Were trying to be a do-gooder but but fill your ex is an interesting character. Yeah i mean. Essentially what is in the rape before superior spider man. Now he gives basically goes evil and goes off the rails. I mean he was out of commission for a while because around the type of onslaught like one of the sentinels trashes the suit. So yeah guys that action for a couple of years. But he is he going to be like a teenager because why is he. Is he on hate though mozzarella sorta just want another like. "Meanwhile warpath missing since the team's confrontation with the externals is in south beach florida. I went there once with my mom and high school for a weekend and everyone thought we were a couple and it was really weird. That would be really weird. Yeah it was unsettling fair also kind of hilarious. It can be both anyway. Warpath is there as part of in fact a couple. He's there with risk risk q. Risque risk anyway remember her. Her name is spelled risque. So i assumed it was pronounced risque but she keeps on using it in contexts where it only makes sense if it were pronounced risks. So i'm not certain heart to say yeah anyway. She had warpath matt a few issues ago. They had sort of meet cute explode q. Heap through car at her. She imploded at you. Know how it goes. Pretty monteiro man starts So yeah. He apparently was rescued by her from selene of the externals and now they're hooking up in south beach and he hasn't gotten in touch with x force because he really likes just feeling free simple easy. He's not in. The shadow of his brother like there are no expectations. In fact he's feeling so free and easy that he got a giant goddamn thunderbird tattoo on his giant. Goddamn back seriously. It's huge must have taken forever. Like i just got a small one recently. Took an hour and a half just for this tiny little tattoo details. I guess that's true but still there's another question. I have so warpath one of his powers that he's super durable right. So how'd you tattoo someone like that. Wouldn't that make it take much longer. Maybe it's not a tattoo. Maybe she just turn on him with sharpies once within the board that could be so like every time he lays down the white sheets. There's just this sort of messy colorful blob. That he leaves behind. It's not colorful. It's all grey and black. No okay well. That's less fun dammit. Risk i knew i didn't trust you. Risque risk q. Anyway they drive around way too fast on a harley and once again. Paulina just kills just drawing the superfund dynamic over the top action thing and of course cops start chasing them and when warpath asks if they pull over she response james. What's life without a little risk or possibly risk you or possibly risque yet. I mean that was the where i i sort of had to completely rethink. How her name was pronounced. I really object if it's pronounced risk and she spelling it lake risque though. I'm not saying it's a great plan. What is great though. Is that as they like. Jump over a big app on their harley. It's unclear which says which because the speech bubbles appointed generically but one of them says upi yokthai yay and the other says risk. And i super hope it's actually risk. Who is saying risk like saying her name like she. Some kind of god damn poke came on. Maybe she is maybe she is. We don't know much about her yet. Anyway they're distracted by the sounds of violence nearby because Some friends if humanity acres are beating up a guy it turns out that he's he's just a guy who has severe burn scars and he blames mutants for making people. Think he's a mutant. So i was thinking about this and it seems like this might just be commentary about how you know various types of bigotry. Harm even more people than the direct targets that bigotry because they can be used to enforce norms against anyone who deviates. But i don't know. Are we giving the issue too much credit. I think it's it's going there. Too broad sense okay. So yeah that point risk says you know what screw this. This is why mutant should just hang out with each other. So the implication is that risk is a bad influence on our jimmy proud star. So we're going to skip over from x force to x. men unlimited number eight two story called first contact it's written by howard mackie penciled by dan lewis and tom gromit inked by ian aitken colored by matt webb and lettered by richard stockings and common craft and the attentive listeners among you may realize that we're actually further along and excellent unlimited narcan bridge. Yeah we We forgot this one. Whoops so we're covering it now. And i am excited about the story for all the wrong reasons. Look it's an okay story. It's not spectacular. It's kind of cookie cutter wreath a little bit like sort of fun. Fan fiction with an original character stuck in but but but gives me an excuse to talk about x. men origins woolery. Oh yeah the greatest not best but greatest x. men movie okay. The most extreme. I mean we were talking about wolverine jumping through the air on motorcycles earlier and he definitely does that like a in that movie one time he jumps through a helicopter and the helicopter explodes as he should. It's it's such a bad movie. I love it so much but among the characters who feature in it is a guy named chris bradley who was electrokinetic and this issue of excellent unlimited. The origin of convicts chris bradley. We wasn't he played by mary. Daca brandy bach in that movie. Yes yes otherwise known as dominic Otherwise known as german. Dj hunts right. Oh man that was fun. And by that i mean really all of the things we just referenced. I'm gonna linked to the halcion sketch and the visual companions of this episode. Because it is the greatest thing ever to come out of any work by tolkien It's it's just an easter egg from the lord of the rings. dvd's and the return of the king says typically think and it's truly beautiful. It's a work of art. It truly is speaking of art. I guess before we get too much further into this issue. I do want to call out the genuinely beautiful adam. Pollina cover which features our main character. Chris Sort of like a generic looking white kid but Dramatic with his arms crossed in front of him and lightning crackling out of him on this striking black background. It's just a really cool piece of art even if every time..

