It's peak season for mosquito borne illnesses, and it'll stay that way through the fall. That's according to the latest put out by the Prince George's County Health Department. The focus now is on reminding residents to take steps that will reduce the risk of bites and mosquito breeding sites. Be sure yourself to protect by wearing long -sleeved shirts, pants and socks. Health officials say any exposed skin should be sprayed with mosquito repellent that contains DEET. And don't forget to remove any standing water like garbage can lids or wheelbarrows. You're back Tuesday with a special Europa League final preview of European Nights with Rory Smith, presented by Paramount Plus. But let's get to it, start this thing off with a toast, Rogelio. I want to raise this third, first Bud Light of the day, it's actually my 23rd. Chilootin Town and all hatters around the world who have lived one of the most remarkable rises in English football history. They beat Coventry yesterday at Wembley on penalties in the championship playoff. Two magnificent teams experiencing all of the emotions because it was only five years since they were lining up against each other in lead two. Wrexham fans, sit up, take note. Chilootin are now Premier League, Chilootin, Dave out. Chilootin, nine years from the very bottom, playing against the likes of Alfredton Town and Hyde United. No club has had such an insane rise from top to bottom and back again to the very elite. The whole squad cost just six and a half million dollars, tiny ramshackle charming stadium, Kenilworth Road, capacity 10 ,000. They'll welcome the nation's state goliaths like Manchester City and Newcastle next season. The Lewin have suffered, they've experienced a fall into non -league, 40 point deductions for financial mismanagement. Five years toiling in the Conference League bankruptcy. Being a Lewin fan has for so long meant turmoil and pain, and now they rightly gain their reward. Their celebration. I went to New Haven last night to eat pizza. Sally's, I ran into a Lewin Town fan. I think it was at Frank Pepe's, I ran into him and he said, I can't wait to play Everton, Rog. And I said to him, I honestly don't know when that game will be. David, we now get to lose twice to Luton Town next season. Luton, you'll have to find the other 34 points you need to survive elsewhere, but I digress. What Luton have experienced? Ultimately, all that's good about football fandom and life. Football is amazing, no matter how much they try and ruin it, David. David, when you think of Luton, can you describe Luton to the non -Luton curious? Yeah, I wonder what the US equivalent of Luton is. I mean, I suppose it's sort of, is it Newark? Not really, it's not that important, but it's just north of London. I'd say, what about an hour north of London? 30 miles. Yeah, north of North London. But really, it's like 30 years away from London. It's like its own ecosystem. Yeah, it's been sort of a massively rebuilt town. It was, as you said, it's the Hatters. It was the centre of the British millinery industry. But there isn't so much hat wearing. It goes on any more. It's fallen on harder times. Luton Airport, a lot of people fluffed their holidays. And Luton Airport, yeah, I said Luton Airport. Luton Airport is a big deal. Tiny stadium. They used to play on a synthetic pitch in the 90s. The first English team to play on a synthetic pitch in the 70s and 80s. I remember that, Rog. That was a big thing. They were the first players to not play on mud in the English leagues. That was an incredible thing about Luton. Great film, Blinded by the Light, Rog. A British independent movie made a few years ago about a young Pakistani kid in Luton who becomes obsessed with Bruce Springsteen. That's a good way to sort of get a feel for Luton. If you want to get a feel for that town that was set in the 1980s, it's great. Get to a game. That is the best way Americans get to a game. It's going to be a tough ticket. It is going to be a tough ticket. I mean, we've all seen on Instagram the away end, which is between two, squeezed in between two terraced houses. It's just going to be, there's just the smell of police horse turd and just cigarettes and spilt beer and body odour. It's just going to waft over the Premier League in the most wondrous way. And I cannot wait now, cannot wait to go and watch a game at Luton town. I'm immediately searching Luton direct flights to the USA. I do think you can fly direct Luton to Washington DC and Luton to New York. That's a, suddenly those prices are going to go up. Okay, Rog, to the football. We're going to start with the relegation battle, the championship Sunday battle. Where have all the good men gone and where have all the gods? We should go back. We came into the day, three teams vying for one safety spot. Those teams, of course, your beloved Everton Football Club, Leicester, champions of just a few years ago and Leeds United. Remember when we used to call them Major League Soccer? How many years ago was that? Major League Soccer, that was for like 10, 11 years. How many years ago was that? Yeah. All Everton needed to do today was to win, to be safe. Simple, all they needed to do and they saw of Bournemouth at home, one nil behind a dooky wonder strike to render Leicester's 2 -1 win against West Ham. Unnecessary, superfluous. Leeds got bludgeoned 4 -1 by Harry Kane and Spurs, so they were also down. And that's how it ends, Rog. Everton survive, Leicester and Leeds go down. Let's go back to the beginning of today and relive it all, moment by excruciating moment. I could see the stress written all over your