", listen up, you no longer have to prepare for trains to only come every 25 minutes. On Monday, metro had said there would be long delays because the system was pulling drivers for retraining as mandated by its oversight agency. Now it appears the safety watchdog had a change of heart. After metro's board and operations team held an hour long press conference discussing the Washington metro rail safety commission safety directives, which metro's general manager said would not actually improve the safety of the system, we're learning that the WMS is issuing a stay of one of those mandates. Metro no longer has to pull more than 50 train operators out of the driver's seat and back into training. However, what may gum up the system is mandate that's still in place, requiring metro return to more frequent inspections of the 7000 series cars, which will result in fewer trains in daily operation. As double the TOP's ridiculo reports this morning, the little girl was apparently in the backseat of a car stolen from outside a Northern Virginia restaurant. Fairfax county police say the girls step dad left the car's engine running while he went inside to pick up food at the restaurant in the 6200 block of little river turnpike. The child was found less than an hour later in downtown Washington, near 13th and east streets northwest, police are searching for the person who did it and the stolen car, a 2012 gray Honda accord with a black hood and damage to the front and rear. Several LGBTQ ally groups in the fairfax county area are speaking out this week against the school board candidates who shared a video of himself apparently pretending to be the parent of a transgender child. Our news partners at NBC four say Republican Jeff Hoffman recorded a call with the anova pride clinic, which provides medical care to transgender patients. I have a I used to say beautiful boy. I'm the stepfather. During the call, Hoffman implies that a local LGBTQ ally group called FCP S pride is sending students to the clinic for gender conversion therapy. While Hoffman told the receptionist in that call that he wanted to learn more about the clinic, he confirmed to NBC four that he lied in an attempt to get more information about FC PS pride. And now that organization is speaking up. But it is just goofy. It's facially inaccurate. That was Robert rigsby with FCP S pride. Dude, this morning on double TOP. "Formerly known as Annie currently known as diamond, creek balm, and today there will be no we Nick my beloved co host in front is currently in Portland with his most precious gift this year, his son, who was born a little over a week ago on November 29th. His name is Rafael Steven axelrod welk, and he came 9 weeks early, so while he's in the best hands, he's getting some skin to skin snuggle time. I saw on Instagram and he's going to stay in the hospital for a few weeks while he gets a little bit bigger. So Nick has things other than podcasting to focus on right now, so it just me, but don't touch that dial because Nick will be joining us later in the episode for our pre recorded segments with our guest. Multiple noted Friends of the pod in cultural savants, Chris black, who is here as a representative of the bougie, straight boy community, and our guiding light, both on and off the peloton, Cody rigsby. But first, I'm going to talk about one thing that I want to give or receive. And that is aspirational hair accessories. These are great because nobody can have too many. You can get them in a range of price points, and you don't have to worry about size. And if you're not sure what kind to get the person that you would like to gift, look at their Instagram, see how they wear their hair and go from there. I discovered the world of expensive aspirational hair accessories through a really old school pharmacy here in New York called zider. You can get the brand I'm about to suggest there. It's in the Gabriel side. You could spend hours going through all their little rhinestones and silk and wool and insane hair accessories, some are not really my style. I prefer the class look. Anyway, but the brand I love, and you can chop them online, they have an incredible selection is called France Luxe.

"Also joining us is our pal writer cat chow. Welcome back cat. Hi. And rounding out the panel is NPR political reporter Danielle Kurtz Levin. Welcome back Danielle. Yay, thank you. I'm so excited to have you all here. I feel like we should be doing big hype up kind of chatter, but if you're not familiar with peloton, they make stationary bikes that show you a video workout. You can follow along with. They have instructors who follow a lot of different styles, do classes with a wide range of levels of difficulty. You can also subscribe to the video workouts without having the bike, you just don't get quite the same neatly packaged and very expensive experience. They also do make a treadmill that's back on the market after being recalled over safety issues and they have yoga and strength classes and things that are like guided breathing stuff like that. Cody rigsby, the cycling instructor who's probably their biggest celebrity landed on Dancing with the Stars last year and as a lot of you may know a peloton workout played a major role in the first episode of the Sex and the City revival. That's running on HBO Max as we speak. So it's a whole thing. A couple of caveats before we get underway. First of all, you do not have to have a pricey peloton bike to follow this weird universe, and you also do not have to use peloton at all to use an indoor bike for exercise. We must stress. Fitness studios exist like SoulCycle, other ones, plenty of other gyms from cheap to expensive exist. And my own grandparents, my grandparents had an exercise bike in their basement in the 1980s. Peloton is not done anything interesting or groundbreaking by suggesting people ride stationary bikes, which despite peloton's move into other arenas remains the thing they're most known for. So the conversation we're having is less about peloton as any kind of exercise revolution and more about it has developed a pop culture identity that's been essential to getting people to frankly part with money. So the fact that this is all highly commercial and highly cultural, rather than it being like a healthcare company or something, in fact, they call themselves a media company, which I think is very interesting. So fascinating. All of those caveats having been said. Danielle, how long have you been a palatinian? I got one in the early days of the pandemic when it became clear that I think that puts me in the same boat as a lot of people. When it became clear that I couldn't use the gym in my apartment building, certainly not the NPR gym where I was a reasonably regular regular. And you know, I'm pushing 40, I can't run every day anymore, so I figured I needed something, and I had been hesitant to get a peloton for a long time because I thought that's unnecessary..

