"Okay. I think as women too, because we're carers, you know, a lot of when we had our helpline and that was all free supporting people. And I think, you know, part of it is part of it should be free, like the podcast. Everyone said to me, you should monetize your podcast. You should. Everyone's doing it. I said, no, I refuse to. This is a free resource for people that can't access help, have been monetized. And I the board pushed and pushed for years. And I said, no, I'm not doing it. It's my concept. And I'm not going to charge for something that one is free most of the time anyway. It's rare that you pay for a podcast. I don't I've never paid for a podcast. Well, no, I think maybe monetizing and maybe a board. Yeah, I think monetizing is more just making sure you understand how to offer your program so that people, when they do hear incredible things, know where to go to work with you. And secondly, monetizing it means get advertisers. Well, that's different. Yes. Yeah. And that's something that next step. Yeah. Next step. But even now, just promoting the business through the new podcast, putting in what I actually do, because our previous podcast, we don't we've never really said, you know, it's yes, it's been a community service. Now, that's not that's not the same with the Hobo CEO podcast, the one we're on today. It's different. But I think when I was doing the training through the Fempire to become a Fempire coach, what really stood out to me was the money mindset and your family beliefs. Family belief systems. Yep. And I think that, like, as we were saying before we hopped on that, you know, my dad came from poverty, so he's still got this poverty mindset. And my mum came from this mindset of always spending and juggling everything. Well, mum would hate saying this, but anyway, mum, robbing Peter to pay Paul, really. And so that you're constantly shifting money all the time. Yep. Yeah. And that's the skill set that I learnt that I don't want to pass on to my daughter because it's not a I don't feel comfortable in that space. But that's how we were raised. And so you have all these if you're not taught from a young age, the value of money and how you use it wisely, then you can easily bring that into your business. Yeah, absolutely. I think that's what stuck with me with that training was around, well, how do you how do you come to money in a mental in a how do you think about money? And I wanted to talk to you about that today. Beautiful. Yeah. So in Fempreneur, a program that you, of course, run and have been trying to run in the first week, the first week is all about getting to know yourself as a human. And because we are the ones that are the most classic at sabotaging our own success and our own business success and things like that. And I've certainly got to points in my business where if I wasn't completely mindful of my conditioning and my patterns and my belief systems, that I would notice myself sabotaging things. So, you know, when we talk about, hey, would you like to have a hundred thousand dollar mark? You know, can you really some girls you just you just can't wrap your head around that, you know, you might think you want it, but do you believe you can have it so and that it is real? And honestly, I'm obviously role in groups where that is very, very real. And that is quite low for some business, plenty of businesses out there. But a lot of women, again, you can't be what you can't see. So they don't see other women doing that very often. So it becomes very hard to believe. And they certainly haven't got them that from their family dynamics. So years ago, I studied family systems and this particular system around money. And so we put that into the first module of the course because it is so important to understand your belief systems around money. And of course, now I can identify them and you've been coached to identify the belief systems that people are running. But it starts with it really does start with so traditionally our belief systems, we code in the things that we believe generally under the age to up to age zero to seven. OK, and this is very basic. We're not going to do a deep dive here, but you just have to work with Shay if you want to do a deep dive.

"Representative iona Presley, who's a black Democrat from Massachusetts. And they are proposing that doing this the way that they prescribed giving money to people is somehow going to help the will gap between black and white people. Now let me just explain this to you how stupid it is because instead of black people in powerful positions, focusing on things that actually will help black people, these individuals are promoting things that are easy, quick fixes that won't fix anything. This proposal doesn't say just giving money to black people. I want us all to understand that. The proposal is that anybody who's born after 22,005 will get a $1000 seed. And then there's obviously a financial aspect to it. You have to make a certain amount of money. And let me just read through this. And it says that the thing would give children up to $2000 a year in lower income families and amount that would drop as families earn more. Once a family makes more than 500% of the government's poverty level, their kids would only receive in the initial 1000 dollar payment. They estimate children in the poorest families would have $46,000 to use for schools and or buying a home by the time that they turned 18. The Booker said in a statement that the plan is explicitly aimed to fix the wealth gap. However, this is not just for black folks. So people who are under the poverty level, I would argue that most people under the poverty level in this country probably are white, but the percentage is probably leaning more towards minorities. But the amount of poor white people is way more than a man of poor black and brown people. The amount of white people in prison is way more than the amount of black people in prison. It's just disproportionate amounts of black people are in poverty. Disproportionate amounts of black people are incarcerated. It's not that there's more. So all the poor white kids are going to get $46,000 if this scenario meet the scenario that they're talking about about the age of 18. How is that going to change the wealth gap? And why are they promoting as if it's beneficial to black and brown people? They can't just focus on black people because that would be racist. And no way form of fashion with a bill be put into place that's exclusively racist against people in our nation is against the constitution. So they got to say, we're going to give everybody money to help black people. It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard in my life. And just because you give somebody money, don't mean it's going to help them. If I had $46,000 in my bank account, when I turned 18, I would have blown it. I knew nothing about money management. I wanted to ball out of control when I was young. I didn't have no direction when it comes to when it comes to financial literacy. I just didn't. The information I had was for my father, probably, you know, watching what my father does, but my father never sat down and said, this is how you manage your money. This is how you build your credit. I never had that conversation with my dad, all my mom. So $46,000 in the bank, we're gonna go do nothing but B $46,000 spent on my 18th birthday. Now, we already know just based on these numbers right here. I own a Pressley admitted that in her district that let me see, it says the average, the median, black household, households in her congressional district have a median net worth of $8. $8. Let me just say this again. Black households and I own a Pressley's district has a median net worth, not net income, net worth of $8. While white households have a median net worth of $250,000. Now, clearly they don't live in the same neighborhood, her district probably encompassed a lot of wealthy people as well. However, $8 net worth, that's not a problem of racism in a problem of access to wealth. That's a problem I'm just managing your wealth. If the first thing you do when you get money to go out and buy material things and you're not buying investment, then your network is going to be low. And we all know if you look at any spending patterns of black people in America that black people are riddled with the idea of consumerism, which means that black people viewed themselves, not all, but a large majority of black people viewed themselves as consumers in our producers. Viewed themselves in a role of consuming and not investing. You look at all of these big time money making guys. They rocking everybody else's brand. Then I build my brand. They rocking somebody else's brand. They promote somebody else's stuff for free. Because they want to buy it because they want to look good. You know what I mean? Rolls royces have been purchased because black people run around flying Rolls Royce, rolls royces, how much jewelry are purchased by NFL players? They don't own anything, but they got jewelry. This is a cultural thing that I put black people in a bad position. However, our leaders don't help us, they pitch things that will hurt us. You need an education, you need an education more than you need a $1000 in your bank account. Because if you know nothing, if you don't know what to do with a $1000, it doesn't matter how much money you have