"App I know our next guest poster only certainly missing baseball he joins us now on the shell Pennzoil performance line buster it's always a pleasure to catch up with you my friend so I mean here we are June thirteenth where do things stand between the owners and the players and is there any optimism that in this coming week we can get some solutions here boy I think you're going to get a resolution I don't know if you're going to get any collaboration or cooperation to really needed as they go forward but you know Major League Baseball with that offer that it that is for the player search yesterday which again was leaked to the media before actually reach the players you know they put a deadline on it on Sunday you know there's not an expectation that the players are going to accept that and then at that point you know folks in the industry wondering if rob Manfred is going to implement a shorter type season I guess it would be something in the range of you know sixty five seventy games may be you know full pro rated salary but here's the thing if rob Graham the throat if Major League Baseball rams the a system down the throats of the players you might as well cue the circus music because I can't even imagine the difficulty of getting the players they do agree to a you know a health and safety protocol but on top of that all the passive aggressive responses in the Ferris Bueller ring and you know players opting out in it it would turn into an absolute disaster I believe based on my conversations with people on the players side buster with this back and forth in these different options has been thrown out there by the players and the owners is there a deal that you heard initially that you thought this would be great for both sides look I I I think that there be no yeah I can see here from my perspective it and look at a middle ground and wonder you know why couldn't they agree on something with eighty two games while having the players parlay some of their salary concerns for this year in the building some sort of mechanism into the future you know trade some salary of this year for propping up free agency in the fall for dealing with service time manipulation for dealing with tanking I wrote a piece in early may saying that you know the players had the leverage of the moment why not build a bridge into the future but we've got absolutely no indication that the two sides are really ready to come off they're gonna respective stances and and it's interesting getting you guys saw the intercontinental that was put out yesterday where Andrew was comparing what the owners promised to to juice and the interesting thing about that is you know the players clearly believe that they were promised full pro rated salaries regardless whether or not they were fans in the stands that has been it issue for more than two months the players are saying one thing this is what was agreed to the owners are saying no this is what we actually agree to and we have documentation backing it up I've talked to people on both sides to say this is been an abject failure of the lawyers who executed that deal that it's not crystal clear what's supposed to happen and that has been the primary bottleneck bus wrong is with us on ESPN radio in the ESPN app and then the St Louis owner comes out busters you know and makes the comment just to paraphrase that you know owning a Major League Baseball team isn't as lucrative as you might think now I did not do well in econ in college I was a journalism major but I mean buster come on I mean how can the owners actually cry poor we know that this is a billion billion dollar industry here what talking about yeah the last hour news broke today got a new billion dollar deal with CBS yeah bill the way it courting to public records paid a hundred fifty million for the cardinals and it probably that franchises were something a range of a million and a half a billion and a half to two billion dollars George Steinbrenner out of his pocket paid seven hundred thousand dollars as his share for the Yankees is now probably that franchise worth three to four billion dollars I think the owners are doing okay look a few weeks ago we were critical of Blake Snell for for what he said and as we've heard from owners in recent weeks Tom reckons that the cubs and Kendrick at the Diamondbacks build the wet I just keep shaking my head like nobody seems to get it on either side you're not going to convince anybody and everything in the current context forty million people out of jobs so many lives lost everything that's happened since Jordan Floyd was killed I cannot believe they keep talking but they do buster Jeff and I both love the game so much but we also really enjoyed minor league baseball but we saw the draft this week and I we both are in agreement that the the draft is too short we we like the long draft picks of what's so based on their how short the draft is what's the future of minor league baseball well look last fall we got the first word that Major League Baseball and this was a an effort led by you know the ousted general manager the Astor Jeff Luhnow was looking to reduce the number of minor league affiliates from a hundred and sixty to two hundred and twenty additionally it thought minor league baseball might get some traction with politicians but then the corona virus hit that one away I've been surprised that they haven't officially canceled the minor league season for this year I could tell you that the people within the game fully expect that they're going to be dramatic roll backs on the number of minor league affiliates and think about this you know I'd ask around the team officials how much money did this each team say by read it you know at limiting an affiliate and when I got back was seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars to one point five million that's the range which is about what your cold gonna make every time he starts whenever they get back to playing baseball and yet again penny wise pound foolish it it it it's mind boggling but that's what's been going on with the minor league situation and that's what's been going on with the negotiations and we're talking about what you say about a million dollars per team by not having a ten round draft instead of a five round draft rise let you go buster with the draft I mean it is our hope that in the future it will go back up to forty rounds thirty rounds or something off this ridiculous five round number what courses CBA set to expire in December two thousand twenty one I do think that whenever you know they settle on terms of the the draft will be reduced maybe not as draconian down to five rounds or ten rounds but I think it's going to be significantly reduces teams look for more ways to be efficient that's that that's a big word that's been kicked around and it's what's holding up these negotiations you know the house is burning the baseball houses burning in and the two sides are fighting over who's supposed to grab the hose buster thank you so much to keep up the great work by a and we'll talk soon okay okay guys thanks Rashmi buster only ESPN MLB insider with us on the shell Pennzoil performance line gives our draft back to forty rounds it's unbelievable there are there are cities their listing to our show in this country that may not go to Major League Baseball games a lot but they do go to a minor league affiliate in their in their home town or in the area and for a day I think that minor league baseball team and we will be dying just based on the lack of rounds it will have the draft.