face, by the way. I just hear you say that. I got nervous again, like nervous again and then I feel sick and then I'm shattered by the end of listening to what you've just described. Essentially my day, my week, my month, my season. I am so very tired, David. That is my dominant emotion. Joy, less, relief, massive. I'm exhausted, I'm shattered. This was the last dance, David. I thought we were meant to win a three -peat at the end of the last dance. By the way, can I just say to everyone that's texted me over the past week and said, win and you stay up. If you can't beat Bournemouth, you don't deserve to stay up. I just want to humanly acknowledge it doesn't help. A season of folly comes to an end, one in which everything that could have gone wrong felt like it did, much wronger actually than we ever imagined. It felt more like a day of reckoning. So numbing because it was caused by our own hand, our own owner, the own board. Farhad Moshiri, reputed billionaire. We've lived in erratic. Yes. I mean, really. David, can I ask you this? You understand rich people. To be a billionaire, do you actually have to have money? Yeah, you do. You have to actually have money rather than be supported by an oligarch. Do you want to get newspapers to put in a billionaire, Farhad Moshiri? If they just say you are, does that make you one? Just checking. It does not. Remember that great scene, what was their show? Silicon Valley, when the guy's net worth goes down below a billion dollars and he has the whole thing that he went from having a car where the doors go up like that to suddenly he just had a car with like regular things. He wants that money where the doors go up, not one with the regular money. I doubt Farhad drives one with the doors go up like that. He did. Maybe he did, but not anymore. He's in the Subaru territory like the rest of us peasants because it's just erratic, unstrategic, ill -informed decisions. Today felt like we were going to get what we deserve for living out this madness. I got out of bed because I haven't slept. I've not slept at all all week. The relegation experience, I just want to be clear to those. Have you ever experienced relegation in your formative? I mean, Chelsea were down when you were a kid. Chelsea were down a lot. Chelsea were into Division 2 a lot all the time. Todd Burley wants to bring back those glory days. Yeah. He's like, that's our tradition. He's doing a very good job of that. Why are we not involved in Championship Sunday? The impotence of fandom is just you never feel it more than when something you truly love and cherish that you feel emotions through, that you connect to other people, to the city you love, to your own formative memories, to your family. This season has been so numbing watching everything on repeat. The thing I love making the exact same mistakes. Honestly, before the game, David, this may sound like a, we survived the near death experience last

Because you know it's pretty hard to think about long term when you're so focused on increasing your hourly every game you play anyway. The chapter on promotions. I feel as one of the more important chapters in the book so many these poker rooms do promotions and they don't think them through very well. I talked to a program manager recently. You have a little promotion as poker room wearing a weekly their daily tournaments. They were adding money to the school. So i said to him this particular managers as read the book. I said to him well. Who's going to get the majority of that money. You have to the price will what will dancer is the tournament players. I said i said well how about this. I said instead of adding the mind directly to the price you you leave the prize pool. What it is but then you say the i ten people who get knocked out of the tournament wrath by while expert players will then figure out how just apply for that too so that may not be that good of an idea but what would what would happen at first particularly before the adjustment was you'd have wild played the beginning of turn and today a lot of tournaments audience players you small small terms and just play real tight surat so now they haven't incentive not to survive and then you could do things like this you can. Here's a voucher to get your feedback and away. You got the voucher. Rogelio plan an hour and a cash. And so now you you start getting tournament players who could allot flick. Ask answer playing cash games and then you could really target it you. You can say something like you can. Only if you want to build your your limit home up being say you must play in our gets hurt interesting back so the these are things that you know you know. Poker rooms could do if they if they would just stop and think about what is going to. The money's going to the recreational players. The very good player is going to get it anyway or early. Still get good portion of less less to reich. The temps the money just going to the very good players. It's got it's out of the poker club. Yeah there's one thing that i'm thinking about regarding what you just mentioned and i liked the idea but it needs to be thought through a bit. For the idea of incentivising. People would devout chairs to play a cash game for example. I think one promotion that is that true mental is where the poker rooms encourage the recreational players to play out of their comfort zone. And do something stupid because in the long run. It's it's again going to be hurting them. Because let's imagine tournament player is suckered into playing the cavs. Game is. nobody's gonna just stay there for an hour even cashing the voucher..

