"And is one scene there he has these two river boatmen, who were famous for their bragging, and they have a kind of a brag off in the book, and they threaten terrible violence on each other. One of them has, I can't remember the whole thing, but he's the copper bellied corpse maker from the wilds at Arkansas, and he claims that he says, I'm sorry by hurricane damned by an earthquake, half brother to the cholera, nearly related to the smallpox and my mother's side. I take 19 alligators in a barrel of whisky for breakfast when I am in robust health, and a bushel of rattlesnakes in a dead body when I'm hailing. And then the other guy jumps up and he tries to like out Bragg the first guy and he says, when I'm playful, I use the meridian's a longitude and parallels the latitude for a sane in a drag the Atlantic Ocean for Wales, a scratch my head with lightning and perm myself to sleep with thunder, the massacre of isolated communities is the pastime of my idle moments. The destruction and nationalities the serious business of my life, and they just keep bragging away at each other like this, but then the fight never happens it's all bluster. I love it. That is, it's sort of timeless. I mean, you can imagine it today and it goes way back and it's, I guess it's part of American culture, braggadocio. This is travel with Rick Steves for talking with Richard grant, Richard grant loves to travel and pick up fascinating insights from his travels. I mean, that's what really, really enriches your travel experiences that ability to observe and learn. Richard's latest book is called the deepest south of all true stories from natchez Mississippi, another example of Richard traveling and gaining great insights. Right now we're talking about the short history of American bragging from the point of view of an English man and an English man are all about sarcasm, all about self deprecation about how would you sort of remind us how an English man looks at this braggadocio that Mark Twain and Davy Crockett and Muhammad Ali just slam dunked. I loved it..

It was a just a another cheesy reboot. That didn't need to happen. I thought this is paul mcgann. Two point oh okay which would have been great an awesome. By the way. I i know i know you're trying to convert me to the poem again but i just was out. My thing is not my thing especially when around the same time. We had the audio with richard grants. And i ca- i wanted richard grant so again. Which is one of the things we talked about yet on this. I want to talk about that. One of these days screaming shotgun. Just i've ever. I remember hearing that there was going to be doctor. who some. there's something. Dr related with richard grant and then home again showed up and richard e grant. Was this audio and like whatever disappointing flipped around because screaming ashoka was two thousand and three and what happened was he was going to be the official ninth doctor. You know only continued in this like web animated thing right but because the show came back because russell t davies brought the show back. The bbc decided. Okay that whole doctor. Thing with richard e grant. No no it's not going to happen now. Is your day graphics. Peter cushing of the twentieth century christopherson is. Now the ninth doctor so essentially it was recipe. That torpedoed the richard richard e. grant thing but there was. There was richard e grant talk for a couple of years before that happened. Oh yeah he's always been up for consideration. Yeah so when. I heard the richard e grant talk with and we got home again already at the chip on my shoulder and it wasn't a huge fan of the paul mcgann doctor who it's not so much paul himself. It's just sort of that particular players doctor hall's great i mean paul. Is that the jokes they make about. How paul is the hardest working actor in england. You can't pause. "I had to bring on guests. Because we've had this conversation just recently. In fact he is. The host of the talking birdie podcast. I'm talking about matt corolla. Matt Dwi thanks again for having me talk. The last time i was on. We're talking. twenty. Twelve draft class probably As depressing as low as a topic darkens phantom over the last decade has it can. I don't think it'll be reached those levels with the safeties. But it's certainly not the strongest position. I'd say on the depth chart. Yeah this one is going to have i think. A lot of question marks Honestly probably one of the ones where it may be better than what. I think we anticipated. It would be going into the season So let's sort of set the backdrop last year with the twenty twenty season. We lost demonte. Akc to an achilles injury which was just absolutely dreadful. Luck because of the fact that both ricardo allen and kiani will also suffered the achilles injury and then of course count and they also had a tornado. Yells years back So devastating injury to casey in the year where they were running. A lot of three safety looks kiani. Looked like he was a little bit better than the at been. Ricardo fell off a cliff. And of course going to this off season we had. We started a defense with three starting safeties. None of them are returning. Ricardo allen was cut primarily for cap reasons. But i i would say his performance fell off a little bit as well On the they opted not to try to retain him Probably because of the injury history. Of course he ended up signing with dallas and then k z also signed with dallas both Chasing after former. Head coach of falcons dan quinn. Who is now the offensive coordinator with the cowboys So that has set up the team to where they basically had to restock the position Almost entirely the only real carryover to this point is a player. We'll talk about a little. Bit jalen hawkins but matt right now. We're looking at the depth chart. You and i talked a little bit earlier this week. I was on your podcast. Which was fun we did. We talked about safeties. We talked about Richard grant the player that draft in the second room. But what's interesting to me is right now. If we look at the depth chart the two names at the top are the two veterans air karras and doron harmon. These guys are obviously intended to be stopgaps. they're both on a one year deal Neither guy is is the kind of guy that you're planning to build the future the position around but there should be serviceable starters drawn harmony. Think is Had some good seasons as well So what are your thoughts on. Eric harris drawn harmon. What they offer to the falcons this year. And what you think. Their potential for starting the entire year is going to be. I think you hit the nail on the head when you said there stopgaps. That's what they were brought in for. You want veteran presences in the building. Because you knew you were gonna overhaul the position. You knew you're going to get younger there. Which is what they did. When they drafted reggie grant fortieth overall. And then you know as you mentioned they retained jalen hawkins who the twenty twenty draft pick so again not sure hawkins if he's a long-term answer there the early reports at a camper promising now that he's he's made an impact to he's made plays on the ball so i am intrigued to see what he can bring. And you know what. I would say that hawkins before i get into some of the others. I think he's a better fit in dean pees defense and he would have been had dan quinn in the long-term head coach in. And i say that. Because i think hawkins is a bit of a twitter like he didn't fall into that prototypical strong safety dan. Quinn looks for allah kiana neil. And he's not really you know the cover one rangy free safety that you look for in say you know the prototype narrow thomas. He's more of a guy that again can do both things ten play. Closer to the line of scrimmage but he can also drop deep. You don't want him playing that cover one has said Would rather be covered to split safety. Look which again fits right into. What ps two. He runs more covered to than you know. Cover warner covers three. So i think there could be something there with him You know we'll see what the future holds. But i am more intrigued and we're optimistic about his fit enroll in impedes off a defense long-term. Then i would have been in dan. Quayle now looking at the veterans again. Eric would have never guessed he'd be the first free agent signing in the arthur smith terry gano era. But you know here. We are A guy that they prioritized in you know. I guess terry did have a connection to Being that eric harris started his career in the nfl. With the new orleans saints so a guy that he knows a lot about and again someone that Is is a great locker room presence going to be a great mentor already has shown already to be a great mentor. Richie grant as those to train together in the off season even prior to grant even becoming a falcon. So i thought that was pretty interesting and again i i do. Expect him to get a lotta run. I mean he was. He was a two year starter. The last couple years With the raiders again. I consider him a competent level player. He is not someone you want long-term but certainly can get the job done And you know hopefully it's more in a limited role and they and they work in the younger guys now withdrawn harmon similar.

