"News one O 6 9 and a.m. 7 40 K CBS, your new time 1220. All right, so let's be real. Your holiday leftovers. A lot of you planning on eating them, but you're not going to eat them. In fact, a new study out of Ohio State shows that Americans waste about one third of foods they buy and for more were joined on the RingCentral news line by Brian roe, excuse me, the Van Buren professor in the department of agricultural environmental and development economics at Ohio State, and we profess, I appreciate your time here professor is a lot of people I think are dealing with this very question right now. Yeah, I read your piece a little bit earlier and I noticed something that a phrase you use called the squander sequence. And I was really I was really drawn to that. What does that mean? Well, the squander sequence basically means that in order for us to not weigh food, we have to waste it at each point all the way from the farm to our own homes. And so we have to kind of keep up that line of perfection all the way along to make sure that we don't waste the food. And as it goes further and further gets closer and closer to us, there's more resources and worth embedded in that food. And so it becomes more critical that we try to make sure that we use that food. I'm also drawn to the idea that we got okay when it came to efficiency during the pandemic, but we've lost that efficiency. Why? Well, our households and lives got busier and crazier and all sorts of different temptations. Think about the pandemic. We were probably making that two or through the fridge several times a day, maybe had our kids and other people in the household making sure that we used up all of our items, but now back to our old hectic lives going out, spontaneously, taking that food that we had purchased earlier in the week and promised we're going to be making Thursday night and instead we kind of decided to do something spontaneous and went out for dinner instead and maybe that items in the refrigerator no longer get prepared and eaten. So it's probably too late to answer this question for the holiday food. But looking forward, I mean, how do we get better at this? Yeah, planning is helpful and having a sense of adventure in terms of using up unused items or leftovers. There's lots of great apps and websites where you can put in a few key items that you have in your fridge and it will give you all sorts of ideas for recipes to use those up and I think that's a great way and like I always say it's in and out covered in Panko fried up and give it to your kids will probably eat it. If you have not met my kids, I don't know about that. So beyond that, it's also about education, right? I mean, not just in people using apps and these different functions, but also as kids come up through school, right? Yeah, I think when people realize that wasting food waste all the resources that went into that food and then most food gets put into a landfill where it's creating greenhouse gases and other types of pollution from landfills, people can kind of sinks in, plus they realize that for most households, it's 1500, $2000 a year worth of food that never gets eaten with rising food prices. I think there's a lot of good reasons for people to take that second look, become a bit more critical about the way they buy prepare and kind of use up their food in their fridge and elsewhere. It's not just also what happens in your kitchen, my kitchen, but I imagine there is a lot of food that ends up maybe being wasted from grocery stores and other places that could be used. Is there a way to break that cycle? Yeah, and there's good news. The food donation act has been passed by Congress, which will help some of those large food waste folks be have more confidence in donating food items so that it can be recovered and go to those in need. And so that will give them more liability protection more confidence that they can take the food that they might have in bulk at a restaurant or to retail location and make those donations in good faith without having to face any issues with liability. And I want to close that. I'm just looking at a line in the piece that you wrote talking about reinvesting in family and consumer science courses. Food and consumer science courses are not as popular because they're getting pushed out of the curriculum. But there are chance for people to really connect with the food system, understand and being able to take control of their lives in many different ways. And so something to think about in terms of a school curriculum. Yeah, I hear that. I can still make really incredible vanilla pudding because of home ec. Professor, we appreciate your time. It was Brian rove, the Van Buren professor and the department of agricultural environmental and development economics at Ohio State university. We were talking about

"Now, one 21. Basketball star Brittany griner announced today that she will return to play for the WNBA next year. She spent ten months in a Russian prison known for extremely harsh conditions. Experts say she will likely face mental and physical challenges as she recovers. For more on this, we're joined on the kcbs RingCentral news line by Craig haney, Professor of psychology at UC Santa Cruz, who studies the psychological effects of imprisonment and solitary confinement. Thanks so much for your time this afternoon. Thanks for having me. What are some of the long-term impacts of incarceration in a situation like this? Well, I think the important thing to keep in mind is that Brittany griner and other people who've been in prison have experienced severe trauma, the kind of deprivations, the kind of humiliations that she would have been exposed to in Russian prisons. I've been in some Russian prisons and so I can speak to the fact that they are as severe as the pressures describe them. She's