"While boys, I feel like we talked about 9000 controversial things already, and we still haven't even gotten to the tale of all Maple Leafs stuff last week. The second coming of bertuzzi? You would think so in this town, but all right, let's rewind the leafs jumped out to a 6 one lead versus Boston last week. Come on for a 6 four win, but all everybody want to talk about was Taylor hall, reacting to the bushkin hit from behind by punching him in the head. Leafs fans and media thought there was a suspension coming which I thought was pretty laughable. He ends up getting a $5000 fine la bushkin did not play Thursday, but we'll go to you first, leave superfan. Did you think call was a fine suspension? What should have happened there? Well, the league's not going to suspend him, I will. One year suspension from the podcast. I'm no longer doing the lip gloss with him. When I see him, I'll probably have a conversation with him off to the side. I thought it was ridiculous. And ultimately, they got out skilled. And we already had this conversation about getting out skilled and the barbaric Ness of the melee of afterward. And in one situation, the leafs didn't even provoke them to do this. They simply made a play up the wall and Taylor hall's wires crossed. And I think he much like McKinnon should be locked up and put in solitary confinement. So I've said my piece. He has an open fist when he hits him. It looks like only his thumb hits him. I'm not saying at all the faking anything, but it's so it was so weird to me that he got hurt on that. I mean, I did not see that it wasn't that hard. It wasn't a fence. It was just kind of like a little bump to his chin, maybe he's got kind of a glass jaw at least. I don't know what happened. No, I don't know if you know. I don't know if you've ever watched a Steven Seagal movie, but he got him right here in the pressure point in the back and sometimes that can happen. Maybe he's a black belt, so he knew what he was doing too. But I mean, fine, okay. I didn't see a suspension there. I'm not a bruins fan. People think I'm a bruins fan. Fuck the bruins. Typically. I just didn't see a suspension there. You're the independent which I hear. You know I was what you admit, would you admit when the game got out of hand, the broon started goonan it up? That's what's supposed to happen when a game gets out of hand. And you're supposed to. Not when it's not when it's the Toronto Maple Leafs and not when they were barely even celebrating their goals. They weren't even putting their arms in the air. They weren't poking a goalies. I know that. They might see them in the Eastern Conference Finals or in the playoffs at some point. You want to send a little message for the playoffs. That's what we were always taught to do. Hey, we might see this team again. Go out there and do something. That is the team. You want to play in the first round. I think they dost the bruins. No way. No way. I would not want to play the bruins. I mentioned in that behind this. Dude, is their best matchup. I like the canes. I like the canes for the how do you like the cave for the mental aspect of Freddy Anderson's got to come back to Toronto too? I just think that that's going to sway a lot. Merle, do you agree with that? I'd like to see it, but leafs are too hot right now. They're not going to end up in that wild card, so there's no chance that they end up playing Carolina. I would love to get retribution on the Boston Bruins after that three one meltdown. And then what was it? Was it four one in that game 7? Or was it three ones? Four one. It was four, one, 13. When they had that full on meltdown, but this is a different team and they're built differently. And I know that people were criticizing me for saying dubas was a second best GM at the deadline other than Bill garand, but those moves are proven to be no goalie, chef's kiss. Don't have a goalie. Leafs. They don't need a fucking goalie. They can put what's his name in that. When he was a mechanic. No. Not McKenna. They can not have McKenna. Who is the ebook? They can get David ayers. Tell them the fucking come play for the leafs. He can be a net. That's how many goals are going to be scoring and playing. Forgot their ebook beat them. Oh, that was so good. What else do we got? Peter mrazek, he's likely going to miss 6 weeks with a groin injury. He's not going to be available for the start of the playoffs. Jack Campbell was medically cleared. It's going to be interesting to see what goes on considering the way things went last year, but I don't know. This team isn't built for a playoff run biz. They don't have goalies. They don't have great defense. They're speaking of that crew. They're getting bullied by the bruins when they're down 6 to when they're up 6. Oh, yeah, that's because Simmons Simmons didn't answer the belt, but he did the other night against Philadelphia. Wow, he killed somebody. I got a good chuckle. You landed in Toronto yesterday on Twitter, put out a video of the skyline and roger center and said in Toronto smells like another first round exit. You deleted it. I did because people because people thought I was saying that the Rogers center was Scotiabank and I was getting so many tweets that were like, you're an idiot, you think the roger center is going to make. I was just taking a video of the space signal. I got the roger Senate. It did. And it actually exists. It smelled like a first round exit all over Toronto right now, and it still does. They're not built for a playoff run, biz. We'll see..

"Yeah, I think whenever I guess when we kind of get in trouble it goes like we're in north south team and I feel like all the good teams it's the same way it's your chip and pucks in and then you're just wearing teams down and that's kind of our that's what we do and whenever we're trying to make like cute little plays of the blue line and try and maybe burn a guy one on one and then you're getting it turned over and it's going the other way. Then that's when he gets fired up and yeah he'll definitely call you out on those ones and you try and I don't really have to worry about that because no matter what, I'm chipping the puck in, but yeah it's just and it's crazy to see when we are we do play not like we're not playing good. It's obvious what we're doing. So he'll do straight video sessions though where he like pause it and look at the guy and just be like, what the fuck is this? Well, he doesn't he doesn't call the guys out that hard, but it's. He'll just be like this isn't how we do it or see it's not like calling it but you're the guy on the video and you're like oh shit. You just sink back to your stall. So you think it's him you think it's him being a former player in terms of not really embarrassing guys like he knows after playing like that's not the way to go about things where you'll see some coaches who maybe never played at the highest level, not really care about really embarrassing a guy in front of his teammates. Yeah, I would say that for sure like how many times did you sit in I got it a lot? Video. Yeah, it's horrible. Ruins your day. Probably ruins your week when you sit there and you get called out and yeah, I think that's why guys guys like them and obviously there's times where he's got to get on you a little more than he should. But it's never because he doesn't like you, which is I feel like sometimes you're like this coach hates me. Yeah. And I don't think any guy on our team would ever think that with roddy. Marty, it's already been two years since you guys got Vinnie trochek, man. If it felt like it was yesterday, he kind of seemed like he fit right in like a hand on a glove with you guys. Yeah, he's does everything for us. He's PK power play kind of I feel like this year he's played with everybody too. He's been phenomenal. So obviously we got a we got a bunch of guys that are up this year and hopefully we can keep all of them and he's definitely one that he's a special one that we're going to want to keep around. Who's that right there? What's your dog's name? That's Gus. Oh my God, that's a cute dog. How old is he? He's 9. He's been with me for it all, so he's my guy. I was going to say on camera here, your unibrow looks pretty good. What have you been doing to treat that? I don't know if we talked about it last time. I put a hat on to cover it because these puppies are getting a little I haven't got them waxed for like a month and a half. Do you ever go to the tweezers on the road if you haven't booked a waxing appointment? No, I hate tweezing hurts too much. I told you this before. I'm a wax guy. It's been two years. I couldn't remember. Tweezing is brutal by the way. Who would you who would you say I'm looking at your roster right now? Who's the biggest snapshot on the team? Who maybe will come in, just flipping out if he plays poorly or has a call go against him. Is there one guy who kind of jumps out as a lunatic? Or is it you? All the friends. No shit. Our fans are, they got short fuses. Talk to the Emmy. He's got a short fuse. Terrified and short fuse. Ajo short fuse. Those guys are nuts. I saw a picture that the hurricanes tweeted actually. I think it was Jarvis, maybe ajo and cockney or on the golf course. They were playing. He looks like a truck. Now maybe Jarvis and aha are a little skinny and smaller, but he's a pretty big dude to be flipping out, I guess, all the time in the locker room. It's not all the time, but our bench door might fall off and he slams her a few times. Well, you just mentioned a golf course, weren't you guys with Harry Styles? Isn't that the guy they were on the golf course with? I'll say, don't say you guys. There was a couple. Marty, kneecap, and ajo is Harry. How did they meet him? What was the connection? I mean, he's a fucking a lister. Well, we got there's this, we got a nice little private club here that a few of the boys are members at and Harry wanted to go play some nice golf and I think Justin Williams actually had something to do with connecting that. Is that chatham? Like old chatham or something like that? I told chatham. Yeah, I heard that nice track. What did they say he was like? He was good. Yeah. I don't think he drank. He's not a drinker, so he's just a fucker. And everybody's wipes. They fucking what's his name? Who's the guy? Jason Sudeikis. Did they ask him why he stole Jason Sudeikis wife? I don't think they got into that. I would have fucking asked him. Right before big putt, hey, why'd you steal Ted Lasso's wife? I was just to win the NASA. Hey, why are you fucking other guys wives? Do the boys play a lot of golf on that? Like, are they getting out there a good amount? I mean, the weather's perfect. The whole year there, I feel like. We're playing a little bit. I think this last month we've had, we played like a three and four, and then we've had three or four days off, and then we play a three and four and then four days off. So yeah, there's, I think, yeah, a few of the guys went to Pinehurst last week. Yeah, we've been, we've been playing a little bit. Looking at the stats, slavin's already got ten penalty minutes in 60 games. The guys give him this guy give him a shift, guys give him a shift for that, the wrong considering he only had two last year. Yeah, I guess we got to get on him, but and the ten this year, they've been, I think he's got a like, they've all been penalties. Well, it wasn't even, wasn't even over the glasses here. So yeah, we got to get on him about that. So when are we going to see you back in the lineup? Are you not really willing to say yet, but you kind of seem to be thinking it's kind of coming to an end here, your injury? Well, it's only been four days and I think I left my hamstring in the rafters of the ACC out there. But yeah, it's coming. It's coming along. It shouldn't be too long. Nice. These are the doldrum days anyways. You just want to maybe get back 6, 7 days before the playoffs then go cruising right in. Yeah, no, I need to get my reps up. Now it's.

