She always with me Final Tuesday of every month talking some sports talking some insurance educating you cause a lot of us out there. And I remember you know when I was single again and had my daughter and you know Most of my my knights were hanging out watching sports with my buds, having a couple cold ones and not really worried about any type of insurance outside of my car insurance, And that's basically all I worried about. Now, I've got several life insurance policies until a swell as you know, the homeowner's insurance and the renter's insurance as well. And like Robson. The renter's insurance also covers Us far as your storage unit and I've got that. So you know, that's really important to understand all the different things and how inexpensive that particular insurance is, Rob One other insurance do you feel? I mean, I I know you feel they're all they're all important, but you know what other one have. We not talked about that you feel it's imperative for people to check it out. Make sure they have it. Whether it's homeowners or what. Well, you know, in the times we're facing right now with the cove. It Restrictions. I'm a small business owner. And my heart goes out to all small business owners because it's been tough. You know your your business for lack of better words is down less people, whether it's a restaurant, whether it's a bar or anything. So my advice to those small business owners is two reviews your commercial policy. What I mean by that is not necessarily is much easier. General liability. What Times have changed, and many businesses can have 50% or less of their staff on duty. But yet their pain their workers comp. Insurance as if they're fully staff. They they're like, Why didn't Calling. My insurance agency and worker's comp insurance is based on payroll, dollars and number of employees and again I can appreciate understand if if your payroll dollars or less And you have less employees currently. Hey, they may be coming back, and we all hope they come back. But you have all less. Call your insurance company and say I need to adjust. By the payroll dollars and my number of employees, and it may not sound like a lot. But that might reduce your insurance by 3 to $600. And right now, that's important. S so again. I'm a small business owner. So I'm a fan of small business owners out there. And trust me. Call me It doesn't matter if you have your policy with me. Granite. I'm going to do a quota in your business once you call me, But call me asked me and I can tell you I could walk you through your policy and say this is way too much, and some people might say. Wow. I haven't refused my policy since 2016. You know, times were great Flying Baba block. Well, guess what times have changed and you've got to look at all that stuff. There you go. Give Robert called 335 57 44 702, Of course. 3355744 robbery. She's former insurance real quick. We got College hoops starting up tomorrow. Rob's gonna be all day We're gonna have games going on, including Villanova, Boston College. That game will go off it. I want to say around 6 30 our time in in Vegas tomorrow, But you and Avi gets under way tomorrow as well against Montana State. And so best of luck, of course to Coach also Burger and the running rebels. Hopefully, they get off to a great start. They'll take on a pretty good bobcat team over Thomas and Mack and again, it's tough with no fans in the stands just depending on how these These things. They're gonna pan out, and I'm sure the more safe that we can get the more people are gonna be allowed in arenas. But right now, it's just great to know that the student athletes are going to be able to go at it. And hopefully the schools they're gonna be able to pull this stuff office safely as possible, And we're gonna be able to have some type of college basketball season. The way that we've had some of the other sports role. I know there've been hiccups and different things that have gone down, whether it be baseball season or even the NFL and college football lot of games getting canceled, But we're doing the best we can. Right now. We're trial and error, and I think the NFL is doing a remarkable job to not really have But a couple games canceled and or and or postpone moved to other dates. So got to give the NFL lot of credit and the players also in the coaches that are all Dedicating. They're times to making sure that they're following everything to the letter, the best they can so that we do have that type of entertainment because it is tough times for all of us out there with covert and for Ah, lot of the bar and restaurant owners like my buddy Roger Sachs was Steiner's pumped. I mean, The 50% capacity, then down to 25% and look, these guys, it's hard for them to even afford to pay their workers. The workers are making much money that way. And so it's tough, But you've got to follow the laws inside each and every state, So just keep everybody in your prayers. We gotta work together the best we can tow. Navigate through this cove ID protocol that were going through and it changes on a daily basis on an hourly basis sometimes so, just robbed. You're a man of faith like I am, and we just got a prayer way through this stuff. Yeah, And I think the challenge with college basketball Is the fact that you know they play 123 games a week, and the beauty of the NFL are even college football is you got one game a week to manage that and act accordingly. So I would certainly pray that this would disappear and dissipate and again let the student athletes who have trained who have had ambitions of doing well. Hopefully, they can play. But it will be a challenge because you've got 2 to 3 games a week and you mix in travel. Um it's gonna be a challenge. Yeah, There's no doubt they've already altered a lot of those schedules, talking to coach Rick Roy from Cal Baptist just in the whack alone. They've set it up now that you're going to go to one of your league foes, and you're going to play two games at that particular venue against the same team, so instead of a home and home and they're going to cut down on the travel And they're going to cut down on the different then use that you're gonna be playing at in order to mitigate this stuff, the best they can and try and Decrease the odds that you're going to come away covert positive. And of course, we know that that seems air right there around the corner. And from what I'm hearing prognostication is that on Lee about 12 million Will have been tested by the time the year is over. And so that's you know, that's a handful when you have 320 million people in this country, But you know what? At least we're we're moving towards A cure. And and that's important to make sure that we can get back to some type of normalcy. But, uh, on this Thanksgiving, Rob, that's another thing, you know. A lot of people getting together with their families, and you know, a lot of people are not. There's ah lot of people that just cannot risk it and don't want to. Deal with it. There's some families that you know, are going to be together in smaller numbers, but you know, we'll we'll hope that maybe next Thanksgiving we can have stuff to where we can have those bigger family get togethers, but for right now, It's tough on a lot of people, and so my prayers were really out there for a lot of people that are going to be by themselves that there are spending these holiday times alone, so I think it's really important for us..

