"They can't stop talking, and they end up believing themselves that they're doing a great job. Talking to do Robert Walker from Apex Entertainment. And how about this one here? I'm just you know, you're going to see tonight on the local news or if you go to the Web sites of the Boston papers gonna Charlie Parker release, you know, reduces restrictions, etcetera. You're always yourself to actually look at what's in these these regulations because there's Robert Walker says they don't make any sense. Okay? How about this one? Robert Walker, Effective May 29th Subject to public health and vaccination data. The restaurant guidance will be updated to eliminate the requirement that food be served with alcohol and to increase the maximum table size 10. So may 28 You could get Cove it if you have more than six people at the table, But the next day, it's okay to have more than 10 and the covert will attack you if you're just having a drink. At the bar. On May 28th. But on May 29th you could just have a cocktail and not worry about ordering any food and covert will leave you alone. Again. Where is the science behind that? Robert? There is no science how yet This is all about powered always has been, And they're going to hang on to this as long as I can, and they're gonna release it like the Chinese water. Torture, drip drip drip on your forehead. Until you read the pass out, Hang yourself or lucky enough to sustain your business and move on along after November because I don't think August is going to be the end of it. I really think this thing's gonna drag on until we get in the election season. We'll be talking about mass for a while here, it's all just a circular conversation. Yeah, it says face coverings order will be relaxed for some outdoor sightings. Face coverings will still be required at all times said indoor public Places face coverings will also be continued, will continue to be required at all times at events. Weather held indoors or outdoors and whether held in a public space or private home except for when eating and drinking. Yeah, So it's not. This isn't really that that much of an improvement is it? Well, I'd hate to be getting married in a wedding venue and have to put my mask on for my wedding pictures That just cost me $50,000 for the event. I mean, it's not.

And it was the day after the grim milestone of 10,000 deaths in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Well, Vermont, this 50th in the rate of deaths. Nine per 100,000, Massachusetts. As you know. Is from reading my call Emerge. Just looking at the statue yourself is third in deaths per if For 100,000 population 148 deaths per 100,000 population. "I can't live without this ass. 14 20 WBS M love from the Matthews Brothers studio. 844 540 to 42. The governor today again. He didn't mention that that they're going to start sending covert 19 pay positive patients into at least one nursing home. Probably more. But he did mention that he's gonna be imposing new restrictions on among other places, Churches, restaurants, GM's etcetera, etcetera. Joining us now on the line is Eric Hynes. He runs a number of US South Shore restaurants, including precinct 10 and Weymouth, where we were like a lot stockholders 40. Two degrees North Bay Point Waterfront. Eric What the What's your response to the new lock that? Why don't you? Why don't you explain to people what what this is going to involve for restaurants first. How we nice to talk to you. Um I mean, at this point, nothing surprises me anymore. It's just one hit after another with these restrictions, So I mean the obvious ones. You know the table limit's going from 10 people, Max for table down to six on Do you know the 90 minute restriction on, you know, being seated at the table? It was really to me aren't the killer's in all of this. I mean, you know, we can see the party at 12 at two separate tables and you know, a 90 minute cap on tables, you know, kind of in a way helps us because then we can hopefully turn the tables faster. What's really going to get us though? Is this new mask mandate? Where, um, you know, everybody has to wear a mask at all times in the restaurant. Even if you're just sitting with your family and your cable talking, You have to wear a mask unless you're taking a bite of food or a sip of, you know, alcohol or water or whatever the case may be And to me, that's just going to give people one more reason to stay home instead of dealing with all the all the Bs that they have to deal with that restaurant that that's what's gonna hurt us. No, Eric. I made that the poll question today. And I thought Is this really fair? Because you know, we have you when the and Robert Walker and we have somebody great that restaurants that are advertisers and just friends of ours, But it's It's true. It just makes it less likely that you I mean, who wants to deal with the headache of wearing a mask? I mean, you know what? You could get a good meal. Nobody. Nobody wants to do that, Don't they? Do they have any understanding of people of human nature? No, And what's beyond frustrating is that you know time and time again. It's it's just one more unfair attack on restaurant specifically, it seems like it would regardless of what new restriction comes out. It always seems to go after restaurants. And I mean the last time you know, there was the latest round of the restriction