Christina Coleman - Beyond Bitcoin

"What was your take on. Bitcoin in terms of was it. Like is it a money to use in also the underlying technology of blockchain that you like what. How different are you know. What what what interests you about bitcoin. Or or blockchain lesson. I'm going to be completely honest with you. People in america. We don't have the best history. Okay and a lot of the wealth. Doubts been created out to the giant corporations through these banking families was created off the back of my ancestor. So like i'm. I'm not going to sugar coat that so for me. It's this is a way for to put power back into the hands of people and to put value back into the hands of people that we don't need to go through third party so one that's like you know that's awesome. I believe I think the flip side of that is in. Listen i'm i'm showing my real self a there's also a cynical part. Where was this just a way to get everybody on the same page and then bankers come in and try to take over anyway. Which i've been reading in the federal reserve so so yeah it's it's just one of those things where just like it's it's is gonna take the world by storm and rather know even if it's a little bit about it then just be got the wayside exactly so it's an opportunity read. I think for all of us to have a self sovereign kind of ownership in our own. You know type of currency as opposed to always obviously county on the dollar but bitcoin gives us opportunities to own our own stuff. You take control back. And i kind of really risa right. And the fact that like you know this this world is so it's like a universe. I constantly growing his concert expanding. And so i like you can literally have a product or service and create your own blockchain for people to use an exchange with you. And i think that's really dove and so what's your what's your take over the last. I guess couple years so you caught win at the hype which we all did. That's when we kick this kick off our news venture around that time in and we were kind of like all right a lot of lot of at the time. The narrative was scams and fraud on the technology. Pardon not delivering product and code in our thought was like there's something here We decided to invest in it a knowing that we were so early on all this risk and you know not sure of the direction. In kind of the the infrastructure of blockchain had was just forming although blockchain in general the components to blockchain chromatography and mike distributed systems is been around for for for decades. So what has been your experience. I guess from from then until now and two thousand seventeen was the hype like completely tanked. What were you going to do. What kind of emotions like were you. Just still intrigued. Were like you know what i'm going to stick with. Obviously you did. I'm gonna stick with this and here. We are in twenty twenty right so was it was up and down and all around. And now we're having this crazy bull run and and we'll get into the trading competition after like your experience there but what's been going through your mind over the last three years. Sure i mean literally. It wasn't until this year that i picked picked up and reinvesting in bitcoin rain and it more so just came from like over the past years. I will check my coin based and things like that. But i had other things going on so i wasn't actively looking at it but for me and just even the past like since i've really been trading more so looked at stocks have done stock options trading and things like that but now it's like okay that that banking world is finicky right now so Like what can i. What can i invest in. And i started like re reinvesting in bitcoin and just reading up on bitcoin crypto l. and Looking at the other blockchain technologies that came out and And even just looking at tracking every day. Just being able to actually see those movements. Like i remember jessica thirteen thousand now. Zeman is between like nineteen seventeen thousand pasco a day soldiers. It is even cool to dishes. Visually be a part of seen especially the projections over the next couple of years. So it's just cool to even like visually be a part of that and and know that the shifts are happening. I'm like watching happen and being a part of it happen.

JRPG Report Episode 144 - The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Black First Details - burst 02

