"You know what Alan Sleeping needs nickname oh. I think we could take care of that. Let's brainstorm a little bit before we just blurt one now a nickname he'll do something something on one of those shows that will present to us as a nickname so this is slee was not a catchy name yeah. We'll we'll work on. It's not bad had you also hate. He thinks that shack is the greatest center of all. That's true so you know we call them. Dumbo the the anybody who doesn't think Kareem as the greatest laker center of all time is an idiot the big Dumbo but both he the executive chairman of the Padres is a guy named Ron on Fowler okay okay so he just met with a group of fans at Petco Park Yup and he basically let the entire team have it he he said that Will Myers offense is no good Eric hosmer defenses no word and heads will roll beginning with mine if the team does not begin to have success in twenty twenty and impala Jay's profusely for an embarrassing twenty nineteen in a phone interview later. He said I wasn't spitting fire. I don't run and hide from stuff. It was a terrible year to be forty five and forty five in winning twenty five games after that God forbid it Andy Green. The manager was fired but at the end of the year. I'm one of the guys it's rumored to be in the running for that is Mike. SOCIA- who could go down there but here's the here's my question. They're gonNA pitching do they. I mean they they they. They paid ause Moore paid. Manny Machado paid. We'll meyers today. I'm enough pitching Chris. Paddock is going to be a really big star. Chris Paddock is twenty one years twenty-one. No definitely need that pitch by the way. I don't think social fitted all down. Dr J. Prowler is one of those analytics guys. I mean if if the story line is to be believed that's not something that Mike social loves yeah but he could. He could convince him otherwise. Can we just agree at some point that Mike Sosas done managing your and I was thinking. Would it be eh insanely weird if okay so for five years. Joe Madden was Mike Socialist Bench coach right so oh. Shes a baseball lifer. Would it be weird if their roles reversed member done Zimmer was Joe Tories bench coach. Andy the NFL wants to go back to the angels as a bench coach and May that makes less so here are the here are the odds in Vegas on the next Padre Manager. They will bet on anything Joe Madden plus one fifty and now we know madden is going to the angels right. Yep Mike Socia- plus three hundred Mark Loretta plus four hundred Joe Girardi plus six hundred Ron Washington and plus six hundred then Eric Chavez Rod Barajas and Bruce Bochy Bruce used to be the manager there yeah it'd be interesting if social consider that oh come on he's not going to consider that Joe. Joe happens a lot yeah but I mean I'm Zimmer. Who is the manager of the cubs came out of retirement to be Joe Tores bench coach with the Yankees when they went on that huge run yeah I in a million million years. I don't think that's happening in a million years for does you heard it here. First on speculating speculating wild speculation wild speculation. I'd coming up for you and a couple of minutes is the Sean mcvay show less need. I had had a had an idea. The rams offensive line has been not great really a weak spot as SAM. Monson told US earlier Jared Goff faced thirty pressures yesterday offensive line also had six penalties for five penalties four false starts and a holding call you know Trent Williams of the Redskins is reportedly on the trade bloc. No no not reported the he is. He would be phenomenal as a pickup for the rams. I don't know if they can make it work under the salary cap or what the financial details are but but he would be unbelievable for the rams yeah. I you know I mean that's the that's the one thing that has left tackle now. We're still wait. Worth is right. You'd have have to slide somebody over the right tackle. Somebody would have to play for a year. I think I was at the end of his career or if the story eight now so conceivably for a year ear but the offensive line something that they absolutely need to address it something that I'm sure we'll be talking about which ab long and DEMARCO far coming up next for you okay remember tomorrow. We're only until five leading up to the wildcard game and we're going to fast track at four. We're also going to talk to Johnny Hecker. Right around four o'clock tomorrow all coming up tomorrow Carl Hecker get our gift. Did you confirm it have not confirmed. We send Hecker gift. We'll tell you about it tomorrow all right. "Get the time to go ahead and hit that subscribed but we would appreciate that very much self without any further what do with one week to go. Let's talk about John. playoff chases and managerial upheaval. I guess you have any particular order that you wanNA. Do these end against to me. Those those are the big ones right now. I'm flipping a coin all right Josh. Let's start with a happy one. Which is the playoff races? This is very exciting so let's let's try to be positive this week our we'll we'll go with door number one and and leave the rice aronie behind the for for the next guy. Let's talk about well. You know what I am going to go negative but first. Let's talk about the cubs. Do I still could do something here. They're going to need to win out and the brewers into an four and the nationals go three and five. I guess there would be a three way tied eighty eight seventy four as we are