"Part of this, right? Let's talk about that for a second because if you have a primary product and you want to diversify your revenue stream. Of course, you start looking at products that kind of surround your area, right? But then you bump up into things and you go to your former BFF and you're like, I'm moving into your area. And of course they're going to get ticked, right? Yeah. But at the same time, how far can you differentiate from your old bestie when you're making sports bras and young pants? I've seen some of them I've seen. Like I've looked at the documents for some of the patents for Lululemon and some of the stuff that they're doing with their clothing has to do with wicking moisture and tech that has to do with fabric and things like that. That is advanced tech. But like, I just want a pair of yoga pants that does give me camel toe. That is exactly what I'm going after can either one of these companies give it to me for real. But when it comes down to it, it's kind of like the shoe patent thing, like a shoe is a shoe. Companies are always claiming like, oh, they stole my design. But a functionality of a shoe is hard to change. And I'm wondering if part of that is what we're seeing here that there's only so many different things you can do with athleisure unless you get highly technical with the fabric. Yes. Right. It's like you can't patent or trademark function, but you can patent or trademark fashion. That's why every three days Adidas is suing someone for using like three stripes on something, you know, 'cause it's not part of the function. It's the fashion of it, right? So it's how do I feel about this? I don't know. I don't know. Like, moisture wicking and advanced fabrics. Do not belong to Lululemon. Like, yes, maybe they have specific patents for these items, but the ideas that everyone's going after, that doesn't belong to them. I can see how you might be able to create a better bra, a broader sports bra because that's kind of like everybody wants to. So I can see how you can have some differences and product. But when it comes down to it, the basic design is pretty much the same, right? Right, right. So this is one where I would love to be. I don't think this is going to go to a courtroom, right? Where is this going to go? A conference room? I would love to be in this conference room. I would just love to be like sitting in the back. I want to be the cousin Greg of this whole thing. I'm gonna bring Sabrina with me though because you heard her chatting about this. She has clearly chosen a side, but I don't know which one. I think it's peloton because she hears me listening to Cody all the time. I'm a big Cody rigsby fan. I'm assuming that's one of their cult leaders slash exercise people. That is a cult leader slash instructor, he's the spin instructor who hits the right combo of girl power and burrito bowls. Oh, okay. Yeah, I'm with you. Yeah. Yeah, so after we record this show, I'm gonna. Well, I'm gonna drink a whole lot of water first, 'cause I'm having a beverage. And then I'm gonna get on that bike. I'm doing it. Does devotion to that company? Do you think that would make you more willing to buy their clothes that they put out for real? You know, I look every time they send me an email about a new apparel collection or about a sale. And it's still too rich for my blood. Because I've worn a lot of high end athleisure in my adult life and honestly I still get the best return on stuff that comes from target. Really? Yeah, I know that they have a $1 billion private label athleisure brand right now that is doing amazing. That's what you're going after. Yeah. Granted my favorite was when they had C 9 by champion. They don't have that anymore. But you know, at the end of the day, I do not have a lifestyle that requires a $65 sports bra. Yeah. I just don't. I do want to clarify that I don't have that peloton bike. I spend my money on shoes, not on exercise. Oh, you have the app. Yeah, I have the app and a bike. I call the peloton. Because it's faux. It's the faux peloton. You can use it while you're wearing your folks. Exactly. Okay, if you hear purring now, that's also Sabrina the intern. She's now on my shoulders like a parrot. It's just sometimes I just can't control her. Like parents, do you ever make a snack for your kids and hope that they'll stay quiet during the conference call? And then it backfires. This is my life today. Except it's with a cat. She's 6 pounds, not even. Oh, Lisa, she's pretty cute. She is good being you're cute. Good thing you're cute. Okay, please leave. Don't go that way. Okay, bye. Bye. Okay, is it time for more ridiculous news?.

