"He's going to have locker room problems. I mean i hope not everybody. That said anything about it on the raiders. Jon gruden mark davis nearby has been said all the right things you know. I'm sure there's some dumb asses on writers not saying much richie incognito on the writers he was the one no. Yeah but let's bobby said he gets fifty to one odds that him. And richie incognito ended up getting married routine cognate this is getting to the wage richie. Incognito says he did all that. Wow that for people don't know he was in florida. He was like bullying and stuff and it was homophobic bullying bags and stuff like that. Like he sars horror he was. He did a lot crazier shit than that. His dad died and he broke in his dad's funeral and was trying to like cut his dad's head off to save as a souvenir because he was in so much grief or something like that he was a. Wow yeah incognito. So naturally writers had to get in there like he's a real good ballplayer. He's a hell of a guard damon. And i know it's like here's is such a fan comrades yet linebackers got your dad's skull maintenance from a different perspective from a mental health perspective. Richie incognito was forced to start taking therapy all those years ago when all that shit happened since he got into therapy. Richie incognito has been a model citizen hasn't gotten any shit. Yeah i'm just saying that's a testament to the efficacy of therapies. So i don't think he will. Fuck with carl nasa. Although he probably would have five or six years ago. I also want to say and then i'll shut the fuck up about the raiders. Because carl nasa he was on the browns and then the bucks he could be on any team and all of this deal would have happened. Still i just want to say because we have nothing else to brag about. The writers suck so much that the riders historically arguably the most progressive organization. Nfl and that goes back like fifty years. Ed the first hispanic quarterback first hispanic coach i Black head coach first female front office. Executive to ceo of the writers was a woman for years and years. Amy trask and now the first openly active gay player they got along tracker lack punter to ever say that i had that davis was allows people who cut their heads off. Second chances trying yeah see dude. They're good people you know. Let's get people the people at freshly very you stressed you tired. You.

"No, absolutely not. I was sweating two hours after I have. I have literally no control over what happens. I mean, the last time you took advice for me, it was like when he was 14. So like I have no say in anything that happens on But what would you tell him? Like even though you may not listen, nothing at this point, nothing. I mean, honestly, like when you when you watch them play has such a such a command in the line of scrimmage like him And John is such a good job tonight, saying good job early gives us a different looks kind changed it up because they know that he's gonna audible pretty much every place so But once they got in the groove, it was. It was just amazing to watch because, like on third down like you can say what you want about their offense about how you know it's it's maybe sure or intermediate. They get the ball out of their hand fast. A lot of completions. You know, the yards for attempt has always been a common theme. But since 2016 Tom Brady did this No one has had on their quarterback rating on third down, and then again this year In the first two games, they're explored record on third down 141 Point force. That's like the level playing field. We need seven yards. They're the best in the league of getting that first down, so I just watched you kind of, say, man. I wish I had that kind of command, which had a coach that leaving me like that. I mean offenses line played seller. They lost Richie incognito and shrimp around the sidelines, You know, talked about Michael Thomas not being there, but then they were depleted, and they still ran the ball when they wanted to play physical on defense. It's just fun to watch my watches a fan now, But why is it it feels like the Raiders haven't been all in with your brother in recent years? You know, that's just that's just a Media. It's out there, and that's what's so frustrating with him like he gets in training camp, and he just goes on this rant when he goes and gets chance talking comedian, he says. I'm tired of being disrespected because he feels one thing from the inside. So when Mike and I know when I'm when he's talking to Mike, and when he's talking to John, it's like all in. We're going to fix this thing. We're gonna do it right. You're a quarterback. Everything from the inside is they're completely sold on it. And then on the outside years old, maybe don't go pick up a quarterback. Maybe we'll do this the first time they've had like seven different chances to draft a quarterback in the first round. They haven't done it so and you know, John, he loves quarterbacks, so he's gonna go grab one. If you feel like he needs one. So mean for Derek. That's the frustrating part is what's what's happened on the inside. What's happening? The outside are two completely different things as an analyst. What would concern you if you're a Raider fan with this, too? Well, defensively is thing I've kind of had a concern for for a while. And you watched the first half of that last game. It looks like it was about to be around. Michael Thomas Sweetness is going to be a blowout of me. I'm something they're thinking. Yeah, he's probably right, you know, so they finally turned around places physical football. Jonathan Abrams is interesting because he's kind of a tone setter there. So you watch Taysom Hill ago They put a quarterback He runs his own reed and he gets his head knocked off by Jonathan Don't run that anymore. It almost was, like a little bit of an igniter for that defense to kind of say, Okay, we're just gonna play physical. We're going to fly around. We might make some mistakes will give up someplace, but we can lock it up in the red zone given interception right before half. You just gotta be opportunity. You don't have to be a top 10 defense. If you've got an offense like they're gonna have You don't have to be great. You just gotta get the ball back. Steal it from Drew right before the half. You'll get some points and then just trying to survive at the end of the game. I was upset. They're thinking we're not up. 10. You know, inside two minutes, we don't have a chance. And fortunately, not there up to scores. What do you make of the Drew Brees? Tired arm. Controversy. It's a real thing, because I mean, it's it's just it's it's father time you can't defeat that is as strong and as well as Drew works in the off season. You know, you can't come back that the problem is and here's what I see is his brain is writing checks that your body can't cash. So like the interception that if you run before the half 10 years ago. He drops that ball right over the top tomorrow, and it's probably a first down. It's probably exactly where he wants to go. But I've been there especially gotten throw. Now you go to throw the ball. Your brain says this is what I need to do. This is the kind of you know energy I need to provide here and then it comes up 10 yards short. You're like what happened. It's just part of the game. And he did that. Did that consistently. 1st 1st week did that again against the Raiders. He did a little bit last year. Two. We just kind of didn't really notice little bit. You know, we talked about it a little bit, but It's just one of those things that he's gonna have to just work through. Because it's not. It's not going to get better, you know, but he's he's still sharp. He still knows where to go with the ball. He knows what played and get into me. That's that's not going to go away. If anything is going to get better, you know the more rest, but you know, it's kind of like that you have mentally and physically he's already missed that pees on the way down, so it's going to be a tough thing to watch. I love this. On Monday night, Dan Orlovsky of the Mothership former backup quarterback in the NFL, he tweets out. If Derek Carr won't be aggressive on third and one play action pass with rugs on the field in man coverage, he's never going to be. And then David Carr tweets. Relax, Dan. I just had to and then my wife asked me. Are you fighting with generosity? And I'm like, No, I'm not fighting with me. And he said some dumb thing that I had to come in on because they didn't going off in a corner and do whatever they wanted to. So looks like that play in particular. Like I don't have a chair. I don't have a headset on during the game. You can't tell people this, but it is. It's the third one. You know, you got rugs. He's actually being double. If you watch the end zone is being done by the safety in the corner and witness being guarded by linebacker Now, Witten is this man coverage off the play action. The linebacker steps up for the run, Mrs. It went releases. So the safety of being a smart player says, Well, someone's wide open, so he leaves the middle of the field. Looks like Henry rugs while touchdown there started Let the ball go for the first down, So it's just one of those things that happens. Bang bang, but camera catches at a certain time. They're trying to get Rosenbaum. He took two shots doing later took a shot to win the game that generous down the sideline of Jenkins doesn't grab. You might have a big play there, so They're gonna work him in there. But he's a young guy. It takes a while for young receivers to kind of figure it out, but he's got plenty of ability They'll get going. He's David Carr, the NFL network analyst, former NFL quarterback Thursday night football on the NFL network. It's Dolphins Jaguars. Am I The only person ever pointed out that your brother looks like the lead singer. You know Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day. You have you have pointed that out number, so I know what might be the only guy who ever did that. Does Billie Joe Armstrong think that your brother looks like him. It's the eyeliner, you know that it's the natural islander they wear. Are they both wearing eyeliner? No. Well, doesn't Billy is And I mean I'd love to say like as an older brother. I would absolutely love to say yes, they're wearing island. I can't. I can't be nice to know what he's doing where that's one of those where Came on, and I said, Does anybody ever tell you you look like the guy from Green Day goes?.

"And they might have gotten a bad and they might have gotten a bad I had a bad day with Richie incognito. I think he was battling an Achilles issue. But then he went out of the game with an Achilles issue. I don't know if we have any more clear to you yet. It interrupts your you would, but I think it's more like Achilles tendonitis. Yes, but he's you know, he knows that you're five years old. I've been around a long time around a long time Host dolphins. He was a bully. That's right. Go to that scene when it was bullying. Jonathan, what was Jonathan Martin? Yeah. Jonathan Martin. Jonathan Martin. Yeah, it feels like Does, but it was five or six years ago, just about he was off. He was out of the league for a year He was and he was in Jon Gruden. Gruden pulled him off the scrap heap and changed the bills brought him back. Never the bill, right, really good number made a Pro Bowl, I think right here and then Jon Gruden found him on brought him out to Las Vegas watching at the time it was over Oakland on just change the nature of his offense. Ofwhat you've gotta have a nasty offensive line, especially if you're going to gear on the run. With just a HK If they can gear with their run game, they're they're actually not. They're not bad. The watch. You know some of these teams. They're good. They're just bad. The watch. They're fun to watch this this Raiders squad. They are of us, and there's just something I was thinking this last night. There's just certain teams. That I enjoy watching more than others. It is obviously independent of fantasy or betting, you know, watching the Jets As a fan. There's just certain situations that are forever interesting. And for whatever reason, Listen, don't get me wrong when the When the Raiders really bottomed out, I mean Even your with Dennis Allen. And before that, myriad had coaches failed ramp picks. I mean, JaMarcus Russell. They were there. They weren't very interesting men. But when the Raiders are remotely competitive, and they're way past that now and then you mix in You know, a jubilant, passionate fan base, which eventually is going to be able to present itself again. They're just They have a different popped that different profile than almost every other team in the NFL. Well, their national team beat either. I mean, there's not a ton of the NFL teams that are that are national. I mean, the kid's city chiefs are becoming one because of who their quarterback is M v P and Super Bowl champion and back to back Seasons Super Bowl champion and MVP of the Super Bowl in back to back seasons. So they're becoming one. But there's not a ton of like national teams that people in other parts of the country like and root for on a regular basis. The Raiders, Maybe it was because of the colors of their bad boy attitude, whoever it was back in the seventies and eighties..

