And on three 95, from D.C. to Springfield, southbound slow near the waterfront crossing the air force memorial, and at a stretch southbound between seminary and duke of volume, 95 southbound slow roll from newington into woodbridge, northbound crash near Prince William Parkway on the shoulder. 66 traffic calming down, we're down to brief delays, westbound near Vienna, and centerville. On the beltway, still on the slow side on the interloop from the toll road river road on the outer loop sluggish at a tysons but improving, outer loop traffic is still slow from telegraph to the Wilson bridge. New crash on the beltway is in Maryland on the inner loop near joint base Andrews before branch cavity, I think the likelihood of at least a lane blocked on the interloop. Volume delays are already showing signs of easing in Montgomery county on four 95 and north of it onto 70. Still sluggish through Gaithersburg, Baltimore, Washington Parkway, a couple of hiccups between the beltway and 32, but even on the Parkway volumes are lower this hour. "Leveraging the potential of AI, visit thundercat tech dot com slash Dell to learn more. It's 9 38. Traffic and weather on the 8s jackets really been a struggle today. Is it going to get any better? It certainly has we're hoping at this point. It's just this big clean up of a two tractor trailer crash early this morning on the inner loop of the beltway as you headed from Virginia into Maryland, crossed the legion bridge before river road. That is where we have the crash still with us, two to the left will get you by the slowdown, just north of two 36 yes. That two 36 back in Virginia, leaving annandale the entire ride up into Tyson's and McLean. The outer loop, your lanes are open, but a lot to look at, and unfortunately it's still causing that delay, right at the lane divide going down this spur, and on the outer loop, after three 55, headed to the inner loop crash. The rack that was two 70 south in the delay after montrose wrote if it had still there, it had been blocking the far right lane. I don't think it's there anymore. Limited lanes up in Gaithersburg with the crash on east village avenue down near plum creek drive, it kind of puts it before one 24, just follow police direction. 50 at the bay bridge, still two lanes east, two lanes west, we're waiting on the preparation. No, it looks like we've got three lanes now going eastbound, so they are in two way operation, three lanes east, two lanes going back west. Late slowing in Virginia 95 northbound right around route three, heading to the rappahannock. Then again, briefly into lorton should be some work north 95 after lorton, usually along the right side, but I just can't see it in the camera. Southbound had been heavy moving toward woodbridge. There was a little bit of a delay getting out of Dale City. The rack that was southbound down near the dumfries interchange is gone. On one 23 south, before chain bridge, there was a broken down vehicle, and we're still working that crash on one 23 near Anderson road in McLean. In the district bladensburg road up near queen's chapel road in northeast, follow police direction around that crash. "News. It's 1238. Traffic and weather on the 8s, back to the traffic center, and Rita Kessler. The big problem remains on the beltway near river road affecting both directions. All of the travel lanes on the inner loop were blocked, but possibly that far right transition lane is still squeezing you by everything that is going on. We are seeing a few vehicles get by past the scene. So the outer loop of the beltway, your delay is going to be before the merge with the spur near the big curve. Any past river road, the left side of the roadway is blocked, that interleukin backup is near Georgetown pike and coming off of the George Washington Parkway, headed all the way toward river road again. It may be the far right shoulder. That is getting you by. We also have the delays in both directions headed toward Georgetown pike. This is the work set up the interloop of the beltway has the delay coming from the toll road and off of the off of the toll road and out of tysons, headed toward Georgetown pike, you're also gonna find on 95 north bondo lays approaching and passing lorton road. That was work in the right lane. Southbound D.C. two 95 slows from burrows headed past the east capital street. If you're in Maryland, northbound, Baltimore, Washington Parkway, delays approaching and passing powder mill road, southbound route three near wall chapel road and rye del road was a report of Iraq. Also, the eastbound span of the bay bridge left in a tube blocked with the work, the westbound span running two way traffic, and 50 in the area of four O four watch for police direction for the crash. If you want to sell your ride, all you have to do is go to give me the vin dot com, put in your license plate number, put in the miles attach a couple of pictures and give me the vin dot com will get it bought. "28. Traffic and weather on the 8s in when it breaks back to Jack Taylor for a check of traffic. Still with our bellway delays in Maryland Michelle riding on the interloop of the bellway, leaving the John Hansen highway off and on heavy traffic down toward two O two, you want the pace to improve, but it really doesn't until you get down closer to Pennsylvania avenue. The culprit for the delay is now what seems to be very dry. There was a dump truck of some sort of dropping some sort of dirt and debris down in the second lane from the left. No lanes have ever been blocked, the debris is still there, but it's drying out, so it must be easier to drive over the two right lanes, better than the two left lanes, by the way, beyond it, you will slow after saint Barnabas road down to the Wilson bridge. Expect delays topside add loop from 95 over toward Georgia avenue. Then before all Georgetown wrote into the