"It good? Is it quality? The question I never ask and it definitely hurts me financially, but I'm good enough so I don't need to worry about it. And that's again because of you guys, thank you. I never need to say, well, this get a lot of views. I can say this is good. And that's a big difference in most people in the media don't do. And I like watching the media scramble man when people after week on the packers, they sell them they're like, well air and blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. You can have the entertainment conversation, but it was so weird how you see the back and forth and back and forth about suddenly the forget Aaron Rodgers won the Super Bowl MVP sorry the NFL of appeal last year. Like Erin didn't suddenly forget how to play football after one week. I just had a bad game week one. It happens sometimes. I don't know. I don't know. I mean, it's a little bit fair to question the packers, but some of the stuff I saw were like people saying that Rogers doesn't care. I'm like, what are you talking? What are you talking about? Why would Rogers clearly cares about football? Watches mechanics. I have for years been a guy against Aaron Rodgers. I didn't like Erin for years. And the world has changed so much, I find myself defending Aaron all the time now. And I for years have hated on Aaron's leadership. How am I the guy defending Aaron? I hate when he glares it receivers. But I like what I want to do in this year. I went on a total rant there, I apologize. Thomas writes and he says, I did not expect the Broncos and the Raiders to be on top of their division, the AFC west at the end of week three. Yeah, it's a surprise man. It's fun, though. It probably is not going to last. But still, it's really fun to see Denver and the Las Vegas Raiders..

"I don't know. To me, honestly, my reaction initially when I saw that they were signing Richard Sherman to me showed how desperate Tampa is in their secondary they are so banged up. There's so many injuries in their secondary. However, I will say, even though I am very hesitant to praise this move and say, it's going to be amazing, oh yeah, even though I'm a little bit hesitant, I do also acknowledge that it is a good fit. He's a veteran. He's been around the NFL a ton. And the culture in Tampa, not only because of Tom Brady, but the attitude of Tampa, the way they cater to veterans and they work with their schedules and, hey, if you want to take Wednesday off to keep your body healthy, they're really good about taking care of veteran players and catering their approach to every player individually. And Richard Sherman is not totally useless. He's not the athlete he once was in my opinion. But he's really smart. He still has good technique. It's all like he forgot how to backpedal. It's not like you forgot how to keep a guy in his hip pocket or when a quarterback's about to throw the ball or the little tells. The mental side of the game and everything that Richard Sherman can possibly control, you know he's going to do it to the very best of his ability. And again, I do think that because of Tom Brady, that's a really good environment for a player like Richard Sherman to do well. They're in a position to squeeze the very last good football at a Richard Sherman. And it's a developing story. I am very, very curious to see how Richard Sherman in Tampa will affect that football team. And how good is he going to be? I don't know. I really don't know. But I have an open mind, and it's certainly I think he's going to put his best foot forward now. How good is he really? I don't know, but and I'm not, it would be disingenuous of me to make bold claims that he's going to do this and that who knows..

"Cold side of tough schedule early on. The offensive line was really banged up week one. I mean, you can't, you can't have half your offensive line injured and expect to do well. And week two, they played the rams, who might be the best team in the entire film. This is like the litmus test for Indianapolis. They played the LA rams who are potentially going to win the Super Bowl. And the rams won by three points. Against Indy. And if Carson Wentz doesn't get hurt at the end of that game, he left the game early. Carson could not play in the final drive, which would have given the colts an opportunity to tie the game or take the lead. What happens if Carson Wentz doesn't get hurt week two against the rams? That's how good the colts are. Don't sleep on them. And you know, they lost in week three to a pretty solid Titans team. Titans, by the way, in my opinion, match up perfectly with the colts. I mean, they just have a brutal match up for the colts. I don't know that the colts are going to be the Titans either time they played them this year. But the colts are better than L and three. Indianapolis is underachieving if you ask me. And I actually think that if the colts can add like a stud receiver, a man if they can figure out left tackle and get consistent play. I don't know that Eric Fisher is the guy. He's injured. I don't know if I trust him yet. Is Eric Fisher gonna be able to play next year and the year after that? I don't know or think so. If the colts can get another player in their secondary, they're two or three moves away. From like a Super Bowl run in my opinion. If Carson stays healthy, they add a couple players, like the cold sore a very good football team that should not be zero and three. And they've had a very, very.

"Three, two, one. Oh my goodness. Good morning, good afternoon. Whatever it is for you, I hope you're having a fantastic day. My name is Zach shameer. There's a strong opinion sports episode 300 and 90. We are ten away from 400. I remember 300. It's been 90 episodes since then. That's unbelievable. I've been pumping about like crazy. I love you. I appreciate it. I don't think I say that enough actually. I am just so grateful for the people who watch and listen to this podcast. It is 6, 55 in the morning, trying to get this recorded before the jackhammer starts. Probably at about 8 o'clock morning. So I'm trying to get it done. I got about an hour. Let's jump in. I want to start today with a correction, actually. The other day I said the Raiders won the Super Bowl in 2002. That's not true. I don't know what I was thinking. The Raiders did go to the Super Bowl in 2002. However, they lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who were actually coached at the time by John Gruden. It's a crazy story. In 2001, John Gruden coached the Raiders. And then he was actually traded. And yes, coaches can get traded. I think a lot of people don't even know that. He got traded at Tampa. And he replaced Tony dungy, by the way. Tony dungy, who went on to win a Super Bowl with Peyton Manning and indie, Tony dungy was fired after by Tampa, after the 2001 season. But then it gets really crazy because the very next year, John Gruden's very first year coaching in Tampa. He beat the team that traded him away in the Super Bowl. So in other words, the Raiders traded away their head coach, John Gruden, already a crazy move. And then 11 months later, after trading him away, they lost to him in the Super Bowl. It's one of those things where I wish I've been broadcasting back then. It would have been so fun to cover that. That story, that's as compelling as Brady versus Belichick playing each other years later. That's unbelievable. I mean, I was 5 years old and that happened, but I wish I could go back and that's like one of the only things in my lifetime I really legitimately missed out on that I'm like, man, that would have been an unbelievably fun story to cover. By the way, the Raiders traded, it's an awful trade. They traded John Gruden away for two first round picks and two second round picks, and then $8 million in cash. And now Davis God bless him. Maybe forever rest in peace. Old age. I don't know. I still, I wish, again, I wasn't alive really cognizant of the sports world at this time. I wish I could have heard the arguments people made because where people in favor of it did they like it. I know my history fairly well, but I don't know what the media was saying in 2001, or 2002 when the trade happened. So by the way, I remember John Gruden's last ever game..