"Okay while. They're very pretty. So this character. Showing up actually calls back to uncanny x men number two hundred forty-seven way back in the day that was when the nimrod master mold hybrid went through the portal siege perilous and hasn't been seen since i believe maybe get some point i don't remember but that was also the issue. Senator kelly's wife died because of the fight between the x. men and that robotic entity. So it's kind of weird that this is in some ways a direct sequel to one specific not particularly well remembered x-men comic for many many years before i think a lot of sort of odd moments are one of the long long traditions of x. Men especially post clermont is new writers coming in and finding story hooks to latch onto wherever they happen to pick those up. And i really appreciate that. I mean obviously j you and i are big fans of continuity and it's nice to see people who also appreciate that input. The work in. I would appreciated some of that background being recapped. I think this is one of those situations where a brief you know. Aside makes a lot of sense to include it may be that. We're going to get one of those later in the story but we definitely don't right now. Yeah the nature of bastion won't be revealed for a very very long time. What we know about him now is that he a charismatic powerful leader. Whose uniting all of these people from various countries into one gigantic global pro human group. We also find from jean that he can't have his mind read and in fact once he realizes that jean anne our gene and remmy and pulls a gun on them refined. Her telekinesis doesn't work against him either. Something that'll make more sense. When he's far far far in the future revealed to be a fusion of two mutant hunting robots right. That's sort of part of the sentinel deal so phoenix and gambit book it. They have a much better idea of what's going on here which spoiler not great and also they don't wanna get shot to death by a bunch of confused military people and a gigantic pink-clad man who is telekinesis proof. Yeah according to the xavier protocols. Most of the accident are weak against guns. I mean fair enough. So we're we. Yeah no that's sort of the point yet. The xavier protocols always struck me as really weird because like with most most of the heroes. You could just kill them. Most of the ways you could kill a human. You don't really need separate protocols for it. Right i mean you know you basically have to kill logan. The same weedkiller vampire with cutting his head off and putting it somewhere else in shoving some garlic and his mouth but most of the other ones then you just get two of them. Oh jeez and one of them would have garlic breath as gene and gambit make their escape. They noticed that they apparently have had some help. Because the many many heavily armed guards outside are all asleep. Thanks as it turns out that familiar psychic face we saw an x. Men number fifty the mysterious powerful psychic entity who was in some way involved with the big guy named post that fought the x men a confusing fashion. So what do we think about. Operation zero tolerance being built up so early on. This almost feels like a red herring at this point because it looks like it's about to become the next big thing and we know it's definitely not the next big things onslaught. I think it kind of works. I don't know. I know there was a lot of editorial interference in this era. So i don't know if that was the plan of operations zero-tolerance be the next crossover. But one of the things we really see as onslaught builds is increasing anti mutant sentiment and thus increasing frustration. For charles examiner. That's kind of part of the deal with onslaught since onslaught will turn out to be a manifestation of his his frustration. His rage has dark side. See kind of self perpetuating cycle there you kinda do. Yeah and you know. There's also the fact that we'll find in the wake of onslaught when that becomes public that a mutant was behind this big disaster operations. Zero-tolerance will have much much more justification. For the extreme measures. It takes so interesting both of these events at once. I think actually super super works because they each make the other better yeah. I'm inclined to agree with you. There that takes us to x. Men number fifty three false fronts written by mark. Waid pencil by andy. Hubert inks cam smith with john del colored by joe roses and lettered by richard stockings and craft and okay anti-cuban. Pretty good. i think eddie hubert's like really good in this issue. Yeah he's really really solid here. He's working with a lot of chaos and he handles it very very nicely. Oh yeah extremely mundane settings to flashbacks aping other artists styles to astral plane cosmic nonsense to an issue essentially of a whole bunch of conversations that is incredibly dynamic and engaging so here we go if if there could be said to be a part of the onslaught lead up where we are fully in the onslaught zone. Yeah it's this issue is the onslaught sound like the french zone. I mean i don't know friends owns nice. As you've said it's where we keep our friends i guess the onslaught zone is just really bad. Yeah probably well anyway. Issue starts off very innocuous which i think is actually a great way to lead into what will turn into a big event. Jean grey is going shopping and salem center as she is. We see both the dialogue. The actual conversations. She's having with people and their thoughts which she's not really bothering to screen out. Usually she does. But it's extra work and she can just sort of get through it now. It's not great though. It's frustrating and distracting. Yeah a lot of these. People are polite to her with their spoken words but are suspicious jealous or just being jerks in their minds and then suddenly out of nowhere while she's in addressing room in this double page spread. She dissolves all liquid like into the space looking astral plane and there's onslaught there is onslaught full body on obscured for. I think the first time we've seen him and the design. I don't know maybe she's cuban but onslaught looks really really cool here like. How would we describe this dude this psychic whatever magneto but nineties are kind of. Yeah like like menudo but super sand magneto. Mega sword like magna's third stage. Po came on evolution. He seriously just is magneto. Bought more so but like nineties to the max. He's super buff. His eyes are just little points of glowing light in the shadows of his helmet. Now this is weird is how narrative because no one ever seen goes oh magneto but clearly. It's just a scarier looking version of magneto. there is no subtlety here and onslaught says.

"Is why we can't have. Nice things. like the archangel so nineteen ninety-six is not a great time to be a mutant anti mutant zealot graydon creed is running for president on a campaign xenophobia and preserving the mutant fearing status quo. Good thing nothing like that. Whatever happened in real life law and he's been working with a shadowy governmental organization who's been stealing mutant intel and creating mutant hunting entities like the hound over an x factor. Meanwhile strange and powerful psychic entity has been appearing to various teams some other folks to make cryptic statements in some occasional vandalism and occasionally send out henchmen to test the x. men in combat and the same mysterious being called onslaught seems to be stealing anti mutant technology and again tagging. It's locations with his name. If that sounds like descriptions of the villains of not the next one crossover but the next two crossovers well then good call. You've learned your ninety s x. Men oh god is it always already operations zero-tolerance kind of and actually i wanna talk about that. But first let's talk about uncanny x men number three hundred thirty three. The other shoe written by scott bob dole pencil by pascal ferry inked by tim townsend rob hunter mark morales and chad hunt colored by team gucci leather by richard stockings and comic crafts. This is part of continuity where uncanny and attrititional lasak's men are literally just leading one title into the other into the first into the second flake. You just have to read both of them at this point straight up. They're basically the same series pretty much. The issues narration opens telling us all about the views of one. Senator robert kelly and his history with mutants. He's against them. You of course may remember senator. Kelly from being important in the days of future past storyline were his potential. Assassination could have triggered a dark future. You may remember him in a somewhat similar role in the first x. men movie and in context of that role as the world's worst licensed toy ever create it. Oh yeah like. They did a toy of when he turned into a slime guy. Right it's very upsetting it. Truly truly is anyway. Kelly's gone back and forth on exactly where he stands with mutants overall. He's got a lot of history he doesn't trust them. He's not like evil evil evil the way graydon creed seems to be pretty still somewhat unpleasant and not the x men's friend. He also keeps a gun out in his house. Which is the bad practice in which you shouldn't engage. That is bad gun safety. Senator robert kelly. He draws that gun when here's a noise in his house but don't worry it's only cyclops. Who is there. Because senator kelly called the x. Men for help. He looks very very dramatic though and all the shadows. Oh yeah like the shadows of the window. Crossbars on this clearly dark and stormy night are over cyclops and they're like dead leaves and branches over him as well and he's all sparkly from his visor and is weird yellow metal shoulder thing them. It's extra funny. Because this is mid ninety cyclops. Who's very heavily informed by the incredibly boring cartoon version. So it's like you know your local corporate accountant making a really dramatic entrance to like tell you about your tax returns stand-down wolverine so two things about this scene thing one. This is a time honored and effective way to show how desperate situation is getting. You have enemies becoming allies. You have the good guys. And the bad guys uniting against like the worst guys. My understanding though was that kelly had become a tentative at least sometimes ally to mutants i mean he had he was still pissed off that his wife got killed in a mutant fight. Though so you know. There's that other thing though. So senator robert kelly i mean. There's r kelly. But robert. Kelly is also the name of the person that directed. Donnie darko. which is one of the only movies i've ever seen made much worse by. Its directors cut so much worse anyway. director robert. Kelly talks about. How are you know. I was okay. With the mutant registration act. I was okay with sentinels. I was okay with project wideawake because human mutant violence is going to screw things up for everybody and i was just trying to get things under control cyclops response. I'll be the first to.

