"That. Email. Stevens email should have done it, but I forgot it was going to play today. So Daniel, your organ is an oil analyst, and he's one of the smartest guys out there. Additionally, He's great historian of business, and he wrote the ultimate book on the entire history of the oil industry, and it's still It's called the prize, and it's still in print all these decades later, because if you care about the modern times and what actually Was the energy that propelled modern times its oil industry and he had it all. It's great stuff. But in this he's talking about the future for electric cars. And he goes just a decade and a half ago, CEO of General Motors Rick Wagoner. Observed Larry Burns that time head of GM research and strategy that not many industries stay the same for an entire century. But the automobile industry had so far been the exception. Gas fuelled run by internal combustion engines, four wheels. What's the carve the next 100 years going to look like now? Notice, he said a decade and a half ago. That was the exact same year. They'd asked me to write an outside review on hydrogen fuel cell cars that GM and I didn't take it as seriously as I should have. But I dashed off nine pages didn't even send it to my editor. So who knows how many mistakes were in it? But it basically was history of GM Alfred Sloan, the legendary chair of General Motors. While GM did have research and design studios on many things, Alfred Sloan wouldn't spend the money. As he kept telling his people. Sooner. Everybody else going to spend money on this stuff. And when they figured out will simply by the patent rights and make it a case in point. Safety glass. You know, everybody expects that on the car today, but people forget in the earliest days I had tempered glass. You could have an accident. And your glass shattered and you had massive glass shards all over you. So we knew. And remember this also in the day without really good roads, so you could be going down the road and your buggy. Here to mud pit on that dirt road after rainstorm, and you could twist the car and shattered the glass and when windshield So Sloane says somebody else. Let them spend the money on creating a glass of won't do that. And we'll by the patent rights. Well, it was the Ford Motor Company that came up with it. And GM simply started making it too. And that was hydrogen fuel cell cars going back to the story. Daniel Jurgen recently was talking to Wagner about that conversation, and Rick said I was asking if we were starting the auto industry today. How would it be different? Because we're fundamentally building the same product we made over 100 years ago. And so automakers is Daniel points at her committing tens of billions of dollars over the next decade to electric vehicle development. They're shifting a vast industrial and consumer ecosystem. There is so basic to the economy, this can do nothing but face big challenges. They said. The result, he says, the result of the share of new cars that wound up being EVs by 2030. Probably is going to be no more than 25%. If everything goes well. In any case, he talks about 2000 and eight and the first Tesla Roadster. He said. The time it looked like a novelty car, If you recall, I think it was a body by lotus and suspension, wasn't it? But he points out. It was also over $100,000. But here's how Tesla came to be. Five years earlier, a young electric vehicle enthusiast JB Stroble, had lunch with a guy named Elon Musk in Los Angeles. He was trying to pitch Elon Musk, uh, on an electric airplane. When Musk had no interest in that whatsoever, he switched over to electric car. The original idea championed by Thomas Edison more than a century ago. Here's the thing. Thomas Edison wanted great. A car for the masses. He's the one the first said that an electric car by the way. And here's electric battery was actually light years ahead of its time. Nothing like we have today, but it was light years ahead of its time. When he never got that electric car off the ground. Henry Ford, who would later become his friend stole his line about the car for the masses. Put it on his model T I digress. In 2000 and eight musk jumped on the idea. And some years later must said that without that luncheon that day, Tesla wouldn't exist Basically. That car was over 100,000 and it was a disaster. If you doubt that Google George Cloney comma Tesla comma type in the F word. And see if that car wasn't a disaster. That was a Reuters story by the way. In any case, the Nissan Leaf came out in 2010. It predated the Tesla. General Motors came out with the Chevy Volt. By the way, my paper talking about maybe hydrogen fuel cell cars might be a reality in 2050. But if you think you're bringing it to market and another five years that's not going to happen. Um, GM followed up that with the Chevy bolt with a B in 2016. In any case he talks about the V shift is, in fact picking up speed. The European Union's proposing tough regulations on carbon dioxide emissions from cars made or sold in Europe that effectively bans the sale of new cars. With internal combustion engines after 2035. That's right. You can dial down your mandate for missions out of automobiles, and you can make it where internal combustion engines can't perform that way anymore. California, Massachusetts of announced also dates they want to get rid of it. In Shanghai, China, They offer free license plates for if you buy what they call a new energy vehicle, an electric car. If you buy a gas powered car in Shanghai, you.

Michelle's happens to help you through it, 844. I got half of it right? And in my world that's a passing grade. That's a C That's almost a C minus. Yeah. What I got or passing? Yeah, Okay. I was happy with the C. Oh, gosh. I would not be happy with the C. I didn't really know I had a good friend of mine, Rick Wagoner said. He used to help me. Study goes, no matter you can study as hard when you're still going to get see. Really? Yeah, He was right. I'd come home. She's honest, Tommy. Tommy made okay grades, But Tommy never applied himself. I thought he was stupid. Then he goes off in the Navy, and he ends up being a medic and he's freaking genius. But if I ever came back with a B If I brought home a report car with a B on it, my dad would sit down and say what's going on? You know, he he wasn't mean. He was just saying, I expect more of you. You know, it's so weird, too, because if I ever came home with a B, my dad would sit me down and say Hey, what's going on? Who the hell are you? Cheating off? It would do awesome. And then he sucked me in on that kind of I didn't see that accused me of cheating cheating and he would stand for not stand for that. My father was very honest man. "A very high stakes game of chicken. Is the simplest Packers have to come to the realization he's not coming back and then therefore go get their best deal. Um, sort of. I think they already realized that, though, because this is the situation, despite not having been in the media, up until about a few days ago, has been going on for months. I can tell you that the Rams made an offer and try to try to go get him. There's some back channel conversations they had with him prior to trading for Matt Stafford on the Green Bay rebuffed it at that time Niners did to the Niners did the day before the traffic. The Rams did it before the Stafford deal, and so they've been trying to. They've been trying to get him and bring him in. For a while. The Packers have been flying out there trying to talk to him all this kind of stuff. I think as long as Brian good against is there, there's no way or Rogers comes back. This is just good against or is it Mark Murphy as well? I think that he's Personal animus is with Brian Good against. I think that would Mark Murphy could be patched up. And he had Murphy have had conversations between February and now, But I think that there's Animosity with more than one party, but the split or the hard sell is with good goods. What about John James and the Broncos? What do they do there? That's a tough situation, especially after he kind of he was working out at the Broncos facility. And then when the Players association decided to do this arbitrary, ot a boycott thing, Hey, went along with the team, even though he disagreed with it went home and started working out. And when you're working from off site, you're not covered under team insurance. So he wiped out five million and injury protections and 10 million in salary and he ended up really hurting himself on that one. The Broncos. I mean, I talked a couple Bronco sources. They're very, you know, empathetic. But right now that situation is one where he sees he and the players have really kind of set themselves up for failure in the players Union massively overplay their hand. Not all the players were on board with not doing these OTA is I can tell you that right? It was not Wasn't he wanting to do the O T. A S was that he's not the only guys like Alexander Johnson. These guys were showing up there, guys, they're showing up. They just agreed not to talk about it to kind of keep the unified the perception of a unified front. But there I could tell you that locker room was upset about it. And there were guys in that locker room and said We were five win football team, the optics of not showing up for opiates While we're trying to make a power grab on something we didn't collectively bargain. Eyes is bad and JC trader and some of these guys have massively overplay their hand on this, and they're gonna get a lot of pushback this week because of John James was gonna get this could get really sticky with the union. It could get really sticking with you. So if you had to make a prediction will the Broncos Say sorry. You know, we feel bad, but we need this money to get another right tackle. If I'm predicting something, I suggest