"Which was I made matcha for offer you for Ricky, from Ricky villa Chris from GSM arena and then Danielson, who works with board at work. And on his own stuff as well. And the four of us were just kicking it with some macho. Before we went off on a freaking hike. We got all of our YouTuber friends who were there. Not all of them. But a good amount of them. And we went on a freaking hike in Orange County. How cool is that that we were able to just do something like that together for the first time in who God knows how long? And I will say, the hike was fun, even though there was some complaining along the way about Josh wanting to kill us all. We did have a fun hike. It wasn't my choice to pick the hardest route. We were going down the path and they were like, they said there's an abandoned car down this trail. Let's see what happened to that car. Oh, I was like, literally the steepest trail down. But it was worth it. It was worth it. Literally the weirdest thing we could have decided to do and we just went ahead and did it. I think it was I think everybody had a good time. Oh, yes, absolutely. Everyone had a really good time. And I got to say it was, of course, I do have to give a shout out. I'm sure that he is listening to this right now. Michael Fisher, I was technically his idea. Like he wanted to go on a hike and he was like, yeah, I would love to. We sat down for drinks in New York a week ago and he was like, so we're going to California. Are we hiking? Yeah, he was like, are there any good hike spots near the place in Orange County? It'd be cool for us to go. And I was like, yeah, absolutely. They're Dana points right there. There's a few really good ones around. So I did a little bit of research, and as I was doing the research, people were inquiring of like, do we have plans for the free day as media tech actually put together a whole day where we could hang out with them or do whatever we wanted? So we just found a place for us to hike and sure enough, 18 people showed their showed up. And Michael was Instagram. You'll see all the pictures. Everybody posted picture. Yeah, so Michael was like lightly complaining a little bit. He was like, I really wanted like a chill hike like three people maybe. But sure enough word gets around very quickly in our small insulated insulated group. So we got a big old group out and we were starting to we had a lot of fun. We got over there. Y'all got to ride in my corolla and we did. It's the Fast & Furious corolla, right? No, not even God, I wish. But yeah, it was a really wonderful time. So that's a quick recap of our media tech time. As I have been alluding to during this segment, we do plan on having an interview. We had an interview with finbar and Alfred, both from media tech, vim bar is a little bit more on the marketing side and Alfred is specifically smart TVs. Now, smart TV is being very interesting. I literally have one set up right over there right now. I'm working on some videos for some media tech powered products. And one of them is this Amazon four series TV, a four K 60 hertz, but four KTV with basically Amazon fire interface completely installed, all services installed. Easy to use. I think it's got a few HDMI ports, like all the connectivity you would want. This one's a 43 inch TV, so it's not on the bigger side, but it's a four series, which means it's the budget one, this TV is only $329. I'm actually really cool. So I remember getting out of college and getting my very first job out of school and I had a bet with my best friend. It's also Filipino. Paolo actually drew up a contract because he knew if he didn't draw up a contract for this bet I wouldn't pay out. But the bet was like I would get a job within 6 months and make a certain amount of money applying to corporate jobs. And unfortunately, he won the bet because I did make a specific amount of money and so I had to buy him a flat screen TV for this bet. And this was me, you know, back in 2005, a baller new corporate employee buying my best friend to TV. And it was $1800 for a Panasonic 32 inch flat screen 7 20 I not pee 7 20 I LCD TV. And it was it was ridiculous. I remember paying that much money for that TV back then, which with inflation now, you know, being 15 years.

