Being able to take lunch, blood sugar readings or two and do stuff like that. But unfortunately, there has been some experimentation that way, but there's no way to do it. But with blood oxygen, they found ways around it that again. They're not taking obviously not taking a blood draw, which is the most most efficient way of doing it. But it's good enough and the science is solid enough. For the purposes of this fitness, But you can tell you particularly when you're exercising. Yes. I mean it goes Matlock already this add this to it and it I mean they're like lines out the door so whether or not you agree with that that's a good appropriate response just know that back in becoming another thing just you know establish where you're gonna get your information now make sure you know who to turn to who to trust where you're finding the right information there's a lot of misinformation out there and there's a lot of hysteria on social media you go on Facebook and try to rely on but you know your neighbor your cousin or telling you it's it's just not going to be helpful it's another home here at the central and there are ways to protect yourself and put yourself in the lowest category as this moves forward so start thinking about those now if you don't need them great bye this is a reminder that you really need to put those things in place and that's why I want to bring it on said thanks so much for joining us that land from king five she'll have a good one okay thank you I'm gonna keep us posted yeah I think a lot of people roll their eyes right now but it happens really quickly Ted said a couple days ago and people are taking this seriously and now no one's going to work and there's lines at Costco but more of this coming up in a bid including the lighter side of crossfire's we got some really some funny stir some levity to the.

C. a sentence of to WGN and still nothing has been reported I go up to the the precinct a chair and I said what's going on here I'm hearing that nothing's been reported she says we've been on the phone for forty minutes trying to tally up send didn't record our armored tabulate results the results and we've been on hold and she said that the app didn't work you didn't work even before we started we tested it didn't work so they said the backup is just call it in well when you've got seventeen hundred precincts calling it at the same time right apparently not enough people the they have or the program at the computer program did not work so I was literally sitting there till eleven o'clock with the precincts secretaries just me and her in this empty room and wait hold on hold with her speaker on I was of course on live radio at the time for ABC and the janitor came bad you guys got to leave okay all right then sorry it's to your union roles we got to go at a let's let's let's talk a little bit about the response of these people had though like a year you're talking to these caucus organizer's essentially right this is the person who was supposed to the caucus secretaries was called Ali how frustrated wishy by this whole deal super frustrated I she was mad she's I I think I can I talk to you about this can I can I interview you she said absolutely let me finish my sandwich though I've super angry right now that you came back and she was a little more Coleman reserve but because she ran a pretty pretty good **** yes I mean everything what whether a couple people here there that had some gripes a complaint so there was a spoiled ballot or two because someone wrote on page two before it was their time to do so but beyond that everything went fine and so it was just the call and that was the problem all right so now still confused and they've gotten up to what seventy one percent I got it there it's seventy five seventy five all right so they went they give a sixty two yesterday yes it's all in one jump yes sixty two percent this is like my medical tests then then went up to seventy one percent after as a close to twelve hours ten hours and then they were then they're only gives another four percent after another twelve hours I mean at this point are we ever going to find out what could possibly go with one of the things we were talking to one of the dudes yesterday who said well with one of the problems was that the caucus sectors all went home and some of them don't do just gave up on reporting now we have to track them down yeah I mean how idiotic his then well I did I was with the caucus secretary and challenge they sent her home and so she's like I'm just going to stay on hold until someone answers may so I don't know how that all lands how that all I did was hit one point get this at one point she was on Verizon service at a time doubt you wouldn't let her stay on hold it knocked her out she to call back in to get back in the queue is actually lost her place in line which freaked her out there was a great moment on Monday night on TV and it was CNN service where there's a he's on he's he's on the folders on the phone with a Cocker secretary who's on hold yes and all of a sudden you hear the person answer the phone like all right I'll I'll talk to you tell us what the results are and then the then the guy will still risk sounding he's like a wolf hold on they've just picks me up so hold on and it goes over to get the two to talk to the person at headquarters yes and it hung up on I'm gonna have to get back on those all rights reserved yeoman's work thank you ma'am no no problems all right yeah Bryan Burrough Ford WGN radio ABC news that it fighting the good fight in Iowa trying to get the story for us now let's check in with Lauren lapkus fight the good fight the traffic.

