"You go through the laundry list of guys and what they're making and what they've achieved. And it's harder. Again, it's not impossible. It's not possible, but let's see what happens to the Bengals when Joe burrow gets his new deal. Josh Allen's another one, obviously he has signed a new deal. And it's like people want to point out all the things that bills are missing. Why do you think the bills are missing some of these deals? Because something has to go. There's one pie of money. And when a big chunk of the pie is taken up to one player in the quarterback, that guy has to be great to carry you because you got to hide something you don't have. It doesn't mean it's impossible. It just means that you have to navigate it. And the truth about the Lamar deal is this deal would have been done if you had an agent. Instead, why did you why are you going with that agent? What's the point of it? What's a win here? You keep a percent that you would have given up. A good agent would have had, first of all, the narrative would be different because they'd be leaking information. To all these insiders. And then the deal would have been done because though it wouldn't have been 250 million and guarantees. The guarantees would have been in line with above everybody else because there's other contracts have been signed after Desean Watson, right? So it would have been in line with more than what Kyler made more than everybody else. And then you'd have built in bonuses that ultimately you would likely make barring some sort of catastrophic injury. Again, I don't know how many people know that Artie Marino's like, nah, not selling. I'm sticking this thing out. But Shohei Ohtani, who's are you okay with me saying he's the best player in sport? Yeah, because not that I would probably say if I was starting a team, you would take him. So yeah, it's hard to give up a guy who pitches and can hit for power. But he's also an elite pitcher in an elite hitter, right? My dad be the best pitcher, although there were times. He's not the best pitcher. Okay, but he's in any conversation of one of the best pitchers in baseball. And he's in the conversation of being the one of the best hitters in baseball and he does both and no one's done that since Babe Ruth. So best player in the sport. If you ask guys in the sport, most people will say that. Yeah, but it wasn't shocking that he didn't win the MVP. Everybody thought he would win the MVP again. No, he shouldn't have. Aaron George clearly should have been the American League MVP. He played in meaningless games after May. And Doug, it does matter. Winning should matter. What games you play in? If you're on a bad team, I would actually, I would actually tell you, I think I actually think it's harder to want to do your job well when your season is over, midway through. Like what is the outside of ultimately getting paid, which is ultimately going to get paid. In many ways, it's harder to and like, look, the Yankees, they got all star roster. It's like the Dodgers. It's a really hard thing. But the bigger thing is, there is no more value than a guy who's a top ten pitcher in a top ten hitter. Well, he wasn't having a great last year. He should have won the east. Last year. No, he should have. And clearly, best player in the sport and he had a great year. Okay, and the writers clearly, I gave the writers credit because they did take into account what Aaron judge meant to the Yankees. If it wasn't for him, they wouldn't have been in first place. In the league with the average batting average was about two 44. He had over 300 62 home runs yet meaningful big hits all year long. He was clearly the most valuable player. That doesn't mean Otani was a bomb, or he's not a good player.

Running more than their plan was going into. This season could be good on the field but obviously opens you up to more hits. Put you more harms way. So a lot of questions to be at least explored to now. Won't they answered is only week one right. You can't answer too many questions that we won but certainly a lot of injury in this rap. Yeah i just don't know how to read this. The ravens have been unbelievable on opening night. The last three years winning by thirty or more points in their opener. I mean you would think people are loading up on the ravens. I mean like like but you know how skoda doesn't always add up right and it dries up eventually..

They make the playoffs. And we only got four. So we're need your wildcard picks for the afc. Starting with you. chris broussard baltimore. Ravens indianapolis colts and in a si- in a shocker to some the new england patriots yes mag jones. why into the playoffs. Rob parker great. Let's see parker. I'm willing to say the browns. The titans and raiders. Wow that's right. Why are your nose. Milwaukee jon gruden. The going there is that they have to win issue. This is big for jon gruden. And they've started well and not have been able to finish the job. I'm going to pick the raiders to make the alabama pick so the only difference. You guys have in the play. So i got san francisco and seattle joining the rams in the playoffs for ned division and then new orleans i say i think james winstons shock some people and have a very good year and so i got their new orleans is eight and one in the last two years without drew brees so people are sleeping on him. I think they're gonna be woke awoken in violent fashion. I think this is the year that seattle falls off from not picking them to make the playoffs. I'm going to go with the rams based on their defense. I'm going to put them in the playoffs. I'm gonna go with the box hard to repeat but they're good enough to make the playoffs and what on the one more right one more wild card team hip. I'm going to pick the minnesota vikings. Now that's a good pick. I think they're gonna be. They got a shot. I don't know what last year they were. Awful every game like they were supposed to win. You know they just couldn't do it. And and it's all about defense with the vikings and they were just god awful a year ago defensively. i don't know where they ranked again. We only well. I think that having the best quarterback is usually a good signed for any team. If you're in a division where there's no clear and obvious favourite me has the better defense though. I just think that he'll work for awhile with that. But that weren't good. yeah week. Four tyler hickey. Taylor will actually have both of those teams in the playoffs. They remind me their mindset reminds me of san antonio after they lost that championship to miami in two thousand thirteen in the nba finals and came back with a vengeance. And i believe kansas city wants tampa bay. And they'll get him and this time. The chiefs will prevail. I got kansas city over tampa bay in a rematch. If kansas city doesn't win does that change anything with mahomes if they don't get to the super bowl or don't win as far as what him being Michael jordan no. I mean he's not michael jordan yet but he's still got plenty of time so i'm just sorting didn't win it every year win it. Every did definitely won't win at every. Nfl teams be so hard to get back and repeat. There will be to the same team from a year just very hard to do the nfl too. Many things happen. I'm going to go with the ravens and the packers and the super bowl. That's my pick with aaron rodgers winning a super bowl on his way out of green bay and that'll be the way he puts a bow on that and moves forward and then he's free to go wherever you want. So that's going to be the big story line. And lamar gets out of the afc. Finally so there it is. I'm going off the board the packers and raven way off the board big. What Would the 12-Team College Football Playoff Landscape Look Like
"I rob we talked a few. I get it now. I think it was a few months ago at this point about the playoff expansion in college football and at that time it really seemed like the twelve team playoffs was was coming and they have momentum in you know everybody seem or most people seem like they were for at least the people on the committee and it seemed like that was going to be the next phase of college football and now it is being put on hold and very much in jeopardy and as much as i'm for and you know this. I'm for the playoff expansion for the twelve team playoff. But i understand why it's a whole and that's because oklahoma and texas are about to leave the big twelve suit and it. Looks like the sec. Are they creating some type of super conference. And then will you know the pac twelve and the big ten like some of these other big conferences. That are left out. I mean rob. There are people that think we could end up with two. Maybe three super conferences like a almost like a. You know the first division is. maybe. I don't know forty fifty teams because let's face it that's really what it is anyway. Well but forty fifty teams at the top level. Almost like the nfl. So i think with autism. Flux i don't think you can is the to twelve at this point you gotta see the conference play out. I in my opinion. I also think there's distrust amongst these guys like trying to get out because of what's happened chris. Like people sneaking out of their conference in the middle of the night right leaving the other the other ones in the learning tracks in in in effect you know like like like some of them of affected. The tv contracts right out of schools pulled out and then that gives a clause to espn. Or fox's say wait a minute no no no. We didn't sign up for this without these teams. So you know what i mean like. We got a problem and we're good avoid. I mean it is just. It's been insane this past off season. I would college football and where it's headed chris. And you're right. I mean it's going to be the haves and the have not it's a flat out money. Grab by college

