"It's a lot of work because I'm busy out there. A lot of. I did laugh when you said boy was busy out there. I'm busy out there man it's fucking just a busy day. You know it's just and that's a lot of numbers a lot housekeeping at the end of the day but I'll we'll get it done. All right I'll do that. What's committed that we got time we still got a couple of months but next year, we should just log every round in dude fair and do all stats from the entire around and if you're plugging in right after you around, you should go through and do it to decent degree that would be very interesting to compare like photo. You could do how many how many birdies do you make her around and is probably like like zero point eight secs so low, it would be very funny to compare to the PJ torch that. Didn't make a part of the day. Some days I go whole round without making a pot. It's every like a Gimme you just. About good. That was Yes. I played the whole rand and only one went in I watch like I mean I ended up knocking him in after three putting but only one putt from five feet or more. Actually I saw it go in the hole and I was like this fucking game SOx one, one pot actually went through your butting routine and read the ball and in the green and the ball went into the. The problem was out I was getting fourteen strokes or planning with a plus two plus three. So it's like I had the chance almost every hole like I was I was putting for power and bogey four threes five net fours and I just couldn't get it done for my part and I couldn't get the ball in the hole it. It was a day in which the whole look big it was three centimeters wide. So. Again, thank you to everybody. Thank you. All the listeners will be back on Thursday as always hit it hard in are doing. "Have an angle. into the par, we lost him it's going to be a secret forever. It's like listening forever listening father. Ribeiro. Hand is held at an angle. Right? He's really about to get to the most important part of what he's about to say the servite guests. He's The top radio is one of the most impressive golf minds I've ever listened to. All of his buddies have to be ten shots better after the play around them. Right Right in the middle of that demonstrates golf genius. I feel like. Or like if I went right to the ranger goes Dang, I would have to take this information digested and then go out because it's almost so much. I want to try that little flip that little tennis. Very calm manner. The most important, your your hands like this. was like this. I was like well, haven't. Talking for you. But. Basically, you know they they make they make chefs at an angle. There is a legal angle because they it would be too easy if it was straight up and down of was a ninety degree angle. So so they have to give you has to come around. So the bore you get on top of it, the more the club is going to be square through impact. The more that it's at this angle you took a baseball bat you're swinging around your body you're getting over it. You're swinging up, you're swinging down and back up club is going to stay square longer. It's just a it's just it's physics right like. This isn't about what we're trying to do with the swing. It is just physics right so where I think it's going to be interesting even with Bryson. Brice and going to this forty eight degree. Forty eight inch shaft on his driver is it has to go around his body more and he can't take it up and down as much. That's GONNA be interesting to watch because the only way for that driver to actually sit square on the floor is for him to stand up more and not be as bent over. Our wedges shorter because they want you on top of the ball so that you can come down on the ball more. So the ball goes up in the air. Why are your your four iron longer doesn't go as high isn't just because of the grooves and the face angle the club it's because it's longer it's going around your body more and less up and down the more you can get over it to go up and down to cover the ball as they say, you'll come down to the ball. The ball will go higher. The ball will be hit harder stronger and it would actually have more spin rate which will give its stability in the air. Why do you makes sense? For the greatest minds of his generation, you are without a doubt, the podcast guest leader who makes our listeners stand up while they're listening and try to figure things out I, guarantee you. By far. You're the man. Since since, we have such a great mind. I have to ask you this has been used on the PODCASTS. If you've listened to an audio book, are you allowed to then say that you've read.

"What I'm finding is I don't need to hit it over three hundred in terms of trying to hit over three hundred. I'm typically hitting over three hundred when I'm not trying to hit it over three hundred, Tariq Aziz. Because the power is happening at the right time I spent a bunch of time during a full week. I actually went up Steve Young the football player for the forty. Niners is my daughter's Godfather, and so we went and actually spent a week with him working on his golf swing. We made humongous changes and leaps and bounds his game totally transformed and one of the things that we're working on right is mentally not trying to hit it. So hard when you try to hit it, your power is in the wrong spot Phil Mickelson said to to to Steve. Steve Actually golfed right handed and left. He goes. That's perfect. He goes you just utilizing your power in the wrong spot and that was one of the things I was trying to teach him and I blew his mind when I showed him in here's the trick right and let's say you had a golf club and use my phone right and you have it like this right and so this is the head and this is the handle, and if you take the club and you just drop it right and then let go and as it's dropping, pull up the handle. What you'll notice is the club head will go extra fast. because. It is it is the opposite of down make sense moon it and pull it up it create more speed and most people are thinking like a baseball player around your body right? It's not around your body. It's down and up utilize the down as you pull down you creating the speed, and if you can get it to come back up before impact, you create that at the bottom that creates that extra speed. So we worked on that. He got a lot of his distance he was square because he was not thinking around his body. So the club Basement Square. Now. Is that I don't work on anything. Of course, things probably saying for everybody are thing that we're working on is trying to break our record before like in terms of our low score, but we are not working on anything. Whatever you just said. It makes sense. Oh, it's like that pendulum. You always talk about like it's like a pendulum of spe-. Why are we trying to create it with throwing our arms added or like it should we should let the club do the work man a wet admission and that's what I did. I literally showed him a Club I. Let the club start to drop an as I let the club drop I raised the handle and the club whipped through the bottom and he goes Wollo Do that again. And again with through the autumn and he's went almo time any and after he goes dude. You just change the way I think about the swing. It's a completely different concept because he's thinking about rotating hands and how quickly and you know it's like a football player. When you throw the ball, you're you're got that whip at the end and he understands the whip. He just didn't understand where it's coming from. He's thinking that his hands needed to do it by turning it over, and that's where the speed is. We're a speed comes from the ground. You See Justin Thomas Right and you see a Bubba Watson. There off the grounded impact. Right their feet have left the ground..

