"To surrender? Are we going to fight back? I know what I'm going to do. I'm fighting back. I'm fighting back against that. Governor huckel defeated jumani Williams who got 19% and Tom swazi with 13%. Lee zeldin won the GOP primary for governor with 44% of the vote. Are we ready to fire Kathy hochul? Lee zeldin beat Andrew Giuliani, the son of former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, who got 23%. Rob astorino got 18% in Harry Wilson received 15%. In New York, I'm Michael Barr Bloomberg daybreak, Karen, Nathan. All right, Michael, thank you all some other key primary results of no the Republicans in Colorado rejected two candidates to line with former president Trump, Tina Peters lost a Pam Anderson for a Secretary of State, Henderson had 43% of the vote, Ron Hanks lost a Senate nomination to John O'Day, who has often acknowledged that President Biden won the 2020 election, O'Day had 54% of votes. In the meantime, Karen two hardline conservatives came out winners last night, Lauren boebert got 65% of the vote in Colorado's third congressional district. She campaigned on the right to bear arms and disagrees with separation of church and state in Illinois, Republican Mary Miller won her house seat primary with 57% of the vote. Miller called the Supreme Court's decision on abortion quote a historic victory for white life, her spokeswoman says she misspoke. Well, Nathan, we turn now to the nation's capital where a former White House aide is given the most dramatic testimony yet to the January 6th House committee. Cassidy Hutchinson is a former assistant to then White House chief of staff Mark Meadows. She says the former president knew armed people were at his rally. He also demanded Secret Service remove metal detectors or mags to let them in. I think that is why they're not here to hurt me, let them in, let my people in. They can mark the capital after the rallies over. They can march from, they can march from the ellipse. And Cassidy Hutchinson says former president Trump wanted to go to the capitol with a demonstrators ahead of his Secret Service detail Robert engel told him it wasn't safe. That's when Hutchinson says the president lashed out from inside his limo. The president reached up towards the front of the vehicle to grab at the steering wheel. Mister engel grabbed his arm, said, sir, you need to take your hand off the steering wheel. Now doubt is being cast on that account from Cassidy Hutchinson in a truth social post, former president Trump said it did not happen in several former aides said it's unlikely he could have reached the steering wheel from the back seat. We have a major political development overseas this morning Karen Finland and Sweden have taken a major step on their way to NATO membership. Let's get more from Bloomberg's Maria tadeo who's covering the NATO meeting in Madrid. It is a huge deal. I don't want to of course, as you know yesterday said he would agree to this new membership for Sweden and Finland. So we are going to get 32 members from the 30 member alliance by the end of the summit and by the way, this should be very easy because a lot of the systems that they use already. Our NATO compatible. Bloomberg's Maria today are reporting from Madrid, says the membership process will still take many months, including ratification from NATO allies parliaments. Well, we turn now to the markets, Nathan, where futures here in the U.S. are lower. This follows yesterday shell off, which saw all three major indexes tumble on renewed worries about economic growth. The hardest hit was the NASDAQ following 3%. The S&P 500 dropped 2%. We're looking for something that makes us feel better about the world. And I think right now we talk about it. It's very kind of simplistic, but don't fight the fed and the fed is hawkish. And G squared private wealth's Victoria green notes the latest economic reading spark yesterday, sell off a gauge of U.S. consumer confidence fell to its lowest level in more than a year. Bloomberg's francine clockwise there and filed this report. Today, day two, the focus shifts to the broader economy, participants, including fed governors will discuss the global supply chain pressures, international trade, and inflation. "Their new tools are accessory dwelling units a to use which can be apartments or garages and stand-alone dwellings Large multi-family transit oriented developments and surrounding train stations and bus depots The efforts are being fueled by housing activists and progressive think tanks like the brookings institute Which declared in a January 2022 article quote by some measures the suburban counties around New York City have some of the worst exclusionary zoning in the nation To understand the hostility to suburbs some background is useful The initial strategy was to usurp local control through litigation brought by hud It had limited success because to eviscerate local control had had to prove racial discrimination Which by the 80s and 90s had been largely eradicated Saha tried other tactics in 2900 and a housing activist forced New York's Westchester county into a settlement to build 750 units of affordable housing due to the county sloppy reporting of its federal housing grants The hunt then hud tried to use the settlement as a wedge to expand agreement And forced Westchester to sue individual municipalities to change their zone Hud's efforts failed due to its lack of statutory authority due to New York's constitutional protection of local zoning Because then county executive rob astorino now running in the Republican gubernatorial primary to challenge hackle Fought to protect the municipalities

