"Sander welcome you in the next three hours with me, and it's on and Have C divisional round edition of the program as we are just underway as we speak not only on the air with you, but also in Kansas City chiefs have had a week off technically two for a couple of guys, including Patrick Mahomes, so we'll see how long it takes them. To ramp things up and get that offense going like we're pretty much used to seeing when they come off by weeks, the pretty impressive in case you're new to the NFL or new to Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid on the flip side. Here is the belief and it starts right here, right this second in Cleveland's standpoint about their defense. If there was any way in which they are going to stay in this football game, they're gonna have to get some pretty big stops. And not having Clyde Edwards a lair, something a lot of us anticipated. Lady on Belle. Or was it Wilson? Right? The kid they have. It doesn't really matter at this point. What goes on More from a Kansas City standpoint, unless it's Cleveland getting to stop and that stop to come anyway. Any possible way, But it's got to happen because if it doesn't Now you're in some seriously. Major hole that it doesn't matter if it's baker Mayfield. Whoever it is, they ain't getting out of it. This is the only way early. And probably, you know not to win the game in the first quarter, but to stop it from getting bad. In the first quarter. So as things progress, I know a lot of people from a betting even fantasy myself included on both fronts. Curious about how this thing plays out, even from a blowout standpoint. If, in fact we get to that area of the game, but Of William's interested what Wilson part of me, but Patrick Mahomes this offense after taking from them a home standpoint two weeks off. Already nearly at midfield, second and short, so touched down here. It's gonna be a problem. Cleveland all day big play Well, thoughts on that a lot of things happening. "Mind my personal best walk our match of his Ravens Titans Sunday to start the game start the year. We should talk about Derrick Henry earlier in the show. And is a rematch of last year's postseason. I think there is going to be so much on where to get to the Ravens a little bit later on how hot they've gotten, put there a major question marks about the Ravens in the postseason based on the last couple of years, and the Titans were in the A C championship game a year ago, and their offense seems to be humming behind Henry. I think that is the tastiest matchup for me the game I'm most looking forward to Think that history part of it with last year. The revenge for Lamar Jackson, the Ravens is absolutely really interesting. But I don't really love the way the Titans one yesterday and I don't really love the way they kind of finished the season and the way that the Ravens have been so hot. I could see Baltimore going in there and winning pretty easily couldn't shoo. I don't. I just don't trust the Ravens. Yet. I know the Titans defense stinks. But where the Ravens ran for 400 yards yesterday and large. Jax has been unbelievable for a month and a half. I know, but I think this is another game where I think Derrick Henry can absolutely gash the Ravens and you have to really like running the ball toe like this game, and I do like good rush offenses. What? I just look up and down these games. I think there's a lot of good games is too real clunkers I'm most after last year and all the questions with the Ravens. That's the game almost bumped about. Round Steelers is super interesting because it's a rivalry game and because it's the Browns and the freaking Browns winning a playoff game hasn't happened since the nineties. So that's super interesting. I think it's a little less interesting just because of the way the Steelers end of the season. But doesn't that also mean it? Give the Browns of better crack and winning that game? There's a reason they decided that game for Sunday football. They thought that would have a lot of juice so this might go against my Titan. Raven point put This would be the one game I think we all would look at and actually say I have no idea or no, like lean on who I think is gonna win this game. I I literally have no idea who's or no feel for who is gonna win this game because of the way this deal is finished, But I mean, already, speaker may feel gonna step right into the postseason and deliver here were first. Just look what just happened yesterday The Steelers sat everybody that took a two point conversion failed Tol even for the Browns even win and will the week off for Big Ben actually have mattered, like Will that have been enough rest for him to get back to the way? He looked earlier in the year. I think it was rarely a smart move by Mike Tomlin to rest Ben and the rest of those guys in week 17. They didn't have a real bye week, and there's nothing really to play for yesterday. That definitely was the right move, in my estimation, and I can't believe they almost Almost tied it at the end. Yeah. Yeah. And in the end, it was smart because Buffalo one anyway, so they wouldn't be able get the two home, right? I think my taste is matchup is gonna be Rams Seahawks because the Rams quarterback situation with Walford is is a problem. God's gotta be healthy for this to be interesting. But Rams defense in Seattle against Russell Wilson, Dickie Metcalfe. That's tasty Division matchup. Familiarity don't like one another. Sara Donald against Russell Wilson, Jalen Ramsey against Russell Wilson, Dickie Metcalfe. There's some juice there. There is if there is and maybe this is story for tomorrow. D A. I'm not so sure the Rams have a better chance of God. Wofford pretty good yesterday. Oh, you think Wofford might be a better option than the golf man? I I think that this is the potential for a little rob Johnson, Doug Flutie. 