"So this the elections only two months later I didn't know really anybody knows like rigs zero political guys we're this is GonNa be the biggest production we've ever done. We had like big cat PM t redoing all their different like bits, their buffet of bits over there. Yup. Doing like they were doing the intangibles or like, Hey, guys, they were the Canadian Canada boys than all the severe thrown into them a you're gonNA kinda anchor this coverage like all right. We'll see we threw it to the weather to the map girl at one point who was not the Marinole Lash yes. He she didn't know where Florida was or or Texas. All right like like they're like, all right Florida's going to trump or whatever it was, and then she's like, okay, she put it on just like Oklahoma I. GotTa Know Florida you know just gotTa know she's like I. Know It's somewhere over here like that's just so wrong. So another night where like we had this huge production in according to all polls in the odds, it was again Hillary Clinton's GonNa Pretty much win convincingly and it'll be and then it was a couple of hours of the night it was like, oh no this is going to be the most monumental night in the history of American politics right here we are. You know drinking rum and coke something. To Act again that we've all got to this point and. Like Frankie said to our own horns actually obviously, we wouldn't none of this would exist if we didn't have listeners and watch like we fact that people have tuned in from week, one continued to share the show with their buddies with their friends with their families tuned in week after week after week for two hundred, ninety, nine shows. Now, three hundred shows back that we show up the Gulf or clubs people. Under the nobis yard to us is the craziest most bizarre and and cool thing that's ever existed at again. None of this none of it exists if we start this gas and we get four eight, twelve episodes in people just aren't listening A. canceled. No no we don't have the budget. We don't have the ability the resources to go try to videos to go out and stay all week at beach or at bethpage black or we're able to be on site and trying to get content with players like not. We wouldn't be able to do any of that. We didn't have listeners. Because we'll be able to pay the bill. So the fact that you guys all listen support us by the merge that we put on sale, you jump into the youtube chat even if it's roast us when we go live with a video that you joined the Barstool go society and you're trying to break eighty seventy or your. Danger at Frankie's major championships, whatever it is like you guys are the reason we're able to do it. So obviously a big thanks to all listeners from day one but I was a little trip down relate right there and it's I can't even imagine how many dozens of huge incidents that in events that we didn't even remember right there. The Goddess Story Arts Thirty is pretty. Pretty wise man it's also like Barstool just puts like Erica and Dave just put like confidence in you and just let you do something. It's crazy to me that they've allowed to get to this point of just being a.

"That this season is that what you're doing all that smart M. so I've actually really loved that because you know one of the things that we always hated about the show, I shouldn't say dislike was the fact that sometimes the best answer would go home early right? Because America wasn't necessarily picking the right way. The best dancer typically stays unless the judges just for some weird reason decide they wanna keep someone who isn't as good. So Carol Baskin necessarily didn't get the least amount of votes in. She she was in the bottom. Two that's what I'm saying. Right. So she didn't didn't necessarily wasn't in the bottom bottom, and so the judges gave her the boot on that one. Interesting. She was in the bottom. I'm not saying based on quality, but there's been a lot. Girl was. My girl had problems Watkins not. She was in the bottom. Arguing that she writes in. DC having to go home right there. So. Let's talk about this. Dairy Queen. D Q dance challenge you've up w what's it about? Well right now obviously nonprofits. It's so hard for for nonprofits to get anything going on right now. So D Q has teamed up with children's Miracle Network hospitals and myself I've teamed up with them to create the dance challenge. Everyone can do the dip into d q dipping curl you know after the soft cone the. Favorite right and so I'm you know we created a little a little dance and we want everybody to go check it out share the video, and for every share de Q. is going to donate a dollar to the children's Miracle Network hospitals though it's a wonderful little charitable events that we can do and everybody goes on and does it even if you don't WanNa actually. You go to dance challenge and donate to the charity. So it was something that I thought would be fun. It'd be cool it's you know my love Dan. So you know you know how you do it come to you and they want you to dance I see you in the family doing your your family dances every week on your social daughter man she's turned into a Little Paula Abdul O'hare Dragging us in right there. So funny she kisses on. Twenty You and your wife know what you do. So you know it it, it helps to read them that way. Yeah exactly. Thanks man I listen before I let you go home and put you on the spot questions clicking. Okay. All right favorite show you binge during quarantine. Away. which ones on one. With Hillary's Hilary Swank. The net flicks. That's right. Okay. Let's do it. Okay. Good. Yeah. That's a good one. Good one. Must Follow for you on. Social Media. Must Follow what account and makes you live or which county do you know what the daily show? Trevor no or is hysterical on the daily show I follow them I I follow him. That's a must follow. Okay. Go to Halloween.

"I think. One of the things that people didn't realize was how much fun we had onset actually doing it and we change the way people were doing. Sitcom. tapings right like normally it was just a standard of comic like you remember when you did bell you know you had a stand up comic and that was it right and we had a DJ. So it was it was a it was a house. Party. Every Friday night and and everybody would come. We'd have celebrities standing off to the side watching tapings You know we redid our episodes faster than anybody ever. Did you know a full taping of an episode? We would start at seven o'clock and be done by eight thirty is that rare because everybody? Will be on point we will roll through it. would be right right. So we would fly through it. We used to hear like friends and Seinfeld and those guys ABC at four o'clock in the morning. I don't like what are they doing with Iceland like what is going on I shooting gone with the wind over there with going to how how did this bs? So. Weird right here. Say Your lines. Deliver and keep it moving wrong. So we would we would be out in an hour and a half on average. So they were they were times I remember we did we did one episode in just over forty five minutes long. And we did every seen twice and just moved. There wasn't a lot of wardrobe changes in the episode. So it was one of those like it. All took place in one day. So we didn't have to. It was literally go to that set shoot it twice go to the next set, shoot it twice and just keep moving through the episode we flew Party we had a great time. So we're going to give people a little bit of that a little taste of of what it was like We have a wonderful tribute to James Avery. and. So you know it was great. You see if you see me looking off, is because all of a sudden I'm seeing a spider. Coming from a tree I am under, it is just coming down slowly trying to figure out how to get closer to Wadham. Away. He starts getting too crazy right there he. To. Take. Did you shoot all the shows. On the NBC lot. There's a whole run there no, no no we started. We started at Ktla than we were at sunset gower and then we went to you did bouncer. Okay. That's what I ask Cleveland. Sunset Guarantee. Okay. Got It. Then ended up there. That's when you guys were right across the ballpoint. We were at one point we were right across that was, is that towards the end of? The. Guy Yeah you guys and then the new class came in. Yeah and so you guys a rotating the stages with nuclear. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Dang it's crazy man. You keep dancing at all you're watching. Watch it Yeah I've been watching I. Think it's interesting season so far one of the things that I, love that they're doing this year was something that I actually told him to do because I was actually going back and forth I would go over to the UK and I would judge for Bruno on strictly come dancing, which is a UK version of the show and they do it where they decide the bottom two and then the judges picked they wanNA keep and they're now doing..