"To the good news ride home for Thursday. June eighteenth two thousand twenty and I'm Jackson Bird. The head of June, teens a bit of background on its origins and the flight to make a federal holiday. The inventor of the SEGUE has a plan to mass produce human organs. The Productivity Life Hack, let's complain as much as you want. And the Rick Roy to end all rick roles that happened just yesterday. Here is your daily dose of Good News. Tomorrow is June eighteenth, which celebrates the day two and a half years after the emancipation proclamation was signed that enslaved people in Texas were finally informed of their freedom, while in some ways in enraging origin story, it's been celebrated as a day of Independence Freedom Joy and resistance by black Americans since the eighteen hundreds despite that many non black people are barely aware of its existence. That's changed this year. However, in large part in response to the wave of protests over the past few weeks, many major companies across the US have declared June teens. A corporate holiday companies like Nike Google J.. P. Morgan Chase General Motors twitter, Uber Lift and countless others are either giving employees the day off closing early or holding moments of silence. June eighteenth has also been declared a paid holiday for state employees in new. York and Virginia and I specified that the change this year by new. York in Virginia is making it a paid holiday for government employees, because in fact all but three US states already. Already have some form of observance for June eighteenth, except for North Dakota Self, Dakota and Hawaii all us. States recognize it officially in some way usually as a day when government offices operate on reduced, staff and employees can choose to take the day off as a floating holiday, but aren't flat out given the day off. It's kind of like a state level version of the difference between flag. Day and Memorial Day Texas was the first State to recognize June eighteenth as a state holiday back in nineteen, eighty and many more states followed throughout the nineties and early two thousands, and it's appropriate that Texas would. would be the first to celebrate what they officially call emancipation day since Texas is where it all began quoting time on June, nineteenth, eighteen, sixty, five, two, and a half after Abraham Lincoln signed the emancipation proclamation in two months after confederate General Robert. E Lee surrendered at Matic's the Union army's major. General Gordon granger reached Galveston Texas there he read Aloud General Orders Number three quotes. The people of Texas are informed that in accordance with a proclamation from the executive of the United States. All slaves are free and quotes. There are a number of theories as to why the news took two full years to. To reach Galveston quoting again, according to receive a Harrison a professor of social relations and policy at James Madison College at Michigan State University the most popular theories involve the idea that there weren't enough union generals who could get over there. White slave owners wanted to maintain hold on enslaved people by not alerting them and slaveholders wanted to get one more crop out of enslaved folks, some stories about why it took so long for news to hit are the stuff of legend such as one that says. Lincoln sent a soldier on a mule to ride to Texas spreading the news along the way and quotes. Greg Car Chair of the Department of Afro American Studies at Howard, university points out however that scenes similar to that in Galveston happened across the south. As Union soldiers traveled to deliver the news and similar, subsequent celebrations happened on various days in various places..

