"Honda 10 45 now to Rob would for right, John. It is cut day in the NFL is all 32 teams have to trim their rosters from 80 players down to 53 by 4 P.m. this afternoon. The Washington football team started that process yesterday with a surprising release of Adrian Peterson, and it continued this morning with the surprising release of safety Sean Davis, despite giving him a $2 million signing bonus. Davis started 41 games over four seasons in Pittsburgh. He was expected to do so in Washington, but Troy AKI seize control of the competition early and we'll start the season opener against the Eagles next Sunday. Yesterday, Washington coach Ron Rivera spoke about his criteria for making the team. It's not just about the exes, nose and and and athleticism as Muchas is about knowing how to play the game, happy experience playing the game but also being a guy that fits and into the culture that you're trying to create. "The. Not exactly the first day of school, but nevertheless, old thirty two teams go back to work in some capacity this week eighteen today for OTA's organized team activities, and we'll look at some of the questions the biggest questions facing each of these teams who were on the field today. However, OTA's got off to a difficult start in the nation's capital linebacker. Ruben foster went down just minutes into practice. You can see impounding the Turkey is upset. No official word on the injury. Just yet, we will continue to update you as we move along. I'm waiting. And glad to have you on this Monday afternoon, Adam schefters here, field Yates, and Louis Riddick will, of course start with foster and what has happened with the Washington Redskins or play the vote, and more and more. We see this happen with the fact that these teams don't have regular practice. You see guys go down every single year with injuries. You just that this one isn't serious. Minder standing is is that the Redskins now? Are awaiting the results of an MRI on a left knee injury. That didn't look good. He was carted off. He was crying. You usually can tell when these types of injuries are serious. Now we should add last year. Garrett Bowles got carted off the Broncos. Former per drastic was crying also. And he missed a couple of weeks did not turn out to be significant so you never know. But this one did not look promising encouraging and the Redskins are awaiting the results. There are a couple of different layers here. Obviously first of all the Redskins and what that would mean between the lines, but also failed underscoring just a bet y player. Sometimes do not participate in these voluntary workouts because to your point chef de we see this early on. Everything. Even it's the risks that you run. And this is a player. Ruben foster has been through the most one of the most unusual pass the I two plus seasons of players NFL career. But you're right when you see a player like Odell Beckham junior who might have obligations of than Cleveland during the off season Wendy moments like this are gentle. Minder that these players ultimately their body to their temples. It is their livelihood. And it's hard to be grudge these players do not take parts in what are clearly unquestionably volunteer activities for the Redskins. I think the head coach Jaeger is probably saying to himself again we lead the NFL in terms of players finish last season on the injured reserve, it started early with Darius guys tearing his ACL in the preseason. It continued with devastating injuries along the offensive line all over the roster. And here we are, and on may twentieth. He stared down the possibility of a player that at some point Louis, they were counting on to give them some legitimate production. Maybe not being available right away. They've made a lot of this of an investment in this in this football player, both professionally and personally guys really wanna see Reuben foster do very, very well, I'll just say this off season conditioning programs already been condensed to the point where it's basically nothing. I mean on field activities are starting right now in phase three and having been through an off season a couple of different times in my career. I mean at some point time you have to practice football. This is this on. Fortunately, one of the things that happens that sometimes you go out there. And maybe you have a non look, obviously, had to be a non contact injury here because you're not even practicing in pats. This is just what comes with the game..

"And I confess to that. You know, I'm here to learn about quantum Alexander. Who's twenty four years old? So he goes young he's younger than Reuben foster. And this is all rooted in Reuben foster. This is the guy. This is the position Reuben foster was supposed to play for the forty Niners. Reuben foster is now in the Washington. Redskins. He is no longer a forty Niner. So the forty Niners needed somebody. They had Malcolm Smith they were not overjoyed with him. He actually took a pay cut to stay on the team. Now did Malcolm Smith. I mean, I remember him being on the field. Maybe one game. I mean like he really didn't play. He played a fair amount. Didn't he I don't know, man. Right. Nah. I didn't hear his name Morley at all. In fact, we can get back into that. Because somebody saying that the forty Niners are the John Lynch regime is showing a tendency to respond. I didn't know Michael Smith Trojan completely slept on that deal. Oh, yeah. Was he a great Trojan Super Bowl MVP? No, no, not really. He was just it was just a Trojan. Paulie, he played twelve games last year. Started five started five, okay? Not much action on the field though. He had one pass defense. How did you miss? It always worth it then. Yeah. I missed totally. I don't know where where were you? What were you getting some? We get some nachos. Mike children at when he defended his past shadow chill, dude. But anyway, so yeah. One pass defense. So now gender is at an LSU. There's some interesting details on this guy. He's a fourth rounder. He already has a PD suspension on his record. That's what I'm saying. So has got a sort of Barry Bonds and. All the baseball players who get destroyed for their PD use shout out to the NFL. Oh, he has a PD bust yet. Good one can play take four weeks come on back here. Wednesday back when's he back back in October. The American sports fans brain between baseball and football on PD's is hilarious. Man hilarious. We are just absolute barbarians when it comes to football. I think the football is like the delta house in animal house and in baseball is like Bushwick country club, George Maryland right with smell smell want to call up some Carlin there Leland. You can never go wrong with the baseball versus football a bit short little like twelve year old Jameson from twain hearts never heard it. I hope you've played for your kids. I haven't yet. They're going to love it. In fact, I played that for my kids when they were both playing little league baseball genius is clean. It's just a brilliant piece of com-. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe. In football. We marched down the grid iron and methodically plotting. You haven't heard example like that in baseball. The goal is to go home. Save me. Save baseball. We sacrifice. Yes. In fact, we got it right here. This is Quan Alexander's PD suspension. Nobody cares in baseball. Everybody cares because baseball such a sacred sport. You take it away, George Carlin. Baseball has no time limit. We don't know how long it's gonna last. We might have extra innings football.

