"The abs are going to cruise through the Western Conference part of the playoffs. No, don't say that. They're promotional. Blaming losses because they became popular. That's a weak take Mark. Oh, I'm blaming, yeah, no, that's not a weak take at all. All right, why don't you explain why it's not we take? That's ridiculous. You'll do that coming up next. Plus, the return of teller straighter Tuesday on a Thursday. We've had a lot of people asking Mark, what do you see in these two linemen that the Bronco sign? So you did the film work on the clinician. We'll get a little bonus, tell the Tuesday with Mark coming up next. And they did that posted behind you. Steve teachs you into the classroom using the exclusive game film only the Broncos coaches have access to. If you look at this play, what we're trying to get is a seal here and a seal here and try to run this plate in the alley. Here, slower than Evans would tell us greater Tuesday. Now this is one of the popular features that we developed over the year, telestrator Tuesday, but pulling out here on a Thursday because we've had a lot of requests from fans wanting to get your inside breakdown of the two linemen that they sign the other day and Mike mcglinchey to play right tackle and Ben powers to play left guard. And as a bonus, Zach Allen, who they brought in to replace draymond Jones. So who do you want to start with? Let's just, let's just go in the order they were taken. It was empowers than mcglinchy and then Alan, right? Powers, I think one, first and foremost, at the point of attack. Good run blocker, efficient getting to the second level. Think he takes good angles, good steps. And in past protection, he does a good job of taking the fight to the line of scrimmage, which I think is really important, especially if your quarterback's 5 ten. You can't get into the black of your quarterback. So you've got to be really good short set football team. Really good at attacking the line of scrimmage. What I like to say when I talk to players or I talk to different teams, taking the passive out of pass protection. Got to be able to do that in three steppers and 5 steppers. So I think he does all those things well. One of the things that going back on film and you can see this, Mike, when you watch a guy take sets and take angles, he understands he understands the concept of football. Like, you watch him hang tight on a slide to make sure he gives the center the proper amount of leverage he needs, the proper amount of body presence before he takes off to go help the tackle. Like a lot of guys who just fly out of there and then they leave, if you fly out of there so you have a guy over your guard and you have a guy over you, right? And you slide out really fast. Well, it already edges the center, meaning the center who's coming over to block that guy is already at a disadvantage because you've left too fast. So you see the little things when you're watching film like a guy how good he is with angles and funnel and players and understanding when I need to leave, how I need to stay, what like he's done a really good job with that stuff. So he's a smart player. He's a good player and he's a physical player. So on a scale of one to ten, if Dalton reisner was a, blank, then Ben powers is a what? If Dalton reisner was a 5, then Ben powers is a 7. Okay. Upgrade, not huge. But an upgrade. Yeah, fairly large upgrade from a physicality standpoint. But yeah, he's not he's not one of the top guards in football. Now he's not Landon Dickerson Dickerson from the Philadelphia Eagles. He's not, but he's a really good player. All right, mcglinchy. Same type of thing. She really good aggressive on the run game. Playing across the ball from one of the best that's ever played in Trent Williams, you see how his aggressiveness, he's more aggressive than he used to be, meaning if he messes if he misses a blocker. He's going to miss it going a hundred miles an hour and I can live with that. Really good same thing sets angles. You understand he understands the game. He knows getting to the second level, even as big as he is at 6 foot 8, getting the second level man. He moves well, he does that well. The one weakness from a glenshee is mcglinchy gets a little like we used to call it getting high in your hips, getting a little tall, and then when you get a little tall, basically, he is so big and so tall that he loses a little body strength. And so he can get overwhelmed in those. And then when ends up happening, when it really goes to crap on you, you get a little tall, so then you start hunkering down to try to take away the bulrush, and then a guy beats you on speed. So he has a propensity to get a little tall in pass pro and get shoved in the back feel a little bit every now and again. But again, compared to the garbage that we've had at right tackle. If we've been a one over there, we just moved up to a 7. Okay, well, that's a significant upgrade. Yeah, okay, good. All right, so far so good. Zach Allen. I would say that Zach Allen effort huge effort, playing next to JJ watt for the last couple of years has really helped develop his game. His stance looks identical. A lot of his moves. He's a movement pinch like movement