I always look forward not only to your show, but hearing his voice and what he had to say. And I was wondering what you think about. And they think the whole group of everybody that's their calls in. I feel like we're family. We're Friends, you know what I mean? "I'm Robbie James I had the dramatic don't you know in 1971 and that was a big record as far as that goes. Everything's in The Rain, which was a number one R&B record, but what you see is what you get was certainly top 5 R&B and top ten pop and a fine fine records on Volt in 1971 and originally they were on golden world, which is a label owned by Eddie wingate in Detroit, and they were a Detroit group formed in 64. And their first release, bingo on wingate, which was a division of golden world, said the dynamics you might say, oh, they changed their name to the dramatics. No, they always were the dramatics anyone gets just screwed it up. And so it was that shortly thereafter, Don Davis, and Tony Hester, a couple of Detroit producers you might be aware of. Took their career to Memphis to put them on stacks. And that's if you're wondering, how do the dramatics ever get to sex? Well, it was because of Don Davis. And what you see is what you get came out like say number three on the R&B charts and 9 on the pop charts and then in The Rain a year later got to number one on the R&B charts and top 5 on the pop charts and it was great for them. They actually recorded 20 albums between 1972 and 2002. And in 74, they recorded the album along with the dells, which is a lot of fun, but most of their stuff in the 70s was on Volt or ABC and then the 80s that were on MCA and capital. And fantasy. And of course, Ron banks was a founding member to say the least, and he would have turned 72 years old today. Born in 1951 in Redford, so he was just 20 years old when they started hitting big, yeah, heady times for him. Sadly died, March 4th, 2010 in Detroit had a heart attack, just 58 years old, so yeah, rest in peace, Ron. He would have turned 72 today. So 8 8 8 7 6 5 5 9 three 88 88 rally, if it's on your mind, it'll be on mine. And John came in and said, what do you mean you don't know about Danny rapp? I'm saying, you got some Intel. He did not kill himself. It was the mob. Okay. Yeah, and why the mob would have picked the quartzite yacht club I have no idea. But John got to that in a convoluted way saying, well, come on, the guys from south Philly and when Jerry blabber was in high school, he was the road manager and introduced him to all sorts of people as oh God. And so anyway, that's John's theory that it was, in fact, the mob. I have no idea. No one can explain why Danny rapp either chose to end his life or his life was ended at the quartzite yacht club. And you can still rent a room. It'll be a trailer in some nautical theme. Yes, for probably about 30 bucks. 8 8 8 7 6 5 5 9 three is 88, 88 Raleigh. I love dogs. Big dogs, especially that's my weakness. Huge, huge stocks. And so when the French bulldog wins best of show, I'm like, all right. But more than that, you know, other than my personal pick aside in terms of breed, the bulldog is the French bulldog is a crying shame because this is such a creation that the French bulldog can not even birth by itself. That's right. It has to has to be completely completely done by what are you saying? I thought the French bulldog. Oh, no, it didn't. Was that last year, the French voted? Oh, oh, you're right. The number one, you're right, you're right, you're right. French bulldog did not win the show. The French bulldog the AKC announced was the number one breed in America as far as popularity. That's what it was. No, the show was won by a hound that you can't pronounce it. A Griffin. So yeah, that's right. You're absolutely right. It was not the French bulldog, but I was outraged when I was looking at that list saying it was the most popular dog in America. I stand corrected. But even that, yeah, a creation. So now the worst minister club has a nondescript hound, as far as I'm concerned. And I realized beauty is subjective, obviously. And a dog's attitude goes far, but I looked at this winter and just thought to myself, no. Now, of course, I would never make a good judge as far as far as that goes. There was there was an interesting interview with one of the judges who said, of course, you're looking for dogs that are the best of their breed. For example, any poodle that flies around the ring like a workhorse is not a poodle. Some dogs are bred to hut lions like the Rhodesian ridgeback and others are bred to be affected puff balls like the pekingese. So it's how close are they to their type? If it's an Afghan hound, it shouldn't be looking at you. It should be looking through you rather olof. Thinking, could you move aside? So regardless, but I did. I was aghast at the French bulldog being the number one most popular breed in America. And a guest at this Griffin hound, so to speak, being the winner. But curious if