"Going to catch lightning in a bottle, either. Going to make like there's going to be a little alligator. Lucky flush birth. Just going to be all so. But but the classic low-key he was the coolest in the last episode you know, creating the whole illusion and everything. That that was exactly. And also they got Richard Grant to do, what he's really good at which is chewing scenery, you know what I mean? Yeah. Was it the Spy Kids movies or something like that? Maybe it was bouncing Hawk of socialist movie, that a lot of people to cry, but I really thought it was good and had all kinds of funny scenes grade cetera. So they let him go over the top. They let him be both know that hero villain the egotist, all that kind of stuff. Like, who would have thought that someone could out Loki, Tom Hiddleston yet? He really I saw an interview quote from him that he was laughing because when he wanted to go into acting and not stage in theater of movies and stuff, his father said, what do you want to wear tights all day long? And now, here he is costume thing is that they call it in Great Britain? Exactly. So I thought that was pretty cool. So we've got a low-key one, more episode, two thousand and then we've got the, what, if series, which I was thinking was like a, an infiniti's Legends off-shoot, you know, like the comic book that doesn't fit in it's, you know, just right. It's just to be not in Canon. Exactly. My understanding is, that's not true that they're using all of this to tie into doctor strange, and the Multiverse, and Doctor Strange may have a cat fight. Oh, in just about every episode, interesting, I really there was not a trailer for that and I'm really looking forward to that because if they, if they all capture the steam go ask multi-dimensional, you know, little fanged mouth floating in space type thing. You know, when I talked with big Craig, Russell a couple of weekends ago, which, you know, I didn't. Oh my God, family, he really has, he's one of the in-home. Resolve that ability to portray fantasy in a really convincing way so that you can put this is unearthly, but it sure is detailed. And like really looks like that's what, you know, a little difficult thing would look. Like, that's an interesting tie. And then that now, that doctor strange definitely has been that guy that always brought in multidimensional, especially, like, evil Dimension or mammal and Nightmare, and whatever else it might be. So if that's what they're building towards, I think I just saw that Captain Marvel is going to.

"All right andy. This episode of loki very enjoyable just delightful to see richard grant and an alligator chewing scenery. Quite literally in some cases was to some degree. I thought did a little bit of like running in place to get to the whatever the valley is. Obviously we get the big big moment at the end of the episode where it's like the doors are opening and we have to wait for the next episode of find out what's going on. I gather from my work online. That i've been doing in terms of educating myself about this this whole situation with that look he's going through that this was maybe like frame for frame. The most marvel earliest marvel marvel our ever like. There is so much stuff in there that if you've are reading avengers number whatever or th- or this or whatever you were just like i'm an heaven yes and no and i say that as someone who is aware of some of the marble stuff but just generally a bigger fan of the show is doing and the reason i say yes and no. It's because there was a lot of. There were a lot of easter eggs. But they were very specifically chosen. I think to fit. Obviously the interest of the creative team of the show but also the vibe of this story. And what i mean is i think a lot of people online and we always say this with the caveat i think is. This is your how you get enjoyment from this then. Like that's awesome. That is that seems fun. Time consuming but core over every frame of a marvel entertainment in search of not just easter eggs but clues that will lead make up a crumb trail towards. What's coming next. This isn't that kind of easter eggs. This was brief a glimpse of frog. Thor which is a thing that happened in a funny comic book. There is a glimpse in the background of thanos helicopter. Which is Sort of wink towards a nineteen sixties comic when before thanos was like the true big evil of the universe who's in love with his true mistress death and he had a helicopter. You know what i mean like. So it's it's. It's the same sort of winking whimsey That is that. I love in the twisted and convoluted sixty year. History marvel comics. And i think this show loves as well and i just continued to be impressed by the fact that the show is telling emotional story that is doing massive ret conning of a major character but also while the stakes are going higher and higher has richard e grant in the local costume from the sixties in bright green spandex. It has You know important dialogue that it gives to an animated clock and and it has this actually emotional moment with that clock when it was like looking for the file. And i'm like oh shit yes. It was kind of wonderful and ultimately alligator loki. Which as you just got to respect the commitment the thing that made that good wasn't just that michael waldron or the writers room or whatever like also in alligator it was it every time someone said something important or pretentious. It went reaction shot. Bang bang bang. Richard e grant. Kid loki sometime. Sylvie alligator loki. It treated the alligator. Like a member of the ensemble and for that i salute this show. They they made their little baby. Owed aroma that. Gator man like everyone right. This is this. Gator is fucking entertaining. You know like i. I was really into it. I also thought they did a good. Chekhov's gator thing with like hill. Bite your hand. If you're if you're not careful and then he really goes after that loki. That was a great monty. Python moment of like the sort of gruff loki. Getting his hand bitten off spoiler. Even watch it. But you're listening to this. What did you think of the episode. Though i mean are you kind of at the point now especially with with this series but maybe the entire experiment where you're not necessarily like the stock price doesn't change that much on a week to week basis. This show is a success. I in my book and the show is a success because it was as as interested in earning the low-key moebius hug as it is potentially revealing the villain from ant man three Which which we should speak about the second. That is a sign for me of well-balanced piece of franchise ip entertainment. Because it has serviced the character stories and the characters. Along the way i mean the the sylvie loki stuff that the the progression of tom hilton's performance which is really very good and then nuanced and impressive. He's still playing the same character. He's been playing sometimes multiple versions of him. But it's distinct now from the ones that existed in the other movies in a way. That is very appealing and very charming and makes me excited about potential stories. That's that's been my viewing pleasure and this episode. There is there is yeah. There's a there's a viewing of this where you could be like it just kind of ran in place. This was the one bracketed for this world and they had fun with it and then they guild the world right and move on to something else but so be it it. It entertained in a way for me. The best marvel movies have done and also made me care on an episodic tv basis as to these characters that said and we should we know. We'll get into it like the thumb on the scale. The foggy thumb on the scale of what does it mean and what's happening begin began to feel unavoidable in this episode in ways. That may have disrupted some people's enjoyment. It's been really interesting to watch over. The course of these three shows each one of which have had their very obvious. And then maybe more subtle themes to varying i and i varying levels of affection for each one of them and and the tension between those teams and whatever they want to do with characters and i think in a lot of ways probably. That's the aside from the paycheck. And this celebrity the lure to get elizabeth olsen to continue to play wanda in this format or to get paul bet needed do vision again is to get give them something to do outside of just like run from one room to another and say look over there the tension between those like emotional moments and they emotional themes of these shows and this like looming at some point. There's going to be this delivery that we get that is going quote unquote make it worth it or explain everything or set something up because i think everybody is kind of like watching these things being like are we going. Is this eventually going to accumulate to the point where we now have an understanding of where the next five ten movies are gonna go. Because i think that everybody's sort of expecting marvel to repeat what they did from. Oa to eighteen. But i don't know if they're going to do that..