"I mean he's not wrong. Oh he's absolutely not wrong and his delightful. And i'm pressure. That's why he's got the tiny mustache 'cause kurt when he's using an image inducer always does they're all flint thing. It's really great and of course these two initially can't stand each other but then they fall in love. I mean kind of mainly than malcolm's brother is killed by next hume raid on this place hold harmony base which is where mutants and humans like. Don't hate each other and randall's really there for him and they become inseparable after that and this is just the tiniest bit of back story but it really really works. Oh malcolm and randall. Someone's favourite characters. I appreciate them there. Some of my favorite characters and that brings us to access the number. Three future betrayed written by john. Ostra enter with art by didata studios and makuto colors by shannon blanchard by richard stockings and comma craft. And once again this is mostly flashback. But the framing story as you just want to call out the fact that as bishop and bishop are talking chard who remember is a an intangible hologram most of the time phases her head into the refrigerator and remarks that oh yeah i guess the light really does go off when you close the door and that's just such a fun little detail but it also makes me realize it's a hard line to get balancing these sort of goofy irreverent of the present with the dedicated serious ambitious resentful shard of her past our future and i think it actually works to juxtapose them like that. I agree this is very much a shark who has nothing left to prove exactly and we saw that in the bishop miniseries as well as he was going after mount joy and she was just lounging defying physics on his bike. Because again she's a hologram not caring about who saw her lake. Shar doesn't give a shit. She knows that she's dead. She knows that she's not exactly real. And so why worry seems to have the ca- talking to at some point. She really does shame that he left the team right before she showed up as it goes so as part of shards rise. She focused really hard. In trying to get promoted trying to get credit on a holographic technology program the idea was that the access you would make holographic clones of access the officers to supplement or replace their forces but unfortunately the holograms kind of socks. They didn't really have any decision making capabilities. They weren't very smart or strategic from what the various tech people were saying. What would be necessary to make a hologram. That actually worked as a cop would be to fully process. Read destroy the brain of the person on which that hologram was modeled. Well could you get a bunch of copies that way. Though you know. I was thinking about that. I mean you look at star wars and the entire clone army was based off of one. Dude django fed and you know yes django fat. Did i thanks to a purple lightsaber. But you still had tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands if not millions and millions of clones. So you know. I'm not saying we should like kill a future cop to make a lot of holo future cops but i am just saying like maybe the math wouldn't be so bad right. I feel strongly that the excess he should be disbanded in general. So you know well that may be the case but then the incredibly evil utterly without redeeming characteristics hume's would have known to track them down but then you could maybe work with them and engage in mutual aid and figure out more structural solutions to the issues that result that revolution. If only the ex- hume's were not fully irredeemable in every conceivable way fiction.

"And gone after the the modern hellfire club man. That guy sounds busiest wolverine pretty much. Now it's kids in the excess. He shot was stuck in lucas shadow. He was brilliant fearless when she was younger and sometimes need of reassurance or rescue later on he'd end up getting credit for her achievements if they were out together so we're not only getting their history here as members of the c. but also the history of other dynamic because of loved over that time right and we know that chard will end up his bishops commanding officer. We heard in the bishop mini series before this that that was in large part. Because bishop just didn't want to rise through the ranks that he liked being a beat cop essentially but that's an interesting wrinkle to it. I kinda like it. Honestly just because she hasn't had a very distinct personality and that ambition based on a desire to actually be recognized. That's kind of cool. Yeah i like that a lot so that brings us to xy number. two future. intense is written by john stranger again art by didata studios and mozarts two colors by derek. Bellman letters by richard stockings and comma craft. I got to say. I'd like the art and this one much much better. That's interesting because to me. The fact that there are so many artists i think market was actually a member of the studios that makes it kind of jarring going from one page to the next but yeah the good art in this issue is genuinely very good. Yeah agreed the opening narration. I don't know if it's good. But i think it's great Jay would you do the honors. This is the danger room of the future. Where young newton's train and home the talents and abilities that set them apart from normal human beings. It's called the street coming to theater near you this summer. So on the street we see the incident that gets bishop actually promoted to being access officer not just a cadet right. A bunch of cadets are attacked by 'em plates and bishop organizers the cadets to defend themselves until excesses shows up to turn the fight. I guess we should probably talk about what employees are. Because it's been a while. M plates are vampires mouths in their hands. Who eat mutant bone. Marrow they are indeed the genetic mero we've of course seen 'em played in generation x. Who presumably is the person who created at least the first round of an plates that ended up bishops future. Got say. I am grateful to australia for sticking with just mero here instead of Genetic marrow and of course to descend big you wait. We don't mean like sarah the morlock marrow. She's a to running right now right lower case at meroe bunger exactly. There is a really cool bit of art in this fight. Though he mentioned the arts getting this issue and overall i agree bishop and this other cadet named shirley. I don't know why it's hilarious to me that there's a future cop cadet named shirley. I think that's because it was the name of my maternal grandmother and so it's such an old lady named for me. Oh it's super an old lady name. I mean apologies down a younger shirley's but were afraid you may have an old lady name. That's okay it's a cool lady. Name old ladies are awesome you ever see the triplets of belleville full of awesome ladies. Oh yes many times but yeah. There's this really cool panel where bishop shirley are just surrounded by employees closing in and they're not fighting back to back but they're still shooting in different directions and sees teather laser blasts like crossing over one another. You really do get the impression that these are kids who are being very effectively trained in st combat also shards powers manifest at this point and they are cool although there description is it doesn't make a ton of sense which is that she can turn the light into energy but like it's all right. I guess different energy like zap energy. Yes zap your energy. You know we've talked about this. It's the nineties. If a given mutant characters created their powers or probably just energy shit yep and so indeed are shards multiple unclear on how old they are at this point when when bishop has made a full officer because archbishop looks maybe like thirteen or fourteen. Yeah but at the same time if this is a messed up future where people live and die quickly and things are very dangerous see them you know basically considering somebody to be an adult earlier now once. Lucas bishop is an accessory officer. We get to meet his two wingmen. Those are malcolm and randall. These are the guys who had mostly interchangeable personalities than in uncanny x men two hundred eighty two two hundred eighty seven various previous flashbacks. We know that they were bishops. To best buddies and they were the two guys who were killed coming back to the present their only really differentiated by the colors of their their mullets and guns. Yeah but that was enough for me. I read their origin issues. So many times as a kid and the fact that like malcolm had hand guns that shot multiple lasers from his knuckles and randall had a cool little mustache and they both had awesome mullets. That was enough for me but they work a lot better distinct personalities and i will give this miniseries one thing it makes me care much more about malcolm randall as characters not just as character designs. Oh agreed it also definitely established as randall as my favorite of the two. Yeah yeah i mean. They're they're both pretty great but okay. Let's start with malcolm and lead up to your favorite on. What's malcolm's deal now that he actually has a backstory a personality. So malcolm has dreamed of xy being out on the street in doing good. He is also the rich kid of an influential father and so he gets what he wants but he really really wants to do things right as bishop puts it feisty. Little mutant aren't you. I like that in my men do yet. Malcolm's cool like he gets really annoyed whenever anybody thinks he's trying to coast on his privilege. He's also very very serious. And by the book i think because he's so obsessed with being taken seriously as his own future cop. Not just like a nepotism base future cop randall. On the other hand is an insubordinate swashbuckler bad ass who specifically swashbuckling. Because he absolutely idolises the classic x men night.

