"Gotta go there. And they play army at home. So that could be a showdown man. Coral rene have hugh freeze is a coach and he brings a lot of lot of interesting stuff with them and a lot of heat sometimes. Yeah yeah so. I don't know final results of the poll question. Who's gonna have a who has a better chance of winning rookie of the year. Mack jones trevor lawrence fifty four percent mack jones. I'm a little surprised. I thought trevor gonna win that one. Well it'd be tricky on the numbers that are put up in the successive. I think max jones gets the patriots into the playoffs. Then he's going to be your rookie year. Because i don't i don't know how they get in if he doesn't perform well now. It's his job and given that offense where you have tight end you'll utilize you got running backs you gotta offensive line. The he's there's built-in success there. If you're a rookie quarterback or second year quarterback thirty your quarterback you want to have those pieces in place. I'm not thrilled with the wide receivers tight ends. You can use both of them. You got a lot of running backs in. it's a good offensive line. Good place to start and if you have an offensive coordinator who was there for most of tom. brady's run. you should be able to plug him in and say this is what we did with tom. But i think that that it's the smarter. Pick the safer. Pick and the more consistent. Pick by taking mac jones. Do i think cam's always the wild card. Yes you got a quarterback who can rush for twelve touchdowns the problem is. He can't throw for twelve touchdowns so he can give it but he also take it away. Yes mclennan zach wilson in that rookie conversation we have to. I mean you're going to be behind you're going to get a lot of throws i just wanna know. How good is the offensive line. Going to be good. I that's why when whenever we talk about skill position and offensive coordinator and scheme and wouldn't super bowl. Come down to patrick. Mahomes didn't have a good offensive line. So the can't miss surefire hall of famer great quarterback couple of great weapons ofensive minded head coach. And what happened. The offensive line was in any good. If you don't have that it doesn't matter you can have all those skill position players but if you're on your back they ain't getting the ball as great as mahomes is and that's what tampa new they're like. Nick and irvine is called back. We lost you last time nick. What's on your mind. Thanks so much for putting it back then past tag hall of famer. That's so awesome. I retired to ago after twenty years as a litigator in california. And let me just try to shed a little light. Which is we have a right to get married to you. You want as long as you're consenting adults at the civil rights that changed recently if you're a person of two different races and you wanna get married that happened. In the love case in the fifties i made a movie about it You have a right to vote. You do not have civil rights to housing or working people. Think that maybe you do. But you don't and so you never right not to have the vaccine. You have the right to get sick and die. You don't have a right to any medical care that's not a civil right actually So hope you have insurance. But you don't have a right to work and if you if what you're doing To risk far outweighs. You're your otherwise we'll right to work on civil right but a legal right to work in other words. You can't get fired for the wrong reason. And that reason becomes the right route so when the government starts telling employees. You can't come to work unless you're unless you're vaccinated. It's like all off full speed ahead. So what's going on. And what urban. Meyer said He's a he's you know he's telling the truth. And yeah. I mean if he wins dan. Urban meyer wins going to be able to say whatever he wants. But he's you know i know what the big business but urban meyer telling the truth you know. We'll have got. And i got to thank you nick. Urban meyer told the truth that part of the reason why or you know one of the reasons why he could have cut. Somebody was they weren't vaccinated. I don't know if you've heard another coach. Say that but you did hear that from him. And i think that that's why the nfl players association is looking into that. The quarterback bet between mclovin. And paulie all right mclovin. What the stakes are we talking to pie to the face. Three two pies to the face. Should i get you quarterbacks. This is debate. Okay let me pull has to agree to give bet paulie mischaracterizes. It's not a guy who's out of nowhere. The two guys that mike renner was talking about in the last segment and he has special rather one. Then sam howell. I'll give to paulie. Then i get the third guy. He mentioned melik willis out of liberty but since he stirred. I get another one. So i'll say malik willis and my other guy go higher than sam howell or my other sense. Well who's the other guy. I wanna take by slightly surprised matt corral out of mississippi who's like kind of in the fifteen to thirty range and a lotta mock draft okay. Emily quills is about top ten. A lotta march but sam. Howls one or two. So i say how will i say. That malinche willis or matt corral go. What are those two guys. Go tightened sam. How all right paul. I guess how wanna respond. I would respond. And i would take this bet. I feel pretty good about sam how unc. But if i lose. I get one pie. Mclovin loses. He gets to because he gets to quarterbacks. Would that be fair. Yes it is. Are you willing to accept. Yeah that's fair okay. And this is good. I love draft. Beth like seton. I had a great one a few years ago. Because it gives you something to watch for it for six months. Yeah i thought. I had a decent bet with you. I think it was after. Trevor laurence's freshman year and i said he won't be taken number one overall you kind of took the field. Yes i did take. It's always is always against. I did take the field unlike. Most guys don't go wire-to-wire. Yeah yes sam. House interesting because he at unc has to overcome the trubisky stink Which is still kind of around. Even though terrific is not a true bust But then he's got the beefy -ness of like a he's like baker mayfield was about twelve extra pounds of muscle. Got good hair. which is really big for drafty. Great hair i think. He had a beard in high school. I remember watching a high school game with him and he was. He was sort of a running back at quarterback. It was a bruising back apple. unc's got a friendly schedule. A lot of people expect them to do better this year. They got miami on october. Sixteenth and notre dame at notre dame. October thirtieth. Big weekends for his heisman. Push. yes mclovin. Yeah renner put me over the top. I had no idea. Maliki willis ran like that today's nfl. That's that's your guy running quarterback right. But i don't know if playing liberty hurts him. Yeah because we don't know how good and where did liberty come from. As far as football power like is it real. They beat coastal carolina and there. the other added. That was another one where you go. It was such a strange year last year. Where you're going you know if you looked at if you looked at the rankings. I didn't tell you what year it was or what sport it was. You'd probably go. Is this basketball. Is liberty got good basketball team coastal carolina. They've been the ncaa before. So your liberty flames have a lot of money behind them lately and they're trying to schedule bigger games. They played teams. Like old dominion and campbell. But then they've got syracuse at syracuse. They've got middle tennessee which is even that bad. They got north texas. They're ole miss at ole miss. You.

