"Because he, he makes them kind of thing like this has to happen because Blah. Blah Blah, but like I don't. Know we're GonNa like join lizzy afraid. No is GONNA join eve. Once. He got exposed for all the lies that he'd done in all the killing done. Maybe. I don't know they. They don't really explain that. They also don't really explain what Agnes does. After that like. That's the last kind of like major as true income that she has on the entire narrative. We don't ever seen as do we now. Nor do we really see like what it was? That motivated her to kill her own. Brother aside from him turning on Adam, but it's like. In, the larger scheme of things like your brother, who served him faithfully this whole time. Father says like I've had enough of this. Guys lies your leg time to kill my brother. That's a little bit of a loose end I think for me, But. Yeah, it's like Claudia I feel there's something there's something there with Claudia with the fact. That Wadia is outside of the Family Circle Right, which is why Regina exists there. In the end of the origin, world because Claudia also continued to exist so I think. There's something there that she would have been. The only person who could figure it out not only because. She's able to sort of step outside of the family tree without any like skin in the game aside from keeping her daughter trying to find a way to keep her daughter alive, but also like Claudia is presumably insanely smart like she was about ahead of the the nuclear power plants I'm like. Is it just this like magic combination of her being? Super equipped to understand what's going on like on a physical well, I'm level. She was also lucky that her prime motive directive was tied to the origin world. Because it's not the she could save her daughter in any of the darker light worlds, right, it's that the power plant never got built into origin world. So, she never has presumably she somehow spread that radiation from. Her work to home and that's how she got cancer. So like. E was trying to stop Adam which led to Adam's creation. Adam is trying to stop eve which led the eve's creation. They're trying to save each other's perspective worlds, but neither of those worlds could survive. What Claudia wanted was a save her daughter, and that happens in the prime world. So that's one of the reasons why she was able to break because what she wanted broke the loop like just by default automatically. Right, yeah, also this brings up my by far biggest gripe, okay, 'cause. I got I got one more to I'm trying to think how to phrase we what you got. I need to know how the hell burned. Doppler is Regina's father. Which? Never explained in the show, it's just like on the website now and I'm like he was an old. He was a fully grown man when Claudia was a child. So are you telling me that Claudia got to be like eighteen and burned. Doppler was like forty five in like all right time to strike and win had sex with Claudia. The never claimed. Regina's daughter Trans Dimensional grooming. I yeah. I man I. Thought I started to see an explanation for how this could be, but I didn't. might have been tab that I actually closed or something because like when I go through like any of these darker Westworld sub read I ended up with like thirty-seven. Tabs Open. But yeah, I guess what, but someone someone. There was something about like a line of dialogue. Between In season three, okay, yeah, are so you know what I'm talking about? Yeah, we see the year like nineteen, fifty, three or nineteen, fifty four again Claudius Twentieth. Claudius a child who I guess is like seeing Toronto's Weiner occasionally. Up until this at Toronto in her was the father. To himself thinks that he might be. Regina's father interest. Let yes, there's there is a scene which again. I didn't pick up until my rewatch once I knew that burned doppler was I guess Regina's father where he is a grown man, and he like comes home, and he's like on the phone like yelling about the power plant in the other room, and he comes out of the room and cheese in their hallway and he's like. Oh, though sorry, and then he's like Oh Claudia. You're looking so grownup so beautiful so smart and I was like this is the crazy ever seen. Oh! And then he like gives her money and she's like that's too much money and he says something like. Like. Learn this lesson now like like you have to take what you want. You can't wait for people to like. Hand it to your something, which again means really crippling coming own man who we know is going to have sex with young girls. Future Wow, yeah! Yeah. What the Hell by me! You know what fucking weird? Shit, happen the show all the time I wonder if some kind of sick Mundus the manipulation or something. I again. I like of all the of all like the unresolved storylines. I think that one is going to bother me the most for the rest of time because I'm like that is a huge like. That just feels like a big thing to not like outright. Confirm within the show and then confirm. With what would be the problem with Toronto? Being the father because like I'm the that seems like that would be. was there something that would like? Make that not work in some kind of medical, because then Regina would be tied into the. I wonder if that's just like they had to. Like it was like Oh you know you've got. You need a clean branch that can survive the the the origin going back to the origin world, or this doesn't make sense, and they're like Oh shit when. Possibly so many there are so many other characters who we don't have confirmed. And faces of parents for like we don't know who Peter dopplers mother brain. Some random person yeah the. Significant to the plot right and we don't know who Katerina's father is just know that he's not around when she's a teenager 'cause we only ever see her mother, who's like beating the crap out of her room. So like I, I think that I guess the reason why I have a gripe with it is because they went out of their way to confirm it on this website, whereas they could have just left in a mystery in the show. Looking at the family tree that has like in stone on her floor at Angel Entry by the partner Yeah it says. That Toronto Nielsen is Regina's father. I wonder if they realized they painted themselves into a tim portal corner and just read conned on the website. Because Exist in the finale in absolutely has to exist because if she doesn't then Claudia's chasing ghosts like Adam and Eve were. And I be such an easy did like you know like is that? Is that the one like irresolvable flaw? That like they decide to go get always. They could always just like well. You Know Eve did know how she not know. How would these people not know that to certainty with all the time traveling and manipulations and stuff that they're doing? There is a scene in season three year old. Claudia is old Tronto. And like. Says I wish you were. The father, so maybe everybody else has always assumed the Toronto was the father including Martha Slash Eva and Claudia was the only one. Who knew the truth? which again is why she would have been the only person that's one of secrets of the diary. She ripped out or something so they would. would know although, I don't know how that would affect again i. don't understand why Noah was so angry or I don't. I can't see how. Or maybe that's other things like Claudia Prime. The Super Claudia had another page or to that even Noah didn't know about. Maybe I mean I mostly read Noah's anger, not at what he was looking at on the page, but wasn't there, which was that he like Adam straight up told him that those pages. We're going to give him the location of Charlotte. and. They weren't there and that's why. I was so pissed, but that doesn't explain why. Adam needed those pages so badly. Well actually maybe it does because. Maybe, at that point Adam didn't know the origin. And those pages explain the origin, and then that's how the next formation of his plan goes of like okay great. Now I'm going to kidnap Martha to her and the baby inside of her. Stop doing the other thing I guess. It's kind of confusing now. I've seen. Everything is like this paradise. Theology. The atom was pushing. That mean to him and his followers and I'm not sure why like Magnus Francesca embarked Bartoshuk ever go along with like paradise literally just like Hey, a world where all this fucked up stuff didn't happen or was it like? I. I. There's an interesting like that's another thing is.

