"Turning to the author of Elvis in Vegas how the king reinvented the Las Vegas show Richard John one near record this came out I just don't know if you like it strong suspicious minds. in if you go to a Vegas golden knights game whatever the music tends to be kind of a hip hop range and dance music is that but there's nothing like the song viva Las Vegas is almost the official song of the day yeah I know that was the you know that became the iconic Vegas fell I and you know I don't think it's a great film from any means but that song the certi perfectly captured the spirit of Vegas the movie is good because add to it in the end the travelogue Vegas in the city a good glimpse of Vegas in nineteen sixty three you know lots of scenes of the strip and then they should the show girls and everything it is a fun movie to watch in real time capsule any Margaret's always a pleasure to see yeah that was the first time he had in his movie of real co star who really held it's own held her own with him and even upstaged him a little bit the colonel was always was very afraid that she was gonna sort of steel show from Elvis and one great great performance by an one last thing about the book L. this year. it's great for people to want to hear about Vegas I mean I got when I was fascinated like just on this subject comedians you talking about when people like Bob Newhart who at the time was considered extremely cool can you just act a little which really kind of tells you about Vegas prior to Elvis's appearance yeah I did I really think the book does two things it's a story of Elvis and and his relationship with the Vegas and it's a story of Vegas and how it's a it's it's heyday years and how old was changing and how how what a great magnet it was it was for all the performers as I said as you say that you think of the Vegas comedians that the the traditional lounge comedians the don Rickles and checking greens and then you think of the Jack Carter is that the sort of one line or guys and then but then I I I I saw almost every comedian played big is Bob Newhart and Shelly Burman guys who were sort of the new wave back then were considered more cerebral kind of comedians not typical biggest comedians even Woody Allen played Vegas near the end the sixties at Caesar's palace would be actually you know enjoy doing Vegas so even though he told me he was always disappointed he could never fill up the auditor the the show room and his first get a get that Caesar's palace when it was done he he was he felt so bad that he couldn't quite sell out to show he offered to give back some of his salary which has to be a Vegas first exactly what is sort of an entertainment standard if you if you think about me I'm Richard Pryor one of the greatest comedians to ever live and he said himself it was a place where he never really was able to truly be themselves okay it's one of those places were it's one of those check marks of being a super duper star yeah you know guys like Richard Pryor and and George Carlin who really the new generation of comedians in the late sixties and they had no sort of empathy with last Vegas but they still played it because that was the place you had to play. that was a sign of success so you know even they they didn't feel comfortable there they did Las Vegas and then they they kind of departed as Vegas because that's when things started to change college concerts and and other arena shows will be it were becoming that the venue for comedians like that and then I guess H. B. O. came the final thing shore yeah and so then you know Vegas is you know Vegas was changing and then the called whole culture was changing. this is a fantastic book it's Elvis in Vegas how the king reinvented the Las Vegas show by Richard saw Glenn who's a great author hit your book on Bob Hope I absolutely loved. and that work when we get the book which I assume everywhere sure all the bookstores on Amazon and yeah pretty much everywhere there's an audio book in the kindle and all that you have to you have a website too I DO Richards Ogwen dot com easy to find we.

