I don't know whether this consider old school baseball. Just smart baseball has Nate and Nathan and a brief headfirst. To run a, though one nobody out count to a No. They got yes, way in a way. It makes me that's kind of stupid force that will strike the improv. We call it You could have called a strike on Bo. It is that they didn't go ahead in the right manner. Opinions. Well, which was this now in the bottom of the eighth inning? You're saying bottom with a thin and breathing the first to run of Oh, nobody out and party with the rook it better to both know straight he's swaying away deported pitches. Man. This shit head third base go to give him that takes forth into the story straight. Yeah. I mean, look, I don't remember the specific I'm just trying to call up here, though. I'm not seeing Ah, that particular inning and last night's came out in the eighth, Freeman started that ending out with double run of the show. Freeman started the inning out with double on then I'm flying out in until my eighth in and first I'm looking. I'm looking at the eighth inning. I mean, unless this thing is wrong here, the ESPN The ESPN box score. This is Yeah. I got the right game up here. No, um, anyway, uh, yeah, This is this is the right game. So maybe it was different anyway. We've admit it would get into the game and bring her the first You run alone and Pasha, who is the knight? Better he coming up? Oh, maybe there's seventh innings, seventh inning. Austin, Reilly singled. Um, And then they had, um Holmes thing just reset here. Yeah, And then they Camargo walked right, right. And then they get double playable. You're right. I mean, look when especially after a guy walks You'd hate to see and you need to get runners on. I mean, they're down five runs at that point yet See guys swinging at the first pitch. The pitcher with although to please count already to Ono issued forth in those those strikes. Yeah. Or in this case, right? If it's not just the first page forces and throw a strike, I could understand that, Richard. I mean, you know, Look, it's not the reason why they lost the game, but yeah, it could have kept the rally going or got a rally going there. That does drive me nuts and thank you for the coal when you have, and I was not watching the game at that particular moment when you have a Pitcher who was wild. You trying to get guys on. And you're trying to start a rally and you have a pitcher who was well, Then you get guys swing at the first pitch or you get to a to a no account and you're not picking out. You know, you're not letting him throw a strike or you're not picking out the best pitch there. I mean, that could be frustrating. Although Tuo and not 30 on that spot, I would think three or you're not swinging old banalities who knows with baseball to O in that spot is where you want to be, but it better be a perfect pitch. And in this case You know again. I didn't see it so I could just read the box score. Ah, he grounded out into a double play past it. I mean, that's you know, that's obviously wasn't the perfect pitch for him. Todd is calling from Tampa Bay. What's up, Todd? Lost was getting on the business here. Okay, Now I know my man cash. You don't have the killer instinct. I know that. Okay, You're born with it, And I know you don't have it. So, fellas, let me say something to the team. If you don't put Austin Meadows in right field, Okay, and start him here more. I know you got a broken hand. I don't give a dog on if you can hit your in center And and Randy, who's having unbelievable See season. You're in left, Okay and brand allows a second choice. At first a Thomas. It's short and Wendell at third base. Okay, as Dino, You're not getting any past ball's here. He's got the Astros were not throwing. If you're looking for dead bread, you look on the first pitch because you're swinging at garbage, okay? And move the runners in cash. But get your offensive move the runners. We shouldn't we should have had. We should have swept these clowns. Okay? We should have swept these clouds, and now we're giving them life. Now we got a game Seven. OK, the only thing the only saving grace you won't hear my honor to play with a broken hand. Yes, right here. The guys the guys all he says I don't I I listen. I'd rather die than lose this game tomorrow because you will never walk or what anybody says you. I think this is Game seven. This is their last chance. Okay? I'd rather I'd rather die than lose. And you guys have these clouds peak. You're better than them. I know it. They know it and everybody knows it. And you got to close this thing out. Okay, That's the bottom line to be a champion. You gotta do whatever it takes to be a champion. Can you imagine? Todd Todd? Just envision for a second if you will. Being the second team right there with the Yankees from 2004 2nd team to blow a three games to none lead. How'd that make you feel? The Yankees are allowed a Mulligan because they got 26 World Championships. OK, the first time we 27 but who's counting one twenties, right? But what we want we if we had the manager job, bad one with a lot of people put Jeff Stephen on the roster. We would've beat the Phillies. Now our manager is doing the same stupid crap tomorrow. It's Norton. It's Charlie. It's Charlie Morton. It's glass now for two innings and and and Blake still you're going to show up and you're gonna finish this and close this out like they should have done tonight. Defense Wins Championships Defense Defense defense race get it done tomorrow piece. All right, Peace out peace out of here. Oh, apiece we out of here was the famous Adam Sandler's saying there. Look, you're fired up. I've never heard in my life. There's a first time for everything. Never heard in my life. A passionate Tampa Bay Rays. Finn, I kind of like it..