you saw it, who you would, you would pick as far as that goes. I was looking at the best of breeds on the list. And it came to my attention that only one of them was really a giant dog, the giant schnauzer. Everything else was a more petite dog. And obviously, this means utterly nothing, but for people in the dog world, of course, was this over a 140 years now. They've been doing this and they do it in New York. And it's been interesting to see what wins and what doesn't. So yeah, the hound. I looked at that and thought, no, no, and then got the list and said, come on, you got to be kidding me with the French bulldog. And also, it was, it was sad because I think any dog that can't breed naturally is probably one that we don't really want to want to further that line. So the 147th Westminster cattle club. And if you saw it curious, what caught your fancy? And yeah, I've just seen some of the clips so I didn't get to see all of my big loves, which I love taking a look at and I love the individual races when you see the best of a particular breed, which is fun. And I will check all that out. But any opinions, well, I want them. But yeah, a hound you can't pronounce is the winner. So 888-876-5593. It's 88, 88 Raleigh on WGN radio. Double YouTube

"I'm Robbie James, our two of Monday night trivia on mayday mayday. We've got a question here and many takers on it, but Nevada has more of them than any other state Alabama has less of them fewer of them. More and less of what. All right, so 888-876-5593. Now we're talking a Johnny D in Ohio, who got his notice for jury duty for trial court one way or another. And so a few questions about that. Firstly, is it a deal where you call in the night before and they tell you if they need you I don't know. I didn't read the whole thing yet. It was reading it to me, my wife, and the next thing is. Have you been, have you been asked to serve on a specific date or a U.S. to answer a questionnaire? I think I have to answer a question because my wife says she's going to have my daughter DM my oldest daughter. You know, I mean, obviously, if you really can't get up and you don't feel well enough at that hour the morning, that's a good enough excuse, but if you can go, I would urge you to go. I see. Well, I'm going to I want to go. I want to do my civic duty. Let's not do that. Because you know what? All right, in 71 years, this is the first time I've ever been. My wife's been called twice in her life. It may be the last, depending, but I think you should go and let me know how it goes. Wait a minute. I'm afraid I got to go to Akron, all right? Bad things going on. You'll be fine. You'll be fine in Akron. Very little is going to happen in the courts buildings. And if something on tour, if something untoward is going to happen, they're probably not going to shoot the jury pool. I don't want to get involved. I can tell. But what? I said, I can tell. I can tell. All right, well, he was in California and he got one away from the second fall to and it was a rape trial. He said. But he didn't get it. He wanted to get it, you know? Well, both sides during voir dire have the right to strike people for no reason at all. And then of course they have the right to strike them for cause. So they have a limited number of no reason at all strikes, but they have an unlimited number of cause strikes. So many people will not be chosen. I see. Well, I don't want to talk about anything. It's a trivial jury duty. Let's do trivia. I can see people who are going to court right now saying, please dear God, don't let him be on my jury. All right, now you are ready. That's right. Yeah. All right. You better have a good defense. It may be. This way, Raleigh. If you're there, you must have did it. If you answer that way, that's all you have to say. You will not have to serve right there if you say that you're off. Don't worry. They'll say bingo. No, no, no, no, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it's exactly right. That will get you off quicker never, but I have a feeling it's a civil trial. It may not be a criminal trial. I don't know. I didn't read that. They won't necessarily tell you. They won't tell you that necessarily they'll just tell you whether it's a grand jury or a pet at jury meaning it's a jury that's going to make a decision on a specific trial. All right, now you want to. Nevada. Yes. Read it. Read it again. Oh, it's not that it's not that long. Nevada has more of them than any other state. Alabama has fewer of them than any other state more and fewer of what. Well, I was just thinking 5 star hotels. Probably would be true, but that's not it. Okay. All right, well that was my guess. That's very nice. You were on to hominins. All right. You got me last week because I didn't pay attention. Well, I paid attention. You'll get it. Which of the following was the