that they probably what the Eagles did with Jason Peters a few years ago, which has reached a settlement half um yeah, reach reach a settlement. You carry him on the roster and its equitable for everybody. You get cap savings. He gets some of his money. Nobody's the bad guy in it. You know, when you go forward from there, it's not one report that said it's a season indeed. Injurious another report this So what? Maybe there's a chance. He can come back. Is it a Tauron? Achilles? Yes and partially corn's not fully tourney, And there is some optimism that he could be back for the final month of the season. Give or take talked with my Garofalo, who put that out The second report. Talk with him yesterday, and it seems like that's the hope. But that's more of a hope that a medical diagnosis I'll just say based on The fax that we have That would seem highly unlikely to make and it's Z is more hope and wishful thinking that I think it is anything else. So with the Broncos have any interest in a Gallic Mitchell Schwartz or Charles Leno or what do they do it right tackle. Those are two names that are out there. I don't think Leno's gonna be one of them talked to somebody yesterday they hadn't reached out to him yet with Mitchell Schwartz. I talked to his brother Jeff yesterday for quite a bit, and Mitch is still rehabbing. He's not ready to play. So even if they reach out to that, that's kind of a giant question. Mark still has some back issues, some other names that are out there right now that I would suggest Rick Wagoner, Audie Massey. The more Dotson could be brought back, although I think that's kind of an emergency option and then Cam Fleming and Dennis Kelly would be other. They're going to bring some guys in this week and kind of take a look and see where they're at and go from there. So Mitchell Schwartz. He had a back issue that he's still rehabbing. Yeah, he's still rehabbing that back issue last year's Iranian play in the Super Bowl, and he's contemplating retirement. And the rest of these guys. Anybody stand out to you other than him. Cam plaints. Dawson's old. I mean, he did a fairly good job last year. Yeah, but he's old. Yeah, Dotson's a fun guy. He's good in the locker room, but you can't You literally can't run the screen game to his side..

"But, yeah, the best thing about this golf deal outside of the two first round picks. It's a team option. After a year to with Jared Goff. It's not like got to go. I'm gonna act in for 60 year. No, the team can say you know what if you blow chunks you're out of here. And if God I mean Look at your golf are the 85% of the league would take jerk offs, a starting quarterback. I mean, this guy is still a legit young quarterback that one team has given up on and Sean McVeigh in him didn't have the best relationship. He does things. That may be a new situation. We see these guys all the time, they need a new spot. The new offense, and Tyler Weaver and I were talking off the air. Your golf is a systematic quarterback. Look what he had Todd Gurley. The man was a beast. People were saying that you know, he's gonna future MVP's gonna win a lot of Super Bowls out there. What he lost that they just expected chair got to go out there and start throwing 80 yard bombs to Robert Woods downfield as he waves good bye to the defense. That's not gonna happen. So now Jared Goff has it as a chance to kind of, you know, restart and rebrand his own career here in Detroit and with the fresh Coaching staff, and Anthony Lynn is the new offensive coordinator. That's going to change things around with the young running back to India and Greece with I'm excited for it. Let's get across the border and speak with cowboy in Windsor. What's going on, man? Good afternoon, boys and explain it for it to correspond to staff will be 33 tomorrow because I mean Gossens Basson Stafford Statistics were pretty similar over the last four years that I know God had all sorts of weapons over there any any Suppose that offensive genius in the case, But I guess I don't know what happened to him was injuries. I think he was injured for a lot of the last couple of years. Then he fell on a favor. With McVeigh and I think that over here, you banking now, Anthony Luna was a heck of a of an offensive coordinator before he sort of bombed out with the Chargers. But like if he can put together something plus with the two number one draft choice is we're gonna get We can start to work on our on our defense, which was horrid last year, and it's only a two year Ah, situation with golf. I mean, if he fails to improve or anything, he'll be out of here. And then they can draft their quarterback of the future. Maybe in 2023, you know Stafford. Well, an ex Stanford is a pretty good chance of baby. Going places over there with the Rams because, as you mentioned they have, you know Erin Donald other great defensive players over there. And so I think there's a There's a chance that you know, we might see Stafford. Maybe in May be the next Super Bowl, or 57 or something. Yeah, I think this is a good trade both ways, But I think it's gonna end might help the wine's even Maura overall in the in the long run, because God's only 26. As I said before, I think he's I think he's gonna improve enough that he's gonna be a good if not greater. Um, you know, like Tom Brady Laker of Patrick, my home, play quarterback and have a good Ah, have a good week, boys. See you later. Cow weighed Windsor lot to say last to break down there. Here's the thing Ryan about Matthew staffer If he goes through a right situation, quote unquote like Ella thinks that they have their guide to win. You know, multiple championships is staff for the guy to get him there. Yeah, I think so. I mean, he, you know, the one thing that he didn't have in Detroit was besides, Caldwell was coaching. I mean, he had A boatload of coaches, and they just you know, I never got the job done. And that's one thing that the Chargers have. And they also have a defense, which he really hasn't had, Um He did have a He had a great defense. What? 2014 number two Defense number two defense like, but again, I think it just comes down to You know the coaching aspect? He he was never put in a situation win all their games. They had to come from behind you. That should never happened. I mean, they get they get off to these 7 14 Point leads. And then all of a sudden you're down 18 points like how does that happen? And I don't think that's gonna happen in l A. So I think. You know, he has a good chance to say, Take the ramps of the Promised land. Yeah, I mean, like we've seen the Matthew Stafford like you just said he's never had an elite play collar at head coach or offensive coordinator position. We had Joe Lombardi and we bought it heads with and that they switch over to Jim Bob Cooter, and things are great and then all their button heads again, and the offense is it's horrible and it's predictable. And then they move on to Darrell Bevell, which I mean in the 2019 season. It seemed like okay, he's letting unmarried out. It's kind of like back in 2011. When they were just let him throw the ball. He's strong for 5000 yards. He gets hurt. He comes back and more conservative by the same thing this year. But maybe shepherd like he's ever had an elite collar like Frank Reich or John McVeigh. So I'm interested to see when he has this elite coach. Are they gonna butt heads? Are they gonna mesh? Well, That's my thing. I'm really interested to see that from Matthew Stafford. Because McVeigh is, you know, the golden poster child of the head coaching style in the in the NFL. You know, Finn, photographic memory offensive genius, and Stafford has never had that. I think he's a legit quarterback. That's gonna you know, has still five or six really good years left in the league. If staying healthy. I think the guy is injury. Probably. He's never really had an offensive line, you know. Rick Wagoner stepped on his knee and you twisted ankle or, you know, bump into Taylor Decker's helmet with his ring finger, and it is always having constant nagging injuries. And hopefully l A keeps, um, keeps them healthy. But Jared Goff is not this, You know, Week Southern Cal kid. I mean, look at his, you know, look at his body workout in l A. He was stick in the pocket. He's kind of mobile. Um, not the best arm not even close to what Matthew Stafford has. But maybe that's maybe that's good. You know, maybe not taking shots. Every three plays downfield, Quintus. Safest. We'll change things up here. Hopefully it gets Haakenson more involved, too. On just short kind of tight end routes. Yes, I mean, we We saw this year they didn't they? You know, they go to him like three times in a row, and then you won't see him the rest of the game. And, you know, it's just hurt My fantasy team last year, you tell you hark incident. Swift are big on fantasy draft boards next year, Regardless of whose quarterback there we had a lot of dump off, Charlie, check down through for sure. For sure. Jeff. I'm afraid before we hit the brake. What's great this Matthew Stafford trade let agree that comes to mind What degrading Brad homes in the new regime in Detroit. This'll greatest specifically from Alliance fan. I gotta give it a day plummets a Grand Slam trade. I mean, you couldn't ask for a better trade from both sides were out. If your Rams fan you could be looking at like Yeah, we gotta win because we haven't had a first round pick about four years so that it's different from the fifth. Rams might be great like a B. I mean, let's see what Matt could do but us Lions fans. We know what that could do. So I mean, we give it a day. I mean golf was given a chance. Um, his ability like you said to throw downfield is questionable. I mean, that Zen. That doesn't really matter like you said. I mean, at the end of the day, we just had a guy a system quarterback,.