Excuse me. Um, but in a in an effort to get the brand out there even more, Um, Athleta is going to have a curated selection of the Their merchandise. At R E I So I mean, I'm sure there's some crossover and for people who are regular R E I shoppers that could be can. The other thing that I saw this week is that peloton is going to have their own line of clothing already. They've had a few things, but not not much, but they're going to do a full Line of clothing. I have to tell you, I earned a T shirt. You know, when you relation to the century club when you make it to 100 rides, they send you a T shirt. Really? Yes, but it doesn't fit. Well, I was really disappointed. I was like Cody Rigsby. An alley. Love would not wear this. Why doesn't it fit? Right? Is it tight? No, It's just like it's just like the sleeves are too poufy, but it just It's just like I don't know. I just felt like it was ill fitting. And I was very disappointed that I was going to be proud to wear it. Yeah, but Anyway, they've been doing some cool stuff with, um They did a line with Adidas and they've there. I would love to know. From anyone who has bought. I mean, what a great marketing platform Because if you are a pellet in user you're sitting there staring at the instructors in their clothing for 2030 45 minutes And so if you like what they're wearing, Boom, you're like, okay, there actually. Was this really adorable pair of workout? Um, leggings that I liked enough that I went to pollutants site. To look at buying them. But you know what? I got scared off because all the reviews said that they were so thin. They were like seeds. Remember when Lululemon had the intentionally through? Yeah, that the that the material was just super thin and it didn't. It wasn't great. I mean, the The insider was telling about the collection, which is going to it's going to be a mix of men's women's and gender neutral, um, costume between 15 to $118. And that it's going to be direct competition to Lululemon and Nike. Well, so quality is there. I'm just Yeah, I'll be. I'll be curious to see it. And you know who's going to run that division? Who? The wife of the CEO of pellets? John Foley, is the CEO. Yeah, His wife is right in jail. Foley is going to be running this. We do have pellet in showrooms here in town. I mean, they're in a lot of cities now, but I mean, we have one at Mall of America. We have one at Galleria, so hopefully they'll have the clothing there and you'll be able to actually shop it in person to see how it see how it looks in. And where's Um, How about our friend Tracy Ellis Ross? She keeps busy. Yes, she does. She is working with J crew. And I like this partnership a lot. And boy J crew needs to do something. They do A and they've got great. Commercials that I've seen running with her. Oh, really? I Yeah. I thought I thought on actually on Instagram. Okay, but I'm sure it will be running. You know, like a video, not just video. No, a video of her in different out finishing being funny. She's just rationing, fashioning cute, throwing a basketball and, you know, Okay being with other people, and this is not Tracy Ellis. Designing for J crew. This is just her being their spokes model, right? Hunt face with their fault collection, which looks Well, she makes it look great. Yeah, well, she looks good in just about anything. Yeah. I mean, it's easy for her to pieces that you were coveting. There was kind of an overview of this of the collection. I don't know that all these pieces are online. Coveting. I think they are online. She had a double breasted blazer and pants that were that was cute and puffer jackets. Um, yeah. Here it is. The new fall collection. There you go. Oh, yeah. Make a scene ce any with Theresa? I just like there's a lot. She looks great in the pale. Um, the pale. He used the pale yellow to pale. Pale pink to Yeah. Great jackets. Yes, Yes, sure. Um, no, I think you know, I think they did a smart and also in a sexy slip dress. Silk charmeuse slip dress That was, you know, Pretty on her. Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, We're if you if you've kind of been if you haven't checked out J crew in a while, it might be a reason to give them another look. And I think that pale pink trench coat is going to be a hot item. I think you're probably right about that. Yeah, thing at the other one that I found really interesting is Banana Republic because Banana Republic Um, I don't know if a lot of people even realize that banana Republic in their heyday had a whole sort of safari. Look. Oh, my gosh. I remember when they started, I am going to completely date myself. Here. Okay, well, that it's any big surprise, but, um If you if you hearken back to the glory days on Nicollet Mall when the conservatory exists. Oh, okay. I There was a banana republic in the conservatory. This is when it was like super exciting. You would dress me up to go downtown, and there's a restaurant in the lobby there. That was cool. It was a weird shopping center. Do you remember because there was nothing central about it. You had to like we've around the aisles, and that was part of its downfall. But there was a big banana republic. So that's the first place I remember going to it, and it was all safari. It was nothing like what it has come to be. And I remember being in the shop. I think for the first time maybe it was in Florida. And it was so unique and so much fun the way it was laid out with all of the kind of equipment and they have decided, and it'll be really interesting to see. You know what happens that they want to go back to their roots, and they are revamping their brand identity and this is going to happen. They're launching on September 28th. And they said that their new positioning is reflected through a campaign dubbed Imagined Worlds, which reflects Banana Republic as it was originally conceived a fictitious territory far away unknown place that is part of explorers, folklore and adventurers lore. So you know, I think it's going to be very interesting to see If they can do is they're going to modernize their stores. They're going to obviously really changed the appearance of their story. That's what I'm curious about, because I mean that's going to require a major change to their stores, which just look very kind of standard. Absolutely. There's nothing interesting nothing about, although they did try a couple years ago, pre pandemic To really elevate the Mall of America surgery. Remember that they painted one of the walls black and they tried to make it a little more interesting, but not Not like this. A have struggled over the years, and they feel that doing this and bring it back to its roots. They want to do more casual looks. And they said that are meant to redefine how the brand thinks about fashion like Shangri La, Middle Earth Westerners or Wauconda. Banana Republic is an imagined world. So you know, it's supposed to be more of a imagined world of high rise tapered cargo pants. Yes, I will say I'm on their website right now and fall. I mean, I don't know. I just get excited about fall in general, but in and I feel like we didn't really have a fashion season last year, So I mean, it does look really fresh. There's a lot of like Cream tones and, um, you know, and browns and then bright pops of yellow and tomato red. It's a good idea. I think you know, it's a unique musician, because I think would have just another story. It's just become like basic like work pants and tops. It will be interesting to see what happens and quickly I do want to mention, Um, target is launching their first Ever product assortment for Latin heritage Month is that start begins on the 15th of September and goes till October 15 through thereabouts. Okay, and they are. This is the first time they've done this. They're going to have a complete assortment of Clothing for adults and Children, Spanish writing, UM books movies, and they'll also have some Latino owned brands like even those frozen food company, Cocina 54. As well as exclusive products that are designed by Latin artists..

