"roddy piper" Discussed on The Bill Simmons Podcast

"Time in the company, really since like the mid 90s. Right? Like the 94 95 range. Right. And you have competition. So if you had a 94 and 95, it's a weird time. I'm not going to lie. It's a weird time. I think last summer they were on fire, Cena comes back against rains, SummerSlam Allegiant Stadium. It felt like they were coming out of the pandemic. They had the full crowds and all this stuff. But you know, as you know in combat sports and pro wrestling and boxing and MMA, it's all cyclical, right? So in 8 months from now we could be like, it's a summer when they were done. And now they're on fire because they got The Rock coming back at WrestleMania. It's all cyclical. It always comes back, and I'm sure it will, in this case, but the reason it reminds me of the mid 90s a little bit is the dip and talent combined with a real competitor. And I thought on that cheap hit show, I thought they made a good point about AW is also at a weird point where they have emphasized the wrestling so hard. And the quality of the match is really at the expense of storytelling. And they're basically just trying to, you know, have the best matches, which is great. But at some point, if you want to get bigger than that, you have to figure out how to weave in the better storytelling, except for MDF, MJF. Spectacular. Rowdy Roddy Piper reincarnated, but for the most part, I don't think the storytelling has really been there with them. I don't think they're that interesting. The matches are great though. It's a little too indie and also they sign 9 people every show. Every show, it's like, oh, here's the XWB guy coming out, and then the next segment is another. And then another. So I just feel like they've lost some of that sort of touch that they had. But still, I'm very happy that there's another outlet for these guys and gals to make more money for sure. By the way, that's what killed WCW. They hit the secret sauce. They had it. They had the recipe they had the right mix of guys. And then they just kept adding and adding and adding, and at some point, they had too many guys that last controlled narrative. All right, we're.

"You paint me a daily pop? Comes out the first week of pride. Still ahead, Kelly and snoop are breaking it down. We love you, Thomas. Roddy Roddy Piper goes off the top rope. And that's another exhibit for HR. You see this? You see this. I do. Look at this. And one time. We can not know what the hell is going on. I know. This is not Good Morning America. Look, this wait, tell me you were allowed to keep here without telling me your last key kid. All I did was watched WWE grew up. That's all I did. That's all I ever did. By the way, I heard and I heard Gary, you know, shady ass Gary, the Sagittarius, was like, oh, that's a big thigh. Look right here. I'm surprised you're past it split. I would have thought. Okay? She's gonna turn it up. Kelly Clarkson and Snoop Dogg just kicked off the search for America's best original song. On their new show, American song contest. They shared their favorites and even gave us a little juice. You don't know what to expect when you got a show that's about songwriters and, you know, undiscovered talent, and then at the same time, these songs you never heard before. So the feeling felt good, it felt good to me that audience as well. So what it's all about. All right, we all got lunch. She makes my job easy. What do you mean? Her me too. He's sitting here dancing. Y'all miss. There's a whole separate show that no one's watching and it's snoop watching this show. Houston was one of my favorites. But I will say all of them were very cool. They were very different. I like fire. Michael bowden is cheating. That song he did was too good. I wanted to cry. I broke the scene, we were supposed to be, I had some lines, but I stopped my lines to go run until Michael bowden, how much I loved him. I said, Michael boughton. You did. Can you please say hi to me? I love you. I was nervous. I was never seeing the varied types and styles and genres. I don't think anything is a shoe in or a done deal. Wait, and Kelly's pretty much anything she's seeing sounds like perfection to me, and she just always steps up to the mic and just destroys it. I will give you some gin and juice. I'm gonna do that on my show, I think. That's what I'm gonna do. That's what I do. With my mind on my money and my money on my mind. Hey, you know what? This was so good. I watched it last night, it's very energetic. You love the songs. You love snoop and Kelly together. They just make a great, great team. It's a really good show and it's fun show. And we need that right now. We need positivity.

