just driven nuts by him. If you had to be around him all the time. And so I appreciate that. He's not really the star. He's he's awful. He is very awful. And the voice is just so annoying. You know, what it might be annoying? But Charles Fleischer kills it. Oh, Charles Fleischer is a gift mankind. He is in one of my favorite films of all times dilating, and yeah, he can do no wrong in my book. He absolutely carries the having to be the voice of Roger rabbit. So well in this movie, I love him. And I love his performance. I mean, he's he's amazing and everything that I've ever seen him in. And he really has that knack. And that talent for doing these voices that like you can't even tell that it's him like if you heard his voice, and then you hear Roger rabbit, you're like there's no way. Right. And then he does like multiple voices in here that he does the cab voice. It's like really exactly exactly he is like his voice. He is able to do things with his voice that a a very talented voice actor could do. But he's never in the conversation for like most like up there with talented voice actors like last his contemporaries because I mean, he's not really a contemporary of like Mel block. He's more of a contemporary of like more of a Mark Hamill almost or like, Dan Castellaneta or the guy who does Jim Cummings the guy who does like all the Disney stuff. Now, it is like when the poo and stuff like that. Because like when I hear Jim Cummings doing when the poo or goofy. I'm like, okay, that's Cummings. But when you hear Charles flashing Roger rabbit, and then Benny the cab in the same move, your that's the same guy. And then the weasels is well at least two of the weasels. Yeah. Though is soon as David Lander started to speak. I was just like, oh, it's swifty. Okay. Anybody know nobody you guys didn't watch Laverne, Shirley. It's before my time. I know squeaky, I know squeaky dieted episode of the Simpsons, I haven't idea it's crazy..

"But isn't that even more the case for sixty votes? I think what we have got to do. I mean, you're asking a legitimate question. But I think that's get first things for us. Let's elected Democratic Senate. Let's make sure that many as possible off progresses. But this is what I believe. That's what I said a moment ago, we make change when millions of people demand that change. And I believe that when people stand up and fight back. Yes, you'll going to have the United States Congress slot listening to ordinary Americans rather than wealthy campaign contributors. All right, Senator Bernie Sanders Senator from Vermont. Thanks so much for taking time. I appreciate it. My pleasure. Next. Roger stone's dirty tricks catch up with him, again, the amazing scene that unfolded in court between the president's former political visor and a federal judge right after this. Roger stone is officially gagged that's pursuant to an order from judge. Amy Berman Jackson today in federal court a hearing called by the judge herself after notoriously publicity hungry. Trump advisor posted a picture of judge Jackson next to what appeared to be crosshairs dome. Was apologetic quite apologetic today in court, but the judge was not buying it. She alluded to the coast guard member who officials say compiled hitlist public officials and stockpile weapons saying you don't even have to look at the papers beyond today to know that inciting extremist violent action is a possibility. Judge Jackson also warned stone. This is his last chance before she revokes his bail sending him to jail quote today. I gave you a second chance. This is not baseball. You do not get a third chance discuss the judge's action today and what they might pretend. Roger stone wanna bring in to MSNBC legal analyst Paul Butler, prosecute worked in the department of Justice's public integrity unit on cases of public corruption, and Maya Wiley, the senior vice president. A social Justice at the new school. My the you don't see this often. But I guess you don't see people who are like Roger stone that often is very rare to have someone particularly someone who should be as knowledgeable, and who is well represented as Roger stone, literally threaten a federal judge. And that is what happened here and one of the things that we must focus in on his one. The judge was restrained. She clearly was concerned. But also really gave him the opportunity. She remember that prosecutors wanted him more gagged than she. Agreed the gag him. He can still talk about his innocence. He can still ask for donations for his legal defense. But it can't talk about the case. And what he posted, by the way. It wasn't just the crosshairs. I think it's really important to elevate that he talked about the Muller probe as the d. State and the reason that lends itself to being threatening particularly where he has named a federal judge as if she is not an unbiased and impartial. Jurist is that the deep state reference has caused people to go out and threaten the lives of others in the past particularly using the info wars platform, which Roger stone himself has used. So just go back to pizza gate and the guy who showed up with an assault rifle after pizza gate that he saw so it's not their radical. And she was both restrained. But also trying to protect both the integrity of the process. And he I think it was really interesting is he finally got that, you know, his dirty tricks as in I himself as a trickster his dirty tricks here, which he may not intend. We don't know what is intentional in terms of promotion of violence. Maybe it was just a better way to fundraise doesn't really matter. When people go. Out and actually commit violent acts because of what you said, you know, Paul I've seen a lot of I've seen immigration lawyers and public defenders defense attorneys weighing in today saying if my client was out on bail and then posted an image of the judge in the case with crosshairs, they're not getting a second chance. What do you think? Absolutely. I think the judge went to easy or verger stone. So Chris remember the FBI Ray with twenty nine armed agents this watt team, the assault rifle they justified that by saying this is a dangerous guy nontheless he got released on bail..