How "Lil' Ol' Clemson" Overcame the Odds

"Here today to talk about Little Clemson. First of all where where did that name come from. Davos swinney has been using it basically since he took over as the head coach back in two thousand eight and I know we're not supposed to be here. We're does willow beer but we about the Tigers man. I'm so proud and just quickly remind us. How much has little clemson accomplished in the last five years? And how do those accomplishments stack up against some of the all-time great teams. This will be their fourth national championship game in the past five years and obviously they have won. Two of the past three national championships backpedaling Lawrence flips absorb open wide open just native. Where's the pen strengthens? Its the championship game really witnessing one of the all-time great runs right. After or maybe you know in conjunction with the dynasty that Alabama has had attack territory with very likely a victory formation and a fifty fifth win but this clemson senior class. The Tigers Tigers reclaimed their crowd by four Alabama. We are really truly talking about one of the great runs. We've seen in this sport and yet they seemingly get no respect at least if you listen into what Dabo Sweeney has to say we win to the team that beat South Carolina. And it's we we get clemson out. It's the dad gummed state so it's big because you know they can't vote us out. I mean we gotta we gotTA WE GOTTA go thirty. You know I mean we got no choice forced but Stewart I wanted to talk to you about some of the things Clemson has had to overcome to get where they are today because in some ways it makes her accomplishments even more remarkable. So let's start with the schools location. This is a school that is in the tiniest towns announced in college football. The main drag is a half mile if that they have one of everything and only one of everything one starbucks Fox Walmart. You've got this eighty thousand seat stadium hundred fifty thousand people rolling into the town on the weekends. it's incredible bull and but then they all leave. You know Monday through Friday. We kind of have our own world and it's named Clemson. It's not named university. University of their state and Frankly University of South Carolina has a much bigger fan base in that state. CLEMSON's not even the biggest Followed team in their own state. And I imagine it's harder to build that fan support when you don't have the state name in your school's name 'cause fans can identify so strongly with the state there from. Yeah I mean obviously the one big exception in College Football History Notre Dame that has a true national following but that goes all the way back to the nineteen twenties and and new rockne is taking them on the train and playing games all around the country. It's truly unique when you think about the kinds of programs that we're used to seeing at the top of the polls the Alabama is the Ohio states. It's the US's these are schools with big huge national fan. Bases Clemson truly is still even with all the success mostly a regional school well and a lot of people might not realize this but clemson has had to recruit locally for the most part I mean. It's remarkable if you look at their roster. How many of the guys as our from North and South Carolina Georgia in Tennessee every program? You know the the core of their recruiting class is going to be in their backyard. But clemson's up until recently. He was almost entirely from their backyard. And really that mirrors Funston as a school their alumni base something like seventy percent of the alums live in three states South Carolina North Carolina and Georgia. This is not the kind of place where anywhere in the country you go. You're going to find clumps in Bar And one other big thing. That's working against Clemson. Is They play in the ACC weaker conference where where they don't really have a rival and it's almost like people forget about clemson during the regular season because you know they don't have very many marquee games. Yeah everybody watched. Trevor Lawrence and Travis E. T. N. and and T- Higgins in last year's national championship game and saw how great they they were and then the season starts in people. Stop watching the game. They played against Texas. Ain't ammon week to was the most watched game they played this season A little over six million viewers. That was not even one of the top twenty most watch games in college football this season. And if you look at that list of the top Twenty Games Ohio Hi oh state was in five of them. LSU was in four of them Michigan. who wasn't even all that good was in three of them? When talks about lack of respect the thing that bothered him most is this year? was that none of those star players Trevor Lawrence WHO everybody assumes will be the number one pick when he's coming off his junior season travis? CTN has been one of the best running backs in the country the last three years. None of those guys made the heisman ceremony. And none of those guys were even finalists for the award for the best is player at their position in. That's not because they're not great players. It's because nobody watched them this season. How has clemson been able to overcome some of these kind of systemic? Systemic challenges. The fact that they aren't this historical powerhouse. The fact that they're in this tiny town in the middle of nowhere South Carolina would have been the keys to to them building this program into what it's become. Yeah well it really all starts Dabo swinney. He is a extremely unique personality in college. Football one moment along the way that I think have stuck with everybody was Dave beat Notre Dame in practically a monsoon in twenty fifteen regular season and they interview him after the game on. ABC what nine listen. We're giving scholarships give you stipends in tails in a place to live. We're giving nice uniforms. I give you good service tonight. It was big. Well Gee Bring Your own God put some dads and to me that personifies daboh like. That's not something. Most coaches coaches would say in a post game interview and kind of set the tone I think from their Dabo. Swinney is the fun coach. He's the coach who when they built their new football facility. They put in a PUTT. PUTT course welcome to the outdoor pavilion miniature. Golf Renfro just happened to catch the game winner in the National Championship Against Alabama. We'll see what he's got here. Your place on Punsalan rest for the weary. We'll at hunter and so that became their brand there. The Fun School there the place you want to go if you WANNA play college. Football get an education education and have a lot of fun doing it and to amplify that message. Clemson was really ahead of the curve. I think With how they used social media to appeal to recruits they are constantly putting out videos And other images that show exactly that that show that