"Starship roe Conn show off another day broadcast excellence and it's going to be mad that's all I can say because they kill things get me when stupid things happen in people in charge do really stupid things and I which causes once again stupid things to happen and the last of us call late nineteen hours has really been a trait in America you went home last night and you were they get in I I mentor on TV and see what happened and they could see our heading now into the really this is the beginning of the twenty twenty presidential campaign everything happens in the year before a presidential campaign I think most people don't pay attention to but right about now people like okay well I know they're out there they got there were too many Democrats there were too many Republicans last time right in twenty sixteen so it's hard to keep accountant who is that and what to give that at times tire doesn't look like he does his commercials you know there's all kinds of things that that might happen when you look at and now it's winnowing itself down at least we thought I'm tell this phase seed stadium I was screwed everything up for us I mean I'm not a Democrat I just about Americans it's like you can eight the whole idea here L. of Iowa and we're gonna talk to coming up in just a little bit the former chairman of the Polk County Iowa Democratic Party which is you know the the biggest one in Iowa and it's a big it's a it's the guy who it would have been very much making the decisions about this word is four years ago is he you know the whole idea here is you know that all these politicians they call it off however they go for like you know year year and a half there will be people there are some people who gonna start thinking about running for president they go to Iowa two years out they do an Iowa straw poll in twenty twenty two where they're they're like oh Hey you I wonder who's going to come over to our state and bring all of their staff and hire all of our kids in and eat all of our fried pork snickers that's the thing you know no yeah it is yeah yeah the I was stating barely got sick tell things and I'm like what okay and then they have to do this thing where it's like you call and you get to go to it the they literally there's a percent Jeff to get to like thirty five percent of the Iowa population in your party whatever it happens to be and I'm gonna guess is probably more Republicans and Democrats in Iowa but you know whatever that number is eight steps tens of thousands of people that these politicians all have to shake the hands of the touch of that did like stand to get a selfie with him yup Penniman had whatever it is you have to do that's what they do and if you don't do that is that what you're never going to win Iowa because everybody wants to see you in the and if you don't see them yet to see at least one person from the family and the because the baby and do all that and then we're all going to go to a room in February and wrong and stand in the corner and decide who were gonna wanna hail as the next president or the next nominee for our party so that's what we're gonna do I know like what in that yeah it's it is so antiquated it is this is this is before they had to the at the wheel base we were barely on horses when he came over this idea and now it is the twenty first century you know you can have a vote you do what everybody else does you just don't campaign in the state run TV commercials and show up in and press the flesh like all these other politicians to go to a diner and I got plenty of diners and one we were that Kevin was there with us last time in the in twenty sixteen this is a lot of pork fried stuff in beer now they just don't stand there I remember walking into some coffee shop the morning of the caucus last year and there's ricksantorum standing there and it wasn't as a running training but Rick Santorum won the Iowa caucus years ago but it took him two weeks to be able to clear in the winter because they were screwed up that this couldn't be dumber All I Want to say about this but the question now is what happened and the democratic and and and one of the other things I have noticed is that the chairman of the Democratic Party of temperance got to be found he's like he's at he's right now he's is I'm some super secret mission in Brazil or somewhere I mean is is he wants out of this whole thing and the president taking a victory lap like it didn't have to do anything you know the president didn't really I mean it's been working hard defending himself in the impeachment thing right by don't stop and in doing this and that yeah I mean you do you found all they know what's going on there he they have this one just fell into his lap right I mean it's so embarrassing is so disastrous and it is so we'll find out exactly what happened but first name brand is going to join his room to bring back your local on the other side of this break because you just heard this in the news that there's a federal lawsuit now to try to stop the city from using facial recognition to try to tamp down crime find out what that's all about the first one that can.