"So you drove all the way out there dude I've done since the beginning since June, we left at our initial trip on June seventh and. I've done fourteen over fourteen thousand miles. WHOA. That's serious. Gas Right there you? No, that's expensive. Bro. Yeah Yeah. That's why you drive to the middle of the country because the gas prices are like learn read. That's true. Well, you got connection Arkansas than most people we talked to in La Right here. That's crazy man well good for you but that's great memories right there. Let's talk about Av. Returning I. Imagine the pandemic. Has Sort of you may have gotten like an abundance of videos, right? Because everyone's cooped up. It's been since since this this pandemic, we've gotten more videos than they've ever gotten. In the entire history of the show, we've got almost almost five times the amount of. month. Ivette. Because everybody's sitting at home with their cameras with nothing to do right everybody's doing things and then as soon as something goes wrong, they're like. Videos we've gotten a lot of great submissions. were, we've already started filming. So we've done eight episodes already the the the thing that we're doing is the same technology of the NBA is using to have an audience. So since there's no audience that can be there right resuming them and we've got all these monitors now set up, and so people are experiencing coming to a taping they're just doing it from the luxury of their own home So the energy is still the same vibe is still the same. It makes it a lot more fun and easier for me to do because we did at the end at the end of last season, we shot the final two episodes without an audience. And as much as the you know the P. as in the crew were giving me a little love. Yeah. Differences. This is a nice way of doing it and the and the and the videos have actually been better than they've ever been so we'll see what happens but we premiere October Eighteenth on ABC Nice Nice well congrats on that and I can't believe. Fresh Prince biller thirty years old. flew by like that, what what do you remember about the very first episode? I remember being happy had a job The you know I remember showing up I remember going through the process of getting the show getting the job I don't remember very much about the first actual episode but I remember that first season being where you know I was the one person on the show that had TV. Experience. Right. So everybody kept coming to me with whatever questions they can think of right. So that's what. I was angry the Saturn. The. Tender age of eighteen I was like, Hey, come to me I. got you. So that happened a lot because it was like you know explaining to them what the process was from there and you know letting them know look we did the presentation of who did a presentation not a pilot that we would then have the wait for the network to decide, and then once they pick it up, we'd come back in July and start working and and you know luckily for for all of us it all came true and it worked out and the rest is history at six amazing years. You recently did a reunion special right for HBO. Max. What what can you tell us about with that yet? Well, I mean it's Kinda just us talking about the old filming days right?.

"America's funniest home videos man fun. So Roberto Welcome back man, how are you? I'm good brother. Good to see. You man good to see house fan everybody's great. Everybody's Great. Yeah. We we have a we have turned the corona into the best family opportunities ever like we my wife came to me, and after you know because you know Mark Paul, did it also Mark Paul and I both decided to buy these RV's yeah. This way we were able to go out and enjoy with the family and take the kids everywhere and let them experience actually seeing things versus looking at things in books. And so we're you know every time I get a break. Though the family in it and we go and then you go GALVEZ talking more about that and I said, oh you're crazy. First of all, I would have so much anxiety driving in that thing bird. You're driving right don't know what you need. Don't you need a special license to drive like? Yeah. So you get a class not commercial class be a license. Yeah. So yeah, we both have mark while and I both went out and we we went and grabbed our license got our licensed. Got It. All taken care of these things and we out on the road and you're cool. You're not. You're not like tripping on it at all. In the League turns and stuff once you once you learn the dynamics of how you're supposed to drive it. Yeah. It actually become quite easy you learn that the pivot point is the rear axle right everything in front of the rear axle when you turn right goes right Thing beyond the rear axle goes left So as long as you wait until your rear axle is at the curb, right whenever you're making a turn, then you're clear there's nothing else that can hit the actual curb everything else goes the other way. So it's not like the rear of the vehicle way out into the Intersex and you just know as you starting to make the turn, you gotta wait for the Rear Axles. They'll pay. Involve what about parking? That bad way? Well, now parking is something. Imagine you're limited. It lives in. Parallel parking. Yeah no, that's not something you do you. Can you just try not? You know whenever my wife is like, Hey, i. need to whole foods I'm like, okay you know this could be something special, right? Lynn you can't get out right and especially like I to- my one of my vehicles saw Dang. Also we we sixty feet long plus so you know when you pull into and you can't back up. So you have to make sure that wherever you go, you can pull in and not have to after back up because if not, you gotta literally unhooked the Rear Vehicle and then figure it out from there. So you know you got to be mindful you gotTA think ahead. Yeah. You just seems like too much work. Yeah. I'm stressed out stressed out listening. Good for you where are you right now? We're in Arkansas we're. In. Ozark WHOA..

