The 5 Memphis police officers fired in connection with the death of Tyree Nichols after a traffic stop now faced murder and other charges as district attorney Steve moroi. The world is watching us and we need to show the world what lessons we can learn from this tragedy. Die's body cam footage of Nichols arrest will be released tomorrow. The man from Uzbekistan who drove a rented truck down a New York City bike path in an ISIS inspired terrorist attack, killing 8 people has been convicted today by a federal court jury of murder and terrorism charges. Noting a slightly better than expected report on the gross domestic product to some total worth of goods and services in the U.S., President Biden warning union workers in Springfield, Virginia that some Republicans are pushing for a 30% national sales tax. The reason they want to do that, they want to eliminate the income tax system because guess what? That's the only way that millionaires and billionaires have to pay any taxes. Adam Schiffmakes TikTok Rant

"Adam Schiff after having been banned by speaker Kevin McCarthy as his prerogative to do on any select committee, it's up to the whim of the speaker to decide who gets to sit and not sit on select committees until being one of them. It partially responds to what Nancy Pelosi did with the J 6 committee booting off Jim banks and booting off Jim Jordan and placing people that she wanted as the acceptable conservatives, acceptable Republicans, breaking all historical norms, breaking all of the history of the house where the minority did not get a chance to put who they wanted on the select committee. No, we are in unprecedented times if you listen to legacy media. We are an unprecedented times if you watched the three amigos press conference yesterday. The three amigos being the aforementioned Adam Schiff, Eric, honeypot swalwell, and Ilhan Omar representative Omar, who has been bounced off of armed services. And the three of them held a press conference, but then Adam Schiff took it to a whole nether level. He was like Emeril, he kept kicked it up a notch. He took to TikTok. Yes, the app that we're trying to ban in this country because it is basically a spy apparatus of the CCP. The communist Chinese government.

"All right, Charlie, we thank you. The move to ban TikTok here in Washington is gaining momentum. At least on Capitol Hill, as Republican senator Josh hawley introduces legislation to prohibit the app on all devices nationwide. And a similar measure as Bloomberg reports is now cooking in the house, seizing on concerns about the way the Chinese owned app handles our personal data, so by a company called ByteDance we've talked about it, many times here. But this move is not new. In fact, springs from an effort last year to ban TikTok on government devices, the congressman from South Dakota, Republican dusty Johnson helped to rife a legislation that became law. Well, the name of the bill is block the talk. Now I know some of your viewers are curious. They just assume some cranky old man who wants to take away their TikTok. And there are some prominent voices out in the public square like a federal communications commissioner, Brennan Carr, who would advocate for just that, say, hey, we should not have this app. This app is such a national security threat that it shouldn't even be available on some of the purchasing platforms. That was congressman Johnson talking with a starting point back in September when this whole idea took hold, and he's with us right now, fresh off votes on the House floor. Congressman dusty Johnson, welcome back to Bloomberg, we appreciate the time. So I have to ask you after what you just said. Are you just a cranky old man? Well, I am a bit of a cranky old man. You're not that old. I feel a lot better about the fact that we got our bill passed in December. Now we have, as we speak, we continue to have a TikTok told off government devices. They should never have been on those gosh darn used to begin with. And I would just note for your listeners. I mean, this is not, this is not some idle threat. I'm not how one at the moon here. TikTok has been fined a $100 million by our government for privacy concerns. We have employee whistleblowers. From within the company that have told us that China, the Chinese Communist Party, quote, sees everything. All of the data people are using and uploading on that app. This thing is a real problem. I can't get my kid off TikTok. Is there a file on my kid in Beijing? There is absolutely a file on your kid that TikTok and almost certainly ByteDance and almost certainly the Chinese government have. I know people think TikTok is just about fun dance videos. But the reality is that this thing has been designed as a Trojan horse to be able to scrape up wild amounts of American information. And I think that's why you saw the move to ban TikTok from government devices as such a broad based bipartisan push. I was just named to the select committee on China. This is also going to be a broad based bipartisan move because the threat from the Chinese Communist Party is multi dimensional and it's not going away. You're concerned about data collection. Are you also concerned about the algorithm? Because we don't exactly know how this thing works or just how exactly they have managed to create such an addictive product congressman. It is really interesting that you bring that up because that is a developing part of the story as people have monitored the feeds that young people in China get from their version of TikTok. And the content that the American children get from their feeds of TikTok is wildly different. The Chinese kids are getting productive, supportive, educational content, the Americans are getting garbage. The Chinese are trying to do what they can to slow down America while they're speeding up their own country. You mentioned in that interview, and by the way, the director of the FBI, Chris ray mentioned that one of the one of the FCC commissioners is actually behind this as well. If there's a concerted effort in the house support in both chambers, actually the Senate now as well. You've got the FCC on board, will there be a national ban? Would you support that? I want to get a little more information before I support a national ban. I'm a freedom guy. I've taken TikTok off my phone. I don't think anyone should have it on their own phone. But before I start telling people that they don't have that control over their own phone, I want to make sure that this is indeed a legitimate national security threat that imposes such a problem that we need to take that kind of action. But China committee is going to be talking about things like that starting very, very soon. There's breaking news congressman that I have to ask you about and you probably saw this coming. Bloomberg is reporting that House Republican leaders are considering now extending the debt limit to September 30. And it's a way for me to ask you about this because it's obviously been a very big deal, something that President Biden spoke about today in Northern Virginia. There are actually threatening to have us default on the American debt. And the debt that's been accumulated over 230 years, okay? And the interest on that that we've never, ever done that. So we have a tour of which we talk a question. What in God's name with the Americans give up the progress we've made for the chaos they're suggested. I don't know if you want to attempt to answer the president here, but does buying time through the

"The rule of the day we were in a meeting room with me and my team and we were talking about not everybody on the team, but just my marketing guy and the warehouse manager, we were talking about the goals of the company, the mission and vision of the company. And one thing that stood out in every single vision mission statement and also our goals is that you have to put God first. With everything we put guy first. I tell everybody that worked for me. When you gotta put guy first and whatever you do, how do you think you got this job right now? It's because of God. It ain't because of be Tatum. I would love to take out a credit and say, I'm so great and I'm so amazing. That's why I have enough money to pay your salary and pay out your 100% benefits and all this other stuff. No, it ain't me. It's because God is blessed me to get to this point for me to bless other people. See, this is the thing about success. And I'm going to go on and tell y'all about the news because I got a lot to talk about. But here's the thing about success. You got to understand where your source comes from. The reason that people get in trouble and they begin to fail in life because they forget where the foundation is. They go off and God give them all these blessings and they run off and act like they ain't done nothing for them. You can not do that and be successful in this day and age in my personal opinion. And then success is not just money in the bank. Success is a healthy life, healthy relationships, a peace of mind. All of those things are related to success. It's not just money. There's a whole bunch of people to whole lot of money that's attempting to commit suicide.

