Weekend Prop Bets: Sam Darnold

"Let's jump right into is one of my favorite roberts heading into this weekend. And that is sam. Darnold over is passing yards. Nothing has been posted yet. I'm sure we can close to kick off. It will be posted but man. You know a lot of people i think. Sleep on sam darnold because just the raw deal that he got here in new york. But i just i love. I love his offensive coordinator. I love that rule. The head coach. He's playing behind better offensive line he ever had here in new york with jets. You've got a plethora of talent to work with in on top of that this week. He's gone up against a gaggle rookie corners to sophomore quarters. And here's another thing a not a number all then were have not been drafted. We're not drafted higher than the fifth round. I mean i think sam darnold it could be a sneaky. Good play not just in the That world but in dfs as well. So i love. Sam darnold i also love. I think he's going to connect with robbie anderson don't forget robbie anderson or her jet as well two of them gonna wanna take it to the jets. Got ravi anderson scored a touchdown plus one ninety and also men the jets. They're just a complete mess. Jamison crowder's out. I think. Zack wilson is going to struggle. "Ball Game on the line. Fourth Down. Snap, Bridgewater Shotgun looks, fires all right Side. It's wide of the mark Well off the mark for Robbie Anderson. And finally, there is your late night dagger. Welcome to Monday morning, Quarterback. We're gonna do it on Monday, even though they played Saturday night and bringing in Brian the Good Morning, Brian. Good morning. You know, I just put this together in my head that dramatic NFL films music behind are open there, Steve, that those like strings and orchestra violins. I feel like I just never put it together in my head. What kind of ensemble That was, but it fires me up to talk. Packers football. That's how you do everything, Brian. Very, very grand. Very dramatic. Everything is plastic now and fake, You know that I could be out in the world. Everything is fast paced and quick. Follow Steve. It's my world. It is completely your generation's fault. But we'll overlook that because I like you, Brian. So let's talk about the Packers get a decent win over the the Panthers. It was a win that was expected. I think as I was watching the game, it was really a tale of the 1st 21 points scored by the Packers. I think the Panthers had three and then for whatever reason, a switch was flipped. And maybe you can explain it to me. The offense was unproductive. Looked like they were out of sorts. I understand mid games, you know, switches and so and, you know, changing your defense is before they They looked out of sorts for most of the rest of that game. You're right. The first half looked easy, right? They were just cruising up and down the field, moving the ball it well, and I thought the start of the first half Stephen and tell me if you think differently was Aaron Jones. Aaron Jones was Running all over the place for the Green Bay Packers, And that was the big difference for me in the second half. He had 12 rushing in times in the first half, finished with eight. But it feels like the Packers just kind of abandoned the run especially early in the second half and got themselves into some trouble just with some some quicker drives that didn't pan out and go on as long as they probably should have. So that was my interpretation. I asked Wayne larvae on Wisconsin's Morning news earlier this morning what he thought Went wrong from his perspective with the offense in the second half. He's explanation was far more concerning to me. And that was that the Carolina Panthers explosive expose some flaws in the Packers offensive line, which could become a big issue going forward. Nick and Dallas already weighing in on the action of Maureen's talking text line, You could do that as well. 85561616 20 on Nick and Dallas, The Bridgewater for school and Fumble Recovery was the defensive player of the year. 14 Point swing, and we definitely needed it. Yeah, that was a huge one cause the Panthers were getting back in this thing and all of a sudden that happened well, especially with the final score, right? I mean, the Panthers were knocking on the door. They end up losing by eight points, and it's obviously a different football game if they're able to punch it in there close to the end of the first half, so I totally agree. That was a gigantic played by Chris Barnes, the linebacker common in on punching the ball out, but really, even bigger than that, Steve just understanding what Carolina was trying to do there. He knew that Teddy Bridgewater was going to try and go up and over because on that kind of play, you see it in the NFL every single week. All the quarterback has to do is break the plane. He only has to get the ball up and over the plane, and that's a touchdown regardless of if he fumbles. Responds, punched it out before you had a chance to break the planet obviously turned into a gigantic play for the Packers defense. You know, and we could get wrapped up in all the drama of these of these games. And as they always like to say they being all the experts about the NFL win is a win, even even at home in the package has been incredible at home. And and so so on the road, but you look at this team. They're playing inferior opponent. But if you look at the Carolina schedule this year and the results they've played a lot of close games, so that indicates to me. They're not as bad as the record May may indicate. Yeah, I thought the same thing and I asked a layer of you about that as well last Friday before this game, and he kind of you know, he put me back in my place and said Brian, therefore and nine they saw that's my I'm paraphrasing, but I agree with you. I don't necessarily agree with agree with Wayne is much there. I think this is a team with some talent that is still in the first year of a rebuild under a first year head coach Hex D. They fired their GM about 20 minutes ago. So they're restructuring the entire organization that Carolina Panthers are, but