in your bank account, you're not going to manage it properly. And you're just going to be you're just going to make a rich company richer. You know, I would argue this is such a counterproductive measure because it just really doesn't make any sense. Now, let me give you a scenario that I think what makes sense and I think this should have been applicable to the NCAA. Is that let me not give you money, let me open up an opportunity for you to take advantage of it. Instead of the government given low income people, money, give them an opportunity to go to school for free. And I don't think this is good because they're taking taxpayer dollars, but I'm saying if there was an opportunity to do this without and what I haven't even mentioned yet would have to gouge in people who have money for raising property tax if there was if the government would transfer the funds that they spend the LGBTQ transgender affirmative research and safety classes and all of a sudden the stuff that they use that are wasting hundreds of millions of dollars. If you wanted to allocate the funds like that, then allocate the funds where you address the issue of education. If a kid is 18 years old and you can fund that kid's education up through a bachelor's degree, that kid may be more inclined to go to school and have an education and have a job that they can then get. But if you 18 years old, you blow out your money and you don't go to school and get an education. What's the point of having the money? If you know nothing about business, you know, nothing about entrepreneurship, you know, nothing about taxes, you know, nothing about credit, and you have $46,000 in your bank account. What are you going to do with it? Now, I'm going to get to my second point. Because I believe with the first point, the problem with all of this is that not only are these black leaders destroying the wealth growth capability of black people by just throwing money in their face, they want to rob Peter to pay Paul. This is how animosity is created. You're saying that you're going to raise

You want to make sure that the UK is attractive and there's a package of measures that allows us to compete with other investment destinations. Because the window for this investment around electric vehicles and batteries is a relatively small one and it's closing. Okay, just very briefly has kissed said anything or indicate anything he's about to make a very big speech this morning that would encourage you to look to labor's policies. They're really trying to appeal to business. I believe they are and certainly politically agnostic. Whichever part party looks to have policies that will encourage manufacturing in general automotive specifically invariably the industry is going to look to that party, that set of policies has more likely to attract the investment that is critical to this industry, because once you invest in automotive, the spread effect on the rest of the regional and national economy is significant, given the multiplication factors that have been implicit in manufacturing. Well, we'll see if he adds anything to all of that in Keir Starmer's speech later today. Mike, thank you so much for joining us. My cause chief executive of the society of motor manufacturers and traders. Okay, let's get some of our top stories now. So in his first feed speech of 2023, Rishi sunak has set out a series of pledges to voters, three months into the job, the prime minister promised to deliver peace of mind for the public as his government faces widespread strikes and a creaking national health service. We hugely value public sector workers like nurses. They do incredibly important work. And that's why we want a reasonable dialog with the unions. About what's responsible and fair for our country. And in the coming days, we will update you on the government's next steps. Prime minister Rishi sunak speaking yesterday, now the opposition leader Keir Starmer is due to give a major speech this morning setting out labor's priorities for the year ahead with his party more than 20 points ahead in recent polling. And Republican leader Kevin McCarthy has failed 6 times in two days to get elected as speaker of a Speaker of the House of Representatives rather without a speaker, the house is unable to carry out any other business. Arkansas representative French hill tells Bloomberg, it's hard to know what the rebels want. People kept changing their demands, initially it was, let's have an outstanding Republican conference rules package and a House rules package. Kevin McCarthy listened to that. "If they're not working on anything until this game's out, we're going to have to wait a while. Here's the big problem. The original game now has so many issues. They're going to have to have a team working on the original part. And those people can't work on the DLC. Yeah. So that does make me nervous because they did sell that DLC in these new animations and new places. They still got to fix the original. And I can tell you a developer does get impacted by that. It does it pulls resources. Look at cyberpunk dude. Yeah. Right, who pushed out there? Yeah, so I would be just being honest, I would expect to hear of delays on some other content. In less, you know, maybe they can bring in extra people to deal with that. Depends on how it will definitely because otherwise you're a small developer and this is your first game and now you're trying to rob Peter to pay Paul. So I worry about that. And then also are people going to want to play that DLC now? That's a big deal. That space treatment coming out. We got four solace. There's competitors. Is sports office the one I posted last night or is that the other Troy baker that space? But more story focused, they had inspiration from the Detroit become human people. Okay. Like it's more interactive story type thing. What would you say, Johnny? I talked over here. I was going to say this isn't a replayable game, at least. No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no. By any metric. So imagine imagine that you beat it now. It has all these issues. You're kind of done with it right by the time you're done. And then you've already paid for DLC. So now what you have to kind of go back and replay. So unless it's a completely secluded area that you go in and play that separately. Well, that's why I don't agree with season passes right off the bat. I fucking hate them now, man. We weren't talking about AI. I think it's a lot of times of old by two India. It'll bite you in the ass. I'll pay for it. Yeah, yeah, sell me. And midnight suns. Come on. The season pass with the 24 skins that unlock right at launch. Oh, speaking of at launch, did you guys see Callisto also at launch day one admitted that the another difficulty in stuff are delayed till February. So they already delayed some stuff that was supposed to be in the game today, and they've delayed it now. To February is a new difficulty in something else they've delayed. So there are already? Was it the word mode? Yeah, I saw the news this morning that they had delayed it. Midnight sounds, man. We'll talk about that in a second. So Callisto, let's see. Oh, I wanted to point something out that I thought was, this is going to happen every time. So I don't even know what I'm pointing it out. But I can't believe I mean, I'm just going to be honest, almost rarely ever agree with like what are the fucking radar? Greg Miller. Kind of funny games. Kind of funny. I was okay with it because it wasn't about talent I didn't think. All right, let's get right to it. Okay, folks, it's the off season, supposedly. And like all the other sports, the NBA and free agents and all the deal making is so forth as well, it's just as big and just as popular as the games themselves, scary tag way you're in love with bob Brian it is the riot of podcasts. Jeff is on a plane right now. We are going to hear from him later on. Thanks to technology. He's going to give us his comments on what's going on with the Celtics. But this program is powered by our partners who have been online as they continue to be the number one source for all your betting needs and sports information. Okay, bob, let's get to it. We got a lot going on now. Yeah. The crazy thing with Durant. Reporting that the warrior sons raptors and heat all in position. To make a deal for Durant, he wants out Kyrie's back in, what do you make of this whole thing? God, it isn't soap opera. And his life, his career. Because we know that Irving's is unprecedented in NBA history. But Durant is certainly carving out a unique path for himself and this is I mean, what are they going to have to give up? What are they giving up if they get them? I mean, they're the funny champs, they're in good shape. They have lost a couple of their depth components and Payton a second and auto Porter each of them are left them, but they did resign ludi. The core core that is still left, I don't know. Well, let's take bob, but one thing that came to my mind is right, okay, if you're the warriors, do you need to make this deal? No. No, you don't. You don't need to make it. So then you go to the suns, right? The suns are a team that they're trying to get over the hump. So Booker just signs an extension. What do you do there? Because if you're the next, I want Booker. I mean, Peter, rob Peter to pay Paul, and more or less, this is what is going to be intriguing about it.