"Hair though i guess. Alas trevor's portal was one way so bishop was stuck in time before he was born and after the usual number of misunderstanding based fights. He joined the x. Men along with his snazzy outfit and mullet bish brought with him to the present attack no bracelet the contain the personality memories and holographic appearance of his dead sister chard who had been his commanding officer in the excess after forge upset bracelet. Holo shark came to life and joined x factor so that brings us to the present as of the comics but what about the bishops siblings past which is to say the experts future which is to say possibly are present or future disa- future past happened. Like what eight years go. Now you know and we should say as we dive into this. This is actually the second bishop slash access the mini miniseries written by the same person. John ostra andrew. There will be a third but we've covered so much bishop charen access you stuff lately that we're going to deal with that another time. Yeah we'll get there eventually This one i got say is definitely the the the lesser of the two. We've gotten to so far and that brings us to excess in number one time lost written by john. Australia penciled by. Chris gardner by terry austin and tom palmer colored by derek bellman and lettered by richard stockings and comma craft so before we dive into the plot. I do wanna talk about one thing. I appreciated which is that the cover of number one is shattered charging straight ahead zapping while bishop runs behind her and then the first page is the opposite bishop is running straight ahead zapping while shard is behind him so evil time nice so before we get into the plot. I want to bring up something. That i'm really uncomfortable with that. Is that this. Whole series is distill. Coppa ganda yet. This is basically a story where the future cops are all good guys and the criminals that they face are all not just bad guys but lake. Sue bad guys. It's very black and white or blue rainbow. I guess because the criminals have multicolored hair and specifically the mutants who consider the accessing class. Traders are all super villains. Yeah yeah for the most part. I mean okay. So there's that and then there's the fact that the plot of the series can be summarized as hey remember that time that our entire origin story so coppa ganda yes but also recap again data that word. I mean it is in the dark future. Time line of earth. Eleven ninety one. I assume valid so anyway. Yes the the whole. The whole series is framed around bishop and shard reminiscing about the questionably. Good old days of the distant future. I think it really works a framing story. Actually because remember the shard that we have here the holographic chard. She only has her own memories that were implanted in that weird little bracelet. She doesn't really know. What bishops motivations were what he was up to when they were separated and she doesn't really have a full idea of what happened after she died in the future. I don't think she even knows how she died. I think memory cuts off a little bit before her death. I think it does. Yeah this does give the story a nice bit of continuity context. I mean otherwise it would just be a giant giant flashback and with this. It's a flashback. That has a reason to be told. It is kind of an as you. Bob story but only partially. I appreciate the effort so in looking at my notes and in talking about this. I realize i'm coming up against a very specific problem. And that is that lucas bishops code. Name the name. He goes by assists surname which he shares with his sister. So i'm thinking of them as bishop and shard and then they're not though lucas in chard bishop right they can be lucas and chard or bishop and bishop but he can't really mix and match there. I mean i think we'll get to it but later on a family member of theirs refers to them as bishop and shard which is just weird. I mean lucas is the older sibling. So i suppose it's feasible that his family started referring to him as bishop immediately and then when his younger sister was born. They were like well. Shit we can't call her bishops. So i guess we have to call her by her first name gas. I also love the name to kids. Lucas and chard. Maybe that's why. Lucas goes by bishop. Because otherwise he realizes that there's no way he can compete in the name department with. His sister seems reasonable. No speaking of their early life the bishops kids were initially raised largely by dude named hancock and their grandmother or at least someone they called grandmother who is clearly hinted in this miniseries to storm. Yes i wanna talk about both of those because here. We have hints. That grandma is storm in the bishop. Miniseries we had hints briefly. That may be handcock with cyclops. And there's some evidence for and there's some evidence against for each of those so who should we start with j. Let's start with grandmother. Okay so we do know that earth eleven ninety one bishops future basically follows from data future past or at least an alternate future extremely similar. Today's future past and indies. A future past storm died. We saw it on panel. We know that this time line didn't exactly follow that pattern and it's reasonable that she might have survived or that she might have survived but been permanently depowered. Grandmother is in this case and she even vaguely alludes to what might have happened when she's talking to hancock who brings up her past as.