they are a scrappy bunch with some talented dudes on the outside offensively, and it showed on Saturday night at Lambeau. Brian D. Joining for joining me for Monday morning quarterback not I don't like to read too much into the audio and video we see on the sidelines at games and I did notice that there was a lot of Consternation in the face of Aaron Rodgers. He was trying to figure out the rush that was coming at him. The fact that his receivers weren't weren't able to get open. I know demand that was double covered. How much do you put in in in the scheme versus what the defense is showing you When it comes to the Attackers office, they were brilliant. When they scored their first three touchdown. I think I believe the first three drives of the game, but after that they scored three points, so something clearly happened. Whether it was a defensive ship, whether it was some miscommunication. Where do you Where do you see the problem there? Well, like I said earlier, I think it's it's twofold. It's it's number one. The Packers offensive line was not giving Aaron a bunch of time to get the you know Tolo the football and as a result on the back end Wide receivers didn't have much time to get open. So I think the Packers offensive line is a little bit to blame. And then on top of that, like I said, I think they just went away from the run game that was working so well in the first half, So I think some of what happened in the second half was absolutely self inflicted, and the Carolina Panthers took advantage of it. Ryan be joining me for Monday morning Quarterback. You're welcome to join the conversation as well. 85561616 20. That is the action of Morgan's talking text line Monday morning Quarterback back with your calls texts. And a conversation about a big picture. Way to look at the Aaron Rodgers career and this season, something that he accomplished on Saturday night that's worth mentioning. We get to all of that and more right here in WTMJ, you're listening to the Monday morning quarterback on Wisconsin's radio station, WTMJ. "Away news radio. Okay, wait. Broncos. Sorry. Is the k away Fantasy football. Our Broncos countdown to kickoff coming from south of the hour. Ryan Edwards, Benjamin. All right, give us a call Three or 3713, 85 85 or 56690. Got other fancy question coming in on the text line gets that second, too. But first been what's our fancy football update? Dennis Whipple update is presented by a red bird farms. That's real chicken tastes like pickups. Red Bird farms. Chicken is your local king Soopers City market. We're safe way and make your fantasy meal tonight. We ought to call us the Julio Jones segment Has we always update me on Julio Julio is out. For this one. Cardinals running back in and drag listed as questionable, is expected to play as his Raiders running back Josh Jacob's Vikings tight and Kyle Rudolph not expected to play Brandon Cooks and Kiki Beauty, each listed as questionable. Both are expected to play. Okay. There you go. Very good information there. Ben Appreciate that. Well, before we get to the pioneers of the game, the question of the text line Robbie Anderson or Tyler Lockett. I gotta feel I kinda feel like these air a little bit of a coin flip. I probably lean Robbie Anderson on Lee because he's been basically the wide receiver one. But he's definitely the wide receiver one today and the Broncos without a Jade Buddha without Price, Callahan. They're They're starting cement experienced guys. In the secondary. All it takes is one of Robbie Anderson T get down the sideline and running in for a touchdown on a go route that they can't cover so I'd probably lean Robbie Anderson. Today. I kind of feel is, though this one is a is a little bit of an either or And honestly, Robbie Anderson's probably been a little bit more consistent this year than Tyler Lockett has as far as value. Tyler Lockett will have his three touchdown games. But then he'll have games will have one or two catches. And the Jets are just a weird team, so I I like Tyler Lockett a lot today. I still think he's like a top 15 play, but a private Robbie Anderson, just a hair ahead of him. It's close. Yeah, I I think that Seattle's gonna get up quick. So if if Tyler Lockett doesn't get those early catches, that could be a problem for his production late. So you're gonna with me on that. Robbie Anderson? Yeah, I think so. Okay. All right. We'll round out our DFS conversation again. In the meantime, if you wanna give us a call, she was the text. Please do but first, let's get to Alan Jackson with our pioneers of the game. Okay, guys. Pioneers of the game is brought to you by Pioneer landscapes enters today's date. December 13th and on this date and Broncos history. Marshall is inside of Royal slot left Gaffney with Graham inside of him to the right side as organism, the shotgun. Three man rush organ sets throws There's Marshals 21st catch. He breaks an NFL record. He laterals and the ball is gonna be caught by Chris Cooper, who roubles out to the 26 with four yards shy of the First. "I was surprised that Robbie Anderson went to the Carolina Panthers. Let's talk about that and also what happens to the jets now with him gone and signing Perriman? Well I hate the fit for rb Anderson. I'll be completely honest. I'm sure Robbie Anderson is happy with it. He gets his money. He gets to be reunited with his college coach. Matt rule coached him at Temple. Cherry and white there in Philadelphia but a Robbie Anderson somebody who was a top wide receiver in air yards per target averaged at the target. A terrible fit with teddy bridgewater. My opinion I I don't tear Teddy. Bridgewater is one of the least aggressive quarterbacks in all football of he actually averaged the fewest yards per pass attempt among any quarterback in the NFL last year so not a great fit for Robbie Anderson but it does help teddy bridgewater who I think's a really interesting. Qb To in best ball because he is surrounded with good weapons in Carolina. Dj Bore Curtis Samuel Robbie Anderson Ian Thomas Christian McCaffrey. It's a pretty good supporting cast. So I think