taping this right now but the cubs did it to them belts right I mean they got swept at Wrigley in a four game series by the cardinals for the first time in almost a hundred years the first time the cubs lost five straight one run games since nineteen fifteen. Obviously that is suboptimal not good at all I mean they had lost weekend and and in my mind at least and I can be corrected next week their their season is over. You can't have a series like that playing your rival watching them clinch losing every game all by one run in the manner that they lost look like they may have lost Bryant will see they have some quick healers on the team. We gotta give him credit biased. Cutback in their Rizzo got back in there. They're putting in every effort but it just it's not happening for the cubs. This year been a major major disappointment for them great for the cardinals though give them credit fantastic fantastic series and you're right ninety eight eight years since they've added four-game sweep in Chicago so we'll give them all the credit so until it's officially over I mean and putting it out there at the cubs finish up with three at Pittsburgh and then they go head to head with the cardinals. The brewers are on the road against the reds in the rockies as the exact same gauntlet. The mets just had to get through. It looks like they're gonNA come up. Just a little bit short short nationals have the five home games against the phillies and obviously the phillies didn't help themselves in Cleveland. Losing two out of three so let's go to Milwaukee seems seems to be the most likely team since actually kind of Juggernaut right now anyway. They're fifteen to in September as we tape this and that without Christian Yelich so I it's funny. I don't know if you saw the video. There is a a kid reporter junior reporter that asks rightcounsel the Dugout the other day. How come you don't smile every every time I look in there? You're not smiling like Craig was trying to kind of get there and say yeah you know I'll I'll. I'll try to get to that and smile more yet. It's a good point and then I I don't blame him. He's still extremely nervous about where it goes from here so I guess what I'm trying to say. There's a lot to smile about four Milwaukee but a manager never arrestable day. I think that kid reporter was his daughter Rohan. I believe yeah a good way to get a job but she did a terrific job because that's good question for Craig Counsel. I is an interesting character. I you know the first time I for a couple of times. I saw press conference with him in Milwaukee. I wasn't sure this was the right guy and you know what I think. He is just a very very bright guy and he just wasn't up that day for the press conference for answer whatever I think the guy is a magic savant is doing an incredible job. I've seen other names mentioned and I think Brian Snickers doing a great job ab-absolutely in Atlanta they they've won that division Chilton give him credit the they're gonNA probably win that division put anything past Milwaukee but Creek Council. We'll probably in my mind at least the manager of the year and I do think that is a good question for his more. That's that's a very good question but in trump during the job he's fantastic. They've really kept it together without big name pitchers or really pitchers with really great resumes and you know I gotta give Craig Counsel Credit. He's a fantastic job and Milwaukee's GonNa be in. I declared that on MLB network in the middle of the week looking at that schedule schedule they didn't have a winning team to play and cheer. It's not easy playing at Colorado in Cincinnati. They'll be facing Graham Castio so other got some more hurdles but Milwaukee's GonNa be in. That'll do this any question about them are speaking of hurdles I didn't mean to go here and go negative with managerial upheaval by clint hurdle and the Pittsburgh pirates this does does not look like it's going to end well and GM situation there too you've had a GM and a manager working in concert together for a very long time and that's rare in baseball these days but the way the pirates of just landed with a moist thought here in August and September. Is there any chance that to Outta two of those this guy's Day is one out of two zero two yeah I mean I think in a way they might be joined at the hip certainly manager as more pressure on the GM in the GM gets a little bit more of a benefit doubt in general the one thing I will say I think overall they've done a fine job obviously hurdle did a really good job bob up for a long time there. It's tough to keep clubhouse for more than a decade and they give very long deal. I think that's the one thing that the is really something to keep in mind why we're not assuming that there's a change at the top of the hierarchy in Pittsburgh is that both Neal Huntington the GM and Clint hurdle. We'll have two years to go hurdle rumored to be three million a year Huntington at two million a year. That's a lot of money for the pirates to to eat they. They're not big on UH unheeding money as you may know so I would say that's the one caveat I would suggest could be play otherwise obviously the team team has just stopped playing. They got bigger problems in that clubhouse. They've they've got the big issue with the closer terrible terrible thing that the he's been arrested for Felipe Vasquez. I'm speaking of and he had a fight earlier with kile creek so