"Go eagles honoring this week Ricky Watters is border eagles legends program presented by some time there Ricky of course won a Superbowl San Francisco yeah one a platinum member they smoke San Diego they did came here first game you didn't endear myself because of the feather river who for what for what that is first game it was his first game it was not televise locally was actually blacked out thank god they get rid of that stupid role with the blackout yeah yeah are those bottle Eskimos blacked out in filling I'm guessing there Ricky had a pretty nice career here and nice career he's is he up he all frame I don't believe so here's an all thing okay because all fame announcements will come about four weeks and for which some yesterday the whole finance deal maker for the for those who have the Superbowl that should be interesting I'd die back to the phones gusts in Allentown you're the fifth quarter ninety for the V. I. P. yeah Bob to quote Larry brown about Phil Jackson the cry babies crash you know instead of fixating on one play the eagle should've won this game could have won this game yes sure sure would have out way out rushed and a hundred yards to like so why did why did they win this game if they still had give I'll give it what limit date the quarterback play was just about what they got the last three or four weeks anyway now once they had they had your date you know that in the end zone like penalty differential was a hundred yards whining about one place the Seattle Seahawks repel like a hundred yards more than eagles seven hundred yards more two hundred yards advantage at home station what they're down there on the fourth down it could it kicked a field goal that would I think they should have kicked a field goal then was to bring IT nine point yeah we're doing if we're doing that I mean if he completes a pass the scores right there right check the video call with your daily al di it out by sure to kick a field now yeah when did they have well since ten down that day there and they give up a pass play to the kid they sure their draft it all a lot of people to if the room does with the game they couldn't stop in there to get the part okay stop on their they still got to go to an in store and get a two point conversion around the fifty big big big big moving the ball between the twenties easily against this awful descends into keen that Seattle ask which race for hours giving them giving away as the one of the reasons why they couldn't score in the red zone as they didn't have Carson Wentz they could come up with a trick play they could have done what the front would work with Gary with Greg ward what the play blew up the great work play even you because it doesn't work once you don't you don't try it again is that it that tries to open weeks ago didn't work on the other day time yelling you they had tremendous it it what would the coach for the cold the former coach of the call said before this game the team that can run the ball will win the game what was that ads no I mean literally no rushing game no it was the rushing in that was the problem the problem is is that they could not stop their defense could not stop one they had Russell of that and that's why they lost and I agree that seventeen points today yeah they in critical moments he did let him out of the pocket they let him do what he wanted that's a big there all the things that the touchpad they were killed in the touch sent yeah but some of the the first half was a killer as well eight five of seven point fifteen that's why the less and we were more want to do is cry cry baby right stand for such a crybaby I don't blame somebody I'm playing the rap got a plane cloudy day never look at themselves in the mirror and say we lost because we didn't stop what the Wilson we could act no they lost because Carson Wentz did play today that's that's how I look at it I think one plays they win look at it but they're still right there I don't think the the the word is should of because I think it's because they could have done it I don't think they did enough to win it I think the fact that they did let Russell Wilson do Russell Wilson things on certain third downs I think that's what killed them but again I think the fact that you didn't get to see this game with Carson Wentz is a big done Astrid but it just sucks it so he didn't get to see what it could have been you know in the red zone five times in Carson Wentz puts millions of at least once or twice I think so yeah but again we'll never know well I don't know but I'm saying now that's why to me why they lost the game because if you have your quarterback the big part of it and then again you it's what is the third and ten everybody in the world knows what the hell is about to happen yeah why is the K. make have running white S. open minded I feel it and that's what I was a that was awful but it's still you have no I agree look in a minute here okay you're not going to one play one player