it helps teddy but Robbie Anderson's a wide receiver five for me. I really do not like this fit at all. I wonder if this means Curtis Samuel is going to be skinned closer. To the line of scrimmage that would be great news for him because as we talked about on the podcast he had the most unconverted areas in the NFL last year. Because Kyle Allen could not hit him down the field it. Curtis Samuel is able to be used. Closer to the line of scrimmage Then that that's a little bit more interesting for somebody who was more of a pure deep threat last year. A Robbie Anderson Skill set is pure deep threat and I don't think pure deep threat fits well with Teddy Bridgewater especially when he's competing for targets with all these other options so robby enersen not a great fit for him fantasy though for the New York. Jets who actually ended up saving a little bit of money signing Rashad Perriman as it stands right now. Bershad Paran is the New York jets number one wide receiver and I would draft him as a wide receiver. Three right now because they have nothing else now. They're they're a team. That's prime to draft multiple wide receivers including one of the judy rugs CD lamb guys at the top end of the first round. They're going to come out of this draft. I think with at least two wide receivers because in addition to per shot airmen. They have Jamison crowder. Josh Dotson Quincy and none Wa. Braxton Berrios is not a good list of names for the New York jets. They're going to draft. Somebody Berate now Rashad Perriman. He kind of replicates Robbie Anderson Skill set with Sam Darnold. Sam Darnold has a little bit of Jameis Winston in them kind of that Yolo. Hey I'm going to throw the ball down the field author bunch interceptions but also make some big plays. I really liked paramount skill. Set in that offense I kinda liked him as a wide receiver. Three at this point. I like way more than I like Robbie Anderson Profanity very interesting. Okay I guess the other guys I wanted to ask you about Devin. Funchess in Green Bay is data. Thing is is is he a fantasy thing probably not only because I view his skill set is kind of similar to that of Allen Lazard who actually came on late last season. I think he can make maybe a red zone impact. I I wouldn't be shocked at. There's some weeks or like at funchess for DFS thrown in there for minimum price. He's going to be like a fourteenth round type of guy for fantasy That's where I would draft him. At least I would still take Allen lazard ahead of them but what this does is Marcus Valdas gambling. I mean forget about it and he. He was given his opportunity last year. He fell flat on his face. So I still like Lazar better than funches nor do I think this precludes the packers from drafting wide receiver either. So definitely not something that as we stand right now before the draft. I'm terribly interested in with Devin funchess. But he might get four or five touchdowns. So here's my other question Joe. We don't really talk finances here that much. I was surprised that Robbie Anderson and Paramount didn't get more or that some of these wide receiver needy teams. Didn't sign those guys for a little bit more but a guy like the Marcus Robinson. Getting two and a half million from the chiefs. She's their fourth guy behind Watkins Hill and Hartman. I was a little surprised. Nobody's signed him to compete to be there two or three Abihu. I agree with you. I'm surprised that team like the Colt. So the Eagles didn't take a shot on them and we know that those teams are really hurting at wide receiver and signing demarcus Robinson is not going to fix that okay but what he does do is give you another body out there Right now the eagles topped three wide. Receivers are Alshon Jeffery. Sean Jackson and Greg Ward Jeffrey Jackson. Didn't make it through the your healthy jeffries. Coming off a list Frank Surgery and Greg Ward was a former college quarterback who was promoted off the practice squad and became eagles best receiver at appearance sesame last year. So I'm a little surprised. Eagles did not add a body at that position. I'm surprised the colts have not done so because I don't think they're supporting cast is very good outside of T. Y. Hilton so yeah. I mean if the Eagles would have signed somebody like demarcus Robinson for four five million dollars I look. I wouldn't be telling you to draft him in the sixth round but I would be saying all right at least have a body here were they. Don't have to go out and be so aggressive in the draft and you know it's just I thought Robbie Anderson for instance. I thought he was somebody paramount as well. Who were hitting the market at fortuitous time for them because the only really top wide receiver on the market was Amari Cooper so I was like param in flashed at the end of last year. Robbie Anderson's a younger guy because this free agent market was so weak at the wide receiver position. I thought these guys baby might make a couple extra bucks than than they would. In a normal market turns out it was the opposite because they're hitting the market in a bad market when everybody knows that there is a historically great draft class potentially historically great draft class at the position coming up and it seems like teams like the Eagles teams like the colts. They've decided that you know what we're not going to try to take a half measure here by signing Bouchard Perriman. And maybe he was a maybe he's GonNa turn back into a Pumpkin. They're deciding they're going to take the full measure and they're going to go nuts in the draft the downside for teams like India and Philadelphia especially because Philly soul has its first round. Pick the downside for somebody like Philly is everybody knows you need wide receivers so if you're GONNA try to trade up. Maybe philly tries to trade up for CD lamb. They're going to put a premium on that pick. Maybe somebody trades in front of you because they know you wanNA wide receiver. A little Birdie told me this past week that when the Philadelphia Eagles took Jj Artha whiteside the pick right before that. Kansas City traded