obviously Velazquez. Ask is not in there anymore. You'll be out of the clubhouse and maybe a little bit of a problem than or big problem has been solved there but they have not played in the last several weeks as it seemed to have quit on them. I felt managerial openings that we know of now before I get to the San Diego situation. it's funny there was a classic World Series Plate not too long ago between Kansas City and San Francisco and now both of those managers are hanging it up and you know some people suggest yes that may be Bruce. BOJI could go home to San Diego. He still lives there in the off season those so many people would be welcome back EMF. That's a possibility in San Diego GEICO. There's other people rumored for that and we'll get to that moment but the news about joost in Kansas City that just had Monday around noon and I'm wondering if you saw that coming if you're surprised by that that he's going to hang it up. No I think that was pretty well expected Kansas City gave him an extra year very appreciative one of the few managers a won a world series and got the two world series in a small market team so give us credit for doing a nice job there. I think this year was the bonus and I think everybody kind of knew this was going to be it. you know that high price long term manager is going to be almost extinct at this point. We're seeing the end of of several very fine careers. I think that Mike Metheny is the most logical choice he was brought in to be a consultant soult for the front office not quite a year ago and he managed in Saint Louis and did a pretty good job overall when suddenly when a lot of games so I think that would be the logical Joyce and I think it'll be surprised if anybody gets it. A Bruce Bochy in San Diego. It's very interesting is in San Diego. Italy was the manager a jailer. GM certainly thinks outside the box. He has not been a against hiring say older people e soon had type scouts that have been there done welke who recently passed away a long time a legendary scouted worked for AJ prowler. you know I'm not not gonNA rule it out or it's wide open. I just going to say about Aj prowler. He may do something outside the box. You never know what he may come up with. I wouldn't be shocked if was botchy. I wouldn't be shocked if it's dusty Baker another guy with a lawn excellent a resume of been a very famous in the bay area area manager. I wouldn't be stunned. There haven't seen him on the list and you know. Aj rollers apt to do anything. I think well and it's funny too because because a guy like noises Salou already is getting a little play in San Diego that's kind of an outside the boxer but somebody who would certainly get along they figure figure with some of the young emerging talent day. He's got ties to to vote. Machado's surly emerged already but also tease is the guy that really gotta make sure blooms and does everything he's ready to to do. In the bay leaves a guy like Phil Nevin you hear about his ties to San Diego Ron Washington. It would be a great teacher for a young team so it'll be fascinating to see what the padres do. I I do want to get back to the wildcard talk if you don't mind here John for just a minute because because what we haven't even hit on the American league and that's the one there's the most fascinating you've got the tiebreaker scenario could be the raise the as could be raising the Indians may be more likely time for the second wildcard could be all three teams in jumble. If you had to right now where few days out resolution who were the two teams going and who's the odd man out. I'll get to in a second of Salou. I think that is probably a favorite. I'm the favourite in San Diego. He's been there. He's fits the mold excellent career. young knows the front office so I think that he's got a real possibility in the interim Rod Barajas. Aj prelate a new in Texas I think he's got a real possibility there as well in terms of the wild card. I'm not going to go away from what I've been saying all along. I think Oakland is going to be in and I think of the other two teams. I never have that face the raise I could be proven wrong. They proved me wrong before. I still think it'll be the Indians that'll get in there. Somehow how Some Way Ramirez looks like he's about to come back a young pitching just like the race do and I'm GonNa. I'M GONNA GO WITH CLEVELAND. All Alexa obviously a coin flip at this point Cleveland so interesting because for a wild is year they are bereft of right handed power which for years was kind of their calling calling card going bags Manny Ramirez Albert Bell and guys like that now they bring in they bring in who is just kind of like a David Ortiz Piper br type of me. Not Old clubhouse seems to really changed for the better and Tampa Bay. Is You mentioned that I know you're eager to to just slam somebody and wagon but when I saw him in person just the other day John me the guy comes out there means throwing gas. He looked great. He struck out seven red sox three beginnings Lake Snell is coming back now to me that still a scary team. Charlie Morton in a one game playoff becomes to a good guy to run out there if your Tampa Bay typically. It's got a lot going for particularly the pitching as we know glass now has been fantastic. You mentioned the velocity. It's the best in baseball among all the starters now won the Asai young last year so I really can't do that at Morton's been a fantastic job..