Judge Orders Richard Sherman to Be Released From Jail Without Bail

"Sherman's arrest. This is a total downer right? It's depressing on every level. Just to catch you guys up on the latest things are settling down a little bit in terms of a judge did order that he could be released from jail without bail Thursday. Um, King County District Court Judge Far it's difficult Pacific Islander named Pronounce your Farm Mommy. The prosecutors did not ask the judge for a finding on a felony residential burglary allegation porches initially but they have not yet filed Chargers. The charging decision is expected today. His next hearing is set for two o'clock Pacific today. He does not have to be present. One thing that did happen is that his wife made a statement yesterday. Quote I love and support my husband. I am committed to helping Richard get the support and care that he needs. Richard has always been a loving father and husband. We are looking forward to seeing at home, this family. Unfortunately, the video of his door incident went public, and it's all very unseemly and said John Lynch of the 40 Niners told Matt Miyoko that he reached out to the Sherman family to be a resource help. I defended lamar to appoint because obviously he knows what those kids are thinking and feeling because he was one of those kids not long ago during the problem with lamar that i see from a distance is he's still got too much of those kids in him he he's still hasn't grown all the way up to respect and appreciate the responsibility. He has to his team as the face of the franchise and say a recent former. Mvp of this league and a man standing on the precipice of signing what the biggest contract in the history of the sport. You go hand lamar. You're right. I was out of line for for trying to give you some advice that could potentially help you. Take a listen to the issues. They made them from. He made me wealth. You better than me. He's doing the exact same thing. Lamar jackson is without putting himself at risk. Lamar i'm not criticizing you for going back and talking to the kids. Are they used to. Guys used to do a lot of a lot of football camp. Everybody had camped back in the day. Now guys do maybe like golf tournaments or maybe a softball tournaments but that was a big thing. When i first got into lee everybody had a football Have football clinic and they will put on for the youth and we gotta we gave the kids instruction we spoke each each guy. We have reggie white. In my brother's football care brett far barry sanders they all come. Speak positively positive toward the kids. Let them know there was something greater out there for them. then we're currently. Yeah that's all. I'm saying lamar. I'm not trying to crucify you for talking to the kids. Enchanted lamar didn't acknowledge. He's on a basketball court in street clothes in sort of st shoes or barefoot at one point he just shoes off and he's playing db and then he's running routes as a receiver on the hard basketball court on concrete. Well juris. I know he doesn't realize but you remember. We used to play artificial turf but they pulled it up because it said it was too dangerous. They poured it up so he's running routes basketball court. But that's not dangerous. Not imported up officials tour football players because they said it's too dangerous and the injuries occur occurring to regularly but lamar jackson played positions. That he does not play. He didn't want to play in rightfully so i. Would you know what. I should have kept my mouth shut. I'll keep moving forward now. How about this though contents at his teammates were left in shock and awe three honest this huge block on eight last night. But it's still better than lebron's because let's be honest about this lebron's blocked back in two thousand sixteen was assisted and set up by. Jr smith undercutting iga dolla. So again it's split. It was a bicycle built for two. In the end at least jaundiced went solo on his block. But you told me but you told me. Devon booker telegraphed a mile away. Just like lamar dea skipped talk about all the time that my brother going pro with the greatest thing for me because i saw somebody that lived in the house had the same upbringing ate the food that i ate he got here. I could get out to. I'm not criticizing. But you know what lamar jackson you right down my shirt and i normally do. I don't normally volunteer inflammation. Normally athletes especially football players. Were reach out to me or their representatives. Were reach out to me as they shut it. Can you talk that such and such would do you mind reaching out to them. I reach out to individual. We have a conversation. I say now your representative have my number. You're welcome to get it and call me anytime. So you're right lamar jackson. I shouldn't a damn if you get in your car and drive a hundred and thirty miles an hour. That's your life that your career. "Push the button to sit down eight and was headed to the pin house with a great lob but it was off-target long and high if the lobby had been at the rim we might have had a collision at the rim and at least eight and would have been going to the free throw line. But this way he's bending backward he's at a complete disadvantage here. It was completed vantage jaanus and to his credit. He went ahead and executed the predictable block number. Skip that the past wasn't perfect but it wasn't horrible either in eight and what a finish that play if he was alone or just about any other player in the league was there to finish that play so so that's not what stopped in remaking it was jaanus and like shannon. Say he met him at the top of the square. So everything you describe. You act like that simple to do as i say. What's the big deal about. You say both all he does is run. Well he does it faster nearby bells regardless maybe share. Maybe afghani davis could've made that play. Okay i'm gonna show one more time for chris's edification last year against denver in the bubble. I want to show you a colli lynyrd block. This is a man's block this where you go straight up at the rim with the wrong hand left-handed on jamal murray who has a full head of steam and tries to throw at right down your throat and coli blocks it with the middle finger of his left hand. It's all advantage jamal at that point. He's got the running start. He's got all the momentum he's got the force behind him and y just goes flat footed straight up and blocked it. That's a great block to me. That's a colty guesswork. chris. I just looked it up. They live tomorrow. Murray's high fix put three which means he's actually fix put. Thank you stop it. I looked it up okay. Excessive things skip. Not this is not been footer. Janas was seven footer. or seven footer. Yes so nice is a great black but on these blocking a to guard. Who do he doesn't have a running start like janas did. Last night wasn't running. He took a step no launch worth. There was he thought he he drops down and go straight up. That's what he does. We know he can jump out of the gym at six eleven. But by the way i got naptime after correct kris on one of the things he's saying lebron's block in twenty fifteen was a ten i mean. Jr smith deserves five of it. Then so it must be five and five. Because jr smith cuts off iga runs underneath him slows him up where he has to double clutch laid off the glass instead of donkey and lebron has time to catch up and chase down and blindside block. It sneak attack. That's is that a great block to you. Yes because he went awarding skip. Yup a you know that if the ball hits the war i is goaltending right video. Hit the backboard before lebron block it would have been goaltending was liberal. Have an inch leader. What timing was spectacular. Beverly hey fabric that. Nobody can score the basketball. The first team to score is a team win the broth. Not on my watch away. I thought kyrie irving hit the last shot to win. That game skill said the the first team to score was going to be the team that we and iggy had the first opportunity in the bronx. They're not on my watch when they call them to watch him 'cause he sees all now. I've never heard tonight on f s one. He was men's national team. Looks to take control of roof. Stage play with a second straight win as they battled martinique and the gold cup. It all kicks off tonight at nine thirty eastern on f s one and the fox sports app despite some public appearances at various golf outings. In the past ten days aaron rodgers has remained quiet but his plans to return to green bay. And now adam schefter as a warning out to packer. Fans are still hoping that. Qb shows up for training camp on july twenty eighth on his podcast. Schefter said quote. The one thing. I feel very comfortable and confident. In saying is aaron rodgers does not want to play there anymore shannon. Do you believe he'll never play the backers again. I know out of jeff debate. Well as adam schefter reporting on something. He's getting from big bear good authority. Actually we've got to your skipping nine thousand nine hundred. We're very good friends. Adamant i used to go out to eat a lot. We go to a lot and eating and converts. Even though i didn't divulge any information if you can believe that but anyways gift i will say this. It seems to me that aaron rodgers hell bent on not playing for the packers now the packers theme to be hell bent on holding him bear. You either play for us or you play for no one and there's a because what they're trying to do they're trying to have it both ways air we'll act we'll trade you but only the next year ariza's al. Now if y'all won't to play this year give me money. Give me guaranteed money and then you can trade me next year. But i'm not coming back and playing on this on this. These numbers with no assurance. Because he's looking at. I don't have anything to lose. I got nothing to lose and atom. Also said on the podcast. Is that tom. Brady is the envy of a lot of guys. Because they saw tom brady move from one location at the twenty years have no say. It didn't have a say in every decision that they made moving forward. Oh you wanna w brown sure you won't have to get gronk. Sure you go right tackle. Sure you wanna shady mccoy sure tell you guy you cut him anyway. I i won't that guy you don't bring him in so i will go. So where where. They're going to give me a little same paying. Manny started this kill because bateman came to deliver either. This is kind of what i need is where my career without before. He's not listen dismay all that. Now that you've got john fox so you won't drop it. Sure you always get georgia. Sure sure era says the all these other guys getting this and here. I am giving sixteen years and you give me nothing air roger. We gotta whatever you need. Whatever you want to denver. We got your bra. So i also know. Adam schefter. I have nothing. But the highest regard for adam schefter and your attempts to wine and dine him as a young reporter covering your your team so that you could buy insurance from. Him and favorable treatment were futile. Because there's no way that adam would stoop to any of that. I make that very clear now. Back to jimmy's question. I still have a gut feeling a sneaking suspicion. I could be wrong about this but i'm going instincts here. Well let me finish my sneaking suspicion. Is that.