"Welcome back our final segment with Richard John Glenn here his book Elvis in Vegas what was said Richard that got you to write this book about Elvis in Vegas well you know I started out I I wanted to write a book about Vegas is golden age of entertainment because no one had really done that before sort of I want to go from the rat pack to Elvis but I as I got into it and I realize what a long connection Elvis had with Vegas I didn't realize he'd play Vegas first in fifty six that he went there often and that it made a really great story so I told the star I sort of tell two stories in the book story of Vegas in the sixties and the story of Elvis in the sixties climaxing with the big comeback show in sixty nine that's great we're working on getting way Newton on the show so when I do I meant when I pop you want to asking a few questions when the tough guy to get to use it you know some friends of mine in Saint Louis who used to work in the lab and Wayne is still still doing this thing yeah so was Tony Bennett yeah I yeah well Tony yeah that's what this story is how much of an influence the Chuck Berry have on Elvis well sure Elvis a new Chuck Berry stuff and and respected all those guys out of the fats domino Chuck Berry people who you know I think he he he didn't like being known as the the the original rock and roller because he knew he took a lot of his music from from black performers who had done a blues performer for him and Chuck Berry was certainly one of the guys that that Elvis really loved and respected but it was just Elvis was the one that sort of brought that that music to to the broad big you know audience and so that's why he was the most important of all those early rock and rollers go back to the phones let's say go to Damien and Washington DC welcome to the program hi Damien are you doing great soon thank you I told you a very famous family and was was a fan of my uncle my uncle is a great pianist Justin is Billy Taylor really yeah that's my fault he was a giant yeah and I have this piano which he gave me as a kid also I I paid my way always want to do my own but I gotta admit my uncle actually just being is that if you open a lot of doors sure and I said many connections I manage inner payment and my group from the Philippines a wasn't time personal data group to be famous but I had many many people but the most and the best friend there was Otis Blackwell I don't know if you remember Otis Blackwell yeah black will route the biggest sold for elements and colonel Parker faded like a hundred and twenty five books read full yeah firstly was this about that and was virtually nobody did here order today Elvis Presley gave Otis Blackwell a new Cadillac really well well that's a story I haven't heard but I'm not surprised because of this did that kind of thing for a lot of people a lot of performers too what was the song don't be cruel don't be cruel old girl I'm a hold on a minute come up here now yeah it was all shook up don't be cruel an old return to sender return to sender while I remember that that's great sub Damien thanks that was you know all those magical written by other people Elvis didn't do any writing himself and that's one of the things that happened in the sixties why things change suddenly the Beatles came along and and people the rock performers had to write their own stuff you know that was that was a thing you're right singer song writers and Elvis was not he was the old style where he would he would Frank he'd never pretended to be a songwriter he was but he was a great singer he took those songs that he made him great those John Lennon and Paul McCartney strings they were in there were they were good writers if they were and he and after them it seems like everybody had to be a singer songwriter you you at it it was you had to express your personal you know feelings in in your music and and not just sing other people's songs but I I always contended that that there's no shame in being just a singer I mean Frank Sinatra was a great artist to even write his own calling to run a lot form to that tape that's right Paul Anka one another another very big Vegas performer who I I talked to for this book median Lebanese guy interesting because he was a course in early rock and roll over and he became a a Sinatra like performer he he idolized Sinatra and when he grew out of rock and roll he became a different kind of you know night club performer and a lot of the early rock and roll is Bobby Darin same thing they felt as I as I said you know rock and roll was sort of his teenage music and these guys this thought that well it you know when we grow up we got to do something else we can't keep saying and rock and roll the idea of a rock and roll we're continuing to do it you know into home base which was something you know they'd never heard out so it was a different time Bobbi deren went way too early in his late thirties thank you he said he was sorry she was a great Vegas performer as well yeah next up let's go to Curtis in Indianapolis welcome to the program I Curtis are you good what's up got a quick story for ya que el was pro L. what else is last concert was here on the map but the market square arena and they now make sense for that building down but they got a plaque they're worried you know state matter was as last live concert while that he always used wiped the sweat off of his forehead and then give the scarf to the to the women yep and my mom loves my dad to take my mom for her the last concert and she actually got two of those scars wow and that she got on she's got him in a picture frame yeah hello up on a wall in room one over in one of the rooms in the house and she's like all week I'll never ever she goes when I die those go in the casket with me hello but another quick thing I would like to ask your guests the day he died they said they found him in the bathroom yes okay so I know that when he died that there was they had I guess it was the