"Bay area from the early nineties. And if you didn't get it it's because you're not cool promotion alexis. They'll be back taking so much we come back another segment. I relate to you though if we're on a break i didn't dance at that. School dances. I used to sit in the corner instead of dancing out. Clench my butt cheeks to them. I was so nervous. But i would. I still wanted rhythm. So just clinched the butt cheeks just standing there and then eventually started going to raves. You should try honestly my suggestion. Try the rave scene. San francisco circa nineteen ninety-three. It's awesome. here's what i'll say to you. the idea of me. Dancing in highschool the fully almost physical brick walls of anxiety fear self-consciousness late and homophobia cultural terror. That i had to break through to literally lift one foot off the ground to begin dancing at a high school dance unfathomable to me so i stayed home and i played mary kart during my prom tonight. Before we go do now you got me thinking one. This is real okay real advice. It's scary to dance. It is very scared to dance in front of other people. But there is no is gonna sound so corny and i know that i've established myself as a rakish figure that you can't trust that's actually aggressive but this is real this now real me. There is no more freeing feeling on earth. Dancing with full abandoned in there is there was. I don't remember who it was but someone said some famous person said if i can't dance in your revolution i don't want any part of it. There is something beautiful about dancing with everything that you have and the best dancer on the on the dance floor is always me but the second best answer on the dan store is always the person not the person that looks the best but the person does not give a fuck the most. So that's my advice someday. Find a way to dance with abandoned. Even if it's not your high school dance because that's not a great environment for find a way to dance because it's a good feeling. That is great advice and i do think cliche but the truth is i. Think what we've wanted to say the whole time. Is i think you all know dance like nobody's watching ever back. Let's check back in with our live. Or else mixologist. Brian what do you mix it up. And then good recently. We we john. Oh speaking french yeah. I don't know. I was mixing and matching backstage french now. But you didn't before predom- 'scuse emma john do you not believe me you're telling me that if you have another vaccine combinations you gain new skills cues john. There is nothing big pharma. Cantu do with a high enough dose all right well. i'm skeptical. has several people in the front row of your accent. But i would like to know french. So can you teach me how to make tequila sunrise movements all right. Well tell us about it okay. So we're we're gonna do is we're going to measure out two parts visor one for each dose. You already have. And then depending on if you like it. Sweet or not. And i do a little bit of madonna and then i know you like your diet coke looking out for you and then as much to kilos you could fit in the rest of the thing he. He's are very strong vaccine doses. How is that seems very strong. Smokey do you want Could you make it spicy comes. He comes on we. Just gotta shake it up with a little Astrazeneca we're not even approved for astra. Zeneca where did you get astrazeneca. Also i told you if you want anything. I know a guy. Don't that's not this kind of a tour right. Brian thank you very much. We'll check back in with brian about brian recently. Pete buddha judge former presidential candidate and america's mayor by default. Now that rudy. Giuliani sold his official. America's mayor session crown to pay off the owner of a massage parlor in la hoya who is blackmailing him. After rudy begged or professional masseuse for a hand job during a trip to california to see the us open at torrey pines caused disturbed by taking paternity leave from his role as transportation secretary he was helping to take care of his nutrients penelope rose and joseph august who were born prematurely. And boy does the right wing. Have a lot to say about it joining me now to discuss our to actual certified as we already have moshe here on stage and coming up to the stage we have ricky villa's very comedian people iraqi. How you doing. He's from forest hills. I'm from queens village. Your fa- we're all from new york. Say you can't really say. I'm from new york right born. I left when i was an infant but appreciate the straight way to fucking ruin hypo is trying to get gone. No i'm gonna give you some hype. Ricky won't say because he's very humble but he's actually got an. Hbo special out any day. Now he wasn't gonna invention it he wasn't gonna mention told me not he did. I do not bring it up. I'm firing my agent. This is not my kraut. Here's here's the thing. I just found out. She's been here multiple weeks. Go to school at this school. This is this is ridiculous. we're outside it's called. Go study and fucking dance now. That's new york advice. Fuck go fucking dance all day and just get out there and dance you fuck. Go back to queen's dance. Yeah we love to dance and queens. You'd never heard the opposite dancing queen. I'm a famous queens space. So what are we talking about. You gentlemen are here to talk about parenting specifically being dad's all right so i'm gonna start with some easy questions for you to i Do you regret it. That's funny the people that don't have kids right. We take that kind of stuff very seriously and honestly to this crowd that laugh. That was very caucasian. Male of you. Do you regret becoming the question. Oh my kid is the coolest fucking thing i've ever done. He's so but one day he will steal out of my wallet and call me a dick. That's what's crazy about parenting in a way. I'm sure you relate to this is that i'm sure you don't is that you are training them. You're not just going to do that. You are literally training them to do that. Mines in karate training to fuck you up but it's such an interesting experience. At the moment the child comes into your life your training it to say fuck you and leave. That's life journey. Your one stop along the way which is.