"I just want to finish the conversation about that woman that non binary woman who is introducing this concept to children at the school. It's interesting that her and the other sloppy women on that panel decided to say that, oh, that was funny how the kid just came up with the concept on his own. No, it's not. The lady for those of you who listen on the radio and you can't see the visual, the lady is holding a black doll and got him dressed up in a very confusing manner and presented him to children and said, if you ask him, and I'm paraphrasing, if he's a boy or girl, he said, I'm not neither of them. Or I don't know. And then some other parent who's woken awoke, teaching her kid about non binary. And that's why the kid comes up with it. The first kid said, they can be boiled girl. You confuse you confusing to live in daylight out of these kids. And to some people, that's totally fine. It makes total sense for you to put a kid out in a position like that. For you to go and come up with these concepts that adults are coming up with. Kids are not organically talking about non binary. They don't even know how they don't even know what that means. That's not a concept or a word that a kid will come up with. It's adults that are doing this.

Fresh update on "republicans." discussed on CNN Political Briefing

"That was House speaker Kevin McCarthy on the day he was elected speaker and his promise to the American people. So how do Americans think this new Republican majority is doing in Congress? We've got an early report card. Nearly three quarters of Americans think that the House Republican leaders haven't been paying enough attention to the country's most important issues that they don't have their priorities right. That's according to a brand new CNN poll conducted by SSRS released just today. And here is what's really interesting inside these numbers. Republicans are quite split on this notion. So we took a look at Republicans and Republican leaning independents, and we see in this question when we ask them about whether or not the Republican leaders in Congress have the right priorities, 53% of those Republicans and Republican leaning independents say yes. But nearly half 46% say no. So this sort of initial report card, if you will, on Kevin McCarthy's new Republican majority and his leadership is one that spells out from McCarthy quite clearly that he has work to do. He has work to do both inside the Republican Party and then he has the work of repairing the Republican Party's brand with the larger swath of Americans as the party seeks to position itself to oust Joe Biden from The White House and enlarge in its majority in the House and win control of the U.S. Senate. So how to go about doing that? Well, you would imagine if you're a leader of the new majority party in the House, you would take a look at what is on American's minds. What are some of their most pressing issues and go forward to address that? In this new CNN poll, we asked an open ended question. We didn't offer a list of issues. We just asked Americans what issue is most important to them? And overwhelmingly, 48% said, economic issues, particularly related to the effects of inflation, housing, food and gas prices. No other issue really came close. Next up on the list was immigration at 11% followed by gun violence and crime, government spending in taxes and political divisions or extremism. So economy clearly issue number one. And even though the respondents in this poll suggest that the Republican leaders in Congress don't have the right priorities or that they don't approve of the job of how the Republican leaders are handling their jobs. But despite all that, the country, according to this poll, is poised for Kevin McCarthy to sort of drive the train. 60% of Americans in this poll expect the Republicans in Congress to have more influence than president Joe Biden in terms of the direction the nation takes in the next two years. So at the moment, clearly Kevin McCarthy has some repair work to do, but the country is looking with the belief that this new Republican majority is going to be in the driver's seat of influence and impact on the direction of the nation in these next two years. Far more so than the 37% who say Biden, the sitting president, who may be announcing his reelection campaign in just weeks, has in this poll. And yet, out of the gate, what does McCarthy doing? Well, remember, he put up pro life legislation, anti abortion legislation out of the gate in his first week as speaker clearly a play to the Republican base. He is setting up this select subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government and moving forward with all kinds of investigations into the Biden administration. On Wednesday, McCarthy denied democratic congressman Eric swalwell and Adam Schiff of their seats on the House intelligence committee, the prerogative of the speaker and one he had indicated four months that he was going to take advantage of. He sent a letter to House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries, indicating his intentions, and this is what he said ahead of sending that letter. This is not anything political. This is not similar to what the Democrats did. Those members will have other committees, but the Intel committee is different. But integrity matters, and they have failed in that place from Adam Schiff using a position of the Intel chair lying to the American public, Eric swalwell would be in the private sector and can't get a security clearance there. We are not going to provide him with the secrets to America. The reasoning from McCarthy's camp here for this action as it relates to swalwell is McCarthy's belief that his association with an alleged Chinese spy makes him untrustworthy, therefore his integrity is not at the level it needs to be at from McCarthy's perspective to serve on the House intelligence committee. Now, swalwell has said for years that he cooperated with the FBI and that he never shared any sensitive information. In terms of kicking shift off the Intel committee, that's pretty clear that he does not believe Schiff properly dealt with the Steele dossier, the Russian interference in the 2016 campaign. This is all part of what Donald Trump refers to as sort of the Russia hoax and he sees Schiff as the very central figure in perpetuating that. McCarthy is also eager to kick democratic congresswoman Ilhan Omar off the House foreign affairs committee. That's a standing committee that will need to go before the entire House of Representatives on the floor for a vote that is not just the speaker's prerogative, at least one Republican so far, Nancy mace has told CNN she's unlikely to vote to deny Omar the spot on the committee. Remember, Kevin McCarthy can only lose a total of four votes with his narrow majority, and congresswoman Victoria spartz told MSNBC on Wednesday that she would not vote to remove any member from a committee without due process. I want to defend the due process of this institution because we become like a theater full of actors in the circus and this unacceptable. We have to govern for the people and it's not happening here. Here was Adam Schiff yesterday, pushing back on McCarthy on what he believes is a clear sign of hypocrisy. The hypocrisy just grabs you by the throat. This is a Republican speaker who is seeding a human fraud, George Santos on committees, a serial fabricator about every part of his existence. Of course, when the former chairman of the House intelligence committee gets booted off the committee, it frees him up for other work, and Adam Schiff, who has long been eyeing a run for the United States Senate seat in California that is expected to be opened up by an anticipated retirement from dianne Feinstein though that hasn't come yet. Today, just after all these actions on the hill, Adam Schiff, announced, his run for the U.S. Senate. Now remember, this is not just a Republican problem in terms of how the American people view Congress broadly. And when we asked about how people approve or disapprove of the job, democratic leaders are doing in Congress, 59% of Americans in this poll disapprove. It's just that Republicans are at 67% disapproval, so they've got a steeper climb back than the Democrats to be in the American people's good graces, at least according to this latest poll, check it all out at CNN dot com.