"I called a on which was where Judy weaned worked and they said, we're sorry I couldn't find any information online young weird reach or. So, but I had that reference to a on. So I called A on. And they said, we're sorry she hasn't come back into the office ever since this happened and we can't get up give out her phone number. I I completely understand that I said I think it might have been my son that saved her. So here's my phone number. Can you reach out to her please and tell her and with by by the end of the day Judy Wing, call me back and we spoke and then I was able to I guess she had said they had set up a group like. Communication via email with the people that had been survivor of the of the south. Tower. So she communicated with Lynn Young I sent a picture of wells to. Duty, to Judy, I think, no, I sent a picture while Judy on lane and lane. It was linked son Richard who contacted me because link at that point she was burned over forty percent of her body. She was just in terrible shape but strongly strongly and was so they were so happy to think that maybe they found the man maybe they knew who this wasn't now so Richard called in photos in and Richardson. This photo is like wealth with standing next to in other firefighter who Ultimately died. Of nine eleven related issues for taking my husband when they were on the John d McCain which was the fireboat f the N.. Y. fireboat that thought all the fires at ground. Zero. And when my husband took the picture, he said dead. just be sure you get the towers in the background, and so we have that photo was the boat with the towers background with these two firefighters both come to. To the to. Their you know the event. But what I did was because I the pictures I sent were of wells with I. Guess what was in the paper was a high school. Then, I sent what else is college picture where he's all dressed up in a suit and tie and Richard Young. Ling son, it said well, he said it was pretty you know crazy there he certainly wasn't dressed in a suit. can you send a more casual pictures? So I sent that picture that my husband had taken on the boat, but cropped out the towers. So they didn't know I didn't want to upset them in I didn't want to. Influence them in any way, but I sent that picture of wells and then. Then Richard Call in my mother thinks this may be the man, but I have a couple questions for you. Number one was this red was this redhead? What does please describe this red handkerchief that he was wearing and I said well, if it was solid red a first of all, he's an older gentleman was aroused. If was a solid red handkerchief that wasn't lousy to have been abandoned with Diana print that he was wearing. And certainly L. and then he said, well, he was just he didn't have a shirt on walls by the way was known for stripping off his clothes and especially in a situation like this, you know where it was. So intense. He was just wearing an undershirt. Can you describe plays? They said sure it would not have been one of those whatever you call you know those take top underwear shirts was would have been a short sleeve crew neck brooks brothers. UNDERSHIRT and he said, yeah, that's it. He said, okay you know that's the man. So that was the confirmation judy wing confirmed in the Navy talked before they called me they both talked to try piece together. The timing of wells helping them because they didn't come down together. So turns out whilst brought Ling Daryl I. To clear, which was about the sixty first floor and Ling was carrying Welson Sibling can you carry a fire extinguisher and she said, yes, because that's when he carried this woman. An African American lady over his shoulder down although slice in the seventy eight Florida. The sixty first floor. And then he turned around he said. He turned around and go back up and said, do I need to keep? This fire extinguisher in well said, no, you don't have to. It looks like it's good from here on. So she kept on going down to the fortieth floor where there were firefighters to escort out the the African American woman wouldn't get up Ling said you've got to get up and come with me. Now the woman said I can I'm too tired so. Never. Survives. Wells went back up and that's when he found. Judy Leans Group and got them off and then there were other people that hurt him saying over here. I found the stairs come over here. This is the way to go. So that's the story that got Pete's together. He made multiple trips between the seventy eighth floor in the sixty first floor went back up again got more people off came down did not leave the building once he got down and we were told later. By firefighters by emptying my firefighters, Adecco P was. The. Incident Commander in Bruce was instant commander in newsmen. They were they had jaws of life tool hers tool. They were GONNA. Go back up again in order to cut people on I duNno elevators debris or whatever they found, and that's when the towers came down. So they. Actually blown as a group. Because when the towers came down, it was like a pancake. Bellows affecting they were blown as a group out in up against the wall sorbo trade. And that's where they dropped and that's where they were found when they moved the very first ramp down into the pit. And did their final excavation and that's that's when they were in. And the the hall that he made to his friend did he also speak to him after the first plane had hit the north tower? Not a I don't think so no, I don't know it was after the plane hit. The the first tower that's.

