"Chief counsel for the American Center for Law and Justice J. Secolo. Everybody welcome back to the broadcast. We just had on Rick Warren L Where we were discussing with Jordan kind of fallout if you will, or the analysis of the debate. I want to go now beyond the debate because we're literally a week and a half from the election for the presidency, United States So I've got our director of policy. Harry Hutchinson here. Senior counsel and the economy would be joined a little bit later with by our senior adviser on foreign policy, Middle East affairs, and that is West myth, but I want to start with Andy. Debates are done. We're literally 11 days from the election. Putting all of the ads away. Putting all of them ask you the same question. Every put putting the ads aside and just looking at where the candidates are right now, what is your sense? My sense is that the president of United States is going to be re elected. I have a distinct feeling that the population United states supports him supports his foreign policies. Certainly the advances that have been made in the Middle East are tremendous. The peace that we have achieved between Israel, the United Arab Emirates, the other countries in the Middle East that we're going to achieve the comeback in the economy, The Koven farce of the Democrat has said is the result of the president cited states which is ridiculous to say that the president has been the person who is AH. Ah, responsible for Corona virus when he sent ships to New York and to California to hey, that and when he stopped the travel from the from the European countries early on as early as he could, and was prudent. The fact that he has shown leadership the fact that he's shown initiative the fact that he has shown that he can lead that he is the only one really who's got the business acumen to bring the economy back. The opening of up of the economy. All these factors tio together militate in favor of a person with his strength of character and the advancement that he has shown. On all the issues. That is my prediction. That is my hope, my sincere desire. So what's interesting, though? Of course Harry is the Poles are dead. Even I mean, if you look at the battleground polls we did this earlier in the week. He's Joe Biden is exactly where Hillary Clinton Was the end of result in 2016, of course, was that the president was elected president, United States, But some of these states were very close margins. So putting again kind of looking at it right now. I don't think anybody should presume. That this is a done deal, even 10 days out. I think that is correct. But I also think that the American people are tuning out the main stream media narrative, which is about 100% anti Trump. And so I think the President President Trump will be reelected, in part because there will be a wave of Americans who will come out. On the other hand, I think it's equally true that the American people are becoming mohr and more aware. Of the Biden agenda on the Biden agenda will threaten the economy will threaten Medicare and will threaten Social Security. Imagine Joe Biden as president, where the marginal tax rates in some states when you add in the state income tax rate will approach 66% of income. And so I think a significant number of Americans will recognize this makes no sense. I also think many Americans believe that Joe Biden will continue to promote If you will disruption on and also protests that are disrupting many of America's major cities. And so I think at the end of the day, the American people will return to elect President Trump because they will see him as the safer More stable choice. You know, we also saw any very quickly here. Amy Barrett come out of the Judiciary Committee. She will be she will be on the bench could be as early as Monday or Tuesday. Yeah, the Democrats boycotted the Judiciary Committee there for permitting a unanimous A referral out of the committee of this eminently qualified judges.

"Going to read this story in this kind chatter on our site when when I posted this yesterday I wasn't even sure I was going to post it but. Glad I. Did hear we talk about the upcoming as you may have heard Amazon prime is working on their own TV series Lord of the rings this is going to be the most expensive TV show her may they bought the rights? Just the right stressed the to be legally able to make it two, hundred, fifty, million dollars so this. This show is. Less before amy production nothing. Nothing. To sign the dotted line to input. So. This this show is in the works filming right now in. New. Zealand and there's been some new reports Zeland suggested. This is not going to be. This is not going to be your grandma's Lord of the Rings. All right. This is not gonNa be you're. Talking your pastor is not going to be one to pull a lot of metaphors. For Sunday, morning series, and I'll tell you why this lord of the Rings is going to feature nude scenes and possibly sex scenes based on some some fans smoothing information. Lord of the Rings Fan site found some casting calls stipulating the actress who've been cast should be comfortable with nudity different casting calls said, they will need nude people, age eighteen plus all shapes and sizes because dwarves and elves and hobbits there's all shapes and sizes. and. They've also hired an intimacy coordinator. This is sort of a new job at holly. Post me to era job where they bring in and intimacy coordinator to make sure that people onset are being forced, I told me to do anything in their comfortable doing anything that's outside of their contract that they're that they feel safe with whatever scenes are being asked to do particularly intimate once. So that's the situation game. So you telling me that. Out. The Lord Reigns is what? This is going to be. Lord of the Rings after. I've never read the book. So I'm out here but is in is there any kind of scenes like that? In the book I would say the book is like the least Horny.