"Think on a neutral field. Gimme georgia mike. Good to talk to you. We'll be talking to you during the season. thank you very much for. That's mike renner. Football focus lead draft analyst. I will say that. Mike does make me feel better about my questions when i go. Who's you're upset special this weekend. Like he gives a great thought. I appreciate that by the way as strange. This is gonna sound of all the games this weekend. And you got penn state wisconsin. You got alabama miami indiana iowa georgia clemson. Ohio state plays minnesota thursday night. I'm interested in louisiana versus texas. Good call. I'm really interested in louisiana. Not not lsu. Lsu's got ucla but louisiana against taxes because the clock starts ticking. For on steve sarkisian. He's got a three year window here at texas. Louisiana is a top twenty five team. Yeah paulie you're cages are getting eight points from texas right entertainment purposes. Only money line. And it's tricky when you're trying to handicap these quarterbacks because of all those quarterbacks that we mentioned there will probably be another quarterback that comes out of nowhere and you'll go wait. Where did he come from. How long's he been a starter. Because if you said to me. Zach wilson at the beginning of the year year ago. He's gonna go number two overall now. I go okay and see enough -nough consistency. I knew he was highly thought of but then all of a sudden you know. We don't even know if he's going to start or not at. Byu club to eleven touchdowns nine picks as a sophomore. I don't believe he was. How could he be on anyone's radar with those numbers. I don't i don't know might. He was on our radar like well. I think you have to say that. Yeah we knew about him. Yeah it's like ben. Volen covers the patriots for the boston globe. And he said what ninety nine percent of us probably thought but didn't say or wooden say and that is i thought that cam newton was gonna be the started. He covers the patriot. So when all these analyst go yet but i could see this one coming. No no no you didn't or you would have said tom. Curren came out and he said here this a no brainer. He should be. Don't be surprised. But he didn't know and nobody knew cam. Newton was going to be released. But when when you say yeah that guy. He was on radar mack. Mac jones was on your radar. Yeah paul i'm hearing. That mclovin has a college quarterback crush a guy who thinks a nobody who will be somebody in four-mile teams hearing rumblings. I actually yeah. I would have bet. Paulie quarterback. I will give him. Pf fs number two quarterback. Sam how how about we take a break. Okay right yes take a break. We find out what's at stake because we just don't make bets on this show. There's always there's always repercussions injury embarrassment humiliation or pie to the face. We'll take a break mclellan's big bet coming up next. Thanks for listening to the dan. "Get underrated. And you're seeing that in the preseason. Now i if the draft were held today the first quarterback taken absolutely positively. No doubt is. There's there's no trouble lawrence in this year's class but to me it's spencer rattler. The oklahoma quarterback obviously lincoln riley develop quarterbacks. They're as good as anyone else in the country and his talent is just off the charts and just what he can do that only physically with his legs as a runner but just outside the pocket armed town he kinda takes that sort of playmaking ability that everyone's looking for that out structure stuff. That mahomes is known for that. Aaron rodgers is known for. He takes that to the is the highest grade quarterback by us europe. You have outside the pocket last year looking to do. Almost i is kind of the definition of gender quarterback where the the fans not there. You wants to break bucket. He wants to just start making place And he consistently does it in offense but he got bench last year when he started. I was like as i remember watching him in high school because he had nico manion. The basketball player. I think was on his High school football team like they he was like. Wow this guy is awesome. And then he goes to oklahoma. And i'm thinking he ain't awesome. He became better a lot better last year. But see that's just it. I it rolling the dice if if you would have said at the beginning of last year that guy is going to be. I quarterback taken. I went to went got talent. I don't know if he's going to be consistent enough. That's the thing it's at this point. These guys aren't to the level of trouble or they're not for the level of even just in to us coming into his last year college but the talent is there and that's kind of what your base it off of the things that he's kind of doing excelling it. You can't really teach and the sort of the inside the Kits staying within structure. You can develop that moore. You can't develop a guy to throw it fifty yards on a dime running to. It's right which we've seen rally do multiple times. Okay so spencer. Rattler out of oklahoma the second quarterback off the board if the draft were today would be sam hall north carolina another guy. Who's very talented. I mean he might have the strong arm in the country. him or medical liberty right up there. They both have throats in their tape. That are sixty plus yards and not not super sky balls. He's throwing it online. Almost physically looks like baker mayfield's just a shade over six foot about two fifteen can make some plays as a runner but that north carolina. Offense why. We're kind of putting them in that. You know conversation of trevor lawrence like a surefire locked number one is that through more. Rpo's than anyone else in the country. Last year he threw more. Go ball saying what else the country it. not that. Not saying that you won't have to do those at the nfl level but those are one read basically not having to do quarterback e things. It's just arm town at that point. So the arm towns their tools are there to to end up as and i'm gonna overall pick. It's just we need to see him. Actually operating offense there and north carolina. More all right. The third quarterback off the board is. Here's where it gets a little hairy goes to the top two clearly guy. I like the third quarterback. Off the boards skyguide touchdown just their monique wilson liberty trae lance goes number three overall this past year basically based off of what he can do physically not much sort of polish as a quarterback not much sort of even experience as a quarterback land. That's kind of leak willis at liberty. His former auburn guy lost the knicks. But he might have the strongest army country and is the best runner in the country. He had over a thousand yards rushing last year is six foot two twenty five and runs a four five like he had more broken tackles then allow the running backs drafted last year. This guy could be running back in the nfl. He wanted to be a third fourth. Rounder if you just wanna play that and that's gonna play so much and has been playing so much with gaza calamari lamar jackson how it impacts defenses. So i do think that even if only quills doesn't necessarily developed too much as a passer just what it can do from a russian perspective is gonna show him get him draft highly. He's mike renner. The pro. football focus lead draft analyst. Let me throw a couple other names. Jt daniels georgia high on him. Not yet you go back and watch. Cincinnati comes in end of last year. I played five games. I wanna say the first few electric. I mean he's bombing down the football field but then you watch them go up against a good defense. We didn't actually face any of the top cop just in the sec. When he does come in was a good defense in cincinnati and basically. It doesn't know when to stop taking chances with the football head one of the highest average depths of target of any quarterback in college football last year over twelve yards down the football field. Just throw an almost willy nilly and you see that in the bowl game where he's just taken all these bad chances in surly out really reading the defense is i. So it's still too early. I'd say for him but he was the qb three in that class behind. Trevor lawrence injustice fields coming out of high school obviously massively talented dude. But we just need to see a more consistent quarterback this year keyed on slovaks at usc. I don't think he does a great arm. But i think he's really accurate. I don't know he's got good size. Six two six three. What do you think of slava's. Yeah he he's the guy that needs that mack jones sort of leap to basically playing perfect football because no one's gonna draft him first overall based off of what he brings the table and is that the arm is not great but joe boroughs arm wasn't great and you went number one overall but when it is not great you have to play flawless. You have to not make mistakes with football. And i think that's what slow has just done too much at this point. Throw the ball. The other team basically missing linebackers missing reads and that sort of thing that you can't do it but he he does have the sort of processing building you see him. Get to check downs quickly. See him get. Your second reads very quickly. He has that ability but just too many sort of boneheaded play so far i know carson strong at nevada that he lives up to his name. You know he's a big kid but he's at nevada outed somebody who's maybe a first rounder epic end up at nevada. I actually haven't looked too much into your background. Why he ended up there but it is surprising because not only is he playing good football. It's quarterback he's he's got a canon and he's got a very aesthetically pleasing released like kind of aaron rodgers released where it's just like it's quick it looks like the way of football should be thrown carson strong and so i think he could end up in that first round conversation obviously played exceptionally well. Last year has a pretty good wide receiver out there in romeo dubs. Who could be strong conversation as well that he's got to play some real competition this year. I believe he plays boise state early on plays calia employees them. Play some place an actual doin competition after not playing any Power five competition after not playing any last year but carson strong kid most completions of anyone and by far that came fifty plus yards downfield last year and had before farthest throw in the country from start to finish seventy yards from his hands where the ball ended up of any quarterback country last year. I'll throw it another one. It's only because the scalp told me about him. Kenny pick it at pittsburgh kenny pickett. He's got so there's a lot of guys with cannons in this draft last not a lot in a lot of guys who are polish though he is all over the place with his actresses so far like he'll he'll have throws that are just. I mean gorgeous gorgeous. Throws he reminds me a lot of the guy who might be starting for the colter jacobsen back at washed like man that is forty are laser post and then the next one is a bubble screen that sailed over a guy's head so pick it has the physical ability but man. He is accuracy issues for days. You got some good games coming up this weekend. Will we see surprise in college. Football mean definitely. See a surprise asked me to predict a surprise that is not my forte. I am not. I am not the best drag nasa cater. But my my my upset. There is any upset pick. I think georgia comes out. Georgia's my one of my national championship. Picks i think they come out and put it to clinton because this is the most talented defense in the country. Right now and yeah. Clemson's ranked three georgia's rank five. But i.

