"Crackdown Situation Room. That are trying to bring some rationale and reason to the discussion and you start blocking them. I mean my my kids have a crazy. Funny Little Tiktok Video that they made about being on lockdown and quarantine and all that and because it's over a million views even talk gone in and put a banner on it for Truth About Covert Nineteen. Click here that takes you to the World Health Organization. I mean it's it's crazy. How far we're going with this so yeah I think there is. There is a time now for government to intervene in order to protect our freedom of the press. Hey Rick let me ask you this to be very apolitical. You're not right or left or whatever you know just like I mentioned to you about the that that last part of the Fifth Amendment. What do you feel because obviously you experience daily and deal with it? Why are we so willingly giving up our rights? Why are we so willingly laying down and just accepting is it? Lack of knowledge is lack of education. Is it what do you feel is going on? I'm sorry go ahead. No please no. I think it's a combination of of really well played out fear and then just ignorance just and I don't mean Eggers has as an insult I'm ignorant about many things right but civic ignorance and Tom Gyping says ignorance is curable. I think that's absolutely accurate. When three fourths of Americans can't name the three branches of government when half of Americans can't name even one freedom out of the first minute we went over five of them earlier and I couldn't name the freedoms out. I mean. That's actually what my wakeup call was. I'm sitting in my own Capitol Office when I was a legislator and I'm complaining about the fact that Texans couldn't name the five freedoms out of the First Amendment and then I tried to name. I couldn't even get close now. It's like oh my gosh. I'm a legislator of a lawyer political junkie. I live this stuff and I can't name. That's when I started teaching the constitutes start studying at more myself and started teaching it so I think the ignorance part of it is I mean. Think about it. I grew up at school house. Rock Saturday morning. I'm learning how a bill becomes law right. We need some of that basic stuff right now because we're leading one person in each state make law. They're making this up on their own. They're writing law as governors mayors are writing law and enforcing that law and here. We are two and a half months into that kind of tyranny with no legislative input. No no no checks and balances so just the basic idea of separation of powers and checks and balances the ideas that made our nation. Great the idea. Is that the founding fathers when they gathered in Independence Hall. They took all these ideas that they were reading in monastery and reading in the Bible and reading lock and they put it together and created this incredible system and we have forgotten those very basic. So that's what? I'm hoping. There's a wakeup call right now. The reason we're doing constitution coach. Dot Com is to give people a chance that have never thought about this too. Just go watch a few videos. They're not GonNa put you to sleep. They're entertaining but you can learn about the constitution and get your friends and family to do the same. You cannot defend a searcher rights. If you don't know your rights so to follow up on that would you encourage like so far listeners. Out there I mean obviously we have a pretty diverse listenership but there are a bunch of right wing a bunch of business owners. But do you feel so somebody just come across this? What would you encourage is? Education is going and watching some videos. It's like what I realized a few minutes ago about. What is the last part of the Fifth Amendment? Do you believe that's the place to start to open up people's I really do think they'd it almost always starts with us? We love to blame others right just like I got the governor's but really the the real problem. The real pandemic is not the virus. And it's not even these petty tyrants the real pandemic that that loss of civic knowledge that's been festering underneath the surface for decades and now we're seeing the result of it so if that's the real pandemic if the real problem is civic ignorance who got us into this then civic literacy not only get us out of it prevent it from happening in the future and it's interesting you say that about the different types of listeners. Because what's interesting about when you look at the bill of rights. Most Americans agree on this stuff when we don't care if you're right left. Few Republican Democrat Daffy Duck Party. I don't care what whatever your political persuasion you want freedom of speech for your kids you want freedom of religion or to have no religion all for yourself you WanNa have all of these things. The only thing is that maybe some on the left would not join us on the right of self-defence right which the founder said was the first law of nature. Let's not go there. I could talk about that one all day but when you talk about due process and you don't want soldiers quartered in your home and all these things in the bill of rights. I don't care if you're left or right or when you need to know these things and our first chief justice was John Jay. He's first chief justice the US Supreme Court sign or the Constitution. Help frame it. He was one of the guys that gave us a federalist papers. Just kind of our instruction manual the Constitution. Here's the thing. He said that really fits for us today. He said every citizen ought to read and study the Constitution and teach the rising generation to be free by knowing. Our Rights will sooner perceive when they're violated and be the better prepared to defend and assert. Though we didn't know our rights two months ago they were being violated over and over and over again and we started to say our gut. This just doesn't feel right. Something's wrong here. But if we knew our rights we would have perceived that sooner and we would have properly defended and asserting them were starting to do that right. We're winning lawsuits across the country Wisconsin. We got their order thrown out. Were churches are starting to be able to meet again. We're winning sued after suit after suit and thankfully we've got some of the best attorneys on the planet that are representing people for free and we'll we'll connect you with them if you need them. That's all it constitution. Coach Dot Com. But the point is you gotTa know your right before you can defend in a certain. So I'm asking not just conservatives I'm saying liberals now left wingers that's a different. That's a religion for them right but liberals are typically are intellectually honest with you and we'll actually think this stuff through people in the middle that have never thought about this. That's our real target. Those are the people that we want so bad to get passionate about freedom and become students of freedom. What is your website constitution? Coach Dot Com constitution coach Dot Com. How do you? How do you get paid? How are you making any money with this donor? Sweet were given this all away for free so it's people that donate at our at our website. We coach people for free. We give the classes away for free.