"It felt like they was JV varsity. So at the end of the year, here's what you know. Right now, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, even LSU like those four or five Anaheim state like just have more NFL players than everyone else. So even if they win if they're a one loss team like I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt over an undefeated Notre Dame over an undefeated pack, twelve I love the Pac twelve I wish they were better. But I watch them. They don't have a lot of NFL guys right now, you know, most of these teams like you go how state they got seven NFL starters who are going to be in the NFL next year, not counting all the underclassmen that will be back and then being the NFL in a year. Like, I watched Washington like how many NFL guys they have on their team five total? You know, he's I watched Washington state. How many how many pros they have hell I watch SC? They don't have as many Cal in their heyday with Jeff Tedford, they'd roll out teams. Like, Alex Mack. Marshawn Lynch dish on Jackson that was their offense. Who do you have on your offense? I dunno. Sean Jackson, marshawn Lynch and my centers, Alex Mack. You're going to be pretty good. I mean, we all know the defense be Carol used to roll out. That's basically what these teams are. If you think back a couple years when state upset Alabama it felt really big upset at the time. And then we look back really, Dan they had Bosa Zeke. Lattimore Conley bell daringly. I think it was Ryan shazier on that team Taylor decker. They had so many dupes the center they drafted by Cincinnati this year, they were just hacked. I mean, they weren't incredible team was basically an NFL roster. No wonder they upset Alabama turns out that wasn't really upset. It was really that. Good. But I'm with. I want some uniform standards. I just think that college football like the pros. It's a little more like a private sector business. They have committees that they put major owners on in decisions happen relatively quick. Now they've vote on stuff. There still is a quote unquote committee, but these guys are all business leader. So they think pretty quick. In college football. It's a little more light truly like politics things happen, so slow no one ever wants to upset the apple cord like it's hard to get things change. Remember how long it took to get a four team playoff? I'm thirty four years old. It feels like it took twenty plus years of like us talking about it, you know, and then really talking about it probably in the mid two thousand it took another ten that's things happened in the NFL. It's like we want the rule change for targeting, boom. It's implemented the next year. We want an extra team in the playoffs. We want Thursday night game. They adapt so fast. College is a little slower mainly because you have a lot of administrators that don't really have anything to do with anything that don't want their their hand. It'd be pulled out a cookie jar. You know? So I like where your head's at night think definitely something will will probably happen eventually, but it's like gambling in some of these states, especially my state in California just. Takes time. It does not happen overnight. So I appreciate everyone listening. Thanks for everything. Thanks for just keep on listening. Enjoy the offs. I plan is to be be out next Tuesday. I think I'm going to be at the national championship game. If I don't will see follow me on Instagram agile middlekauff all me on Twitter. Same thing. Always you slide up in those dams, and I'll answer your questions right here on the middlekauff mailbag made a peace be with you. Gots audios..

"But who knows could have changed the landscape of their season. I think if if Gruden. That's I can't condone and Khalil Mack. I've said it from the beginning. It's just one of the most asinine things ever. Because in the NFL you can turn around things relatively quick. Like, they still would have let's say they would have gone five and eleven with Khalil Mack. We still ahead Cleal MAC under contract us that topic. You could still trae Tamari let's say four first round pick. And then all of a sudden your team is competitive, and you have a stalwart on defense. Who's one of the best events players we've ever seen and the thing is groomed. Didn't necessarily think just big picture because he traded a third round pick for Martavis Bryant he signed Jordy Nelson. So it could be a strategic advantage. If you just want full on hinky just signed practice squad players did not sign any older guys. Like, they signed Doug Martin, you know, they resigned Reggie Nelson. They they signed just older players like if you just would've traded Khalil traded Amaury not. Signed any old guys. I'd be like, okay. That that one hundred percent is a strategic advantage. Like, if you just go barebones, you trade all your sweet players. I get it. You're just going big picture. But I can't say that. So in theory. Yes, it could become a strategic advantage did Jon Gruden uses fugit advantage. No. He did not. Because he signed so many old guys. They I'm pretty sure they had the oldest roster in the NFL. So we'll see if it thinks change with Mike Mayock. Now, they have kind of a unique strategy with these next two drafts. Definitely this draft. They have four picks in the top thirty six or whatever. So it's a big opportunity for them to kind of turn this thing around. Hey, john. I listen every week from the UK. I was wondering what your thoughts were on the colts push to the playoffs. So this is a little old is really out of the blue. Or should we have expected it given the huge talent for Andrew luck. I think we just re kind of hash the question as is it shocking the Colt made the playoffs. The to me the only reason it was is because they started so slow. They started one in five. But when you factor in that like you said, not he's a huge. I mean, he's one he's a generational player. So if you get a healthy, Andrew luck for sixteen games. Andrew has proven it. You will be in the mix. You will have a chance to make the playoffs. You know? Now, I think what was shocking about this year or two things. I didn't I didn't like the anyone knows the Quinton Nelson draft pick. But it turns out that using draft pick on offense of lime, and maybe I should have looked at it a little different. It is a more understandable than the way. I crushed it. But here's the thing. They nailed they got a free agent flyer on Eric Braun. He had like fourteen touchdowns this year. It might have been thirteen thirteen or fourteen touchdowns. I don't think he'd ever gotten his career total didn't sniff that he was a Royal bussed in. In Detroit as a former first round pick. Then TY for the most part was healthy. And had a good season. They also Darius Leonard the guy they got in the second round. I kept saying why didn't the colts take roquan Smith. He's the modern day linebacker clearly with Chicago. He's a bad ass kicking ass. Take names will they basically got roquan Smith guy that I didn't really know that much about Darius Leonard who's been phenomenal. And then they also, you know responded pretty well when Josh mcdaniels backed out on them. So if I took a step back and just said luck was going to be healthy for sixteen games. Remember, he didn't throw a ball in OTA's? I I don't really remember during training camp. But I think it took a while for him. He definitely didn't play in the first couple of preseason games. So it was like is even healthy. And then he started slow their whole team did. But now looking back I think they over cheat a little bit, but they also underachieved a little bit at the beginning. If Andrew luck stays healthy. This is a playoff team every year. You don't Ryan Grigson who tried to some Arene in ruin this team. Chris Ballard a saved it. And it looks like they got a coach. Okay. Keep grinding guys..

