Is Tutu Atwell Too Small to Succeed in the NFL? - burst 08

"Now to god. The i know that you are extremely enthusiastic about Terrence marshall going to the panthers. Twenty seven th pick of the second round just a few picks after escorts from lsu tears marshall to the panthers. What are your thoughts on this cal. I'll pick it a fantastic lang spot. you know. I think i was super high on marshall. Probably highest of just about anybody in the industry All all college season. And all you know predrag and my my enthusiasm is not where one bit. I love the landing spot where some people might be turned off on it You know I know that he is not maybe going to be immediately. Be the number. One with robby anderson and with dj more there. But i think he's going to have a clear role from day one because if you look at his body type and how profiles ios not just a big bodied receiver he also is a a burner to i mean he is true burner and You know high jump. High catch radius any any provides the wide receivers did not do as your which was give a teddy bridgewater. Now is going to be darnold. But they didn't have anybody to score in the red zone. You know everything. They they scored was from like you know deeper out or the the running backs the mike davis or you know. But they really didn't have anybody in the red zone that they could produce. So i think marshall steps in right away and could be. I bet he has a real legitimate chance at leading all rookies in in receiving touchdowns ex year. So you know it's somebody that i like. As far as a talent. I think he can easier to age. Well in that offense because He is going back with his former college coach. Now the head coach of the of the panthers. So i think that this guy drafted him whereas he might have fallen a little bit in. Nfl draft because there was a little bit uncertainty right before the draft about some of his medical history. I don't think coach takes them at high if he has any type about about the about his foot injury so i think that this is going to be the guy that's going to be all help you. Now you're gonna have some flashes. He's going to be probably inconsistent. Probably a lot like a like. I kind of value him a lot. Like the where i had claypool asher whereas i kind of knew that there was going to be a lot of competition for targets but i knew that there was gonna be a lot of upset especially if somebody gets hurt And i just think that there's gonna be a lotta touchdown and he's a big guy when people start really understanding how much of a freak athlete is. Don't be surprised if this guy is being compared as maybe even number one wide receiver in this class next year. That's that's how upside. i see you know. I do think chases a better prospect but you know they were on the same team and You know even on the team with jefferson and chase He marshall was extremely valuable piece of their natural shape team. I mean he. I think he had like fourteen touchdowns or something you know. And he had costa twenty yard per catch average on the team. I mean he he really is a tremendous player and then when those two guys left last year you know he played over about a. I don't know about six or seven seven games. you opted out. And he averaged one hundred and fifteen dollars. You're talking about more leading devante smith. It was really. I believe tears marshall who bleeding the country in yards per game you know before he opted out and he also was averaging close to two touchdowns a game you know and this same competition is all those. Stc guy so. I just liked body. I can't i hate to sound like a broken record. But i really do like big receivers. It's not the smaller wide. Receivers can't thrive in that bayer wide receivers don't bust. I just think that when you historically look at all the body types of players that are generally over six foot in there like over two hundred pounds to twenty six. I'd say two to twenty is about the average. You know we get the top hand wide receiver fantasy for fancy standpoint every year. That's probably about the average. So i like my guys. That profile big catch raises. So i just feel like they're more consistent with a when when you get that's capable of being a possession receiver getting first downs and touchdowns. I i like their consistency versus having a field stretcher. We might put up forty points in a game lake. You kyle i am. I am feeling good about carrots. Marshall and about what he's gonna do in his nfl career. The only hold back that. I have with taras marshall and again this could be viewed as a positive based on what i'm going to say in a second is so terrorist marshall hops into offense with dj more lobbying said in christian. Mccaffrey already there. So you're already looking at the possibility of being the fourth target there in carolina which i deal and add that to the fact that sam darnold who i think everyone considers at this point to be in the bottom. Half of the starting quarterbacks is throwing the ball to terrence. Marshall this is this is clearly not ideal so short term. There are some concerns. I do think like you that he's going to be great in the red zone. Short term era. You're gotta be thinking while sam. Donna already has connected to robinson clearly. The carolina organization views. Dj moore's or number receiver cj. Metcalf a christian mccaffrey a year a year ago. He broke the record for the most receptions for running back in a single season ever. She has to view him almost as a receiver. At this point with the matt of receptions which is insane that he's getting one hundred receptions i think it was a year or two ago so that that's not ideal but dynasty football dicey football so not necessarily great redraft person. In my opinion but dynasty football is about the long game and the long game. I see in the long game i see turns marshall absolutely thriving because we don't know a five we anderson's gonna be in carolina long-term. We don't know what the scenario is going to be with. Sam darnold or with christian mccaffrey. Dj more but we know the is one of the best receivers in this class in. He is talented enough will were at some point career. He will get an opportunity probably sooner rather than later if not this year to really showcase what he can do and he has the talent to be a number one receiver. I love his size. I loved as a big bodied receiver. That's a great fan a red zone. There are a lot of good things about terrence marshall and so what i was saying earlier is the fact that not going to be good in the short term is almost a positive here for you as a dynasty are because now we're seeing him fall to the third fourth fifth round pick of the second round which is lower than it should be gone if anything. This guy should be going at the back half of the first half so now because the term concern that comes with marshall. Now you're gonna be able to go up there and gets terrorist marshall and you're not gonna have to reach from either he's probably just gonna fall right in your laps and you're gonna walk is one of the biggest winners in your dynasty graphs. Because here's a guy that has a potential to be a top five receiver in this

NFL Week 14 injuries: Christian McCaffrey's new issue, Antonio Gibson out of practice again

"Injuries we paying attention to the bigger buzzkill of the week on the injury or injury front here christian mccaffrey. A third injury now. with the shoulder Following up now also with a quad injury had high ankle sprain. Keep matt. He's he's not gonna play this week hopes are he will be back week. Fifteen or sixteen. But if we have. Mike davis there 'cause they'll lineup versus the panthers rb one this week antonio gibson that looking good got exactly one. Snap against the steelers on monday night before you heard a toe injury we're gonna watch his status heading towards the end of the week. He's out peyton barber on the early down work. Obviously jd mckissic. We'll get the pr action there. The pass catching back. Josh jacobs unlikely to play this week with an ankle issue. You're out devante booker. last week. It didn't work out. I'm not very optimistic about it this week. Either if out to that's a situation to avoid to straightness practices for. Aj brown the study for the titans with an ankle issue. This'll probably be around friday. I'll be looking at the most on practice tomorrow but take out. That's certainly a big blow to receivers out already for carolina. This week have christian mccaffrey. But also without dj more curtis samuel kobe. Nineteen list or both of those guys robby anderson. He's gonna get a ton of targets brandin cooks. We thought he might have had a fifth or sixth. I think it's now six concussion last week when he ended up medical tent. It looks like it's more of a neck injury foot issue. I am optimistic. He played just fuller out. Top targeting group brings one more week before we've probably take him back from that collapsed lung case. Him hill. Jalen hurts madge. Up is the two quarterbacks this week and that is going to be a very unique football game to watch analyst