"Those who help themselves. Then Kevin framing much by behavior the understanding that that was in the Bible. Nowhere to be found yeah, I. I don't know about you but. In my in my own Biblical and my Bible College there was a lot of would say it quite like this but there was a lot of kind of implied references to well, he meant like poor as a state of mind like hauling. Initially before but less. Spiritually We don't think about it. It. was. The idea was that it was sort of a bad of poor energy to them. I don't know what the humble or non. You have to do a lot of dancing. Live the American dream and take those verses. seriously. You have to jump a lot new crazy part about the Bible and. I'll tell you for one I'm not a socialist lie I'm not a socialist you're entrepreneur mogul. There's no academia socialist and do what I do. But if you look at the scriptures and look at like people would call Jesus or even the most high they were call your way. Because I mean even when you look at laws that say you couldn't reap all of the edges your field you had to leave the edges of your field for the poor and for the travelers people in America if you were to tell people that, hey you, you can't. Make as much money as you want you have to take a certain amount of it is set aside for people that are traveling and that people that are poor they will call you a socialist but I mean that's literally a biblical scripture and asked him that the Lord has set up when we talk about the immigration debate, that's the thing that baffles me it's like this like nationalism walls up don't let people in but the Bible talks about ten percent of your crop, ten percent of your land to aliens into to the only come passing through. It's like how do you rectify that? I mean this is your religion. This is your your scripture. Then you're building walls around your land I mean it's like it doesn't make sense. Absolutely it was. Hard S that's A. That's that's that's actually disgusting because I'm like you can't be that smart and read the Bible as much as these people do at come to that conclusion without having. Ought Syria motive like without greed. Keno way at the truth because. That's a very physical thing to tell someone like, Hey. And also say you have to let your crops rest for year? You can put plant crops for six years before one year you have to let whatever grows out of that field grow anyone can come to that field and get what they want. Light Day would be Americans will call that socialism but that was laws that were set up by God himself. So like you literally called Guide di did God has a capitalist. Is In, a lot of Christians mining them like that's not true. Capitalism is something that we do as Americans but that's not a god thing There's a lot of you know things that That is going to be would be very Troubling. If you tried to one I, think you know the Kennedys broad political and economic terms you know like socialism or capitalism or or or you know there's there's more nuance. You know they're hybrids of everything when it comes to services that you know governments provide to people and and where does you know line between these terms gone but if if you know people were serious about. Applying what the Bible says to everyday American life there. Some incredible incredibly difficult. Exodus if you lend money to any of my people. Who is poor? You shall not be like a Monday money lender to them and you are not exact interest from them. The Bible has multiple. I think probably over a dozen versus about interest and non charging people interest I mean the the entire. The entire framework of economic system is based on the principle that the Bible says not to do now my sane. Look I. I'm not I'm not against like finance or credit cards or what but I am saying how seriously do who take the Bible here because if you WanNa, go down that path, you know it it has some some serious implications for the the the social economic and political system that that we've established. Now it's what we mean when we say the Bible transcends politics right. You can find elements of socialism of capital of whatever you want, but it's not it's not in the middle it. It transcends its above all of these and and that's why people who say they follow. The Bible should do the same thing while being fully aware that we live in a world that just isn't going to always play by those rules. They don't have to. Buy By what day but we do we should yeah, I think what the problem is because a lot of Christians don't study the Old Testament like what Paul says is Paul says that the the Law Moses Law is a schoolmaster. An idea of its heat says us how to. Understand who got is character what he likes, what he hates and when you start to study that through a cultural land, you realize that the Lord low like we say this all the time when we think of Jesus is how much Lord loves us he finished onto down across. We don't think about how much the Lord loves us that will you look through the? Old. Testament. Most of the Old Testament is about him loving his people in spite of them, not loving him. Blight piece setup laws for nation was like, Yo, don't take advantage of the poor don't hold debts over People's head longer than seven years I. Think about that like dig about if after seven years, all of us were freed from our debt, what that will do it do one or two things one people wouldn't run the debt up. So high on you because they know they couldn't keep you for a n eternity. So they'd give you a fair price for what you're supposed to pay for and. Then, number two, you would know if you made a bad decision, you wouldn't be stuck in that decision for the rest of your life lights as basic things like that. Like when you look at us I like the law really does care about us and it's not just on a spiritual level. It's actually on a human level. I think if we got back to that, which is okay. Yeah. I could definitely charge somebody triple what this is worth and they may be dumb enough to take it but. The Lord's character was say I shouldn't do that and I deal with people in equal weights not they..