"But at the end of the day the games in Houston. I think Bill Brian is one of those guys that everyone on the internet acts like an idiot and always done is win everywhere. He's been he won and earned. Brady's respect went to Penn State after Sandusky molested every little kid in Penn State and that bad whole drama happened. They basically got the death penalty law scholarships. He went there on one when eight and four with Matt mcglone like you're not supposed to win eight games with Matt mcglone in the big ten while Sandusky in Joe Pau, just the whole scandal happened. I almost think that gets under appreciated now what seven eight years later that was cr-. Crazy. I lived in Philadelphia at the time that was insane. That was nuts and Billy came in their hit people in the teeth in one games. And I know that we in Philly. He was before we offer chip Kelly. Who was the first guy we offered the job said, no guys a big time football coach the colts is an incredible story almost feels like a year early. Clearly, they are stacked without they have the arguably best quarterback thirty or under in the NFL. He is the best quarterback thirty or under in the NFL. Have a bunch of really good role players have a couple studs t wise a baller. Eric E? Braun has become a baller their offense of lines. Really good. Darius Leonard's baller? So they are. I think defensively they're over cheating a little bit. Uber. Flus proven to be pretty good. I like the Texans in this game. I've been tweeden and saying I'm taking the colts money line. But the more I think about it like this is going to be a hard game for the colts. It really is. Because it's hard for road teams to win games in the playoffs. I think Kevin Clark said a stat was Bill Simmons that you know, a road team or a non one or two seed excuse me, let me rephrase this since two thousand twelve every team in the Super Bowl has not won a road game. They've been the one or two seed in obviously just played home games. Like it is so hard to get to the Super Bowl winning road games. So you know, the colts would be dangerous. I wouldn't want to mess with them. If I was Kansas City, and I could choose. You know of all the teams plan that I'd wanna play because they played the lowest seed, so it either be the culture the chargers, you know. I'd probably rather play the colts. But I think either the culture charges would be tough. But at the end of the day. I think Houston just games at home. I think Bill Brian is a really good. I think he's better coats and Frank, right? This is what is four time in the playoffs and five years, or is it three and five years the first who came with like Hoyer and just scrubs. I mean, look at what happens when he gets a quarterback. He wins games. He's a big time football coach and Houston. Actually, I think is almost being slept on a little bit like Dallas. I they are going to be tougher than people think these next couple of weeks. Okay, before I get into the middlekauff mail bag. I got one more thing to bring up and I've talked about this before. And I was just show shocked probably the wrong word because I do expect certain things with the media in on Twitter and on social media. But when we just had all the information on when Reuben foster who got arrested when the forty Niners were playing Tampa Bay. At the team hotel on the road, which I said it before and I'll say it again, I think is unprecedented for a player on the road in the NFL. This is not baseball basketball. You don't stay at the hotels, multiple nights. You are literally in the hotel you show up at like four or five in the afternoon..

"Now, if it's third two he can run for a first down, but I filled rivers can't lose this guy Anthony link the chargers cannot lose this game. And I also think the other big elephant in the room on this, and I fell for it a little bit when the Baltimore Ravens released a statement that John Harbaugh was staying he has not signed an extension. He has one year left on his contract. There are still rumors that he might. Traded like I kind of I was duped, and I kind of hang my hat. On on myself, never getting duped. Never getting fooled. I just know too much. But this guys kind of Duke me, I'm like damn John Harbaugh going nowhere. Not so fast. I think there's a decent chance. They lose this game. And they trade John Harbaugh. Just just time. Ozzy's retiring, they have new general manager Harbaugh's eagles, really huge and also maybe just months of fresh. He's been there forever. He's really more of a motivator leader than he is some schematic guy. He doesn't know offense. He doesn't know defense. He's a special teams guy. He he's big on like samurai swords in the locker room, and you know, bringing mountain lions to practice to roar. I mean, he's in all that shit. And again, he's a he's a big time coach he's a top six seven probably coach in the NFL. But in the analogy, I used as I think the ravens of realize, you know, they're dating seven and a half eight if you break up with that seven and a half eight you in bed. Case scenario, you think, and you hope you're going to end up with a ten more than likely you're gonna end up with five or six in Bush Coty. I think I said his name the owner is not that dumb. So, but if you're John Harbaugh like you you're like a player, you're like idea. Let me hit free agency. You know, what someone would pay John Harbaugh? Jon Gruden just got ten million dollars. What would John Harbaugh get on the open market? I mean seriously fifteen million dollars a year would he get five year fifteen million dollar year contract? So what's that thirty sixty? I mean, why couldn't he get seventy million dollars just from five years. I think someone that. So he's no dummy. And if you're the ravens, you know, really, well, I don't really wanna pay him fifty million dollars a year. So I think we're looking at if Philip rivers does what I hope he does takes to the ravens and win might be looking the last game of John Harbaugh's career in Baltimore that I I've gone on this show. Said on Twitter said on Instagram fall me at middlekauff. I thought it was kinda crazy like he wasn't gonna go anywhere when they released a statement. But really you kind of read into the statement. He's not really some lock. They didn't do anything. He. Yeah. He's nothing changed. The other colts Texans one of the better Saturday day games in recent memory at least a day game. For me the way I look at this is I think people are almost discounting the Texans who have had a big time season who have just three or four elite players Watson baller Hopkins. Arguably best receiver in the league. JJ watt has had a defensive player of the year level season. Clowney is really come into his own as just a full-on ask kicker and Honey badger has been one of the better off season signings. They're just they have some elite players now their offense lines. Not great. I think to Shawn Watson sack more times than any other quarterback. I think part of that is when you have scrambling quarterbacks, you know, they are they're more likely to hold onto the ball make some place. I mean, not that I ever would. But if you did some deep dive study on everyone of Watson sacks. I bet you know, a decent. Percentage maybe twenty to thirty percent or on him. I used to be in here in the bay area. Watch capper Nikki created a lot of sacks. Russell wilson. You watch. Russell wilson. He kind of does that to, you know, Philip rivers and Tom Brady, they get sacked. They also avoid a lot of sexy. Throw it away, you know, or just get rid of the ball, really quick..

"But depending on where you gamble you can bet on teams to win the whole thing if. You can get them at like twenty five thirty to one. I think that's pretty good value. And I definitely liked Cowboys to win this game. Okay. Let's touch on the AFC games here. Actually, pretty good start with this game is actually on Sunday Star with this first because I think. Historical significance in this game means the most there's one player of the two AFC games that has de most on the line to me. It's not even close like Andrew lock JJ watt. Anyone on the ravens don't even sniff. What this guy has a line? That's Philip rivers. He lost to these guys late in the regular season. Whatever I mean, it was tough loss at home. The charge are one of those weird teams are seven one at on the road in five and three at home mainly because they play in like a little junior high stadium. They are they're actually much more quipped plan the road, but Philip rivers has to win this game. Like, they're just know fans are, but he played like absolute poop against the ravens less than a month ago was awful in a game that he had just had been arguably the biggest regular season win of his career against the chiefs, and he came out and later Neg raves even Zach Solent. I've been talking about him for a while. They are a well put together unit like the poor man's version of. Kogyo? They don't quite have the blue chip player. Suggs is really old wells older, but they are just a well run operation but rivers has to go in win this game. Now, Ben if he goes to play New England or candidate depend on who he plays whatever he doesn't have to win. He's got to win this game. You can't go twelve and four have this big of a season. And really they're twelve and four they started Owen four last year and ended up winning nine games. So what's that? They won nine of twelve. So that's nine and three. He's basically doing my Matthew on the fly twenty one and twenty one at seven these last two years like it's. I say it all the time in the NBA. Now, the NFL's a little different because a regular season. There is still a lot on the line like the NFL regular season matters. But unlike basketball in baseball where I only care what you do in the regular season. I mean, excuse me, the postseason like, I don't care. How many home runs you hitting a meaningless game in June? I don't care how many points you score against the Phoenix Suns. When no one's paying attention on a random January night. What do you do in may and June like, James heart? What can you do? When all the chips are on the line against the warriors. Philip rivers. What can you do on the road in the playoffs? I talk about you like a hall of Famer most of us talk about you like a hall of Famer eventually you gotta do something for me. You know, I don't you have overcome cheap ownership poor coaching. So I give you a lot of credit. I really do. But you gotta win this game. You have to win this game. You lose this game on the road to Lamar Jackson. I saw someone might have been ryen russillo tweeted it out he has. Lamar Jackson kept this pace up for sixteen games. The only player in the league that would have more rushing attempts than him was Zeke Elliott. That is not a sustainable way to win that should not win playoff games. This is nineteen Seventy-nine. Philip rivers should go into Baltimore a very tough place to play. But you can't lose the Lamar Jackson. You can't. And I also think the Lamar Jackson troopers. Listen, he seems like a fantastic kid. I'm rooting for him. I hope he really improves. He's not a very good passer. He's just not as of right now as to quote, my guy Tommy Lasorda in a big game. I said the limo to come pick them up because I wanna play the guy that can't complete a pass when it's third eight. I know that he cannot complete a pass..