Enquirer or the star a tabloid had taken a picture of him and have him laying in his casket yeah my question is you had ever interviewed the the the people at the mortuary because you know all the stories came out that he's not there you know he's your inspectors that that the fake body in there and all the stuff you never ever heard our I have in any way anybody had interviewed or talk to the people at the mortuary with who that will be the actual embalming about in who took that picture was it a family member or somebody from the band somebody took a Richard you know I'm not sure that picture but somehow it got out that was yeah that was unfortunate and I don't know it is who is interviewed at the mortuary I I think that you know it's pretty clear that Elvis died and and the you know the girlfriend ginger who found in there has has talked about it and it was it's you know it was he who was such a shocking event but and and I can understand why people kind of wanted to believe that he he wasn't dead and that the you know one in they didn't want to die the way he did that's right and right it was a it was a crazy thing that night he was you know he was playing racquetball that night is it at night the night before he died and he just went he went to bed and he kept taking see was you know was overdosing on sleeping pills and you kept the leaking when he couldn't get to sleep to take another round of sleeping pills and people just want watching him and his heart just couldn't take it yeah but anyway yeah let's go back to some of the I I I I I was interested in the story about the Elvis wiping the sweat off and throw in the the towels out into the audience you know that with Elvis was a great original performer but he he got that from somebody else you got that Tom Jones was in Vegas before Elvis he was about sixty eight Tom John you gonna picture Tom Jones in your book yeah yeah and because they were friendly they were very friendly and Elvis saw L. common in Las Vegas and he told time you know I'm thinking of coming back I want to come back and do a live before me and he watched Tom show and Tom did a very high energy show and a very kind of sexual performance in tight pants and he would do that he would sweat and he would wipe the sweat off and throw it out in the audience for the women and Elvis pick that up from him interesting Cindy's with us in Colorado springs Colorado hi Cindy hi George good to have you with us thank you thank you very much questioner story I our story I was in grade when I got introduced the eldest son of girl brought the album cover and all the girls gathered around and you live that it Danielle which was really dead and my girlfriend her father invited me to go with them to the international Las Vegas wall and we got to find a little plane you was her mom and Daddy her and I and we went and it was a dinner show you know you sit there and have prime rib in training general Alderson yeah it was pretty hard how close did you get to where I was so excited so we got your state at the international we were like three floors do you laurel Jim he was in the suite no yeah it was really cool you never forget that will have the menu I love it Elvis never like those dinner shows you know he likes like people eat while you know he didn't like glasses clinking else like that that was the way you know that's the old sort of night club style no that was the front tier that they changed right well the hotel the international with the hotel at the frontier was where he first played back in fifty six okay if the international in in sixty nine was just being built Kirk Kerkorian we had built that hotel and it was sold a couple years later to the help so it became the Hilton and it was kind of the Hilton that that I always became identified do they knock something down to build the international hour they didn't that was it was in an area off the strip near that new convention center for the fairly new convention center so it was I don't think they knocked anything down but it was it was in an area of people kind of didn't know are people going to go off the strip you know the strip where all the famous hotels are but this was in the convention center area and that hotel you know was very successful for a long time series with go ahead it's still there but it's now called the west gate that's it okay yeah I mean the change so much out there mark heck that's probably one of the oldest hotels all the old classic hotels the the desert in the sand this affair there most of them gone Riviera gone we are all gone yeah let's go to Terry in Boise Idaho welcome to the program Terry hi hello and finally the idiot after all these years I listen to you every night thank you and that and Richard thank you so much for writing that book well.

"Richard John from way good morning and thanks for being with us this morning conversation with deadly shady standing by the reminder as we begin this morning if you were planning to go to steal his training camp today the Steelers have changed their schedule due to the death of receivers coach Darrell Drake the team will not be practicing today they will be playing Kansas city at Heinz field on Saturday so they're going to resume their practices tomorrow at Saint Vincent college well again our our thoughts and prayers with the Steelers organization and the many many friends especially with the players that he mentored that have reached out from everywhere for coach Darryl Drake that said they did play a game on Friday the take away ad from take a look and that's what you do you look at individuals more than the team result so to speak what did you like in what you saw well there were a lot of the white wary and John and I think you start with the two quarterbacks the backups I thought they played well both of them you know Josh Dobbs threw the ball well he's he's having a couple really nice runs he looked faster and quicker than I remember him from last year