"Reed or in the morning. 7 10 W. O R. I saw this headline and said, Okay, we gotta get this guy on the show, and thankfully, he agreed to come on. John Samuelson is the head of the Transport Workers International Union and He came out yesterday and said Nope. Not supporting Governor Cuomo if he runs again, and we got to look for an alternative. So, John, we thank you for making headlines. And we thank you for joining our program. Good morning to you. Good morning. Thanks for having me. All right, John. What's the reasoning about Cuomo? And who are these alternatives You're looking at? First of all when it comes to Governor Cuomo the issue the immediate issues at the TW has directly related to the decisions that he's made relating to our workforce. At the M T. A So in the midst of all of these other scandals were focused on Cuomo's disastrous approach toward the M P a workforce beginning in a couple of years ago. So this is not an overnight decision that we made. It's been a long time coming. So, John, you have endorsed Cuomo in the past. And so you've had some dealings with him. And a lot of has emerged in the past six months about what a bully he is. Have you experienced that from him? I think certainly the tw has we've had we've brought it out like Cuomo of the contract fights over other issues. Um, he's got a bully mentality. There's absolutely no doubt about it. But certainly the union neither myself nor local 100 has been susceptible to bullying tactics from the governor. Anybody on his staff So, John, Uh you said them for two years. You've had issues with how he's handled your union members. Can you give us some examples? Yeah. So beginning about two years ago, directly in the aftermath of Transit workers and workers on the railroads Metro off the Long Island Railroad after the workforce took this system back on the edge of destruction from implosion. In terms of service, reliability and state of good repair. So immediately upon completing that task. Cuomo and his minions on the M T a board created this speculative, non sickle fake news over time witch hunt. Which produced zero tw members, um having engaged in any kind of criminality after there were allegations by not only his minions but the governor himself that there was widespread. Criminal fraud going on in the MPA system with overtime, and it turns out it was just simply not true. It was a disgusting attack, unprovoked attack on the workforce. So it began there. So John. If no one comes up and the Democratic side to challenge Cuomo, is it possible that your union would endorse someone like Lee Zeldin or Rob Astorino on the Republican side? Yeah. No, I don't think that's possible. I think that there are many qualified candidates. Democrats in New York state that really could and should step up. I don't want to get into into names. Um, as you see the governor. Hysterically accused me yesterday of being some sort of extortionists in terms of trying to advance the interests of our members. And the truth of the matter is that Cuomo and his Hench Folks are the ultimate extortionist say this is, uh, so. But this is a situation where any Democrat who doesn't have a problem with the truth and who is not a backstabber to working people would be totally qualified to step up and run. Wow. Well, I'm glad you brought that up because I'm going to read you the tweet in a second. But this is John Sanderson on the line. Tw you international president, he said he's not going to support the union is not going to support Andrew Cuomo and his, uh, bid for 1/4 term. So Cuomo's office had this tweet. My response, Samuel sent as an extortionist who's trying to undo pension reform. We also understand he is a political supporter of Tous James, and she says she may run against the governor. He wants more benefits in his contract. Everyone gets that your response. Look. My response is that there are objective problems with the way that Cuomo has mistreated the workforce at the N P A. And when we address those objective problems when, when we have to address them with criticism, the blowback is a slander attacked, whether it be Larry Schwartz rich as a party or any other any other of the W millions. It always comes down to a slanderous attack rather than a rebuttal to what we are criticizing. Point by point by the facts. John. The governor had a fundraiser the other day, and a lot of big, powerful unions. They are sticking with him. Are you guys out there on your own? Now we're not out here on our own. The the truth of the matter is that we other unions are going to have to do what they see is in the best interests of their members and in the best interests of the members of the T W New York state. Is our best interest not to support the governor. Other unions will do what they do when the results of these investigations, uh, put forth by the independent investigator hired by the attorney general. The union will begin to peel off one by one. And as I said previously, Cuomo does not have friends in the trade union movement. He has groups of workers that have short term interest in front of the governor, which require Relationship, but that's far different than a friendship. So, John, you're convinced some other Democrat may step up. Well, we're hoping, But at this point, we're hoping, um, you know, we we've in our experience, which has been extensive. Cuomo has demonstrated himself to be over the last couple of years has demonstrated himself to be a liar. Untrustworthy of dishonest broker And we're not support them. John. I want to pressure on this Who would be your ideal candidate for governor on the Democratic side? So so again, My our ideal candidate will be a Democrat who steps up and puts the interests of working people, uh, ahead of political interests or the moneyed interest in Albany in New York City. Yeah, but a specific name, John, that that's what I'm looking for. Yeah, with I hear you and I'm telling you, there's anyone of any any any of the statewide candidates are on many, many other Democrats of of of notoriety in New York state that can step up and do this job without me. Naming names. All right. John Samuelson couldn't get him out. We hear you. We appreciate your coming on T w International President. Thanks, John. Appreciate it. Thank you. Bye. Bye. Bye bye. I admire your tenacity, Michael. But he said he wasn't going to give you names, but he knows somebody that he can deal with. Don't you feel the governor's office thinks he's back in tissue, James so The governor's Yeah, but Tish James, I mean, come on. Really? I don't know. Anyway. One other note before we take a break, So we have on our Facebook page, which you pay to go see Bill Cosby in concert, and, uh, we have a ton of comments. Uh, most of the comments are no. Diane did write that she would pay to see his cremation. Lovely, lovely thought I had, and, uh then it was, uh, Karen. This is interesting, Karen wrote on Facebook only if he humbles himself and the money from the show is given to abused women. So that's not a bad coming, but most other people said Nope. Not one We don't have one. Yes. So go to our Facebook page. 7 10. W o R. What would you think? Would you pay to go see Bill Cosby in concert? Now coming up next. Well, did you hear the one about the woman duct taped to her seat on an airplane? True story, Plus, Eric Adams goes to Washington to meet with the president. "To make sure that that does not happen. All right, Rob, Let's get to the point Here. You call yourself a law