going to have to overcome the after effects of that. And she has some advantages that most people coming out of prison don't have. One is that she's an athlete and she's used to being disciplined and I suspect that during the time that she was in prison, she was able to maintain as much as possible what kind of day to today routine that would have required her to be very disciplined and how she went about and getting through the day. She has resources coming out that most people who come out of prison don't have. But those advantages notwithstanding looking at a challenging period of time in her life because she's going to have to adjust to the carrier effects of social anxiety that many people bring out of prison and depression, which also typically accompanies people when they come out of prison. And in our last minute together, do you have any good news stories that you can share with us of people who have been through this type of incarceration and come out okay? Well, I have tons of good news stories. I mean, the fact of the matter is that these are challenges, but they can be overcome. They can particularly be overcome if people get help or assistance. And it looks by all accounts as though she's going to have that help and that kind of assistance. Assistance that many people don't get. But people do come out of prison and they do go on to lead normal healthy fulfilling lives. I think all of us are hopeful that that's exactly what her story will be and given her advantages as every reason to believe that that's exactly what will happen. All right, well, that sounds good. That is Craig haney. He is a Professor of psychology at UC Santa Cruz

"News one O 6 9 and a.m. 7 40, K CBS, KCB S news time one 21 earlier today the House passed a bill that would protect same sex and interracial marriage, sending that to the president's desk for a signature. Now the Supreme Court is considering a case this term on LGBTQ rights and religion. For more, we turn to the RingCentral news line and speak with Michael bakay law professor at the university of buffalo law school. Professor thanks very much for your time. My pleasure. So let's pick apart what exactly what protections does this law potential law provide. Well, if there's two things, first, it guarantees that the federal government will recognize any same 6 marriages that are legally formed in a given state. And it also requires states to respect between themselves and the same sex marriages that are validly formed in another state. So it doesn't require states to go ahead and legalize same sex marriage, but they have to, they have to recognize that if, for instance, somebody comes from California. That's exactly right. That's exactly right. And right now, of course, under the Supreme Court's 2016 decision in a burglary Hodges, all states are required to permit same sex marriages. So at present, the effect of the law is largely symbolic. Yeah, I was going to say some same sex marriage advocates say this doesn't quite go far enough. Yeah, well, it's not entirely clear what would go far enough. I suppose a requirement that all states law compelling all states to issue same sex marriage licenses, it's not entirely clear to me that such a law would be constitutional. It's also not clear to me that such a law would actually pass the Congress, certainly not with such impressive bipartisan majorities. So what would the limitations of a Supreme Court ruling be if they were to overturn that oberg fell Hodges decision? Well, that would be really a remarkable move on the Supreme Court's part. I think that there's every reason to be to be worried about that, especially given the Supreme Court's recent decision overturning roe versus wade. But the effects of that decision, again, would be pretty geographically specific. Again, there are many states primarily blue states that will continue to issue same sex marriage licenses. And under this under this law that was just passed, again, other states would be would be required under federal law to recognize those marriages. Professor, thanks very much for your perspective and your expertise. Michael bakai is law professor at the university of buffalo

"New contract putting a strike just around the corner for more we're joined on the kcbs RingCentral news line by William gold, Stanford law professor and former chair of the national labor relations board. Professor, thanks very much for your time. Thank you good to be with you. I heard our read that we're talking about 28,000 conductors and a strike could hit the U.S. economy at a rate of $2 billion a day. That's something you want to stop happening. What's going into trying to resolve this? Well, I think that one thing we can say for certain that is that that is if there is a strike that both the president and Congress will support some form of intervention which will impose something in lieu of a strike the economy as you point out can't really sustain a nationwide strike of this kind. This is a this is an industry which is vital to the nation, a very substantial portion of more than 30% of the freight moves on the railways and I think that there will be some kind of intervention if there is a strike. Now the real problem is going to be what will be the nature of that intervention and whether this is something that will produce a peaceable relations in the future. Have we seen a rail strike before? We have had rail strikes before. Historically, we've had many rail rail strikes and that is why the Congress in 1926 enacted really the first piece of comprehensive so called modern labor legislation because the railway unions were so strong and the number of strikes were frequent and the Congress even prior to the 1926 intervened imposing arbitration through statutes. So over the years and during the war World War II and indeed as recently