"LIKE Two thumbs. Packer. Packer Packard. Packers. I want to be honest. Win I stopped listening to that clip almost the I've made up my mind about this. Latest. Export from Holly Weird. About certain parts of media, it's like they're commenting in upset about something they haven't even seen. Is. Just like come on engage it thoughtfully have now tyler you've seen it is funny is a good. Until I'm we're going to give we'll do a full review on the side we will. All right. We'll give you the phone. So I WANNA it I, want to say the here here's a here's the one thing that I'll tease about that I'm wanting to say right now is that I I there is a scene in which everybody goes to a a very a very great satire of like hip cool, wide church out on the west coast and which they seeing a made up praise and worship songs apparently was written by a commie troop out there and I thought I was gonNA. LOSE MY MIND A. The scene is worth the price of admittance by itself. That's all I'll say for the time being, but I would definitely recommend. If nothing I'm told there's actually maybe going to be a music video released independently for just that and so fanatic comes out. On the. All right. What else got? So. This there was a new study that came out from the folks over at lifeway that had a lot of interesting things to really want to focus in on just one part of it. Wife Way Research doing some polling about the upcoming election here trying to find out where Christians are going to vote not a whole lot of surprises. The majority of Christians, especially, White Evangelical, still very much in the tank for the president. A few more evangelical planning on voting for Biden. They were planning on voting for Hillary Clinton at the same point in two, thousand, sixteen, twenty twenty. But but not a whole lot of surprises by my lights in there. One thing that I did find interesting I wanted to get your take on was the question they asked about who you hope you're presidential vote benefits in other words when you vote, who are you voting for what? What were you thinking? This is going to be helpful for like aren't you hoping that the the administration will affect the greater good or wrestling? Family, are you thinking about the next generation with social security? The future environment, right right. So this is all that lifeway covered with this particular question was about US voters with evangelical relates right. So they these are people who affirm the the four tenets of evangelical ISM Lifeway to finds them of these the overwhelming majority forty one percent say that we're forty, one a majority. Boost. The largest chunk of the pull the largest section, the overwhelmingly largest section at forty one percent. Says people nationwide who are like me in other words when these people vote, they are thinking in terms of the house is GonNa Benefit People like me twenty percent. Say Me and my family. So all told that sixty one percent who primarily thinking in terms of themselves, their family and other people like them. You have fifteen percent who say people our country has failed nine percent who are thinking of people nationwide who are different from me. An eight percent are thinking in terms of people in my community. So not just mean people who are like me but people in my local level and then seven percent say they're not sure I. Don't know about you. But for me, that kind of helps a lot of things click into place and got me reflecting on my own vote and a new Jalan thinking they're sixty one percent of Christians. Evangelical 's say. Voting to benefit themselves. Yeah not thinking in terms of people who have been left by by the country or even just people who aren't like them. There's very clear dividing line there. It's like sad but not surprising. You know there's a lot of like you know we're gonNA lose things and things are gonna be taken away and we've got a stand for what is hours. Instead of you know the like what fourteen percent who said they're voting for someone or the people that are countries left behind I think it's a sad. Sad reality but I also think that those who will be like. Well, what's wrong with that? Like there's wrong. This is what I get to do. Shut the I don't think that's like for me I'm light. Yeah that that that is America though right I think we ought to come to grow. Maybe I've just come to grips with that a little earlier, but this isn't surprising. I don't know if it's even sad because I'm just kinda like yeah. America. is about go get yours for it's not. About Gogi go help people you you and your tribe benefiting. That's not majority versus minority mindset. It's not that reiter it. It's not others it's about how I can protect what I have and Anymore, start talking about helping others that are less fortunate than now they the socialism tag on you right? Like that's what it is. Is like the idea of saying, Hey, we should help. These people because they're underrepresented in our country and usually when they are represented represented a bad way. But Desk Socialism. It'll make the edit on this, but that's something Rick Warren talked about that? He said I was it was it wasn't until after I had gone to to Christian universities and seminaries that I realized that the Bible talks about the poor over a thousand times and and And like I had to like learn that the. that. The Bible actually advocates for is that we are supposed to be. Selflessly, living for others and that's what the Christian life is about a thousand verses about the poor and so he his whole life has been how do we help lift people's to stimulate out of those patterns? How do we? You know like? It's transformative your worldview if you actually read the Bible in a might. Well. What about the? What about the famous verse? God helps.