guy, advanced Joseph uses him to move, to slant, to pinch would call pirate stunt. Really good at bam hitting that hole, bam, working back upfield, getting into the backfield, tackles for losses. Versatility, I think, is the biggest thing. You watch them when they're in a nickel or four down front when they're playing a team that's throwing the ball. He's over each guard. He'll be over each guard in base. I've seen him over the right tackle. I've seen him over the left tackle. I've seen him on the nose in base. So he's the guy that gives you a ton of versatility and he's a guy that you feel really comfortable moving around and basically finding the weak link. So if you've got a guy who's really struggling with guys that are good pinchers, good movement guys, man, you line them up over there and you take advantage of that stuff. Great effort guy makes a lot of plays, like I said, he is a poor man's JJ watt. He's experienced JJ watt. He's watched him. He's mimicked him. The stances look, if I put the two of them on and covered up the numbers, and I go, okay, who's JJ and who's you would say, I don't know. They look identical. Really? In their stance. So he's really, he's really taken a lot of JJ watts game and implemented that. And he's gotten stronger and bigger over the last couple of years. But he's good. He's a good effort player. So who will end up being of those three that you just studied? Who will end up being and rank them? One through three. Who will end up being the best value signings? Or the best value signings? Oh, I

"Matt Smith in for Mike Evans this morning alongside stink, good morning to you and yours out there. Mark today the free agency tampering period in the NFL opens and it's a two day period until Wednesday afternoon and I believe 2 p.m. when signings can be made official but starting at 10 a.m. today we're going to start to hear a lot of these signings roll in and as I was thinking about how I wanted to break some of this stuff down with you. I just got to thinking, how would you address if you were Sean Payton George paid the Broncos leadership collective? How would you address evaluating the current state of the franchise, right? And what your goals should be moving forward. And I was just wondering from your perspective, what the series of questions and maybe a checklist would be that you would go down when you embarked on this process as far as evaluating what your goals want to be in free agency. Well, I think the first thing you have to do is you have to assess kind of where you are as a franchise. Where you are as far as the people on your roster, how you match up roster wise. To the other teams in your division and where you have to go, I think the biggest thing to me is, what do we have to do as a franchise? What should our priorities be to make sure that we put our quarterback from a roster standpoint in the best position possible to bounce back and play like Russell Wilson? And ultimately, I think there's a couple of things that you need to address offensively. Obviously, you look at Sean Payton and one of the things that Sean Payton has always been able to do, it's always been kind of a running back by committee, but he's always produced essentially a top ten rushing team. He'll have that. And then he's always had and I talked to a defensive coach about preparing for Sean Payton. He goes, most of the time, when you're preparing for a team, he goes, there are a handful, 8 to ten screens that you have to coach your team up on. Hey, they were on this screen. They run this screen. They do this. They do that. Because when you are coaching against Sean Payton, there's about 80 screens, like you don't have enough time to cover all the different ways they get their running backs and their slot receivers the football. Right. And they do such a great job from a personnel standpoint that they have multiple tight end screens multiple running back screens multiple wide receiver screens. So they do a really good job and chomping calls those breather plays. So take something off the play to the quarterback. Give him a breather, right? Make it easy for him. Hand the ball off, run the ball, do that, and then the quick screen game. Where you really have one guy that you're trying to get the ball to, right? So there's not a lot of reading of the defense. You're not reading coverage. You're not reading a lot of the defense. You're just setting up that screen. And so again, breather play. Take the mental, take the mental pressure off of it. Right. So with that is the backdrop or the premise of what you're trying to do as a football team, then I think there's a couple of things you have to address. I think you have to address obviously your offensive line. And everybody's going to go easy, it's easy to point to the right tackle position. Because you got to have one because you haven't had one, honestly. You haven't had one in close to a decade. We know the laundry list. Right, not since pretty much big O, we'll be hearing a little bit. Exactly. So you've got to address that. I also think you have to address your inside rotation. You got to get a starter at guard. Whether that's left guard, for the replacing Dalton reisner, which it looks