take you inside side. The Locker Room and inside the facility in show you how much fun they're having Show you Dabo swinney dancing in the locker room after a win Stewart. How would you describe Devil's dance? Moves dance moves are about a clunky and awkward as you'd expect from a middle aged dude but but certainly in keeping with his his personality. There's also a video that they posted of Disney filming a football ball movie at Clemson last night. Any five thousand people here. We have to shoot three plays and the entrance from valley in a half of a half time. Half time the real players went off the field and a whole bunch of actors and Clemson. Uniforms came running onto the field and the and the the crowd cheered them on. And and you know made it seem like a real football game and the footage is going to be spectacular. It's one of the three loudest crowds in Clemson visit history. And what role has the rest of the Clinton coaching staff played in the rise of the Tigers when Dab oh I started getting a going at Clemson they weren't a national powerhouse yet. They were starting to get better. He did something that was a little unusual at the time and basically took a lower salary for himself in order for them to spend more on. assistant coaches. Because at that time. They weren't necessarily rolling in money like some of the programs that they were trying to compete against. They they were paying their coordinators top dollar money and those coordinators played a huge role. I mean they were the ones that certainly Chad. Morris was the one that recruited and coach Sammy Watkins Skins and certainly does Shawn Watson. The guys that got this run started now. They are rolling in money. An data was making nine million dollars a year. And that's you know that there's no longer a disadvantage for Clemson. But they were very smart about how they went about managing that in the early years of this run.

Hey, brain, Steph, Lauryn balk here. Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night keeps your loyal mailman for making their daily rounds in their powder. Blue shirt, grey shorts and occasionally awesome safari hat. But how exactly did your trustee mail carrier get signed the specific route, and how long are they stuck with it? The US postal service was established by the constitution. And the first postmaster general was named by George Washington in seventeen eighty nine. The new country was served by seventy five post offices, delivering to four million people. According to sue Brennan at the United States postal service your mail carriers. Current route is one of more than seventy four thousand world postal routes and nearly one hundred forty five thousand city routes across the nation, the longest single root in America is magnum Oklahoma where a well traveled world carrier drives a hundred and eighty three miles. That's two hundred ninety four kilometers every day to serve two hundred and forty eight customers the shortest route is an Athens, Georgia where a city. Carrier walks nine hundred fifty feet that's two hundred eighty nine meters to make two hundred and Eighty-one deliveries. We spoke with Brian Renfro. He's a second-generation letter carrier from Hattiesburg Mississippi currently serving as the executive vice president of the national association of letter carriers, a labor union, representing America's two hundred thousand city postal workers Renfro explained to us the process by which an individual postal route is designed and assigned for starters, Redford says rural carriers and city carriers have different systems for determining the size of a route a rural carriers route is much more consistent, and they are paid for the amount of time. It takes them to complete the root for city carriers. The guiding principle of design is for carrier to complete the route in his close to eight hours as possible. As you can imagine. And it our route looks a lot different depending on your location in a dense urban center full of highrise apartments. It might take a postal worker. Eight hours to service a couple of blocks out in the suburbs. Another postal worker might walk and Dr miles delivering to single family homes. The size and dimensions of each route are calculated using a combination of computer based mapping software and old fashioned on the ground experience. Renfer said the postal service has a computer program that maps the exact location of every delivery point not just this houses here, but we're the mailbox is in this program uses a number of algorithms to try to generate the most efficient way to travel the route based on the time value that's assigned to each street the computers timing of the root is just a starting point though. After that, it's the postal manager's job to account for reality. Which includes all the variables that can impact the time. It takes to complete a route. There are seasonal fluctuations and mail volume. There's inclement weather there's road construction and new home construction and the very human differences between one carrier and the next Renfrewshire said some letter carriers are tall some are short. Some are young some are older. Some are fasters are slower. There are all sorts of variables that play into it. There's no set time to deliver mail at a particular house the post. Oh carrier has to spend a few hours sorting the mail into trays before heading out on their route the trays correspond to the order of the root. If the house is head of you on the route happened to be heavier on male than usual on any given day. The letters may get to your box later then on another day. Even if the weather is good, and there's no road construction or other delays keeping the roots as close to eight hours as possible requires regular adjustments postal managers will conduct six day route inspections to accurately time each part of the letter carriers day from the daily morning sorting to the on the street delivery to hanging up their bag at night. If carriers day is stretching closer to eight and a half hours. The postal manager will slice off a portion of that route and divvied up among nearby carriers with lighter loads that explains why you might see a new face on your route every couple of years. Otherwise, these ending roots at any given post office is done by seniority when route is vacated the carrier quits or retires. Or a new one is created all the carriers office. Get to bid on the roots the carrier with the most seniority wins. If you've had the same letter carrier for a long time that probably means you're part of a desirable route or those cookies, you gave them on national postal worker day, July first are really paying off. In addition to the long-term route adjustments that are made every few months or years. The postal service also makes short-term route fixes when letter carriers show up to work every morning. They look at the day's mail volume and make an estimate of how long it will take complete their assigned route. Maybe it's a snow day or a day after a government holiday. So the delivery volume is doubled. If they know it's going to take more than eight hours. They can either volunteer for overtime overtime sign ups are every three months or the supervisor can assign a portion of the route to other carriers for the day Renfro notes that though this may sound simple in practice. It can get complicated. Fast individual post offices in big cities, like New York, Los Angeles. Boston might have two hundred three hundred letter carriers to manage each with hundreds of changing customers to deliver to. Franmil Reyes is the Padres' Most Promising Hitter