"I just think the bears are better. I think the bears defense is just elite. And I think they have enough players on offense an innovative enough coach on offense to just get Mitch going. I also think that they're kind of prepared. I'm gonna like them if they win this game. Which again, I'm taking them in the points. I liked them to cover the five and a half points actually like little money line with the chargers in Clemson. But I like the bears win this game at Soldier Field. The place going to be nuts in listen. I also think this is a testament and a a compliment to what Doug Peterson has done. Just getting this team to the playoffs. They had no business being there at six and seven their starting quarterback hurt. But the culture they've built in Philly. It's a high level team. That is not going to go away. Like, they are going to be a Super Bowl favorite. Next year with Carson Wentz, assuming he's healthy. So this is my favorite game that I have circled, obviously, just I got a no these guys know a lot of people in both organizations. But I think is the best game on paper. I think it has a chance to be just the most physical game on the field. And and I really think that the bears have a legit shot to make a run. Okay. Let's get into the other NFC game which probably the second best game of the weekend Saturday night Cowboys, I guess Seattle at the Dallas Cowboys, I feel like a lot of people social media media people people that talk about the NFL like Seattle in this game. I don't I like Dallas. And I like Dallas for a couple reasons one. I just think they're pretty good. I know their offense sputtered a little bit lately. But once they Clinton division like I'm sorry. They didn't have as much to play for the last couple of weeks. Also, everyone made such a big deal over like, I guess it was like three or four weeks ago when they got blown out by indie. They had just one two. Crazy emotional games. They didn't have that much to play for. I know this. They the leading rusher in the league Elliott Amari Cooper changed their passing game. Their defense is excellent. They also sneaky now have somewhat of a home field advantage. Like you watch that game against Philly, and you watch that game against the saints. That place was rocking. I don't think it did a couple years ago, but that place got a little swag to it. Now. It's not an easy place to play. I like Dallas to win this game probably by touchdown. Plus last I checked the line was like one thing it opened at two and a half has already come back to earth. I like the Cowboys in this also like a little bit like the bears. I think the Cowboys are going to be a really tough out. I think a lot of people, you know, don't take them as seriously. They're defensive pass rush or elite Zeke Elliott is elite. They're just team speed on defense elite. They also get a home game here. Also Seattle to me is a little overvalued Vel. I do. Love the quarterback love the coach love their culture. But their team is somewhat of overachievers this year. That is not the case with the Cowboys. They didn't really overachiever when you look at them. You just look at the town. They have they got multiple blue chip pass rushers. They got Jalen Smith who was a blue Chipper who got injured and is in a blue Chipper again late in Vandross. First rounder, Amari Cooper, went forth in the draft has been multiple pro bowls. Like the dude camp play. Everyone hates Jason Garrett. Like, he's won this division. Now a couple times and the NFC east. I don't even care if it's down that is not an easy division to win. It by four has the most pressure of any division. Just because the way it's covered the way the league values it I really think the Cowboys almost undervalued at this point headed into the playoffs. I don't think it's inconceivable now, I wouldn't do this..

"And now he's the head coach and Doug Peterson was also there, and they both talked about it this week. They're close friends. Doug Peterson tried to take Matt Nagy when he became head coach affiliate to be his offense coordinator, obviously stayed in Kansas City. He was bumped up with Andy it worked out for both guys. And I think when you look at these two guys in a league pretty shady in a league that will back stab you in a heartbeat and you're seeing going on right now with all these coaching firings and people are so quick to point the finger. I think I know this. I know Matt better Doug Matt's is high character anyone that I've ever been around and people like I have no problem if I think I've scumbag, I'll say guys comeback like Ryan Grigson just a bad person. He's just not a good human. And it's like you don't need to hear that. For me. If you've read around the NFL like Pat McAfee all the people with the colts, they crush them. He just not a good guy. Clearly, not a good evaluator either. But like Matt Nagy and Doug Peterson are just high level guys out. Matt hasn't had any adversity because twelve and four got them to the playoffs for the first time in seven years. He's like he is the all-time first year winningest coach in the history of Chicago Bears. So he's got to Ryan the way I give a lottery spec. The Doug Philly to me is by far the toughest media market for any team in the NFL this year. There was a press conference like four weeks ago when Carson went down he is the defending Super Bowl champion head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles personable they've ever one. He was getting it was a war zone in that press conference he handled it like a pro e even he got a little aggressive, but it's just natural. He got they were six and seven they put back and foles they get to the playoffs. So there was we all know. And I almost called him Travis. Jason Kelsey spoke about it last year at the parade. When Michael embargo had just been crushing. Doug. And you know, what you don't wanna turns out a really good offensive play caller. He's also pretty mentally tough. And you can't just be anyone to handle Philly, like, even some good coaches. Probably wouldn't hang in Philly. It's a good personality fit form. He he's got pretty thick skin. And plus he already had gray hair before he got the job. So the stress won't really make great. I think both. These guys are testament to just how good Andy is evaluating coaches. You know, he I mean, there are four other coaches know, excuse me, three other guys Nagy Peterson and John Harbaugh that are Andy Reid guys. I mean, we talk all the time about Bill Belichick who I do think is the greatest coach of all time. But it can't really be argued that his track record of developing coaches is shitty. And he's the best in the business because he opens doors, he communicates he tries to help. You know, it truly is a team environment. With them and look at how he kind of nurtured readied and help these guys take steps in their career and put them in position when they got head coaching jobs. They were ready. They hit the ground running. They are prepared where it seems like the opposite with Bela checks guys. And again, I'm not saying Andy's better Bill. But I do think if you factor in everything he's the best coach in the NFL that acting kill eventually get a Super Bowl. And then we'll talk about him as a hall of Famer because what he's done to the Matt Nagy will tell you like the reason he was prepared because Andy Reid Doug Peterson. We'll tell you the same thing. But this game, you know, I like the bears. I actually think the bears if Mitch can just play under control, and that's a big question because the playoffs. I know the analytic guys in baseball will always tell you an at bat in October is the same as an at bat in June. Well, that's false. And I got news for the games in in January. Are just harder the games played faster. Every play means more every yard is a little more contested, every tackle is a little bit more physical the coaches burn the midnight oil oil a little longer..