"Walk through for two hundred and fifty eight yards and anderson was far and away the third. He was much farther behind. He's definitely far behind. Curtis samuel and dj more. He was bad today. Well he was enter. He hasn't terms of yards not during the targets or catches. No but at some point. It's like he's going to start doing a little more. I don't know. I don't know what do you. What do you think about robby anderson. I think he's a number three like the thing is as good as dj. Moore's been the last two weeks two weeks before that he had two catches and dj more has. This was the second game that he has since week. Two with more than five catches. So i just. I don't think it's one of those things where we're going to two or three weeks in a row. We went two or three weeks in a row. Robby anderson was by far the best carolina wide receiver. Now we've got two or three weeks in a row robby anderson's really not producing four weeks. I have to bring that up. I'm not trying to nitpick. But because i wasn't really worried three and you're saying for what a big difference. I wasn't all that worried after two or three more. Worry now. I feel like i don't wanna do people a disservice by pooh-poohing the struggles of robby anderson. You know. I feel bad when i'm sitting here saying. Oh it's no big deal. Start robby anderson. And then well he hasn't four or solely so a non peoria agree with you but two weeks ago he had nine catches for sixty three yards. That's not struggling. It's not for weeks in a row. But isn't that something that concerns you a little bit like catches for sixty three yards. If you're just looking long-term it's not very impressive. I can tell you what concerns me but another the game goes by where he doesn't have any red zone catches or targets so he's still stuck at seven on the year..

Dj more had <Speech_Male> last year. <Speech_Male> He had <Speech_Male> four touchdowns he only <Speech_Male> scored in three games <Silence> <Speech_Male> and now <Speech_Male> dj more. I think <Speech_Male> has five <Speech_Male> touchdowns already <Speech_Male> this season. Does he ever <Silence> <Advertisement> career high. <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> Moore's <Speech_Male> a good example <Silence> of that larger <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> idea <Speech_Male> that <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Male> he had three straight <Speech_Male> games with ninety three <Speech_Male> plus yard ninety three <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> yards. Exactly <Speech_Male> then he fifty five and <Silence> <Advertisement> eighteen. Then he had ninety <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> six. <Speech_Male> Not that much changed. <Speech_Male> He was still getting <Speech_Male> a similar number of targets. <Speech_Male> He was still getting similar. <Speech_Male> Amount of air yards. <Speech_Male> It's just <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> sometimes you hit and sometimes <Speech_Male> you don't <Silence> <Advertisement> and <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> we <Speech_Male> want to look for trends <Speech_Male> where they may not <Speech_Male> exist and in this <Speech_Male> case. I think there's no <Speech_Male> trend with robby. Anderson <Speech_Male> i think he's still <Speech_Male> getting a ton of <Silence> Huge target <Speech_Male> share <Speech_Male> a high efficiency <Speech_Male> number of targets. <Speech_Male> And it's just <Speech_Male> he's had like <Speech_Male> three weirdly <Silence> <SpeakerChange> inefficient games. <Speech_Male> Okay <Speech_Male> and hopefully <Speech_Male> the touchdowns come for robby <Speech_Male> anderson <Speech_Male> and <Silence> <Speech_Male> With this was <Speech_Male> there anything else. I wanted to say <Speech_Male> now. Now i think <Speech_Male> that pretty much wraps it. <Speech_Male> Oh oh yeah. He <Speech_Male> second on the team in <Speech_Male> red zone targets <Speech_Male> and he's tied for second <Speech_Male> in targets inside <Speech_Male> the ten yard line number. <Speech_Male> One in both. <Speech_Male> Is mike davis. <Speech_Male> But it's not. <Speech_Male> Yeah we still getting <Speech_Male> like his former <Speech_Male> red zone targets and dj <Speech_Male> more <SpeakerChange> and four or <Speech_Male> fewer touchdowns. I think <Speech_Male> and let's not <Speech_Male> forget robby. Anderson <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> has <Speech_Male> definitely has <Speech_Male> the skill set to take <Speech_Male> slant seventy arts <Speech_Male> like we've seen <Speech_Male> dj more a couple of <Silence> times. It's not like <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> robby anderson <Speech_Male> jarvis. He <Speech_Male> did it once well. <Speech_Male> It wasn't exactly a slant <Silence> but he did it in week one <Speech_Male> but <Speech_Male> this is a fast <Speech_Male> big play receiver. <Speech_Male> Who just <Speech_Male> hasn't happened to hit <Speech_Male> on any but he still <Speech_Male> has that potential to <Speech_Male> in addition to the healthy <Speech_Male> role. <SpeakerChange> He has an <Speech_Male> office. <Speech_Male> All right usually we save <Speech_Male> some time for key stats. <Speech_Male> i apologize. <Silence> Monday is <Speech_Male> kind of a <Speech_Male> housekeeping <Speech_Male> day doctor's <Speech_Male> appointments <Speech_Male> and things like that <Speech_Male> so i <Speech_Male> am off to the vet <Speech_Male> for my <Speech_Male> cats doctor's appointment <Speech_Male> and i apologize <Speech_Male> tokyo better adam. "Thomas. More intermediate and short-range jameis. Winston might look for him in the intermediate and long range and i also think look the fact that james turned the ball over that helps their fantasy. I wonder i wonder if they're going to run the ball. Oh but more because they did not throw that much with teddy bridgewater last year he was averaging thirty two point five pass attempts per game whereas breeze this year throwing thirty five point six pass attempts per game and i think i think they threw more with brees them with bridgewater last year. So we'll see if they changed their strategy at all the also the of hill thing. I can't say this is good for my thomas. I i would go that far but i don't think it's bad for him. I think it's worse for him. But i also don't think this is a long term injury you know. I mean it's might be one week. So that's fingers crew might be zero zero. Yeah all right. Can i trust jonathan taylor from. Can i trust. Jonathan taylor my lineup. Hell no you could ask the next question. Yeah no you. can't you have to sit him. And it's such a shame because his match-ups like he always better every week. Green base thirtieth tennessee's twenty-fifth against running back so they've gotten better a little bit houston's thirty first las vegas twenty-ninth and then houston's thirty this next five opponents each of them are twenty fifth awards against running backs but no. You can't trust them until he gives you a reason to trust them. And i just want to give you this weird stat. Big plays last year marlon. Mack had nine carries of twenty plus yards this year. Jonathan taylor has won the longest russia. The season for the colts is twenty two yards. It's by jordan wilkins. Last year wilkins had a fifty five yard run. Jonathan williams had a forty eight yard. Run marlon mack. Sixty three yard run. There's no explosion in this running game and that is a is a hindrance right now so no. You can't trust. Jonathan taylor nick p. This is a great question is robby anderson. Still a thing is robby anderson silla thing. Yeah he's absolutely still thing. I'm not scared at all of the four for twenty one production that he had this week last the week before he had nine catches. He's still averaging over eight targets. A game he's just a short yardage guy right now. So yes you're not gonna get a ton of games over one hundred yards and you're probably not gonna get a ton of touchdowns but you're going to take that. Pr floor of five plus catches that. He's almost lock for chrissy. Can i get.

