"Afternoon, I'm Hillary Howard and I'm Sean Anderson Jacob curr as our producer. We have two big stories this afternoon, one surrounds commander's owner Dan Snyder, and a $55 million loan that's got the attention of federal prosecutors. More on that in a minute. But first, a man is dead in southeast D.C. after police say he was shot and killed by a U.S. marshal. Let's go live to WTO's Megan clarity. Sean, this happened around 1 o'clock when D.C. police say U.S. Marshals were staking out an area in an attempt to serve a warrant for an arrest. They were observing an apartment complex on third street southeast, which is near oxen run park when D.C. police say the Marshall saw that man that they wanted to arrest and they approached him. That's when he took off running. Chief Robert Conti, who just gave a press conference says that man ran into a nearby breezeway and tried to climb a fence. But when he was trying to climb that fence, he pulled out a semi-automatic gun, it is unclear how many shots that both officers fired, but we do know both officers fired their service weapons and the man was killed. Police confirmed he is a person who they're intending to arrest, but are they not sharing his identity nor what he was wanted for and D.C. police is leading the investigation as their responsible for any death inside the district. Are Mike Morello is headed down there now and will bring you the latest from the scene. One man dead after U.S. Marshals shoot and kill him in southeast D.C., reporting live Meghan cloherty, WTO news. Thank you, Megan three 32 now to the other big story. Yet another huge development surrounding Washington commander's owner Dan Snyder. ESPN reports that a secret $55 million loan was behind Snyder's split with the former minority owners of the Washington commanders. And it's the focus of the federal investigation into alleged financial misconduct by Snyder and the team. In an exclusive report, ESPN says the partners were not told about the line of credit even though unanimous consent from the board is needed for the loans to be approved. Turns out NFL commissioner Roger Goodell signed off on that loan for Snyder. When the former partners turned to the NFL to investigate financial wrongdoing, both the commissioner and an arbitrator refused to do so Instead, they pushed the former partners to settle by selling their shares of the team, which shut down their complaints. A federal grand jury subpoenaed documents on the team's finances, including information on that loan. It's three 33 now to Ukraine. The war in Ukraine is closer to Moscow. I have talked to officers who said who have done two tours in Iraq and said that this was more was scarier to them, then their time and combat I'd like to know where they were when they were in Iraq. Yeah. What were they in the D fac? What were they making the lunch for everybody else. Because Iraq is scary, you know, I e DS militias, armed militias. But somebody told you is the chief of police that last Wednesday was scarier. Than Iraq. This is the theme for today's show. You are being gas let even by the new chief of police for the metropolitan area, the police Department, which I don't know. Did it do the job last Wednesday. Did it. Unarmed civilians. Entering that building. With Mary and obstruction. Let's go to your calls. Let's go to Dallas waiting very patiently in simple line to welcome, Dennis. Mr Gardner. Thank you for taking my call. Appreciate it. So you you've got a lot of inside office. You're pretty smart guy has been in politics for a long time involved the president forever. With all these folks have done on the democratic side for the last months and months and months, burning down their cities, inciting riots inciting damage to their own cities. How come the Republicans don't step up? Do something on their behalf. Like they're doing to the president, United States. I don't understand how they can get away with continuously doing this in the Republicans just kind of stand by idly and do nothing. Well, I mean, I presume that's a rhetorical question. I mean, you know the answer the question. I really don't. I don't understand how you even with all the legality of the voting that took place and allowing it to happen and not actually stepping up to the plate. And doing anything the Democrats. They stick by each other. They stand by each other, and they know what you said. You sound surprised, Dennis. I mean, have you not been alive for the last 30 40 years? I've been alive, but it's hard to believe why Why this is the GOP. Dennis Thing didn't happen now. This is the GOP. This is why we elected Donald Trump. I understand that. That's why I asked. The question is, why don't they? Why don't they band together? You got a strong relationship with the president. You see what's going on around them. Why not? They band together like the Democrats. Do I understand exactly what you're saying. And I know what problem Republicans have been for the last 30 40 years. You know, they're so completely that they just let everything fried and whatever comes whatever. Yeah, little complacent. They just don't wanna fight. I don't understand why you're asking the question if you know what the joke is being like. For the last 40 years. They don't fight. I don't want to find that they don't want to overturn the apple cart. They want to be very comfortable and pick up their pension, get their lobbying jobs and not disrupt business As usual. You know that, Dennis, right? I do You see that? But if the Democrats have been able to take on the stance over the course of years and years and years Why can't the Republicans Dennis? We're going around in circles. We're really going around in circles. Okay? The Democrats take politics seriously. The Republicans don't. That's why we like to Donald Trump. Is that clear now? Yeah, I am. And I totally understand that, OK, That's why which Trump was still there, But you're not the only one that is. Thank you, Denis. Thank you. They just don't want to fight it is that Simple. Let's go Toe Raja in Indiana Line three. Welcome, Roger. Hey, Dr Gorka, how you doing? Good. Hey, I was at the speech that Trump gave and I was also at the Capitol. Oh, wow. My sentiment was not what the media is saying. I did not feel like I wanted to go up there and tear into the capital or destroy anything matter What happened when you got to the capital. What did you witness with your own eyes? I seen everybody kind of sitting around. I've seen them having this great big American flag. They were taken to the crowd. I didn't see anybody doing anything violent or aggressive. Or anything like that whatsoever, and we were kind of standing down by the capital wall. And a matter of fact, we heard that the thumbs of the canisters. That's what we thought were canisters we took off. We looked at each other and said, You know what? Let's get out of here because it's something Something may be happening here pretty soon, so we split. Thank you. Roger. Thanks for your first hand account. Let's go to Dave. In Arizona of waiting very patiently line One. Welcome, Dave. Thanks for taking the call. Dr. Gordon. Thanks for your patience, Dave. Absolutely. As you know, I've called multiple times. I was the guy that drove all over Arizona registering people to vote holding the flag rallies. I've been out of the capital in America. The county Board of elections for the last two months nearly every day went to a GOP meeting Saturday night. There's a couple of strong people in the state of Arizona, but unfortunately they fenced off our capital. And I called the PL the public information officer for DPS, which is our state police. They said that they just listen the Lord Juicy and we can't get a republic back. I'm just frustrated. I don't know. When people I think people need to stand up and nurse the Liberty tree, the Jefferson quote. I don't see any other way. If we can't have fair and free elections we need to physically take our country. There were problems back. Yeah, I went out there and my friend were not there. And I'm not prepared to pay that price yet. Not yet. Because, remember What it cost the last time. Are you ready for that cost? I'm not ready for 600,000 people dead. And I tell you right now, then, or as powerful as you think they are. They may have won this time, but with a 50 50 split in the Senate. It's not going to be easy for the Democrats. So just wait. Just wait on the best thing you could do. God bless you. For all the volunteer you did in this election is you should run for office. Keep getting us. What should I do?.