big curve, slow riding down just past river road. Baltimore Washington Parkway headed north as you approach the beltway. It's the beginning of a work zone right at the beginning of the ramp. There's work there along the right side, 50 westbound, expect some very slow traffic unusual in your cape saint Clair. There was a wreck out near the severn river bridge unclear if it was moved out of the roadway. Huge delays build quickly on southbound route two, trying to get on to 50 west. We had a delay on 95 southbound near route 100. There was a wreck, I think, out of the roadway right side now. You'll find in Virginia, look for delays on the beltway inner loop out of Springfield toward two 36, then north of 50 into tysons, 95 and three 95 northbound lanes are open, we've had some heavier traffic riding in woodbridge than again in lorton, but three 95 the slowest as you approach duke headed to king street, then you'll slow again to cross the 14th street bridge, dump truck may be overturned in Leesburg, on 7 westbound, on the ramp to go south on Leesburg bypass U.S. 15. There, please follow police direction. Lanes are open in the district, but still slow out of oxen cove I two 95 north, the wreck up before suitland Parkway is on the left shoulder. Jack Taylor, WTO P traffic. And here's 7 news first alert meteorologist Eileen whalen. "Governor Larry Hogan is now facing an arrest warrant after failing to appear in court, keep it here for full details on these stories and just minutes. Let's head over to the traffic center traffic and weather on the 8 years Rita Kessler. Well, if you're on the beltway, the outer loop of the beltway in Maryland China hit into Virginia. Your delay is going to start after river road. This is going to take you across the American legion bridge, headed past Georgetown pike. There are two things going on here. The two left lanes get by the crash and the work zone. So both the crush and the work zone are along the right side of the roadway. If you're on the inner loop, watch out for any work along the right side as well, but not really seeing a delay. On the George Washington Parkway, northbound, closer to turkey run toward the beltway watch for work taking Elaine southbound slows after one 23 with a single lane getting by the work 95 in Virginia that northbound delay begins near courthouse road in Stafford. So near 6 30 in Stafford's solid all the way past the Quantico exit, this was the wreck that looks to be moved over to the right shoulders, the travel lanes should be open, but then it looks good all the way across the quantum Springfield, southbound 95 just slows crossing the Aquaman. Northbound three 95 delays from edsel road toward king street or tour duke street actually. This is work taking Elaine. In the districts, southbound D.C. two 95 social benning passing east capital street and the suitland Parkway at Stanton road the delays in both directions because of the work with a single lane getting you by. "Advantage of amazing carrier offers now at Samsung dot com. 1128 over to Carlos Ramirez in the traffic center. Thanks, Nick, the outer loop of the beltway is still very jammed up basically from soon after river road all the way across the American legion bridge continuing down towards one 93. It's going to be a very slow go. Make sure you stay over to the far right hand side of the roadway to get by. That's the single lane that is getting by the work crews. Remember to be kind to one another, respect the zipper. Eastbound side of the dulles access road, the ramp to the inner loop of the beltway is shut down. If you want to get on the interlude with the beltway after riding along the Delos access road or the toll road, go ahead and take route 7 from route 7, you can manage your way over towards the beltway with not too much trouble. One 93 is an option as well. If you want to avoid all of that, the eastbound side of 66, the work cruise is just after 28, single lane is what's getting by. If you're headed on I 95 coming up from, say, the Richmond area, watch out for this. Soon after the exit for thornburg, they've got an accident scene looking at the camera here. It looks like some off road activity vehicle definitely went off of the roadway there so they've got emergency crews blocking the right hand side of the roadway to try to get to that car out of the grassy area. They are again, this is northbound I 95 after the exit for thornburgh mud tavern road. You're going to see that a single lane on the left gets by. Closer to 17 there in spots you should be just fine continuing northbound through Fredericksburg. And in fact, 95 all the way up towards the Springfield interchange looks pretty awesome. Southbound IG 70s got the accident scene blocking the right lane right past montrose road. Interloop of the beltway sounds like crash activity on the right side near two O one kennel worth avenue sounds like it's on the ramp as well. "And search health. WTO at ten 28. Traffic and weather on the 8s, read a Kessler's in the WTO P traffic center. But let's start out in Maryland on the Baltimore Washington Parkway. This is southbound delays from powder mill road off and on making your way toward the beltway where there had been a report of a wreck. Then you have the delays on the beltway out of the close before river road headed across the American legion bridge toward Georgetown pike. Now the work crews had been over on the right shoulder with an arrow board, not sure if they've actually shown up taking Elaine. You'll also find the outer loop near Georgetown pike the left lane is blocked with the work you will find the inner loop delays toward Georgetown pike so watch for work set up there as well. On 66 eastbound delays after nutley toward the beltway watch for work taking a lane. Northbound 95 is still solid through lorton and newington China head into Springfield at the point