"But he's got a so. Here's the rushing touchdown breakdown for the patriots. This year harris has one michelle has one birkhead has three cam. Newton has nine. If he doesn't score your he's you know he's a lot like kenyan. Drake i'd say damian harris who would you would you guys rather have drinker harris drake. He's in a better offense all drake as well. And i think they're going to be in a better chance to have five on drives whereas the patriots may only have three go on drives in the game and cam newton probably getting all those opportunities who has more value of season cam. Newton koby myers as a quarterback jakobi. Meyers so i was on Did my cbs sports hq head after the game last night and my big takeaway from this game is is there any like and maybe daming harasses. Their single must start player on either of these two teams still. I think lamar jackson's. They must start even though he's been disappointing. Lamar jackson being a must start in the second. But to answer your question just just andrews but my myers is pretty encouraging. I mean he. I don't know what happens when when ataman gets back was they play the same position but there is a very obvious. Noticeable connection between cam newton and jakobi meyers and i. How many times did i say it throughout the week. If you want five catches for sixty yards something like that. You're probably going to get that. For myers. he nearly nailed that that seems to be his floor of ten eleven fantasy point. So i do think he's a must start in the three wide receiver leak. Pr aside from that. No safran that is just andrus. Is lamar drop hollywood for him. He's consistent enough. Where i'll take his four over hollywood's one or two potential good games for the rest of the year is lamar. Jackson really must start. Yes i he's only ten in per game scarring about four and six point four touchdown leagues but the upside for him is so much higher than basically anyone. You're going to be able to.

"In non pr with six fantasy points but in four pr. He's number one with seven catches and we did get thirty four pass attempts from jackson they were trailing we did get two hundred and forty nine passing yards if you just look at a tale of the tape comparing two thousand nineteen to twenty twenty you look at some key stats baltimore. Ran three and a half more. Plays per game scored six more points per game last year jackson's throwing slightly more. But he's rushing. he has one point. Seven fewer rush attempts per game this year yards per carry sufficient. Yeah yours precarious down. But it's still five point eight two. He's still on pace for nine. Hundred thirty two rushing yards and five touchdowns and by the way the nine hundred thirty two includes a game where he was heard all week leading into the cincinnati. Game he for three yards. You know if you get rid of that game we talk about thousand yard rusher here so you know. It's still impressive. In twenty five passing touchdowns. I think big problem. We're having with with lamar jackson. Is that the entire quarterback position has gotten better offense in general. Yeah and he has. The ravens are scoring six points relatively speaking worse. Everyone's scoring more points. So ben talk to me about marquees brown we. We can all agree like you're just going to start mark andrews. He has a twenty one point. Two percent target share this season markey's brown basically the same about the same amount of targets. But i don't know if you caught the moment where seemed like brown and jackson were exchanging words after coming off the field. I believe on a turnover on downs and brown wants the ball and You know it's just not working. Do you see a guy that's a that's a bilo that's a whole. That's a drop. Know what you see with marquees brown right now on fine drop him i think if he does well for the rest of their he's going to have three or four games or he started. Well he's still gonna have these down games. And i think he's being used as a guy that's like a deep threat. When lamar jackson can't throw the ball deep that well this year and lamar jackson has been utilizing his bigger receivers like and andrews if you want to call them that over the past week this week and then over the past few weeks excluding andrews more i don't think hollywood browns target share is significant enough given that they don't throw that much so i would be fine dropping him. You're probably gonna hold onto him because he's going to have a boom week. I don't know how to predict that boom week. I don't think anybody knows how to predict that boom week. So it's going to be very frustrating to continue to roster murky brown okay and let's go to the patriots side of the ball by the way anyone interested in willie snead. I'm not going to happen. Occasionally it does. It does occasionally happen.

"I almost forgot because there's a thursday night game. He didn't have a single catch on the season. And then he finished with nine receptions for one hundred and eighty four yards and a touchdown on thirteen targets. Shanahan offense for you. Some random person scored thirty points every one of their starters out. Someone had to catch the ball i suppose. Is there any zero to stop fantasy. Relevant going forward for coming back. Yeah depot and i will be back. He's out to move on the backseat. The only other to address. I want to talk about. We already kind of discussed them a little bit with. Dj shark he'd seven receptions one hundred forty six yards and a touchdown. he looked really good with jake gluten. Hopefully that is a sign of things to come good to see him come back. I think that was his first game in like five games being inside wide receiver. Thirty six better. Yeah been a rough go with it with menchu and his injury but chocolate. Good on especially touchdown. Seventy three yard touchdown. You'd love to see that especially early in your fantasy day. you guys. How curtis samuel he. Someone that keeps getting slept on. And i don't know why. He now has four touchdowns in his last three games. Two of them are receiving who are rushing. this week. You went for nine receptions. One hundred and five yards and a touchdown on nine targets also three carries and back to back games three slapped ambience of what he did in the first five games not much. There's a ton of offensive key players there but it seems like they're trying to you know design place forum so i like him going forward. Yeah it's the dj more effect. Everyone still want dj more to be a thing and it just looks like it's not gonna happen and then before you know he just wasn't you didn't have a defined role you know he'd get your couple rush attempts couple targets. You know you don't care about five touches for a receiver typically so now that they're actually throwing the ball and they use him at the goal line is running back like yeah. He's got good value going forward. Stop trying to make. Dj more happened. I'm past dj morbid cj. More would be a thing on any other team they just have to make him the keystone wide receiver. The wide receiver. One all. it's weird. As they run robby anderson and curtis samuel in the ways that i would try to use. Dj more exactly and they haunt so. They must know something. I don't know but whatever more went from a possession receiver. Michael thomas type perceiver to a deep threat. Receiver trust me. I'm not trying to make. Dj more thing. I actually like dj more. But it was mean girls reference cooper so fast. You can't ever seen it what you've never seen mean girls what. Why would i watch mean girls because it's actually a great movie. It's a fantastic movie. Go watch it when you get home. That's here's movies. That is your homework. Yup watch girls. We'll talk about it next report back next week. Okay good take notes. I'm not sure whether or not that's coming will lay out we'll wait and see also there is a major piece on the jungle it's on the front page of the big lead right now Kyle Koster wrote and if you want to read it you go right ahead I retweeted it and we'll get into that a little bit later on too all right all that said stocks may be a start somehow the tie re Irving drama has jumped yet another day and it's widening it's no longer about chi re shifting from asking about saunas and drinks allegedly suddenly talking about not restarting this season and somewhere along the way starting a new league of his own it's more than all of that because Kendrick Perkins has entered the arena and the big fella is not having it with Kyree so you can put park firmly in the camp that believes the chi ri is being disingenuous when it comes to being a force for positive social change earlier in the week park went in and said this the ESPN radio this was the same guy about ten days ago there came out and say it there he wanted to join the team and be in Orlando around between because the agreement was with that and active players could go because it was only a certain amount of people they could be in the bowl now what changed over the last ninety days would change the world for what I strongly believe in what I heard is that the NBA and the Players Association so because I really didn't know you can go how can a guy Myers did change in ten days George Lowe was murdered on the twenty fifth of may they started a protest in the next day based on the ride the next Tuesday I remind us that just ten days ago was he wants to go to wood St students there would change the world with there they told him he couldn't go credit yes pan radio so Perkins is saying it's not so much about his social consciousness it's not the fact that he want to go to Orlando and they told him Kyree that he couldn't go to Orlando and that's why he changed that's what park had to say earlier in the week and he has not let up he went on ESPN and then he dropped this is well if you think re over brain they put it in the bird right now guess what the birds go do is go flop out because Calgary right now he's confused he's showing his lack of leadership it is concrete you have been all these conference calls over the last two months you're the vice president of the Players Association you have been very involved in all of this is that there has been taken place full as well that now we're going to play a night and you have been on the phone you have voting took place so he was just getting started he also made time to call the prime James quote the most athletic player in NBA history and quote only for bill Russell himself to come from the rafters and dunk on him by reminding park did Russell was not just an NBA legend he also conveyed US Olympic team as a high jumper that's fine that's well and good that's true but park camp right on rolling and then he went back to go after chi re on Twitter quote excuse my let my last tweet but I really took it light on Tiree today because I really could expose the cupcake B. S. that is really doing behind those phone conversations carry on yeah I'm not sure exactly what that means I'm not sure what he's getting at there but this is spilled over from a former player turned media member talking about labor negotiations into something that it's gotten really personal deeply personal and now a nother challenger is sprinting into the ring there's a third man in now as you might imagine that their man is Kevin Durant KT re tweeted a tweet clowning Parkins complete with Perkins firing an air ball is a member of the thunder don't rant went on Instagram and called Perkins a quote sellout end quote so there's your third man in the course that weird relationship between to rant and Perkins is nothing new that's a dynamic it's truly straight to figure out former teammates turned to Twitter enemies so this thing's gotten really personal in a really ugly and right now I don't see any signs of it stopping or these guys leading up like I doubt Perkins is going to ease up you know Kyree is not gonna stop being chi re anytime soon now to be very clear about this deal there is a really important discussion to be had here about this moment in this country the moment the countries currently in and the opportunity for real lasting change and what role NBA players can happen that change there is a serious discussion in that just as there is a serious debate as to whether or not the role is better with games being played or the games being played distracts from this moment there's a serious debate in that that's a legitimate conversation so there's something to what chi re and others are saying but the fact the chi re is involved and doing tie re things tends to muddy the waters it feels like to debate it shifted from the issues that the players who have questions about restarting wanted to discuss and instead now it's being focused on chi read in chi re being weird hi res motivation because the fact is Kerry is weird because that's what always happens when kai resembled something and there is a nother tricky part in this hi ri isn't just some guy in the league throwing out ideas and takes on when and how the league returns he's not just another guy and he's not just another star player he's a vice president in the Players Association so when you're a leader in the Players Association there is an expectation cation this will be a leader and a disagreement you have with the PA will be kept in the house and not taking public in such a broad manner it's not that he has to completely agree with everything the Players Association does but when you're a V. P. of the Players Association if you're a member of the executive committee you don't freelance you don't go rogue you don't vote with the association on a phone call and then come out a few days later with a totally different plan again this is not just some famous member of the rank and file doing it it is a vice president in the Players Association and it's causing chaos then again.