99 pills really do and Hey, T o We had Tyler done on the show Friday, and he believes the same thing that he thinks their child Wofford in the end might be a better option. Then Jared Goff and has been sitting around waiting for this opportunity. And just yesterday, I thought while for the Times is really zipping the ball winging it in there. And it shows that McVeigh had lost little trust in golf that maybe this thumb injury could be the best thing for a little mini Rams run here and beat the Seahawks. I think Wofford might make that game or interesting. John Walford is an A F guy. He was in Arizona hotshot. John Wofford. I believe was in Arizona House. Yes. Logan White suburb of San Antonio. Commander? Yeah. So John Walford is a alliance graduate. We love the A F around here. We love Garrett Gilbert when he started he threw for 2 31 yesterday rushed for 56. Which is the best career debut ever. Nobody has ever. Throne for 200 yards and rushed for 50 and their first career game. How about that? What? I'm tell you what? It had a little juice yesterday? God has become so Still, I think the Rams alive with Wofford in this game. E think it's Jonah Woolford with an elbow. Not like the university. Wofford played well, Yes, I was hoping that we could rename Eli's new stadium, the Wofford house. That was kind of what I was going. That's pretty awful house. How about that? That's pretty good. Got some tasty matchups tomorrow on the show. We're going to rank the wild card games one through six. "Now, 23 after the hour on the D J B program have the new year, everybody. There are a lot of things going on. Who, well, things about people in the in terms of trending items, which is what we started to do a 23 after each hour. I guess the first one is the passing of Joe Clark Victoria who inspired the movie. Lean on me. I school principal. I remember this movie. Remember this guy? Hey, was the principle of East Side High School in Paterson, New Jersey, and his name still alive in New Jersey, where you live there and probably hear some of the folklore about his approach pretty heavy on discipline. He actually expelled 300 students for fighting for vandalism for abuse of teachers, drug possession. That kind of stuff. He used to go through the hallways with a bullhorn and a baseball bet, And that's what sort of that was what the movie was about, Um He published a book called Laying Down the Law about his strategy at the high school. He was a resident of South Orange, New Jersey, moved to retire down to Florida. He was at home, surrounded by his family. When he passed away. He'd been sick for quite a while. He's only 82. It's not really that old, but he was a tough man man, a tough cookie, But the sadistic the movie Morgan Freeman was amazing in the movie, I don't know much about him isn't in his real life. But I don't know when he retired, but I certainly know of him from the movie s. Oh, yeah, that zone interesting. I don't know, if anyone I think I don't know if other, you know principles followed in his footsteps and had that same approach. I'm not sure the one by the guy that I went to high school frame him so high school. We call them rotten, Ralph. Name was Ralph Martin's, and he was pretty much the same in the 19 sixties. That was nice. Cool from 1960 in 1964, and he was the guy. He didn't mess around with Ralph. You saw him coming. You turned around, ran the other way. That's why he had the nickname of Rotten Ralph. I just remember that she remember a kid on the bus. Who we used to have the patrolman officer Mahoney, whose wife was my third or was my third grade teacher. Yeah, they should My third shoes, Second or third grade teacher Alice Mahoney. And so Walter Molony was the school, the police officer for this school. And we'd you know, at the end of the day when the Busses would leave the yard at three o'clock or whatever. It was this kid Peter Wilson used to open up the window of the bus and yell out the window. What a penny made out of dirty copper, and then he spit on him. S so one day the bus driver just stopped the bus. Mahoney came over and got this kid brought him into school and whatever he did, I don't know what rotten Ralph did to him. But the kids sat and never. It was never another word from that kid in school on the bus. Anywhere s O. That was the legacy I guess of Joe Clark. What makes me sad is John Wells has passed away. This is really trending all over the place. She had Cove. It That's your only 82. I interviewed her a couple of times actually thought she was really worth chasing around. If that doesn't prove she was really Well, she When I flirted each time that we talk to each other, she played Mary Ann Summers. Remember Tina Louise, who played Ginger Grant on Gilligan's Island. It was recently when I was a kid. Yeah, it was on. I don't know if it was Nick it night, but it was something in a re package of all those black and white sitcoms. I loved Gilligan's