"The first episode where he's he walks into What's your name rivonia. Yet voted rings on the radio. Remember having those bears so foreshadowing potentially that depend too. He looks at that penn and puts it down and those rings may have been from. How many moebius have there been so it. Sounds like the. Tv's been proving people. Whenever they start to get wind grownup. Volna is been keeping the secret. But i do question how much she knew exactly. I don't think she knew that. The timekeepers are fucking robots robots machines their androids which is hilarious. They look like animatronic from the fucking disney park. You know someone put on line. One of my friends put out there. Like basically man like when his first reggie's man these these tv these timekeepers really look fake. So good luck. I suppose disney trolling us. They are fake fucking walrus moustache. It was hilarious. I was remembering back to like my eighth birthday party like motherfucker. These this is the band. From chucky cheese they chucky cheese appeal cheese that i didn't think we get to see them. In the the laser the laser pattern behind them was kinda interesting hot notice. The reminded me when i first saw them when they were standing up there. It kind of reminded me of goes in the ghostbusters triangle. Like smoke line of all like coming down colors say zule. Yeah are you. The gatekeeper captions of one of the two of the tv or timekeepers. I couldn't stay on because they aerobics. Robots mumble fucking mouth so that was clearly so some of this episode seem predictable to me like i knew they were going to find them right away and i called this. They're going to have a wizard of oz moment and they had their wizard of oz moment so the question is who is really pulling the strings curtain. Who is behind the curtain. There's a couple a couple of people. It is one of them one of them. I don't believe being introduced introduced in this series. I i don't see. I think all signs after mid credit scene will point to a yet a nother. Lucky i think area low key okay. Well let's talk about the mid credit scene where you know you see him get a pruned. Sylvia doesn't kill ramona instead. She's like i want you to tell me everything. Well first off. What gets the point is located is falling in love with himself thing mantech more than he found that he has family. Someone he can care for. Loki keys just that. Yeah that he would just fall in love with the super narcissistic and i love the idea that if to join forces all of all reality. That's when you when you fall in when an imran falls in love with a human version. That's not post to having the the way he was looking at her in his voice. Like you can actually hear his voice cracking when he's talking to her. That's not someone that's like looking at a family meant hold on. I ll 'cause i was like. Does he lean in for a kiss. Is there any intimation. He all he does. He grabs her arms and if he grabbed her face that would have been one thing. He does the side of her arms. And he's i dunno. I dunno i think he was grabbing her and he was he was like he didn't know what to say is gonna go for the kiss Yeah we're we'll find out but yeah that is a that is a time breaking event. Apollo love yourself so mid credits scene. He wakes up and he's like am i in hell and in the captions you. It says h e. Yeah which is one of the the realms of asgard where what's her name is his sister. She lives hera. He's like my dad. And you hear richard e. grant's voice go no but you will be. Don't come with us and we see a shot of four fucking logie's three but there's four of them you have richard e grant as classic old loki in his classic costume from the comics. His first appearance. You got kid loki You have a dude. That's supposed to be worthy loki. Or what loki boastful loki. Who is worthy holding the molinari. And i think in the comics. It's a woman. And so they they made it a big black guy and then kid loki is holding fucking crocodile. Lucky which is like frog. Thor loki reminded me of frog. Thorpe throng is frog or so. Maybe he's from that you're so and then in the background. Ucla destroyed york city a ruined tower. And they've just introduced another young avenger and kid loki. What'd you guys make this scene. I was shocked. I you know. Obviously the again they've been foreshadowing locations since the first episode multiple ones. I just didn't think you were actually going to show any any actual looking I didn't see until. I watched a video after i watched the I didn't see the interest. Our the background. Yeah and looking at richard richard grants. Just yes awful costume. Though but i i was just caught up in lucky that i had to go watch it again. Yeah there but i. I was shocked about the. I knew he was going to go somewhere. But i didn't expect new york. And i didn't expect between twenty was twenty twelve in two thousand sixteen or some where the avengers don't win. Yeah yeah. I think that's what they're hinting at. Is that this is a low key version of loki. That one I would say. I was just like oh look i like in my head i was like. Oh this kind of makes sense. They're to go to this path. Where just low keys everywhere. And will i saw more. Not like i was just more like Okay i'm intrigued to see where this goes. i i like. I like the different versions of loki. It seems like this. You know this whole show is about loki. Really and his his place in the universe. And were were were learning that in the multi-diverse there's a shit ton of them and they all they have an important place in this universe. I think that we're we're gonna find out by the end of this that loki key very pivotal to everything. Yeah that's crazy in the marvel and i'm wondering which lucky survives at the end like will we still have this hickson two thousand twelve and keep in mind. This version of loki will not this one but the version we've gotten to learn prior to this series is responsible for creating the avengers loki is is important to their universe. Other loki did get redeemed at the end of end game. You know and like this guy is getting redeemed here. And you're seeing him. Discover an admit you know the whole time loop bit with jamie alexander and stuff. That was great because we haven't seen sieff last time agents shield not technically not in but in canaan for the dark world the last time we saw her. Apparently he's supposed to be in ragnarok. I'll what'd you think of the time loop seat. He got need in the nuts for like thirty minutes. I really feel bad for his nuts. They're out feeling bad at that. Point the end those. Interestingly he finally admits a kind of a shitty person or whatever he craves attention and then she doesn't even the she's still like you always be alone well and that's the thing is that's why i think he. It's not romantic with sylvie. It's just him finding someone not to be alone with. Think okay. Well let's talk about sylvia. I loved the more things we learned about her like. They show us when she gets kidnapped when she's a child taken by the tv and it's a road before she's a judge and then i love that she escapes steals pad and she's been but this girl has been hiding in apocalypse is she grew up. Apocalypse is and we never actually find out what her next. It's event is will remember it or else you.

"So i've seen a song. I know i won't think race. Tv tune for anyone. That is interested. Look it up. And i'm actually on season two already because actually the first can only had thirteen episodes or ten so it was very short for the for the time that it came out in nineteen seventy nine and it ran I believe was nine seasons. So i'm not yet to the george clooney era but i will get there soon enough and i. I really watch the showing a million times. I love the show with one of my favorites So i'm really excited to kind of go down this this revenge on now so basically. I watched that We watched the forever purge in theaters and Loki this week. Cool so because all about loki. The best episode. I so far Always episode four always the force episode. All these shows is like. Oh dan i. I think i have to my love for someone Jennifer i think i'm in love with lady loki. Oh okay sylvie is awesome. I love her. Super bad. As i think and i hope that i mean i don't know where they're going but i hope that they put you know the continue her in the films. I think she's fantastic. Fantastic character and it seems like you're diving deeper into her story a lot more in the next episode. So i'm very curious as to where they're going with that. I kinda wanna talk about the money shot at the post credit. Money shot The avenger style. Money shot of all the movies We do we know if owen wilson. Oh i didn't really want to get into those spoilers but you know if you didn't if you didn't watch fast um so so low key diet again technically so this is like the third time he's died already and then how do you pronounce his name. Leo moebius he died too. I i don't think he's dead i think he's i think he's with loki. I think they're in that world wherever that when when you get pruned you get sent to that world but the real thing is all the lower rain. Yes essentially at the end. Have you seen the mean with all different. Loki played located in different universes matt damon and all that all that. That's a highlight for me. Was richard e grant. I had to rewind to see. That was richard grant in the The lok a classic loki What do you. What is your hypothesis. Leo you're the marvel guru i they this is i'm out of my element all i know is i. I knew i knew. Read some things coming into it when they had mentioned the multi-diverse and the multiple different types of locations and then the rumors of lady loki started coming in. I don't know much about this world and it seems that the more i read the the less i find where it's like the. Mcu is really going to uncharted territory with a storyline. That's not really been told before. So i mean..