"It's one of the rare things in this country that it's nowhere near what when the president was talking in the nineties or hell as a Netflix documentary set like the. Amount of people that watched the final episode of cheers was crazy. Well, the amount of people that will watch all these NFL football games. We'll be twenty plus million people in this day and age in two thousand nineteen with phones and pads social media and YouTube that's a lot of people. So these next couple weeks are enormous muscle flexes for the sport of football. And I know the media loves tell you it's dying in CT and no one's allowed to play. There is no sport. And it ain't even close that people truly care about that. People gamble on that people play draft kings on that people. You know, I salute their time the amount of Americans this weekend that will set aside time in their day for teams that they don't really care about the gambling on that. They just wanna watch is unlike any vet that we have right now in this country. Like, I don't Netflix was tweeting out the amount of people that watched called bird box or whatever was Sandra. Bullock. I haven't watched yet not really my thing. And it was a ton of people watch. I mean, like fifty million people tweet I saw earlier in the week. But they didn't all watch it once they watched at their own time. Like if you're gonna watch Texans colts, or you know, eagles Bayer's were Seattle Dallas. We're all going to be watching it at the same time in our respective cow bar wherever so this is a fun week a lot on the line. And it's really one of the last, you know, kind of galvanizing things that a large percentage of Americans we still get together and watch because you can't. Television shows anymore. You clearly can't say that politics. It's football. And I love football. And that's why I talked about football for living. I'm really really excited for this weekend. Okay. Let's let's dive into some of the games because the playoffs are here. My favorite game little personal for me. But I also think I can have kind of unique insight would be the bears in the eagles the NFC. I mean, the two NFC games are just better than to AFC games. Even though the colts Texans game is somewhat of a sleeper. But if you haven't read it the article on builds him inside the ringer about FOX purchasing the NFL is very relevant when you look at these two games like the NFC or excuse me, purchasing the NFL begin the NFC is the powerhouse converse. It has all the big markets. LA San Francisco New York, Dallas, Philly Washington, Chicago, it's got all the big boys. And this is this is a big boy market game with an up and coming. Powerhouse brand. I mean, the bears are one of the major when you say the cargo bears, even though they've only won once will they are arguably. I wouldn't twice as the Cowboys or Steelers or packs because those teams have had a lot more recent success, which goes like a top three media market. That franchise is a powerhouse. So it's good to see them relevant, obviously Phillies been a big boy forever defending champs of doesn't get much bigger. I know both the head coaches, I love Matt Nagy. He's even better than I thought just there was a great article on ESPN dot com about he almost quit football in terms of he played in the arena league for a long time. He was thirty the economic, you know, housing crisis happened in two thousand eight two thousand nine the league folded in when the league folded, he couldn't go to the NFL. So he quit football. He just said I'm going to go to business he had a young family, and he went to work for a guy. And it turns out that the guy he went to work for gave him a shot. Even though they were homebuilding company. The the homebuilding company was taking on water because the economic. Times. And he ended up a year later getting an opportunity to be like an intern. Randy read in the guy told them, like, listen, you're crazy. You have to take this chance. It was huge pay cut. He did it anyway. And I was there two that year and the rest is history..

All right. I I deserve to get roasted for that. Probably James harden, probably should be considered the midseason MVP at this point. Five straight forty plus point games. Who does that? Is going to be enough to keep them in the MVP conversation towards the end of the season, though, we get bored of this stuff pretty quickly. We'll get back to that in a little bit first. And last Michael junior here on ESPN radio and the ESPN app and. One source of confusion and frustration for a lot of people myself included has been the way that the NFL handled. The case surrounding former forty Niners and current Washington. Redskins linebacker, Ruben foster and the allegation of misdemeanor domestic violence stemming from November twenty fourth incident between him and his ex girlfriend. Eliza NS the night before the Niners were supposed to play the buccaneers. So for anyone that missed that. In that scenario. There is a police report filed by the Tampa police that said quote foster slapped her phone out of her hand pushed her in her chest area and slapped her with an open hand on the left side of her face. Police said one inch scratch was observed on her left collarbone. So we had all that information. And we had the NFL. Look into it. He was placed on the Commissioner's exempt list. All of these different things, and we had this occurring around the same time that everything with Kareem hunt occurred, another instance of alleged of excuse me, the alleged assault domestic violence, but alleged assault in that case that happened to be caught on video and video from longtime ago in the NFL or the NFL did not look into and did not interview the woman in question in that case, and that became a major point of contention in this spot was how did the NFL address an area that I don't quite frankly think it is he quipped to address but nonetheless has made itself. A part of now and must address. So we've got an update. On Reuben foster and everything going on in this case from our own Adam Schefter yesterday. Here was shefty. Joining NFL live talking about the latest with what's going on with Reuben foster. And everything going forward with him, nor does not. But Ray rice also it didn't at one point in time. Even though he was sentenced to probation. And so the NFL I think over time has come not to trust the decisions of certain legal jurisdictions the league likes to make its own decisions. And even though charges were dropped today against Reuben foster doesn't mean that the NFL will drop its investigation of him and stop looking and examining this case, it will not it will continue to look for the evidence to see if there's anything there that warrants any discipline. And even if the league determines that there's not anything there the league still can go ahead and disciplined Reuben foster if the league determines that there's enough cause for concern. The league gets to do what it wants in these cases, Keith. And we've seen the league mess up in the past. And the league not wanna do that again. Now, it'll be very careful moving forward. First and last Michael junior here on ESPN radio and the ESPN app. So what he was referring to there was. Is that the charge was dropped? Prosecutors concluded that there was insufficient. Evidence to file charges against foster after quote meticulous review of the facts of the case said is Stella gray, the director of communication for the state attorney's office in the state of Florida. So again, the misdemeanor domestic violence charge against Reuben foster was dropped because they believed there was insufficient. Evidence of what you heard Adam Schefter said there, I think the important part because listen based off what we heard in that police report, there's a part of me that is confused as to what it takes in this to bring a charge forward, and I don't know enough about the law in this area. And specifically not enough about the law in the state of Florida as a lot of the stuff is different state to state in a way that they address instances like this. But I will say what Adam Schefter said there is the most important part of this is that now the burden is on the NFL because you have painted yourself as an independent arbiter as opposed to what the law just holds up. As someone who needs to investigate this on your own because of the burden of the past. You have to do right by the process. Do I think now after hearing this news the first thing I thought was Reuben foster is going to play football game. He's probably gonna play it next season. I will not be shocked when Reuben foster shows up in a into uniform next season and play snaps for that team now because there were no charges brought against him because the charges were dropped in the court of law. That doesn't mean that the NFL can stop. Now, they've got to not only pursue this the NFL especially after what happened and this idea that we were not given a transparent enough. Look what happened with Kareem hunt. The NFL has got to show us in this process. This is what we're doing. We're going to talk to Ruben fosters ex-girlfriend Elissa NS. We are going to interview her in a way that we didn't in the Kareem hunt case back in February. We're gonna make sure that we go about this the right way, we're going to document this, and we're going to show this to the people that otherwise are going to at this point be rightly critical of the way the NFL addresses these issues, and they're going to go from there. It still doesn't stop me from thinking in my heart of hearts that. We're going to see this guy off the commissioners exemplified than on a football field again next year, but the NFL at this point has to focus more on the process and less on the outcome. Switching gears and coming up next San Antonio was more than ready for Kawais return last night. That's next year. I last on ESPN.