Matthew Stafford Jared Goff Detroit Sean McVeigh Rams Chargers Gossens Basson Stafford Um John McVeigh Stanford Darrell Bevell Todd Gurley MVP Alliance Tyler Weaver Anthony Lynn Windsor Robert Woods

"They come in a tree form so you could have like a trunk and then folded on top or a trump form. But e mean I hear people talk about that plant over and over. And you think mainly, just is it easy to take care of I don't think so. But you don't think so. It could be over water. You have to be really careful on the water. And Jack talked earlier about that. So fatally figs. If they're over water, they don't. They don't like that. They get old man. It's just so Yeah. One attended underwater that. What about light for a fiddle leaf? I would say bright, indirect light morning sun would be fine in a window that gets east facing son. But probably not afternoon direction, especially, you know, in the spring and summer months when the sun's more tense. Mm. Interesting stuff. I just, you know, I tried to get in. Christ. You have a lot of house plants at home. Not at home. I did at the office. We had lots of them in the office. Yeah, man in the dome. No. In the dome. I do. Yes. Yeah. Alison, do you your family? You have a lot of we do. We've been collecting, especially during the pandemic. I mean, people want, you know, greenery and some, you know, nature inside, at least since I'm not getting out so Trying to think of Beth and I have a house plant. Why don't think so. You don't have a credit. Don't don't. So what? Yeah, that's usually a good sign. Because generally when we do have houseplants somebody has died. Oh, boy, And that's how Yanks you know it's true truth. It's true. Listen, my father in law died five years ago and one of my partners got me this beautiful ivy. And some some beautiful plants. I took it after the dome planted it. It's still going, so I just called the plant Daddy Bob s. Oh, there you go. I mean, But you're right. That's when we normally get plans. Yeah, that's not gonna I can honestly say And, you know, I'm s so if I wanted to take one plant home shock, what would it be? Something that's easy with me that we have kind of. Ah, baby. Nice bow window. Well, I would say something that matches his personality like a prickly pear. We do have that some are today. I'm prickly Pears. Oh, my God. Yeah, but Anyway, problem, maybe a post those plant, you know the heart shaped leaves. They're really easy to grow. Anyone can grow on. So if you're except the one the string of hearts that comes down well, that's similar to that OK, little bit different than that. But the Po Po's comes in like a has a green and white variegated leaf or playing Greenlee for shark. Cruise color lead, and they're easy. So for the beginner houseplant person, this feel there's wonderful plant for them. Yeah, both those both those? Yeah, All right. And how does that come to sign a six inch ponder? Yeah, but is it hanging it could be in a hanging basket so you could hang it from somewhere in your home or comes in a six or eight inch plant that you put on a window sill on your Under table very easy to grow. What about that money plan? It's been been big. It has been big. That's why the government spending $1.9 Trillion on everybody a check. It worked, everybody. It worked. Money play. That's when they leave the trunks on that Sometimes they do. Yeah. Brady trunk. Great Korean Trump. Yeah, Shock. "Had our poll holders big poll on Friday. And this is the direct result that I am not gonna say I feared But I did not want and Green Bay's lack of defense just did them in that they could not get off the field time ready. Who played a good game. He also threw three picks in the second half. I've seen him play much better. But on third down Especially early in the game, and on that opening drive. I mean, they were positively surgical. The way they kind of carved him up What they wind up nine of 14 on third and obviously one for one, the big Ford down right before half and They had a couple of guys they were picking on. They were picking on Shane and Sullivan, the slot corner they were picking on And I get it. He's a better player than he showed Kevin King. I think he got Mike Patton really, I get I expect him to be fired by the Green Bay Packers sometime in the coming weeks. He's been a reckless coordinator. Throughout his career, he would became a head coach briefly in Cleveland. Kyle was on that staff is the O. C. And so he knows him and the 49 destructive twice last year, he tightened up better this year a little bit. But to leave Kevin King out there and one whole cover one at the end of the half was just ridiculous. And I would blame the floor not so much. I don't agree with all that. Think that it's the obvious talking points that people start on Twitter that just becomes a firestorm about kicking that field goal. I They didn't do well on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down. I wasn't gonna go forward on fourth down either. I would not have gone for two friar. The play that same brown got let get into his chest plate and dropped. I think that was the point you were chasing there. But the floors major problem was not giving help to Rick Wagoner it at right tackle and They just got overwhelmed, but they charge did not have a great game. Losing David Bachtiar e we thought would cost Green Bay a lot. If you didn't seem to be the way they were playing the way they were running the ball. They did not run the ball as effectively in this game. Losing Aaron Jones in the game didn't help as well. Not just about losing Bachtiar. He set off a chain of dominoes to fall Billy Turner to go from right tackle a left tackle and Rick Wagoner is destroying Tak er throughout his career in Baltimore. Detroit winds up starting at right tackle when he got to be used. And Aaron Rodgers and a little bit of that look in his eye that we saw. In the 40 Niners beat of the championship game last year and then likewise, you know that game and we 12 on the Sunday night or where they couldn't block him and I think that was the story is Tampa's defensive line is really good Vida via coming back, made it really hard to run on them. We mentioned the Jones Injury and it just is what it is. I think there was a point there were Green Bay could slip back into the game, but Ultimately, it was not made. It was not going to turn out and I think on this one Sunday, Tampa was the better team. Green Bay got back into the game, but Tampa was the better team. The other game. Where do I go down there? Better Kansas City's better. Another dollar. I thought Jeremy Pringle and we'll ask Mikey Rulebooks attend 50. I thought that was a block either going back towards his own line of scrimmage own goal, I should say or parallel, there was line of scrimmage. On the end around to me, Cole Hardman, which was a big play, and then the Avalanche started. Josh did not play well. He's not played well throughout the playoffs. He had moments where he made big time throws, but Josh Allen, this is this is new for him. It's his third year, the NFL He had to go to a community college. Nobody wound one of them. You want up going toe? I am my own man. He did not go to a big time program. His time will come. But it's not just not yet. But you got to figure out a way you know to deal with them. They're just They're just obviously, as you say there right now that the best team in football, there's no doubt and I do it expect them to beat. Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl. I don't even think the one year where having home field advantage will be mitigated. They're gonna love 22,000 fans. And for the Super Bowl and 7500 will be scattered around the country is first responders and frontline health workers. But We'll see. I mean, I thought Green Bay would be Champa John, but I think Kansas City is by far the best team in football, and I think you know buffalo you could get on McDermott for the field goals. I don't question that either any of the kicks that were made Understand score in time, but you gotta look at your team here. And I'm sure the floor just was not confident. He gonna play call on fourth down to school, and I agree with him and we gotta score the two point conversion against this team. Look at what we did in the first three downs. We're just not there, and likewise, you know, the OC Brian table The head coach. McDermott makes the call there, and I agree with all that, but I think ultimately without question, Kansas City was the best team yesterday and Tampa Bay had just enough Green Bay. What do they play like A C plus game for them. They were not sharp yesterday, either. No doubt about it. Text line is open. If you don't talk about championship Sunday, four and 5 to +856 to +74 and five anyway. Can be are obviously the Green Bay As you said, it's the field goal with 205 left. Also with 2 15 left, some people thought Aaron Rodgers could have run the ball and I'm looking at the pictures right now. I don't think so. Third down, finding Pierre Paul catches and I think there's a couple of guys in the end zone that probably catch him. This is a 37 year old guy, and as athletic as he still can be I don't think he's running 12 yards before he gets caught. But again, that's all these things become open for debate Leflore saying after the game, what you said, having three shots and coming away with no yards and knowing you only need the touchdown but two point conversion. Any time. Something doesn't work out. Do your J..

"Defense needed to do was find room for one final stop single receiver to the right set back to the right side of Terry Goff. Here's the snap. Looking downfield. He steps up on their pressure, he said. Christiane Jerry collapsed on the play with help. I believe from Kenny Clarke. Yes, it has a worker's takeover. 32 18, the final Green Bay's sixth consecutive win, setting up Sunday's NFC championship game against the Buccaneers. The man who will have the call on Sunday, the man behind the highlights. We just played his voice of the Packers. Wayne Larvae. More of that, Wayne. I just have more highlights. Like what? All we just played some running the football and deep shot to Alan Lazard. I'm not picky Throat to MVS if you'd like. The Packers offense is certainly grooving going into the NFC championship game. Yeah, they're playing really well, Greg, especially during the seven game winning streak, You know, very high level and that defense they took apart last week. I mean, they made the Rams look bad, You know 480 some yards of offense against the number one defense. They're not playing as good. A defense overall. This week is they did last week, but this Tampa Bay team is very talented. How do you feel differently Going into NFC Championship game this year versus last I feel the Packers have a better than 50 50 chance of winning. I didn't think they had any chance last year, and I didn't think they had any chance when they got to Atlanta in 2016. You know, I think Super Bowl depth is something weighing that I've noticed, And it's not significant pickups. But it's adding Truman Williams. It's adding Jared Bell dear if he ends up factoring in its adding stacks, Harrison In others. It seems like you have to have Super Bowl death. You have to be able to account for guys who have gone down and the Packers. Maybe in no other area or aspect of the team have done. It is well. As the offensive line that this still to me is maybe the unsung story of the year with this team. Yeah, I would agree, Greg, with all the changes, they've had four different lines that they've had to roll out there. And exactly right. I think the scheme is help, but also, hey, these guys have played well, I mean, You look at Billy Turner and what he's been able to do. Hey, gets over to the hot corner and and you know, he faces the best. Now the Bachtiar ease down and you know, Turner was considered someone know if you've read pro football focus as I do. He was raided the weak spot of the Packers offensive line at right guard last year. Well this year he's a strength on this line because he's played so many different positions. I think the versatility of Elton Jenkins, the All Pro Guard, you know he could play center. He could play either side of the pivot position. He can play tackle. You know these guys, This is really been great. I think the pickup of Rick Wagoner was very good. He's a solid guy who knows how to play in this league, and there was a point in his career. He was the highest paid tackle in the right tackle in the game. So you you're you've got great versatility. I agree with you wholeheartedly. The offensive line has gone unsung this season, but they are the reason why the Packers are where they are. Wait. I know it was a number of weeks ago. It was early in the season. So much has changed since then. But I can't seem to shake the 38 to 10 feeling not that that's going to happen again this weekend, but there are certainly things that Tampa Bay can do. To make life difficult for the Packers. When you look at the matchup and for the NFC Championship game for the one back in week six. What's the biggest difference from the Packers from Week? 62 now? Well, I think Davante Adams said it best They're able to make mortgage in game adjustments. Now they're just further along in the season, they can adjust to things that may or may not happen in the game on the fly and You know, That's one of the one thing. The other factors this what jumped out at me and I watch one pack and watch the game twice the speed of Tampa Bay's linebacking corps and especially even watching last week's game in New Orleans. The speed of Devon White, those two inside linebackers literally destroyed Green Bay single handedly destroyed the Packers. That day. They were all over the field, you know, had like three sacks 18 tackles. It was just amazing. I think that speed When you go outdoors in a cold environment on a field that may be a little bit slick. You know that's going to impact them. They're not going to be. Maybe it's fast as they were that day in Tampa, but they know that 18 tackles 15. So those 2.5 sacks five tackles for loss for quarterback hits. I mean, come on, you know if they play that well Sunday, then God bless them. They're going to the Super Bowl, and they're going to play that Super Bowl game at home. And how many polo is searched? Should I put my suitcase here? Wayne More of a polo community Tampa or is it buttoned down? So I'm just Trying to pack ahead here and just get ready. Yeah, No, it's Jon Gruden used to live there. So you know, not a polo is probably to form Okay. You know, you might want to go with the Hawaiian shirts. That type of thing. Something loud. Okay, Can I borrow something from your closet? Yeah, sure. I've got plenty of loud, You know, you look, I'm not trying to be flip or anything. I just feel more confident about this team. Both teams are streaking. I get it and you could argue both teams are playing their best football of the year and that these are in fact, the best two teams left in the NFL. Brady will handle.