"He loves his fans and he almost killed somebody with a slice a slice shot. And that kind of when people around, that demon mentality gets in his head and literally he had that hitch because he fears he's going to hurt somebody again. That's awful. But that's a great mentality to have for him. It shows you how great Charles Barkley is. That he'll play and play and play and play, no matter how bad his swing is because he loves it so much. But he has the hitch because he hurt somebody bad, right? You ever had anything like that like a hitch or yep and sports or hockey vodka when I play golf? Just a couple shots before we go out and takes away but Yvonne lendl called me mister yippy. That was his nickname for me back in an early 90s when the Tahoe tournament was a celebrity tour. And I think I played, I think I almost 36 pots in the first 9 holes. And I threw my putter in the middle of the middle of Lake Tahoe on the 9th green, which was 18, it's time, because I was tea off the back. I had 36 pots through my putter in the Lake and yeah. I put it with my driver the next 9 holes, put it better, but Yvonne lendl he called me, mister yippee, 'cause I'm just every single pot. Now you got the vodka you'd be fine. Yeah, not anymore though. Yeah, I remember I played amateur tournament one time my buddy Ryan and we were both I mean, there were some of the top amateurs in Massachusetts playing in this tournament. And he and I are both like four or 5 handicaps at the time. So we have no chance, but it's two man best ball. First hole I cold topped one. He grinded out a par. Second hole, he hooked one. I grinded out a par. And on the third, he pulled out a bottle of whisky over on the side and was like, hey, it's all over. And we ended up shooting 67 and we were tied for third after the first round of the call. Get rid of inhibition here. He's got to have that. Wouldn't that whisky is in you? Start playing lights out after that. Yeah. All right, well, anybody else you may got anything? I mean, what a legend you are, what an outlook you got. Thank you. I love that though. Sometimes it works for me. Sometimes it works against me, but just raw and real. People don't want to listen to podcasts and talk about bullshit. They want to hear what you really think. They want to hear your life, they want to hear real opinions, right? So might as well give it to them, rather and be boring. So couldn't agree more. You've never been boring your whole life? No, no. You're not a boring guy. No. Definitely not boring. To be the last thing that's going to happen to me. So I just. I'm not out. I'm just talking. You know what I'm saying? No, I'm not. No. Frankie's still better. I am bitter about it. It's okay though. I love the islanders. Thank you. I'm a fan. Appreciate fan. Just I just won't watch them. Awesome. Thanks for.

"Because that's how the league is going. Yeah. Thank you. Except for one of my fantastic points. It's still gonna make a stop. Never should have let the chiefs go down. No. 60 yards and 13 seconds. I mean, they played a prevent defense and not get crushed like deep, but you can't keep letting those guys come up the middle on two plays. I mean, it was just psychotic allowing those two fucking passes to be completely different. I think is interviewing for a bunch of head coach with jobs and I saw somebody tweet out like all head coaching jobs for this person is just rescinded. There's no way he can be a head coach if you're just gonna let that happen. I don't know why you change your game plan that much. I understand you don't want to get crushed by these really, really fast wide receivers on the outside, but you have to play a little bit tighter because he's just he has two time outs and he's just gonna complete two 30 yard passes and you're gonna fucking lose. It's as simple as that. I also don't know how kickers don't just puke all of the things. Oh my God. Sometimes they do. Sometimes they do. But they're hidden that he missed that 50 yard earlier in the game and he missed that PAT and then he's gotta go back out there to kick 49. Like mahomes has done the heavy lifting. He's Patrick Mahomes and he did it. Now he's depending on you to go out there and make this kick. I know that they're professionals and we do with their whole lives, but if that's me, not only do I throw up everywhere, but that ball hits the back of my lineman and in the ass and I just run away and run off the field and disappear. And we're not even talking about Tom Brady's game. Like there was a point where it was 20 7 to three in the third quarter and we said there's no way that he could possibly do this again. You're putting yourself in this situation saying there's no way Tom Brady can do the 28 to three against the falcons again right now. His no chance he doesn't have like the Belichick, the whole thing doesn't have the magic. And he did it. He came all the way back. I mean, obviously, crazy stuff was happening like extra time stuff was happening to the rams. I don't know what happened. I think just them being in the presence of Tom Brady happened. But I think that's part of it. That game was fucking tide. And he did it. He came all the way back, fumbles. Just touchdowns, amazing throw to fucking Evans. It was insane what was happening in that game. And we were actively saying, is he doing what we think he's doing? I had a moment where I was like, I'm watching the greatest quarterback of all time in a divisional playoff game, actively do one of the greatest comebacks of all time. I kept telling myself that and he as he was completing passes and throwing touchdowns. I'm like, it's happening. Right now, we're watching what we're gonna watch forever on highlight reels. We're watching it right now. This next throw will be on a highlight. And then he threw a bomb to fucking Evans. It was like, I felt like I was in another planet. I was outside of my body. I said, right now this next highlight will be a highlight forever and then threw it to Evans and it was a fucking it was fucking nuts and they lost. They lost. All right, Jeremy Ronnie's coming up Hall of Famer. We're talking all kinds of sports, football, how cool it is. This guy's done it. He's done it all. He's alleged. Also my first time on barstool since I got fired. Welcome back. So good to have you back. So what is it been two years? Has it been two full years? In two years. Actually actually two years almost to the day. So the fact of me being here now two years afterwards is it's fitting. Special time. It's special. Well, especially because it's barstool, right? So if you want to, if you want to talk and talk the way you really want to talk, it's probably a good place to be. This is the spot. This is what we do this is a spot. I was life been in the last two years. Amazing. Just going to golf tournament. Actually grew up as a man, right? So it's like I had time to be at home on that traveling. I played golf. I became like the best husband of all time. No question. Total pat on the back there. Okay, that's okay. I'm gonna pat myself in the back. Trust me, there's a lot of times where I was not. So it's nice to know that my wife loves me very, very much, especially when I've been home in COVID. And I've had my son home for two years, so yeah, life has been good. I like it. The further away from sports, I can get probably the happier I'm gonna be. They've been like sick of you at home and all yet? No, not at all. Good. I'm really good at keeping people's attention at home. How's your golf game? My wife is my wife is she loves. She loves having me home. Yeah. Your golf game getting better. By the way, it's just me and my wife, by the way, at home together. Nobody else, just the two of us. So it's good. Yeah. You getting better at golf worse. I'm actually getting better at golf because I've been able to realize that I'm not going to hit the farthest ball. I'm not going to be the biggest strongest guy, but if I just out think somebody, it's going to be really good. So like.