before this one was back in early November, when we went to the curfew and at the same press conference, where they announced the 9 30 curfew on restaurants. Right before they did that. And I'm reading the quote right now from I think it was Lieutenant Governor Toledo. The public health data indicates that restaurants are not linked to covert outbreaks and then dr dot You have to close the 9 30. Right? Well, you know, way did the story in the Herald last week, It was pointed out by a by a restaurant, Another restaurant tour that I know in Boston, but the restaurant there are more outbreaks at child care centers, restaurants, You know, they're tracked back to him so but again, I'm not saying you should close down. You know, they care centers. But why y single out restaurants? I have no idea and back on in early November when we get this 9 30 curfew thing when they basically exonerated restaurant from outbreak. Actually listed. You know you could. There were multiple reports on where the active covert clusters were. The number one was obviously households foreign away. There were 7428 covert clusters from households followed by Long term care facilities. Corrections facilities hospitals in many, many more until you get all the way down to restaurants. Yet we face the brunt of all of these restrictions. It's getting it's getting terrible. I mean, winter is going to be hard enough. Um And to have to deal with something like this. It's just gonna be catastrophic for a lot of a lot of risk restaurants. What are you hearing today from your fellow restaurant owners and and also your employees? What are they saying? Had to say, um they're all used to it. I mean, I It's It's almost like everybody is rolled into some sense of, you know, complacency. At this point. We're so used to being beaten down and beaten down and beaten down and we're tired of beating so You just I feel like a lot of people just given up and are taking it. And it's sad to say that I mean so many of us have tried so hard since way back in April and may to push back and say, Hey, you're killing one of the biggest employers. You know, people in the state. Slowly and people have been e mean literally beaten down for months, nine months. I mean, no one knows what to do anymore. What? I don't understand. Let's play cut 40 here and let's let's this is this is talking about the restaurants. This is Charlie Parker talking about restaurants cut 40 Hold on 1st.

As a result of the decline in ridership, the Mbita is now on ly transporting 330,000 trips on an average weekday 330,000. You know Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham. What is your thoughts on how long you think they'll be And where do you think they're gonna end up? I I don't know The answer to that question. A lot depends on if you know I'm still you know, praying that Donald Trump by is re elected and, you know, continues in office. But if he's not there, I get the feeling he's goingto start his own cable network or joined up with one of these cable networks like Newsmax, where I worked one hour day. Or or a 00 a N n or one of those channels, don't you think, Russ? Yes, I do. And I really hope that if he's not reelected, I really hope that that does happen. I hope you're with him. I hope all these folks are with him and everybody pulls together because that's the only way the message going to get out there. Yeah, I think you're right Rush, and I think he'll definitely be involved in something again that I wanted to continuous president, the United States. Denise, You're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead. We can't go out to restaurants that closing at 9 30. Why we not at risk it 8 30 or 5 30 in the afternoon exactly because the covert virus only comes out at night. Well, you know, I really think it's a big way of trying to get us used to some kind of socialism. I don't trust the government at all. I am absolutely a trump in. I know that the election was stolen from him. I mean, any fifth critic and see That it was stolen. You don't have to have a very cute unfortunately, unfortunately, Denise, there are no fifth graders who were anchors on on the major networks are their plan exactly. But my point is is that even a young child with a low education can see something went really wrong here. Yeah, I know. It's just it. It's just so so frustrating. We're going. All of you have and this is, I think the weirdest characters Robert Walker's Bruno Anthony. I mean, he's really out there. He gives Anthony Perkins right for his money begin Psycho because On strangers on the train. These this guy is just obsessed with having a tennis pro Do exactly what he wants. It's a beautiful film. I think. What if it's what it's got to do? You know, I'm saying about different directors and what they could do and we're talking about. Ah, the archery theory of a director is in charge of the entire film Eyes. The creator of the film well Strangers on the train. Hitchcock always in his movies would give the ordinary like this is just a train. It's just a child's carousel. It's just the Statue of Liberty or any number of things, you know Mount Rushmore. And he'll turn it into something that terrorizes you. He was very good at taking the ordinary. And he didn't believe in it in the guts and the blood that we see too much of today in Phyllis, he believed in the anticipation of it, and that really plays on our imagination. What what a wonderful filmmaker. Wonderful. Okay, I've got to take a break. I hate too. Because I've got the incredible a marvelous Jan wall. We wanted to thank the the 1 10 Grill Robert Walker, the owner and one of the plaintiffs in the case against Charlie Baker for shutting down the state. They brought in some great food from the 1 10 Grill. We've done some cheap bastard deals with them. Most great food. It was pork and, ah macaroni and cheese. And some shrimp and some tuna. That was great stuff. Wonderful food, The 1 10 grill, Anyone? 