"Because i think this kind of ties in to some of this about pay off and getting to the point faster am i the only one that got some sort of vibe that i'm going to call her. Enchanted four user discussion yeah enchanted. This is not the big bad sort of the the. She's working for someone else. No i think she. I think maybe she's working for someone else. I think the tv or end up being the bad guys. Or i hope it's not that i'm gonna. I'm gonna be so annoyed if that's the only well that marvel can come up with now is hey look. We introduce this authority organization. Hey look they're really the villains like if that's the plot of all of these shows i'm gonna go crazy. I mean sword. Was it really the bad guys of efficient. They were like. I mean like i haven't witnessed like sword could have been good or bad like but the tv from the moment they're set up your their time cops that these three space lizards. I is very funny. How located. I space lizards like like the tv. A itself like its tropes scream much more like villainous to me than like sword which is just another marvel like you know. It's like shield with the you know what i mean. Sword but more offensive or sorry. Shield more offensive. Yes auto even bother me. I guess the other thing is like the. There's only one other major actor who has not shown up yet who's confirmed. Which is richard grant their spin rumors that he is going to be playing like old loki. Like and i just what we need like my my bet is that there will be there will be a local variant. That's the villain the opec the big village. But it's not gonna be the female lucky Of this is like a league of low it that like she is working for him and will eventually team up with hero. Loki Enchants will team up with hero loki. Or she's got her own thing to like screw over the tv because they did something to her or just he wants to survive eliminated her time line and say she was leftover. Yes something like that. I think yeah no. I don't think i remember reading it in an article. Oh richard grant was not a doctor. Yeah we'll find out after the show. Is there any like what are the big big things franchises that he hasn't been a part of our track. I mean he's he's. He's like in rarified air. He's a big actor which is why i think are also surprises. Him in the yellow outer underwear was awesome. Yeah we had richard e grant playing like an old comic accurate. Loki like straight from the sixties comics. There is kid loki. Who interestingly enough. They're bringing in so many young man of andrews yet. I think they've had a young avengers characters brought in from each of the series so far. I'm not sure what was brought in through falcon winter soldier. But i know that they're bringing in a lot of young avengers characters then the other two localities are original. There's the alligator loki. Which like you said it could be a counterpart to throb which explained to me what that is in some comic loki as a joke. Turn thor into a frog and it's stuck and people he was eventually turned back but people loved it and it kind of brought it back. And that's along the same lines of peter parker and things like that so this could be the counterpart to that. They've got an alligator loki with his cute little low key hat. It was awesome And then the other loki. The armored loki. He's original to he's listed in the credits as boastful loki. It looks like he's got a version of mall near which does happen in the comics. Joel does find molnia so there could be a lot going on. And richard e grant played a doctor in an animated series and an evil doctor. Doctor who take that so he was it doctor who he was. Are we going to see like a major local team up in these two episodes. What do you guys think these. Five gods mischief are going to get up to. Oh my gosh. Nothing good but yeah. I think that's exactly where the rest of the series we've only got more episode right. Yeah we only have two more episodes. Yeah just to. it's getting it's going to go crazy couple so jumping back eventually. Loki and sylvie are taking to the time keepers by rents layer and sentenced to pruning not like the stuff that happens when you're in the hot tub burning shriveled up. Oh i get criticized for my jokes and this kind of stuff. it's just better. I'm not a dad k. After be fifteen hundred. Fifteen comes in and says location. Sylvie maybe there should we call them like silky or or lowly like. I don't wanna do that..

"To do, but I think that we could have had something different if we're looking for a new all around back. I think he's gonna be good. But I like the guys ever. Slashers, Two of the Isely brothers inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in the early nineties at the podium now to announce the Miami selection. The Miami Dolphins Jovon Harlan. I wonder if Javon Holland the safety out of Oregon, honestly would know who the Isely brothers are. Wow. I mean, seriously, man. I mean, we all do, but let's face it. John Holland is the Is 20. I believe 21 might not know. But he is now a member of the Miami Dolphins, Fellas. You like this pick I do? I just I like some of the other safety's here better. I guess we know we had a conversation last week about maybe more eggs a little bit more of Ah, project than some are willing to admit, just the upside there. There are people that I've talked to about John Holland. I think he could be the best safety in this class. I think he's incredibly talented again. Another superior athlete. Just felt like he's gonna be more of around three kind of guy. I would prefer Richard Grant. That's my number one safety next safe. He was going to Tehran morgue drawn. Arlindo is gonna be a firm day to pick so it's not like it's unbelievable reach. This is just another one of those players that apparently they liked little more knighted 5 33 on this Friday afternoon, the Philadelphia Eagles around the clock now pick number 37 5th overall pick in the second round, we will let's step aside..