"Obviously, I'm not Josh Allen in no way, shape or form. But hey, if I was gonna become a quarterback, I'd maybe I should add added the word light to be in there. But I think taking it away is better. I do Josh Allen. The way you framed it was like, hey, obviously, if I was a QB, the best person you could compare me to would be trash hour. Right. And that's good. That's a good takeaway. He's so good. That is so good. It's hard. It's hard for me to wrap my brain around and mahomes is obviously like just as good, probably. You know, they're neck and neck for the best quarterbacks in the league. But I was so good. I think mahomes might be better. He probably he might be. He's certainly more experienced and he's got a ring like I get that. It's hard. You're arguing about the best of the best, but it just feels like if Joshua and one or two, he could throw a football 300 yards. On a string. Yeah. He just has a cannon and I agree. Mahomes is just as good. And that's what makes it look so great. The way Allen just like they're just design run plays, but then he's wildly athletic like that guy was making plays at the end that he had no business making. It was incredible. But then you'll watch mahomes too. Mahomes will be dropped back in the pocket and they'll have somebody coming from his blind side and he'll step forward, see it at the last second and step back in the federal fly right by him. That is so possible to comprehend. And what he does things like what's crazy to me is we met Josh Allen at the same time that we met Sam darnold. We did pizza reviews with them prior to the draft. So Josh Allen, there was all this huge campaign Josh Allen is tall on part of my take and there was always draft Josh Allen dot com they had and there was all this talk about this guy's gonna be the real deal and it was almost like a joke that because he's tall and because he has big hands and because it throws the ball really far, he's gonna be an amazing draft pick. Whenever part of my take takes that up, you don't know if it's like sarcastic or if it's real. And we met him during the pizza review and I remember texting my buddies and my buddies reminded me of this in our group chat list, I say remember like 5 years ago or whatever it was whenever I got drafted four years ago, that you guys that Frankie texted us and said, I hope the jets don't draft this guy 'cause he has like rocks for a brain. He was just, he was like, he came with his parents and his girlfriend to the pizza review and he was so nice. And I'm like, how is this guy gonna be at NFL quarterback? It's almost the same when you look at Zach Wilson. How is that guy going to go out there and lead a team, which he evidently did not? But there was just something about, I guess just he was so young and he wasn't drafted yet and I was like, is this guy Wyoming? So it's like he was so polite and he was just like, mister portnoy and mister barelli, thank you. I was just like, is this guy dumb? You know, I didn't know. And being able to watch him and how much he's fucking taking over this league, he is a, he's a he's a killer now. The look he has on the sidelines and the way he's crazy. He's fucking psychotic and he's he's like another he's like a he's like a robot like a raged robot. He's not, he's not who he used to be. He's like, he's this man now. It's fucking crazy. And Dave made a video last night and he was right. As excruciating as that loss was, and it doesn't get you can't get your heart ripped out more than that. That type of game over time, Josh Allen doesn't even get to touch the ball and over time because of the NFL. That was my biggest problem. Yeah, no, people can go back and forth on that. But our team seconds do they just needed to, like, they just needed to not let them get 40 yards in 13 seconds. Right. Right. So my quick point, you go to them. Well, I'm just gonna say, but as bad as last night hurts and it doesn't get much worse, you can lean on and fall back on and think we have Josh Allen for the next 15 years. And that is you are going to be successful at some point as long as you just don't fuck it up and I don't think a guy like Josh Allen can really fuck it up. He's that good. So talent. Absolutely. Both those guys. And so last night, as much as it hurts, you got such a bright future and Dave also said, you're not the New York Jets, which they're not. Like you are just everything is so much brighter than that. Like take salsa and that despite waking up this morning and being like, man, I can't believe we lost that game like that. You got Josh Allen. It's gonna be great. Yeah. Yeah, I feel like the NFC quarterbacks used to be awesome. Like that was a gauntlet to go through in the last, I don't know from last year for the last ten years, honestly, but now the AFC quarterbacks are just outrageous. Like that is gonna be so brutal to get out of the AFC. No, but my point on the NFL has made the league a quarterback league like it's pass heavy, it rewards quarterbacks and just the OT like not to allow those quarterbacks to go back to back because NFL is in the entertainment business and I just think that that just needs to be changed. I mean, everybody would have been on their edge of their seat talking NFL for another, I don't know, it could have been hours could have been till now until one defense had to stop those guys, and I understand 13 seconds, you know, you could have stopped them there, but Squibb it maybe. Right, or something, right? Maybe you can play other ways to win the game. However, the way the league is, with regards to what they're trying to make it, I think that you can't take that out of the quarterback's hands in overtime. Like that should just keep going. Look, I agree with you. Obviously, I think everybody wanted to see you like more just QB versus QB stuff last day. I had a bunch of money on the bills, responsibly. So I couldn't agree with you more. But I would also argue those have been the rules. People know that, the teams know that and if you can't stop them from scoring a touchdown, then buy stats, you're going to like, you have to, at any point, if they can just, if they get the ball and that means they're automatically going to score a touchdown, you will lose the game. You can. You have to be able to stop them. And also, and so I understand that like an overtime it sucked, sucked at the bills that obviously Josh Allen, everybody wanted to see QB versus QB. It's really stupid, but if your team, if you are instantly like, oh, it's a coin flip, and we knew they were just going to score touch that. Well, then you can't win a football game if they're going to score every time. And also, people were bringing up the fact that a few years ago when it was patched chiefs, the same thing happened to the chiefs and they lobbied for the rules to change and they got voted down. So it's like, you know, they wanted to change as well when it happened to them and it just didn't happen. So you made a great point. Injuries and the percentage of how long the game goes, you're more apt to get into it. KFC made a great point that if the bills had just won the coin toss and went down and scored a touchdown, majority of the takeaway would be, that was the best game of all time, amazing win Josh Allen's amazing. We would not be talking about the overtime rules, just because the bills are super likeable, amazing franchise with the really fun fan base and like the unlikeable team just happened to win and the really likeable quarterback sitting on the bench like the shots of him sitting there not touching the ball and being kind of just done standing there like that kind of added to us being like, well, how does that guy not play? Meanwhile if it was mahomes, he.

"Stop talking about Disney and Frankie's just now, he doesn't care. He's never experienced good golf shoes before. I mean, people have roasted him before my Instagram stories for his shoes saying, what are those? And he had those black shoes where you kind of like click the back of them and you know, you don't have to tie them and he always just had the weirdest golf shoes ever and I finally just got him a pair of proper golf shoes from G four got on the MG fours. And he put them on yesterday and he comes over to me and goes, can I just have this insert in every shoe I've ever worn ever at the restaurant? I want this, I wanna wear these forever because it is a different type of feeling and it's not just us trying to sell the shoe. You have to go try it out. Go to any store sells G four, whatever. Put your foot in that shoe and you're gonna understand what we're saying, it's different. You've never felt a soul like that ever. G four dot com slash four, you get your first order 10% off. You're welcome. G four dot com slash four. The gal of answers, I think are the best all round shoe, ever created. I'm gonna wear those today at the Rossi. And they've got many different styles. They got camo styles. They've got some of the more classic with the brown trim. And they're just phenomenal. You can wear them in any set of you went and played Augusta. You would like rock the gal of enters. They're just made for that kind of look. They're super comfortable. You can walk in them, cart and them, no problem, and then again, if you want to get in terms of the more sporty and unbelievably comfortable ones, the MG fours, they got the MG four X two, so they got all kinds of good shoes. So G four dot com slash four. You get 10% off. I feel bad to speak about dad, get roasted. My dad's still mad at me. I think from like two years ago, I took a picture of him playing golf and you know my dad's an outdoorsman. A fisherman, a hunter, a bit of a farmer and he had black cargo pants on and the top comment was, that looks like a man that owns a lot of duct tape and I showed it to my dad and he just goes, I do own a lot of duct tape. Yeah. That he's wearing the right clothes 'cause it's on bread. So perfect. I know the Internet looked at it as like a dish and I should have done that. And he's like, yeah, fuck yeah. He was like pumped about this. He's like, you know how many situations you find yourself in where you can use duct tape? There's so many. There's like, he's like, you know, I actually need to get some more duct tape. Yeah. Should have some, we got Hudson swafford won the American Express. Not the most electric name of all time or player to watch, but he's repeatable argon, so we just did a little G four thing. He looked great, extremely classy, but if you're just a general sports fan with the name and sort of the demeanor, I don't know that I don't know that you would call him the needle. If you really, if you're a real. You don't play well. And you don't play well, just turn it by the way. I know people need a lot of people. People are wondering, people are doing it. He played pretty well. He played pretty well. He didn't win. He's no Hudson swafford, but he played well. And then probably my favorite part of the entire weekend was John rom with a video yesterday that came out, where he's walking by and he will put the audio. But he just said piece of shit fucking set up putting contest week. Putting contest waiting. Candid what you want, what we're looking for is why we want guys mic'd up all the time. I understand they probably don't love it. They get a little bit, they're vulnerable. They're exposed. This is what you want to see here. If this was captured in a three second clip, imagine the kind of shit imagine the kind of shit that is just set out there all week long among these guys. Phenomenal clip from John rom. Yeah, really good. And then also, whoever caught it, their buddy was standing right next to him. I was like, did you just get that? Did you just get that? And it was just, yeah, it was really good clip. Yeah, it's almost you bring up an interesting point rigs. If you like these guys up, they wouldn't say these things. They might. But they would largely probably avoid it. It's almost like and it's not the way you want to do it and it would not be a happy candid relationship with the player. But if you just sort of like, you basically have to catch them in a moment where they don't want to be mic'd up, where you get the best stuff. So it's hard to balance that because John is different though. I think if even if you throw a mic on rum, he forgets immediately and it's just John rom the entire round, but there are guys who would put the mic on and they would know and they'd be like, all right, let's just be let's not say anything crazy. So it's tough. Yeah, I would love to Mike everybody up, but I also think that deters guys from saying anything. So it's kind of a tough song and dance. Yeah, I think they're all protecting their brand. And then, like, I'm just thinking about ram if you did have a mic up, and he was focused on that. He's like, I can't say a word. I can't say a word. As soon as that Mike comes off, I mean, he would just have a case of the Tourette. He would just have a thousand curse words that would come out just to unpack it all because you know that just boils inside of him and he has to get that out. He might play worse if he was miked up. Honestly, because I think so. He couldn't let that tension out. It was a great clip though. He was fucking bad. Toy pines this weekend. We're going to be there. We're actually going up to the kingdom on Friday and then we're probably going to be at the tournament Saturday in San Diego. So excited, big, big week. This always was, again, when Tiger Woods would play a full schedule. This is when Tiger would usually start his year. He won at Torrey pines like 8000 times. So I always start to feel like the real PGA Tour begins when Torrey pine starts when the farmer's insurance starts. So big week for that. And then I just have to mention the bill's chiefs game last night. It was awesome. Crazy. I was going to say, I was always going to say, we're talking about Hudson swafford and I get that this is a golf podcast for sure. There's no doubt about it. It's a big part of what we debatable. It's true. True. But also, we're about to have a hot. The greatest for 45 minutes and talk. I will say we only had three mics despite being a podcaster in that Jeremy Ron interview and I just handed the mic to the three hockey guys and I just sat there and looked at him for the first 45 minutes of the interview until I grabbed the mic and said something because Jeremy ronin is a guy that I know through his media appearances. Like that's how I know who he is. I remember he used to go on the Dan Patrick show all the time and they would punch him in the face. That's how I know Jeremy roenick. And then he's obviously to you guys. He's a much bigger deal. So I sort of sat that interview out. But what I'm saying is that we just had the greatest weekend of NFL playoff football that we've ever seen and it was truly truly unbelievable. I know we don't say that on this show, but there's no other way to describe what we witnessed this weekend and especially last night was just not to be believed. Yeah. It was not recently biased either, so a lot of people on Twitter trying to say if it's recently biased if it's not. It's just flat. I don't know how you can have better games. It's just flat out the best. The best playoff weekend you can possibly have. Every single game ended on a buzzer beater if you think about it. Just the best. Three of the games finished with a game winning field goal and then the fourth game finished with maybe the best game ever played touchdown over time. I know a lot of people have takes lurch was doing his lurch things on Twitter, talking about the overtime and just called himself Josh out. I mean, that was yeah, I am Josh Allen. Well, everybody was just like Josh Allen. I was like, if I'm gonna be a quarterback, I'll be Josh Allen. In what way? If I was pretty funny. In no way possible. I'm sitting there sore as hell from playing a game called paddle tennis. I can't move. Obviously that's not connected through the tweet, but in no way am I Josh Allen, so I just, I don't know, in my own head, it was funny and maybe it didn't land as in others minds as well as it did in mine, but I thought it'd be, I thought it was funny, so no, but I think the games were absolutely the only thing that I think just said, if I was a QB, I would be Josh Allen. And lurch knows that it's not gonna hit because he even said he's like, I'm sore from paddle tennis, but people don't know that that's not gonna connect. So people just think that you're calling yourself Josh Allen and they're like, why?.

