When you were young and your heart wasn't open book you used to say welcome back, we're talking to my friend Ryan, health and bind who heads up the standing for freedom center at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. We're talking about the transgender madness. I mean, I think most people who are at all grounded know that the transgender movement is just insane. Like, where did it come from? Like ten minutes ago, somebody decided, oh, you know, we just, sorry, like timeout, the moon is the sun and the sun is the moon, making out of it. You're like, what? When did they suddenly determine that something that is just one of the most basic givens in all of history is up for grabs, it's not even they're not even trying to be scientific about it. Like it's just something somebody pulled out of a hat, turned into a club and this is like beating everyone within reach with this crazy club that they just like pulled out of a hat. It's just bizarre. Yeah, so when you think about what's actually happening, you've probably talked about this on your program, the overton window, where sort of the extremes in our culture of sexuality is continuing to be pushed in a leftward direction. And I don't mean liberal. I mean left, right? Where it no longer even represents humanity. I mean, it goes way beyond the pale. The idea is deconstruction, really at the end of the day, if you have a society that is a sexless society. If you have a society that has taken puberty blockers, had breast removed, as actually surgically has harmed themselves, scarred themselves. This is a generation that becomes the shock troops of a cultural revolution that brings the country beyond the brink of recovery. We can not come back from that. Perceptive friend of mine who was noticing these things. His name is rod Martin. He said, look, you look at a generation and you say, this is back in the 1960s. Get them to hate mom and dad, right? Protest movement. Eventually, though, what happens? They get married. They have kids of their own. And then they realize, aha, mom and dad, we're not that dumb, right? If you get a generation, though, Eric, to hate themselves, they destroy their own bodies, there is no way to come back from that. They never experienced the joy of marriage, they never experienced the joy of children, right? Like irreparably harmed. I mean, but by the grace of God, the only way is Jesus saves, right? So culturally, people are so scarring maligning all of that to where there is no way to bring that back. That's what's happening though. It's sort of the fertile fallacy that's being planted in education at 5, 6, 7, 8. You go all the way back to Stalin, give me your children for four years, right? It's literally that thing. If they can start that early and create enough confusion in children, they'll never be a part of their parents forever. And that is when I say it's satanic. In other words, when you are talking to a child about things that are utterly inappropriate for that child, that child has no way to process what you're talking about. You can with some words really do violence to that child. I mean, if you say to a young girl, tell me about your father's or your mother's sexuality. Or did your did your father or mother try to rape you? And if you ask a child a question like that, the harm you can do with words with introducing concepts is just staggering. And we are allowing people evidently to talk to our kids about this. And you think, if you don't stand against this, if you allow this, you're part of doing this to these children. This is potentially irreparable harm. And asking children about their sexuality introducing the questions at that age, I think most people in America know it's insanity. It is harmful. But then the question is, will you stand against it? Will you pull your kids out of those schools? Will you say I will not allow this? And then how many leaders are leading? I mean, except for Ron DeSantis, can we name anybody who's like, I mean, there's a few along the way, I think Abbott is doing something in Texas about it. There's certainly other states that are going to follow what Ron DeSantis has done. And certainly when there are majorities enough and the legislatures, they can pass similar bills. Honestly, there's a UN resolution that went all the way back to 1948 that defines human rights and education. And that's the right of the parent. I think actually Rudy Giuliani pointed that out just yesterday. It's remarkable that our country has known this for such a long time. It's such common sense. But in order to get a bill passed to sort of say, this is the line in the sand, this is where we're going to say no further. It's incredible that we're having this discussion in 2028 that we have to pass a bill in order to give the rights and education back to the parent and not the superintendent I think you meant 2022. Yeah, 2020 scared me. You just aged me by 6 years. No, that's kind of, it is crazy stuff. And we have to revisit the basics. Parents are in charge of what their kids learn. God, God appointed the parents as the guardians as the stewards over these kids. And the idea that we've now gotten to a point where the state would try to, I mean, you expect that in East Germany. You expect that in the Soviet Union. You expect that maybe in China or I mean, there you have no freedom. You have no rights. They can do anything they want to you. They can murder you. They can rape you. They can steal your children. It is a nightmare. This is America. This is supposedly a country where we are free where we understand these things. But these challenges have come to us, and so the question again, for your average parent, your average citizen is, are you standing against this? Are you aware that there are forces trying to destroy your children? Yeah. I mean, it's kind of amazing. You know, I would say Eric two to anybody who's listening, practically speaking, you absolutely the first thing you absolutely need to do is make sure that you're voting. And that you're a participating voter in school board elections, local elections. If you're not doing that, you need to be registered to vote, you need to look into that. And that's a huge issue. The other part of it is, is alternatives. There are lots of alternatives in education. So in certain states, there's not a school choice Bill that you can go to. There's homeschooling options. I will just tell you that Liberty University provides an online academy for K through 12 education where you can actually homeschool through that method. You live in New York City. You want to have a quality education, at least online. There's no substitute obviously for a full classroom experience. We know that. But look, these are challenging times. And people need to do something. So Liberty University provides an online education for K through 12. We have over 10,000 enrolled in that. That is one of our fastest growing. How do people access that? What is it called? Well, you need to go to liberty, liberty dot EDU, go there first at our portal, and you can look at all the different enrollment options we have, not just for college, not just for masters or for a PhD a doctorate, but also for K through 12. Liberty online academy. So liberty dot EDU. Yes..

"You know you hear. That sounds good idea. I did hear about that. yeah. I haven't been paying too much attention but i try not to. I refuse to go into it too much. Because i actually feel gross. Even seen a picture of him. I see it on. Social media grosses me out. so yeah he just. It's one of those things where like you kind of. Just get the sense that he smells really bad about as a homeless person definitely but he's but he's like but he doesn't look like one but you also get the sense that if you ever like like Like touched his his forehead. Like your finger would stick. You've probably sticky to corruption would go to your finger. Finger turns black spreads. Yeah that's the kind of thing so yeah you know. Here's the thing but the thing about this is his tweets is use of derogatory language. That's actually the least creepy part about him. Oh yeah for sure. I'd rather have that all day. I mean i don't understand why the gop even waste their time trying to bring that point up. Tried to show the hypocrisy of the left. They don't care. They don't care at all their hypocrisy. is patently. obvious for everyone to see the obviously. Don't care so let's just ignore that stuff right exactly right at some other big news. Sbc's falling apart more a little guy. Yeah the little bit more. The liberal guy took over. there is three candidates. There was the left the middle in the right and left one. Yeah and that's all about. That's the only thing i know about. It and my wife told me that the the left was trying to do some parliamentary tricks. Or whatever in some filibustering but now the left is completely. Sbc's completely run by the left. Yeah yeah and. I think that's species over what do you think. Oh yeah definitely. I don't know if you had a chance to watch my video on this. But but that's essentially. What i said i in and actually. I predicted that this would happen before. I said i think the left is going to win this one and I think it's going to happen in the pca too by the way their general assembly think is coming up. It might be next week or the week after anyway but yeah i think it's i think it's done so it's done so I i know that like rod martin is trying to get you know..