"Shumpert cody rigsby. Malara harden kenya more. The laura hardy matt james christine. Shoot laura hard. Melanie c joe. Joe z dancing. It's written in the laura hard dancing with the stars premiered september twentieth on. Abc and stream. On who like the repelling line allegedly the original one where she goes dancing. It's written in the stars dancing. it's written in stocks. Like what does that mean. What that means but tagline. What does it mean though. What does he dancing stars. That's like it's fate this show coming back as part of the universe. Now it's part of the truth. Oh our yards and dancing with the stars is a forever double meaning meaning. You're dancing with the famous people. The stars we call our stars stars but also something about space. That's always but i don't think it has anything to do with. I think it means fate. I think it means like it's but also the is like but who's written with the stars. I'm telling you it's just a terrible terrible terrible plot actually written in the stars. I mean i guess you could say it's like inevitable in that when olivia jade was implicated or her parents implicated in operation varsity blues. Some people thought. Wow she's definitely going to be updates at the stars one of these days the stars on dancing with ours. Yeah in any case they really buried the lead they told us about. Joe c. wa. They told us. About who else did they tell us about. Suny senior the oldest about sunni. But they didn't tell us about moore hartman laura harden. They really didn't understand us and what we wanted to know. Which was that. Laura hardened was dancing dancing with stuff. That's going to be of again. We've talked about this every season but the categories spread of this lineup is just iconic it is. We have no overlap. I mean bear. You know we have the only overlap literally no overlap reality show if you were like oh reality show as a general topic isn't a reality show these acts. It's all a real scandal. You from washington dc to hgtv. It's all reality to me baby. You you have one peleton. Guy like the emerging stardom of the fitness influence or you have a classic relative. Got someone who hasn't been in the news. Recently mel. see your country singer. No one's heard of jimmy allen and then. You have. Brian austin green. Who will probably if they don't do this album either. Version of this the version of dancing with the stars where he dances with china and the version of dancing with the stars where he dances with not arna. Both of those are funny. Like both of those who else is going to dance with sharona. He's clearly dancing with gina but get adds a little more excitement to like not put him with his girlfriend. I mean it doesn't it just doesn't make sense to not put him with shauna unless sharma was like. Oh this is my job. That's my life. I would like to keep them severin but like who is shorten rules as we said christine chew we said mel c jimmy allen. He'll iman shumpert. what's her face. Is husband tanna taylor's husband. "Against rick on these inferior quote unquote inferior rix so the potential to turn evil. Even if you wanted to escape. Rick in the first place is definitely there. I mean that's a great commentary and perpetuation of like love. It the fact that like you know most abused people well. I wouldn't say most a lot of people that are abused have a high risk of turning into abusers themselves. Because it's all they know you think it'd make your stomach but like you know it can turn you into fucking narcissist or some of the bird borderline personality disorder and it just or a fox nihilists. Let's say she that morning he had to do to escape. This central finite curve. Look at the carnage. Look at the number of maurice that were murdered manufactured and murdered under his brule his system. Here all outside of it. Get the fucking matrix analogy of it. You know this is. This is Combination morpheus and architects is hard to deny. Because just like morpheus and neo were perhaps content the separate one hundred. You know like you know. Kill an infinite number of humans connected to the matrix. because they're not really human. They're not really like you know they are. They're they're the same minds are trying to free. But they're still imprisoned they can turn into agents that could betray. You can do all these things you can see that more feels that way it. But but it is wild because the carnage is cosmic in scope like it it by breaks morning at some point and i i thought like the you know where it's it's very funny too. Because morty he knows like okay how do i get all the risks to do the wrong thing. I know i'll tell him. It's kind of like scary. Terry you can run. But you can't hide like everyone stay where you are and don't leave. Oh which is going to make all the rigsby like fuck it. We got to get out here. And so they're all getting destroyed by their their their portal guns and the smart wrecks are like. Hey i got the way out. We just is project phoenix which they've established but then he's rerouted them all that this blender thing and turning all this tainted portal right fluid and their blood and gore and focusing like a laser of rage that he's breaking the universe with a pretty pretty fucking epic. It's telling that in an episode season rather that they showed us literal hell with tooth hell raisers and cinna bites and pinheads. This is probably the most fucked up thing. I've seen this season. Yeah yeah i mean it is. Yeah when they all start getting rerouted to deposit have the bass maddox in the bottom. Yeah and like you know. As as more he sees on his gore pumping through the system uses cheeses. Christ it's.