"So my, my last name was Wehner. And so I would just quickly show it to people, and I would tell them I'm John Wayne her back up catcher for the world champion Florida Marlins IVA that worked out. Well for me. He's, you know what I mean? This gusting. Whatever, what are you talking about? Oh, he's reservations, he is a broadcaster now for the Pittsburgh Pirates. And he was, you know, he was considered someone who was fun. But he would not nothing that resembled swagger was ever and his game because backup catchers in baseball, or not allowed to have swagger did point. And so he well, unless you're Paul Baako. So Bob Natal's. Oh, so we've stumbled upon something. So John Wayne said of Derek Dietrich Daria miles Davis. Paul Bach Derek teacher has seventeen home runs against the pirates. He's got like seven home runs in twenty two at bats. He's Babe Ruth all of a sudden he was on pace to break. Barry Bonds is record for home runs per at bat there. And he because he's been pimping out the trots John Wayne, who didn't hit many home runs. Said that Derek Dietrich's grandfather would be rolling over in his grave, if he saw the amount of enjoyment that Derek Dietrich was getting out of hitting his home runs. And I'm just curious as someone who's a baseball fan and you can be anti-fun. I'm curious what you think of what's happening here. No, I, I mean, I think look those guys, especially the guys who aren't gonna hit forty year. Yeah. You gotta have fun when you hit him. I mean I had no problem and that I mean you can go too far. Maybe you know, if you're starting to point it the pitcher and things like that, but you wanna have some fun with, it have fun with it guys backup catcher hall of fame. Oh, here we go. Oh, yeah. Go. First ballot. I'm going to start the bidding itself Asano. Wow. I got you Greg son. Of course. The seaman. Wow. Eddie perez. Am I going to obscure with Scott decker? No, not at all. Not at all. I think I have on guys Bobby Estela. Oh, jolly. O'brien. Do you hate it? Ross. Hey, rod Barajas. Oh, that's a good one in my allowed to say Ramon, Castro. No, no. Why we went over this in the meeting. No Castro's admires a compliance PowerPoint on it. Didn't stay in miss that, meaning the not how do I guess I mentioned I did are we out of how about Don slot? Am I going back to far funny, man, where to get one? I mean he would mash Don slot had a couple of seasons, but like fifteen to twenty homers, I'm telling you. How about Jorges fabric gas? Good to know him in Miami. Great guy pick up that name drop. No. Or, hey, Fabrica put it on the poll is the hor- a fabric, guests namedrop the worst in the history of all drop names. Hoary fabric guests can really catch now. No, you really couldn't. In miami. And he used to run a clinic for like local catchers, everything from youth up through high school, and college guys and go out and drill them on, like Saturday, mornings, and stuff. He was a great great teacher of that stuff too. Yeah. That's a great name or.