"Our. What was your impression there. Well i knew. I knew this davis Before because we played against them sometimes and He he was It comes from an owner because he knew a lot of the game by by himself because he used to be a coach and then ended up as an owner and then concentrate owner. That really knew everything about the game of football and look what it was involved with john madden of course The youngest coach in the national football league at that time pro football at thirty two years old and I know the players will challenge. Coach is what was your impression of him the first time you met him. He was at dynamic coach. I guarantee that You let expressions go out on the field and emotions to A real great motivator for getting ready for the games and everything else and make sure letting them know when you make a mistake. It was a great great coach. You know as well as i do. Ted that the raiders. Back at that time had a I guess you might say a free wheeling attitude and everything. And i know you trained up in santa rosa. I was up there a number of times. There was a lot of hijinks. Did anybody ever keep curfew. They certainly did six weeks a long time. Especially on two days to keep was corral. I guarantee you that. Yeah i mean you guys were out at the watering holes in everything and you used to do lot of a lot of things. Do i remember correctly. Did anybody ever tape john to a goalpost. One time. I've heard that rumor before i got there. I think was been davidson. But that's it. Yeah it was. It was out davidson son. Mark i'll be darned. I did not. I did not know that but there was a thing in the early part of your relationship. With the with the raiders. Did did al tell john not to play you or delimit you and your play and then eventually mad eventually had you. Starting by the end of the nineteen seventy five season. No i got hurt and pulled a muscle course the next year you became a full-time player with the raiders. And the raiders switched to that four defense early in the season and you played the weakside linebacker and they had another pretty good linebacker. There and phil villapiano. Tell me a little about linebacking corps. He not only that. But so it was a great linebacker and like martin the other linebacker back when i played some string Phil was only for a few years and and It was definitely a strong linebacker. Who and I don't know what happened with the trade. They made Get him out to buffalo. And then the right martin. Jason and took his place. Let's talk about the the three super bowls that you won with the raiders. The first one was super bowl number. Eleven and it was the first and the franchise history thirty two fourteen over the vikings. What were the important parts of that game. I actually we had to put a lot of pressure on fram turkey and really down intercepted a pass off on ran it. Back for a touchdown and We just dominated them They couldn't get the running game going and the game was over with the third period in one thousand nine hundred eighty. You were consensus first team. All pro for the first time since nineteen seventy four and you certainly did. Help the raiders to win their second super bowl that was super bowl. Fifteen and that was twenty seven ten against the eagles. And the why reason why i remembered it was down in new orleans that game and i remember dick. Ver- meal worked his team to death. The super bowl week. And when you were out there on the field you guys can read a team and you can read a play pretty well. What was your read on the eagles and game. Not only that. But rod martin three interceptions in that game. That was i thought he would make Player player of the game and They gave it to plunkett for his quarterbacking But now yeah. I wonder where one of our teammates was out on curfew during that week. And they said they sent him home and our and our are often cigar said if they did that on our team. The coach one stated out there. I know i was out on bourbon street with i'll just share a little story with you. I was out after curfew with one of the players. And we're coming into the team hotel and a tom flurries is coming down the stairway. And you know it's it's one o'clock one thirty in the morning and he says why are you out after curfew and this players turned to tom. And he said ron couldn't sleep and we had to go out and find him some warm milk but It it it really was. What was interesting about that season as tom. Floors almost got fired because in the middle of the season. You guys had back to back. Losses did you. Not and i don't know whether they were shutouts but there were back to back. Losses and owl was thinking seriously about making a coaching change. I didn't know anything about that. Yeah and then of course in your final campaign in one thousand nine hundred eighty three. You made your eight pro bowl. You block your twenty fifth kick of your career and you. Re part of the raiders. Super bowl eighteen win over the washington redskins thirty eight to nine now. I already know the answer to this. But i'm gonna let you answer it anyway. Way the key play in that game. Marcus allen's well besides that the interception just before halftime correct. That really broke the back of the redskins right. They sure did and speaking of go ahead charlie. Sumner are defensive. Coordinator is one that told I can't remember the players name but he's the one intercepted the ball and he told that that was gonna come out. It wasn't going to be the clay. So if they're warning and sure enough that that's what they ran and the intercept that the goal and they.

"I don't think there was anybody that was that dominant. Whether it was Barry where there was Why whatever, I I just don't think there was that guy that was that dominant. That should have gotten the M V P over Brady because I thought Brady didn't do much in the second half reason being he didn't have to. He did it on the first half. It was there. There was enough points. The 21 which case he never gets past nine. You didn't know it then. 23 touchdown passes to to Gronk. It was just like He was taking a team to another level in 30 minutes of action. That's exactly what he did. He took Tampa Bay from a wild card team that just won three games on the road. And the most improbable one was in the cold in Green Bay. And they did. It was similarities in this aspect. He scored a touchdown late in the first half in the Green Bay game to Scotty Miller after Green Bay gave them an opportunity by putting the ball in the air from their own 40 down 14 to 10. When they didn't have to the interception happened. Green Bay was getting the kick off in the second half. So you want to be down? No less than the four points you're downright. It's almost like playing for the last shot of the game. You're either going into overtime or you're going to make that last shot. And then the guy shoots it with eight seconds, missus. And now all of a sudden, the other team's got a chance to win it in regulation basketball. So that stuff like that should never happen. Green Bay You've got to look at it. Risk and reward your down 14 10 and two the first half 40 seconds to go. You're on your own 40 Look something safe, a little flare pass. Or some, but not something that has a chance to be deflected. Intercept it like it was. And then there they go on the 4th and 6th from the 39. I'm telling you, I'm feeling I'm going. They're going to go for it. They're not just going to try and get 34 yards for this field. Go on, get out of bounds. They're gonna go for it. They're gonna go and sure enough, Miller gets behind the defense gets a touchdown that was catastrophic for the Packers. That was a sucker punch right before the end of the half, and then Andy Reid calling time out. How are you calling time out when it's only second into its second and two, So they have to downs to make two yards. You just gave them a time out. And now all of a sudden they get it, and now they're going to go in position to score they do and another nice sucker punch. Really showing unprecedented confidence in your defense, right? That you're going to absolutely positively gonna stop there with the you know. Wait, wait when it's such short yardage with that many down so little bit crazy there, But, yeah, I mean, look, it's uh, it was impressive win to say the least. As you pointed out on the defensive side, the ball Look, Murphy Bunny didn't have a game like a Larry Brown did for the Cowboys, right where you have a you know, a consequence will pick six or something. You didn't have a defensive player that you know, made some type of game changing play. That would have warranted them. Getting the W the M V p of the Super Bowl, But you know, as I'm just saying as a team defense, though, very impressive what the Buccaneers were able to do give it to the team defense. Another of these acts have something. Yes, Okay, we'll give it to you. But that's what makes me even more ticked. Every single year. I watched this Super Bowl 55 of them. Now nobody's come close to Rod Martin's three interceptions in that Super Bowl that when they beat Philadelphia and how the hell he didn't get the M V P is is just mind boggling. I don't care that a quarterback gets in most of time, and that was only back 15, you know, have Super Bowl 15. There's been 40 since then, and only one other defensive player. You got Chuck Hallie back from the Cowboys before that game, and then you have one, Ah, few years ago, but that zit I mean everybody else, pretty much his quarterback or another offensive skill position. One abductees in real quick off fourth quarters. Philly's gonna beat Sacramento. Get the winning the cover on the road games already gone over all totals. Well, no It's gone over the opening told of 2 29.5 closing totals to 32. They're sitting on 2 30 right now with seven seconds left. Philly 1 19 1 11. I'll get your final jazz 107 Celtics won our naked jazz Wanna wait? Celtics won a one. I've got Boston Plus 5.5 an hour 3 20 seconds left. So you're