"I'm Robbie James and well, I was right. Yeah, from what I knew about the Gwyneth Paltrow trial I said, no, jury's gonna find for her and indeed they did. Yeah, fairly quickly, too. So no big surprise there again when you looked at all the expert witness testimony and everything else, not to mention on the day of the accident the report from the skiing instructor who said that, in fact, Paltrow did not hit Sanderson, the guy who sued her. It was the other way around. There was just a mound of actual evidence that had it not come this way. I would have been very surprised. But so that is the deal they are now. What will be interesting? She only countersued for a dollar. However, she countersued for her legal expenses, which when you saw the cavalcade of expert witnesses that were coming in on that case, that is not coming cheap to say the least. And interesting, I don't know how Sanderson's defense was paid. Was this a contingency case? Because of course there are so many attorneys now and the idea of filing a contingency case if all they have is time on their hands and they don't have other cases. Well, why not? Well, who pays for the legal fees? Does the client have to pay them Sanderson? Do the attorneys have to pay them? So that's an interesting story, and I don't know that we'll ever know, but I found that fascinating. So 888-876-5593 88 88 Raleigh. Are you doing outpatient rehab? Yes, I am now. Okay, so a good thing. You bet you it is what's going on with the foot. It was a flexibility. But I still need a lot of the light gets hard. Not working that good yet. I need more therapy. I need more work on it. I think it's a strength back. Well, you will, strengthen the head. Strength is actually probably easier to build than a number of things you could be tackling. So you will, it'll just take a little time. Yeah. All right. All good. One thing I like to talk about, you mentioned about semi private rooms in the last couple of weeks. Yes. Okay. I'm not sure hospitals and rehabs have semi private rooms yet. Most of them. Some do, yes. Right. Right. Increasingly increasingly, it's going away because of the amount of hospital born infection, but you're right. It's more common than not. And as far as I'm concerned, I'd run from that scenario. Well, one thing in the hospital, when you're in a hospital, you usually get so many services. Somebody's in your room every hour or two hours. So if anything's happening, they know something that's going on. Or you're on the monitors. But in a rehab, one reason may be to have a couple of people in a room is if one person can't get to their call right, they're going to ask the other person. I've had that situation. One of the other person couldn't find their call right, and I had to call for them. Undoubtedly, but and that's decisions people make. In my world, nothing outweighs the idea of avoiding hospital born infection and it would be all private all the time or nothing else. But there are many reasons that originally they did go for semi private and one of those reasons was just what you're describing. So it has legs. I just, I just don't think enough of them to want to be in that situation. Well, I have been in so many hospitals and rehabs over the last ten years. And previous to that, I got relatives, my mother was in rehab, et cetera. And uncles and so forth. I got 5 stories if you got time. Sure. Okay. The first one is back to my mother. She had a bad case of shingles. Long before there was a vaccine for anything like that. So she was not able to get out of her bed. And they put her in a room with this other lady who had four kids, except some days, the kids wanted to write 20s. Other days, they were in a way 40. She didn't know, she had dementia some type. So she didn't even know how old her kids were. Grandkids, she had, et cetera. What they would do with her is they put her in a wheelchair and we all out in the morning to stay away from her breakfast, lunch and dinner. And then come back, they will bring her back in the room at night. And the first time we had this nice young CNA, he was actually a family as a med student. He was only money for his medical school. But what he would do is bring her in the room, pull the curtain, get her out of the wheelchair, and within a few minutes she would be yelling right for ten minutes. Right. Okay. And that occurred a couple of nights that it was the night that he was off. And what happens to female CNAs, watering, because they need a tool to get her out with their average share. They weren't strong enough. Themselves. And the same thing happened. The only rate. Because what she would do she would sit she will never go to law firm. She was a way for breakfast lunch at dinner. So when the embroidery back, they had to clean her up. And as soon as someone touched her private parts. She was the only way. But eventually I got my mother out of that room because it was she was getting worse and worse. But anyways, that's one story. I got a few others here. I can tell you're related to sherry. Okay. Oh yeah, I had this any four year old guy.