I don't know what date that would make it but You know a long time. Since i've worked against him and then his career took off. You know he was just Internationally known he piper's pit on the wwf and And then if you imdb him you see all of these of things that he he did. Movies were john tv programs. I mean here's a cult. Following in that movie they live and so they were telling me all of the people that were going to be in the movie mash saying. Of course i was. I was just thrilled with the diane carol dying. Carol had the very first Program for an african american woman And a had some great canadian actors there who are really really well known. But then i shaw. Who's gonna play the promoter that it was. You know rowdy. Roddy piper. I just i was just so surreal. Because he was always One of my heroes. Roddy piper loved his family. If you ever youtube him and see any of his matches you'll notice that he has his wedding ring on a never took his wedding ring off because he loved his wife and he loved his family. And so you know Having the opportunity to see your book made into a movie and it was an award-winning movie. It it won a best picture to south fifteen international christian film festival and so That's something that's gonna live on after me. I mean when. I'm grow when i have graduated to heaven Let the movie still gonna be around. Yeah that's kind of neat. Yeah absolutely yeah. That's that's a lot to be proud of. And and it's i think again a good lesson for us all is that you know you're never too old near never too young to go for your dreams. You know i'm critical of people and russell. Westbrook came out and he went to the met gala last night and he put that picture of himself in new york city wearing a skirt along white skirt. And so you know me really well you would expect me to say it's a soft move and this and that we support the skirt. I rock with this skirt. Looks pretty good. Then i get older. I just care about being comfortable scourged comfortable little man kill lululemon needs to call the man killed every day. I support the skirt. What do you think about russell. Roddy roddy piper pipers is so underrated so classic one of my favorite restless a great entertainer. Here's what i think about men dressing up like women and or wearing skirts. Don't give it's an acquired taste. That's what i think is not something i'm going to do is not my cup of tea but i'm not necessarily upset when people do things that i wouldn't necessarily do i would i would. I wouldn't put those stars in my head that he had his head of care about my haircut kind of care about my haircut. I wouldn't do that well you miguel. But here's what i do know times you do they. Three j. lynn's got picked ula great drafting this year. Great this year thank you. I appreciate that. And so it's really the stage. And if i was going to go to the met gala is to decisions. Do i have to make 'em all wearing something that makes me suited in boot. It and i'm glad that people starting to say that now know that's a detroit thing for everybody picking up when i'm putting down by the way and the other thing is. Am i going to wear a costume and certain athletes for example. I cam newton was wearing costumes. Russell westbrook thus he's wearing costumes like he wore that for affect you know what i mean is so based on that. I always pushed the votes with passion entertainment. You see the renaissance man doing it every week so i can't be mad at it. Next year i'll be gala called nine eight five eight zero jalen until me suited and booted or costume. I'll zita next year. You're going to be a dip set versus locks the same way you were not invited not to show up and be like guys do when you are the one so let let me teach you guys a secret in life trotta all all of the things. The president of the Washington football team specifically mentioned Warriors, saying it's too closely aligned with Native American themes. Still even getting nearer. So now having anything to do with native Americans as bad, apparently, is that what they're warriors, I guess. When he came out of college? He was picked by the Saints to come and play for, Um, and then he didn't Because he couldn't pass the physical. I don't know what kind of physicals they were given back in the seventies, but this guy became a, uh, Star rest. He couldn't pass the physical for the Saints. And they passed on him. And then the Kansas City Chiefs took a run at him that he couldn't make that team either. May I offer he turned to wrestling? May I offer a theory? If you're physically fit person who played college football, right? But then the NFL says you don't pass the physical, so you end up in pro wrestling. Is it possible? What they really mean is he didn't pass a drug test could be because, you know, Yeah, dude was ripped right? Clearly not not like a puny man by any means, because I am pro wrestling. "Back in the show bryan alvarez here wrestling observer alive mike semper also wrestling observer dot com very happy to be joined after ten months now by colt cabana cold. You doing today ten. Not we had our little observer. Baby didn't we. We did have our little observer baby and you now calls are having a new baby. I guess wrestling anonymous is your new baby. And you're actually you're actually gifting your old baby to the world. Is that right. yes i've get. I've given birth of giving birth the wrestling anonymous and i've put up for adoption the art of wrestling. I don yes. I started a new podcast wrestling anonymous. Where i take Voice memos essentially. Google voice memos from the fans. And they tell me their stories. All different stories has been so fun so far to running for about five weeks and the cool thing is is like i get him. I added him. I pr- i post produced them. I put it all together. And essentially i don't necessarily the host but i'm the curator of these amazing calls in the calls of their calls from all over but they're fun for the most part you know there was a guy who hukou basically took his one year old child and started stretching him. Yeah he started like moving him around and stretching. I'm like a little baby and he was like one day. You're going to trade with me little kid in the