"Hello friends welcome back to the show. This is the g. rpg. Report episode one hundred and forty five little bit weird this week and we knew it was going to be with christmas eve falling on our normal release date and of course christmas the next day and there must situation My little girl's birthday being the day after christmas so yeah we get a bang bang. Bang three a craziness there. Obviously just mitt that there was really no time to reporter Record a podcast. Even before christmas was just too hectic so We're recording this on saturday. The twenty seventh just a couple days left in twenty twenty. Goodbye rents But we've got a lot of cool things to talk about today. I kinda wanna wrap up all the stuff that we've missed as it's been nine days since our last pockets. No i'm sorry that's not even right. That is fuzzy. Math is been eleven days since our last podcast. So we've got a few things to go over That have popped off. Since then. And i wanna kinda look look forward to sometime this week. Mean jordan are going to get together and kind of talk about What games we really loud from. Twenty twenty maybe even discussed some Game of the year options and then look forward to twenty twenty one as Right off the bat. We got a bunch of games coming out in the beginning of the first the new year. We got to tell you rods two. You've got bravely default to you've got he's nine And the newly Confirmed for some of five strikers. Just a name The the big big ones I'm sure there'll be others. That will be unfortunately lost in the in the way. So we're going to record that sometime this week and In lieu of any news breaking. I may just make that part of the normal podcast unsure on that. But let's get into it. I hope you guys had a wonderful christmas holiday I didn't have any games that i particularly wanted that. We're already out. So i just kind of asked Asked the parents for Email confirmation that beginning Today risa to when it comes out on january twenty six that was cool and i did end up much too. Many of your delight. Hopefully i'm finally going to take a dive into these series. I picked up. Yee's eight for only twenty dollars on the ps story. I could not refuse as the physical version just refuses to ever go down in price so i figured this was by far the best opportunity. Get in on. What many consider to be a very very good. Jr pg and at some point. I'll be playing. It don't really know when that's going to be but that's enough rambling We did have fell. Calm day Twenty twenty winter addition and we got a few tidbits of information about the new legend of heroes. Toddle kiro no koseki if you notice the thumbnail for this Podcast are the two newest main characters is a third as well but these They dig use some high-rise resolution images of the to unsure why the third one was kind of like ashaari pow We'll get you later but still no names for these two characters but we do have a bit of information stuff. You see that image. There's a couple other on our facebook and twitter feed of those two characters while they are. I say have that trails feel to them. I do kind of agree with what president condo said last time that at mediate Glance they don't appear to be trails characters. And i believe that lies in the fact that they are from calvert So they're going to look a little bit different and we'll talk about that in just a little bit. These illustrations were drawn by katsumi. Nama and the other characters are from alcom. Like i said the character's names were not announced to this game is coming out sometime in twenty twenty one in japan so those were the images. There were some other ones as well. If you'd like to see all those. I did put up a slide show video on our youtube channel. So you can check those out if you don't feel like clicking through pictures of via the website here is what we do know and i will just read this to you as this is the about for the new age of heroes karoo new koseki beyond the blue sky ahead of flashing light a land. A dawning resides cuba. There's no spoilers going on in here. This is all preliminary stuff in the news story arc. So we don't have to worry about that type of stuff the ladder this latter half of the trails. There is about to begin. The setting moved to the calvert republic in two thousand and twenty one foul calm release. Legend heroes kernigan the latest entering the trail serious as its fortieth anniversary rumors of work. The calvert nation is a multi ethnic nation experiencing unprecedented economic growth. Brought about by post war reparations. In a corner of the capital of a huge nation were immigration issues bringing about political instability. Okay well maybe. There are some spoilers in here okay. let's just get to the best. I'm sorry i read that. And i didn't think about it until just now okay. The command style action time bow system. You didn't previous trails. Titles has been revamped and that's going to set up an from a couple people. Let's just see what they said. Seamlessly transitioned from action oriented field battles to turn based commands battle to turn based command battle systems while making use of the unique elements the sixth generation combat or meant would try to pronounce his last time. I'm not sure how it is x. I f. r. x. i. p. h. a. z. Feel in a ballots to evolve from the previous trails titles. Okay so what does that mean. I don't. I don't know i really don't know how to had say seamlessly transition from action oriented field battles to turn based command battle systems I i mean obviously there's a bit of an extra element when you strike the enemies on the field in order to go into the turn based battle i. I need to see this in action to really know what they're even beginning to talk about would just have to wait and see You will feature many elements you laws. It's setting including a topics system which enabled together until such topics by communicating with. Mpc's out towns tra- gate situations in your favor when you act as a spray gun and that is the The character it's basically a detective. But they're calling them spring and alignment flame system. In which characters three alignments great and chaotic fluctuate depending on your own style influencing various status allies and adversaries and even scenario developments please look forward to allege heroes lowest entrance toasters depicted enrich expression by thumbs new original ingen. So that's that's pretty cool Here's what how they set up the situation and I get. I don't wanna get too much into this. The to emit the two people that you see in the image the one is the one call the speaker those are they say sometimes detective somedays negotiators and other days as bounty hunters. They're up for any job from any client. That's pretty cool And then the other one is Say to be a school girl wearing uniform. Prestigious school visits a rundown building located in old town in cowards capital. So that's the setting that's beginning of it. You can check out those images. Like i said there's a third character in the images as well with the two swords on his back and some long hair but we don't have any details. There is a battle scene that shows what looks like to be a craft or an art powering up but that from that snippet it does look to be turn based. So don't i'm so confused as to what to make. But i'm certainly excited about this one. But the lack of details and the promise of something new is leading to some question marks popping up. And i don't necessarily love that idea but it is what it is and until we learn a little bit more. It's just going to be speculation Unfortunately though that wasn't the only bit of information. And i'm sure we'll have a bunch more but Foul calm day twenty twenty winter. Also let us know about and this is not really affecting us as much. But they did. Say that a hatch marco koseki which is the one before this one and after cold steel four Clouded leopard entertainment will release a switch. Pc esteemed version of the game Sometime in summer. Twenty twenty one in japan in asia. I'm nearly positive. That's the same company that handled The transition for coastal three and four to the top of my head. So i came out for. Ps four in japan on august twenty seventh. So you know nearly a year later. They're talking summer to get that Switch pc version now. It handles the asian side of this and i s america handles the translation available. At least they have for the past two games In the cold still series in the west still no confirmation that that translation is ongoing. That have to assume that it is unless it's being handled by other parties I mean exceed did do the first two trills of cold steel games but at imagine that they are going to do this hedge amari as well and as soon as i hear something about that it will happen. It's certainly a good thing that this is happening and It could lead to a speedier at least for these games in the west. But like i said still no information on unfortunately. The last thing that they talked about was not briefly. Mentioned this last time the natto. noca- seki game. That is coming out in japan for For playstation four. This was the old Two thousand twelve least. Psp action rpg though some new details and images kinda showing the ps p version versus the Ps four version of it They're sent opposites gonna run at sixty frames per second on. Ps four with more vibrant graphics. Not being obviously these are things that you'd want to have updated from an old old system user interface options One thing that i thought was very interesting. And i'm not to say what they say. This game is not connected to the trails game. However the main character's name is now utah herschel now you trails players especially cold. Steel will know towa. Her last name is hershal So what they're they say there's no connection but then there's a connection is the protagonist and a boy from that island who attends and academy in saint elise. Those aren't you know aren't names that i recognized the from the trails series so it is very very interesting and i would be would like to know what that connection is at kind of read through it. You can read through the tales. Like i said before i am lower on the percentage scale To say of this game was actually going to make it over here or not. I if i if you say your day is gonna come today out outs. Action say no but would just have to wait and see. The original game did not look super impressive. So this isn't a game that i'm all that excited about to begin with but we'll have to. We'll just have to wait and see if that indeed happens for a lot of switch owners the next. Gop g they will more than likely be picking up is going to be bravely default to gain closer and closer to that february twenty. Sixth rolled wide release date friend square annex released new trailer for it albeit in japanese and have still not seen an english version of this yet so it talks all well. Supposedly it talks about wiz walt. The country established by those mejia's. They did it themselves to studies. The magic research institute But the the real kicker with this one and you can see it. Is this places overgrown. It looks like it was built kind of in the middle of it are on top of a giant tree. And there's just this tree just going right up through entire town is really cool again Trailer is how long was trailer of about three and a half minutes. Like i said in japanese so you can't really tell what's going on but it is kind of cool to see some of the visuals in action Four it but if you're elected shake those game out for yourself you can check out the demo for it It is now live on the east shop and One who feels the demo before its release will even pick up one hundred mine. Intendo platinum points here is the Short official description of the demo experienced the games at risk and reward system character strategy and stunning visuals in the latest braley default to final demo in this demo. The games four men characters are already other journey with jobson abilities at their disposal. I downloaded this. The other night. as if getting the switch away from my kid was hard enough with minecraft previously The kid did pretty good for Christmas and her birthday. And i now had to contend with her own copy of animal crossing so she and my wife can play two switches and who copies of animal crossing so they can will each other's islands. I know she also got the Spyro trilogy which. I really enjoyed those games growing up. So i can't wait to play those with her and relive those moments and she picked up mario maker to so. I'm not seeing that switch for a while. Maybe once she goes to sleep. If i don't have anything to play eck fired that demo. I would like to see how it is shaping up as will If you've got some free time and you're looking for d'you monster hunter rise. There are to say ten videos in total. Let's do a little no here. One two three four seven eight nine ten eleven twelve. There's twelve total. So i check. They were they were released in two packs. I take them all and made them into six long. Because it only about a minute minute long. So if you're one to check out some of the different weapons they go into monster hunter rise. You can do that going from Things like the switch axe gun lance hammer sorted shield heavy light bogue gun. Land is long swords and even the hunting horn. You check all those out over on our youtube channel. J rpg report dot com. You can also see a new second official trailer for the action. Rpg magnum lord Still no western released on this one yet. It is coming out in japan on march. The eighteenth for playstation four and switch said. This is the second trailer for the game. It looks pretty cool. I do hope that they bring this one. Over is from publisher. D three Developer felicia quite heard of them before. But still no word on it. I really hope they bring this over because it does pretty fun but yeah nothing Nothing quite yet. i'll go over some of these ones. That are just videos. There's a fifteen minutes of new footage from christ tales. This is previewing the present and future game play of it Remember this game got pushed back to early. Twenty twenty one. That's just the winner that don't into it's been Hit with a couple delays here lately. Not sure how much. Everything's pandemic related at this point but how much they just wanna fine tune things in. How much is really needed to make this work. Obviously you're doing with a system of past present and future while stuff can go wrong and working Just the way that you would like it to work New genesis the fantasy star online. To almost say reboot but definitely the new version of there is the opening movie for it and you should probably check this out. If we're looking at over fifty minutes of new footage as well mostly the character creation for its but this opening movie You know typically when you see these opening movies. They're using a pre rendered scenes. This was actually created using parts of the in game graphics. Engine which looks amazing Definitely if you're looking forward to this you should check it out sometime in twenty twenty. One is the release date Four it but again. This is one of those. Well not one of those but this is the faa gain. That i'm kind of just don't understand why it's not on playstation four. In the west it is in japan. But you've got to either play on xbox or on pc here in the west doesn't make a ton of sense but there's just things like that in this world that we gotta kinda get used to them. I guess we got three bits of sky news this week. i is. You can check out the fourth official trailer for six defiance of destiny I believe there's an english. There's an english version for this out. Now you can check it out. There was originally came out. There was just a japanese version but the english version shows off of really cool voices that they've got for the game. They got some good voice. Talent in this one in Very fitting for the series especially the little reincarnated pug services is awesome It's about seven or review of the game If you are curious about what's going on in this one changes that they've made this series. You will definitely want to check it out. Of course it doesn't come out in the west until summer. Twenty twenty one. Japan is going to get it in right about a month on january. The twenty eighth The other day actually. This was on christmas eve that this news broke New punchy released some new information screenshots for the game featuring and i hope i get these names right la haro aetna and flown Those were the original characters from the original the sky and they are saying that Basically once you beat the game you can Play a scenario with these original characters in it so kind of a you know. They're not in the main game this something post post content but the fact that they're in their would open the door to other characters popping up from other games as well. So that's a cool thing The world inside of an item. I m worlds have mended. Detailed in this article on worlds are divided into several fours slash layers and the items level increases with every four. That you clear says weapons become stronger as they level up. You can clear there either. Worlds to power them up once. An item is leveled up. You can get the same item at the same level from then on pretty cool feature of the sky series all these images i took input into a slide show. You can check that out on our youtube channel so you can dispatch companions into item worlds to research them. There's a new team attack system with up to ten characters in it. That's a pretty cool feature. New enemies were detailed There's a new horsemen. That's pretty crazy. So here's the Previous protagonist Oh here we go says not only will hear from. Our doctors appear the protagonist in heroines of the sky. Two three four and five will also appear in three d. The protagonist and heroines wilburs as downloadable content sometime after the launch of disguise six. So there's a from the sky to or i don't know in timika these pronunciations. I'm at risk of offending people. I understand how they're supposed to be pronounced So yeah they're gonna add them in there as as post content deal see. That's the type of thing. Like i would think you'd be okay with paying for because that's obviously not a part of disguise six. They are previous games characters in new content. So take how you feel about. Dlc that is that's one thing i think is is no k To do speaking of all those previous disguised characters they are all assembled in the rpg. Mobile game And we got news from bolt chain games that they will release worldwide the mobile version the sky arc in spring. Twenty twenty one Unless you're in these countries in the no fast if you are but we are a western primarily focused podcasts. So you're not going to get in china taiwan hong kong macau singapore malaysia or korea Sorry don't i don't know why maybe that is. Just it's gonna come out later. Maybe there's some rules preventing that From happening if we're interested in getting it on a closed beta for the game. They will have one for canada. Brazil australia and the philippines sometime in january so really happy to see this thing go worldwide. There was a global announced trailer for it This came back It came back in march of twenty nineteen in japan. Had a whole bunch of issues with it and It was de definitely the this game was deadly responsible for some financial hardships for nippon ichi. And they finally got up. Right obviously gotta writes the point. Now they're really to bring this thing out worldwide As far as the gotcha game or not. I don't know if i recall. I think it was paid game. But i should probably ended up before speaking about it. But i'm sure there's elements in there but hopefully this is a Not another one of those kind of like. We've we've like. We've got enough of those already know ankara today. So in place of it you get one last plea for listener support We've had a few people signed up for but really not a whole lot of response so I kind of said you guys. I would do this to the year. See what we got and move forward I would love to have listener support. Not have the need for ads but it is just a reality of life and we may just see what that happens. If i get a bunch outpouring of support here after listening to this. I may reconsider. But at this point at least in the a few few adds to offset the cost of Of the time spent during the podcast hope to understand and hope you are okay with that excited much. Supreme Court wary of letting states regulate prescription drug 'middlemen'