"Ten is the most politically active person in the world and one is a person who generally could care less. How would you rate your overall political involvement previous to this covert nineteen craziness? I I'd say. Good solid three or four. Like for sheer transparency. Rick bringing up that second part of the Fifth Amendment never knew it existed. I'm going to be completely honest. I think there's a lot of listeners out there and a lot of business owners I mean I get to fortunately hang out with a lot of intelligent people quite often present company included and I never knew the second part of the Fifth Amendment. And he's asked the last season due process. Oh absolutely yeah. I plead the fifth. I plead the fifth. Yeah and you heard it right right. You heard a grand jury. You've heard of all those things that very last part. That is so important. But you're right most people I do that cost. You should classes all over the country and I'll stand there s people that almost no one knows about that part of the Fifth Amendment absolutely fascinating and what the government has done to us over these last going on four months and well little pretty close yet. We talked about this. I Say I'm GonNa make sure the listeners get this because when I want everyone to put this this word picture in your mind H. U. G. H. It all started all. The fear started with hugely inflated predictions about the models the models we kept talking about the models. Dr Deborah Burks was interviewed. She was on the White House at the White House. Press conference and she's talking about the models that came out of the UK there again these models that predicted two point two million Americans might die. I'm GonNa play the audio clip for the listeners. Out there because some people might not have heard the most recent updates from her but again Neil Ferguson. Initially predicted that two point two million people would die from the corona virus. Go Nineteen and this is Deborah Brooks has to say about it. Here we go. I'm sure many of you saw the recent report out of the UK about them adjusting completely. There needs on. This is really quite important. If you remember. That was the report that said there would be five hundred thousand deaths in the UK and two point two million deaths in the United States. They've adjusted that number in the UK to twenty thousand so half a million to twenty thousand. We're looking into this in great detail Noah Neil Ferguson. He predicted two point. Two million American deaths. Now they've adjusted that they said he's off by twenty five times which means America's now on pace to lose a total of eighty eight thousand one hundred ten thousand from the cove. Nineteen somebody out there watching right now. Says we've already lost more than eight thousand. Yes think about the U. The you can. H is hugely inflated models. But you is the ugly truth the actual number of cases and deaths have been inflated through Mis Attribution All right and then g the only solution we could possibly have these hugely inflated models and this ugly truth about the copen nineteen cases being inflicted in the deaths being played. It is to take away your freedom. So you've just mentioned rick how we're losing our our fifth amendment our Fifth Amendment Rights. Let's talk about our first amendment. What is our First Amendment for the listeners out there that are not familiar with the United States Constitution's First Amendment? You know I was saying a few weeks ago. That four of the five freedoms in the first amendment been violated by all these Cova crackdowns which is your freedom of religion. So we're stopping churches from meeting your freedom of speech so you can't protesting and go show up or even speak from the pulpit your freedom of assembly whether that be at your church or your local club or whatever nobody can get together and your freedom to petition your government for redress agreements and I had been skipping freedom of the press and say now that hasn't been violated they because they're on the side of the fear tactics but in reality if you think of yourself as the press clay and taking my radio program is depress or even our posts on facebook or even these youtube clips that are being taken down in reality. Some portion of our freedom of the press has been violated as well. But even if you take that off the table four out of the five absolutely violated on a daily basis and these these dictators in these states are doubling down even with the numbers that you just described even with what you've shown people with with with the the false narrative and the fear mongering and the numbers they refused to pivot. They refuse to come back now. Thankfully the president is putting the pressure on them to say at least open the churches and even newsom is now saying they will. But of course. The micromanaging of you can sit with your family. But not within you know of anybody else are going to literally essentially give churches the measurements for how they're gonNA have to sit in their church. It's ridiculous and that's unconstitutional. They cannot tell you how you're going to worship there literally in that out in California how you can do community. It's ridiculous now. What amendment for the listeners. Don't know what amendment gives us. The freedom of the press would amendment is that First Amendment the First Amendment. Okay so everybody out there. If you're not familiar with these amendments I'm putting them all on the show notes. Okay so the. First Amendment Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof or abridging the freedom of speech or of the press or the right of the people peaceably or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition. The government for a redress of grievances. Were you skip the last part? Yes Sir Simple in there and then it says unless there's a virus that one tenth of one percent might not survive therefore the other ninety nine point nine percent may not use any of these freedoms I black. Did you skip that now? I want to actually listeners. Know this because this is so big this while having a constitutional coach on today's show. Is these these rights are being taken from you and the justification? That's being used as oh. This virus is so dangerous however. Listen TO THIS FOLKS. Listen to this again. They should be able take away your rights from even if it was dangerous. But think about this. Cnn just reported this is not from Fox this is CNN may twenty second there are now reports CNN. Folks I got the excerpt here for him. They're reporting that. The Center for Disease Control. Now knows.

