Good morning, everyone. Peter, Mickey, good morning, guys. Thanks, everyone, for being an early joiner on a late August morning here. I know people have a lot to do in the summertime, so thanks, everybody, for joining. Peter, how are you doing? Good morning. Doing well. It's another good day watching what's going on with the BRICs and their conference in South Africa. That is one of the many topics we'll be chatting about. Mickey, how are you doing, man? Good morning. Hey, good morning. 7 a .m. here. Just finished my exercise for the morning. So channeling my inner Steven Libka finished 8 ,000 steps before 7 a .m. today. So it's a good day. Dude, that is impressive. You're an early riser to have already done 8 ,000 steps by 7 a .m. Good for you. Steven would be proud. Well, hey, before we start getting into some topics, I just want to let everyone know today will be a little bit shorter of a show than normal. We got some people traveling to Bitblock Boom, the Bitcoin conference put on by Gary Leland in Austin, which is a fantastic conference. If anyone was thinking about going to a Bitcoin conference, we definitely recommend that one. It's a great one. If you're just thinking about checking out some of the content from it, we definitely recommend you do that as well. And speaking of that, we're going to be streaming some of the content tomorrow. So there won't be a normal Cafe Bitcoin show tomorrow, but we're going to be streaming some of the Bitblock Boom content because, again, that's just a great Bitcoin only conference. So definitely check some of that out. We'll talk more about that as the show goes on. All right, where to start here, plenty of topics that I think we can just do quick hits. Peter, I'm proposing that the Fed's new inflation target be 2 .17 percent instead of 2 .0 percent, and I wanted to know what you think about that. I think it should be 3 percent or whatever number they want it to be, because that's just what they do. There's no rhyme or reason as to why they've decided that 2 percent is the benchmark other than, I guess, they figure that they can steal that much money from people. And, you know, it's not really noticeable, of course, once you live as long as I have and you've been stolen from it 2 percent a year for the last 50 years, it's very noticeable. Yeah, quick shout out to some mental math, which I'll be honest, I don't do as much anymore. I used to be good at mental math when I was a kid in school, but with calculators and Excel, I am not nearly as good at mental math as I used to be. But there is a good one known as the Rule of 72, and this is how long it takes your money to either double or to lose half of its purchasing power. So if you get 1 percent returns per year, you double your money in 72 years. If you get 2 percent returns per year, you double your money in 36 years. That's a 72 divided by 2 and so on and so on. And it works the other way, too. So if you have 2 percent inflation every year, you lose half of your purchasing power in 36 years. If you have 3 percent inflation per year, you lose half of your purchasing power in 24 years, which I guess is approximately a generation. So at 3 percent inflation, you lose half of the purchasing power in 24 years. And that's somehow supposed to be positive for all of us. I will shout out my own tweet this morning, if you guys can bear with me here for a moment, but I just was looking at Krugman and Furman and these guys talking about how they think they've arrived at 3 percent being like a better inflation target. And they're pretending like there's some some real explanations, some real rationale. And, you know, they show a bunch of charts and stats. And I can't help but think that that's probably what the Catholic Church sounded like back in the fifteen hundreds when they said, no, no, this is why you have to pay for your indulgences. It's, you know, we're not making it up. It's not just for you to line our pockets. It's, you know, it's what the religion says that, you know, this is for your benefit and we're just telling you how it is. I honestly think it's that much B .S. that they talk about 3 percent being the quote unquote right inflation target. I just don't know how they do this stuff with a straight face, quite frankly. Not not only that, John, but but what are they basing that on? You know, I mean, they've continuously taken the, you know, components out of the the tool that they use to measure what the real inflation rate is. So, you know, to to adjust it for whatever their narrative is. And so, you know, I guess the real question is, how do we in in a in a world economy and in in, you know, in this kind of complex world, how do we really, you know, measure what real inflation is? Because I don't think the numbers they're using are real inflation. And I also don't think that the other extreme people who say that we're in a, you know, 25 percent or 20 percent inflation era, I don't think that theirs is correct either. So that that's my question is, is how do you actually what metrics would would we really need to use to get a real idea of what inflation actually is? I'm going to throw my thoughts on that. I think it's actually impossible and I'm not being overdramatic. I think it truly is impossible because there is no such thing as a singular number that objectively represents, quote unquote, prices.