okay. They're sitting on one of nine totals to 22. You have What? Jazz SLT Plus 5.5 5.5. That's what the clothes that all right and those games. We're going right now And now it's one. Wait one or two. So you're down six with 3 22 to go keep an eye there. Vegas Gold night's game got Harry and it has just ended or no, it's 54 with 10 seconds to go. Vegas leads Anaheim at the T Mobile. Calgary's just slipped past Winnipeg 3 to 2, which is good. I had that one. And after overtime San Jose in the L. A kings tied at three, so they will go to the shoot out there. Chicago doubled up on Dallas 2 to 16 to one. Tampa Bay continues to excel. I think 10 1 on one now. For the defending champions, beating Nashville pummeling the Predators. What has happened to that team Panthers, who suffered their first regular season lawsuit, you know, not counting in overtime loss. They Lost the other night, but they get back on when one column there by nipping your red ones. I'm surprised you didn't have the wings, plus a goal and a half. I wasn't It's really tough, You know, firma. It's ahead. Hard thing, Katie with my Detroit teams this year, I mean, I might take a stab at the piston Street there. I didn't have the pistol tonight, man. You about how I would have taken you. I would've taken you over one, but I didn't do it. So yeah, I didn't even The Pistons just I can't lie to you Can. They are one of the worst teams in the MBA. Probably the worst team. I think every night that you're on the show. They went. Yes, they should call out Let's say more circulated. They make games out of it. Sometimes they made it in l A two nights ago. They played the Lakers and at the staples and it ends up going over time. They lost, but They should have no business being that game. They had a beating Lakers a week before you brought that up five straight years they've won in Detroit against the Lakers. That's impressive. It is pretty good, but I mean, but it's just a team that's basically in rebuild mode, right? I mean, there's there's some skill players there. They just traded away. Derrick Rose to the Knicks in Derek plays first game in New York Back in New York. I should say tonight And so it's It's Look, it's they have some young kids there. I like Sadiq Bay. I like you know, a couple of other guys that are solid rooms, layers to so yeah, I mean, it's they have Ah, lot of promise, I guess, but it Zen. They're nowhere near a playoff contender right now, and Terry Gross said he was done several years ago. And he's still playing. But don on the NHL side cannot about those people that had Golden Knights puck line tonight. That was, it was a 41 game at one point for Vegas, and it ends up It's one final 54..

"Because, well, I'll tell you, it's tough some days, man. Yeah. I mean, they trailed by 14. Katie. Wow. That of the loss. Uh, you know, I I didn't have a good Thursday is probably my worst day and three weeks yesterday, so I It was, you know, And then the count that one of the lots of your personal betting, I bet Marshall thinking, you know, Dominion played since you know. January 16th. How about Marshall belong at 21 Point lead? I mean, that's the fourth biggest blown lead of the entire college basketball season. So far, I mean that one that one hurt the pocket, but thankfully, the top play that comes through. But man, it's I could tell you that in and nothing really easy when it When it comes to college hoops. It is. It is crazy. So there is I mean, Case in point, right there have a 21 point lead. You're laying five or whatever on Marshall 56 and you, So you go. Okay. I got that when I feel good about that one. Sometimes you just You look in your like, You know what? I've already played it. I'm not watching it. I don't have time to. You know what? Why don't I just not look as the game's going and just look at the final scores? And then there's you know, squeeze the final scores like Chuck and I used to do And then we All we want to do is see the team that we had lit up. So then we know they won the game. That's great. If they're a dog, then you know you already won. And if their favorite and you got to squeeze the score and hope you covered the spread, But, man, I'm telling you, Yeah, there's there's so many games. I have literally 12 games. So far this year that I sold that I've lost by one point and another three by a half point. That's 15 games by a point or less that I lost crazy. Somebody will The market. Blue or not, is in a lot of instances pretty tight down there. That might be, you can't win. And there's not, you know, in the adequate sees in the market for soon it comes the injuries and one night but Yeah, it still amazes me with 350 teams. You know how tight Still some of these lines are. We'll get into some of the games. There is a chance. Maybe the last 10 minutes of the show we can see. If Rod Martin is finished with dinner, I may be able to get the man that had three interceptions off to war ski, But I have a feeling there's a good chance because they're out. They got reservations. I got pushed back that he probably will not be able to join us, but we're going to roll for at least the next. A test next 35 minutes with Brad Powers and we want to get his breakdown as far as the Super Bowl. Then we're gonna get into some of those college games on Saturday. You know, there's been I say the last three Saturdays. I've had one really good one. One that I lost juice because I played a bunch of games. I think I played 14 games and I went 76 and one or something. So you know, you end up not really making any money. I had a 84 and one and then I had one That was just like four and seven, which was not good, so Saturdays are tough and Throughout the years it is, you know, annually been my worst day of the year up until last year. Last year, everything kind of fell right and Saturdays were really, really good for me course When you go 94 And our what was it 94 55 or whatever it was. You know you're gonna you're gonna have a lot of good days, but things were falling this year. I guess I'm paying back some of that corn because chuckle tell you have those things will work themselves out. But you know those tough losses like you had tonight with Marshall laying, you know, five or six or whatever in Europe by 21. Boy. Those were the ones that hurt because you're like, OK, you feel you felt like you did your job handicapping, you know, maybe you didn't think they'd be a by 21. But you thought you'd be up by double digits. And you know when you and I are looking to sell games and give games to our clients, we're not looking for games. Win by, you know, like like college football like, you know, we're OK with a college football game if we're laying 6.5 winning by 10, but in college basketball when we're giving the play were thinking that You know when we're giving it out that there's we like it, maybe five points minimum over with the spread is as far as like. That's what we feel in our head that this team should win this game by if it goes the way that I'm handicapped, That's the way I feel. And I know you know you're not going to give some outgoing like yeah, it's ah, the lines 2.5. I expect him to win by four. You know you're not doing that. I mean, it's not the not the way your handicap in college football, college basketball two different things. How have you been doing overall? As far as you know, getting it online now, because I know you started out of the gate a little bit slow, but you really had a role in there for a while. And I know just Thursday was a was a tough pick up. But, you know, overall, I think you seem to have everything down as far as you know, Heading into. You know, the The month of February and then we get into March madness. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, January 10th. I think I'm slightly above. I mean, I guess that's how you can ask for. You're right. I did. I had AH, Bad first week of the streets. Uh, which I don't know what it is with me. I usually have bad starts, but It's you know, outside of Thursday night, they have rolled along. I mean, I think I've had four winning nights out of five this week, so starting to figure things out a little bit, But, you know, assumes you think you got everything. Starting to figure it out. You going for like it did last time, Casey and you know what irritates me is that I'd say for the first before the last five early games that I played because now you're gonna have matinee games, sometimes starting around noon Pacific even during the weekdays with whatever that A really game is, it seems like I'm winning that game at some point, Then I end up losing that game. And you hate that. Because then you're just playing catch up the rest of the day. It's always always important to try and get that first. W It almost makes me you know, sometimes feel like, all right. I'm not playing in early game, but it doesn't matter. You're still gonna have that first game. But you know, sometimes you're better off if you have three or four games going at the same time that you don't have to just You know, Cuts one game out for two hours as it's moving on. Super Bowl. You're on Tampa Bay or you're on Kansas City. Eileen Kansas City, Not nothing big, but I lean on the cheeks. Okay, So you're leaning on the chief's fez Got me on Tampa Plus 3.5. So no one knowing you I know you're only lay in three. The Britt Reid. Our action today. How much focus does that take away from Andy Reid again? It's his son. He's already had one son died of a heroin overdose. He's got three boys and two girls. But I mean, this is this is the day that you're supposed to be getting ready to travel there, leaving tomorrow for telling me. I got to say that this has got to. It's got affect not only Andy Reid, but the players as well because Readers. They're outside linebackers coach and more than likely he's not making the trip. This is you know, this is something that I don't know I again it's not. I don't think it affects the players on the field, but the overall mindset for them.