"On the airplane. It's over. So guys, stop all airport. He just quit. He quit. I go, what do you mean? He goes, he just quit and he walked off and he's gone. How does that not happen more often? I was gonna say, I give you your brother's shoes and being like, we're screwed now, but on the flip side, I love a rage quip, and just like, I'm done. Like, I don't want to do this anymore. Reached my limit, and I'm just leaving. Right in this second, I am an employee of this company, but I'm just going to head towards that door and now it's over. I don't have to deal with the shit anymore. The energy he came into work with today. He got in. He checked two bags and then he's done. He was so close to Queen priory. He just need to see one more bag tag. And he's like, you know what? And it was a brown guy. Your brother's back. He's like, one more, one more 51 pound bag, and I'm fucking leaving this place. Yeah. I'm getting out of here. And then the first the second bag was 52 pounds, and he was just see it. Okay. Okay. When I was a kid, when I was a kid, probably fucking 20 years ago. We went to breakfast one time with the whole family and we're sitting there, we order our breakfast. And it's like 45 minutes go by and we got nothing. I'm telling you like nothing, no drinks, no food, no updates, so eventually I believe like my dad gets up and goes and like, finally grabbed somebody and asked him, hey, we ordered food like 45 minutes ago. What's going on? They go, oh, your server quit. What do you mean? Yeah, they just like quit. So like, we don't know what to tell. We don't have anybody. Oh, so like, should we just leave? And they're like, you know, you gotta do whatever you guys want. We are just like, so it's over. Full experience now is just over. And we sat there dude. We got nothing to get our chocolate milk. We didn't get orange, we got your server just like they just left. It's amazing. When shit hits the fan and some of these places, people are making minimum wage or whatever. I'm not saying that guy at the airport was. I don't know why he quit, but it's amazing when things are so busy and so hectic that these people that you know they don't give a fuck about their jobs that they actually stick it through there because it could be full on chaos if people just start doing this guy did. Where it's just, you know what, I'm done. Okay. I'm just seen from, I think you should leave, where he's like, I'm done. Okay. He's just gives up. Which one is that? I know, I'm trying to think about which one that one. Oh my God. He's like, I'm done. They're like, he's like, okay, no more. You can't say no more. You have to continue. You have to continue on. Dude, I'm also just picturing like how did he leave? You know how you have that little weighted section and there's the stand there that he sits behind. I mean, if that bag comes through and he just walks over the weighted stand, just clears out and just gets the first cab out of there. Like, what was his exit pat? That is. I picture, yeah, ducking under those ropes to get through the lines. People are like, where's he going? Yeah. You're right, though. He probably went in there thinking like, all right, I got rents due in a week. I just got out. Tough it out, put on a keep our head down and go. And then there was just one thing and apparently it was your brother's bags where he was just, I'm out of here. And you know, best of luck to that guy. I hope he finds happiness. I hope he finds what he's looking for. It wasn't my brother's bag per se, but he was in line. Gotcha. I'm not gonna say us fat severances showed up, and that was the final straw that broke this guy's back. But you know, my brother didn't see it and he's so now yeah, now he's just in the airport and he might be in Florida for a couple extra days. You guys don't have a great bag history in the lurch family tree as is with your I think you're still looking for your united bag that Frankie saw on the carousel and just waved at it. I did get that back, it would about 8 months later. So yeah, that was a tricky one. Frankie way of goodbye to it as he got to Newark and Trenton too. So I don't know why he's laughing, but they both arrived about 8 hours before I did. I put my hand on it and I was like, God bless I left. I know we talked about this, not long ago, but we were just together at LAX after the impossible connection and then our world separated. Boys, I have a new golf game. To introduce you guys to. A brand new golf game. So it's called animals. And this is a game two weeks ago. I believe it was. These guys Gary and Mike, who came up with this game, flew out to Arizona, so we got to teach you this new game. Everybody's looking for new golf game all the time. At any given moment, you're looking for a new golf game. It's called animals. You download the app. I'm going to talk about it. I'm going to start by showing you guys the logo. Which is awesome. Yep. It's a mule. Look at their logo. That's how this game works. Animated mule. And a mule? Not elwood. Here's how this game works. There's certain there's a bunch of actually different animals for different kinds of golf shots. For example, an armadillo is if the ball lands on or bounces off the cart path, okay? And once you get an animal and a mule, you have that anime until somebody else does the same thing. Whoever has the most of these animals, whatever the beverage cart comes by has to buy for everybody. That's the entire game. And it is awesome because you could be playing horribly. You could be playing terrible, you could be playing really well. It doesn't matter. If you do any one of these, I don't want to call them objectives, but if you accomplish one of these things, whether you're trying to do or not, you pick up that enemy, you have the most of them, beverage cart rolls up, you got to pay and buy for the entire round and it is really fun. And I'm talking this armadillo thing is a good example where somebody will hit one off, they'll be a little rattled and spray it off to the right, hits the car path that everybody goes, oh orbital and everybody starts going nuts. It's a phenomenal game, a ton of fun animals, obviously everybody loves animals, animals are cool and cute. They get all these little I'm showing you guys. Are the objectives quote unquote, largely positive or negative? Are they negative? Generally negative, so you get a rock lobster as if the ball hits a rock. Okay. A quail, if you lose your golf ball, you get a quail. So is this so the out and so are you like is the app just the rules or are you like plugging in what happens in your group? What explain the app to me? That's a good question. So the app tracks exactly the status of everyone. So if you get one of those, you hit it. The animals go in and you're the ZooKeeper. So the zookeepers has the most of the animals. And this app, again, in real time, each hole you just plug in what's going on. And then it tells you who has how many and you can just follow that in real time and then there's a couple of ways you can play. But whenever the beverage cart comes by, typically, that person buys the round and then everything clears out. And starts over again, fresh. So you just got to dedicate one person as a ZooKeeper and that person's keeping track of as a beverage card game. I like it. I mean, there's.