"But again, they put together the resume. Since that game has been undeniable, mean Aaron has been spectacular. The back the Packers offense unbelievably good. The offensive line even without David Bachtiar e best in league So I think And you know, they didn't make the adjustments that they have with the offensive line back in week six. I believe that kicked Rick Wagoner out the left tackle on that went poorly granted. At that point, they were already down 28 to 10. When? When Bachtiar he got hurt. I think they're equipped to make the adjustments. But that doesn't mean that they're just gonna make the adjustments and then Oh, now they're going to win 38 to 10. This is a talented Buccaneers team that you can't overlook earlier in the segment called Gave Wayne was all part of a stall technique. I was trying to find the answers and updated results of our poll question. Really all it was up on 6 20 wtmj on Twitter. Champions Countdown Pull number one. "About Rams and Packers. And that is the game that starts. That's the first one up for us. To get a better look at the Packers and their perspective on this game, big picture their pursuit of another Lombardi Trophy. We go to Milwaukee. Bart Winkler is one of the best sports talk show host in America. He does the morning show on the fan in Milwaukee. It's a very highly rated show. He's got a ton of followers. People like to hear him talk about Wisconsin sports. On. He's joining us right now on CBS Sports Radio. What are you named after? Bart Starr? I don't think I've ever asked you that question before. When I was like eight. I, You know, I'm about three years into being a Packer fan, because as soon as I remember I was a Packer fan because I grew up in the state, so I went to my parents and I said Like with big, like reindeer eyes. I said I'm named after Bart Starr, right? And they looked at me and I think they looked at each other, and they've also like Yeah. Yes, sure. So I say that I am, but I'm not. I'm not really sure of the real origin. But let's say yes. Okay. For our listeners that aren't listening in Milwaukee, Green Bay, Madison. Those places and there are you know, around the around the country around the world, frankly, Your dynamic. I think before we get into the game in the Packers chances, I think your situation is interesting to me because That the team you probably Talk about the most. Isn't in your town, so I I don't know. I don't think I've ever asked a sports talk show host or or a big guy in Milwaukee. This question before like it's two hours away, but Everybody in Milwaukee acts like the Packers play in downtown Milwaukee, right? Yeah, but they used to sew the Packers. Played the last the on Lee time they ever played. The Packers or the Rams in the playoffs at home I used quote was in the sixties in Milwaukee they used to play County stadium from like the sixties to about 1994, Okay, and they stopped doing that. So they only play six games at Lambeau, and they stopped doing that It was to keep them financially viable. Eventually, they didn't need it Truck down here anymore. But I think that's a part of it. But it is also like it's just the way that Wisconsin is, it is. It's a weird set up. You have the NFL and all these big cities and then you've got You know the area sat of Lambeau in a neighborhood and there's 100,000 people in the whole municipality. So it is weird. Um, the brewers carry statewide from Milwaukee. I think the bucks are uniquely They're doing better, but they've been a uniquely Milwaukee team. But the Packers is more like it's just It's just a way of life around you. I mean, it's It's insane, but yeah, It is that they're two hours away. Chicago is 90 minutes away closer, but there is a sense of the factors. Are we clear from the fan in Milwaukee with us here on CBS Sports Radio. Where would this loss rank? If the Rams go in there and shock the world and win today bar where, with loss rank on the all time list of Packers playoff losses in the Aaron Rodgers era. I think it would be similar to what happened to them. The 31st season when they went 15 and one had the number one seed had to buy and we're set up for an NFC championship game at home, which Aaron Rodgers has never started in one. He's been in three NFC Championship games last six years. And he was in one in 2010, but they've all been on the road. This one is at home now, so it would rank because that was a team that was very good, very Explosive offensively that under 15 and one year 2011, but in the Giants came in and beat him and then went to the Super Bowl, and they were seen that kind of resembles these rand's, You know, good running game. Quarterback Eli Manning, Jared Goff, but a really good defense. I think that it would rank right there. It would be. It would be bad. I mean, this is this is a team that's very good. This Packer team is is gonna be an interesting game next week against Noorlander. Tampa if the Packers get past the Rams, but You know everything I look at this game. The Rams are a team that I think do match up well with the Packers, but They're all broken down and hurt. No Cooper up today. Eric Donald's dealing with his ribs here got hurt in Chamakh. They don't even know if he would have started him if John Woolford was available. Imagine having that conversation two months ago. The Packers are a better team than they were a year ago and the Rams I think our shell of what they were just two months ago, so it would rank very, very high because Under these playoff losses that the Packers have had they kind of run out of steam or they're dealing with injuries. They're not that team That's the Rams. At this point, it would. It would be devastating. I think a lot of us around here me included. Are already looking ahead to next weekend. As long as the Packers don't do that, though. That's what matters. Bar offensive line player gets glorified You win in the trenches. It all starts up front. All those football cliches. For the Packers. It's a reality today, though, because it's Aaron Donald in the middle and Bachtiar ease out so Couple of questions. Come off of that. How do they make sure that Aaron Donald doesn't destroy their offensive game plan? And what the hell are they doing? It left tackle today. We've got a good offensive line. They've got guys that can play that position. I believe Billy Turner will be out there today. He's kind of like the 5th 6th offensive lineman. Throughout the season. Rick Wagoner..

"Papa and Lund and Tim Ryan's Bull Rush. Oh, my goodness. You talk about a tidal wave brush. Just put the 15 ft. Swell all over Mrs K nd are 104568, the sports leader second Here it is. They go. The Niners beat the Packers and NFC championship game 37 to 20. Nobody touched the ball on offense is going to be playing today. That's a crazy stat to think about so 285 yards against the backers in the NFC Championship game. How does a with all those pieces missing? How do they win? Tonight? Did well, you have a catch in that game. He did not. Ah, dammit! Harvey. I double checked that too, Because I saw this. Somebody saying Wait a minute. Was there a fumble that somebody recovered? Did McGlinchey jump on the rock? Someone fumble? Buckner. He's not here either. Recovered the Bulls Mostert calming grapple Samuel born Brita Kittel and even Ben Garland. The center which now ski I got Wish now Skip 1000 Geraldo. There's no question yes. Derek. I knew you'd find somebody. He dropped it from his saying to his foot, But he did touch the ball. Correct. Corrupt for all the point After is by Robbie goals, so he touched the ball to correct. So what was your quite I'm sorry, Johnny. Real simple without everybody missing. How do they win tonight? But obviously everybody's count amounts. How do they win? They got they got to get after that the line of scrimmage the identity of this football team. I mean, it's I know people don't want to hear it. That's a redundant answer, but it's the way it is. Especially when you talk about You know the flow of this game and complementary football and that's that's what this team is, and it's going to be even magnified more now. You cannot make mistakes. You better play clean in terms of the penalties and the ball security. Most importantly, Hope to get a couple on defense, which is going to be a challenge, because you know Aaron Rodgers does not turn it over. And they got three turnover. That's number one in the NFL, but I think when you put this team on tape, I think you can see that there are opportunities. If you control those things, and if you control the line of scrimmage, so hasty, tasty has got to go off. I think that you look at this run defense and they can be had the power game the league game blocking down on Dean Lowry in terms of their defense of ends, and and you know, Kingsley, Kiki, and anytime Adam's is out there, and they rotate those guys quite a bit in Lancaster, you, Khun! Get after him now, And I know Blake Martinez is gone, and he's in New York and The guy was a tackling machine, and I got a lot of respect for him by the way, but, you know, you talk to Packer fans, and they all say, Well, you got a million tackles. They were all down the field and well, they could use him now because there's gonna be a Inside linebacker and Chris Barnes, who's out there all the time. A rookie college free agent out of you. That's going to get a lot of plays run right in his grill in this game tonight, so I think they've got to be able to run it and then again, getting the third in shorts and let Mullins do its thing and protect him enough. There will be holes in the defense. As I said, they're very aggressive, and I know that they will question the armed strike the neck Mullins and try to jump those out routes. Anything outside the numbers, so if they can protect and you throw a couple double moves Nix Nix pretty damn good, And he's very capable of reading out the defense and throwing, throwing for big yards if you protect him, and then defensively, I'm gonna put it on the defense of tackles, man. I mean, You know you look at and when Armstead's inside that that is a match up, they've got their own and I don't know how the line up's going to be for the Packers