"Be shot You back there. Pay attention. All right, let's roll. Shall we? I'm here with my £9 hammer. Which I won fair and square from John Henry in a card game. Going all choked up President Trump allocated more funding to historically black colleges and universities that any other president in history presidency. Is that cool or what? Well, it would be if it was not. Donald Trump, right, and the other president could be any other president. The press would be screaming about this front page New York Times How about this? The poverty rate for black and Hispanic Americans dropped To an all time low. In 2018. Yeah, but that had nothing to do with trump yesterday. No Obama did that. No, no, no again. You hear this anywhere? No, the famous Muslim ban. Excluded 87% of the world's Muslims. That really is an accomplishment, but that's racist. Who would want to keep Muslims out? Well, anybody that Doesn't want people coming in that air anesthetic alter our constitution. The Declaration of Independence. Yeah, well, that's that's just a small point. Blue collar workers. Here we go. Another one blue collar workers enjoyed three times the wage growth of the top 1% of households that did that happened under George Bush. No. Ronald Reagan. No, no. Rogerson Obama. No, but that's one Muslim that when that we really should have excluded and we didn't damn it when that happens. You know people, people that called Obama Muslim were vilified and looked at as some type of crazy conspiracy theory nut cases. I have said before and let me say again. I don't know if he's a Muslim. I'm not going to say is there isn't I mean, I've seen pictures of him and Muslim outfits on the fuse on his way to a Halloween party or what? I doubt it. But The point is, is that it doesn't matter whether he's Muslim or not. What matters is this. He defaulted to Muslim positions. He favored Islam while he was in the White House. He was a Muslim by virtue of his actions of nothing else. That was it. So I don't give a damn whether Obama is a Muslim or not. I do care that he was the worst president in history of mankind. His legacy is what you're seeing in the streets right now. Ah, that academia mate. You're on the edge. Welcome. He actually placated invent over positions to Muslims. Oh, yeah. Bring man kissed the ring. He assumed the position with the when he called. He referred that Bastar referred to that psychotic warning. Iran. As the Supreme leader, which is what that guy calls himself. Obama called him the supreme leader. The reason I'm calling is I don't know if you heard the comments that came early this morning from the mayor of Chicago. And I heard you know what? I'm doing Best quote here, but I woke up to be shocked. Over the conditions of the rioting and looting and taken place. And I heard some commentary about this earlier where you're just now shocked. You know, many people have been shot and killed in your in your community every week. Every week, everybody and you're now you're shocked. By the way, 30 30 35 people were shot over the weekend and four killed and that it wants to many. But 35. That's a low number compared to what happens every weekend there. Absolutely. And now she's shocked from polluting, and she went on to say that she called out the people that did the riding and when she called him criminals, and she said, and I quote we are coming after you really owe another guy because because Ignat got near her house, and she's going to get well. So the question came up is what would happen if President Trump had said those very same words. What if he had woke up? Listen this problem in Chicago and we're going to send the government Troops in to go after these criminals. Actually, she called them criminals and thugs. If he use those words in this that we are coming after you. He would have been again vilified for his commentary and the choice of words as being a racist. But Mayor Lightfoot Khun sake those things and she could do it with impunity. And again. I'm just very irritated by that. Yeah, well, there's not much we can do about it. The people of Chicago It's like what the people of Michigan where are we and rising up? Get rid of the most horrible governor ever and where they would get rid of the most horrible mayor ever. We just complacent if you put one front of the one foot in front of the other. Yeah. The call earlier that back. Forgot Rich Schneider. Yeah. Hey, set the table for her. That's what I said, was my point. What a useless piece of crap, Snyder said to set the table for 100%. And you know what he supported her in the end indirectly. There's a lot of my design their friends their past. Shirky likes her. I mean, have you heard Shirky, whose Senate majority leader or what's his name? Have you heard? And either of these guys even utter the words this mayor are this governor is over the top going into fascist territory. We think she should be recalled. No, You know why they won't do it. They're afraid of her. Their politicians are afraid of telling the truth because they don't want to be pinned with somebody coming back and said he said this and then they got to defend themselves as opposed to being like Donald Trump. It's a screw you. Of course I did. Get the hell out of here. Thanks..