"The Supreme Court began its 2020 term this week today, a case involving prescription drug prices. The issue is whether federal law prevents states from regulating middlemen known as pharmacy benefit management managers or PM's. Here's a minute of the oral argument. This is the Chief Justice John Roberts, questioning the Arkansas solicitor General Nicholas Brownie. Counsel. Your basic point, it seems to me is that the law regulates drug prices. That's certainly the purpose of it. But what it doesn't say anything about drug prices instead. It talks about what plans have to pay for benefits, the methodology of determining the amount to be paid the timing and procedures for updating payment schedules. The dispute resolution process is remedies. It has things like authorizing, declining to dispense. I mean, at the end of the day, all this might have an impact on drug prices. But it seems to me that it's very different on DH. Those differences really do Goto what Risa is Trying to regulate Your Honor, I I think at the end of the day, the one thing that affects plans and in fact, the only way in which that Arlo actually affects plans, it might alter what plans ultimately paid. Our law does not apply directly to plans are laws directed at PB EMS. On DH. What pm's pay pharmacies. So in that sense, the only effect on a plan or the only effective plan might see might be the possibility that at the end of the day, it might pay a little bit more. But that's the same thing that was true in travelers and travelers when New York regulated what commercial insurers or pain hospitals with the third charges This court acknowledged that the odds were that those surcharges would be passed on to the plans and that might affect how the the benefits packages that the plane might choose to offer. It might influence the choice of administrator but What the court emphasized, is at the end of the day that that's just cost, and it might influence shopping decisions. But ultimately, what's important is it's not dictating substantive planned decision making, and the same thing is true here. We haven't dictated how plans resolve anything. We haven't dictated playing decision making about what to provide or how to provide it or anything like that. All of the mechanisms that your honor referred to really are mechanisms that are PBM mechanisms. The plan. I don't have any insight into any of that stuff and again From a plant's perspective, the only impact will be on prices just like it was true and travelers.

Mint Mobile launches cheap unlimited cell plan

"You know. So many of us per stretched and we're trying to make our budgets last through the month at a time that for many people incomes are down. So one area I'd like you to look at is how to attack your monthly expenses and one that a lot of just pay because that's what we pay is what we pay for cell phone service. So I want to give you a couple of choices on cell phone service that comes with unlimited data from two different companies one geared towards an individual paying for his or her own bill. In the second for people that are joining together with others. On a plan to save money. Let's start with the one for individuals. There's a company that runs really cute TV ads called met mobile. There was. So as a reseller, they bake pass the from the big three cell phone players, and then they sell their own branded service under the meant mobile name. Meant. Mobile is doing a deal right now on unlimited data plan where you've got unlimited talk text and data for a flat thirty dollars a month. But there's some hoops you have to jump through. So let's say you WanNa do this thirty dollars a month plan you could be on one that's significantly higher with others if you're doing unlimited data. What you do is you pay meant mobile for the first three months when you port your number and so you give them ninety bucks and it covers your cell phone service for the next three months. You hit the end of those three months. If you're happy with mobile, you can then by the next year from them at the thirty dollars a month. So, Ye end up having to give them three hundred sixty bucks. But then you know you have no cell phone bill for the whole next year is for the quality of the network with mobile. I never get complaints about that. Now that I've said that Oh hear from people who have complaints, but it is an alternative that can give you freedom from worrying about data overages. or data caps and no you're paying a flat thirty bucks. The other alternative is from verizon discount on a lot of people don't know verizon has a discount operator and people known for years. that. T mobile has metro. And Cricket is at and T.'s discounter but horizon acts like visible doesn't exist. But visible does exist is verizon's discounter and they have a plan called party pay. It's designed for two people together three people together or four people together. On a cell phone plan, but with a twist. If you just get a buddy or a relative or whatever to join you on visibles party Pay Plan Each of you were billed individually. So one person doesn't have to pay the whole bill and then chased the other people to pay them their portion of the bill each month. All they got to do is stay with visible together on their party. Pay Plan. So, two people get unlimited talk unlimited taxed unlimited data for thirty five dollars a month each three people, thirty dollars a month each and you got four people together twenty five dollars a month each. Again this is RISA NHS discount honor. You won't see it on Verizon's website. If you went to a verizon store, they wouldn't know what you were talking about. If you call verizon customer no service, they wouldn't know what it was. You have to go to the website visible dot com. And then you're in the money in the savings on for is network on a variety plan, but from their discount brand called visible.

"I'm some good this. Really some good stuff that has happened to me. Is Let. Me See where can I start? Well I got an internship at the V. A which was more placement for internship 'cause I'm going into my third semester my second year. that. I'm going into my second year third semester of social work my MSW. So to get my number, one pick for the internship is amazing because I feel like I'm GonNa. Learn so much there. Of course, we got the Sisterhood shares popping y'all look you trying to sell me out which I love like go ahead and make my stock zero period. Hey And I just want to also say that. Although. A lot of people have been struggling with it so blessed is that we have lack nothing during this time you know what I mean and I think it's important to be appreciative of that because there are so many people that have lost so much in that guys the provides for us even in the midst of a pandemic that's something to be you know appreciated in treasure because that's not everyone's story. So I'm thankful to be alive at this point like that's the best thing. So. Yeah it's been. It's been quite a road, but I'm so excited to be back. I promise I'm going to give you some good content I will say that I don't know if I'm GONNA do continue do every week every episodes every week I think might go to biweekly just give me a little bit of time because you grow is in school is getting real real rough out here tranches. So we might be slowing down on that part, but the ruinous won't stop. Want to say thanks again Reza for being here. Let's talk about your podcast. So it's funny how you have a vision in then you realize division doesn't fit what the revision is. And what I mean by that is cure knows when we may hours gun hold on this whole marriage podcast but I found a old right up that I did for a block site and it was. Four years old Annan embodied everything that I want the podcast is shining light on and what I realized was I was on an on the wrong thing like I'm able to be a wife today because of all the trials relations that I endured I'm still enduring. So the focus was wrong. So now the podcast I'm getting ready to launch at the revamping is more so is going to be very thinned. So it's just focusing on getting people together and talking about those different things like one of the things that I talk about is. Talk I do fuck up you know a lot of times we will own everybody else's floss tell them about them but it's like, where did you go?.