"Roe Conn show up another day broadcast in for the week and wow there's a lot going on we're talk to Ben Bradlee coming up here in a few minutes he was on the broke the story that the helicopter that crashed in California killing Kobe Bryant is daughter and seven others on board was once owned by rubble Gleditsch thank you Ben Stiller high but as the V. I. P. but as they call it transportation for the governor so it is it's just said of a bitter irony to all of this so we'll talk about that and also the investigation what goes on from there Ali Meyer are she is our work Washington correspondent and she can talk about what's happening in DC today cattle held the defense presents defenses up is it his lawyers are defending him and also interesting Victoria tensing who's one of his attorneys has been up defending Rudy Giuliani calling America's Merrin and he was not at that he was at it an American hero before he started supporting the president so we'll find out what that was all about and this all come in this house and governor Pritzker has announced that he sees no reason to pause the program that according to the secretary of state's office accidentally registered non citizens to vote you know I don't which was in fact the then knock on the whole motor voter thing like when you go when you register to get her to to re up your driver's license or you try to get your first driver's license automatically registered to you to vote at though the location of the address that your license send you and this motor voter had been a big political football for years and Republicans are saying listen this is going to be a way to make it easier for people who who shouldn't be able to vote with your the bed yeah non citizens to be able to vote and Democrats all no no no no no it's just to make it easier for people don't don't you want people to vote did you want people to be able to exercise their franchise as Americans and then the next thing you know this is what this is what happened actually mixing nobody with that happened in surprisingly it relatively shorter so this is as to the governor's stepping into something right there to say Hey I know it's gonna be just fine they fix the problem so I think there's more to be learned about that at all come to life plus will be later on mark McKinnon from the circus on show time is going to talk about what happened Washington also in Iowa and we've got to chime cast to talk a little bit later on about the swear off you heard in the news between Megan fox and that Conway kid the young challenger but is it is it gonna say did you say make a box it while Kim five you know I'm so caught in the Grammys I just I don't even know what to do can she sing I don't know but you do others it's in a celebrity Kim fox Megan fox is not running for against although I bet you some right now she went if she racked that's how I feel about that so we'll talk a little bit about that that's the jackass was in that meeting today that that Tribune editorial board meeting where the two and a half for each other so we'll we'll discuss all of that all right okay and medical doctors are here to tell you but whether Wuhan is going to kill you or seasonal depression is bad for it we we know is bad for you but what can you do about it because January turns out a lot of medical experts are seeing more and more and more cases of.

"Since the roe Conn show Richard Roeper is here we were just review in some movies or he was just reviewing some of it because that's what he does is a a movie reviewer of great renown you can read in the Chicago sun times there's a gigantic gigantic size of a building Billboard on Hollywood Boulevard right now they're just quoting him about the Irishman affect although I'm taking credit right now because you and I have watched a podcast I'm it at you the sun times as lunch but I guess featuring you and me correct that talking about the best movies of the decade that one is already up in that and and got a going concern and ends wildly successful and we were very happy about that the next season of this just launched today and we're doing the Oscar movies did the whole podcast series called the best movie countdown to gold I was the one thing quickly about that seven story Billboard rough contact them I think they should have quotes from me all year round and not only just about movies but like like today I was thinking like why does the Scotch tape dispenser it's always hard to get that thing separate none of the tape gets back out you can't get the tape up yeah why is it my isn't gotten any better yeah the I. with right I would rather that they just caught the podcast quite a great asset the best movies starring comments though all right Hey the couple of things are happening here if you want to if people want to download that podcast go this guy was at times a spot apparently just look up at the right time and you will find that podcast and we did just