This is, of course, the story of two lovable losers who hatched a plan to make a quick buck off of Christians when they realized that making successful Christian movie doesn't require too much of a Christian or even much of a filmmaker. As a faith-based stars Luke Barnett Tanner Thomason Margaret show. David Kochner Lance rettig Jason Alexander I was the trailer couple of weeks back and it's a real hoot. Of the. Gun Invents Micheli he co wrote this and directed the movie and we talked a little bit about Jesse. I think you probably remember the conversation that happened earlier. It was announced when it made an appearance on Fox and friends and based on the the one sentence teaser. What this movie was about I would say Fox and friends was less than excited about. The movie because the movie is an attack on the very fundamental said our founding fathers. We would.

This is a big role in softball if in me player out there has more than two braces on like one knee one elbow Sudanese is the worst side. That guy's going hard way to. A reason to get braces on their coming sliding headfirst into. The pletcher the catcher state in their over the plate there below him up. Just. Totally uncalled for like it's like the old deacon from the Church in a church league playing catcher and all the sudden the the maniac you know millennial passer where to knee braces and an elbow pad comes round third drops. A shoulder just lays out old deacon. That's all you play. If the guy was multiple races is coming down the pipe, just give them off to you said that because there was this guy on my basketball team big white guy he looked like he had failed maybe three grade. And he had. To need braces and they literally just put him into file. A foul and get rebounds that was his job don't don't shoot. Don't do nothing just file the best player on IT'S True and if I was a coach I would say go oeser tag that guy just oeser tag them right now and just like Greg oeser tagged giant White Guy Body just nailing everybody in the lane high you're gonNA come on out. Think you should unhitch the break and roll it a little closer to the main house. The whole time. Yeah, that's my that's my tech advice. Can I ask you a question about the studio tiny house because I think it's incredible and? She's got a studio chef it is. It was it costs them built or did you have a trailer new guys kind of like what was it was in the original intention of the tiny house to be a tiny house or did you retro fit like a pre existing kind of structure? It was an original tiny house. We bought it as is kind of a tiny house company. Okay. Cool. 'cause I have a backyard shed old school style concrete slab nothing fancy. Right now, it just holds like poor floats and Christmas lights, and in for reason, it's terrified to go into like is absolutely terrified. But some money on facebook you know during quarantine a lot of people are trying to figure out the virtual thing and recording podcasts. I'm doing stuff like that. It's like dude that's set up would be really cool. You know to have like that. So I went out to the shed the other day just kind of be like, oh. What would I be in for just hypothetically, if I were to go like she shed all, you know a Home Office said, he said situation but I you know a she sheds. than he sheds pillows, he sheds. Sheds are what I currently have, which has basically scary dark holding cable toys and Christmas lights. It basically breeding ground for murder whole. Hornets, and so I went in there. So I went like they're wondering where the murder Hornets came from. There's too many he sheds around better just mutating crazy hornets went in there to scope it out and I was like I. Think. He says you need to keep walking on the straight path. Don't be tempted to buy crooked ways when things aren't working out. Don't be tempted by crooked ways. Don't be kept in by shortcuts. Shortcuts are gonna get you into deep weeds stay on the straight and narrow path and head for the goal and he says then you're lame foot will not be disabled but instead it'll be healed. What's he talking about there in the race of life we we all run with a limp. Everyone of us have limps as we said it every you have some emotional limps your emotion and don't always work right. You have some relational limps. You have some weaknesses in your relationships. You have some physical limps. Your body doesn't always work doc right. You have some spiritual limps. You're not a strong spiritual as you could use some financial limps. You don't have the money that uh that you could have. You have all kinds of limps. Everybody walks through life with a limp. If i have a natural limp i data stay on the straight path because if i get on a crooked path with a natural limp i'm more likely to stumble and if i get on a rocky path with a natural i'm more likely to fall if i get on a crooked path and a mountain path then i stumble because i have a natural limp abet to fall so the only way i'm going to stumble this is if i stay on god's.