"Song was by adele by maisy solar sailor and aj. Warren thank you for sending an incredible song if you have a live or else theme send it in to leave it at crooked dot com. They have been amazing. We have got listen. We have a little bit of showbiz lingo for what we call. An episode called a thick sewed 'cause a lot of carts short for thick episode joe. This week we mix up some vaccine cocktails. What today's onetravel anderson alexis wilson and moshe kosher give are needy audience. Some advice moshe is joined by another funny father. Ricky villa's to talk paternity leave and we have a bond girl that didn't make the cut exciting but first let's get into it. What a week in a statement sent from the hell raiser dimension but boring donald trump. Criticize the media's celebration of colin powell after the secretary of state's passing lamenting that powell was treated beautifully in death despite his big mistakes in iraq trump's statement concluded. He made plenty of mistakes but anyway may he rest in peace the but anyway is our media failing to cover the stakes of our politics leaded gasoline rotting the brains of baby boomers in the nineteen sixties and seventies facebook fox news decadence and moral decay racism misogyny as gateway drugs to fascism. This is why trump was possible. The but anyway. That's why he want think about. It has trump's cronies in a bipartisan. vote today. The house approved criminal contempt. Charges against steve bannon over his refusal to respond to a subpoena from congress from january six committee regarding the capital riot. Bannon says that he podcast. Host is protected by executive privilege because he once worked in the white house. Which i will say has never worked for me when i'm trying to sneak arby's into a movie theater dare hip doesn't matter what's in these cargo shorts in two thousand and five new york city while i'm temping as a paralegal and doing open mics at night sneaking into a movie with a big mac at six o'clock pm hip to real the thing about cargo shorts in the year. Two thousand and five is one side. You can really perfectly put a big mac and then the other side. You could perfectly put a large fries. Why what cargo do you think there's more meanwhile west virginia senator and vacant. I'd student hoping the teacher doesn't call on him. Joe manchin has come out against biden's clean energy plan. There was also a story this week. That mansion was threatening to switch parties then mansion call that story bullshit but then mentioned also said that actually he did lightly offer to become an independent but that was it he would still caucus with the democrats but it didn't lead anything. He almost described it like it would be a favourite chuck schumer. But i know that we're all pretty sick of talking about how we need cinema and mansion even though they view it as like a source of their identity to limit our ambitions purely for the point of proving that they limited our ambitions and even though this is beside the point we wouldn't be in this mess if cal cunningham able to stop himself from fucking random on a trip to california not neither here nor there or if bill nelson had gotten ten thousand more votes against rick scott in florida rick. Scott one of the biggest medicare fraudsters in history. How did we let that go by. And i don't know why rehashing this except We've reached the bottom of the barrel on mansion jokes which is fine because we can use that barrel to float down the kanawha the next time it floods due to climate change as it takes out nearly elva buildings in charleston west virginia a state singer lee at risk for climate related flooding and even a joke while joe manchin is personally stopping plan that could help stop trillions of dollars and devastation. At least it's to protect twelve thousand jobs in west virginia even though we could literally right a million dollar check to all twelve thousand people and that would be still less than a half a percent of the cost of even the compromise build back. Better plan still. Don't have a joke told you. The barrel is empty. It's climate floating now on wednesday mayor. Bill de blasio announced all city. Employees must be vaccinated in related news. Five times as many police officers have died of cova than from gunfire since the pandemic began nonetheless. Police unions across the country continue to defy their cities vaccine mandates with one third of chicago police refusing to get vaccinated when confronted with this startling figure. Police representatives promised to get the death by gunfire numbers up as soon as possible. These san francisco branch of in and out shutdown. After failing to enforce the city's vaccine mandate for indoor dining the company's corporate office said we fiercely disagree with any government diktat that forces a private company discriminate against customers. Who choose to patronize their business. This