"Eighteenth seven. PM Eastern on. ABC. But we are excited to get tim critising hold on a second because I got to move everyone out of the way to talk to this guy because I got a ton of questions. For him I guess I'll start here funds. Oh, and thank you has anyone ever tried to physically harm you because they think you're Carlton. Yes absolutely. Situation many many many moons ago where dude walk does he go problem and then punched me. Base. And I ended up whooping his but and then I was like an stop myself before actually really heard and and I was like, why did you hit me? He's like I got so excited I didn't know what else to do. And I just walked away. Okay. I. I can't imagine how embarrassing it is though to hit Carlton because you think he's Carlton and then get your ass whooped by Carlton. Reality is that is that Carlton is a State Person He's not real but trump. So who grew up in the Bronx. Very Real. So. How how how annoying is it to you? Because you've created a dance that Mike Ryan has claimed will live forever forever. How annoying is it to you? The number of people a day who come up and try and do some form of that dance in front of you. You. Know Years Ago I. would say that that was absolutely annoying to me but now I take it as a compliment where I recognize that I was lucky enough to do something to bring pleasure to people's lives and all they're doing is showing me ultimately the pleasure that I bought them. So I take it as a compliment now but when I was much younger, I didn't quite see it that way I was like you're really annoying. Why are you coming up to be dancing in front of me? Well, what change unchanged age wisdom experience mortality what change? I think all of it I. Think you other than Mortality Everything Kinda changed in it was you know? at the end of the day age with understanding getting out of my own head, and it's not just about me but trying to understand other people better gave me the ability to kind of see it through. There is I had friends that like you know. showed me kind of a different way of looking at it and and I came to to actually appreciate what they're actually saying because I was able to see if there is but even with them gave me that Alfonso. Did you think at the time when you're in it? Did you think or no or say to yourself? Hey, I am making this character is going to live forever. This is going to be an iconic character. Did you know while you were in it? Oh. Not at all not at all when you know when you're when you're creating and you're you're doing stuff where you're acting and you're being a character and you're you're you're so entrenched in your own, you know creativity that you're not living on the outside you're just in your own head trying to be creative every week So you don't have any perspective. You don't have any way of seeing the impact that what you're doing might be having on other people because you're just focused on the next week right so a show is done you've got a new script the next week you gotta try to make that just as great so. You're so focused on that. There's no way to kind of see the impact that you're doing. If you're truly, you know if you're in the trenches, there's no way. You see you know the the horizon it is funny to consider fresh prince the trenches season thirty one out of America's funniest home videos premiered Sunday October eighteenth seven PM Eastern on ABC Alfonso Ribeiro. I don't know where you guys know him from because it could be now to a new generation the Chris Paul Commercials for state farm or it could be America's funniest home videos for us. It's fresh prince which only lasted how many seasons because I'm stunned only did six season. SEASON, Razi but in syndication. It's been on for for twenty eight seasons So twenty eight years later, it's still playing So for a large generation, even though we were off the air, we were getting of the ratings we were still getting people were watching this indication. Why does it resonate that way? You know I think that a couple of different things i. think we we told incredible stories story that still today are stories that need to be told and but we did it in a way that everybody could appreciate it and be healed. Let like their lecture too because we did it. You know where the an episode, where will will I get pulled over by the cops right? It wasn't a lecture. This is just what happened and it was the reactions and the comedy that we laid into the story of how police just pullover black people because they're black, you know so people could. Understand the story but not feel like they're being you know lecture to. What's what position they should take it allowed the audience to take whatever position they felt was right. Carl Everett also. Afonso. Union. Union the CAST members with Will Smith and everybody on I had a reunion. Recently. And we were all surprised that Jennie. Hubert actually showed up and had a conversation with will could you describe the relationship with Janet will and what exactly lit Janet being led off happening of the show that is Roy's baby than maybe that's Princess Claire Ours just well, I'm I'm you know I'm not going down the road of of of spilt milk in the past obviously she and will found a way to get together and discuss it and We'll see obviously I wasn't there when that occurred when she came on I only did one of the days of the reunion because I had. To, do my day job, America's funniest home video and so I you know I don't know very much about what was said in how sad and but happy for both of them to have found piece in their relationship. You really ended up in a place here where you gave us just sports talk cliche stuff there instead of telling us about the dirty secrets about how nobody likes to give like you. You really you you've been around locker rooms enough to know affonso. You just gave us coachspeak there when we wanted some of the juicy details, you're like I'm not going to get into the. By what was that? You took that Super Seriously Get lifted you you you. My life today is so positive and so lucky to be living my dreams that the idea of going into negative space anymore. Is it worth it. So I remain positive I remain Very happy. I've got great family I've got a wonderful show America's funniest home videos. It's doing fantastic on ABC You know I have I've state farm ads on doing a great thing for Mars Wrigley called Tree town which a nap that coming out that's out right now that kids can basically safely trick or treat this Halloween you know I'm I'm I'm loving what I'm doing. So you know the gutter is not a place for me anymore. team Oh Perez. Affonso what you're saying is great I. Love Your resume I love the shows but I see one big hole in your resume, and this is moving forward and something that I think you need to do. You've done dancing with the stars I think you need to do the mass singer. I'll tell you the lot of people through the last couple of years. I've thought that I've been on it and I'm always like the problem with the mass singer for me. Is the fact that you get nothing out of it until you lose? Because you don't get to actually show people what you're doing. They just kinda see this crazy little math Bersin. and. Then when you lose your the looser of the week and your name is out there versus winning every week by doing something, I did a show years ago Simon cal call celebrity duet but I ended up winning that makes sense to me because every week people do me doing my performance and you get something out of it, I don't understand what people get out of the Matt Singer Professionally, the love of the audience is great but professionally I don't understand what you out of it. You only get your name in the breast when you lose. But if you win, you get the Golden Mass. He's such a competitor man if only all had this kind of heart and one dancing with the stars, he wasn't on dancing with the stars to finish third one dancing. Are you do at show? All right. I'M GONNA kick everyone to. Kick that one guy's asked was so excited to see me as he punched me in the face. Know Look I. Am I am an incredibly You know competitive person and for me like losing isn't an option for me like I signed with work. It's so good. It's so good because you are the character in the Chris Paul Commercials accepting. Only. Show you kid what I got except the only insurance you're going to need a bust..