and order guy. Yesterday you put out a press release calling for civil disobedience. Come on, Rob. You can't have it both ways. Civil disobedience. That's the core of America right now. Let's go back to last summer, it was civil unrest. It was actual violence and looting. And yes, marching in the street during the middle of a covid shut down in crisis where it really didn't matter, people wearing masks or not, because this was a public health crisis. Not covid but racism and yesterday or two days ago. What I called for is because you have the state Education Department on Friday and the Health Department Issue different guidance. They contradicted each other. And there was mass confusion over the weekend with schools and parents and we didn't know what to do You have the Health Department, which allegedly is in charge of health policy and public science and data. They actually said that kids did not have to go to school and masks anymore. It wasn't necessary because and they're right. The science and data says. It doesn't spread with with kids vaccinated or not. That kids don't get it, And if they do, it's very mild. They don't spread it, and most of the teachers are vaccinated anyway. So let's stop the ridiculousness, especially on 90 degree days. Kids are coming back. Outside there, flush there sweating, and they've got to wear masks all for show. But then the the Education Department, which has nothing to do with science, actually contradicted them. So now they said, You have to wear masks, kids. So what I've said as a parent This is becoming nonsense. Have superintendents say, Look, you want to wear a mask, where a mask If you don't don't and everyone should respect each other's decision. And that's where it should be. So the civil disobedience is it's completely unnecessary. It's a forest. We all know it. Why put these kids through hell, the got buildings that are in air conditioned and the hot days. Let's have some common sense. That's what that's what I meant by civil disobedience. Hey, Rob, Before we run, just have under a minute here. Is the Legislature ever going to get around to impeaching Governor Cuomo with all the scandals I don't think so. I mean, look there in the investigation phase right now from the attorney general. It's probably going to be into the fall where they'll come public. To what Was actually said and corroborated. I think his biggest worry is going to have to be with the federal government, you know, looking into the book deal. I think that's a bigger thing with the nursing homes. Than an impeachment from the Democratic Legislature. All right. Rob Astorino running for governor, Former Westchester County executive. Thanks, Rob. Okay, guys, take care. Were you? By the way, Rob, Were you close to tube in No, Please. Definitely not shake hands with them. Yeah. Okay. Thanks. Rob coming up next, All right. Alright, local politics Jack Cinderelly going to take on Governor Murphy In November, The former Assemblyman won the Republican primary for governor easily as to getting 49% of the vote. Unlike his other Republican opponents, this guy distance himself from President Trump. In the race for Mayor Eric Adams says he's going to skip tomorrow night's Democratic debate so he can go to a vigil for Justin Wallace, that young kid killed in Queens. His Democratic opponents accuse him being afraid to answer tough questions and some tough questions coming for Governor Cuomo. He's being investigated for possibly retaliating against his accusers. Maybe there can be a debate. Do we have to announce today who were voting for a year? No. November doesn't Don't worry. We know you're voting. We know what he doesn't worry about it. Let your okay The Biden administration investigating how tax information from several of the world's richest people was leaked. I know how. Um there was a report in Propublica that said they had obtained IRS documents showing the likes of Jeff Bezoza, Elon Musk, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates and Len Burman have legally avoided paying income photo. I'm sorry. Lynn was not on the Bloomberg It was Bloomberg. It wasn't uh, you're alright. What qt pi Joey they But all these guys are all the money pay, no income tax. What's going on here? What's going on Your right. Someone's got to pay for infrastructure. Yeah, Somebody better be so anyway. Jen Circle back sake, told reporters she's not going to comment on the specifics, but She did say in broad terms. These people need to be paying more. So I suspected the Biden administration like this. They leaked it. No question about it. Sure, Yes, no, of course they did. Because this is all part of that. We got to raise taxes on everybody, and this is part of the strategy to To make up for practice. Trump never released his taxes. So let's release everybody else's I get it. Is that legal? "Metamucil. Yeah, well, Robbie's gonna get nasty isn't gonna get nasty between you and Lee Zeldin and, uh, Andrew Giuliani, you gotta You gotta scrap for that nomination. No, no, no. And by the way, Andrew Giuliani has the lowest golf Andy CAPP out of all of us. He's got a great swing is terrific. I played with him. He is no. All three of us, like I said, would be 100 times better than the obnoxious guy that's there right now. And or the next one that gets off the merry go round. Merry go round. It doesn't matter. Which Democrat follows Cuomo. They're going to be worse, actually, so All three would be tremendously better than what we have here. There's some differences between us, and that'll come out during the Republican primary in the process. Now, I think you know my executive experience running West Chester for eight years. Getting elected in a very deep blue county like Westchester is meaningful as we try to win back the suburbs and try to win statewide, so There's their issues between us, but when it's all said and done, it's not going to matter because any one of us will be so much better than what they'll offer or Cuomo for 1/4 term. So as you're running around the state here talking to voters, Rob, what's the number one? What's the number one concern? Well, they're number one reaction is Cuomo's gotta go away. Hey, Sam. Yeah, everywhere That's and that's it. That's it. The Statehouse? Yes, that's from his staff. You know, we used to hear ABC remember back in the nineties one. But Cuomo And now ABC is Astorino beats Cuomo. Oh, wow. Rob came up with a big would let's put that on a bumper sticker. One better, though, Go E mean people have got to be concerned about businesses fleeing the state. People