is governmental overreach. The corporate office went on to say also when you order it animal style. The animal is sick bat. I wish there fries whereas firms. They're dumb stances. The fries are in good. What are we doing here. What are these lines for. You can't go down a side street near an in and out because people are waiting for these godforsaken soggy for is what am i missing. Once in awhile. I will wait on one of those lines and then i'll get to the window and i'll say one shake please and they'll look at me like i'm nuts. Waited for one shake. Did i was enjoying an audio book in the car and i didn't mind waiting with the fries are bad. It's not good. Does anyone disagree with me. So then what are we doing here. It's very reasonably priced this week. The vatican relaunched. They're praying at click to pray two point. Oh for ninety nine. You can't upgrade to pray. Which gives you an advocate. Got experience and access to joe rogan's complete archive. There's also scripture on the fries. That's a good point that's important to thank you for. I hadn't had forgotten about the scripture on the fries in an ad. For the virginia republican gubernatorial candidate rudy giuliani. Put on an abraham lincoln filter to stump for glenn yung-chen. Let's roll the clip time. We got a name for men who sold bedrooms for one night in your time. The name is terry mcauliffe and the clinton fleas once great. My sleep paralysis demon is here schilling stuff. The global supply chain continues to experience backlogs and shortages exacerbated by the scarcity of microchips and energy in china. And the fact that ronin drinks half lacroix and abandons thank god. I'm planning to get my loved. Ones the same locally source gift. I always get them nothing on monday. The justice department urged the supreme court to block the texas abortion ban calling it plainly. Unconstitutional is strongly disagree. The texas abortion man is extravagantly unconstitutional. You don't just wake up and roll out of bed. Looking that unconstitutional people worked really hard on this. And they do deserve credit and finally a wisconsin. "Like always on supplements and always doing he's he lives in a hyperbaric chamber while like eating weird food inside of a sauna while he injects himself with this and that so i don't think he was like out of i. Just don't think it's anything out of the ordinary for rogan. That people made it into or it's like We got gotta but like everything on the internet. I think i saw more people being like. Don't make fun of job. Getting more than i saw making fun of their news. Reports on the celebrity. I saw a lot of like joe and got kobe new york times and like jordan kobe. Dmz but i didn't see i didn't see be like fuck you again. Everyone's time on different. I don't know maybe it was somewhere. But i didn't see anyone. Rogan chess moves faulk in needle man and just laughs all the way to the bank. I think you know like anything that happens to him. Everyone's getting it but like it was a big deal for joe rogan. i think. yeah oh. Yeah but i'm saying he's a fucking big big one at this point like with if something happens or he says something or whatever like it it goes people. There's like once every few months. Get back on stage watson. comedy. Dan soder was at your bar tuesday night. He was exactly. I heard the nate. And trent when i believe and frankie frankie and said it was the funniest thing they've ever seen and i just like live comedy. When i saw short small like probably fifteen years ago i was like. That's that's the funniest comedian of all time. That was the funniest thing i've ever seen. And then i saw ricky villa's live. He was opening up for pete davidson. And i was like. That's the funniest thing of all time and these are obviously great and talented comedians. But like in my mind. When i see it live in that element on like. This is the pinnacle of comedy. Nothing has ever been funnier. So when then it's it's. It's almost like i've said about bars. Where like when when the when the bar swing. Shut behind you you your inexperience moment. You've you've come to an agreement with everyone else in the barbie might look whatever outside. Fuck it we're getting drunk. Yeah we're gonna laugh we're gonna saying here's some shit payroll to shea gillis as a new special out it's awesome. I guess next door is a bar and towards the end of the sal later in the night so you turn the music up and you can kind of hear the music. Shane and i think that like if you're if you're watching soda or listening to soldier on his shows shane. Gillis chrissy d like there's a and maybe it's just because we've got into it recently and the internet has like there's so much exposure now that you can consume so many of these comics. But i feel like there's some sort of like golden age renaissance one of those catchphrases going on where there are just some fucking hall..