as 19 92, we saw a strike and in that case, we saw rapid intervention by Congress and the president. And this is not just passenger rail, people will think, oh, well then I just can't take a train to where I'm going to go for the holidays. We're talking, like you said, you're shipping from ports from ships to warehouses. We're talking about supply chain issues. Yes, yes, absolutely. And there really isn't any substitute for rail. Trucking is the major alternative for the shipping of freight. But trucking isn't in a position to take up the slack. Trucking has severe labor shortages of its own. And it will be limping along badly without the railways relying only upon primarily upon trucking. "Or globe life field, or guaranteed rate field progressive field target fields, chopped in a field, Wrigley Field. I've named all the ball perks at this point, I think. So, well, I guess I haven't named roger center and RingCentral coliseum. So we've got a couple that don't fit in. That doesn't count. Anyway, I think that if you say ball Perkin, I'm Michael's called some baseball in his day. So maybe it's just instinctive for him to say that, but I think it's weird. It's definitely discordant. You would perk up and say, Paul park. I don't think so, right? Yeah. I feel like baseball can claim stadium. It's not weird if you say a baseball stadium. I don't think it's like two way players or three way players field is fine too. Baseball can claim them all, I guess, like baseball can go either way, but I think baseball should kind of have ballpark himself. There used to be a ballpark, like you know what kind of ballpark they're singing about in that song. Right. Yeah. You got the song. That's not a good reason, but it's a reason. You know? Yeah. Yeah, I think ballpark, easy for us to say, I guess maybe we're biased, but well sure. I think. But it's our partnership. So it's fine for baseball. Yeah. All right, and then Stewart, Patreon supporter says, have you ever noticed how many times an announcer refers to the three two pitch as the payoff pitch? Only to see it fell off. Yeah. Maybe it's just joke as tig Leone on Red Sox broadcast. I don't think it is, but pedantically, the first three two pitches very often, not the payoff pitch, which is a fair point. This is reminding me of another previous discussion. I think episode 1603, there was a Jerry Seinfeld complaint about how when teams say or when broadcasters say that a team is down to their last strike, they often aren't because you could get a hit, and then you get three more strikes, and so Seinfeld was saying that you should say that the defense needs one more strike. And I think we were pretty indifferent about this one, and I think it was fine. We were talking about match point as an alternative, maybe something like that. Just because a single plate appearance arguably could contain more than one match point. So I think that it's, you know, as so often these things fall into the well, we know what they're saying. They're saying full count. But I guess it's more accurate to say full count than to say, pay off pitch because it may or may not be. There's a pretty decent chance that it won't be I love a younger, less pedantic time in the podcast history. And then do we get line judges who sit up there and go quiet, please. Thank you. Tennis is weird, man. They do a weird stuff in tennis. Hawkeye replay reviews sometimes soon. Why is there not Hawkeye in football? This is a different conversation, but we're out here with these chains and we're like, this is precise. What's it all? You got technology for that? Yeah. I don't mind payoff pitch, but I don't either. It is true. There is like, you know, it gets you ramped up. It's like it is. Yeah, but it is a little deflating when payoff pitch. And then we'll do it again, you know? So maybe it shouldn't be pay off pitch, but I like that term. I like the phrase pay off pitch. It's a cool one. I wouldn't want to retire that one. But it is true that it's not often or not always the payoff pitch. So if you want to be a stickler, then just say it's three two or safe full camp, but then we'd lose the fun of saying pay off pitch and hearing payoff pitch. Not worth the trade off to me. I agree. I think I agree. Lastly, Connor says I'll keep this brief or short in parentheses. Why do we say that teams hit long balls when they hit home runs, but play small ball when they bunt? Why not hitting big balls? For better yet, playing big ball. The reverse would be fine with me as well. I'd love to hear broadcasters tell me they miss how many short balls you used to see in a game. To me, the status quo seems grammatically inconsistent. It also feels like a missed opportunity for the sport. Do you agree? I'm gonna do a thing I don't normally do on the podcast and I'm going to accuse a listener of really just sending in an email so that they can hear you say big pulse. Yep. I think that that was the purpose of the email. I don't think that you actually care about this I think you just wanted to say big things. And then you wanted me to laugh about it. And guess what? We're giving you what you want. Yeah. I think if this were a serious good faith question and Connor really wanted to know why we don't say big ball or big balls, it would be because it will make people laugh. And we will titter and giggle and get distracted. That's why. But playing big ball, I don't mind it. That sounds like something I could imagine becoming a team slogan. Oh yeah. You know, and like the catch phrase for that team and everyone's wearing their big balls t-shirts or whatever. Oh yeah, I mean, have you paid attention to the little inside celebrations of baseball players? It was one another. 