fleeing the state taxes? No end in sight. That would be high on my list. I think No, There's no question There's no question. I mean, literally. People are throwing for sale signs everywhere up in every neighborhood. They have the real estate agent already in the Carolinas or Florida. Or they already moved and it is because it's becoming unlivable. You know the quality of life issues don't underestimate them. Taxes are really high and getting worse. And And that effects people and the economy, But the quality of life issues such as you know, in the city, it's filthy in the city. There's bullets flying. I don't feel safe any more graffiti. All of those things matter the fact that cops are being denigrated and treated like criminals where criminals are being treated with you, no exaltation and as the victims All of that matters, and it's the left that's pushing this crazy agenda. "Is a number 803 2107 10. So in California, you know a lot of work stuff starts there and then moves around the country. There's a movement now to get rid of the s A. T s the tests to get into college. So University of California is the first to say they will not accept s A T scores. Mm. Where was this when I was a trying? I mean, I think I got like 100 and 80 in the s A T s, Uh, but so how will you decide who gets in the walk crowd will will decide who they like. No more s a T s No more of this job, Arthur. What do you think of that stupid idea? Well, you know, everybody needs a fair chance, Mark, you know So what does that mean? Like an idiot like me? Who couldn't do well on the S A. T, uh, should have a fair chance. I don't know. I think there should be tests. I think you know you should be grated when you hand in an exam. You know, everybody just doesn't pass. Yeah, This is your right. That's like you know, when they got rid of winners and losers and became participation, trophies and spirits. You know, everybody wins. We don't keep score. That's what you end up with a bunch of idiots living in their parent's basements with no ambition. That's the problem. So now this is a whole industry. By the way, Preparing kids for the S A. T u these companies, these test prep companies. What the hell are they going to do? If this goes through? That's not good at all. So anyway, we'll take some calls. Let's go to Johnny, the truck driver. Johnny, how you doing? Hey, Mark. Yeah, I'm worried about cycle. Of next year's election. It's the lefties Get that HR. One past it might be difficult for the Republicans to take the House and Senate. They changed the rules of the game. Yeah. I understand what you're saying that allows for more of questionable voter practices, but But you know when you win by a big margin, you have to worry about that stuff. I think you'll see Republicans win by a big margin. They got a better chance of so far as far as which seats are up. And all of that also is a couple of Democrats looking to retire. That's not gonna help either. If they say if they do retire, and we talk about Andrew Giuliani, running for Governor, and if you think well, he's not experienced enough to young. He's never campaign. But again. We got that commercial upon the website. Go take a look at it. It's really impressive. That opening commercial and then I noticed last night If you're watching the late night shows If you're watching Jimmy Fallon or Jimmy Kimmel, they really went after Andrew Giuliani. I mean, not one joke, but like nine jokes in a row and Graphics and they really went after him. That's a good sign for him. They're taking him a real seriously on You got the lease Elvin running against him. If he got a pretty for governor for mayor, we got the biggest collection of idiots. I don't want to vote for any of these idiots for mayor but for governor got great candidates. You got Lee's Elvin the congressman from Long Island. You got Rob Astorino. Who would be great, and last time he ran against Cuomo. He got closer to winning than any other candidate who's ever run against Cuomo, unlike Rob Astorino had to be my first choice. Somebody. One of these guys could also run for lieutenant governor. At the last moment, they could do that. But Lee's Eldon seems like the most prominent because he's a congressman. But on the other hand when he announced I didn't see any of the late night coverage, I don't see Fallon and Kimmel make jokes about him, But they really went after Andrew Giuliani and if they keep doing that, That's going to make him the front runner. That's gonna help a lot that he's getting all that attention. So I don't know if he's a smart kid. I don't if you calculated all of that in there that there's a lot of Democrats, it'll get triggered by the name Giuliani. But that it might help him so oh, I meant to mention Charles Grodin. We lost the great actor Charles Groden on a job. Aren't you ever meet Charles growth? No general, but he I'd liked his work. He's a great actor. Yeah, he was, but he was a good actor. It's one thing to be a great actor. But then if you become a big hit on all the talk shows, I think was Johnny Carson. First he came on as a nasty cream, Uh, gin and just mean the Carson really nasty. And it got huge. Perhaps it was just an act, but he came back and he did it again and again. They did hundreds of cars and appearances. He started doing Letterman. He just looked like a grumpy mean guy. He was kind of a strange guy in real life. He was a little like that. But then sometimes you just start talking and telling stories. He was a very funny guy. He wrote some great books. He was a really good writer, great books with stories and show business stuff. Hey, had a really great career. Everybody's turned down a roller to that they may have might have made him even bigger. He was originally offered the role of the Graduate. 19 is back in the sixties, but that would have really launched him into it. Look what it did for Dustin Hoffman. But he just died yesterday lived in the Connecticut very close friends with Regis Philbin. He was always there with Regis, and they often had dinner together. Every Saturday night fell Bella in Connecticut. They were close friends and I think that's the last time I saw him. It was the Regis Philbin Final Show Party. Hey, was there but a great great guy coming up next and culture will be with us. Let's see what she's got to say about all this craziness in the world will get to that. Next on 7 10 W O R. Let's get the latest news. Here's Joe Bartlett. Already mark. If you're fully vaccinated, you don't have to wear a mask in New York and Connecticut. In most instances,.

