"That, yeah, maybe I would have been a good actor, but my instinct is there were firstly, there are lots of middle class girls, right? With nice accents and fair skin and even if you are blooming Kate Winslet, the chances of you getting lots of work are pretty limited. So it would have been fun to be Kate Winslet, but I think there are how many Kate Winslet's in 30 years, not many. So that's like saying, it would have been really great to win the lottery back in 1990, whatever. And actually the past I ended up on, which is being a voice coach is really much more me. And it's mine, right? As an actress, it's never yours. Unless you direct. Unless you produce. Interesting. It's distilled to this day. It's the thing that I wish I could do and had done because it looks so great. But it's the thing as I get older, I'm realizing you would be terrible. You wouldn't know where to begin. When you actually, I find it fascinating listening to actors talk about their process. I'm like, yeah, no, I would never have made that decision. It's hard. I mean, and the acting bid is only a tiny part of that business, isn't it? Now, you know, I just, I hats off to the ones who do it well. And you and I, I don't think as far as I know you're not, and I definitely am not. We're not nepo babies. I'm not. So if I'd been a lawyer, I would if I turned into a lawyer then there may be an would have been so bad. Okay, let's talk about regrets. And I guess. You said that you don't regret anything. And I want to unpick that because I can tell just by the answer of I don't, where you actually said Jenna regretting me out forgiveness. Forgive my friend Jackson. But in reading that, I thought, well, there's a much bigger story there. There's a reason why you've come to that and I would I would gamble that that is something that you have come to. Perhaps because actually having regrets can be really heavy. Yeah, and I think, you know, as a someone in her middle years, should we say, little girls. Thriving. That's driving. And all of that. Actually, it's that kind of the warp and weft of the stuff that's really horrible and the stuff you regress and the stuff you dwell on actually, that's what makes you an interesting person. And the stuff you've done wrong makes you tolerant of other people getting stuff wrong and the stuff you have been embarrassed about makes you tolerant of people being embarrassing. You know, so I just think, of course, the stuff that I would do differently, but. I move forward. I'm someone who's really on the front view. And I don't spend much time looking in the rearview mirror. In fact, if you ask me why I did yes to them, I mean look at my phone. But I think I try to be the same. I don't like regrets. I think lessons is a better way of saying it was like, yeah, I won't do that again because I regret my behavior or I got what happened. But there are still absolutely times where I'll be quietly minding my own business. And memory will flash up into my mind. I've got a very, I didn't know this until recently. You know, that's your mind's eye, so if I say to you, picture an apple in your head, can you see an apple? Yeah. So some people can not. So what's the author's name? Fellow podcast, I forgot his name. Richard herring, I think. In his book, he talks about the fact that he has a blind mind's eye, so he can't. If you say to him, picture an apple, he can not see it. And that's one of the most the things that's made me as I'm reading something. I was already sitting down, had I been standing, I would have had to have had a sit down because it didn't occur to me that someone else's perspective would be different. But in terms of memories, I can just be sitting minding my own business and a very vivid picture of something I regret will smack me in my mind's eye and I will and I will have a physical reaction to it of uncomfortable or I'll say out loud. There will be a very physical reaction to this thing. But I don't like to regret it. I like to think of it as a lesson or a thing that I'm going to choose to learn from and never repeat. Would you say that's more? Yeah, I think that's, yeah, I certainly there are certain minds I think. And there is almost photos in the photo album that might be like, oh, no. But the part of that kind of is what makes you human, I think. The bad stuff as much as if it was all good stuff, we'd be so bland. The bad stuff is what makes. It's why I like older people. You know, if you talk to the 80 year old, they've got so many stories in the stories that you want to talk about and not always the good ones, right? Then it's what makes good drama is the challenge and struggle. It is. So do you speak to a lot of people who are slightly do you find that that's a good resource for you? Do you find that quite a grounding thing? Because I think it's something that culturally we don't do very much anymore, particularly in western culture maybe, where we listen to our world, this is almost like we park them off to the side and be like, yeah, okay, we'll come and visit, but do you think that's actually a really good resource for the younger generations to actually hear those stories? I think just listening to each other, generally. I mean, I think there's a lot of the youngsters who have good lessons as well. But I certainly, I like the perspective, you know, because often our Friends are going through such kind of personal stuff. When you talk to people who have a bigger perspective of the world, more distance, maybe they've stopped working, they're not seeing the same problems as you are. I think the more I talk to people who are different to me,

"Closer to home in London, what can I do for a bit less than a 5 star luxury hotel? Can I go to a nice food and drink location in London? I mean, the streets are busy. I had offended came in actually from Singapore this week, saying London looks buzzing. Yeah, I mean, the bars are not very pleased about dry January. So I'm sure they'll be happy next week when those people like me are doing it. Our back spending again, but back in alia in mayfair has been huge. It has a bunch of Damien hersel over. The mayor Monday is a new Thursday. Just give it a try. Charlie Wales, if you were a strong king bonus in a different industry than this one, where would you be spending it any thoughts? Here's the trick. I wouldn't be spending it. So I spoke with a financial adviser about this. We've been wondering, what do these people do if they're worried about their pay going down? And what she told me was look. Don't ignore the fact that you have a bonus, right? This is something that is a part of compensation for a lot of people. But make sure that you are smart with your cash flow. And a lot of financial advisers will just say never spend your bonus. But what this woman was telling which I thought was really smart was spend it in two years. So you put it away, you hold it, you save it for that rainy day, but you tell yourself, look. If something changes over the course of two years, I'll have that money socked away. If not, two years from now, I'm going to Richard Branson's. In two years, we'll be looking for the Instagram photos of Charlie what else is holiday? I'll be there. I like it. That's a psychological trick I could take with me. Super. Guys, thank you so much for joining us. I've enjoyed this lighter touch. Yes, difficulties for those who might not get a bonus, but also some thoughts about where you can spend it if you get one.