today, Pop. What are you hearing on box? Tr ee Ah, I don't think he's playing. I just heard Wayne Larrabee. The voice of the Packers on was Andrew Siciliano on China first look, and he doesn't think he's gonna play. We're going to line up Billy Turner left tackle Rick Wagoner. That right tackles the way they'll go with their middle three. They usually have Jenkins, Lindsley and Patrick. Right. So, yeah, I think you can get after both of those guys on the edge and arms Dad, I think can overwhelm on the early downs in the play action stuff. Rick Rick Wagoner. In terms of just working counter moves back to the inside on him now, obviously. You got to do it quick, and you can't do it late and then Aaron Rodgers escapes and it's ah, six or seven seconds Scramble job. But when I put on the tape, and I think about this defense, and it all starts right in the middle in terms of the run defense Gut pressure on the quarterback, and there's a There's a lot of pressure in my opinion for Jovan Kinlaw to step up and and I know it's gonna be hard. It seems like when you watch the tape of times that he's hit, the wall and defensive linemen are on the ground and defensive linemen are getting doubled in You know, combo blocked on the backside into the linebackers and given up those those gaps of responsibility, So to me, it all starts with them. And if you could just extinguish any hope of a run game, what do you hear it on? Aaron Jones would learn of you say about that. He's saying that he's not playing. I thought he would. In light of, you know the covert outbreak with a J. Dylan and they're not gonna have Jamal Williams. So they're two running backs it so it sounds like Aaron Jones is not gonna play. They could bring other people up. They have Dexter Williams on the practice, but I think he'll come up. But if Aaron Jones can't go, then there to back, you gonna be child or urban se, No se state guy, and he's more of a jet sweeper, and he's been more receiver than running back. You watch and they run a lot of that 21 rocket where he's like the third wide receiver, totally So I know you were talking about Davante Adams before in the 40 Niners. Let's play their stuff. And I understand last week with decay because you couldn't really, you know, just all of a sudden tilt the field his way because you got Tyler Lockett to deal with in all their tight ends, and they got good tight ends here, John A good player and you mention Sternberg or scoring against the 40 Niners last year in the NFC title game, but clearly as far as the wide receiving corps The other guys are just guys right now. Davante Adams is truly special, and it's just beyond me. He's not that fast of a guy Tim. But man hey, gets on or off the lease a lot like Keenan Allen. I think the Chargers, so do you think maybe not start that way, but at some point Begin to top the coverage a little bit towards 17 0. I think you have to. I think he out of mix and match but you've got to protect yourself by tilting the coverage over there, and he's like a manual transmission. That guy in terms of how he's able to shift gears and downshift and really control the speed to time it up. In terms of the route with with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. But you know the thing about him is they just move him around so damn much. I mean, I can see when he's three by one in and you tell to safety over that way. There's a lot of ways to get some double on him. You can buzz your your weak side linebacker under out to that acts, they call it cut acts, so you take away the underneath stuff with him. And then you gotta you gotta corner playing deep. I think it's press bail..

"In the to not do that in the second overall pick. I don't know. All right, let's go. Let's get in the Packers and the 40 Niners obviously live here tonight from Levi Stadium. Tom Silverstein uncovered the backers for a long time for The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel joins us courtesy Of the murder of my guest line. Tom. What I'd really like to talk about is not this game. But there's a kind of peace up, talked about nine major clashes between the Packers and the 40 Niners, and I think that might be more fun to talk about. Probably better than the game keeper. I know and I wish we could that we should do more of that. Obviously, Covert is the is the word of all the time but especially tonight with the 40 Niners and tell us what's going on with the Packers. Well, they've had one positive case and two guys who have been deemed close contact. It is so One is the rookie running back a. J. Dylan. The other is backup running back to maul. Williams and Thea. Other is inside linebacker. Come on, Martin, So it's three guys. You know, pretty pretty regular performers. Jamal Williams is the one that probably hurts the most. Because I don't think Aaron Jones is gonna play. He's got a cast injuries missed the last two games and kind of he's questionable. I have a gut feeling that they're gonna hold him out. So they're really they're down to second year running back who's on the practice squad and then a guy who sort of their gadgets. Receiver was gonna tell you a little bit of running back to that Tyler and the other guy's Dexter Williams. Yeah, we know Tyler. Well from San Jose State, A ce faras. Aaron Jones goes, You know it's a short week, but he hasn't played in a couple of games I would I recall was a couple of weeks ago. He was kind of close to coming back to playing. Did he have a setback and practice our Because now would be the time you know, Minus a J. Gelatin Jamal Williams or you want Erin Jones to be able to play. But if you can't play, he can play. But was he close? A few weeks ago? Did he have a setback? White? Why is he still on the Ah? On the doubtful side. Well, I think They've been really, um, tried to be really cautious with him because he is the key to their offense, and I think they kind of feel like it's a calf injury. And those are things that You know, control from not to bad to worse in a hurry, so I think they've been really cautious about putting him back now. They didn't really have a chance to practice this week. Their facility was closed on Monday, and they had walked rooms the last two days, so I'm not sure if they've got not Really reading where he is and how far he can go. But I thought they were hyperactive were aiming for this game for him. But just Uh, feedback and the sense I get from floors that you know, they're really thinking about holding them out. Thomas Silverstein covers the Packers and he's joining this courtesy. The human guests I'm here on these four cedars, we get you ready for the 40. Niners and the Packers on Thursday night Football. Aaron Rodgers. Maybe outside of that bucks game where they're lying, Just gonna overwhelm them. His plane, maybe. Well, one of the best seasons of his career. What what's been the key so far for him? Having a lot of game. I think that's been so so important for him. Everything they do is similar to the 40 Niners. They love play action and you gotta have a run game in orderto, Um, execute play action, and Aaron Rodgers is best when he's got options when he can play. It's not forced to throw the ball when it's more about at the choice. And so when he can when he can, um Go up to the line of scrimmage and have a legitimate chance to run the ball. You know, knowing that he could get a first down or or he could spread the ball around to his back. Um He's a better player, but you take that running game away from him, and he's not nearly as good. Yeah, With all the injuries and the running back room going onto Tyler, Ervin and Dexter Williams will she have a kind of running game They will have, but you know, when you go back to last year and the two games the 40 Niners beat them in week. 12 on Sunday night, obviously time in the NFC championship game, the story of the game. Was the inability of Bachtiar Ian Bulaga. They had They had some injuries and tackle But you know, Nick Bosa just wrecked the game. There's just no other way around it In the past, Russia's just so Ah, you know, prominent could see it in Aaron's eyes that they couldn't get it block Now. The 40 Niners don't have those guys. They don't have Nick and they don't have D and they don't have Solomon Thomas and a few others. So what? My question is, is David back D R E Gotta play tonight. He's missed two in a row with a chest and I think that creates some dominoes where Billy Turner goes over the left tackle Rick Wagoner starts at right tackle. They're not nearly as good. Is when they have the all pro Bachtiar e. So is he gonna fly tonight? Yeah, my senses he is, You know, they didn't. Actually I've been shocked that Billy Turner has been as good as he has left tackle. He's you know, they tried to play him a guard last year, and it was a little bit of a Not. It proved to not be his best spot. So then they moved him to right tackle and then he's had to play left tackle. But they are a better team. When Turner's at right tackle on Bachtiar is that left tackle? And you know the game against Tampa. They just they just were overrun. They just I haven't seen a defense like that this year, and I think they were. I don't know if they were just caught by surprise or what, but the speed of that defense really affected him so We are the 40 Niners have done such a good job of pressuring Rogers. I mean, like you said, And they've just the front floor has been the difference. You know that in the two inside linebackers, you know a Warden Warner and And Green law has just been Dominant against them, So I think I think they're still going to be some issues with protection tonight, and that's that's something to watch. I don't Packers are goingto Be able to just run all over the 40 Niners. You know, Tom, speaking of Ah, running all over, Obviously last year in the NFC championship game, 285 yards on 42 carries six a two shot. The Packers given up about 47, and then, as Faras told the yard's about the middle of the pack as Faras the run defense. Obviously, the 40 Niners are not gonna have most of their anybody who touched the ball in that game. But how's the Packers? Run defense? Hold up to you? Moz. Funny..