you can't in in football you can't point to one thing and say that's why we lost it's it it's the culmination of sixty minutes so but I'm not blaming it on that one play but again you like and what the hell are we doing there let the guy run the biggest guy on the field run down the field wide open I I agree and I wasn't depending on the defense to win this game most depending on the offense defense you know if you were said they're gonna give up seventeen points again the Russell Wilson yeah I would have to win I would've thought it would have been the way Carson once is yeah the last four weeks that's a win I would've thought so yeah he's engineered fourth quarter comebacks but again it was people cynical doing that it's crying gosh I think it's a lot of it decides that I think a lot of people miss food they feel bad for the kids they do the that sucks the watch him have to go through this for another season now and I have to hear people down like this at least it does for me like I said he seems like a really good guy who does all the right things and says all the right things and it's it's like the one car we had is is this what is destined for to be in this why I hope not this hell that he's in right now I hope not but the one thing he does Abby does have a Superbowl ring even though didn't play the game I get it but what we're talking about the one around of twenty twenty I'm aware are you sure yeah now it's on the twenty seventh make your New York you're on the fifth quarter ninety for the V. I. P. hello Hey how are you good good I'm not sure a couple days just said we mostly just touch on a last guy but I did want to touch on what the guy said you know we want to have our last organs three were expected but it did it would no starters you know one of your it the only factor was cars you want and you lost them in the first quarter and we went zero in their direction and I'm curious what your guys Jake is not going for three to six and a half minutes left I thought the show kicked a field yeah it looks it was a big debate here is we're all watching it I didn't hate it again if he completes that passed the miles Sanders you know if we're gonna play the what if game if he completes that passed the miles energy scores you know he really does he's he's run away from Clowney takes is by eyes off the ball he's got nothing but the ends in front of my think he scores right there were having a the Graham in a different conversation I don't disagree with you but you get the guaranteed point yeah I well no no no you get a feel go you'll get guaranteed points now great great I I think you would have made it I'm I'm just being a contrarian at that point but you know who the hell knows what happens if you kick those three you know I I don't know I think you need to scores at that point to what you did the two scores with it if they win the guarantee the guarantee you get a two point conversion to score a touchdown we do not want yeah I don't write down a great that so I can you know what I needed to to scores yeah well I wanna kill I would on a feel right there behind you if you got that yeah I mean maybe you're right yeah assistance they stop them on the next series they got the ball back and have another chance to get some points so yeah trust me I'm I'm playing with and I was thanks Nick I'm playing with monopoly money that that instance you nam watching it from the TV being selfish and I'll go for a United that's of course that's the way I'm being a from the head coach right there maybe I'm I'm thinking different but it has paid off for Doug in the past to go for it on fourth down and take it take the gamble and we both have a thought when once went down is what if if this guy leads in the Superbowl it's gonna visors yes swear to god record you got some words playoffs Johnson's Peterson's been the head coach before tonight you know for for for one first and then work down yeah well that's good that that's Ricky Ricardo we send you back the eagles won in Spanish products better regained the W. and then again next week all I'm gonna say everything eight eight eight seven two nine at ninety four ninety four that's the third quarter sponsored by sometime there one ninety four of.