Ben simmons anthony edwards go on and on download a lot of marquee clients but one of his clients at one point was nerlens. Noel and nerlens left his agent neuro. Well left his agent to become a part of the clutch family if you will but after. He left clutch after he left for clutch. They basically didn't really help them get very much of a contract and he ended up losing. He passed on a four year. Seventy million dollar deal because rich paul. At i convinced him that he could get more and then basically didn't do didn't didn't get him much of anything and so. He is now suing rich. Paul for all of the losses with his money.

One time with mandy with mandy setback his jab he puts combinations together he bought and yelp punched manny and and finish logic exchanges man. I didn't expect per. I'd expect even half of what i said the other day. See i've and you're right. You guys look great. But i'm i'm i mean manny's forty two and you know better than me in this game. Hit you at any point. How much did it look like man. He's just i mean. Come on these forty two is gonna leave you at some point and it just seemed like he just didn't have it. Wasn't this same mandy packet out. "For golden state. Here's here's the other thing is interesting too hard and said this and i i am a big james harden fan like i think. He's one of the rare players in nba history who has been in the league scorer all time elite. Not not his current day or his generation elite. All time leads score at all time elite playmaker like he's a legitimate point guard. I've talked to him about it. He was like man. I was doing this. I was had linda rock running the offense in high school and he did like. He's got those schools. But the one thing i have to admit about harden is. He's been shaky at times not all the time but at half the time probably in the clutch in the big moments. There's just no ifs of buts about it. And rob g game seven and i know he got a big time pass because of a hamstring injury. And that's legitimate. He should get somewhat of a pass. But game seven against milwaukee. He totally lost all his swag at the end of the game. It was a totally different guy that we saw the quarters went through three. Yep 'cause people he rob he finished with twenty two points nine assists and nine rebounds like almost had a big time triple double so during the game. He played fine but late moments. When it really was down to. Who's gonna win this game. He was acting like joe harris bruce brown and the rest of those role players given indicate the and going on the side and watching k. Teams you're talking about Buddy in in in dallas being the best player in in In the play offs buddy and denver being the best player in in the playoffs. And even the mvp of the league and no one is mentioned and used lebron's name as best player in in the playoffs. I mean is that is that. Is that damning towards towards lebron. I mean michael. Jordan was in the play offs at any point in his career. Would you say that there was a better player in the playoffs at any point in time even when he was losing and the first second round. We have said there. Was anyone better than michael. Jordan nuke man jordan was he. When you would watch the bulls play he would never miss a shot. People don't like you know it. Never like he missed obviously but it seemed like he never met. You know what the craziest thing about the the michael jordan. Lebron james debates is that the a lot of people never saw michael jordan play like an real live games like real games. You hear all sorts of crazy stuff but there was a report out a lengthy report from the athletic earlier today which which which interviewed a bunch of anonymous gm's and coaches and stuff like that and so it said in this athletic report. You told me that justin field was going to be better than trevor lawrence and five years. I would say yes that could happen. That was an anonymous. Gm told that to the athletic. And so i thought that quote was kind of interesting in the context of what happened earlier this week with trevor lawrence. I know you and chris touched on it briefly but for the audience. That hasn't fully heard the quotes. I'll read it really quick robin than i want your response but trevor lawrence of course the presumptive number pick. Since the beginning of time no one has ever debated his place as the best player in this draft. He sat down for a pretty lengthy interview with sports illustrated and he said a few different things where he said. It's hard to explain that. Because i want people to know that i'm passionate about what i do and it's really important to me but i don't have the huge chip on my shoulder that everyone's out to get me and i'm trying to prove everybody wrong. I just don't have that. I can't manufacture that. I don't want to and i think that people mistake debt for not being competitive. I think that's unhealthy to certain extent.