"So when you see a circle K, I need you to go up and hit it up. This is the perfect road trip stop. I'll probably see you there. Four players are my barstool sports. We are back. We have a big show. We have Jeremy roenick, joining the show. I will say as hockey got growing up, St. Louis blues fan against the Chicago Blackhawks against Jeremy roenick all the time. This is one of my favorite interviews we've ever done. JR is a huge golfer. He was playing in the Hilton grand vacations tournament of champions last week, the celebrity portion, obviously. He has some history of barcelo sports to be on barstool podcast. We were a little nervous going into it because of that history, and he just led the interview with it. He's real. He's raw. He's candid. He told stories about playing golf with president Trump when he was president. Unreal stories about old time hockey, the difference between them and now I know it's not a hockey podcast, but if you're just a sports fan or a fan of greatness in general, he's obviously a hockey Hall of Famer. He was a huge part of hockey broadcasting for many, many years, and it's just a really, really good interview. So JR, make sure you stick around listen to that. And then Danielle, four play bump. We had her on the show, the last show. She goes out and just fucking watch. She won down there. We were there all week. Big week for us. We got what, 6 interviews while we were down there in Orlando. And then Danielle Kang. And I was looking at it. I mean, obviously she wins. It's really cool. You feel like, oh yeah, Daniel king's awesome. She wins tournament. She's a major champion. Like, that's her 6th win ever. So like, she plays golf tournaments all the time every year. Dozens of them and just doesn't win and last week she just want. She won the fucking golfer. It's phenomenal. I mean, we talked to her for an hour and I tweeted it out and meant no disrespect to Daniel Kang, but we talked about nothing for an hour. I mean, she said she didn't know anything about the golf course. We talked about mermaids. We talked about if we're a real people. If we're living in a simulation, she asked us if we were going to Disney. She said, maybe she'll go to Disney if she can get out of the pro am and in time. Everything about it felt like it was just a mall at any type of week for Danielle Kang, from our point of view. Meanwhile, she said that she had worked like four hours on the front 9 on her Tuesday practice around. It's just, you forget that when they're done recording and they leave us and we all are having fun and we go to Disney and eat our milkshakes and our brownie sundaes and our steak sandwiches and all that stuff and we're discussing human beings that she goes back and she's a professional athlete. It's hard for me to make that connection, where it's like, all right, we're hanging out with her. She's one of the boys, the way she was talking. It's like, all right, and then she just goes out and wins like an LPGA event. I can't make that connection of how good of an athlete she is because of how awesome she is. And I've struggled with that with all of our guests. The fact that they go out and do these things, it really is mind-blowing that she went out and won that tournament. The way she was talking about how she knew nothing about the golf course and I felt like I was talking one of my buddies. And you watch her on TV, making these eagles and draining these putts and so who is that? I don't know. Who's that person that is doing all that stuff? How can someone be that normal? How could someone be that normal in that awesome and then also that amazing enough? You can't compare everybody to Bryson. I mean like there are people out there like she might be like deflecting or saying like, you know, downplaying how in tune she is. I mean, she spent the whole day playing 9 holes. So if you spent the whole day like putting around night like she did at least admit to that. So, but she does make it on our level. Like, no, I'm just like you're having fun, so you can talk to her as a human being, but certainly everybody's not like Bryson, which is just you can't even talk to that species. What's that? They're a little bit kissed or ask, where kids plays it off like that too, and then you learn like he got there two and a half hours early and he's with the physio and he's in the truck and he's working on his body and he's like, when he grinds, he grinds, she reminded me of that a little bit and like Frankie said she said it took her three hours to play the front 9. She let three groups go through. Like she was working as hard as humanly possible to learn the front 9 of that golf course or 9 holes, whichever 9 she was playing that day. So you're right, it's cool that she sat there and shot the shit with us. We were supposed to do the interview with her a little behind the curtain at noon and then she was supposed to tee off, I believe at one, and she was like, how long do you guys want me for? I was like, well, 30 minutes, you know, at least it would be great. She's like, well, do you want to go longer? Because if you want to go longer, I need to comment like three or four, and we can just talk forever. And we were like, yeah, let's do that. So that whole hour long conversation about talking about nothing was her also being aware that she was going to talk about nothing with us, and that was talking about nothing with us forever. She needs to do that later in the day. When she actually has shit to do. So she's just the best. I'm with Frankie. They're still a total disconnect for me for whatever reason I can't wrap my head around these professional athletes doing what they do while also speaking with us at any point in time. For whatever reason, it just doesn't make sense to me. It's stupid, but it's human nature. I put myself in her position, right? All right, I'm down here, terming the champions. I'm playing this week. I'm a professional golfer. This is my job. If that were me, I think I would be in my hotel room until I had to go to the golf course. And practice and then go right back. Like I would be a ball of nerves. I'd be freaking out, I'd be like, oh my God, I gotta play in front of people. There's these expectations that I'm this person and I have won this major and this many tournaments. So I just have to be laser focused. I certainly don't have time for this stupid fucking podcast where we talk about mermaids and conspiracy theories and whether or not we should be eating seafood. I would just be focused. But this is a credit to Herbie because it's part of her this is who she is. She's loose. She's like, yeah, I don't know much about the golf course, but I was out there for a few hours trying to figure out just the front 9. I can come talk to you guys. It's pretty relaxed and chill. And then when it's go time, it's go time and I'm gonna try and win this tournament and you know sometimes I am actually going to win the tournament. And that's what she did. It's just a different level. And for me, there's a disconnect that I don't understand and it just makes what these people do all that more impressive. Yeah. It does. It's also a plug to go watch that four man scramble against her and you know the interview's not the only piece of content you're done with. We played we played around with her for 5 hours and we got the sear up close play golf and it was a corset like we didn't love and she didn't know and she still was amazing and came all the way back and stormed back to try and tie us up and it's a great match and I don't think it's gotten as much love as it should on YouTube. It's gotta get more views because of how awesome a person she is and hopefully this win will catapult that side of people wanting to watch more content with her. Let's make this about us. I love it. I think that's a great call. Yeah. I get a small update that my brother just texted me that I have to share 'cause Frankie was just chatting. And if this happened to Frankie, I think he'd blow the whole place up. So my brother is flying home with his two kids and his wife today from Florida. They're checking in their bags, whatever, like, in line, the guy, and it's a small regional airport. The guy who is checking in bags, checks in two bags, and then quits his job. He's done. He quits his job walks off. Now all planes, everything's just delayed because he checks in for multiple airlines and he's done he walked out. And I'm like, no, no, no, this is not the people. He's my brother's like, yeah, we're just, I don't know what we're gonna leave because we need to get somebody new in here to check the.

"We have an old one to keep making the same mistakes over and over again. Don't culture quality through the process of being able to find contractors or quoting apples to apples and they allow the contractor to put their quote together quotes put the quote unquote together. Based on what. Absolutely i think that is That's really invaluable information because most people would actually maybe go out and find a contractor and bring the contractor to the property. and that's contractor. What do you think. I should get done to to get this property right and again you can. You can get bids from three different contractors. And they'll give you three different way off base because what they think and their goal is or what they think our goal. This may be totally often. Which are actual goal is so i love how you're able to start with the goal. I know what you want as far as like a numeric number how to make this amount of money once you actually know that goal you want to actually see if you have or see what kind of capital you have access to okay Because again you can have a goal and not have access to that capital so know what kind of access you have capital to and and how you could actually meet this goal and then you create your needs and wants louis. Okay needs and wants us really going to show you. Hey this is what we need to get done and if we have room in the budget. This is what we want to get done. Okay i love that so once you have you have that right now you have that checking your pictures you can now send the same lists to every single g. c. for the perfect. Hey this is the scope of work and everybody has the same as the scope of work so you can get comparable bids even if even the factual businesses are totally different correct. Absolutely ed because you're basing your basing. All the quotes are going to be based on this particular document and so i tell people that they need to really to be successful in his business. That is that you need the bypass the general contractor in. You need to act as your contractor. Why because this is a business to make money. Then why should i pay twenty twenty two twenty thirty fifty points on a job depending on the size of course. Why should i pay to a contractors. Go journal contract over it. When i could pocket that money and supervise. Look after the work myself. I never advise people Particularly new real estate investors to do the work themselves. I have scars all over my body. That's all you that that's not a good way to go. People think oh. I was just doing my own demo. No no you're going to hear. I've seen so many situations where demo occurs where the knock out a load bearing wall then all of a sudden you end up with a catastrophe. That's gonna cost three or four times more to repair than what it was worth in savings so i always encourage people to deal with professionals and to act as their own contractor if you are serious about being a real estate investor so why. Why do we want to do that. Because if you are a serious roasted investor you need to have a background and understanding of being able to walk into any property in the future and understanding what in needs and having a rough idea that time and the cost involved in doing the work. Oftentimes i see so many estate investors newbies. Wanna walk in all just hired a property inspector. They're just going to get a home inspection done and relied individuals. Given what you know what needs to happen Work in rely on that. And if you have to spend three to five hundred dollars every every property looked at that you could be a lot of money. So i think that you need to learn to ask skill set that you can use in the future not only to evaluate properties but also the same time manage and look after your own renovations. That's where you make the money you make the money for obviously on the by absolutely and so many times i find people just just overpay but you bake. That's the number. One thing is making money on the by number two is the actual renovation. You have to save money on their rehab and really the roenick part in this whole processes. And that's often what i find. The people is a huge feared for them to overcome. Because think about it rehabbing a property that you've purchased the purchaser. If you've got a deal you got a property that needs work. You bought this property in order for you to increase the value of the property literally. You've got a decrease meaning you've got to go in there. And you got knocked. Some laws knockout a kitchen. Knock on whatever you gotta do all these things in fact in your decreasing if you were to put the sign up for sale after you've done all that you know getting rid of all that junk you've decrease value in your pending. Spending thousands of dollars and that whole process can be pretty overwhelming. There's a huge fear. Because you're looking at money going out the window you know. Lock the door to contractors. And you're seeing this value which you purchase decrease your breaking things apart. They can be pretty unsettling for people and then with the hopes that when you poured more money into it that you've raised the value past what you have purchased at four so it's a pretty interesting process. If you think about it you gotta decrease in increase of we have two final points. That i wanna hit on before we get to the last and final round i. I want to talk about the order of things in grade algebra. I can't believe i'm remembering back this far. But in ninth grade algebra we call it the order of operations right the the way things needed to go for specific formula. But when you're doing a what is the order of things. Because i imagine that you shouldn't be painting the walls as the very first thing or you shouldn't be ripping up. The carpet is the last thing what i mean what. What in general should be the order of operations. Well i i the whole process for me a second nature. Because i've done this. I've literally done thousands of renovations builds in my life. Salt the order of operations should be typically. You need to work from the inside out so if you are things that need to be done in removing walls or adding electrical l. adding or changing plumbing..