"And then yes he says. I knew i i was too far gone so i couldn't blocked the ball. I couldn't go at the baugh. So i just jumped to put my hand in front of the rim. I mean that's a lot of thinking going on this list. Second so he does. His intelligence is on display his agility and athleticism and length is on its way because most guys in the league. They can't get to that spot. They can't go from stopping the driver to protecting the rim in one motion like john is did and then his strength remember. Loot eight is going up with two hands. Yom is this going up with one. And he stops eight from dunkin the ball with the one hand a lot of times guy might have enough strength to still dunk it over with if jaanus had just been able to commit a foul. That would have been a good play like it'd be faouzi. Mini doesn't make the basket because eight hundred sixty nine percents free throw shooter in these playoffs. That would have been a good play. They were up to but for him to be able to block. It may tremendous. And i just love it i think is shows allow the is there they score forty points the first two games or the last two games and people are talking about. Can they do it again. Like michael jordan. He wasn't having that type a night but he wasn't all his feelings. He wasn't focused on that end of the floor. He was focused on whatever it took to win the game and that block was incredible. So i'll give it a nine crews. I gave it a ten for all the reasons that you mentioned. Because he was able to play the pick and roll. He was able to stop imports devon booker to pick up his dribble. Throw the law. In all in one motion he drops turns and faces and blah's deondraye eight deandra eight nine seven foot tall. He the least a foot over the basket and so in one motion. I shut off the pa- shut up the pig. The roller because if he's not there if a yacht as does not show boogers just going to get all the way to the real or he'd shoot that little tim footer but because he sees jaanus eighty nine. This was supposed to be the aim. There's no possible way he can get back and defend this this loud duck. I got bored. He throws it in janas drops dip in goals. And i gotta go right now. Any blondes. i believe the only other guy that possibly could have made that play. If anthony davis because eve extremely long he did a great job plan to pick and roll and either great rim-protector but yokich is not making that play. Joel embiid is not making that play. None of the other big are making that. Play other well until i see. I'm sure there's a put if we were to go back through the archives and look at all eight games. But i know you can make 'cause i just saw it with my own. Two eyes and i was upset chris because they went replay it. I like he founded. He had to father. There's no way you're blocking a lump don't without filing any so i gave him a ten and you can't convince me otherwise bela's guys who news me. I'm highly entertained by both of you overreacting to what we saw last night. And i just one. Quick question for my man chris broussard. Do you have some greek back in your heritage. I'm not aware of. Because i don't know you become your biggest fan. I don't know maybe. I don't play okay. I'm gonna give this on a scale of one to ten o'clock. I'm going to give it a four. I was going to give it a three but just because it was so timely you can argue so clutch that it did quote unquote save the game at least for a moment who knows what would happen the rest of the game way. It was going. But i'll go up to a four because on. Just pure execution predictable. It's obvious it's adult. It's for us a very easy block to pull off because of the way the play unfolded. So he's showing a little bit on devon booker but he's not going to be able to block book shot a book just said i got this. I'm going to go off a strong. I'm gonna shoot a nine foot jump. Shot your honest not going to get there to block it. But he showed a little bit but then to his credit. He's just watching. Books is and the other one looks across the lane and locks eyes with deandra eytan obviously janas man and completely telegraphs golob and not only does he telegraph it because he's no. Cpi three but he throws a poor lob way too far in way too high for de'andre ayton who then has to been backward to catch. It loses all his momentum and all of his leverage. So he's again. He's leaning backward when he catches the ball at its apex when he high points it and it gives yanni janas plenty of time to catch up and explode running with the running. Start up into the basketball and meet him at the apex. All the leverage all the momentum belongs to janas at that point because he's got basketball in his side's and he times it perfectly. We're he's arriving. Just as eight is getting both hands on the basketball bending backward. What do you think's going to happen. It's going to be as easy a-block as janas ever had because eight is dead to right. There's nowhere to go with the basketball. Except right into janas says right hand. If he'd had the wherewithal he'd have the perspective maybe eight and would have given up on the lob dunk and maybe he would've just said whoops. I gotta spin out of this and go back to the floor. Because janas would've just run right past him and then he could have gone back up and dunked it but that's a lot to ask of a still very young deondraye eytan so i'm not going there but the point was it was a great hustle players. Yana said after the game it was just a house play. Once he saw the telegraph lob pass he just turns and he bolts across the lane and all the advantage belongs dion us. He's got a running start. He's as explosive a six foot eleven inch sleepers. We have in the league. So it's a really easy block for him because he can outjump deondraye aiden who stuck with an awkward lob pass and he did what he should have done what he predictably did do he blocked it saying. That's the greatest blocked ever symmetric scale. How many guys you believe can go meet. Another guy at the top at the top here did that but but for him. That's an easy blocked to me. But that's that's my thing hidden the whitman he has he was blessed with. Yeah that's an easy block. But here's the thanksgiving. He has to force devon booker to pick up his dribble and not to take the jumper so he has to show enough so both feels that he's got a challenge meal the jump shot and i can't get to the real so he has to do that in an all in one motion win book throws the love. He has to drop stale in turn immediately. He's just going to a point. He might not be there but he has to go to that point and meeting he by cody andrea with to the pit house. But little did he know that has appeared house top of his house if.

"Of thinking going on s second. So he does. That's his intelligence on display his agility and athleticism and lanes is on his way because most guys in the league. They can't get to that spot. They can't go from stopping the ever to protecting the rim. A one motion. Like john did and then his strength remember loot eight is going up with two hands. Yom is going up with one and he stops eight and from dunkin the ball with the one hand a lot of times the guy might have enough strength to still dunk. It through yanni's had just been able to commit a foul. That would have been a good play. Like thousand mini doesn't make the basket because eight hundred sixty nine percent free. Throw shooter in these playoffs. That would have been a good play. They were up to but for him to be able to block it mayor tremendous and i just love it. I think it shows a the guys there they score forty points the first two games or the last two games and people were talking about. Can they do it again. Like michael jordan. He wasn't having that type of night but he wasn't all in his feelings. He wasn't focused on that end of the floor. He was focused on whatever it took to win the game and that block was incredible. So i'll give it a nine crews. I gave it a ten for all the reasons that you mentioned. Because he was able. He played the pick and roll. He was able to stop imports devon booker to pick up his dribble. Throw the law. In all in one motion he drops the up turns and faces and the andrea eight deondraye. Eight seven foot tall. He at least a foot over the basket and so in one motion. I shut up. I shut up the pig. I get the roller. Because if he's not there if a janas does not show just go all the way to the real or he's going to shoot that little tim footer but because he sees yanni's eighty no this was supposed to be on the aiden. There's no possible way he can get back into this. This law got bored. He throws it drop step and goals. And he's like. I gotta go right now any blonde. I believe the only other guy that possibly could do play. Is anthony davis. Because he's extremely long. He does a great job a plan to pick and roll them a great rim-protector but yokich is not making that plate. Joel embiid none of the other bigs are making that play other well until i see. I'm sure there's a put if we were to go back through the archives and look at all eighty games. But i can make it. 'cause i just with my own eyes and i was upset chris because they went replay it. I like. He founded he had to a father. There's no way you're blocking a seven footer law. Don't without bothering him any so i gave him a tear and uk convince me otherwise. Bela's you know you guys use me. I highly entertained by both of you overreacting to what we saw last night. And i have just one quick question for my man chris broussard. Do you have some greek back in your heritage. I'm not aware of. Because i don't know you become the biggest fan. I oh maybe. I don't.