"The Heisman Trophy winner? Devante Smith? What kind of pro? Do you think he's gonna make? Similar to Mack Jones in the sense that I think he's more dynamic. He's probably more NFL ready. He's a complete receiver. But with that lack of size and the stunt that he pulled the Senior Bowl. I don't think he's a good receiver for every single offense. I think if you're cold weather offense, you may shy away if you you know, you like to run the ball a lot. And you want your receivers to block downfield. A lot of the Baltimore Ravens, you may shy away from him. I think in Atlanta Falcons offense, the thousands who obviously don't need another issue, but that's sort of offense. Maybe even what the Miami Dolphins are trying to do. I think he'd be a very good fit. And the stunt that you're talking about. You're talking about him, refusing to be measured at the Senior Bowl. Not only just measured, but why did he even show up Because he didn't practice? You know, he took a roster spot and he went there and basically did nothing so not being measured was You know major blemish, but then he doesn't show up the practices, which I just thought was just really a bad public relations move. Yeah, we and we're for an Alabama player. I mean, like you think you know, coming on the next savings program. You'd be pretty buttoned down from that respect. Absolutely. Especially since you know his quarterback was there. You know, perform well. He had his left tackle there in Alex Leatherwood, who performed the offensive tackle. Brown was there and, you know, Granted, this was a different year in the sense that you didn't have. Hands. They're watching Senior bowl practices. But usually the Alabama players are the highlight of senior Well practices obviously is and reasons the event takes place in Alabama. But when he had all those other times even is running back a guy even the running back now Jay Harris, who measured in and then took a few reps here in there at practice. When he really didn't have to. It was just a bad move all around by the van to Smith. Hey, uh, Tony that we had several opt outs this year of guys that are viewed as his high draft picks. How did the How did the opt out? How did their decision to opt out or has it? Affected their draft stock either positively negatively or no effect at all. Well, I don't think it's going to affect anybody positively and only in the sense that these guys didn't get heart because they weren't on the field, but I think it depends on the player in the position. You can't broad brush it a guy like Penny Sewell of Oregon. I don't think it really affected him anyway. One shape or another. He's a terrific left tackle prospect. He's athletic. He was highly graded coming into the season, so I don't think a guy like that. Um, it's going to affect other guys will have to wait and see. My own personal point of view is guys like Michael Parsons of Penn State's celebs? Farley of the cornerback from Virginia Tech, I think is gonna have a negative effect on them. Parsons is a guy who's a great athlete. He's an explosive player, but his instincts or suspects Harley is a cornerback that showed flashed ability since his freshman season getting never put together one consistent year where we just basically dominated the opposition, and I think I've seen people talk about him as a top 15 pick. I don't agree with that on Lee because of the fact that he was very streaky at Virginia Tech, and I thought he really needed to play this season. Where the strength of this particular draft in the 1st and 2nd round Tony what? What positions of the positions of strength. Quarterback as we you spoke about earlier. I like the receiver class. I don't think it's his death at the lower end. But when you're talking about the first, you know 100 picks. I think it's very strong. I think it is a very strong offensive tackle class really strong, offensive tackle class. I think you know if you get caught. If you get past Kyle pitch is gonna be a very early selection. I think there is some good death at the at the tight end position and day two. Who are a few names that really helped themselves out at the senior Bowl of guys. Maybe you have any of you mentioned back Jones earlier. Who are some other guys that maybe were a little off the radar, but they've all of a sudden put themselves in the conversation to be in the mix, you know, moved up a day in the draft. Let's say Yeah, I think guys that were kind of off the radar outside the scouting community, Dwayne Eskridge. The smaller but explosive receiver out of western Michigan on Lee practice two days because he suffered a pectoral injury on day three but could not be stopped. I mean, he was separating from defenders every which way possible through his route, running with his speed down the field that was consistently 3 to 4 yards behind opponents. Any quote, everything thrown His direction. Obviously, the talk of the town has been Quinn miners, the small school guard from Wisconsin Whitewater who was absolutely dominant, I mean, basically had a alley market type of performance. Ali Market, the offensive lineman from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who's that was Super Bowl champion. Went to the senior ball about six years ago and destroyed everybody. That's what Quinn miners did pass rushing drills run blocking. I mean top level talent, which is burying them day after day. Think Richie Grant, the safety from Central Florida also elevated his play. You know, the senior ball is you sort of like the combine you go to the Senior Bowl with expectations. And if you beat those expectations, you come out of it with the higher draft grade than when you went in, and that's what Richard granted because people thought his ball skills were suspect, and he was intercepting past day after day in the middle of the field out on the flanks. Really showed himself to be a complete safety. Does the lack of a combine. Did that AMP up the importance of the Senior bowl for a lot of these guys? Absolutely no doubt about it. I mean, really, the senior Bowl except for the whole of all, which had some decent talent there, but overall was nothing compared to the Senior Bowl. When you really get down to it. The Senior Bowl was the on Lee major free draft event that's going to take place this year. The shrine game No combine We hope we get a bunch of pro days, although we don't know what that's going to look like, so absolutely. And I mean in some cases I mentioned Quinn miners. There were some guys who opted out of season You'd mention the opt out before it. Nico Collins and the receiver from Michigan and every Thomas, the cornerback from Michigan. It was the only chance that a lot of these guys are the first time that the guys have played football competitive football in more than a year, so absolutely was incredible importance on the Senior Bowl this year. "Next day was making plays all over the field. I didn't think you would Be able to get any better. And then you have two receptions off Jamie Newman and 11 on 11 and looks great. So no in terms of the guys who make themselves most money this week, Richard granted definitely at the top of that board. Um, I'm excited. See where he went, You know, obviously had the Steelers writer. I wouldn't mind having come in that secondary, especially with you know the guys that will be kind of rotating out here in the next year and year too, But No, he was phenomenal. I'm excited. Watch him tomorrow and see how he does. I would love I will lose my mind if you get another one. Yeah, I would. I would be nothing to make me happier than this year. Richie Grant, Pick six. Tomorrow. I'll say that much. I thought it was a little gratuitous when Ryan stood over me threw up a W with his hands and screamed Wu tang right after right after that happened, but You know, I really thought that you were going to say the most enjoyable part of your experience was sitting where you sat in the section in the V I P section with the two incredibly handsome, incredibly talented persons that you were sitting with that I can't recall their names off the top of my head, But with with none, Albright and nine settlers a couple guys I know a little bit about a little bit about Yeah, they know it was so fun with Who did you have the most fun watching? Not not who made the most money? Who out there. Just You watch the guy you like. Hollis despises. Do that treat getting to watch this guy. Starts with. Have a South Carolina look really fun. You know, his head would look nice and you know, in a solid and solidarity drills, you know in the Count's Hey, had a really nice diving catch of one day one. A man since the days rolled up. You're like, OK, I was a little bit more attention to try Smith. I think your telephone. We had a Syracuse. He had a really nicely. He's fun to watch the day. Daniel. Um, the last day there, you know, he kind of had a little bit a couple of check ups, Um on Tuesday Wednesday. They were doing seven on seven on Thursday, and they let that girl go longer than expected. And DJ just stuck with a man like glue. And after the after the bills done, you know you could hear all the way for everybody to saying that DJ DJ so No, those those few guys mean Mel a phone we do. I think it's just overall really fun to watch. Um, I think that might not be popular because there's a bunch of people kind of killing this guy on Twitter. But in the right situation, I think he's really gonna work house on as well being that I love you put him down in the box. Next new line of scrimmage. Let him work that way. That's just do that. Everything that dressing just put him where he's comfortable. You know everybody with killing because he wasn't doing good and wide receiver one on one How often we're gonna see, you know, a strong safety. He was going one on one with, you know a receiver in terms of that situation, not, you know, not too often. But you know, he looked at. You got too tight and you made a few plays yesterday. And you know, I just love watching them work. Thanks for last year with your kind of nose for the ball on any time he's in that situation more often than not, you know, you're going to be the guy who's around the people making the tackle. So I liked which dies. And it did. Frank Darby was a lot of fun yesterday. Um, he had a nice next touchdown against angry Thomas, who I mean by all means every Thomas was And good coverage. It couldn't shake him. It's a matter of Frank Harvey making life catch. So there's a lot of fun guys that were a lot of fun. I mean, we can't go without talking about the kitchen, Wisconsin Whitewater, I guess. I mean, he's just the most human being on the planet right now down in mobile, but You know, there's a lot of fun, guys, Don't you quit minor snow. He's absolutely a guy that