"All right welcome back. This is the last part of a show where we go through our recommendations for things that our listeners might enjoy. Andy you our guest so you get to go first. What is your recommendation. While hope it's okay. I actually have two recommendations. I have a high brow recommendation and i have a low brow. Recommendation highbrow recommendation is a book. I just read by patrick writing kief of the new yorker. It's called empire of pain and it's this truly like amazing Very fat volume. That is the entire history of the sackler family. This family that that's Basically created the opioid epidemic. I think it's fair to say by running this the small pharmaceutical company purdue pharma and just absolutely popularizing the the use of oxycontin in america. And you know as they even describe it kind of raining pills on everyone in the country and getting millions of people addicted to this incredibly harmful drug And it's just a wonderfully reported and tolls at the book that's kind of like succession knits to show succession but over multiple generations and with this incredible underlying like very high impact historical value Very cool my low brow recommendation. I know lauren is a A peleton fan. I believe or at least. The peleton critic reviewer cult member cult member. Yeah i i have my own jenky. Peleton type set up. Where i put my bike on a trainer that i like watched very violent movies on an ipad and i recently watched a mortal combat than the new mortal combat in this set up and it was just kind of exquisitely gross and there was just like a minimum of talking between people hitting each other and tearing each other's limbs off and mine's out and things so that's my second recommendation. Needs cody rigsby. And you have mortal combat is cody one of the top people. Obviously obviously yes. I love that handy. That's great lauren. What's your recommendation. My recommendation is an incredible story by a heaney. Vara in believer magazine this week. It's called ghosts willing to it in the show notes and she basically contacted open. Ai which we've written about in wired a bunch before and opening i has developed this machine. Learning model called gp t. Three that has gotten a lot of attention lately and basically what it allows you to do. Is you plug in some texts in. It spits out text for you writes things for you in a very human-like way and Heaney story is that she. Her sister died when they were when they were young when they were both in in high school and she writes about despite being. You know a professional writer How she's never really been able to write honestly about her sister's death and and how you know traumatic. It was for her And so what she did is she she used. Gpt three to like start sections of the story. She would author certain sentences at the top and then cheap t. Three would fill in the rest based on notes that she was feeding it. And the resulting story is kind of this multi chapter Really hauntingly beautiful and sad story. And it's it's not only you know. Sort of remarkable because of the heaney's approach to writing this and the fact that she's in technology but that technology has captured this experience in such a moving way and so Mike hat tip to you because you shared it in our slack thread this week and i just thought it was. It was really remarkable. So that's my recommendation this week. Check it out and also make a lot of my Smartphone reviews to you from this point. Forward we'll just be written by. Gp throw three. I can't even say it. that's fine. it'll correct itself so mike. What's your recommendation. This week My recommendation is a podcast series. That's part of the ringers. The big picture podcast. Which is the ringer the publication. Does this big podcast about movies. And it's very good They've been breaking form a little bit over the last month. And inserting this miniseries. It's an eight episode mini series hosted by a former wired. One brian raftery. It is called gene and roger and it is a mini series about cisco and ebert. So if you don't know gene siskel and roger ebert. You are probably younger than me. Because i was growing up. These two guys were on television every week talking about movies and this was like pre internet. The only way to find out whether or not movie was any good was to watch siskel and ebert and they had this really interesting rapport to film critics. Two guys from chicago middle aged men in sweaters sitting in a theater talking about movies and they're like passionate and intelligent and had all these wonderful things to say and of course they always gave the thumbs up thumbs down was like riveted by this show. I never missed it for years. And years the whole time. I was growing up and You know roger ebert Passed away. I think about eight years ago. Gene siskel passed away about twenty two years ago. So they've been gone for a while but Their shadows still loom large over american criticism. Like if you if you're reading film reviews now if you're reading cultural criticism now. There is like no doubt that the person that you're reading the words that you're reading were influenced by these two guys. the podcast takes you back to how they grew up how they met their first attempts at making the show which were bad and then there later successful attempts at making the show. And then there's sort of ascendancy into i condemn of icon hood i condemn of american pop culture It's really fascinating. So if you have fond memories of gene siskel and roger ebert and if you have fond memories of growing up Thinking that the most intelligent thing you could do to speak fondly about art and culture than you will love this podcast so check it out. All you have to do is subscribe to the big picture and the episodes show up in the big picture. Feed so gene. And roger hosted by brian raftery. That's that's my wreck excellent. would you say thumbs up. i would give it two thumbs up. Good yeah good. Perfect all right. Well that is our show andy greenberg. Thank you for joining us as always explaining all this deeply technical stuff. Thank you for having me as always and thank you for listening. If you have feedback you can find all of us on twitter. Jessie nelson and wax-figure in new york city. Like they gotta be london. The madame toussaud's in san antonio actually called louise too. So that's a who never heard of louise. Who's they're like. Now the alamo. Like as our i don't know davy. Crockett will the predators. They're the only when they have a website is. The predator is in the character. The predator alien and the predator alien versus predator. Louise sewed waxworks. who's in there. I wanna see. I'm going to the trip advisor for these. Oh it's a lot of character. Oh johnny depp. okay. I don't care. We got johnny depp. We got sandra bullock. Because she shot miss geniality and san antonio does big deal for us okay. Interesting grasping at straws lady gaga to meet dress not really related to san