"Some in the nineties but almost all of his stats came in the two thousands. He's a borderline hall of famer. You have somebody like fred taylor. Who's a personal favorite of mine underrated. Yeah he's a borderline hall of famer. And i think he had over twelve thousand rushing yards in his career. You don't have him on. He literally almost doubled up. The career rushing yards. Brian westbrook. I i said before the show. And i'll say it on air. Pf is purposely making these tweets. Were they get the top ones correct in the whole bottom. Half of the list is people that don't belong there because they know i'll get a reaction and they're literally click baiting and that pisses me off. Because they shouldn't be doing that they have a better reputation than that but they've suddenly started doing this. Well that's the frustrating thing that the whole point of pro football focus was supposed to be. Hey we're going to go beyond the eye test beyond the bias is beyond that type of thing. Get you better information to make you smarter fan. And yet what they're doing here is just blatantly intellectually dishonest. And i feel like there's two. Pf fs there's the the pf all the ratings and things like that. Which by the way. I still respect i still. I don't think they're the end. All be all but i think there are a really good tool to evaluate players and i love that but the social media. Pf is horrible. Because they just throw out tweets like this and it's just like if you know anything about the sport you know they're full of shit right one running back. I just had to look at the talks. Felt like i was forgetting some people that i would probably personally it. It's a fifty fifty. But somebody like james now You don't edgerrin. James has almost sixteen. Thousand career yards from scrimmage despite the injuries and he has almost one hundred touchdowns to he did a lot in half the career. Edward james was a good player. But you put frank gore with peyton manning railway marvin harrison. I think his numbers. I mean you know. Gore was on those forty nine or teams. It was nothing there was nothing else going on with those forty nine offenses except frank gore and he was still churning out thousand yard seasons. The problem with that argument for me is it opens a pandora's box okay. How many really good running backs out. There were lost on really bad teams and so they don't get to be in this argument only because they're on bad teams. You know what. I mean like me. Start making that argument and you open it up to well. This guy would have done this if he was on a better team. This guy would have done that. You know what i mean. When they finished third all time in rushing they could be part of that argument. That's where i draw the line. Like i get what you're saying. But it's not like gore didn't also produce on those bad teams he he. He's not stephen jackson who had a really good career. Who i think could have been way better. But he was just stuck on those awful rams teams gore's third all time in rushing is he third where my saying fourth. He's thirty sixteen thousand yards. He's a. He's about a little less than eight hundred yards ahead of barry sanders. I don't know why. I'm i've been saying fourth but yeah gore's guess i'm i'm an odd duck because i truly can fully eliminate the fans side of myself But of course one of my all time favorite niners like you know you can see me on video our listeners. Camp right over my shoulder. I have literally like four foot by three foot photo framed. And it's frank gore the biggest photo on my wall. It's frank gore strew like. I'm a big fan. But i'm able to eliminate the fan. Part of me wants to say well if he's on better teams or in to me when you start talking about all time greats. They all put a big numbers in their careers. So i start to value who was truly dominant who who had the higher peaks and that's why i don't have gone on my top. Ten gore's peak is not as high. You can argue. That's because he was on bad teams during his twenties. But i personally look at it and there are guys that had two thousand plus scrimmage yards multiple years in a row and did it three or four times in their career and gore is one year like is one year of fifteen hundred or more rushing yards. I have a hard time saying a guy that only top fifteen hundred yards once is top panel time now you. Hey frank gore that's fine. That's just the difference between the two of us. I like the all time. Best players in franchise history. And you. don't that's fine. That's just how we're different your emotional in your fan and you don't wanna piss off other fans. Oh yeah that's me. i'm the guy that doesn't that that couches his opinions to not make people mad as i've just got all sorts of hate because i said george kittle needs to catch more touchdowns all i can say is you are definitely more a fan and i think there's probably in my opinion. A little bit of homeowners khomeinism. Coming into your opinion here. How dare you. How dare you question my integrity on on this network. You are a huge jerk. All right that's going to do it for this edition of the show. Thanks for listening everybody. If you haven't done it already please. Follow the niners nation podcast network. "Gonna show everybody more about Richard Sherman and you know, there's a partner. I'll be very honest with there's part of me. That feels the story years. Uh, Getting a disproportionate amount of attention, but I also recognize that everybody in the country it's the lead story nationally right now, and so it's in our backyard and be silly for us to ignore it, and I am interested in some of the details, And as I said, We're working for final confirmation on what would be a another very interesting Addition to that story, So when they get started with the reddening police and Sean, are you, uh are you rolling on that? Or you have loaded up for us to go live to it when it begins monitoring online and also t V for you. Okay, All right. So as soon as they begin, we'll hear what went down if you are just joining us. Former Seahawk Richard Sherman, who There were rumors that he was going to talk to the Seahawks about rejoining the team this year after his stint with the San Francis Niners Richard Sherman, about one o'clock this morning, his car on 5 20 allegedly hit a barrier went into a construction zone. All the tires popped. He continued to drive it on the popped tires. He went got off in one 48th ditch the car in a parking lot. And then allegedly, he went to his in laws House. Where they called police. And they said that somebody they know relative was trying to break in and this we're talking about very serious charge as it's been recommended. That he faced felony. Burglary, domestic violence charge. A serious lengthy prison sentence. If you're convicted of that, so we're still trying to get more details of what went down. Just look and see if we have anything new on this. The car crash happened about one a.m.. He was at the in laws house at about two A.m.. According to the police. He was unresponsive to their commands. He was uncooperative. And this they sent in a k nine dog that took Richard Sherman down. And he was taken to the hospital for injuries either from the car crash or the dog. We do not know. And then after that he was taken to the jail. He was denied bail. So keeping him locked up and I've been getting a lot of emails from people saying Wait a second. The guy who kicked a dog to death. In Pioneer Square, gets released with no bail gets just put back out on the street. But the guy who's in a car accident because he's famous, he gets held and denied bail. I can never explain And you will go insane, and so will I. If we do this comparative justice thing Because there is no rhyme or reason as to why so many people who have committed violent crimes in downtown Seattle why they get kicked lows. I mean, there's there was a guy who got released. After you know the violent crime last week because he was ruled too mentally ill to stand trial. And so they just This is the guy who broke into the apartment with an axe and a hatchet. And thankfully, the apartment owner had a pistol and was able to make sure the guy didn't attack him. But the the guy crawled up to a second floor balcony. So that the balcony door was cracked open because it was a warm day He goes into the apartment and the apartment owner got his pistol and was able to hold the guy off. But he had a hatchet in a duffel bag. He had an ax in his backpack. If that apartment owner had not been armed, he might very well be dead. So he forced the guy to climb back out on the balcony and climb down. There was a dumpster that he used to get up to the second floor. This 46 year old guy. And then the police come and catch him. We take him to jail very briefly, And they ruled he's way too mentally ill to stand trial. We'll just let him go. That's a good strategy. Let's let the guy who walks around with an accident. Hatchet. Let's just let him go back out on the street. And this is the same guy who 21 years ago. He did time for manslaughter. He was watching his girlfriend's little baby. Think I think baby was 16 months old. I can't remember off the top of my head, but, um, he says that he left the baby in the bathtub while he went to get Pierre. Then he came back baby was still in the bathtub when he left to get more beer, and he came back from the baby a drown. So instead of calling 911 the guy says that he tried to burn the baby's body first in a fireplace and then in a park, which would suggest to any normal human being. That the baby did not drowned. That the baby probably died from some heinous abuse from that guy. And and he burned the body, but since they couldn't do any and the exam of the baby's body They had to accept. This guy is saying that the baby had drowned, and so you only got manslaughter instead of murder. That's the same guy. Who did that 20 years ago who climbed up into the apartment last week with an axe and a hatchet. And he gets kicked loose because he's too mentally ill. So no, I cannot explain to you. I've gotten so many people have reached out and all I will say is the comparative justice thing. It will drive you crazy, and it drives me crazy all the time. Okay. I believe we do have the breaking news. The Redmond Police department is just about To have a press conference talk about the details of the arrest of Richard Sherman, the former Seattle Seahawk and Sean. If you and I are sync up, you ready to go to that. Yeah, I've got the TV going right now. All right, let's go. Let's go to Redmond and Chief Darryl Low of the Redman. Police officers attempted to de escalate the situation and gained voluntary compliance from Mr Sherman. Mr Sherman physically resisted officers efforts to take him into custody, and Redmond police Canine was deployed to assist in gaining control of Mr Sherman. Mr Chairman was eventually taken under custody. Both Mr Sherman and the officer sustained minor injuries as a result of the altercation and the canine deployment. Mr Ferman was treated at local hospitals for his injuries and booked into the King County jail. He was booked for residential burglary. With the domestic violence component, resisting arrest and malicious mischief. The domestic violence component results from Mr Sherman's relationship with the occupants of the residents. Not due to him, physically assaulting his significant other. The malicious mischief is the result of damaged he caused to the door of the residents, and with that, I'll take questions. Sir. So.