find a flashback to Kordell Stewart when he was running windows runs funny you say that because he he was movin he looked very good and then Mason Rudolph came in and started throwing to his old college buddy James Washington with some success the of four receptions in a touchdown he looked good yeah and I wrote about him James Washington you know he had a good preseason last year has had good practices two years he just didn't have a good regular season last year we came along toward the end of that twenty eighteen season and look really good the other night that's the James Washington we've all seen and practices and everything he needs a can't continue that because you know it wasn't as big a deal last year he was a rookie in Antonio brown was still here but now there's a big big hole there in the wide receiver group and he's one of the ones they think might be able to help fill it can you had that big tall tight end who's who's that guy cut the touch down in the end zone eighty eighty one eighty one actor entries as name by the way yeah he is the rookie was a quarterback in college and he was a late round draft pick you know he can catch you can't block even in a marriage counselor back appearance on yes do you have openings behind transmetal tight end too and they're all trying to fight to make the roster yeah I'm fine ritual in so Kevin Rader also saw a lot of time and did some good lord and lady character yeah unfortunately a fumble but I I okay we'll hold that the idea and what he did so good blocking I did notice I was looking at him because you know you always kind of root for the local talent to but who is devil in Hodges the fourth quarter back he came he probably played first time more than and exactly who's from Samford which is near Birmingham Alabama but he did some good things to eat he put himself on the radar maybe for somebody yeah I'm not this to you know but he has looked good Sir the spring you know he was a trial you didn't sign him underneath invited us to their rookie camp and signed them after that and he he's a quick decision maker is accurate is problem is he's on very tall dark that's why he wasn't drafted but like you said some other team may be looking at him all you mean one order back controversy here in the Steelers scale now now with a controversy I I use the other see word competition hello it's for number two behind the walls I'll tell you why this is for all three of the guys back in a band Friday night they all had moments and look sharp ballots flip everybody the number one pick Devin bush is this guy is good as he is supposed to be on paper and from what the fans saw it didn't take long for them to say okay yeah this guy's pretty good he I wrote about earlier the fellow I wrote about after the game ten bowls there twenty two total tackles in the first half he had yeah the chief seven solo albums sold the had fifteen sold crackles he had several re all Asia that intersection is not down on himself he's not a guy gets down on so he's very confident but he said he said I had that one and I would just put a big fat exclamation point on his one half the floor well it would have been good to see but it wouldn't have mattered because they were Steelers are penalized on that play still it would be no yeah before you go and how does this work in game two with a preseason so we didn't see hardly any of the ones on either side will we see you won't see any of them this weekend either and you might see some you won't see Pam Mason Rudolph the assertion holes will start this game at quarterback well you might see a few more for steamers in there they won't be in our long the third game is the one that's in Nashville against Tennessee the following week and by the way one more guy what I have to mention Chris Paul as well that was the big big big thing big issue all last year and this off season and he looks pretty good he was solid all right I will look forward to our conversations with you appreciate you coming on this morning thank you all right thank you yeah by the way we're talking about Devin bush another ever referenced the Steelers number one picks name mystery Devin bush if you don't know he was unbelievable in his first game yeah and Devon white who was picked ahead of him by Tampa Bay also a linebacker I think talked about the Devon's right going into the world Devon white into much of anything yeah I think our Devin out them in the I think you may be right well this may be a sign of the times you've heard is talk about mention this in the past student back packs a block bullets we get the story from Stefan Kaufmann of CBS parental concern.

"Wednesday. January sixteenth two thousand nineteen. I'm Larry Richard John chamois off for his birthday little tradition. Paul John likes to take off when there's freezing drizzle. Did you see him on TV last night? Yeah. Where was he? I don't know where he was. But he was waving. I didn't get to turn up the sound. I was in a place where I could do a, but he was waving snow shovels around. And whenever you see John chamois, waving snow shovels around. It's not a good not a good thing. No. So we do have some right now delays. I guess because of the light freezing drizzle. Now, that's almost doesn't even show up on the radar screen when I got out to the car this morning. I was surprised because I checked the radar before I leave the house every morning, and I get in the car, and I just candidates little missed on the windshield. I hit the wipers and I get driving. And then I realized I gotta put my wipers on intermittent. Because this thing is Kennedy just slowly missing over the area. So we got to get to the list of the school closings. It's not that extensive, but I have a feeling that could change. So we have a list of a number of school districts that are just coming in now and. Trying to bring up the school closings. For instance, Apollo ridge. Armstrong school district Butler area. These are all two hour