"Out Freddie kitchens that came on Sunday the rounds one six and ten in his lone season in Cleveland mean at times and Tim Hasselbeck share this insight on what's needed from the new coach of the Browns I was shocked at the higher initially I think they did it because there was a a good relationship between Baker Mayfield and and Freddie kitchens but that team needs like like they you know they had a better players they need a culture change like they need to completely change the feeling in the building and I believe in order to do that you need somebody who's maybe like one of the best things about them is their ability to be organized yeah my experience was was with Tom Coughlin I was with the giants when he was in nationally hired he was brought in there to change the culture is a that's what he is he's a culture change your kind of person and that's a little bit what you need they just need an adult in the Cleveland they just need someone with maturity and experience and leadership like someone is delegated I think who can relate to players and not fight with them who can handle the media which is been something they struggle with all season to step in there and take the truck because they still have a ton of talent on this team is I I saw the one the more desirable coaching jobs in the NFL for that reason but what's happened with bigger Michael's not something that you see free will you see sophomore slumps but the way in which he regressed going from being one of the most accurate young quarterbacks in the NFL to looking skittish both inside and outside the pocket you know making the wrong decisions to say nothing of some of the you know very is off the field squabbles it's it's really uncommon it's going to take a head I think a very strong hand to get that **** back on course more NFL news dolphins probable cornerback Xavier Howard arrested on a domestic battery charge following an argument with his fiancee police in Davie Florida said the arrest report that the woman was injured as the couple argued over the purchase of a purse raiders guard Richie incognito signing a two year fourteen million dollar extension six point three five in guaranteed money in that deal in Adam gase as he already is talk with running back levy on bell about ways in which they can utilize him better next season an indication they expect to have him on the roster under contract for three more years yes tomorrow do you want honest show tomorrow on a personal venture crucial gaze deferring to GM Joe Douglas meantime not playoffs get started on E. "And the eagles are in so if the eagles lose and the cowboys is which could entirely happen yes if you've been following it all that division that is just dad awful it's awful because there are so many great teams in the NFC there are so many teams that I mean I think the parity at the top the NSC is is fascinating okay so if San Francisco wins there the one seed all right the thirteen and three the other one see if Seattle beat San Francisco they're both twelve and four in Seattle becomes the once you have the hairs the whole time in one of the most difficult places with running back that they pulled off the street from two thousand and eleven yeah essentially the Marshall Islands press conference fantastic twelve seconds twelve second on here in a ball skittles twelve seconds in a bowl the skills in our direction that's it a run through and through a you know what face run through a you know what face and ran over and over and over and over and over all over my favorite was the guy interviewing him like what did he think was gonna come next run through a you know what days and look we said this before you know Diane waste it would die and we used actress the wife of John Lithgow in Footloose shoes in parenthood when she gets very passive aggressive she goes we smoke she goes with mud on fools that's right so they're bringing back a backfield from several yet from a decade ago this the at Seattle's chances are one hundred percent on Russell Wilson shoulders that's it there on his feet brown's feet on his shoulders and what he can do but that is so you got Seattle you've got Sam Cisco and in my opinion you got the saints and we will talk about names who are they worked out Antonio brown because they want to invite craziness into the locker room for no reason whatsoever in my opinion yes I mean they have one of the greatest receivers of all time certainly in terms receptions he's the greatest in a single season also let me say this you know drew Brees injures system which is a bad thing but the team didn't go down there still first place their division and guess what a guy who's got a lot of mileage on those tires gets to rest he does it so so instead of being tired instead of being worn down right now he still has a little gas in the tank right now right when you need him so he rested at the beginning of the season it was kind of like Brady last year or a couple years ago when he had the suspension of four games off and everyone was mad about that and they still went three in one you know yeah and then and then the end of the year he had so why are the scenes working out Antonio brown that is my question yes okay you could argue he's a great receiver and he and he was on there that he'd be their best number to receive us right he's a number two option he's great even though he hasn't played even though the last time we saw him is when he was kicking his girlfriend out of his house or kicking a woman out of his house you have to ask yourself you know this the guy showed up in a hot air balloon this the guy who burned cry robe burned his feet as the guy who the raiders had to get rid of the raiders the raiders like we can't handle this do the raiders like we can handle anything we can handle almost anything we cannot handle you handle our owners bowl hair cut we can handle anything we can handle the black hole we can't handle you we we can handle Richie incognito and we can handle you and Tony around like you're too much for us you're not good for this team so he will in turn around will never be changed but he may be a thing which the US feels weird and it feels like what are you saying is an organization when you say I want to bring this guy on I don't know what you're saying you're saying you're saying we can't have already you're you're in a great position to perhaps win the NFC east high grade you you came last season a bad call kept you out of the Superbowl so that's it they talk about this in the NBA and they certainly talk about in college basketball you want to make sure that your guys have the shot are they taking good looks if the shock doesn't fall that's not your fault that just talk about in golf too you just you trying to make the right play at the right time the saints have the right play called and they just got job by the rest so much so that they changed the rule right the urine saying you can review pass interference in that way the right and ran away but to me that was we won the game they won the game they had the game won and I said this we said this before earlier in the week the saints patriots Super Bowl last year would have been way better than what we saw the garbage that we saw why because the state's defense is in is good it would've been issued out and I watching two offenses go at it instead of it being three zip right instead of a feeling like a World Series game yeah and so now the same exact Dodgers had more scoring Austin high school had more scoring and that was terrible yeah exactly but again so so it's wide open you know just at the top of any in you can't count on I was ready to count out Green Bay just say that they were somewhat of a paper tiger until they went into Minnesota and beat them and beat them badly yeah beat them handily on Monday night so now you're saying okay you got a number of teams in the NFC anybody could take it and I'm excited about anybody except Dallas or the eagle stepping forth and used in your equally as excited about what's going on the ASC exactly because you're like how good are the ravens we're gonna find out when mark Jackson one play away from being out of the game sure and they're gonna see what they can do with the back ups in this last game because he's not going to play Kansas City Chiefs never count them out there have been terrible to begin this year they have a chance to be twelve and four of course the patriots have a shot to be thirteen three always always I take a break so much talk about we're gonna get a the a B. stuff because he's on a list this year hello to yeah buffalo we're gonna talk to you guys because there's a lot we mention you for a reason we're gonna talk about okay Hey Sklar brothers building for Jim Rome were so excited to be here eight hundred sixty six eight six eight six Roman have a take that com or tweet as were at school our brothers we will Myles Garrett's Appeal
"Is additional information on me myles Garrett Mason Rudolph incident that occurred last Thursday and Thursday night football and Josefina. I'll ask you right now just to add what we learned today. Yeah sources telling me and Adam Schefter that myles Garrett made as part of his defense during the appeal hearing yesterday Per what he included in his defense that Mason Rudolph allegedly used a racial slur during the incident. Thursday night. Football as we're watching right here last last week and that he wanted to have this as part of the context as far as what her you know what happened and and that it created a argumentative exchange range during the appeal myles. Garrett had an opportunity to speak at the beginning of the appeal and also at the end. It's also my understanding that hearing officer James Thrash asked him if T- were to have something like this happen again. How we handle it differently? Hypothetically and Mas Garrett said that he wouldn't want this to escalate in this way and given the opportunity he would have tried to walk away. So we're still waiting for the decision for James Strache into basically figure out how this impacts if at all you know the decision from the hearing hearing officer with regards to the length of the suspension which right now is at an indefinite link. Good thank you for adding not myles. Garrett has been suspended indefinitely at the very least the rest of this regular regular Susan. Here is the response of the Pittsburgh steelers mason that is of course. Mason Rudolph vehemently denies the report of being accused of using a racial slur during the incident. Thursday night in Cleveland. St They're spokesman Bert Lawton said on Thursday. He will not discuss this accusation any further and his focus remains on preparation for Sunday's game game against the bengals. We're joined now by Adam schefter again Josefina and Adam reporting this story and Adam again additional information the accusation and the use of a racial slur. Well Wendy let me read to you. If you don't mind a statement that just came in moments ago from Mason Rudolph Attorney Timothy Younger because I feel like this is an important part of the story to get out there right now I'm just calling it up right now. We're getting into this as it's breaking here basically basically he says according to ESPN is appeal. myles Garrett myles Garrett falsely asserted that Mason Rudolph utter a racial slur towards him prior to swing a helmet of Mason's uncovered head in a desperate attempt to mitigate a suspension. This is a lie. This false allegation was never asserted by Garrett in the aftermath method game never suggested prior to the hearing and conspicuously absent in the apology published by the browns and adopted by Garrett then malicious use of this wild and unfounded unfounded. Allegation is an assault on Mason's integrity which is far worse than the physical assault witnessed on Thursday. This is reckless shameful. We will have no further comment that is from Timothy Younger. The attorney for Mason Rudolph when he heard of the allegations here this afternoon. Now the Pittsburgh steelers are out on the practice practice field as we speak and Mason Rudolph was scheduled to speak to the media following the practice session. We'll see whether or not he still does. But obviously we've you've got two versions of the events that have now unfolded at the. NFL appeal for myles Garrett indefinite suspension. We've got myles Garrett alleging that Mason Rudolph said something to him a racial slur that preceded that fight on Thursday night and we have Mason Rudolph strongly deny at least as attorney strongly strongly denying it and ruby up to the NFL to sort through this to determine what is real and what is not Adam Schefter. Thank you again to your point. The steelers have also released a statement saying that Mason denies any use of a racial slur. He did addressed media yesterday. Adam report he would have spoken again today. It appears unlikely. But here is what Mason Rudolph said yesterday definitely didn't say anything escalated it but like I said I do a better job. Keep my composure. And those situations uh-huh unfortunate situation for teams love again. The Information Shen this after noon is that during his defenses appellate hearing myles Garrett alleging Mason Rudolph used a racial slur that precipitated. What happened in that incident Thursday night? Let me just ask it. Simply if that is the case does it change in your mind anything that transpired after the fact no I still think regardless of what was said to you or regardless of you know what said racial slur was said. You still have to conduct yourself in a way that is conducive to others. Yes and not swinging a helmet isn't the way you combat that right swinging a helmet in the heat of the battle isn't the way you combat someone giving you a racial slur in that moment now how I can see where he would take it to that measure. I can understand that but this is the right thing to do. No so it's unfortunate. Obviously that that you know were here at this point in this in in this whole scenario are feels like it's just dragging on and on and on now But if there's racial so did occur. It's tough because there's one wins word against another. There's nobody else that's confirming coming. This is just someone saying it and it's just tough to kind of wrap your mind around all of this because of everything that's transpired up until this point would vick was saying the swinging over helmet and hitting somebody else in the head with that. I think that's where the the biggest issue was in the big shock factor that everyone saw that night. was somebody getting hit with a helmet right right if the helmet was never swung. There isn't the suspension for the rest of the season. I think that's it's pretty simple. So the whole racial thing yes. That's it's a very serious allegation and it's a serious thing thing but at the end of the day it's swinging a helmet at the violence of that is the reason that that he is suspended for length of time that he's suspended for for and just to be clear here one more time. The facts are simply these myles. Garrett has alleged that Mason Rudolph used a racial Slur Mason Rudolph via the steelers and his representation tation has vehemently denied that. And that's really where we stand myles. Garrett has been suspended indefinitely the very least the remainder of the regular season we. I do not know yet the outcome of that appellate hearing and. That's not the only thing that was stated you guys talked about yesterday. The precedent that was mentioned with regards to the Antonio Smith with Vincent with Richie Incognito at instance. You know being different when you're talking about distinguishing whether helmet hit someone on the head and in one incident where that did not happen now when I was talking to sources last night about this trying to say you know well if it's not a complete apples to apples comparison you know. How do you necessarily bring that up? As part of Malls Garrett's defense offense and I was told well players have an expectation for somewhat similar disciplined with regards to somewhat similar instances in my retort back was I could see how the NFL would come back and say well especially now that we're in the age of the NFL putting an emphasis on ahead being hit that they could make that distinction in that. There is where the difference is now with regards to your question to you. Know them and you know how does that. Add to the context of the situation. Obviously Fli myles Garrett should never have used a helmet on Mason Rudolph had that said any racial slur in and of itself is also important and is it's not something that should be tolerated in any workplace during any scenario as well. Well we will continue to follow this again Anderson. Adam schefter reporting that as part of his his defense and his appellate hearing myles Garrett is alleging that Mason Rudolph used a racial slur prior to the incident. That occurred Thursday night. We will have much more on this to come. Ah
Beyond the Helmet Hit: Who is Myles Garrett?