"Well, Rob before you go up up against quo you gotta go after Elise. Eldon, You gotta win the Republican nomination. Now. You want to take a few, uh, swipes at least held in this morning so we can get him on it. He can take some swipes of you. Yeah, I'll be fun tactic. You could position it This way. He's gotta go against may weigh all got to go against each other. And that's funny that no most wipes, I think Again. All of our zouk A should be aimed directly that not just Cuomo, but the status quo in the corruption of Albany and look Unfortunately, we had too many Republicans in Albany in the past completely in bed with Cuomo on his policies on the corruption on the cover up, So it's not just about Cuomo. It's whoever the next Democrat that comes off the merry go around to take his place. On their failed policies. It's all the same. It's all status quo that is just killing New York. Rob before we run. You have the CDC saying, Take your masks off and you have Governor Cuomo and Eddie Murphy in New Jersey, saying, Man, not so fast. What do you make of that? It's ridiculous. First of all, people were walking outdoors by themselves that are wearing masks. There are bigger issues there. Him, right. There's no reason no reason whatsoever that we should be wearing masks like last night. I got home yesterday. The matter what I said. This trip has to end. I had to pull in my driveway Four o'clock. My son had his senior prom last night. And it was worth way I was missing that moment. Thank you, Adam. You know, so even last night, they all had still out there forms they all had to be either vaccinated or have a negative test within 24 hours of 48 hours. And then they were killed with her master indoors for their prom. You know to me, It's like, OK, What is the ridiculousness here? The windows or the doors are open. They're outside as well. Way. We've taken it to an absurd level right now, And it doesn't make sense when the CD in science we've known for at least six months. That's basically impossible outdoors to get it and even indoors, according to the new studies. It's really a matter of town volunteer. They are not even how close you are so on the ventilation means everything. So these kind of be we've got to adapt today, not to last year. Rob Astorino, former Westchester County executive, perhaps the next governor of New York. Thanks, Rob. That's right. Take care. All right, Safe travels coming up next. This should make Michael and Joe very happy. We've got the resumption of the Trump rally yet. Oh, coming up soon, and that's next. "Enforce a one size fits all solution and to the mistaking Isn't that not acknowledging your fallibility? But this is what politicians do. They're prone to do things rather than let Free People act and as a result, he sent a lot of people to an early death. Last question. Will Andrew Cuomo survive? We now have Rob Astorino. I've known him for many years, Congressman Um Selden from long, Alan. He's running. I hear there's gonna be other names next week. Some names that will be familiar to people. So it's getting interesting to these guys have a chance in the state of New York is liberal is it is? I think they do simply because what they say if you lost Walter Cronkite, you lost the nation. Cuomo's even lost The New York Times and he's flailing about as you'd expect from one bad idea. One bad statement to another. My strong sense is that it Days are numbered and for good reason, because he we're learning yet again that when you take away the freedom of the people, and you take away the right to work when you take away the right to operate the business When you take away their right to decide what's best for their health. You get disaster. Former oversaw disaster He should be pushed out. Appreciate you joining us. Thanks for the update. We'll check in often. John Tammany. Thank you from Freedomworks. Let's go to our phones. Jason and Florida. Jason Glad you called. How are you, sir? Taking the cough? What's going on? Yeah. Just update for the I'm here in Florida and moved from California to try to get away from everything. It's like it's following me, but I think it's more of the administration that's in the office now, just yesterday. I heard that there's no no problems with gas lines or anything like that, and I got to get gas yesterday. I'm only empty tank and I knew that there is a shortage and, um, the first three pumps. I go to gas stations were completely empty. And it took 45 minutes to get gas yesterday while I'm in line. Three. The pumps run out, I guess, And I haven't been out today, but I can guarantee you at least all the gas stations around Tallahassee area out of Yes, Listen, there's a map As Erick Erickson tweeted it out today. Somebody sent it to me. And I looked at it on my phone, and I'm like, Wow, all the stations that don't have gas the same thing in North Carolina 70%. For example, North Carolina Greenville. Spartanburg, Asheville, Anderson. No gasoline, Rollie Dorm 72%. No gasoline 71% Charlotte, No gasoline on then you look at Norfolk and Portsmouth. A Newport. Yeah. 65% have no gas at all. And Florida 73% of Pensacola. No gas 44% of Tallahassee where you are No Gasque Gainesville Lot areas They don't have gas in the rest of Florida is looking a little bit better. They were less impacted that some of these other states But the governor's still declared rightly so. A state of emergency. It's just insane. Um, yeah, I just wish America the best That's that's all I can do. But it's It just needs to be a lot. A lot of change going on this. We're heading the wrong direction. Yeah. Uh, maybe you can bring in hunter to solve the problem. Maybe you could talk to his Russian oligarch, the former first lady of Moscow. Maybe she can help us hunter. Where are you when your country needs you anyway, Thank you, Jason. I quick break. We'll come back more phone calls coming up straight ahead. 809. 41, Shawn, You wanna be a part of the program? We got an incredible Hannity 90 years to tonight. Where's Joe? Has anybody seen Joe? Hello, Joe. You watching what's happening in Israel? Watching the Chinese theory? Deion's the Russians uniting together, Joe, There's gas lines all over the country, Joe, we're being hacked, Joe. Where are you Go, will continue. Uh, next, our final round up and information overload our Sean Hannity hearing. If you're like me, you've invested a lot of money in your home. If you want to protect all of those.