Donald Trump Allowed Back on Facebook and Instagram

"Ladies and gentlemen Gemma ladies, welcome back to the oxidative show, the big question is what Donald Trump get back on Facebook and Instagram? Let me tell you this, he better, if he thinks he's going to have a chance to win as the president of the United States of America, he needs to get into the conversation on social media. I really do believe so. And if he does, I'll tell you this. Him doing this will help or hurt him. One of the two things will happen to him. It's either going to help him. Or he's going to be hurt over it. Because if you get on air and he does well and he's presidential and he gains the minds and hearts of people all over the country, he will win. If he get on there bashing and talking about desantis and then that's going to be a nail in the coffin. For Donald Trump. So I'm hoping that he gets back on Facebook and Instagram and post I mean, I love to see some of his stuff come up and he'll be able to write some wrongs. And I'm not saying wrongs that he did. I'm saying wrongs that they claim he did. He'll be able to set the record straight because they said all kinds of stuff about Donald Trump. about it. And 99% of it was bullcrap. But he'll be able to fight against those things as they occur and be ready and prepared for the election. I would argue that social media was one of the main reasons how Donald Trump ended up getting elected and not one of the main reasons in that atmosphere. How he was able to get elected because he was able to put out the truth, why everybody else lying, he was telling the unadulterated truth to the people. And I think that was absolutely amazing.

It's proof his economic plan is working, but he warned it could come crashing down if Republicans have their way. We're moving to the right direction. Now we've got to protect those gains. We've got to protect those gains that our policies have generated. Protect them from the mega Republicans in the House representatives who are threatening to destroy this progress. Look, you know, this ain't your father's Republican Party. This is a different breed of cat as they say. A lot of eco data, what's your takeaway? So we got GDP results for the fourth quarter today, and the report is way weaker than the headline number is telling you. We got an upside surprise as we watched our Bloomberg terminals, but if you start with 9% was the over quarter of a quarter number and 2.6% was what we were looking for. Right. But they're both a slowdown from 3.2% in the previous quarter. Which is fine, but it's still solid growth if you just look at the headline number. But if you look beneath the surface, you will see that a lot of this is driven by unwanted accumulation in inventories. And this was David Kelly was telling us. And a decline in imports. And a combination of these two is telling you that demand consumer demand is slowing down. Business demand is slowing down. GDP was not the only report we received today. If you look at durable goods report, you will see that shipments core good shipments are falling as well. So that is not a good number, the durable goods. The headline number was the headline. I'm a headline guy. That's all I am. I took two semesters back on. That's why you got you. Yeah, the headline number is driven by orders of aircraft. But if you look at broader picture, so beneath the surface again, so you see a significant deceleration in consumer and business demand going forward. Putting the Focus on the Human Race

"Two things I want to talk about. One is that a Donald Trump is now allowed to get back on to Facebook, Instagram, and I want to see if Donald Trump will actually utilize those things. Before I talk about Donald Trump at Facebook and Instagram, I want to wrap up what I said in the last segment. I hope that it came across properly because in my mind it makes total sense, but I don't know if what I said projected the sense that it makes in my mind. All I'm saying is that we should focus on unity. We should focus on being the human race. We should not be focusing on all these little clicks and groups that we put ourselves in because then that makes people look at each other and hate each other for no reason. You are not necessarily a sum of decisions that you make. And I hope that that range true to people who are Christians, you are not the sum of your past decisions. Because every decision that you have made up until this point, while you're currently listening to me, we're past decisions. And those decisions can be washed clean by the blood of Jesus Christ. So who you are and what you do, what you have done are two different things. And I like to separate the person from the action. So I'm saying that to say, stop pigeonholing yourself saying, I'm gay, or I'm black, or I'm Asian. I'm this. I'm that. Just be a good person.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is very clear, people that have are of this type of mentality, they believe wholeheartedly that Aretha Franklin song is damaging because it uses the word natural woman. They were fighting against that idea. This is no different than other things that the LGBTQ community does. Not the people who are gay trans, but the community, the LGBTQ. I know a lot of people who are gay, they're not a part of the LGBTQ community. They don't have pronouns in their bio. They just live their lives. Like normal people. But these individuals are radicalized. They consider women to be cis gender. Mean assigned at birth or whatever they call it. They are discriminating against natural women. They are discriminated against biological women. Because they want to be treated as women. They want you to accept that one minute they got some swinging, and then the next minute, all of a sudden, they can be a woman because they put a dress on. And they took it under. "I gotta give you some update news on the Aretha Franklin shenanigans from the other day. Now the activist group is claiming that their page and their Twitter account is a satire account, meaning that the things that they originally said about taking down Aretha Franklin's song, a natural woman, was just a joke. We were just playing. But let me tell you something that's very interesting. Because this particular group, which is the trans cultural mindfulness alliance, had a Twitter account that did not have in their bio that they were a parody satire account. It did not have that detail in there. Now after they've gotten backlash now, all of a sudden they've updated their bio to now say parody and satire. Ladies and gentlemen, think about this for a minute. Trans, cultural, mindfulness, alliance. Transcultural mindfulness, mindfulness, alliance. This particular organization said these particular tweets and you tell me was this something that was satire or is this something a lining with their missing and it just backfired? In quote, instead of Aretha Franklin's 1968 song, natural woman perpetuates multiple harmful anti trans stereotypes, there is no such thing as a natural woman, is what it said. And it also continues to say the song has helped inspire acts of harm against transgender women, TC, MA is requesting its removed, its removed from Spotify and Apple music.