90% of those are explicitly sexual. I'm not saying that they are engaged in any of that behavior amongst themselves, although maybe, and we support you, but like they are meant to evoke just a lot of activity, the results in bodily fluid is all I'm saying. So absolutely. I can't believe that there aren't t-shirts with that already. Because some of the some of the gesture or something like their children watching, and I hope that they have learned something. Yeah. Oh, and did you see the news about the Grand Junction rockies changing their name? You mean the Grand Junction chips? Well, should we start a rated kip in here? So no. BWA Ben. Come on now. I'm in the BBW AHA. We should encourage our Clubhouse yesterday. And so far during this podcast, I have said big balls. Big texted Scott Boris to ask if he came up with Carl's Dior store analogy. Now I'm suggesting that we end up with some booty Mick boat faced kind of result here for the Grand Junction rockies, but to be fair, they opened themselves up to it. Oh yeah. Now I don't think they said that they're definitely bound by the crowdsourced results here, but the grandchildren. So they've learned something about the Internet since the last time we've had this conversation. I guess so. And since the last time they insisted that their name is not the grandchild chubs and never would be, but they're no longer affiliated with the rockies. They were a pioneer league team and lost their affiliation, I think. And so it doesn't really make that much sense for them to be named the rockies or at least not because of their former association with that parent club. So now they're looking for a new name. They're in the market and they're asking for suggestions and fans can submit. Suggestions, so. I think they will get a lot of right in votes for chubs. Yes. And I'm not discouraging that. No. I guess I will stop short of encouraging, I guess I'll stop short of organizing a writing campaign to stuff the ballot box for chubs as the name, but I would not be upset if they were whooshed by chubbs suggestions.

And before we dive right into that announcement, I also wanted to tell our audience that right up until now you were also working on the issue of the transformation of the office at mitel. Yes. That's right. So the transformation office of minefield is really looking at business practices, how people work, clearly, COVID has been a huge act of that. Lots of people have changed what they do. I'm here in the City of London today and people tend to come into town on Tuesdays Wednesdays and 30s and work from home on these on Fridays. If we've been here three years ago, a place would have been found in every day of the week. So that whole new way of working and how people the way they work really at the front of our minds and we're trying to do everything we can to make sure that we're relevant and helping them evolve their best practice as time moves forward. "That's a really tough one. I'm not the best at catchy slogans but you know. I'm i'm a pretty big believer that when you give a lot to others when you take a more selfless view on on how you lead and how you engage others that it gets paid back tenfold and if there is anything that character that was my philosophy in life whether it's personal and friendship or is professional work. It's to work hard. And by the way i will be the first to say. I've probably failed that this many times to work hard to think of how you whatever you're trying to achieve how you do it with others and and maybe get others across the line even before you sometimes and how that ratio of give toget- stays balanced if not skewed towards gifts because that's my belief in the in the long run that comes back in a significant way. So how would you sum that up on the billboard along billboard into go hire somebody who gets a great idea and put it into a catchy slogan. I think i heard give more than you get. You're hired. I love that you're hosting a dinner party and this is hopefully beyond the point. We're all vaccinated at this point. Exactly five people actually be in the room with you you know. Maybe they've cova tested beforehand and everything's everyone safe. You can invite any three people from the president or the past the dinner. Who would you invite and why you know it's funny events. I've been asked this question many times. It's you know it's an interesting question. And i've noticed my answer kind of always changes at the time. So right now. I'd probably pick the dalai lama nelson mandela and bill gates. And the reason i would. There's a couple of characteristics. I throw out there one is i think it's we're at a time where i think we really need to work hard as a as a world on understanding others looking cross culture and really having hope and dalai lama nelson mandela credibly spiritual they were incredibly hopeful had a humanist view of the world still dalai lama does nelson mandela. Did you know. I look at both of those. And say what amazing hopeful spiritual and the world needs a bit of that. And then i threw a bill gates in there. Because i'm bringing science into the discussion. He such an incredibly. He's not ask his interest. I haven't him as he so read on so many topics and the things he's doing with bill. Melinda gates foundation are just so appropriate for the time. So i think that would be pretty amazing trio at a dinner party. It sounds like the dalai lama nelson mandela. Who overcame adversity right. I mean twenty six years in prison and came out with an optimism and wanted to heal the nation so just like his approach was amazing and of course bill. I mean i agree. I was just reading some things about bill and melinda the work that they're doing last night and i am continually just inspired by all up to work. He does so. I love to join you for the dinner. Maybe i could. I come in for a drink before. Or after house that i said and vince. I'll okay. I'm i'm in a minute. Why group it's quite a group..