The Bitcoin price has flatlined as fears mount after a swelling of Bitcoin bubbles. Let's check in with Lauren Weinstein, our expert on Internet matters. Lauren. I've never been a Bitcoin fan. How about you? No, I'm definitely not. I'm not interested in crypto currencies of not interested in Bitcoin and personally I wouldn't consider them to be worthwhile Investments for anyone. That's why I stay far, far away from him. And as you noted, Bitcoin has been having these these wild gyrations. It's basically the textbook definition of volatility. Anyone who plays around with this stuff really has to be prepared to potentially lose their entire investment in ways and with rapidity that would probably be quite unlikely with traditional investments and really There are so many worthwhile firms to invest in that air, doing good work there creating jobs, merchandise, advancing science, medicine, all the things that reinvestments usually do so many useful things. So to my mind that that's where I where I would put my money. I would not invest in in crypto currencies under under any conditions at all now. One of the other takes about crypto currencies is that they actually are in that negative in many ways, because they use a lot of electricity to work their way through the Blockchain calculations. The resource is that air used to generate the electricity. And yet they don't really return anything of physical values to the world at large. Now, of course, is always gonna be new new ways coming down the tracks that are going to be viewed as the latest path to getting rich quick. But in the long run my sense remains that traditional investments or what? What makes sense and that's why I don't deal with Cryptocurrencies at all. Supers. "Today. We're taking a look at a quotes from Benjamin Lefty Ruggiero. Ruggiero was a notorious thug and is thought to have murdered twenty six people during his thirty years working for the New York via with reputation as a loyal soldier for the banana family. It's hardly shocking. That he wants said a little violence never heard anyone. This catchy Zinger is attributed to reject Rogelio in the memoirs of former FBI agent. Joseph pistone. Who spent time in deep cover with the mafia hosing as a jewel thief named Donnie Brasco? Pistone had convinced Ribero to bring him into the banana crime family. Soon after they met in the early nineteen seventy s. Ruggieri's relationship with the man he knew as Donnie BRASCO began to blur the lines. Between professional and personal to lefty Rasco was a close friend. And protege someone. He could pass on his wealth of racketeering experience to Roscoe run the bookmaking business and he often dined at rose home with his family. In the Mafia the divide between friend and colleague is inherently muddy to bring a new member into the family is to vouch for them by opening the door to the banana organization. Lefty had staked his life on brass goes loyalty. Which means that if things went sideways both of their lives would be forfeit. A career spent dealing in these life and death. Absolutes may have walked reg- aero's comprehension of violence to him. Aggression was a form of currency something to be bonded and sold and as a racketeer. Bloodshed was a key part of the business model without the threat of violence. His Marx would have less incentive to open their wallets. Of course those threats had to have true weight behind them which is where. Aero's reputation came into play during his criminal career. He murdered twenty-six people either to serve his own interests or those of the people paying him when the occasion called for it he reached for his two pistols one for each hand. Earning him his other nickname to guns. According to pistone regierung may have had a reputation as a killer but in his everyday life he didn't often resort to violence to him. It seemed bloodshed was a business transaction. And if that upset You well. That wasn't his problem. What was his problem was Donnie BRASCO agent? Stones initial assignment was a six month. Sting to gather information about truck hijacking but eventually it grew into almost five years of working undercover gathering Intel on Jero and his associates in the banana family when his superiors finally ordered an end to the operation. In July of Nineteen eighty-one they visited the head of the crew. Sonny black in person to tell him the truth about brass goes identity for the mistake of allowing an FBI agent to infiltrate the Mafia sonny black was murdered and had his hands cut off by his fellow mobsters. It was a fate that was meant to await lefty Jero as well but he was arrested and held in custody by the FBI for his own protection and for the protection of their undercover agent at reject rose trial prosecutors revealed that he had made a concerted effort to find and kill agent pistone wants his betrayal was revealed but he never got the chance. The evidence pistone had collected led to over one hundred convictions including Gyros ironically for a man whose business was governed by murder kindness to someone.