"Rick till things. There's a direct correlation between dogs enlightening a lot of weird things. Welcome back to the show the with you or wait. Non some guests and we will bring in guest. Why don't we get them one. Eight hundred eight seven eight play. One eight hundred seven eight seven five two nine every time the super bowl rolls around these lists of greatest super bowl players ever this and that and the other and Speaking of the other. Cbs sports put together a list of the greatest team. Offense defense special teams all time based on super bowl performance. So what did i do. I went right over to the outside linebackers. And i looked and there are four outside linebackers. None of them. None of them is the guy who should be there and If you think about how many interceptions a i can get in a super bowl a. rod martin in super bowl. Fifteen which i attended in new orleans had three interceptions in that game rancho ski and outside linebacker mike get one in his career three by the way he wasn't. Mvp in that game he was not. It was plunkett which was stupid. But they're outside. Backers are lawrence taylor. Okay charles haley okay. And then von miller and jack ham von miller had a great super bowl. Fifty jack ham played a lot of super bowl. But it's ridiculous if you blaze base it on career okay. Maybe not rod martin but even he can't even get on this list and they even have a practice squad and they have to other linebackers on the practice squad. Willie lanier and chuck cowley. It's crazy all right joining us on the show right now are quite happy to have them actors. Ed westwick and louise lynton. They're here to talk about the new movie me. Thomas and james buckley because i'm such a big inbetween fan actually took the tube to rice. Lake one time just to look at their school. So what was it like to work with such a fantastic cast had their you know what man i loved so much that you know. It felt like that was a massive education in comedy goarmy Chains enjoyed off. Just interesting. don't even have to say anything and you crack up. You know that of guy. I'm that timing is just one hundred percent natural talent And meet out something black on you and i really had to absorb that i could from those guys so It was an absolute Gift of apart it was incredible. And you know they took me and we liked it all because it'll be down. The in between damon is creating direct to a bunch is You know as. I say you know they kind of hype. That shorthand experience they come up. That had them working together previously. So many years and incomes incomes this new guide me and You know my character essentially insulting them every second so They welcomed me with open on medication and get the new symbol. I know you're from stephen itch. And i spent a lot of time in hopkinton and in surrounding areas and amil hempstead in saint albans and and even in hitchin Growing up in hearts l. at. It's a it's a great little area isn't it Yeah i mean it has it has. It's really good. Good bits and you have these questions. Clinton told pets you know. I had a great childhood. And i go back and Family and friends and stocks. I place the country show. That's making me you've been. Yeah no. I love it and louise for you. Let's talk a little bit about me. You madness because the plot is I'm already in and the plot. Because i've never i've never somebody things in hollywood or just cookie cutter. I've never heard of a movie like this before i call it a farcical. Anti flaw it. It it it crosses genres mostly a comedy. But it's go little elements of of romantic comedy and occasional thriller elements and it's called stunts and action and Dunk sequences It's a it's a medley in pottery of movie funny. And i think about you know going from talk about strength. Strength is ed was talking about. What was the bit that was easy for you. I mean dare. I say it was the acting. And what was the part that that maybe it was the most difficult that you needed help.

"But it wasn't that important to you. It was more important for you to obviously, you know, have the career you've had. And obviously, your your your heritage and what you've meant to You know, two Latino Americans. To me. That seemed to be a lot more important than you getting into the Hall of Fame. Was that just reading that wrong Or is that how you look at it? Well, that was important. Yeah, they all famous so hard to get into. You know, I didn't And I knew that that was gonna be an issue and but you know, what do you make your mark? You make your mark. Would you know what you're doing it and I was told this I've done as much as I could, um, on my profession. I'm very proud of what I did. If I make the whole thing, find it by doing that, still playing because I did what I did. I did what I had to do, and it was fun. Coach. You sound great. Um, you know, I want to ask you about about Super Bowl 15 against the Eagles your first Super Bowl. And what a team. I mean, Rod Martin. And and, um Kenny King had a huge day that day. And there's all the talk about Matuzak in the French Quarter that week. What was what was that week? What was your recollections of being in New Orleans for Super Bowl 15 a game that you guys beat the Eagles in Well, it was It was a fun time. You know, we had way had gone there because we were the wild card. And so we were heavy, heavy underdogs throughout the entire playoffs. Going in as a wild card and having to play on the road. Cleveland was one of the big favorites that time then San Diego was the big favorite Houston. S o. We way had to play them all and way had to a play in 39 below. Chill factor Were you on that one Run, No little fairy stuff. Way too cold and way too young to remember Rod was not being able to get out of the way way you guys I wish I wish we still had the footage on that one. Rod went flying boy he took. Nobody needs to hear about that. He's asking you about your Super Bowl child. And you want to bring that You want to bring me up being in in the way and being rushed. Shouldn't have been. Thanks, Coach. Good anyway, that was That was a fun year because we resurrect and Plunkett We struggle earned a year and we just You know, we did it the hard way. Andre. I thought that was our finest hour be because how we did. Rod Barnes had three interceptions in in game and Even though Jim Puckett was the M V P Rod bar should have been a Cohen VP. Sure, it was just an amateur, Zach well Ever told him. I said, gone as a job. You're you're 67 £315, and you expect to go through Wall Street without Meteo Bourbon Street without being Noticed. And he looked at me very seriously as coaches. I was just out. Making sure that everybody else was in e Get get your but it I mean, that was the end of it was that was the only infraction that I caught that week. Notice. Tell you that I got absolutely exactly Coach. I would say this. How what? The Hall of Fame Year on a beer can write Nobody in the hall of Fame on beer cans. You've made it. You made it past the Hall of Fame. But being on that beer can. That's my Hall of fame. So I I I I just wanted to say that, but what I wanted to ask you was, Did you feel the weight? Of the Latinos and how they wanted you to succeed, and they shared in your success is a player and as a coach and you win the Super Bowl, did you? Did you feel that while you were why your coaching that not in the game, But did you feel the pride that they had in your accomplishments as well? Oh, yeah, You can feel that You could feel it. Whenever you went into a Latino area during the off season. When you you could feel it when you walk through the parking lot at at the Coliseum and saw the tailgate parties and all the Latinas. Hispanics. There were in tail get in there, cooking up a storm and and the love that they shared or the team and for me as well, and they were just they were just great. And there still are to this day they've never for gotten And that's the thing you love about him. The radio fans are forever. They're never They never forget what you've done, and they never will there forever. And you're my It's like you're my player. You're my team. Don't everybody else come in here and criticize. You Weigh loves you? Yeah, our friend and yours. Quite frankly. Tom Flores. Nice enough to join us here on the Tolbert, Kruger and Brooke show. I know we're all looking forward to watching the 30 for 30 documentary on Al Davis versus the NFL. It's going to be on ESPN tomorrow. I'm curious if they if they picked your brain if they interviewed you for it. And what can you tell us? Because I'm a bread as a kid hearing that out, Davis Didn't get along with the commissioner of the NFL, Pete Rozelle. To me. That was just like that's the most unbelievable thing I've ever heard. And and what was the trophy ceremony going to be like it? It turned out to be, you know, did nothing. It was hyped up. But how much can you tell us about that acrimonious relationship? How real, was it? Well, it was a real job point out of your bill. Double a bit more than there was meant to be, But still it was they were. They were at each other quite a bit, because Rose, l had to back the owners in that that point, the owners Did not want anybody to move Pete was responsible for for delivering that message. And, uh, it was a controlled type of thing. And then actually, after Al moved and got away with it, and they showed How much that would be improved with Ben Worth of the franchises that wholesome ended like him after that event under there. But, uh But he was remember, the president asked me a lot before the game. What do you How do you think is gonna happen if you by some miracle, win the game? Uh, You know what will Roselle give the trophy to hell or handed to hell? I said I should listen. Let me tell you. L Davis loves this game sport. This one ballgame loves this league. He loves it. As much