"Myles Garrett delivered enact that will define him for the rest of his. NFL career from now on no matter what he does people will always remember myles Garrett Eric as the guy that could have killed football player on a football field by taking his helmet and swinging it like a weapon. Brown's defensive end myles Garrett has appealed suspension for striking steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph in the head with his own helmet. Who is the player behind that violent image Mitch burned into fans minds? ESPN's Ryan Smith sat down for extensive interviews with Garrett before this fateful season began today today. The story of mild-mannered pass rusher. WHO's now at the center of a football firestorm? It's Thursday November twenty first. I mean this is. ESPN daily presented by Dell small-business yesterday myles myles Garrett went to New York to appeal his suspension. What happened but let's remember this all stems from the game Thursday Night Ryan Smith is a correspondent and legal analyst for ESPN CLEVELAND Browns? Pittsburgh steelers and in the final seconds Mason Rudolph and myles Garrett get into who it and myles Garrett pulls off Mason Rudolph Helmet and hits them with and getting in there was myles Garrett. Ain't took the helmet off off and slammed him on the top of the head. Oh my goodness data and Garett an indefinite suspension at minimum suspended for the rest of the season and the playoffs offs myles Garrett is agent his lawyers they all met in front of an appointed artless common arbitrator for this James Thrash. A person I would hear this case former. NFL Player and presented his case. Any argued from precedent. He basically said that a couple years back. You're a player for the Texans. Antonio Smith swung his helmet at then. Offensive Lineman Richie Incognito for the dolphins and that earned Smith a two game suspension during the preseason and a one game regular season suspension so for Garrett and his people the arguments simple. That's what happened the last time something like this this happened. And that's what should happen for me. Knock a lengthy suspension. I'm getting right now Ryan Myles Garrett. Wasn't the only player involved in the news this today. Mason Rudolph also gave a statement from my involvement. Last week there is no acceptable. Excuse the bottom line is I should have done a better job keeping my composure. In that situation and fall short when I believe it means it'd be a Pittsburgh steeler a member of the NFL. What did you make of that? Here Mason Rudolph is on the day that myles Garrett is having his appeal hearing and he gets up in front of everybody and he apologizes for his. Is Babe you're in this. I found this stunning here. You've got a guy accused of attacking another guy getting lengthy suspension for it and on the day of the hearing the person who arguably I guess you could say has been victimized comes up and talks about his part in it and almost in some ways exonerates the aggressor and in a way showed that. Hey we all had a role in this and nobody should be excused. Everybody has a little bit of blame. I have no ill will towards myles Garrett great respect for his ability as a player and I know this you know if miles could go back you would handle the situation differently Ryan part of the reason I wanted to talk about this story with you is that you spend a lot of time with myles Garrett. You interviewed him for sixty this summer. You got to know him so I was wondering wondering where were you when you first saw the incident. And what was your reaction. I was at home and I was just kind of hanging out flipping through the channels stop by ESPN. And I see something involving myles Garrett and I. It doesn't really compute to me what I'm looking at. But then as I looked closer I realize is exactly what he did. And and I'm hearing the commentary I'm hearing the outrage but the first word that popped in my mind was why I would never ever in any way. Excuse the conduct. It's just an excusable no matter what happened but I spent better couple days with them in our reporting for east sixty and this was a guy who's introverted. This was a guy who in some ways is mild mannered. Heard if you can believe it and this was about as far as anything I would expect from myles Garrett based on the Guy I know what is it that brought him to this point. Well who has the guy you knew. What was it like when you met him? You know what's so interesting. I got to tell you the very first time I met him. He walks downstairs to sit in our interview chair. And he's wearing a queen shirt. He starts talking about Queen loves the group loves. The music is imploring me to go see the movie that kind of is myles Garrett in a nutshell he's exactly nothing like what you would expect from a guy who replays the way he does who appears the way he is his interest are so wide ranging. It was nothing like anything I ever expected. He loves poetry a tree. He's been writing poetry since he was a boy emslie. He walks among the missed unseen. Two most he doesn't exist. He loves COMEX. He's going to comecon this year to attend some events somewhere down the line. I left to go and not to species for. Hey I'm just here to house and finally the costumes. Maybe one day no just myself. He wanted to dress dragon. Ball Z. Character he he loves anime things like that at the beginning of the interview he said to me I was a boy who report Mama for other man to play Publ Myles Myles Garrett. The person is far different from myles Garrett the football player what did you learn about his upbringing. I mean this is a guy who came from a family of athletes so much talent athletically. His mom was an all American American in track. His sister won a national championship. In track is brother played basketball for the nets. And I'm not just talking about average athletes but really really top level athletes another flight. You can do anything like do whatever makes you happy. But you're going to play some sports. He had sort of this. Love hate relationship that that was more hate when it comes to football playing football at that time even though really didn't want to but at that time I really didn't care for bod playing coming back are you can't play vic so played off of the linemen definitely not for me. I played the game and good at it but there was something missing was Kinda and that passion for the game so it was kind of hard to be okay amounts. His First Love was really basketball and at one point when he was in high school athletic director wanted him to play football. so He's a look. You can play basketball as long as you play football. So how does does he go from being a kid who wasn't even sure if he wanted to play the sport to being the number one overall draft pick and it's a really interesting story when he was around around his sophomore year coaches sat him down parents in the room and they sorta gave him an ultimatum. So you're GONNA put your heart in it or you're not what you're gonNA stop waste of People's time laid it all on the line or you can bring your hips almond bus. Sit Down and do I really want this. Do I really WANNA play football. I'm all my life and they say this the get it. No you could be one of the best. It could be the best player in the nation. This guy is a competitor like he wants. That's to win. And I think when he heard that that it could be the best in the country that SORTA gave him permission to sort of go after people to be the aggressive to be fiery on the field. It wasn't about hurting people. It was about showing people that he is the best that he can be the best best and from then on his play chains really started piling up sack numbers by midway through his senior year. Now you got scores scouts else coming in to see him and as he says. Nick Sabin

"Not terrible but Richie incognito a suspended for a couple games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy this all stems from Richie incognito pick up a couple misdemeanors in April after an incident involving his ninety year old grandmother nice he I got mad start punching holes in the walls and started acting very not like his last name he was making amps spectacle out of himself this report described incognito is enraged because he said he blamed his grandmother for the death of his father this is just like this is get into an area that so personal loan as borderline Shakespearean I tell you very much so align Shakespearean I see so hang I is like going to grandma's steroids he looks like a three hundred fifty pound from man very big get angry on me talk about some of the villains in the NFL he's one of us no doubt on the same team

"You, you did it the right way. Hey you through to bonds? If I can win. And I don't have to throw to bonds, then I'll probably do that, mclovin. It's a lot like black people in Hackensack or hack deandre Jordan. No. But, you know how you prevent that. You know how you stop that when you make all your free throws. And if the other guys start making their shots Toronto won't be running that Janki defense. Yeah, pulling I thought the hacker shack, or whatever it was was way. More Bush league than a box one defense boxing, when defense they're going to do in a specialized situation. They used to hack a shack all the time and it was the game, stop being basketball, and it became the slowdown mess that was that was embarrassed. Yeah, but I put that on the NBA because guess what they should have done is, that's an intentional foul two free throws and that team still gets the ball back. Then you could have changed the whole hack shack. All right. We'll come up with a poll question poll question. Brought to you by man versus food on cooking channel. I mentioned Charles Berkeley will join us coming up in a little bit. We'll hear from Baker Mayfield. About his relationship with Odell Beckham because it's that time of the year, you know, the NFL wants to be a twelve month sport. And they've done a pretty good job, there's probably like one month out of the twelve that maybe you don't have the headlines, but you're still getting some headlines with lay beyond bell talking about his relationship with the jets Baker Mayfield talking about trusting Odell Beckham junior raiders going out and signing. Richie incognito. You got contract situations with the Cowboys. They're stuff that is there, just about every day and typically training camp at time for that blind optimism in the NFL and since the off season has exploded in popularity we now moved our timeline up now mandatory minicamp is really time to start thinking about and could our team. Be good and the Browns fans I keep trying to tell them to temper their expectations here because I got to see a lot of things before I go all in on the Cleveland Browns. I think we want the Browns to succeed. I think we want them to be a story. They're going to be a story one way or another, but star showing up, you know, just for many camp OTA's. That's a big deal Baker Mayfield. Throwing a touchdown to Odal Beckham junior in practice, the whole towns buzzing here, you know, Tom Brady reported, I saw where the Boston Herald was saying he looks great. Okay..