"That's one of my favorite sideline reporter moments. She's so taken aback by what is just like Okay. This is quite some energy that's happening. What? Who? Who said something to you like? Yeah, it was very real and sell. OK, So no movie. So could you imagine at that moment, which was seven years ago today, the denied the 40 Niners from back to back. Super Bowl appearances and that look we all knew at that point between the Seahawks in the 40 Niners. That was the Super Bowl. Whoever's gonna play Denver was gonna roll them. I don't know that the 40 Niners are to roll them like Seattle did. But those defense is so good. I think the Niners were one that Super Bowl, But at that moment could you have ever imagined Richard Sherman Sherman coming to San Francisco and being in love Too strong of a word? I mean, people have completely flipped on him, at least know that if you had asked me That night. Like as I watched that game as just a 40 Niner fan, Uh, I would have vomited at the idea of him ever putting on a 40 Niner uniforms like I was so angry, watching that son hated him in that interview, hated him, But I mean, that's why it's funny when you go back to Alex Wood in the conversation we had earlier about how like some fans get hot. Bothered by that. How hypocritical is that? We do this all the time we flip on. On people who were rivals moments before. I mean, I don't know if the O K C. Thunder were arrival, but we certainly didn't get bothered when he flipped from the thunder to the Warriors, and there's tons of examples of this so but yeah, there's no is the answer Your question. "I'm John Ryder Breaking NFL news jets have decided on a replacement for Adam Games after New York finished 21 14. They have hired Robert Saleh's The new head coach. ESPN is Adam Schefter and loved his energy bill of his outlook and loved his perspective. People loved everything about what he would bring to this particular job. They sat down, and from the time they sat down with him, they were enamored with the energy, the spunk, the intelligence that he would bring to that job. His players loved him in San Francisco. His players loved him in Houston when he was there you saw after the Jets announced the agreement with him. On Thursday night, Richard Sherman said the New York Jets got themselves a great one. That was Richard Sherman's words. Richard Sherman was a thing or two about coaches, and I think the Jets shared an opinion and that's why they gave Robert Sallah a five year deal. Robert Saleh, the Jets new head coaches, his first NFL head coaching job, spent past four seasons as the 40, Niners defense coordinator. Jacksonville Jaguars have announced the day of hired former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer as their new head coach. Former Masters and U. "That is an Arizona. That's where the 40 Niners will host the final game of the season as they take on the Seahawks. Now this that's an interesting cut there because Robert Sala is, of course, talking about it. There is a report today that said that the line is going to try to steal Seahawks general manager John Schneider from The Seahawks and bring the Detroit to take on that task with the Wolf Alliance. Roberts Allah is from the Detroit area, and a lot of people have speculated that he would take the lion's job. He mentioned John Snyder and the respect that he has remember he's worked for the Seahawks. And so he knows the way they could go. So let me ask you both this We're talking about free agents. We're talking about the quarterback position. But Robert sullen. You mentioned this earlier. Dennis, you know, defensive coordinators and how important they are. So they lose Robert Salas. So that's Kyle Shanahan can focus on the offense is he's been able to do And I know that Dante winners talked about This week that chemical Ryan's who was a great player in and of themselves, and he's on the staff that he thinks that he should take over the defense. If they lose Robert solid, Dennis. How big of a deal is it? And what do you know about Damico? Ryan's or someone else? Bring it or how big of a loss so that be for the 40 Niners? I mean, you look at this defense. First of all you're way saw last year when he did it. It seemed really easy to kind of game plan is defense when you have those those pass rushers upfront. Then look at this season and what he had to work with. After Nick Bosa went down D Ford wasn't there. Um, And you know all the other different injuries, Richard Sherman, and then the defense still played pretty well. So I mean, he has a There's a knack. I think as far as is developing young guys put them into a system running this system on getting the most out of players and he's a great motivator, so I think it's gonna be a huge loss. You know the 40 Niners? Of course, you have to go on finding the coordinator. But Him taking his talents onto another football team and the way he's motivated this defense, especially during this season. I think it shows a lot about his coaching his coaching ability. So, yeah, it's gonna be a huge It's gonna be a huge loss for this team. If if he decides to go. I think we talked about this last season, and he would be a head coach somewhere. It didn't happen, but we'll see what happens during this office and it seems like it. Everyone's talking like it's a done deal. But No, he's going to He's going to go, but he's going to take some players. You can guarantee that. Like I said, I don't know what the etiquette is, as far as taking players and coaches, but he's gonna be looking at. You know some of these guys that you know he knows that the 40 Niners won't won't be able to re sign He's going. He's gonna be looking at them to take to go with him to wherever he goes. It's an interesting proposition that they could be going after Schneider, too, because of the relationships that that's Allah has up in Seattle is well, if he he drags him over there, and maybe that's the move. I mean, if you were an owner, and you were gonna hire a tandem like that pretty good tandem, I think to go if you try to pluck one away from a Super Bowl caliber team, year in and year out, and then a defensive coordinator who just took a team and again what Dennis just said. Like what does that say about Robert Salas? Coaching ability that the teams are still looking at him like this? Mean, highly sought after potential head coaching candidate after the year, the 40 Niners had they look at him and what this defense was able to do without the talent that they anticipated. Having coming in that comes off back to our Solomon Thomas Dennis, the talent they anticipated they would have. Coming in this year. I think it says a lot about his coaching ability, and I'm sure he's a number one guy he wants to take. What about that you're talking about, like, whether or not it's appropriate. Is that a guy he'd go after he's okay. I'm taking solid with me. That's what's his number one go well, just as you guys said for me with solid and you guys all you guys know this. I mean, it's all about connections, so they need a GM. Well, if they're if if it's not John Schneider and somebody who doesn't know solitude, he's got to get to know him. He's gonna have a comfort level of a certain guy. In solid doesn't get that gig. Now. Look, I think Saul is gonna be up for other ones. If I could get the charges job with Justin Herbert there in the type of talent, both senator that's when I take, but he's from that area. A lot of people are assuming he'd be there. Look, I worked there. I think it's a dumpster fire. I don't It's just one of those franchises that's cursed. But hey, If he could get the gig, and he feels good about it. And you could bring in John Schneider a guy that you know. Then there's a connection there and then you because I I, you know, other than the proximity of that's where I grew up. That's fine, and well, that's not where everybody ends up. Now, if they put John Schneider there. Look, I don't think Seattle's gonna give him up. Now, if the Lions want to turn around and give him a first round pick or something like that. I think Seattle might might say we get Pete Carroll. We get another guy who knows. John Snyder's really get what he does. They know what kind of player that they want to get 48 hours or get into a similar fashion. But then I could see Robert solid there. But here's the other thing. They have been a lot of losses offensively, but defensively you start with bows. And of course you go to Solomon Thomas. But you gotta you gotta bhosle with that you're losing him. The amount of guys Sherman both safeties, Everett was down early is mostly has been in and out of life for him to have the kind of defense that he has, and there's a lot of different guys give a lot of credit to a lot of these. These guys, but T churn the way that they've turned And to be one of them is still one of the best defense is in league. You have a lot of guys credit, but obviously Robert Salas, the D. C. So I think the job he's done this year is absolutely amazing. Yeah, and then you gotta think about the defense of line. I mean again. I don't know. Some of these cultures were under contract, but you look at these coaching staff. I mean, he could Erica that defense of line. I mean, we saw what you did last year what he's done this season. Is that someone that you try to cherry pick and say, Hey, we're moving on. You know, Here's another opportunity for you, You know, to advance your career, and you know what I mean. I mean, it's it's so much in play. I mean, when, when coaches start When you start losing coaches, it usually shows that you have a pretty good football team. But if you're if you're having a bad season, you're still you know, one of the number one head coach is being sought after that says a lot about your coaching ability. Which what's interesting about this, too is this is gonna be the first time caution ahead and John have really had to deal with potentially Ah, lack of continuity coming into a following season, right? Like they've been able to sort of build this foundation with the same guys, you're in and you're out and they were able to block Did the block Michael floor from going over to a degree and a couple of years ago to join his brother, who they look like they could be going to. Ah, second straight by week into the post season after his second season as the head coach there, But this is going to be sort of a different angle and element that they've got A look at. This is what I mean with the uncertainty coming this offseason is it's not just the roster turnover. It's you could be losing a big chunk of your coaching staff. And how does that affect Potential retool. You call it a rebuild, but the pieces they're gonna have to rebuild with a retooled with for next year. Remember, teamwork is the secret to success. That's why dignity health services go for the Anderson can.

NFL WEEK 3: Our official predictions for who wins this weekend

"So. I gave talk about. Obviously a game that still sits our my mind from last week. The Atlanta Falcons go our land Alcan's play. The Chicago bears this week. Chicago was to know the Falcons are all into one o'clock on Fox. Obviously, the Falcons. About that the shambles, the the. Disgusting performance that we saw last week losing a game that they should've never lost Dallas cowboys now going to Chicago bears team defensively is still one of the better teams in the NFL. Immature bisky while not playing. Ultra, great. Still playing well enough for them to win. If, you look at this game, you would think the Falcons will win because one of the Falcons do have going for them as they do have one of the better offenses in felt even to the two weeks you've seen that. And they're going to a bears team that. Can Be, offered to challenge America can be limited. So the Falcons you put up points. The game should be over now the falcons defense does have some questions, but I do think they would put voices should be enough to create distance in the bears it'd be able to pick up the whip. Obviously the bears are companies just gave a lot of confidence. As they should. To An older, start the season I mean. I saw some Falcon fans tweet about it. They don't necessarily want the T. Blues remember they're only to the of this dot over by any stretch. But people really what? Dad Queen Gone. And so. It's Cadillac Party. Wants. To lose. The ship but the Chicago bears going to three eight. Oh probably be one of the young shockers of this early season. I'm going to very hastily picked the Falcons to win this game. I think they they are the better team. Now whether they actually leads to the results on Sunday we'll see but I'm going to go the Falcons to win this game as they are the better team to me. I, Think Matt Ryan will continue his great start to the season. I think are often will continue to click. There are questions of Julio. Jones will play this Sunday I. Think he will. He usually plays to injuries when his Julio not move something now he did. Have a setback in practice but. You know I think. He should be able to go. and honestly, if he didn't would be great for my fantasy team either but I got kindergarten if I need to step up or racial gauge. So yeah. But yeah with the Falcons. Next game forty niners, giants, I've this Games interesting. Remember last week. The point is playing metlife stadium loss Garoppolo MOATS are. Bosa, Thomas they lost a lot of guys last week. And the. Giants team who? Looks like they'll probably be at the bottom of the barrel the NFC east. Especially after losing saquon Barkley. For? The. season. When I players were scared to play at metlife stadium because they felt like the the stadium turf in and everything was the reason for a lot of those injuries that they had last week when they played the jets. Now. I it's. It's interesting to see what it's GONNA be 'cause they're playing a backup quarterback backup running backs they got sued offensive Lineman. I still don't have Richard Sherman. You have a lot of injuries. and. So this may be a winnable game for the giants I mean, you don't really know what to expect from the forty niners this week. So it'd be you say here they of Jimmy, Garoppolo at least played to me I. Think you would be like, okay for eight hours I think we'd still be able to win, but we don't know how good the Ford back for Norwich backup QB may play. I mean, luckily, the void ours have a lot of defensive talent still. So it's not like older pleaded they have nobody but. It. Isn't as comfortable as A. But I would still in my right mind, go with the four years to win the game.