"After dark judges Jansky right here on a fat eight seven seven thirty thirty seven sixty six sixty six and may very surprised to hear and I saw a boomer mention this on the morning show I saw on Twitter when I woke up the idea Robby Anderson took a less money potentially in a prove it type scenario to go and play for the Carolina Panthers in his former head coach in that role as opposed to sticking around with the new York jets I for one found out a little bit surprising I would figure Robby Anderson the comfort level being here is in New York jets Robby Anderson again I was a reporter with Sam Darnold will look to have stuck around but very very interesting that he will be going elsewhere now in the jets got some work to do as far as pivoting to how to make the score around Sam Darnold I have been a lot better and I was going through some of the rosters and you look at the roster the knowing the patriots Anna and I get it they have the greatest NFL head coach I have seen in my years of watching the game bill Belichick is by far away the best they could have ever seen and I don't think it's close book it's been depleted it was a flawed roster last year no Tom Brady no Calvin alloy they lose their center there was a couple other pieces along the way no one was going to be very vulnerable next year I'm telling you right now I will not be picking the way going to make the postseason now I may have egg on my face I don't believe for a minute they're gonna like tank via I just do not think they're a playoff team a talent that is on a team is not worthy of ten eleven once and I think the odds makers will have buffaloes a favor but the opportunity is there for the jets and the Miami Dolphins if they make the right moves if they build a franchise the right way that they can have that sort of upward trajectory and they're gonna have legitimate hopes of going make noise in the AFC east dolphins already looking to make them both now they was so far in the salary cap I know a lot of people like to get on teams that spend stupid money as they said the office will like a hundred million dollars under the salary cap and they had holes to fill they did a good job still got some more to do they still got to figure out what their long term plan quarterback is going to be but they're a team that is on the move their team that is on the rise the jets it's going to depend on how Joe Douglas builds the offense applied and how Joe Douglas gets pieces all round this young quarterback it's not gonna happen here but he's laying the groundwork we've seen the job that's been done on the offensive line has been good solid is another piece coming in the first round of the draft or is that pretty soon after his round one to be a high flying top notch wide receiver that will be the dilemma that will be the question for the jets as they move closer and closer to draft day do you go with a wide receiver do you go with an offensive tackle as you sit there with that first pick I lean towards taking a tackle and I'm getting too wide receivers in the second at the rounded good news for the jets not one but two third round picks you do wonder there was a play for Trent Williams changed things for me would you bring in Trent Williams you put about offense of tackle I think taking a wide receiver becomes that much more of a most now the jets going to be able to strike a deal with the Washington Redskins what the wait six the trouble is on his team despite his age makes sense because he's cornerstone franchise left tackle I'd rather give him for a second round the next year because I need to fix this year I knew Joe Douglas go to work perfect world you get trouble is right around back I would do that a harpy said Sussex county eighty up next on the phallus up any Hey morning Jerry Jerry it's a pleasure to talk with you well IT the pleasure is all mine can you turn that radio down please I'm sorry I'm driving into work J. taking driving safely so we got four may two heartbreaking losses I'm a Die Hard cowboys fan my first one was simple ball five Roger stormed back to Jackie Smith in the end zone wide open and the second one I'm not sure what happened then ET or Evey why and catch the catalyst why Clark of course is flat right from the cowboys standpoint all of the success and all the championships you've seen it say all this you know there's no way team like that could have been a losses but you mention Jackie Smith you mentioned why Clark days Brian a couple years ago I mean that Tony Romo game when you will play in Seattle where he botches the fury the catch I mean the cowboys offense for that you would put on an all time list that would rank pretty highly I mean those of four brutal brutal games right would bear where the song was on the white Laureen third of course the field goal of the tab but the bottom line was Jackie Smith was you know and actually of receiver with the back computers and when he went to the cowboys and I believe wait the cold I'm not sure in Super Bowl fly by JJ he was wide open touchdown wherein but we lost Eddie that's the beauty of this exercise my front I hope that was therapeutic boy now you've seen what five super bowls in your life he said during a nineteen nineties privacy my team in a Superbowl cell they say in that regard I'm not gonna feel too sorry for I'm really not hello we appreciate the call it's like why belly ache about Yankee terrible losses and they're a bunch one of my family since that they don't really take it I want to hear it because if you're a Mets fan of my age group in my demographic we don't remember eighty six and you sure as all remember nineteen sixty nine sell you wanna hear me belly aching about two thousand one or nineteen ninety five when your team as a one so I totally get it sent to New Jersey rob up next the joins us on a fat without Robbie very very great show I appreciate that rob with that in mind I got a great yogis story thank god before was talking about you the R. I have two of baseball but you'll get a kick out of it I would say it was probably like I don't know like four years ago all right word we lane street construction programs but we also construct you know we're all right so far the market is very cold very very loose and I need to call I mean American programs job we're doing the job in Moscow where it's like you know you there by like five thirty six Michael okay so I'm out this is years ago amaan the truck I'm actually on the truck so you we were in the driveway and we're right next door to your house so how did you see we know he's a Montclair guy but how did you know rob thank you all right if you get like insider info some Intel like how did you find that out for more members to the U. where you'll live everybody who were killed always cottage the two should I gotcha okay so well we we get started right so it's what you have spoke to light GBM your role you know he'll stop by your house make your voice he wants to start or so I borrowed him out first you get lower right back you know thank travel records the birch pollen on the machines virtual console right here are you over it I start going out or coming down the driveway I'm coming down the driveway I cheated swimming garbage feel at the end of the driveway it will slippers from white crap search thank you there are so I forgot all the locks are you rolling your I'm like you'll come up your your case where you all micro Rick three your your your your he goes what should the watershed in order to portray the role for you come through you guys thought regular order began work this all morning I'll take that okay or because she remembered your are you sure that is that is absolutely tremendous so you can use them as you try to do a job that's fantastic but at that time yeah okay more so now twenty years ago all right so maybe I don't know for five years later I go to Christmas dinner at my brother-in-law's house and every pitch dark my bro my my nephew has his friends over at the house and so it goes very own Karabo wants you to be Larry Larry Burke and I'm like wiry hair you go to your your grades are I couldn't believe you got all right I mean it's like you're in that's why the your family's forever intertwined we okay now did you tell his grandson about the store all yeah I told readers out such Bapat ecos but what you're doing it was the only it's very ever problem leave a man it's like the equivalent I appreciate the call of you're doing a job and in a much different probably tone and demeanor persona baginya doing that job and Tony soprano comes out in the bathroom thank you guys you know in the Tony voice and I'm thinking about re watching the sopranos I'm really thinking about it the problem is I got those are coming back on Friday sell I'm all fired up about Ozark Ozark is great absolutely great Bateman and I can't believe I'm saying this developing Jason Bateman fan I think he's very good actor him playing a serious role I think for a lot of us is kind of like you know there's no way in the world is gonna work you'll have her show to watch Ozark binge it and any other one I made two when I watch the episode last night little fires which is on a rule and I don't even know I had a rule Kate subscribe so it's a great more power to us I mean a lot of channels even though I had until you know the last few weeks but we watch a little fires Reese Witherspoon Kerry Washington really really good and that's like only four episodes and stuff you look for some TV habit help yeah said to Stanford Pete he joins us on a phallus upbeat J. J. what's up what about the show we're not appreciate that P. which again there are no good or try to call them on one of those heartbreaking losses you guys are in a mall pretty much what my Yankees Knicks and Rangers but I got one that'll make you feel good about fifty one to ninety three ninety four season Martel waters were planning your doctor about that he's given his game very very well people tell them about the legal at game all my god yeah and the week before that I was on the floor to talk and have you crossed my brother who's off the stand and karma came back with me Giada de think about that is got to be one of the wildest finishes to a game that you're ever going to see and it's funny you mention that because the NFL throwbacks page on Instagram posted the highlight of that right around thanksgiving when they were thrown up all sorts of throwbacks to maybe was the dolphins page still and it's so real and I know bloomer was talking about this yesterday it's amazing I find out about what happens on the morning show via Twitter Instagram or what not we'll pull was telling a story about a run in with OJ and how they use the picture of rumored OJ the trial years later you know Pete OJ was the sideline reporter for that dolphins cowboys game very popular to everybody loves it's crazy to think about and that is something I watch TV yesterday I was going through the J. R. thirty for thirty which have seen already but that the story and everything that comes with it is so fascinating to me I had a chance to watch it again I was like you know I'm gonna watch an extra twenty thirty minutes but you tell boys at the end of the day Pete to get the last laugh that yet they did go on to win a Super Bowl yeah more than other deterrents the year and if I'm not mistaken it often didn't win a game for the rest of the year so in the end but that one day I mean if you want to talk about what's gonna feel golden jump up and down and all crazy then it's been you know your line at the beginning of the one for me closer so but that's another one that I heard but J. did you stay safe great to talk to you know work Peter preset Imad al love when we can like inter twine is into sports moment that brought you a whole lot of pain but for somebody like me would have brought me a whole lot of euphoria Miller put a big fat smile on the face I don't remember that game vividly I was still a little too young to remember the intricate details of thanksgiving ninety three some big spike ninety four is like ingrained in my mind that's like one of my first real memories of watching football and that's another one Jeff and that's maybe not that high on the list because the jets of kind of made to order of losing the excruciating heartbreaking game but that one for me Seoul at St Pete big tapping a beauty four.