improved his stock. We're gonna get to the breaking news coming up here just a little bit. Nolan Garda Nolan are not has been traded to the ST Louis Cardinals. We'll talk about that here in matter. Moments last couple here for you, Jared Bailey joining us. Let's talk about the quarterbacks. I feel as though this hype train behind Mac Jones It's kind of gotten a little bit out of hand. I thought he had a good week. I didn't think he had a Broncos need absolutely. Take him at draft pick number nine kind of weak. So what did you come down on Mack Jones and how he overall performed? Well, if you like Paxton Lynch, you will love Mack Jones. Remember fat? So, um, hey, didn't do. I don't think any of these quarterbacks down here are gonna be no long term starters. I think Max got the obviously the highest chance to get a shot at being a starter. But when you look at them, Jamie Newman, he didn't look all that great. Kalman did look great, but no Mac had someplace That's not to say he didn't do you know? Well, it all. It's just a matter of You know is mechanic's gonna be that gray Has this decision making gonna be great? He did a lot of check down on 11 on 11 this week. And I want to see more. I want to see you know, all right now, just trying to bomb it downfield. See what happens when you got that He has a horrible arm is just a matter of okay. Can you really do it to the next level and Like I said, if there's one guy who's gonna be able to do it and get the opportunity to do it, it's gonna be Max Jones. Um, but in terms of the guys, they're down here right now. You know, a few of them. You know my jet To be back up for a while. Moving your journey, men, maybe even a few head over the XFL and try to, you know, make some noise. They're like CJ Walker did. Um, but instead of the anybody being a long term starter, Mac will have the chance to do it. But even that I don't think we're gonna be do you think improve the most over the course of the week. You know, one of the quarterbacks. I thought that was your book Overall who you think the improved like when you first saw me like and then by the end of the week, okay. This is quarterback. There's there's anybody. Anybody anybody Uh, and also walking that he, um he had a very good week on there's a lot of memories about him coming in. Then you go back and watches college state and we kind of realized that Wow, this guy can kind of gotta play. Um, he had I mean, his his mechanics are really just really good. You know, I went back and watched it from my reports for pro football Never again. He just looks really crisp and everything. He does his brakes and nice. Um, you know, he had a route can member who's against? But it was really solid timing on his rounds. Being able to, you know, break to the outside of the perfect spot. Really? It was shake his man in a good way. So also walking that e u A. B. I think you're gonna be one of the guys who kind of flies another red or probably go anywhere between you know the 4th and 5th round. Um, be a nice, solid pick up but now I think that he definitely helped himself a lot this week. You know, he's got a smaller school, so it's not gonna didn't really garner all that much attention. Percent? No, um you know, you asked the U A V coaches around, You know, baby thing, you know, like that. We're not about this guy's about time you got a little bit more attention. So I think awesome walking that, are you? Maybe you definitely improved a lot throughout the week. I like what I thought. Jerry Bailey at J. Bailey in F L. "One of those nineties. Yeah, First of all, Ryan, How dare you Not know when the Quad City D J dropped this? I mean, I don't know the specific year. I just know that I was like a teenager. Which got me thinking this eighties and like, no, I just like, Well, maybe this Look, it was a long flight. 1995 96 I was up for like 5 A.m. every night this week, you know, Bible study in such right? Yeah, the really Bible study services in the way the church's keep their doors open to certain times. They publish this in at the bar. Oh, my goodness. They bite us. I don't know who could remember. I I do remember, we're in a curio key thing one night And then another night, Ben was heckling this keyboardist, and I'm sad, though. Yeah, well, this is terrible. He was working as mob was their mom was the only person there stuff. The two tables over there got up and left. Islam is sitting over there the corner and she's like enjoying her son. He got on his keyboard and he started playing Mr Bright Side. The killers and the only bright side about that song was what it ended. Good. Yeah, it was 96 right? Was right. See? No. My quad City DJs. Yeah, one hit wonder Wednesday that would have been appropriate. I just don't think that's something to be proud about. But you know, whatever it is, you're let me of dance to that Some high school dance to this song just for the guy. You made the guy cry like I mean, you let that tip I like him a tip This poor keyboard from 100 bucks at a fish restaurants cry. I loved him 100 bucks because I felt bags were not allowed back in that restaurant. That's not true. Was clouding him was clouding him all night really was bad about it. First I was I was pretty ruthless. It was bad, bad. I'll give the one thing I can't imagine being up in your room. And you're playing the key. When you're like this is this is my career path, right? You're hearing what I was hearing the best quote. Not best. In a good way was when you said you know what the best part about This set that he's played right now is when he stops in between songs to S So little was so bad Was it that bad? So it's so but he couldn't carry a tune because he couldn't play a cable's green Day was perfect. Yeah, it was perfectly bad, like Green Day. Uh, e And you, man, all the text line. 56690 Give me all your Doetsch coin, Ben. Also started discord. Server Yeah, People want me to start a discord Server for Crypto currency advice, so I might I might actually get around to doing that. I don't know if I the way that I will turn that those if I if I do a server like that, I'll answer your questions, and I'll put stuff out there. But I'm like, I don't give people advice. I just tell you what I'm doing and let you let you trail that if you want. I hate giving advice. Because if it's wrong, then you know you blame me for that. Also in our text line, 56690 Twitter verified that my Honda Accord is actually Lamborghini. Yeah, it was a Nissan Ultima. Yeah. Bryan Ryan would sensible You swear to God, That's the saddest thing. Has the best car I've ever owned. Flash driven. Got a Nissan Ultima was nice. We rolled around. We rolled around in that luxury automobile all week. Yes, keep keep rolling their way to get another text in here. What were you guys don't know what you guys should have done. What? I should have gotten the Tesla so it could drive you guys around wherever you wanted, and you only enough to touch the wheel. Coover gets it. Whoever gets it. Cooper's book in our car from that one. Good luck with that. You could literally go anywhere and do whatever you want, and I want your pie was going. I wanted to roll around mobile in style. I wanted to rent a Lamborghini Murcia Lago for the week and I got vetoed. Hurvitz Toad, I guess is there would be more I proposed. I gave we have to get to our guests. But I gave you the opportunity to to handle that. And you know you, you flaked. That's really what we have something We have somebody saying what kind of monster criticized the pianist right in front of his mother? Well, he wasn't a pianist. He had an elected was like an electric keyboard, and he fancied himself some kind of Entertainer singer kind of thing, but he couldn't carry a tune He couldn't play didn't cold blooded, cold blooded. Let's head out to the hotline and bring on Jerry Bailey. J. Bailey NFL on Twitter. Get my Follow at P F. N 3 65 is the work. He does and does a fantastic job at that, Jared. Thanks for the time, my man. How are you? You just said I do. Remember that? What we were down there? I think Ryan did say, And I quote I'm dressed like I drive a Nissan. Also much it didn't seem to fit. You know who I'm never gonna criticize a part of his mother. Jerry Bailey, did you gotta be kidding me, Jared, That was so I was told in private cable wire it I love it. You're welcome to the show, Brother. It is great to have you. What happens in mobile station Mobile is that that's not necessarily true. Ryan was right. He absolutely was right. Though. In that moment in that moment when he said that I was like, yes, I mean, I was worried. Hoody and wears a dress like a driving Nissan Ultima. And then I had a ridiculous jacket on you were dressed like somebody that would be driving a Lambo that, you know, I think I've probably been stolen or something. Sure, Sterling Archer. I'm pretty sure Jared Leto wore that jacket playing the Joker in the suicide squad. Movies, phrasing. All right, Jared, It's good to have you on, man. Thanks so much for your time. Let's talk about through the Senior bowl week, and it was your first time out there. What did you What did you think? Overall, the experience. There was a lot of fun, You know, obviously, you know, independent make you don't get to do the things that we would have usually done this week, but no man. I mean, rubbing shoulders with all the right people there, you get to see, you know, the guys show Well, guys want to raise their dress, Doc, and you know that place off you got to do that, and it's fun to be a part of We got the game tomorrow. So you know, that would be fun to see the guy's no good, just watching them two drills for a few hours each day. Nothing really compares to, you know, live game action against, you know the best of the year, so I know it's been a fun week. It'll wrap up tomorrow and, you know, gonna be a fun ending to it. All right, let's get away with all the niceties. Let's just talk about how great Richie Grant is because, man that dude, that dude is electric finished off practice week with two interceptions. I feel everybody going into the week that he was special. What do you think about him after this week? Man, the ultimate might drop that you had the final drive before you guys had, you know to take off. All right, You know, Richard granted getting interception here, then we'll head out. And then two plays later, Richie Grant had an interception and Ryan stood up. In victory over Ben and it was left, but no man. He everything he got better. You know, on Tuesday, he looks solid. You know, he had interception slip through his hands up your mom back Jones, but I was alone. Deep safety on that lady came over the top. I believe the passes to Marty Rogers, who had to step on his man and he made a play on the ball. You look great..