"I thought, wow. This is terrible. And then I figured out now just this really really boring Rams team. And they put him on all or nothing to the Amazon video show. So they like to kind of hype up they team moving to new market. So, I think they prefer the raiders on next year when they're moving along Vegas. We don't wanna see our GS eight on Mondays perfect and grooten and this entire circus that has become the Oakland Raiders, as long as they give perfect and Richie incognito, pay per view, or something like that. Then I'm cool. They put the giants whoever on hard knocks. I just need to see perfect incognito. Yeah. I. The onto them having just knocked down drag out for in practice, or just off the board. I mean he can't even it's going to happen. These guys are pretty much insane. And I say that I probably shouldn't be too light about that. Because Richie incognito case, I think we've all had questions about his mental wellbeing. Sure, look, honestly, I the raiders win about the graph. And after the draft, they said, we want certain guys, the reason we took clo- feral were we did and Josh ups Abram. They said, we want certain guys guys who are just lot rock-solid in the locker room and all that. And that, okay. That makes sense. Perfect and Richie incognito. Perfect thirtieth player in NFL history. I think and Richie incognito who did not read any reports like the raiders out the internet marketing paying for the WI fi. Like how could you read all that stuff? Richie incognito in the past. Well, thirteen fourteen months and say we want a locker room. Let's do that. He's thirty six white will that off. I just I have no idea. The writers twin to be honest. It's just really, really straights. Especially with the cognitive signing. Yeah. No question about it. Frank Schwab covers the NFL for Yahoo sports. CBS sports radio. You got a piece out today. One big headlines. Rob gronkowski is talked publicly about being retired. And of course, anytime Krung speaks now Frank. Comeback speculation is is going to is going to abound. And I know he of put that to rest for now today. I don't know if you were an oddsmaker, what would you put the odds of gronkowski coming back and playing football. Again, at some point. Great, but they're, they're higher than are usually. I mean every time we get sick of it, every time we have a guy retire, now it's like oh, he's obviously coming back Tony Romo. Somebody wrote one hundred percent chance. Twenty romo's coming back. Comebacks. Sports. You know. Guys, don't come back once they retire. But in crocs case, you know, you can at least tell yourself a story, he's not that old. He's going to feel pretty bad news anyway. Come November December. He hasn't been through training camp and hit for twelve eighty three as he is that the safety going on him and all that. Payers are going to be good. And he could probably, you know, he loves football like you could at least tell yourself a story that I don't know if he's going to do it. I probably say no. Because, you know, retired kind of retired know you don't wanna retired for reasons that are going to be still a place with the patriots ask him. Hey, come back. This is more realistic than the other ones. We've heard I think this is. I said, at least you tell yourself a story, here's the path to rob gronkowski feeling like hey. Yeah. Let me let me get football another world. Let's play December. And then, you know, I'll be amped up and ready for the time the playoffs come around. So I don't think there's zero percent chance, although I I'm not sure it's around fifty or anything like that. What do you think? The impact is New England of no rob gronkowski. It's as put this the patriots one without rob gronkowski before. I mean they the beat the falcons, I think that was your he played sixteen. Crop wasn't grown. It was you know, he had a Super Bowl made a huge catch, and you could say that was impacting, that's fine. I love Rockies to me. The most dominant tight end up ever seen. But he's not one of those while they can't win what rob gronkowski deals. They've done that they've won without him. He wasn't cronk last year. We we all watched him. He was kinda show themself. So yes, there's obviously an impact when you lose a whole player like that. But I don't really think that it's something they can't win without they've done this before. We've seen the patriots just kinda they just had this, this assembly line of is just hey here next up and he's gonna end up making an impact, so I don't know necessarily from the tight end position. But they'll get it from other places, and be just fine. You can't replace a crock. But at the same time we've seen the patriots just fine without him being, you know, the dominant force we've seen in the past. Yeah. Good point. Frank Schwab covers the NFL for Yahoo sports on CBS sports radio. Gerald McCoy where do you think he winds up? I don't know. I want to go to Cleveland just because I just wanna see the Cleveland Browns, right? Be all in it just. Absolutely. You're going to have. I read somewhere that if McCoy signs are, they're gonna have four Pro Bowl defense of linemen, the first time since the seventies team has done that. And I just wanna kinda see this experiment happen. I I really see. No read on the situation though. I don't think one team really would have a lead. The problems have to appeal at some point if you really wanna be on a contender. And that's a weird thing to say out loud, that, hey free agent acts wants to go to a contender should go to the Cleveland browse. Like I would have been saying that few months ago. But I just wanna see the Brown to be the team. I I'm so excited for the browse interested to see what they do this year. I think the most fascinating team in the NFL right now. Just hopeful that quite excellent. Are you? I agree with you on the degree to which they are fascinating. I you know, maybe they're getting pushed to the forefront of teams that can they can contend for Super Bowl little early. We'll we'll see where are you on that scale? Do you feel like they're gonna live up to this hype? I honestly don't I think it'd be better. I don't think they're going to be a Super Bowl contender. I think I think AFC north things house. Right. But it's still division. I'm not pouring dirt on the Pittsburgh Steelers yet we've seen Baltimore Ravens the really, really tough out the acts and, and so I think a win the division. I'm not sure yet Super Bowl champs, and the big question, look, we, we've all seen the talent and they do questions on line one. But I think clearly a question is head coach who has a midseason last year? Never call the play in the NFL. This has been a meteoric rise for kitchens, and he did a cry Rachel. Don't get me wrong. He did everything you want from an office coordinator last year and a half the season. But if there's one. Same, where I'm like, I just can't totally by in yet. It's the idea of kitchens. Who I we, we really don't know much about at all seen this, like Super Bowl type coach. I, I maybe he might be you know trauma. They two point. Oh for all I know. But that's a huge unknown going into a season, especially when you have a lot of ecosystem well, in, in along those lines Frank Beckham junior didn't do any favors by not coming OTA's in my mind that would have been one of those things that I'm a big believer that Beckham in Levy on bell with the jets. Both should've shown of just because you're a new teams in new offenses cinema. Sal all in you are on that situation. But specific Beckham you know, this is something now, this is an issue now, we're not even we're just in the beginning of June. And this is already something that Freddie kitchens has had to answer questions about. Yeah. I you know what I I try to side of the players on a whole voluntary thing, as Terry, that's written in the CPA, then I'll voluntary. And whatever. But I do agree with you. I do. Because in these specific situations. These are big named guys these big money guys, these guys who you want them to show up and set the tone. You I look at that Bill in incredible shape, you know, back in incredible shape. It's not that it's not it's not that these guys are giving their all they're not sitting on a couch price. Right. Or anything we, we all know that. But would you like to seal Bacopa catch passes from Baker Mayfield to, yeah? You would and he'll be there for mandatory stuff. But you kind of want that guy brand new in a city brand new team brand new teammates to kinda tell everybody. Yeah. Hey, I'm here. I ready I've all in. I'm committed to this thing. It's not a great message when he's sitting out even if he's in great shape even if he's studying to play with every single night. Yeah. I do agree. You want these guys to be there. I think that there's a point you know. Hey, you're new here. You wanna make a good. I depression. Yeah. You don't have to come. It is well -tary, but you should be there making that first oppression. No doubt. Frank Schwab yahu sports joining me on CBS sports radio. Frank last one before I let you go, you can't say Cleveland is the answer for this one. We know that there is turnover. Every year with respect to the twelve teams make the postseason non Brown's answer, but which non playoff team, if you had to bet on one, which non playoff team from last year you betting makes the postseason this year. I think the Packers I mean that's kind of easy. Big revelation. Oh my goodness. Green Bay Packers. But if we buy into the notion of Mike McCarthy was holding them back. Okay. Well, how he's on, and I'm not sold on that floor. But hey we assume. That's an upgrade. I had a great great off season. They added a lot that pass a lot of their toys out the quarterback. And one of them is just hey, here's some here receivers. Here's new and we've seen that happen before is. Hey, we're gonna make sure you don't have thirty eight points. We're, we're gonna put together a defense that's going to be competitive. I don't think the, the Packers defense or anything, but I think are a lot better on that side of the ball. If we assume a coaching upgrade, just because McCarthy, you know that type of kind of run out on him. I think Rogers also has something to prove I think that he has a lot. He always carries us on the shoulders. We all know that we all know what time and where it comes up with his motivation. I think Aaron Rodgers lots of show the world, it wasn't me. I, I was right about Mike McCarthy things I think. Roger's ucs. And a lot better bears. Maybe fall back to the pack a little bit..