"Okay, so here's why I've thrown the challenge flag and I'm going to win the challenge. Here's why. Because the overly game that we play, the rules are you say something that everybody knows to be, there's only one answer, right? And you say something else, I correct you, and you get to say, oh, really? Right, which is exactly what happened. Here's the problem. Here's where you lose. Because Phil Collins wasn't just with genesis. He was solo, so the fact is that no, no, no, hold on. I'm making my case here. The fact is, is that there's not one clear cut answer. If I play any Phil Collins song, it could be genesis or it could be Phil Collins solo. There's not a clear answer. So if I correct you by saying genesis, you can't say, oh really, because it could either be genesis or it could be Phil Collins. But there's no easier. It can never be the group. Yes, because he wasn't in the group, yes. So I said, was this when he was solo or with yes. And you go, no, no, genesis. Nope. Because if I, what if I said Phil Collins? What if I said Phil Collins solo? You could have still said oh, really, right? No. Yes, you could have. Yes, you could have. If I says, no, that's Phil Collins. No, really? Because he wasn't with yes. Good question. Was this when he was solo or with yes? No. It doesn't matter. This only works fever. This only you know, you know the rules of oh really well enough to know. It's got to be a clear it'd be like if when earlier today, if you were saying we're talking about Dalton rice, let me give you an example. When we were talking about Dalton reisner earlier, if I had said, oh yeah, Dalton riser from fort Morgan and you had said, no, Wiggins, then I have you on an O'Reilly because there's only one answer. In this case, Phil Collins is either genesis or solo because there's two possibilities for Phil Collins. You can't play O really with Phil Collins. There's no, was this when he was with yes or with genesis? And play it again. Play it again. Just listen to it. Play it again. By the way, was this Bill Collins or this is with so called. Yes, was he with yes at this time? See, there it is. You said it's going to keep playing. Is this so crazy? Is this Phil Collins when he was Phil Collins or when he was with yes? Yeah. And I said, no, this is when he was genesis. I know, because he's either classic. Because I was correcting you that it was Phil Collins with genesis. Not Phil Collins. No, not even close. We go to did we go to Mike Pereira? Ed hockey? Yes. And hockey has emerged from underneath the hood. Before you make a decision, just play the whole thing. And just play the whole thing when I get him with the overly part. Go ahead. No, he's just going to hear that, by the way. Was this was this bill college or this is political Collins with yes. Yes, at this time, or was this football? Or just for Collins? You never said genesis. I'm right because I wanted to say justice from yes. But I would never have said genesis. My gosh, I mean, I crushed just take your. This is when you say, this is when if you had said this, if the music is playing, if you had said, is this when is this Phil Collins with yes? And I would have been like, no, this is with Phil Collins with genesis. Then you had me. But you established the fact that he was supposed to and I corrected you with genesis, and there were two answers. It's the same. No, really, if there are two possible answers. Exact same thing. Is this Bill Collins when he was with yes or was solo? No, no, genesis. We all know he wasn't with yes. Winner, winner, chicken. All right. Let's go to Ed hockey fever here. What do you got? To reverse and replay, there must be clear uncontroversial uncontroverted evidence that the ruling in the field was wrong. In other words, you have to be certain. Here's a ruling on the field stands. It's like in two wins. I feel like I'm two O right now. I've never liked the whole incontrovertible evidence thing. It's the way we judge it. Oh man. I feel like I'm two and O right now. I really do. Feels good. I'm waiting for this text for my wife, wait a minute, man. I had nothing to do with that. He brought that on himself. He brought that on himself. I like this text. Evans, a lot of times for you, W tonight, it didn't happen. I love it. I love it when the listeners are going with their own sound. Tonight it didn't happen. You know what though I will give you this. It was a solid effort. It was a solid effort. I think I wrote enough doubt there. I think there was a couple of times over the course of the weekend. Got in your gullet. No, because somebody brought up that they said they brought up exactly that case in order for you for you to lose or really has to be an answer that everybody knows to be true. But the thing with Phil Collins that creates the ambiguity is it Phil Collins solo or is it Phil Collins genesis and therefore just because there's two possible answers with Phil Collins, then it's a moot point because there's not one clear cut answer. The point of this, the point of this whole thing is, I mean, come on now, I made up the game. So clear cut point of this is I say something that we both know is untrue. Or you say something that we both know is untrue in hopes to get you to correct me. That's exactly what transpired. But the letter of the law. Well, I'm always going to wonder about this