like that's probably going to be a necessity. It looks like reisner is probably going to move on. Right. And to me, that's the right move. The right move is not to pay him the right move is to replace him. Okay. Yeah. Because if you look at the free agent market, specifically for interior linemen this year, he, on most lists, is ranked near the top of it for interior free agent linemen. Correct. So your options as far as replacing him might be limited. I mean, you might have a couple of guys or a rookie, but that's a third round guy, 'cause you just don't have top draft capital this year. That is correct. I think one of the things you have to look at, and I'm to be clear for the record. I'm not advocating for it, but I think it's the decision you have to evaluate when you're making this call. Right. I think one of the things that you also have to look at is you have to look at young ascending players at the position. So one of the guys, they always kind of creeps into the forefront of my thought process. A guy like Andre Dillard, Andre Dillard is a backup offensive lineman for the Philadelphia Eagles who was a first round draft choice to play tackle. He has been a rotational piece for them both at tackle and a guard. And he's been coached by Jeff stoutland in Philadelphia who's one of the premier coaches in the National Football League when it comes to playing offensive line and they've never had an issue with putting that guy in any position, like right tackle, right guard, left guard, left tackle. He's played all over the place. Is there an ascending player like that? And I haven't studied him enough. Like a Georgia. Yeah, Zach is that kind of what you're talking about, a different position where a different opportunity can lead to maybe better or different results. Right. So I know a lot of people have said, hey, Andreas Pete, who played for champagne. And this is one of those guys that if he's a 100% healthy, he'll play. If he's 80%, he'll sit. Okay. And he's been a guy, he's been a guy over the course of time that I think everybody has a lot of respect for the way he plays. When he plays, and I think there's a piece there. And again, one of the things that I keep looking at is, can you get a young guy that's an ascending player that has been coached well, they can roll in and become that starter for you. To become a good player for you. As opposed to, hey, Orlando brown's out there to play right tackle, let's pay him $17 million a year, right? Can you find that ascending player that you can pay 7, $8 million a year or two? And that's a huge deal and save yourself a lot and that guy's going to be as good or he's going to approach that type of play. Okay, okay, so let's recap here. You have, how do you match up in your own division, right? As far as evaluating this team and how you want to approach free agency and this off season. Honestly, evaluating where you are as a franchise from a pure talent standpoint. Right. That's separate to how you match up in your division. Well,

"Andrew Beck, Eric Tomlinson. I would say I'd probably look to try to keep two of those guys. Which too, Beck and Sauber. Okay. Beck, you know, it's funny. Some of the better plays that the Broncos had on offense. Last year, Andrew Beck was a part of. Beck is, here's what I, again, I'll get back to personnel and Sean Payton. Sean Payton does a really good job from a personnel standpoint of understanding what a guy is, what a guy is and how he can help. And how to exploit a defense. Beck is a guy that is got a ton of versatility. He could be an inline tight end. He gives split out, he can play fullback. You want that guy on your football team. Yeah, this one Dalton rising to see you always heard never as good as his rookie year. But at some point though, don't you have to look at the revolving door of left tackles next to him, centers next to him at some point, doesn't that lack of continuity? Isn't that going to affect him? Would it affect you? I mean, left guard to left guard. Let's talk. If you all of a sudden had, and I get it, you are blessed. You are spoiled with the offensive lines you played on, but let's say if all of a sudden you were used to having Gary Zimmerman to your left and Tom nail into your right and all of a sudden that's replaced by Calvin Anderson to your left and Graham Glasgow to your right. Uh oh. Yeah, well neither of those guys who have been good enough to make our team. So I would not have I wouldn't have had to worry about that. Just work with me, okay? We may well just think about it. You are back as those guys are on our team. I know, but work with me. Okay, okay. Okay, okay. No, yeah, I mean, yeah, that's legitimate. That is legitimate. But. Still, the biggest issue, the biggest dull reisner issue is the lack of depth that they currently have on their roster. And so you start looking at, man, we don't have any depth on this roster anyhow offensive line wise. And we need, you know, we need potential starters in Dalton's, he started a lot of games here in Denver. So we've got to make a decision who's going to play left guard for us then. Because we don't have, we haven't been grooming backups. We haven't been, we haven't we're not the Philadelphia Eagles who draft first and second round offensive lineman and just let them sit for two or three years before they get to play. So there are better players out there for sure and free AZ began to pay him. All right, so just kind of start the game here, but we've got to singleton K Jack latavius Murray, Andrew Beck Erik saber coming back, CO2 and Dalton reisner and Eric Tomlinson. Morning brew coming up and shame. Shame on Giannis. Shame