"On your radio. Podcast download Josh Wilson. How are you sir? I'm very well. Thank you Mr Clark. How you brother. I am excited to have you on the show today and I. I know that you living water irrigation. You are having a great year. You're having a great month. Things are explained your growth this year versus last year. You up about ten percent or fifteen percent so year to date at this very minute. Well as of Friday so I don't know as of today but as a Friday were up thirty eight percent year over year and a lot of our listeners. On the other side of things They are in a really tough spot right now. Because their business has been deemed to be non essential. And that's not good on it. And we are deeply empathize with you but I want any of the listeners out there who are unaware of what's going on or how. This corona virus government overreaction to the to the pandemic. The government has has seized many of our rights in today's guests. We're GONNA have with us to talk about your constitutional rights but just a quick timeline. Here Josh One. I'm sure you remember this about four months ago. Hearing about these these doomsday predictions sir. From Neil Ferguson. Where he said that two point two million Americans might die. He said that they might die next thing. You know everybody's worried. Fear sets in step two ugly truth we interview. People like Lindsey blankenship at a hospital. Doctors nurses they said that the the guidelines on the forms when someone comes into the hospital with flu like symptoms. They're supposed to anybody who has a cough or a fever. They're supposed to diagnosed him as covid. Like thus inflating the number of cases so the number of the number of predicted deaths was inflated by Neil Ferguson's false models. The number of cases was falsely inflated to match the false models and now the government's having a grab they're grabbing at your at Your Freedoms Festival. Taking away your right to peaceably assemble. They're taking away and many states. You're right to bear arms. They're taking away a right to go to church. They're taking away your right to send your kids to school. They're taking away your rights to be open for business and so I thought let's have a guy on the show today. Who can speak with great clarity about the about the United States constitution and the rights that we all have and so without any further? Ado Rick Greene. Welcome onto the thrive time show. How are you Sir Man? I'm glad to be here. I never thought I would have man cave envy. But I'm feeling it right now bro. This place is amazing while Andrew kind of do a panoramic view to the man cave. While I'm asking you a few questions here. You are constitution coach and for a lot of listeners including myself previous to knowing you. I've never heard of such a thing. What is a constitution coach? Well as you know well you need a coach in business you to coach in your health. We have people coach us and just about everything. We need a coach and freedom right now and so we are training people to go out and coach their friends and family their neighbors people in their church wherever they can get people together coach them constitutional rights teach them the constitution. You and I met for the first time in person at the trump hotel in Chicago. Yeah and I would say and maybe you would disagree with me. I would say about forty percent of the people on the street in Chicago. Appear to be adhering to the mask wearing rules. Yes even if they were walking their dog by themselves and no one within one hundred feet. I had to chuckle everytime I saw that. But Yeah so even though Dr Jim. Monaghan has pointed out. There is no medical reason to wear a mask. And even though you will point out on today's show there's no constitutional basis for all of these freedoms being stripped away. And and there's no scientific evidence because the models are incorrect government is reaching into our lives as as never before since the constitution was created and is stripping America of our basic freedoms. I'd like for you to share sir. What freedoms are you seeing from your perspective being taken from American? And how scared should we be? How worried should be about this? There are so many parts of the constitution factors hard to find part of the constitution left unscathed by these orders across the country. I mean we've seen it with freedom of religion we've seen it with freedom of speech freedom of to symbol to petition our government to protest at travel our Second Amendment Rights. We're looking at all kinds of due process rights being violated Fifth Amendment. Taking Claus. Mean you name it. It's across the board and as you said it's something we we never thought we would see even once or twice even in places like California or Massachusetts where you might expect it but instead we're seeing it across the country even in my home state of Texas. Now I have a terrible short term short term memory and of terrible long term memory. So when you're firing off hey or any part of your memory this good. It's just the middle area. Okay Middle Area Josh. The Right now works right right now right now. I'm pretty good with right now. Five minutes from now. Let's talk about the Fifth Amendment. Yeah what How how is the Fifth Amendment being violated? And what what is the Fifth Amendment Constitutional about? We typically think of it as I plead the fifth. Right I don't want to answer that question so I'm going to plead the fifth. It's the last part of the Fifth Amendment. That is the most important to me. And that is our property rights that you cannot have your property taken from you without just compensation from government and right now virtually every business owner in the country is having their property taken from them little by little the longer the lockdowns continue the longer we have these cova crackdowns. You're destroying these lives. Which you've talked about over and over again. And that is a taking government has taken your business from you and destroyed. That's why I see. The cares act is paying damages not even close to what the actual damages are. But it's an tip to somehow do that why I've actually encouraged conservatives that would normally say no help from the government that look you're getting the damages that you deserve to some extent for what the government's actually done to you the Fifth Amendment. That says no person shall be held to answer for a capital or otherwise infamous crime unless resentment of an indictment of a grand jury except in cases arising in the land or naval services or in the militia when an actual service in time of war or public danger nor shall any person be subject to the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself nor be deprived of life liberty or property without due process of the law nor shall private property be taken for public use without just compensation. How has how has our private property been taken without without our Arkansas? How does that happy people out there who may live in a state? That's more open. Sure and in some areas. It's more of a threat on the front end so you know we. We were both in Chicago this weekend at a church where they had been threatened by the Mayor of Chicago with this term. I'd never even heard of summary Abatement which apparently means they can come in and destroy the church without any any due process that would obviously be taking their property but even by threat and preventing them from being able to use their property. You can argue that. They've taken their property argued for longtime the endangered species. Act as a taking of your property. Even though they don't take the title of the property they prevent you from being able to use it to to its greatest economic use and so in the same way. If I threaten you as a business you can opener. You can only open with twenty five percent capacity. I'm taking your property to some extent maybe seventy five percent of of your property that time on preventing you from being able to use it and certainly zero due process here so when we talk about denying a citizen life liberty and property without due process zero evidence that your business has had any any any cases of covid. Any anybody with the virus in there that there's been any spreading disease evidence all on conjecture all on theory and thankfully some judges are already handing down decisions saying there's no evidence here that you cannot take people's property or prevent people from opening based on a theory. Josh. You're just trying to run a company. Yes Sir you are. On a scale of one to ten. Ten is the most political person in the world. Somebody who wakes up every day and it goes to. Cnn goes to Fox hops on rush. Limbaugh gets into a debate on a scale of one to ten..