"Guess so. But part of what this genesis tyler day spring was doing in attempting to be apocalypse is air slash. Replacement was leading the dark riders. Part of it was also making new horsemen of the apocalypse. And he figured it would be super cool to have wolverine be death to which end he was going to kidnap him brainwash him and give him his adamant him back as for where that adamantine would come from since like we mentioned earlier. Magneto ripped it out a while. Back it came from logan's fo- cyber who had adamantine skin until genesis sick to bunch of mutant masticated beatles on cyber leaving only his metal. That shouldn't work if it was his skin. I guess this kid was just adamantine laced. So maybe they were like real small and got in through the little cracks. And i'm still calling foul there. I mean honestly. Let's be real. The idea of adamantine laced skin only vaguely makes sense anyway. So we're already suspending our disbelief. I mean adamantine general's pretty nonsense stuff fair. enough well. cannonball showed up to rescue wolverine bought. It went badly because cannonballs just a total new green sheild an amateur a country bumpkin who definitely never let any super teams for years and years. Well also he was massively massively massively out of his depth and out powered even by that standard. I know i'm just mad. At the way cannonballs written these days so to save cannonball wolverine used sheer willpower to force the adamantine him and also the brainwashing. I guess out of his body so that he could escape and save cannonballs life. For some reason this dialed his animalistic traits. Up to eleven Making them really really drastic. Basically he has to fully give into his feral side to be strong enough and now he looks kind of like a where wolfman with no knows. He's got a really if he haircut and his whereabouts are unknown. This is the beginning of a very strange error for wolverine as he's gradually trying to regain his humanity and eventually it just sort of stops lake. He gets his nose back as he learns to be human again. I don't really understand how it works. But the thing is actually works kind of well. Like the larry. Hama run of wolverine during this era is kind of genuinely good. I i really wish. I'd had the forethought to come up with something funny to say about role doll here. Oh yeah role. Doll lost his nose. Didn't he didn't tyco bray also is okay. Yeah yeah up top tax brought. He lost his news and a dual and had a prosthetic nose made of silver and gold because he was a styling motherfucker as opposed to roll doll who was getting adamantine injected into his body by cable son and had to force it out to save his teammate and his nose disappeared was also pretty racist which is a shame because i really like his books. God damn it. I hate it when that happens. Which is often you know so much would be solved. If people could just not be terrible for like ten minutes dear people frigging quitted. Come on and that leads us to uncanny x men number three hundred thirty two the road to casablanca written by scott lob dole speaking kind of pencil by joe madureira inked by tim. Townsend colored by team bucci letter by richard stockings and comma craft. And you know how we just recaps will ris number one hundred. While sodas professor acts at the beginning of this issue and he is making his case to zoe colloton who's a spandex clad agent of landau lachmann and lake a group that we've seen before though landau lukman lake are an inter dimensional intergalactic holding company of law firm They are all over the place. They've got their fingers in basically every pie in the multi-diverse. They're kind of great. And what i really appreciate. Is that chris claremont. I introduced them in his early issues of wolverine back in the eighties and just gave us the slightest hint of what their deal was. And all we knew is that wolverine was hanging out with some people for whom time didn't really work quite right and we didn't know why honestly i think they're one of those concepts that worked a little better when you know less but there's still a lot of fun in this era. They really are. Yeah and Colloton i believe goes by. The expediter doesn't she. She does indeed and the expediter yells at xavier about him being self righteous jerk and meddling in things bigger than himself and then proceeds to shoot eggs xavier in the head in order to protect land lachmann and lakes secrets. Now of course turns out that this was not really xavier. Who was killed. In fact the whole thing was a mental scenario that he set up and instead he freezes her in place in tells her. I'll make this easy. I lost sabertooth. I will not lose. Wolverine man. If i were wearing and i worked entirely. Feral i'd be super offended At the the implicit equation of those two. Yeah legit. But i like this. I like this. Take on xavier. i mean obviously. We know he's going to end up kinda sorta being onslaught the big bad that everything's been leading up to his dark side essentially onslaught and so having these scenes where xavier is just getting increasingly desperate and increasingly cold in that desperation. Having you know all the right reasons for doing things but getting a little bit more cutthroat in the way he handles those situations. I think it actually of works as.

It opens its mouth wide to cry out loud and swallows the acquisition station whole the world takes a breath. The entire installation is sucked down. Its gullet into its fiery belly. And to his credit carlos does a great job of drawing a gigantic goddamn explosion. But i think that narration really really sells it. I think the thing with megan's powers like they're not ill defined exactly. It's very clear what they can do. They can do so much that you of need to have a way of getting the specificity of these powerful gestures across the meantime at black hair headquarters. The technicians are dissecting doug lock they're removing his skinned head from his body and as they look into his robot brain they find information on the legacy virus and dunk lock. Kinda sorta wakes up during the surgery. I have returned to assist. What is the purpose of this zero zero zero. 'cause remember way back in the day even before the phalanx covenant zero the robot assistant of strife strike being creator of the legacy virus had managed to get that information into doug locks head so doug lock light cable is one of the keys to the legacy virus which will never be fully fully followed up on at all instead colossus will just Inject himself with a thing and that'll cure the legacy virus. This bothers me. Because that's the thing. Like the doug plot doug lock having the legacy virus info and his brain because he was able to see to humanity in another robot that robot was able to see humanity and him fest. Cool that's poignant. There's a link to strife stimulus with cable. There's a link to strife and so in the resolution to the legacy virus plot ends up being honestly kind of random. I feel like that's a loss. "S he steps into the sky. His powers ignite the powers of the captain. Brittany wants was a fusion of wild jeans and magic but he had given the names and costumes and wars up. He was happy just to build things. He can hear the hammering of war the distance he fears it while jeans and old magic. I love that like okay. We have learned that. Wore analysis is not necessarily a good person but god. He has a way with words. The narration in this round of excalibur is just stellar. sometimes it's appropriately purple which is very important sometimes exactly now that fear doesn't stop the captain from blazing on into claim his seat and the black queen misdeed. Yes we see what you did. There is very into this as free one but the red bishop challenges brian to a duel so brian casually knocks him over and take some his his rightful place as the black bishop the london hellfire club pink tie and all i really love the london hellfire club inner circles designs like. We don't get a lot of details about some of these characters but they are visually distinct enough to still be interesting like we have the red king who is this dark skinned man with face tattoos and long hair loose red clothing with his cool sword at his hip. There's the red queen. Who's this pink haired woman in also flowing but revealing red clothing hellfire club tall boots. These really like long needle like fingernails. The black king has awful bowl. Cut a tight black turtleneck invest in stuff a cigarette holder a pistol and the black queen. That is emma. Steed is dressed in black catsuit with a whip. Which i guess makes sense. 