"Right. It takes a couple of years off. And then comes in finishes his career with Baltimore because of why not. Yeah. Get one of just those rare athletes that, like, I think, and I kinda thought this it points to about about various players. But it just like how like these guys clearly wouldn't be good today. Right. Like a lock. It's like. Yeah. Athletes are just the continue to get better. Each eras like better athletically. And so while I think there are definitely some players that could kind of make that jump right on would still be good. Dion is one where I have very little doubt that he could peak Dion would be inserted in today's game and be every bit as good. I think there were, so that's an interesting question were there any players that you saw from this game that you think would still be able to succeed in today's NFL Dion is obviously one of them was there anyone else? I mean, I think I, I think, you know, rice and Irvine would probably still be fine urban his game was more physical and he has like, from a size standpoint fits what we think of as a big receiver still today. So I think like that, that element in his ability to be physical and get open in the intermediate area and stuff like that, and generates actually did it and close the monitor Jerry Rice did it for a million years? So, yeah, I don't think there's a lot of question about that one. The player for me is Ricky Watters. I think Ricky Watters would succeed in today's NFL. I mean you saw him split out a lot and motion a lot in this game. And he was running around. He went he ran that wheel rowdy is going to touchdown on that wheel route, and he was fast. I mean he hit the whole real quick. And so he's a player, I think that could succeed in today's NFL surprisingly, I did not go in expecting this at all because we hear so much about how offense of line right now as as like has. Such a dearth of talent, like we need more good offensive linemen. And in it, it makes you kind of feel like this is the worst era for offensive linemen that we've had I don't know man, looking at these guys, and it could have been like granted there. There's some weird things with this camera angle, and you had the field that was just a disaster. And so it's possible like some of those things just make it look a bit more sluggish and hectic than than it, really would be if you were to watch and a different game watch the Super Bowl or something on a on a better field. But the offensive lineman in this game you know, you look at Dallas and again supposed to be one of the best offensive lines, maybe an NFL history and they were just all huge mall like they don't move very well. And I think that, like they would really struggle from just like the little bit that I saw. And it's like I don't know that they would be very good in today's game. I agree with you. Remember the I forget the Limon's name, but he had an issue with this helmet. And I think it's face was coming off. And so we had to. Off the field. And they've put I guess, Ron stone or someone in his place. This is the Cowboys offensive lineman. But I just looked at his body composition, and he just looked genus. Could you huge like probably all three hundred thirty three or four. Could you imagine Aaron Donald going up against God's someone like that? They would have no chains. No, it would it would be over. I mean you saw even Brian Young, Brian is, you know, why had such a good way can play like yeah. He was able to use quickness against those guys a lot to be able to get in the backfield and like make plays run line scrimmage. And, and get pressures and yeah. I think that was the one thing that I was surprised..

"Season. Go ahead. Tell me you get to choose the guy you who's delivering the ball through the air who do you? So so one year the three guys who are up as drew Brees, Patrick, Mahomes and Philip rivers and all three worthy guys. But if I had to pick one of these guys, but for nineteen I would have to go a Patrick Mahomes. I mean what he's done in just one season. He's electrified the NFL. He's he's changed. Kansas City's offense may totally. But what he's been able to do. And how he's been able to throw the football. Just incredible. Before we talk about some other some things back on the banks of the three rivers it occurs to me that you made a pretty savvy move. I remember you we've talked before I loved watching you in the Superdome with Notre Dame wearing that green six which was weird because you're a big dude in so when you wear the single digit, it doesn't look right Stefan to it. Take your six at Notre Dame. He had around nine nine either way big dudes like you shouldn't be allowed to do. Because it makes it hard to evaluate you for the next level because the number suit, you well, would you had to remember is when I was there all the other running backs has single digit numbers. So I was it was about the they Rick Mirer had number Dorsey Levens who went oh. Who transferred? He had number four. Ricky Watters at twelve Rodney Culver who was a big brother Mia number five. So it was it was the thing. Singing. You're keeping part of the group..