"Dale. EARNHARDT's crew chief of all people that came with a lot of expectations and I would say that those expectations way pretty heavy, the longer you went in the ninety seven. So He's Expectations. With Ono ones, part was any greater than my own. You know I left Robert H. Racing. Where I had won a ton of races with three different drivers and I'm thinking if I can take what I know to. Probably what we all look at is the greatest race car driver to grip steering wheel holy smokes. This'll be a snowball going down a hill. They'll never stop. It won't be a matter if we can get his eighth championship matter how many more we can get his expectations were high every we all we all had them, and you know there's a lot said about Dale and I didn't get along and there that's probably way away from the truth we actually got along quite well, but we just couldn't connect with this race car. And I, think our personalities were so different as you probably know, observe me for all these years I'm a little bit high strung up all Michio. And you know Dale. He, he's he's laid back what he's was in the middle of of eight wide. You know and and that probably those those two personalities were probably not working in our favor. But yeah, ninety seven outside of all the ancillary things that I had endured throughout my years as a crew chief with David getting killed and Ernie getting hurt and. Toughest year I've ever had in my life teen ninety seven. Yes. No kidding just. Go to the three-car in we go winless, we own winless. How in the world you could put a monkey work with dealer could last one one second race, and we can't even win a race. It was it got tough I'm telling you. It got tough because I was starting to get accusations from fans about sabotage and Dale's career. I got accusations about Ford me over there to sabotage. Chevrolet, you have no idea I mean. I didn't dare leave that that racetrack with a uniform top on how left there and generic close the irony is, and this was before Social Media Oh. Yeah. This just Mayo coming. Through the. Irony. Ninety seven I thought I was going to have to hire fulltime bodyguard ended up. In amazing. February seventeenth was I think you're a Rockstar I could run for president and got loose. Could've absolutely got vote. For the Republican nomination, but I do want. Because I want to make sure tie in, so you know finally. We just run in. Horrible. Just horrible. We won the Daytona Five, hundred. Hell we went to Rockingham had to use a provisional to start the race and it didn't get any better I. Think we did go to Talladega and finished second but Talladega spoke to run good. There would dale. And finally, we were a dumpster fire. The thirty was a dumpster fire and I think I mean there was there was probably the straw that broke the camel's back again. I was not intimidated by Dale, I respected him, but it was not intimidated by. is we go to, Richmond, Spring Race and we qualified probably somewhere around thirty five or thirty six out of the forty something cars. It's there and I woke up in. The the Hauler, this again, ninety eight, and after qualifying Dale. What to do I? Don't know just in just wasn't comfortable and I slammed that door. and. He had his little TV going in a punch, the off button I said, look I came here to help you win races came here to win racist. But I came here to help you. You've got to decide what you WANNA do with your career and I'll figure out what I want to ride along anymore or not. I cannot do this I cannot. Anyhow walked out that does not sit well. Probably shouldn't have said that, but you know what a minute, I just work in my guts out driving myself nuts kicking my dog, I go home screaming at my wife and I wanted to, he's got figured out so. Saturday night the race, the thirty, one in three, battled their guts out all night long for about nineteenth or twentieth side by side, and so we stayed in Richmond and the and the motorhome had Linden, the kids with me on Saturday night and Sunday. Morning, we just had left the race track and Richard Call. He said, what are you doing? I said just leaving race track. He said what time you think you might be down near the shop area and I told my pre hours. He said, can you can you come here? He said I know Lyndon kids with you. But he said I'll give you a car to drive home can just drop you off us. Yeah. Driving expected to get fired No other thought on my mind. You know I know who's going to come out on short in this. Yeah. So I get their Dale's knock there, but Kevin Hamlin and Mike Skinner's there. It's like this is going to be a weird meeting You know what is this going Richard's office and in a he didn't it. He didn't beat around the Bush. He said guys, I've been thinking about it for a few weeks. Now, he said last night pretty much. Gave me my answer. He