one, but okay, fair enough. Fair enough. Stink one, Evans, zero. Oh, I could. The good news is I still have ten months left in the year. You went zero for 22. So good. All right. We'll say if you want to live in the past. I'm like a raider fan. Fever, I hate you. That'll do it. I expect that we will raise rates a few more times this year, though, to my mind, and this is my views. The days of us raising them 75 basis points at a time have surely passed. In my view, hikes of 25 basis points will be appropriate going forward. Apache carcas view is echoed by the Dallas fed president Laurie Logan, who says the U.S. Central Bank needs to keep hiking rates but slowly, their remarks are at odds with comments from FOMC hawks, James bullard and Loretta master who believe it's too soon for a policy downshift. Bond sales have got off to a record breaking start to this year globally governments and firms have sold debt worth $586 billion in January alone. Bonds around the world have rallied this year after last year's historic route, which drove yields to their highest level since the financial crisis. This is Bloomberg. Bloomberg radio on demand and in your podcast feed. On the latest edition of the balance of power podcast Republican congressman Andy ogles on negotiating the debt ceiling. We really don't have a choice. I mean, you know, we're in inflationary period. We're in a recessionary period. And make no mistake. That was because of the government and the overspending, the trillions of dollars that have been pumped into the economy. As we move forward, we know that spending is unsustainable. And what this administration is wanting is a blank check. They want to credit card with no limit. The limit is there for a reason. And we've got to work together to start cutting this White House is going to try to drag it out, but they're doing so with the future of the American people. Isn't the definition of the debt limit a limit? Isn't that the point that we'd be establishing a new limit? Well, again, the idea of accountability is lost on the administration. Again, it just adds to the inflationary pressures. It prolongs what will be a recession. And so we know we've got to cut. And look, you know, you're going to hear reports that the sky is falling, that what are we going to do that the global market is going to crumble if we don't raise the debt ceiling. That's not true. The United States is the economic engine that drives the global economy. Our currency is the global standard. The world is going to react to what we've got to do to get our fiscal House in order. And that's what we have to do is get our fiscal House in order. What we've seen historically is year after year, we're running the government on continuing resolutions on omnibus bills, right? Instead of having a 7 ten, 15 year budget that normalizes spending over a period of time. And so one of the things that we fought for in a rules package. Okay, fine. If we need to do a CR, continuing resolution. But there's an automatic 2% cut to go along with it. And if you do it again, there's another cut. So what it does it now incentivizes Congress to do its job, which is to put forth a budget to the American people that the American people can see and

"One of the ladies actually thought she saw a log cabin with Christmas lights all decorated around it and then the more she looked at it, she thought it was a restaurant with Christmas lights and it was very inviting and she wanted to go into it and another lady Jackie riser. She actually saw Christmas trees floating across the Lake towards her and I guess if you see that, you're not going to be fearful. You're going to be very curious about it. And of course, when you get closer, you get into that, you find out that you're not looking at a Christmas situation. You're actually looking at a spaceship that's been, I guess, the sky's or made it to look like in your mind as a Christmas tree or a house decorate with Christmas lights. What else is less threatening than Christmas to youngsters? Exactly. And at the same time that they show a Christmas tree to someone, would they also show something to another person that's with that person that the other individual has no interest in so they wouldn't go toward it? I think that's a possibility. The ones I dealt with their multiple people involved was only one people at the same time and the other people were fast asleep. So I can't say what other people would have seen, although Kelly McLean mentioned years later that her brother was on his deathbed and her brother was with her in the car, the first time when she had her first encounter. And she couldn't wake him up. He was sound asleep and when she had the experience and years later she, when he was dying, his deathbed, she asked him, do you remember something funny, could you see a restaurant with Christmas lights back when the youngster on the rich route? And this was the guy that was totally bedridden could hardly move in the last dying parts of pancreatic cancer and he apparently he just shot up in bed and looked at it her and said, I don't remember that, but I remember all the slashing lakes around the ambulances. "Now, interestingly enough, I mean, I think a lot of us are really excited about Barrett Browning and thinking about what he could mean. If the Broncos did, in fact, put him as an