"Copy is proud to be the official coffee of Bernie and sit in the morning. Check him out today register now and good luck. Okay, 8 41 on this gorgeous Sun splashed Tuesday. Hey, Sonny, and basically 65 70 the rest of the week. A beautiful spring week ahead. Got a text from this guy yesterday all excited about officially announcing his run. For the gubernatorial. We've had Lee Selden on this show do that. Last week, Andrew Giuliani hinted that he be doing that soon. Our next guest Mr Westchester is about to do it officially now, Rob Astorino Rob. Good morning, Welcome back to Bernie and said Mr West Chester's. That means good looks. Does that mean I convinced more than great? Kelly's 301 of them mean Well, you're good looking and of great Kelly Ben's £300. Then Joe Biden is the best president ever about that President. There's no way it's a shot. That was a weird pictures like a HEPA Smith machine half or straight part. I don't know what the hell that was your charging it. It was a doctored photo. There's no question you can imagine power crazy. Anyway. More importantly, Rob you will you have a big announcement to make today and let's do it right now, Rob, What are you telling the people of New York? Well, I just pulled off the Taconic. We're in northern Dutchess County. On a way to Albany. You were 10 o'clock. I'm going to announce to the press that I am running for governor and I am running because this state Is in a death spiral, and it's not just Andrew Cuomo. I mean, he is a major cause. But the symptom is really the corruption and it's the radical left. It's The bad policies that we have had to be, you know, endure over the last 10 years and more than that, quite frankly, and it's really about just cleaning up this whole state and putting it back on track so people can live here. And it's what I did in Westchester, you know, which is a very Democratic county, Westchester's 3 to 1 Democrat and here I am, You know, Republican having won it twice Countywide by big numbers. Attracting new people to the party. I speak Spanish, so it gives us a great opportunity to go into different areas and on quite frankly and different media and to talk about why We need change in education crime, which is affecting everybody, the corruption that we we don't have to deal with. And unfortunately we all pay a corruption tax. In this state. The taxes themselves are the highest in the nation's economy stinks. Jobs are leaving people leaving. I mean other that's great. We've got to really make a massive change in this state. And I did it in Westchester because we had a lot of Democrats who voted for me. A lot of African Americans. Hispanics as I mentioned, so I think we could bring in a lot of new people to the party. In addition, obviously to being rock solid with Republicans, so I'm excited. I can't wait to get back on the trail and I ran and 14. He gave quote Cuomo, the closest race he's ever had in all seven statewide races, and it is unfortunately I was ahead of my time there when I was talking about almost corruption. And in our debate, you could Google it? I said on that stage and buffalo, you know, raise your right hand. And you swear to the people of New York that you're not under federal investigation that you have been subpoenaed. Your office hasn't been succeeded. And you know he wouldn't do it and we were right. We were right then and Unfortunately, we had Republicans playing footsie with Cuomo back then you know Dean Skelos, who is the state Senate chair on others, Chris Christie was the Republican Governors Association chair on some county executives, So it was a very different time. But with that we still get in the race of his life. And this time I'm ready to finish him off and put this state back on track. Well, unfortunately, Rob Astorino on the Bernie in situ announcing his run for governor here in New York state on the primaries a year off, and we, Cindy and I We really, really like you, rob Astorino, but we have to ask you this question. At this point. What makes you think you're a better candidate than our friend? The Iraq War veteran and congressman from Long Island? Lee's Elden, Why are you better than Lee Zeldin? First off. I love Lee. And I think that Republicans have great options here. This is about who can win in a general election in a very Diverse state and a state that we're down and registration to the one And who has experience in that I've been an executive of a very large county. You know, I had a Democratic Legislature, Democratic electorate. And yet nobody would mistaking me for you know anything but a Republican and conservative that You know, I've vetoed a sanctuary County bill that the Democrats put up by Vito tax increases. I went head to head with Obama's Justice Department and hunt when they try to really control zoning in Westchester, which was gonna be a test case for all the suburbs. And we want and so you know, having run a very large, complex county like Westchester. It gives us an opportunity and you have to win the suburbs. There's no question I want Suffolk and 14. Way paint the state read. Other than that blue dot where you guys right now in New York City, But we can get to around 30%, which is what you need to do on Gwen will do that. So I think Republicans have good choices. I think there's some differences between us, which will play out. And like you said, I, you know where the first little The first game of a doubleheader. And there's some you know of the establishment who don't want anyone to take the field at the games wrapped up right? This is a long long process. It is and again, Rob, we We know you're up to the job again. We know your political success in the past, but it is interesting. Let's have this conversation this morning that you aren't coming off a failed attempt in your Senate pit. I know that there was a little horse play the one around and you know that first day you were up a lot of votes. I know the whole story and I'm not even sure to this day you really lost, but it is a loss and the book so coming off the laws for your bid for a Senate Seems like an odd time now to run for governor. What would you say to that? Nobody cares. Nobody cares..