Well, Todd, good day to you as well and good day to America because Republicans are finally in charge of one of the branches of the legislature and there can be some accountability. So look, secretary mayorkas has made the case for impeachment himself. He's not only flouting the law, just ignoring it, but he's actively he's actively objecting to the law and refusing to follow it and imperiling the citizens of the United States of America. We each take an oath to uphold and defend the constitution of the United States, not the constitution of Mexico or Guatemala or Columbia or Venezuela. We all want to help Todd. Everybody wants to help these people in need, but the way to help them, the people in need is not by stomping on the face of the people that you serve. And the people that we serve pay the taxes, it's their schools that are in peril. It's their streets. It's their hospitals. It's their paycheck and their wallet that's in peril and our duty is first to them. And so with all due respect, secretary mayorkas has presided over record after record of illegal crossings into the United States of America, not the least of which is Chinese made fentanyl coming in and killing American citizens more double every year than what we lost in 20 years in combat in Vietnam. Now many people don't see an issue, maybe they don't maybe it's not come to their hometown or their family, but by the time it does, unfortunately, it's deadly serious and we have a duty to make sure that we preserve the tranquility, the domestic tranquility that the people in America have a right given them to them by God to enjoy. "But one of the most disturbing angles a former FBI agent reached out to me yesterday disgusted by this whole indictment as FBI guy who's alleged to have taken money again from overseas folks To get people arrested and locked up here and to get other people to do basically political things here right Those are the allegations He was so disgusted by the piece But the part that bothered him the most and I didn't get to dig into yesterday too much because the story was so big and broad I had to kind of just move through it rather fast There are people in D.C. if you read this Washington examiner piece by Tom Rogan from 2022 that have been really concerned about why Joe Biden who is our the Americas effectively CEO our chief diplomat It's at the Secretary of State Joe Biden ultimately is going to be the one doing the negotiations for something serious There are people in D.C. who've been really curious as to why Joe Biden has done nothing about the Albanian prime minister who quote according to Tom Rogan and the Washington examiner appears to be involved in a narco trafficking conspiracy involving the Sinaloa Cartel The cartel responsible for the largest share of narcotic smuggling into the United States And Rogan notes and for whatever reason the Biden administration does not appear terribly bothered by this Now this made it into the Washington examiner in September of 2022 A good outlet It's not a liberal hack outlet They're kind of like census Republican outlet right So Tom Rogan had no agenda for this piece He's writing it because he's legitimately curious like hey we've got a major fentanyl drug trafficking crisis going on in our southern border There's apparently some nexus to the prime minister of Albania at least according to this piece supporting the Sinaloa Cartel which is running a lot of these drugs Why does Biden again claims to want to do something about the border and the drug problem Why is he doing Jack squat and Jack left town I don't get it What's the deal here

"Let me look at some of the reaches. I think we can win Wisconsin with a good presidential ticket. I think we can. But you got to go get somebody to run and Gallagher's not going to do it because he's running this committee on China. I think, you know, Maryland is a long shot if Ben carton runs. It's possible that people are tired of 80 year old senators. What do you think? Are there some long shots? What about Virginia and with some Sears? Tim kaine is like the blandest man. Nice guy, but he's the blandest man in America. When some Sears is the opposite of that, what do you think? Right. Well, you've named, by the way, some great potential candidates, but I think if you look at the presidential battleground states in 2024, there's 5. You look at out west, of course, Arizona and Nevada are going to be battleground states that Biden narrowly won in 2020. Then you've got Wisconsin, as you mentioned, you've got Pennsylvania and Michigan. There's an open state in Michigan Cassandra staben announced her retirement. Those are all states with the right candidate. We can win in a presidential battleground type year. So I think 24 is shaping up to be a very good year for Republicans. Now, we thought we had a better outcome coming in 22. I understand this woman. I hate to see what happened. But I really, and there's reasons to be just quantifiably optimistic right now in 24, looking at the map. However, you can't fall in love with that map as we talked about because we're running a formidable Democrat to understand how to win in a red state. Well,

Republicans Aim High for 2024

"Senator, this is controversial when I'm about to ask you, I don't expect a complete answer yet. I want the NRSC to play in primaries. Not all of them. I want them to support, for example, Jim banks and try and keep that field clear so we don't waste money on a seat that's easy for Jim banks to win in Indiana. Montana, you've got two congressmen, they're both friends of yours, Ryan zinke, and Matt rosendale. I don't know if you can do that in Montana. In West Virginia, you're going to have like 20 candidates. What is the NRC's position going to be about participating early in identifying a candidate who is the strongest candidate who can win and funding them before the primary vote? Yeah. Well here, if there's something that we learned from the 22 cycle, is that we've got to get candidates that can win a primary, but importantly can win a general election. I am tired of losing. And at the end of the day, winners make policy and losers go home. We've got to find candidates that not only can win primaries, but can win general elections. So it's still very early, but it's not lost on us that we will do whatever it takes to win to make sure that in 24 we have a Republican majority. Here's why as well. If you look a little bit longer term, look to the end of the decade, if you look at the 24 cycle, the 26 cycle and the 28 cycle. In 2024, as I mentioned earlier, we have three Democrats up in red states. Those are great pickup opportunities. But you look at 26, there are zero. You look at 28, there are zero. Few, we either deliver a majority in 24 or we could see the United States Senate with an enduring minority as Republicans for the rest of the decade, the stakes could not be higher. It's very important we win general election.

Who Is Watching the Eyes of the CCP?

"You received an invitation or you asked for an invitation to speak to the Republican governors associated to the national governors association. NGA. And they said, huh? And you showed up and you told them that each of them had been classified by the Chinese government, that got their attention. When you tell the audience a little bit about that story, which they've got to read in full to appreciate, but the CCP has a file on every governor and they are classified. So I had seen hints of this when I was a CA director, but I became Secretary of State. I was able to see it more clearly. And I was able to get this document declassified. It was written nominally by a Chinese think tank. But what they've done at the direction of the Chinese Communist Party was to continue to evaluate all 50 governors of the United States of America. And they would rank them. Friend foe or were working on them. And by the time I got it to classify, I'd also noted that there was a meeting in Washington, D.C., where all the governors would be. And so I called governor Hogan and then governor of New York, Cuomo, and asked for 20 minutes. They gave me 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty sleepy day. But when I began to lay out for them the fact that the Chinese Communist Party was watching them, observing them, running influence operations against them and had measured them, had raided them, essentially said, do we have them in our pocket yet or not, boy, I had their attention. They all, they all turned immediately to their devices or to their chiefs of staff and says, hey, I got to have a copy of that. I got to know where I am. And I wanted them to just be a little taken back, but mostly I wanted to remind them that this isn't just an attack on our federal government. It is at every level of our government today that the Chinese Communist Party is conducting its assault against our freedoms.

Mike Pompeo: DOJ Should Treat Everyone Equally

"The huge breaking news this week has been the discovery of classified documents in the homes of now Mike Pence, Joe Biden, Donald Trump. A lot of people are recognizing the disparity between the DoJ's response to president Trump and Mar-a-Lago and President Biden and now vice president Pence. It seems to me that the one person who benefits greatly from all of these breaking headlines is former president Trump because for most Americans, they're going to say, well, now it's kind of a non issue. It's a bipartisan issue. It's not just a Trump factor. It's not just his problem. And so let's turn the page on that controversy and I think Americans are reminded of the very distinctly different way our government responded to Trump's classified documents and Biden and Pence. Is that fair or do you think I'm overstating that? Well, you know, I don't want to do the politics so much. But your point about the inequity, the unequal treatment that was given is absolutely certain. I hearken back to. I served on them in ghazi committee, Mike. It seems like, seems like a long time ago. When we found classified information on secretary Clinton's server on her handheld on her BlackBerry device, I remember this incredibly well. FBI didn't rate her home justice department didn't go after her. Look, classified information matters. Everyone who handles it has to treat it appropriately. If you get it wrong, if you make a mistake, admit it, get the document backwards supposed to be. Don't bring politics in this treat. Everyone evenly. Not only Republicans, Democrats, but treat equally senior officials and private force class in the United States Army who mishandled documents. We get that right. We treat this stuff seriously. We can protect America's secrets, which at the end Mike is what this is really all about.