launch the our diagnosis of best supporting actress best Supporting Actor yes right and they'll be Best Actor Best Actress yes Best Picture and your cheat sheet this is the most important thing you can do because right now gambling on the Oscars is legal in Indiana in this case you know for for years when we would talk about the Oscar ballot and filling out your picks for the twenty four categories that are televised it was to win the you know the company pool or the thing you do with your friends now you can actually back on the Academy Awards in certain states including Indiana just approved it where you can either go to a casino or if because they have mobile apps now right the mobile apps people know if you live in northwest Indiana when you cross the line and you hit Illinois they no longer work they know that you're not in India and anymore it's like I can but I can't I can't jump or the state lines are like I could smoke pot and get arrested depending on what state you're in the last year the Jersey was had passed legislation saying we're gonna have Oscar odds they posted and within twenty four hours they took him down because there was some concern people know in advance because the body will close a certain time I really don't but there was a little bit of concern about that now they're like no we feel secure about the C. combat on the main cat gore is I will say this road I would caution people first of all the maximum you can bet on any categories a thousand dollars they don't because they don't want summer going in there thank you for warning yes yeah I'm letting you know now if you want to have friends going there at the end of course even even in the big casinos in the big sports books in Vegas they can limit your action if they want all the other usually happy to take someone to put two hundred thousand dollars on the forty Niners against the the two chief they'll take that back in this case you know walking Phoenix for example is a prohibitive favorite right I do win for Best Actor one to twenty I believe are the odds right now in other words you for every you you have to put down twenty dollars to win a dollar right so that he's him right now and he's going to win a no would you know Dave Feldman the late great does sports handicapper of horseback horse racing handicappers they want when a horse was like one to ten he would bet on it if it was a big very because because of someone said Hey you want ten percent interest on your money in in three minutes or two minutes would just take it yeah yes the walking walking pretty million dollars when fifty grand they're not gonna let you do that and be warned these hard I'm calling the locks but you could ever now at that point that's true we'll get it we'll we'll do the mall coming up here in just a second the the interesting twist in all of this is that this year we have a really good indication because in the acting categories specifically because the Screen Actors Guild awards it's it's all it's become a really solid predictor well it's gonna have as actors were voting for actors and that's what happens in the academy as well is it in the academy the specialties vote for the specialties except for Best Picture everybody knows well for that for when you get to Best Actor in the Academy Awards everybody in the academy is voting at that point the nominations are done actor for actor so the seven thousand members of the academy all do you get to vote for like Best Actor and Best Actress as well that's according to invest aboard but the acting branches about twenty percent of the academy so it's sort of like the Iowa primary or the caucuses if you got a certain base there you're going to be favored so right now it seems like a lock that Renee Zellweger and Joaquin Phoenix and Brad Pitt and Laura Dern are gonna win that's why they're all heavy favorites in these real life betting scenarios you're gonna have to put up anywhere from ten to twenty dollars to win a block yeah I it on the very same gambler myself this is our shame did the especially in the course racing world I have actually bet on every horse in a race I have a ticket every large number in a race and I'd still lost wow did you know that I will there's a way to do it right what is yes there is I didn't I didn't do a win on every because there's a lot or some sort of paradise or nami years I used his I was checking the bad up and I had every every number in the race it like a seven seven horse race and I somehow still lost so I will go through the odds with you coming up here in just a moment and as you pointed out the proper the Best Actor and actress is not going to going to pan out but if people want to vote for Best Director that's an interesting race best film Best Picture is an interesting race we'll do all of that coming up but first one that could tells us the last time this afternoon it was having on the Roseanne's guys was gonna be a snowy and rainy night could.