I'm glad I'm about. Let's see nineteen hundred miles away could be further might be over two thousand right around two grand. You think I want to say one word to you one word in holy in. Yes. This is the Plum that saved American. The boys and girls and today's episode foles versus Bisky James harden versus the warriors and the Spurs fans versus Kawai, but we begin today with fantastic new video of Antonio Brown. Not in the Steelers uniform, but in a hippo suit as he did carry oh key on the mast singer this appearance, which is taped months ago and probably moved up because of Brown's recent notoriety coincides with Sports Illustrated report that Brown's anger with the Steelers was upon hearing that his teammates had voted juju. Smith Schuster the team's most valuable player. Not Brown will how do you feel about this? If you are Brown the Steelers or teams that may be in the market for him. I would pay no attention to it it you just said I was listening closely to you Tony that this video was taken. He did that little performance whatever you wanna call that. But they show which is some some nutty singing show, which means you probably watch it you, Don. He did this last summer. So what does it have to do advance was going on? Now. I mean, did he or did he not ask for trade? I care about that. I care about what people are calling. They should assess Antonio Brown on what has happened through the moment. Not on some dopey reality singing show, which only people like you watch last summer. I haven't watched it. But now that I've seen the clip. It looks pretty good. And I know you're a pretty good singer. And if you put on a big like elephant head that'd be sort of funny. Could be the mass sports writers. Look, I don't know where people sign up for diva school, buddy. 'antonio Brown has a PHD in div at the moment. Somebody is going to give him a job that will sir him happen. And he be good for one year. And then hanging. Yes, he will be publicly angry and he will hurt his team because he's a team killer as well. As being a great talent. I find it amazing. The Steelers for many many years the best organization football. All in one fell swoop. They're gonna lose Levy on bell. They're gonna lose Antonio Broncos. You have to trade him. Now. These are these are all pro offense towns, and boom they're going to be gone gone. And you know, what this is less than a huge deal because in the NFL they replace people except maybe the franchise quarterback wall. Could you know the day they replace them? He's the tighter Chrissy game said there's not really compliment. He said, we're the car dash e ins now, they are dysfunctional. They're joke. You know, what you can do if you lose with with these guys you can lose without him. And that's what the Steelers are. Now, we got more off the feel non-playoff news domestic violence charges were dismissed as Reuben foster who was cut by the forty Niners and claim by the Redskins about six weeks ago. But that doesn't mean foster is eligible to go on the active roster, the NFL's domestic violence policy Coolidge supersede that and the NFL may find costs to keep him on the Commissioner's exempt list, which leased the only question that matters here to home, what should the NFL do about Reuben foster? Now, the NFL is not the legal system in the United States, America's a private corporation that makes its own rules and doles out its own punishment. It is allowed. To do that. Because it's you know, it's a privilege to play for them a lot of corporations to this. We don't know why the charges were dropped at the moment. It doesn't mean it pertains not at all to guilt or innocence. But my feeling is pretty simple about this. If in fact, there are no charges there unless the NFL wants to use its own investigative arm, which it has to investigate this issue. And then make a public declaration as to what it has. And what it doesn't unless they want to do that. Then I think you have to let Reuben foster go to camp with the Redskins next year. Mike, I think you do Tony..