"And you know how long it would take your coaches to get in there Those the questions you have to ask. No, I think that's really well said, and it's a great thing. I think we should always keep in mind. As we go through this predraft process, the relative floor relative ceiling more than anything what? You know what it is he for your organization. If you have a position to take Jamie Newman because he could sit on the bench for a couple of years and and develop behind, Ah, veteran quarterback. Well, that's great. But if you're drafting Jamie Newman with the anticipation that he may need to play meaningful snaps, and you're one you're making a mistake, Same thing, and the answer is sending betray Lance on day and I'm sure Tim would would back that up. But You know it, Z really What it is is when are these guys gonna become contributors? Because if you're a coach, you're looking at this and you're saying Well, are is this front office drafting this guy for the guy was gonna take my job because we didn't have. We could have used that on a linebacker that I needed or corner that I needed to make this defense or offense, work or whatever. And so I think that's really you know, when Broncos country talks about investing in the quarterbacks, how long it's gonna take in this that the other I think you need to look at it through that frame of reference is How long are these things gonna take? How long's it take these guys develop, who are day one. If they're not a day, one contributor. If it's not a guy who could start they won. Why would the Broncos even have interest because Vic Fangio's in a playoff mandate? Let's get to some other positions here from the American League will go with the defensive backs because that's something that I've really cared about. And this group is so special. First, the good for your guy. A fee to Mel. A fondue outstanding day should come away with an interception. But it was a nice pass break up kind of tip it up to the air. It himself didn't quite come down with it The play before that had a PB. You closed the gap. Quick on the play. We're able to knock the ball out at another people. You very beginning Practice. I thought a fee to mill upon. We had one of mean obviously for the first two days. It was his best day and he started out well, so he had a good day. Richie Grant, my guy. Outstanding day from him. Hamza! Cyril! Dean, There you go. He had Okay day he sometimes something down. It's a little exposed in man coverage. You wouldn't be asked to do that for the Broncos. Necessarily. They had him playing up in the box quite a bit today, But when it came to man in coverage, he looked a little touch slow, but those were some of the guys that jumped out at me. I don't know. I like Bryan Mills. Hold it pretty well, too. Yeah. What do your observation of the DBS? Yeah, I agree with you on. Obviously, I like telephone. Well, we've talked about him and knowledge and I'll tell you this talking to some people today. He's guys probably go in the second round. These people hired people think he is. There are a lot of teams very interested zone heavy teams cover three cover four type teams so you would fit with the Broncos would do also fits with, for instance, the Raiders would do and I'll tell you that's one team that would be very interested right there in the division. So just something to kind of keep your eye on with him a little bit. I like this, Geraldine, Um you know, I think that he's I think he's gonna be something eventually. Richard Grant. He was a guy I thought had the best day I thought he played lights out today. I thought it was great. Um, there was a couple of plays. I didn't get a chance to look at him. But I thought he looked pretty good when I had my eyes on him, And that's good to see that every time you're checking back, you know he's doing something in There you go. You know, you want to see that kind of thing that these That these practices so I thought he played pretty well. Um Yeah, Overall, I you know you talk about the DBS guy that jumped out at me. It was the TV was going against him was shot Smith. I thought two days in a row. He's look good. So just, you know for me when you got your eye on one thing, and something else jumps out at you, you got to kind of make a note of that so brittle Cox linebacker from Ella's, You got a really nice day. Tough one. He was in coverage on Mackenzie, the tight end out of Georgia. And for the second day in a row. This dude makes a one handed catch, and it looked real Cox was in position. There's nothing you could do. The past was right in front, and he just kind of one armed with his right hand, had no chance to play with both hands. But he did the same thing the day before we made a great adjustment on the back shoulder. He's been impressive big frame moves really well, much much, much smoother than his friend would suggest back to Djibril Cox. If that is the inside linebacker kind of guy that the Broncos could target cause again. He's so long you could put him on tight ends. I mean, he's has seen. Seems like he has the speed to cover out of the backfield as well. That would be the dude out here. That I like the most so far. Yeah, I think he's probably the best fit for what the Broncos currently do on defense. If you go back and you look at a t these guys and looking and he was seen some of the names get tossed around, but he's got it shows up and we saw him show up here that interception today as well. But we saw him show up on a couple and you mentioned that catch from the Georgia You know you look it. You defended that a swell as you possibly could. And he still made that one head catch. I thought I got some news and I was from the from the crowd out there. I thought it was great play. Yeah, he shows up every player plays great defense. At least one of those guys that go back will take, you know, And I'm like, okay. All right, You show me something. Here. Let me go back with tape. See what we got? This could be a guy that you'd be. You'd be very interested in couple receivers. A Mari Rogers came on late and practice Hey, was spectacular yesterday didn't do much early on. But then, as practice we're on. Remember, there's that Syria's there with the defense was winning everything and all of a sudden he caught a deep, deep catch over the middle. Just kind of settled in the middle of all the defenders and then just went up and caught it. I thought he had It's a really nice moments. Anybody else stand out to you? As far as wide receivers and Cornell Powell continues to make nice places, both claims and guys, that's really what was the claims of Receivers Bowl showed out a little bit. I thought it had been probably the most consistent Outside of shy Smith, Um, ever there is. Tony had two bad drops the beginning practice my goodness, and he was verbally audibly upset, right what he said..