Renting Can Help You Buy a Home

"I've got some simple advice for you. That i hope will easier worries so we have roughly a third of americans that are renters. The percent that are renters has gone up over the last many years and many of those renters want to remain renters. Others would like to own a home and the problem is showing their credit history. They will help you qualify for a mortgage so it becomes kind of like a trap is you're renting so there's no mortgage payment history there and so how do you prove your ability to pay your bills as you should well. This is something that is being looked at more and more. I've talked about private services that allow you to turn your rent payment into a trackable essentially form of credit and how that is something that is now available in the marketplace and now a big development is that fannie mae one of the two government owned big lending organizations fannie mae freddie mac or the two bigs behind the curtain of most mortgages issued in the united states now has a new lending guideline that allows renner's to potentially qualify for a mortgage based on their history of how they paid their rent. Now it will be up to individual financial institutions whether or not they will adopt the guidelines that fannie mae has issued

"Do think when it comes to what has helped us on. The journey is certain. That sounds bit counterintuitive but the fact that we Me and my co founders. But first time entrepreneurs and starting the company right of new visit actually helped us to stop at southern company to quote cookie because we wear so naive and things that we really took a lot of advice very little and there's some easy things like people out of most important factor your company successful. You should make sure that really only hire the best people and we've been very early on thought like well. I guess it's such a common known visit. Everyone would do that very literally. Hideki Matsuyama wins Masters to become first Japanese man to claim major title

"Every year we have a new story to tell. At Augusta National, and this time the story is told. Had decade. Matsuyama, the first Masters and major champion from Japan. Woke up on a Monday morning in Japan provided them with a moment they'll never forget. Moment he'll remember for the rest of his life. Renters Rights And the Mortgage Forebearance extension