"And so a lot of these things we've done at naturally just not realizing that's what it was, or that's what we call it. But yeah, there's lots of research out there. And one thing to remember too is that, I mean, some people may say something different, but for the most part, again, it's a gentle way of taking care of yourself. Is a gentle way. Now, not to say, especially when it comes to healing, there's work to be done, meaning that may not always be pleasant. In and of itself, but again, when it comes to meditation, this so many benefits to it as compared, I want to say to almost anything else because life will make you do it anyway, because we do it in some form, but it's just that because of the way society has always moving first instant and resistant to it. So part of it does come to training. But yeah, there's lots of research out there to support the benefits of it. Thank you for that. Malcolm, I wanted to go back to what we were talking about with the finances and mental health and you said you meet with clients, you take deep breathing exercises sometimes or X, Y, and Z but how do you get now, you are in two mindsets right now. You have your being vulnerable. You're sharing your story, but you also know the importance of finances, right? How can I focus on money when I got all this other stuff going on? I got to rob Peter the peephole. I got to do all of this X, Y, and Z to make sure I can sustain. So I don't got time to breathe. I don't got time to do this because I'm so focused on that. How do you get clients past that or get them to see the bigger picture, long-term strategy wise? Well, I think what most people don't understand is that we're more emotionally attached to money than we than we lead on. So what I try to do is make it about the client first, always, right? So it's about, what is it that you want to do? How do you see yourself in three years? And three years, what does success look like to you? And one year, what does success look like to you? Now, for example, I was speaking with a client last week and she mentioned wanting to buy a home. So then we go into this practice of, I need you to describe that home. I need you to describe everything about it. I need to know the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the how many garages tell me what the kitchen looks like. So now, as you're picturing this home, there's something going on inside of you. Emotionally, there's something going on inside of you. It's the same as, you know, like we used to have to write a check, right? There were times where people put stuff on a piece of paper and gave it to somebody and that's how.

And they're always damning me. Like how do i cure this. Or what's the main thing. I need to fix this and kind of puts a little bit of shivers. Down my back in terms of you know on the flip side to it's just you don't just fix it either and you just don't diagnose it as dead end Diagnosis as well. So i i love that you did that. And you also mentioned that imbalances in hormones isn't solely due to the endocrine system so maybe we can explore that a little bit absolutely so the hormones you know they are supposed to be produced and cleared and metabolize in a certain way and so if there are imbalances there is something causing the hormones to be out of balance and Oxidative stress plays a huge factor in that. And my i think my mission after writing the book even before but like it just became really clear that the world just needs to know what the term oxidative stress is because a lot of people just stress is work stress. Family stress schedule stress. Maybe they might know about physical stress if they are. You know you hear about the athletes that just over and the women lose their periods and stuff like that but really Especially with the modern world today with the environmental stressors of all of these things. The physical stress the emotional stress the environmental stress of all of those impact our cells and our cellular health and the first thing to go is the reproductive cells because reproduction is not necessary to stay alive for your personal body to stay. I guess for our our race but the human race. So the body. I say rob peter to pay paul because it saying we'll obviously now's not a good time to make a baby because we're under all this stress so let's just steal from what we need from the processes that create the hormones to deal with the stressor. And i have to you like two thumbs up because going through the outline of the book and then as soon as you get into some of the more difficult concepts of oxidation and what happens with that and how we brought peter to pay paul and all of the domino's that get impacted by that is a daunting task for sure..

And i have watched basically every good movie in the last year at home and i love the convenience of it but would you be willing to watch every movie at home if you knew it would end the theater business as you know it became and business off you will and then eventually no no. No i disagree. We have to collectively make a decision. We're either going to go back to. I mean guys like mason are always go back. I mean it's in his blood right. But it's the guys like me. And you. Greg that are going to make or break the theater business and i really don't want to see a world where you can't go out on a on a night and go to the movies so i'm willing to get back into the theaters. If it saves the theater business. Mike mesa those theatres that are next studio. La live did they survive. I believe they are still open but we lost the arclights. All the arc lights. We lashed someone right around the corner from my house including the center Madonna and it's this has been really really hard on theaters. I'm trying to get out there and support my lok there. You go thank all right onto the next one shot clock thing. That's good yeah. Ucla basketball is known for only hanging championship banners. They don't celebrate final fours or below. Just how it is. Usc football is the same way. They celebrate championships. This is what the big schools do well last week. Athletic director mike bohn had elite eight rings given to every one of the on the ucla basketball players to celebrate their magical run mason. How do you feel about eight rings. I'm totally fine with you. Know generally speaking. I think participation trophies are okay to for little kids. I think you should build self. Ooh okay and in this particular case the fact that usc basketball made it to the elite eight is a frigging miracle. And i think it should be celebrated. Has usc ever gone to the final four. I don't think they. I mean and rarely have been in the elite eight. I absolutely have no problem with this whatsoever. Gray will by the way it was football. I'd say no i would. I'll speak for my usc friends. Because i spent some time with some this past week. They don't like that. Mike bone has lowered the stander of a standard of excellence. Se for example. Usc used to be one of those schools. Where you win or you get fired especially in football and the fact that klay holton mason. I both liked clay. The fact that klay hilton had a losing season had four hundred seven season and they kept him soured a lotta. Usc fans soured fans because they liked having a high standard of excellence and mike bone hasn't lived up to that so i think it's a problem. It isn't taylor you said that. Usc david wessel blows. I wanted taylor had some. What was it what your usc go. The final four nineteen forty and nineteen fifty four. Oh those weren't born okay. All right well. Michael k williams passed away. Yesterday was very very sad. This guy was just an incredible actor and from the stories that i've read. He wasn't credible person to he was unapologetic in his acting and stole every scene on every show that he was in to me personally. His character omar in the wire. Top three actor in television show period yet but as for h. b. o. Shows it's omar on the wire the other two and no order. Twenty soprano of the sopranos and selina. Meyer veep who are your top three. Hbo television actors or actresses. John you can start number. One is larry david. I think curb your enthusiasm is the funniest half hour. Comedy ever seinfeld on steroids. I i can't tell you how many times i've watched curb by myself and fallen over laughing number two. I don't know which actor i would pick. It would rob peter dink lidge but you gotta put somebody. From game of thrones on. That list might be amelia. Clark who played collegiately. I think dink is the guy mays who came the closest to stealing every angry on that. Yeah so he would be number two. And i don't know if this counts but i thought it was an exceptional character. Danny mcbride as kenny on eastbound and down was a show stopping successor. So those are the three that popped into my head. How about you. So peter dink. College is just outside my top three. My top three. Go larry david. I don't think you can start the list. Without larry david number two selena meyers for meyer. The best selina meyer of course Julia louis dreyfuss and the third one is actually my favorite arc on the sopranos is christopher. Mola santi so. I put into their michael imperial who i think was just a great character ended none. I want to spoil ended badly for him but a great character. Peter dinka jr really close omar really close They're they're definitely so many characters that hbo is created. But those would be my great go ahead. And then i. I gave my nose tony. Soprano selina meyer and omar. Okay goodbye michael. K williams played omar. Do you guys know what was unique about omar on the wire. it's why he was barack obama's favorite character omar was feared. Your background with soft shotgun jer. He he ruled every scene was in. He is the only regular character on the wire. All five seasons who never ever said a four letter word. Wow he never. Michael williams just didn't wanna play the character that way and And so he's the one that you know he just. He was in work blue no and he was a he was a gay assassin hood. And you root for him some fascinating fascinating character. I saw i saw l. z. Post something today. That said the asked the show runner why they made omar gay and he said why did i make all the other ones straight to question. Why why are there so many straight people on that show. That's what i say. Hey greg is that it for jump one more. I got one more or go all right. Ted lhasa was done wonders for the sports world. And just basically a general life. Football is life and now us and now players are quoting the show after games as pitcher cole. Irvine had a really bad outing on sunday. Seven runs in two hundred third innings fairy. Ruining it in the post game dresser said to move on. He will be like a goldfish. Have a ten second memory. The direct quote from ted lasso which is incredible. Do you guys use any quotes from tv shows or movies in your everyday lingo here. First of all let me take my wife who was a captain number tennis team when they went to sectionals put little plastic goldfish in the backpacks of all the women on the team and got a big inflatable goldfish. Because she said look this team. These teams were playing a really good. If you get a boat raced have a memory like a goldfish. And they made it all the way to the finals. While so that goldfish thing works..