of Pete Rozelle loves this league, neither one of whatever do anything damage the this game or take away? Anything that goes with winning? Super Bowl crown. Neither one they'll respect it, and, you know they looked at me and I think they really wanted sometimes sometimes demonstration, but turn now. It was an Albert for specially I'll got his few little digs a little bit, but not much, and, uh, went on their way. I mean, it was. It was a wonderful day for us anyway. Coach, You know, I don't know if people know this, But you and Mike Ditka are the only two people in the history of the NFL to win a Super Bowl is a player to do it as an assistant coach and to do it as a head coach. Um, you played it So, Yeah. I mean, you were a player back in Super Bowl four for the chief's big win over the Vikings that day. I mean, are you when you think about what this game has become each year, do you think about The origins of the game. And what was it like in Super Bowl four compared to the magnitude that this game has become today? Well, Super Bowl for principle or what? They just take it for $15. Please think about it Last year, there were over there $242,504,000 last year or something like that. But anyway, it was You know that we were still everybody, not everybody, but it was the NFL and they're real stunt your fans on that side of the ball. They felt that Super Bowl three was was kind of a mistake should never happened, right? And, uh, but yet the just one. So when we did, and we want convincingly, I mean it was in close. Uh then. Also when we put the dot On little only I and said, OK, the air fellas here there, fellas equal and that's proof right there, And we're very proud of that. That was the last year of the NFL and as it existed, then And then the merger came. And since that day, we've proven that that that was that was one moment in time. That changed. The entire complexion of professional football and made it his biggest of this today. I think no doubt Coach. What was the best thing about working for Al? What was the toughest thing about working for our Well, The best thing was working for him and the best and the worst thing is working for him..

"Love it for this part because of the young demographic if you didn't see the hoops NBA in the eighties and nineties you gotta you gotta be a a taste of it last night with the the pistons the bulls finally vanquish the pistons I like three and four much better start role here he did yeah I I didn't I I well here's what I would say because of you know hello younger and I've grown up watching the beautiful basketball that the warriors play with staff and play in you know drive on brought a little toughness as well it wasn't all beautiful invoking it lay out I mean it was physicality but it was so highly skilled and before that would soon and Tony did in thirteen fourteen to beautiful ball movement and everything this episode I I you know I I enjoy all of it because that is the kind of flash back you know go back in time in fact I think they had one of my calls on when Michael dumped over Ben McDonald I believe that was me but I mean it was interesting the robin part of it and and Janice you know when he was a prisoner of the younger players a much better all around player defender just overall player with the bulls she was more mature energy guy just to run around guy and he would get Mrs but and then reloaded to Michael that was his effort there he was obviously an impactful player but I you know just a yeah I'd I'd forgotten about Madonna what I think of Madonna was former athletes I think of Jose Conseco and the I had a lot of the New York Post today the bad girl when she was sick of nerds Jose was sneak it out of there her place but I've forgotten about Rodman and Madonna may not Carmen Electra I remember that well and I gotta say Carmen looks as beautiful if not more beautiful now when she was younger she was just so sexy right now she's just a beautiful beautiful woman she's close to fifty years of age but all that being said I I think the Detroit Pistons were bad for basketball I'm not talking about Dave baying and Bob Lanier in that group I'm talking about is there thought this anime there were a lot like the the nineteen seventies Philadelphia flyers the Broad Street bullies that changed hockey and you know luckily after they won back to back Montreal was able to beat them and get back to scale and Gretzky and their run of the islanders and was more skill islanders are tough team but the Philadelphia flyers had some skilled players but they just beat the living crap idea and that's all they want and the Detroit Pistons they had Isaiah the best player on that team was Joe Dumars playing both ends of the floor negativity off the bench many Johnson the microwave but the guys on the front line Laimbeer Jewish credit was probably the first pick in five five and he could make a shot from outside but whatever he lacked in skill and foot speed make up by just missed pummeling you the Jordan rules were to knock Jordan adage **** as Brenda Malone who I know years ago sure accuse the longtime coach in the father Michael Malone said so to me it was a lot about you know the animosity between Michael and I say and that goes back to Michael's rookie year they wouldn't pass Michael Jordan the ball in the all star game in Isaiah let this thing to boycott Jordan because Jordan was put a clearly come in and take over the league so I am I I enjoyed all of it I enjoyed parts one and two more last night was a little too much robin but overall it was just too much bad boys which I think really was bad for basketball and then the next one Riley left show time went to the next he tried to do the same thing it is beat everybody up luckily John Starks went two for eight shooting game seven allies want one but when I look back on it I I I am not impressed with that jazz style of basketball where you know speed and quickness did not rule the day it was if you're quicker than me and better than may I missed a lay you out on the ground and we're going to turn into a street fight and that's the reason I try I was able to win those back to back titles what is the relevance of it was in the off season Jordan gets bigger and stronger and I mean you could see and he was so light from his days at Carolina he was so light you know and then all the sudden victory came in and he decided okay I've got it I got to do some different things in it the evolution of what Scotty Pippen turned into because again they they would get in your head I mean in in ninety seven ninety eight covering that finals Karl Malone is a great player but Dennis Rodman got his head he messed with them and and did a lot of things mentally they just got him off his game and that they don't show up in a box score and so you know he was fascinating in the fact that he was running back and forth from Vegas and nobody knew where he ever was like I said I was assigned to the bulls those years and I never saw robin and issued around once not one time and it was eager to do a shoot around right nothing right with the ball grab the ball you know grab some rebounds but it only was always at a point of contention he wasn't even required to be there I mean the shootaround is really put a game plan right but but you know what they just need here's here's what Dennis just knew we had to do you know if your sock in the finals right it was a Friday and the finals are different because they do a lot of that I can do that for the open media the good right at but he wasn't there at any of it I mean I I never saw him at a at a shootaround not accepted rules for him they have separate rules for him in the house have a common electricity and it has a forty eight hour rule extended he and Michael led to fly to Vegas anyone in the room and there's Carmen Electra hiding under the sheets from Jordan and Jordan had a full ride invited one of his earrings and full yet so you come back to practice I meant and that was the amazing thing you told the story of them having to run and that the you know Dennis in that that was the story back then too is some people are like this you know I've talked about this he he could party all night long and then you come back it was still one of the best conditioned athletes and he just he could be mentally prepared but he just needed those breaks it was it was crazy but the the thing the thing about let beer that was interesting so when I was in Detroit he was the coach of the W. NBA team and so we carry those games and we had him on weekly and we would spend three quarters of the time talk about the pistons and then we say how's the team going but bill Laimbeer indeed this is what it took for for those teams I I don't think you can fake this stuff he was a nasty and is a nasty man he just is I was at a fundraiser off the court I thought it was a nice guy office for well it's wonderful to see you he was both very blunt he's not one of those blunt man I've ever talked to in my life and I remember doing a fundraiser for the pistons in the horn was that they were celebrating that team and they were all there and I was emceeing the event and I remember a kid their kids walking around and bill was telling the story in the middle the story this kid was probably ten years old kind of cut him off and and ask for an autograph and bill Smith the guy when I done I mean he just he was just that way that was just him I I maybe not nasty is the the right correct word but he was just very blunt and honest and he just you know he he's obviously celebrated there but my point in saying that is is is it not it took someone who was that way to be that way this wasn't a fake thing for him number horn was actually a really nice guy but but lan bir who kind of lead that whole thing he was not a nice guy and he was that way off the court he was