and the guy was just like i don't know what's going on in tacoma. He could do whatever stretching him like when you wake up in the morning and you stretch stu was doing not i got it. I got it And then there's calls There was one call who a wrestling fan watched someone die in the stands That was wild a call. The other week talked about their experiences being there with owen hart when he passed away kansas city and they're all over the place and it's really fun. It's really fun to do so far. Well you know we've got here cochabamba. I have inside sources in the wrestling business. You may or may not know. And i have been given a clip of one of your shows. The would you like to hear it please. Of course l. Let's check it out. Father my father now me got interesting. I got interesting in the early eighties and my kids. I have kids and my son likes watching it with me. And my dad always told me the story of my grandfather when my grandfather would go to a local arena and He tells the story about my grandfather and my grandfather's friends. They burned freddie blassie's car and we're gonna my dad. I guess there's a free blast documentary where he talked about that specifically happening in southern california to guess my grandpa who's laughing his mid nineties. He'll he'll laugh. And i don't know what you're talking about like backing murdered somebody you know and it makes funny cold. I got. I got to say this year about that clip and what you were talking about earlier. So is kind of a weird segue but earlier. Talk about del wilkes who passed away. And he did these interviews talking about how he took one hundred and fifty pain pills and i was talking about. How if a normal person. here's this they just. It's impossible to them. But if you know any wrestlers there may be a slight exaggeration but like these guys. They took hundreds of pain pills a day and your call. You just had right there. That's one of those deals. Where when you hear stories from wrestlers you hear oh in my day. We had so much heat guy. Burn my car. And you're like you know. Maybe fans were man slice tires but i mean come on bernie car then you find out that in fact this actually happened and this guy was an accomplice to car burning here. Yeah i like this call because we always here for the people. We hear from bobby heenan who got shot or roddy piper. Who got stabbed. But we never hear the people who do the stabbing or do the shooting or throw the the puerto rico So was interesting to hear from their perspective. That's why i like to call it. Put it on the show. How did you come up with this idea because obviously rest of fans love to hear these stories about wrestlers especially behind the scenes stuff that goes on and travel stories and things like that. How did you decide to flip the script and actually hear from some of these fans that are are quite unique can have lived Several lives inside of one. Some of them for years for years fans wanted to be on my art of wrestling podcast and the art of wrestling was just me in the locker room talking to different wrestlers and i feel that people were so they got so into the show that they felt that their stories needed to be heard also and it just something. I wasn't allowed. I i just wasn't what my show was at the time. And it's something that i've always wanted to do is give the wrestling fan of platform. And then there's so many other. Inspirations whether it's a podcast called love and radio which had hotline show Whether it's a beautiful stories from anonymous people from my friend chris. Whether it's college just like this with brian. And mike you know like i've always loved the call in show the idea of it and there's so many other things but it's something that i've i've wanted to get back into the weekly podcast game and it took me a while. Yard took a lot out of me. I did it for almost ten years. Five hundred episodes and this is something new and fresh and ready to jump back in. And i'm having such a great time and sort of the fans really cool. Well have you. Fallen show is a. It's a great idea but then there's always there's execution so what you have done is actually wise because you can basically go through and listen to everything. I i would presume that if someone has a great story. But they like babylon for one thousand nine minutes. You can shop the thing upright and make it. Yes yes wiseman. Yes which i at right. It's the perfect thing. And it's something that i that helps the show flow. It's you know it's only a thirty minute podcast so But if the caller is talked bad like they do sometimes it would be our thirty minutes. So we've we've served it down a little bit. How how cathartic heavy found this for some of those fans that maybe you did have to do a little bit of editing at the end but you listen to this whole thing and it's like wow. This person really needed to get this off their chest or really wanted to to give this back and really reveal how much wrestling has affected them or impacted them or how much it helped them at some point in their lives. How much it's been really helpful and you've been able to play a kind of a shadow psychologist or sociologist here. Yeah now. I'm becoming the dr phil a professional wrestling. That's my new thing it has and there's been some great call so far there there's a couple of haven't played their thirty eight year old mom who's like i didn't know at wrestling was and now it's something that we bond over and i'm taking my child to the eight to c w. and become to saint louis and there was one that i just got the other day about a friend who wasn't sure about wrestling who is a trans A trans woman and they didn't think they had a place to go to wrestling and then they were introduced aid. W and where you see trans and nonbinary and wrestlers like sahni and nyla and that that's opened the doors and they feel comfortable going to wrestling. They just got wrestling tickets for aws. They're super excited. So these are calls. That i love. I love those passionate calls. I love playing those calls at in the heart strings. But then i also you know love playing a call where a guy side new jack try to piggyback to women and then they both fell on the sidewalk..