"You wanna do your key everywhere I'm Robbie James and it is march 15th so I had to play the ides of March. You wouldn't listen, the first chart record in 1966 on parent. I load up fine song all the way around. So Chicago's own hides of March. On the ides of March, 888-876-5593 is 88 88 roddy and we first check this out with Rick. Now so Rick, where is it you live Where is it? You said somebody wanted to where I live? Yes, Dennis wants. He thinks he might know you. Do I know again? I don't know. Dennis is a pilot and he's in fact he's calling from London right now. So I said, don't go away. Stay where you are. And let's see if we can't somehow bring on Dennis to join the conversation. So Dennis, are you there? I am rally and hello, Rick, Rick from Northern California. You never said what town it was, and since I grew up just north of you and grass valley, I was curious where you were in Northern California. A placerville area. Okay. That's right along this biome rally. Just go 49. This follow 49 up about the 3000 foot level in the Sierra Nevada western slopes. All right. Beautiful country. Well, so now you know, all right, so Rick, don't go away. Hang on. Okay. I'm not going to work. And so now Dennis, you're in London, huh? Yes. And I would much rather be an Abu Dhabi. We got to London, and I wanted to go down to the company's main office, their London office. Offices in Colorado, the London office and meet the team there. So I got on the train here in Luton, which is a fast hundred mile an hour ride down to the West End station, and then you get into. And I realized when I stepped off the train that the London underground is on strike. Oh no So, and they do these little kids he strikes where they strike for a day. Because when that goes on strike, it paralyzes the town. Well, sure. So I tried to get an Uber and the Uber driver Uber is getting pretty arrogant. If they're on the way to pick you up and they go, well, this I don't like this. They'll just shut you off. And we had two people that I called an Uber, found the driver. It's hot and away. And I texted him, tell him we were in blue jackets on the corner of the vessel and such. And he drove right by me, and as he drove right by me, I watched his car and he just kind of shook his head and kept going. I don't know what that's about. Oh man, find another one. And it was two hours to go 4.9 miles because the city is an absolute deadlock. So that's the two branding everybody goes on The Serpent. And it just goes to a stop. So we got to the main office did a thing went to is it a couple of swanky shops? Walk through a protest there was a whole bunch of teachers protesting. They want more money. I went by Barkley square and ended up walking all the way to saint pancras station from mayfair district. Yeah, it's a nice walk, but it's three miles, it would have been nice to do it on the tube. The tube is running today, but then the surface trains are going on strike. For a day. For a day, yes. So it always a day you want to use them, of course, now what is the issue? I don't know. It depends on the politics here. When labor starts to rear its head around here, they get full of themselves and they start striking and protesting. For a day. They want more money and. They used to do it the strikes used to do these to shut down the trains and the tube at the same day. And that just was devastating. Well, that would be the way to do it. If you're trying to get your point across, it would be good to coordinate it. I guess that angered enough people that it's backfired on them. But France is on strike every other week. We fly through there and there's sometimes I have to avoid France because air traffic control is on strike. Oh, that's funny. And that happened a few weeks ago, and then last week I flew some really nice, wonderful people from one ski event in Sweden to another one where we landed into loose France. Now, a strike had occurred there the day before, and we were landing like an hour after this so called strike ended. So I'm landing it to listen international airport, big airports, the factory of Airbus is there a lot that's going on. You see all these new Airbus planes and there's airliners there. But I landed and not a thing was moving. It was dead silent. It was quiet. There was nobody on the ramp, it's like I had landed in the middle of the Andromeda strings movie set. Hang on a minute. I'm going to leave you right there in the Andromeda strain. We'll pick it up in moments right here on WGN radio. "How are you, William? Pretty good. I'm pretty sure that the person who sucks the rainforest shield wall was at work with the primary scope was Steve Lancaster. It was Steve Lancaster. Yeah, I couldn't remember if it was him or didn't have a lockdown here that England or something as well. Chris England, that was under the 8 year shield holding on Canterbury with a duck versus that primary school standard for teacher. That was a great era. William, that's the first shield game I ever saw was that game with a loss to Auckland. Yeah. Just an amazing game. Gross Molly was the touch. Stunt verse was manager. Oysters always to steal dougie versus marks at an office. Yeah, shocking naughty boy. You're going to be in detention now, you know that, don't you? Oh no, I've got straight for it. Oh, that's good. But in my organization, wow, but just hard