Report: NFL will add playoff team to each conference beginning this season

"Says these NFL expanded playoffs is people saying wait what and if I expanded playoffs that's right Adam Schefter Anna no where everybody know this was coming I did notice is common debt the NFL's thinking of expanding the playoffs it is only gonna do it and add a seventeen game which we've heard Richard Sherman among others no they don't want any part of that strongly again once their bodies man I mean it you know so the players are going to vote on this but obviously you know it's all things bargaining and we'll see what they get Emmanuel Sanders played seventeen last year was a big question I have is if this were to go through and then with the new play because because I heard you talking about this today does that mean the new playoff format for number one seed even would include you would have to win three playoff games just to get to those who want to get to buy once he gets a bye you have to the other six teams play three winners emerge in there for shop at the to see now would have to play well card we have that's the change so it's still like the Packers getting a bra they wouldn't they would have they would have to play but that same with that's that that's the interesting thing is the Packers would have not had a bye neither would Kansas city Kansas city whatever to play four games to win a Super gaffe gonna be that one see that's why it's a lot of exchange that's like a quarter of a season rail like that then what what players get in return is an up tick from the forty seven percent of total revenue they're currently guaranteed over the full CBA so that they would go to forty eight percent they get more money what is that going to compromise a level of football two by the tech guy can be like that's already did but that went like you don't you might not be getting the best product because now you talk and seventeen games plus maybe four plus two it's just too already players are gonna sign off on these do what they are we'll see I don't know I don't know about that one the fact is being reported by the likes of a Mike silver and Ian Rapoport in Adam Schefter means we're getting close to his Shafter okay give me some shifter on this we're gonna get more regular season weeks we're gonna get more post season games more wall car action and one of the players get an increase in their percent of the revenue now right now the NFL players get forty seven percent of the current revenue under the terms of the new deal he'll be forty eight percent for sixteen games and forty eight and a half percent for a seventeen game season which means a shift of five billion dollars that's five would that be billion dollars so the players get a lot more money the NFL gets more games to sell which equals more money and basically there's more money for everybody to go around the ever the old phrase everybody has their price there you go you know policy ever made a scene I mean eyes their price and they did that players like no no no no no five billion nine maybe and I'm pretty sure they somebody always talking right the seventeenth game I don't think would be added until the twenty twenty one season but the fourteenth I guess the thirteenth and fourteenth playoff teams could be added as early as this season is that correct I'm not sure twenty twenty one well the the at the current buyers following this season right but they're still talk about adding the playoff format I think they could change with approval but is this good for football the like is this good I wonder it's gonna do like the ultimately the product to be honest I can honestly see load management entering the other that's all they're going to have to the human body can only take so much they might you might see a stud like George killer somebody like sit out a game I wouldn't I would totally understand that you can't expect the human body to survive twenty one an NFL full on from there so few gave you got a win everyone of you place you can't load manage too

"Which teams fan base. Have you seen show up in larger volume for this super bowl. The chiefs the forty nine. It's really interesting when the chiefs chiefs won that game against the Texans. I mean incredible game right. I'm sorry I didn't start going. We've both been credible Adam Schefter we saw a huge pop from chiefs fans when the niners beat the packers. We saw kind of a large base of people people purchasing tickets. But not as big. What's happened over the last few days however is that niners fans are starting to flood it? They've got the notification for the price alert And so I flew in yesterday from San Francisco where I live in eighty percent of the flight must have been Garoppolo or Eric. Sure Era Richard Sherman jerseys an and so. I think it's going to be fifty fifty in the stadium going to be hard to tell because it's GonNa be a lot of red bull's dream crusher. N.F.L. Declines to Suspend Tyreek Hill After Domestic Violence Investigation

"The Kansas City chiefs have dealt with domestic violence with a few different players. But without a doubt right now the most prominent is star wide receiver tyreek Hill. I can you tell me about tyreek hill as a player and what he brings to the chiefs. Offense tyreek Hill is one. One is the most dynamic exciting explosive most fun to watch players in the NFL. He's very small wide receiver. If you were to Stanek some at the grocery store you wouldn't look at the sky and say wow he's an NFL player but when you get them on the football field key is arguably faster than anybody anybody else in the NFL. What he's able to do when he gets the ball in his hands and space weather? That's catching a pass from Patrick mahomes down the middle of the field. The Thai Rico. Taking jet sweep out of the backfield or catching a punt or kickoff return kill to the outside electrify in for the touchdown. He's one of the most exciting players in the NFL and he's expected to play a major role in the super bowl on on Sunday Probably being guarded by Richard Sherman. Can you describe what the matchup with the niners is GonNa look like yet. It should be a really great matchup between tyreek Hill and Richard Chairman. Who is the star? Cornerback for the San Francisco. Forty niners and one of the most interesting XS. and Os schematic thing. That's going on right now. Is How the chiefs are GonNa find ways to get tyreek hill away from Richard Sherman. Because they don't WanNa throw against Richard Sherman so the goal will be to find ways to get the ball to tyreek hill. Line him up in different places get him the ball and creative ways so that. They're not putting him in one on one situations against one of the best. quarterbacks and football tyreek hill was making headlines even before he ever played a single. NFL Game. Can you tell us about his college career and the incident that happened in December of two thousand fourteen yes tyreek hill kind of had a winding college football journey. He actually started at a community college and Kansas before enrolling at Oklahoma state and in his first year at Oklahoma state in two thousand fourteen he became a star immediately really because of his ridiculous speed his strength as a special teams players apart. returner this but late. In his only a year at Oklahoma state he was arrested and accused of domestic violence in an incident with his girlfriend who is twenty years old at the time and he was accused of Punching Ching her choking her and also punching her in the stomach while she was pregnant. tyreek hill was brought here to the pain county jail. His arrest comes just one week after for he was the hero of the bedlam game. So is arrest on the charge and almost immediately was dismissed from the Oklahoma State football team. He pleaded guilty into this domestic violence. Charge in addition to a battery charge and he was sentenced to three years probation. He was also instructed to go to anger management counseling to undergo domestic violence counseling. Although he was never sentenced to jail time He was able to continue his college football career when he enrolled at the university. I see of West Alabama. That's a division two school and then in April of two thousand sixteen sixty fifth in the two thousand sixteen. NFL draft against it achieves slack. Sorry Cal Wide Receiver West Alabama so it was a surprise. Actually that tyreek Hill was drafted because in in two thousand sixteen. We were still not that far removed from the Ray Rice scandal and you know tyreek Hill at kind of become kind of a poster child for a guy who got in trouble while in college in he. He was seen as one of those type of guys whose character red flags made him undrafted. He's had some issues domestic violence issue that that frankly frankly I thought might keep him from being drafted. This guy has blazing speed but the Kansas City chiefs went ahead and drafted him anyways. They drafted him in the fifth round in large part because of his forty or dash ty which was four point two nine seconds which is elite speed one of the fastest times that at any NFL players have run in years and what the reaction when he's drafted. It was pretty negative. We have to remember that. The Kansas City chiefs went through one of the most horrific horrific incidents in recent. NFL history in two thousand twelve. When one of their players linebacker named Jovan belcher killed his girlfriend and then committed suicide right in the parking lot of the chiefs training facility belcher turned one of those guns on Perkins reportedly shooting her nine times at the home? The couple shared with their three month Old Daughter the child was spared. This is a wound that was still very raw in the Kansas City community. You know very tragic senseless murder suicide aside and here the chiefs are drafting tyreek Hill player. who had pleaded guilty to very violent crime against his pregnant pregnant girlfriend and so it was? It was largely negative response especially from from female fans from the survivor community. I find that really frustrating that We're still holding up these celebrities As you know oh working on things things are getting better. We don't know what she's going through. And it's important to note that when Giovane Belcher thing happened Andy. Reid was not the head coach of the chiefs yet but he was tyreek Hill was drafted. And what's the response from from. I'm Andy Reid and from the chiefs front office when they start to see some of this backlash you know. The immediately held a press conference and tried to talk about all of the work that they had done into studying tyreek hill. Well we have our due diligence. We're regards to fooling vetting. Each one of our draft class members. They spoke to WHO His coaches and they also spoke to the prosecutors from Oklahoma in the domestic violence case and they said all right we. We believe that this guy i. I won't get in trouble again before given the opportunity for a second chancellor on the right things and so he's he's been in counseling. Continue to be in counseling. We've got a great support system here for that and that he would be a model citizen and largely for his first couple of years in Kansas City he was and despite this pushback that they're getting from fans both in Kansas City and across the country Tyreek Hill remains on the chiefs after after. He's drafted and he starts this season as punt returner. How does his rookie season go? Spectacularly from football perspective the open field. He's they're gonNA take special chance to sit in started out as kind of a wide receiver. Who is kind of buried on the Dutch art? But he was their primary punt returner and within a couple months of his rookie year. If you went to a game at Arrowhead you would see fans wearing that number ten tyreek Hill Jersey and every time that he would go back to catch a punt. You would hear in unison. Fans at Arrowhead stadium chanting tie wreak tie reek and he would feed off of it. The crowd would feed off of this energy. And you know. It didn't take long before. He became one of the most beloved players on the chiefs roster because of his football prowess and in spite of the ugly history that he had coming into the NFL and in the next few seasons go after the two thousand sixteen season so as far as football it only continued to get better for tyreek hill so as a rookie. He was primarily early. A special teams player. You know we mostly just saw him returning punts and doing a fantastic job of that. He was an all pro his rookie year. But you know after that first season he became the chiefs number one wide receiver. They moved him from a special teams roll into a role where he was going to be a major part of their offense and he handled that Smith winds up getting Franch Kansas City. He exceeded everybody's expectations as a wide receiver. She became at that point. The most important piece in the chiefs offense and then in March of last year tyreek Hill is back in the news with new allegations of child abuse. tyree kills three year. Old Son suffered a broken arm in March of Twenty nineteen. And how this this child broke his arm. That is the big question and that was what investigators in Kansas where tyreek hill his fiancee. The mother of his son were living living and ultimately nobody has determined how the child suffered this broken arm in April after about a month of investigation the district attorney in Johnson County. Kansas Released a statement that while he believed a crime had been committed they did not have evidence that can conclude Who who the perpetrator was? So that meant that it could have been tyreek hill. It could have been his fiancee. It could have been a caregiver a short time later. The case from a criminal perspective respective was ruled inactive the NFL's investigation and the Department of Children Family Services. Their investigations continued however and then the day after the district attorney in Kansas declines to press charges audio between Hill and his fiancee is released. What you'd rather him somehow or he fell one of the two? Then why does say deputy. Why Oh and just to clarify for listeners? Be Fiance Crystal. That he's talking to on this recording is the same woman that he pled guilty to abusing in college. Yes initially in April liberal part of this audio recording released and it was very damaging to tyree count. You could hear tyreek Hill could parading his fiancee. You know using threatening language is terrified of you and you say that he respects you but it's not it's not respect it's terrifying. He is terra of we need to be terrified of and the immediate reaction to that in the media from from kind of within the NFL world was how could they not charge him. After this month's later the full audio recording was released which you know didn't didn't necessarily tyreek Hill in a better light but it kind of even out the conversation a little bit reports he wrote. And if you want to rewind that night we can rewind that night to my house and pick you up and slam you know picked up and put out on my door and after that you've built bruises come from tyree waited the bruises. Come Out I'm asking. Where did the bruises come out to hit Youtube? You too and it was full audio recording that I believe is really the key piece of evidence for the NFL that led the NFL to their decision. To not ultimately punished honest. I recall after this investigation.