"I'm sure Harris has a helicopter to but it was harassed who landed a helicopter where he had wasn't allowed to land the helicopter. I think of Rubin in the helicopter just because of all the meek mill design, right, right? Right. Right. Yeah. I think they went up to like a patriots game door to to move on to the rest of the NBA. Yeah. Well, you know, the Lakers they really wanted to a a really talented center step out and stretch and shoot play little four little five and they got their man in Mike miss scholar, the Moussa moose chance now. I don't care about any like Tobias Harris might be a real nice player. Bobin looks like a fun, dude. The fact that we got MU scholar out here. I will now. Enjoy Sixers games more. I couldn't take him. Seriously. You're not belong out there, sir. The he had he ended this ability to for guy as unimportant as he was. He really struck a nerve with a lot of people. It'd be like like the equivalent of like like the Phillies backup catcher, really annoying. The whole town of Philadelphia is rod Barajas. Hey. But yeah, he just annoying the hell out of me. I couldn't take him anymore. But in all seriousness, the probably the biggest move biggest name. At least move today was was Mark assault. Probably the only all start actually traded. He him. Go into Toronto was kind of weird to me good. You said, right. I really like them. Like he's really grown into a really good NBA player. I don't I don't know if they're benching hammer, they're benching Baca who was used a load handle Tuesday against Sixers. The only thing I'm thinking of is like they really didn't give up much. So I guess they look at it as well. We're really trading Dhillon ride in a second round pick. Jamal Zara really doesn't play that much just to upgrade the backup center. Maybe that's their thinking. Or maybe maybe they see a particular match up that they can use him for like playoff stuff playoff matchups. Maybe he's a guy they figured that could handle Horford or just another, you know, play seven game series with Embiid. You're gonna have a game where you're centers in foul trouble. So maybe maybe that's the angular coming from is not nearly what he was three years ago or whenever he wanted to fence player of the year, but still very very talented and smart smart disciplined. Good passer. Big, man. Okay. Jodi, I thought the nail on the head with MIR tickets really good fit for the bucks the way, you know, a lot of people trying to the whole surround. A big guy with centers, but there's shooters rather? And that's that's what the bucks do with. He's just another guy to put out there on the table. And maybe if you if Lopez in foul trouble, he kinda similar stuff to Lopez just to a lesser degree. Not not as talented. He's you know, he's a very is a guy, that's you know, in your top eight in rotation and we'll probably get twenty to twenty five minutes. There's a lot of minutes. Yeah. He's he's a good rebounder to pretty smart player. Tough guy, you know, not afraid to bang in the post fight for rebounds and stuff like that. So that was a good trade for them really didn't give up too much either. They gave up Stanley Johnson was a failed lottery picker they got like two days ago and for second round picks seems a little excessive. But the addition emeritus to box does that cancer around any potential movement. Sixers are making up that ladder in the Eastern Conference in in order. Let's say it's Sixers at Harris. Yeah. And the bucks did nothing. Would that bake the Sixers to you more viable to catch him yet? Because I'll answer by saying. The bucks, so bucks. Sixers you look at when you're filling the forty eight minutes out of the game. There's gonna be a spot where the six because their bench the box can just who's opportunity in the game to to make a Ron, and you know, get points that way mirror is going to help strengthen them in that in that regard, whatever spot in a game where both teams are going to their benches. You know, the separation of MIR teach the Mike Scott is is more significant than it would be for whoever. They're I don't even know who their previous backup power forward was so on all out and brand give him a grade on moves of the last forty eight hours. And I know you might go. Well, that's all these moves here. Let's just assume that they are. Yes. I would. Be plus a minus not bad for the first time job gets a lot of credit for getting something faults and not going into the off season with that burden a burden as far as financially. I don't know how he is guy to be honest. But you know that cap it. I guess you would say on paper. He lost the Harris deal. But it was it was a deal you had to do. It's it's too much of an upgrade for your team. Not to do it. The the he picked made it could be sensational acid wash in low called at one of the the best trade assets on the market, and they had to give it up. But you know, Harris's Tobias Harris is like he's quietly a really really elite offensive player for some reason. He doesn't get much play. Well, he's been playing the clippers are good this hold on since I interjected that. That's why. His name is not better known is your chance to his numbers are inflated because he's been playing for teams is taking a lot of shots. Yeah. I don't know if they're like when you look at his rates dots you stole he stole good shooter. He still good rebounders at like forty two percent from three something like that. Yeah. He at imprinting out. But he's like, I think he's like ninety fifth percentile and pick and roll. And in spite of a bunch of other stuff be here tonight. Knows confirmed it, but I don't see any reason. Why wouldn't you know he got traded Tuesday night, which means then it's the Sixers play a good game may become the wire. Sixers win we can fully expect to see Nick staff. The stands. Unless Knicks Knicks ask is price somewhere Wayne in baggage claim saw health been traded. Living at the airport. I could sit he's cute Vendrell. John clark. Clarkston putting them up in his place at the airport. So I we're gonna be right back in a moment or two with the fastest growing game show in the country. Bill matches people are by the way, follow my gauge lean on his Twitter account at Mike Angelina. We'll be right back hockey fans joined greater Fort Lauderdale for.