"So we have had unprecedented moves over the last year to protect renters and borrowers from facing eviction for renters and foreclosure innovation for borrowers in mortgages and the clock had reached midnight on those programs and there are changes for both borrowers and renner's and there's been so much confusion about this. I want to talk about renters. So as a runner. You don't have automatic protection. You have rights that can prevent innovation but only if you exercise those rights. The rights only extend to people who can demonstrate the have suffered financial harm because of corona virus and. We really have been split as a country. They're tens of millions of people who've suffered extreme hardship with job and the rest and then san tens of millions others of others who actually are in better financial shape almost a year out from the onset of corona virus in the united states than they were before so it is a really story for renters. You have a form you have to fill out that we have a link to it. Clark dot com where you verify the economic hardship you've had you must go to your court dates if your landlord goes after you anyway and the courts are usually doing things by zoom or some other online means. But if you don't appear your landlord even in the midst of eviction moratorium will still be granted relief by the court and you will in fact be evicted. So it's up to you to do the paperwork. Proactively send the paperwork to your land or the landlord pretends to ignore it and files for dispossessed. Ry eviction on you. You must go through the process of protecting yourself in court and also make sure that you keep notes when you notified your landlord the form you provided them. You also provide to the court to assert your rights. The meek do not remain in their apartments. You must stand up for yourself. In the case of homeowners there are more protections because with renner's once the moratorium lifts which is likely this spring that will with at that point. You in theory. You're supposed to pay all your back rent now. That's not realistic right. If you've been unemployed or underemployed for a year but the landlords will be free at that point to move forward with an eviction before moratoriums lift in your financial situation does start to stabilize. I said when not if you want to approach her landlord and see if you can work out a payment plan with them to start working on the back rent otherwise all the eviction moratorium did was buy you time but you still facing ultimate eviction for people that are mortgage borrowers now. That process has split. People who have fha mortgages now have a better blanket of protections then people who have loans that are underwritten behind the curtain by fannie mae or freddie mac. Most people's loans are in fact underwritten by fannie mae or freddie mac the Foreclosure moratorium has been extended ninety more days. Four people with fannie. Mae freddie mac if you are in some kind of forbearance you get ninety days added to that if you need it beyond what was originally a maximum twelve months in the case of fha borrowers you now have protection till early summer till june thirty in order to then work out a new payment arrangement the fha because it is a direct federal agency loan the fha will have fairly standardized procedures. Matt point on what your workout will be how you will eventually make good on the money that you did not pay over the last year in the case of fannie mae and freddie mac there will be a number of different ways that lenders deal with you. They have some Latitude in how they work out. Payment plans with you. The likeliest course that will work for most people is the miss months or full year or so of mortgage payments will be added onto the back of your loan as an additional Months or year or a little more year loan that is for many people going to be the best arrangement but again you cannot be passive. You must be active here and you just don't stop paying and when the moratoriums over you just don't say okay. Everything's gonna be great. You're the one who's got to be active with your lender on coming up with a workout arrangement. What they do in commercial real estate all the time with commercial mortgages are workouts and you will be doing Work out of your mortgage where it works for you and the lender.

But apparently, he was also as a side hustle looking for other sources like the source of our sweet watermelons and people thought he'd founded the wild ancestor but Livingston was wrong about the source of the Nile and as it turns out now. We know he was wrong about those wild watermelons to now that scientists can examine the DNA of melons. They found that the Kalahari desert wild melon that Livingston came upon is not the ancestor of our sweet watermelon. But DNA is just one of the tools that scientists are using to try to figure out where and when the watermelon was domesticated, you can't just use one approach. But fortunately, some other watermelon evidence has showed up in a four thousand year old Egyptian tomb complex the seeds and leaves from the tomb ended up at the q Royal Botanic Gardens in England Suzanne wanted to find out if those remains held any clues about whether the watermelon had already been domesticated by them. So she wrote to mark Nesbitt who coincidentally starred in our tonic. And who runs the economic botany collection at Q. and she asked if she could borrow a watermelon leaf from the tomb, it was in a glass box encased in a box and he opd mark opened it, and he said it hadn't been opened since eighteen seventy one or whenever singles arrived there then and her colleagues analyzed demand the leaf and I they were thrilled the watermelon leaf DNA did in fact, have the mutations that would have made the fruit sweet and read but then when you see fourteen Dating for this material that we had received for Mark Nesbitt, it turned out it was much younger than we thought it turns out the watermelon material in the two had been left there by a later visitor carbon dating showed it was from the late eighteen hundreds huge bummer.