Truly in the world does it Right now There's no one like Douglas cast joining us some sea breeze and Doug I love loved Love your note yesterday afternoon. Which is where is the up or that we've all become hourly traders. I mean, how do we extricate ourselves from this? A wise one. First Let me say that I love following Jack abloom in the morning. Hey, texted me that he's watching. And all I would say is that Jack Avlynn has one of the best long games in the investment business. But it's short game and golf is a totally certain disaster. Psych embarrassing, and I know the reason you played golf with the missus. Is that bad, But you seriously done on the market. I quoted a wrestling icon rowdy Roddy Piper. Have come here to to bubble gum and kick ass. I'm out of bubble gum. I'm reasonably convinced that the markets Upside reward is dwarfed by the downside risk. It doesn't mean that the market's going to fade immediately, but all the signs of their Evaluations. Investor expectations are really inflated. Speculation has run amok is you just described with the discussion of AMC? Are they compartmentalized, Mr Kass? Or do you lump it all together? AB Blin said that you know, it's a little ambivalent right now where we Where we are, But do you lump it all together? Or is AMC discreet? Yeah, I lump it all together. I see it as endemic. To what's going on in the market. The artificial itty the absence of natural price discovery created by obviously zero interest rate policy, It's become Paul in time so conspicuous. That's it can't be ignored by any investor that requires a margin of safety when they invest. All right, Doug. I appreciate it. Rowdy Roddy Piper reference as much as the next person. But I also note in your most recent note that you are not yet net short. What would get you to become net short? Yeah, I'm respectful of the markets momentum. Which we all know is fueled. As I said, in large measure because of liquidity from physical monetary policy. I think it's important that we recognize that tops of processes. I think we're making an important top. Bottoms, by contrast, or more Typically, events and bull markets are typically born out of bad news. If you consider March 2009 the generational low in equities, which I described Or March 2020 at both junctions. Like really bullish. It doesn't pay to be dogmatic. Neither permissible nor Perma bear be. I Um and, um Uh, you know, In fact, if you remember our conversations on surveillance throughout 2020, I called for rip your face rally and mother of all short squeezes, which we've had. But bear markets are born out of good news. If you consider early 4 4007 and maybe even June 2021 It happens when demand for stocks is stated. It happens when you ever promotional CEO of a company like AMC, where there's tremendous mis allocation allocation of capital. On bears play money on steroids. Um and you have someone By contrast, Mud Rick from Madrid Capital who becomes the smartest man in the room and and plays Rev. It and Wall Street bets and David Port Night. To a fare thee well and makes 30 million as a new hourly trader. Not a day traded to reference your question about the you know whether we're all day traders now. So when stocks achieved by by him when they're expensive, we short I'm starting up a hedge fund this week. Seabreeze Capital Partners LP to take advantage of what I think are In certain cases, ludicrously valued the prices classical short. What do you do in black box? Long, slow joy. Most long short guys are thinking a 95% are belong biased. I run along short book with the short bias. What I do during my days is analyzed cos I'm not looking at the forums and read it. Wall Street bets. Hopefully, I'm producing an intelligent judgment of that. Will you apply leverage? Don't apply live. Never use leverage. I tried to create excess returns Alfa by Superior stock selection. The bottom line is that I feel a lot of people today are ignoring the fact that the S and P has doubled since the march lows. I think looking at the rear view mirror is not the fountain for delivering superior returns to meet. Buying here is like drinking contaminated water, so I'm not yet sure. Paul. You have one step out the door on. I hope that my hedge fund launches timely from the standpoint of Setting up shorts. But as I look at the major, and I'd be happy to go through, most of them very quickly as I look out most asset classes, most market sectors and individual stocks I'm prettier sign. Is is Doug is the catalyst for a market contraction in your mind, the Fed stepping in there and tapering if not start talking about raising rates. I'm different than everyone else. I'd listened to Laura earlier earlier on Bloomberg TV, Um I listened to your other guests were all smart. I just think it happens. Let's look