10 Grill. They're all over the place and all of the states that we're in, and we really love it. And good luck to Robert Walker and where we're keeping our fingers crossed for you. Uh, the Supreme Judicial Court is a tough nut to crack when you're going up against the guy who signs their paychecks, If you know what I mean, What can I say? But thank you, Robert Walker for bringing in the food and then we loved the 1 10 Grill. With us for one more segment is Dr Matt Callahan and urine Rally Massachusetts at the switch, switch Animal Hospital 789 for a 8189. Okay. And you do a great job way We loved what you did with gunner kept her alive for a long time. Chris, You're next with Howie Carr and Dr Matt. Go ahead, Chris. Yeah. Hi, Dr Matt. Hey, I need to pick around having my girlfriend's Chihuahua. Like me. He's elderly, But every time I see him, it's a serious problem. I know. I understand. I've talked to guys that had this problem before. One of them was a congressman. Yeah, Yeah, I go over her house and every time that thing like he can't really walk right, That kind of swoop is across the road floor. But he's really fast. He's got the cheese brushed his teeth on flight. This is really sharp teeth, and all he wants to do is fight and how to make him. I'm perfectly fine being subservient right now. I appreciate your efforts on in in behalf of this relationship. You know what the problem is? You know, Two hours are two things. They can be a little aggressive in their principal. So you can't like not as easy to buy him off as if I was going to say blue bits that I mentioned Blue bets early, are they The bites are really exactly and so And so what I would What I would attempt to do is have a little bit of alone time with your girl Friend's Chihuahua B. The one that feeds it, that sort of stuff. So the dog sees you as Something other than just a distraction from the attention that he should be receiving. Okay, That's I think that's good advice. Thanks, Chris. Thanks for calling. Eric. You're next with Howie Carr and Dr Matt. Go ahead, Eric. Hey, Dr Matt Michael. Sure. Um, I've got £26, Maine Coon cat, four years old. Awesome cat. Perfect help everything. The only thing is when he gets his winter coat. He's an indoor cat. Get get the matting having him marrying in AA. I can get him off his back, but he does not like it. Comic toucher underside. Don't let me and when he says when he says no, he means no. No means no £26, Father two inches wide. But, yeah. I don't like your Delhi doctor is not. He's not like you. He just doesn't like what you need. Oh, yeah. Well, here's my recommendation. Don't pick a fight because you'll lose the fight, you know, And you already know that allows springtime to roll around and drop him off at your veterinarian for a brief sedation and brush out. And that's what they'll do they'll they'll brush out all the mountain shaved the mountain. He'll be sleepy and everybody will be happy. It will be worth the short money you spend to have it done. All right. Thank you. Eric J. You're next with Howie Carr and Dr Matt. Go ahead, J. How is he, Doctor? Thank you for taking my call. So that we have a have a little pug. Who is he's 11 years old. He's gonna be 12 years old. And he is We really love our little pug. He's very important. He's ill never be blessed with Children. But he's all we have. So recently he stopped that We've always kept them on consequence. Always studying very well. We brush his teeth. We need a morale a long time. He has recently stopped like a jumping up the stairs. The bet says that say, what many bets say they give us the truth. And they say that He's fine. The hips look okay, but he's just aging. But I just wanted to ask, you know, kind of a straight question. And what we condo's money was no issue, which it is an issue. But if nothing else is in the way, what can I do Have my little dog around? Well, the thing I advise the most, especially for pugs is to make sure they're healthy way. If they're overweight. That is a huge crippling thing for and don't take this the wrong way. And I've told us to Howie before that pugs may not be the best by mechanically assembled dog ever. And but that doesn't mean they can't go for a long time. I'm not big in Texas, and I understand I would that reason I would certainly get a harness so you can easily pick him up so we can go up and down stairs. I would certainly make sure he's a healthy weight. I would have Amon supplements Costa Quinn, essential fatty acid supplements, and I'd certainly put him on pain relief. We talked about this before their stem cells. There's laser therapy. This physical therapy. You could do him all. I think you're right about the weight, So I think that's why Gunner live longer than Pearl. Because Pearl put on too much..