"The same day that the Carolina Panthers moved on from cam Newton they added a player receiver Robby Anderson there was a thought that no one was gonna touch Robby Anderson until they had a chance to bring him in and talk to him because he's had some off field issues well his college head coach Matt rule not bashful about getting the deal done two years twenty million dollars Robby Anderson joins the depth chart in Carolina same day cam Newton leaves and the jets react to the departure Robby Anderson by doing a one year deal with per shot Perriman the former Buccaneers receiver once upon a time a first round pick of the ravens who was a major disappointment remember last year he was going to land and I think it was re sign in Cleveland I can't memory was in twenty eighteen but he was ready to sign a deal with the Browns before they traded for a Beckham junior actually had agreement in principle and the Browns I had no qualms about letting him back out of it so that he could sign with the Buccaneers any wasn't bad last year with the Buccaneers but now that the jets have a need the jets pounce on Perriman he gets a higher spot on the depth chart most likely and the jets move forward about Robby Anderson I wonder how concerned the jets were about losing Anderson to the Panthers given that Matt role the coach of the Panthers didn't need to sit down and delve into the nooks and crannies of Robby Anderson's character since he had that knowledge of it that was an advantage that no other team had because no one could bring him in no one can get up to speed and it looked for awhile like Anderson was going to stay put with the New York Jets another receiver on the move Philip door set I remember when he was a first round pick of the colts and all of the receivers an Indianapolis and allowed the colts fans like what the hell what are you doing Ryan Gregson we're already covered at the position he was traded to the patriots for Jacoby percent a couple of years ago the state in New England last year on a one year deal but now he becomes the latest patriot to leave a lot of patriots have left we we focus on Tom Brady but Kyle van Noy to Miami Ted Karras to Miami Jamie Collins to Detroit Phil door set as mentioned the Seattle they cut Stephen Gostkowski I'm sure there's more than I'm not even thinking of here I found a free agency tracker let's be complete here let's give you a full picture on everyone the patriots have lost they did use the franchise tag on Joe Thuney and they re signed Devin McCourty which is good news for them but a lot of these guys are gone Kyle van Noy as mentioned gone Jamie Collins gone Danny Shelton gone island he signed with the patriots Brian Hoyer he signed with the patriots Duron Harmon was traded alliance a lot of guys on the way out Ellen don Roberts that's the guy that I wasn't thinking of he's the guy that played some fullback last year Nate Abner one of bill Belichick's favorites he signed with the giants Joe judge C. you've got Joe judge with the giants you've got Matt Patricia with the lions you got Brian Flores with the dolphins you've got John Robinson Imad rebel with the Titans there's a lot of outposts of the patriot way now where there are people who have relationships with these players and they are luring them away so the latest even though there's no connection no direct connection with the head coach like there is with the lions and the dolphins and.