"I'm not trying to share feelings. Aren't you hear my feeling is like let's just call it even be you know whatever but I think that to kind of like Challenge that that thought process of we were all going through stuff. Okay nobody really. Say nobody but most people don't Wanna be alone in their stuff you know what I mean. So it's like, yes, is you're going through stuff in so am I but this is where the sisterhood comes in. This is where that friendship that relationship that communication is supposed to happen because I'm going through steps in I don't WanNa go through it by myself or you know I would love to be able to bounce some information off view and vice versa. So as kind of like, I understand the people that say that because I can be that person but when it is time to go back in reconnect, likes it this way I, had gone on like. I feel like is communicate is a communication thing I think it's also a level of trust and a level of interpretation because a lot of times. When people go through they feel. Like it's just me and I feel like that like everybody else around by hasn't lost a parent yet. So a lot of times I'm like mentally I feel alone have all this physical support but mentally I'm like nobody gets it is not you know shame or shea towards anyone else but that's like to reality and I think, sometimes we go today in our moments like will I'm just only one going through but. I think if you trust a person enough to Kinda up, you might open up to the whole different level healing because that person already went through or they can relate but we don't give that a chance. We just automatically be like fucked up I'm out I WANNA talk to nobody. Yes I. Think if we kind of learn to work on that a little bit more, we won't always have to the the mental toll won't be so heavy fags because you can't lean on. The people that do care about you. What's your identify who those people are than I'll be easy for you to lean on them and for you guys to be whatever you need for each other. So I understand that that thought of Oh, you know we all got our own stuff going on but I also understand communication and relationships and wanting to be able to communicate with someone that you care about and vice versa. So I but not released. So let's let's get that. Were like this was a good check in I. Do what do you think I think? So I mean like you said, it's a lot of good in. Can we shine some? We've talked a lot about the Charles but. Good things store. Let's talk about that girl had interview. Hours going but I'm saying that say if you're looking for a job assignments now. Peru IT K. was a complete shocker. McCain you know a few weeks will like a week or so after my dad passed like it just proves there's lightning storms. That's one good thing for me money bad money bad money bay. CONGRATS on. That are already know you got the job. So that's just what it is..

So to be hit with such a blow of Losing Your Dad in in really in a in a short notice honestly because it even when you told me that I was like. He didn't make sense. I think though you know as a believer, you know. When we pray you have to understand that guys will always going to be done. So even when I will pray about my dad who was never like he boom living keeping going God it was lake make him okay. BECA me anything. So I remember when I told us that there was nothing else could do for my dad I was screaming in a parking ramp to my mom like why would God allow me to do all these things then take him you know and? I understand my miss mission like understand it was my job to get him to a position where got transition him safely and where he was. Happy. But to me, it's like I suffered for him no longer to suffer. And I'm still wrapping my mind around that while so you know God does truly work in mysterious ways. Definitely does a whole word in I think and I told you this during that time just that you know you. If, something were to happen to your dad and you did not have those weeks that you have him this hit so different for you. But you know that you did everything that you could for him in your mindset was on taking care of your dad and I think that you need that time to be able to one reconnect with him. You know seem in a better spirit and just be there for him and get a little piece of that daddy daughter time that you didn't get so. "Now that's good is important. Now I know that we talked about Chad would, but you also experienced your own loss over the last few weeks I still cry so often. So fresh. Very fresh which points to Icarus still such a doe person to me. So I lost my Dad August second. And Try to get through without crane. Do on when mink here I started talking. I don't know I like naturally in how I knew. I'm like, I don't normally just talk about like I'm GonNa Transpire person transparent person. But when stuff does like super close to me I don't get into detail like that and so I was telling like August of a habit dorm for him. The long story short guys I decided to fight for. Guardianship of my father. So here I am twenty seven, my dad's in his sixties, not an old man and I'm going through the course fighting for guardianship in dumb. He just had like all these health issues and the healthcare world isn't the nicest especially when it comes to them being like facilities. So when he had these issues going on, they kind of shut me down from information and that's when I felt it was more about the money. So I kind of kicked it in gear. So that little mature girl had come out in handle business but. i. went through the process for about two months and I finally got my dad to the same city as me and I'll starting to get like off his care. And then he kind of just died like. It sounds like, no, he didn't just Kinda die. We did like he had all these you name it..

Bulbs You Should Grow With Matt Mattus

"Before I placed my bulb order I called Matt Mattis author of mastering the art of flower gardening to see what he recommended. He's here today to showcase some of his favourite bulbs including the most lily leaf, beetle, resistant lilies, and also some of his favorite sources. So welcome Madam. So glad to talk to you today. Thank you. Margaret. I thrilled to be here. So before we get started Matt Should say we're going to have a book giveaway of your recent book with the transcript you're mastering the art of flower gardening. SO ON WAY TO GARDEN DOT COM people can enter to win the book and to just get started on the subject I kinda like to know if I'm not gonNA plan until October practically November why do I need to order bulbs now? That's a great question mark, and in fact, it's I think experienced gardeners are used to ordering bulbs now. I know when I was young and I'm a a Lifetime Gardener I. Wonder why I would get bald catalogs in. June. And July and older you get more you start to realize that type well, first of all time goes faster right. But also there are correct times to order bulbs and even though some bulbs like lilies the to be planted later. In October or November when they're delivered or shipped they need to be planted or I mean or early because they are. The, good ones sell out. and. Primarily, I'm talking about the specialty bulb growers I mean if you are in the Lily Society or a Lily Society or you exhibit lilies, you want the newest varieties. And there are three or four Louis nurseries in the United States. Canada that grow there on lillies in their own fields and breathe around and these are some of the newest and best crosses and hybrids available. And they'll in people know the good ones sell out early. So you order them early. So it's sort of like locking in your order early and then the third dug in. Late October and shipped in November I sometimes can barely get them in the ground before it freezes. You know, I think understating the Commercial Bob Trade helps that there's two ways to get lilies. You can order them from the Great Dutch Growers Eighth, Eighty percent of the world's Lisa grown in the Netherlands. But they're also grown globally. They're grown. You know that balance of the twenty percent a grown in Japan and France and Poland and Germany. So and in a lot of ground in the southern. Hemisphere New Zealand for the US market so they're grown offseason. So. Those are all great. There's no bad lily bowl but the there are extraordinary ones off it. You get a bigger bulb from a smaller nursery or a newer variety so those will sell out fast. Right and do you have a pet bird? Probably can hear the twenty heirloom Turkeys that just hatched in the kitchen here. Oh and there was no keeping them. So I apologize for the. I thought you had a pet canary or something that's hilarious. Okay. Good will say a lot of them. I. Apologize. Now it's so so the. And there are some things that are kind of perishable. Maybe we'll talk about those with some of the ones you recommend but. You WanNa get him really fresh so you don't want the last thing lying around for months either do you I mean Beth right? Yeah. Yeah. I'd be little Bob's in general or In Bulbs in general I'm including tubers and combs and Risa. GMS. But there are some that survived fine out of the ground for a while and there's some that don't I think we'll probably touch on that later but there's one thing I wanted to add that. This is this crazy twenty twenty year with Cova D- it's affecting the lily bulb industry especially the small growers I just received two e mails today from small growers at said, place your orders now because by September, we're probably going to shut down the site and switch over to spring twenty twenty, one orders. Okay you know because they're they're you know they don't buy from brokers the not buying for the big multiplying growers in the rest of the world out the basically have a field of Casablanca's when those are gone

Tens of thousands evacuated as India, Bangladesh brace for super cyclone

"Tens of thousands of people being moved from coastal areas of India and Bangladesh is the strongest storm ever recorded in the bay of Bengal approaches land our correspondents you'll get to the ninety eight joins us from Mumbai you'll get set millions of people in the path of cyclone palm house the huge operation to move them to safety going well massive accusation is going on both here in India as well as Bangladesh today you know when we had sort of an update from India early this morning about fifty thousand people had already moved from areas near the Sundarbans islands national disaster response teams are on the ground and evacuating people from coastal areas in the Indian state of West Bengal and risa from Bangalore based the country's disaster management minister told the BBC that they plan to move as many as two million people to shelters the cyclone is expected to make landfall sometime on Wednesday in an area it near the border of the two countries the Indian city of Kolkata densely populated one is expected to be affected by the cyclone as well what when the full cost is in India are saying is that the intensity of the winds might reduce slightly when it makes landfall so it might not be a super cyclone anymore but the really worrying thing is that the storm surges for Costa C. could be as high as ten to sixteen feet along with heavy rainfall flooding is a huge cause of concern right now in coastal areas of both India and Bangladesh and this relief operation being made all the harder because of coronavirus that's right I mean there are areas in both countries where you know confirm school that infections