"Rick green the constitutional coach to talk about what's going on as far as all of us shutting down following what the government says and now people going Hey another this I gotta get back to work and let's go so Rick good morning thank you for being with me thank you my pleasure and thank you have me on absolutely so no you're right I was actually having this discussion with a friend of mine yesterday and his thought on this whole thing was the corona virus nothing more than a serious flu season too much hype on it we all need to get back out there live our lives where are you when it comes to following the you know the dictator the doctors because they're all kind of doom and gloom still versus getting back out and save in this economy before the ramifications get worse with families and people who don't have any money coming in J. P. I'm you know I'm no scientist but everything I'm reading a scientist really split people in Sweden and South Dakota and other places have not shut down their economies are not doing any worse than everybody else so I do think that was a huge mistake in historically constitutionally we've never done that this the first time in our history that governors have shut down their entire economy I mean even back in nineteen eighty with the Spanish flu which was twenty five times more deadly than what we're dealing with right now even then nobody shut down the entire economy the most they did was limit public galleries that in some big cities they closed you know some of their their restaurants and churches but was very limited and targeted and that's with kids die and I mean it was way worse than what we're facing we got one that's you know ninety nine point nine percent of people to get it are going to survive we know who the most vulnerable are and and constitutionally that's where the issue is what were not issued these orders and and what would we say in cartridge world lease you know weeks restrictive narrowly tailored way so even if it was as bad as what some of the doctors and scientists are saying even that they have not had their government invention be intervention be done in such a way that is least restrictive and narrowly tailored they shut everybody down and I can't think Jake Austrian army that most people are aware of that has it been violated it universally the entire constitution has been violated at the moment taking clause freedom of religion freedom of speech right to protest right to travel our due process they're they're trampling on all of it and for what reason it's time for people to know their rights a constitution coach dot com that's what we're doing is just educating the public so they get a little bit of civics and little bit of history and understand how to fix this thing why do you think it got to this point if we seen other cases where we've had the sars we've had you know of polio we have is a number of different viruses and diseases over the history of our country and the world why did this one take off so crazy and then all of a sudden the reaction so crazy well see there's a problem J. T. sounds like you actually have common sense are not too many people have that anymore you know we just don't think it's been all about fear it's been all about fear mongering we haven't stopped and paused and said wait a minute wait a minute let's let's let's rethink this thing now that the data is coming and the whole world was scared to death of becoming Italy I mean that was what it all started as you know two weeks the flatness curve and make sure we don't overrun our hospitals and we all got on board with that that was reasonable with an end date it made sense not a single person with a hospital bed America nobody went without a ventilator we can't you know that part of it has not been an issue and yet they keep moving the goal posts you got some governor say now they're not even gonna let churches meet until there's a vaccine Dickey we don't even know if they'll ever have a backseat I mean that is not a given that they there was we have viruses we still don't have vaccines work so it's it's a dangerous situation and I'm not at I'm not a conspiracy guy at all I don't you know I don't think this was cooked up to get rid of trump even though they certainly taking advantage of it to try to make you yeah but I just I just I'm really worried that that politicians when they get power and I'm a former legislator I've been around as I get it they don't want to give it up and some of these leaders not just the governor some local leaders they're drunk with power and that's what we used to believe in separation of powers and checks and balances nobody ever thought it was a good idea to give one person this much power either at the state or local level and yet now we've done it and and they're not they haven't given it back we're still letting them call all the shots are working people go to more you'll learn more about this in our liberties in the constitution what's the website you bet constitution coach dot com welcome to coach in different areas that's what we do we've got about a thousand coaches across the country hosting local classes teaching people about the constitution but it's really easy just go to the website you can watch the videos there if you're curious about quarantines on what's constitutional that sort of thing or you can sign up for one of our classes if you need immediate legal help if your rights are being violated we are teamed up with the best of the best at liberty counsel first liberty and Pacific justice all these groups that argue before the Supreme Court that it they they went and they they've already knocked out a bunch of these orders but both okay Kentucky and.

"And you can't even use your petition. The government or churches being shut down not even allowed to go in their cars. I mean we could go down the list of all the horrible things that are being taught silly. Thanks at a beautician. The sting operation on a beautician in Texas. No less that was arrested for doing. Somebody's nails in her home. I mean those kind of things should make you go way to minute. I mean if you don't have George Orwell's nineteen eighty-four as party or go curriculum. All this stuff it's after right now might should make you make you make you include that But yeah I I think most people now are are realizing whoa freedom is is worth protecting so that brings us back to. How how do you do it and how do you how do you make it fun? I again deployed. I guess chasing American legends. That starts with any kids. So I'm even six-year-old will enjoy watching a show like chasing American legends or Dave Stotts drive. History I'm a big believer in finding ways to tell the stories in an entertaining way. This is not mine. I wanted to do it with like this but a friend of mine. David Bowman did this. So it's called. What would the founder stink? And he's an artist so his caricatures are really funny. And it's a time machine story where Benjamin Franklin and Washington and I think it's atoms time machine and go go forward to our day and they say how in the world the JUG to this point. And then he uses all kinds of stories written for really maybe sixth seventh grade But I I recommend it as even Latte book to sit down with your younger kids. Redo it So it's a fun way to start really thinking about what how government should be set up to protect freedom. So that's That's not one we wrote. We can get it a Patriot dot com. Just get it at Amazon. It's an easy one to get. What would the founders thanks? So that's that's fun and we do want who's going to grab one behind the year. This is the kind of been her style. I'll remember her. But you know that was the best selling novel of of of the eighteen. Hundreds written by the way by a former governor of Indiana Lew Wallace and his statues in the capital. If you ever go to the US capital you can go see the statue of the guy that wrote in her but he did that story as a novel first novel ever wrote which is a phenomenal phenomenal read but it's it's it's it's fiction. It's fact she's what we call faction where it's true the and it tells the story of Christ accurately but through the eyes of a character that never really existed. So that part's made up so we try to do the same thing. And this is a book called the Patriots Dot. This is not just for ladies out there. I have eighty year old man that come up and say when is the Sequel Ready But it's it's written through the eyes of a fifteen year old girl in the Revolutionary War And it's a novel and it's done in any way bit romance and their little bit a little bit of father son. Father Daughter Interaction in conflict in different things. But it's anyway. It's a fun way to do that. So those are just a Smidgen of what's out there. There are tons of great materials. Anything that's GonNa tell history in an entertaining way and accurate I must say that because even in the Christian homeschooling world and Christian universities and Christopher private schools. There's a lot of inaccurate stuff out there as well. If you run across resources that are trying to sell this narrative of America being a secular nation and and and founded on the idea of separating God from everything. Run the other direction. They're not first of all they're not true. It's not accurate. We've got the largest private collection in the world. The founding fathers documents at wall builders when you go into David Barnes Library and you read the original letters and journals and resources in speeches and everything else it just opens your eyes to realize. Wow we really were founded on biblical principles. How can we get away from that as a nation so make sure that they're accurate but but entertaining as well and then just find application in everyday life we used to? I mean even when our property taxes would go. We have conversations with our eight nine ten year. Olds you know about you know does this. Should the government be conditioned us for invested in our home and adding on the porch? They're now going to take more of our money because we added a out of the house. Let's talk about that philosophically and we'd sit around and we didn't use the word philosophically with eight but you know what I'm saying. And we try to apply to bill right and same thing with jurisdictions you teach your kids about jurisdictions with their toys and with their room. And you know if you've got if you've got a if you have to but the zone school programs so if you have kids and you let one of the kids. That doesn't sleep in room a go into room a and paint the room as they choose in some neon crazy color and see if all the kids that live in room a get the concept of jurisdiction and say. Wait a minute. That's not your jurisdiction. You shouldn't have got to choose what Colorado was GONNA be painted but just look for ways realize to reflect how government works but in your house because that governments in play in your house right now. Yes you kind of get to be a dictator as parents But you know you. Can you can find those examples as well. And that's how we try to teach chasing in our in our books as well. That was a long answer. I'm so sorry days here for everybody so excited everybody's writing all these down. I love the idea of using it in your home like when you talk about socialism and just you. You've heard it when everybody you just divide all the kids grades and everybody has the same grade no matter how hard I mean. I just really love those practical hands on ideas to help the kids really see it. Play out at home and make it very real for them rather than just as abstract like we. I don't know like I like you said when we grew up. It just wasn't fun. It didn't connect with US. But we have as homeschool families we get that privilege. We have that freedom to to teach our kids history a fun way in a way that is meaningful to their life can connect with them so we're very blessed to have that freedom for sure. Let one of kids mow the lawn. And and tell them you're you're GonNa pay him twenty bucks and then split it among all five kids and say you get four and they need to give forward while while the other while the other kids were sitting on the porch drinking lemonade and watching and then say.