where you split for the beltway, watch for the cruise with the broken down truck. It seemed to be mostly off into the gore area, but it is drawing an awful lot of attention, so there may not be any actual lanes blocked, but the delays are still there. Then Italy and Springfield headed on to three 95 toward edsel road with nothing reported. In Maryland the Bowie area, northbound three after Bel Air drive in milford boulevard, there's a crash off the road to the right, westbound two 14th central avenue near hill road in shady Glen drive the right side is blocked with the work and southbound New Hampshire avenue after not Lee wrote. It was a single lane getting by the emergency work. ". It's traffic and weather on the 8s, rob stallworth in the traffic center. Thanks, Mark, but way delays building on the auto loop in Montgomery county as you leave the two 70 spur headed toward river road in the American legion bridge, no problems on two 70 itself, but still the issue westbound I 70, it may as well exit number 42, where we had the left side block for the crash scene there, otherwise going across the bay bridge, eastbound and westbound 50, to a operation still on the westbound side, giving it three lanes east in two lanes in the westbound direction. It was southbound Georgia avenue at Forrest Glenn road where we had the right lane block for the work zone and Virginia brief slowdowns on the antelope as your approach to George Washington Parkway headed across the American legion bridge, westbound 66 delays, approaching the beltway overpass, headed out toward one 23 with a three right lanes are getting you by the express lanes work there. I 95 southbound on the brakes as you leave lord and head across the aqua Quan and down to one 23, northbound I 95 slows beyond dumphries as you continue toward the Prince William park where he once passed there, you're clear toward the Springfield interchange brief delays northbound on I three 95 up to and across the 14th street bridge. If you're in the district, it was southbound D.C. two 95 near east capital street. That's where we had the report of a crash to watch for any problems there if you're southbound on D.C. two 95, leaving eastern avenue headed toward east capital street. "Home or your smart speaker. Washington's top news. It's 1128. Traffic and weather on the 8s back over to returner in the WTO traffic center, I call it is ugly on the beltway right now coming out of Bethesda headed toward mcclain, the work sound which the taper begins just after river road extends across the American legion bridge past the exit for the GW Parkway Georgetown pike to a point just beyond the bridge for Georgetown pike, and you are down to a single left lane getting by, the exit that takes you toward both the GW Parkway and Georgetown pike remains open, but again, it's a crawl hit it across the American legion bridge, you may want to reconsider at committing to that. It's going to cost you some extra time at least 30 minutes at this point according to one of our listeners, so please be careful if you're gonna stick with it. Definitely give yourself plenty of extra time on the inner loops of the belly. They are working as you approach 50 Arlington boulevards through the 66 interchange should be down to a single right lane to that work so now. And then as you head north to the dulles toll road to a point beyond the exit for Georgetown pike, two ride lanes get you by, that works in but not nearly as bad as it is if you're traveling on the outer loop headed from Bethesda toward mcclain. Now eastbound 66 between the two centerville interchanges exits 52 and 53, single left lane gets you by once again the ramp to go north on 28 is blocked and self divert early at 29 or you'll follow the posted detour, which will take you to the fairfax county Parkway to work your way back, and then eastbound between nutley street and the beltway down to a single ride lane to the work some of the all frame to the Internet Olympic express lanes that left exit closed as part of that work sound. In Montgomery county, stop and go, miserably slow on the outer loop from two 70 and old Georgetown road past river road, the tanker truck lost breaking power short a Clare Barton Parkway, and that is where it broke down only two left lanes get by toward Virginia on the outer loop. Heavy early on the ITER loop through Silver Spring, and both ways through landover, slow northbound on two 70 into Germantown, exit 15 is still closed from both north and southbound two 70. You can not exit onto Maryland one 18 Germantown road is closed west and south of two 70 down to middlebrook road for the ongoing police response outside of DOE. There is a work zone on one 97 west of old Laurel Bowie road and alternating traffic slowly there along with southbound three O one into buoy. It is a work zone near Marlboro pike and only one lane is getting by. In Virginia, 95 northbound jammed out of Quantico between the triangles and dumfries exits a crash remains on the right side, bailout remains a factor on route one, southbound just slow into woodbridge and in a couple stretches through Stafford county. 66 eastbound near the beltway should be clearing the works on westbound volume building gradually and centerville, a crash reported on the Reston herndon line, southbound on fairfax county Parkway before Fox mill wrote its reported on the left side. "O 8. A precision AC tune up for only $69. Michael and son. Jack Taylor now in the WTO traffic center. All right, we still have our slowdowns to deal with. We'll start on the beltway. Maryland and Virginia, we've got some slowing, topside outer loop 95 over to Georgia avenue, then after all Georgetown road into the big curve. It does remain heavy going down toward river road, building volume, though, on the interloop of the beltway, coming out of tysons as you ride back toward the legion bridge into Maryland. So far, nothing to report in the way. South of town in Maryland, we've got a delay approaching two ten headed down toward the Woodrow Wilson bridge. All right, let's stay in Virginia 95 going northbound. We had some activity in woodbridge main line up near one 23. It's on the right shoulder grabbing some attention though. 