"That's a really good question. If i had to narrow down as far as a pivot point. I'm going to hang on that word. That part of the question there were probably so many points in my career. That could have gone one way or another career acceleration for me. There were to the things that sometimes happen in career. Acceleration this intersection of life and work. The i was moving away from the city that my wife and i grew up with that grew up in and it was the first time we relocated and that was a really big decision. And i'm not. You know always encouraging relocating for anything is necessary to have a growing successful career but it certain opened it certainly for us. I call it team surgeon and opened up for us this willingness to look at more things and that alone led to my first. I'll call it accelerated opportunity. Because i went from job that you know like if you were looking at a career path..

"Long time every day. You're cannibalizing something else. As you're building. Something new and i think that's the hardest thing is keeping up with the pace of innovation and reinventing yourself regularly with you know it's and it's not always a wholesale reinvention. It's it's bringing new lines of business new lines of revenue in as the things that you used to do that. Filled largely contributed to european l. Potentially become less valuable commodities or even just not relevant. How do you show them the way couple of different things. I think one is helping them understand. You know. I think each company that has a party system has a responsibility to say. Here are the various ways that you can build a business. A profitable business off of our platform. Here is the potential areas. Here's what we're seeing in the market. The potential extensive ability. So i think that's one art. I think sharing examples of partners in the ecosystem that have been successful most are willing. They won't give away their their alcohol. It very specific. Ip generally helping them understand how they have how they've been successful is something. They're generally willing to share. So we try to showcase a lot of the partners that have have made the the transformation and candidate some of it is bringing in new partners interior team that you know that. Really keep everybody fresh new companies coming in with new perspectives. You know they become the competitors to others but but it pushes everybody along. That's what makes this market. That's what what makes the innovation in the technology sector so riches there's always somebody new coming in. That's challenging the norm and the companies. that will succeed. Pay attention to that. So i'm a partner. And maybe i don't play in this space or maybe i do. Why should i choose. Or why would i wanna partner with ringcentral. Couple of things is one. Were first and foremost partner. I at the core. So you know one of the first questions i ask is partnering side thing you do or is it court How you drive your business..

"Messaging video in phone. That certainly won't slowdown in twenty twenty one while be hard to top twenty twenty in terms of adding strategic partners in general That we expect more on that front. Which is a validation of our platform is the best plow platform for many companies to power their go to market. Solutions are pipeline is really strong space in. That will be really important to our strategy of how we will grow internationally and just expand our footprint to more markets around the world. I think that. Would i think it will be another year of of partnering. In addition to rapid innovation in the core pillars that define who we are. So we're on elevator ride and you're leading revenue markets in the like at ringcentral and i'm the ceo of a company looking to make a decision here. Why should i choose ringcentral. What would you tell me the suming. We already had the conversation that they knew who had ringcentral was but they were looking to make a decision us versus our competitors. I would just tell them. We're her tell him or her. That we have a single easy to use platform for voice video meetings team messaging and contact center. We under that. We understand the importance of security and data privacy and we build our platform understanding that. The cost of downtime is so So critical to accompany and and it's why we are the only company in our space with a five nine. Sla probably just remind him or her that our position as a leader in the u. Cast space is not our perspective. Alone gardner has had us in the farthest right position of the leader quadrant for you casts for the last six years. I did not know that. That's amazing actually. I would love to pivot here a little bit as you know. This is the ultimate guide to partnering. You had you do love partnering and your background is such. I mean you're the channel chief that microsoft and you even before that intuitively led a business. That partner was central to that business growth. So i'd love to peel back with you with based on all of your experiences ear at ringcentral and previously on what makes a great partner. What do you believe what characteristics do you believe. Make a great partner. You know the thing that sets partners apart that i've Evangelized for quite some time. Is i think it starts with the ability to create unique differentiated. Ip or capabilities. That truly stand out in the market Every company that has a partner ecosystem. There's really like us to netted down to two things they're trying to achieve its reach. They're trying to reach more segments of the market that could be gio distribution or different countries in the world that can be different customer segments and it's extending their own capability it's recognizing that you can invent everything and that the assets in value That other companies just enhances your solution and.