delays Butler county area. Vo tech clarion area school district cranberry area beningo county forest area. Seneca valley school district two hour delay south Butler county school district Saint Luke's Lutheran school, and that's the local ones that are on the list. "I'm Larry Richard John chamois on his holiday break. So are talking Tuesday excited to have Sally Wiggin was just announced last month or official retirement from W T A ATV, you got one more show chronicle this Friday at nine about holiday tradition, and it's really lovely. Yeah. Yeah. It'll be more. You got to do something more. You're not gonna just fade off into the sunset. Actually, I won't be. I won't be doing anything on broadcast television for a year. Okay. And but. What would I do what I do? Well, you bring me not gonna work with nonprofits. I am doing that. I'm already doing that. And i'll. Yes. And now ramp it up and Ukraine, Joe DeNardo. And Bill Hillgrove an an I would do the same. Because you do you. Do you do an enormous amount of work? But I watched I had good mentors to watch those guys. You know, they give back you gotta give back whatever you're doing. And you know, what O'Brien and Gary did give back as as you know, as crazy as those do were crazy rapier wit sarcasm. It covers up how generous in Jack bogut on this very radio station came all the way up to clarion university to be in our window when we mimicked their broadcasts for children's hospital in that was so significant to me, I never forgot it. And I said, you know, you got to remember where you come from. And how to give back sight credit him for that too. Yeah. And and you really do what about you? I wanna talk about Sally Wiggin. What do you want to do? What about it is really makes? Me uncomfortable to talk about you. Yeah. You're not very cystic, y'all. Actually, I have been diagnosed as excessively empathetic and another term for that masochist. Excessively empathetic, which is not a good thing. Apparently, we don't have that issue here the plant. No, are you serious? Now, I was surprised that you were so open about your alcoholism. And those hadn't been up until up until I this is my third recovery. I've been in recovery now for six for six years. And I realized I was I was emceeing the gateway rehab gateway rehabilitation, I'm a board member emeritus. And I I realized that if I was if I were going to stop I like to use the jump subjunctive, it's not used often enough anymore. If I were to stop the only way I could do it would would be to go public. And it's a lot of celebrities have done that and sports stars. And so Sally there isn't a family or person listening who is by addiction either as an individual or a family member friend. Yeah. Exactly. So I just I was seeing and I got up, and I just said, oh, by the way, I'm Sally Wiggin. And I'm an an I said addict because when I was in college for a year, I was addicted to 'em Fettah means and back, then they said, oh, you can't become addicted. Yes, you can. And so I say addict, but my chief might chief drug was alcohol and so. See that's probably surprise a lot. A lot of people people who've seen me, oh, it's ugly ugly mean finding I was funny. Our? I wasn't mean I was finding drunk, but I was obscene. I I had potty mouth. What about all? This me. Known about all this me too stuff that you see going on because you're a woman at blazed a trail through I. Actually happened to me when I was in Birmingham. When I first started in the business. It was it was in Pablo. I mean, it was it was it was. Being held or I don't wanna use the word groped but being held when you don't want to be maybe you could call it. I don't know how to quite phrase. It it was it was uncomfortable. It was embarrassing. And so what I did was swear. And it's amazing when you sound like a truck driver how unattractive you become and so it actually worked, and that's how I deflected it. Yeah. It wasn't. It wasn't a guy that I actually worked with day in day out in the news department at some other guys. And you were you worked with some pretty incredible iconic men in this town. Yeah. Yeah. Paul Long and they were all gentlemen. Don. Can they were all gentle? Joe denardo. Yeah. And you love Joe. Oh my God. Yeah. Yeah. I pass. Pass miss miss. Joe? He used to call us to listen to the show. I now, and this is Larry DiNardo, and I actually have to call his sons, Jeff Jeff and dog in the next day or two because I wanted to just touch base with them during Christmas. Yeah. I miss him a lot and I forgot to call them on on bundle up day. I can't believe I forgot that. Now, you're making me feel bad. Don't feel I just I just there's so I keep forgetting thought the world of you know, I I thought the world. Hold on a lot. You know, what we fought about his Steelers? We fought about Steeler coaches. I would scream at him and say, I can't talk to you anymore. I've got to go out. How about Paul Long? Oh my God. This is Paul Sally Wiggin. You ever hear the story about somebody throwing his television on the floor. No. Do you ever hear that? Yeah. He had the television up too loud. It was up to loud who who was that. Sally PA Paul headed up. Yeah. Who was the who threw it on the floor? And he just one of our anchors asked him to turn it down. Oh, is it too loud for you? Sonny. And. He had a. Throat on the floor was a portable DVD and the next. There was a brand new defeat sitting there could just hear him saying. Yes. I do you want to say who it was Don done Canas. Don. So that whole thing with the coffee going from one Cup to the other that wasn't real. No, no, they they were. I know he at Paul's funeral. Dawn spoke really lovingly about him pot was. Irascible you might say, you know, Paul worked Katie k before he went to. Jau in a win. He had a I was doing the weather when he retired from an I invited them to come on. And he did. And he came on the weather and DeNardo, call them about a turncoat. Do you remember when they moved his car?.