"Flipped and tj would assigned. I guess who would have got paid more myles. Yeah yes get paid at some point right. You still might be guaranteed again. But i'll you teach. And what goes by him just because he's got a time sure and so doesn't mean he's already made he's already made forty six million dollar definitely pretty good and he's starting to validate exactly why he chose him. These full grown man and a chance every year. Now it'd be the defensive player the as does t. j. watt. He's about to get paid all right. David kelly and tyrod taylor. We're talking to david. Kelly talked about the team vaccine when anybody seems to say something. That's not what the narrative is across the country of. You have to do it. I always respect somebody who speaks their mind whether we agree or disagree with them. And tyrod taylor talking about vaccines When he was asked a question am. I think that's a personal matter to speak about it. i can't say whether mr ryder right or wrong thing. I think this just a personal choice. Hoping gaza taylor taking the right precautions To do to the right paying to protect one another mean regardless of not think you still have to treat it as if is just as real. It was last year you see. I am on me. And i tried to keep it on at all times and i think that's that's has to be the mindset moving forward everyone whether they're vaccinated and not just because it's something coming out each and every day is so so many new reports around it at Notifies everyone healthy on the season we have to take the right precautions. All right now when i hear him say that and people. What's wrong with that his approach. I mean there's an run people do. Is they assume that since he says. It's a personal thing that means he's not vaccines get pissed off about it and i just don't understand why i don't exactly the first thing people say well if you say it's a personal decision that they're saying he's saying he may be vaccinated talking about right and he may not be in any maybe he may be one of the five they may not be. The point is for him. It's amazing how we he simply explained it. If i didn't know anything bula said you make good point. Keep your mask on commonsense. Be understand that. It's a personal decision for people. Don't want the guest. Does it seem logical that you should be. I get it but some don't want to yet. There'll be some out some dude sitting in in minneapolis. Tau tyrod taylor. What is he. He's gonna kill somebody says well tyrod we don't know if tyrod taylor's vaccinated or not he simply said it's a personal decision. I don't disagree with him on that. Now a personal decision. As i've said the you don't just got to take into account your family and you when it comes to work now you've got other players in games depending on it that if all if a game gets cancelled or you know what i mean. So he's right as you can see. He says it's changing every day. I had no problem with his answer. And i wouldn't ever even if he wasn't vaccine. I'm not going to berate him. I think you taking probably as a player these days taking a few risks about missing games as a starter cheshire. Sure and then if you lose them and there's a chance that somebody else loses them and that's a bummer. For them because they miss a game i get it but i just and i know everybody wants to speak for everybody. I'm not speaking for anybody when it comes to that. I'm not speaking for tyrod taylor. But that's just a very calm. Humble answer take precautions. We got other people to think about and it's a personal decision. Now he may in private say. It's a personal decision. I did it. My teammates should but he's not going to decide for joe six pack. What he supposed to do when all is said and done. We're going to find out. Just how vaccinated unvaccinated effected the nfl this year. It's a chance in a precaution. If you didn't take the we'll go find out how it works for and if you did take it then we'll find out what works for you and your team so i just I respect his answer. I don't know if he's vaccinated. And i would never ask him. It's up for him but as leaders. You're trying to make sure people do the right thing so your team can go out. Perform people get paid and people are safe and whatever order you put it in safe. Obviously being the priority. So it's a it's a strange thing when something like this comes and people are trying to make quick decisions on urgent decisions. I know that with the fda approval. People are gonna automatically say well then. There's no reason not to get it. And maybe that's the case but it's hard telling somebody who's hardcore against it not saying tyrod taylor anybody else telling them to do something put it this way. You rob peter. You pay paul. You're going to have to face teammates if you fail and you're not vaccinated if they know you know what i mean. I'm not saying him any this. Just like in life scott's quite as you get it. Yeah that's you're taking the chance that's your. That's your decision to take that chance. There's been plenty of examples out. That's what made my decision easy. There's plenty of examples and been around somebody that had it and it's right. They were in the hospital for months. And i know is one person or whatever but it's the risk you're willing to take and it affects people differently. Some may not be affected. All some may but if you're taking the risk hints why. I'm not telling you what to do me not you but anybody and tyrod taylor is a leader of the team. It's a personal choice but there are there precautions. Need to be taken so we can do our job so we'll see how it works out throughout the nfl. And i don't know how many i know teams are claiming they're fully vaccinate or close a lot of them. The question is you wonder will a non vaccine or the vaccinated affect their season interesting. And the tyrod taylor. I answered because a lot of guys don't want to answer the question right. But i thought he handled it professionally and it's going to be interesting. How the vaccinations. Or lack thereof effect play and paychecks when the first vikings are the team to watch because apparently they're guys just addressed it address that as well. Yeah it was interesting how he addressed it in. They seem to be a team is pretty adamant in certain places against sportstalk seven. Ninety shot sows. We show we'll talk offense with tyrod taylor or at least hear what he had to say. Next sean salisbury. Show smart ass on your smart speaker. Google play sean.