Super Bowl LIV Preview

"Today ahead of Super Bowl. Fifty four we break down just what to expect when the Chiesa. He's the niners square off on Sunday. I mean at times it's Thursday January thirtieth this espn daily presented by Dell small business. We are on radio row right now. ESPN daily is in the back There are radio stations across America. ESPN shows everyone is at their booths. Interviewing players analysts celebrities stars. And we've got one here with us. Dominic foxworth radio row is madness. It always ban is but it's like three hundred people gets bigger and his crazier every year. Well Luke speaking of madness this game people having trouble picking the winner I think because it truly feels like the two best teams made it to the Super Bowl. I feel like I'm just GONNA. It was Patrick Mahomes. Because it's not GonNa be fun rooting against him. We'll be more fun rooting for him than against it. Let's start by talking about patching mahomes chiefs offense versus the San Francisco Forty Forty niners defense. Which is sort of the strength on strength matchup in this game? I think history would favor San Francisco because the recent super bowls elite defenses. Have come out on top. The two thousand fifteen Denver Broncos the two thousand thirteen Seattle seahawks. We don't need to talk about what happened near later. The two thousand eight steelers ninety six packers list goes on typically offense loses according to our friends at stats and Info so the niners are the sevens team in the last fifteen years to make it to the super bowl with fifty five or more sex the other six teams all won dominique. We've seen how disruptive active this pass rushes the secondary ranks near the top of the League in stopping deep passing as the linebackers fast they can move laterally. Which is the chiefs specialty with their sweeps and screens? And all that said tell me how the chiefs offense can still beat them. I mean I have never seen the chiefs. Offense actually be stopped in any legitimate way especially with a healthy Patrick mahomes and he is healthy. And that's the difference is when we've seen great defenses. Losing the Super Bowl. It's been all time great quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers one of the people who did I did not think Patrick Mahomes is obviously in that category. As far as this town is concerned. If you were the niners defense how would you defend Patrick Mahomes this explosive chiefs passing attack. So I think you have to mix it up. That's the best thing you can do. And you also have to understand that you're not gonNA stop them. They're GONNA make plays they're going to score points. But you need to try not to give a big play. Touchdown don't stress about them getting to the red zone but play well in a red zone which the forty niners haven't been doing which is scary. It's interesting right. Yeah the the niners defense ranks. Thanks near the top in most statistical categories this year. But you're right. They have been less. Efficient are actually been below average in the red zone. They've struggled to stop the run there. which cheese haven't really been running the ball lately? They've also struggled this season against mobile quarterbacks now that requires an enormous caveat which which is that D. Ford niners pass rusher at Kwon Alexander. LINEBACKER missed a lot of games during the regular season but you look performances against Cuyler Murray Lamar Jackson Russell Wilson. You saw those were the games in which they struggled a little bit more for what we've seen from Patrick Mahomes in this postseason is is an insane ability to take off the football as the leading rusher for his team and the playoffs so far and I think that he's always been comfortable with it now that his knee is gone a little bit unhealthier. He's more apt to take off. But I think that's less scary the him getting outside of the pocket throwing like I'd almost rather him try to run it for twenty yards. Because what happens win. He buys time against the forty niners. Specifically they're not traditionally man coverage team but everything turns the main when the quarterback starts to scramble like. That's your your scramble scramble roles as a defensive back or linebackers find closest guy and stick to them everything tires demand at that point in there they just frankly. The forty niners don't have the secondary speed speed in secondary and to be fair to them. No one has a speed and a secretary to run with McColl Hartman and tyreek hill specially with the arm. That Patrick Mahomes has the the chiefs are the best st passing team in the NFL or close to it. The San Francisco Forty niners are the best at defending the NFL or close to it. Something has to give live. How do you even begin to defend all of those weapons? especially if you're the forty niners you play a pretty simple cover. Three quarters mixed in there. Do you change it up. What do you do with Rick Chairman? You have to change it up. You can't survive and covered three. Andy Reid loves four verticals and with that speed and in Patrick mahomes arm strength and accuracy. He will eat you alive in the same with four verts. Would it really comes down to is pressure which is why I think that blitzing is a smart move. You WanNa make them get rid of the ball quickly and tackle but you're not gonNa do it every single time and if you give him one opportunity unity he can make you pay so you need to get the Turner was when you get those opportunities. I think they should be more aggressive than they've been and try to force them to get rid of the ball and make tackles. Yeah if there's been a weakness in this defense dominique. It's been the other side of the field for Richard Sherman originally weatherspoon more recently. They've been playing a manual. You'll Moseley a corner. He's been better but undeniably. That's an area of the field. I think the chiefs would like to target so much of the performance of the San Francisco Secondary. It depends on the pass rush getting home and you know as a former DB pass rushes the secondary's best friend a lot of the great statistics we've seen from the secondary can dairy are the product of this pass. Rush being so explosive a pass rush that turns into a murderer's row. Win The big four Defoe Award. DEFOREST Buckner Eric Armstead and it boasts are all on the field when those four players are playing their sack ratio. The percentage of drawbacks drawbacks in which they get to the quarterback jumps from six percent to twenty three percent twenty three percent of the time. They're taking the quarterback down So Eh my question to you is they've been able to get a lot of pressure by just rushing four. Do you think that they'll have success against a chief offensive line. That's probably one of the better offensive lines they faced aced. No now. It's just for. I don't think they can be able to stop him. The more I think about it in a way that you framed that I think made it very clear my mind is I think they're going to have to flush them out. You got to get him to run with the football or get them uncomfortable to get rid of the football. Because I do think that the chiefs offense line is good enough that they're not just going to get massacred. And then you put on top of it. The chiefs offense is not one that killed by a fact like most offenses. If you second now it's second and fifteen second eighteen it's over it's third and twelve. It's over over. It's not true for the chiefs offense so they can get pressured they could get a sack. Can Patrick Mahomes can make a play in overcome that so I think that the the worst thing they could possibly do is believe leave. Their Front for is going to be enough to stop this chiefs offense so far this postseason what we've seen from Patrick. Mahomes is a record performance. I quarterback in NFL history to throw for two fifty at rush for fifty consecutive games in a postseason. Do you think he keeps it up. And that's a difficult question because yes you can think he'll play well but we're talking about playing at historic level. I think he does keep it up and I think I've said this a lot in to the point where people make fun of me is that he's never had a bad game and that's one of the most mind blowing. I guess you can call it that you see from a guy who's who's just been starting for two years played a lot of games and there's never had a bad one like mediocre is the worst as you get out of them in in the big games. He's been fantastic gets thirteen touchdowns. Yeah no interceptions in his playoff career. And I know it's been said Ad Nauseam nor is why they are in Super Bowl last year because of off someone lining up offsides so like I've yet to see him shrivel into big moment he only seems to get bigger and until I see him Have a tough outing going to lean in favor

Can Sherman, 49ers stop Hill, Chiefs passing game?