on the on the off the court on the court he was arrogant he was blind it was embarrassing at times but that's just that's who he was he still that well aligned about lame B. I was called M. Laimbeer because yeah I just I didn't like the way he played I think he was a more skilled big then history gives him credit sure he can he could make a a top of the key standstill jump shot he could but he or wherever he lacked and foot speed he just made up by hammering you were knocking it to the ground and most horn you know he and Jeff rule and Nick felt and make nasty as right Johnny most called and they were you know they were the original brews brothers I just the way they play and then you had Sally to that group and you know it's interesting that a lot of these guys went over to join Chicago when Chicago got on the run but Laimbeer came from money that when the line was she was the only guy in the NBA they had to take a pay cut to play in the league his dad made more money writing cycle it was the same way so we always had this privileged golden spoon kind of way about him worry I don't know how well liked her just like she was among NBA players guys that a deal was a bit like but I don't I think he was well liked and is team because he was you know one of those kind of guys but I just didn't like the way they played in a lot of it was Chuck Daly and you know al Davis love the pistons you know when they went play the Lakers and I say a twisted his ankle you know he would bring a man I remember the raider medical people rod Martin those guys worked on I say his ankle and he was tight with those guys he was running for the pistons to beat the Lakers and a lot like the pistons were like the raiders of the seventies but basketball I don't know it's just like the Philadelphia flyers I think of the seventy set back the NHL for for years and luckily we got into Montreal on their run the islanders and other great lawn and we got two more scale and Michael changed it because he was the ultimate skilled player it's just you know when a guy is so much more skilled in the other player and the player wins by violating the rule book and the fact that we have six files and we're going to beat the living crap out of you and I got it really did change the rules I mean if you look at it in the nineties they want a little more of a hand check we weren't allowed to do that as much and then in the mid two thousands they change the rules again but I I just don't know I mean you can't write the history of basketball without talking about the bad boy pistons but I think when I look back on it it was the one to me black guy that the NBA had when this team was able to win two championships and they did it with less scale and more just we're gonna beat the living crap out of you I say it was a skilled player to Mars could do both but most of the guys were on the floor to be hatchet man which was more of a hockey thing at the time in Lunda sponsored by redwood credit union you can make from home or on the go with twenty four seven secure mobile and online banking from redwood credit you.

"You know your your signature it was it was a good passer I like the passing game and they live with me right now that the the other folders almost oppressively maybe a little too much because as we look back at Super Bowl Levin the first one the one where you're an assistant I was it that was a fun team and they're a lot of solid players but again working with the wide receivers tell me a little bit about coaching the great Fred Biletnikoff well you know pretty soon I was coaching but it is by that time I was when I started coaching the wide receivers and tight ends and then I ended up in the quarterback's after a couple years and so I would be with the quarterbacks in and then we would all meet up one night a week with John and command obviously and but I prefer the political his first pass of the roof you know the quarterback I first pass first catch you grow up first initial first drugs they gonna get first drop in there yeah for sure what any other did he was trouble catching the ball the longer route you know the commander this is Sherin and he was sure and as can be and he had great hands and but he had trouble catching the ball it was a matter of both well of the game is speeding up we'll bet and the U. adjusted to that game sold that I I played with them news personality I knew how competitive he was mostly it was a game day growing up every day every game they played in the locker room for the game we all do that the end up so when I took over as it was when I came back it was just a coach minutely was afraid so I coached a with a little ludicrously because we're friends but also knowing that I couldn't play favored with them the user number one receiver but still at the end of the guys worry about about a year after the clipper chip in the rookie so in nineteen seventy two we actually have two rookies and Brett Mike Sierra number one draft choice would be really a good player and and Fred and cliff branch with the root yeah the if the club branch about three years before it it is based on a one to catch the ball because he he was he never had the problem with clipboards that he would get sold but because of his speed quickness and when he dropped the ball is in wide open read was quick but not great speed but he was quick and then got opened and made a tough catch it all the time so you know you watch them grow up Mike's got a group marks on it was a good receiver Delhi towards Achilles the action of corporate at one point and when we did finally go with three wide receivers we had she had a branch in the infrared a lot of points because of stable of that kind of that kind of system that I used to be that way no doubt about it I was a a fun team final score thirty two to fourteen in front of a hundred and three thousand four hundred thirty eight let's turn our attention to Super Bowl fifteen as the raiders become the first wild card to win a Super Bowl and that's the one I was referring to earlier is the raiders take out the Philadelphia Eagles in a lot of folks thought the eagles are gonna take care of business you're working company they look very solid getting to the plastic for meal at this team just meshing look like great chemistry there and people are like the raiders made it you know but no no no wildcard he's going to beat this great eagles team but man you guys had some form Jim Plunkett of course the M. V. P. game that where the raiders really took care of business in all in stock we a little bit about that game and and the let the little pass to Kenny king that I I really think the that got the offense going to really gave Plunkett a lot of confidence throughout the rest of the game and then rod Martin just came up bigger than big three interceptions don't know how he was in the MVP of the game I know Plunkett played a solid game but man nobody is ever duplicated what rod Martin did three interceptions in the same game and being in the Super Bowl so maybe they had other times before I remember when the colts and cowboys played in the Jim o'brien game that they actually split the the MVPs are Chuck Kelly on the losing cowboys actually was it was a cold windy P. so I don't understand how you couldn't have co MVPs with Jim Plunkett and rod Martin for that game but again other things it kind of irked me a little bit about the history of the NFL but talk to me about that big game and how the raiders got that sixteen that there or I'm sorry they got that forty nothing lead early on in that game and let a fourteen nothing and went on to a twenty seven ten route of Philadelphia in Super Bowl fifty well I agree with you on the on the delivery of a pre I think Rothbard the cold water of that award because nobody at that ever done it before since you can't play a better game of the library but he did an oral defense it in is pushing it back yeah that's the Superbowl for crying out loud but we that we keep quiet for the earlier that year and it beat us and they're very tight game in Philadelphia yeah in that game I think we had eight or nine sacks we we just could not protect here may be a bit players they play as well that we tried to play a little bit you know we're trying to play them we are strategically supported strains that we could run the ball pretty good against American football they're well coached but the real victims of a marvelous job worries them so we had we had a good feel for what we know what they were what they did we know how they did it we did the trick if electric use old ma'am principal so you know we we designed a game plan reporter strains against their will they're experiencing that we could beat them and worker we find their weaknesses the we did it we we record pretty full flawless game we we we dominated we had of a block of a field goal attempt to block PTO template the window you had the you know Jim was able on that play the Kitty king it was able to scramble and by cemex retirement it was a broken play actually came at just one little flat the end result but as soon as he saw him scrambling it would be difficult for current in address to try to find local split up the field and he did he got it right over the Jennifer we're bigger tips caught the ball then went eighty yards for dish and that was a backbreaker that one in the fact that we would but we plug the PT on their first score then they were able to move the ball yes is consistently a little and then like you said rod Martin three years actually stopped across that stock that's that's a game killer interceptions so we we played that well we played better than well then that we had peaked as the season went all out of the wild card team goes up to block a video start this season as a starter corporate debt press read it in a broken leg and what what Jim sort