"Elissa the story of australian surfer tyler. Right has so many layers to it but kirch seemed to come to a head at a surf contest called tweet heads in australia back. In september of twenty twenty. What happened there so to set stage a little bit you know. This was the first surf contest since the start of the pandemic olisa roenick's covered surfing and action sports extensively including the past decade of tyler rights. Career i was called tweed pro in australia. The best surfers in the world are there. We hadn't seen them compete in a really long time and tyler also hadn't been in competition in years. The horn blows for heat and her competitors run out of water and tyler standstill. She takes a knee and brush her fist into the air as the cameras. Pull back on the bottom of her sir fort. She'd written in large block. Black letters lock lives matter was literally the night before. I kinda penn soda on my surfboards. To make sure the spacing was ride and old all fit and discuss. I've never done anything like this full. I am not very odd. See your side. You know like very strategically like pencil. Little ab tyler is a white girl from australia. She had largely been known as someone who was very silent and it was a powerful moment.

"You know like you're. Anyway I don't need to repeat it, but well. It's shock jock stuff. It said that's sort of the way it goes. You know in the trying to provoke. You're trying to create a reaction shock. Everybody shock, your co hosts. Sometimes we'd laugh, but at the same time we'd be like what. An that was kind of the Mo behind. Yeah, A- again. That's the intention Steve What's the intention. It's like it's like people calling people racist. Mark Wahlberg. We talked about that last week. Right with this. They went way back in this guy's history. And they found out somewhere where I beat up a Guy Qazis was agent Asian, and he used the N. Word and stuff and all that but. Now it's okay. He got it was a long time ago. He did he did admit it and stuff like that, but as know the intention now. What? What's wrong intention? And I think I. DO think it's was entertainment value. was entertainment value. The problem again Steve is well we. You know. We gotta make some sort statement here about it and. You listen. Steve People. Don't fire guys don't don't fire guys. If, they're doing well. You know they let them get away with stuff as long as things are going well. So unless there's massive pressure, and and you know one hundred fucking sponsorship deals going south. Right yeah. I'm sure that part of it and that's when. Corporations are most likely to act. The comments offended those offended. Reach out to sponsors. Are you going to put up with this? Because we're not going to buy your product anymore? And that's how the pressure is exerted and I'm sure that that was part of this whole decision by NBC. Jeremy Roenick. Let's be honest. He's not an important enough asset to NBC for them to jump in front of any bullets, and so they took easy Roy out because they probably saved five or six accounts on NBC hockey as far as sponsors go by by making this decision and and sacrificial lamb stuff I guess everyone's replaceable. Steve Everybody Oh for sure. If. The comment is heinous enough. Anybody could be fired by NBC. I'd really nice comments Steve when I got when I got like. There was a bunch of people for years for years. I still get beautiful emails from people saying you know shows never the same and all this shit, then I don't listen anymore and all that stuff right and that's all great, but but if that were true, right, there wouldn't be a show right now on that station. There's still his life goes on. fucking went from three guys to to to you. And whoever else over the years still there, that's that's one of the longest running fucking morning shows in the world. Yup Right. They retired the name T. or by the way with me, so they just call it. tsn Mornings now. which was kind of a nice thing but when I was covering the smiths falls bears of the C. C. H. L. Back in the day, and I was like in my early twenties at that stage is thrilled to be in radio, thrilled to be doing regular coverage of a junior hockey team and uneven, doing some traveling with and was great, and the coach of the Smiths falls bears said to me one time because he had to step away for a game or two and stuff. I feel but that and he says you know what because there's a really important family thing that he had to get to. He said this. The graveyards full of people who thought they were replaceable, right? That was such a great line and it certainly a hell of a line. Words live by right it's. Just one of those things where you'll focus on everything you feel like you're an irreplaceable asset. Everything will come to an end. You working life your life period, so make it count, and and again my my whole take on this thing is you know. Give give NBC a break here. Okay? At some point, some judge somewhere has got to say no. They fucked. They hired. You paid you tons of dough. Okay! You're into this fine line, maybe this area, but but I'm not always going to hammer the company. Okay, I see I can see their side here. I can see their side. Okay that that we're taking too much of a chance on you, and that's why we're letting you go fuck. You don't penalize them for all the fucking time. I'd be so pissed. Steve I owned a company and every time the lawyer came in and said you got no chancer. You got no chance. Of someone. Trying to release someone for no compensation, right? You don't have fucking frustrating. That would be right, oh. Okay well, take time out on the show and come back. For the Edmonton Eskimos That name is not apparently and we'll talk a little bit about that and what they might next be called after these words if you're a loyal listener, you've probably heard me on this podcast before. I'm Jay Gerard. Ontario also big fan of the show. If you are to, we'll probably get along..

L. F. that's great in him well the Swedish afterall Krister sin has slammed the ruling social Democrats as a political party of they're saying the government is lost control of the country over huge explosion which rocked stock home a residential or I'm looking at this this is a serious at public carb now did you hear about this on the zombie media no now why is Mr Kristofferson Krister some whatever's name Sir note he noted the rise was you so upset he noted the rise of a number of explosions that would to me I think sounds of the more one and bombings across with that means more the one around the country citing figures from crime prevention council that revealed the cut by the way the crime prevention council should be C. P. C. right crime prevention council CPC it's not because in Sweden they use a Swedish language as Brock B. R. A. so while Brock command came out said it revealed the country I wonder if it's push up bra anyway revealed the country suffered two hundred thirty bombings in two thousand nineteen alone now that's the takeaway have you heard about this remember the day when you would hear a attack over here that would take of seventy two hours sometimes three weeks for the dead to tell you what you already know it's a Muslim yeah and he's been all jacked up on steroids run is the model one these blogs stuff up and is part of a cell but we can't tell you because we don't sound like were racist well it's been happening all over the place and here is Sweden reporting two hundred and thirty bombings in two thousand nineteen do you think those are sweet student Swedes of blonde hair blue eyes are they going to bomb and stuff no no what about the guy that shot all askew that was of such an anomaly the guy that shot it was a two hundred some people of whatever was a camp outside some child care of kids camp or something he was a complete psychotic do people like that do crazy things yes they do of course it is but of the two hundred and thirty bombings how many do you think war is lobbyists if you had to bet what would you Pat I bet turned thirty been two hundred and twenty seven I don't know but I but I would say I would say to her third Anna and I would say that of the two hundred thirty bombings its Islamist that came from sub Saharan Africa Pakistan Afghanistan the came in those caravans if you will yeah the George Soros but paid for remember that this all is this ring a bell unfortunately this government has lost control of what's happening in Sweden now in the morning we woke up again to news of bombs explosions this time in Stockholm's inner city the central Sula whatever that is the Westin sack almost took place on Sunday night was labeled one of the most powerful exposed to cycle by police area manager Eric when strand would stress police said it was pure luck no one was injured in the blast but ruled but ruled out any terrorist motor so far can you see why this is a problem now there's another take away this is strait of terrorism the Swedes don't just wake up and sales blow up a car in the middle the inner city no no they don't do that as a matter of fact this was generally walk run sweaters with blonde hair the to cheese and drink white wine and well all the girls are cute I mean that that and and they're running around blond hair and what's waters drinking white wine eat cheese that they don't do this kind of stuff now this is a lot of stuff and right now in Sweden the reason this is important is because it's time we started telling the truth we do this every day here by the way tell the truth on this radio program yeah I get anywhere else they're not they're not going to get to any place else but this is where we report real live in the trenches real information and right now sweetness under Islamists attack there are cities in Sweden you can not going to all no go zones they haven't Paris them all over the place in Europe it's all come about ever since Hussein Obama started the track of Islam into Europe it was Hussein Obama and it was George Soros and who's in a bomber they did here to the you know what the the R. stopping point if you will on here in America we're not proximate it's to a sweetened England France approximate I have to do is take a short boat ride from a northern Africa which would be idle Libya and you're going to Italy and boom you're in Europe and then what Hey let's keep going to a good swing so what do they do they thought you know we can't destroy America like that here we can get all is on the poster let's let's bring Muslims in and dump them off and say Saint Paul Minnesota St Paul yeah yeah that's it how about was was put seventy thousand on there you know we could do this is a game planning strategy part of the Obama administration and sorrows and all these crimes I religious groups to get paid for doing this per head I know Lester people coming up from Central America yeah that's it we can't we can't do the Islamist thing like we did in Europe but we can still do the third world thing and we can pepper with plenty of Islamists that won't be detected.