sent him on a make some changes. And he says I've got two good race car drivers, I know deller drive race car and Mike, I, know you can drive race car. He said I know I got too damn good. Crew chiefs. No doubt. My Mind Kevin you you. You're smart. You work hard Larry. You've won races. He said I just think I got my gosh, mixed strong in. It's funny because. I had worked with Mike at some tests before we really seem to. We did really seemed to Click I. Probably talked to Mike Skinner more about. A no idea about our race car than I did Dale, you know when I was with the three car and. You know. I, I didn't really know what to say. You Know Imahara knew this was probably the thing that needed to happen and. I told Richard I need to go home and think about it, and he says, well, I respect that but he said I just want you to know this is not an option. This is what I'm going to do and you you you have to decide if you're okay with it, he said I'm not asking you will you take the thirty one I'm telling you I'm swapping my two crew chiefs and I. Mean he was cordial about it so I drove home and talk lend about it. and. I.

Catskills that's still really good this time of year o'neill I've been sleeping out as much as possible because eighty percent of Americans cannot see the Milky Way at night that is not right I really appreciate the unit and I just also camping out the I've done that many times during the years I've been fortunate to see a glowing wood chips hello the words it's called foxfire fungus I've been fortunate twice once actually camped out in Florida and another time up here in the Catskills it's rare sight but the I don't know any of the calls of ever seen it before but it's quite something let me ask yeah John let me ask you a question when you're citing the stars is probably best in the winter time when this low humidity I guess yeah but when you're doing that do use but not killers or do you use a scope powerful scope well we like I mentioned to you before we saw all the moves around Jupiter which is used in a spot in scope for that borne out yet I was quite amazed then I have my camera equipment my set up a toll for the lines and was actually able to photograph that yeah I read a let me recommend a book to you it's called it's called ocean breeze let me say yes by it by bill Bryson and the name of the book is a short history of nearly everything and I could talk about it for I could talk about it for a half an hour but in the book he details some things about the subject of our call now that being viewing the stars and their galaxies and I'll post the following to you in confirmation but also seeking your reaction and and that is this he say is that with the naked eye I own a a nice night you can see two thousand stars may be five thousand with the naked eye with a but not killers you can see fifty thousand stars with go ahead I even have a night vision and when you put that up all righty and bring them up tails he details in that book a fellow in Australia I don't recall his name it doesn't matter and he is a professional at what we are talking about and wins he is sixteen inch telescope in Australia where the humidity is practically zero and where there is no light from any city he can see a hundred thousand galaxies well it meant something I'll bet you will just a generous portion of that with what you do well I'm I'm definitely blessed and I don't take anything for granted one one third by my throat to some people of their Campanella with the police do whatever yes I'd I'd backpack quite a bit slower sponge in your backpack because so you're bound to get a little bit of water in the tank you could just sponge up and bring it out there you go and what is next to nothing fantastic good idea yep good idea and it'll just just one more thing sure school thank you yes squirrel huntin you might think nothing of it but it is couple times my life in my younger years where I was happy to have a squirrel in rice dinners that's about all I had at the time I think we'll have it hi good in the state of I'll tell you this then I'll go in Louisiana squirrel hunting is so popular I think it's Louisiana it's so popular that no one works that day it's a holiday own day of the squirrel season that's great in that wonderful yes yes terrific for taking your child hunting because you see lots of game add you get lots of shots and well there's a lot of reasons why but squirrel hunting is an outstanding participant and at last a long time Hey listen I'm glad you called and I want to I want to know more upon your next call about your astronomy if you will hi my amateur but I I'm fascinated by it as I am and when you get a chance yet "One of the specific goals of the red power movement was to reclaim land the students, including Richard and Linda started you some research to