"The hitter that captured my attention was the cleanup hitter for the Padres. They have five alford's that I think are worthy of playing regularly. But Fran Marais is not a luck. He batted cleanup hit a couple rope doubles in this game. He's so big and strong. And if you look at his numbers from last year, you can see a path to thirty home runs. If he just gets five hundred bats, I have to think that Myers is San Diego's left fielder. The center field is going to be some combination of man while Margot who's good defensively and France credential who can really hit he was number five hitter. I think hunter run frozen some danger here playing time people are going to be drafting him based on last year's numbers. I think from Ray race maybe can do better than Renfro where your thoughts there. I think he could I think the the ceiling if he hits it or even comes close to it is up there above Renfrew Renfro. I mean, he's got big power. But I don't think there's an awful lot mortar was game. I think Ray is might be potential the more complete player. I was impressed as well. By what I saw from him. There were two things that stood out. One is that I wasn't really expecting him to play the extent he wasn't spring games. At this stage of the year. I worried about whether the Padres would take it slowly with him. And maybe they're starting in the minors on the DL to begin the year. This is a good sign that he's hitting well and playing this early. The other thing too is there's the opportunity as you said Travis Jankowski with his injury clearing up some space in that outfield race could very well. Make the team as a result of that alone. And if you want a a super geeky status to why raise the so intriguing thanking stat of the day. It's three hundred and fifty point one foot average fly ball distance last year was fifth best among players with at least two hundred and fifty plate appearances. I think race might be out Renfro for the right field job. I might just rank them better at this point and Margot. I can't even make the case from our go anymore.

"But also where the town can step into the country. However, springtime brings a special notice to this business in the community. And we're going to talk to our friend the owner, Mr David Blackley, firm, Renfro hardware. David, welcome to the Carolina outdoors. Hello bill. Great to hear from you again. Well, it's always it's always fun to talk to you. And and learn a little bit from you. And we want to find out what's happening now. It's not quite you know, easter's up ahead. Spring breaks all of those sorts of things. But in the world of hardware. What is the hot stuff that people are coming in for right now? Well between the reins, and everybody's trying to get ahead on what they're actually behind on the first benchmark of early spring has Valentine's Day, there's a lot of planning and pre emergence and all that sort of thing that you do and then the niche markets ACC tournament weekend. So there's certain length you just gotta do by them. So we're we're seeing the weekend warriors and having a great time. Spring is coming you can tell from the trees and believes in the weeds that they're beginning to pop out. So it'll just be another wild crazy spring horse as always. Well, I wanna talk to you a little bit about that. Because it's been crazy. I mean a hundred and twenty year old business you have seen it not that you've been there all one hundred twenty years lucky you. But there has been a wild transition. It's happened at Renfrew hardware in other businesses. Like that in regards to not just being a hardware store. You're also kind of an urban farming headquarters your place of education that you're famous for really your staff is known for providing advice as people take on new challenges new projects new things. But will you talk to us about that? And what's happened at Renfrew hardware over the course of even the last thirty years or so, well, we just have a good time doing what we already had been doing what we sort of knew what to do. But the public has gotten a lot more interested in vegetable gardening, and baby chickens and fruit trees, and blueberries, and that sort of thing a lot of it is is dot driven people want to eat healthy food. So it's. It's more about the backyard food production all the small-farm urban farm super and flower production than it is about long. So everybody likes to loans, but we don't see the loan excited. People like we see the vegetable and flower and fruit excited people, and it's it's all ages. But but it's great to see the young people interested in it and the children interested in it. Because that's gonna mean that it's going to go for a long time. This is not a fad. This is this is definitely sort of the norm for a lot of people in their home lives. Well, and not to take you back twenty years. But did did some of it pop up with the y two k you remember when we turn the corner into the new century nineteen ninety nine and Alarcon our computers are going to blow up when hit zero. And that sort of thing was summit that maybe the ground swell of what we're enjoying now. Twenty years later as people prepared for the end of times and wanted to. Subsist on things that they grew their their own self or maybe they were fighting allergies and got into the Honey business through that. Is is it been that March with the new millennium? It's really sort of started with the really with the hippie movement sort of the back to nature movement in the sixties and seventies. There was a renewed interest in it. And then the certainly that y two k crowd certainly got the awareness raised up people balled up supplies. They felt they needed. And and some of them ended up getting used a lot of ended up probably going to yard sales. But it it definitely. Waked up the population to the fact that there there are some reasons you need to be a little more self sufficient in your food and in your ability to at least turn all a lantern in your house. If you don't have electric, and I think it really grew somewhat from that. But it's really more about food people dot needed to change. And we're we see this now in the restaurant quality in the last twenty years in