Kevin McCarthy Tussles With Reporter Over Intel Committee Removals

"What did Adam Schiff do at the chairman of the Intel committee? What Adam Schiff did, use his power as a chairman and lie to the American public, even the inspector general said it. When Devin Nunes put out a memo, he said it was false. When we had a laptop, he used it before an election to be politics and say that it was false and said it was the Russians. When he knew different, when he knew the Intel, if you talked to John Radcliffe, DNI, he came out ahead of time and says there's no Intel to prove that. And he used his position as chairman, knowing he has information, the rest of America does not, and lied to the American public. When a whistleblower came forward, he said he did not know the individual, even though his staff had met with him and set it up. So no, he does not have a right to sit on that. But I will not be like Democrats and play politics with these, where they removed Republicans from committees and all committees. So yes, he can serve on a committee, but he will not serve on Intel, because it goes to the national security of America. And I will always put them first, all right? And if you want to talk about swalwell, let's talk about swalwell, because you have not had the briefing that I had. I had the briefing of Nancy Pelosi had the briefing from the FBI. The FBI never came before this Congress to tell the leadership of this Congress that Eric swalwell had a problem with the Chinese spy until he served on Intel. So it wasn't just us who were concerned about. The FBI was concerned about putting a member of Congress on the Intel committee that has the rights to see things that others don't, because of his knowledge and relationship with the Chinese spy. There's a new sheriff in town. Bravo speaker McCarthy, and that's the way you do it. We're going to have to stand up to this bunch and stand up and fight and is there a better fighter?

Rep. Andy Biggs Wants a Fiscal Path of Sustainability

"Likely is it to get to some of the meteor topics? Because I agree, and I know you do, you want to get to the real meat of it. But the woke stuff obviously, I think, is important for a variety of reasons, but the real meat is in sending the money to Ukraine. It's the massive amount of waste in the civil bureaucracies, like the 87,000 IRS agents, and so what is the plan or the strategy to be able to kind of go through this? I mean, I think we should entertain a government shutdown. I think it's that important, but I don't know if the shutdown actually is part of this, right? This is a separate issue because this is about just the full faith and credit of the United States. Is that correct? Yeah, this doesn't really ultimately lend itself to a budget government shutdown. What it does is it provides leverage in Charlie, I'm a big believer that legislating involves leverage. This is a leverage point for us to reduce spending. So you're right. Last year, most people don't realize this, we spent a $125 billion to Ukraine. Charlie, a $125 billion to Ukraine in an undeclared war that we're not supposed to be fighting in and it's supposed to be and it's become a proxy war. Those are the type of things that are just outrageous. And there's so much of it there. My staff last year we put together a big list. Just a Department of Homeland Security alone. And this is where you need to go as to start. It's the easy. That's what I call, it's the low hanging fruit. But Charlie, we fight within our own party. I once had a bill to eliminate a 15, $20 million program that was everybody admitted was duplicated in two other agencies. And I couldn't even get it out of committee. I only had like four or 5 Republicans vote for it in committee. That's where we're up against Charlie, and that's why this is an important leverage point. If we're ever going to get back on a fiscal path of sustainability. So

"You know me as the host of today explained, but I want to know a bit more about you. We all do not just meet me and Noel and the rest of the today explained team, the people who help us make it a toil decisions, the people who help us make marketing decisions, the people who help us try and grow this show want to know a bit more about you, stuff like how often do you listen to this show? Do you ever visit the website vox dot com? Do you ever watch vox stuff on YouTube or Netflix? We want to know all those kinds of things because they help us make a whole host of decisions. Go to vox dot com slash feedback. Today, there is a link to the survey in the show notes as well. We really appreciate the time you take to let us know a bit more about you. Thank you. Today explain Sean Romney's room here in the studio with Rachel Cohen from vox, who's recently written about the Republicans in Congress. Why is it an important time for us to talk about the Republicans in Congress? Well, we are about a month away from the midterms and most election forecasters think there's a pretty good chance that the Republicans are going to take the house. Earlier this year, election watches at the cook political report forecast that Republicans would pick up 20 to 30 additional seats. That prediction is now dropped to a range of from ten to 20. You know, recently 5 38 had it at 69%. The economy model had a 74%. So that's sort of the backdrop. And then the Senate, even though right now, Democrats are slightly favored to win, there are a lot of smart people in politics who are fairly skeptical about the public polling we're seeing. They say at best it's going to be really close. We really don't talk that much about the United States and I think because the polling has been so limited. But in fact, we have basically a toss up here for the United States Senate. I think people feel pretty confident Republicans will definitely take the house and they feel much more unsure about how the Senate is going to go. So either way, that means that it's a pretty good time to think, okay, well, what do Republicans want to do if they get control of the House? What bills do they want to pass? They won't be able to pass their bills into law really because Biden will still be annoyed house, but they could potentially have a lot of power to push their agenda, try to block Democrats agenda and launch a bunch of investigations against Democrats and the Biden administration. Well, let's pin investigations for a second and talk about legislation to congressional Republicans have any kind of cohesive strategy. This is a good question. I spent some time for a recent article in vox trying to sort of look through the various one pagers and agendas and manifestos circulating around. There are a bunch they all sort of overlap, but a little different flavors, the big ticket news agenda that just came out on September 23rd is from House minority leader Kevin McCarthy, who would become House speaker for publicans win in November, so there is a decent shot. Right. This is sort of this big effort he calls the commitment to America platform. What we're going to roll out today is a commitment to America. In Washington, now Washington, D.C., but Washington county, Pennsylvania. Where he's sort of trying to put out, hey, elect us, this is what we're going to do if we take power, but it's pretty vague in a lot of areas. I think there's a few specifics and a lot of talking points. We believe America is more than a country, America is an idea. And so you don't get the clearest sense of, okay, what would they actually do if they win? It sounds nice. A commitment to America, not like Nancy Pelosi, taking trips to Taiwan. What's in it? He actually got some assistance from former House Republican speaker, Newt Gingrich. Wow. Throwback. Yeah, he is still in the picture, actually, and has been advising Kevin McCarthy over the last year, giving him suggestions on what to do because when he was part of the Republican group that took control of the House in 1994, they ran on a very similarly named platform called the contract with America. And I want to say to every American that we believe in this contract and these reforms so deeply that we have not only put them in writing today. But that they will be in a full page ad and TV guide. And they basically promised they said, elect us and we'll put votes immediately to the floor, you know, in our first month and that document listed sort of 8 specific reforms or Republicans would do intend specific bills to bring to the floor. This is not just a platform or just a set of ideas or just a brochure. And Republicans promise that all their proposals would be issues that had 60% support. Every item in our contract is supported by 60% or more of the American people. Some of the items are supported as much as 80% of the American people. And outside Washington, this is a contract with Americans for America. What is old newt wanna do? What's he whispering in Kevin's ear? Newt has been, you know, generally advising Republicans to focus on quote. Kitchen table issues to be really, really kind of happy warriors about the future of the country and double down on government oversight and accountability. So things like investigating Biden and election fraud election security, those I think are the messages he's pushed on Kevin McCarthy and Kevin McCarthy has heard loud and clear. So that's kind of the background, but not everyone thinks it's a good idea to run on a specific platform of stuff you do in office, but that is what Kevin McCarthy has decided to do and he's taking close counsel from Newt Gingrich over the last year about that. And you've read this thing. Yeah, it's literally one page. There aren't that many words to read. Okay. Is there anything specific you parsed while reading this one page? Yeah, so it's divided into four sections, an economy that's strong, a nation that's safe, a future that's built Tom freedom and a government that's accountable. And most of it's pretty vague and boilerplate tea. They promise if you elect a Republicans, they will fight inflation and lower the cost of living. You're living through 12 months with only 11 months pay now. Because inflation is so high. They will curb wasteful government spending and increase take home pay and create good paying jobs. Can I afford to fill up my tank? Can I afford the food, the milk? Can I find baby formula? So, you know, they don't say much about how they would do that and that stuff you would hear sort of on any Republican campaign speech. There are a couple of specific pieces. They promise to end proxy voting for Congress, meaning you have to be in Congress to cast a vote. Nice. And they also say, we'll support 200,000 police officers. So they give a specific number. Why 200,000? What about all the rest of them? 200,000 more. Okay. And then there's stuff about making a parent's Bill of rights for schools. We can build an education system that has a parent's Bill of rights that you have a say in your kid's education. And moving the supply chain away from China. Too long, China has too much control of our supply chain. We're going