I mean he hurls Frankie's brain for sure frank is gonNA rip w right now for a trip like it's just like you said it's still me for a loop you have this like Perception one of a guy where it's like he's this laughable go whatever you can just like Joe Corral with them and then all of a sudden he nails you over the head with analytics and perfect way to swing in an targets and all these things that like your brain goes through synapses and all these things on what is happening yeah. It was such a joy to mental mental. Yeah it's a good knows the way he learns where he works with people and then his ability to get on the same page as everybody else. The way they learn is incredible and I think that probably just speaks to all the people that he's worked with over the years in one faster another clue into how you do things great. This is an option. It was impressive of you think any of us are gonNA actually get better because of anything he said. Well I think twenty shot Joe Alerts Lurch. How to think like lurched lurched had no idea like how do I even learned that was? That was his big thing. Where like how do you learn? I think lurch maybe had it backwards. His point about the practice putting strokes with you. I thought was incredible because it is it is very people. Use the analogy of throwing a baseball about potting and touching golf the differences. When you're throwing a baseball at somebody you're not looking at the ground? Yes you're looking at them and you throw the ball to them. When you hit a shot in golf you look at the target? You look at the whole but then you look down at the ground right before you hit your shot this you lose that whole perspective in that whole view and like tiger always says like Putt to the picture. Like Frankie talked about that one time because you can't picture at the ground or else with fuck you putting too. So why would you then take like. Why would you stop taking practice? Strokes or only. Take them when you're looking at the target because that's not what you're doing when you actually hit the shot at that was like such a perceptive point from him of like no. Keep taking those strokes when you're looking at the ground because that's how you're actually going to hit. The PUTT is looking at the ground. Yeah I mean I'm all about things that make sense. You know just like from a very high level like does this make sense and his thoughts on that just makes perfect sense. You know in terms of my process how is going about things before. Didn't make sense like in my head. So many hiccups in there. Yeah just didn't have a plan with one but when he said that I was again. I just can't wait to try this. I know that's the reason for hope leaving that conversation which is any good. That's that's all we're looking for in golf. Is Hope if you speak with coding. Hope exactly and then you have some success and then you can build off that but with any conversation with someone here just looking for a little glimmer of hope. Then he told me that is really watering giddy smile. You know it was a really good energy that like he just delivered in such a way where it's like. I trust that guy with anything I I believe anything he said but I think what he said was correct. Yeah you could've told right. With like the way he delivers it and the and the positive he brings it. He could've told US anything about golf. And we'd be like man that's a Oh really good swinging ready for thirty years. Why don't you try left? Feel like don standing. I'll do it right now on the other side. Okay how is anyone talking talking alerts with that neck thing he got going on with the Hell's going on with the collar man got the bacon neck. You know how we wash clothes over at our place. Man thinks so alert learn. What are we gonNA get me? One it comes with your par- Lurch has a Bernie DOT COM. If you have to wait ten hours laundry. I'll give you the CACAK. Six Lurch has a pink Shinnecock Salmon. Salmon I mean Jake was like tank that guy smokes weed. He knows what he's like. Different colored salmon during a salmon fucking quarter tip and he put it in the wash and I guess I guess a lot of listeners here. No the the thing that he went through. Where when you put quarters through the wash and the type of quarters a bit is it's got like that really big ZIP? It's got a couple of buttons on it by the neck and he put that thing to the washing machine and it just came out like a piece of bacon it just ruined the whole thing like chickens. Everything is everything is tied up and ruined. And it's it's curved and it looks like a zipper looks like a river now has decided to wear it out today. It's a great college. I mean you to those every day I appreciate. That was very condescending right. It was shocking that something looks good and by the way the logic of me asking. Do you still have that same dryer is that maybe you should make a call and be like fix our fucking dryer because it takes five hours dry a fucking not broken threat and there's just a very rare technology where you have a Washer and Dryer at one unit and it turns out which we didn't know until after we enter the apartment that it takes five hours and fifteen minutes to do the dryer for those that don't know who I think we talked about this a couple maybe a year ago. At this point these guys just have a drier. That takes five hours to dry a piece of clothing. I protect now that I just shot in my brain. Okay when I go out and check apartments out. I always turn the shower on. See what kind of pressure. I'm dealing with an apartment if you see a singular unit like this hit the power and see what kind of timetable. You're working off of. I just can't evaluate so it's not broken or is worth for two mortar pressure. Always how about my girlfriend's Dad. I guess there's a new law was that what was F.A.S.T. We'll just wait. He's he's yanked that thing out of the water governors. Yeah that's no good and he's yanked out of the of the of the head now you're talking to get arrested. You can get arrested arrested for that. All the time island walks they just walked a typically play golf with. WHO's the crew of guys back at home? You know just at my golf club. There are a lot of great guys. They're the celebrities would be timberlake. Kunal Nayyar from Big Bang theory grant stories on them. I mean we. We've just play in similar golfer right. Yeah Yeah he's definitely I mean he's one of those guys in the last few years has gotten really good to the point where I'm now using his coach because I'm like his swing. Coach is a guy but drew steckel. who works with Cavenaugh Jason Coke Rag Pat Perez Chessen Hadley William mcgirt like his like a bunch of bunch of guys on tour and he's out of Vegas and so I'll go to the biggest and work with them for a day or two and fly back on and he's amazing and he was up so basically I called him up and said Hey who do you got at. "There. Spinning ask his brain is a mess. So we'll talk about. I T jitters mental. When we went to Palmetto with Kevin Kisner we played as his? That's my buddies I t.. Have have you ever played Palmetto. No I t is just a regular tee shot. There's just grass ahead of you and there's a little pond that's maybe is it upon for a house. That's that's like on the golf. Yeah maybe forty yards in front of the T. and it's completely not in play for not fifty yards right and I was just thinking Kevin Kinder's watching me hit my first golf shot of the day right now. Pros are watching me. Scott Brown's watch all these pros are up here and I just I duck hooked a ball off the tee box into the water. Because that's the only thing I really saw that little pond over there. I hit into their when right into it. Like it's an impossible shot. Only watering resonate. With me where it's like. I actually saw that when I there. Kevin Kisner said he didn't even know what it was there on the golf course he belongs alongside the damn thing. Well that's the point right. That is exactly right. What you see you will manifest into your reality where you are afraid to do do is what you will do right? And it's like it's a it's a great exercise for golf right like just spend a day go out on the course and literally literally go. I'm not gonNA see anything but my target all day right. I'm a look at that target. And that's what I'm GonNa do you play the best round of your life. I can't wait to do this. That's that's what I did Erin hills when I played so well hills. WHO's just keep my head down? I thought that all day long and I would. That's a positive right. Yeah if you but if you would have said don't look up right you would've looked stars art when it really does work at one hundred but it's like but literally every time before you take the club back if you say so like after I hurt myself right on