inside linebacker. You can play outside. But Jonathan Cooper has kind of been the story of training camp in the preseason. The guys motors Unbelievable. Tell me what you thought about both those players and why do you think they're game translates to the pros? Yes, I'll start with Browning. I mean, I swear, the Broncos took like some of my most favorite players in last year's draft, and I thought Browning with his length. I mean at 63 to 40. He has this rare length and just overall size to play inside outside at either out either linebacker position and I thought he did a really good job dropping into coverage of Early regularly for Ohio State. There were times that he was in the hip pockets of titans consistent room we talked about maybe going into more of a dying defense counsel Patrick Ser tan. Having that opportunity to be on the field a little bit more to cover. Some of these tight ends were Browning If he's in the middle of your defense, says that one linebacker or a second linebacker is going to be Consistent in coverage and he can be an effective glittery comes downhill well, and I think he plays in the line of scrimmage pretty well inconsistently. So I like to sit there, and I think he might struggle at times. Everybody does as a rookie, for the most part, so there will be times that I think you'll look and say, what is this guy doing? But ultimately I think he's going to come in and he's going to have a nice career, especially for the next four or five years for The Denver Broncos. And then just with Jonathan Cooper. I mean, what 1/7 round pick what a fine he's been for them, And when we look at having that ability to play outside linebacker, he can put his hand in the dirt if you need them to do. It just feels like he can do a variety of things that most offenders. They can't do so, with the 63 frame that he has. He might not necessarily have a length that you want for the position all the time, but he's got good explosive. Get off. Quick verse there. He understands how to work his hands. And that's the biggest thing, maybe enough of asked to sort of strongest guy in the room. But if you understand your technique and your constantly working on that, hashing it out, you're going to be a consistent player for your defense, and you should become a veteran in this league for quite some time, So I like Cooper quite a bit. We'll see how it goes for him. How much playing time he actually gets. I mean, I'd be a little surprised if he was every down start or something like happened. He was part of the rotation. I think it's a great fit, and I think ultimately it's gonna be pretty successful Criminal defense. You know, another guy is going to factor into the rotations. Cadence turns safety. He's been the second best rookie here for the Broncos after Patrick Tan that they took this year, teammates rave about his football like you how he approaches things. It's just different. He approaches it kind of from the offensive mindset. And then applies that as a defensive player. What do you What do you think? The logs are not looking for Kate and Stearns. Yeah, well, I mean, I think really is we look at Jonathan Cooper, right? We talk about a guy that is going to be part of the rotation. And I think specialties is the place to start for a guy like that. You can come in and you have a key role on special teams. Whether it's pH here, take return or whatever it might be kicked off wherever you really playing. If you've got the ability to make an impact there, I think it holds Even more value. So I think that's where he's going to get a lot of opportunities to really step up and play the long term fit. Sure, I mean, if they can develop into Just an absolute makers, somebody that can have that that back half of the field for you and somebody that you can trust in that role. I think you can certainly work out. It's again more so with KJ Hamlet, I will tell you it's hard to put a bunch of stocking into something that You don't necessarily know if it's going to be a long term because he wasn't a first or second round pick. Sometimes the craziest things happen with these late round picture. He's undrafted players, so it will be the same type of deal here. And I think all right, have one more question on the rookies. No, I asked you about the quarterbacks here in the next rookie class. Quinn miners, one of Ben's favorite guys, and definitely a fun guy to talk to Certainly made some waves out there at the Senior Bowl when he had the belly out, and he was playing center and and and look, he's been good here, but he certainly still looks like a developmental guy. I think that we saw Lloyd Cushion Berry take the requisite step forward here in the off season, so bringing in the competition, I think was a very good thing really Overall. Do you think when miners is long term center? Can he be that or do you still view him as well? He's a guard. And that's probably what he's going to still translate to the NFL. Well, they certainly got a good problem to have in my personal opinion. It's not like you know, the Broncos are sitting here going egg. What do we do? I mean, we don't have anything at either guard spot or a center. I mean, you can play cushion there, there at center. You commit monthly movement at guard. It Quinn is ready to go. But you've also got you know Dalton riser who's really got five.