"Roe Conn showed doctor Willie Wilson is joining us on the super celebrity hotline from parts unknown and I liked it with we love having you in studio we love having you here but I know we had a bit of a scheduling snafu today so I would like to know this because you are working on a state piece of legislation for reparations for the descendants of slaves now yeah why my question is we should not be a national thing that a state thing well a row listen good but I did talk to him but listed is a national danger did you would be a little bit about it passed this year to Congress by Brian Bradley will get to set all right and so if we can you imagine we discussed organized state by state okay we gotta get some and and get it done now right away so you were going to help me with the means has his so what you're what you would need then be trying to do is your state by state to try to have a an amendment to the constitution I mean what we need to states to do well only when it when it is it is it represents of descendants played me and this year they did me in that look we gotta find a way he then turns out the contracting job and equal opportunity here that represent the tax act people even had to pay and I'll get anything in return thanks summit date that could be creating called violent you know and people going to jail to miss me and I'm about to exact privatized prison system now that would need to be and got to be stopped and so what happened is that if you wait seven national get done we need to try to be working on interstate Chicago guy hi Valerie then a lot of places around the United States and that we need to try to find ways to stop it is some kind of what you know right but all right so you would say preferred dig it turns a contract to somebody that like a not just to women and minority owned business but it on top of that a business that would be owned by descendants of of former slaves would get priority over the other women and minority owned business kind of contract let's you know it it it it it it to try to stop so you had to really understand what we come up from here I really and did you plan a day like that dissenters late and got on at the end is to I am a victim of sharecropping as late now wait a thirteen year down south and didn't get paid when you're when I was kid my plan by parents and things like that didn't get paid and and and says it didn't get paid I will lose their poise and glass yeah I got a chance to make it work hot and so did Dan really like personal but me because of the fact that there are people that didn't get they put a workday dined tartan corn sugar and everything else and so what happened is that they don't have attention welfare are they only is some already died and and those type of things that and if so what I try to do is that we we give away a you know a lot of money into the community you know what I need to send this back up a little bit because Willie Wilson you remember he ran for mayor he ran for president I see is on point ran for governor the there is but but your your store your life story is one of the most inspirational American stories one can hear which is like you just point out you grow up at the end a sharecropper family you worked in a sickly as a slave when you're a little kid you're able to get out of that was in Florida you're able to get out yeah ended up working at McDonald's you ended up then owning a McDonald's you then ended up owning multiple make downs you became a multi multi multi millionaires result of that then you sold that you went into another business which make you even more multi millions of dollars so I mean you're you're an amazing story that we always talk about you know that that is an American dream story that that the people help for themselves but I don't know but I what I don't understand is what the economics of year I get that in your business got you'll know numbers I don't understand what the what ultimately the economics are going to be here or how this actually gets applied fairly so that if in fact people have been disadvantaged those those who have been absent in fact those who have been disadvantaged by being the children of slaves are the descendants of slaves Winchell we're trying to all that yeah I mean how what what what's the math there how many people who gets paid what I get paid I don't understand what you really put it to you this way the state of Illinois it does about seven to eight eight billion dollars was a contracted services stated I don't know I represent fourteen percent of African American it's a descendant of play not everybody has to send this late but you know there there isn't up like that kit yeah date eleven and one half of percent back into the community that Karadzic ghetto and call people to to robin day then they get put in jail and economically speaking yeah right this deal was saying Hey look wait a minute we fourteen percent of the state will play in textiles and then when I get enough back so so it created now prime within our community so my economic prosperity away we have our citizens school closed its example in Chicago we are while I don't know how many miles to get to school so we don't have that we don't have technology that fuse clue that it let out all right right when I had it we don't have three things like that to take that we can get a job so that generation in a generator to it already thank all right at American descent of slate right right so we have time we don't want them so if you can take and signed a minor sanctuary cities which by the way I think it twenty sixteen and twenty sixteen that was set to seven billion dollars I can you can you hold on one thing for me because I get it he'd take quick time out here my relate to this but I want to I want to come back I just wanted to hold at all okay it's doctor Willie Wilson right there we'll be back with him just on the first floor in laughter we'll try to explain what's happening on the roads and in.