in front of him and took Nicole Hardman. I was told the eagles were prepared to take Nicole Hardman with that. Pick so when you have a need teams know that. Hey we're GONNA force you to pay up if you WANNA trade up and teams behind you know they have to trade past you to get a wide receiver. So I was a little surprised. The Eagles didn't add anybody at that position. Same thing with the colts and now the colts don't even have a first round picks They traded out for deforest. Buckner so I was very surprised that somebody like demarcus Robinson who nobody's GonNa say as superstar Ross but I was a little bit surprise that he didn't get a little bit more interest from these wide receiver. Needy teams were. Maybe he could come in and compete to be their number two wide receiver Joe. That was fantastic. You know what else is fantastic betting on stuff and I know there's no NBA Nhl Ram Ob. But you can go to bed online right now. Bet Season Win. "Wide receiver market is finally moving. So let's go through it. We mentioned The Panthers Moving on from Cam Newton while they welcomed former jet Robbie Anderson on a two year twenty million contract Schefter had it as twelve million in two thousand twenty. He reunites with Matt rule which little bit connect the dots that nobody else really done. At least I haven't seen it Anderson was undrafted at a temple but his coach at temple was Matt Rule so This is a I think a quality signing for any team especially at that price the word throughout December and into January and then Leading up to free agency was that Robbie Anderson thought he can get anywhere from thirteen to fifteen million. He doesn't really come close to that. But the Teddy Bridgewater Lead. Panthers now have a deep threat to do some damage

What could TE Austin Hooper bring to Packers offense?

"Was a report from. I think it was robbed a mosque. Who covers the Green Bay packers and he made you know at least the packers are aware that they need more pask actors? They reportedly planned to add two of them via free agency and the draft. And you can certainly get a bunch. But I'm not sure that the guy that he talked he said they're played into. Target Austin Hooper. I'm not sure that's what Aaron Rodgers really needs. I would rather see somebody more explosive. I don't know what you think about that but either released Jimmy Graham who's just Zaslov signing for them. I would note that Matlin. Flair was the Falcons quarterbacks coach when Austin who was a rookie in two thousand sixteen in Atlanta But Yeah I. I don't know I'm not sure awesome. Hooper is exactly what fixes. What's wrong with Green Bay right now? Which is clear. It's Green Bay at margin only feels comfortable throwing to Davante Adams. Yeah I think they're awesome. Hooper would be fine signing You give the packers a solid possession tight end just really reliable. Almost eighty percent career catch. Ray Can block enough from a dynasty standpoint. He would block J Sternberg who drafted in the third round. This past year in. I mean I really liked him coming at a at a Texas. A&m But you know. Yeah he he would be a big roadblock in the way of j Sternberg. I'm completely with you. Though in Syria I mean I. I think that they should sign two guys. I mean I think that Al Having Allen Lazard as your number two option. The passing game isn't good enough and I think that even if they signed someone like Austin Hooper. I think should go robby Anderson. You know I think that Robbie Anderson Opposite Davante Adams would give them Just a completely different dynamic in their passing game. I think that they need some any they I think they need an explosive field stretcher. And Yeah if I was. I would focus on a guy like Robin Anderson. I mean mark has vowed is scant laying in theory had the skill set to be that guy but he just did not take a second year. Yeah there were some reports from Our friend Matthew Berry had noted that era jittery like Salazar staff-related Allen. So I think they're going to add a wide receiver for sure. But for now I would consider Allen Lazard the front runner for the number two wide receiver job. Assuming they don't add anybody which then was certainly

"They feel Belkin ad that they're going to Miss Chris Herndon the tight end who they absolutely love. He's a guy you can split out. Why I missed the first four games? They've got Robbie Anderson who's clearly a vertical dimension but they don't have great receivers but I think they'll be an interesting team as the year progresses versus when they get back and think Adam Gates does a really nice job with his route concept. He's really good at attacking defenses understanding. What defenses are you're playing and designing routes that be coverage? I say Mitch Trubisky and Lamar Jackson are similar to me. I think they have ceilings that are fairly lowest throwers. They're both with athletic. They need on their rookie deals a lot of support to win when you eventually have to pay him. I don't think there is good say as Dak who gets a lot of criticism DAX better than both both I think trubisky Lamar are limited so join our talking about this yesterday. Baltimore's gone all in on the march running and they're like we've got to run in two thousand times. We've got to pardon me AH join. I are like that doesn't organised league long-term but he's growing as a quarterback. Could I not argue for a year. That's what Seattle did with Russell make plays into your figure out. Eh Russell was who is a better thrower. Lamar did not throw the ball well last year. He actually threw it better his last year at Louisville then he did last year in the N._F._l.. Now they have Greg Roman is their offensive coordinator and as you may recall Greg Rome was the offensive coordinator for Colin Kaepernick in the first couple years cabernet played well and they're going to run a lot of that stuff. It'll be a lot of multiple tight ends and it'll be run game. The quarterback will be part of that. The thing is I think the league defense is that better now than they did when Cabernet started doing it because it was kind of new to