The craziest thing about this is that I don't know if I even have it yet. I won't know for another couple of days. Probably it's an issue that has seemingly come to epitomize the nation's chaotic late response to Cova Nineteen so the current tests. That's been available up to this. Point has been very manual or labor intensive so that has hindered how quickly we can turn results around and the volume of tests that can be done but this weekend we may have turned a corner. The FDA approved a new test for the virus. We did this within hours. After receiving the application from Roche Grosz is Roche molecular solutions a private healthcare from which the FDA says is the first commercially distributed test to receive a emergency authorization. It's a breakthrough because it speeds up the testing what we can now expect these. We're going to provide four hundred thousand tests in the coming days so that will mean that we will make available about one and a half million tests every month. How did Roach pull it off? This footage was shared only with ABC News of their team's working round the clock across the world. The test developed in just seven weeks. A challenge was the timeline. Could we do it in six to seven weeks as we were being asked to do? We did something that usually takes twelve to eighteen months so we had to reinvent how we did things. It's really breathtaking. On with the potential to have a significant impact on covert nineteen testing. The Roche factory went into overdrive the thumbs up from the FDA around midnight on Friday. The test rolled out over the weekend. This New Jersey shipping team loading trucks heading out to over thirty laps around the country and today in Chicago we were able to see some of the first tests run so they're literally dropping in as we speak. You're getting specimens as we speak. We are the results. Five positives out of forty three again. This all goes to helping US track where the existing cases are and where we might have higher pockets of illness in the Chicago area. Like everyone else in this war against an invisible enemy. The stakes couldn't be higher. Some of them have skin in the game. To got BELLSA. Maxis husband is already suffering from heart trouble. "Eater on iheartradio. You are listening to the modern either show on iheartradio, j Parker with little rich Schneider from broccoli tortillas. Greg's out of town. He's in Florida on the show tonight. We're going to get the Carolyn Livingston from the CRA in about fifteen seconds. But also on the show chef moment Gumri from the public Pueblo community college also J P president of the AC app is going to jump in. We're going to talk to Joan Brewster on the phone Austin. We've got John hinman from Henman's bakery with a really important couple seconds, rich. They're they're really important to you. And I both and worked so we're going to give him two segments to talk about Chow Chow. Is you need to know, especially if you're somebody that's in the culinary your world. And so we're going to get to him at seven fifteen to seven thirty then we're gonna finish it out with wine. Everybody loves wine and winery, they brought Kuda report down with some meats, and cheeses and pickles and just heaven. But right now, rich. This young lady right in front of you. Caroline Caroline, Jim guys. Thanks for coming thrill coming here tonight. So I've got just a couple of questions. Tell me about the CRA when did it start? How long has it been in existence? Yeah. We've been around since nineteen thirty three we got into we were organized right after prohibition ended. So that gives you an idea of how that was started. You look so young. Oh my gosh. I wear it. Well. But I mean, we've been around for a long time and for a long time, restaurants and food service has been a driving force Colorado's economy. And so here we are now two thousand eighteen killing it think growth is absolutely astounding astounding one. I would I would venture to say that the work that the has done truly has paved the road for the culinary autobahn that we're on right now. Well, I appreciate that sentiment. That's great. There's a lot of people doing a lot of work in this industry. And we're just having to be a part of it. That's fantastic. So tell me a little bit about the mission statement of the Sierra really sure, you know, the boring mission statement is dedicated to enhancing and promoting the food service industry in Colorado. So what that means is we are here to really, protect and promote restaurants will do anything. We can to get a restaurant out of trouble to help them. Navigate the myriad laws and regulations to run a restaurant because it's really really hard. Profit margins are so so slim whenever we can do to try to help them stay in business and do it properly and stay out of trouble is article. I mean, you help Sierra. Lobby. I know it's hell it's been helpful as an advocate, absolutely the depth of inspections lane. I mean, it's so many different things. It's an amazing group. And it's quite a resurgence in the past couple of years. We we we got new leadership. And so we are thankful for Pete newsmen for so long steering the ship. And now all of a sudden, we have sunny Reeves, she's been our CEO for the past five years, and it's been really an interesting and exciting time to be part of this