Charlotte. Think about what we had to eat twenty years ago compared to now let's see it in the even in the school lunches have gotten better. So I still go back that it's more about help than it is about survival of the end of the world. Well, Renfro hardware, certainly is the place to make those wishes come true throughout probably middle school and high school. I had a garden in my grandmother's backyard, and certainly a number of seeds and soil fortification different items came from the store, but not. Only is Renfro 's a store, but also a place of education. What what about your staff, you know, they are a collection of knowledge and advice and classes, y'all offers so many what what are some classes that we can take. And how could we sign up? Well, we've got the next few classes were doing in the spring or through an organization real interesting organization. It's all skill pop. Sti L P O P skill pop offers classes and interesting venues all around Charlotte, and you go to their website. So we're doing a beginning gardening, which is already already sold out in about two hours. I think once you announce it online what we're doing another beginning gardening sometime in April. I couldn't even tell you exactly when my daughter manager that we're doing a beginning chicken class. So that's just an April. So if you go to skill pop you'll see the class there. And then we'll do our own sort of the summer when it slows down, whether it's flower arranging or or we're talking about doing one on garden to repair to put handles and tools and sharpen tools. So there's just a real need for people to learn and all of the staff here and do that we, unfortunately. Or fortunately, how you look at it. We're all old. We don't have really any young people. So we all have sort of been there done that on a lot of these projects and love to help people. We wouldn't have stuck out of this long. We'd like to teach. We've got David Blackley from Renfro hardware here on the Carolina outdoors with the outdoor gas from Jesse Brown's. I'm Bill Bharti sitting alongside Christopher line and kind of learning a little bit about the hardware store if you will and how it's made its way into being a leader of urban farming in our area a lot of people converge. Not just from Mecklenburg in Union County. But from all over the place down to historic Matthews downtown Matthews, if you will to pay a visit to the Renfro hardware, but David this is a multi generational thing. Not just you and your wife are handling these sorts of things. Now, there's a subsidiary, and I like to say that because it just sounds so good if you will to Renfro froze hardware called Rin froze farm, so along with all the transition at the hardware store. The farm has come about with I guess nine acres or more that are being managed by Presley. We talk to us about the farm, and it's. Association with the community and hardware store. Yes. That's that's the one young rockstar. Matthew my daughter, but went to state an engineering graduate decides she didn't want to be in his near. She wanted to be a flour vegetable farmer. So she came back into the family business sort of on the deal that we would carve out a separate kind of an entity for her and she was about two blocks away. Most of the time doing the the urban farm, which was awesome Renfrew family land. When Mr. info dot here ten years ago. He left us the land back to the store and the way to keep it productive and keep the taxes down was to keep it in agriculture. So we're doing that we do some of our classes there she primarily does wedding flowers and vegetables, but we sell here at the store and on her website and our newest employers for six months old dollar my granddaughter now, and they were up there together harvesting flowers this morning. So personally does work some here in the spring and the greenhouse and doing our seat orders groped at all growing up. So she's been here since you'll probably twelve years old. And that's a lot of fun. So Mondays and Tuesdays I work for her arm and then Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturdays. For me here. So it's a good trade off. And it's been very successful. Well, how has people taken to all of that? Because I guess they in business. I would call that vertically integrating or if you will because you've got a supplier who's just a couple of blocks down not only just a daughter and grandchild there, but they are also a supplier to the hardware store in which he's in there when that sort of things going on does that bring added life and energy into into Renfro hardware and into the community as a supplier. Absolutely. Some of the restaurants in town. We if we deliver produce the restaurants that has to be within walking distance. We basically deliver with a hand truck instead of a car, and there's there's enough of that in town, but Presley has done all of our website for the store in the hardware for the farm, and we didn't have much of a web presence until she came along. And that's just sober just helped us announce our classes has helped us. People people order online find out about these, weddings. And I'm just amazed at how local flowers is a big deal now, so like local food became a big deal eight or ten or fifteen years ago. So it's been a lot of fun, and well so much more life and color energy to the business. And it's been great that we can raise another little girl. I raised all three of my daughters in this business. My wife, and I did now we've got another little girl that I think gonna be hanging around here. So it it definitely has put new life into the business and and customers they appreciate that. And understand that family businesses are a little different than box stores. But we have a great time at it. Well on your website right now, and you can see the twenty nineteen chick. Arrival calendar is posted. And the news announcement that the Irish seed potatoes have arrived for planting David really quickly. You can find anything in the store from various sizes of Cork's to heirloom seeds. What is? Your favorite product that a lot of people may not know that Renfro hardware carries. Oh, gosh. That's hard. I think I think probably the most fun is the Honey. Up at our farm. We have about eighty beehives, which is just a couple blocks away. We have a beekeeper that helps us do all the work. We started out. We couldn't get good crops. The first year we grew up there. We couldn't get the squashes and pumpkins and deals because of lack of honeybees honeybees a real scare. So we got rid of our support can house up there, and it just greatly increased our yield. And then we found out that the leftovers the Honey from the more popular than the vegetables. We built three thousands of pounds of Honey. And that's just been such a great thing, if the bees are happy and healthy that means vegetables will be happy helping our in our environment happy and healthy..