"The rocket mortgage by Quicken Loans studios in Houston, Texas, in good to talk to you, wherever you may be around the country is gained to the NBA finals continues in the background of, of the show here on the backdrop of the that's right. I'm putting my show ahead of game to the NBA finals, the world is listening to this. And in the background game to the NBA finals is going on. I will say this as someone who has the game on here in the studio. And if someone who picked Golden State to win game, too, I picked Toronto to win the series and seven but I picked Golden State to win game two. Just because I just had a hard time envisioning the warriors even without Kevin Durant, even with a hobbled. Andrea Igwe Iguodala. Even with DeMarcus cousins that, that looks like he he went on some sort of Donut eating binge before this. Series began even with all that. I just had a hard time envisioning the Golden State Warriors going down to nothing in this series in the NBA finals. It's gut check time right now. And there's an early gut check on right now for the Golden State Warriors, and as you sit here watching them have to have to Jonas. Jared co out there for minutes Quinn cook. I mean poor boogie cousins he started the game. But he looks like he's ready to pass out any minute. He is heavy man. He looks like a gigantic fat bull in China shop. What he's out there. He's doing spin dribbles at the top of the key. He's doing spindles at the top of the key like it's warm ups any forgot that there were defensive players on the floor. He's actually getting a few calls like he's getting to the line. If you could imagine an elephant dribbling a basketball, that's what boogie cousins looks like when he's handling the ball at the top of the key. He's usually a pretty guy who you don't mind big, you don't mind having the ball in his hands outside of the paint. He's a smart player. But boy, he just looks he looks beat up bam. But the warriors are in a bit of a desperation mode right now. They're down forty four thirty five with five and a half minutes to go in the first half. So we'll, we'll keep an eye on things. If you want to get in eight five five, two one two four CBS, the, the number to get in eight five five, two one two four two two seven to get him. We're gonna talk some NFL football a little later on this hour with Frank Schwab of Yahoo sports, and he had a little. Louis earlier this week about Richie incognito signing with the Oakland Raiders Richie, incognito who has had multiple bridges burn at various times throughout his NFL career, most notably. The bullying situation with dolphins that got him suspended a few years ago with Jonathan Martin. Retiring from the bills and then trying to retire stories of him throwing dumbbells at a gym stories of him getting high handed with people who ran a funeral home where his dad's funeral was being held me. He got kind of high handed with the help because he wanted to basically wanted to do what Ted Williams family didn't cut off his dad's head to save it for research, or some other odd reason, he's an Oakland raider now Richie incognito involved says perfect are in the same training camp. And there is a chance that this training camp. Could be the subject of hard knocks. In two thousand nineteen there are five teams. Cannot say no to the NFL in NFL films. If hard knocks comes calling the raiders are one of them. The other four trying to remember the other four in my mind, I'm going to sit even matter is there any other team that's remotely close to the training camp. Intrigue of Jon Gruden Antonio Brown. Richie incognito. Von tez. Bertha ct. And what other would whatever other recyclables are left on the side of the road by other NFL teams at Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden decide to pick up. I'm doing this off the top of my head. But I want to say Redskins giants lions and forty Niners or the other four teams that contractually cannot say no to hard knocks. There's some stipulations in place. If you've made the playoffs in the last couple of years, if you have a new head coach if you've already been on hard knocks like new head coach, meaning you just hired a new head coaches off season. Then you then you are allowed to say no. If the league comes knocking the good news for all of us, who enjoy good TV is the Oakland Raiders are not one of the teams that can say no if HBO comes knocking. But Richie incognito is in raider camp. Mike max response to that. Hey, not all these guys can be boy scouts, we'll know. But like Richie incognito is like a card, carrying coup command like he's, he's unbalanced. And I'm not sure I'm not sure he's all that good at football anymore. But raiders going to raider right? I eight five five two four CBS I put the put the bat signal out to Canada earlier in the show if your candidate and you're listening right now and you want to chime in, we're going to have time to the game coming up here fairly soon. So that's always a good time to check in my question to Canada was are the Toronto. Raptors candidates team is Canada rooting for the Toronto Raptors in these NBA finals. I think I can safely say that a lot of the United States is rooting for the Toronto Raptors because I think most people outside of Oakland in the bay area are tired of Golden State. Brooding for the Golden State Warriors rooting for the IRS at this point. I mean, bright death taxes in the Golden State Warriors what it's been the last four years, other than LeBron breaking through in two thousand sixteen and what did that lead to in Libya, Kevin Durant going to Golden State, and they created a nuclear weapon for the next three years? At this point Toronto needs to get her. I'm sorry. Golden State needs to get Katy back. I don't even mean in game three like they need him too. They, they need Mr. Miyake to come out of the crowd like karate kid, go get Kevin Durant in a training room in the back and do that deal, where rubs his hands together and starts massaging. Kevin Durant Catholic Daniel San's knee in the first karate kid movie, like they need Kevin Durant. Like now like in the second half of this game down forty seven to thirty five. Golden State is Steph curry is last. I checked goose egg from the field in this game. So we, we shall see, but it's a it's dicey right now. Man, got check time for the for the Golden State Warriors for the three time NBA champs. Eight five five two one two four CBS, if you wanna get up to Minnesota talk to Jake Jake, you are go. Jake your first up this hour, Jake welcome into CBS sports radio. How're you doing? Thank you. Yeah. Fire away buddy. So I. Bring it back to the whole incognito situation out in Oakland. I don't wanna make this a political. I don't want to make political commentary on this, but that, that hypocrisy he dot com. Tapper, Nick could have been shunned from this league for taking a neater in the national anthem. But now you've got NATO on a team. That's extremely diverse you that dies from all different walks of life on this team. But this is a guy who has been openly, homophobic, and racist and just he done crazy. And it's just like blunt Crecy that, like I don't even know how to describe it. That's just my two cents, though. Appreciate the phone call Jake. It's a fair point. Is there a chance, Colin Kaepernick could be better at his job than Richie incognito is at his job? And his is Colin Kaepernick, probably a better human being than Richie incognito. Hell, yes. All of those things. And I'm not gonna say at this point that capper Knicks camper Nick's inability to get a job in the NFL does not have a political tinges to it. But I also think there's a part of it now to where it's been it's I mean it's we're coming up on the third season. The Colin Kaepernick will have been gone from playing football. It does reach a point where you're just you're out of the game for so long that whether the reasons he was out of the game for two years, where political or injuries or he just decided to step away. Whatever the case may be especially at that position. Then it's almost crossed over to where if you're an NFL team, it's thinking about Colin Kaepernick that you just wonder if he if he can play at the same level now. That's what training camp is for would be the counterpoint to that. Okay. But when he was playing he was clearly good enough to be one of the maybe not one of the thirty two best quarterbacks in the league because I do think there's some revisionist history that goes on with just exactly how good a player capper Nick was when, when his career ended back in two thousand sixteen and into twenty seventeen like he, he was a he was a mediocre. Quarterback for a really bad. San Francisco team. So let's not get that twisted. Let's not act like the capture Nick that was playing at the very end is the cap. That was getting two consecutive NFC title games and came within a play of winning Super Bowl that capper Nick left in twenty fourteen. But as he better, honestly do I feel like if you pull them off the street right now he'd better than I don't know like ten or fifteen of the backups in the league probably? And this just in the quarterback position not very well stocked in the NFL these days. So I get what you're saying. I understand it's one of those things like for me at least just to be clear. I'm somebody in twenty seventeen in October twenty seventy you can look it up. You can Google it. I wrote it for the Houston press during Sean Watson's rookie year. I said the Texans should sign Colin Kaepernick to be his backup when to Shawn Watson was in the middle of that six game stretch. His rookie year where he was dynamite. I said signed Colin Kaepernick, a backup who at least plays a, you can at least run a similar playbook to what the Texans were running back, then they weren't running Bill O'Brien's playbook back in two thousand seventeen with Sean completely Sean came in. Here's a rookie. So they were running a lot of the same stuff that to Sean ran at Clemson, just a lot read option stuff, a lot of stuff that used his lettuces them. I think capper Nick would have been would have been pretty good running some of that stuff. So I am somebody who has said that the team that I cover here I do pre imposed for the Texans on their flagship..

"And, and so, yeah, I it really helps to the recruiting piece of it and the kids, we have in the program now or kids, that we're recruiting at that point in fifteen sixteen. We hosted the original Nelson, orange fifteen and then you know, the World Series and sixteen and these are the guys that side to be gouge us around that time and, and we, we had, you know, high high profile recruiting class that maybe underperformed the last two years. But it's finally kind of gone from being guys that were projectable guys together performers. And so it helps definitely from a recruiting standpoint, and then, you know, we're always, we're always working on the fundraising piece to make the program better. And it helps that standpoint as well. Hey, Travis that would that be your the way of played in the NFL for eleven? Would that be a sad skipper, when you go to Omaha will you be bringing Travis to do that pre-game speech? Absolutely. He was he got on the radio on TV on Saturday, and then brought home that championship. We're struggling with I two days when did a little bit him back there. So we'll we'll get we'll same spot on the bus. It might be on the top of the roof but we'll save the spot. I'll take it. I'll take it on the roof on the wing. Whatever it is, as long as we're going back to Omaha. The gauchos open up their regional play tomorrow night, president state in the Palo Alto regional Andrew check when the big west for the first time in thirty three years, the Gouges did he's their head coach like I've told you a couple of times privately, I'll say it publicly as well. Andrew, you've made gauchos very, very proud. We don't have a ton of athletic success there. And you have brought this to the World Series a few years ago, and we're all very excited to get a chance to go back. Thanks for coming on. Thanks for having me on people are still fired up about Richie incognito key. Yeah. Well, I mean. On both sides, by the way. It's I don't understand what the other side is other than a money play because Richie incognito is going gonna play for the raiders. He just plead guilty to a couple of misdemeanors involving basically terrorizing his own grandmother. Oh, be to laugh. I mean, she got to be really crazy to terrorize. Oh, grab like something's really wrong with you heat. Right. He is there is something really wrong with him. I mean, and it's this is not the first thing that Richie incognito has been involved with Richie incognito. We know about what happened in Miami with Jonathan Martin. He got run out of the Saint Louis Rams. He got run out of the university of Oregon. He got run out of Nebraska that everywhere. Richie incognito goes, it ends bad. And now right after they sign him. He pleads guilty to two misdemeanors criminal damage and disorderly conduct. And that's because he punched a fist sized hole in a wall in the living room and ripped a home security systems. Control box off the wall during an argument with his grandmother. I mean, this is nine p we all get mad, but not with our grandmothers, you don't know anybody, and neither do I then don't like they grandmother. Do you know anybody that toll like the grandmother? I love my grandma, like you would take a chance on going to jail for your grandmother, Richie come all the other way around bust holes in her wall, like come on seriously..

"To classes in, in live, your life, Adam silver Commissioner Adam sewage on get up this morning and talked about this conversation. And one of the things he stress was that of all the countries to try to do this in. Australia is a good one because of the way. Players. What are you talking about his doing Australian but it was was wasn't a club. Plus, I don't mean to cut you off even though he disrespected you until you plus it's a it's a good country. He's not like stuck in some, some wear. You gotta win. None of that sort of stuff this speaking English over there. But you can tell from Adam silver's comments, though, there, there's a much longer a quote, here that you can expect the G league to respond to this, because this is just the beginning and Adamson was a very, very bright guy. He knows that if he's not careful this has become the new pipeline. He weren't rather have that money standard NBA. They go to Australia and other countries like that. All right back to the NFL the raiders, they did it. They signed Richie incognito whose football for an entire season. Richie incognito joining the raiders take it or shake it shake ya. Shake it. Seems right raiders incognito vaunt as Bertha CT Antonio Brown. It's got a whole bunch of guys vote bunch of problems on the same with the head coach allies in what could possibly go wrong. I mean like seriously like this do he has more lives in a cat Ritchie cognitive. Oh. Is he that good of a football player key that they keep bringing them in? I, maybe they think so I mean he's a good guard. He's a physical. He's physical at the point of these crazy clearly. And I'm not dealing with somebody who's crazy raiders are. I'm not I'm good. But I always will remember coach once told me, okay if Charles Manson could play football. They get him out of jail and signing. That's just what these coaches do just what they do a funeral home. And did die. I mean yeah. Not Charles, he went to a funeral home with guns and threatened to shoot up the place. Right. He's a raider now. He's, he's a football player now. Right. So Mr. NFL, Mr. Roger Goodell. This is what you're still letting in your lead. This is why you know what I'm surprised of them surprised. They just didn't suspend him outright ban in from the NFL, maybe there's some legal ramifications that they just did it. No, I'm not surprised that they didn't log a call in to the raiders, and be able to say, don't do this. Jail. They don't. Well, that's another. We should be in jail fine. But if he's not in jail if he's an eligible player we've seen it with Kareem hunt..