industry and to really change what we're doing and things, but you're right advocacy is our number one goal. And that's the number one reason why people trying the restaurant association is because we are members are small independent restaurants primarily, and they don't have staff. They don't have this kind of ability to go on this hill and talk to legislators about laws that are gonna hurt their business. So that's what we do. We say, you know, there might be some unintended consequences of this Bill that you're passing through that's going to hurt. Our business is going to hurt them bad. And you might not realize what they're what they're going to be doing. So we do that a lot. Little rich. That's it. I think it overlooked thing. A lot of times for restaurant owners and people in this business because you don't have time to do that. When you own a restaurant, you'll have time to keep up on the politics of what's going to help you what's going to hurt you. And so I think that you know, what Caroline's doing over there at the CRA is invaluable to the small business owners that there's somebody out there looking out for you. And that's just I think that's a great reason to join and be like, listen, I'm gonna I'm gonna put a little bit of this into your hands. Right. Because that's what you do. Just putting is sound and everything in the debut hands who's Dave Abrams. Our tech guy over there because we know we don't have time to do all that, you know, you have to branch out like we also have a program called I call which we ask our members to be cognizant that we are at the first of all that they should make they have any kind of questions that they have licensing question. Health inspection customers HR questions we have lawyers on on. Relationships with lawyers that we can give three advice to members and things like that is just a really great resource for that's mind attendant restaurant. You know, something that I I've heard very common I've been in this business. A long time. I'm a little independent restaurant. I got twelve hundred square feet. Why do I need to join the CRA? That's really for the big guys that have been around a long time, and actually probably nothing could be further from the truth. Absolutely. And so I'm so glad that you came here. And I I gotta tell you I want to keep inviting you back absolutely that people can truly learn the mission in the effectiveness of the Sierra. And how it has truly paved the road for the success that everyone in our industry restaurants, suppliers whatever that they're enjoying today. Thank you. I love that. That's fantastic. Because we are everything that we can do to help a restaurant industry succeed is what we want to do before. We forget, I'm assuming you have a website and people can.

Com slash six twenty, WTMJ we played the parlor game, tonight dress myself, today or get my. Wife. Dress meat. And. People people getting pretty good at figuring that out if I look decent Fran dressed me if I, looked like a slob Idress myself grew you are a. Man of the world an old, school man of the world have you ever. Been to in and out burger you, have never been to in and out burger all right in and out. Burger is a famous burger chain it is particularly big on the west coast if. You've been to, Las Vegas they have a couple of their but in and out burger if you look at surveys typically in and out burger is viewed. As it does really well, I mean if if. You ask about like chain fast food places in and. Out burger is almost always rated extremely highly and, I I like it an upper I'm not sure. I think it's. The best place everybody I like in and. Out burger and when I am in California I always make a point of if I'm if. I'm going to, be stopping at one of those places, I stop. It in and out burger now, I did not know the politics of the people who own in and out burger and I didn't care. About the politics of the, people who. Own in and out burger I care is it, a good burger can you get some, good fries that that's what I care. About plus the people who run in and out? Burger they're not Amin there's no reason for for. Anybody to. Have known about their politics because they're not in. Your face about it it's not like the. Guy who runs the spice shops, around here Bill pansy from Penn, z. spices who is a. Militant lefty who on a, monthly basis sends out these newsletters which essentially says if you are. A conservative, if you are a Republican you are, an evil person and that's if you haven't seen these newsletters that's pretty. Much what, he says so it's not Not like the folks that running out burger are are militant in-your-face whatever's. Like you know some people who who wear their politics on their. Sleeve is a business but the, folks in and out burger are I hope you're sitting down for this they, are they are, conservatives now how do I, know how do I know, that they are conservatives apparently. What happened is the California and it's based. Out of out of California the. California Democrat party Did, a search looking for. Like, campaign donations who who. Conservative, or Republican you're an evil person all. Right I get that but the fact that an owner of a business would make donations that fact in and of itself is that just. For a boycott whether you're Republican or. Democrat now keep in mind we saw a.