We're going to hook up with Troy rink here in a little bit. He's out at the combine. So we'll do that. Here in just a little bit, but in the meantime, back to the, is it just me, is it just me or does mark's voice seem like he could do a really good Christopher Walken impression? Whether I'm mimicking boss skaggs or who else do I sing? Oh, Gordon Lightfoot. I've got a great Gordon Lightfoot. You know I'm really good at I'm really good at Neil Diamond. Are you? Oh my gosh, it's just, I mean nailed it. Really? Yeah. Are you ready to do some now or do you need to warm up a little bit more? I walk out I could probably be a little later. But I probably have to listen to his voice first before. Yes, yes. Yeah. Yeah, his is. This is difficult to do. That's not an easy one though. The whole cadence and everything that he does. All right, well, maybe we'll definitely hear a little Neil Diamond later. Can't wait for that. Right now we'll hear Troy rank, he joins us Denver 7 insider presented by Rx rocks heating and air. Okay, Troy, impressions. From a week spent at the combine, what do you got? Well, again, champagne's in charge. Mark talked about this. You know, who's the guy when he walks in the room? One of my last two memories of the combine. She had not talked in that podium setting. He shows up 9 minutes early, and he taught for 24 minutes at one point, one of the NFL staffers said two more questions. He looked down and said, I'll decide when it's over if that's okay. It reminded me. It gave me my Shanahan by just like he's in charge. And I asked him about Russell Wilson and his dinner. He did not give Russell Wilson flowers. He was like, I wanted to talk to Joe Montana. He wanted to talk about the season. We'll talk about that later. And that's what it needs to be. You guys have talked about it. It's got to be accountability. I've said this, it's got to be less about us, more about us. And all those things you can see taking shape, but I know Mark believes this. It's organic. It takes every day. And when everything matters eventually you look up, and you're like, okay, we're in a better position. Now, what does that mean? I don't know. Other takeaways from the combine are they're going to have to add a running back to protect themselves into Williams isn't ready. They desperately need Randy Gregory to be healthy and play. And they're going to have to reshape their offensive line. And that's not easy to do. They're going to have to hit on at least one drastic on the offensive line, if not too. Do you get a sense that they're targeting somebody, you go back to Sean Payton, as the head coach in New Orleans, and they always felt like they targeted a guy like there's a guy they like in this draft. Do you get a sense that there's a target that they have or is this just about getting volume and trying to find a player or two that can play? I just get a sense to Sean Payne, you're going to have a heavy influence on who gets drafted. When you look at his drafts in New Orleans, he goes like 8 of 16 drafts where they drafted offensive line. Broncos have been taken to tackle since 2017. Mark. So I get a sense that they're going to try to draft an interior lineman with one of those first two picks, 67, 68. Somebody plug and play type guy. Because I don't know if dawn reisner comes back. I hope he does. I love Dalton reisner, the person who might be the best person I've ever covered in professional sports. But if he's not back, you got to plug that hole. All you need to be healthy. Glasgow is either going to get caught or restructured and he's going to have to compete for a job and you need a right tackle. But I do think there's somebody they would like and an anterior line specifically. Maybe right tackle, there's a kid from Maryland and right tackle that might fit by tackles tough though, because when you say, oh, there's going to be one on the board at 67. It only takes a run on that position and then there's no one left. And the last thing they need to do is reach for somebody there. You've got to take the best player of the bill. And I think that's going to be an outside rusher or an interior offensive line. Troy are the Broncos making a mistake letting a draymond Jones walk. Yeah, I mean, listen, he's free to shoot the right time. He's probably their third best defense. He is. For me, he's their third best defensive player behind Patrick and Justin Simmons. He's a remarkable inside Russia. Could he be a little better against the run? Yeah, I'm sure he could. But with Darren Payne getting franchise tagged he's the best guy in the market and talking to sources very close to draymond. There's no reason for him not to test the market at this point. You get this close unless they want to pay four times 17 or 18. Why