"And everything else without them. Having to be if you will a contractor of all the pieces to bring a communication system together and some of that's very complex from what. I understand that sure. Yeah and and it's it's not surprising. Why in this space if you look at companies we have from small businesses to extremely large enterprises but many small businesses made the move. I because they didn't have fully built out and they didn't have. They couldn't didn't have the capacity to manage large pbx on premise. You know the complexity of those systems plus all of the third parties it potentially after work with around it so they've moved as but it's definitely something that is that companies of all sizes and truly across the globe are are looking at and moving quickly to so you're the chief revenue officer of ringcentral q. Tell us a little bit more about your role and your mission in that role. Yeah i in fact. I'm responsible for go to market at ringcentral in which i have the customer segments so we have smb segment and enterprise segment. I have a channel chief who works for me. Who runs the broad channel. Then we've made some significant announcements in terms of strategic partnerships over the really over the last little over a year and those partnerships are quite large scale. Those report to me. We've stood up a global service provider business unit because our ringcentral solution also powers other companies solutions. That's the essence of our strategic partnerships. And we're also doing that with companies like at and t. tell us british telecom bt. We recently announced vodafone is a is abroad partner. That's taking us to fourteen countries in europe and then the last group that reports to me is our isv group which really works on immigrations. It's important for our customers that we have that live in a world of heterogeneous computing. Were providing the right integrations into the platforms they use and examples of that would be like salesforce dot com microsoft teams or or outlook slack are examples and then we also have many companies thousands of developers that right to our platform. We have an open. Api environment so we help them. Integrate their solution into our platform. So partnership is really at the core of your go to market strategies. What i'm hearing very very much. So i mean we we we ensure that not only are we establishing partners in. That's been one of the biggest growth areas of our go to market when you think of just introducing the global service provider business unit less than a year ago the strategic partnerships with name. But even with a direct sales force we make sure there's absolute synergy between our our sales teams and the and the channel that we built you. And i both know that's critical to a successful channel model absolutely absolutely and we're going to ask a couple questions with regards to partnering specifically but i'm still interested in learning more about what you're seeing now with the transformation like. What are you seeing customers more willing to do now today than a year ago. You know. I think the thing that is more prevalent today than a year ago is really in in terms of speed you know. I don't think that there's could point to a single say capability in the market whether it's hobby platform infrastructure sas and the many solutions from line of business to ah call more infrastructure like. It's not about capability..

"Wow that's astounding and you know you're at the heart of this growth. Market this transformation. We've all been seeing experiencing almost a year now you know. A competitor. zoom went from a startup to being a verb last year. Teams is on the rise. I think one hundred fifteen million active users what is ringcentral is unique place in the market. You talked about ubiquity across devices and maybe a broader set of competencies in the market. Where are you known in. What is your unique place there. It's an interesting question. I'd suggest that what makes us unique. Is that. we didn't grow over the last year on a single secular trend the pandemic exacerbated the need for companies to enable their employees to communicate and collaborate more effectively to be more mobile and to be more data driven. I like i've had so many conversations with companies on those points and it's not just one part of our platform our value proposition across messaging. Video and phone is really at the heart of helping helping companies achieve that and the way we set it up the speed of implementation the simplicity in onboarding that brings speed to organizations to realize those benefits and i think it's that combination of a of an integrated simple platform that really addresses at the heart of helping helping companies be more mobile and communicate and collaborate more effectively. Are there specific markets where you're seeing the most growth well. The pandemic's probably accelerated every company's digital transformation. By five years. You know. I read a number of things in the industry where people have talked about the last seven or eight months as look like five years of transformation that companies go to and in that sense. It's definitely been a tailwind for us. But you know as i mentioned a moment ago. We don't think everything was fully driven by the pandemic and the need for more from home. In fact we really think we're work from anywhere company and that will be the most important thing is we get through the pandemic in the next twelve months. So when you ask what markets i think of any market that is facing an employee base that is that needs the flexibility to work from anywhere and to be effective across all the different communication modes from messaging to video to voice and those even need to move sometimes even have to move between it. You started a conversation voice and then you determined it would be more effective to share and have a video discussion to do that. In the context of a single community a single call or a single communication is really powerful. I think about telephony in that comment am i right in maybe presuming that. The telephony link is an area of differentiation for you and for ringcentral will for sure and one of the aspects of that makes our our solution so simple for a customer is. We're actually a carrier and as a result we can provide the end to end solution inclusive of porting numbers..