Island. Yeah. Oh, my gosh. I loved it. She was in a lot of different shows. Two afterwards, the maverick bonanza Joey Bishop sons had stripped Hawaiian eye as she was. It's 28 past the hour on the D. J V program. Hi. I'm warning next time with the pet show tip of the day, you know, licking, licking licking some people like it. Other people are annoyed by a personally I kind of enjoyed all of us who are owned by dogs have been licked by our four footed friends at one time, another This could be a sign of affection. Ah, special greeting or actually an expression of pleasure or an intention getting device. On the other hand, you're a dog, maybe looking you simply to taste the salt on your skin or the remnants of food you've eaten during the day. So don't necessarily flatter yourself on a serious note. If your dog developed in this session with licking a specific spot on his body, it's often a way of telling you that something is wrong. Perhaps there's pain in that area. Be sure you have your veterinarian. Check it out. If you dock checks out, Okay, but continues licking it can create a big problem. So your dog needs more mental stimulation, which, by the way, the biggest reason for excessive licking is stress. Just like when people scratch their head a crack their knuckles When a dog is stressed out, what they'll do is they'll start licking excessively takes him back to the early poppy itself. Work on it. "You can see why there is attraction to Bitcoin, but it could be a house of cards that regulators could bring down. That was Patrick Armstrong. Fleury, Me wealth chief investment officer talking about what? We've been talking about a lot all this week, and that is Bitcoin as it continues to take out one level after another just hitting 57,000 Excuse me in yesterday's trade, Having said that Bitcoin a little bit lower, just down about half a percent. In today's trade. Let's take a quick check on the markets. It is expected to be quiet. We've already seen a quiet trade. Certainly in the European markets futures column flat 1 22 on that euro on as for the 10 year with the other 100.92. So we backed off some of the levels we saw earlier this week. Bitcoin as we said Just down Matt about 4/10 of a percent coming in at 28,000 just about 20,800 there. All right. What a fascinating story. It's been. I mean, Everyone knows by now, But this code was just created 10 years ago in 2009 or 10 years and change. I mean, when I covered in 2012, it was it was 1000. That was the reason that we did a two week report on it and then dropped to 35. So the run up has been insane. And one of the interesting debates has been Is this a currency or a commodity? It's important for tax implications. It's important for legal implications. But we have a commodity, a specialist here to talk a little bit about that. And, of course, other things as well. Bitcoin isn't the only asset out there. But it certainly is one of the most appreciated of the year. End of December. Francisco Blanche be of a head of global commodities and derivatives. Research joins US What's your take on this? You've been writing about Bitcoin here and there for years now, Francisco Has it now been Accepted widely accepted in the institutional investment community. Well, look, I think I think Cryptocurrencies in general and Bitcoin in particular. Are you to your earlier question? I think they're clearly they're clearly tokens and tokens are Concert commodities so I wouldn't necessarily qualify the most currencies. Currencies are issued by government Bitcoin or any any Cryptocurrency can be issued by almost anyone, right. So in that sense it xzibit of an unusual set up And so, so sorry. Qualify that. I think I think it's more of a commodity and any security uh, crypto token, the single thing that says that you know if you think about This this particular contract that Bitcoin House remember that 90% plus off the Communists is held by less than 1% of the account holders. So there's a very high concentration on the early The early adopters haven't really sold and again if you think about supply and demand, you know, it's just one of those things that There's been a flurry of demand and, frankly, not very much supply because the first of all the supplies capital longer term, right, and that's been the issues So so it's extremely volatile. I mean, I wouldn't I mean, compared to any other commodity, the volatility of crypto currencies. This is way way higher. Time. Most cases so Francisco I want to ask you. What do you make the of a year where you've got Bitcoin up more than 300% here in 2020. And you've got gold on track to have the biggest annual advance in a decade. How do you kind of just about anything to you? Yeah. Do you kind of make sense of that, right? So to me, it's It's quite straightforward. We've had, of course, a flurry of liquidity that's coming through market from the central banks, the Fed spouse, It's more than doubled a swell throughout the period. So naturally when you inject so much money, remember, we were talking about currency before right, so currencies created by governments and when, when, uh The world's most important central bank in the world's largest economy, inject so much liquid in the financial system, all assets tend to benefit from it. Um And that's what we've seen. Now, if you think about, um airlines stalks or you think about other acids that have been severely impacted by mobility, which is really well covered. 