the N._F._l.. At some point Lamar is going to throw the ball from the pocket. You have to do that in a league what they WANNA do obviously is trying to create situations in which they can get predictable fixable fronts predictable coverages and then have Lamar throw versus those where everything is defined four him now obviously he can run and he can create problems for defenses offensive with his running. The question is how much can you do that on a week to week basis yeah and I and I think when you get to the play offs and you face better defenses and better coaches and better coordinators coordinators. That's where I think trubisky Lamar Trubisky was frustrating for Matt Nagy last year in the playoffs. They're lazy could make and Nagy does a really nice job as well. Scheming throws rose but trubisky and again it doesn't mean trubisky can't be successful and I made this point a couple of weeks ago to someone and I took a lot of grief for trubisky is not a natural throw of the foot he's not he's got kind of a funky delivery. He's a little bit of a pusher. He lifts his back leg off the ground before he delivers the ball which means he locks his front leg which makes it difficult for them to really drive the football so he's got some limitations as a passer but again now you're getting into scheme. Nagy scheme can really help it doesn't mean he can't throw twenty-six touchdown and be at least a quality n._f._l.. quarterback it's not I'm not suggesting he's GonNa throw four touchdowns and thirty picks but I think there are some limitations limitations to his throwing ability so the only question you never answer on my show and that makes me laugh is an I agree with you when people say okay when people suggest that Nick foles is better than Carson well. That's ridiculous be just won't answer the question. It's ridiculous. Ridiculous thank you it is ridiculous not even worth the conversation conversation exactly you and I can have a cocktail be looking for conversation and would by the way I love Nick foles and he's a terrific.

Robbie Anderson Robbie, Keenan Allen And Packers discussed on Fantasy Focus Football

"All right time now for one of our favorite segments of the week. It's wide receiver cornerback matchups with my clay. But before we get into the wide receiver cornerback matchup. We're going to solicit information from our good friend. Kyle soppe on the IBM insight of the week, featuring Robbie Anderson Robbie. Anderson. Romance by Packers this week. He's gone over fifteen point six points in consecutive games. And IBM Watson gives them a twenty two point seven percent chance to do it again this weekend. But he also carries a twelve point five percent bus chance, which would mean four or fewer points. You don't like that idea? Can it be a wide receiver three or a flex play for you this weekend? Mike the Packers don't have a lot defensively, but they do have to rookie Cornerbacks. That are impressive most specifically gyro exander. No question. He has been impressive. They also have Josh Jackson in there. They can good too. Yeah. He has been he's been up and down for sure, but shot and is a guy. Yeah. No question. He's an umbrella. He played outside. So he's been in the slot as of late. So they've some talent there for sure but they're still give up a ton of fantasy production. It's kind of like you think about Pittsburgh, right? Might kill them is really good song corner. But they get destroyed by slot receivers every every single week based on matchups against linebackers and safeties things along those lines unless the Packers have been destroyed by receivers all season long third-most. Fantasy points allowed to the permettre over the past two months. Six most over the past month, you'll get Robbie interested primarily perimeter receiver. Seventy six percent of the time. He's on the outside. He'll see the rookies Alexander and Jackson throughout this game. In his Kyle just pointed to he's getting volume as of late seven plus targets during five of his past teams seventy five and a touchdown during each of his past two games. So he is bounce back after that slow start, which is good. He's I think he's a very talented player. Sam darnold found a way to get him the football. And I think he is a wide receiver three or flexes weak little risky. But again, how many times we're going to say this throughout the show if you like that thirty to fifty range of receiver. It's a lot of a lot of guys with high ceilings and low floors. Yeah. No, no doubt about that. Especially in week sixteen when the stakes are so high, right? And the reality is a lot of people playing in the championship may not be making decisions about players that are kind of flimsy in terms of outlook. Right. Like, you have studs at you're going with. But there have been plenty of injuries. There have been you know, you may feel less confident because it quarterback doesn't. Play and as a pertains to a wide receiver. There are reasons to be a bit concerned be looking for reinforcements. Maybe no del. Maybe. No, no, Josh Gordon on Sunday. We'll see about Julio Jones, for example, players like that who could be out or limited. We'll see Keenan Allen, by the way, and what start with some news here before we get into the match up. He has with the ravens on Saturday night. But to find you it sounds like things are trending in the right direction here for Keenan Allen, right? And our Adam Schefter reporting today that Keenan Allen is expected to play you know, as I had mentioned earlier in the week. This is really a pain and functionality issue with a hip pointer, not a serious structural issue. But really how well could he function as the week progressed in his house like he's turned a corner, and they're feeling very optimistic about his ability to go I still maintain that the one thing you're concerned about is. If you look back at the video of when it got hurt he goes up in the air. He lands, you know, really hard directly on that. Right. Hip. It wouldn't take as much to flare it up and cause them to have to come out. But kim. Keenan Allen is one