"I WANNA ask you about Rick Roy. He's the head of the Federal Agency in charge of getting vaccine out to two Americans. Once it's ready. He says he has been pushed out of his job. Because he raised questions about drops chloroquine some directives. On that was he pushed out of that. You just mentioned the name I never heard of. This is happening to that guy. Says he was pushed out of a job. Maybe was maybe wasn't you'd have to hear the other side. I don't know who he is. Well he is one of the many professionals trying to do their jobs. Which in this case is trying to save lives which is also what. Cdc official. Nancy a messenger was doing when she warned in late February. The community spread of Corona virus. Was likely tonight. The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the president was so angry. He called the Secretary of Health and Human Services and threaten to fire her for telling the truth. Prison calls himself a wartime president and truth. It seems is the first last inconstant casualty in this war more now from CNN. Chief White House correspondent Jim Acosta. So we're learning about rick. Bright and and the clash That that's happening here. He sounds like he's a casualty Anderson of the president's war on scientists were on science in the administration. Dr Bright is going to file a whistle blower complaint. He is a protesting his removal from his position Leading that agency that is charged with vaccine development. He was working on a vaccine for the corona virus. When he was abruptly pulled out his position he had been clashing with top officials at health and human services but it was basically over the points that he raises in this lengthy statement that was released to reporters earlier today essentially saying that he protested inside. Hhs This tendency on the part of the president other administration officials to show preference for treatments like hydroxy clerk when the science is just not even settled on that. And there are studies showing. It doesn't work and when this doctor Dr Bright raise questions about it. He is saying he was ousted from his position and talking to a source familiar with the situation. This evening Anderson We are told that he hasn't even been told what is what he's going to be doing over at the National Institutes of health and so it sounds like he's been pushed out of this job into another job and he doesn't even know what that jobs. GonNa be at. What is his stab at this point? He is saying he is. He is going to be fighting for his job. According to this source we spoke with earlier this evening. He's going to be fighting for this job. He wants to be reinstated back in his position over at that agency. But you heard the president. There are a few moments ago essentially pouring cold water on that idea saying well. Maybe he was pushed out. Maybe he wasn't Anderson. From all appearances he was absolutely pushed out. And that is what Dr Bright is saying and it sounds as though he's GonNa have this chance to make his case I I will point out though. Dr Anthony Fauci who appeared at the briefing this evening. seemed to say the doctor bright is going to be welcomed over at NIH and be given some important responsibilities of but it's not clear whether or not Dr Bright has been informed of that yet To mccaw system stay with US. WanNa bring in our chief. Medical correspondent Dr Sanjay Gupta. Cnn's chief political analyst. Gloria borger Sunday Sunday. The president stressed Corona virus. May NOT COME BACK. In the fall and said there may be quoted embers. Have you seen any evidence that what we're going to be dealing with the father? Just Coronas virus embers no the viruses the virus the viruses the probably the one constant in this whole equation We have to continue to be able to react to this virus. Which you know may continue to be these physical distancing measures and probably really spearheaded as we've talked about so many times by testing finding people who are infected isolating them finding their context all that but the but the viruses is not going away. I mean it's it's here. It's a contagious virus. It's can be lethal. In certain cases we know ultimately a vaccine may inoculated against the virus. Which would be great in a real significant development. But this is this is part of our our human environment now this virus. So it's it's it's not going away. How we how we react to it is what may change glory. This is the second time it doctors clarified. Their remarks at the podium have been brought up to clarify even though what did Dr Redfield was clarifying. He was exactly what he had said. So last week Dr g after he told Jake Tapper that mitigation could save lives. Tonight was Dr Redfield wondering what.