"Center Doctor. Hoffman's research focuses around optimizing care for HIV infected women both in the US and abroad. Today we're going to talk about what it's like to be a doctor right now. Her work with HIV patients her concerns about Kovic Nineteen from the perspective of infectious disease. And how the Cova crisis is bringing the medical community together today in ways. We've never seen she's can offer us some hope and does have reality and I think you'll really enjoy it Reza. Thank you so much for taking the time to speak today. I do have to expresses supreme amount of gratitude for everyone listening at home. Obviously these episodes on Tuesdays. But you've given me time on on Sunday morning When you are in the midst of practicing medicine and treating patients and you know looking at the landscape of a pandemic and I just really want to thank you and thank you on behalf of everyone. Who's going to get to hear this conversation? Thank you so much and Really you know happy to be here and share my thoughts and I wanna say it's a huge team of of healthcare workers out there all around the world and that it's really incredible to be part of of this healthcare worker community during this time So I wanna get into everything going on right now and hear how healthcare workers are doing. And what you're seeing but I would love just briefly to hear how you ended up becoming an infectious disease specialist I. I generally go through so much of people's sort of origin stories but I also know that given the time we have today we should focus on the science. I'm just curious as you entered into a field of medicine and research. How DID YOU PICK INFECTIOUS DISEASE? it's a good question it's I think that for me. I was growing up in in school during the beginning of the HIV epidemic. And I think about that a lot because I wonder about kids. Who are you know? Maybe junior high age during high school or even younger who are going to this coveted experience and how that might shape their future. If they're inspired the way I was sort of inspired is the wrong word. I think I was seeing hearing on the news about this new infection. That no one ever heard of it was affecting haemophiliacs so there were kids my age that were the Ryan White face of HIV. And nobody knew how it was transmitted and so I sort of that. That have a big influence on on me. Just how scary it was. But also as I watched it evolve over you know years when I was in high school and then in college and I went to Stanford University and I had a really inspiring professor who taught a class called the impact of AIDS. And this was probably maybe like early. Nineteen nineties tonight. Now you can calculate my age And this was really before the advent of effective HIV therapy so people were mostly dying and there was a lot of stigma and he approached the HIV epidemic. From a really multidisciplinary Lens and talked about the importance of all the different fields. Not just science. Basic Science in research clinical medicine but The social science is behavior ear. You know legal legal protections and I was very interested in this idea of of fields and careers. That were really required. Multidisciplinary way of thinking about a problem. And I think. Hiv is such an interesting problem in that way because it requires really thinking about a disease and considering everything from the legal ramifications to behavior change to you know obviously the clinical part so really that was probably the the reason I decided to go into infectious diseases because mostly At the time I was training the pathway to become an HIV physician and researcher was through infectious diseases. I did also have A fascination with with what we call bugs drug so the bacteria antibiotics and viruses and I always had a sort of yearning to travel and see the world and think about inequity is not just here in the US. But inequity around the world you know. As I was progressing my.

"Were themselves murder risa and part of a murderous rain so literally he was the worst of the worst of the worst we write and exactly right and I guess they were getting into a little bit into the of the era area of of speculation but the idea that the **** also we're working on anti gravity X. some sort of a device it's been called the **** bell that may have been used in fact to deliver a bomb that they were also at the same time working on a on the bomb a nuclear bomb or an atomic bomb and it that the delivery system would be essentially a flying saucer what can you tell me did you come across any any information regarding that while you were investigating complex another great question and we came across information about the bell about the the saucers we didn't pursue that in particular we did pursue the nuclear research because I I felt that the nuclear research you know the fact that that that determines the **** were doing nuclear research was firmly established the question was how far did they get in the nuclear research and I think we do a pretty good job in the hit not see in the book of destroying the argument offered by the Americans there and you're a you know as the war ended that the **** didn't get very far that conclusion was based on two things primarily first it was based on what are called the farm hall transcripts these are transcript at conversations that were made and a detention center where a lot of the **** were house and the **** scientists that are that is at the end of the war the problem with those transcripts is the **** knew they were being recorded so you know they weren't necessarily honest in our conversations or complete they had they came up with something called the resort which is which translates as the version and it was an agreement among the **** nuclear scientists to lie about the extent of their research and the purpose of their research the conventional history sort of reports that to the extent the **** were doing nuclear research it wasn't to weaponize nuclear physics it was to provide energy and propulsion systems but this lays art Davis art sort of puts the lie to that conclusion and Furthermore not all the **** scientists were even ask form hall at this detention center in the transcripts are not complete there were you know obviously lots of conversations that weren't on microphone that weren't recorded and even a lot of those that were recorded were never transcribed so relying on those statements is just not sound and I was stoned that that was a key component of America's inclusion at the Germans to really didn't get very far in nuclear research and your research led you to conclude what I mean how close were they and I mean imagine if they had fully developed and tonic bomb and were able to use a V. two rocket to deliver it yeah I mean that would change everything oh my goodness yes of course we don't we don't have what I would call a smoking gun that that they got very far what we what we really have it and we do have very firm evidence about the American rocket which was known before that they had not to the book comes out people heard about the American rock and a and D. R. I. K. a called the American rocket because it was designed to reach the eastern seaboard of the United States that was a delivery system you don't have to get to a point where you have to think the **** were working on something called a bell or a flying saucer they had a longer range version of the V. two a proven missile that would have reached the American seaboard with the same payload so the question is can you put a nuclear payload in something like that and the answer is clearly yes at least in terms of a dirty bomb the nineties clearly had the ability to make a dirty bomb we found evidence that von Braun had considered this is one of on brown became an American hero we look at an interrogation report that really hasn't been reported on before they come from nineteen forty eight Richard three years after the war's over Bergeron brown is for the first time admitting that he considered cobbling that America rock at the longest range rocket with chemical weapons that would have will rain down on American cities Boston New York Washington DC Baltimore yeah so you know what the other the other I think this concerning thing when it comes and nuclear research in Germany as they the second sort of thread of evidence we relied on the Americans the western allies relied on including they didn't get very far with this ground team called helps us that followed our troops follow the allied troops in the final stages of the war as they reclaimed four more German held territory they were researching to see how far the not he's got to building a bomb in they tried to investigate it every nuclear research site they could which is a great idea but the also sweeter the leader of the team in a book actually complained that there were so many sites and so much information that no team of any size could analyze all the information this is the leader of the team saying this they also found that a lot of the sites that they did come upon had been pilfered meaning that you know their own allies had gotten there first and destroy the site or the Germans had evacuated the sites the documents have been taken or destroyed and also see importantly never investigated anything beyond the territory that the US would control so all the territory that Germany controlled in Eastern Europe including Czechoslovakia never got examined by the western allies as they reached this staggeringly definitive conclusion that Germany didn't make advances in nuclear research now I'd be really Frank with you and and careful here we're not saying they made vast leapfrog ahead in nuclear science but I I truly believe that the conclusion that they didn't it's just not supported at all so the the the the end of the war the allies closing in on on Berlin and the Soviets of course Hitler supposedly takes his own life also the Fuehrer bunker in April of nineteen forty five and a month later supposedly a calmer takes his own life what we know about that well that's right the the conventional history again I use that term advisedly is that Hans comma final days of the war literally in may nineteen forty five is trapped in Prague he's been making a mad scramble interment controlled territory in the final weeks of the of the war and in the book they did not see we we document the final movement but he's in Prague he's trapped can't get out and according to his driver goes to a road side meeting with another executive who's in a weapons specialization and by the way Skoda works is in Prague in western Czechoslovakia that was the biggest armaments developer in eastern all Eastern Europe and Germany within controllers go to work so that's where Hans calmer had been overseeing that in the final days of the war and and roadside meeting he walks off into the woods into thing killed himself the problem with that as you noted in your opening is that the driver never produced his side arm or his paper work or his dog tags identity desks the Germans called them and that was required practice at this point I mean everybody did that clean be buried him in a shallow grave nobody would ever produced there's a post war search for his great you've nobody no grace I could be found nobody could be produced and Hans calmer I mentioned you know early on is an open group in Europe which is the rank equivalent to George Patton so it's the equivalent of just losing George Patton's body in the field of bought battle is just unthinkable it's not gonna happen Richard so that the whole theory of his death to us that's one of the first things that they got our researchers involved here is a hint that didn't make a lot of sense insuring off years and years later after the German courts adjudicate Hans calmer dead by suicide years later he did you can comes up with a slightly different version of his death because they can't find a body and then there's a third version of his death and course all these versions of his death which add up to six or seven now are inconsistent with one another and not put my researchers on the trail of a font color to begin with and it turns out he didn't commit suicide at all and and we've got the goods on that right and I just well I wanna come back obviously to calmer and what happened but I just want to take a moment to side step in and find out what happened to von Braun because I think he was if I'm not mistaken arrested a year before by his own government they accused him of trying to sabotage the the V. two program but after the war he S. doesn't he escape with most of the V. two team to Austria or someplace well that that that's a good point as the war's ending in that they offer the rocket team is operating on northern on the northern shore of of of Germany on the Baltic coast and is the sequence of events which is is very peculiar and it'll take me a minute to lay it out but I will that's within operating since the early nineteen thirties the Soviets are approaching and on color moves them to central Germany to keep them out of reach of the Soviets and we think it on purpose so he could deliver them to the United States Army his emissaries on commerce emissaries had just met in Lisbon Portugal neutral territory with representatives of the United States and General Electric themselves had just gotten a rocket contract from the United States so the sequence there is General Electric it's a rocket contract on come and meet with cheating people and Americans in neutral territory this is in November and December of nineteen forty four January of nineteen forty five a month later he moved the rocket team a month after that the altar happens Hans Connor finds out that the place he just moved the rocket team too it is going to be in the Russian zone of occupation so a month after that he moved the rocket team yet again in hand delivers them to the American the American advancing forces in Bavaria the rocket teams interrogated there inbound round end up coming to the United States and he leads the United States rocket team becomes an American hero he's on Disney there was no Disney Channel but you know he becomes NASA officials he hands are rocket team we get to the moon first he helped build the ICBM we win the Cold War I think he became an American hero with some justification but we develop a lot of evidence that it's never been discussed before that that that Werner von Braun was not lily white as some of the historians have portrayed him he as you also we were coming up in a break your top of the hour but as you also point out and we'll get to the into this and and and after the break how committed he was that the Soviets even launched an attack against I think they use a Soviet paratroopers to try and steal von Braun from the Americans that could have been I mean that could have escalated into in a World War three right there right out of the gate yeah I mean this is after hostilities ended the Soviets were still our allies ostensibly we had because we had von Braun in Bavaria in custody and as you say they launched an attack with paratroopers the trying to kidnap von Braun and taken as their own because he was that important to the the sort of Cold War geopolitical alliance Bob Hope made the joke which is grounded in truth that you know we got to the moon first because are not the scientists were better than the.