"Okay. Because that's the weird way. We do things here. Here we go most who has the most. You're listening to Caspian Los Angeles. Who has got the most playoff touchdowns in a career? Is that a Jerry Rice be Emmett Smith see Thurman Thomas most playoff touchdowns in a career, Greg? I think it's Jerry Rice. But I don't know why he threw Thurman Thomas in there. I must say Jerry Rice gra-, Jay. Jerry Rice, Jerry Rice, Jerry Rice played for about twenty seasons. But so did Emmett Smith just to be different. I'm gonna say Emmitt Smith Emmitt Smith is not the right answer. The right answer is Jerry Rice, God Jerry Rice has twenty two Emmett Smith Twenty-one and Thurman Thomas Twenty-one. So they're the top close. What single player has scored the most touchdowns in a playoff game. Is that a Ricky Watters for the forty Niners in nineteen Ninety-three Lagarde blunt for the patriots and twenty thirteen or Andy Farkas for the Washington Redskins in one thousand nine hundred forty three j what was the first one again Ricky waters for the forty Niners in nineteen Ninety-three. I think it was Ricky waters. I'm also going Ricky Watters, Greg. I thought blunt was the one to break that I'll say legare blunt Lagarde blunt the incorrect answer, the correct answer is Ricky Watters Lagarde blunt did have four in a playoff game in two thousand thirteen may have been the Super Bowl. Who has the most career playoff sacks? Is it a Willie mcginest b b Bruce Smith or see Reggie White Willie mcginest Bruce Smith, Reggie White. John you start this one. I'll go Bruce Smith, Greg. Yes. Outgoing Bruce Smith Bruce Smith. Yeah. All run correct, dances Willie mcginest was sixteen. Bruce Smith did have fourteen point five in his playoff career who has got the most career rushing yardage in NFL playoff history. Is that a Emmett Smith be Franco Harris or see Thurman Thomas start with J Emmitt Smith Emmitt Smith? But Franko hairs playing a lot of playoff games. But there weren't as many wildcard rounds back then. Oh, just to be different. I'll say Franco, Harris great. I'm just going to be different completely say Thurman Thomas. So somebody's somebody's right into our wrong. Jay is correct Emmett Smith fifteen eighty six Franco, Harris fifteen fifty six and Thurman Thomas, fourteen forty two I got screwed by thirty are. That's the top three and the last one all right now. Greg we need this is funny. Jaaz three Greg as one and I have one so Greg if you and I get it, right? We pass J by half a point. This one's worth two and a half, right? Who and a j you have to go. I who has the best playoff career quarterback rating. This is based on a hundred and fifty or more attempts best career playoff quarterback rating. Is that a Bart Starr be Aaron Rodgers or see Kurt Warner J Kurt Warner Kurt Warner because I think Jay's right, but because I have to go different. I will say Aaron Rodgers Aaron Rodgers for John. Yeah. I was thinking Kurt Warner the before the question even ended I'm gonna say Bart Starr to have one for everyone. The winner of this game, Greg bird. Fire because you were forced it is Bart star one. Oh, four point eight quarterback rating Aaron Rodgers second. Kurt Warner third. So those were the top three congratulations to Greg Bergemann aright coming back next. More fast track in just to mid not going away belong. Don't go anywhere who minutes..

"Balawi wearing falcons jersey, Bo. I just want to quarrel little water on that guy. It seem a little bit, but there's not. You don't want him to exist, but he's there. I quote. It's easy to sit in a breast box and say, hey, they should run the ball, come down and stand on the sideline with me and make decisions. Said eagles coach, Doug Peterson after being questioned about whether he should have called more running plays in the fourth quarter and Phillies up seventeen to nothing before blowing. The lead also told me questions. Crazy. Do you think it's crazy to question MIR, first of all, I think somebody should responded to that question with be down there. Next Sunday just stand there right next to him. It'd be like, coach, I think you should run the ball and just see what is reacted is going to make the offer, but no is not crazy. Now, the argument that he has against it is run the ball with who've right was small, would Clement who's on my fantasy team not doing nearly enough with a 'cause like these? Not exactly like he's talking about turn it around handed. Ricky Watters, something like that and grinded out the clock that been said, if you're going to blow a lead that in the fourth quarter and not run the ball, people are going to ask if you should run the ball in your answer, just has to be no. It's important to recognize that Doug Peterson is not a caveman of coach. She is a guy who gets data from his analytics department, which shape how we want to the ball. Shaped the Phillies special call which shaped him being otherwise fairly risk seeking him going for two when they were down fourteen. That was a whole story a couple of weeks ago. And this is very much about the fact that he can't throw his running game under the bus. So explicitly if you look at the numbers last year, they're running the ball in the fourth quarter with the lead over sixty percents. Now this year when they have all of those that I don't know that you mentioned there in the forties. He's just trying to be diplomatic and he's taking it out on people of our, yeah, but it's always come down here and make decisions with us. Come on, stand to game is we know run the ball, even run the clock. It's