'cause you know like you alluded to. She's based on the character from the old british show the avengers willa named after both of them right after the avengers leads. And then they're scribe who this person. All in greyish white very angular doesn't quite seem human. So i liked it. They're also distinct. I liked they all each have their own little signature weapon like the action figure collector from when i was ten years old and me is very pleased by this fact. I find it interesting. How far the hellfire club has gone from. It's extremely rigid aesthetic when we first saw it. That's true of the american branch to the when we've seen them like originally the hellfire club all dressed in like the same rough motif and now they're all over the map. Yeah i mean they still all look like slightly wicked aristocrats but in very different directions from person to person. Yeah no the. They're general they. They've gone from lake. Kinky rich costs players just kinky rich people. Good way of putting it now. Meanwhile on your island. All-star gets debriefed but not like that and the team learns that black air is bad bad news. An all of the ways we knew. Plus they killed and dissected the war. ps which. I'm really upset about. Yeah like those delightful innocent funny colored children from the caliber story where alastair like was left in charge of them and they were all going to have a good life and they were all going to grow up and be weird together and now they're all dead. God dammit yeah. This is really fucked up. Black hair is awful. It's extra awful and they've also got some kind of nefarious plans with london hellfire club that will allow the hellfire club to run the country from the shadows. Which brings me to one of my favorite bits of weirdo. uk trivia which is probably not actually weird. If you're from the uk but if you're from the us might be which is that. The united kingdom has something called a shadow cabinet that is an official government body wo. Does that mean part of the uk. Government is like spooky ghosts. I'd like to believe so That's not actually the case but it is in my heart legit. Actually i don't know they still have appeared there. Probably part of their government is also spooky ghosts. But i don't think it has anything to do with the shadow cabinet As our british listeners can attest to j. You and i are experts on all aspects of british history and culture. The only country. It's funnier to make things up about. Is canada canada now. There's one team member of the team not counting. Amanda who doesn't appear in the story we haven't checked did not as doug lock. Doug lock does not have new costume but he does have a new outlook. He explained some of this to more mctaggart. Since i've wanted reconciled position between my do nature the mechanical logic of the alien phalanx and this tablet form of deadman doug ramsey. I should never have thought for the reconciliation. You see you can't force order on something. Chaotic is personality which is by random events and linkages. I've sent my brain to access m-link experiences and ideas at complete random. Just to see what happens. It was quite a paradigm shift to come to that conclusion. Link people. I should just see what happens. I shall either come out of it with integrated personality or i shall not do not worry more. Everything will be fine. I want to watch sunday town which he does until a black air. "Go away. She stopped short subtracting the electromagnetic field from the pilots. She's not here to anyone. And then she basically scolds the other pilots into just diving out of their choppers with parachutes and then delightedly compares herself to sigourney weaver when she comes back to her team. I love meghan. And one of the things i really appreciate about. This run is that she totally gets a chance to shine on her own. This one recognizes that. Megan is probably the most powerful member of excalibur and with brian. Braddock having decided that he doesn't want to be a superhero anymore. Meghan really gets a chance to shine on her own. And that's awesome yeah. Megan has unquestionably been the most powerful member of the team for a fairly long time. But as you said she'd been kind of doing it from brian shadow and seeing her. Step out into the lights great. It's also really nice seeing brian kind of step into more of his own distinct wool. Because as you may recall listeners so reluctant captain britain. to begin with. He was the guy who chose the amulet of right over the sort of might. Who was a scientist who really just wanted to understand things and got sucked into this whole superhero deal and with it. Massive massive massive amounts of trauma that have largely defined his life since. Yeah and after coming back from the time stream and spending while as britannic which i think we can all agree with perhaps not a great story move now. He's going back to what he always wanted to be. Which is just a guy that does sci-fi stuff. There's a quote about him having made the moonlight flit. That i think Sums it up pretty well. It's got a lot of him. He doesn't want to fight anymore. he just wants to fix things well. Brian may just want to fix things but what he gets is shenault bichon. That's right he's calling to see if british people do the sacks so she no bichon for anybody. Unfamiliar with one of our very favorite x men characters is on the american branch of the hellfire club. He has been for a while ever since he sort of but not really killed his dad. Oh he's not just that he's the black king yes he's the black king that absolutely totally knows what taxes and therefore everything sexy around him is not just because he's hoping that someone will let slip the answer to that question. It's because you know he just loves sex whatever. It is like to pretend that he doesn't know what sexist because it's pretty funny and also because you he comes across as that kinda guy anyway. Why is should be calling brian. I told you to find out if british people do sex. What is the additional reason that she has for calling. Brian fine He wants brian to join the british branch of the hellfire club which is up to some dirty business. Not as dirty business that we the readers because we've seen a few behind. The scenes glances involves both sebastian. Shaw nobis deposed father and black air also one of the inner circle of the london hellfire club has been replaced by a guy named mount joy. Remember mountjoy captain. Britain doesn't but fortunately he's got access to all of exhibitors files so he can read about him. Mountjoy is from his time. The mid twenty first century by all accounts he qualifies as a shape shifter but a closer description would be shaped steeler. He absorbs live bodies in his own and can use their form while digesting them yet. Mountjoy is a bad guy. He jumped back in time along with one of the baddies bishop was chasing and he's been killing his way around ever. since now. At the end of the bishop miniseries he was turned over to law enforcement. And we learn here that he promptly escaped because of course he did. The first page of this issue actually does with a close up of mount joys. Evily smiling glowing. I'd face so Pacheco carlos pacheco actually co created mount. Joined the bishop miniseries and kinda makes sense. That mountjoy is showing up again here. Despite the fact that x caliber has nothing to do with bishop and the way pacheco draws mountjoy is totally fine with that. This dude is creepy as hell. He'd like long haired widow's peaks. Evil psychically cannibalistic aristocrat. And i love him. I hate him. But i love him. Just powers are also incredibly cool looking on the page. Oh yeah where. He'll absorbed somebody and like their own. Faces will be trying to pull their way out of the hybrid form. You can see a lot of that individual companion to the episode where we covered the bishop mini series linked to both of those in the companion to this episode. That takes us to excalibur number. Ninety seven counterfire. You may notice a theme to all of these issue titles. This one is written by warren. Ellis pencilled by casey jones inked by tom simmons colored by ariane lynch luck and lettered by richard stockings and comma craft now will meccan incur dealing with allistair kitty and rain. Take the midnight run to brian. lift to the hellfire club. And i think we need to talk about brian's outfit that he he chooses to wear for his to the hellfire club and his his claiming of of the seat ancestrally to him because he's wearing his his wearing a blue navy. Blue suit the white shirt and a pale pink necktie and all i can think is that. He's he's he. He must think that he's about to show up and become black bishop of the local yacht club or perhaps the wasp bishop of the hellfire club. Okay you jest. I agree. This is hilarious. But i also think it serves a story purpose. It shows that. Brian doesn't actually give a shit about the way he comes off. He's just going into the situation with otter confidence. It also shows that the london hellfire club really doesn't have its shit together as far as dress code. Oh they really really don't but you know at the same time like i like this. Part of the story is the weight acknowledges brian's complicated past as he goes to become the black bishop of the.