"Everybody. Beautiful love Friday morning are Big three headlines this morning. Well, Mary de Blasio says. If your tourist and you come to New York, you can be score Couple of Texas to see Hamilton and you can get a vaccine. It's gonna be passing out the Johnson and Johnson vaccine There's gonna Bea little boots all over the place on top of the Empire State Building by the Statue of Liberty. Ellis Island. When you go into Hamilton and you get a little Johnson and Johnson vaccine, so come to New York. You can get a jab. Stab because the city so dangerous and you could wind up on a slab as Rob Astorino was gonna run for governor. That's his phrase that he's coined. Don't know if that's a winning phrase, too, will become the governor of work. That'll be big company or it's not exactly I like Ike. But it's Z comfort jabs to have and wind up on a slab. So there you go. Also in the big 32 subway crime is rising. We all know that we know the subways are incredibly dangerous. We know I was down in the subway the other day. People don't even standing on the platform anymore. They stand behind the pillars because they're afraid that some crazy always did come. Shove, you shove you in front of the subway. But de Blasio says it's fine. There's other wrong with subway. I take it all the time. Right. Please give me a break and rounding out the big three something to be concerned about over the weekend. "Well, if the Department of Justice under the Trump administration was asking for these things Those kind of investigations shouldn't stop because in theory, it should be from the You know, United States Attorney's office, the sudden Southern district or one of them, so continue that continue asking for documents and let's see where it goes. Now we'll know whether we have an honest DOJ or not. We don't Well, I mean, give them time. Maybe they are investigating. But the fact that Cuomo unilaterally said no. And now they admitted in public that they said no. Will there be any admonishment or recrimination publicly by the DOJ or not? Hey, Rob, I don't know if you're gonna do it in 30 seconds. That's all. We got Your your quick thoughts on the impeachment proceedings. Well before when you said the case against Trump. Did you put him in airports? Because this whole thing is just complete Nutter. "R D Good morning, everybody on Friday the Big three headlines this morning. Well, I regret to say the new strain of the Corona virus, the one that comes from South Africa. Has been found. Get this in South Carolina. Not too far. I'm told from where old job. Arlette is there you've got about Scott's cause for concern. Isn't it? Just a little bit? Yes, because they say this is very highly contagious. And, you know, so far A lot of people have been lucky, but you know things were changing. You guys double masking now. You double masking. They say we should double mask. I don't You know, you should have a surgical mask underneath your cloth mask. Double mask up there. That's a lot of that's it. Z one mask. It's fun. Yeah. Okay. Hey. Hey. How you doing? Oh, I'll let you know Michael. Also in the Big Three. Well, indoor dining, We'll be back here. The governor has room. Has released are loose, and I should say some of the restrictions there. But you know, you never know with this governor. He on the one hand to give birth and then, on the other hand, he take up the way he might just get your hopes up the restaurant owners that they can have indoor dining on Lee to tell him woke up. There's a spike No more indoor dining. Yeah, I can see him doing it. He would do it in a heartbeat. So 20 and 25%. How do you make any you can get him money. 25% indoor dying. Come on, You can't and rounding out the Big Three. Sad news. Great Cicely Tyson, wonderful Actress. You remember her from roots. She was in roots back in the seventies and the autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman. I think that was the big TV series that she did, where she played a former slave who survives to be 100. She was wonderful in that. I remember seeing that was a kid. Cicely Tyson has left us. 96 years old. All right, let's check in with our buddy Rob Astorino, the former Westchester County executive and the political commentator. So, Rob, First of all, Good morning. I hope you're well. Good morning. Um well, I've got my five masks on. So Rob, Here's the thing. I read this very, very interesting article in the Wall Street Journal the other day by Mark Kingdom, and he's the CEO of Kingdom Capital Management. It's called New York. I love you, but we can't go on like this. And he really He lays out this financial crisis right here in the city and in this state, and his concern is that with these Democrats, these progressives in charge of everything he's going to find himself. He's a rich guy. He's going to find himself in a tax bracket of practically 68%. And he's basically saying I don't care how rich you are. You're out of here at a certain point. What's going on? I read that and he's so right, and I'm glad that Mark spoke up because ah lot of the business community remained silent. They're afraid of battling or you know any controversy with city government or or the governor. Because of retribution, so they basically you know they're almost accomplices in what's been going on by their silence instead of and I remember in 2014. When I ran against Cuomo, I was up in the sag more. Cuomo and I both had to give a speech to the state Business Council. And I said, You know what? I'm gonna do something that they're not expecting. I'm actually gonna take them to task. Because these were the business leaders of New York State who had endorsed Cuomo, who was basically managing the destruction of our state. Um and so I said to them, Look, you know, I'm not coming up here to tell you things are great nor That you know, your endorsement of him was the right thing, and I went on and said to them, you have the power just as they do in New York City. You have the power with your financial resource is with your cloud with your businesses. With your employees to actually make changes in this state that will benefit everybody. But you choose not to. You choose to be silent. Take the easy path and tow arm the enemy that wants to bite your fingers off and don't think it's not gonna happen. And it has been happening, so I'm glad that You know, at least somebody was very vocal, and I think more need to do that. And you know what? We'll see. We'll see the day that Cuomo had yesterday. And he's gonna have today with the talk about The attorney general's report. We'll see more of that, and we'll see the real quality because we haven't seen the real Cuomo. He has been the luckiest politician in the world. He's had Donald Trump on one side and Bill de Blasio on the other, so no matter what happens. He can just blame either one of those, But now one bogey man is gone and the other one is leaving and so were stripped with the real Andrew Cuomo, which is Well, let's see. Hey, shut down The Moreland Commission years ago to hide corruption and he got away with it. He has, you know, destroyed the economy and totally screwed up the vaccination rollout. So he's been incompetent, but he's basically gotten away with