The fans were absolutely into it playoff atmosphere, and they showed up and stayed right to the end. And how 'bout how it ended with a defensive stand? Yeah. It was a defensive defensive performance. Like we absolutely had to have against Tom Brady. A guy has the ball in the end of the game and a chance to win. And you think in, wow, he's going to do what he's done right outlets times before to other teams and to us except last night. It didn't happen. And I'm looking at Jim colony he'll give us the details. And I thought of him when I was in the booth last night because. I threw it down to Missy Matthews on the field. With defensive captain Cam Hayward, and he credited the fans he noticed he said we needed everyone. It'd be a tonight, and we got it. So Steelers win a significant win for many reasons keeps them in the lead in the division because Baltimore won. So they're only half game behind they play the chargers. The Steelers have tall order going down to New Orleans who would have thought that tie would be so critically. The the difference maker in our division lead at this point in the year. But that's exactly what it is. Right now, it's keeping him in. Chris Boswell make an along feel kind of right this ship at least for missing one earlier in the day. Sigh of relief thinking, okay. Maybe he now he's going to get back on the track. So we'll get some details. From Jim colony on the Steelers win also this a very important week. I saw John chamois do a story about you know, if you want your packages to arrive wherever their destination may be for Christmas. This is it pretty much go time, and they they said this is one of the busiest days of the year at the post office. So if you're gonna go give yourself a lot of time and be patient. You have anything you want to send while I in Montana. We'd like to send rain to Montana. Do you know how much rain we got over the weekend? What was the total? I think it was, you know, free quarters of an inch or some crazy thing. Like that. Is that it up maybe more? I think it has to be we'll we'll double check. But I think we have pushed the envelope to be if not the the second wettest year recorded history, and Pittsburgh it already is number two in history. And what I'm wondering is how close are we to number one now number two and three a significant difference? You've been listening to too many commercials. I gotta tell you that one commercial. I mean, normally we don't we don't really say anything good or bad. But there's one commercial that we we all chuckle about and we'll share that. Because it's probably happened to you. It's a national ad and the woman you hear at flushing toilet. And you say my number two number two. Is there a number? We all every time that airs we all look at each other go really anyway. So what kind of a weeks you have lined up? Very very good show this morning. We have a Bill Hillgrove is gonna join us Senator eight o'clock hour, we'll talk to him about the Steelers game. Also talked to him about the passing of pit legend Bill Froehlich nannette caught me by surprise. A lot of people at age fifty six. He had battled cancer. He was not interested in letting people know that he had this issue, and you know, kept it close to the family. And so when he passed a lot of people were unaware that he was in the struggle and wandered, but we really enjoyed our time with Bill Froehlich when we would travel to Atlanta when Pitt would play Georgia Tech. He has a beautiful home there. And he would invite us all on the Friday night before the game must have been seventy five people, and he would have. Catered with all this great food in breads, and entertainment, even add a magician. Come he had such a big heart? You know, because he was all Pittsburgh know, Bill Froehlich. I mean, you know, long before I'd people long before I ever even suspected I might live and work in Pittsburgh. I knew who Bill freely ques-, that's how dominant a college football player. He was at a time. When there were people who get a lot more spotlight and Bill Froehlich was a truly one of the most dominant offense lineman. Pity history Mendes. And and I will tell you this. He had a huge heart. Any loved the surprise people with these good will gestures including last week getting Penn hills high school additional room night for their championship run at the state level. And I think he got them head. Fuck, you know, just yeah. We'll miss Bill Froehlich into his many, friends and family, our thoughts and sympathies. We'll talk to Bill Hillgrove about that. You can take your radio with you as a radio dot com today and listen to us anytime anywhere. At Walgreens, we know it's cold and flu season. Again, a time..