Sunday Sunday. Yeah right the first thing I right when I stood over the ball. I'm like no pain is going to hurt. When I got my left side of my left leg started to really hurt but but I was like no pain now for me that no pain was get left right so I would say to myself? No pain get left. Yeah and I got left in making good swings even though it hurt right. Yeah but I put myself into that into that place where it's like. I know that this this is GonNa hurt but I gotta make swing. Hit this ball in the ocean right and you know so I was able to focus into that right and happen in every sling but it. But that's the kind of things that you have to do. I think especially when you start talking with a lot of these gurus especially mental gurus. That's the that's the really the common denominator dominator with all of them. It's like you've gotta come up with a routine and focus on the positive neverthe- negative who the hell knew. Alfonso Ribeiro is going to be my mental coach. uh-huh years try. I'M GONNA try this every single time ago. Just just you know. There's obviously if you if you cut got the ball you draw the ball. Whatever it might be you want to pick a target? That is the right target for you right but pick the target focus only on the target. See that target right before you take back. Look at the target back at the ball. Take the club away. You have the best radio. Where'd you get this confident playing golf? You start when you're eighteen right. You started when you were six years old seven years old where a lot of these kids grow up with the game. It's it's because I'm mental right and in a good way and a bad way right like I'm so analytical and in my head about thought and how to in creating positive you know synapses in your brain gene and being super analytical with the swing. I'm that dude so I had to come up with and really through the years of like lucky. The enough that some of these great coaches and great players. I've had the opportunity to play with and I picked their brains right. Like I'm like dude. Anything thing just throw at my way. I'll take it right. I want that information now. The problem with that is is that I'm taking everything right so I can also spend in myself into complete total confusion right and because I'm taking all of that information in like I can't watch bad players. I'm also visual so I watch you make bad swing. It's very likely that I might make that same bad swings. Never showed the nightmare nightmare around with us videos from this house. Ever I can have a great time his claws. You have a blessed but I played with Charles Barkley was I was like Oh. This is a problem that out. I literally I'd turned away every every time. He's I'd love to see rigs back soon. You may start puke thrown up. Just throw a murderer. We all got problems. Don't get problems. The justice interested in putting. I struggled tremendously on the Green Bay. I didn't believable. That you were five dollar Kitty dollar worth. What else did he share with you on the green in terms of this guru besides looking at the burn? Well I mean you know. Seeing the burn is the core to like not lifting your head right. So that's just one technique right Alternately it's a Lotta guys what they WanNa do is is is just understanding how your brain works right so you are you a visual or you feel. Are you a guy who needs to know the number to the flag or or do you eyeball it. If that's the type of guy you are where you're like eyeball your field guide right so now you want to know the feel for the Greens and you want to do this. You pretend you're tossing a ball right now because let's rain right so we'll that might not be the way your brain feeling. I feel feel God's marijuana robot is a robot evidence which you might be a numbers Guy Miss Program right like you might be a guy who literally he goes. This is a fifteen foot. Putt a fifteen foot. PUTT goes like this. Yup a seventeen foot. Putt go mike this right. If you're feel guy are you want to go right. I WanNa feel how hard I would need to throw this ball to get it to stop there right if you're if you're an athletic dude right you're you don't think hey throw that ball to this guy. He's twelve feet away from me and I put my arm here go like that right like no not at all. Yeah all right. So he couldn't tell the difference between at twenty five fifty five. That's been my whole life. I see a guy throw the ball at them and so then this past weekend. I'm doing that. Were just literally looking at the whole and get my hands going about the pace that I need to roll it up there. Okay and then I'd look down at the ball and hit it and man as soon as I did the heping what either either. Shoot ten feet by every ten feature right so one last extra piece on what I think you missed. You sat there and went okay. That's the feel uh-huh and then you stopped and look down. No that's the feel style. Don't stop up the visual feel different than the actual. I love this right so like if you're doing this and you you like that's the field right now. What does that look like? How far back do I need to take it that it mimics that feeling right? I feel like Oh got to ten thousand dollars margins unless you're like Dang it he's GonNa take money from us in the same way like sometimes I feel like my practice swings or better than my regular swing and step up practicing look great and then I'll swing and it'll be like what the hell was that because you're trying to hit the ball right right so if you're trying to hit the ball that's different than a practice practice swing is. You're just feeling something right right. You're feeling it in your body now. You just have to be able to take that. That's why people talk about all the time. Can you take that range to the golf course. Well the difference between the range and the golf course is their targets orbits and so are you targeting. It's understanding how you think right like it's everything that I do in my life is about understanding how you think when when I did dancing with the stars I had to teach my partner Whitney Carson how to teach me because I understood how I think like this is how I learn if you learn how I learned and it's going to be easy to teach me but if you keep trying to get me to do it the way you learn it may never ever go in right with lines when people will say hey instead of that line say this right and I go no shot. I'll never say it'll edible never exit my mouth until I write it down and I see it written and then I can say it. I can't say it from hearing. I have to see it so understanding how you learned becomes a huge part of your process for success. That's right everything you do. You can understand how you take it in then you eliminate all that extra time that you spend trying to learn it your know how you learn it I look at it got it done. What happens if you don't learn which does not allow there's yeah basically on that point is like well I got nothing for you? It's so true though. There's certain ways like even with me I I play the drums and my whole life and I can listen to a song. I can read the music but I always at needed my drum teacher instructor to physically play it in front of me and then I was able to do it. No problem right so you want to learn the crossovers everything. Even though I was able to read the music and here it is. He's not you can hear what I'm doing it's like no I need to watch you. Do the crossover. What hand are you using all that stuff absolutely? It should be the same with golf. It's just something about Golf Michigan Ready. You've already acknowledged that. That's what you do a visual because you saw the water and you hit. They're right right right right so it is recall back right like your brain is visual things and your body. He then knows how to do it. So if you if you literally played with a Pro Golfer you'd probably play also pretty damn good because you would see this good swing you would see the good tempo and you would start to mimic it. Because that's the way your brain thinners right so understanding. That is the first key to getting to that next level for me understanding how I think is what has made me basically pretty good at most things that I try to do in my life. We've because I can get it quicker than the next guy because I know how I learn down so you will clearly must have taken the same sort of analytical approach to work to absolutely work. Yes and Ben kind of that intense about because I imagine there's there's some we work with. Who are the complete opposite? They'll show up in more wing it or whatever you wouldn't call it was that meshing with people was it ever. Is it ever tricky to kind of figure out the differences in style. Or How's that work as an actor no right because everybody has has their own process..