"And that's when I said, well, that's not how I intend to live my life, and I'm going to change this. So we joined the Revolutionary War. Now, I'm sorry I can't remember the name you guys, but it is a fascinating story. Maybe by next episode, I'll remember it. That's why these people joined us is for these basic fundamental ideas that the government did not respect their autonomy anymore. And we've seen our autonomy be continually disrespected over multiple years. But when you look at things as fundamental as the Second Amendment, which we talk about all the time, as the concept that if you can not stand up against your government, if the government does not fear the people. The government will oppress the people. The government will rise up. And now we have the president of the United States basically mocking us. That's what he was doing. He was mocking us, saying, oh, what? You keep claiming the Second Amendment is going to give you guys the power to stand up against us. Nice try. You're going to need an F 15. So was that him saying he's going to use an F 15 against us? Is that him saying nice try it's never going to happen. We've already worked through that. You guys are not a threat to us. "I mean, this is the way that this narrative is forming. And if you look at some of the victims in these shootings, they are often police who have tactical gear. They just are, they can't protect themselves against some of this weaponry. We saw some military foreign military soldiers also be victims. And so it's a very interesting confluence of the sort of support police and the blue with viewing objections to gun control as being anti police. And I think that's a connection that most Americans can relate to and most police departments urban police departments are very supportive of gun control for this reason. They see who are often victims of these kinds of incidents. There's just something really weird about that. So it's so strange to me to see how pro law enforcement, the left becomes when it's time to politicize those groups of people against their political opponents. And when it's time to weaponize them against us, there's something really weird about it. They just divided our country for multiple years with the phrase defund the police, and it kind of reminds me of the woke military of we're seeing them infiltrate every institution. They got rid of all the people in the military that wouldn't get the back. So anybody that was courageous enough to stand up for themselves and their bodily autonomy. They got them out. And now they're able to get these woke leaders in the military that are screwing us over. That's been a problem for quite some time, and so now I'm a little worried of like, okay, so you wanted to defund the police for how long, and then now you're sending millions, billions of dollars into funding new police officers and law enforcement, and then you're saying that if you're anti gun control, your anti police, and that the police are actually pro gun control, that's kind of fundamentally anti American, because I think here's the difference. "Kind of dances are being are taking place and money is being passed around. It's just wildly inappropriate from the start. So no deja. But thank you for talking to me. Thanks for replying. I appreciate it. Okay, let's move on to the next topic. We got a situation where we are apparently domestic terrorists. Let's get into it. Okay, so a weird chain of events happened over the last week, and at first it's like, oh, one weird thing here. Another weird thing there. But then when you kind of add it all up, it's like, oh man, what a mess. This is not looking good. We're on not so good path if we want to put it lightly. So one of the first things that caught my eyes, the fact that the lovely lovely providers of justice at our federal level of government, they decided to post a picture of the raid at Mar-a-Lago, the FBI raid where they have all of these documents all over the floor, and then they purposely, I believe, I think this is all staged. They staged all these papers on the floor, covered with these top secret file covers to make it look like, oh my gosh, look at all the documents that were top secret. And then next to that is a little filing box with picture frames and it's Donald Trump on Time Magazine's cover. And they released it and oh my gosh, the left went into a tizzy of like, oh, look how many of the documents were top secret. Look how many of the documents were classified or whatever the proper term is. Oh my gosh, this is so bad. I see it and I go, oh my gosh, we are so screwed. This has become so politicized. What's going to happen next? My favorite takes on this, I think it was Jack pozo. He was like, we're living in a movie. That's exactly what's going on right now. Nothing good is happening, right? With this with the politicalization of the FBI of the DoJ. And it's only going to get worse because we're only entering the midterms, you guys. With that being said, that happened and it was like, oh man, but then what also happened this week is Joe Biden filed to run for reelection. Did you guys hear that? It was kind of like slipped under the radar on this one, 'cause there's so much going on this week, but he officially filed the papers to become a candidate in 2024. For president, so he's going to run for reelection, or at least he filed the papers. I mean, on one end, you can look at this and say, maybe they're just filing the papers to avoid the probability that he probably won't run again, and he might just drop out after or whatever it may be, but they just kind of want to hush hush any potential primary challenges or any potential turmoil that's going on internally in the DNC. So that could be the case as well. They might just try to be trying to hide it. But so they announced that he is, once again, running, which means now he's going to be a candidate in 2024, he's going to be in the campaign season. And I just found it quite strange because the same week that this