"Now we got a problem because you're trying to teach my children, not simply to accept and show dignity to everybody, but you're asking me to approve that's a different issue. Number eight. The church has the greatest potential to show good in the world because we have the greatest future. We already know how history's going to end. I've read the last chapter folks we win. It is inevitable. It is unavoidable. God is in control, our battles lost. Yes. Are their scars? Yes. But the ultimate victory is certain. And so we operate out of a sense of hope Matthew twenty four fourteen. The good news about God's kingdom will not might will will be preached into all the world as a testimony to every nation and then the end she'll come. I want to close with an example of the power of a local church to change a society. I have been working in the country for Wanda for about fifteen years. I've had over two thousand four hundred fifty of my members working in Rwanda. We sent federal judges to train their judges. We sent policemen to train their police. We spent over two hundred nurses to train, their nurses. We sent farmers to train, farmers and entrepreneurs train, entrepreneurs and pastors to train over four thousand pastors in three thousand years of training and the president stood on stage as these men who many of them hadn't finished high school, walked across the national stage in cap and gown in the president is handing them a certificate for purpose driven training, three hundred years. It was the closing. Speaker at the national the global summit on malaria. I was invited to speak at that. And I said, we'll all come if I can bring a Rwandan pastor because I want to show that you cannot solve any world problem without involving local churches because of their distribution and participation and all the things I just shared with you. They said, okay. So I stood up in front of a large crowd. And I said, let me show you why you can't solve any problem in the world without church. I've spoken four times at the World Economic Forum in Davos, and they always talked about public and private partnerships. I said, that's good. But it's not enough because there are three legs of stool not to. One leg. It's dual all over a two legged stool will fall over, you have to have three and there are three segments of society, not to public private and faith public government NGOs, private business, faith churches, it takes all three legs of the stool and each of them brings something to the table. I just gave you eight of a dozen that the church brings to the table, the government and business don't have. So I said, let me show you why you can't solve any problem. You know, I said, when I went to Rwanda they're five provinces, they're like states, and we do a program called peace promote reconciliation equip leaders assist the poor care for the sick educate. The next generation PAC five, thanks. Jesus do. I've sent out twenty five thousand eight hundred sixty nine members to one hundred ninety seven countries. The peace plan of saddleback I was told by the head of the peace corps. I was told by the head of the peace corps, saddlebags peace plan is now larger than the peace corps of America. Yeah. We've actually we're in far more countries. We're in one hundred ninety seven countries. So on the screen, I said, let me show you something, I said, this is the country of Rwanda. It has five different states or provinces. And I asked I said, we do five things P E, and I asked the president, we do he said, well in the western province, I want you to do see care for the sick because there's two million people there that need healthcare, I said, okay. Great. So the next slide here are the if you see the H is there are three inches. Those are the three hospitals for two million people. Now in Rwanda's a very hilly country. So it's a two days walked to a hospital. And if you get to a hospital you have to bring your own food. There's no guarantee you're actually going to get in. And two of those hospitals had no doctors in them is just volunteers, nurses, and volunteer, nurses, and things like that didn't have any doctors so two days walk to the nearest hospital. Once you get there is no guarantee you're even going to get any kind of help and you have to cook your food and bring your own food. I said, that's not good healthcare. Now watch this. Here's the next slide. I said here are the eighteen clinics in western province, Rwanda. That's a whole lot better. Because now it's only one day's walk to a clinic. Okay. But I said, I have been in those eighteen clinics and it's not like our clinic, so in America, one of the clinics, I went into there was a Steph microscope, from the nineteen fifties and nothing else, no med. Adds nothing clinic might mean a bottle of aspirin on the shelf. That's it one of the clinics, I went into about the size of this ramp right here. And there was a lady on the floor giving birth. It was basically just a covering. That was it. I said now. That's not good health. It's better than three hospitals, but that's still not good healthcare, by the way, sixteen of those eighteen clinics are church based so you wouldn't have those if it weren't for the church said now watch this. Here are the seven hundred twenty eight churches in the western