"We have a special guest of hotline. Mike Renfro is the interim head coach for beech grove high school in their basketball program. Mike, thank you so much for joining us here. I wish this were a better occasion. You were talking to us for coach Matt English lost his life earlier today, a long battle with brain cancer. Mike, you knew coach English really really, well, tell me a little bit about the coach tell you. What Jason you're talking about a brother father mentor that we all looked up to? Had such a such an impact not only on myself, but the kids here bistro high school in the whole community of beach, grow just in outstanding loyal person to be around. Such a good, man. A great man, Mike his story his fight against his brain cancer. It feels like it captivated the entire community. And even though we live in kind of a divided time of Republicans and Democrats and this and that it feels like everybody kind of got on the same page. Everybody was behind the coach. Why do you think that is? I mean, he's a leader. The things that he embodied in told here at the beach real high school, not only just for basketball. But like I said every student in the school who wouldn't want to rally behind a guy like that. You know at times, even when he was doing his treatments with the radiation and the chemo the person in coach wanted to do was get into practice, and he's such a go getter. A outstanding individual, man. It's just a. It's just can't compare a guy to superman, and if you could this guy right here would definitely be the closest thing to a coach Nigel here. How's the team doing our how're the guys doing? And how are you able to lead them through this? Tell you one thing this morning Nigel was it was probably one of the toughest things that. Had to do so far as as being the head coach years. You know, you pull the pull the boys into the locker room at eight o'clock this morning. You just try to talk to them, and in shed, some light. On everything that's happened. What coach would want as well. I think you know. I can I get here. Coach right now and saying you guys better not be said, you better get ready to go out there and practice or get ready for a game. That's just a that's the Matt English way. And it was tough. We got five seniors a lot of juniors in in these kids have been around the program. You know, Jason can tell you coach was around for forever. He would be down at the elementary level at the middle school level and those kids knew him. Well, so it hit home for the for the older guys. And. To pick up the pieces, and it's going to be a long tough week. But I know coach she would he wants to put the heart head on and grab your lunch Bill and get to work. And that's that's what Mike Renfro joins us here on the hammer and Nigel show, Mike is the acting head coach at beech grove high school. We're talking about the passing of head coach Matt English, Mike. What's kinda you know secondary right now. But I think it's important is how good of a basketball coach, Matt English. Was you know, we're hearing the stories of how great of a man he was what a great leader. He was let's not forget this guy knew his Xs and os, right? No, definitely. And that's the thing hammer you go to practice every day with myself from you know, working underneath him. And then you're learning something every day. You know, we would very rarely do the same things weekly. We would all sit around collaborate as coaches in coach would always come up with a nice game put in. I mean, that's why he was successful. You know, what the last couple seasons? The culture of metro basketball's changed so much to where we're a top team in teams don't wanna play us because we've taken in what coaches taught us as being some some tough knuckleheads and going out there playing as hard as we have. But but definitely a great Xs and os guy, but his his strong point is is getting to the boys and then indefinitely making them a tough team. Mike Renfro joining us on the hammer and Nigel show, Mike. I knew you grew up playing basketball with Brad Stevens long before he was the Butler had coached the designs Ville basketball Brad Stevens. And then obviously Brad went on to fame but Butler now with the Boston Celtics. They had you guys enter practice a couple. Two weeks ago? Tell us a little bit about what Brad Stevens talk to your team and coach English about at that practice. Just just shows what type of person Brad is. He's always been a class act. To not only myself, but but obviously you see with with coaching in basketball program. It was it was really cool. They were playing the Pacers Brad called. Had us down for the shoot around in in. Brad knows mad. He knows Angela by her first name knows maths daughter by her first name. I mean, just two hundred one hundred percent class act. We stayed there in the thing was breads going through his scouting report over Indiana in in in that meantime, and in between thinks he's coming over and he's talking to coach he's engaged with us. And it's just a just a real thing. And I mean, he's not only just like the NBA basketball coach. But I mean, he's he's a level headed human being just like the rest of us. And it was it was really neat. Really neat. And I'm glad that you know, we all got to go down there and coach got to interact with him and some of the Boston Celtics players too. So pretty cool. Be honest, Mike, could you still take Brad Stevens to the rack Eckerd? You still score on Brad Stevens. He couldn't play any defense, but he could shoot the ball. Mike one more thing before you let you go. Again, we're chatting with Mike Renfro, he's the acting head coach and beech grove high school right now years from now when we look back what's going to be the legacy left behind by coach, Matt English. I mean, just for myself. And then I think a lot of people he's probably the most loyal person. I've ever come across. The