wouldn't he test? I know they would prefer to try to get him at four times 15. I don't know if that's possible. And there's going to be a line there where they walk away. What would be unfortunate is the entire reason and not entire reason. Primary motivating force to trade Bradley Chubb was you weren't going to pay him the 63 million. He got guaranteed was to clear up money for draymond Jones. So if they both walk in the span of what 6, 7 months, that stuff, that's tough. And that's they don't have a lot of deficit defensive lines. So to answer your question, it would be difficult given their lack of depth at that position and the way the whole cards were supposed to fall to let him walk, but they got into this point. If they really wanted him, they should have signed him during the season to avoid this. I think they have four days left on the franchise tag. They've said they don't plan on using it. Could you see them have a change of heart and just slap a franchise tag and draymond Jones? I don't see it right now based on conversations sources on both sides of the equation. They just don't think that it's a franchise and there would be enough good, it's not even goodwill. It's just, he wants to test the market. And if you franchise tag them, he's basically saying, here's my value. So the danger is he sees what his value should have been. And then you don't get a deal done by July 15th. And now you have him sitting there at 18.9 million as a defensive end of that's not restructure. You can't move that money around. Everyone's like, oh, just put on the franchise tag. Again, you can't move that. It's a cap is monopoly money, but not when it's a franchise tax. So I don't see them franchise tagging them. I see them testing free agency and you just say at that point, it's the market senses value. So anytime the market sets the value on your player, it decreases the chances of him returning. Yeah, no question about it. Hey, Trevor man, we appreciate you. Welcome back to Denver. Thank you guys. "Okay, so here's why I've thrown the challenge flag and I'm going to win the challenge. Here's why. Because the overly game that we play, the rules are you say something that everybody knows to be, there's only one answer, right? And you say something else, I correct you, and you get to say, oh, really? Right, which is exactly what happened. Here's the problem. Here's where you lose. Because Phil Collins wasn't just with genesis. He was solo, so the fact is that no, no, no, hold on. I'm making my case here. The fact is, is that there's not one clear cut answer. If I play any Phil Collins song, it could be genesis or it could be Phil Collins solo. There's not a clear answer. So if I correct you by saying genesis, you can't say, oh really, because it could either be genesis or it could be Phil Collins. But there's no easier. It can never be the group. Yes, because he wasn't in the group, yes. So I said, was this when he was solo or with yes. And you go, no, no, genesis. Nope. Because if I, what if I said Phil Collins? What if I said Phil Collins solo? You could have still said oh, really, right? No. Yes, you could have. Yes, you could have. If I says, no, that's Phil Collins. No, really? Because he wasn't with yes. Good question. Was this when he was solo or with yes? No. It doesn't matter. This only works fever. This only you know, you know the rules of oh really well enough to know. It's got to be a clear it'd be like if when earlier today, if you were saying we're talking about Dalton rice, let me give you an example. When we were talking about Dalton reisner earlier, if I had said, oh yeah, Dalton riser from fort Morgan and you had said, no, Wiggins, then I have you on an O'Reilly because there's only one answer. In this case, Phil Collins is either genesis or solo because there's two possibilities for Phil Collins. You can't play O really with Phil Collins. There's no, was this when he was with yes or with genesis? And play it again. Play it again. Just listen to it. Play it again. By the way, was this Bill Collins or this is with so called. Yes, was he with yes at this time? See, there it is. You said it's going to keep playing. Is this so crazy? Is this Phil Collins when he was Phil Collins or when he was with yes? Yeah. And I said, no, this is when he was genesis. I know, because he's either classic. Because I was correcting you that it was Phil Collins with genesis. Not Phil Collins. No, not even close. We go to did we go to Mike Pereira? Ed hockey? Yes. And hockey has emerged from underneath the hood. Before you make a decision, just play the whole thing. And just play the whole thing when I get him with the overly part. Go ahead. No, he's just going to hear that, by the way. Was this was this bill college or this is political Collins with yes. Yes, at this time, or was this football? Or just for Collins? You never said genesis. I'm right because I wanted to say justice from yes. But I would never have said genesis. My gosh, I mean, I crushed just take your. This is when you say, this is when if you had said this, if the music is playing, if you had said, is this when is this Phil Collins with yes? And I would have been like, no, this is with Phil Collins