"12, PB use terrific tackler. And he just has incredible instincts. And you sort of have to to be because, like he's like 5 10, so he's not even a big dude. And you got you gotta have to be that when you're a slot corner, you gotta have great instincts. That's like Chris. You know, I mean, and one of the things that was pointed out multiple times. By analyst that were kind of breaking down. Elijah Bolton is that he's kind of a dude that studies film a lot and that jumped out to me as well, because that's something that Chris Harris keep believe Those guys were huge on film and tendencies. And you could see that Elijah Molten hey, makes calculated gambles out there, and that's why he got four interceptions in 2019. I didn't. I didn't have a ton of from productivity this last year, but I mean, I think you know 20 twenties. Weird year. I'm I'm having a hard time then And maybe you could. You could help me on this because I'm having a hard time when guys had a great 2019. It had just a so so 2020. What do you read into that The tape is your didna and some of it's gonna be good. Someone's getting bad this past season had extenuating circumstances You're going to find that they're going to be teams that are more willing to look past. Maybe bad tape in this year If they had great tape before and and view it is an aberration. I think you take whole picture. I mean to me. What? Why ask? You gotta ask why they're having bad tape this year. Why are you down you talked about you know, we're talking about a pass rusher before the before the show Macabre shed, right? And, um, you know to me, you ask the question. Why do you go with the tape? It's pretty obvious why? You know, he didn't match is back. Those like you don't have a single sack this year, believe you said, But you know, it's if you can answer those questions. If you can answer the wise and then say, OK, is that something that is going to affect him at the pro level? Is he going to get that kind of attention at the pro level? If he's the only guy on his team, you know kind of thing in some of these cases, so I think those are the things you gotta ask yourself. I think you have to put it in the context of why, and then go from there. If you can't figure out why, then? Um I don't know. Maybe you pass on them out there this year. Such a weird year. Yeah, right. Only isolated away happened before. I don't have a context. I don't have a personal or professional spirit to draw from on that. I'll just say that it for me personally. I'm gonna look back at the old tapes, okay? He was doing these things. Well, why is he not doing them now and then go from there. And that's the best answer I could give on that. Richard Grant one of the attacks detectors just send texting on the text like 56690 saying. Richie looks good, a little light in the pants, though. Yeah, he comes in at £194. So yeah, he could probably stand pulls up, but he's not bad When you say the same price. Callahan's What a buck 78 dripping wet right? Guys 1 94 as a safety. Hey, looks like he plays pretty light. So I'm not saying but I don't want to. You know, this is always that tough balance. I don't want to speed if you're adding on muscle or wait, Say, if you go through one year of pro strength and conditioning, he's gonna get 200. That's fine. Yeah. You know, it's a little light for safety 202 or five kind of the number, but you'll get there after one year in a strength and conditioning program. So, uh, the guy that the safety I want the Broncos. Look at it. You're gonna be at Senior Bowl. That's on Francis. Go get your guys out of Syracuse got 14 interceptions in 24 games. 14 pass breakups, but you know, he's a bit of a freelancer on Do you know he's gonna have some, uh, some tackling some run Phil stuff, but overall, I think he's the guy I wanted to look at. I thought you looked good, but his teammate? Yes, that's the guy is going to be. It's I'm glad you brought him up. And that's when I think we're both excited to, uh, get a chance to watch to that smell. If Abu Ah fee to Mila fondue he's definitely day two player day two days. Three player his own corner, your attempt to corner or safety. That kind of thing. Case in the morning, the mold of like an old Jim Moody, I think 6 ft three. It's kind of got the hybrid big size get the hybrid thing, but I like him a lot. I think both those guys out of Syracuse and if you're the Broncos, and you make a scout trip, you might decide. Hey, we need both these guys out here. Bring him on in. Yeah, I put down on my notes here because I liked him quite a bit. So it's It's funny how you mentioning guys that I definitely like, But if you two more marathon woo out of Syracuse Put if you can get him an early day. Three absolute stud in this defense. He's a tackler. He's a great run Defender. You know, any guys obviously covers well. But again, not not really That man corner that you want. No. But because of his length like you just think that he could develop into Whatever you kind of need him to do. And then again, we're talking about a leak that you have to be able to cover these elite target tight ends and some of these X receivers And once in a while, you're gonna be a safety that gets matched up on And somehow I think he's a guy who compares in terms of his game a little favorably to will parks. You know, you didn't That's all right. But in this game the way he plays speed is similar to will parks athletic profile similar will parcel of color, you know, obviously clocked Lanza with better just like you, but, um, you know, heavy nickel. You know, could play a little bit smattering of corner here. There's mattering a debate. I just kind of a db more than he has a corner or safety. But you gotta be thinking about this as as a multiyear situation, right? Because you're kind of looking and we're gonna We're gonna bring you all these names. I mean, we're gonna watch practices next week, and we'll tell you who's kind of standing out. We're kind of going into this with guys that we'd like. We'll see how they perform. Last year. I went in with Michael Llodra, Moody, and I was like, Okay, I want to see this guy. He had some up and down practices. He had some good. He closed the week strong. And they obviously made an impression of the Broncos that they traded up to go get him or they took. They took him high. And then they ended up moving around. Did they trade? Did they know that they didn't trade up it all? They they stay where they're at. They took him, though ahead of where they could have taken a center. That's where it was. And then they let they let the center because they were looking at the given temple then they went up with with cushion. Barry. Yeah. Anyway. So what? One of the things that um I kinda lost my train of thought. But ultimately as I'm I'm going into this week. I'm excited to see kind of how these guys perform. And if you two Milovan, who was the dude that jumped out right away, So like that's a great safety group, the quarterbacks were just kind of okay. Uh, I was kind of mixed, like like, you know, Sometimes I was looking at guys okay with this guy fit, you know, is he only a boundary corner. Is he on Lian outside corner And how? How much you know where would I take him? Like there's guys like Darius Williams out of Oklahoma State. I thought he was a good He's the part of their greedy Williams. He's gonna be there. Good technique. I didn't get a lot of interceptions. So you know, like, okay, I'm interested to see what he can do is a boundary corners and outside corner only, But, you know, he just wasn't one of those dudes that was always like looking for the ball. So you know, you get some penalties here and there. And But athleticism is there He's in while me..

"We really should be focusing about the the best five guys that play together down the stretch. I mean it didn't matter tonight because it was they blew the doors off them, but you don't want to go down big game because you're starting the wrong guy, right but it's not even it's not even the where you're playing the guys you're looking at the guys who played the most minutes and tonight. It was Jalen Jason semi-gloss Pritchard and there are you guys and then it was actually Grant and it's hard to argue that those weren't your five best players. Right. Well, yeah. Those are your five best players tonight. We're Tatum Brown Richard Richard Grant Williams. Semi ojeleye, and they played the most minutes. So you're right at the end of the day. They did lean on the players that are playing best for