it's not wrong. If someone to ask you that question. That's quote these DiBa wide receivers wanted to go to the bathroom as defensive linemen we didn't go to the bathroom. You sat on the bench, did your business and you got. Demanding booger, follow and have to learn Odell Beckham Joni went to the bathroom. Do you Jaren the falcons possession in pre in the game? Yes. I'm so discombobulated plays video. We, we will do that on the sideline. I didn't need to go to back, but we just kind of sit out onto bench and business move on. That's did too much. Missing all these. These receivers wanted to go to bathroom as deep defensive apartment. We didn't go to the bathroom. You sat them to bitch, got up. Food IM team booger on this. I know you are not what is on team bugger because he's not alone. Larry is, oh, Bill Belichick. Larry is, oh, a game ball because he pooped in a bucket on the sideline is, is bucket a slang term for your own pants. It is not. It's not the same Channing. Crowder the linebacker. "When he knows i think we'll all know a gulf so good follow up question from gulliken lingo if you were offered the job would you take it i think there's a good chance i'm excited about where i am in terms of not in the game and and prepared back and coach i just don't want to sit here speculate it's almost like uh uh i don't know what's going to happen to be honest with you it's been a along couple of weeks i know they've gone through their process of interviewing candidates and until they're done i won't know but i did have a good meeting with mark i've known him a long time and i got a lot of respect for the reader football organisation his cadences unbelievable when you work for the when you were covering the naive what was his affiliation with the niners like in 1990 your ninety one like ours and govern that he was gone by the time i got there 94 was he what you want for the team's the lowest level guy he was cutting up film or the coaches and he had a clashing hit trick that's it okay so he was injured when his mentor yeah well he was the offense of quality control guy which they're working for mike holmgren and bob mckittrick around like some of the great he really mind as you're there all night cutting up film for them before nothing been what like to attend his 20s i would say fifty four now right yeah you have to finish one is it up early twenties young to earth so you that was that was eighty nine ninety so that so what was the next stop is mitch wants or he went from the forty nine as quality control guy film stuff and then what did do pat do you know where we might have been philly right with right yellen at the ricky watters member that they have there been guard have wow yeah again ninety ninety three ninety went to war it for a year okay and he went to the packers holmgren took them there to be okay well then he was a receivers coach for home grit and the packers then the eagle's yellow coordinator notified to 97 then then it's okay gotcha in one last one was he offered ownership stake which ian rappaport told us to slow or role on yesterday because.

"In our j style right here in a latenight snack the sport station 105 3 defect some inside notes that were sent to me on this game to some stuff to keep in mind which i always appreciate this info being relate and i wanted to get it to year murmur hammer here is some little nerdy things but the cowboys in the niners cowboys average starting feel position on the road is the best in the nfl oh they start on the 33 yard lied that she learned that a denver neither is average starting field position is the thirty three in their stadia that's the best that any teams in the league at hall the forty nine ers bad on defense they play way too much defense they need to be on the field for six minutes less kind of sounds like our situation the niners can move of the ball but can they actually score what a week to prepare for this new quarterback cj beth third cowboys should be able to handle on the panthers against said the niners played zone and allowed no big plays held them to two hundred eighty seven total yards and the forty nine ers would have a win if they could convert in the red zone six for eighteen on third downs in the red zone so feel position some thirddown stealth planes on against some there's some inside nerds stats to get you before the game on sunday which we had the cowboys of course wedding and hopefully it's a state and again the telegraph have drafted a lot of defensive talent eric armed says going to missing in this game on looking forward actually seeing rubin foster on the field silence houses had a nice start but they're still lower in that offensive rankings 28 overall on the season they're gonna have to give big game from roger craig and ricky watters they want to win this one ricky watters i love watching him all right what's the saw that article from our boy gillaibrand we love gillaibrand even though guilt what a little crazy this.