"Like it's just that's when they're saying there's no there's no other way to. There's no other way to actually like distill that into some other sentiment. It's just simply. Hey poor people die so rich. People can continue to earn money off the stock market. Yeah I wonder like He. He's like yeah. I'm going to be careful. I'm sure my other grandparents. Ah You're talking about people who are like you wealthy enough to protect themselves and not go into work and who have retirement funds and who like aren't going to D- in the situation to die. Yeah that's yeah that. That's that's who he's talking to also like. That's that's how something this asinine get started is because all the rich guys start talking to each other and they're like well. This is bad for us and people are GonNA WANNA make a sacrifice. And they don't really think about like. They think that they're making a sacrifice but they're not really because they know that we're going to be fine and the people that they know are gonna be. Finding their family is going to be fun. Another another scare tactic just as it relates to the stock market and like the kind of bullshit arguments to dislike. Let's get the stock market back going Kind of shaped is Some scaremongering for people whose retirement are attached to the stock market Where like I don't know like my my all my dad's retirement which is not a lot Is is tied to the stock market. And so he has been like and I'm sure that a lot of people like retirement age has been. I mean not arguing that like not reopened America but like. I don't know how I'm gonNA fucking retire now. Like if the stock market crashes this bad when the time comes for me to take my money out in a couple of years then like I'm not GonNa have enough to last for as long as retirement needs to last and so it's just an and so he's been getting likey messages to that effect from from his his place of work. That is like yeah. This is really bad. Seems like we should get back to work. What are you like Shit like yeah? It's yeah it sucks to have to. Have you know something like your long term? Financial Stability Like your retirement or pension tied to something as volatile as the stock market and then weaponized that against some someone rather than also like really. They should be looking at okay. Well who's going to be made whole that is going to help the economy or help. The stock market bounced back. And how are they going to use that money responsibly? And then how are we also going to make this recovery package part of observing people who unfortunately may have been completely fucked over by a market crash? Yeah we take that into consideration rather than like well what about like spirit air? How do we make sure they? They STAY ON LINE. And then they can fire as many people as they want right. We're in an interest like brings another like glaring hole. In the way things work lake brought to the forefront of like yeah if if the stock market is volatile and the people who are you know like have a vested interest in. It are such chaotic evil. People then is it. I mean it's not necessarily humane to have someone's entire retirement like attached to that like that doesn't make any human sense that needs to be a public service. So right yeah. There's other stories that are again this split between capital and labour. Like the in the sports world the seventy sixers ownership was asking every employee of the seventy sixers in the Philadelphia flyers from fifty thousand dollars up to take a twenty percent pay-cut rather than you know them have a unprofitable quarter and they eventually like got kind of reprimanded for that from the public because it's a public company that like people pay attention to but shit like that is going on everywhere and like right after they did that. Joel embiid. Who's the seventy sixers? Best player was like okay. I will donate like five hundred thousand dollars to those people. So they don't have to take a pay cut. Mike Reminds Zion Williamson. Who's like a eighteen year old rookie in the NBA? Was like I'm going to donate a bunch of my money. So that people who work at the at our arena don't have to like are able to feed their family and it just reminds me of like there. There is the study of like who scored the highest on the narcissism test in Hollywood and it was all the reality stars because they they got famous not because they had a talent that made them famous. They have they got famous because they have like a sucking hole where their self worth is and they just needed to fill it with fame. And I think that we're seeing a similar thing with capitalism that the people who are richest or not necessarily the most skilled or the smartest they are the most unbalanced greedy and predatory and they're not going to do the right thing if they can possibly help it and meanwhile people who got rich by having a talent or skill don't have that disposition there otherwise like mostly normal people and so they have to donate money because they have empathy. So then you know. Oh that's really kind of I mean that's that's good to hear. Yeah but I think that I think the entire country and system is run by people who are like the owners who are like uniquely uniquely constructed to not have empathy and be predatory. That's how you get hundreds of millions and billions of dollars is that's how you can look at. You can look at making a cut to your labor force and say well actually if I cut this entire factory operation off and move it over here then. I can actually make three times as much money but the reason I can do it. Make a decision like that is because I don't give a fuck about the people who worked in the factory that lived in the US in the first place and it's my ability to not give a fuck about them that allows me to make the capital making the profit generating move to just shift my shit somewhere else in the name of prophets and you know again. That's that's sort of the game. Where all of this is the wealthier asking the less fortunate to take to actually wants to sacrifice so it doesn't have to be them and man if I was doing crisis. Pr For let's say the concept of capitalism. I'd be like look. This is what you need to do right now. All you billionaires thumb to the fucking just are coming to the fucking rescue. Nba like real. Here's fucking here's three billion dollars from me. Here's five billion for me. Here's ten billion for me. I get it. I made a lot of money but I realize now I have the resources to make this right. Let me do that. And maybe people shut the fuck up about taking all your shit when the dust settles after this but right now everybody sitting on their hands acting like well actually. I need poor. People would actually tighten their belts up. Oh that's see about me again. Their family are the ones? Yeah Yeah it's it's wild and I mean I I do think this raises the you know the idea of a general strike because I mean clearly the fortune. Five hundred CEOS in the The government like every all the people who have the power clearly need You know Labor to To exist like they can't deal without labor and just with. After a week of people being quarantined they are like on their knees. Like begging people to go back to work and right It I've seen a bunch of tweets from people just being like it's almost like the thing that was driving. All the value was our labor. Shockingly well I think again to this shows you why. The media so fucked up to the emphasis. All the stories were looking at from the perspective of the moneyed class. It comes from. What do we do about the economy? It's not about more stories about. How can we circle around communities that are at risk right now about people who are not Able or disabled were not able to work even who can work even less now who have needs for children who can't because they were depending on things at school they pepper those stories in here and there is like a little puff pieces but then bring it back to like. Oh my God but the economy you know like when you really look look at that. It's like I don't that's not what. Actually stresses me out. I mean I I know there are people who are stressed out about the like the stock market aspect. But I'm like how are we? Why aren't we talking about how we can actually relieve the suction of capital from people? Who Right now. The thing they're feeling is like why have bills I have rent. That means. That's money coming up out my head up in a direction to somebody else. Who has more money than me? How can we relieve that pressure on responsibly? To say everybody hold the fuck up? Nobody's moving any money around right now until we figure this shit out unless you're buying gas or groceries that's the only ship money may be can be exchanged on but fuck phone bill. Fuck you rent. Fuck UTILITIES FUCK. These car payments. Fuck all this other stuff that's mostly owned by banks and shit like that. Why WHY ISN'T WHY. Aren't we having meaningful discussion like that on the news? But I think because they don't WanNa put out there the fucking what the game is like and that needs to be borrego straight. Yeah so all the thing about all the important economic news there is all the different like factors that influence the economy and to your point about the media. Think about that. There's an entire cable channel. Msnbc that is nothing but dedicated to the US economy and the only thing they pay attention to the stock market right. Yeah that's all you need to know about like how the media is just fully fully focused on the thing that influences like the people who live around them. It's all just like amid culture where the media saying like the thing they care about amid thing. That is absolutely devastating. The rest of the world. Like it's yeah and and I don't know we were talking about Last week it's hard to find like sources that feel reliable like now kind of than ever because you just have to kind of check yourself. It'd be like well but wait. What is like on the surface mom like but well? A lot of boomers are like Oh. Msnbc it's the lesser of two evils. But it's like no they have a vested interest in stuff. That's fucking you over. It's just an upper like to see like places like New Zealand Go into isolation with just one hundred cases of of combat in their country. And it's just kind of I don't know like their places that figured out like proper social safety nets to be like okay even if you're not working. There's a way to make this all work. That's not how this country works. I think just when you look at the news coverage and who dictates that like the money class people who probably have a ton of their wealth tied up in the stock market which is why they're shitting themselves because they lose tens of millions of dollars.