with genesis. Then you had me. But you established the fact that he was supposed to and I corrected you with genesis, and there were two answers. It's the same. No, really, if there are two possible answers. Exact same thing. Is this Bill Collins when he was with yes or was solo? No, no, genesis. We all know he wasn't with yes. Winner, winner, chicken. All right. Let's go to Ed hockey fever here. What do you got? To reverse and replay, there must be clear uncontroversial uncontroverted evidence that the ruling in the field was wrong. In other words, you have to be certain. Here's a ruling on the field stands. It's like in two wins. I feel like I'm two O right now. I've never liked the whole incontrovertible evidence thing. It's the way we judge it. Oh man. I feel like I'm two and O right now. I really do. Feels good. I'm waiting for this text for my wife, wait a minute, man. I had nothing to do with that. He brought that on himself. He brought that on himself. I like this text. Evans, a lot of times for you, W tonight, it didn't happen. I love it. I love it when the listeners are going with their own sound. Tonight it didn't happen. You know what though I will give you this. It was a solid effort. It was a solid effort. I think I wrote enough doubt there. I think there was a couple of times over the course of the weekend. Got in your gullet. No, because somebody brought up that they said they brought up exactly that case in order for you for you to lose or really has to be an answer that everybody knows to be true. But the thing with Phil Collins that creates the ambiguity is it Phil Collins solo or is it Phil Collins genesis and therefore just because there's two possible answers with Phil Collins, then it's a moot point because there's not one clear cut answer. The point of this, the point of this whole thing is, I mean, come on now, I made up the game. So clear cut point of this is I say something that we both know is untrue. Or you say something that we both know is untrue in hopes to get you to correct me. That's exactly what transpired. But the letter of the law. Well, I'm always going to wonder about this one, but okay, fair enough. Fair enough. Stink one, Evans, zero. Oh, I could. The good news is I still have ten months left in the year. You went zero for 22. So good. All right. We'll say if you want to live in the past. I'm like a raider fan. Fever, I hate you. That'll do it. Because his defensive coordinator, but we continue to wait. In the meantime, they would appear to be looking to fill other spots as you went out to dinner last night with a guy named Greg manusky. Yeah, it's actually minus key. Minus key calm the new. So not minus key. No, no I'm in this. Minus key. Like, musky. Yeah. Hasma, husky, my mosque, nuske. Longtime coach, player was a teammate of yours, a roommate of yours in Washington back in the day, but he's in town to interview for the linebackers position. You know, call me old fashioned, but I would normally think that a defensive coordinator would hire those guys, but at least now that does not seem to be the case. But one thing that does seem to be a trend that's developing. These coaches are going to be experienced coaches, aren't they? No doubt. And I for one couldn't be happier about that. I mean, you have some young coaches that you're grooming, but you've been around. Yeah, exact street you've been around. Who'd they hire as a tight ends coach, that clean or something like that? Doing Declan or keep talking somebody, somebody deck lens. Sausage fingers activate sausage fingers activate. So, but you've been around him from New Orleans. You've been around these guys. You know what they're made of. You know, they understand the grind. So anyhow, I'm really excited about that after a year last year where it was the blind leading the blind. They had the three blind mice. Orchestrated Nia, the Broncos. Second down. Meanwhile, the Broncos have a decision to make when it comes to draymond Jones, the franchise tag window opened yesterday continues through March 7th, our 9 news Bronco insider Mike cliff says the Broncos have no intention of tagging Jones right now and if they do, it would be closer to that march 7th deadline, so how do you read that? Is that hoping that you can lock him up? Lock him up between now and then? Yeah. Or that they're still waiting, maybe to see who their defensive coordinator is going to be. Obviously, new staff, new staff, but some of the old principal people that are still there think that that dude has superstar potential. And I tend to agree with him. I think he's, I think he's a star in the making. So why not try to get him locked up to a more long-term deal? Now, if you're him, why not hit free agency if you can? Who else? Like if you could get him locked up and do a long-term deal, is there anybody else on this roster? That's worthy of a franchise tag other than him? No, no, no, no, no, no, no. No. In terms of unrestricted free agents. Well, who else do you have besides ten time pro bowler? Dalton reisner? And he appreciated? Yes. He is on the cusp of ten straight pro bowls. It's going to kick in any year now. Yeah. This could be the year, so maybe you do want a franchise tag. I don't