"Boo. Yeah. I got to see him. How else do you not? Why don't you react like that when I walk in the room? Look, Nick. Boomer. Yeah. I never heard Bill so animated. I know. The funniest thing. How excited he was. See Chris Burton? There is a meeting later today. Once again, I am not reporting that it's going to happen. I'm going to tell you it may happen that they would vote these are the board of managers. They're going to get together and they're going to talk about maybe maybe expanding the playoffs and maybe trying to push this up to 2024. Yes. They may break a contract. Oh my God. So that's what they may vote on today. Don't want to get it caught that I'm saying and reporting here. I want to let the college insiders do that job. Yes, Paul. So it's 11 college presidents meeting and they might have to be unanimous vote. And by the way, I looked at they have a buy of all the college presidents, lots of bow ties in the pictures. Big bow tie group, college presidents. Huge bow Tiger. Except for the priest. Oh, he's got a collar. Yeah, reverend John Jenkins. He's got to go to college. We'll get to phone call. What's the poll question today, seat on this meet Friday? We got a few options here for you. College football playoff will expand in 2024, 2025, 2026 or our dreams. If they break the contract, but you can't do. Apparently. There's a contract. I don't know if they're going to approve this unanimously. I'm going to guess that this is still going to be on hold. You know, maybe they split the difference that maybe it comes in 2025. But I don't know why you'd vote against this. Unless, and I heard from a source, yes, I did. And he said, hey, if all of these conferences, these commissioners get together, and you're going to guarantee if you win your conference, no matter what that conference is, that you're on a certain level here with everybody. Then you get a bid into the playoffs. If you do that, then you'll get a unanimous vote. Now, I was told that the SEC is like, why can't we get 5 teams of the 12? Because if you let everybody, when you win your conference, you get in, you know, then the SEC might go, well, we don't want that. We have the best conference in America. Why shouldn't we be able to get 5 or 6 teams out of 12, or if you expand a 16? And I was told 12 is more likely, started 12, then you expand to 16. But that vote may happen later today. Be

"I think 28% of players that transferred that's wrong. It was D two D two players didn't end up at a at a D one school. But I did look it up, I believe it is 43% of transfers at the D one level don't end up in another D one institution. So that's 43% of players. That rough count just from the stuff that we know obviously we all have access to the entire transfer approval. But, you know, it's like cautionary tales and I hope schools are making sure that players are aware of it. They should be in a bad situation for you, but just know like, I think Jeff wall said it like, hey, the grass is the grass always looks greener because fertilizer BS. It's hilarious if Jeff falls who has benefited so much from the transfer portal that we say that, but I think the point kind of stance wait, repeat it again, repeat it again. The grass, the grass looks greener on the other side because it's fertilized with BS. Even use BS, you said the whole thing. Oh, of course. As you know, if you're just trying to make because I talked kind of over the last part of it, so I wanted to have it clearly stated. So that's interesting. Folks, self censor, which we love here. Speaking of transfers, let's talk about coaching transfers. As I like to call them. Yeah. Carly Tebow dodon is obviously a favorite of this podcast due to all your mystic size. She ends up getting her first head coaching job at Fairfield. And Fairfield just won the MAC correct this year. They did. They did. So she's coming into a good program. Getting a good chance. So I just want to shout out to Carly forgetting her first job. Yeah. I am so excited for her. And Nancy was up there, Nancy T Bo, and Eric and Mike were at the mystics training camp, and I know they're going to be making that trip up there. Wearing their red Fairfield stuff. So it's really fun. It's forgive me, guys. I'm not from the northeast. Where is Fairfield? Is it in Connecticut? I believe so, yeah. Okay, cool. I did not know that. It's in Fairfield, Connecticut. Does that make sense? There you go. I don't think I've ever been to Connecticut for as much as we talk about Connecticut. Maybe I'll go up there. It's like in the beach. Whatever. That's cool, man. I know where it was. When you go up there. Huh? Yeah, right. I'm so wrong, you know, hang out. I do think I'm wrong. I don't think Fairfield will in the MAC. I thought they did. I think that they did. They did. They went 19 one. Okay. So they did. 19 a month. And they were in the tournament. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Because on the men's side, I would say Peter, you won. Yes. And made that big run, yeah. So, sorry about the confusion there. Shouts to Carly. Also, obviously, if we're not, if I'm not talking about Miami, I'm talking about William and Mary. Aaron Dickerson Davis is the new one's basketball head coach at William and Mary. Yes. Seems like a great hire. You know more about her, so I want to get your take on her, but she's a northwestern grad, played at northwestern, spend time with Taos in Georgetown, most recently I wake forest. All those schools really make sense with William Mary, which is a very academic first school art, every school is academic first. But William Mary is like, the classroom is way more important than the court. And I think she can handle that if you've been at Georgetown and wake forest certainly. And she can help bring in recruits from this area. So I'm excited for it as a William Mary alum. Now I love her. And I think she has a tremendous opportunity there at William and Mary. She was at Georgetown when my daughter was being recruited by Georgetown. So she was on staff there. So we spent a lot of time talking to her and being on campus with her and she was just amazing. So when she went to wake forest, I know Jen Hoover very well. We played against each other in college. And so for her to go down there with Jen, I thought was really special. But now for her to be first year head coach, I'm super excited for her and congrats. That's going to be fun. It's going to be fun for you as an alum to get down there. I'm going to try to go to a lot of schools around here. But yeah, I'm definitely going to definitely go back to William and Mary. So yeah, shout out to her. I think there's a ton of other news that we can always get to. There's a ton of stuff that we leave on the table in these podcasts. I don't think I'm missing anything you got anything else, Christie that you want to yes. One of my really, it's hard to call, you know, players who you recruited and coached, it's hard to call them Friends, but that is a great friend of mine. Sarah Jenkins, who played at Riverdale baptist, a recruited her when I was assistant coach at Maryland for her freshman year and she decided to leave after a freshman season. And I took those two years off in between, had two babies, came back and I came back and coached at Georgetown, and then that's where Sarah had transferred. So I coached her her freshman year and her senior year. But she was assistant coach at Penn State before that she was also at Georgetown and Delaware, but now she is back as the head coach at Delaware. I'll talk about crying when Nas noman's name was being called when that news came out that she was going to do that. I mean, Natasha there, she took the head coaching position at Arizona state. She was at Delaware. They made that run to the tournament and lost in college park. But for her to be able to come back and coach at Delaware, I'm just extremely thrilled for her. I was talking to texting with moka, and she was this excited to all the DMV years or just over the top with the possibilities with Sarah Jenkins being there. Her dad, reverend John Jenkins, said, first baptist church of Glenn Arden, Maryland. Her mom, like I know their whole family, but he has a mega church in PG county, Maryland. They're going to have a lot of support for her because that's not too far up the road. It's kind of Delaware's kind of extended DMV. Yeah. We count it when it's when it's beneficial to us. Absolutely. That would be a matchup that we can go to. Down there, Williamsburg, CA matchup between William Mary and the Delaware. There you go. And then Della Don, maybe there too, because that's her. That's her. I thought it was a little surprised that she wasn't at the Maryland game, but I'm sure she had other things to do. She's working out, man. She looks good. She looks good. Whatever she was doing, it seems to have worked. But yeah. Jenkins. Shouts all the new coaches. It's really, really exciting time for all these new coaches taking over, especially all the ones we're near us. So yeah, that's all I got. That's it. This will be talking next week. Now, season won't be up Saturday next week. So maybe we'll do our season preview. I know. I can't wait for that. Once the rosters are narrowed down, unfortunately, I know it's going to be hard to do, but once that happens, we will bring that all to you, but we don't have to go home. Y'all don't have to go home, but we got to get up out of here. They're cutting the lights out on us. We're still sitting here courtside. We're going to walk off slowly and still talk about all these things. We've discussed today. But we certainly appreciate you guys. Joining us today right here on the her hoop stats podcast network for this episode of courtside with Christian Gabe for my partner. Gave Ibrahim I'm Christy winter Scott. We'll see you next time..