province, where would you like to get your healthcare three days? Walk two days walk, or five minutes away. Melinda gates, Bill Gates wife sitting on the front row. She walks up to me after the service, I get it, Rick, the church could be the distribution center for healthcare. I said, Melinda, it has been for two thousand years. Okay. So then. I said, I'm going to prove to you that I can do it faster than any government, and I can do it faster than any Joe by simply using local churches. So I went to those churches, and I asked him, I said, are any of you willing to be like Guinea, pigs? We don't know we're going to try this. Your village is never going to have a doctor. It will never ever have docked. There aren't enough. Doctors in the world put a doctor in every village. So we're going to train people in your church to be the village, doctor and do basic care, eighteen pastors volunteered for that experiment. And it said, okay, each of you pick two people, and we're going to bring him in, and we're going to put them through three months of intensive training there in Rwanda. And so these eighteen churches pick. Two people. He's still had thirty six people. While we're there, the Muslims are couple mosque came to us and said, we know this is a Christian thing, but would you mind if we sit in on it, and I said, well, we're going to sing Christian songs we're going to have bible study, but you're welcome to come and they said, thank you. And they were actually crying. And we said, this is a health issue, not a religious issue. So come on, in, you can. So they're sitting through our daily quiet time. Our daily prayers are daily worshiped in this and they had four. So we had forty in the original group. Now, the first thing we teach them how to dress, a wound second thing, how to Stitcher wound, then we taught them how to set a bone, then we taught them additional, thanks for the different ailments of the body. And then we said, we're going to send you out back to your church and you're going to visit seven families the week, like a country, doctor. And if they're fine, you teach them a little health lesson, and then you go to the next place, if not you do whatever you need to do, and you're going to pick another person yourself that's going to go through the next training. Well, they went out and they were very very successful. And we came back. We those forty chose forty more. And we trained eighty. Three months later. They eighty became one hundred and sixty three months later became three hundred and twenty three months later, it became six hundred forty. Three months later became twelve hundred and eighty and you get you see the exponential growth. I then went to that one hospital in that area. And I said, I tell you what, we'll help you upgrade your hospital if you will accept these people from the churches as co workers in the health ministry. They said, we'll be glad to and we got churches starting to cook the meals for the spills. Few years back, I went to eight and did an outdoor rally with six thousand volunteer healthcare workers. Who are going door to door in their village and carrying in the name of Jesus Christ and their church. That's the power of the church. How much that cost me? Nothing. Nothing. We didn't have to take when Jesus sent the seventy out. He said, don't take purse, what do you mean by that? Don't throw money at it. Our idea is go build an orphanage. Please don't of ninety nine ways to in helping orphaned, orphanage would be my last choice. The word orphanage is not in the bible. It's a western idea. There are one hundred and thirty six million orphans in the world. We couldn't build enough orphanages for all, and you ask any kid anywhere in the world. Would you rather be in an orphanage or in a family? There's no question about it. The answer is adoption. And foster care, when when the president of Rwanda came to me, and he said, we've had a genocide, I want you to help us rebuild the purpose driven nation. We've got a million orphans from the genocide. I said, well, I'll help you just realize we don't believe in orphanages, and we began an adoption program, and we began systematically, closing down the orphanages of Rwanda from one hundred fifty two twenty five to ten to three this last year. We closed the largest one we'd closed another one this year. And by the end of next year, Rwanda will be the first nation in the world. With no orphanages now not any not any. Let me pray for you. You can make a difference. Spouse are heads. Lord, you have given the people in this room talents and abilities, and giftedness and contacts and relationships and networks and wisdom, you've given them influence. You've brought them here because you want to use them as a culture creator, as a culture changer as a world shaker as a movement maker. And I pray that will realize that what scares us to death. The Holy Spirit will empower us to do. I pray your blessing on every woman that she will be the godly woman. You wanted to be, and I pray for every man that he will be the godly man, you wanted to be, and that we will never be ashamed of your church realizing that it's the only thing that's going to last I pray this blessing in the name of the father and the son and the Holy Spirit. And everybody said. Ed,.