Climate crisis will fundamentally reshape world of finance, says world's largest asset manager

"The world's largest asset manager is putting climate change at the center of its investment strategy blackrock overseas almost seven trillion dollars in investments the founder and CEO Larry think made the announcement in his annual letters to clients and chief executives of the world's largest companies he said blackrock will exit investments the present a high sustainability related risk he also said the company would launch new investment products that screen for fossil fuels I asked Larry think about his message to investors who might say that's all well and good but you're not maximizing my profits well in the United States blackrock as a voodoo shoe has to live under that mandate that Izzie risa rules as in the United States at the time that number one responsibility is to maximize return this is one of the reason why the United States is actually behind many places the world that places sustainability much more prominent we have also made a statement that we believe that a sustainable portfolio will outperform or indeed will maximize your profits over a long period of time they're real questions about how you define a sustainable portfolio for example even outside blackrock will sell out of all companies to get more than a quarter of their sales from thermal coal that still leaves some of the biggest coal producers in your portfolio because they do a lot of other things too so tell me about how you made this call will call is a very small component of any investment universe it's a very small fraction the principal said that most people uses a standard of fifty percent less we brought that down to twenty five percent less but let's be clear a call is it represents a small component of the investable universe I think the other thing that we announce creating more products more indexes that have sustainability is a key characteristics is a be a lot more important than whether we invested it in coal companies that have twenty five percent less of the revenues in coal the key characteristic is making sure that more and more investors you sustainability is a metrics to look at investing and we but we will create the tools we will have the tools to help you people died that climate activists have staged protests outside of blackrock's headquarters members of Congress have urge you to do more tell us about why you're making this decision now we're doing this on behalf of clients I have not done this with the idea focus gone any activist groups or any other voice we are voice to the investors our job is to be speaking on behalf of our investors and I wrote this letter not as an environmentalist I wrote this letter as a capitalist was there one event our conversation or news story that really flip the switch for you that make you think well this is a moment we have to fundamentally change course now is really the the sum of all my conversations in every part of the world with our clients and witnessing their questions about this and it really became very clear to me as somebody a bit and finance for and forty four years it's very clear to me that we're at a point now where more and more people believe in the science of climate change more and more people are worried about their portfolios and how their portfolio is going to be performing over tenure ricin some cities that have consistent problems related to flooding or five years those cities are going to have a harder time financing their debt over a longer horizon I reserve question about the role of a thirty year mortgage in areas where climate change could have a serious impact over time would you adequately issue a thirty year mortgage if you can't get proper private flood or fire insurance and so this is how we believe we're seeing capital changing if more and more people believe that climate change is going to impact their valuations of their portfolios they're gonna sheep their portfolio that's going to have less risk we want to design better techniques better analytics to help all our investors and how they can be better prepared for the eventuality of physical change in the world Larry think is founder and CEO of blackrock thanks for speaking with us today thank you bye bye

I'm I'm Jefferson Graham so instead of offering you phone service cable. TV An Internet for one. Bundled price. For RISA now says it's GonNa offer mix and match saying that it will let customers choose what they want instead but it doesn't take too long to look at the offer and realize you're not saving any money you're spending just as much if not more and you're still stuck with hundreds of TV channels that you do not want so cord cutters be aware entry level prices include a forty dollar broadband service in fifty dollars. TV package with more than one hundred twenty only five channels including five of your favorites and in verizon throws in the other one hundred and twenty plus fifteen dollars monthly for a router or in other words a hundred dollars plus now that's what many cable companies charge now and several including spectrum will they'll throw in the landline service to and the fact. That verizon is forcing you to get all those extra channels means. It's all semantics Sundell. Let's call him out and tell them exactly what we think of this. It's just differently