antonio history. But i'll take it incredible meat dress very specific Robert pattinson and kristen. Stewart and taylor lautner as their twilight characters. Do you think that when an madame toussaud's are like the higher profile wax museums when they get the new era so when they're like okay gaga is a star is born now so we're gonna like we're going to put the meat dress somewhere else like. She's not not relevant to her anymore. Do you like then. San antonio like lesser wax museums than get to bid on the items that they can then bring to their wax museums as like the cast-offs you know. I bet that is exactly. What happens lindsey. Do see what i'm sending you know. Offense to san antonio's wax museum but they got the c to d team when it came to look at this ryan reynolds. I'm sorry i'm sorry. Ryan reynolds a beard and moustache like this okay. Like which era is this insane. Look at daisy ridley. I'm sorry if you're if you're waxes even has daisy ridley list. You know to be rude. But like this ryan. Reynolds wig is worse than most drag queens. Like most drag queens a have a better wig situation than this ryan reynolds get it together. I don't know who this is an address. But it's not stephanie german. Okay we know that is. It's look just like a girl names stephanie. Stephanie it's not. This is seventy seven with for sure. You're listening to who's there with the call in show. Take your questions. Comments concerns at six one nine who them. Let's start with comments. Hiram bobby pausing the podcast to tell you the alley love has started very slowly posting pictures of her wedding weekend in so far they appear to be sponsored. They are all about her flight and hashtag. My united jury because she took united. So there's a whole thing going to be sponsored. That's why she needed more followers. I don't know. I don't even know what to say about that. Crunch crunch could be a wedding hashtag. Honestly my united journey. But she's talking about the airline. I do like this Airline sponsor is like the complete opposite of having your luggage loss by air. France like is on the other side of the spectrum. I'm also pleased to see another caller interested in alley. Loves marriage other than like me. You and our friend franny. Who was the person who called in last time has been texting us like updates. I don't think we got past the the When she went private we didn't get to it. And she did not accept me so franchise on the inside sending us all these updates did see her united journey to. She looks like she's in first class. Ready for takeoff and the excitement is real. The united hashtag. No united churning. You've got united sponsorship. And they're like well. You're coach deal but you're you're in the middle seat next to the bathroom but is free. It is free it is free so please make sure to hashtag hashtag my united journey. What's worse my united journey or hashtag shingles virus. That's too but they did get which. I'm actually impressed by. They got page six coverage by. Francesca picardy when they said they were married. It said they got married right. Peleton's ali love. Mary's andrew haines in mexico. I know we're encouraging this by even covering her. But i soon after i saw the page six tweeter whatever. I saw another thing that was like to like to soul cycle or to peleton instructors. I get engage. I'm calling for a moratorium. I need all of us to band together. And stop covering like these people. Like i think and i all of them soul cycle peleton's equinoxes whatever whoever comes about. I think that they're all lovely. I love to exercise but i. They are not deserving of the the tabloid pages like. It's too much. I don't work cody. Rigsby went on a hike with his boyfriend. I don't need to know that i'm sorry. And we went on a hike with his boyfriend. I'm just making that up making that up. But like i just want to say i'm taking a stand against the coverage of these people. I think they're great. But i don't need to see it and that's what al i'll say the last thing i'll say. Is that the page six coverage points out that like unlike a lot of celebrities who truly have a lot of spare time peleton. Instructors are busy. John's but wait. It says fellow peleton. Instructors cody rigsby love. Well hannah core been jesse simms to day. Oh you name and robin zone. All attended the nuptials but came back in time to resume their beloved live classes. They had to go back to work. Peleton was like you can all go because it's great. Pr for us. But you can't miss your class. I feel that see. That's what i'm saying. We can't let people we can't let these people get too big for their quote unquote spandex britches. Because then they'll stop doing their lives classes that you guys love song cycle remotely at peleton mexico. And they're like no honey. You need to be in studio on monday. True kind of hard to take that work on the go. Unfortunately for them. Okay next call when you probably. This is the question dr.

"It was kind of Peak kardashian or kind of like the last breath of peak kardashian and it fell like all they did was hang out with people that worked for them so therefore those selena show right so they were surrounded by essentially hairdressers stock you know stylists makeup artists and agents and managers and stuff like that to the point where those people themselves would get like famous but since then there hasn't been much i mean i think like obviously stylists are often talked about fashion week and you know all of that like law roach remains. I think very much talked about like he was just on the cover of like hollywood reporter. Something like that some some magazine and it lists yeah right so like i think that they are still kind of talked about but but not really in the way that when we did vamps although to be fair we like never ever talked about it again. So damps for those of you. Who don't remember early started listening long. That as an acronym terrible acronym that we came up at for trainers hairstylists agents makeup and publicists. It's just shorthand for like people who work for famous people who become vaguely famous in their own industries. Because of that like being in the orbit. But it's also like a very particular kind of closeness like sierra's a great example of it like he's clearly in the bubbles was in like the pandemic bubbles of these people. He's not just their employees. He's their friend. You know like he just happened answer. He got stuck in the bubble. It because they will. You put this lincoln here but like vague. They run a minor controversy. Cj romero and kristen stewart and emma roberts new viral queen emma roberts because they got their hair done mid peak pandemic where people are like. Are they like in a bubble together. Why is getting her hair. Done like this. You know and also taking a photo. I think that's the the white stuff so kristen stewart's hairdresser is notable. Because i feel like every time kristen stewart gets a haircut because of