"I'm special in everybody around us. Yes men and all that stuff even though you also being attacked in the media and all but yeah I mean they just get this sense of entitlement and you'd see it more in Washington than you do at the state level but you do see at stay local well and so I say public service because I want to remind them and remind us they're public servants literally there to serve us and I think one of the dangers we have is when we think we have such a great system that you know. I don't have to worry about my freedom or we even think I have such a good representative or congressman or governor. I don't even have to wear not at all. I agree with Bob. Mcewen former congressman from Ohio. Always says I don't trust any politician anymore than I can throw them over my left shoulder left-handed he added a few others in there but anyway the boy is no matter how good they are. They need us in the equation holding them accountable encouraging them when they do the right thing letting them know when we disagree but doing that. You know. Obviously one of the dangers too often. We stay out of the system for so long that when the system finally impacts us we we get mad and we responded in anger or we need to be doing is painted all the time and letting them know when they do good even. If they're you know it it may it may be pro-abortion Democrat that represents you but for some reason they voted to protect your right to home school. You never know what's GonNa Happen with a with a public rental where they would still call a write them and say thank you for protecting my writer of home. Schooling obviously going to work against him in the election of the pro-abortion but at that moment because having that relationship with lead to turning on that issue whatever it might be. All I'm saying. Is that tone? That we have withholding the public service account was really really important and having that mindset that those folks worked for us and not. The other way around will get us more engaged in campaigns. I wanted to all scores out there. You can have more of an impact on elections than anybody else when I won my first race in nineteen ninety eight actually lost on election night by twenty votes out of thirty thousand we had a recount and I won by thirty six votes that close and I was running against a really powerful coming and But my campaign was homeschool families. We had we had families with six seven kids out of every poll. You know with the green shirts on old agreement and knocking on doors and do you guys can have such a great impact. So you don't have to read about Civics Textbook. You can actually go live by standing at the polls for a candidate or are helping someone So again long answered your question but I think mindset is real important public servants. They work for us. Don't forget what the declaration says. I mean. This whole system starts with the idea. So we're GONNA talk constitution. We gotTa Talk About Declaration. Because that's the foundation. John Quincy Adams said the declaration is the foundation at the home of the Constitution was built a button so without that we don't really know what our philosophy of government is. The constitution is more like a playbook or a rule book. The declaration is the philosophy behind that. Here's why we think this. And one of the fundamental principles of the declaration that sets up our entire system is that the we set up a government with consent of the governed and so that means that the government can only do what we say it can do and that's why representative government is important and we should choose those leaders but then we also had to make sure that they're abiding by the written constitution that we the people put in place today were were at least psychologically. We've Kinda turned into a pure republic instead of a constitutional republic meaning that we tend to pay attention in the elections than whoever gets elected. We just assume they're either going to do good or bad and we can't do anything about it and that's like a pure republic where you elect them and then you say hey you do. Whatever you think is best. It's all up to you. A Constitutional Republic says. We're like in who we think is best we want you to do what is best within the boundaries that the constitution draws but that idea of boundaries are what we would call. Sean jurisdictions or authority. That's the that's what we've lost. And frankly why we now allow government to run roughshod over our lives and tell us how to do everything. A parental rights is is is under attack in a big way entry right. Now we've got a big in Texas right now on. Parental rights is. That's going to be huge. So the right to homeschool to choose the education of that child to choose the upbringing that child all of those things that has to be protected constitutionally but if we don't recognize it the boundaries we set up our constitution. Don't even allow. The congressmen are the state. Legislators to touch that issue if we don't understand that if we don't recognize those batteries they were going to say well if they think it's best whatever the state thinks best we're GONNA so we got. We got to have basic ideas number one that they work for us. That are rational. Come from government they come from God takes from God and we put that government in place to protect those rights. Then we're putting that down in paper. And we're giving certain jurisdictional lines to each level of government. We give certain jurisdiction to the family to the church to our state government or local government and to the federal government. And they're not supposed to get outside of those boundaries but we don't know boundaries. Then how do we know when to stand up and say wait a minute? You're not supposed to do that. We're getting a lot of questions about batteries right now on. The President says total authority or are wondering who can do a lot as at the state or is it the locals the Federal Arkan. Anybody can they close your private business? Where do they get that authority? All these things that are happening right now. One of the good things is it's causing people to start to wonder for the first time. Wait a minute. What's the constitution. Say about this. I never thought about that. I mean yeah so now. People are really really interested in those jurisdictions. Yeah and we are called to set up our Ki- I mean as parents. We are called to teach and train our children up and so it is our responsibility as parents to teach and train our children this these ways so that as these things come they just justice with the Bible we take them to the Bible for the answers of all things and when it comes to American government we need to be able to take them to and we can't tell teach them if we don't know what it is so it is. I mean I am so passionate. That parents need to teach their children history. They need to teach their children. The constitution where we came from how we got here and it gives a piece right now. My family doing American history our second year And as we're doing World War Two. It's just strangely. People would think that would terrify your kids and strangely. It's bringing our kids such a piece because they've seen the hand of God through history and they've seen they've seen it. They've seen the big picture and that that brings a peace and comfort and it's so important in it terrifies me That more people aren't being taught this. Ah Terrifies me. That we have a generation isn't being taught the so rick what? What are you doing to help us? Equipped or kit. What gives them resources. Wish we people are going to be fired up now so we want to teach the concept. What do we do what do we do? You Bet you bet I gotta I gotTa go one side. One thing you said that makes me think of a little bit of a rabbit trout just real quick and they have not only do we want to