"The Brett Hayes h A Z, You can find me. At a C. Bellino. I'm a huge proponent of this expanded playoff have been since they brought in the four teams, and now there's going to be a summer review phase to test the prospects. The timing Of the 12 team. College Football just saw this article posted a little bit earlier. But the proposal for the 12 team College football playoff jumped over another hurdle earlier today, when the 11 presidents and chancellors who have the ultimate authority over the format, authorized The 10 FBS commissioners to begin a summer review face to determine the feasibility of an expanded playoff field and work on the details of how and when it might be implemented. A very important step, as the playoffs could be expanded, couldn't be expanded without the support of presidents and chancellors who make up the college football playoff committees. Board of managers. They got so many committees and so many board who's running the show here. Who's the commish? This is why, in my opinion with all the talk today about the Name, image and likeness. The N C double has completely dropped. The ball completely dropped the ball. And you know this is where You know you have Representatives from each of the 10 FBS conferences. And, of course, Notre Dame has their president. Reverend John Jenkins, because you know they Are so special in superior to everybody that they they get their own, join a conference. College football needs a real commissioner. They need real criteria. The N C. Double a needs to step up and be a real governing body. This is where they dropped the ball completely. So, but we're entering the next phase. One step at a time. You know, the N C double A. You talk about just, you know, facing a battle on all fronts. I mean, my goodness, East and West, north and south, They're just surrounded. Buy stuff that they got to handle because they put it off for so long. Have allowed conferences and universities. To basically run the show while they tried to slap people on the risk for bag men popping up in a McDonald's somewhere. Somebody get a Dodge charger. You don't need to be like Stop. Discipline needs to be a part of it. But it's got to be a part of it for the fact that the N C Double A as the governing body of college athletics needs to be much more hands on And it's a lot. I mean, think about all the varsity sports that you have, and across Gymnastics, swimmin soccer, softball, baseball, basketball football. The list goes on wrestling. In some cases, hockey like there's a ton. Field hockey that you have to be paying attention to its a lot going on. Track and field, speaking of track and field. Chris Paul declined. Team USA is invitation for the Tokyo Olympics, according to sources. And I wouldn't be surprised. A lot of guys have come and said that yeah, they are going to they are going to do it. But I'm Chris Paul. I don't You know, you already missed Game one of the Western Conference finals. You're not going to play in Game two tonight after entering the NBA's health and safety protocols last Wednesday. Nobody knows when he's going to come back to the floor. And I don't know about you. But based upon where Japan's covid numbers are, and I haven't I haven't seen the ticker lately to tell me you know where Brad as far as our global numbers. I don't know if that's a safe bet. You know, I don't I don't know if it's a good idea. Remember when Nick Castano Scott got suspended early on in the season because he celebrated cause this quote unquote Super spreader event like Yeah, okay, considering everybody out there is obviously cleared and they've tested negative so we should be good to go with everybody who's out on the field anyways. But you can celebrate on the field. That's not a super spreader event. You know, it is a super spreader event. Going to a different country with people from all over the world. To take part in athletic events where you are going to be intermingling with all these people from everywhere on every continent. In a country that oh, by the way, doesn't necessarily have covid numbers that would make you smile. That to me. Would be a super spreader. But Not what Nick Castellanos was doing. I still I still want more information. Still want more information on the Chris Paul saga. And what's happening here? Because you know LeBron James. He was out. Those photos surfaced and he got that pass. And, according to Michael Wilbon of ESPN. Chris Paul had already been vaccinated. So what's the issue here? Because LeBron James got his past. Why doesn't Chris Paul get his? What? What's the issue here? And this really, I mean, for tonight's game, very pivotal game, too. In Phoenix. And look, I've got to be honest with you when when I hear Different people at the national level, talking about how they are. You know, this isn't good for the NBA, and you know, Ella gets knocked out. Then what would happen if it was a Phoenix, Milwaukee or a Phoenix in an Atlanta series and out? You don't need to have Boston, the New York Knicks of the L. A Lakers in the finals to make it riveting television. Golden State was riveting television. Right prior to Klay Thompson getting injured. Like that team. They were built for the long haul, But one injury takes around like that. That changes.