"Guys. I'm a bit baffled. That in the brian steph have driven ratings board. Lebron is popular and polarizing and look polarizing. Some love you some hate you but usually that means they'll watch you look it up floyd mayweather something like that. And it has it translated from the brian. What i would guess when you compared michael jordan and the way he drove ratings to lebron. Is that jordan's game was so much prettier right. His game was so much more graceful. It was just beautiful to watch him. Play the game of basketball now. Lebron in some people's eyes is just as effective. But he does it a different way. And it's not as fun to watch now steph. On the other hand i would think is closer to jordan. It's smaller player. Shooting threes changed the game. Great ball handling. I would've thought people really wanted tune in to watch steph. So i'm a big baffled by having driven in the fact is they have. Let's have this philosophical conversation. I've had with marcellus before. I think outside of addressing groom. I'm not gonna blame this on the brian and steph. Because what we know is this right. Now tv distractions the market is more saturated than ever with content sale. Correct me if i'm wrong. I think it was you who were having this conversation with me. And i think it was telling me that will never be another michael jackson and there will never be another michael jackson. Not necessarily because of talent. My dog marcellus please along with not necessarily because of talent alone but the fact of the matter is we just didn't see michael jackson and there weren't a lot of distractions. It was michael jackson. Eddie murphy michael jordan. There wasn't a lot of competition. there wasn't twitter. There wasn't instagram. There were bloggers weren't youtubers. There wasn't netflix or wasn't who luna word streaming it was just as all your primetime entertainers. You're trying time sports. You didn't even get to see taco tuesdays. And what they were doing. You saw michael jackson. It was just like you saw god because you only ever see michael data on the two. I don't know if it lebron steph. Just aren't that captivating gore lebron steph have to compete with war competition than ever as far as eyeball watchers and as far as viewers. We might be careful what we wish for because we go look back at the end of this ratings and wonder just how. Many people are tuned into the bucks and the sons. So i just throw that and more soul of knowledge in there because broussard. I don't want to blame something on lebron steph. When if we look back. I don't know maybe sheer coincidence. When was twitter founded. I believe two thousand seven when lebron played the spurs. I believe two thousand seven. I'm not gonna say that. Twitter is the exact reason why lebron didn't have that but i will say when did blockbuster start to fall to net flicks. I believe it was two thousand. Six two thousand seven when lebron and the cast later spurs. I believe it was two thousand seven. I just think some of these are also just happens. Dance as opposed to bits on the brian in. It's on steph. I think that's fair in that. That's certainly a part of it. There's no denying that. However when we talk about michael jordan and we are talking about cable television existed. It wasn't obviously like today. But we're not talking about going back to the seventies and eighties. Maybe where there were three channels. You know where you had to watch. Abc nbc or cbs. So i get what you're saying. And i do think that's part of it. But that doesn't account for all of it and so it look the viewership shares which is the percentage of television sets that our own that are viewing. The nba are higher than they've been this playoffs since two thousand and two two thousand and three. That's that's incredible to me now. Granted a lot of people are watching it on their phones and stuff today but still the percentage of. Tv's that are owens. That are watching nba basketball in. These playoffs have been higher than ever since two thousand and three. That's saying a lot is saying a lot of. It's also saying that. Michael jordan is different bro. Michael jordan is a top four nba series finals. Five of the top six and number nine of the top ten now to point tremendous point. I made it to them. Outside of address room longtime ago he echoed is real. We're not as enamored would are stars as we once were in part because we used only see him perform and then jumped into a limo and then perform again like that was it. We didn't have all of the personality that colored the entire picture fewer channels as well. I'll give you all of that but if you look at the bottom ten rated finals. They don't have the same disparity top ten rated finals. They stop at the nineteen ninety eight bottom team. You go back to nineteen eighty nine thousand nine hundred eighty one at even last year so it covers the entire range in terms of our viewing experience with kind of undermines. We were talking about it. The dressing room. Something's going on. But i know what if lebron or steph going on. Not everybody's interested crazy coming up y'all just upgraded to questionable for game one tonight. Should we be concerned. The books rushing the two time. Mvp back that's next. Don't speak for your sad. Jaanus has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable tonight with a hyperextended left knee reports. Say he is quote going to fight tooth and nail to be in the lineup asunder favored by six points at home game. One according to fox bets fourth book. Chris bussard back with us. Marcellus worry the bucks are rushing. Janas that no. I'm not worried at all Speaking from experience. I had hyperextended knee before. And you honest you don't have to fight tooth and nail to come back you need to fight ice and still bring your book back. All it takes is to reduce the swelling and deal with the level of pain. Think about it when you hyperextension knee and you obviously put that pressure on your joints. You stretch it out your muscles. At least structurally. He was fine so they're intact your bones. Strong darren tech so now is just about less reduced the swelling so therefore you can have a level of pain that you can manage and go out there and perform now. The pain in your body is always telling you what hurts and how much it hurts. It's funny people always thinking like. Oh can i play or not this until you're paying your paying to tell you exactly because if tell you exactly what your body is feeling and going through so you're not telling your pain anything you're paying is leading that monologues. All i know of janas does come back. We've all heard this before from doctors. Well if you come back the chances of you risking further injury is minimal in this one. They're actually telling the truth. They lied the k. d. when they get it wrong in this situation you can't get it right because he would not be able to even participate if the level of pain swelling as too much. So if you see him out there is because he can manage it and it can go out there and perform. Oh no no no. No no what they do know in. They are rushing. Kim back and it is going to be to the detriment of the bucks and the detriment of the entire organization. Why do i know that. I'm looking at the past. What happened when the lakers rushed. Bet what did they give them. Six minutes no points. One rebound one assist what happened when the nets rush. James harden back game five against the same bucks. What james harden give forty five minutes over eight from three one for ten from the field five points in forty five minutes. They are robbing peter to still not pay. Paul and peter and mass going to be a problem if you rush on his back. You're gonna rob game one to still not be able to pay game tour game three back that a matter is this. The lakers lost a game. Came in and played six minutes left. The nets won the game. The james harden played those forty five minutes but not because james harden they wanted despite james harden they want it in spite of james harden they want because katie dropped forty nine seventeen and ten if the bucks are to win this game they would be winning it because of middleton not because of a hobbled yana saturday cuneo. Don't rush him back. Don't rob peter particularly if you can't pay paul anyway. Just let him chill and play game to game. Three.