it. But now he's basically criminally negligent, according to the attorney general for 13,000, nursing home deaths, which we all knew, but nobody was pushing back on because they were afraid of him. Now, all of a sudden, you've got a governor sitting in the street bleeding. And the question is, will will people stop on him and be able to take him out next year? Or, you know is everyone going to be quite I guarantee you one thing. Cuomo was going to come out today or tomorrow with something dramatic, like all the restaurants are open up 50% capacity to try to change the conversation away from from what rightfully should be our topic conversation today his blame in that it with that executive order. You know, No. Two ways about it that he's in the wrong here. But, you know, look, the Democrats air control in Albany. I think it's gonna be hard extremely hard because the Republicans aren't too that organized in the state to knock him out. But that's not what even I won't ask you about. Leticia James actually stood up to Governor Cuomo. I was really surprised by that in this whole report. I mean, maybe she had no choice, but you know, she's a fellow Democrat. Well, I think knowing what's happening is you're seeing it nationally and you're seeing it locally. You've got the progressive wing. The real radicals. You know, the Socialists Marxists. Versus the establishment, and Cuomo has always been a various stab. I mean, there's no more establishment than Andrew Cuomo, right, And now he's even worse because he's like a middle aged white guy was completely completely, you know, gone with the Democratic Party of today, so I think you're seeing a battle take place. It's sort of like game of Thrones, which my wife and I are binging on right now. Lovett. Eight seasons. Don't tell me anything. What's happening at the end? But anyway, you know, it could be the Dragon Glass. Another hint from game of Thrones that could kill him in that you've got the progressives. Attacking the establishment wing. You're going to see a lot of that play out nationally and in New York, and that does allow for Republicans to win when they're all split up on the left. But I think you're going to see the Tous James and the crazy side of the Democratic Party really start attacking Cuomo on others like him as we go forward towards the elections next year, Rob My fear is always that Republicans can only ever get into power here in the city or even in the state when the Democrats have totally ruined everything. So we have to go through wreckage before the voters smarten up and say, Jeez, we cannot go down this progressive path or they're gonna tax everything I have. I'm gonna have to leave the city or leave the state. But you know, we wait until there's wreckage before we elect Republicans. And there's no guarantee with even all the wreckage that they'll still throw the Democrats out..

"On it led to this and it's got to stop. It has to stop wrong is wrong, no matter who does it. Rob Listen, I think the Democrats will screw things up. But along the way, Well, they have a lot of power right now. And how do you how? I'm not saying you're wrong. No, you're right. But Rob, wait a minute, though. How do you stop Democrats? If they're going to let's say they want to give Puerto Rico statehood and get two senators from there and get the center from D C. That's a way of cementing power for generation and they're gonna do it. You know they will. You do you do have the courts and and thank God when Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away, Thank God Trump, and this is this is a very good legacy of hit is And in restocking the courts with jurists who care about the law and aren't so ideological, but they're gonna separate or they're going to pack the court. I don't think they will. I don't think they were. That's one thing. I don't think they're going to be able to do. And you know you look, you see that You also have to get things out of committees and committee is going to be deadlocked and the Kamila Harris doesn't sit on a committee. She she presides over the Senate as vice president and can cast the tie breaking vote on the floor. So there are still some procedural things. I don't think Joe mansions on record, saying he will not end the filibuster. If he holds to that, then you still have 60 votes. You have to get to pass major legislation so You. Let's see how things go through in the next couple of weeks as they start to, you know, figure out what they're going to do in the Senate. But I think Biden's not gonna have a total free pass on everything. I think there are going to be some checks and balances within. And maybe some cooler heads prevail. There's gonna be a lot of screaming and yelling, but we'll see what actually gets done. I think you're right, Michael. What they do can be damaging and they can do a lot through executive orders and through the agencies. That's where the courts just like in the last four years. Every time Donald Trump did something Democrats ran to court. You're gonna see a lot of that. Probably over the next four years in the reverse, All right. Hey, Rob, Rob Astorino. Former Westchester can exactly always great talking to good stuff this morning, Rob. Thanks a lot. Thanks, Robert. You guys happy 2021? Yeah, really off to a rip roaring start here. The Great Betty White turns 99 Sunday. Betty White, of course, from the Mary Tyler Moore Show and Golden Girls and Wonderful Game Show Panelist Married to Allen Ludden. I believed the emcee of password, and she better used to appear on password on match game. In the seventies and all that, and she's really one of the last of the television icons of that that golden age of TV and the sixties and into the seventies. I think she and Gavin Macleod are the I think they're the only Forecast members left of the merit. No ad as they're still with us. So there three of them left because George Angle died recently. If you don't remember that course. Mary Tyler Moore is no longer with us. Yeah, Yeah. Betty White 19 Baxter. Yeah. All right. So Betty White turning night if you haven't seen it, this a terrific documentary about her on Netflix that goes back all those years. So, she said Amazing career and Everyone who's matters such a wonderful person, Betty White turning 99 all right, some of the guests we had on today we had Rob Astorino, the former Westchester County executive, he's down in Washington. He talked about walking around the streets, and it's like an armed fortress town walking around D. C. I hope this isn't a glimpse of the future. None because Like I just had this series dealing it. Everything's getting fenced up. There are there are troops everywhere. There are cops everywhere streets. It's so eerie. It's like it's like New York City right after 9 11. It's like New York City, you know, in in March and early April this last year with the pandemic There's nobody in this city. Everybody is being told, Do not come in. Wow, we have replied on the ABC News political director. He's based in Washington. And, uh, well, I thought it was a little bit of a Freudian slip. Yeah, it's terrible. Tell you just frankly, I mean, I love impeach. I love I love inaugurations. The impeachment, little Freudian,.