"I don't know what's in the guard this year and by the way it's not necessarily elective surgery it does actually fit the guidelines for necessary surgery for him down in Florida especially not here or may it may be different if you were up here but he's going to an outpatient clinic for HSS down in Florida that clinic is not you know they don't have any coronavirus cases there anything it says specifically an orthopedic clinic so he's going to get it done tomorrow my question would be if he was complaining about this before spring training why are they doing it now why didn't they do it a month ago right yeah I know well one of those things I I thought about it says that's one thing now as far as Robby Anderson is concerned I understand it the you know I would I've been told that the jets offered a four year forty million dollar contract which I think would have been you know more than fair for both sides Robbie wanted to take a less years and wanted to bet on himself and obviously want to go play for a coach that he knows because the coach obviously down in Carolina was his coach at temple and he feels comfortable with that offense that they're put building around Joe Brady their offense coordinator down there so you know Robbie decided to leave and and essentially bet on himself because he wants to be back at the free agent table in two years and I don't blame him I really don't and I think the I think the jets made a fair offer for him they wanted him for years forty million he ended up said taken two years of twenty million and again that this is the player basically betting on himself I believe I don't know if the jets would have offered him mmhm the two year deal that I don't know but I do know that according to my sources that there was a four year forty million dollar deal on the table for Robby Anderson yeah and if they replace Robby Anderson with per shot paramount right away and a one year deal one of these many one year deals that the jets are handing out which I do like a lot with the flexibility in the unknowns and everything that's going on right now with the NFL and other sports now remember Prashanth Perriman for anybody who played their fantasy football last year and it was a lot of people who did I mean this is one of those guys at the end of the year jumped on everybody's radar why because Evans and Godwin courthouse yeah he was getting all the opportunities and three straight weeks he had a hundred yard receiving games against the lines of Texans in the falcons and the guy was was insane I mean one of those games against alliance six catches on for thirteen yards and three touchdowns the one against the the the the falcons he had a hundred and thirty four yards and a touchdown so this is a guy that I like hi he's really really fast he's someone that was given an opportunity last year's whole career as a whole has been disappointing I don't focusing on three games for a for a positive but I just love the fact that you know in an offense we were trying to get the ball down the field in a very aggressive offense of Bruce Arians when he was given those opportunities he produced at a very very high level so but to me the thing that I wanted to hear from you this morning is Sam Darnold in all of this now you know Robby Anderson he's he's had you know good things in his past as a jet bad things in this passage yet but it seem like him and Sam were on the same page and that's the part of this that I don't like that here Sam Darnold going into his third year you're talking about too bumpy years to start out maybe feels like he's starting over again and I just don't think that's the greatest thing for a young quarterback like him well this is going to be apartments fourth team in four years so you member he was a first round draft pick by the Baltimore Ravens back in two thousand and sixteen or two thousand seventeen I think it was I he didn't play because he was injured came back up play two years so the ravens a year for Cleveland and then ended up you know last year Tampa where you know they threw the ball a lot and because chase what's his name Jim Swenson throw thirty interceptions that there had to throw to catch up in so many different ways so I he benefited from that a one year deal eight million dollars is really nothing but I do believe at six four two and as you pointed out he's a fast wide receiver that he's got an opportunity you know he has got a major opportunity here right now and as far as the relationship between Robby Anderson and Sam Darnold it's unfortunate that these things happen but I do believe the jets made a legitimate offer and I just think that Robby Anderson wanted to go with his former coach down in Carolina is former coaches the coach that was that he had in temple and he want to be a part of that offense and he has a huge chance down there to be their number one guy so both guys I think benefit from this probably the loser I guess if you wanted to say that he was a loser in all of this would probably be Sam Darnold because the relationship that we have with Robby Anderson and then the other question is now one R. O. T. is going to start are they gonna start are these guys going to get a chance to work out together are they going to get to know each other that kind of thing so the jets acted relatively quickly here they got a replacement they're probably gonna draft one or two receivers in this year's draft you know and and Joe Douglas again shows himself to be I think very conservative and and not really trying to make a big splash but again I go back to the fact that Robby Anderson I think really bet on himself here and if he does have a couple big years in Carolina in that offense that we saw that was so great at Ellis you because remember that Joe Brady was the offense coordinator for Joe burrow down there the last two years and that's really what really took Joe burrow to the top he also came from the saints so this is an offense that supposedly you know is going to get the best out of all these different players so good for our Robby Anderson he's bet on himself and breshad Perriman is gonna have a huge opportunity here with the New York Jets now yeah he well one is an opportunity I'm sure he was looking for in the last a couple of years after the disappointment of him being drafted as high as he was not really producing in injuries I'm sure that this is you know he's looking at this like I got to continue what I did last year at the end of the season and now I'm gonna be a big target for Sam Darnold in this Adam gase offense and this is going to be a a walk here for me in which I'm really gonna benefit that's probably what he's thinking hopefully that benefits the jets as well of course Robby Anderson and Matt rule two guys who have relationship all way back in college so it makes a lot of sense for Robby Anderson to want to continue that are bent on themselves in the system and a coach that he is comfortable with and no was Syndergaard the of the other big news there there's so many questions here it's so much disappointment it's weird I know I never really process the bad sports news like that Noah Syndergaard thing yesterday the end in the way that I did which was sort of it was a really really jarring and surprising and shocking especially all the images that we saw Noah Syndergaard now with the shirt off and all the analytics stopped was talking about and stuff's tape to him he's in great shape and then he's tweeting out pictures on Instagram of the refrigerator that he's got an all this health stuff and everything that he's doing going into a walk here I was thinking that this guy was going to have the year of years for him like finally it was going to happen well do this yeah well the interesting thing now is going to be his his rehab time in when will he come back so he'll have the surgery on Thursday so let's say March to April April may June July August September October November December is nine months right yes so it's nine months and so he'll have you know you know you'll be throwing again maybe maybe April twenty twenty one he comes back depending on you know what they have learned through the years through all these different Tommy John surgeries but I wish you would have had this done prior to spring training he was complaining about it before spring training and he he might not even be a met anymore though he's going to walk here so I get that the timeline of this for the Mets might not even mean anything no it's not as if you got no with Syndergaard under contract for the next four years and you can't wait for him to come back this might be it this might be it for him and and the Mets and and because of what else were dealing with in the news and and how weird everything is it's it's just was it was hard for me to even process there wait a second so this is the last time we're gonna see him in a Mets uniform potentially is is him at the end of last year and it just shows you that all of this tends to work out to with all this too much debt that how many starters in Burley bandwagon it's got these guys any promises guys gonna start neck I'm going to start is only six guys five someone always ends up getting hurt this is one of the worst ones were even worse of course it was Jacob the ground but you know call me naive or someone who is taking the bait again with Noah Syndergaard I really really believe that he was setting himself up in his walk year to just be great and I don't know when this happened I don't know when he felt it but once again we see him have to come in or have to get a surgery after he comes into camp in all these great shape it was only a couple years ago we saw the same things put on all the muscle and of course he ends up getting hurt he's out for an extended period of time they missed a lot of that season and here we are again forty comes in the best shape of his life and he ends up having to have Tommy John surgery just that's not a combination for Noah Syndergaard that seems to work where the guys putting on muscle or getting shredded it's all about working out he's just never healthy when that happens it's crazy to think that those two things don't work out but for now it's at the garden having worked out so a sensor we just says that he's injury prone he has a problem and you can't do it you can't go through a full season and I mean I don't know what else to tell you by the way I'm I'm I think I mis read the one he started reporting discomfort he he did report discomfort during spring training and it was right before spring training was was suspended then he had that's when he was complaining so wasn't before spring training started it was in the midst of spring training but it was right before the whole thing got suspended and doctor Neil Ella tries out no way that definitely confirm the diagnosis one of the reasons why he's going on Thursday to get it done and you're right it it it's it's it's sobering news because it's now again you know and know is run around without a shirt on and all that other stuff just goes to show you man you know the the little the ligaments the the elbow you know this is a kid that is been trying to throw a hundred five miles an hour since he got up in the major leagues and eventually it was going to go it's just going to go now the question is what is he worth on the open market what are the Mets try to do here can they do anything I mean so those questions are obviously will be answered next offseason but this is definitely a but a shocker for all of us and and it came out of nowhere that's the thing I guess like propped up out of nowhere else and I know like I said I heard everything channel but I'm like the same way like what they have what now of all things like I was like the last thing I was thinking about yeah I was actually funny if you I mean not funny if you're a Mets fan or a jets fan listening to Joan Evan processing information so the event starts to tell Joe about Robby Anderson and and the way that he's telling him that this video is out.