Alfonso Ribeiro twists our brains on golf
"All right folks are joined by a very special guest. Alfonso Ribeiro Big Time Golf Guy so you just walked into Barcelo. Hq I Kind of impressions walking into Barstool checking on her office. All new. I mean the last time to Barstool it was like a it was literally did not look like this. How about we go there? We just going to be pleasant. It was It was an office been was like just not really new new. Feels like a little bit of a facade like this nice and like state of the art and it's not really us just put snow it it did you listen. Everybody needs to go to work and feel like they're going to a nice place. Okay you know what I mean you can talk about whatever you want. It's gotta you'll nice going to work today. What he's saying is the last place was a dump and couldn't believe that he was brought there and that that he likes plays a lot more? I'M GONNA go with the last part of that. Okay because speaking to work got a couple of things going on a couple of things on funniest video absolutely how you know so like the greatest Family show in American television history. Right like its thirtieth season iconic for the Shell my fifth season as the host. And like what's better than watching people do really dumb stuff stuff hurt themselves but what Asta laugh at them by sending us the video so you get the approval of them to laugh at them and and we get to laugh over and over and over again. And I get to go to work and I actually one of the things that I'll do is so I typically have to do the voice overs for all the videos at that net. Need my voice over. Okay okay but I won't watch any of the ones that I don't have to do voice over on so that when I'm actually at the taping and I enjoy them for the first time you're right at the tapings aping and I'm like this way. It's like it feels less like work right. You go to go and it was like wow didn't see that one and can laugh and have a great time so I actually enjoy the taping and as much as the audience gets to do you ever slip up like Oh shit. It's just a good at that because kids so I've learned how not to allow that slip to come out. I always say I know my audience and when I'm when I'm there I'm pretty good at making sure that because we have some kids in the audience. I've become America's Dad. There have to be very responsible. It's amazing my gallstone hasn't made it onto that show yet. It just put it out with. Just keep sending US videos. We'll get it on you get one with a wedge in its everyone's laugh back actually on on Sunday eh the. At and T. I actually wanted to see whether someone got one of my swings on video. 'cause it absolutely would make it onto my show where where it was on. The fourteenth holds a par-five long par five and I'm trying to like possibly see whether I can get there in two so I'm really really digging into one and my right foot completely slips out onto downswing I'm talking airborne it's completely gone right and I still hit the ball but I was on one leg almost down on the ground and I actually hit the ball. So the two the pros and the group because my pro was Kevin Na right and the other the pro is j b Holmes and both of them were like in they were shell shocked because they were like okay. Are you all right. And I'm like and I'm walking gingerly because I'm like I don't know if I'm alright yet Then they go. How did you make contact right like? How did you literally literally you were falling down and you still hit the ball on an ethnic? I like that things eh but it really was. I said to everybody the gallery. WHO's watching anybody? Get that on tape tape. So you're good player. You're scratch. Is that right well. They had me as a three okay. So so you've played golf in some in some big circles right so you're Alphonso Ribeiro your but at the at and T. Pablo pro-am pro-am it's it's TV it's legitimate PJ toward crowds. What's kind of your nerve level on the first tee? You're on the seventeen. Maybe more conic shot. What's your nerve you know? There's probably only one shot at Pebble Beach that I am fearful of It's the second shot on eight right light. That is the only shot where you're like. Okay I don't have this. This is GonNa talk to me about it and we follow him about it and play the whole Goddamn golf course. You know it's a train wreck where we can't bring one hundred none of us for playing in a couple of weeks for the US Open. He's trying little fairy on a in Richmond right flying on a on the fly right behind the flag as for Mr Berry missed. The net. Green is great work. It was great because and I was on my way to triple digits so of course I'm walk through seven holes. Okay you knew where this round was. Nobody's lying along the best part of that is your only through seven holes right this aide whole and you haven't even gotten to the teeth of the golf course you know. That's the easy part of the grass. You get one two three four or five. You're like Ooh and you're doing like if I par in I can shoot ninety uh-huh and you're not going to say the only confident walk. I had all day was walking up to the Green on eight. I had my shoulders up is in my head was held high and I felt good but the rest of the day absolutely you know we had a twenty five mile. An hour rose wind no going from left to right right into the water. Yeah not good. So it's one of those shots where you're like. Okay where am I aiming. That's far let's into I can play it from the left rough. Can't play that from the Pacific. No right you know I was I was left. What's what's the dichotomy like with if the pros and you've got you know the guys played different? teases it awkward at all. No it's it's I'll say this like they're I'm sure there are groups and I've heard many stories the of playing in groups where because it's too amateurs into prose where guys really are not enjoying playing with those amateurs and there are guys on tour who alike I am not playing the. At and T.. I can't stand it like it's just playing with the amateurs but like this group that we had this year which was my self with with Kevin A- and then it was Michael Pena with a guy named Martin trainer. Right and Michael the opinion I are pretty much the same for even though he was getting seven shots. I was getting three but we when we play at home. We are about the same so when you play with guys. We're actually indecent golfers right. Then it's not bad because he's not like all right. Let's go look for his ball. Not that right. The flow of the game feels like it's just a normal for some going out to play and it's not