"Bible says, I Peter Ford ten each of you have been blessed with one of God's many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift. Well, that's the government of God used the gift, you've been given teacher should teach and leaders should leave hospitality people should hospitality. Whatever. Are let me just tell you what if you want your church to grow, it's real simple. Love people in the first three years of saddleback church K, and I had every single member in our home during the first three years, every Tuesday and Thursday, we had people on our home. She cooked the same thing every Tuesday, and every Thursday, because it wasn't about the food. We just wanted to make sure people felt welcomed unwanted unloved. If your church genuinely loves people, you'd have to lock the doors to keep people out, because they're looked when you say, oh, we're churches loving what we need is we love everybody who's already here. That's different. We used to have a rule called the three minute rule that after church was over. You couldn't talk to anybody you knew for three minutes. You had to find somebody who didn't know, maybe a stranger visitor guest. Number six the church is the greatest force for good. Because the church has the highest motivation. Our motivation for good for doing good is not profit a lot of businesses are doing that. Now doing good to make the goods. It's not profit not fame, not politics. It's not power. We don't do good for laws. We'd do it outta love. I love our motivation has left first John four seven and eight. We must love each other for.

"Now back to pastor Rick, Warren. Number four. The forth thing that we have that can give us the power to do good in society that others can't do is the church has the fastest expansion. The church has the fastest expansion now because we're in America, we don't realize this, you have to get around the world and other countries to realize how fast church is growing. It's not growing fast in America, but it is growing fast all around the world. One scholarly survey says that worldwide Christianity is growing about sixty six million people a year. That's about one hundred eighty thousand people a day. Did you know that you wouldn't know that from American media? I remember one time Newsweek put up a cover and put the death of Christian America. And the death of the church is black. Remember that? I wrote him a note. I've been on the cover of Newsweek twice once as a hero once zero. Same thing. I've been on the cover of time twice. Once he ruined once zero but I wrote a note and said, Geiss, the church, you'll be existing long after everybody's forgotten Newsweek. You're gonna be dead and buried. But the church is going to go on. They didn't like that. But at the end of that year, they went bankrupt and ceased printing..