think I don't think you're going to. But draymond Jones, let me play devil's advocate here. You already have a really good interior player in DJ Jones. You know, if you pay big money again to another interior lineman, named Jones, named Jones, you're keeping up with the Joneses. But you have too many Joneses. Are you paying big money to too many Joneses who play inside? Well, then you could switch the thing to Jimmy's and Joneses. So the X's and O's are the jimmies and Jones. Answer the question, please. You don't have too many Joneses. Was that the question? Yes. Yeah, no. You can never have enough Joneses. Are you going to, like you say this all the time? And I hate to give you credit for anything. I know. But you can't have enough good players. And that dude's a good player. Yes. Now you would like to get him locked up on your terms, but what do we always say? Are you going to do that? You got a lot of guys up early, so they have, they have the specter of having to play having to earn it and staying healthy. Hey, look, I know players hate the franchise tag, but you did agree to it in the collective bargaining agreement. Players agreed to it. So it's a tool for teams to use, and in this case, use it. Oh, yeah. If you can't work out a deal, use it. He'll play, not gonna sit out. You won't be happy, but he'll play. Right. So, I don't think he's going anywhere. I don't think so either. Third down. Came a car isn't going anywhere for the time being. He's going to miss this weekend's games. Because he's back in the concussion protocol. Now he went into the protocol about ten days ago when he got hit in the first game after the all star break. Had the concussion, got cleared, came back, got hit in the St. Louis game on Saturday, the reason why he wasn't taken out of the game by the independent spotter, they had one of those at NHL games like they do at NFL games. And why the avalanche, I guess didn't really respond like it was another concussion because his visor in the collision is visor came down his nose. And so they just thought it was a nose issue. Well, it turned out. It was another hit to the head. And again, put them into concussion symptoms. And now he's out for the week. So bad luck. Or does it call into question how the NHL? How the avalanche? Handle kale mccart. No, I think it calls into question everybody based on the fact that you're coming off concussion protocol and I get the nose thing. How come is Spicer? Must have been the way the helmet yeah, just get twisted and pushed down and by the way, in all seriousness. Don't you need a little bit better. Helmets and face masks and chin buckles in hockey.

"Ball. Necessarily we gotta we gotta. I need to get an official on that one because that one to me seems like an illegal forward advancement of the football. Beyond the line of scrimmage forty. I know i'm being. Nobody's talking about this. Being a debbie downer. But that's what i noticed. Forty-seven minutes after the hour. It's the whole show powered by energy. We're going to wrap up our number one. We have the ellison hubbard show starting up at one o'clock. I love this program. Get the players perspective. Thanks to crazy. Carlos pizza for that. Don't forget those of you that are playing our fantasy football league those of you. That missed out. You missed out better luck next year. We're out the tilted barrel tomorrow. Ellison's come over. He's going to be there. So it's gonna be a great time. I'm so pumped for this. Colefax is in the mix. We got tons of great hall against tons of new. Liggins is going to be a blast. We'll be right back. The ellison hubbard show presented by crazy. Carl's pizza mondays at one in northern colorado's voice one zero three point one thirteen ten. Kfi k. for the latest and the broncos the nuggets in the rockies. Listen to the hull. Show weekdays noon and northern colorado's voice one zero three point one and thirteen ten kfi k. His niko medved the men's basketball coach of the colorado state rams. You're listening to the hall show on thirteen ten kfi k. a. Put out a technical question to our. Friend cody rourke of the guy. That has i mean. He's in the know on all this stuff. So he's the one you want to go through pro football network. He's going to note. He's our technical guy so i just put the question like this technical question on reisner such down. Is it legal to hand the football forward. Be beyond the line of scrimmage. Is that considered a fumble forced by reisner. Obviously you can't pitch the football forward. Beyond the line of scrimmage but can you hand it forward. So what i want to know now. Quarterbacks can hand it front words backwards and everywhere. In between behind the line of scrimmage but beyond that when you're running can they hand it forward like that can they. They certainly can't pitch it like that but yeah that was my first thought and nobody else brought it up so i thought my an idiot for thinking this because nobody else said anything about it. 