"Judy has got to be one of them. And i just love the way that he continued to look this. Preseason after look at the numbers weren't great in his rookie year and the drops were ugly in his rookie year and the passes flying over his head or darting into the yard in front of him. I still think he's a really talented receiver. And i think having bridgewater there is going to be good for him. I think he's going to get over a thousand yards. I think you can get your seven touchdowns ida in gets you at least eighty catches and i think that that's the floor. I think the ceiling is top twelve receiver. I'm super excited about jerry duda. I think he'd have a big year. Been talking to tj hopkinson like crazy. I'm gonna continue to talk. Tj hodkinson like crazy because this is the lions team. That's gonna trail a lot jerk off. Doesn't like to throw downfield. He's talked about how tight ends or a big part of his offense. And i think he's going to lead the lions and targets and catches receiving yards receiving touchdowns. I think he's going to basically be their number one receiver and robber woods getting matthew stafford. That's an upgrade forum. Having the the run game of henderson and michelle. I don't know how often that's going to be. How the rams role. I think they're going to throw a little more than they have in the past. I think woods is their best all around receiver. We've seen top ninety catches and thousand yards. Maybe close to twelve hundred yards never more than six touchdowns in the year. I say he breaks all those numbers and he has a career. Best season in la. Jerry judy is like dj. More around the it's the conundrum it's the same thing it's like you love. The talent more obviously is much more proven. But you're worried about maybe the targets and the quarterback play but they're only separated by twelve picks and adp. I i'm just wondering judy is going to high now. It's sixtieth overall. It was a guy. We used to take eighty something overall now at sixty. That's that's mugging. Cbs adp it. Says seventy four pumps are yeah. I'm looking at. I'm looking at nfc. So i'd be happy to take them at sixty. I'm probably gonna end up taking him out of everybody here..

I read an article was like oh rocket two articles that said oh lock and bridgewater. We're both really good. What lock was not good. Bridgewater's great luck was great and we won or last week against the vikings this week. I didn't think he was good. Yeah so expect an announcement in the next few days from i don't know fangio said they take a little longer really said the next few days and the fact that it's taking longer is is why people are reading into bridgewater because it's easy to say locked now. If you're andy dalton will start week one as we mentioned cincinnati. Cincinnati lost their rookie. Pass rusher joseph. I think it's a cy i don't know might be saying that wrong and this is able to. I kind of think the justin field is going to be the number three quarterback week. One doesn't wanna give him still. He doesn't wanna have the temptation of putting fields against the rams. Just put some back and or trailing by three touchdowns in the Oh they're going to get the smashed. Now watch the bears win. They might win. Saquon barkley will practice against new england this week very good. The shawn watson can't be interviewed by the nfl as long as he's under criminal investigation which means he can't be placed on the exemplify as long as he's under criminal investigation which means he might be eligible all season according to yahoos. Charles robinson since like a loophole. That might wanna close. Maybe but does anybody drafts. The shawn watson..

"He shoot for yeah, an hour and half either before after practice every day. Off days, Sunday mornings, whenever they're percentages weren't great at 41%, from the field, 33% from 3, but did shoot 88%. Free throw line. He was just such a volume guy, he offered 17 shots per game. I felt like he adjusted to his, like, crazy Pace at times, which shows that his catch-and-shoot percentage is the 67th percentile, what being guarded wage higher than 50% being unguarded. Cuz he was just used to, like, having a hand in his face, kicking out, taking a fade away, three, he his body just became prone to wanting a guide Challenger rather than taking an unguarded shot. There's going to be some offensive. Lincoln teams that dig back into the tape, put eyes on these workouts and he makes thirty three, three days in a row and just see the wage positives in the ability to be a bench type score higher than 28th. Oh yeah, he's going higher than 28. Like he just is there's no question about that. I would imagine on the Maharaj. From somewhere in the top 20. Right? Something that range he's yeah he's going to go somewhere in the top twenty I think for sure. I don't I don't really have like I'm not going to make a case against that I think that you're absolutely right in terms of what I wrote in the draft guide, I'll just kind of like share like you know gets most of his pockets off the jumper, extremely deep range, beyond the NBA line. Absolutely is a real, mid-range game, good elevation on the jumper, clean off the couch, great Rhythm on the jumper shoots directly off the top with little wasted motion when right at the college 3-point line does need a bit of an exaggerated ball, dip, generate, power, and Rhythm when extended beyond the college 3-point line, but the fact that he's already as smoothly as off the Hop when at that line portends, well, for his NBA development as he gets older and stronger to me of a difficult shot maker that plays at his own pace and doesn't really seem to notice the contest from the defender..