"Years which are twenty year wedding of yes we can we get. It still happens in today's Society. We're in a stable happy relationship. We got Maui. June five th two thousand which were GONNA go back to Hawaii on June fifth to celebrate but because of this virus. We can't go so we have to celebrate another way but she actually did a really cool experience experiment and she wrote a book on it. It's on itunes. And basically it's based on positive psychology and I invite all the listeners to go to her Incident page called positively site And she's all about finding her way home and that's what she really wants people to know that we have the power to be happy in. She basically what she did was go through the alphabet. Abc's and identify words that have been scientifically proven to optimize your wellbeing in and make you north of neutral which is one of the one of the pillars of positive psychology positive psychology. The scientists of human and community. Well being in what makes communities will end people in communities thrive and it's really a powerful tool that uses in her health coaching practice. Because we all think we want to be happy but most of us in fact just Blah and think know going north so that neutral is really important particularly now because something else often mess mentioned is that there's always a blessing to mess and I think this back to your point. Colin is that even during these tough times we have to find the blessed in this fast because that that is ultimately. What's GonNa get us through this so I think that's something I wanted to bring up because We often want the promotion. But you know what really makes us happy as the people that we surround ourselves with And for those who are unfortunately Rather than themselves with very toxic people which I see is happening as well. Domestic violence is increasing child unseen that China Shit going on and I think you know I pray for those people that we get through this because ultimately that is a reality that we don't want to talk about right now because we are confined into our homes and sometimes our homes are not say spot like like the blessing of being raised in a very happy healthy home life. Both of us But many people don't have that home life. Yeah yeah definitely. I had a good friend of mine. she works as a special. Ed Teacher and when the school was started to close down She actually started to worry because she knew of a lot of kids. You Know School is actually there haven. As opposed to being at home you know not all of us were fortunate enough to be raised by you know. Good intentions parents and some of them are alcoholics. Some of them were drug addicts. You know and if you can imagine Not being in school where they have a decent meal or certain resources counselors and going back to the environment. So it's You know it's it's an unfortunate event that we're facing and I think globally we are needing to reshift and reframe how we look at different things and you know this has definitely all of our lives. And I'm hoping you know in a more positive sense in gives us an opportunity to reflect and kind of look at what we've been doing and you know kind of see. What is it that we could improve on not just for ourselves but also for our fellow man? Our fellow neighbor are far alone. You know friend and family member because at the end of the day we may look different on the outside but were all the freaking the same on the inside and guess what we all live on the same planet. So you know. Climate Change has also been a hot topic. I'm not going to get into that. But we have to do our part to help each other out and help you know the environment that we live on as well so totally totally you gotta be. Weakened partout out out of ice could be related to climate change. I took this class when I was getting my. Mba call the impact of climate change on human health and again that was back in two thousand and three when now who's called global warming and everybody thought that Gore was quacked. It's again thinking about you. Know Vector Diseases. You know that Transmitters who've actors in we're having climate issue has a huge impact in again to has a major role in what's happening in today's society with Time is somewhat but I wanted to mention the fact that Ns the exercise in sleep because oftentimes we think about going to equal ops in going to the fitness gym and going onto what I call the treadmill swear master but oftentimes. It's going back to the old school. Guess what I've been doing. Dips pushups jumping. Jacks you know your basics. No it's basics I tell. My patients push ups pull ups