"So it almost feels like it's especially with some of the precedent that they've had that they have enough to go ahead and suspend Reuben foster, even though the law might not do anything going forward. And I don't know who's going to say anything negative about the NFL if they do because again this has been twice now with Reuben foster, but this is the kind of slime NIST that you get even from the Washington football team where they took a chance on Reuben foster and said if he gets prosecuted for this if there are charges if he's guilty. He's gone off of our team. But secretly they are over here going like this because they've now got a first round talent in their laps because these charges were reportedly dropped. Eastern either bigger again for the rockets or the warriors. Oh, this is the producers way of telling you that the rockets warriors are playing tonight. And it's an interesting basketball game, you might want to watch because this is a ridiculous question. The idea that it would be a big game for either these teams the idea that the warriors having big game this season until the third round of the playoffs is absurd. And the rockets are now getting back to where they were before offensively. James harden is sitting here scoring forty points on eight made baskets the rockets offensively look not quite as historic as they did last year. But what James harden is presently doing makes them somebody? You wanna watch even though you don't want to watch his style of play because you don't want to watch dude. Taking free throws all game. Now. Go ahead and call it a less than ridiculous question. I don't think it's a big game for the rockets. I think like you said they're getting their rhythm back. And James harden is doing crazy things. It's a big game for rockets fans to continue to watch James on this role because he might be pushing his way to a second straight MVP and that would be insane to. Think about but for the warriors it is actually a big game. And it's not just because they've lost a few games here. They're more home games that they have at this point under Steve Kerr more games than they have at this point under Steve Kerr in the season. But if you look at that offense, it's not really being very, well, they're leaving Draymond green absolutely on an island on the top of the circle there. And they've got to figure out ways to get this team going, and it seems like DeMarcus cousins come back as just around the corner. So I know that this team in the playoffs should have everything going the way they expect it to. But it's still a process that even without boogie cousins. They haven't gotten right. So now, it's going to be interesting to watch them play against these other elite teams and see if they're still heading shoulders above let me get this straight in my mind that get rid of metal. And they get better. They get read the save me three and they get better. Yeah. There's there's a formula rather for win. That's the form. Hold on click. Cappella get ready to get straight out. The warriors harden, and they'll have them right where they want them. The pelicans buried of keeping trading day, Alvin gentry was handed this precious thing, which is this young star in development getting better. How do you figure out how to make his team better? And over the last few years all of us know that Anthony Davis is a top five player in the league. And maybe your first overall pick if you were picking from young contracts and here they are as the fourteenth best team in the west. And I think every day with every loss as the incompetence in that franchise continues to reveal itself, you will see Anthony Davis not only going from dinner dates with LeBron James when he's in Los Angeles, but helping his shadow management team that is clutch management that he just signed up with. I think it's almost inevitable that this dude ends up in Los Angeles somehow some way because it's good for everybody except the pelicans. It really is amazing to watch a player sort of loyalty and spirit deteriorate as they go along and sort of a losing pattern right because Anthony Davis if you would have asked me two years ago will he leave? "A domestic violence charge against Reuben foster has been dropped by the state attorney's office in Florida it sems from November incident between the Redskins linebacker and his former girlfriend foster remains on the Commissioner's exempt list the NFL playoffs start this Saturday. And a lot more is on the line for Dallas. And just trying to keep it season. Live quarterback Dak Prescott needs a strong showing before heading into an off season where Jerry Jones will likely decide how much he wants to pay to extend his rookie contract Prescott will be tested by the Seahawks defense that held opposing quarterbacks to a QBR of less than fifty five. Seattle also had forty three of the season their most since winning Super Bowl in two thousand thirteen Prescott in the Cowboys. We'll rely heavily on Amari Cooper since joining Dallas in week nine has six receiving touchdowns tied for the third. Most in the NFL Prescott knows what's at stake Saturday. Attention to any step, but wins and losses. So. When you say success of a quarterback or a quarterback success depending on what they do in the playoffs. Whether you're in and they make their money to be honest. Our job is to win. No matter. What happens? No matter how you play individually. Now, it's back to I take. I only got a rematch of week. Three were the Seahawks beat the Cowboys twenty four to thirteen. He's equal Elliott rush. Sixteen times for one hundred twenty seven yards but Dak Prescott was sold to a season low seventeen point eight total QBR so Maxell star with you who is the most important for the boys this weekend Dag Zeke or the Cowboys Stevens Ezekiel Elliott as soon as they handed him the ball made him the focal point of the offense. The cowboy season turned around and they wound up in the playoffs. And I would rank Zeki Elliott. If all running backs are healthy and playing I'd probably rank them around fourth in the league saquon Barkley already. Yes. Everybody Todd Gurley went healthy, levian bell. And then Zeke you'll Elliott but those remaining running backs in the playoffs. He's the best guy that include chimera at everybody. I think overall he's a great player in his prime carrying the offense of a team that does rely on defense. And of course, a game managing kind of quarterback who can be big on third down. But in that situation. The great running back is the one that's going to drive the offense control the clock and be the most important player. For me. It's Dak Prescott. It was only week three. He went up against Seattle and Zeki leli still had I think it was about one hundred twenty seven yards in about sixteen carries. He was doing what he's going to do. And we know that I think it's one of those situations where Seattle won that game. Twenty four thirteen win against Dak Prescott. They try to stack the line of scrimmage on most occasions and did that Prescott to beat the maximum. He couldn't do it nineteen thirty four completions..

Kareem Hunt apologizes, says NFL never interviewed him about assault
"You know, it's been a tough time for man. I'm extremely embarrassed. Because of that video I last Michael junior here on ESPN radio and the ESPN app, the videos disgusting, like we I hope we it's being spoon fed to us. This is disgusting. And this is the unfortunate part is it always seems like we need a video to believe these kind of acts are possible in these situations that the burden of proof always seems to be that high. So there's that which we can help with all of this begins and ends with Kareem hunt did an awful thing. And then we are led to believe in the chiefs came out and said Kareem was not truthful to us about the nature of these events back when they interviewed him after this incident. And so the chiefs said this video constitutes new information to us were making this decision. He wasn't truthful with us we can't condone this. He's gone. And a lot of people said that feels reactionary now I wanna play to bits of sound for you from Sunday NFL countdown yesterday. This is Louis Riddick are ESPN NFL front office insider talking about why he believes just including the lies that Kareem hunt was released by the Kansas City Chiefs in that interview, rather it just doesn't come off. Right. It doesn't come off as cream really grasping. Exactly. What is going on here? And how explosive this situation isn't how important the situation is. And he really let the kids see cheese. No choice. I don't believe that. She's just cut because there was no video. I believe it was because they really just didn't know exactly what had happened. And he they asked him what happened. And they and he's still did not know rather didn't come forth. This becomes the confusing part here is because the chiefs interviewed him within the NFL takes over this investigation. And it's league protocol where if the league starts an investigation the team will stop investigating and let the league take over. And I assume that just in a general sense seems to be trying to avoid a conflict of interest that makes sense in my mind, but the question. And then can be asked if the league didn't interview him and the chiefs couldn't get a hold of this video a lot of people are going to ask the question. I don't think it's unfair to ask if the NFL or the chiefs didn't know how much did they really want to because it seems like now this came up, and it's it's very reactionary doesn't seem like a lot of this process was proactive, and I was talking to our ESPN senior writer me at times yesterday. And the point got brought up that this in part could be due to the way things went for the NFL when they dealt with the Ezekiel Elliott case in the suspension surrounding that. And how so many people thought they were overstepping their bounds