"542 42. That's the toll free number of the Howie Carr show. And We've all been Ah, eager Do I get the boot of the state off of our collective neck and Finally, some of these court cases air starting to ah, to move into the actual courtrooms. And tomorrow, I think is the first one the first major one anyway. And this is the front of the Supreme Judicial Court. The entire court it'll be a virtual hearing. And it's a group of plaintiffs who are saying that Charlie Parker, Charlie Baker overstepped his bounds. And imposing these thieves draconian lockdowns that he had no right to do so he filed under the under the Civil Defence Act of 1950. And claiming, But this this So called pandemic was a was a national disaster. And it was only supposed to run. But I think for 45 days and he's just it's obviously it's been a lot more than 45 days have been like six months at this point. And one of the plaintiffs in the case will be heard tomorrow. Early early tomorrow. We'll have we'll have cut from the, uh from the hearing tomorrow during the show. Is Robert Walker, and he owns Apex Entertainment and won 10 Grill among many other things, and this has been a a terrible problem for him, as it has been for so many people, including some of them. They're in this room of the restaurant thirst from Massachusetts. Robert Walker. Thanks for being with us here on the Howie Carr show. Hey, great to talk to you. So what? What happens tomorrow? Oh, and what's it Lay out your your Ah, your argument. You and the other plaintiffs. Well, tomorrow we're finally going to be heard. As you suggested in your preamble there about our lawsuit, which we filed. This is about 10 Plaintiffs, Uh, churches, restaurants are entertainment center. Uh, and our conference centre of two of the plaintiffs. We're going to be heard virtually nine o'clock with the state Supreme Court and it basically, Ah, is ah pretty open and shut case relative to evidence and Other issues that concerned our argument. Uh, he filed all these directives under the Civil Defence Act. And we Determined through research and our attorneys that he had absolutely no authority to do that. It's not relevant to a pandemic is a matter of fact, is a clear cut law that deals with pandemics and Reich is authority to local board of health, Not Governor. But he you know the fact is, though, Robert, I think we've talked about this on the air. As you well know, as we all know who live in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The judges You tend to our react the political pressure he appointed most of these judges pay. He has to sign. Pay raises for these judges, you know? Yeah. I mean, do you think you're going to get a fair shake? I d o because this is really just comes down to a matter of why. I mean there is no opinion here. It clearly states in the law what authority the governor has and what authority doesn't have so You know, when we when we filed this Petition. They did not argue our points whatsoever. They just brought it and suggested that we go right to the state Supreme Court and not go through any lower courts and no, not End up in appellate cord so There's not a dispute over over the argument, it simply is. Does the governor have the authority and it clearly states? He does not local Board of Health Have the authority and a pandemic. He has the authority and this civil defense. Situation of riots and natural disasters, which you know he's trying, Tio. Trying to slide under and it's clearly not the case. And I think that's again bullshit by the fact that this is a A law that Ah That deals directly with pandemics. You think you've Ah question or on the fax line? You have You seen any retribution for your filing of this lawsuit? Well, it seems a little bit Uh, curious to us that Particularly in our arcades we were supposed to have Been included in Phase three and the day before we were going to open, which it's not just our arcade. There are several in Massachusetts as we all know, including Dave and busters. Um, that hey, took them out. He took arcades and laser tag right out of the face, Trini said those aren't going to be allowed to face for and he reversed that decision today. I was going to ask you about that. Yeah, that you think that is. Was that an olive branch that was offering you when he Unfortunately, a little too late. I mean, several of our peers are you know, we've been discussion this often on what? What are we going to dio and they were going to go ahead and file a separate lawsuit, and I said, You really don't need to. Ours will take precedent. We're in before you So just, you know, like everybody says, quote unquote. Hang in there and you know they're They're in a tough spot, like the rest of us are do I think he he offered in all of branch? I suppose so. There's no other way to understand why he took it out the day before. We were going to go into phase three and be allowed to open and then how he allowed us to open the day before we I heard in front of the state Supreme Court. You know, Bob, what I don't understand is so it's still dangerous to go to an arcade right now, But next week, it's going to turn around. And it's okay. Right. How does how does that make any sense? A recurring question in these dives. It will have asked ourselves that 1000 times how you means again. Some of our peers offered to do all sorts of strange things that that we weren't Onboard with because we just didn't see the need. You know all our businesses. Had a beautiful clean establishment before the virus hit and we will have one after and we have one during so we didn't see the need to go to the special. Arrangements that just cost money that you will never get back. But again, I will say this that We're not arguing, and I just want to make it clear because people certainly Ah, as we are very conscious about the virus and take it seriously. So we're not arguing the fact that the governor made right or wrong decisions. That is not what we're arguing about. I just want to make sure people understand that we were clearly just going on the argument that the governor himself did not have the authority to pick winners. Losers and And our betrayals shut down different businesses for different times. Right. Let me let me play the cut Here. This is this is this this afternoon a tits press conference when he announced that he was going to allow the arcades open after saying they couldn't open. And he's asked about what what? What the difference. What's changed? Cut 22. Our kids have been open for a while and some of the states surrounding.