"One call that's all sports death. Here's Greg Matic. Well this season is over. For Packers rookie Ted and Josiah Guara drafted in the third round of the recently completed draft. Guara suffered an ankle injury back in week one of the regular season against Minnesota. Last night after his return to the field, you suffered a tornado CEO, according to ESPN head coach Matt Leflore, confirming the injury is significant to Dora, who is expected to miss the remainder of the season. Packers entered the bye week with a perfect record for no Green Bay and Seattle. The only unbeaten teams in the NFC Up next gonna wait a little while for it. But a road contest against Tom Brady and the buccaneer know that we got to hit the reset button because we know you got a really, really tough opponent after the bye. Tampa Bay bucks for one of the teams, you know, in the preseason that everybody's picking us is a team that could potentially You know, be there at the end, and I think they got a lot of great players and we had our work cut out in front of us. Speaking of the Buccaneers, they will kick off week five Thursday night against the three and one Chicago Bears game for the MBA finals will take place tonight in Orlando. With the Lakers owning a 21. Siri's lied well. Jimmy Butler follow up a 40 point triple double in Game three sold on winning. Are doing every asked me to do if you can guarantee me a win. And I realize and nothing's guaranteed, but Do whatever you're asking to do to put my team in the best position away. All Star forward Damn at a bio upgraded to questionable for tonight's game due to an injury and it's gone final here. You've got the Braves defeating the Marlins 95 in Game one of the NLDS 95, the final, Houston and Oakland underway. And it's currently middle of the fourth inning with the Astros leading 31 in Game two of the L D. S. You know, Greg when the Packers schedule came out, and they had to buy after only four weeks, I think a lot of people were saying man that's awfully early cannot be closer to the mid season. It comes at a pretty good time for the Packers, doesn't it? Yeah, it does always seems to write of injuries to Kenny Clarke and Sean Gary missed last night's game. Kevin King got dinged up during last night's game. There were others who were already playing without Christian Kirksey and Alan Lazard for quite some time, Davante Adams as well. It never seems like the injury report his blank during the course of an NFL season. Some weeks are just a little worse than others. I think what's been amazing John is that the Packers offense especially has not skipped a beat. There's been a lot of shuffling on the offensive line. Rick Wagoner lined up is a tight end. For goodness sake. Last week or last night, I should say against Atlanta. Matt LaFleur's ability to mix and match his parts and find the weakness in the opposing team's defense has been on full display. Yeah. Good stuff, Greg. It is for 48 at W. T. M. J. Phone lines are open. Governor Evers Order. We've been discussing this this afternoon. I want you to weigh in. "Companies. I talkto one Ah, a couple weeks ago, So there's more Chinese companies say they're coming. One of the little eventually make it Not necessarily, but it's good for Brandon neighbors. Who's your new guy? New big dog up in Plano Morning it and Alan Ray, who's like I knew Alan before he was in the car business when he's telling dealers how to do it. And he got so tired of telling them how to do it. He just said do themselves. All right. It is not to stay home. You know, my wife says, Why don't you do more consulting with dealers? And I said I would feel bad about taking their money because I'm not going to listen. You have a job forever If you're in consulting Yeah. Remember, I go all the way back to Ernie Pritchard right in control. We had the log, everybody and everybody had to wait for somebody else to catch customer before you. Could Nobody ever be on the show room when they were supposed to. And if we started listening, we wouldn't need a consultant. Yes. Well, you would have to know Ernie because Ernie used to this speech with this ping pong ball right and just impervious. So on and so forth, violent after you work three or four dealerships. And you see Ernie make the pitch over and over again. All of which were fine, but it had nothing to do with really being great at selling cars. I asked him to put the Ping pong ball on the floor and stand on it to prove to us that it would not shatter. And he stormed out of the room. I never had to sit through another Ernie Pritchard meet Well done. So I saw this this week. Even I did not know this and you would think I would be on more on top of things, but it was all a Cadillac CT six. Super crews function now, hands down. The best self driving software of any car period at the moment. Most capable level two I've ever seen. What nobody knew until it came out this week is you only get it for free for three years after you buy the car and its $7000 isn't it? I think it's about five. Okay? Yeah, but they're going to put in more cars. But after that, if you don't subscribed on star doesn't have all of its function, as they say, Well, the automatic braking in the lane keeping keeps working. Imagine that. Yeah, but the 180,000 miles of pre mapped roads across America. Yeah, thanks, but nothing. I'll be a little difficult with all the changing there you go, but I look at the GM marketplace has come out. And in fact GM marketplace you can stop on the way to work, Push and get a Starbucks ordered as if you're going to get out of waiting in line at seven in the morning or set a reservation, Whatever. And for every time you do that GM technically gets a cut of the action. Right? Yes. Alan, You bought your wife, a BMW. And you have apple carplay, innit? That's correct. And how much are they charging you for that connection? You know, I don't know for sure, because right now it's still part of the package. But I know that at some point think about six months it start paying, and I'm not sure, but it's not a great deal percent. But, hey, it's gonna be too much. Whatever it is to be quite frank with you. I just wanted the audience to hear people in the car business actually will bitch about people in the car business. But that point B made BMW's thing is apple changes. They're operating systems all the time. So We have to continuously update that system. Hence the reason there's this charge on it. Well, this is interesting now, amid two missions with that car play, and it's always free. It's always free. Only because they haven't figured out how to monetize. It was just a point of what we're discussing. I've been to GM. I've been to the OnStar center that's breath taking in its scope. But Rick Wagoner told me the reason GM loves on star so much is after the revenue. It's a 25% net company. Very lucrative, almost better than almost more lucrative than selling actual vehicle in infinitely more, Because if you think about whatever on sari is 20 bucks a month, I don't know. I've never had it. Never turned it on in the JAG. Their version of it. But if it's 25% net And your 240. That's $60 a make on that car during the course of a year, right? Mitsubishi system, which the Mitsubishi connect after the 1st 2 years of free $9200 a year. That what it is? I believe you're correct things like 1 90 90 year so, Yeah, so they have learned to monetize it. They have monetize er, but here's my point. If they make 60 bucks a year on the car after you buy it. In the course of a 10 year period. Assuming you keep the service in place at 600 bucks now start extrapolating that over the 270 million cars, trucks and SUVs on the roads in America. It's a breathtaking number. That's a lot of money. It's huge. I mean, like you said, It's very lucrative asses. That's a huge number. And it is great. Now, remember, that's just for service like on star. The car companies were saying, Look, we build these cars, a cash intensive. We've got hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars tied up and we made began a car that nobody wants to buy..