"Just put it up for sale in the genome at. Yeah Well that'd be a great moment talk here as we Jump into things here but great sports moments of the last decade. What would be yours before we do that? Steve just talk for a second about College football okay. So there's a couple of bowl games on today. Okay when we record the Rose Bowl sugar bowl is on right now. We're doing this late on Tuesday night and so I- tuned in Stevie. Okay call it. US College football. Steve Steve is boring. It's boring man once you watch the NFL which tightly tuned into as you know the NFL L. College football both those bowl games. They're just I don't know I don't know if I mean college fans are GonNa Freak out when they say that in fact they run the same play all all the time the the the. There's not much I don't know there's not much to exciting offense that they do my wrong there. I can't say that I'm wildly deep in love with college. Football usually watch around this time of year. And certainly I'm going to be there to watch the national championship between Clemson and Lsu. But I can't thank into these bowl games. Just because they mean nothing and that's the bottom line. It's not about the style of play like if I went to one of these schools or had a money on it I think it would be just as entertaining as an NFL game where had no interest in who won one way or the other. But I mean I guess if you look at hockey too right. You'RE GONNA watch junior hockey. Which which which people love and it's not going to be good as NHL? But but I guess you know you're looking at future stars or something but man I just. I watched both games. Watch the Rosebowl and this this brand of football his. It's no good. I don't know anyway. I don't know if there's any other sport like it where you have what are effectively the playoff games citrus bowl rose bowl sugar bowl all happening on New Year's Day but every playoff game usually the winner is off to something else it leads to something else on the flow chart in every case. None of those games meant anything. Yeah I'm the sugar bowl champion and it means a lot of the seniors. It means a lot to the fans of each of those and the students at each of those schools but for everybody else what does that. What does that exactly mean to anybody? So it's I think it's a flawed process from that perspective perspective but I do find the games themselves still pretty exciting. Because everybody's so into it you get the bands in the stands. It's pretty cool that way. Yeah the game. I'm Dave Presentation for sure for sure you know they got. They got thousand people in marching bands. You know it's it's crazy. I've been to a ball logging. I've been live to a college game at Phoenix. I went to and watch. Asu play you know it was. It was great. It was cool to be there. I don't just watch it on TV. I was like okay good. I don't have to worry about college football. Well I think they have it right now at least that they do have kind of a semi final and final championship. CAMPIONSHIPS Games with a true playoff. Not a very long one. But I think I think it's better than it was because in the past east of vote coaches would would vote and whatever your rank. The guy's number one ranked team there. Yeah the champion because we voted you in because you want a football game that was always dumb but was good in the past was that it was so much party or New Year's tradition if it wasn't on New Year's Day the championship game or the game that decided things it would be on the second or the third. You'd like this National Championship Games on January thirteenth. Nothing wrong with that per se I suppose but just from tradition standpoint. I always liked it when things things kind of got wrapped up in and around New Year's Day and it's sort of it's sort of like the player profiles that they do are strictly strictly limited strictly limited to offensive players. You know in college football. It's like this quarterback right here. Okay this just in. But he's he's GonNa maybe make it to the NFL you know. He's been of all pro all college player for whatever Pakistan Guy and this running back here is this guy and and you never like at least an NFL games right the the NFL product is so good the television presentation. You know that you uh-huh got the camera on every single guy at one point at some point right you know you watch an NFL game. I guarantee you. They'll be talking about the old line the D. Line and halfbacks half backs and defensive affect. It's it's good you know there's always something in there but where the guy came from what college and what his contract is or something but college football. It's on it's on two guys. I found anyway. Use the same deal watch for him. was raise up for the HEISMAN. Or whatever did you catch any of that outdoor outdoor. NHL Stuff missed all of it. It's taken on Nashville. Men that ship has sailed for me in terms of The the winter classic. I just okay great it. The Dallas Stars They ended up winning the game. But I'm like watching the thing going. Why are we still doing this? It's like an all star game right. It's cool for whoever's in this whoever's hosting the game but let's be honest I think it's kind of worn edits. Welcome this whole outdoor winter classic thing you know I am dead ass wrong. I've got to admit Because I thought it was brilliant when I went to my first outdoor game and I think it was in Edmonton was the very first one. I think it was called the heritage classic. It was at com. We'll see I remember because I was living in Ottawa but I flew out here. It was Montreal. I remember Josie tater wearing a to go over his schooling mask. Yeah it was freezing cold free like well into into the twenty s minus okay. And 'cause I remember was the only time ever cried without being emotional because I took a bus to the to the stadium from a bar that was right near here with the house hosting and had no hat or coat that well just jump off the bus because I was sitting in a box and but to get to the box ahead to walk around the whole stadium outside and I said I'm going to die. I'M GONNA die. I started crying a little drunk and I started crying. I was holding my years and speaking of Court Jeff cordless brother. I ran into any gave me his hat and he gave me a vest. He's 'cause you're going to die you're GONNA die like the wind. It was like minded twenty but it was like minus forty the wind whistling around the the building but when I saw that game I remember going back on radio saying this. This thing is unbelievable. Achievable this outdoor thing you know. They had even in that cold that stadium. Al Had sixty five or seventy thousand people show up for the game and I said they you gotTa do this man every year and they gotta do it four or five times a year. I said it's just brilliant to do it and I'm dead ASS wrong. I agree with you I agree with you. It's not it doesn't have the panache. Well I wonder what the charm is too because you know. It's one thing to do it in Ottawa. Right or any Canadian market and it's cold in the wintertime. This just in doing this in Dallas like show me what Dallas Stars Fan grew up playing on the on. The outdoor pond or on. The river are an outdoor rink. Like what what charm does it hold for Dallas Stars fans but eighty five thousand piled into the cotton bowl to watch this thing second-largest to attendant. NHL Gel game ever says there's a novelty to it But it still don't know I I it's to me. It's it's done I'm done with it. The Hook originally was University of Michigan Right Michigan did it was the very first university to do it. They played whoever the two big Younis. These were there who I don't Miss Michigan Michigan State when they did that decided to have an outdoor hockey game. There was one hundred and five thousand people or something packed the stadium in the big house. USC Yeah and that was the first time they did it right. And then the NHL Board. That idea. And I remember saying this is the best. This is crazy. All these people and and I agree with you. I don't give a shit I watched it for and I hosted one down in Buffalo. I was part of the production crew did are the it was Pittsburgh and Buffalo. I guess and I was the on Air I was the jumbotron host you know during the game was cool. There's eighty thousand people that was the second second year they did it and it was it was. It was great. But it's done right. Yeah what a what. A what a hassle to do it I you know he probably knows to be tired tired of doing it but I expect so but in a in the they're probably Enrolling in the cash counting their money so They they like it. Just fine it just as a a hockey fan. It's just that ship has sailed for me one of the guys who was not calling the action for NBC For that game Again Dallas wins it. Four to the score Jeremy Roenick and this kind of got lost in our hustle and bustle around. Christmastime happened a couple of days before Christmas. Day and Jeremy Roenick got suspended and it has been suspended indefinitely by NBC for inappropriate comments about Co workers on air. Well it was during it was during a podcast. A A funeral sports podcasts. And chances are you do if you're listening to this one Spitting sicklets is a very popular podcast with Paul Visa. Net and and Ryan Whitney and he made an appearance on that and made some questionable remarks. so He's been suspended without pay. The networks. Got A no comment further at this time. But on the PODCAST Roenick disgust vacation to Portugal. That he had taken with his wife and Catherine Tappan who works with Roenick on NBC. As Patrick Sharp in Anson Carter and he made repeated references to Catherine Tappin and joked okay about the possibility of tapping and his wife and him having sex together. Roenick said they went on vacation together because his wife Tracy and tap and a good friends and when an another resort guests and he's relaying all this on the podcast when another guest at the resort asked about the situation he said I always play it off like we're going to bed together every night. The three of us if it really came to fruition. That would be really good but it's never going to happen even talked about Patrick sharp a little bit. He called Patrick Sharp. So beautiful and said I'd have to think about it. If he asked me I wouldn't say no right away. And so that that was probably the the most dramatic things he had to say the things that got him suspended for his commentary on a podcast. What do you think Before you give your opinion let me give you the full story. Because Catherine Taryn Okay Catharine. Tappin did respond. She released a statement right after a couple of days after it happened. I think she said while Jeremy and I continue to be good friends what he said was unacceptable especially among workplace colleagues. I do not condone don his comments and Yeah that's all I got. And that's what's happened had to say. Yeah Steve I I disagree with her even though she was the subject of it so Roenick could soak in the podcast so but NBC hears it and says okay. We can't characterize ourselves that way right. That's always the statement right. It doesn't look like in any way shape performed perform catherine tap and was the one who initiated like a complaint about it and went to NBC human resources or anything like that. It looks like it's a pretty popular. PODCAST is probably the number one sports podcast in America right now and so it gets out there. NBC finds out and takes action. Yeah I think it's over the top you know oh I think it's you know. Forget the fact that NBC NBC suspensive. Forget that okay I think for a second you know. Let's just talk about what he said. Okay I don't want to argue with whether NBC should suspend them or not that's a totally different pile of stuff that they're dealing with right. They got corporate sponsors. They got a business so I understand even the Don Cherry thing. I disagreed with them doing it but I understand why they have to..