So we saved you take the rest of the day off. And by taking the day off, I mean never tweeted me ever again. Like a block you because I don't I don't care just don't just stop. I wanna talk about Richie incognito going to the raiders very rate or like move go. What they've done this off season and then they explanation for to you, more bizarre. That's coming up later on the smack off profile. Mark in Hollywood is coming up, but we are no longer efforting the eagle has landed. We are joined right now by linebacker for the Buffalo Bills. He is time. Pro bowler, a Walter Payton man of the year nominee in both twenty seventeen and twenty eighteen coming up another big year six now sacks to force fumbles a career high nine passes defense to intercept last season. He was undrafted out a cow way back in two thousand five buffalo opens up against the jets on September eighth. You know that's the CBS game Lorenzo, Alexandra by guests, the Renzo. It's great to have you back. How are you? Great. Oh man. I'm doing great. It's great to have you on, listen. You've done before you have done this before. So you've got ta let me start right there because you've been through so many of these things. How do you approach them? Are you hyped up or it's just a grind something? You just have get through. I don't think I'm hyped up or dry for me. Great. Because I don't really care how long you played this game after taking a couple of months off, you know, Jay where we just getting back into work in March. Your, your skill set your to the rusty. So I really just to get back in shape from a football fan point, you know, working on my foot work work. Oh my progression. It really taking my understanding of our football game to another level. Make plays and other plays that see that's me. It's really interesting. You're talking about and this is why you're still where you are. The fact that you've got all these tiny details and technique. They start to get a little bit rusty when you take some time wave from the game. Like where did that mentality come from the importance of every single detail? Every rap even in may where did that come from it really came from being around great players that came before me? Guys like their London. Fletcher, Chris average that I play last and all those guys my mind are leading the whole they've got players watch how they work, even with great success and great talent. They always pay the details at a little thing because they understood that's what got him to where they were. They were at in a moment. The really helped him overcome when they may not be playing that well so building relationships those guys watching, how they worked, I definitely want to adopt it because it had for them smart Lorenzo Alexander. Joining us I mentioned before you came on this lot optimistic about if you're in buffalo, the team brought in a number of guys in the off season both is front through the draft. So how do you go about getting everybody on the same page as quickly as possible, and making sure that all the pieces fit in the chemistry works? What is four? I think shonda the great job as far as culture, sitting up at five where we kind of force that guys hanging out, guys get together. Because that's one of the biggest things that people take for granted if the chemistry. And understanding of each other out on the football here because we always talk about, you know, the NFL is, is a compliment saying together along and a lot of people go wrong ups and downs and doing awesome. Pretty love respect. They come together through different team kitties. Competing on the field. Oh today's game stuff too. But I think it's a whole whole off season of geared towards getting each other because that's the biggest thing I mean, we've had like thirty new God easily Ross. I think it's only four guys left on his team when I came here sixteen that's the nature of the NFL. So how do we get those guys caught up? How do we get those on the same page, and it's really goes down to how schon organized off season things that he sets up kind of brings closer together. Lorenzo Alexander is back here in the jungle. You know when you talk about the NFL being a group of men staying together as long as they possibly can and the culture. The fact is the NFL locker room is really unlike any other place like if guys if there's somebody or somebody's that do not fit in, they don't buy in. They're not doing the work. We're supposed to be doing what happens to those guys. I mean, well here I mean we know whether they've got traded or released like I said, you know, it's only four guys left sixteen and someone. Guys like he would or. But some of the guys. Fit. In our future, the NFL and they move on and that doesn't deal that's just a, the life of NFL player. You know. So that's why always guy. Because he could be here today and gone to ball very easily, especially in Italy. Now the rest of I'm not there, but I gotta think that one guy who I know is going to fit in and again, I'm not there, but the one guy that I know will fit in Frank gore, the team added a free man. I've got so much respect for him as a player reaction to the news, especially the fact that he's a couple of weeks older than you. The locker room. That's the first thing I look for a how old. Thirty six on Friday. So glad to have here. But like you mentioned the guy's hall of Famer, he's put up with our time. So I just created a hard tough though. So after pita get off my career, and I have nothing but the respect part how he approaches his game. He loved the game. He's, he's a game as well. So he's definitely going to add a lot of leadership. But I also aside tough that we definitely will be as we go through this season, and try to get to the playoff, the reservoir, Santa village joining us so is the team battled injuries last year, especially quarterback. How was that for the team? And then how much you looking forward to your to which Allen, right? I mean, you know, better anybody else's quarterback league? And if you don't have a guy at the helm, they understand the game, consistently really, you know, playing from high, you really don't have an opportunity. I think we have guys start last year. That's why we ended up ten no kind knew that the quarterback around. You saw Josh got there late in the year. He grew better the team started rallying around him. And we want to obviously some of that kind of finish the season with transition into next year with him at guys around him are offered. Explode and help with Wayne games this year. So I'm excited for it. And looking at four to which I bring, I know the coast pretty, like his maceration process. For year one year two any taking all the web. So I'm excited. Out this year. We're talking till Renzo Alexander. United talked about this in the past off the top. I mentioned he runs out of two thousand five and we've talked about your joining the past I want to underline this because guys who go on drafted or not supposed to make it in the league let alone make it in the league for more than a decade and go to multiple pro bowls. How much pride is there in that for you? I mean, a lot I've said to put a lot of hard working in it, but I, I mean, I realized my excess not my own and I've had countless coaches and players and Mitchell London Fletcher who was on draft, as well, plaintively sixteen years and attach myself to guys like that who's really shows the way about how to be successful. You know, the guy showed her so yeah, you know, I'm here fifteen, but it was a proof of, man that really allowed me to build relationships and learn from them because you don't get that I heard countless came out with where their Patrick helps out. They wouldn't speak to life and put a show him. How would it be a man in the NFL on it off the field? So I'm thanking God that I've had my computer altered why I'm still indicates because, oh, God taught me how to be a later how to be a player and they're really had to give back to community really high praise. You mentioned a couple of times now. I see him sometimes when I go back to New York for the NFL and CBS. Rock n he's a bone every time he shakes my hand. He's so strong. Still what's Renzo about guys veterans. That will not help are they is it because it's so cutthroat because they're afraid that you might take their job. Why will some helping others won't? It comes down to you know, being here in, in in any walk. There's a certain somebody else you could with may have opportunity to take your job away, 'cause guy no family to take care of. And if you going to help a young guy, the walking out, you know, selfishly mostly would you selfish thinking and wanna give yourself you know, I thought it totally different obstacles guys did it for me, but I'm willing to compete with anybody. I want to give this information and then they get better. I gotta get that if I'm not good enough to be somebody. I can live myself. I never I don't think I can live myself telling somebody the ball getting cut. It's really affecting them. But there will going out there. PD in, in the best man wins. And so that's just a proud. I've taken some young age free. What a great attitude, Lorenzo join us for a few more moments. You have become an absolute fan favorite of buffalo because of well things like that. You and I have talked about the bills mafia in the past. We've talked about that. I'm based in the past, but you admitted recently for you. Got there. You didn't know what playing in buffalo was all about before you. Got there. What was your impression of buffalo? Cold weather. You know, I never been this far north at all New York. And I think it's just more. So. A lack of knowledge really ignorant just 'cause I never lived this part of the country. But once you get up here, you get to meet the people get to say the city if he all of that has to offer you fall in love with you. And it really matches up, well to know who I am the football playing blue collar, you know, that give it to me, everything, and in the community and braces in love with that, that, that mindset and the culture and family loves it up here we stay up here year round now and it's really been great for me and my favorite place down, that, that they've lived the NFL. All right. So you're there, you're round at same time union foundation or hosting a camp in Alameda here in California on June twenty second, you are from the bay area wants to be able to go back and give back like that. And make a difference back home. I'm never gonna forget where I came from because that's. The foundation was established that I have they're actually partnered with the beer seminal play within college in NFL started you've league and we fought it, and I just want to get back to the next generation out going back and giving them a real life picture of what it looks like come out of inner city of Oakland really an NLP to that whole area and just give resources and give hope. But I think that, that's t- that we have guys that Moore signed his whole crew doing it, and I'm just want to be a part of that because we have a lot of guys area that successful. And we're all looking to try to give back and help out the same thing you unless there have been so many great athletes to come out of Oakland NFL was NBA when you were coming up, who some of the guys on the area that you looked up to. Wow. I think tar Glenn who played for the coast for a long time to vote championship. Jason Kidd, was another guy notify the to kind of come to my mind, pretty sure if I think there's a bit of other guys that were, you know, five fifteen years older than me that, I would've looked to clan and play the league does a lot of great big. Well, he plays college Cal. He was drafted way back in two thousand five out of Cal time. Pro bowler, a Walter Payton man of the year, nominee, twenty seventeen and twenty eighteen and the Bill is open up against the jets September eighth. The Renzo Alexander back on the program. The red great abbey. Thanks so much appreciate you very much. Always good to have you on this show. Love talking bills football and always have. It's Lorenzo Alexander what class act, such good player undrafted in. Oh, five and still doing it. Frank gore down number the bills. Richie incognito, a member of the rate is so is we go down three. I wanna get into that. Also, our number three. Tom glavin? Stop off the podcast. Knocked it out of the yard. I will tell you all about that. A smack off player profile Mark in Hollywood. I would try to get that to you in our number three. And that max Muncie interview, and more. One eight hundred six three six eight six eight six phone lines are open right now..