The Best Beauty Products Launched in 2019

"Got four eight four pages full of new product launches. That came came out this year and even to know where to start so I mean one of the biggest launches from the start of the I remember was the pillow collection from Charlotte Tilbury. That was that that was huge and I feel like I think a lot of people saw it coming to a point oversee once she lipstick to go with the lip pencil. I think she knew the demand would be that I. I shot a pilot so and we had mixed opinions because you you felt it didn't receive your compassion and I did like I love it. My Pro Kit. Actually I feel like I use that law. I do definitely use it more. I would say but I do like it. It's definitely that kind of Dusky Rosy pink the people and it just looks terrible it. That's Fine Charlotte. I don't take it personally when I do. I massively do a but yeah it's been funny here for Charlotte Tilbury with choose from her. I feel like I mean there was the foundation that was I love. I love for holiday. Love winters well. It's an absolutely stunning but given how much I love Dan in how incredible it was in Arkansas. Look at my face. I don't wear a law now. I have to say for me shot. Toby when I look back I feel like I'm still very much obsessed with the hero. The core products the core range that she came out with I think of the newest launches the things I like best are probably the magic conceals at the medicine concede in Hollywood Florida. Solta for me. Those are the kind of the two of the newest standout signed your loving. But I still love her core collection. That's where like you get your money's worth of Charlotte Nicole collection. The things I use the most easily magic consular official the pillow. Talk Lip liner. I oh yeah all the time in the liner but not the lipstick or any of the other color. Cosmetics doesn't make any sense. I'm sorry and and well are you Charlotte a lot. Ju I use all all the time. which is mental is it was the limited edition Arshad? Oh pilot from a few years back the folded angel little toward and it had like a charcoal block in apple's haplessly colors as well and it had stars on the front and I love that polly. I wish you would bring that back. See I love the statistic Pala and I think the Classic Adult Evita me. I feel like they were so so good. I loved that she was kind of one of the fast brands as well to not include like the crappy little brush yet that no one away so yeah I think Charlotte's she's still don't make great products but for me. I'm still very kind of like the core collection. Yeah very and just see what we share how she grows and whether or not she sells up. That'd be interesting with so many bronze being being snapped up. Now just see if she goes anywhere. jus This is a good one. This is really got a couple of lipsticks mentioned here and I think they well all really good. This isn't a good year for lipstick. Yes got the color. Pop Lock slips which check ups. I like the Color Lipsticks. Yeah I feel like they're all really really good. The BECCA cosmetics ultimate lip love. I think that was such an underrated launch. There was all sorts of noise about it and then it just disappeared. Yeah Yeah and those lipsticks are amazing. If you want like a good mid range luxury feeling luxury locking looking locking amen. Luxury unlocking lipstick. They gorgeous loved those I think because they started the first ones were in the Khloe Kardashian. Malaika yeah already Rachel with those and I think it just got lost and then they brought out like thirty shades and it was. You could choose your warm warm skin tone calls Pinto yes to help you. Select the colors this but like they were gorgeous. They're really nice lipstick. So good work there. So his ARA launch their first line of cosmetics and I say I was into it super in love with that orange lipstick because they stopped they. Did I think what for me. Always draws attention is when they start with just a few products really well so the I think the collection launched with it was pretty much lip. Pencils lip lipsticks and like a liquid lipstick. I don't know I need to check whether or not they added anything else to hurt. It is the Jo Malone sense of the doom right now watch yes. There's Zara orders right now. I think only in the UK. Because I looked in the US couldn't find them but jo Malone is formulated a bunch of sense. Those are home which is very exciting. Yeah I really love the law. I thought was fantastic on the liquid. Lipsticks mazing the callers. Fantastic really the kind of high end fail a really fat price in the packaging was gorgeous. It was like a ten hour time for me. It was really really well done. I was very impressed. I'm super excited about these sense. Please going to have and I hope they bring out more. I feel like they could do some really good things. Yeah exciting I would take it. There was a big year. This is actually a moisturizer. I absolutely loved. which is this year it was really interesting about putting this together is seeing what actually came out this year? It's like I feel like I've had this ever. which was the torture? Jewish skin cream moisturizer. I feel that's been out forever. I did not realize it. It was so recent but I love that the main thing I love about that which doesn't help anybody. Oh I took to the launch event in Iran the good money to see Jeff. I wish you all could have come because he was just like. Let's go war-scarred on WHO's up over their wives that Mongol Faiza maker welcome welcome to La beauty event. How this is going to go? We were. They'll be the cheese by Sunday was no cheese. He's a SNOB. Wasn't even any food. I don't think there it was free drinks by the bucket load. No food very distressing a good time and I really really really loved that Most RISA and it was the gateway face product though Jeff. 'cause I think because he was there and the man showed him how to apply he had no choice. There's some was like let me show you to do it. And he was like what moisturizer enough is like just along dickhead. Do not make this difficult because the man was like. Yeah like put it in your hands and then just press I interface press into the newly. Do not touch me. But then he went home and felt like you felt attached to it. Felt like a kinship to the MOISTURIZER. That's used it all up. And then when he used it was like we got anymore of that moisturizer but now he has a full skincare regime. So thanks for that torture and I did just really love it. I really really good Nice moisturizer that my skin just drank up and I liked that product also touch us Nice I love to the Jewish setting resting is gorgeous. Yeah Luna the apprentice. Although one of my friends who didn't know why it was founded in my bathroom yeah they have the little spoon yet the moisture spoon in your address. The voice is on like what. It's a coke spoon. Yeah like you. I've been in La too long. I did love love that. I know you're going to be excited about this. One glossy launches this year loss play. Tourists missing after deadly New Zealand volcano eruption

"So many of us woke up here in this tragic news of white islands located twenty nine miles off of new Zealand's North Island had erupted five people confirmed dead and eighteen injured and more than twenty people are thought to be missing police say there have been no signs of life from the island no more survivors are expected to be found rescuers have been unable to land on the island but they say a number of helicopters have passed overhead and they are asking that if anybody was on the island with misdirection to reach out to Chris Pleasants at mail online dot com so no signs of life after a volcanic eruption that happened at two eleven PM their local time there were an estimated fifty tourists around the crater eighteen survivors are evacuated some suffered severe burns there's been an estimated twenty seven people unaccounted for police say the number of messages in the double figures but refused to give an exact figure Australian prime minister Scott Morrison said twenty four Australians were visiting the island at the time of the disaster three Britons we don't know how many Americans rescuers have so far been unable to get onto the island because the land slides and for the Russians there are a number of rescue helicopters that are already trying to look and they didn't flying all all throughout the night their time officials said early Tuesday and that's Tuesday their time but no signs of life have been seen at any point and they are not expected to find anybody else alive which means the death toll could be as high as thirty two so this is what Corey what Corey is known as a white island twenty nine miles looking off new Zealand's in Northern Ireland they said the plumes of smoke and debris went about twelve thousand feet into the sky and I guess this is a very popular tourist attraction you see people involves taking pictures of this they were likely to be in a boat when this happened you see people trying to get into a vote from the island and the place is completely covered in ash for you know talking about is a real great island why is it a tourist site will it's a great because of the ash kids barely a beautiful island you just can't tell because there's absolutely so you want to see a video footage people screaming to get inside the vote right and to as they need to get away from the flames of the pools are a lot of scrambling lot of chaos and you know they say this is a very active volcano and so we're not sure why people would the I don't not sure why they would be tourists there if there was an active volcano Tony von former mayor of the nearby town of all cuddly said that a guide for the white island towards company was among those killed most of the Australians caught up in the disaster are thought to be passengers of the ovation of the seas cruise liner it departed Sydney last week speaking earlier Monday New Zealand prime minister Justin the ardour and said they were never chores from her country and overseas on the island at the time all royal Caribbean owner of a vision of the seas issue the same as in the ship would stay in the nearby port of Toronto overnight until we learn more about the situation some fairly wide island is new Zealand's most active volcano courts Daily Mail and had seen its last major eruption in two thousand was smaller events over the years officials said it's unlikely the volcano will erupt again in the next twenty four hours but obviously people are warned to stay away from I'm they're worried about tsunamis that can now happen earthquakes and other sorts of possible unrest geological hazard trekkers gill net is registered motor volcanic unrest on the island for weeks but the nature of organic activities and predictable with the eruption unforeseen so family there's a camera on the critters ram run by gill nets and they take pictures every ten minutes and you see a string of people visiting the crater the next shot taken into twenty was unreadable which means people were there at the crater when a blue so yes I crazy up really experts say that this was a disaster waiting to happen what island was always quote too dangerous for the number two was was in the aisles experts said and the warranty people of risa for the blast landslides they say emeritus professor ray costs from mo not universally branded the island as by its may ori Nemo cari quote a disaster waiting to happen for many years he said I've always felt there was too dangerous to allow daily tour groups that visit the uninhabited island by boat or helicopter nearly back in nineteen fourteen the small money committee on the island was wiped out because falling rocks weekend by the island's volcanic activity strip the village so they thought a Pacific plate that moved westward underneath the Indo Australian plate where New Zealand sits on the rock pushed underneath melts turns into macula fills with gases the hot rocks creek circulation patterns underneath volcano than sting breaks through the rocks a buildup of pressure accumulated direction sites in the rocks hold back the pressure breaks gas rapidly release and then you have the volcanic eruption so mining activities when bands of the island has been uninhabited now for more than a century but still a hot spot for to resell because of okay and she'll net news it was the logical hazard information center as far as what island as it was most active cold volcano only the top is visible with eighty percent under water so we'll keep you guys posted it is so tragic and again you just don't know why this was such an active tourist spot I mean I saw Dante's peak I am done these be they said they could pick up farmers and they could check for soul for in the water and there's like all sorts of stuff that they could do but apparently it's one of those things where it might have been you know like other boy cried wolf and so maybe they just kind of took it for granted so unfortunately as we hear more about who passed will keep you