"And so now i so now maybe we need to sit back and it really appreciate those dudes that brought it for twenty nine weekends. I mean maybe it's not that hard right. Well no no. I think it's extremely hard. Yeah no. I'm sorry. I don't know what i meant. I didn't mean that maybe it's okay so it's you know sorry i was trying to get some stats on my phone. Twenty fifteen last time dutch outdoors and out really. Yeah so we're six years of having different champions you know so i think clearly the supercross tracks have become less technical and more risky meeting. I mean you know these guys are picking up quads and do things that are just gnarly. Yeah so the amount of mental energy and focus at a takes to not die all and for that timeframe it could. There's there's no question it's going to wear you down and where and if you come up short indoors you're like hey i get outdoors. You know what. I mean so now like you're hungrier than they do to the supercross title right now. You're like wait. I need to get outdoors. Because i had. I didn't win super cost. the. I don't know i've always been i. Guess i've been around. Guys that have just been mental giants. You know done excelled at it and watching watching and talking to some of the guys. Now that have come through especially philip oto the few times we don't here and talking about it. You know it was all he could do to keep that focus on and nothing else mattered. Ricki ricky when he was going through it you know i think ricki ricki time probably probably wasn't the most approachable and personal writer to the fans on the balloon right because every of every ounce of his energy to stay focused to do what that do did on the track. You don't win every national every moto by just getting lucky yeah. It requires a tremendous amount of and then at the end of his career. I think when he started changing and not not being that gnarly dude and being the racer right. All of a sudden thinks changed. Now look at him now. He's he's the same as the kid that i met back in the early eighties when you look at ricky villa. Po two examples. That i know well. They hated to lose more than they like to win. Do you know what. I mean like when they lost. That's what drove him when they want. It's like i'm sharing. So i think that's common amongst any anybody. That's the winds. Especially if she did anybody. You will call champion i so i just think we're in the era. I i mean obviously look there will be another guy to come around the be like ricky. I don't mean with his records. But i mean i think there'll be some guy. Some point will come and crush everybody right there. Just we kind of just it's ebbs and flows in the sports..

"Her novel how much of these hills is gold thank you so much for being with us thank you Scott this is wonderful you're listening to weekend edition from NPR news from KQED news I'm clinic him this week workers at whole foods nationwide and here in the bay staged a sickout strike among their demands guaranteed paid leave for all workers to self quarantine rather than come to work sick the United States is one of the few wealthy nations that does not guarantee paid sick leave for all its workers and the recent federal krone virus bill was supposed to rectify that but Republicans carved out an exemption for companies with five hundred people or more KQED's Sam Harnett brings us this report on workers who say they can't afford to be sick and miss work Ricky villa real has been waiting tables for three years and says he's had to go in six a bunch of times so yeah definitely times where I've been sick and they say like short of throwing up or you know diarrhea like come on it that's because if you don't go into work you don't get paid and if you call out too many times you can lose your job you know depending what you guys take a lot of Tylenol or day quil and just kind of margin you know the federal crown of ours bill does now give two weeks of paid sick leave for those ill with covert nineteen but big business got a major carve out by one count that means only twenty five percent of the work force will receive paid sick leave because of the bill you CSS Kristin Hartnett along with Danny Schneider U. C. Berkeley surveyed one hundred thousand service and retail workers nationwide it's really scary sixty percent of workers report going to work sick California workers are guaranteed three paid sick days but only four percent of all workers have fourteen or more days off that's the minimum amount of time officials say people should self quarantine if they're feeling sick right now Harkness says this pandemic is showing how workers lives have become increasingly fragile well there has been this general trend what gets referred to as a wrist shaft where employers have passed on more of the risk and uncertainty about doing business on to the workers said that social contracts since the nineteen seventies has really shifted from one of shared risk or where employers for more of the rescue one where no workers there almost all the risk the increasing we don't have a pension or health insurance companies are turning them into contractors with no employee protections or benefits less belong to unions their pay has been stagnant and paid time off has dwindled workers are in an extremely precarious position on a good day but then you layer on top of that an enormous public health crisis and it's just a recipe for disaster whether at this pandemic workers will need thousands and thousands of dollars just for essentials like rent and food without paid time off that means continuing to go to work sick even if you might infect others so like a couple weeks ago there were five of like the twelve people who work in the pharmacy say this pharmacist wants to remain anonymous for fear of losing her job she's only part time didn't have paid time off the manager was desperate and told her and her colleagues that they needed to come in that's also bad because like there were people coming into the pharmacy that day what if by like me handing them their script in the back of their hand touches mind and suddenly they've got more flu virus on them she tried to work in the back of the store to avoid infecting everyone that was coming in for not having direct contact with the customer we're still putting their pills in a bottle and we're still putting a label on the bottle and we're still putting a cap on the bottom we're touching all of those things she says you don't need to be a doctor or pharmacist to know that having sick people touch everyone's medication is not a good way to flatten the curve of a pandemic.

Scott