of weird to read thank so it doesn't it was my second year as head coach the first whole whim as a head coach and I thought that was our finest hour because we did it the hard way with the with the you know about three and a beta of the frontrunner and beetle or card ever to go to Cleveland B. Cleveland thirty day below chill factored in and then finish up going to San Diego they had a great offense we couldn't stop our offense both bell scored let's go back to that you you mentioned the Cleveland game because I remember watching and thinking of the raiders are done and they're they're they're down Cleveland's gonna score here and lo and behold Brian Sipe I believe trying to throw the ball away in our good pal Mike Davis right place right time yeah those you know that that we came in there and it was it was going to be cold and all week long we heard the other said about all of their company the call whether the company the writers retreat all righty the call was going to affect us in there and it it's going to affect the president crap too is well we have played the week before in New York and cold conditions not as cold as thirty nine below Joel Parker but cold and so we already got that Cleveland we got it we got it the archives we practiced outside where they practice inside our guys were big snowball snowball the rest of his global psychics they were having a good day for California legal seized over out of the race they were having a good day okay children it started to get back to call us in the loop so with the game was up before the game we were to tip it all into one of the one of the group the decisions that I had to break was we had the choice at halftime would it take to receive the ball or not and that is so what we care about our anti white chose to develop a goal I did not want to be glory towards a lakeside replied to that side of the field going to be frozen and it could be the game also died it could be you know that could be the decision maker there at the at one of the local service desk we walked one killed a buffalo there is Google as they were going that way and it with little incentive particular article the infamous red right eighty eight what eventually people will realize that's the way they're one vehicle here at the Gold Coast Guard accuses data for a great season it wouldn't give like that and so what about your let's get a little closer because it but that's about it if your Google them and that's why I called a play in of all people to the intercept the ball but the defensive back probably with the war there were stairs of the team Mike Davis the with the tough guy and he could cover but he is you could catch a ball while I bring the ball rolls it but I would like all of the billion dollar kids ability to clear the older section that was you talk about dramatic though the great British you talk about a crowd where you could hear a pin drop because they knew they were there and then okay let's just get a little closer make sure make it an extra point type feel Gaul and lo and behold just trying to throw it away.

Williams with Matt Millen Matt Millen okay let me ask you under there at some context here Steve young joined us earlier this week and Tom as Steve because real quick hitter questions and one of the quick hitter questions was what's the funniest thing you've ever heard on a football field and Steve young former correctly guys immediately started laughing and said it was his first game as a niner they were playing the raiders in the preseason and it comes out gets behind centre in years Matt Millen on the other side and Matt Millen screams Mormon in the backfield Mormon in the backfield apparently Matt Millen fifty felt everybody to be warned about Steve showed its religious affiliation we have Matt Millen's reaction to Steve Kerr or Steve young pardon me given us that give it a sad story well I remember that well even I used to laugh about that all the time you know what sometimes you just have to laugh okay some times you just a good laugh just kind of breaks everything so we're in the middle who came and Steve comes at and so I'm going to my Jackson might give information I'm given the desert checks off of defense and then I read at the end of a go check check check Mormon in the backfield did and I hear rod Martin you know ride by guide rod Martin over a note to my right over here and he starts laughing so I expect that nobody got it so I said it again Hey check in the backfield so speed starts laughing it's so late we went to the play came back not get in the huddle and how he was like what the hell you because.

"Millen he's out mia is probably out in the was at a shed to what she said yeah on the shed so well you're gonna love saga on yeah we will get a hold of Matt Millen shortly will place in that step for you have been watching some of it during the breaks of Rachael Bhama jump done that's when you know you have some power Hey it's Barack Obama joining us in the dark what a power job that one is back the document knows who I'm talking about nothing about Julius Erving only one doctor in the country right now so anyway they've got that going on in place of the clips which were the best stuff but it is time for a Matt Millen one of our favorites we finally connected up with them and holder tells me that Steve young was on yesterday with its over Kroger and Brooks and then they talk a little bit about Matt mills who and have met here and then we'll bring on Matt Millen here's what the Steve said but let me ask you if you remember he said his funniest moment was lining up opposite Matt Millen we played for the raiders and Matt Millen yelling Mormon in the backfield do you remember that remotely that's the only way to remember I just joined the team member I was in Tampa Bay and I was just like wall this is bad I might just go to law school I made to have all your Mormon in the backfield alert alert I looked at him like this is this is the way it's gonna be this is a great well I got PTSD this is awesome let me ask you if you remember he hi Matt but I remember that well see what I used to laugh about that all the time warm and that's the great great great grandson of bring up young sure they'll decide you know what sometimes you just have to laugh okay some times you just a good laugh just kind of breaks everything so we're in the middle so James and Steve comes at and you know and said it was I think was a preseason game I only remember but anyway Steve comes in and so I'm going to my jacket I'm like give information I'm given you know the desert checks off of defense and then I read at the end of the go check check check Mormon in the backfield good luck to you and I hear rod Martin you know ride by guy rod Martin over a note to my right over here and he starts laughing so I expect that nobody got it so I said it again Hey check warming in the backfield so the speed starts laughing it's so late we went to the play came back got back in the huddle and how he was like what the hell you awesome man how are you sometimes you don't know you guys god help the it sounds like your household is crazy and great now crazy is good I guess how you doing how is your health no I'm doing I'm doing well I'm didn't start until much stronger my insurance is much better it's a lot easier for me to walk in you know like I haven't ran a couple times to personally back but other I'm doing fine right now it's just a weird time so I got a lot of shops die man man I you guys need anything I'm I'm looking for someone to make again it's a good idea to make masks in their all of them yeah and so the world is spending you know it's just recite things we haven't ever experienced before we're experiencing and four weeks from today Matt they are going to conduct the NFL draft and I think the league is rather adamant that they want the strap to go on you know I I don't know if it's going to be in the studios in mount laurel NFL films and I fell network or how they're going to do it but it's going to go on but check the television television production out of it you know you ran the draft Roma Troy is the president of the chain and the number one football decision maker while you were there so how would you say you say you were asked to do this where everybody was in a different room and maybe even their own homes how many people would you have to have a media communication access to to conduct a draft how are they going to do this for weeks from the day when quite possibly everybody's going to have to do it from their own home yeah so that's doable and so the with the technology we have today with you know some of these things they have like zoom in those type of things the bigger thing is going to be you know just ten and you can do it it's you have to get everybody all on the same page the biggest problem pop isn't isn't that that particular day it's all the work that needs to have that been happening now all of your scouts getting together all the reports getting put together you know everybody so everybody's trying to do that now it it's doable it's just a lot more work now keep in mind you know thirty five thirty five forty years ago they they don't have access to all those things we didn't have television doing everything and they still got it done so it's doable it just in you know it's just a little bit more work we're talking to Matt Millen pop in line here on the sports leader it what we're talking about two is on draft day the draft room so they're saying all the facilities are closed the talk about potentially ball rooms in hotels how many people do you absolutely need in a drafter of so you need your scouts and so okay if you if you talk about do you absolutely need I would say I would want my I need my scouts there I need my head of scouting I need you need the GM and their assistant.