so bad for them. Because I even sent cavanaugh a text message yesterday kind Hannah saying you know a dude. Thanks for an amazing week. We made the cut. We finished nineteenth right like out of one hundred and fifty six teams. That was awesome. He was in there grinding. Like trying to get the team to to to make the cut and you know it was just a really really enjoyable week and he was like dude. Thank you for being the way you were because you knew when to talk and make it light but you also knew when to leave me alone right. Let me have of my space when I needed it and I'm good at that like I'm the dude in the group who's like we're not talking to him some people don't that'll that I'm not going to be the one to tip it. Everyone feels they look at Jon Rahm by the way sitting at dinner. Just don't go near him. L. People for one degrees. That's his nickname like but you know but that's what I was doing you know. That's but that's what happens when it's guys who know how to play golf right who play golf and been in that circumstance stands. This is my fifth year the. At and T.. I've been up at the American Century Tournament now for maybe fourteen fifteen years I get it like I get how to play golf in front of people. It doesn't affect me right like you asking the question earlier like does it like. Does it affect you. Like going to that I T- I have no nerves. Did it affect you. I the first time I absolutely. Yeah but now it's like maybe maybe after like the fourth or fifth time playing in one of those like bigger tournaments after that I was like I. Nobody cares correct right like we all have this thing in our minds that like. I'm going to go embarrass myself. I'm like no not you know why because I'm so much better than the audience sitting there watching me play golf that they're impressed even if I hit a bad. That shot hit that bad shot right so I'd look at it like oh well they don't care whether I play well or not. I care whether I play well or not. Well well I know that if I'm in the moment and I'm actually all messed up about it but I'm not gonNA play. Well right I gotta get into the same space where I've had some of my best rounds and all of my best rounds of been when I'm like. Yeah whatever you gotTa Find Your Happy Place Right just like you're not caring right. The moment you care is the moment you get tents the moment your tents is the worst Gulf swing right. So I've certainly got myself to where I can just kind of be in the moment I want you know. Pick a target small targets right. No no no. Don't hit over there to the right. No pick a target hit the target. Don't worry about anything else. You're not gonna hit it there anyway. But at least you're gonNA you're GonNa make a good solid swing with the right effort by familiar with the exact opposite approach of that on the TV. You got a couple of groups backed doc. You know and you're standing in for wherever you think that they care a lot about how your shot goes right. You're standing the biggest fair way in the world and you're just like all right there's OB forty yards left. You can't it'll be and meanwhile correct just pick a small targets a giant fairway even a decent drive. You'll have a good approach. NOPE bodies a train wreck. You don't know how does golf club you're thinking. Oh Oh my God I saw. Nobody cares their phone there and watch it right. Well I I became friendly with Justin rose and he has a putting guru right who works with okay and this. This guy gave our whole little group when when we were all together Some information is called C.. Burn right and I was like okay. Okay well it's a putting thing where if you put a ball on the ground and if you move that ball quickly you're going to see what looks like a burn of a ball on the grass right and I was like what is that like why he goes. Your brain doesn't understand no or don't write. It only understands what it saying doing. So don't hit it left. Your brain heard hit it left right so there's no don't yeah it doesn't it doesn't recognize. Don't right it only recognizes do. Yeah so people say. Don't move your head you're moving your head right. What this guy is saying is his see the burn? If you see the burn you didn't move your head. It has to be an active positive. Thought not a negative thought because there's is no way that your brain understands the negative thought. Why do you always hit it in the water when you look at water if you have to hit the ball over the water like all right? Don't hit it into water. You're the water. Your brain doesn't understand. Don't you have to just don't even worry about the water. See the target and hated at your target. So it's a mental exercise absolutely but it but it becomes a physical thing because see the burn. You didn't move your. I can't tell you over

"Understand that there's you mr ribeiro was was it was a you know a black cloud of her baseball for a while uh you know but there's guys in the hall of fame two before that that you know that weren't great guys they got in you know uh made some racists you know maybe some guys that were um you know not the best with the media and not the best teammates uh there in the hall of fame so it's like you know i i hate to see people that it's all about integrity and character and that's all all the guys in the hall of fame we want them to to to live up to those standards that would be great but it's already tarnished a little bit based on the fact that the some of the guys that are already in so not to say that it's not a uh obviously it's just the pinnacle of someone's career to getting the hall of fame and it's still a great thing but i think now i'm let me personally ten years ago it is absolutely not these guys nobody should get in the that was uh you know in my opinion users uh you know especially ones that had committed the crime twice uh but now i've i've i've kinda soften my stance on that just based on what i've seen so far in the last couple of years but some of these guys have got in and out on like he's the best player to play the game uh that i ever saw and uh he he he should be in the hall of fame he should be a first ballot guy in and uh so you know that that's us that's where i stand now i i wouldn't have said the same thing ten years ago did you ever have to sit down and almost have a discussion with yourself seeing what guys did uh using steroids always hated the arguments on the peoples though you still gonna hit the bar mike well no crap you gotta hit the ball just if you can already hit the ball it's gonna help you had a harder to me opiates for the.