"I guess maybe the best list of SAR would be talking about like what Inertia Jay actually is? What problems does it try to solve? Especially Ashley with In comparison to the approach that we talked about las on the podcast. Yeah for sure. Let's let's dig in. So I think I think it actually works out pretty well kind of where this conversation ended last time and kind of where I went with that am kind of following that discussion So to recap a little bit which you already did A bit the whole idea that our the whole problem. I was trying to solve When we spoke last time was was really Trying to simplify my applications I was using I build my applications using Lavelle and I use blade read also use view whenever I need some sort of interactivity which in my applications I found that I want to use view more and more it was just just a very natural thing that happened in my apps I have a lot of. My apps are Pretty Standard Web APPs that have forms a lot of forms and what I wanted an often reach for view to kind of help me build those forms and build those pages I kind of not totally satisfied. Fight with what I can produce just Houston Classic Server side server side Tempting and form submissions. So what had happened is I would have my APP which would have all my road to my controllers that would render these blade templates so server side views which inside of them would contain some html and then in addition to that would also have a a certain amount of view components kind of Mixed in with that. HTML and that worked pretty good. This is pretty standard right But the problem that I faced faced with that is I was constantly juggling between my blade templates and my view templates owes I found myself self jumping back and forth from blade to my view components. And I found that like a very UN like Yeah it just didn't feel a very good way to it was kind of just an non efficient Sort of constantly having to shift the two different paradigms between like server side Renner template in language and a fully javascript rendering system. And I think the even the most annoying part was that I would have situations situations where I'd have a page in my APP that I needed to add some sort of simple javascript functionality to it and I would have to I found myself constantly taking these blade templates that I had written and having to convert them over to view templates and I found that kind of a painful process like oh I just want to add this one simple piece of functionality. shirow maybe it's some sort of conditional loading based on state or something else and now I have to go through the process of converting this template to view template. And I just I. I really didn't like that. I just kind of wanted to be able to get in make a change and not have a small little thing. Turn into an hour long job just because I happen to read it in blade originally so that really like pushed me so what. I ended up finding myself doing as this evolve. I ended up finding myself creating these page components so In view so I have these view page components. So what would end up happening. was I'd have my controller. which would render a blade template and that blade template would literally have like one an html element rendered in which was that that page view page component? And then from there I would go and just build the page in view you and it didn't really take long for me to realize that was kind of silly because I had all these into intermediary blade views views that literally did nothing more than just render this view template or yeah this view page component. So that's really what got me thinking. Well maybe there's kind of like a better way of doing this. So that the point of our last discussion. That's where I was at each one of these pages I actually think in in that article. I might have come up with a system where I actually rendered Actually basically created a single view blade view which would render out whatever component passwords. Actually in. Yeah so yeah so that sorry. I'm trying to remember how far I got in that at that stage age so and by what I was doing there is it was still essentially. Every single page load was a full service side. Page load And then I was what I was doing to Kinda give it even a bit more of like the SPCA feel So to avoid the full page loads was using turbo links and turbo links. If you're not familiar with it it's basically Away it's a way within your application to kind of like convert classic server side rendered application creation until like an SPCA and what it does. Basically hijacks click events like link click events and loads the next page. Whatever the pager can go oh too low to using Ajax and just does Does actually like some dom manipulation to replace Whatever the new pages or whatever the existing pages with the new page and it kind of handles all the the history state and whatever else Accordingly and that was cool it felt good it was because now I essentially had an SPA. But I was using kind of classic server side routing and controllers and all that but the the problem with that approach was that turbo links was really not designed for that turbo links was really designed for when you build applications that are fully server side rendered at this point I essentially had an application that was fully client side rendered. I just happened to be curbing it as a more classic basic services up with separate endpoints So it really was kind of like the wrong tool for the job because what ended up happening is turbo links. Just the way a works on every single page load it would completely destroy the current instance of view which are meant which meant on every single page visit. That view had to reboot so to speak and re initialized. And that created a flicker which I wasn't happy with it's amazing the lengths that all go to you as a web developer to avoid a page flicker it really earliest anyway. So that's I'm like how can I get away from this. Page flicker saw aw. I hacked around with her links and kind of the setup for quite a while and then I thought to myself you know what maybe the problem is. I shouldn't be returning. HTML on the subsequent page loads. And that's really when I had like this brainwave idea like well. What if on subsequent page low so the initial so page load it would obviously be an html kind of that that whole standard set up but on subsequent page loads when you click a link instead of returning a full html response? What if it only returned the data in needed for the next page which would be returned as Jason that somehow client side it would know how to replace the current page component with whatever the new page component own? It is right and then pass it whatever necessary props data that page component needs so. That's there's lots of detail in there but we that's a really kind of how how I got to this idea of inertia J s because at that point by doing it that way I could maintain the current view. Instance and in view has this feature I forget what it's called but I think it's it's called dynamic components where you can dynamically switch a component to some other component and And that's really kind of the the the the key feature that inertia uses to kind of make all this possible and that's a that's a feature available and other client side frameworks like Like react in Felton. Yeah well those. Those are the two that I know of that support. That yeah awesome. Yeah so that's a it's a pretty interesting approach for sure I think I think it's probably worth like talking about in a little bit more detail. The exact like song and dance. That actually happens because I think that'll help people understand exactly what you're trying to do. So I'll kind of explain. I guess like the way I understand. Did you tell me what I got right. And what's wrong the way that I understand. It is like so so kind of like your approach reason before inertia the very first response that you get from like your larval ob is basically the same that you would get with their previous approach. You make a request to the server some html all comes back in that html. There's like a a tag somewhere with like an APP. Id or something something that says like hey view. This is where you're going to mount onto and you have some data attributes on there that kind of says this is the compage component that you should be loading and like this is the props for for that. Should we passed into that page. And that's all stuff that comes from the server so in your controllers. You're basically instead of returning a traditional blade you you're you're basically returning a little data instruction that says this is the component. This is the props on. That should be used so you get that. HTML back Inertia his job at this point is Israeli. Just like sort of parsing out the information from your html like those data attributes and stuff and telling view like hey render this component and render it with these props so then view takes over boots up mount itself to that route element. renders the component there and stuff but then subsequent navigation is work. It's really