"Actually came in five fifteen three minutes ago. Ninety five on the chemistry text line says pivot to football, please ninety nine days away. House boasts Hammy, and what is this incognito nonsense and Oakland. Dave, you wanna come on, and give me a little Richie incognito breakdown. If you missed this, by the way, yesterday, Oakland Raiders came to terms with Richie incognito who two years ago or last year did not play in the NFL. I can't remember if he was suspended or not. But member here that weird dude he Jonathan Martin ever since. They're bullying back and forth thing have had one of the weirdest like runs of their career Martin and a plan for the Niners for a minute. Then he had that thing where he was like, making threats to people on social media. Richie incognito, like went to a funeral home and made threats to some guy. At the at the funeral home like with. I don't know if you had a weapon with them, but Richie incognito, the newest member of your Oakland Raiders, Dave Jenks takes von. Burbot off the headline dude volunteers Burr. I mean I saw John Lund tweet this out yesterday. And he's absolutely right. If the raiders already weren't the perfect pick for hard knocks signing Richie incognito, like nails. The are hammers in that nail where you've got Richie incognito. You've got an Tonio Brown. You get Jon Gruden. You've got Mike Mayock. You've got volunteers perfect as you just mentioned. You've got a bevy of guys will be interesting and fun characters to watch on hard nuts. Yeah. These bones that come on, before they had a pretty good point, when they say, what would you call them soup bones soup bones that what's that insult just it also something that sits in a book at a soup? You never really can't, you might say the point that it's like what is the Chucky trying to just like revived the old raiders mystique? You know, it's like the. Davis guy, man. I mean he wouldn't surprise me if that was his philosophy. Also, John grew. We all love Jon Gruden on television, right? I mean, we were all down with his his money. Nobody's been is good on Monday night football since Gruden got out of the left the booth to be the head coach of the raiders. Like when you hear a guy like that breakout football here. First of all, you never heard him say he didn't like a guy. So does it shock you that he boy, this Richie incognito guy? I love the way he puts his hands on the football. That way I it's not a good group. I just find her through. So there there's little ninety nine days outright, or talk for the for the nine to five. Now, you're, you're, you're swimming in this giant stuff the way, all of us are get us to tomorrow. We get to tomorrow. We get warrior basketball up in Toronto. We had somebody else on the text line four, one five says, I predict one more game. For Kevin Durant, and a warrior uniform. They're saying they think you'll only get in one more really depends on how many games this series go. I think you're looking at a split in Toronto. I think the consensus consensus what I'm here to let it experts say, sort of funny, that, that there's not really a shock way to make a pick and a series. It's the finals. It's the final two teams. Clearly, they're the two best teams in the NBA this season or out of the east and out of the west, but people are making their picks and I think the most popular pick is the warriors and six if it goes seven, Doc Rivers talked about this yesterday, and we'll get to some of that sound a little later in the show, Doc Rivers had mentioned. He thinks if it goes seven that the raptors of a damn good shot of winning the way that crowd was was rocket in the way they were pouring into the streets like the videos from the fiftieth floor hotel buildings and it was insane. The way it was like they'd won the NBA finals clinching the Eastern Conference, ninety five on the text line. Let's says, let's hope incognito doesn't doesn't go down for some sort of murder rap. I, I mean, the guys from from what? From the outside looking in the media wrap on that guy is just that he's not. Great to. I mean I don't know. Well all the view of all of his teammates like shady McCoy. They love him. They love him. But as a human being he's, you know is enough of lineman. What do you expect? He's at three hundred pound guy beats people up for a living. You know, he's probably not going to be a nice guy. Seven. I like incognito through wants his toe. Forget about incognito taking a bat to his own Ferrari. Now that dude, you're, you're a little out of whack. If you're taking a bat to your own for our ear. You got some screws loose. Oh, yeah. He's got more screws loose than a hardware store. He's I mean, I don't know what I don't know if you'll make the whole season. I don't know. I mean he may just implode. Richie incognito. Yeah. Yeah. And there's nothing cognitive about nothing in tug about Richie back to the San Francisco Giants last night. They lose their sixth straight game eleven to three and, and the thing that hammer on here is that the strengths of the giants at the start of the season. The bullpen have quickly become the weakness or one of the major weaknesses of this team. The bullpen has has been shredded, because the starting rotate the starting pitching is not holding up their end of the deal I was slamming some Arza. I was slamming, Derek Holland. I had a texter hit me and say, seventy seven Cisco if you said the exact same thing last year about some margin, Holland and last year, they were inning eaters, I told you last year, these guys were trash. They aren't good pitchers. I poach talked about this after the game saying it's about execution. It's about it's not about the pitch selection. It's about the location to me, this is just plain about talent. And the giants don't have it. I just was talking to Murph in the hallway and Murph said there, a top five payroll. And I just I, I don't know what to say about that, man. I mean, I'm not sure it's. To me, it's sort of like attendance. Can you look at attendance and say, well that doesn't mean anything to with the A's right now are playing great baseball rough one last night. But they won ten straight games yesterday and nobody's going out to watch the age of the Coliseum. If your in a crappy ballpark if you're in a bad area for the game it doesn't really totally matter to the postseason. How will your team is playing ball until the as played six hundred ball for like four months last year and nobody gave a damn right? Then they play one playoff game. And it's over and you never get a home playoff game. So like, as far as the payroll goes, you can be a low payroll team and be phenomenal. Look at the Houston Astros who've decided, because they built from within that they could go spend money. Elsewhere I don't know that we're totally getting past that era of baseball where you pay for what they did in the past, but the fact that guys are now thirty years old twenty eight twenty nine thirty thirty one thirty two not getting big contracts. Something to be said about the way the mindset of baseball is being is being thought about where if you're not going to have a salary cap. Or, or only going to make teams pay a luxury tax than I don't think these teams are necessarily going to pay these guys the Josh Hamilton five year hundred and twenty five million dollar contracts for a thirty year old is on the back end of his career and to gone to go onto that point, look how many guys have been like Josh Hamilton signed that big deal and just haven't panned out. So owners naked say we're not gonna do it players could say collusion, but it's like no, no. Million dollars. We don't want to blow on a guy that's not gonna play more than a year. Exactly. Six five on the cache creek text line says isn't the rumor that, that Bruce, Bruce Bochy is going back to San Diego. MIB reminded me that berry bloom had wrote for Forbes wrote a piece about that, that the rumor is that he could return to San Diego Carrie Crowley, sat with Martin and at the public house, two weekends ago and said. Don't write that off. If that's the this is the end for Bruce bocce. And I'll tell you what that if anything might be the ultimate kick in the groin in two years if when the giants are still in the midst of a rebuild, and believe you me in two years, they will still be in the midst of a rebuild, if and when they are in two years if Bruce, Bochy takes a year off in the padras call because I don't believe he's going to manage next year. I think Butch will take your away. I think it's probably best for him. I think it's probably best for his family to say, hey, I need a break. I need a rest, any to decompress after however many years, it's been thirteen years, or whatever thirteen seasons in a giant uniform, but I could see the Padres making that move. And this was carry Crowley's point that they could do the Golden State Warriors, Steve Kerr thing and say, hey, Mark Jackson got us to a certain point. And now we're going to make a move where we need to get a guy here who can press all the right buttons to get us a World Series championship or to manage us through the grind of a season with a young team who's capable of winning but just needs the right guidance. Andy green has not been there before Bruce Bochy. I love figure has, and I could see them doing that for a season or two or three and saying, hey Bruce manages team potential playoff team. There'd be the only reason for him to come back. He's not in it for a repeal, he's in it to maybe try to go manage another World Series or win himself a championship. And what better organization for him to do it with the new organization? He played his ball with San Diego Padres. So let's get to some Bruce, bocce sound just briefly from yesterday. He had this note. This is a an Andy Bagley note Marlins hit three home runs last night. I'll follow hit a three run shot off Nick Vincent in the fifth Derrick Cooper, hit a two run shot off, Derek, Colin the six and then Rosell, Harare, hit a solo shot off San Coon. Rodney eighth inning. Every one of those home runs came on a one to count or an to count. Giants are getting guys deepen like in the whole in their bats. And they're not finishing me a bat, bocce says or just making too many mistakes are execution with two strikes. I.

"On those teams because i have a belief in ritchie and i believe khalid with right coaching can be very productive player in this league in a very good team rank so you know we we saw the opportunity area having having worked workforce did a nice job in his workout. He's <hes> recommitted. He's gotten help that. He needs works. I'd have him on the team. Maybe the a play from the day of two days not as practice on seven seven win. Derek carr threw a deep pass darren waller free tight window. He's able to bring it in an and it felt like a play. We've seen jerk. Make over the years and obviously cooks production. It's difficult to replace but what struck you. Maybe about that play but the bigger picture released waller. He's gonna lead athlete. You of those guys that you're fortunate to have on the team when we think he's one of those players at the tight end. What's the yeah the uh-huh off the the the the product right trump working hard to get the job jacob. Somebody who workload in alabama's probably went eto. Coach wants to see where it was run to the ground by any stretch of imagination. There's a lot of tread on the tires that remain obviously you have some debt backfield assault jalen what he did last season andrei and doug and all that but that being said what do you hope from to ask if you'd be able to ask from the rookie in his first season well. We're still a long ways away from playing her first game but <hes> certainly based on where you draft the play. We'd draft him in the first round so there's high expectations expectations for <hes> from us. There's high expectations. He has himself and we're going to try and get acclimated to our offense as quickly as possible and the more he's able to take on and certainly the more responsibility will give him and again. We're a long ways away from playing at first game so we'll know when we get through the training camp and we get through those four preseason games just where he's at whether or not he's he's ready to be the number one back and be able to take on a bigger workload. You're less with the raiders before being hired in two thousand eighteen in two thousand fourteen dirks rookie season and there's a few year period there where you're elsewhere than obviously coming back to this area <hes> what was that dynamic like for you and your family just to be fear than to go and then to return. Are you guys live in the same neighborhood good same houses before what's what does that boil on very fortunate. You know i'm fortunate to the oakland raiders organization and mark davis and really reggie mckenzie jon gruden the the people let me brought me back here <hes> than that very often <hes>.