for example of the disgorging inspects. Or 300 specs. They raised $120 billion late 2020 and early 2021. How fast was that? Graze over. It was over his fastest Fraser as Frasier getting a walk off. Uh, yeah. Home run last night at the bottom of the 11th. Was Aura's trump Sterling, said. Tom Oh, did we need that? Okay, well, just cause it's Tony abroad. So I see a broader disgorgement ahead. Not only not only for Tampa Bay boat for the market darkest. I gotta switch gears here on the raging debate that we're having. And everybody else is on the new baseball. I'm a huge fan frankly of the new game. And I go back to a pitcher who was in the Baseball Hall of Fame. By the time he was 36 years old and pitch from a higher mountain. Would Sandy Koufax complain about lower in the mound right now to make things work? Sandy's giddy about his investment portfolio. And I don't think he would be concerned about, um, the difference in the Mount. I don't I don't I don't feel so. I mean you and I remember these guys were fierce if they were up way high, Bob Gibson, one marriage shell and the rest of him and they brought it in all the games. You know, That's why Sandy's games were 2 to 1. Um, you know the Yankees, by the way, getting back to baseball uncharacteristically has toward two or less runs and nine of the less 13 games. The last time that happened was 1971 Aaron Boone. The manager wasn't 11. And I think Brian was four years old. I got one last question is really, really important Question because you're living a Doug cast the rest of us air up here in the snow. You lived in large in Florida. Tampa Bay, the San Diego Padres, the L. A Dodgers and the San Francisco Giants doing so well because the players want to play in that perfect weather. Yeah, s Oh, no, it Z. You're a Red Sox fan. For God's sakes. You know it's early in the season. Talk to me in August. We'll leave it there. Go away. Doug cast good luck with your new long short escapade here yet it will be interesting to leverage. That's no lovers..

"President obama. It doesn't it just doesn't no one's good thinks he's going to be there they can say. We invited the cabinet and everyone from congress who cares. Nobody's gonna order the event based on that i just. I watched saturday night. Live or the onion news network. Or jimmy. Kimmel or jimmy fallon humor. I don't want pe- wrestling people who should know wrestling trying to be funny in a way that doesn't help enhance the product. Sometimes people are funny. Roddy piper's funny chris. Jericho has been funny. Ms can be funny people. Jerry lawler can be fun. That's fine in the context of promoting a wrestling show in a wrestling match. It just seems like a waste. It's just a waste. And it just plays like bruce said this this idea that they're just shamed by the business that they're in and constantly looking for an excuse to do something else and i just think they have too much within the wrestling realm to get right. I was shocked at karma. Said feeling that i wonder how much trouble she's gonna be in for that. Yeah she's got a year to get over I if i wanna see senators and congressmen. I'll watch c. span and i wanna see people do parodies of senators and congressmen. I'll watch a show. Saturday night live I just had this horrible feeling. We're going to get a bunch of really bad impersonators. Out there again and the only person going to be laughing as vince mcmahon and i guess whoever's sitting nearby You know it's i. I mean you kind of feel like that's coming when when they start talking about making. It seem like some of these people might actually come to the pay per view. Oh i could see that Yeah it'll just be sketch comedy show. You know it's pay per view and look. Here's an obama impersonator. Yeah i just. I dread it if this is a wwe. Things having impersonators. Hillary clinton and president obama and john bainer and whomever at the show. Fine then market that. If you think that's gonna draw then go ahead and say it overtly we are going to have. We have it on good authority that president obama and hillary clinton are going to be there and find a way to say it in a way where it's clear you're kind of being sarcastic and that there's going to be. I just advertise. We're going to have a sketch comedy. Show for you with impersonators. The president just like the opening skit on saturday live. If you think that's gonna draw then marcus at all the way with it. I think it would be an utter failure and a complete waste of time. And i think they do too. Which is why they're not gonna overtly advertise it. They're just probably going to subject us to it. When what we really want are some better wrestling matches and feuds that we really care about so i just think the rock with it. I agree we're about to go to another commercial break..