tough guy. And so I don't expect to see it. "Come true. All right waiver wire lighting around decay again one last week or wire lightning round. Yeah. All right. We don't know your leagues quite like you guys. We certainly don't know your championships, but we do have thoughts. So whether you guys are, well, there's not much monitoring on the waiver wire slap. But if you're gonna plug these guys in some guys, we really liked this week that could be surprises so Deka. Yeah. We'll knots waiver lightning round. Should we do? All right. I guy on my list. Probably Anderson of the jets gone up against the Packers definition of late, by the way, Robbie Anderson. What I'm very mad at Robbi Anderson because he was like. People drafted him in like, the fifth round this year, twelve Edison. In fact, he is fifth in the league in areas. The last four weeks he's a bit of a a boom bust guy. Obviously a deep threat last week. He had eleven targets seven catches ninety six yards and a touchdown. Now's a team high eleven targets twenty nine at target share since darnold is returned from injury. So obviously those to kind of have gotten onto the same page and the Packers give up quite a few points to fantasy receivers fourth most points per game two receivers this year. So it's it's a risky move. Obviously, we, you know, he's kinda got that low for, but you know, if you're looking for like, a contrarian player, whatever he he's got that upside as a deep threat, you could have touched under to kind of out of the blue and the Packers are not playing for anything at this point. So I like that I like that matchup. Darnold is looked a little bit better of late. And so they're kind of moving in the right direction Robbie Anderson's gonna win somebody third like that's what he's an you're gonna be battling for third place. You're going to Keenan Allen you're like he's not gonna play. Okay. Final set Robbie Anderson. He'll go put up twenty seven and you'll get third. You heard from Craig Robert Foster last week. Yep. Too little too late for me, Robby speaking. All right. This is actually one of my Kaelin Balaj on the dolphins who worked at this. Come from. Yeah. Well, I I mean, I people. Jim early the season number. Matthew berry was like all over. Amac athletes. They're Wild Thing. I mean logic is not covered the Miami Dolphins this year. No idea. What Kenyan Drake has done? It's still good deeply upset. Somebody is not somebody Adam gays. The clearly hit each other. No idea. What's going on not religious made that up? I like that could come off as if there's not a report. I used to have shouts to Franco for second. He was carted off. But this blew my mind saw this. He's started one hundred twenty two consecutive games for running back. The next running backs behind him in second Christian McCaffrey and Peyton barber with seventeen..

"Right. What about Robbie Anderson though, Robbie Anderson seven catches ninety six yards and a touchdown. He's a guy that's eighteen percent own. But his last two games he scored and they put the Packers. And again, we talked about Sam darnold. So if you darnold or think he could be a plan he's got through to somebody in Robinson's or big play receiver. Yeah. But I get the wide receivers pretty slim at the moment, though, we gotta be honest time big time. All right. So what about? I don't know, man. Do you want to do you have any tight 'cause I I can consider this guy. Ted in Vernon Davis. Does he's only nine percent owned and only only to pacifist sixty yards. But he's had some games where he can be a player. I know this is such a long shot that Antonio gates, those only to really I can think of I know they're old and they're veterans. But I don't know. I can see them having games where they can come in with clutch touchdowns because it's having four, but that's that's a big. If for me what about a Blake juror win on the Cowboys. He fourballs for forty five yards. And then the week before seven for fifty six it's not exciting. But they play. I don't doesn't get through balls and throw them in the end zone. Played Tampa Bay this week. So maybe he'll do something. Maybe that's that's determine what about defenses. Well, you gotta look at the two teams that got shut out the titans and the colts defense. Of those are probably owned though. Right. The times are only forty nine percent. Really? Yeah. And what about the colts? I will check the Kohl's. I believe they're twenty five percent. It'd be to pick of or do they have good matchup sixty. Let's see the Colt play. I will look this up. Actually, I'm curious. Really like this. If shown out happens in next week, obviously, it's not gonna happen twice. But I think it's going to be huge lament shift. So the titans play the Redskins. That's a good, man. And the cold play the giants yet is our up the colts. I think both of them. But honestly, if I had two big between one or the other I'm picking the colts because the giants are easier Macha. So I have another one how about the dolphins. The dolphins are coming from pretty rough game though. Right. But they saw at six fantasy points because they scored a touchdown. But here's the thing. They are playing Jackson. They're playing Jacksonville dad's. He can't throw the ball. All and the dolphins are needing a win Jacksonville's out. But dolphins winning that game. They still make it to the playoffs. Something xactly. Exactly. So I'm playing I'm playing the opponent here. The dolphins defense is mediocre. But you're playing Cody Kessler. He had fifty seven passing yards yesterday. It's and if he doesn't play it's going to be Blake Bortles, and he's well, we know him. So also win. In win. So at home just a sweet in this DeLeon further. It's a win win for the Miami. Dolphins defense. Definitely so. Yeah. I think then the colts and the titans all look pretty good on defensive wise. Okay. So let's go to a break come back. We'll talk about some injury updates. If we have some or some concerns players that you need to be looking at in case you have to adjust your roster and what their outlook excite. Not get you. Cooney aunt and.