right. Squats lunges like basic skills. Basic workouts goes that work multiple body parts. And it's simple. You don't need a gym dumbbells or even bands. I mean like sure. Those are Nice. But using your own body resistance. And you know it's important to be functional. It's important to continue to move because the expression that expression is correct. It's like if you don't move you lose it. You know what I'm saying. So we have to keep moving. We have to keep thriving You know I want to thank you for coming onto the show. Rob Tell the audience where they can find your where they can look you up and what you're doing right now. I WANNA FINISH S. If you don't take naps now's the perfect time to take a nap. "Gained they do a great job. And now back to Steve coming to you at the speed of law on the hacker news. I just liked the, the image that they had created. They had the windows logo, and with the word blue keep, and then underneath it powering one million computers. That's the estimate of the number of computers that are vulnerable to blue. Keep a million a million. Yes. Remember that last week and this has actually we're going to talk about this right now. Because Microsoft posted a on last Thursday posted a blog posting sort of with, like an update reminder about this problem. Now, I don't think I've been explicit in saying that unfortunately, reminding people isn't going to be effective, because anybody who is like, in the loop anybody who is conscience conscious understands about this problem, and if they're aware that they have a problem, they will affixed by now. So I don't get what like everyone running around telling, you know, warning people about this does. I mean, maybe. Marginally it's useful. But, but, you know, all indications are, that we have it was rob Graham, Robert Graham at Iraq security, who did a full scan of the internet. Then it from all of the three three eight nine which is the default RDP port. He then analyze the protocol, figured out, which of those were true remote desktop protocol services that were exposed, and then probe them in a presumably benign way to determine which of those were vulnerable to this problem and from that he obtained nine hundred the IP addresses of nine hundred and fifty thousand current presently vulnerable windows machines that actually have RDP exposed that have not been updated that require. No authen. -cation in order to get on and get in. So, so again, you know, man, this is a that that was already two weeks after the dire warnings and the updates were made available and nobody seems to be taking action again because I don't think anybody is listening. Whoever is in behind those million machines. They're asleep at the switch. So last Thursday, Microsoft, titled their blog post a reminder to update your systems to prevent a worm, and I'll in a minute, I'm going to explain why. I don't think that's the problem that we're going to have. But they said on may fourteenth Microsoft released fixes for a critical remote code execution. Vulnerability CV, e twenty nineteen o seven eight in remote desktop services, formerly known as terminal services that affects some older versions of windows. In our previous blog post on this topic we warned that the vulnerability is warm -able, and that future malware that exploits his vulnerability could propagate from vulnerable computer to vulnerable computer in a similar way as the wannacry mal wear spread across the globe in two thousand seventeen and again, Alex by why don't think that's going to happen. But they said, Microsoft is confident that an exploit exists yet, duh for this vulnerability, and if recent reports are accurate, nearly this is Microsoft, nearly one million connected directly to the internet. I'm sorry, nearly one million computers. Connected directly to the internet are still vulnerable to CV twenty nineteen hundred seven eight many more within and this is the point you may last week. Leo, many more within corporate networks may also be vulnerable. It only takes. One vulnerable computer connected to the internet to provide a potential gateway into these corporate networks, where advanced malware could spread infecting computers across the enterprise, this scenario could be even worse for those who have not kept their internal systems updated with the latest fixes as any future malware may also attempt further exploitation of owner abilities that have already been fixed. It's been only two weeks since the fixed was released, and there has been no sign this is Microsoft, still, no sign of a worm yet. This does not mean that we're out of the woods, actually..