with Ezekiel Elliott based on the amount of evidence. They had their disposal. And so if you're the NFL you've got that swing of the pendulum after it was the complete other way with Ray rice and with Greg hardy and with Josh Brown. And with all these players were people in think you didn't nearly enough. And so that's the other part of the Sam ponders the host of Sunday. NFL countdown spoke about the message this sense from the NFL going forward message. Hopefully that we're going to start sending two women and two men who care in this country is that it doesn't matter. If you love the NFL in rushing last year, it doesn't matter if you're on all our billboards, or whenever you put your hands on a woman, we're done, and I hope the NFL can make that a little more clear the investigation process than they did this time I last year on ESPN radio and the ESPN app, and I thought Sam did a good job of resetting that conversation coming off of Koreans interview. Because there is a lot of we sit around, and we judge the interview, and we judge the suspension links, and we judge all these things I always wonder how productive they are. Because again, it's easy for us all to get up here. And obviously talk about how disgusting this is to see it on tape and how wrong it is. We all know that. We're not dumb. But then we get Jasper Lucas tweets is in cream hunted that interview because he's trying to line up another opportunity with another team. He's still lying. He hasn't shown remorse, and if I'm an NFL GM, I wanna see him out of football for at least a year during which he's doing domestic violence related community service, etc. That's the other thing is I don't think any of us know how to handle this. And we don't listen to enough of the right people in this because I sat and I thought man what's the length of the suspension going to be like for Reuben foster cream haunted. How far will that go for the league? And again, you can address PR in that way. But when you're trying to address the heart of the issue the way so many people in the NFL claim to want to do what do you do outside of just signaling to fans because this is a guy Kareem hunt is going to be back on an NFL football field. So in the meantime, what do you do to make sure that he comes back better? What do you actually do? That's becomes the part. That's infinitely more important. Here's how do we protect the victims in this? And how do we make sure that if these guys are going to because of their football town, we know end up back on the field. How do we? Ensuring if you're the NFL, how do you go and actually live up to some of the things that you're talking about as far as player development and ensure that these guys if they're going to be back come back better and not just come back punished in a way that's going to satiate the mob outside of your door. It's a it's an extremely complicated issue one that won't have any resolution now, but one that will certainly get into more later coming up on golden window as well. We'll switch gears completely getting back to the world of sports and get to the one staff that caught me completely off guard this morning, that's next. It's first and last here on ESPN radio the
Kareem Hunt says NFL never interviewed him about assault
"Past week something else has happened guy by the name of Ruben foster who had a run in before with the law and domestic violence had. He had another one just days after appearing in an orange jail jumpsuit accused again of domestic violence, the Washington Redskins are offering to put Reuben foster in a burgundy and gold NFL uniform the young linebacker who is face game suspensions and a weapons charge was released by the forty Niners after this latest incident. Yes, yet another incident he's released he's released because of what he did to his ex slash girlfriend. Eric. Trip. My phone number. Let me and my face claiming foster is a controversial move for the Redskins as police and the NFL investigate. He can't play for now. Yeah. But he's got talent. And he's twenty four he can get to the quarterback. The other one could score. Will you walk a fine line? It doesn't look good for the NFL cream hunts knocking to play the rest of this year. He's not. The Reuben foster thing is an interesting thing. It's an ugly. Look for the NFL that somebody claimed him off waivers. You know, why they did that first of all these twenty four. Secondly, the woman who is accusing him has already been caught lying once before when she accused him before. And here's where bad judgment comes in. If somebody accuses you of something awful, potentially destroys your life and your livelihood. And you choose to go back to them that shows that you have poor judgment. There's no guarantees ever gonna play her gas with you. I mean, he's that a lot of work to do personally with the team with the NFL with himself before even thinks about playing football. Again, the NFL's got a lot of thinking to do. But I think we all know this. If you have talent you're going to get far more chances than somebody who is essentially done. Thirty year old Ray rice, wasn't Twenty-three-year-old Ray rice. So he was no use to anybody. He probably at a year or two left Twenty-three-year-old Kareem hunt potential MVP in the prime of his career twenty four year old Ruben. Foster can get to the quarterback. A lot of thinking to do NFL. You got a lot of thinking to do. But it shows you in a lot of ways. It's a business
Redskins pick up linebacker days after domestic violence arrest
"Was a linebacker for the San Francisco forty Niners. You got into trouble over the weekend on domestic violence charges down in Tampa. And from there the Washington Redskins have determined. They were going to sign him at he was released by said forty Niners more on the story now. Brian Clark ABC news. That's just a quick synopsis. I have what are the details. Now, we'll Tony Reuben foster very talented linebacker from Alabama as you said he had top ten talent going into the twenty seventeen draft but fell because of all feel concerned he was the forty Niners essentially took a chance on them thirty first overall than last off season he was arrested on felony domestic violence charges. His accuser, then recanted said he made the story up. He was also accused of having an assault. Rifle. So he was put on probation. He can't own guns. But then just this weekend with the forty Niners in Tampa hours before a game against the buccaneers. He's arrested at the team hotel for an alleged misdemeanor incident involving that same woman. So the forty Niners announced Sunday morning they were going to cut him Monday. And then Tuesday the Redskins scooped him up and signed him. Well, that's got to be a PR nightmare for the Redskins. But it appears the Jay Gruden the coach of the Redskins in the team ownership doesn't really care about that. Well point though, Tony because Jay Gruden met the media yesterday. But the team ownership Daniel Snyder the president Bruce Allin day didn't they're nowhere to be found. They have not spoken publicly about this. Doug Williams, the director of player personnel for the team. He released a statement saying we talked to some of Rubens teammates from Alabama who are on the Redskins, and they were supportive of this. But two of them have said, no, they didn't ask us anything about Ruben foster. So there are some questions about the what the ownership has to say about this. But that's where the coach Jay Gruden did speak yesterday. He took a. Kind of a cautious approach. We said look there's a lot that has to take place before he plays for us. There's the legal system has to play out the NFL disciplined system and there's the Redskins policy right now. He's on the exempt list. The commissioners exemplify that means he cannot practice or play with the team, but he can attend meetings. Well, of course, there's been some issues with the NFL and players who have had domestic violence issues and this all culminated in policy changes by the NFL. So where's the league now? And this the Commissioner's exempt list is really the main the most recent change we've seen we saw that in response in high profile incident a few years ago where it's sort of a grey area where it's not a player being suspended. It's essentially a a, wink wink suspension where they can't play they can't practice, but they're not officially formerly suspended. It's essentially letting the process play out. So that's where the NFL mainly is right now the league does have a policy, obviously, a zero tolerance policy for domestic violence. So there will be. Disciplined from the Commissioner's office if this is proven to be true. But yeah, it has been an ongoing. Story for the NFL ongoing story really in society, and it's not a good one.

First pick foster who's twenty four was arrested at nine ten local time Saturday and booked in the county jail eleven eleven he was arrested rather he was released Sunday afternoon on a two thousand dollars bail Reuben foster that is the conversation. Now, let me dig a little deeper here. The reason why I'm telling you this story about Reuben foster. Is because the woman that is that I talked about here. Miss NS quantum Josina. Emerson this is not necessarily his girlfriend or his wife is just someone that he's been involved with. That's number one. Number two. Is that the first time around? She did not press charges. I just read to you that she decided that no this was a domestic incident. But she said, no she regained her allegations that foster at hitter and then foster pleaded no contest to the weapons charge. And now this happens again. You said what I just told you that knocked the phone out of her hand she's talking about some kind of violence is happened to a push in her chest slapped her with open hand on left cyber face. Police said that one inch scratch was observed on the women's left collarbone. Okay. So that's that's the