Jets trade Bridgewater to Saints for third-round pick

"As suspected. It happened sooner than later. The New York Jets have traded teddy Bridgewater who was battling Sam darnold for the starting quarterback job. Sam darnold is now the officials starting quarterback for the New York Jets. They realize he's really good. He should have been number one. He dropped them at three. So the jets are going to get draft picks according to Adam. Schefter draft picks are coming to the New York Jets in exchange for Sam darnold, and this is what we theorize and the last forty eight hours is that when you add, this is what I said. Two days ago I went into this year thinking teddy Bridgewater starts and I still think teddy mornings a little bit better. But the gap is so close with darnold and Bridgewater. Are you better off the jets have one of the five easiest NFL schedules and it's real workable in the first six weeks. Trade teddy get draft picks, and just our Bill met offensive line. I don't. Here's another thing to throw out there. Khalil Mack jets have been rumored jets have Eytan elite safety, Jamal Adams, Tremaine Johnson at corner. Leonard Williams on an offensive line. They don't have a pass rusher. They were Twenty-eight than sacks. Do you get a couple of draft picks? And then you go to the raiders and say, we'll give you draft picks. We want Khalil Mack and then you've got an elite edge rusher and elite corner and elite safety. You have a defensive minded head coach. You keep Sam darnold in those games or the adjust grab all the picture. Can you go to your scouting department and say next two years? What are the offensive line look like in college football, you go to your NFL scouts and say, are they're going to be offensive lineman on the market? Because what you gotta do for the jets right now, you gotta get enough of line that thing's a mess. It's it's, it has moments when it can pass block a little. It does not run block. Well. Now the jets receivers are not great, but if Robbie Anderson can keep it buttoned up and curse there. Okay. It's not a disaster. They're receiving core depend. Terrell Pryor can Terrell Pryor, stay focused. Robbie Anderson, stay engaged. The got something, but they got no running backs up note, not good at tight end offensive line is really, really poor, but the jets are making a decision and they're making a decision that all of us have watched. Sam darnold is head and shoulders to me better than all these rookie

"I still paying for an office visit or, oh, well, then it'd be upset. Yes, I'm still paying for that. Meanwhile, so Josh Allen in line to start Sam darnold also potentially line to start after darnold. Second game didn't go quite as well as the first game, but still he did some good things and the latest reports out of New York late last night early this morning out of the jets camp is that Donald is trending to start. He got more reps than anybody else at the first team in practice yesterday, third, preseason game coming up against the giants today. I know you're not a big fan of him starting right away. The jets are my team and I'm nervous what you're going to say about this. I actually think they got the best quarterback of lot. True. Like I think the giant screwed up. I think the Browns screwed up. I do. And so that said you like, well, why wouldn't you start them right away. I know they play on paper easier competition early than they do late. And I know and it's three games in ten days and he'd get a ton of reps, but do that offensive line sucks that offense align is awful and they're playing with at the right guard, and they're left tackle in their last preseason game, and he constantly under duress. And some of that is good. Like you want him to see some adversity. You want to see if he can process what he's seeing. And then when he's when he has to move when he has to adjust when he has to manipulate the pocket, can you then still kind of lock in on where everybody's supposed to be an how they're supposed to be right. That is that's kind of next level stuff. Yes. But I also remember David Carr, and I fear not even not even getting hurt like, I'm not that kind of masochist. It's more I fear that he doesn't get a chance to set his feet to catch his breath that he's that that he begins is NFL career on the run on the move and it hurts his his overall upside. Yeah, I, I guess I fear. The David Kerr effect that he can tell you more what this, what it looks like in the sky. They can't what it looks like in the end zone. 'cause that offense line is, I'm gonna say at best one of the five worst in football, you know, the tight end group is nameless the, it's not even if you had enough of line. I'm not sure who you're going to hand the football too. I think the wide receivers little bit better than people think they are like Robbie Anderson's gotta be incredible considering what Robbie Anderson said to the cop and he got pulled over. Sure, right lane just still play. It's still be on that team saying that to a police officer, he's gotta have a supreme supreme out of town. So it's not that I don't like Donald. I loved Arnold. I think he's, I think he's the nuts. I think he's the deal. I just you've seen that often. So it's awful and three games in ten days and Dusit can be thrown exotic blitzes after him. And I feel like they'll be bad habits and a lot of sacks and possibly some injuries feel like you're better off. Just wait. He's gonna be your. Back for the next decade. You don't have to play him day one because once you start him now you can't pull them. Whereas if you start McGown he was good. Last use fine. Last year's fine. Then you start Bridgewater when out sudden like you saw in the second preseason game, I think you can get an asset for bridge win. Somebody needs a quarterback. They'll trade for Bridgewater. You get a second or you get it third round pick or you get a player that you need enough into lime in that you need in order to fill up your coffers so that you can't protect