"Yet eagles play outdoors ochre eagles have their starting quarterback no word you talked about the best team in football you tarp our cultures in football uh as doug peterson proven anything has a head coach yet we'll so powersharing have but anyway uh i i think the eager to win out so uh minnesota was going to have greater philadelphia and couldn't be they're not going to beat them in philadelphia well okay frank look back and forth here do you think that anybody fears going in the plane lincoln financial field by everywhere wherever com vinya so on that it will one day to align both tonight i know the pat i know else another title we've package to curb attacker curtis truckers your but uh our grabbed or super bowl dome speaker this could pick the weather outlook situation uh are are truly do think the eagles rogge the best peering football right now but you mentioned patriot luck i'm telling you guys at the end of it all and i'm not a fan of of brady or go a check to remember die hard bronco fat otherwise there will be a fan of those two guys uh i i think picture luck and brady and bill a check our our our win in the super bowl again this year i just think it's in the stars in the cards fight if they help us all frank if that goes down elp a soul the when he will more duck parade with rob graham caskey smash hit a natty light against his forehead like his incredible hulk it a friend party that's an image we need cheese vinnie in philly vinnie you're on cbs sports radio so i wanted to uh talk about it seems like you're really snubbing net false and he calls secret think about that sentence should just uttered nick falls in eagles i'm snubbing nick falls and eagles okay creek i'll let you make your point right serve at quarterback that in 2013 eagles fans watched him for over twenty seven touchdowns to two interceptions and they watched him come in.

"Peter king is gonna join us momentarily see does uh every week at this time latest peace on the ub is injuries in the nfl and i don't know if there's more of them if they're higher profile um if there's just more coverage of them but carson went obvious the latest aaron rogers a lot of quarterbacks run out i think it's seven quarterbacks rub to obviously richard sherman bunch of different guys all year long so it could be a combination of things i guess uh whether it be coverage whether be that's reality or is it just every single year this happens it seems like every year we have this conversation about injuries they're doing everything they can to make it safer they've limited kickoff they've done all these things no headshots eccentric cetera down the line they are talking about something about um maybe adopting the college rules about targeting those kind of things i don't know if they'll do those kind of things but then yet flies in the face when you see michael bennett a rob graham cows in these kind of things as well but a good piece up that i do a speech was checking out on the mtv at a your question i don't know i dunno if a weird way not being able to hidden preseason as i i dunno the violence or two minutes it is it's like sprained an ankle baz while right and that's that's part of blame baz wipe out going to come down on someone's ankle football it's not the ankles it's you know violent collisions and part of the sport and those things are going to those things are going to happen there is going to happen mathematics will tell you those things are going to happen to a certain number of people every single year uh i don't know how to make it feel better uh and again you hey when guys get hurt or in the offseason because they're hitting and guys don't hit any more because of concussions they don't want to give you a juice no we're not gonna let you hit but i think you don't know how to hit you don't know how to take a hit as much as may be used to because you're used to do in that 'cause you did it a lot during a during camp i dunno i dunno to dig a vanilla liberty perfect uh in all way you look a winces injury is a flukey thing in.

"To go home and you'll be able to watch a bunch of film on guys who might be able to be the dudes to come in and help whether it's via free agency whether it's via trade and bilbao just going to be able to process that information so that when they get it on monday morning they can begin the process of trying to either field teams out or they're going to bring in some free agents right away a key mayors is a guy who was traded from tennessee a couple of years ago who is the street free agent so here's some familiarity in the scheme but i'll tell you my concerned with him it's the same concerns that i have with rob nick image i'll get to that in a moment here on the grass show on wpro what monday bill belcher show walk in and they're going to say how do we fix this and the and the luxury for them is they can take a couple of days early next week give the players some extend the time off and take the time to do what they need to do to try to address s what is now a in this roster let's be perfectly clear about this normally i look at it and say well bill bellichik coach around it and i look at it and say well let's look at the schedule the rest of the way and it does favor the patriots in terms of the amount of offense of firepower they're gonna go against what if our thought process at the beginning of the year was bare minimum afc championship game if not getting back to the super bowl this is a massive hole in your roster in trying to get to the super bowl and let's remember last year they were able to a win it without rob graham cal ski being a part of that playoff we're on a plane in the super bowl and now you're going to have to play nine football games and you're going to have to point your playoff run without dont'a hightower and lest we forget into super bowls the plays the dont'a hightower made both against seattle in atlanta for the patriots to be able to get the win.