"In his career he be ahead of emmitt smith pays for the alltime rushing record in their one yellow had yeah there were a a moment where we thought if anybody is going to catch emmett it's going to be adrian peterson drew peterson at age twenty seven had a two thousand ninety seven yards season he was well ahead of emmett space yemen club to realize what you did hear day and you fell into his trap this tweet was sent out about an hour before the tax that starters adrian peters in his miss 33 games in his career emmitt smith fourteen barry sanders mis seven walter payton has missed one of course this all comes back to water paid non missing game but i think likeability factors into this we have issues with tiki barber his occur within clean he wasn't the star in college and we dismiss his stat he can barbara carried the ball three times four three hundred times in the season four times so the peterson you can't take he's not a durable back i'm not even a big tiki barber fan but sometimes we ignore stats because of a likeability a guy well peterson we saw we saw a throwback running back cheeky was more everybody is a hybrid of ricky watters in my opinion with what ricky watters did with the niners and i do think ricky watters is underrated i think you rush for ten thousand yards in had five hundred receptions ricky watters started all of this and then it was marshall fog who mastered it and now a christian mccaffrey comes in as a what a hybrid here yelled leonard four net might be a throwback running back to an adrian peterson type but a lot of these guys you got to be able to catch the ball you've got to be able to block i i think it's a fair argument there but tiki use a better allround back who's not in a sniff the in today in today's nfl i would rather have tiki barber than i would adrian peterson but adrian peterson is a whole all of famer and tiki barber would beaches to fringe hall of famer did we solve anything they're on more now never tap and how i wanna know that calls it all right we'll get phone calls let's take a break here eight seven seven three.

"I if it's only as in september call up or or or maybe it's nothing at all we we don't know y you know we are bringing this up anywhere and no running late here believe just real quick at the forty nine as 1994 won a super bowl and then they lost ricky watters lusty on sanders but ricky watters is a big part of their offense he was a petulant guy they thought he was selfish and they let him go for whom there were offense was never the same they'll run the ball for many years after the defeat he'll sort of make in an analogy here to pablo in the team i mean it honesty since he left they haven't hit i mean and they had a nice april may and june last year but ever since then the offense has been missing a big hold you look at his departure as like a whole they never filled no you know what if if if you put it in those terms i honestly a two point two one guy i point to honor pence i think he's not the same he's he's hitting baltimore chop singles instead of you know hitting homers to you know uh with men on base um no i i think that i don't know where we're going to see you at hundred pence again and so the the got to figure something out with him uh because uh no you'll lose a panda and you lose the parents of those guys could could could hit you anywhere for me they get hit any pitch when they were on meet him so dangerous in the postseason because you try to pitch carefully totally couldn't there's no place you could pitch carefully those two guys 'cause they can hit the ball you know that that's picked at their gender they could get it out of the ballpark so i think that was one of the factors that made the giants so good naval to uh to sort of swim through rounds of the postseason and twelve and fourteen in an element that they're missing because they don't have panda and they they don't have pence being pence and i think that the combo those two things maybe what you're driving a yeah dow absolutely totally agree on all that stuff well enjoyed the chat and and did you make anything out.

"Maybe and again on on one level it's entertainment you're going to get to the finals and you can flip a to take your shot against golden state maybe next year you may lose you may win that's that's pretty good it's don't get me wrong and maybe lebrun decided to stay his whole career in cleveland and just in that would be your yeah he's never moving again right are literally with him for the next ten years if he wants to play that long at this point but it's just something you have to always think about in sports people there is no untradeable person in sports they're they're just is lohyna is you would not trade stuff curry for who for what as tutu called ricky watters where the greatest quotes ever with exhaustive he's gonna go go across the middle to catch a passive member that ricky watters a running back and philosophical very somebody gives lower tax rates therefore salary traders the cavaliers give you lebrun james in cairo serving of course you tradings after now that's a ridiculous assumption your point is valid in that a lot of guys you're not gonna get great value for admittedly but nobody is we've seen it too often in sports michael these guys people move there is the the rarity of a derek cheater now that claes one team for his whole career we just don't see it right and there are some un you're not gonna trade tom brady couldn't do that in the un of obviously when he's thirty not allow these forty now getting their national of who's still the best quarterback in the game so you're not gonna treat a guy like him all right well we found the one on tradable dudits for 'cause you're not get anything bag in the nfl they'll trade deal trade randy moss for a fourth round her which is ridiculous it also they they went super bowls because the time that he's not gonna treat him we found him we found the one guy and baseball.