"It's the roe Conn show live from the United center like him lack a club over here as you know what just happened after that we were going to I don't know if you were hearing things are we yes we're forget and you could tell the were the United center in these first opening hours of the because there's always you and I have a three o'clock hour you'll hear a large items being wheeled Dolly across the floor in front of us there always seems to be the cart that might be slightly broken because it's like it's just a little bit louder than you would assume the one I was the one I always get a visual there's nothing I can do about it and we'll write pushing you to the left right or just or it's got the wheel it just vibrates fifty chittering the entire time it's got the Parkinson's we'll it's bad two seven I know but it's about and that's my that's my Greek internet this broadcast United center Blackhawks against the you know this is for the home opener that is not accurate I don't think but I believe that the sponsors are the same right to buy that go fifteen minutes could save you fifty percent or more on car insurance about that I've heard that sometimes they do it nice yeah we got they've now there do they have a new and they have a new tagline they do yeah for the trying to get the the gecko to to understand the tagline I don't you know I think it's so funny why do we have to the gecko when we still have the the funniest commercials on television from them why do we have to I don't know they do produce some great once back to the one with the the the traffic guy that's like a body builder is like go to the left they're all good I mean this is what is one of the things I mean if people say well you know highly creative people said they did yeah sent to general but there are a lot of critics of commercial commercial critics who say that the funny or the commercial the less effective it is because you're watching a commercial in a lot of people just remember the commercial they don't remember the brand right you want something that's a little bit more now showing you the thing that's why those direct response commercials you know did you see I'm deep cable they work so well you know when they're they they keep showing you something what a guy because god they're doing the whole sequel thing where they're bringing back all the great commercials and I can be right there out the year all that's awesome yes that's excited for that yes now I will say that we like to think that I know I would I'm I'm I'm dribbling the ball here a little bit just to make sure that we have the right sponsor being mentioned we do okay thank you for the press Jesse to newer is going to join us from from Washington coming up in just a few minutes about what's what is happening in Washington I gotta tell you I was watching and listening to some of this today and I I have to say that it was so annoying yeah I can't even stand to listen to the whole thing happening I hear one second like mute because and it's it is another city yeah yes there's a question but the other piece of this it's amazing is it's like they're all on the same trip Democrats and once you're privileged another script and then no one's giving any kind of quarter nobody actually and that that has any sort of emotion about what they're what they're doing here it's almost a divorce proceeding you know it but I feel fine and it's and it is really hard really really hard to listen to and I and I I'm I'm just I'm comfortable with the whole thing now so exhausted yeah I mean I don't they we know what the outcome is going to be and we know what both sides are gonna say and this is just another part of the above political experience can you know this is going to be a political issue and probably not for the entire political year but I'd say for the spring well it's like watching a sporting event you have the answer the final score exactly what where it's going yeah but with guys in suits yelling getting yes and you can always tell which is which you know you can you don't have to know you don't actually when they say and we recognize by general from Georgia you know where that's going right and then and then the with with the gentle lady from New Jersey okay I know where that's going and it's and then and then it sort of you you got like it in the cell there was one guy earlier today sell it just like Gilbert Godfrey what yes really and I thought now if I'm the Democrats I don't have that guy doing the thing what a Dick we see you like this I don't think that's helping I really don't I would just start laughing that is a funny joke yeah choose your you know I would I would have I put your best people up for this not a great selection yeah now I know that we Republicans are doing that where they send they did they did they basically you keep throwing the ball to you know one of the one of their more highly rated if you will congressman to anyway it's just it's it's too much that's all I wanted to hear it's too much I cannot wait for this to be over Edward this today fine and then we got a couple of weeks we don't worry about it you think about Christmas and I have a I actually have a guide to talking politics at Christmas dinner I need to just been put out so how did it differ how to how to basically just defuse I think everybody can use that yeah so we will do that all right we're right now is taking to learn that goes having.