"He is such a great person but to see the legacy that brian bolland asked onto richard stockings to richard stockings. Inspiring a silly little d. Like me i can. I can draw a very specific line back to ballin and anonymously. I think what we're going to see. You're going to hear a lot of similarities. I think from what i'm talking about in this episode of what i was talking about in the star girl episode. Where star girl. Last time we talked a star girl as a character is all about legacy. And i think what batman three jokers has done is carry on like a real world legacy of storytelling and this is like the most pretentious thing i've ever said but i stand behind it now. Being able to see how comics retreated. When batman came out eighty years ago to how comics retreated in the seventies. When you had people like neil adams drying batman and then in the eighties where we have a paro. We have the nineties where we got the the night of course the iconic nightfall we have. We have the nineties where we had multiple artists interpretations everywhere from like scott mcdaniel to We had ton mcfarland on covers. We had jokic assad. I was doing stuff before he was over at marvel and we had more of an attitude. Adjustment i mean. We're looking at a post. Frank miller world. Oh yeah we had the dark knight returns. We had batman you one moving into the two thousands and we had just like ridiculous pouches and armor and all of this other junk now up to twenty twenty tens and the twenty twenties where. We're seeing a more grounded realistic. Look when we have like frank beckmann payback and we've got jimenez generally throw him in there somewhat. Oh yeah i've heard of that person and it's it's very it's it the history of comics and the history of batman and the history of fandom and everything can you can draw a straight line that you were talking about how the joker was never really meant to be anything more than a one off and i would say nothing at that time was ever intended to be more than a one off..

"The period specific look of batman and the joker. We had a joker with a very long face. A very very angular features and we had like batman had like the longer ears and it helped define it defined batman for people like jason fe bach and people like tony daniel and the guys who are who are whore him in his. Oh my gosh. The people who are who are drawing batman right now for dc almost uniformly point at a paro. And then you know. They pointed a par for what he brought visually to a modern batman sale. And i honestly. I feel confident in saying what we're seeing with three jokers and jason box. Work is going to define batman moving forward. Jim lee helped define the look for all of the dc universe when the new fifty two launched years ago amassed and i think for that for that time with the we had the distinctive piping down the suits for everybody and and we've all kind of as the books have gone on with kind of moved away from that if you look at justice league like the first arc of justice league which is called origin. The new fifty two which turned into the moving justice league war. The animated movie Everybody wore kind of plate armor. And it's kind of transitioned away from that. But the visual language that was established by geoff. Johns and jim lee injustice area over through the new fifty two into the rebirth Going into even like doomsday clock. And we saw how batman and superman looked in that it has echoes going back to the new two and i honestly believe that the way fay balk has done. Every he's he's drawn the the best background but the way he's he's visually represented. Everybody and i don't know that we're going to start seeing it necessarily like in twenty twenty one or anything. But i think the way he's drawn these characters he's going to inform whoever's going to be drawing batman and ten fifteen years okay. This is what people are going to go back to. They're going to say i wanted. I wanted to use fe box. Batman or payback's barbara box. I think i think we're seeing a very important point in modern batman passing of the torch tomorrow and then you should mention that we also see the joker batman the killing joke. Which was alan moore and brian bolt. O'brien boland oh my gosh brian. I am excuse me. I have some dust on my shoulder. I'm facebook friends with richard stockings. A comic book. He writes elephant men. And i. I've had the privilege of speaking to him a couple of times and i run a comic bookstore here in lincoln nebraska and actually was able to send mr stockings justice league short box. Add all of the justice league with storrow on their faces. And i believe it was a ball in peace. Not one hundred percent but Richard stockings and i talked a little bit about how Brian balans work really. Just inspired him to be really better because he was just kind of starting in the lettering business when the killing joke came out and now like richard stockings name is synonymous with comic book. Sorry to get inside baseball. No that's that is a whole thing And the fact that he is one of my all time favorite writers now and just leave sweetest man on the face of the planet..

"You know it my heart pretty hard and thankful that I had put this project together because I wasn't the only one who was feeling it. You know now. Other people are Like I was saying with all the stuff that happened with you. Know the pandemic in in all the shows getting cancelled. I know how I felt and and I was really sad but at the same time you know I was getting all of the the kickstarter sent out. All the packages came in. And I got everything sent out Within a few days of each other like I would do a huge run. Send it out. Do another huge wrench of packages and send it out so everybody ended up getting on within a week of each other and everybody was opening them up and it kind of this gave them a little bit of happiness for what they were all kind of missing so I was really glad I was able to do that. And it made me happy. Even though we didn't have a physical convention this was so much fun to put together an insert thing. I'm GONNA do again. Yeah I mean I love that. You're like that you kind of I love the love that you put into it clearly but I love like for me for instance like I'm looking at this and I'm like okay so I did this. I'm doing these conventions right. I'm doing them one hundred percent for free and they're just they're going like I don't know like I don't know what's going to happen after that but like when I think of like how to monetize a thing in the future and how to like make it feel like a con experience like there's not very many examples of somebody who's done like a comic convention and actually monetize that in a way that made the fans excited about the what's coming even though it wasn't physically there so I love that I love all the things you're saying the most thing I love most frankly is that like people responded to it in a monetary fashion not just an enthusiasm fashion and they really they really like got behind it and like back the campaign and and showed you that there was a reason to do it again. Yeah Yeah I mean we do have got a click con- coming up with a Tom Hodgson and CBS. And I are doing a quick Khan and I can't say too much about it but he he announced it at virtue on this last weekend so I can. I can share out that we are doing a comic convention. We're going to do it. It's going to be a little bit about like what I had and then a little bit of something new so. I'm really excited about that. That's going to be a lot of fun because now it's not just a naughty ferries. Now it's going to be naughty fairies and you know to other creators in their New Books because we're all doing special new new stuff. Each one of us has something new coming out. So it's not it's not not as fairies per se from me that it's part of that universe Nestle that's all. I can say someone is looking to do this for themselves. What are the things that you say? They absolutely must like include. Based on your experience you can cut out all the things that like worked but maybe didn't work great or or They were there. I'm sure there were things that you know You thought we're going to go gangbusters. And they went and they did okay but they didn't do amazing so like what do you think someone maybe three to five things that someone must include if they were to do this for themselves and use this as a model okay so using what. I did as a model thing you absolutely have to have and actually I think I you have