"Johnson comes off the bench, early in the season, doesn't quite make the impact that we're all expecting moves in broadcast immediately has 27 points in a game by the end of a year. He's, you know, looking okay, he's their most confident guy. He's getting points this year. If you go back through their NCAA tournament run like he was I think double figures and most of those games. Like I keep I keep going back to that a little bit and definitely different players. Don't get me wrong, but for what their role is, they are a bit undersized. Yep. Misir little is more of a true Wing who's like more toward the four side of the spectrum than like the two, right? And that's just athletically. I mean, wage peon doesn't have the athleticism problems, but again, kiyone right now is more toward the three side of the spectrum than the two side of the Spectrum. In terms of his ball-handling shooting Etc. And he's a Founder size. The six-foot-five were like 6 7 and 1/2 wingspan to do that. So I'm not saying that like they're the same players, they're very different guys, very different roles off for everything. I just keep coming back to that in my mind and I keep coming back to the fact that I think teams at the end of the day for the most part fall, back on the tape that they've seen off and often times the risers that we see in the pre-draft process. It's the guys it's the guys who have that, really strong tape and showcase themselves in the pre-draft process showed It's always been there. It's not the guys that like didn't show it in college and then move up in the NBA draft. You know what I mean? Like am I making sense when I say the New York, a lot of sense, because my kind of argument is the athleticism, the the verticality of his jumps all that, he's got popped more workouts and it's certainly will because when you're kind of like training for that, just individual drink different than playing within the flow of an offense..

"I think that's probably enough on derenne particularly. But one thing we wanted to kind of shift this to now is the way that Biggs have been used in the playoffs in kind of discussing birth. And you know, almost in that parameter in a way and the way that it interests me is that, you know, we saw the effect of them at a bio and Anthony, Davis last year lease or playing second fiddle to get their teams to the final. As the second best player on those teams we've seen nucleo, could step up in a big way. We've seen Joel embiid step up in a big way again, playoffs, even with his knee injury, we have seen Deandre ayton be exceptionally effective so far for the Phoenix Suns. Although I think that a big part of life is more the way that teams have to defend Chris, Paul and Devin Booker and pick-and-roll like DeAndre is basically getting everything force-fed to him at the rim and it's on DeAndre that he's doing a great job of Rimrock and putting that pressure on the defense. And I think it says a lot of how valuable that can be if you would just do that every single night but at the same token, he's really been dead. Excellent throughout the course of the playoffs. So I don't want to say we're getting back to the point where things are valuable, I think Biggs have always been valuable. It's just something you have to be like a top-10 big in the NBA to be valuable. And if you are a top ten big in the NBA, who can do a lot of different things, like Nikola jokic, being one of the two offensive players on planet Earth or bam adebayo being able to switch, everyone defensively. Anthony Davis being like the best help defender in the NBA. DeAndre ayton being able to rim run an elite-level, protect the rim reasonably well switch onto the perimeter and guard bigger players. There's just a lot that all of those guys can do. If you can be a versatile multi talented, big you are still extremely valuable, it's just that the replacement level for these more limited Biggs I think is much much higher than it used to be, but it's more of a celebratory Victory lap a little bit. And I'm a dog. Joke that agents of five men probably rejoiced with the yogesh MVP award and and maybe guys take different looks at player like Sandra Monica should really from Seton Hall. We've we talked about at length, we talked about cars at length, it's a recent C league and I'm just curious, how many kind of copy cats are out there and see the success of these bags and maybe don't dismiss it and take it more mature consideration when you're picking maybe it's a second round. Maybe it's not 10th overall, but how those guys fit into the system play? I still. You mean a really good point about Booker and Chris, Paul, really setting the table for Thursday, but we can't take away the production levels that he's had totally, no, I, I totally agree with that. I think that the big thing is being able to do a lot of different things. Well, you can't just be a rim protector rimrunner anymore. You need to be able to guard away from the basket. You need to be able to make plays with the ball in your hand, at least in like dribble, handoff sand off of movement. Like you can't just be like Clint capela. Yep. Is no longer just a rim running big. Like he was in Houston, like he can occasionally hit like a short Corner read, he can run, dribble, handoff and he's really good and ball-screen scenarios off with Trae young. He's switchable enough. He hits the barometer of being switchable defensively. You know, someone like me, I mean like your pitches off..

Is Laziness Real?