66 headed west, we were slow leaving the beltway. Good news is the closer you get out toward one 23. That's where the crash got moved over to the left shoulder. Your pace is greatly improving. 66 east remains heavy manassas east into centerville, the rec that was out near 29 Centreville I believe is gone. Three 95 remains heavy coming out of the beltway, leaving Springfield riding north, headed up toward glee road, very slow though, as you approach The Pentagon, headed to and across the inbound 14th street bridge with your lanes reported open. All right, in Maryland, we've got trouble on one 97 at powder mill road. Apparently the crash blocks the northbound lanes, southbound lanes were open. Now, that could change as equipment has arrived on scene so follow crew direction, trying to get a stuck tractor trailer off the westbound lanes of green belt road. It was making a U turn at cipriano road, broke down, stuck across all three lanes, eastbound travel lanes though, were open. Crews working, it sounds like a water main break. I don't know which lanes are blocked to your route one near university boulevard, you may be down to some limited lanes, so do be careful. Two 70 south had been heavy, leaving the monocacy through rabana down to one O 9, a little bit of heavy traffic again in Germantown, then slow the length of the spur to get onto the outer loop with your lanes open. Amanda factor here with a cold morning translations of the other steps the grand princess cruise ship that has twenty one people on board with corona virus is expected to arrive in Oakland today California governor Gavin Newsom says reports being prepared and the area secured with the entire process to remove passengers expected to take two to three days former FDA commissioner says now is a crucial time in the fight against the virus on CBS's face the nation Dr Scott Gottlieb said the next two weeks are key and he adds that the next two months will probably be difficult with the closing closing of of businesses businesses and and schools schools Gottlieb Gottlieb did did offer offer reassurance reassurance saying saying quote quote we'll we'll get get through through this this another another former former democratic democratic presidential presidential candidate candidate is is endorsing endorsing Joe Joe Biden Biden in a video on Twitter California senator Kamilla Harris threw her support behind the former vice president saying quote I believe in joke we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people and I believe Joe can do that and with us right now was ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts Steve what a difference a week makes it did you anticipate Joe Biden picking up this mode the momentum this quickly no I have not I don't think anybody did I I think what we're what we're seeing though is a fascinating phenomena based on one word and that word is fear it's fear of Donald Trump and fear of Bernie Sanders Joe Biden has not been reborn as some useful charismatics move talking energetic candidates Joe Biden today is still the same Joe Biden that people have a lot of doubts about two weeks ago two months ago two years ago the difference is that Democrats have so desperate so frantic to find somebody who can beat Donald Trump that they decided that day either as a group and individually as voters and as candidates they'll camel Harris being an example of of having to rally around somebody and then choosing between Biden and Sanders the fear of Bernie Sanders is pulling the party too far to the left so there's a lot of energy around the Biden candidacy right now but in my view it's largely negative energy it's driven by fear it's driven by desperation there are not a lot of Democrats even this morning jumping up and down in Saint Joe Biden's gonna be a great candidate a great president but this negative energy is very powerful and that's what's driving this trend do you think it's now his to lose or is it too early to say that definitely has to lose end up and I think it's gonna be very difficult for Bernie Sanders to rebound here the one variable of course the one no wild card is by himself as I say he has not been report he's still the guy who can show astounding lapses of judgment he's still the guy who could make gaffes he's still the guy who can show his age very clearly he's still the guy who can appear fumbling and uncertain and in debates with Bernie Sanders and interviews it's still entirely possible for him to make damaging mistakes I think a lot of Democrats even if they rally around by they're holding their breath and hoping that Biden will get its act together and I've seen some signs a few signs of Byton improving on the stop I think he's shown a little bit more energy I think the campaign line about I'm the candidate of those who have been left behind it counted out is a defective and powerful line really echoes of a bill to written of nineteen ninety two the comeback kid although Biden's hardly a kid he's more the comeback teaser than the comeback kid and also this line of of of appealing to the concepts of dignity and civility and normalcy I think they provide a fairly stark contrast to the president who's in the oval office now but Biden is still Biden it was all of his flaws but at this point he's the Democrats best hope and it's gonna be very difficult for Sanders to capture Steve thanks for your thoughts again this morning ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts it's also worth noting that this morning one of the former