to think comic convention. What are the things that you always get or do when you go to a comic convention because everybody's Experiences Different Mine? Is visiting artist alley so artist alley was really really important iffy. You are one of the toy guys and you WanNa do your kickstarter and do a twig convention. Then that's where you need to focus. So I think you I have to identify. What kind of Congo are you are? And what kind of experience do you look for when you go to your conventions and then start building from there so number one you have to identify the best parts of the con for you and those are the people and those of the fans and the backers that you want to be part of your project Then you can build from there so for me. It was about The contract because I think when you go convention I have a box That's right by my front door has every badge from every convention that we've gone to in it goes into this. It was a I think it was the core bottle Box So it's glass in the front and then it's just what but box with an opening and I would drop our badges or wristbands or whatever in their pins And to me having a con- Badge and your lanyard is like right up there. If you don't mind do lanyard. You couldn't do response. It doesn't have to be exactly the same but you identify what it is that you want when you leave a show I like having the the program because I always go back through and I need to know where everybody is and I kind of map out my plan of attack when I go to shows I need to talk to wrestle. I need to talk to you know Ryan. I need to talk to you. Know Way and you talked to all these different people and I make my way through the show so I just took what I like an applied it to this. You know a project and I think it worked out well so my program. That's another thing that I think is really important and your bag so I think having those main things and then finding that item that people want you know for me. It was doing. Let's do a pinup issue. Because I wasn't gonNA have enough time to get the fourth book done because I just finished books three. So this was kind of the filler between book. Three and book four So I knew I couldn't have foot book for finished so that's why I went ahead and I opted for a swimsuit issue. Well I think that's really great as a for a different reason. Which is this. Fill the gap for you. You wanted to do a campaign and You knew you couldn't get another issue Al but you could put together an experience for people that they would enjoy and when creators any creator is looking at this now not necessarily they run a show whether you're looking to run the show but if they're just looking to say I I need. I want to run a project in January. But I don't have a book done or I don't have anything done like this is a great lesson in how you can utilize the assets that you have to make something that you can actually make money on the and also help your fans and also like like service your fans as well. I think I think this you know was such incredible timing that I could not be happier with how that part of it came out because who who would have guessed that we would be sitting here. You know in April not being able to go anywhere and I launched this January and stuff got shipped out the end of March beginning of April so I could not have planned this at all and to think that all this stuff happened in such a short period of time. I'm just thankful that I was able to provide people with something pretty awesome because if I tried to launch this even in February I don't know if I would have been able to get everything printed made and sent out into the you know I don't have pains gotta be really struggling because they're getting stuff from other places in the country that aren't open you know that's GonNa delay them out absolutely Absolutely so I WanNa talk about what I've learned from doing virtual conventions and on the guest list side of it so I have done a lot of work on the programming side And so I was really excited. The first time I ran this show just that just my show. WanNa con just to have people and guests that I really enjoyed a hanging out with like. I wasn't trying to book any big name guests. I was just trying to book people from the Wannabe Press family and do like a really small thing but for our new show. We're doing the online writers conference this weekend and then on. May First and second. We're doing all F C D Which is like Alt- Free Comic Day And there was a big difference between the reactions that I got from having my awesome group of Indie create or friends involved and now has more Wolfman as the headliner and Kevin Eastman and show up. And and and the drawing blood team David alone and Ben Bishop and troy level or going to do a panel and Richard Stockings going to do a panel and like it's not just now. The reaction from the press is quite a bit different Now that I can go and like put these names out there As opposed to before when I did it in a week so it wasn't like I was due had a big plan but just the the having the guest list where there were like known commodity names outside of outside of mainstream comic names are really made a huge difference for us when we were doing our press for these these two conventions. So are you. You said you're going to try and do you're going to try and bring programming into the next time you do this right yes so do you have any thoughts on like how you would run the programming next time or whether you would do live or recorded or or like what sort of what. Sort of methodology. You're thinking of for the next campaign When you come to your lives some some life life Panos is doing the the lifestyle doing Some some live drawings and sketches and and artists panels Crater panels. Things like that Like I said there are the next the next big thing I have. I'm hoping to get a book for ready to launch by Jim. And it's not gonNA be set up as as a convention it's not going to be con- of but come September we're doing click con- and nuts with Tom Hutchinson and see Zane and then I'm looking to see when a good time for our next comic convention will be and that will be when I kind of implement some of these other new ideas into it because I can't with With with book four. We're not doing Khan and with quick con- I've got other people that I'm working with and were still working out how we want to run things so I can't really comment on that part yet whereas by the time I do not if aries COMECON for number two for the second year I'll be able to you know talk a little bit more about that. But that's still that's probably six seven months away before I even delve into that project. Will it sounds great. I mean you you have sort of the con- layout part of it now and I think if you add on programming on top of it and and and and some lives sort of Functionality whether that's people paying to be behind zoom room or you do panels live on facebook I think that it's a great way to get more exposure for the convention. I mean it's a tried and true methods to get exposure for a convention because every convention uses it now to like bring in more Attendees and more and more people and get more eyeballs onto it right now especially I mean now. We've got all sorts of a virtual conventions happening You know I know Brian. Plitt oh did his His con not too long ago and he had panels and drawings. And you know like giveaways and things like that. I mean it was. It was a lot of fun a lot of work because I think they did was it. Three Day is an it was it was quite intense. Yeah absolutely what I really love. is for someone that goes the conventions probably and likes conventions and and Mrs that experience who wants to replicate that experience There's a template out there to to like you. Basically Took everything that she loved conventions and tried to replicate digitally. You didn't try and break the mold or do something crazy like it was once you broke it down for me. I understood what you were doing. You know you're you're bringing a bunch of people together. You are putting together a program book you are doing some live video. You had the swag bag that you see it every convention you took all of these elements that are recognizable to anybody who does conventions or enjoys conventions and you. You put it together in a package that worked online and a lot of fun and I'm expecting to see more of that stuff happening. I think I think now that it's out there and it's been done I. I think it's just get better from here..