"Tyree kill we got to talk about him because he's the game breakers speedster and I just don't know if they have the speed to stay with them yeah could be the game Burke if you let him get deep a couple times you're done so I mean he's gonna be a key player that they've got the fourteen hours have got to stop if they're going to stay in this game yeah I mean if you flood those zones and Richard Sherman and the rest the secondary can't keep up with our retail you know the patriots had the plan last year right the man coverage underneath the safety over the top that was costly shading over to Terry kill side of the field they need a plan like that to take away Tyree kill that that may not necessarily matter much of the other guys are open but they have to have a plan for Tyree kill it can't just be out what we'll see how it goes which is Richard Sherman was at stake can you cover Terry Kelly so we'll see how it goes I literature recover tire kill no he cannot I mean Mike you know we how many times have you and I've been by kind of pound the desk over the last few weeks talking about like if there's a there's an area that's susceptible for yardage in the forty Niners even I still think it's outside on Sherman mostly at the corner position and do you know to to Sharon's point Tyree kill you know whether it's the three deep Seattle coverage your man to man they both play like man to man and I don't think they have that guy that can sit there can Roma Tyree kill so to me I would think a big aspect of the game or I would wanna attack of I mean you read out go man I got this guy with a rifle for a right arm and a guy who's got three rockets up is but on the outside running I would either run by people or they're gonna be so scared you're gonna run by by that when he puts the brakes on runs of fifteen your come back or anything like that he's going to be wide open I would think that is a part of this football game

Super Bowl Bound: 49ers and Chiefs

"Did bill. We made it to the Super Bowl. You me and Jimmy Garoppolo. I feel I I may have sweat more watching the NFC championship game. That Jimmy Garoppolo actually swept playing being in the NFC championship game. Bill Barnwell is a senior football writer at ESPN and the host of the bill. Barnwell show so after two weeks Of Extremely Exciting Football Championship weekend did not disappoint niners and chiefs fans disappointed pretty much everyone else or at least anyone who wanted close close games both favorites dominated so let's start with the most dominant team the San Francisco Forty niners bill win the niners packers met earlier earlier. This season. Aaron Rodgers had one of the worst games of his career threw for one hundred and four yards. Tonight he threw for three hundred twenty six yards But the result wasn't much better. Why is that okay? So the first time these two teams played the niners won with an absolutely dominant. Pash Josh Rush Nick. Bosa and his teammates knocked down Aaron Rodgers ten times on Sunday. The only knockdown Aaron Rogers twice and while they did hold them without a first down conversion in the first half both of those games the packers movable pretty consistently I should say after after halftime instead the forty niners otherworldly in a different way on Sunday they ran the ball forty two times for two hundred eighty five yards and four. We're touchdowns averaging nearly seven yards per carry to put that in context. ESPN has a stat called expected. Points with measures how each play impacts team's James Chances of scoring on a given the forty niners racked up the second most rushing. EPA for any team in a game this season and and the most for any single team in a playoff game over the last decade just narrowly beating out the prior record holder. which just happened to be the forty niners? Twenty wanting twelve playoff win over. The Green Bay Packers would Colin Kaepernick. Ran For one hundred. Eighty one rushing yards. So they're leading rusher tonight. I was not Colin Kaepernick. It was re Moster who ran for two hundred and twenty yards by himself. were good has hat trick the first half of the NFC championship game deserves a hat trick of field grade baby bill. Will I am guessing. A decent amount of football fans hadn't heard Ramos before tonight. Okay so you mustard is basically it accident accident in football terms but it's such a cool story so the Shanahan offense has a history of unearthing obscure running back and turning them into stars going back to Mike Shanahan stays in Denver but even among those backs most particularly remarkable case. Liners did everything they could to find a different running back over the past a couple of years. They hand picked a runner who they traded up to nab in the two thousand seventeen draft never played a game for the team. They signed Jerick McKinnon Torres. ACL He's collected more than and twenty one million dollars for the niners without ever playing a single game for the team. This offseason they added. Kevin Coleman from the Falcons who suffered an injury in the first half and that opened up the door from western and most of its story is easy to root for. You heard him talk about it. After the biggest game of his life on Sunday crazy that I've been on seven. Different teams actually still have cut dates every before every game a look at the dates when I got cut not everybody can can deal. Would that type of stressing the pain and agony I went through. I kept the faith to not only myself but whoever gave me the opportunity is organization has done a great job most are made the niners roster as a special teamer at first but after he looked good in limited time last season they gave him a three year extension after playing. Well this season most are just became the first running back. NFL history to top two hundred rushing yards and scored four rushing touchdowns in a single game. That's never happened in the playoffs playoffs before pretty good for a guy who was really an afterthought until the two thousand eighteen season. What's just remarkable? Bill is those two hundred twenty rushing yards. Were nearly three times as many yards as Garoppolo the night as quarterback past for which made for a remarkable stat sheet. There was a point in this football game where according to ESPN stats and Info. Jimmy went ninety four minutes in real time without attempting a pass so I have to ask going into the Super Bowl. Is that a sustainable offensive approach. I mean we all had that friend and in our twenties who got by succeeded solely because they were good looking right now that friend is Jimmy. Garoppolo I mean in the divisional round. He barely through through the football in the conference championship game. He barely through the football. We saw a similar situation with Ryan. Tannehill right over the first two weeks of his post. The season and when Tennessee ran into an offensive juggernaut with the chiefs their offense with Danny Hillis not able to accelerate into a higher gear. Now of course Garoppolo is the one who has to face the chiefs unless the forty niners can shut down the Kansas City. Passing game with their pass rush which isn't out of the question they're going to need to throw the football more quite a bit more. We've seen the niners succeed in games or Garoppolo and to throw the ball at ton with the Saints Win. Maybe as a notable for example but since Garoppolo through that interception against the Vikings in the divisional round cow Shanahan has called seventy one runs against just twelve passes passes even if the niners do end up throwing the ball effectively against the chiefs. It's clear that Shanahan doesn't WANNA put the game on Garoppolo shoulders unless absolutely necessary and that in itself is telling throughout the game bill packers fans were frustrated. Understand police and they seem to be taking out some of their wrath on the coaches arguing. They should have devised better game. Plans to both run the ball more and stop the run and do you think there's anything that Matt Leflore or the Packers Defensive Coordinator Mike Patton could have done differently in this game. Yeah I think so I think to be fair. Shanahan might just ask pedants number. It just felt like you is several steps ahead of the packers defensive coordinator and when pen and tried to adjust it just never seemed to catch up and work there. There was one play I think in the second quarter was a microcosm of everything that went wrong for the packers in this game. They came out in their nickle package with five defensive backs against the forty niners base. He's too back offense which created the size mismatch. The niners pitched the Baltimore and not only did he have a huge hole but he made both safeties with on their tackle attempts downfield win for about thirty yards. pedants struggled to put his players in positions where they could succeed and meanwhile leflore didn't coach like a guy who was a seven point underdog. The packers punted. I believe on their first drive on fourth and one from the fifty yard line. We know the packers are enormously more effective offense with Aaron Aaron Jones on the field but the floor still Jamal Williams their backup running back. Play over thirty percent of the offensive snaps and he didn't really take advantage of move the niners movement Richard Sherman. That was really fascinating during the regular season for the niners and during the vast majority of his time in Seattle Sherman signed up for almost every every snap asked the left cornerback. Defense playing against the right side of the offense. The niners started the game on Sunday. Which chairman on the opposite side of the field on the right side of the defense on the left side of the offense against devante items and while Sharon didn't travel to the left side very frequently? He did do it a few times during the first half. The second half Adams was able to be isolated Sherman over the top for a huge play downfield. I think that played about half of his snaps on either side of the field. I would have liked to have seen for trying to isolate him against German a little more often and take his chances with