"And sports mobile stations casino right now. It is a tuesday and we are here at the raiders headquarters in alameda where there was some big news here with the team today in this o._t. A session with the signing of richie incognito and we're gonna get into all of that and more but first it's time to welcome adam hill to the podcast joining michael belkin and myself to the vegas nation podcast adam great to have you along with us for the right but welcome to the beat. Oh thank you it's a it's going to be out here and <hes> good 'antonio brown as we talked about earlier to you know we'll have his speaking to the media debut at the o._t. As this year after missing one session last week and i it was big news even though it was kind of a minor deal but yeah very recorded out here look forward to join you guys on on the on the podcast on the beat and on raiders governor general should be very cool and <hes> this big season before they get into vegas. It's kind of already looking at him as our team and this tuesday day we're talking. Now is the perfect example. I think of what you can expect adam that the raiders we don't know when a loss what it's gonna it'd be but they are never boring and the signing of regime cognitive to a one year contract from football standpoint certainly understand why the raiders did what they did. I mean he's as a as you mentioned a four time. Pro bowler heidi someone who immediately joins the mix to start at left guard which was really the one area on the raiders starting offensive line. That was a question mark and he's probably the favourite to start their identity. Oh good he's the one who has been seen work with the ones prior to incognito arrival but <hes> do an injury. It doesn't sound to be overly serious a good it was not at practice on tuesday so incognito despite having just been signed this morning corning was working with the first team unit <hes> but of course as it relates to incognito is not just about football you go back to his time at nebraska. There are multiple incidences. This is where he was suspended. Do behavioral issues and it's <hes> over the course of time. I think we have a better sense of exactly what those issues are and it's. It's not just someone acting out. There's a real mental health situation there for which he has sought treatment and he was out of football entirely in two thousand eighteen while getting some of the help that he felt he needed in certainly many felt he needed <hes> and now that he's with the raiders. They believe he's in the right mental state. He's in the right. Physical condition really impressed team at a workout earlier this month in now. It's about a having a plan in place. Mike mayock says a plan in place to make sure after that in god neto is accessible not just on the field but probably more importantly probably more importantly off the field because incognito isn't getting the help instructor that he needs leads away from the field. You'll never be able to contribute to society or on field really anywhere else and just be who can be off the field as was on so that's kind and where this move is not just about the football player it's about the human and the raiders <hes> signed up for it all by adding incognito adam we know that he has a chequered passes michael's mentioned and we were talking a little bit about the hard knock show and how perhaps with this cast and the signings they've had that maybe <hes> this is the team to feature on hard knocks h._b._o. What do you make of that. Do you think that right now what michael was the leading to all of the issues that incognito has been through and his mental state of mind that this is going to be any way beneficial for that team to have richie incognito featured on hard hard knocks we'll. I think it's going to find out if they're actually going to to pick them. I think the raiders would certainly prefer to be on their next year. <hes> use it as an introduction to vegas. I think the the league would almost prefer that happens next year. I think is intriguing. The raiders are and being one of five teams that can't say no and hard knocks wants them. They kind of have to <hes> accept it. I i just feel there's going to be so much work done to try to make sure it happens next year as opposed to this year but this certainly does make the more interesting and i think he cognitive. I think we have to get into all of the factors that go into you know whether you're signing or not and whether it's beneficial for him to be playing football again whether they are enabling him to <hes> to you know to do whatever he's going to do and and i don't know if it's better to be playing football. I don't know i've i think it's a very complex in deep issue <hes> but i think the first thing even talk about him as a football player <hes> because i think the mental stuff and the off the field stuff is more important which is strictly from a football perspective and i certainly were michael's take on this. Where is he because he made the pro bowl last time he played in buffalo live two years ago two thousand seventeen but he was clearly better in two thousand sixteen. I thought he tailed off significantly in two thousand seventeen and then didn't play at all last year. I don't know the warriors football player. If you've listened to today you heard mike mayock say hey everybody here watched him for you. Know basically you know to rapson was like yet go. He's good we can sign him. He's in good shape but i just don't know a guy that that you know was already starting to to kind of hit. The downside sat out a year had everything go wrong mentally italy off the field and then now trying to play again. I just don't know where he is is football player especially if they're gonna count on him to be an impactful player yeah they're entirely different players but i can't help but think of marshawn lynch who he was hit a year away from football he was retired than the raiders suddenly acquired them and then it was the same question of what are you getting as a football player and marshawn ended up having to really productive seasons certainly when healthy he was fantastic he had construction finally games of his initial season with the club and then last last year he had the october groin injury but overall he was very productive incognito a year away from football as well obviously very different reasons but you know can he come back fresher sure now that he's away from it. I think it's key to point out. He's thirty five years old. He turns thirty six here shortly. This is a guy who has a tough the meter about him. I mean he's been the trenches a lot and he's taken bumps along the way he adds toughness to the raiders offense align. But how much are you able to get out of him in the raiders. Do you need sixteen games. I've been called mediocre. There's a chance he suspended for the first four over how many games to start the year and so you have them in your system now if the n._f._l. Decides do pass incidences incidents that they're going to suspend him well. Maybe now we're only talking about twelve games ten games and maybe they're comfortable about <unk> how his body will be able to sustain over the you know just a wear and tear that would come with that so <hes> i think it remains to be seen you look great here on a tuesday for a guy who was just signed hours earlier but no pads on until training camp and i don't think the raiders are gonna be able to answer that question themselves adam until things get rolling rolling in july and august and the preseason as things pick up from there. Will we have the chance also to speak with greg olsen the offensive coordinator for the raiders and and i'm very curious to hear what he had to say about incognito we will get to that interview a bit later here in the show but switching gears <hes> wide receiver antonio antonio brown. He's somebody that we got to see today out on the field working out and i think that the offensive wide receiver the outlook for this team right now. It's huge. You have guys like trent brown. Now you know richie. Incognito starts at the guard position. You have a solid offensive line. If you look at the the people who could be the starter is potentially as well as the addition tyrone williams that we've talked about and just some of the draft picks like josh jacobs. The offense is really shaping up so i'm very intrigued to hear what greg olsen had to say with you michael but what are you guys make about antonio brown coming out and i kind of look at him really working out with the full team here at the o._t. As i think you can have a lot of questions about this offense or this team but until you browns not really one of them <hes> as much as themes ended the way they ended in pittsburgh who uses a football player of the type of physical condition that we expected on tuesday seem in. I think it was all as anticipated anticipated and i think he fits the bill. You look at the way he set the tempo from a work ethic standpoint as obviously as reporters we only have so much of a window to that we're not in meetings meetings and we're not in the weight room and those sorts of things but by all accounts he's setting that tempo and guys are following his lead and so he wants to be great and he has been great and when you have someone in your locker room who just carries himself that way it can have a pretty profound influence in the locker room and so i will see over the course of the coming months but i think on tuesday you know you see him just after a play even if he didn't catch surpass he's talking to the d._b.'s. Let them know that he was open loan. He's going to still become an and then just being friendly with them camaraderie. It's all coming from a good place and certainly his tone was very welcoming to all his teammates and so just a small snippet because this is the first time we've seen him practices media even though he's been a regular participant throughout this voluntary workout program tuesday oce last week aside when he was absent. I thought he looked pretty good. I bet you yeah. I mean i thought listen. There's no question about antonio brown. It's a player like you know when he's on the field. He's gonna make plays. He's gonna he's gonna be an impactful guy even if he's not involved in the actual play like he's gonna draw defense. He's going to be fantastic as as a player. I i think the questions go kind of off the field that we were talking about incognito. We've seen off the field issues. Antonio brown has been more. How is he in the locker room like it seemed like his teammates really enjoyed him so far but of course he's only been here a little while <hes> and you can look at the situation in pittsburgh say was it him was it rothlisburger and i think everybody has their opinions about where that went. But how much of a distraction does he be calmer or if there are things that are going on in the locker room. Does it become an issue and now you start to look look at the mix and when you have guys like incognito antonio brown <hes>. There's like this whole dynamic. Of how do they all fit together..

"What's thanks for joining us. A ten minutes will play Bob Myers from Friday, President of basketball operations for the. Wars. We've got into some discussion but we have a couple more days to get into Moore's far as the raptors in the. Warriors DeMarcus cousins, by the way listed as questionable. There was pictures of Steve Kerr having dinner with Gregg Popovich Friday night. If he was asking about why. You pretty much know what you need to know about, why don't you think you need inside from pop to you. Probably not. But more Intel's better. That's true. Can't go can't go wrong with more information and no one would know. Play that again. That's a lab, you're going to play that one. The one that they do the NBC theme. Oh, yeah. That was good. That's the best one. If they that's auto laugh. That's limited. They don't even know where you sit in that. At the maze. That is amazing. Just. If you play if you've produced that or the minute, you did it, you know, you would know. I got this, this is going to be big. We're getting some hits on this one. We're gins amid Richie incognito side with the raiders, so they have contests. Perfect. Richie incognito in Tonio Brown. I've got to believe in short order. We will get a hard knocks announcement added Mayock Gruden and the fact that it's their last year. Oakland, an imagine forty Niners. Giants lions raiders Redskins can't say, no so apparently saw that he was already running with the first team at left guard. They lost Colegio similarly in the off season he went to the jets. So I would imagine that he's probably going to be the starter. And you said the Niners are in there, too, aren't they Niners could go as well? Yeah. Niners could be in there was the other teams I had them here for a second ago. That, that, that, that, that the five teams are forty Niners. Giants and lions raiders Redskins. Now you can you can volunteer for it. Yeah. You could. Yeah. I knew they were Tina, the jets wanted to do it. Ryan wanted to do it, and who's your owner Woody Johnson? The jets, I think he wanted to do. Yeah. Want them every brand out there? And but really, it's the coach coach want to do it. Does he up for doing it? I can't imagine Gruden wants to do it. We already know how Shanahan fills a bad news. No interest whatsoever of doing that none. So I could see the Redskins. I see Snyder. To do it. But Jay Gruden probably wouldn't wanna do it. I got a I. Cattleman would be horrible. I wouldn't watch one saying, does anybody know the jets was really good. Because Ryan was good. But no. Nasty nasty. Does anybody? Lurs. Show that even into her dogs anymore. It's okay. Started for wall season. But I don't know. I just don't it's not like he used to be. From special. Watch it last year. Nah. It was Brown's. It was decent Baker Mayfield is, but you're right, Hugh. Jackson has got a pretty good personality. But once you've seen this guy got cut. This guy's underdog..