"Every Thursday and a subscription allows us to keep doing what we're doing. And now here's a portion of our conversation on cafe insider from cafe welcome to cafe insider. I'm pre- Berrara. And I'm an milk. I n how are you the Daikin morning so Thursday, we might have been wondering what exactly we would be talking about about mode doesn't disappoint on Friday. We were sure we had something to discuss. Roger stone's before we get to the substance of Roger stone. Can we discuss some one of the more interesting aspects of his person his personal tax on you? Well know that okay. I'm definitely going to get. I was gonna talk about his personal to oh. The Richard Nixon tattoo on his back. Do you have one of those? I do not you. I don't have any tattoos. I actually actually since this is the insider. Yes, I can confess that. I actually have a Millard Fillmore tat. That sounds great. I mean, it's not quite as large. Well, you just don't picture on cafe inside. I might. It's I haven't asked you where it is. Even upcoming to keep it up coming up the Padres. Luckily uses audio so he was indicted on seven counts. Yes. One count of obstruction? Viscounts of lying to congress the house intelligence committee and one count of witness tampering. So before we get to what some of the interesting aspects, are let's talk about what we think of the strength of the case. I think it's very strong. I it's unbelievably strong. And I mean, we we should talk about this. But if you look at the other charges that have been brought by the special counsel, for example, you know, the thousand one case that's brought against say popadopoulos or Michael Flynn. You sort of see there's often an allegation that someone said something untruthful at its it's one time, even when you say one thousand and one just to you know, this is a statute we talked about all the time eighteen USC thousand one making a false statement to law enforcement. Yes. And is one of the things that that that has been charged repeatedly in the Muller investigation. And we've seen multiple instances in some cases. But it's often someone lied about something very specific take Michael Cohen recently. For example, he pleaded guilty to lying to congress about the timing of the conversations about Trump Tower Moscow. The allegation there was he told congress that it ended in January twenty twenty sixteen when he later admitted that it went through at least June of two thousand sixteen that's one very, discreet thing. One of the things that is stunning about this indictment is that you have pages upon pages of lies and basic instances in which stone said that he either had no conversations with WikiLeaks or minimized his conversations with WikiLeaks and others related to the democratic hacks of the emails, and then you go through and sort of methodically. The special counsel's office saying that's not true, and here are and they're quoting, and I think that this is really important. They're quoting because it's not just that they have a witness on the other side who saying that's not true. They have actual they have a what's after they transfer. Exactly. They have they have a transcript from the house. They've got. And then they've got emails from stone. Text messages, what's apps, and basically is don't can say whatever he wants. But you know, the record doesn't lie right? And I should make clear for folk. That when I mentioned this down two thousand and one you can allege that when there's ally to along official and also as here, there's another aspect of it lying to congress. So he's actually charged with house and one multiple times in this indictment, and my my favorite, which I don't know how you escape this because one of the defenses to a false statement is that it was unintentional that you made a mistake or you forgot very hard to prove that sometimes because a busy CEO maybe testifies in a proceeding or makes his statements to along Forstmann agent. And maybe didn't remember particular Email that was from a year earlier a meeting that was two years earlier. And some of that was at issue when Jeff Sessions testified in connection with his confirmation hearing, what meetings did he have and also with respect to that Trump Tower famous meeting from the summer of two thousand sixteen but here in my favorite example, may I release. So this is paragraph thirty three on page sixteen of the indictment. We have the documents right here in front of us..

"Personally, a politically. What is today mean? From your perspective today means that for the first time Robert Muller is pointing to probably the president as colluding with Russia in releasing those stolen documents. Roger stone is clearly named as the intermediary the conduit between Russia WikiLeaks and the Trump campaign, and it casts in very dangerous context the president. But also his son Donald Trump junior who came before a committee where I served judiciary committee and made some statements that are very very seriously in doubt as to their fullness. Now after some of what is in this indict, you think that the president's son John junior because of his testimony before the. History committee, then chaired at the time by cheer Grassley that that he made false statements. So that committee he has some explaining to do, and I think is truthfully. Very seriously in doubt as to some of the statements that he made about the Trump Tower meeting his father's knowledge of it. And about the statements also involving the WikiLeaks release of these documents and some of them are in this Roger stone indictment, but he needs to be called back to the judiciary committee. I've asked the new chairman Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina to do. So if necessary by subpoena, I think it should be done. Alright Senator Richard Blumenthal. Thank you for being with me tonight coming up between the shutdown cave and the indictment of long time. Confidante just how politically damaged the president after today next.