Biden holds lead in Democratic presidential contest as Harris is praised for debate performance

"Biden was hurt by his performance in the democratic debates kamala harris was helped but it's interesting politico was writing about this and the fact that kamala harris vaulted to second place overall in the in the polls in iowa right i which is everywhere this and i think it was overall i think is the national oh gotcha but then they also broke it out by over forty five and under forty five and it's crazy see how it's basically diametric opposites a it goes for people over forty five it goes biden at twenty nine harris seventeen warren thirteen sanders eight ends a fruit people under forty five it goes sanders twenty one percent harris eighteen warren seventeen and then biden thirteen so yeah i just it makes me wonder how much of biden in people's fear of bernie is you know pre cold war conditioning where it's just like services embed communism bed i think also too there's still that you know not all democratic voters are super woke to end biden is still kind of like oh yes hey like older christian white man is still in charge and they liked that version of like what the president is right i think seeing he looked like all the president's yeah exactly and i think just for the same reasons other people sort of like i think at a certain age they just aren't willing to say things like outlawed i think like when you look at even how the support goes if you ask those you like well what about biden's recor it on these things that for people of color any people who were just sort of aware of some of the problematic a policy that biden supported the guy doesn't really matter right so they're not in touch with that as being like a third rail issue whereas other voters are and i think that just sort of shows like they're like yeah that's a good thing that only people i don't know worry about yeah but in biden's of safe i mean obviously what they're kind of they're trying make biden of canada eight right but i mean the the the wealthy a dnc people right in a what he is he's doing he's still the front runner right he's still in front overall but he he was in front by like huge percentages before the debates and i took a huge huge hit it's basically coming down the like more neck and neck like he's up four percentage points as opposed to like fourteen writing percentage points in polls 'em i after those top four by the way i was surprised to see the the next closest in this poll is mayor pete with four percent yeah he's falling off yeah defense like other policies definitely getting up a bigger share also so it all kind of areas but i think when you look at just sort of his performance in the debate in how much twitter engagement there was with him after and like how much googling of him occurred to write finding out about it sounds like he's yeah they're starting to percolate a little bit over there on that side yeah

Fiat Chrysler Withdraws From Renault Deal

"Fiat Chrysler has decided to withdraw its offer to merge with the French carmaker Renou, according to people familiar with the matter. The company decided to pull out after the French government resisted, the deal due to a lack of support from Nissan. Nissan is in an alliance with Renault to find out more. I rang up Nick cost of in Paris, who's been closely following the deal. So Nick, what happened what happened? Good question suit, essentially, what we have is deal between we have FCA proposing to merge with Reynaud. However, Renner has been in tonight's with Nissan for twenty years, and therefore shares of many parts platforms is fairly integrated with Nissan, now, the French states decided that it would not back this deal without the explicit approval and without the explicit support of Nissan and Nissan. Has not really been involved in negotiations. Nissan, essentially abstained on the votes and said, we need more time to study how this would affect business and for the French state that wasn't good enough. They wanted me Santa vote. Yes. And so, different states, proposed delay said let's try and work with Nissan to try and get them on board and will reconvene in five days and at this point, John Alcon, who's the controlling shareholder if he at Chrysler decided to pull the deal of pool his proposal, and so the deal Fennell has fallen apart. What has the Chrysler said, well fee Chrysler fuse, and the deal is, is not possible with the with the French state at the moment, because they've been in negotiations with the French state for the past week, different state has been asking for a number of concessions, for example, once a board seat on the new entity. It wanted a four year term for the news CEO of the. Company, and he wanted that to be Reynaud chairman. There was a number of other things. And so see at Christ is essentially saying, we've had enough of the French states demands, this has become untenable, and we can't do a deal when east conditions, and what does the failure of this deal mean for the car industry in Europe? And in the US, does it help rivals, like maybe Volkswagen, perhaps, I mean, it's very difficult to tell at this stage in the US, this would have meant said Nissan, getting together with Chrysler in a way, which which would obviously bought brands like ramen Jeep closer closer with the Nissan's. So that doesn't seem like it's going to happen now. I mean what it means I guess, for the car industry is, if you speak to end this most of them think that Fiat Chrysler needs a deal right now and because then they haven't invested enough in future technologies, I'm so we'll see who they end up with whether it's another French call maker of maybe Paju, or whether

"Also, check them out on social media at wamu more played all right into some couples news. This is interesting lady Gaga has been spending time with Jeremy Renner interesting. I have a lot of thoughts on this. I I clearly now see a pattern. She goes. After guys that remind her of her father how so because Jeremy Renner and her ex Christian look like her dad may do them. But those to do I think, okay? A lot of girls. Do don't they? Do you look your girlfriend's debt? I don't think so dark hair. I guess we're both handy baby. I don't know. However, there's nothing wrong with just having fun. I think she may want to be having fun because she just got out of a longterm relationship. They were engaged now. She's I think it's just that she's spotted with somebody and she's famous it. Why don't hang out with another famous person? But maybe they're just hanging there hanging make it most likely onto some drama with Wendy Williams. Oh, I love this. Once again, I am very disappointed with Wendy Williams. Because let me explain why she revealed to her viewers that she's been living in a sober living facility in conscious. Great that she's open felt felt that she would be supported or felt that it was going to be healthy for her or. So you thought the only reason? Season. She told her audience was because they were contacted Wendy's team by this British newspaper the Daily Mail saying we have photos of Wendy at the sober living facility, and we're getting ready to report this. So it was almost like her hand was forced if they hadn't reached out. I doubt she would have told her audience know, she doesn't really oh it to them. And I'm not sure if that's how the program works. If you're actively working at your on TV that you tell everybody where you are. And what you're dealing with. I I don't think it's mandatory. It's a really rare instance when you have a job like that where you report on other people that do that. So that's where the that's where the rub is a little bit where you kind of feel like, hey, do it to other people. You might wanna have said something yourself. I that's the rub. I don't blame her for not saying anything or waiting till the last minute. But I understand if you feel kind of a little cheated if that's the right way to put it. I think that it's apparent now that if I'm her fan her audience member, I can't trust her because she said that she had been gone all this while because of grave's disease, you feel like you've been lied to. Yeah. Yeah. You know, she could have if she didn't want to reveal why she could've just said for health issues. She could've just said, I'm dealing with family matters. But the literal excuse that was given was grave's disease. Now, we're finding out. She's relapsed has stayed in his Hobart sober living facility. The daily mail's reporting an addiction to pills that she started to have to take after suffering. An injury allegedly the result of domestic violence from her husband, according to the report and also drinking alcohol, but Peres addicts are liars..