"Shocking. That women can experience beneficial hormonal changes from it. I don't find that shocking. So I don't think it's a blanket statement by think is a huge possibility. And only you know you have to find what works for you. But that's my thoughts on that. Virga thoughts fascinating very fascinating. There's so much that goes on within our bodies that you don't even know what's happening in there. I will say Jen. I know you're not a big fan on anymore. Late trying many supplements or anything but if there's one supplement you ever want to try it for long term health benefits this man. I mean as the precursor to any D. Which seems to be the master regulator of so many things like we. We think like Glutathione. Is Our master antioxidants. Guess what's driving. What how much thion you have any D- like so much goes back in a D so it's fascinating for listeners. If you'd like to get the US I do use the one by quicksilver scientific just go to Melanie. Avalon DOT com slash. Quicksilver that link will get you ten percent off that or any of the other products they have. They have so many products when I go on that website. I'm like Ooh every thing because it's all like wipe Assam. Also it's like all informs that are really absorb the body so you get the full the full bioavailability but yet so many things I was gonna say just obviously those two people mentioned Dr Crocheted and David Sinclair. Huge fans of fasting. Well that was. That was a very interesting story. We just you know things things happen and get checked out if you're worried but yeah. I love to think that we're turning back the clock to a more youthful state David Sinclair thanks. We can I mean he thinks we can age backwards literally. It's almost haunting. I love thinking about the idea that that we're going to age differently than if we were not doing. Intermittent fasting we think about it like car. You know if you have a car and you drive that car. Drive it hard and always a reverend. The accelerator inured slamming on the brakes. And you're just driving. That car like a teenager is done. Drive a car. It's GonNa wear out versus if you keep that car and don't drive it so hard anyway. The whole point of the car is the digesting. You know if you're always constantly eating and digesting and making that our bodies have to work versus you know not putting all those you know. Miles on the body on down to algae might be failed set. A failed analogy. No no I think. I think it's RV like drive the car. Never get the oil changed right. Like never dooney get new. Brakes and fasting is where we're getting the oil change where we're getting the breaks and where you know anyway and I. I think it's I honestly think it's the EPA genetic changes and I can actually tie into your car analogy because we like to think. Oh it's because you're not eating so your body has time now to go repair all these other things which is true. But the mechanism of action. There is the fasting turns on these genes that go and do all of this and so the key is the key is turning on these genes. And that's why I think it's just so profound I think it's a reasonable can see changes so fast is because these changes occur on the genetic level like those. They can happen fast. It's fascinating I love to be part of the experiment. That is intermittent fasting because we really are on the forefront. We are the long-term study right. It's just crazy 'cause like gets the thing it's like the I'm you know for help because it's like the one thing because I talked about taking 'em in and talks about all these other things. That cold showers people don't like doing. I love cold showers but the fasting is the one thing that anybody can can integrate into their life every day. And it's not doing something. It's not doing something you know. So that's why anybody can do it because it's not doing something. It's not like you have to go. Despite the fact that I really actually think everybody should start supplementing within a meme. It's not you don't have to buy anything so it's accessible is accessible to all and it will save you money unless you're like me then you buy better food so there was some girls with like a mad at you jen. It was. She wasn't really mad. But it's just like I my wedding dress getting married and now it's too big to even be altered and like sorry not sorry. I'm like I'm sorry and I'm thrilled for you at the same time. So so it's not saving her money money but overall somebody actually who was it was in this article for seed net the cheapskate. I didn't even talk about that. Yeah did you read that both of us we? We had like that in the Fox. Oh Yeah Yeah. Yeah but the guy talked about it from the perspective of how much money you could. Save from intermittent fasting. Rick Roy Dobley business name but it was. It was a great article about intermittent fasting. The interviewed me for it. He read delayed tonight but it was an article for C. Net. You know I told you. I think. I don't know why they haven't done this. I think. There's a brilliant. Because they say that. It's too hard to do that. You can't do a blind eye F- steady. I know how to do it. It's not hard you do it. I think it's so simple. You get a pill it would have to be something completely inert so can it be a sugar pill. Obviously we'd have to fill it with something I don't know it would be filled with and you tell them I can't be taken with food like you make it so that it will automatically forced them into a I F window I will. That's interesting and they don't realize that it said Yeah. They think the study is testing the pill. But it's testing fasting. That's interesting the brilliant idea not to say I'm brilliant. But I don't know why they haven't done that because I think that would be the best because people think oh. I can't fast but like honestly Like all you'd have to do is I guess the You'd have to have two pills that they take one in the morning and one at night so that it so that it would force a window. That's that's what you'd have to do and I don't think people would realize that being forced into a window if they're still getting to eat you know only breakfast you can make it so that would force them into a window. That's like nine to five. Maybe that's interesting idea. So 'cause nine to five. The people could still squeeze in breakfast lunch and dinner they wanted. You would say. Take this pill five. Pm and you know you can have food for summertime after take a pill it you could make it so like they can't have food for like a certain amount of time after so that hopefully they would be asleep and then they would take one in the morning and that would push their windows that they can't eat until later you'd have to think about it but I think could be done. I think that's a really good idea. And we could go. You could put continuous glucose monitors on them. If you wanted to make sure that if hopefully didn't get up in the middle of the night of you would know because that would be the only thing. Yeah that's true so I think on these studies it's really important. Moving forward to always have people on continuous glucose monitors. Because that's the only way you could really make sure they're not cheating. Oh Yeah you're right that's true you're right because they could claim they weren't eating but then they really were. That's how they monitored we talked about that cell metabolism study on ATF. That's how they monitored the people on the thirty six hour fast well now have like ten million other things. I WANNA talk about. But this has been great. I guess I'll talk to you next week. All right I'll talk to. You.