"And they're just in basically lingerie all over their page. So that's what we're dealing with there. Pretty nasty. The second thing of that is, again, like how does that family friendly? The second thing of that woman's video asking for donations so that they can hire security is her saying, well, we want this to be a family friendly event. Now I commented on that too and I said, if you want it to be a family friendly welcoming loving event, you should probably not include people with the morally depraved names, anal leakage and genitalia. If either going to be performing in front of kids, but that's just one little idea. One little way to make it more welcoming and loving as an environment because there's nothing loving about sexual abuse of children. Okay? And so to kind of close out on this discussion, I posted this on Twitter as well and it was a little uproar on social media and that small way and I hope a lot of people show up in Provo and film this and document it and really hold these people accountable. But this one girl messaged me like a lib. Deja, deja, she her profile says abortion service and Black Lives Matter. So she posted on her story a bunch of videos of me like my reaction to it. And then she applied to my story and said, what exactly do you think you're doing here? And I said, just letting my followers know how genitalia will be performing in front of children this weekend. Any thoughts? Do you believe performers with the names genitalia and anal leakage are appropriate for family friendly all ages, audiences, or should they stick to adult crowds? And she said, I believe that kids aren't old enough to even put two and two together. And if they could, that is up to the child's parents, not you. Every all ages show I've been to has been totally appropriate for children.

"You know, we're a nonprofit funded entirely by the kindness and generosity of our community. Because of this, we operate entirely on a volunteer basis. Back to school pride night is going to be huge. So our volunteer need is huge as well. And blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. So that's what we're dealing with here. There's about 12 performers, one named anal leakage the next one's genitalia and yeah, they're promoting it as a back to school event for families and kids of all ages, and it's a very like colorful, fun sparkly poster that what I was reading, somebody commented and they were like, as a graphic designer, this is disgusting to see because it's clearly tailored to a fun young audience. And then all you have to do is just look a little bit deeper into the list of names and go, oh, well, that's disgusting. So we all started sharing it and spreading the word about it. I wrote an article on TPUSA dot com. If you guys want to check out my little column there, I write some articles from time to time. But I wrote on it, I started commenting and I encourage everybody to comment. I commented, interesting names. This is family friendly for all ages. And then we had other people who said, in what world is a drag show ever family friendly? That's when rainbow collective said, we would love for you to come and see. You're more than welcome to come and be curious how it goes. Allison said, glad I saw this so I can make sure not to take my two year old to our favorite park this weekend, exposing her to someone called anal leakage is not my idea of a family friendly activity. Right? So then they got a little defensive, right? Rainbow collective then posts a chalk drawing onto their Instagram page and said need some inspo for the next three days, come and join us in supporting LGBTQ+ and marginalized students at BYU.

"And then if they wanted to pursue a college degree, they did go to college, but they had a proper understanding of the world around them from an early age because their parents, not the government taught them these things, then perhaps if they saw a crazy professor or crazy teacher or whatever at any age, they'd be like, you're a psycho, you need to go to a mental institution, and I'm not going to fall for it, but thank you, professor, and then that kind of also brings us to the next question. Why are we paying them so much money to indoctrinate us? If this is what these kind of people say, then why are we paying them to be educators and give them authority over such crucial things I believe politics is downstream from education and right now the left controls education the woke left specifically controls education and they are going to continue to indoctrinate in their political favor. Now, I could go on a rant about that, but we're going to go back to the topic maps, ridiculous, right? The rise of supporting absolute depraved behavior is disgusting to me. And so, what's interesting is people always ask, like, how many messages do I get? Guys, I get a lot of random messages, okay? People send me things, and a lot of them are like, oh, I thought you would like this, and it usually is. Like somebody sent me a video yesterday of a little girl literally training as a boxer and she's like dip in and she's punching and she's bobbing and weaving and doing all these things. And I'm like, you know, I think it's cool that someone sees a video like that and then says, I'm gonna send that to Morgan Zucker's. So I appreciate those. I try and keep up with it, but sometimes it's a lot. So that being said, I try and scroll through my messages and catch anything because there's a lot of good stuff in there and I just hate looking at my phone.

"All right, hello, hello. Welcome back to the show. It's Morgan. We're going to say some weird things on this show. So I just want to warn you guys. I'm sorry. I don't want to say these things either, but they put us in these positions. The fact that I don't even want to say these words, and now I have to tell you about this political story, says a lot. Because we're going to talk about these inappropriate words, and how it's relating to kids, and I refuse to ignore the story, so we're going to say the weird words. Are you ready? Let's do it. Now you guys, before we get into the show, I want to just quickly promote vara safety. If you haven't checked out my Instagram, I recently posted a tutorial on how I use the product. You guys are always asking about the kind of outfits that I'm wearing with concealed carry the kind of holster that I like to use, the safe I use, one of the things that I think is an absolute must, especially after really having it for a long time and trying it out is the bar safety reach twos. It's a combination between a safe and a holster in the sense that it's screwed into my bedside table. It's super sturdy. And I pull the gun as if I'm pulling from a regular sleek holster, but there's a fingerprint sensor, a thumbprint sensor biometric sensor on the holster that acts as a safe and only unlocks for my thumbprint or anybody else who is an authorized user. So this is really the fastest way to get my gun. It checks all the boxes for security and reliability. And even cooler, it's all made in America. They're actually based near my hometown in upstate New York. So kudos to them, they do a great job. This is a product that I know a lot of families have been waiting for. A lot of people ask me how they can balance safety and security with immediate access. What I like about varez as well is that you not only have immediate access, but you have immediate proper grip. So it's a great combination of all the things that we really need, especially for someone like me. I'm 5 feet tall, I weigh like a hundred something pounds. And I live alone.