way. Where was the cool name? Well, thanks for that. Thanks for letting us know that one. Wilbur, William, whichever you prefer. But that's good, man. They are so Steve Lancaster. New is one of the Canterbury guys that fixed it up. Not a bad effort. Can anybody there's going to be someone else? This is it can be moment coming up now. Good evening crime. Hey, I am miles. I'm good, thanks. I heard that Wellington at an extra challenge on container at the end of the season. Once you see, have you been at the gym again? Even if you were legitimately playing this up here, we wouldn't put it on the line for you. Yeah, and it waits less than being Blair and I'm like special guest appearance of her year. No, actually, you're both wrong actually it was Scott Scotty England, was the one I did the shield up and night in that when we went. Is it Scott England? Anyway, but I knew that's where England was in there. Sort of a fight for the crusade of in Canada. But he wasn't Scotty England was definitely the one. I was when we went after I came out in 94, Andrew mittens and my own black complex error in the team. So that was that team has but after the Alex Wiley era, which was in the 80s that you were talking about was Wilbur, whatever his name was. I thought it was Chris England. Why is it Scott England? Chris England. Nickname was Scotty England. All right. Okay, so I was right. It was Chris England. There you go. Chris England. Yeah, he did right. Yeah, you were right before. Yeah, it was for today his nickname was Scotty England for some reason. Yes. Well, because it's Scotland and England, I suppose. Oh, probably, yeah. He might have. Yeah, I think there's a guy at play for a while. England or was it island friendly? I don't know. But yeah, but yeah, but it was definitely Chris Scotty England. That the shield up in the mid 90s after we want to hear. Yes, I remember quite a bit of publicity about it. Yeah, because I don't think it had been much done to it. That's because when I first came, I didn't know what the rent fully shield was. I had no idea of its history and all that sort of stuff. And I remember going round to a guy that I just met and I was doing a bit of work with. And he invited me up to this place in Ireland bayonas where 30 people then we watched that game, and what a cracking game. Well, yeah, I was on the embankment. Yeah, at 85 I know. Because it's three years, or 16, and when you lose it, sort of inmates and parents and family. I mean, hawkes bay. Congratulations to you guys. By the way, beating hawks bake because obviously we had a lot to them. But I know what it's like because you have it for that three year period. And then that day was a half time always doing my father turn around and said to me, oh, well if they can put 24 points on a weekend and I thought, oh, a couple of friends were with them. But they nearly did it. But what they did was quite green right near the end that kicked the way through and he chased it and didn't quite drag it in. That's right. The northern end of the field Craig greenway, I think Robbie dean's always, I think as Robbie dean's foot the up and under up and Craig, John clear was told to jump the ball of iron that was into touch, did the game was over here, it was a beautiful day with a surreal match, really. It was. I could talk on just annihilation in the first half, but yeah, a lot of great memories from that era, particularly always be my special can every year of all of them really with Alex Wally as coach, but and Wellington is a great use for each challenge down here. That was a great Stu Wilson and Bernie Fraser and mixed it all in the team. And obviously, yeah, Robbie James got a check from over half. I put his business one Smith scores in Bernie's corner and you win. Well, there was a wedding try the year before. Yeah, yeah, they saw a score that was in Dane's got the kicks on the sideline, but yeah, that was Wellington. That was the start of it all, yay. Just kept on going. And scores, yeah. That was transistor radio stuff, because obviously they didn't play them live. Then you watched it at 5. But listening on the radio to those things and I can remember listening to Lions tours on radios and England playing overseas on the radio and ridiculous times of the day before we had all this satellite and broadcast. Right all over the place. And there was some sort of romance about it, I think. I don't know. John Hess and it was a common side. He was the well is a very good comment. He was the guy that first gave me stuff to do for radio sport. Many years ago. John Houston. You always remember any commentary a lot of all black games are not TV, but it was a damn fine. I even sort of Graham moody's. I think Graham moody sort of took over from him. Moons is a great fantastic compound. Got a lot. I had a lot of time for mates. I can fart too early their Graham taking far too early. Hey, great to talk to you. Don't get too excited about a shield challenge because you've already played this this season and threats us down there. And we're not likely to hold on to it for more than a week, which is so I'm just going to enjoy this week. 180 ten, 89, two, 9, two, if you wish to send a text. Those moments you look back on. And we're not going to talk sport all night, so don't get too upset, but Wellington have won the rent fairly shield for the first time in 13