"I i got one more thing for you. Which is kind of fun. Have you guys seen some futures for n._b._a. Over over unders for winds b._s._e._s.'s yeah like if you go online you can find some the who doesn't like future lines and n._b._a. Futures are interesting because there is this assumption that now all of a sudden now the clippers are going to be the team to beat the clippers because of their personnel and look i. I think that the clippers are ultimately going to be very competitive team and may well win an n._b._a. Championship championship but it should be pointed out that paul georgia's coming off dual shoulder surgery kawhi leonard wasn't right in the finals and he's coming off a season where he only played sixty sixty games and they're also going to have to new stars on their team which let's be honest. That's kind of hard to <hes> to to deal with now. They have most of their core back but the fact is that you add two new pieces to that core. It's going to be bumpy early on their over under his fifty fifty six and a half winds and while that may seem low considering the two stars that they've added. I'd actually think that's high. I would take take the under why paul george is probably not gonna be right until what december and the team's not to be a cohesive until january warrior february and once you get too late in the season. They're going to be resting players anyway. My guess is that the clippers regular season is a little bit more underwhelming underwhelming than you would think are. Let's get to rick roy. He's the head coach of cal baptist. They've only been division one for one season he his rise to prominence is awesome awesome. His perspective on coaching basketball is really really interesting. Rick roy head coach of cal baptist joins us walnut creek is the tough side of the tracks up there where you grew up right what division was northgate high school because we gr- we graduate. "But I've never seen that. I don't think anybody would do that now. So the whole idea of Jim Timothy station. Something that's within yourself. I believe so. Interesting. I wonder what people think other I'll I'll read the whole story. I didn't read the whole story. There were percentages and numbers and all that. The hopefully Carey can read this for me. But when we come back, I want your phone calls. I mean, I am I missing it because I walk in. And I say Hello to the people that I know that I like it whatever. And then I'll go and get on the machine or going lift the weights and do what I do. So I don't know. It's to me. It's never even met a concern. When I first started walk a working out. I found the biggest guy in the gym, my friend. Rick ROY mentioned oftentimes here, and I asked him questions about working out. Whereas everybody else was staying away from him because he was clearly on something. And he was nuts. But I didn't care. I I wanted to get in better shape. But he was a big guy. And I wanted to teach me what it was that. He and his wife, we're working on. I just think that that makes sense. Maybe we just have to motivate motivate people to not be intimidated and not be afraid. Because again, I don't think it's coming from the people who are already in really good shape. I think it's coming from inside of the people that feel intimidated. We'll see what you think. Eight eight nine four one pags joepags dot com. Stay writer. Jio pag. From the wwl traffic center. But maybe is really dead might be a little lost in translation. Yeah. A little tongue in cheek. But I did I went to bed and said that Rick ROY Machias been the best player on the PGA tour. So far this year. I'm not slagging him off. I think he's talking to you guys. So well, I picked him to win the masters. Everything was directed at Rick random super complementary. Rickie rory. There's too many ours in our last podcast who slagging off was that you big ranting. I think he everybody kinda hit rainy called them thrown under pitcher feel like you've been take from. Doc project voted you. I think the most interesting thing we touched on. Was. Comparing Rory's stroke gained performance to war in baseball, or you know, PR in bass, you know, kind of take your pick of this all encompassing player performance metric, and I think there's an interesting discussion to be had and we don't need to do it now. But it'll be you know, we'll all see how it plays out going forward between it's the age old debate between who's the most valuable players the guy the best guy in the team that wins the most or the guy who performs best in this oncoming metric, and I don't know the answer to that. But I think it is interesting. And I look forward to seeing how it plays out. All right. So that's awesome. It cop out right there. What do you think thus far on the PGA tour season? I think there's I think at least. Concerning lack of wins in what could be big spots for Rory. I think the other thing when Rory think kept has been the MVP dancer question this year. No, not like over the last eighteen because I think with Rory to we're not we're not necessarily judging Rory the rest of the tour. Judging ROY against what his potential is for sure. Yeah. Judging ROY not even his potential what he has done actually achieve, but I feel that's part of being a great player in any sport. But it back to the point though. I think it's like we were maybe a bit discounting having four straight top fives a big deal. I get a great sign for playing this good of golf. I really really really good. And for the record. We were definitely slagging Jordan speed. We listed all made and talked about how much is ball striking decrease. I don't know if you might be hearing what you want here a little bit there James, please don't stop voicemails like own it..