"Wide receiver market is finally moving. So let's go through it. We mentioned The Panthers Moving on from Cam Newton while they welcomed former jet Robbie Anderson on a two year twenty million contract Schefter had it as twelve million in two thousand twenty. He reunites with Matt rule which little bit connect the dots that nobody else really done. At least I haven't seen it Anderson was undrafted at a temple but his coach at temple was Matt Rule so This is a I think a quality signing for any team especially at that price the word throughout December and into January and then Leading up to free agency was that Robbie Anderson thought he can get anywhere from thirteen to fifteen million. He doesn't really come close to that. But the Teddy Bridgewater Lead. Panthers now have a deep threat to do some damage

"Robby Anderson was twenty six something like that they're not gonna go I'm think in more in terms of door said he's twenty seven or Paul Richard seniors twenty eight or forever might shake free so that you have a veteran on this team on the field but they're going to draft a guy like you said relatively high they've got with thirteen thirty one's abilities to move around either up or down to get the guy they want so it didn't make sense and that's that's where they are now one really good when teams are really good you're gonna lose certain guys that are that are glued type players and he certainly help the wide receiver corps when he came here depot took off when he came here there's no doubt that he was important but they're gonna have to drop the gun after drop well these guys going to come out you have to come in here and play because you can't keep everybody that's why the force Buckner trade was so important and if you don't if you don't have the thirteenth pick in the draft and have the ability to get your your date I'm not sure he's even gonna be there thirteen he may not land that now you have the ability to to get him possibly their trade I think I think if you go up to nine you could probably get in at nine but you would never had any ability if you were sitting just at number thirty one then I think you are trying to re sign a manual Sanders may be good what is off the roster but now or other transactions would've been made to clear up some cap space I don't know if that would have impacted you wouldn't trade Buckner did another thirteen thank you may have you know check camp kept arms that I'm not sure how the finances what worked but if you did not have the thirteenth overall pick in the draft you would need a manual standards are a player that you mention Robby Anderson is more of a a straight line runner he has developed a little bit of a a crossing route skill but he's not as refined as Emmanuel Sanders and certainly nowhere near as good as your Judy yeah all right Eric Davis is gonna join us our old pal is gonna join us former niner former daughter broadcasters down in LA we'll catch up with him see what he thinks of the Niners move so far the the NFL in general and how he's doing as we all are going through cover nineteen doing actually here on the sports you're listening to a Papa in line now one one oh four five FM the C. "Deal for the year for in his rookie deal what are the jets going to do with him moving forward you would think that the jets okay come to their senses the guy but I I don't know you just you just never know they were looking to shop at the end you know that the trade deadline last season every thought is going to the desert Dallas Cowboys he was unhappy didn't speak to his coach for a week and when they asked though the process the coach have you talked to a small Adams is rob well nope low income to make but but but don't you work in the same building yep come on man come on come on Adam guru the man is NY jets fans he's the man he's the man that no one wants to play for after we pulled in Miami and then you got Robby Anderson all Robbie Anderson what to do with him right I see jets fans of my time lines and all you have to resign Robby Anderson at at whatever cost oh really Robby Anderson I can run straight lines that are you gonna pay him Stefon Diggs money sixteen million I think you got it is that we're Robby Anderson's worth no way none of my team yeah let's talk about tonight get on the phone eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six I just get started on the new car in here on the fifth here's the thing about new cherry vanilla coke though cherries named first all the flavors tastes just as great I mean it could have just as easily been vanilla cherry coke or it could have been coke cherry vanilla and since it's too amazing flavors of coke it might have been cold vanilla cherry coke or cherry vanilla coke coke unless you're in France which would make it a cocktail of an Iowa Democrat a Democrat.