"Like if I had ruled the dice earlier in my drafts on a player that we have someone certainty surrounding at wide receiver I'm just going to. I one name that comes to mind is like if you're not Vincent Amari, Cooper can be the player. He was again or you had Sammy Watkins earlier on in the draft. Like I don't know that I'm taking Robbie Anderson if I was able to land with my first round, pick someone of the ilk of Antonio, Brown, DRA Hopkins, maybe I feel more comfortable. Robbie Anderson? Yeah, same way because I don't really know totally what the offense is going to look like. And feel like we get these spikes every Seaver also don't really know what Quincy noon is. Gonna look like, here's a guy who. All last season because of a disc problem in his neck. And you know his is doing well, apparently took the red, no contactors off this past weekend. So obviously making progress through training camp. But what what does he present for them in the mix? And we don't really know how he's going to look physically just getting back into the game. And and how does that impact what Robbie, Andrew, I feel like Robbie Anderson is the big play guy. You know, he's the excitement on the jets. We saw him make some exciting place, but consistently I, I don't know if I trust him in my lineup, weakened weak up. That's the question Mark. There will continue to follow and another player that let's watch how things play on training camp. I don't know that we have a resolution on some of the legal matters with Robbie interested in there could make some NFL disciplines. Let's keep an eye on that as well. A Twitter question comes from Mr. j. c. seventy seven asking if as of August I the jets heavy single player. You consider a weekly. Order and a standard ESPN league. I think if you listen to what we said about each player, you probably know where we're going to lean on this. I think right now the answer is no. A single blade, you consider weekly cetera. The closest would obviously be interested in Crowell. But if the season started today and attend team league, you think any of those guys crackers rest, irrespective tardy starting lineups. Ten does make tough. I think the answer is definitively yes, in a twelve team or and attend teamer I would say Anderson and crawl, flex guys are inflexible defying any scream at there. I just don't know that I pick it anybody to be weekly starter for me in the I would I would not be averse to a late round, pick on someone who I think could contribute. But if you're asking me now when it's August, I and I don't really the roles aren't as well defined. I haven't seen any preseason action. I'm hedging. All right. So I'm getting Anderson and coil on the staff. I was going to go third and fourth round respectively..

"Been there that i'm just not ready to go in on robbie anderson being a wide receiver too i think those are valid arguments we have to remember he is he is very fast very tall and he had problems in college that's part of why he went undrafted he's got problems now but the reality is he's very talented i think sam darnold is an upgrade over their inevitable backup situation because we all know josh mccown cannot play sixteen games ru i you know i think that's why i ranked him a little bit higher but if i were to scroll back here on my show no pad i can show a no roll scroll you're scrolling can show a note here that i had from my last ripe so robby anderson arrow down anderson arrow down so i i do agree that that the the fact that he was thrust into that wide receiver one role now he's going to have to re earn it so it's a little tough for me to give him i have him right now with one hundred i five targets whereas i've got like quincy noon wa i think at eighty eight targets so i should add balance out a little bit more you know the purpose of these shows isn't simply to debate one another it's actually in the case of someone like robbie anderson you know these are polarizing players to rank therefore there is either great value in them or great risk depending on what argument you buy into i can see a player like robbie interesting if he drops down the list but can produce as a top twenty wide receiver like he did last year that's a steal but if you over invest any flames out then then you cost yourself so that's kinda the situation i'm just i'm very concerned about his touchdown regression coming all right you guys want to hold me the grindstone head j all right so here with the next guy we've got we've got a player who is very good on a very good offense.

"Big year for the undrafted rookie robbie anderson and dramane curse also having a nice year catching footfaults last couple of games two hundred and sixty two yards is that the exact same number of yards for the years two marius thomas thomas as to fewer touchdowns two jets with a chance to get to fix them seven and make the broncos a mindboggling three and an member they started free and one has won at sports authority field or whatever they're calling it now it is our number nine in the game of the week number eight detroit at tampa bay and even the silverdome won't go down without a fight and the same can maybe be said birds former occupants now the lions radio hope is their remaining schedule no team with a winning record left on it starting with this one matthew stafford unable to finish a game last week in baltimore them and finally jake rude act through an nfl pass and it was immediately picked off return for a score by eric well and no laughing allowed jamus winced him he the terrible fumble last week he would return for a touchdown probably caused the buccaneers a win and let's say that says symptomatic of winstons issue he is at the end of its third season now any still making these reckless game costing mistakes and this lions defense is built to take advantage of of not even force in the last year opposing passer completed an nfl record seventy two point six percent of their passes against detroit lions secondary they're almost ten percentage points better than pat this year although joe flaco wasn't very impressed last week best amy fat all year at the lions expense stafford trying to fight through that a hand injury to play this game he's already passed twenty five hundred yards through the air this year that makes it seven straight years of that every other lions quarterback combined ever has a total of seven of those seasons so hey dad man his money said teddy kgb in the lions have done that and for very good reason tampa.

detroit lions eric nfl jake baltimore lions tampa teddy kgb joe flaco robbie anderson buccaneers jamus matthew stafford tampa bay broncos thomas thomas dramane twenty five hundred yards sixty two yards six percent