Good morning and thanks for being with us this morning, and we have a several schools that have added to our school closing and delay list where you want to check in with the AccuWeather first. And then we'll do the school closings. Absolutely. Let's go to accurate at world headquarters senior meteorologist Elliot Abrams. Elliot. Good morning. Good morning. There is there is one other closing to mention the procrastination school district has an eight hour delay. Oh, wow. These persistent lake effect snow bands have been plaguing the region, although compared to what others are getting north. We're getting away with a lot less sixteen inches on the ground at Perry's. Berg, New York and south west New York, buffalo several inches and eerie counties had a lot but we've had enough to cause a slippery conditions throughout the area. We have an average of an institute some places about three inches, and it's still coming down. It's pretty light most of the time every now, and then it gets a little bit heavier. So we have to watch for some additional slippery places today. You don't want to look at the radar. It looks pretty intimidating the size of the blob. That's coming down from the lake, but is it really that much snow. It's not that much snow, but it is definitely still coming. And there is no end and says says all the way out even few flurries in Cincinnati. So we cannot flurries right into the afternoon. Even though the heaviest will likely be this morning and midday and every now, and then it comes down hard enough that.

"All right. Let me let me do. A little A with you. As we go to break because you really piqued my interest, and I have dealt with this firsthand on the front line with friends and family like pre disposition where you basically have all of the signs DNA. And even if you are a thin person who looks physically fit, you can be dealing with heart disease. So if you don't really have any symptoms, but you know, it's in your family. So I make an appointment with you. And you obviously talk family history. What are some of the signs that people the flags if you will the red flags at getting them, give them an indication that maybe there's an issue here. Doc, all alright, rob, unfortunately, sometimes the first set them is death. I've yes. Like cardiac arrest to where it's over. Yep. I've seen that firsthand slightly and from someone who you would look at who seems to be in tiptop shape. Right. But they may have a very strong family history. Maybe not be eating the right foods. So you could be thin and fit and still not eating the right foods and be building up. A plaque building a plaque in your in your arteries, and then all of a sudden a piece of that plaque releases. You former clot if it's in the arteries that feed your heart. You can have a heart attack if fee arteries that the brain you're gonna have a stroke, so for many people, unfortunately, the first symptom is an actual heart attack, so stroke. Go ahead. Go ahead. But I'm going to I'm going to say if you're lucky you have symptoms if you're lucky you start feeling a little bit more. And remember, there's a lot of reasons why you might feel a little bit more winded. Right as you age. But you might start feeling there's no apparent reason. But you're starting to feel a little bit more winded, maybe a heart skipping a few beats because the number one cause of arrhythmia is actually coronary artery disease, although it could be caused by a lot of other things. So they're going to be subtle. As you exercise. You might be out of breath sooner than you were before titan having to catch, right? Having to catch your breath. And the problem with that is if you go and get tested at your GP's office. He's gonna do arresting cardiogram arresting cardio agree. Many times. We'll come back normal. It's not gonna show her that story. So you think everything is fine. But it's not all right here we go to break. Let me ask you this into kind of end on the question, and I answered asking really put the finishing end on that question. If somebody has predisposition it's in their family. They come at you, can you reverse that? Yes, I believe you never wanna promise that you can reverse. It is that we know. There are many many many many many studies. In fact, I just wanted to include this now, I've had lots of success with people who've come in, and they may have had beginnings of angina and heart disease, and then they don't have it anymore. It's gone. Right. So and there's multiple studies. Now, those are people that have come to see me, and we call that a convenience sample, but there's actually multiple studies that have been done that have shown reversal of cardio vascular disease. Both Dr code will Aseltine dean orange have separately. Scientifically proven that a whole foods plant based diet, mostly really vegan vegetarian diet can reverse heart disease, and they have before and after pictures to prove it, not only are these people feeling great. But we have before pictures of the arteries being clogged. And then afterwards. They're not. Works for me. All right, four one to ninety two. Well, very brief break. We'll come back. I'll tell you about winer wellness week December first of the eighth when we return and then now the good doctor's going to wrap up today's program. Please stay with us. Mary, Richard John chamois?.