figure out how they could do that. I'm cutting mile. Through mile. Aw. Smile. Developed a plan to take over Alcatraz. Dean shavers. A citizen of the Lombi nation and a junior UC Berkeley remembers the first time he heard about this plan. I met Richard when he came to UC Berkeley. And he asked us to go help him take over Alcatraz island. It was very casually mentioned this was at an end of year party. It one of the students is apartments. And I looked at him say, you're crazy. I don't want that prison. Alcatraz island is a tourist attraction today, but in nineteen sixty nine it was a small abandoned island surrounded by turbulent water. Just north of San Francisco Bay the only way to get there was by boat as a federal prison it once held some of the country's most notorious criminals like Al Capone and George Michigan Kelly, but it closed in nineteen sixty three because it was too expensive to keep running. And it had been sitting empty for six years in Richard called me. And he says do you want to go out on a boat ride around Alcatraz? And so. I said sure here's why this plan to take over Alcatraz actually made sense, according to a treaty from the eighteen hundreds the US government is responsible for returning all abandoned and out of use federal lands to native people this treaty like so many others made with native people in the past have been broken by the US government. But the students argued that the trees still applied, and they could use it rightfully to reclaim their land. And since Alcatraz was now, abandoned, and it was federal land. They felt the island should be returned to the need of community. But word was going around that Alcatraz was going to be sold and turned into a casino when we looked at that. It was like, oh, they're breaking another treaty right in front of our face in this day and age and that was just like. Let's go take.

"Twenty six. On WGM. Jay, I'm asking the question. So young people are deciding not to get married living together is that a good thing or a bad thing. What does it mean for the future as as marriage rates drop children out of wedlock people making decision for a lot of different reasons? One of them is economics. Let's go to Richard calling from Menominee falls. Good morning. Richard morning. What do you think? I I know a couple of people that live together Ben together for five ten years. One of our agencies economics one has gone to college. It has all. Yeah. And the other one doesn't. Take it on. I approve of them living that way by understand why they are doing it. I would have been married forty nine years this year, my wife would still alive. So I am for marriage itself. What do you think I asked the other caller one of the other callers question? What do you think the long term impact of this decision that moves away from marriage? The more to just a really kind of a roommate relationship when the caller said roommate with benefits, what do you think the impact will be? I think it's gonna affect gets in the future. In a way. Fortunately, these people do not having children GRE at three kids. I can tell you. One of them. I don't know if I am that's girlfriend have gotten married, but they back your child out of wedlock, which I don't think it's correct. Like, I said, I am not highly religious. But I believe if you're going to have children Navid you thanks for the call Richard calling from Miami falls to Chuck calling from pleasant prairie. Good morning. Chuck WTMJ. Yeah. Yeah. I think it's kinda like the gamer generation, you know, where they can reset the game anytime they don't like, oh something's going. So they can easily transition from one party to the next. Yeah. They do it in the work situation. And now, you know, the bring it into the relationship intercity. Interesting take their Chuck calling from let's go to Ryan calling from Plymouth. Good morning. Ryan. Good morning. Ryan. Who have yes, sir? Yes. What do you think? Well, I'm forty seven. I'm Mary going on three years of being with my wife and. Our parents are both separated. So there's no wonder that. Younger people don't want. Mary because they saw their parents fail at it. Do you think costs could be part of this? We have a couple of callers and said the economics of the situation drive. Some of this decision making one on the way in weddings are expensive. They can be receptions, and all that stuff. Making that decision to buy a house less. Young people are buying houses. That's a change. And then on the on the back end, if you decide not to be married any any longer it becomes more expensive because you're hiring attorneys to get a divorce that could be part of it as well. I think so I mean, my wife, and I go to Vegas and takes on their boxes to get married. There's certainly a lot of pressure from family to have this big giant wedding.