"We are not an athletic group. That is for sure. Yeah. We had Jeremy Roenick in here and he picks up the hockey stick. And I don't know how many goals JR had he probably four hundred seventy five goals, but, you know, it just there's certain guys when they pick up the basketball or golf club, or whatever they've done, all their life, and it just different and he's just pepper in that net. And then make love and try to slapshot are your fingers still like ringing. There's angling I injured my shoulder and my fingers, it was like sad. I did miss the puck altogether day and you're getting were we're going on workman's con-. This new band cave is awesome as we're all getting injured slow, and you guys are all signing. You know, some kind of release form because I can't have you guys get hurt here. Like almost lost Seton this morning, and that's after you almost took me out with a golf club. This place has not been good for me. And I can't watch that video of me losing the golf club behind me, because I nearly took out Seaton's head. I nearly hit you for weeks days. Yeah. Days. Yeah. Okay. Should we have an alternate on each of our respective teams afford? Dan, that's where each squad captains. There's a pretty solid odd that all the unshaved unin shaped guys here, one of them's going to tweak, an ankle or something. Can we have an alternate and we allowed to pick any alternate on earth like that means we have to go recruit rayon lives? An hour from here. You know I mean Amari Stoudamire is an hour and ten minutes for here. Okay. Just saying that if we can, if you can secure then then, yes, you can have them on your own salary can those salary cap not not yet? Yes. Fritzy. Now that's good to know. If you could tap into our context, you bring up Nikko net or something you who are you thinking. I, I was actually going to head towards these Celtics. They have a lot to prove after the way the series with the bucks. We'll maybe get kyri. That would be a very nice show if yes, how do we determine when this alternate goes it, we can have, like, Rodney Dangerfield and Caddyshack? Oh, my arm like for these, I'm the judge. I'm the Commissioner here. Yes. See, it would be awesome. If Kyrie would come all the way in here to plan Todd's three on three team. But not to do an interview. I'd be fine with that. I don't really feel like talking to Dan. I just wanna play hoops with fritzy, I'm good with that. That'd be even better. I don't know what is going to say, you know, here's the new report, I don't know if it's a report, but it just feels like, hey, we need something to talk about how 'bout AD Anthony Davis, LeBron and Kyrie playing for the Lakers. Okay. I guess it's possible you still have to get Anthony Davis. And then you gotta get Kyrie Irving. What are you giving up to get these guys? That's what I'm curious about. I know you added the fourth pick overall, but it's going to take a little bit to get Anthony Davis out of New Orleans. What are you going to, you know, kyri?.

America, Beth Gardner And Los Angeles discussed on All Things Considered

"Is Earth Day tradition begun in nineteen seventy as the environmental movement was gaining momentum. Climate change wasn't yet on the agenda. But pollution was capturing the public's attention. The air quality in American cities from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh to New York City was found to be terrible. And amid all of that an obscure Senate subcommittee began holding hearings about what to do about it. Those hearings eventually led to the Clean Air Act signed into law by Richard Nixon on December thirty first nineteen. Seventy environmental journalist Beth Gardner recalls. This history in a new book. It's called choked life and breath in the age of air pollution. Welcome to the program. Thanks for having me. So you're looked at air pollution and number of countries. But we want to talk about a chapter that discusses the development of the Clean Air Act here in America, and you call this a landmark moment for public health. How come well? The clean air. Air Act of nineteen seventy was really a revolutionary piece of legislation for its time. And I think in retrospect, it really stands as one of the most consequential laws in modern American history. A couple of congressionally commissioned studies since nineteen seventy have found literally that the regulations enacted under the Clean Air Act have saved millions of American lives since that time and trillions of dollars. So that's an extraordinary impact. It's one that sometimes invisible to us. We obviously don't know if we haven't had a heart attack haven't had an asthma attack. Haven't lost a loved one because the air was cleaner than it. Otherwise would have been but nonetheless, the science demonstrating that that's true is very solid. You also call this the start of a new era in America's modern history, in what way well, the Clean Air Act, really changed in many ways, the conception of governments role and gay. Gave to the federal government both the power and the responsibility to protect Americans health one of the most revolutionary pieces of this very innovatively. Designed law was a provision which elevated public health as a priority above all others in the setting of air quality standards for the entire country, it put public health over and above corporate profit and cost in determining what about pollution would be allowed in Americans air, but that hasn't stopped it from being challenged, right? How is it weather those challenges? Well, it's been up and down over the years. And I think what we're seeing right now is a really sort of unprecedented assault on the Clean Air Act to the enforcement of the Clean Air Act by the Trump administration. Obviously, I think we we've become familiar over the last few years with the idea of climate change denial. But I think what we're now seeing in the Trump years is actually air pollution denial. So this the science around air pollution is very strong. And what it tells us is that as levels of pollution in the air co up levels of all sorts of health problems, go up, whether it's heart attacks and strokes or dementia and premature birth and the link between air pollution and ill health is very powerful when it comes to justifying regulation. So if you wanna begin to roll back those regulations pretty effective way to do it is to try to cast out on the science. Can we talk about criticism of the law itself, though? I mean one is that it's applied to broadly. Right. And that as air quality has improved the goalposts have moved and at one of the conservative regulatory experts. You spoke to said, look, this is an example of federal government overreach to those critics have appoint I mean that certainly has been has been the view on on the right and the Republican party and from many quarters. Over this isn't fair, and you keep moving the goalposts one of the problems has been that it's built into the Clean Air Act that it is updated every five years in accordance with the science, and what the science has found in its progress over the decades has been disturbing from a health perspective, and it's also been sort of onerous from a regulatory perspective because those findings are that levels of pollution that years ago were thought to be safe actually are still killing people America's air is much cleaner now than it was back in nineteen seventy but one hundred thousand Americans still die every year from the effects of air pollution. That's a lot of people as you travel the world reporting on air pollution and other countries. Did you gain an appreciation for what the US was able to accomplish with the Clean Air Act traveled around the world. I could see actually in clearer and clearer focus that America's progress since nineteen seventy is a real. Success story. I went to China and officials they are trying to sort of replicate the achievements that we've had here in the United States. And it's you know, I guess sort of Roenick to see the United States undermining its own Clean Air Act enforcement capability as other countries began to try to

Hyaluronic Acid: The Youth Molecule

"You see there's a youth molecule in the human body knitted holds the key the visible signs of age. Now, you've written about this you've traveled to Japan to do the research. So so tell me about it what what exactly is this molecule? You're talking about had. It's amazing that most people don't know this word highly Roenick asset. And of course, it's made. It's all over our body. It's in our skin. It's an all natural molecule, we can get it orally replace it in our body, but more so we've learned that the little bit that we can get as a dietary supplement can trigger your body to make more. And of course, why do we need more? Well, when we're young we're loaded with this stuff when we're babies we have what we call babysat. It's really baby H A it it makes. Well, babies fall down and get cuts and scrapes you notice they never really get any lifelong scars from that. Because they have lots of H A onboard. Hi, Laurent gas and to make this easy to understand for the audience. I think we can all appreciate that women have smoother skin and thicker hair. And so on all of that is because estrogen sends a signal to make more H A. And that's why the girls have more limber, flexible joints. They can get in a kind of a Lotus posture kind of that men can't get into the they certainly have all of those advantages, and it's because the estrogen sends a signal to make more HA now women have more HA to lose than men do and you see the skin shriveling up the joints. And so on as women age, but there's a way to get it back. And of course, purity products for years now has been talking about HA, and they have a new formula just for the joint h a joint. Formula? And it's so important today because I think everyone's confused an article in the New York Times says consumers are confused what to do to support their joints to people are looking for alternatives. We need cushioning in-between the joints, the bones in our joint when a doctor looks at an x Ray all he's doing is measuring the space between the two bones there in the knees. So it's about a quarter of an inch space without that cushioning. You've got bone rubbing on bone. That's what H A is. It's the jello or the cushioning agent. Inbetween our bones. We lose it either due to wear and tear or age. And so we start getting problems the more that we find pain relief. The more pain relievers, we use the more we're going to use these joints. And then we're gonna wear out more bone. And they've noticed this people who chronically us pain relievers are going to have more bone wear. So what you need is the actual cushioning back there to lubricate the joint and. That's what HA does. That's what HA is. But doctors call it synovium fluid. They actually inject this into joints orthopedics, do dermatologists injected into the skin eye doctors use it as a lubricant during is surgery. So it's nothing foreign to modern medicine, but it may be new to you as a listener there. And you have never heard about HA before. Well, you need to learn about it. It's a wonderful molecule, it's all natural, and you can get as a dietary supplement purity products was the first to introduce it. Now, it's a great big long molecule, Pat that six million daltons in molecular weight, think of six million paperclips put together it's big you can't absorb it in purity found a way to knock it down. So that it's only about fifteen hundred to three thousand that means that you can absorb this orally. We actually prove that in studies conducted at a laboratory right there in Florida, and we're gonna tell you more about that. But we've proved that it's orally absorbed. Most doctors are told that oral HA cannot be absorbed. That's true. If it's the regular HA. It's gotta be knocked down in molecular weight and more important it needs some other anti-oxidants to be added with it. We're gonna talk about one here in just a moment. But purity products is introducing this all new joint formula for people that are searching for alternatives or their joint health. And of course, this isn't a drug it's a dietary supplement meant to of course, support healthy joint health as as