You know, it's probably great, but I don't know. I think you could get a Honda super cub. The updated retro super cub for $1000 more. And you don't ever have to peddle that thing. Cause even if it runs. I guess you'll have to walk it, but you won't have to peddle it. With that. Let's go to market. Arlington. Thanks for joining us. Good morning. Hey, Ed. Earlier. You must mention of a company called post mates. Yes, I had a which almost sounds like it Almost sounds like a divorce story, doesn't it? Well posted only knows post makes it would be right. Anyway out of fraudulent charge on my credit card from those people. On headed, disputed, went to the bank and shut it down. I got a new partner through that That's is in dispute right now, but who the hell are those people? Well, they're part of uber now. Oh, really? Yeah. Uber's gonna buy them in a in a stock swap to be fair, but it's ah, billions of dollars because uber wanted Bhai. Another delivery service door dash. I think And that deal, and they said they offered him like $6 billion. And here's another company that loses money right House any company that loses money worth $6 billion. Well, can they lose money? If they're stealing it from people? Well, you may have had the unique case. Of having someone that had your number and did it. I mean, I've never used the company, right? That's me. You know, I don't even know who they are. Okay, So I've got this buddy named Al Priest Al used to be a sound man. He started off doing sound for Steve Miller in the seventies. He was with Dwight Yoakum and back owns in the eighties, and he finally got into the studio gear. Right, Right, And I met Al during the period he was working for Dwight Yoakum because Dwight's extra armor was a friend of mine. And so every time I would call and order studio gear from al J. P. Morgan Chase would call me and say, We've got this charge. We're not sure it's legitimate his company with Studio Tech and I said, Have you not looked at how many things I bought from him? But they would always treat him like a fraud case. So literally a few months after one of the phone calls, there's 1500 on my credit card from the same place in Australia 500 bucks apiece. Literally 30 minutes apart. Do you think you think? J. P. Morgan Chase? Called May about fraud potential fraud on that one. Oh, I wouldn't think so. That's why don't those people because I have issues with him just like this little butt again. There's a place that you can check to see if one of your accounts has been compromised. In fact I was using when I was updating the Web site this morning. I get a little flash from Google Chrome that, in fact, the financial post of Canada Which I subscribed to had been hacked and they had my information, and it would be a good idea to change password there. Right. All right. If you get there if they've already got your credit card in the information, what good is changing your password now? Oil is but if you'll send me an email, I will send you the link. To the Internet site where you can put in your email addresses and all that. And it will tell you if your stuff has been stolen Axum place and people have your dad online. Okay as inside automotive dot com Right and email me through inside automotive dot com. I'll send you the link you put in your e mail address, and I'll say okay. Your information is either out there on the dark Web or it's not. Cool. There you go. Thank you so much. Have a good weekend. Mark. You too, take care. 8887 and again if he had a fraud charge from that company, it may not have been that company that did it. It may be somebody inside the company was stealing it to knows. 888787 5543 I know Lance is not as good as entering the phone is Karen, but I told him to talk in a falsetto make feel right at home. 8887875543 So General Motors has got to shake up again and bury angle is leaving the company. After just 15 months because he said he wants to go ahead and become a CEO elsewhere again. He was with Ford of candidate in 2008. He's led three different companies of CEO here. One suppliers, agile T fuel systems and evey startup. Think from 2011 that one that Norwegian I think it wass. Yeah. Ah, and he used to be part of forward. New Holland Agriculture equipment 8 4010 He pretty much is either the most brilliant down the world or you can't keep a job, however. GM hired him in 2015. In the late nineties, he was a Chrysler Plymouth dealer. Don't hold that against him because in the nineties, Chrysler was kind of hot. That mean sand. Car dealers liked him. They said. He's always trying to come up with a solution. He's approachable. You text me text you back. You call him. He calls you back. He's a very good listener and helping us deal with our problems. Which car dealers by the way, kind of like The executive shakeup is going to put Steve Carlisle in charge of this new position of GM North America. Steve Carlisle comes to us courtesy of He's the guy to replace Yeo hand donation at Cadillac. He's been running Cadillac recently. He came out. He's a GM lifers, they say came out. He's a guy that rebuilt GM Canada. I did not know it had been rebuilt. I should have called the dealer before I did the story to see if that's fact. And so Mary Barra came out and said Steve is going to help a scale the considerable transformation progress we've been making, while the same time preserving the sufficient autonomy necessary to maintain four distinct vehicle brands. Now. I had not been hard on GM for awhile. But back in the nineties, GM hired somebody like Ron Zarella to do this. They said. We don't want GM lifers. We want people to think outside the box, so he was running Bausch and Lomb. Right after GM hired him, Bosh and loan got sued by the federal government because they used to sell different quality contact lenses. And you paid more and more money as you went up the line for Bausch and Lomb quality. The problem, Wass They were the same contact lenses. It was fraud of the degree. You kind of wonder if he didn't go to GM because that was about to come down on him because it did. But then again at the time, a GM you said, Well, he's pretty used to sell the same car a different prices right because he did the same thing with contact lenses. But GM in the nineties was not the GM. It is today. Not even close. But I have we went to the period where Rick Wagner came in. Rick Wagner did not cause all the problems of GM. He inherited them, including that $90 billion worth of debt. Rick was a smart, good guy. Some of the dealer said, You know, he made $1,000,000,000 mistakes. Add. Yeah. The General Motors of $1,000,000,000 mistake is like me making $1000 mistake. It happens. But Rick Wagoner, kind of put Fritz Henderson and positions and France was Fritz was very smart. A restructuring and Rick got Bob. Let's back in the car business. And his GM went bankrupt and came out of it. David Welch, My buddy of business week said it best GM is what it is today because of the re renaissance of their vehicle lineup with Bob Lutz and the restructuring of the company. Under for its Anderson. And both of those people got run off..