homophobia she gets written about like now. It's is like right like like whoa there her. Here's orange log it's blonde. It's like zainy like girls or boys. What's your deal. Yeah sorry you know that was kind of a joke when it's also kind of serious it's it's serious but also because she's hot and people love her to that they're like they freak out whenever she cuts her hair grows it out. You know. that's another thing. But yeah i mean i that was like why he was relevant before but if you just go to his instagram. It's like pictures of at michael. Of course never out my always there and he's always like oh hang on less than one than michael because he actually does cut hair right like with michael. It's always like what are you doing. What are you providing with this guy. It's unclear what he's doing and providing he is both their her person there stylists sometimes and he's clearly just like cool because i don't think it makes me think of that. Kendall jenner video where She shows her house the eighty tour and she's like this is the back door where my makeup artist semi hairstylist. So they don't have to go to the house like kristen stewart's relationship with jeremiah is such that like he can go through the front door. You know that he cute thing about him. His email is cj. Scissorhands g gmail.com. Tom i thought that was cute. I that was key. I bet he's i bet he's fun now like when you scroll through his instagram and again like instagram performance. You can't believe everything you see. But many of these people come and go there in their lives and then they're out of their lives and this guy seems to be like a permanent fixture inside kristen stewart's life and i do feel kristen. Stewart's friend group is is such that once you're like increasing seward's life you have access to anyone you forgotten what you know and all like the cool girls and the boys are now like would ask you for a haircut and like you basically just like cut all these people's hair and like make a living off that yeah you know the photo that the caller is talking about the one with rita and taika actually benson cetera is captioned by cj. Romero my chosen family. And i'm just like no one's ever made a better choice. Pick me choose me. Choose be cut my air so pick me. Choose me. Love me high. Who weekly highly. Bobby is franny klein. again I just noticed something on my instagram and Alley love and she was saying that she's getting married to weeks. She's had a ton of bride related stuff going up and she has pushed this thing that she's going cries it for her wedding so that only her followers are able to see this stuff. She spent about a week announcing that she's going private. So i'm just wondering is this. He behavior And is it a mean. She's obviously who i think. She's got a lot of followers and do you think that she's sitting there and her wedding accepting follow requests from all these people employed to give numbers I just wanted to see what you thought about it. I'll see you in greece. That's franny calling about a woman. Named allie. Love was apparently a peleton instructor turned influencers. Or maybe the other way around. And she says she also is the founder of her own like spin off. Kind of like Inspirational you know cobra around coaching. She also has tax on her in bio which is very telling anyways. The question is allie. Love made her instagram private. But before she did. She said she's going to post wedding pictures. And that if you wanna see them you gotta get in instagram. Better follow because in one week. I'm gonna go private and then only my close friends are going to see my wedding photos. This woman has seven hundred. Twenty one thousand friends or going to see these photos and if they are somehow pay gated or gated in any way To the public first of all it is debatable. Whether this person is who were not to me even though she does have a big following fitness. Instructors to me don't really like you'd have to really break through to be a who at that for me. like cody. rigsby barely makes a who but the only reason he does. Coast cody peleton. Yeah he is. But i'm just saying like he's the only one i've heard of outside of the like i never heard of this person. Even though she's a big following like he's the only one that broke out for me she gets less coverage than cody rick speed but i think the thing that turns you and to aku from nas status because peleton instructors are clearly very famous like in their niche. But it's like the moment you start getting the the actual tablet coverage the mummy actually circuiting tablet coverage for things other than peleton and she has only recently started getting that on. This wedding may be the thing that turns her from a from a hundred from an ottawa. Who if she's like. I'm putting wedding photos like behind my pay. But i'm also selling them to brides dot com like then we're now we're talking some like who level maneuvering But i think this is definitely who behavior..

"Looking out at the horizon right now. Right below the horizon is a huge blue. See here in kabul. It's the pacific ocean now. The unknown is below that water. I've no idea what's in that ocean of. I do know this. There's over one million species that have been said to be in the ocean one million species. But we don't know what's in the ocean. We don't know what's in there. Have you ever been to the see the ocean and you're afraid to jump in literally are afraid to jump in. It's dark it's murky. It's stormy the tides are up like. I dunno jumping. I don't know what's in there. Well truth be told. Yes our wells. Yes there are dolphins and sharks and we'll here in kabul. There's a lot of mahi mahi and marlin tuna and a lot more but you think about the metaphor of life jumping into the unknown. I've got my eyes on the horizon. But all around the i can see the unknown. The see of beautiful blue crystal blue looks like. We're in the caribbean jumping into the unknown. It is scary. Yes should we do it. Heck yeah heck yeah jumping into your known because let me tell you what. How exhilarating is that when you take a jump into the ocean and it's so refreshing at school and it feels amazing. Think about that jumping into the unknown. It's scary but boy. oh boy. is there something special to it. The fourth lesson of my five lessons for today is something. You could probably here right now. The power of the waves. what's a wave. what is a wave. Have you'll ever gone boogie boarding or body surfing or surfing and you catch your ride. That wave i remember as a kid back in new jersey. My four best friends. That i would have louis luau world championship bodysurfing competition now. It was only five of us but we deemed it the world championship of course and it was all about. How long and far could you take that way. Then did you catch the right wave and who had taken. The furthest waves are energy. Waves are energy created by energy passing through the water and it causes it to have a