"Minus will get the win. This is the core of the social protection. We provide the nation in the use of government to protect all of us all of us to protect each other. So it's been a natural target. Just in the mid seventies we also had shifts in the economy and that created some short walls and we also had demographic changes nothing. Nothing that could be handled wasn't dancing. Ira both staff to the nineteen eighty. Two eighty three greenspan commission national commission on. I'd social security reform. They reached saying reasonable salute. Set of proposals much which became law in place social security inside in a financially positive position really until today but along with that right after the legislation signed the cato institute a libertarian conservative institute had a conference about. What do we do about this we. They're disappointed that. Ronald reagan did not cut social security in their answer. The best answer they had came out in an article that peter tremendous and butler butler wrote the Basically talking about how you pull social security apart. Leninist approach to her four Tell young people old people. Don't worry happy we're not going to hurt you. Nothing's going to happen to tell young folks it's not gonna be there for like the too much better. Their money was in savings private savings instead of social security in wall street in banking industry. Who wanted to get their fingers on social security privatization of really good thing to work for and that was the core of their set of arguments in what they did. next through. everything at the program is sort of a spaghetti against the wall strategy. Social security is unfair young people. It's unfair support people. It's unfair to rich people because that could make more in the stock market. You unfair to women. Because i live longer than men everything they could find they through and then they came up with this other strategy in the nineties especially about a fast track commission which nancy speaks so eloquently. One of the things that really did strike the book is that they they just the description of that plan as leninist. Then i to me that says so much about the the ultimate conservative goal here and undermining the new deals or what is left of the new deal state and and that that this issue of social security being the kind of the the the much of the state exist in a sense you the national labor relations act for instance. It's completely broken right. That social security still works quite well and the extent to which they're willing to go. And and i i don't know if that's more of a statement or you want to comment on the kind of ways in which the description of their ideas subscription as leninist What that really says about the ultimate goal zero of of the people behind this absolutely. I mean they talk about it also another kind of guerrilla warfare that it was that they were obviously. Do i get to try to be clever. But they revealed a lot in there in in new That their idea was even talk about as lennon. Savage gonna take a long time. You know they were prepared to. This was as our excess was written in one thousand nine hundred eighty three and we still see it. The the George w bush privatization which referred to is is taken directly out of leninist strategy redis feature and he basically said any people over fifty five. You don't have to worry one one quick story about that There's a dear colleague of eric's a minor nina's else hyphen Her father was in the. Nfl was very important. Getting the disability unsee prediction getting disability insurance through and and so forth she wants a care facility outside philadelphia and their local congressman. Came to talk. This was back when they were pushing the on. George w bush privatization plan and he said to the group You don't have to worry. No but none of your events are going to be cut. And alice told us the story that she raised her hand and stood up and said you just insulted everybody in this room. We care about our children and grandchildren. You know chose out the greedy ourselves. Were protesting these cuts. Because we don't want our children's benefits are grantham. She got a standing ovation. She said the congressman ever came back yet. She she is terrific. She is labor historian by life as well just a remarkable woman and you know the another piece of the strategy has been play young against old. All it's not only not gonna get it the geezers in there's a certain kind of oh rationality argument. Look we're spending all this money on old people. And what are we doing with kids. And that's kind of the argument. Of course the folks who are saying that don't really want to increase benefits for kids and it's not a one to one argument. It's really not appear. Rob peter to pay paul arguments. What we it's really. The concerns really are advancing all people especially people with like financial risks. That have to be dealt with thin. But that's played a long way a lot of academics. You can sam preston of outstanding demographer Story road something. Scientific american about children's versus the old and it has some traction even though fundamentally is not about young versus old it's about rich versus poor. It's about race in gender issues within our society if you talk young versus old you put all those away. You don't deal with them so that's still out. There has some power to real divide and conquer strategy young versus old. Sometimes it's all be wins with disabilities and that's what we really try to do in our book to talk about social security as an institution that really greens assault together. That the whole concept of the program is that if you're if you are in society and you rely on wages to pay your rent or mortgage note to put food on your table for your basic will socities you need insurance against the loss of those images you become unemployed you need unemployment insurance. We need disability insurance. You need life insurance. She leaves retirement insurance. We.

Ida is in central Austin this morning. I know what's on your mind. Good morning. I wanted to tell you Maybe in a real estate agent and the over 80 clubs. Yeah, I had a client. That was my mother's pull, man. He came and bought a house from one of the builders and I was his agent. They approved him and everything. Well, during all the supplies, and the price is going up. They went up on his house. After they had a contract. They went up on his house, and he lost it because he did. Didn't he didn't approve for it. Wow, That's just terrible, man. Oh, man. Yeah. Yeah, man. Have you ever seen anything like that before in your history? Yeah, Remember, we have never seen these builders go up that they have a contract with them. They're facing other, facing higher cost themselves. I mean, when they buy a stack of lumber, what they paid for a year ago is completely different. What they pay for it today? Absolutely. Let's see. Can't on the tide of Don show. Good morning. They can't Good morning gas. Hey, Uh, what did John Cornyn become a Democrat? What do you mean? Well, 25 cents of miles. My business were little truck, one truck operation over here and Taylor, Texas, and we average about 80,000 Miles a year. That would give me a $20,000 annual Tax liability increase. Yeah, Texas Senator John Cornyn exploding the idea to pay for infrastructure improvements across the country by a 25 cent tax on truckers out there 25 Cent a mile tax. That's quite a bit not not Not 25 cents a gallon, but 25 cents a mile is what the story reads. Gets feeling. He's not aware of what's going on in the trucking industry right now. No, I doubt that he's even ever seen a truck. To be honest with you. I think he's trying to get the conversation going on this front on how to pay for our road improvements. There's no doubt that you can is a trucker have a vested interest in good roads. And there's no doubt you think you would admit this to big rigs across our country do cause a lot of wear and tear on the roads. I may be. The better idea is All of us face a higher gas tax. Maybe so that it's just not saddled by you, the trucker. That would spread it around and we also we also pay an international fuel tax agreement between the fates with best in additional fuel tax that we already pay and we pay an annual heavy highway tax to the arrest that's formed 22 90. If you want to do some research on it, Check it out that That runs about $550 a year. They're supposed to go directly to Infrastructure, which we know how Washington works. Absolutely. Russell Wilson still wants Antonio Brown in Seattle
"Elements so last week long time. Nfl insider. john. Clay said on ninety three seven. Bannon pittsburgh that russell wilson is lobbying the team to sign super bowl winning receiver antonio brown wilson's name has come up in trade talks this season Obviously he hasn't been fully pleased with the seattle seahawks. That's no secret max kellerman. What's your reaction to wilson wanting. I'm confused here. I'm confused because abc does not come the same discount. He came on last year. The bucks right. There's a market for him. Now that's going to be more competitive than it was so it's not just like give basically getting abc for free. He wants them to lure a be away from a super bowl winning team with a great quarterback who still doing it and a great defense and everything all the things that russell wilson was complaining. He doesn't have right. Like i'm confused. Because ross i thought this was about your offensive line which through under the bus or not having a defense. Well there's a limited limited resources in the nfl per team. There's a salary cap. So you must rob peter to pay paul for every cent you spend on antonio brown. You can't spend that sent on your offensive line poor on your defense and it's not like you don't have metcalf and lock it. You have a receiving corps so of course what quarterback wouldn't want to throw the ball to. He's one of the greatest. Whoever did it but given the situation. He's lobbying for another receiver. I thought that was about the offensive line or the defense

"The irs and not to get into details of that but some personal taxes weren't filed on our behalf and sub clear. And so through. All of this. I ended up losing my business of fourteen years. But really twenty twenty two years in austin but as an ad agency had to sell my house to pay off the irs. To take care of all that mom died and that was from april to august. I mean and i know you're supposed to have one of those like a year for stress things than i just. I did it in four months. I'm an. I'm an overachiever. You got it. And i think i mean to me because i one of those people who were like nothing happens for a really long time and then it's like boom boom boom so there's always i refer to them as learning experiences that can come out of the other side but when you're in the middle of it it's hard. It's so hard and know you. And i talked last week about this. Is that the biggest. The hardest thing for me as i didn't want to tell anybody i was ashamed. I really thought my brand was who i was and i thought people liked me because i was connected and i was working movies and i you know had all these things and i thought how am i gonna tell people you know after so from the divorce which everybody was aware of that at the fallout from all the things that i found out during all that i thought i can't tell anybody i mean we were in the top twenty five if you looked at the ranks financially. We're one of the top twenty five agencies in austin. Yeah it was really hard. I was ashamed. I would go to work. And i would stare at my computer and i would cry and i had a staff. They knew obviously something was wrong. And what happened is i started to be completely transparent. I had rob peter to pay paul so pay the irs. I had to take money from the business to pay over there and then during this mike confidence was shot. My self esteem was gone. Mike pence was gone. So people would say you know what staff. Let's go get new business. There is no way there is no creative juices. So i i mean i've been not in obviously you are experience but in different experiences in mind divorce to where it wasn't the worst divorce on the planet but certainly was not a good one right on my kids were mass and juggling all these balls and did. I actually showed up with all i could do. Yeah i'm quitting pitiful for lack of better term. But i think everybody's had a moment like that. Where like that's it now. It's not that you don't have the drive to go get the business like that's a great idea. We should get where business. I can't do it right now. I can't do it if you ask me. If i ran into you somewhere and you asked me. How do i i would. Just start crying. Because there is a point where i couldn't cover it up anymore and somebody asked me later if i was depressed. If i've been depressed. And i said no because i never knew i've never been depressed. I didn't know what that looks like. And the later i thought about it i went well if going home every night and drinking a bottle of wine and not good wine because i had no money it was the bottom shelf crappy wine you know. They sleep and drink a bottle that i cry myself to sleep. Get up the next day i was like yeah. I guess i was depressed. I didn't know what that looked like night. Then standing on the steps and watching the the house be sold. My mom died.