"Because he's not doing anything to sort of attention. And I really think he's got to throw some bombshells out there. And I don't mean bombshells that are anything that's not true. I mean, Kathy hochul should be going to jail because she's awarded COVID contracts. The family members who have given her $300,000 for her campaign war chest. That's a true statement. And it needs to be said. And it should be saying these people deserve to go to jail for this kind of mistreatment. And Kim. But he's not saying that. He's just sitting back, so the media just ignores him. And that's going to hurt us campaign big time. In my opinion. And we're going to talk with us with Dave D Pietro next Mike, but I want to tease that with what hulk said this weekend about Republicans getting out of here. To her credit though, she's firing, right? We don't agree with it. We think she's a moron, but she's firing and she's doing exactly what we're telling Zelda to do. Yeah, the Democrats don't back down. They just throw, they just keep punching and punching and punching until they take all your money. And then we end up as Venezuela. And then they're like, well, I didn't know this could happen. Well, let me say that. Many of them do know. And even in Venezuela, many of the left wing socialists are still very wealthy. In a Nancy Pelosi is not giving up her picket sense, her wall around her house, and her $25,000 ice cream refrigerator. She's not. Her and her husband are still going out, buying stocks. With insider information, they're still taking their private jet to Italy. And yes, California is a shithole that continues to become even a bigger shithole. But she doesn't care. She's ruling over it. She's still in charge. And her and her husband are still getting worth wealthier, right? Tell us how you really family will. The pay to play will go from 80 grand a month from some Ukrainian oil and gas company to $200,000 a month. They'll still be getting their money in there and their private jets. God bless America, right? Well, that is Mike lomis financial guys. We greatly appreciate your bluntness on Mike in my high lose. All right. Always appreciate it. Yeah, it's interesting too because, you know, you mentioned Kathy holker. And she really laid down the gauntlet when it comes to okay. "And as we learned yesterday, with all of these Senate Republicans, they are more than willing more than willing to spend money like drunken Democrats. So if we're not going to, if we're not going to have a party that stands up for social issues. If we're not going to have a political party that defends our personal civil liberties. If we're not going to have a party that is physically conservative, what is the difference between the Republican Party and the Democrat party? What is the difference? And based on their behavior, over the past couple of weeks, is this going to impact your support of Republicans? Folks, it's beyond my understanding. Why they would do this, the Republican Party. They are they are literally trying to throw the midterm elections. And I have to imagine a lot of you are out there and you're discouraged, you're disappointed and you're frustrated. It is a, it's a moral defeat. And I just, it, they've got to get their act together. "How do they line up on the two sides at this policy fight orrin cast is somebody who most listeners probably haven't heard of but Somebody who started the first right of center think tank called american compass that is devoted to advocating for the government to get more involved rather than less involved in economic policy and cass was the domestic policy adviser. He was like twenty eight years old on mitt romney's twenty twelve presidential campaign and has since developed relationships with other politicians on the right including jd. Vance in ohio. And marco rubio and florida so those are people who i think you could call accolades or advocates for the common good capitalism view. He asks them they'll tell you that. They view their intellectual opponents as by members of the wall street journal editorial board which is sort of been a pillar of conservative economic policy on the right up folks like pennsylvania. Senator pat toomey who have been. Who's been an influential economic voice. And i you know scholars at the american enterprise institute. So which side would you say has more power in the party right now. I think that the free marketeers are like. They remain majority view in the party. And i would define that you as if you talk to. People like to me Or or others. They'll say like the free market system is good in and of itself. When i talked to me for this piece he told me like. Capitalism is for the common good and there's a belief that gearing economic policies towards growth through tax cuts and other means is what benefits families communities and the country. Let's ivan to the politics of this. Which side he think is an easier sell for republicans politically. I don't actually think we know yet. Trump was a confusing figure because he talked to write a common good capitalist or a populous. That trump wasn't quite in the common good and talking about communities and families but he talked like a populous but then governed much more like a a reaganite a traditional supply side leader with the exception of trade policy that's a pretty big exception but trump's protectionist trade policies advocacy for protectionist reports was super controversial and that a lot of resistance on the right and so i think what we have now is an opponents of the common good capitalist new say yeah voters might like particularly the sort of middle class lower middle class multi-race the new multi-racial coalition year. Toss about a lot on the right. They might like the way that this stuff sounds on the campaign trail.

"Just through the magic of leverage and no one really believed in it you know there was there all sorts of reasons why it just never trump was lazy right like he didn't like actually he didn't like negotiating anything himself so it just never you know there were all sorts of reasons that never came together for him. But you know it's very possible that joe biden is going to deliver what trump only promised and so obviously he's upset so it seems like we're at this kind of interstitial moment where once again this bipartisan. You never know. Right like i just. I'm sort of a big believer in the idea that like you know. Fate makes a mockery of our best laid plans. So i'm a little bit skittish. It could become more of an intra democratic fight and it might become more of a fight of what goes into that other bill right. What what accompanies infrastructure. So the fights about to change. "I guess what's a little bit frustrating watching this is. We're actually seeing these zone of agreements where reasonable people can get together and make progress. It's just that it's happening on the backdrop of this all encompassing culture war between the democratic and republican parties leading to the degradation of things like voting rights and creating this spectre about. What's going to happen in the next election. And if you know what crazy things Gop controls states might do and real fears about you know what could actually happen to the integrity of the electoral process. You know the culture wars. What's creating these just massive existential fears about the future of the country and also the fact that republicans still don't seem to be willing to go far even close to far enough on on climate change. However those are sort of the big overriding problems and then yet you can kind of see in these. bipartisan bills. What a sort of functioning moderate government might look like if there were these other bigger issues. It's striking to me listening to you and thinking about this strategy of having all these bills where you kind of stuff in pieces of what you want to get done. How much this is a former senators strategy. You know what. I mean like listening to you talk. I feel like this is so joe biden to operate in this way and to sort of get your priorities into a bunch of different bills and have one be really bipartisan. It just seems like it's a function of the fact of where he came from. Yeah i think there's some of that. The white house definitely was hands on legislating. And so yeah. I think you do see a little bit of the former senators touch. I'm willing to admit that. It looks like i will probably be proven wrong About whether anything can get done on a bipartisan basis..

"But the and if we were lucky enough to get to the discovery process one of the things that would come out of this because the reason he was kicked off of those social media platforms is that he incited an insurrection on january six and and The defense attorneys for all of these companies would would have a field day probing any communication at the white house level or the at among trump's political operatives. Not only on january six but in the months before as they establish a fact pattern around whether trump did premeditate. In addition of fomenting the insurrection on january six they will never wanna get there when we got into discovery on our lawsuit. Trump ended up trying to settle and our attorneys rejected his efforts to settle the case. Because at that point we had our hands on his tax returns and his business records. And we're able to use those things that oppose him and nobody in this current lawsuit would ever want to get to that stage with him so at that point. Trump just dropped the lawsuit. Which is what he would do here. I mean the the audience has to understand that. And i think many do is that if you file a lawsuit against anyone you have immediately made yourself available to be subpoenaed by the other side to testify under oath in a deposition whenever they want that to happen and of course trump would have to avoid that at all costs in this case so he would just drop his case when those subpoenas arrived if the court led him if the court lead of in our case the court. Didn't you know the court ended up dismissing the case but he still had to go through discovery so he loses control of the process and they ended up as he always does shooting himself in the foot with these kind of things because he's jumped into it for the publicity value without thinking about the long term consequences of this kind of legal buffoonery o'brien who beat donald trump in court when donald trump sued him.