circular action. that's waves are created. That's how the crest of a wave is formed. it's energy wade's our energy. So think about that. you're a wave. we're all energy. That's what we are. We are energy. Were positive or negative were upward down but we are energy. Can we create big waves in our life. Could we create big waves like we see in hawaii or every now and then there's a tidal wave over overpowers everything. Think about it right now. I'm staring at the sea. I see the horizon. I see the unknown. I see waves right in front of me. Probably two or three foot waves just gently crashing onto the sand where my toes are and i think about the tides of life the tide's coming in and the tide's coming out tiger coming in the tides are coming out matter of fact. When you're done with your work out today. I want you to take three minutes and have some tidal breathing titled t i d a l tidal breathing is just being aware of your breath as we inspire and we tell out. We inhale and exhale. Inhale we tail in and out with your breath pig about that in life as it pertains to waves. Are we all looking to catch a good way to ride. That good wave as long as we can. Let me tell you it feels good. When you're in the louis lou world championship or you're on a body board or you're on a surfboard and you catch a great wave. Perhaps right now in this season of your life you're looking to catch a great wave into riot which you gotta go into the unknown. You gotta paddle out there. You gotta get through three or four big waves sometimes the catch the real good wave. You gotta. you don't know what's underneath case you sit on your board. What's that don't worry. That was just a sea of Of kelp catch a good wave. And then when you do you make sure you ride depth thing as long as possible and the fifth and final lesson here from kalo san lucas as you take a really big deep breath in and out is this the power and beauty of the son of the weather you have you ever been on the sun or been in the sun and the beach like man. It just feels so why think people lay out. Now i don't lay out anymore like some people do but back when i was a kid. I did. Y'all can relate to that you know sitting out in the sun for thirty minutes or or three hours but think about the power of the sun. Have you ever been to the beach. And all of a sudden it's sunny in the flip of a switch. There's a storm brewing. The cloud start rolling in. And before you know there's a nor'easter coming your way. Well the reason. I say the power of the sun is this right now. I'm watching the sunrise. Much the sunrise and there's power in watching a sun rise and a sunset sunrise early morning maybe around six. Am the sunsetting sometime around. Seven o'clock depending on where you live. But if today you can catch the sunrise or sunset today. I promise you will be a better day because of either catching the glimpse of a miracle. A miracle at the sun is rising here and setting on the other side of the world or it setting here and rising in another part of the world. Nothing more powerful than that as dr rick. Rigsby said is when you're dealing with tragedy when you're dealing with tough times the loss of a loved one is you must realize you. You must get up every single day and realize the sun is coming up so of today. You're you're down. You're challenges stressed. You're in a bad place. He telling yourself the sun's coming up the sun's coming up and you gotta get up as well so the five things teach a lot about life. It teaches us to be present in the moment. Right now right here wherever you are doing whatever you're doing the power of being present. It teaches us to keep our eyes on the horizon. My friends today with keep horizon where they need to be not looking left and right and behind you but focused on where you're supposed to be based on your divine purpose by tapping in and meditating and breathing as these waves crash. The beach teaches us about the storms in life and when the storms come that we must ride them out like a ship in the middle of the ocean with turbulent seas. Ride the.

Yeah yeah on below walkout. I was served papers to be visited in two weeks of. I didn't come up with four times. The amount of had my name. We weren't making the money and sells like damn. What do i do my wife. She's like chuck it up. Take the bankruptcy and keep moving. I don't know welcome to do. You can't make you obviously can't make it work. My best friends do go record job. Just you're screwed. That and i sat back as like. I don't know what to do here. Like i had four granted my bank and i was it. That's all i can use. And i chose to invest four grand into a six thousand dollar coach. I literally cleared my bank account and gave it to a guy named pat pat rigsby and he was the fitness space and i was like padding to figure it out and we broke it down fast forward three months. I had not only renegotiated and figure out the lease. I had got the gym business for making seven grand. A month was the seven grand. There was a prophet. And there's no profit was going to bills and people your payroll But the prophet to the point where seven thousand a month to twenty seven thousand a month. We had money. Stockpiled paid off the lease and all the stuff that was behind the buoy killed it. And it's one of those things where it's like. I look back even now as you can tell them like man. I have definitively built this entire business without the support of some of the closest people in my life the closest right the so the pressure not only is like the bill pressure has been times. I had no money. I'm going into things. And i'm like i got no money if this is a workout. I not paying rent and made it work right. My wife didn't get no bus friend and again it. I've had situations where like people didn't believe in the concept of like it's not gonna work doesn't make any sense at all these things but i just had this this thing. I didn't have a belief that the thing would work this very very clear people grass this. I did not always believe the thing would work. But i believe i would work. Yes wow hit the button. That's all those that's how powerful you have to believe in yourself so much. You don't what the all the external things that move moving parts. It doesn't matter. I got i bring either the problem. The big thing is the thing is a problem is inevitable. It's not a matter for the problem is though it's do you feel confident bringing you to that problem. And i always had the sense of like a weird. No one got the sense of belief. I have in my ability to solve a problem. I love puzzles. I love puzzles. I love sitting down and tweaking things and playing with like to figure it out. Just my brain. It really enjoys the process of it. So i know the problems are no more than that. It's just a puzzle. And if i choose to give the puzzle the puzzle remains unsolved and in life house remaining unsolved doesn't just sit there by itself. It collects more unsolved problems right..