"There's impeachment trial reports now today that the article and picture always sent over on Monday to the Senate. Yeah, well, look, I think you have to be able to do two things at one time. Most organizations don't get the luxury of just handling one thing and ignoring the rest of the world. And I think Congress is nimble enough and adept enough. And now with the leadership they have. I think they could do both. I think they can. Quickly confirm the president's cabinet. He's entitled to that. That should be done quickly to work on the American rescue plan on Keep Going after Kogod all the things that we have to do to get coated under control, and then the American rescue plan to start growing. It's out of it. I think they could do that, in addition to doing the impeachment trial that they're mandated to do so, Richard, let's turn back to our conversation We're having before Mr Ji started his briefing, and that is the changes. We're seeing the department labor in personnel a lot of changes being made by the by administration. And what that means for organized labor going forward. In the longer term, we have the immediate crisis. But then, of course we have the longer term issues. Of course we do. They look I under President Trump. The Department of Labor was designed T O keep workers from getting a voice on the job. You know or be with stacked with union busters they were department itself was the head of the secretary of labor was a union buster in his past life, so they were there to hurt workers. Labor Department is there to protect the rights of workers and the law of the land, says Who encouraged the process of collective bargaining. Rob Peter Robb spent three years attacking that process. And the president said right off the bat. New games in town. We're actually going to comply with the spirit of the law. We're going to encourage collective bargain. That's very, very important. It'll give workers a chance to get a voice look. 60 million workers. According to M. I t say they were joining union today, if given the opportunity, and they can't get the opportunity because the antiquated labor laws that we currently have Were drafted in the 19 forties, and they're no longer applicable there used right now to keep wages down to keep benefits down to keep job security and pensions sound. We need to change them. So we're pushing for the Pro act. Which would actually re balance the scale and actually protect the workers and help them get a stronger voice on the job helps them get better wages, better benefits, better pensions and more economic security. That is what's needed in this economy, and that's what we'll start to shrink. Any quality growing inequality that we've seen today. Which takes us to a key question, Which is how much of what you and I have. You represent organized labor Right now you need and want can be done by personnel by regulation. And what do you need to get statutes passed for Because those as you know, so well are two very different things in Washington. Well, there are scores David of executive orders that the president did that hurt workers and hurt workers rights, whether it's collective bargaining, whether it's a union election. Wanted to collect the barking of federal employees are health and safety so he could get rid of all of those with executive orders, and he is in the process of doing that. The big thing that needs to be done. Yes. We need to get rid of the antiquated labor laws as they said they were written in the 19 forties and are being used to keep wages, benefits and retirement benefits down. That means the probe act that will take legislation. We have to replace the old cast. Hartley Act with a new act that is modern and up to date and well, actually protect and advance the rights of workers not be used to suppress them. We don't want to turn to Marty Walsh s somebody that you said you think is going to do a very good job. Isa, Secretary of Labor and a peace out I found fascinating and, well, we're just today by Julia back Saying that he may have. The answer was called the she session. I mean, it's interesting fact I had missed. I think that employers cut 140,000 jobs in December, and women accounted for 156,000 of them. That is the same. More than all those job losses were women and particularly Black Latino women. What do you expect out of department They were going forward, specifically addressing this issue of the loss of women's jobs, and particularly for black and Latinos. Well, Marty's done a great job as mayor. I've been in Boston, but Marty understands the importance of everything helping safety and power for workers. He also has committed Committed completely to helping the people that have been suppressed and hurt. The most. This pandemic is shown the real weaknesses, a shortcoming gin in our economy. People of color have gotten hurt more They've gotten infected more. They've died more. They've lost more jobs and their wages and benefits have been more effective. We have to correct that as a society. Marti understands that process and will lead us in a in an attempt to correct all those things. Some may require some legislation, but a lot of it can be done. Simply having somebody who was talking directly on adamantly in favor of that to the people who control it in the next employers in this country. All right, Richard. I really appreciate you being with us for so long today and waiting through that press briefing was great to have you this particular day. That's Richard Trump to He's the president of the FL CEO Coming up a member of President Trump's Covert task force. Our vacation's over with. Okay. Okay, Bye. Vacation's over with. All right. Here's the thing. Joe, This is this is a little ah, in Irving to me. If Trump's antics down there in Georgia really do result in control of the U. S Senate with the Democrats. I think that's going to be a real problem for this country, and that really is a tarnish on Trump's legacy. I agree. I mean, this is, you know, I mean, if he's going to have to lose the election, that's fine. But you can't lose control of the Senate. Otherwise, then the Democrats have blank check. They can do anything They want to know. When lens mind. They're just going to go back to the old Barack Obama. Well, they're gonna be nice, right? Yeah. What do you think they're not doing crazy things they were saying that they want to do. You know, you know what? Let lend speak. You know what I'm thinking? I'm thinking they're going to get something done Because Trump had the house in the Senate for two years. He couldn't even get health. They still don't have a plan The Republicans still owed at a health care plan after voting down Obama for 27 times and and and having the Senate in the House for two years, and they still haven't come up with the health care plan released At least the Democrats will come up with something unlike your pals. Well, what if they got to come up with Len? What are they gonna get up with? Come up with packing the Supreme Court. A green new deal raising your taxes. That's what they're going to come up with. That's what they that's. You know, That's just silliness. You're going to say that four years from now or God forbid, four months from now you're gonna you're gonna be saying over and over the socialist they're gonna raise gonna say the same little speech. You got to come up with new material. Michael is 2021 car with something new. Lend Lend you tell me. What do you think our Biden's priorities If he gets the Senate? What is he going to do? Give me a concrete proposal legislative proposal that Biden will do. That's not going to be left wing. What's he gonna do infrastructure or taxes? Infrastructure rupture. He's gonna do some new green new. Don't care Infrastructure will be agree. Stop with the green new deal. You know, care for all that Z. What do you think His health care proposals are gonna be wearing me? How's he gonna pay for all these things line? That's the question. How's he gonna