"Baby face. I think likes his zara better of that recruit role where he's got a mouthpiece with like i think he's just the dominant physical specimen but there are times that his promos aren't great but there he's into his promo he's passionate. He's until you carry company. He you know defected. He speaks nine. Languages makes him a perfect to be on top of the company because he can put him anywhere. Speak their native tongue so I would say. I would lean probably no but i would have a problem with somebody jumping that way. Do you think it would be different if he was on. Let's say the robber and No know the crazy thing is even though smackdown. it's fox is kind of like the h. Show a lot of ways if still fueled the wrestler show. So i think you would have a better shot on on smackdown. But he does on roger. Ross still ends up being the more hawkish skit type show than smackdown see. I think this match is more of a test for sorrow I think this is seeing. If he can hang with the big boys at the main event level. I was believed that he could. But when you give someone the ball after like a decade it feels like a fans being like push. This guy pushed. This guy pushed this guy like whenever the phrase the brass ring was brought up it was specifically talking about cesar. I remember a period of time coming on a resume and thirty. We're sitting here. We're looking toward summer. Salmon that reports at the time that czars be taken on john cena. That never happened. Because coming out of wrestlemainia. Thirty andre the giant memorial battle royal. He gets paired up with paul heyman. He's on this. You know huge momentum. For the next couple months advantages completely derailed. He falls down the ladder get stuck in tag teams with tyson kidd and does a fantastic job minute with shame. Misses the bar shinsuke. nakamura Is a aside piece to Sammy zane and what he's doing. And it's like op it. Maybe he's amid card upper mid card guy best intercontinental united states champion and. It seems like with his deal expiring and reportedly getting a new one now. They're testing the waters to see oil. Is this guy may have been player. Fans have been cena forever. Rest has been saying that forever. Like the he's the number one guy. Dr trae that you hear from other wrestlers that they're like hey you know who should be at the top of the car. That's not currently at the top of the card. And nearly everybody in these interviews say sorrow so. This is more of a test than to be like a this is potentially the next top guy w e from my vantage point in years of watching it as a fan. I just feel like this is a test. Let's see how he does. And this one month feud with roman reigns and if. He has a very strong match which i think he. Does i think that this match with roman reigns on. Sunday could be roman reigns best match in two thousand twenty one and he's had a lot of good matches with a lot of good wrestler. So far I think this is a test if you can hang with the big boys and be world champion material down the line. I mean that makes no sense plus I'm not mistaken. The draft should be coming up in a couple months. It's usually like late summer So that's the case. You put him in rome. He hanging roman. But you don't want him to take the belt from roman you know a lashley. Zara feud on raw. I actually would be pretty good as well physically work again. They might have great On the back of no. I like a thorough. Having this is really awkward time and wbz's you have to dominant. He'll heavyweight champion. And i don't think we've had a run like this in a very very long time. We're just the heels looked so dominant that nobody bring me doesn't get a lot of credit for creating new stars. I think they've done a great job with bobby. Lashley drew mcintyre over the past year braun strowman to a degree as well of like making these people main event level players and They necessarily don't deserve they. Don't get a lot of credit for its to see if If w e is able to pull the trigger on one says this sunday russ backlash will pre that match here. Later on the podcast. this past a week ago. This past thursday was the return of one of my favorite shows. the vice. Tv's dark side of the ring and open up with. Brian pullman. An a fantastic two hour documentary part one part two highly recommend people checking it out Tonight as record the podcast. It's going to be another episode of dark side of the ring. This one is called the ultra violence of nick gage. The former season wrestler who Was in prison for six years for an armed robbery. So that'll be on tonight. Thursday nights I've got that up on the dvr and then lately in the debris realm you've had the e w e biography. They had the one with booker t this past week. The woman macho man randy savage which has been highly criticized. Roddy piper Was one and then. I think missing another one that aired For some reason. Then there's another show called deby's most wanna treasures where aj francis who's working top dollar now. Annex t goes out to Retrieve mabille lia renews memorabilia for their archives. For what i would presume to be eventual physical hall of fame. All of this is leading to the question. Dr trae that made me think. What is your favorite non in regressing. Show right now. There's a lot of good non entering russ inches right now from dark side of the ring. A w. e. biography you've got weee's most wanted treasures. You've got anything. Basically i'm