19 crisis is about They're not going back to previous historical records. But all the asset classes that were in some way constraint that church and and of course that's included. Um, commodities like gold or silver on Because central banks with the fate of the helm, we're trying to support the economy and pretty gory the financial markets. So what happened then? Um, toil. I mean, we were looking at $60 Francisco At the beginning of the year. It dropped to negative 40. And now we're trading at 47 89. I can take the negative drop a zoo blip. A giant possibly orchestrated fat finger. But nonetheless, it's a commodity priced in dollars that has dropped 20% in value. Why So so the the oil story aside, mention early writers is very linked to the idea that covered 19. It's a unique kind of recession. Normally, recessions are cyclical, in the sense that we see industry slowing down many fully and we have to see some kind of financial event driving them. This time around, covered 19 just literally shadows. Shut shut, shut the global economy down in a meaningful way and and mobility collapsed. Suddenly we couldn't go anywhere. In fact, today, I mean home brother and being in the studio with you guys, I say we normally do on a regular day. Um, you know, I haven't I haven't been on a plane now, I guess for the longest three in my life, I mean, spraying 10 10 months now can hoping on the plane. Um, so you know that mobility is what's taken down. The demand for oil by a smart, just 30% In the month of April on Gwen, The man fell by 30%, which also probably like, you know, Think of GDP also felt about that number. Uh, Oil prices collapsed and then to your point was a bit of a fat finger there, but Also also at some point open started to cut back production. We reopen the global economy starting in May and June, and and things picked up, But But now in the last couple days, we've got an old nervous again because of this new virus strain going on in the UK, right? So hey, Francisco just got about 15 20 seconds. So what's your projection? Give us that quick price target for oil in 2021. So we see. We see oil getting to $60 a barrel by the second quarter, so were were constructed with think the economy comes back. Obviously, we have to control this UK strain in the first next couple months, so it could be a little patchy in January. I think once we get to June, we're gonna be in a much better shape. Those like scenes. We're going to really help. Think Get things moving. No pun intended. All right. Got to leave it on that note. Francisco Thank you so much. Have a great and save new year. Francisco Blonde. He is Bank of America, head of global commodities and derivatives research, joining us here and you know that This is really important. We'll see whether demand we know supplies in the oil market have been pretty vast, but we'll have to see whether not demand Ultimately picks up. I've been driving as much as possible. Well, those days are long gone apple kicked off the two lens trend wa L G at three lenses to a phone this share Samson's posts add six guys see us ten next year. LG has of even more extreme sixteen lenses. Look at this. Configuration. Wow. What do you think it looks like Swiss cheese on the back of your phone? Sixteen cameras, right? That's got to be like at least eight times better than the iphone. I don't know if that's how the math works. But I mean, I look at it. And I just think you know, how like we've always talked about how there's a lack of innovation in phone s like forms like, you know, it's been this kind of like square screen for a really long time. And then I love that all these phone makers are basically just like, you know, what would we do to shake things up sixteen cameras? It's just more and more cameras until the full thing, it's a rubik's cube. Where each block is just a camera while we did Samsung did show off actually are is selling a phone with four camera lenses in the back. So it's not implausible than that. These camera makers are just trying to add more and more lenses. This is an interesting it's a four by four grid configuration. It's it's kind of done in a circular formation. So I guess it would be better for three d imagery. I wonder what like each lens would be doing. And so with dulas, you know, one is to capture the background in one four ground for a better bouquet affect. I'm very curious. So is this like one is for specifically like lighting one is four specifically like, no, I think it's it's to take sort of these multi perspective photos, or you can change the angle maybe moving around and come in a three D kind of affect way. I don't know. It's weird. It's crazy. But you know, what it industry that is kind of lacking in innovation six, maybe sixteen cameras is it. Yeah. Speaking of wearing crazy, Elon Musk today, basically mentioned that he there's a seventy percent chance that who moved to Mars. And a little bit weird and crazy center on axios on HBO on Sunday night. I mean, we we know about SpaceX we know about their whole like space exploration mission. I mean, he lost you musk on Mars. I mean, good. He should go to Mars. The big me as long as Twitter's on Mars. I think that'd be good for him. I mean, I don't know how the Tesla's there would work or us solar city. I don't know how much sunlight Mars gets. I don't know much about space.