"Susan kemp has this task. Do you think laziness is really a thing. She writes for the last year. I've been debating of laziness is real or just some concept we created in order to. I don't know protestant guilt trip ourselves doing things. I like. susan already say that someone doesn't do their homework. Maybe they have an undiagnosed sleep disorder or are chronically sleep deprived and that's why they can't focus maybe their diet is off so they're tire. Maybe they're just tired because school starts at seven thirty. Am and science says. That is stupid. Actually i think science says that early school start is bad for some people but not others are different krona types yes well. In general though adolescents tend to be later risers so the science would say that starting school for most high school students at seven. Thirty is dumb okay. So she's right on that. I'm wrong in that she continues. Maybe they live in a poor socioeconomic situation where there's either a lot of noise at home or not a stable place to work etc. Maybe they're peers. Don't value education even if they opt for video games isn't that more lake dopamine zero Rather than pure laziness. So i thought i would ask. She writes and i find this to be an amazingly interesting question. What's the answer. I love his incomes question. I think that it depends on what you mean by laziness if she is asking. Dui laziness is really a thing or a protestant guilt trip. Who's no way you're gonna say that laziness isn't real. You're the grit lady. Well when you call somebody lazy what do you think we really mean. I think it means that we don't think they're eager to put in the work. What we observe is they're not working and we are inferring. Were assuming that they don't want to put in the work. And then she's listing all these other reasons that could account for the scene behavior. Maybe they can't put in the work. Maybe circumstances are conspiring against them. There's a judgment that we're passing on someone when we call them lazy. That is about their motivation.

"Yeah that's the think. Age my matter a little bit here. I don't know that it's a dynasty question that's true i think it's just a keeper for next year. I'm probably henry around for right. I mean that's just just makes a little more sense to take the value of its non. Pbr that makes it even easier. If it's still think i'd take the value and it's it's they're like a. I guess about a year apart. I don't know exactly when there birthdays are and let's let's if you're looking into bag. The wallet says that s m effort is definitely derrick. Henry and not cook is that a pulp fiction joke. There's no ass in that. In that line now i actually have a pulp fiction poster in my bedroom horse wash slow. No adam is absolutely the guy who owns t shirt to a concert. Do first of all. I get on jamie all the time for using jeff's of the office what he doesn't watch the office so it's very unlikely to do something like that. But i did have my sister bobby. A bunch of wall stuff from target and that was just happened to be one of them. It was cool. It was cool. Go to sleep every night with people pointing a gun at you. It was really unsettling ari from read grade. The trade i would be trading adam trautmann and diontae johnson for tj hopkinson and dynasty. Trauman and. deonte for hopkinson. I think i like the hopkinson side better. Because i think he's got a chance to be a a steady fantasy tight end with a chance to be very good fantasy tighthead. I'm a fan. I'm a traveling fan too. I just i just wonder is a really going to be this good diontae johnson year after year after year. I mean the thing with him is like there are times. When ben roethlisberger has is for nobody else he'll go through like story like to. Hillary drives every game where he just consistently hits him. Five six times Well throw that him he dropped right throws he hits him if he cuts his drop rate in half. You know you're talking about probably ninety catches eleven hundred yards. I think there is a lot of potential given his role in that offense and on the other hand. We don't know who has quarterbacks going being twenty twenty two and that matter all three of these guys have quarterback changes coming at some point in near future because god is not the long term answer in detroit. Unless he's great. Which could be the saints are going to get a new quarterback at some point and clearly. The steelers are gonna get a new quarterback at some point they could get upgrades..

"Welcome back jared cook time. Is there anything else. Well how about how about the phillip lindsay citing david johnson. Why david johnson had a really good year. A he's running back. he's looking for a job. A team offer job. I mean i'm sure other teams offered a job. Why go to a team. That's a sinking ship. Where there's two other running baxter. He got so much money. Well you got something i look. He was going to get that from anywhere else. I guess. Not maybe maybe not the only option then kudos denver. Taking out those billable to him. But i mean. I can't imagine that was the only job offer. The texas creators. I wasn't in the league five years ago. The texas have signed so many players to one year deals and it's just their capital there in capital and they held the word cab out of it. That's true well. How much does he eat into david. Johnson's production johnson so he got hurt really early in one game if you remove that. He was on pace for fourteen hundred yards at ten touchdowns and forty eight catches. The catches are a little deceiving. Third of them came in one game but that was without. Dwight johnson duke. John's not there anymore. So the problem is they're going to trade this shawn watson and they're gonna have a bad quarterback situation you have david. Johnson is the best running back on the team. You have the second running back who they signed already in mark ingram has relationship with the head coach from previous. Stop that they were just baltimore. And now you have lindsey coming into going to have a bad quarterback situation a bad team. That's not going to score points. They're going to be chasing points all the time. He's not gonna go low touchdowns. This is just a terrible situation. All around jeff wilson or david johnson. Both i'll take wilson. I'll take most handles over johnson. How about well. Actually you know what angle to this that. I probably should've considered more a right now. I will say this though. If john watson i'll take david johnson over those. I don't see david shawn watson thing and we don't even know if he's going to be playing. Obviously we have to see this situation. Plays out david johnson Well melvin gordon. Gotta be ahead of david johnson now at this point to see what they do we all how. 'bout kareem hunt or david johnson carry month. Kareem the dream okay. Johnson's going to be one of those running backs. They'll say okay fine. I'll draft him to be my rb two. Because i went and a bunch of different directions earlier in the draft..