a network. That is not an ring that is fantastic whether it be twenty four on told Day of chronicle. There's a lot of good in rings non in ring wrestling content. That's out there right now. include even ms mrs which is like this random Show like that. I like to watch from time to time. And and i'm not a total divas fan. I know dr trae is but you have a lot of non in ring wrestling content out there. Dr try was with that said. Which is your favorite right now. What which one stands out to you that you're like when you see it non in ring stuff you kind of get a little bit excited to see what will be taking place You sit down and watch your dvr with your family. So i'm a little biased. The last episode of I've heard what you said. I don't remember show but the one where they're actually hunting out the old treasures most wanna treasures most widespread. Okay so that one. The episode jerry. Lawler andy kaufman Had one of my good friends. In the show. Dave logan guy who grades allow the title belts and he had the The pair of jerry lawler boots That he sold to top dollar a gay daniel Some a little bias. That would that was a great episode. Because i i loved a. He's he's been a great asset to me through my independent wrestling career But in all honesty. I i do love miss like i just think it's a really fun silly show And it was the ones where it's like you watch it and you go man you really in a liking the ms then you watch him raw smackdown. You're like me so good at be a jackass on wrestling. But he's just kind of silly bumbling kind of goofy dad in real life. It's i really basically my wife laugh every time you watch it And then i do love also the dark show the ring stuff because it kind of gives me a glimpse behind the scenes.

Actually address savages exit on raw and thanked him for his work for the company. Pbs insider Also notes that lawler may have been mixing up savages moved to wcw and legs. Luger's move to the company on the first night of wcw nitro when he worked a wwe hall show one night before and luger was also misnamed as legs logar in that episode so you know apparently there's many different production teams That's working on many different episodes of biography Which explains why you guys from the stone. Cold to the piper to the macho man wide just had like that completely different look field the whole aura. That's because there's many different teams Pretty much on this and everything Select for so for example. So for example. Billy corgan corgan nine w. a. billy corgan. I'm saying billy corgan like barron. Corden billy corgan. And alfred spellman they were producers forty savage special whereas piper. and steve austin when that had different producers. So you you you kinda gotta see kind of goes back to what i was saying earlier. Man you just kinda gotta look at the shit. You're watching this and you know it would really help that before you watch these things you go in and you got the mindset Okay let me do my research. Let me just kind of get an idea of unity overall story and in just mentally. Just kinda compare notes. Edger as you're watching the special and everything but yeah. When i watched that my girl will tell you when i watched. Stf boston join. I was like oh so we just gonna go right past the whole wisdom go right past the whole stone cold abuse there right where we're just gonna go right. Pass that okay. I could also in the perfect world of wwe. You feel where. I'm coming from so apparently the next Biography is going to be on booker. T you know what that's a story you know everybody that has followed the career booker. T. you know they. They know about that story. I know about his story. You know very well. But i wouldn't mind actually watching that Of the brother. I wouldn't mind watching that and Cnn nice little updated version. And you know. I would also like to hope. They actually do cover that great lens. I would love to hear about the whole political aspirations that he's had 'cause you know remember. He tried to run mayor. I think for houston a couple of times and everything. So i i actually will check that out. I actually will watch that. You know but the other ones. It's kinda like especially roddy. Roddy piper's one. Roddy piper's one. It's like jacana account already know about that one Hell i rare. Roddy piper's autobiography. That was released a pretty much post monia asleep by his daughter And son right so it's kind of one of those. Tell me something i. I don't know. I would trust that biography and dark side of the ring crew. You know doing their interpretation of roddy piper a lot more than something that was heavily Produced in had a lot of cooks in the kitchen but mainly was overseeing By guys from the wwe speaking dark side of the ring. They're doing a marathon right now before the season premiere and Remember they return season three. It's this thursday. I thought i was going to have a double whammy is tuesday now so They are back. "Did you see that? It's the president is Pennsylvania and go to the president. Because now the Legislature changed. And don't forget. The Democrats do this meticulous list meticulously and diabolically. They go in, and they'll put more judges in the right spot. They they've been doing it for years. And the Republicans. You know what got smoked. They got smoked because they don't know how to fight. So simple is that they don't you got one fighter? His name is Donald Trump. That's it. But like