"Sports. Good morning Renner boy was a tough day for the thunder defense yesterday that the four had no answer for the Celtics in general or Kyrie Irving in particular Boston shot almost sixty percent for that game. But Oklahoma City still had a chance to pull it out in the closing seconds. But are Russell Westbrook turnover in traffic killed that the loss tonight thriller one thirty four to one twenty nine Irving had thirty points on fourteen of nineteen shooting, plus eleven assists Westbrook recorded his six straight triple double with twenty two points, twelve rebounds, sixteen helpers Paul George let Oklahoma City with thirty seven points thunder shot forty nine percent overall forty percent on threes. But Josh could not get enough stops to get the win Oklahoma City back home tomorrow night to play the Orlando Magic that will be the first of seven home games out of the next eleven contests. The thunder. I've had a lot of road games lately. So now the schedule headed back the other way tip off tomorrow night, a little after seven o'clock on Fox Sports. Oklahoma turned out to be a grinded out defensive slugfest in the Super Bowl and Tom Brady and the New England Patriots picking up their sixth win in the big game. Beating the LA Rams thirteen to three Brady said it was the pats best defensive showing all season. And Rams coach Sean McVeigh said New England that a lot of different things on that side of the ball. You know, they had played almost exclusively some man coverage principles and decided to take take away and really in the early down. So they ended up doing was, you know, plant some single high bus structures in some quarters principles. And then, you know, third down designers and things like that. But they did a great job as a great game plan. And you know, no other way to say it, but I I got out coach tonight with the game tied at three patriots tight end rob gronkowski at a spectacular. Catch midway through the fourth quarter to set the patriots up inside the five yard line. Go ahead TD afterwards. He was asked if this would be his last season, mid all the retirement rumors. I haven't thought about that. This isn't at.

"Then I mean, you're talking to right now, masking real surreal right mentioning the Britney Renner also media is not the real Brittany Renner. How could that be? I'm asking you the vantage you get on Instagram is the real vent. I mean that is a part of me. It's not separate. But to say, that's me mine. Tired like absolutely not. Absolutely, which parts are exaggerated. I mean, they're parts. Anna, and Jim that's real life. What what was on Instagram? Would you say are not or the exaggerated parts which parts do people misconstrue? I would say the yelling, I don't like to yell like an average conversation. You're absolutely I believe in just healthy dialogue and just going back and forth. So when I'm yelling and screaming it like hurts. My head to do that. This is a lot of energy now. Touching some nurse here. Now, the book is just this cover like like you said seven different lesson. Seven different men. We're not going to name any of the actual guys. Because you don't aim them in the books all the speculation that people are doing online, we can leave that for them. Winded because a lot of the guys in this book are famous, and there's a certain reaction to or they seem famous. There's a certain reaction to tell all books or books that talk about sexual relationships with people that they didn't really give you permission to talk about and stuff like that. Or not permission that you didn't consult them and talking about what has been the reaction for you personally in terms of people giving you their pains on you right in the book and talking about stuff like that just men that I've dealt with or just people in general. Well, they're definitely judging the book, which is what we wanted. It's definitely tied into something that it's not. I mean, I've gone on Instagram and said that I have fucked twenty four guys twenty six now. More numbers. And I write about seven of them. So how is it a tell all if it's only out like thirty percent of his? You're not saying their names either. So let me ask you this though to that question is it until all if you write about the seven guys out of twenty six that people will care about you having sex with these were seven significant relationships that change the direction of my dating life. They were significant to me and was not because they're famous because they were important. No. Because a lot of good stories like they just they weren't relearn relevant. They just were. A scant. Right. But it what that's not again. It wasn't written from this place of like just to star the pot and wanna talk about every guys suck and swallowed like it's not about that. So was it. Why was it important for you to write the book, treat them? What do you mean? I have felt like I've been a prisoner to a lot of things that have happened to me. And after being therapy for three years. I had a choice. I could either like, okay, I've learned all of these things and I can move on. Or I can talk about them because I believe truth is stranger than fiction. So for me some like, I couldn't make this shit up. Even if I wanted to I could sit my whole life and try to come up with this. And I just couldn't these things that happened to me that. I found myself still talking about like still beat when I talked about it. I could still feel it. So when if you still feel something something can still provoke emotion. It's like you have to address it. So for me, I sat with this book a really long time. I it was a lot of inner work for me to even be able to speak from a somewhat objective place to be able to say this is what I learned because for a long time. I just saw the disappointments I did not see anything that was educational to it. I always official. Yeah. I'm just like this hurts and being a big hearted person. It's hard to understand. It doesn't matter if your dating someone one hundred million or a hundred dollars, I have genuine heart, and it just has been really tumultuous just dating in this realm because a lot of the men that I've come across very empty..