"Least one more maybe two more in the draft and even if you reside Robby Anderson you gotta go get another wide receiver this draft class you have two good to let somebody's guys pastore and you know we feel when we really need to call him back we need the edge rusher as usual I really wish I knew what happened to my mom and locals and then the judge in the writing of let him go off and tell you what I basically fell off the face of the earth and I had to call as always Jeff Muhammad Wilkerson was a guy who was a dominant force for about two to three years became a bad scene that locker room became very tough to deal with and has not had success leaving the jet organization let's head to the Bronx a my friend let us have a great great show the owner of the I am in the morning but I had a question describing the expended season and extended play or what's your opinion on cultures limiting us they may be running backs there's certain players who hi or or Smith why exactly I mean you're playing sixteen seventeen games why would you limit snaps why would you limit plays what before planet ocean all game did they go last year bill they limit certain players who I mean listen if you clench everything yeah I mean you're gonna treat the team however you want to treat the team if you want a player guys a week seventeen if you want to set your guys in week seventeen that's a dealer's choice type deal and remember the Baltimore Ravens basically sat will more Jackson all week seventeen all wild card weekend and the Baltimore Ravens came out flat against the Tennessee Titans I'm very curious if we roll to next year and we're thinking about a football season and Baltimore has a bye this Paul Moore played differently when they see in a lot we are going to goal pedal to the metal so that we stay in gear your risk the risk you run is that somebody gets hurt but I think for many teams they almost want to keep that momentum going you don't want to run guys out there who are playing like fifty or sixty percent casual running on fumes plan options now you sit them down but if you're firing on all cylinders in many ways playing week seventeen carrying that momentum over can really help you look at Kansas city at Casey got a bite put them rallying to get that box might have been different and I'm going to win winning the Superbowl four thirty eight here on this Thursday morning it's AJ have to digest is just you right here on the family got a lot more to do get a board eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six cents I know with everything that's going on in the world looking for good news while also the Yankees may actually have some good news to report obligated at Belmore a culture come right back here's the thing about new cherry vanilla coke though cherries named first all the flavors tastes just as great I mean it could have just as easily been vanilla cherry coke or it could have been coke cherry vanilla and since it's too amazing flavors of coke it might have been cold vanilla cherry coke or cherry vanilla coke coke unless you're in France which would make it a cocktail of an Iowa Democrat a Democrat.

What could TE Austin Hooper bring to Packers offense?

"Was a report from. I think it was robbed a mosque. Who covers the Green Bay packers and he made you know at least the packers are aware that they need more pask actors? They reportedly planned to add two of them via free agency and the draft. And you can certainly get a bunch. But I'm not sure that the guy that he talked he said they're played into. Target Austin Hooper. I'm not sure that's what Aaron Rodgers really needs. I would rather see somebody more explosive. I don't know what you think about that but either released Jimmy Graham who's just Zaslov signing for them. I would note that Matlin. Flair was the Falcons quarterbacks coach when Austin who was a rookie in two thousand sixteen in Atlanta But Yeah I. I don't know I'm not sure awesome. Hooper is exactly what fixes. What's wrong with Green Bay right now? Which is clear. It's Green Bay at margin only feels comfortable throwing to Davante Adams. Yeah I think they're awesome. Hooper would be fine signing You give the packers a solid possession tight end just really reliable. Almost eighty percent career catch. Ray Can block enough from a dynasty standpoint. He would block J Sternberg who drafted in the third round. This past year in. I mean I really liked him coming at a at a Texas. A&m But you know. Yeah he he would be a big roadblock in the way of j Sternberg. I'm completely with you. Though in Syria I mean I. I think that they should sign two guys. I mean I think that Al Having Allen Lazard as your number two option. The passing game isn't good enough and I think that even if they signed someone like Austin Hooper. I think should go robby Anderson. You know I think that Robbie Anderson Opposite Davante Adams would give them Just a completely different dynamic in their passing game. I think that they need some any they I think they need an explosive field stretcher. And Yeah if I was. I would focus on a guy like Robin Anderson. I mean mark has vowed is scant laying in theory had the skill set to be that guy but he just did not take a second year. Yeah there were some reports from Our friend Matthew Berry had noted that era jittery like Salazar staff-related Allen. So I think they're going to add a wide receiver for sure. But for now I would consider Allen Lazard the front runner for the number two wide receiver job. Assuming they don't add anybody which then was certainly

"Next year at least maybe five but they also need wide receivers especially if they're gonna let Robby Anderson walk if they get any of the four top tackles or lamb or Judy I'm not going to complain it's so much depends on how the fallout from the top ten affects them and what they do in free agency because again if they sign Conklin or Costanzo shakes free and they signed him and they signed a guard and you want to use a second and a third round pick on offensive linemen to play more inside media center you think could start from day one I can accept that if you're gonna get the play making wide receiver totally fair and I think you'll find the answers with free agent offensive lineman I don't know if you find answers at wide receiver and let me look for allies the chance to paint a more Cooper one twenty two twenty three million dollars a year which I would not and I will go for I would not do it any Robby Anderson is gonna end up pricing himself out of the jet's what they're willing to give them I'm a little higher on him than will was I never loved him but he showed me a lot in the second half last year fighting for fifty fifty balls going up he really he was a much better player last year that he had been his first couple years with the team more complete player but I can't give him top flight money to be number one wide receiver I just still don't think he's that guy the problem is if you're going as deep as this draft is for receivers if you go into the season which Jamison Crowder and you know they just signed Josh doctson who can't stay on the field and a guy who had taken the sector third round even if he has a high ceiling that's a really bad wide receiver corps for got a quarterback in his third year we're hoping he makes a big jump even if the offensive line is better that group of receivers will not fly that's the conundrum I'm not the biggest Robby Anderson said I'm not paying him fifteen million dollars a year doing allergies got chemistry with quarterback so it will hurt if he ends up going to play elsewhere and there is a whole lot of unknown thought we see if weeks a lot easier for a quarterback to make it work with subpar wide receivers if the line is good as opposed to the opposite where you may have saw wide receivers your line is gone Bosch okay well and if we're paying attention to what Joe Douglas did with the eagles my gut tells me he's gonna go on offensive line offensive line offensive line and take a wide receiver in the second or third round who can you can get a guy who can contribute from day one he's not gonna be a star but he'll be a good player for you knew right off the bat and maybe you know they don't go as far as high as Amari Cooper and a lot Anderson go but they'll find somebody else that could be a solid dependable receiver it was in the the problem with the jets is we all like to think they're all one all season away there at least two good off seasons away having a good team totally don't be fooled by the phone the second half last year they played well this is not a team that's a couple players away from winning ten games and look at the schedule to this schedule at the end of last year I know you can only plays on the schedule was rather favorable day schedule if you're any ACC check it out can I get you got the S. he was coming and that means you got a game a passer by homes good luck have fun and you got to do with the NFC west so you got a not a team that went to the Superbowl you have a Seahawk team that has the second best quarterback in the league in Wilson give a rams team that still has a ton of talent and is going to be angry and by the way the cardinals in that division computer last year they're a team that's on the rise and actually played a tough schedule last year good luck all our work to do for Joe Douglas a company could be some very interesting answers come out a combine forget about the combine stuff here from the GMC said coaches that's what it's all about four fifty seven here on this Tuesday morning it's D. J. after died judges justly right here on the fat it was rather interesting day for the New York Rangers and the spring debut of Gerrit call final hours coming up next already so where are we headed for the honeymoon gosh mom I thought we talked about this the honeymoon is just for James and me we'll see you when.