I said, like that, sometimes I understand the president on the radio show. I like to reach out. I wish everybody was there for us to tell us what's going on. No one knows what's going on. So the fight is on stand fast. Let's do a recount in Georgia. Let's do a recount of George, okay. And then what happens today? Like I told you yesterday, and by the way we have Phil Klein is back with us, because he knows exactly what's going on, and he's gonna tell you what it's going to be going on today in the House and in the Senate, and Aaron L. L. Moore, she's great executive director of U S a strong and turning point a turning point us a contributor. He will be right there in the rally so we could see what's going on Dad and watch it. It's gonna be crazy. You know, Chief Terrance Monahan kind enough to join us. We talk about the NYPD. You know, I gotta tell you something as we go into this, and if you do indeed lose the Senate, then you're gonna then you're going to see police officers, retiring police officers taking you know the retirement and just walk in, and it's gonna be tough. And it was, I don't know, because Joe Biden doesn't have the mental acumen to figure out what to do with this country or to lead this country notice Camilla Harris, You know that, And I'm saying that in a very objective way. There's no vision. There's no ideological belief. There's no America first. There's no I believe in America, where there's none of that. If they're just it's a scattershot and all it is is they have no vision. Who said that you Tucker Carlson said that yesterday. They don't dammit come in with the vision, and yet they're winning. And yet they're winning. So I'm Plus you need a recount. It's early. It's early in the morning, but please don't get upset. First of all hole in your heart, the fighter that you are that you what you did four years ago what you did in 2016. How you only you owned it, and we turned it around now, if indeed everything kind of falls apart, and then we got we got. Oh, my God. She got all Democrats all the time. We got a problem. We got a problem, but we're not going to go down. We're gonna keep fighting and that's force that is down there and watching in D C today. And the force that is on this radio station. And you're kind enough to listen to you. You the force. You're going to stay with us. I'm going to continue to fight. Do not go down. Do not despair. We will continue to fight. I will continue to fight for you and the airwaves that I have here on. A lot of things can happen with with with an old Democrat. I wanna get negative. But they could change the broadcasting rules. They could change the FCC. They could stack the courts they could make states make of these territories states. So indeed, they have more votes. They're gonna do everything they can. Just for what reason? I don't know, but I'll tell you right, one thing I do know it's not for the good of the country. It's not for the good of the country. And when President trump all his bluster and everything that they've hated about him, it was for the good of the country is so the security of the United States of America and you know what else gets me too. And mostly, what happens today? My my hopes are high today. That's something crazy is going to happen. And I mean it in a good way. I mean, just that Donald Trump stays in. And and maybe we got to go to the court in the court. The Supreme Court won't be able to deny it. And President Trump States President Trump because now if you have all Democrats all the time, China owns America Boom, End of story might drop. This simple is that we've done the research on the show, and the Communists will take over. The plan was so laid out. And I don't know how What gets me is I don't know that I was the conscience. Where's the conscience of a guy like also who's you know, you align yourself with the communist right? And then the press lines himself with the condoms. You have all the mainstream media there with the Communist Party with the Communists are saying and what the mainstream media says The United States are identical. People are lying to you as they give you the news lot, and then I looked Try to look, you know, we got the big screen TVs. We got the high def you got all the high did digital stuff I'm looking at. It's pathetic. I'm looking at the anchors. Eyes are looking his er rise as she's telling you. Well, there's no evidence of fraud. I'm going, right love. Did she and I'm looking. There's gotta be a smirk in there's gonna know they're like dead. It's like zombie eyes on the news PRC that You look into the camera. They know they're wrong, but they can't help themselves who was telling these people who's telling these people? What was that? That that movie You know, the movie where they take over the vague they come again? That was the horror film and, you know And it was like they the aliens are taking over. You won't live. They live. Thank you. Thank you. Probably rowdy Roddy Piper Mine. That's how could I say? I don't have an astute team working for me. There It is. What I look like a priceless knowledge. Keith. David was his sidekick in the movie. Remember, he puts the glasses on and he sees There's obey all these different stuff. Fantastic movement. Thank you. Thank you out. I say I take back what I said about that. I've been in the news source. Because Alison, I knew that and somebody asked me earlier about who the Brady cousin was..