teach them that at sacrifice and this is up every parent in every child's different in terms of maturity level when they're ready for this but also showing them the horrors of losing our freedoms right and so moving schindler's List and other movies that show how evil tyranny can be an how we can lose freedom and become radical. Most people don't realize Germany in the nineteen thirties was very similar to America. I mean very very I mean they. They experienced what most the same freedoms they had a culturally arts. All of those things It can happen to any people and so we it's not radical. Say It could happen here. It's foolish to say can never happen here so I do think sometimes telling those stories maybe telling the story of Dietrich Bond Hoffer to choose from that error just to show our kids. You know even my seventeen year old the other day. Y'All know him as red he was only twelve or thirteen in the in show in chasing American legends. But you know he. He finally watched lists and same thing. He was saying Batman just adjust. It brought it home. It made me realize how precious freedom is and how at evil can be an if you give absolute power to the government. What can happen. And and and and how bad becomes a using those tools like you're talking about two to to make them realize that and again parental advisory at stuff with those different movies? But I think it's important to teach those things I had always washing band of brothers. You know a Hollywood version where we got rid of the language but still watching Band of brothers at a fairly early age. I mean they were probably thirteen when they watch band of brothers. And that's that's a pretty gory Not Not Super Gory. It doesn't glorify the Gore at all. But man you talk about making known want to Patriots and making them want to defend freedom and to go up and shake her hand of every every soldier. Man It really did. It's your that into their into their conscience so there's good to produce free now where we have to lose than a dozen fire. Put a fire under us to fight for it and our children need to know what what we have to lose you know and look at. What's happening right now? I mean how many people four weeks ago when I went to the grocery store and there was no. You know whatever you were trying to buy whether it was toilet paper or whatever but something at the grocery store that you need and you literally were seen shelves empty. Yeah that's the first taste of socialism. Yet that people in America have ever had to experience. We read about cuban-venezuelan all these places where that's a daily occurrence for them and all of a sudden people are to have to sit in line at the grocery store and only six people going once or whatever the experience right now being towed protests in is not an essential thing..

"To bring history to life and teach on the constitution known as America's constitution codes. Because we try to make it fun like a sport almost in that it can be exciting and civic duty is not something to be afraid of it to embrace so looking forward to hearing some of that today. Yeah thank you well. I know I've shared this with you before. Rick in those who've listened to the podcast they they know a little bit of our story about how Garrett and I said we'd never ever home school and then in two thousand ten is so this was ten years ago. Almost we went to our very first homeschool convention it was in Los Angeles it was put on by Chia and rick. Were one of the keynote speakers you were there and your son. Reagan were together. And you're speaking and literally that weekend alone completely changed our view of homeschooling schooling and it really opened our eyes up to this incredible opportunity. We have to be able to have kids at home with us and be able to disciple their hearts and just pour into them and so you really really instrumental in our decision to homeschool. So thank you for what you do us. Cool thank you. I'm sure it was something. Reagan said that we get and not me but anyway he would have been about seven. I guess seven or eight so he was probably teaching on the declaration anyways really. That's that's great to hear I mean that's that's what we love doing in and I think too many people think this is harder than it is not to. I don't want to you know create a faucet. I mean it is tough to do this. You got sacrifice but man the benefit I was home. Schooled rely on my education and my mom used to get stopped by people all the time and they would be like what a sacrifice. Your Megan homeschool she every time she would stop and say it's not a sacrifice it's an investment in your mindset and and it's not too these days man it is it's it's easier but it's also just fun. I mean there are so many tools avail you spend more time with your kids. You get to go anywhere you want. You'd take a in person to places. I just think we're so blessed to be able to live in America today and the state laws have gotten so much better. I mean just right down the line. It's a much easier thing for people to do. And there's just such good support around you with the state associations and everything that we have so it's fun. Yeah Yeah we have an ambi welcome. I love having me thanks. I'm glad to be here. I'm super excited to be on this one and Totally pumped outbreak. When I told my kids who we were talking to they were through the moon. They were so excited a couple years ago. Abby texted me and she said have you watch this show on Amazon called chasing American legends and I said no and she said this Guy Name Rick Green and his family have have hosted the show and I I know you know I know who at green is of course but I've not heard of this show and I don't know how I hadn't heard of it but so we started watching it and we love love that show I. You need several more seasons. Unfortunately the kids are all alderdice. Convinced him to go travel around the country with US. Investigating History's mysteries. But he had a lot of that project when we got to see some cool stuff march with minutemen. Alexi to law school. Thanks so thank you for watching. I'm glad y'all Our hope is for your kids they can. They can experience some of those things through the eyes of our kids. That was kind of the idea on. The show is if every family can't go to these places and can't get you know we get to hang out with Brad Steinke so we actually makes it funny you know and and fun to learn but at least they could do it through the through. The eyes of our children watching the show. So thank you for watching and for sure and with It's it's Super Fan. We'll put links to that show in the podcast show notes and it's just such a such a fun show to watch You know I wanNA talk today about the constitution. We've been talking a lot about that in our family with all that's going on around us and as we've been talking about it we've we've been just praying through how the Lord can help us as a family to to understand what our God given rights and responsibilities are and then really helping us to know how we can make a difference in the world around us and really finding hope and so as we've talked about it you know we said there's there's no one else that we would rather talk through the constitution with the new Rick because you talk about the constitution but you talk about it from a Biblical worldview which is what we're all about just show as Jesus show us where Jesus isn't all of this and so I would love for you to just talk with us. I about just hope for America. I think a lot of people right now are feeling hopeless. Feeling discouraged were feeling just frustrated beyond belief So where where is the hope for America right now? Big Question you know. I I think first off something you just said in terms of most people just simply talk about our rights and you said our rights and responsibilities and I think that's such a great way