Though dave to be sick of what ingram gave them last year golladay can do a lot of what ingram you know. Hey let's draft outfits and move on. I mean it's just so weird to pay him like an average of seven million dollars a year i if he opted anyway for cholera for a number to the patriots debut. Ingraham out of your top twelve right. Yes he is outside of my top twelve. I can't view him as a as a starter fantasy tight end to begin the season. You want draft late and put him on your bench if you get the opportunity. Yeah sure maybe he's got a shop. He led the team in targets last year. Had just over one hundred. I wanna say one hundred nine targets out that there's no way he's getting there this year. Golladay plays sixteen games. Jamie you haven't seventeenth is that that's not updated but that was before the signing so i wasn't in on evan engram to begin with chris. What about you. Evan ingram haven't upgraded updated it yet. I had him fifteenth before the signing so can't imagine he's going to be any higher that it's hard to get excited about him. It's impossible to be excited about darius slayton shepherd is only usable as a bench receiver. Npr because i think he can get you the five for fifty with the couple touchdowns every now and then sake one's going to do is thing as a top twenty to twenty five fantasy receiver. I like him better. Non pbr. pierre and daniel jones is a sleeper saquon. Barkley kenny golladay or juju. For sure dude. You for me all day and golladay for sure and non. But i think in p. p. r. I think i've got a higher but it's not a lot okay. How about how about. We never talked about tyler. Boyd or kenny. Golladay gallon on them both. I think i'll take golladay. Let me see. I can pull it up. I have got a couple spots hiring. Pbr and a lot. Higher in non brain cooks pretty for apartment. ten spots apart between gao. Cranach's folks in both looks. I've got golladay okay. Well let's take a break more to talk about when we come back including phillip lindsay going to houston what this means for david. Johnson will. We don't have to talk much about that got. I think it's time to really probably start talking a little bit about the shawn watson. It's tough to know what to say there. But you know it's it's something and perryman bef- allowed to say about him. Keelan cole. To the jared cook. I think we talked about. Jared cook much. "I mean it doesn't even come close with people were really interested in phillip lindsay or mark. Ingram now those guys are teammates. It's drake. I hate more than jon. Gruden right now. All roberts i give you another one although it could change is james conner in the nfl team yet. It's true obviously it's gonna change. Someone's gonna sign him but do you really think he's gonna land in a role at this point where it will be a feature back kris which frazier running back fell the most. I mean know. I don't know if any of the actual free agents fell. I think we've seen i've moved myles gaskin james robinson and I'm josh jacobs. Obviously down because of who signed there. I don't think you know. Carlos hyde and move robinson down i did. I think it's mostly just james robinson's not going to get ninety percent of the snaps. Everybody had going in right but when i was projecting him i wasn't expecting like i don't think is going to have a huge role but i think he can probably get to ninety carey's i love really small. That's a really small role. Ninety nine carries like. We're not gonna care about carl. I don't think you guys are actually saying different things personally. I just feel like jamie jamie anticipated. This and chris didn't make the adjustment until it happened right. I'm basically ranking based on what we know at the moment and what we knew then was james. Robinson didn't have obvious competition now. He has someone who can take twenty percent of the carries away. And that's a lot more than there was last. So where is he by the way and your ranking fifteen still. He's he's still fairly. Hi jamie james robinson like twelve or thirteen. But he was. He was like sixteen fifteen sixteen before. Okay so you because you were anticipating something were. They're not thirty year old carlos side. Right you're still a chance at somebody. Good absolutely absolutely but if this is if this is the best they do thank you right. Okay all right so last question here. Who's the best sleeper right. Now for shod perryman tyrel williams of the lions. I'm going with guys whose teams who are. Okay you'll see mike. Williams of the chargers lost hunter. Henry start with big names. they're all sleepers jalen. Rager of the eagles shy perriman tara williams might regular. It's not even close. I don't know even be the first one drafted of this group. I don't even know if tarot williams and bershad perriman will get drafted right. I think it's between mike williams and jalen rager. It's not even close to mike. Williams has proven. He's a good player. You're talking about a first round pick on a team that has nothing around and besides the tight end and guy mike williams who has at least you know an all pro guy on his on his side.