"Rod Barajas why. Borelli thanks for staying Retirement income fear, eliminating fear and uncertainty a lot. Of people come in they are fearful they are uncertain about their retirement some. People were actually overly confident you have to. Get? Realistic. About this stuff Some people aren't, sure how to determine what their. Retirement nest egg can accurately produce in monthly income they really have not well Well Most of the people that come in to see, me they really don't have what I call an accurate. Plan they really The current advisor saying well gee we're going. To take that four percent. Or five percent or whatever, out of this account and that account. And the market should. Do this market should do, that the market has. Done this so we're going to keep doing this it doesn't always work, as a matter of fact I see it fail so. Many times Don't let that happen to you yeah a lot of people aren't sure again hat to determine what their nest. They can't produce in their monthly income they have not sat down they haven't integrated their pensions IRA's 401K's social security into a projection wealth projection. For life since you have yet to ever withdraw from your, retirement portfolio if you're planning. To you may not have the slightest idea. On where to start to understand, what an acceptable withdraw strategy may be a lot of people don't have a pension anymore and they have to rely on their retirement, dollars of the doing, this, for, over forty years when I first started doing this back in my early twenties most people had a pension I think it was like. Sixty eight percent I don't. Have the exact numbers but, something like sixty eight percent of all. The people I met. With back in one thousand, nine hundred seventy five had a pension Those numbers have really reversed the majority of people no longer have. A pension so not having a pension can be very intimidating because it forces the person to figure out how they're going to get. By on their social security and a withdrawal strategy from the savings that they have you know people used to be able to put money into. Banks while the banks haven't been doing us any favors for, net ten years after we. Del them all out think about that after. You bailed out Wells Fargo when you build out Merrill Lynch and Bank of America and all those guys are they given anything back to the American public know anyway Some people. Are risk averse people who really have a tough, time stomaching market returns often wonder how they're going to make enough money in their retirement accounts to. Keep up with those withdrawals and inflation gonna figure, that into, the picture here during their retirement years a lot of people don't have a. Million dollar saved the media if you go if you watch TV if you go online and you do these calculators they often portray that you need at least a million dollars to think about retiring many. People just, don't have that and just put an idea retirement aside because they don't have that kind of money you don't really need a million dollars if you have a. Wealth projection and. A budget you can gain a lot more certainty and eliminate some.

"Nobody you can there were maybe three guys on this team including the manager who are doing their job and we could get into him in a little bit do cabrera has done his job maybe more so gazelle lugo and degrom probably four guys right there anybody else that's done their job what's expected of them coming into this year right exactly it's been a week a him by the way he's the best catcher they've had in ten years dating back to duca which is a it's a fact go look up the catcher josh tolley rod barajas john buck i mean they have the mets have had a black hole at the catching spot it's nice to see an actual professional in missouri co but nobody pete on this team is doing their job how you supposed to win like that you're not going to and that's the problem there are just too many holes that have been evident on this team over the last couple of weeks you go back to two thousand fifteen i mentioned this before at least that's even capitule year right when they were losing games you could say man if they score four runs they would be really good and then they add kelly johnston wanna rebate michael conforto and you want assessment as in the span of a week daniel murphy comes back for the d l and they have an offense where's that fix you have too many holes you have to go out and get ahead or you have to go out and get a starting pitcher yet to get three guys to save this team it feels like unless so guys like conforto like bruce like matt's start really living up to what they're supposed while i guess that's my point about guys doing their job i'm thinking about it you know watching the game and thinking about what we're gonna talk about during the show and it's really not just based off of today's game obviously it's what we've seen through the first quarter of the season what would you do to make this team better i know everybody will trade this guy and fire this guy and.