to look at. It is too often in our American culture today. We just GIMME GIMME. GimMe and you know. We want things to be easy all of those things and we don't talk about what's on the other side of that with every right. There's a responsibility. There is something that we need to be doing a duty that were duty as we run from that today. It's like Oh that means I have to do something. Whereas the founding fathers were America used that word over and over and over again especially when talking about citizenship and our ability to live in freedom required some duties as as not huge right. I mean if you think about the founder sacrificed to launch the nation. It was off the charts right. I mean they literally gave their lives in the sacred honor our sacrifice our investment if we go back and what we said earlier to preserve freedom and for our families to enjoy it. It's really really small. I mean we don't have to do that much but we do have to do a little bit if all of us will do a little bit and what I mean by that is a little bit of our life so taking a little bit of time to do exactly what you're doing today to put some focus on what allows for us to be freed homeschool arquette's what what allows for us to be able to go to church on Sunday morning or synagogue on Saturday wherever we're going and worship as we choose what is it that creates that kind of society and allows for that to happen? It does not happen by accident there. There really is a cause for that a formula producing and just the fact that you're highlighting. It says at WanNa know what the formula is. We Wanna be able to teach our kids to be responsible citizens and and to to want to do their responsibility. Not just give me my rights in this in this world. We're in right now. Where frankly we're all feeling a little bit frustrated and and maybe like we. WanNa go protest. A few things that are happening are a lot of things that are happening right now. It's a great time to say. Wait a minute I want to check my heart. From that Biblical worldview perspective. You were talking about having the right attitude here. And the secondly make sure. I've got good grounding. Am I standing on good ground in terms of what I want to protest what I want what? I want to stand for protesting and petitioning government for redress of grievances. Right there in the First Amendment is an important part of our American. Dna. Just being able to stand up. And say I give consider refuse consent to quote from the declaration so this is exciting. I mean I hope the answer to your question. I'm sorry I got on a rabbit trail there but the answer your question. I I should say since we're talking about the constitution. Our hope is not in the constitution. Our hope is not in in the presidential election of two thousand twenty going. Whichever way you're you're for our hope really remains what it always has been. Our Hope is in Christ and our our joy comes not by. You know what's happening around us. Not Not by where we are but whose we are so we can look at the landscape of our society our challenges as parents in raising our children and how we can look at all of that and say you know what there's big challenges but my hope is in Hill and. I know I know that he already sees everything that's going to happen Kobe. Nineteen was not a surprise to him. you know. A A presidential election is never a surprise to him. He sees it all so we can have peace in that and have opened that and I think one of the great things that makes it peaceful for me is being able to look at history step back and look in the context of thousands of years instead of just the last ten or twelve. It'll give you peace. You'll realize there's nothing new under the sun you can see the patterns in history. You can see the principles of liberty when they're used it produces prosperity and freedom and all those things we love and when when it's not at least attorney in darkness and it just. It's so obvious when you really look the history and the reason I say there's hoping that is that there's nothing we're facing as a country or as a community of that there isn't an answer for and yes it always comes back to the Bible. All the answers are right there in the Bible and in our nation you still look to the Bible for the answers we used to say. We're setting up our government based on what the Bible says here in here in here and then you what would feel like a new issue ago. Wow had thought about that one. How do I address that? Well we'd go to the Bible find out. We don't do that as a country anymore as a society but as Bible believers we still can't and the great thing about that that we can find the truth and then take it to society and take it to our communities and that what a wonderful opportunity to be able to use those freedoms. We're GONNA talk about today out of the Constitution to actually bring truth from God's word to actually be a positive influence on our friends and neighbors..

"More minutes with Rick green spirit works. A man who totally was able to change his life around. It took him a while the things look like they're doing pretty well right now. I mean, but how would you how would you assess I know your wife's in the room? But how would you assess your family life today? Rick. Family life right now is good. Yeah. Of course, I'm not the perfect. Perfect father. Nobody is better than I used to be. But it's really good to have a partner that believes. You look at you and respect, you know, that really makes you want to beat the death of the father. You can be well, you pretty much know by now whether they're on a good path not germane is obviously a teenager, right? He's really want twenty one. And Ricky's fifteen on Rick looks dead on at you. How did you meet Stephanie? Actually straight back into the nightcap on seven hundred wwl w Gary Jeff joining us one of our favorite guests of all time forensic psychologist out of Austin, Texas, mainstream mental health dot org. Mainstream mental health radio and psycho dot org. My favorite you are L in the entire universe. The one the only Dr John Huber. How are you? Dr. I am amazing. How are you? Gary, Jeff, particularly, boo. Pickety boo. No idea even what that means. I have no idea either. Ripped from the pages of today's headlines. Sort of I had a question for you. Okay. Let's go, and it's not necessarily political in nature, but it revolves around a politician, particularly the President Trump. All right. And as well as an outspoken supporter of the president and his policies to this date. It baffles me that he's still conducting a feud with a dead, man. Seven months after John McCain's death instead of talking about jobs. He's in Ohio. Campaign fundraiser in canton, spoke at a manufacturing plant in Lima. And the jobs have returned the manufacturing jobs the economy, the optimism under President Trump has been almost unprecedented. And yet he's continuing this feud with a with a dead. What's most people consider a American hero for the for the service to his country is this common? How often is this in everyday life? Where people even when someone dies the resentment lingers on and they continue a feud with someone who can no longer respond. What's that all about? Well, you know, that that is about somehow, they they want, you know, because the other person is just not there anymore, and it goes back to you know, when I work with my patients, I talked to them about forgiving somebody who's done something bad to them. And it's not for the other person for them to get on with their life. I talk about this all the. Personally. And this is this is one of my thing is my big thing is forgiveness because it does absolutely nothing to the other person living or dead because if they really have done you wrong. They don't care. Exactly that is absolutely correct. And all your allowing that person to continue to control, your