"This is Risa Akbal with NewsHour live from the BBC in London. Now until recently, the Aquarius, the charity run migrant rescue vessel was the only remaining civilian ship. Rescuing migrants who ran into difficulties crossing the Mediterranean Sea from North Africa to Europe. But it's been dot in Marseilles in the south of France for the past two months after the flag that allows it to sail was revoked now it's facing a new challenge from talion prosecutors who are seeking to seize the ship amid claims that it illegally dumped twenty four tons of potentially toxic waste in Italian ports. We can speak now to Colleen Claire the head of emergencies for mid Sansone frontier. One of the two charities that has been operating the Aquarius, welcome to NewsHour. The Italians say that you did not correctly dispose of clothing from migrants with infectious diseases, and they have evidence to prove this are they right? Well, no could afternoon we think this is an absurd situation. I mean, we have provide. It's heavy always cave. This waste of the of the people we rescued in the ports to the competent authorities. They never have made any remark that the procedure. Followed was wrong. This is just again, another attack only humanitarian on people who try to save lives at sea. And this one is to say, the least up shirt. Well, you say it's absurd, but they are clearly serious about this. And the accusations are leveled at twenty four people of conspiring to do what I've just described on the Aquarius and another of your ships are you cooperating with the Italian investigation. Yes. Of course. I mean, we we always follow the law will be we will appeal this this decision because it's not the first attack. I mean, we have been accused of collaborating human traffickers, these been accused of all kinds of other small illegal. According to them crimes and this latest. I mean, they're not only accused of of putting Uman ways. Because that's where we talking about it talking about blankets clothes food from people we rescued and they claim that's all infect us because they say in a detention center in db there. Schick people it it's it's just another attack just to try to prevent ship liked acquired yesterday continue its life. Lifesaving activities at at sea. Well, I mean, the the the ship the Aquarius has been docked in in Marseilles for the last two months. So you have been prevented from doing your work in in any case to what do you attribute the motivation, then to the way in which the Italian authorities are conducting themselves currently, well, what we see is that it's it's an attempt to make sure that we because we are actually negotiating countries to obtain a flag, and this is just another attempt to make sure we not cutting back to see. And it's it's it's part of a bigger at tech. Gold Stanley by Italian authorities at at at at. Our ships. I mean, we have seen it before we spend they put pressure on fundamentally, but alter to take the flak a film the ship. I mean, we have always operated completely in coordination the Italian authorities and vista ports agents. Have you have not been hiding anything? Just for the record. You have as far as you're concerned. You have been disposing of whatever waste that. There is on the ships in in a legal way. And you completely contest what they're saying. Yes. I mean, we have been discharging and disposing of waste management together. Vista port authorities. But they're saying because we actually fill in on the firm on Heather's a form you have to fill in. And we have all age made clear on the form. This is waste coming from the people and the separately disposed of the medical waste. It's goes to an incinerator and procedures for. That's what they're now claiming is that all the way suite just produced by people Li rescued Iskoe its effect is based and more than that. And they're actually claiming debts MSF and the boat. Are like an organized international crime organization would deliberately try to avoid feasts to to kick. These gift this waste away. We actually a very concerned because not only is this an attack on the humanitarian organization again. But it's also makes the Mike and the people your rescue the refugees again, making them look like, they're threat CENA, phobic addition students Mike are dangerous. I mean, it's all part of the bicker attempts to make Mike Lynch, look like they're they're the dangerous for the European population. We will leave it there. Colleen Klay ahead of emergencies for medicine some frontier, thank you for joining us. Now a death sentence given to a young man selling cannabis oil to the Il has stirred debate in the Muslim-majority countries Malaysia about his ultra tough drug laws. "This is Risa Akbal with NewsHour live from the BBC in London. The economic and social crisis in Venezuela has prompted a steady wave of migration out of the country in recent years, according to the United Nations more than one point five million Venezuelans have left since two thousand fifteen then you've gone to neighboring South American countries all the United States, but close historical and cultural links with Spain have seen tens of thousands of Venezuelans going there to live many of them are looking not for work, but for high end business investments reports now from Madrid. Shame. New knock Moise Nadia property consultant Ignacio shows me around the exclusive neighborhood of Salamanca in central Madrid. It's a place that's home to a good deal of Spanish old money in recent years, become a magnet for new investment from Venezuela. There's the Baio Shenyang Yamato. They use a little sweaters have been buying luxury properties. But equally in Madrid Salamanca neighborhood. It has been a very noticeable trend. They often buy properties cause more than half million euros which allows into. She then or teeth says Venezuelans are responsible for between thirty and forty percents of all high end property purchases in this area. Spain has a complex relationship with Venezuela. The two countries shed deep, cultural and business ties, but Spanish media and politicians are often critical of the Venezuelan government's handling of its economic and social crisis. This is led to a relationship with Venezuela's leftist President, Nicolas Maduro. Ha in this speech. He jokingly told Venezuelans that Spain needs a leader like him. In the middle of the last century, many Spaniards escaped poverty in their own country by migrating to Venezuela. Now, the children and grandchildren of many of those migrants. Are escaping Venezuela's crisis by coming back to Spain. According to official figures there are around one hundred thousand Venezuelans in Spain, but many estimates put the true figure at three times that..

"Then off he goes, yeah, it's it's a doorbell Rumas. They're almost worth it because even if they didn't vacuum, just for how cute they are. The first time we set it off, we loved his chasing it. Right? Like where's he going to go? Let's he gonna do. The one thing I wished it could do, and I find this a real shame that you can't do this, and I'm really hoping I know this isn't the case, but I tell you this, you know, of course you can is say, roomba. Go cleaned the kitchen. I really wished that it was possible because it generates maps, and I feel like it would be amazing if I could take them out that generates zone off each area, an audit to go clean an area because sometimes I just need it to clean the kitchens. All I need unlike you can pick it up and put it down, but that feels so dumb. Right? Because I have this robot Risa, pick up and put down the robot amaz-. Well, at that point going get the vacuum that we have and just go over it myself. Yeah, that's a me was in our first conversation we had about the roomba was a thing I was pushing up against the way. I was think people people roomba wrong, like they're treating it like it's a little vacuum cleaner. And I totally agree if you. Yourself in the position where you're picking up the roomba and then you are taking out those little cylinders that you can use to block it off with infrared and like you're blocking off like you should just vacuum at that point. Like that's not how the roomba is supposed to be used, like you're doing it. You're getting all the disadvantages of the roomba is in a perfect vacuum cleaner, and none of the advantages of it is an autonomous vacuum cleaner. If you're like, setting it up in a room, that feature never occurred to me, but that would be really cool if on those little maps because it clearly learned the basic gist of what your house looks like over ties. I feel like it's not though I feel like we think it is every single time. The number is learning and you Br, like every time it goes out. It should going again because it doesn't ever check because I feel like if it learned it would stop bumping into stuff, but it doesn't like every single time all it's ever trying to do is go as far as it can't full it and. And it just does it. But we think that it's loaning because the map is the same every time, but that's because I houses don't change. Like if it was learning anything, then you would be able to say, like, open up a map, press on it in the go that I think it doesn't have that technology. All it's doing is relying on it senses to tell it. I can't go any further because we've done this right, like on its first pass it bumps into something goes pasta. If you move that thing on a second pass, it will clean the area because it didn't actually learn. It just didn't bump into anything that time, maybe you're right. I feel like it's just the impressiveness of the return to base from a far away location always surprises me. And I guess that that has fooled me into thinking it knows the house better than it really does. I think all it does is it knows the rue. It's just taken since it left. Yeah, maybe I I know I have on occasion had to move it and it can still find its way back, but I think you're right. I think listening to you describe it. It is just learning the. House in new every time. Yeah.