hard work. Just the demeanor is a man, you know, as a coach to the father a husband. He's left some great groundwork. And. Just a just a great person to learn from a great mentor, a great friend. He's just a he's a special person to me, not only myself. But I know this this oh school in this whole community. But. For those of you who who never got to meet. He's just a he's a great, man. Great soul for sure coach for those who want to come out and support your program the beach grove high school program and everything they have to offer and the legacy of coach English a Winston next home game. We don't play again, I think until January Jason we're on the road next. Tuesday will be at Greenwood high school. The twenty eighth we go to Decatur and play holiday tournament. But I know our our next home game in January we see here. I got it right here. We'll play at home against Monrovia high school, Saturday January. Okay. So Mark that on your calendar. Saturday January fifth beach grove high school the first home game since the passing of head coach Matt English, Mike. I know this wasn't easy for you. But you're a good, dude. Mike, and we appreciate the time. Thanks coach. Thank you guys. Thanks coach coming up next. You've got to hear this audio one of the most amazing endings in the NFL. I've seen this year. We'll have that for you it just a few minutes. Ninety-three WABC. There's a section down the right field line in foul territory that is chock full of marines. And now they're all leaving just as I say that they're probably going back to duty. But you know, there are few teams across all sports that do as good of a job as the Padres do recognizing our troops. You know? I think the Rangers do a tremendous job. But here in San Diego, you've got a naval base, and you've got a marine base. And so they're able to bring scores of troops into the ballpark on a regular basis. Those guys have been sitting up there in that section in the upper deck down the right field lines into about an hour before gametime. Very orderly one oh, waving amiss. Changeup from Mike minor Renfro chases the count one in one when wait a minute. Now that are they leaving. Or are they adding more people they're moving around. But it looks like more guys are coming. Maybe they're changing formation. That's possible to one one that MRs low count to and one to the right handed hitting Renfro who's one for one with a home run that just barely snuck out beyond the left field. Wall Padres, wearing their blue motif cammo uniforms here today. Two one wave in amiss nother changeup. So after starting Renfro off of the fastball minors gone with three straight. Changeups. See what he does here on two and two. From the wind up light colored glove in front of his face as he steps into the wind in the pitch fastball. That just misses outside Rangers wearing their road blues with Texas arched across the chest in white with a red outline. Great pants blue caps. Blue Bill for Texas miners got blue spikes with a red Nike Swoosh. Shallow three to swing. Amiss heat. Pumps the fastball by him. Excuse me. That was a slider Renfro was laid on it. And that's a strike out for minor strikeout. Number four, and it's the first out here in the bottom of the fourth inning. Rangers fans. It's Fanta Monia you can.

"William writes, the power for hunter Renfro seems to be back. Do you think is timber slash line can come close to matching August lines still available in more than eighty percent of his pin leagues. I believe hunter, Renfro if he's not a top ten out for over the past month, close to it, showing his power. He still a lot of swing Mr. his game that doesn't help, but I could see on Renfro being a guy with thirty home runs. I mean, he should be doing that. What do you do a hundred from? It's got that kind of power. That's six game power. Yep. There's not much else to his game at all. Clean the defense. Well, that's not very nice kind of mean to I, I was totally wrong. He's twenty eight among outfitters over the past thirty days. Maybe his time. His run is over the last two weeks or something, but you know. So this is what I like about Renfro is that this week, the San Diego Padres play. And I'm looking at the ten day when they play three games of course, to begin the week, and then granted they face three against the dodgers against the tough left wing that results in five left handed starting pitchers. The number six outfit on the play writer for the past fifteen days. That's what I was looking. Okay. That's still pretty good. I had a Mookie head of Chris Davis at Harper run hot and cold, and I love the match of this week, so stay with a bet on hot stance and Harper that nationals could've traded Harper Murphy. The relievers they're under five hundred with out trading anybody except for back on Wednesday. So it's all fixed. Are you activating Strasbourg who'd you rather have this week? Strasbourg or kopeck. Well, kopech gives it to start. So I'm going to speculate there in theory us. Oh, right. Yeah. So everybody should know about this one. The White Sox. Rick Venaria says they're going to go with a five man rotation. So who go? Yeah, he hasn't announced it yet. They could go with a six man. You're you're correct? Yeah. Anyway. Renfro. Who would you rather draft next season? Renfro when we're Keiko's. That's a fair question. I want them to gonna hit twenty eight home runs and the others is gonna hit eight. Yeah. I mean, if it's the question is great for our first enter game. If it's the, it's the cake. It's a lot. No. What do you mean anything? But our traditional game anything, but the standard road. Oh, you bring in walks or any other things like that points. It's gonna be marquess. Fifth, outfitter and a standard league next year, wouldn't you want the upside of Renfro figuring it out and being like a thirty home or to seventy guy? Probably yeah, but I will be honest