"Right. I mean this team looks good. And sure enough they go out they beat them as the four seed, and then they go on to win the whole title, and when they want and I just called my dad up. I was watching this go. Of deserve to be there. Now, don't they? Yeah. That was impressive. I mean, that's the whole thing because you feel for TCU and Gary Patterson, but then when Ohio State gets in and they find a way to win it all and take out the number one team in the process was pretty impressive guarantee. My dad's cracking up right now at school. I can't wait to meet him next can be cool because I'm friends with a lot of the old school raiders cliff branch, Fred Belinda, cough. I actually did a Super Bowl party with ready now, the one jersey guy Filipino fills actually in Connecticut goes back and forth to Jersey's actually down the jersey shore about two weeks ago. I was talking to him. He was there. I think one of his kids lives down the jersey shore. But Phil's initially from the brick town area over there in ocean county, so he's a jersey boy, but cliff branch you see rod Martin who. Of course. I know you're you're you're young though, do you know who rod Martin is for the raiders the name rings a bell. Okay. It should if you know your Super Bowl history. Rod Morton is the only guy in Super Bowl history with three count them three interceptions. In one game. Intercepted your C three times. Times in the raiders win in nineteen eighty over the Philadelphia Eagles back when jaws and the eagles, and they all thought they had it. But somehow that raiders stick was alive and well back then now the cool thing is that. And I don't know if you knew this did you Davis Mark Davis had? Betrayed Mark on Las Vegas raiders back in nineteen ninety nine. I did not. But I fully believe that the instant that the news broke. It was official raiders come to Vegas. My only thought was Al Davis is dancing in his grave right now. Because this is the most Aldea this move in the history of the Oakland Raiders. And my dad even though he was jets, and I'm I don't know if your dad ever shared.

"Number two as we roll on through eight to ten through Friday on the flame thrower AM side. Seven twenty one one five on the FM. Thanks to the legend j t the brick joining us here in studio. Love JT, we're really going to get into silver and black state stuff. I mean, again, the raiders coming here two thousand twenty eight years go, by the way with them going back to Oakland gives us a chance to cash again on Oakland final home game in in Oakland. Like we did last year with the Denver was it the second last Monday night game. A believe was yes. All over again, this one I be anti-climactic because if they signed a two year deal, and then people be like, well, maybe they're coming back next year. Now, we know there have you had Tommy on. I'm trying to get Tom. If you're out there come on. I know you're busy. But for the love of God, we need you in studio. Tommy white labors union, eight seventy two to head honcho guys busier than busy, but we will have him here. And he comes in here wearing his his raider. I mean, the guy looks like he would be part of the raider organization. I mean, he's just got everything. Align back then. And you know, it's funny is when his niece net. Tommy, of course, doing that. Charity event over there in Roseville, California. And then getting all these pictures developed and GT debris talking about some of the iconic black hole fans and friends with the bud grim raider and violator my buddy, Wayne may Brienne Nicaragua. And all these folks that were out there for this charity golf tournament for high school football, blunt brain trauma, and a bunch of the rate of villapiano andbranch in bullet, neca while Belinda cough was his wife showed up because he was he had another obligation. Rod Martin was there and a Plunkett lamonica and telling you, Daryl, Monica shakes your hand. It's still like a bear. But when I'm developing the pictures at Walgreens, and that's when this young lady when I'm picking them up, and she says, I saw a lot of your raider pictures. She says, you know, you probably know my uncle, and I said who's your and she's like Tommy white, and I'm thinking of going dang. It sounds like a linebacker Mant. I'm trying I swear to God, Andy I'm going like, but my dad had wackos ADA since he passed away. Resonates more with me now, we're lucky if you don't know just say, you don't know don't act like, you know, everything I go. You know? I can't remember, you know, when he played I so I I don't know. I don't mean to be ignorant. She said, no, no, no he didn't play. He's in charge of the eight seventy two labors union. He's in charge of building raiders stadium. So it's like, oh, really? It's so cool. I go. Well, here's my card. My radio show said I'd love to get him on the show sometime if you ever had literally like a day and a half later Tommy white calls, and you know, just left a message. I call him right back. And I'm like, hey, love to get you on the show, you know, the whole process and everyday greatest guy just loved him and eight seventy two labors unions been a sponsor sports X radio, you know, ever since pretty much. I mean Tommy's that type of guy Andy seventy two labors union to show you the type of organization they're not just about building the stadium and making money. They do a lot of different things. They helped sports X, Michelle. Of course, he's a teacher here grade teacher, the we're trying to raise money on a gofundme page for a trip further third grade class to go to the shark reformer Mandalay bay. Eight seventy two labors union paid for the whole thing. I mean, that's the way that these folks work in the community, and Andy, that's why you and I love Vegas home. And that's the thing that you don't hear about because it's organsations like eight seventy two they don't do it for the publicity. They do it. Because it's a nice thing to do. They're able to do it. And they know how much on the other end it's appreciated. There you go. All right. Real quick before we get with leeann Klein, we're going to talk some college hoops, we're really going to get into the raiders too. And I'm telling you, and like I said this a long time ago, I'm when Shapiro and sharp linear. And of course, they precede me on the Vegas. I told him the collar Murray would be the number one pick. I'm still sticking to that. I think Arizona is going to find a place where there to New England or Jacksonville or somewhere for Rosen to go. We'll wait and see. I don't think there's any other blue chip quarterbacks outside of Cuyler Murray. And the reason I think he's a blue Chipper is because the way the game is changing and because of his ability to get outside the pocket like a Mahomes like Baker Mayfield anti. Yeah. The game. Has clearly changed over the last half dozen years. I mean, it's it's changed gradually. I mean, you go back and remember really quarterbacks in the late seventies. They were all pocket passers with very few exceptions. And then of course, the the game has spit up the players were getting stronger, bigger and faster and the game has evolved. And now you've got to be that dual Wendy recall run pass option when do you recall RPO coming into his six year that ten years ago you had to play? But it didn't. It was not quite as commonplace as this thing. And that's what you're looking for. And. Yeah, I think this this year's quarterback class is not as good as last year's quarterback class at least entering the draft. Who knows who will surprise? And you know, what I haven't heard a lot of will Greer haven't heard his name a lot. There you go. Heisman Trophy candidate before the season started, no doubt about it? The guy's got great touch. Not a guy that's going to take off and run that often. But a similar guy like Derek Carr style. Derek carr. I think needs to get outside the pocket and run a little more. And I think if the raiders hold onto Derek Carr that that's probably where you're going to see from him a little bit more where he's got the speed. He's got ability, but he stands in that pocket sometimes too long and again in aging offensive line in certain spots. Still have Hudson in some of the other guys that are top line. Right. Can you get with leeann? And just a sexually hang tight. Richard badgen. Finley Toyota out-of-town scoreboard, not gonna let you know, if they covered or not you'll figure it out Pacers at home one twenty to one fifteen beat the T wolves one or three Ninety-six magic at home beat the warriors. How about the worst drop in two in a row is the first time all year. I'm not sure it it very well could have been. But certainly that line seemed very very short today about a four point favorite. And there were coming off of that shocking loss last night. So the fact that they were coming off a loss, and they were asking you to lay a little bit off the game either way because I would have liked to have played Orlando. But then all of a sudden Golden State wins by twenty I said, well, you know, what am I thinking of?