"Washington's one six as this all over the world all over the world disgust Ables bearing fruit and growing, we have the largest participation, we have the widest distribution. That's why we can do the most good number three. The church has the longest continuation. The longest continuation what I mean by that. It's been doing good long than anybody else on the planet. Like two thousand years. That's not exactly a fly by night organization. Most governments, our government is what two hundred and fifty years old, the churches two thousand years old. It's been doing good for millennium. Nobody has been doing good longer you and in recent years, it was interesting. I thought it was a day, she's that the government was trying to tell churches how to do healthcare. I'm really we've been doing it two thousand years longer than you. Most people don't know we invented the hospital, not government not business. Not education, the church invented the hospital. Because when the black plague came into Europe, as everybody was fleeing the cities nearby areas, Christians moved in to take care of the dying and that's where the phrase, see how they love one. Another came from. We invented the hospital, the DASS ity of government trying to tell us how to do healthcare. I spent a lot of time in Africa. Thirty percent of all the healthcare in Africa is done by Catholic Christians. If you were to take the Catholic Christian and the hospitals and clinics out of Africa, it would collapse overnight. That's why go look at any hospital. Saint Mark Saint Vincent Saint Luke, Saint Matthew and on and on. Why? Because Christians served the bible says that Jesus went into every village, preaching teaching and healing and says it twice preaching teaching and healing. Our faith is a preaching teaching healing faith. We believe in preaching evangelism. We believe in teaching that's education and we believe in healing. That's healthcare. We we'd believed that Jesus doesn't want to just take people having he wants them to have an educated mind and healthy body to people ask me, are you pro-life? I said oh on far more than pro-life. I'm whole life. I'm whole I not only want that little girl to be born. I wanted to grow up without being molested. I wanted to get an education. I wanted to be healthy. I wanted to not be abused. I don't want to be able to be a metoo victim. I I'm pro-life, but I'm more than that. I'm whole life, and I wanted all taken care of. It is not by accident you go into any country in the world and the first school in the first hospital was started by missionaries. We started them. Most people don't know that of the thirteen Ivy league universities in the United States, every single one of them, we're started bypass tres four pastors except Cornell, Harvard bypass tres for passer. Harvard was a pastor Yale bypass four passers. Princeton bypass just four every single Ivy league school. Except Cornell was started by pastors four pastors at train ministries. So we have the widest distribution. We're all over the world. Number four, the longest continuation. You know, we get upset when we see dictators around the world that are. Oppressing Christianity, and doing different things. With the one thing you can say about every dictators this they're gonna die. Their time on earth is a blip. Governments change. Empires, change dictators die. But the church goes on. We have the longest continuation. We have outlasted every other ISM for two thousand years. And whatever new 'isms come up. We will outlast that why. Because Jesus form, the church, I will build my church. Why is it your outlasted everything? Well, it's indestructible. The bible says this in Matthew sixteen eighteen I will build my church. And all the powers of hell no not concrete. You know, friends, we don't know Jesus Christ is going to come back. The bible says, three times, Matthew twenty five be ready. Be ready, be ready. But we don't really know could come back tonight could come back a thousand years from today. We don't know. But I do know this if Jesus Christ doesn't come back soon. If this world goes on for another thousand years, what's life going to be, like, two thousand years? There won't be a Starbucks. There won't be a Microsoft in two thousand years. There won't be an apple. There won't be a United States of America. Why nothing men made last forever? Where's the Hittite empire? Whereas the Assyrian empire whereas the horrific empire whereas the Babylonian by they're all gone because they're man made. But I wanna tell you something thousand years from now I know something we'll just they'll be churches. Because Christ died for the church and I wanna tell you if you're a betting person bet on the church every time. Don't bet on something man made it's not going to last the pendulum swings back and forth. The only thing that's going to last is what God has made. And it's gonna last forever. It's in fact, the bible says that the church is gonna outlast the universe. That's pretty long time. That's pretty long. So bet.

"An effective life. If you spread your energy out and defuse it over a whole bunch of things we've learned first hands as an eye that you'll make little impact there's a story about an archery teacher, he put a wooden bird as a target, and he asked his students to aim at the eye of the bird, the first student was asked to describe what he saw he said, I see the trees the branches the leaves the sky the bird, and it's I. Then he asked the other student, and he said, I only see the eye of the bird and the teacher said, very good. You can shoot the air went straight and hit the eye of the bird. The point of this story is if you focus your life, it can be very powerful, it can even change the world. I really love that story. When you think about it? You know, it reminds, you know, our our one of our pastors actually our pastor Rick Warren that we've been going to he he says it best I wrote it down because he says the secret to an effective life that you're talking about is focus. So don't try fifty things that you dabble in. He says, no what's most important in do those things and don't worry about anything else. I feel like we can totally testify to that. And so many times my life where I feel. Like, I've had to do it all so we feel if there is one thing for today's show, the key to helping you grow out of a distracted mind and into a purpose filled. Focus mindset, it is this. Okay. Just this one seed that I want you guys to plant into your mind. Can you guess what it is? Well, if you plant this into your mind today, I have a feeling it will renew the way that you think and you can start on that journey of living a focus purposeful life. Okay. Listen to this focus on your purpose. Not your problem when you stay focused on your purpose. Not your problem. You can be happy.