that at the end, I probably going to want option. See, nobody's going to draft more Cejka's next year. Not sure either we'll get drafted and attend teamer. All right. And then here's the last one. Kevin writes, Pablo Lopez with the high forecast or ranking this week for his two starts. He do feel confident in his ability to help, or is it more volume play? So you did the ranking on Pablo Lopez. Now I look at your rankings from time to time and I make decisions based on them as well. And sometimes I don't get it. But you feel confident, Pablo pets. Please tell us why not really the computer does, but I did not. You can. You can move that around. He's thinking thirty one among starting pitchers for the week, and I gotta tell you, I feel Mike fires. I know volley crass. I cannot fathom using Carlos Carrasco sitting crawl crafts for lupus. So yeah, this this was a tough one. I do have a kind of a little tweak that I do if I don't like the matchups here he's averaging fifty one game scores. So he's already pitching at leagues a league level against general opponents the forecast or likes the Anki match because of the ks in it. And it's not a scared of the lineup with Aaron judge out. The thing that puzzled me was with that on the Braves game. I don't know. I, I probably should have pushed him down a little bit further here, but he has very good control and he gets ground balls and I believe they are two home games that also helps out forecast a lot of work, and it's really, really good at project starting pitchers, not just for this week, but for the next ten days hitter..

Forty yeah you know the Bronfman yeah sure Canadian She was, one of these people who tried to recruit, young women wow join into this. Cult she's been charged with the sex trafficking and she also bankrolled they say that she bankrolled this cult she put in money to. This wrong. With her Keith Ren year to get this call going and they were recruiting women. Renier Merv Amway salesman and multilevel marketing. Schemer they call him he founded this. Cult in the late nineteen ninety s with a nurse named Nancy Saltzman who was trained, in hypnosis and apparently she would hypnotize, some of these young women they recruited to have sex with Reynier and they were, branded, on their skin branded branded yes with his initials remember there was an. Cattle, this is upstate somewhere right, yes it's got a whole Charles Manson say that's exactly why that's crazy yeah anyway I found this story I love I. Love a post headline it. Says Bill de Blasio don't ask. Me what's going on the. City hall that's the post headline don't ask me what's going on in the city this is interesting though so he's trying to. Avoid, a, deposition he doesn't want to sit for this deposition on a. Legal case involving civil rights so he claims he doesn't micromanage he says his mayor I said broad goals and, objectives but while I, sometimes? Get, briefed on specific decisions I typically do not have unique knowledge on. The. Subject This is the mayor the mayor I dunno. Stuff I got briefed on stuff. And I really know it on the treadmill says I base my, approval or disagreement of the agency's. Decision on the. Information the basis decision, on the information is provided to them? So but the. Headline, is, don't ask me what's going on but in his defense here is no. No no he claims that the suit dates, back more, than twenty five, years before we took office he says just one of many that long? Predate his administration so that. Would, be an, excuse not, to want to sit for a deposition it's twenty five. Year old case but. I just. Think it's funny that the. Whole premise, is well I don't know what's going on don't ask me I'm. Only the mayor how. Would he know what's going on he's never hear. Oh boy he's always, off giving a speech somewhere or he's. Up at Bernie Sanders read baby diaper camp up there in Vermont you know in. The canoe paddling away with a. Bunch of other comedies, are who's, this other democrat you. To go if you see anyone who works at the administration you go right up to. Them at ruin their dinner you throw food in their finger. Is that after the redhead incident with Sarah Sanders was after mad Maxine a. Curler so is that what happens. Accused of Nielsen out somewhere it was that because of Maxine well, Maxine jumped on when all this. Stuff was going. On and when some, Democrats were saying you know this is? Probably inappropriate to. Bother, these, people when they're out with their families mad Maxine doubling down geez at. You go out there and for those people, you shake, your finger at, them you shame them for what they're doing the news now well she? Got a package with anthrax. Scrawled, across it, it was, delivered to Mad Max scenes office it's not her name L. see. People take, offense to that that's not a name Maxine what. She's a congresswoman have you heard her. She's nuts okay Len just listen you. Played cuts of her she is listened with both, ears plug on plug on anyway the package, was determined. To be safe by authorities so there was no anthrax in it and now, an investigation is in place well the. President has just tweeted oh? We're wondering when he was. Going to react to the release. Of, the audiotape between himself and his former attorney Michael Cohen. And he tweets what kind of, a lawyer, would say up a client so sad is this a I never heard of. It before, why was, the, tape so abruptly terminated and he put cut in, parenthesis I maybe his supporters understand. What Terminator b.'s wrote cut why was why was the. Tape, cut while I was presumably saying positive things I. Hear there are other clients and many reports. That are taped can This be so too, bad Interesting. Well he has a point I think Michael komo's pretty. Sleazy taping without his permission good guest coming. Up next. To discuss this we do we got lots of Trump stuff, to discuss with ABC news.