pay? For what things? Well, you know, both sides are gonna listen. What Trump do he just raised the deficit? I mean, that's all he did. The Republicans who are so deficit conscious, they just raised the deficit. The trillions of choice of dollars, lowest unemployment rate in pretty much the history of the country under Trump under the highest deficit ever. So you know, if you rob Peter to pay Paul, I get the deficit is there because we had to print money to skip people through the coronavirus command later? Just making those sense. How about rich and matter? Ville? A rich? What do you want to stay here? You doing? Hey, I just wanna thank you guys old every morning. I listened to you guys. Along with you, Michael Roesch. Uh, e think, Michael. Um Trump making that that talk tol the other George the other day. I think what he's trying to give the guy a way out Torto because Trump already has the evidence. And I think he's just given the guy a way out. Tolo redeem himself by Letting them um all these all these ballots. Well, rich. I do think if Trump's got the evidence, he's gotta start showing a pretty soon because yeah, drinking on the electoral college to wait for God to see that evidence. Pretty soon. I think red shoes when I was six. Anywhere. 60 showed it all okay? Well, he does have a sense of the dramatic so maybe with a flourish, he'll find those 11,000 votes. Who knows? Who knows what happened that we thank you for listening? We do. Thanks for one. Seriously. I just I don't understand. You know, I don't. Don't you understand? What do you What do you think Biden is going to do? I mean, you just fundamentally don't believe that the country will go to the left. If the Democrats get the Senate. You think it's just gonna be moderate middle of the road? They're not going to raise taxes. Not going to push the green new deal. Not gonna expand Medicare for all, they're not going to do these things that I gotta pack the Supreme Court. What is buying just going to sit there and think. Well, I guess I'll try to walk the dog this morning. That will be the big days of us. Hilarious, Michael, You know, it's just It's just I can't believe you're not an abortion belt doing stand up. I mean, that's just hilarious. But you know what would have you bottle Have you noticed? Little won't answer the question. He won't. I will. If you let me talk. I already said infrastructure. I think he probably obviously healthcare is on the agenda. Obviously, climate change. We re entering the Paris deal. Visiting Iran. You know, Iran now is like 20% of whatever they're doing with their, uh With their Richman uranium enrichment right, which which goes against the 2015 accord, So maybe I'll try toe get the 2015 accord back into into place. Maybe we'll rejoin the World Health organization that capacity. Well, I'm just saying game changers. Oh, God, You two are ridiculous. It's.

You Need a Budget
The Rule Three Escape Hatch
"Name is Jesse this podcast number four, hundred, forty for wine Aber. We teach you folks to help you stop it from paycheck to paycheck, get debt and save more money I. Got a question from. Let me double check the name I. Think it was Yep. Elizabeth I. Got a question from Elizabeth. She wrote in to podcast that you need to budget dot com. com. If you have a question that you would like the answer on the podcast, I might start doing some kind of a deal where you can ask any question and I'll give you an answer if the questions dumb, not GonNa answer it. But email me podcast at union about Dot Com any question you have and I'll try and answer all questions provided they're not done. On the. Okay. So Elizabeth acid killer question she said, is there a time when you're using rule three too much? Yes. Yes. There is. Here's when you're using it too much if you aren't hitting your other goals. That's it. So if you have a goal to pay off debt and you're not paying it off as fast as you think you should. And that's after getting to know your budget and your situation a little bit. That's not after looking on Instagram to see you know record-setters for debt payoff But when you know your situation, you just have this feeling like I. Think I should be doing this faster Yeah. You're probably using real threes an escape hatch. If you are not, if you keep having to raid rule to funds, that's true expenses and you actually have one pop and you weren't ready with the money and you had to rule three for that and you're robbing Peter to pay, Paul, you're probably using real three as an escape hatch. Scarcity is valuable and you're answering your scarcity issue and what I say scarcity meaning. You've run out of money, you're at zero. Zero. Based budget. If you give the air, you can't give to be. If, you're doing that. And you're just kind of bypassing scarcity by saying. Well, I. Did a little bit more money here in the squishy category. So I pulled from this other category where I won't need the money in total for four months and then you know next three months all kind of catch up what I've taken, and if you're just doing that again and again, and again, then we have a problem, you're not embracing scarcity and when you embrace it, it means you get really really comfortable with. Saying no to a purchase, and this is from the guy that doesn't like telling people because you know we're a budgeting. Company, we tell people a budget is about you just buying the things you want. Now, if you get really honest about what you truly want a lot of the time, the spending in total drops, but there are times. There are times where you have your rule to funds. These non-negotiable. We're GONNA save up for this vacation, this Christmas, this property tax bill, this life insurance bill funds, stuff. Not Fun stuff. We're GONNA. Save for car repairs on new car. We're never by money for a car again, you're doing that and you're also paying down debt and Putting money aside for retirement, you're hidden all these big financial goals. Then when you are presented with the question of, Hey, do you WANNA go out provided? You can or Hey, do you WanNa go you? WanNa buy this thing opportunity to spend money and it's not in the budget. You don't read the new car fund even though you won't buy that car for five years. You don't you don't. You don't have the money. Get, comfortable with. that. Rule three is our ability to change our plan when new information comes and I often say, I'm guilty of Sane Change your mind whenever you want. Well Change your mind when you get good information, don't change your mind whenever you are stress. So you want to spend your way out of it and it's totally. And you've been there before, and here we are again, that's not a real situation. Rule three is you've made the best game plan you can make. You realize you have to make tweak, 'cause new information comes, and now you have the next best game. Plan. It's not. I. Have a game plan and then my buddy invites me to go sushi. I, always use Sushi. Okay. My buddy invites me to go to Sushi. Throw out my game plan? No, no, no. No, it was a good game plan. It worked. You had it all set up. Nicely. Let's not just pretend that everything carries the same amount of weight as it relates to rule three. So. If you start to think through your categories as like must have never touch K. I know we have something on Youtube about that I. Think from Man. If. You have something around like this is the squishy stuff. If you WANNA rule, three change things around between your restaurant category, and you're eating out with friends category. You see what I did there. Yeah. Do do it all you want if you want to do it between clothing for you or clothing for one of your kids. Sure. Yeah. Just you don't give the new clothes for a while. That's fine. But you don't WanNa be saying, Hey, I'm thinking about future you Jesse and I've got this car around funding that old. But then on when my buddy said, you want to go on this short little weekend trips. I'm going to take from the the new car