emotions, your attitude, and essentially what you do every day at that point. So do you really want to give that up to the other person? So if you feel like somehow because you are alive, you wine, and you're still fest three over that the truth is the dead person one, and they're they're showing everyday by your accent? And the better the fact especially in the president's case people look at it, and it goes beyond petty in their minds to do you have to be a total narcissist to be president United States of America. Well, I think that is definitely a benefit. And and you know, I I looked at this. Almost two years ago. Started looking at all the past presidents, and every one of them has significant narcissistic traits and tendencies, I haven't assessed any of them I have not assessed Donald Trump, but the behaviors the way their mannerisms are all significant and very normal for someone with narcissistic. Personality types that are extremely strong narcissism. Definitely you've been very busy lately. I know you were in New York last week. Absolutely. Can we can we talk about that? Or did. I just talk editor do you know, we can talk a little bit about it. We I have been privileged to have access to the largest collection serial killer memorabilia on the planet. It includes things like hair from this head of Ted bundy's denied of his execution. Did you get to take this home with you? Do you get to take any this home with you know? No, I now officially have access to it. And I'm the only psychologists in the United States that has access to it at this point. And we actually started filming a pilot to try and see if we can get this thing. Aired and share this information with the rest of the world. So we're we're quite excited about that. Oh, I'm sure it's amazing. You know, twenty plus years of letters and memorabilia from living serial killers who've been incarcerated I'm going to hold the name at this moment. But let's just say everybody will know who they are. There's there's everybody every one of them is notorious and made the national headlines multiple times. It's it's just overwhelming on. I'm kind of in a in a daze. I just got back from from New York last night. Actually now, I'm sitting on the beach on a dock off the coast of Texas. Very smart. You know, and trying to kind of orbital and all the films in the editing room right now. So I'm open they're doing a good job. You can't you could talk about Ted bundy's here, you can't talk about the rest of it. Oh, right at this point. Because you know, obviously, we're we're trying to position ourselves to market this, right? And get the attention it deserves. But you know, we've got I've got hair from Manson. I've got. What is a Susan Smith who drowned her kids and that in the wake of memorabilia from her I got to meet with some of John Wayne gates? He's people, of course, he's not here anymore. Right. You know what? John, John, Wayne gase? John Wayne gase isn't here anymore. We'll go back to the top of our conversation. I'm still carrying a feud against him. Just because I hate all clowns. Well, I'm actually wearing a penny wise. Hoodie right now because I'm right there with ya. But, but you know, what is amazing? Remember the guy on PBS who caught everybody how to paint with the big fro? Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That is that John Wayne, God is home study program and learned in prison how to paint and that how he painted all those clowns and stuff using that Tomase. And I've actually got some of his original paintings that look like a three year old versus the ones later on after he learned how to paint from that program talking to Dr John Huber on the nightcap on seven hundred wwl w you mentioned Susan Smith the woman who drowned her kid. Yes. Today. There was information released that there is a new trial drug that has been more successful dealing with post pardom depression in women who were previously pregnant. It's just amazing the results that they've seen so far from this. Yeah. And and is that decision Smith would you describe that as like the worst case of postpartum depression ever? Well, simplified yet. Yes. I would have to say that simplify exactly so what does that what does that stem from me, not being a woman me never having been pregnant me not being allowed to have children. What is the postpartum, depression and think about it, you know, during during pregnancy, a woman hormone system just starts going rampant, and it's significantly different than it. But it's a slow gradual thing over nine months, and then so you've got these extreme green, hormonal changes and the date of babies born and everything is is pass out of the system it stops producing those hormones instantly. Right. And and the body goes into shock, and it takes it sometime sometimes over a year to start regulating itself like it was previously. So those hormones. Control, everything from body temperature blood sugar level emotion. And it's very dramatic. And it is a shock to assist. And now, we wonder happened another other mammal than what we know is and people are gonna find this disturbing is no it doesn't. And why doesn't it do that? Because they eat their after birth, and that's full of all those hormones, and we've actually done studies in Sweden and the Netherlands were they taken after birth freeze dried make Pap without of it. And it had the woman take the capital over a period of two to three weeks and believe it or not one hundred percent of them. None of them had postpartum depression. So we can fix the problem, but it would be so the the whole idea of the whole idea of eating the placenta. Is not maybe just of physically helpful. But it's psychologically helpful. Well. As far as regulating the hormones, and how those affected I think for a lot of people. It would be very very difficult to go through that process. I would think so. So to say, it's psychologically helpful. Not because of the act of because of what it does with with the hormone replacement and all that kind of stuff in human males as they age our levels of testosterone, go down. We know. This is physiological fact so do men suffer from post part of testosterone depression. Well, it it actually, you know, it tends to happen. What we see is believe it or not, you know, if you have too much testosterone, you get very angry if he has two little tests throat pasta-roni also start being very angry and part of that is cultural because we've trained ourselves and not be depressed. We get anger instead of depress because angry is an acceptable. Nell emotion. So we're not feeling good feeling down. And we just take it out on everybody. So there's there's a lot of this. So Nansen the cycle daily. You know, our our testosterone level peaks in the morning and gradually shifts over over the daytime that's why that's why I wake up that way. Exactly that is exactly why you wake up that way. Okay. And by evening, the test levels have dropped you actually can sleep more effectively. And and then you wake up recharge. Literally and physically I had no idea. From wetting the bed. Well, and I always attributed to maybe some dream head. But now, I know I'm peaking. Now, you know, the rest of the story. Somebody. What's the psychology of I'll tell you the truth? I've not had a real vacation where I went away for an extended period of time. And when I went it was August of nine so I'm going on ten years without a real vacation. I can afford money to save up for my wife, and I to go somewhere, but I can't take the time off because I have no PTO whatsoever. So what does that do to a person? And I went in August of oh nine I went to visit my brother in Jupiter, Florida. It was very nice. He lived right on the water way. Got to bring the CD in the sunshine. We're going out to the ocean. Just going through the the demand groves swamps and stuff beautiful..