'cause i always felt like that was the rule. You cannot advance the football forward other than you. You run now like if you fumble the ball and it's obvious that you're kicking it forward down the field to advance. You can't do that that they had that happen. If your times in the back in the day you can't do that so i'm not trying to steal dolan reisner glory here. We love dalton was awesome for him but even the broadcaster didn't even acknowledge it when it happened. They didn't even see it. They say anything about it. Touchdown broncos and they went to a commercial break. Were they like what the hell just happened. Man my only person asking this. And if so i feel like an idiot or i'm extremely wise one of the two. What is advancing the foot. Because if the ball switched hands and stayed in the same place that's true and then was advanced after the transaction took place not necessarily well when i just went back clark johnson who's covered a lot of football games. He said well. If it's not a pitch they can still hand it forward. Because you see quarterbacks do that all the time. Behind the line of scrimmage right. But i i thought that if the ball was advanced forward by giving it someone else. Now if devante williams drops the ball forward and reisner picks it up. That's just a fumble recovery. Even if even if he did it on purpose. it's intent can referees. Can they penalize intent like that no so technically he could have been like. Oh i can't get over. It can't dalton and just drop it and then dalton grabs it. Then that's a touchdown but i. I didn't think you could just go grab a ball from somebody now. Reisner was behind him all day. Long just gonna grab it from you. Run around by them in. I just didn't think you could eastside chris. brady. I thought the same thing. Oh that's scary chris. Same page so we need to get this out there please. Somebody help me. I wanted to tweet it out. But twitter's terrifying. If you ask that question here at least you know you guys can just attack me on the text line and i can ignore it. I don't have to see it but twitter's like they can be mean to you. Do you like your idiot. what are you talking about. I might just tweet it. Is that a real like come on. I need to know the answer to this question. Dalton are dalton. Ellison might have an answer for us on the dealt reisner thing he might have an answer. He's a he's a defensive guy but he's gotta know those kind of rules right. We'll talk to ellison hubbard battle with the ellison hubbard show starting up at one o'clock. He's going to be in studio. I don't think their practice today. So he'll be in studio. We're gonna be hanging out talking. Well i'm gonna get his fantasy football strategy for sure we'll find out about that And i'm going. Fight the the big question that i got for you. Ready for this intense. Has he played the new madden yet and he has have. They made any changes. We'll talk about all that coming. Up the ellison hubbard show presented by crazy carl's pizza with locations in fort collins and loveland coming up right after the one o'clock hour all things colorado state football football football football from ellison hubbard coming up next..

They got that they got that first game coming up. September third against south dakota state. Same night as unc nc you or playing so it will be a busy busy friday some nuggets stuff to go over. I can't i keep hearing this on the national media and even some of the local media that if nicole yokich nuggets nuggets fans and they want they want the national media shut up then there's going to be one simple solution for nicole ioka as far as getting some recognition that he's clearly not getting gotta be the most disrespected. Mvp perhaps in the history of mvp's not just the nba the simple solution when a championship. Like those are my standards. I want him to. I do think the nuggets with him and again. Getting healthy joel. Murray at some point. I put them up there as far as a favorite to do it. But does that the criteria for james harden and russell westbrook luca danni which i mean jaanus before he wanted the sheer chris. Paul who lot of these guys have had tons of recognition and no championships to show for it. So the idea that all well. He's got to win a title to even be considered in your lists. No okay to be considered the best player in the league. Sure i could. I could see where you're going there. But i mean come on. I'm asking for joker just to be on the simple. Mba liss that they keep putting out of top ten players and league top five. He's taught five she. Don't wanna go that route. I don't understand why. But he's top five so i mean this this. This is a joke. What you what he's able to do each and every year and he's gotten better each and every Last year was easy for him. He he arrived to that point where he sleeps. He can fall asleep and hit thirty. That's when you know you're one of the best in the league. Denver hasn't had a guy like that since mellow and i don't remember ping is easy. I mean mellow was a pure score. But joker just y- makes it look so easy. He'll get quiet thirty eight points and you'll be like really i don't even remember him. He just does it. he's that good. I get it. It's not flashy. It's not flashy like like what you're used to in the rest of the league but it's still to the point where you look at it and you think man how can this guy not get more recognition all first advantage text line seven four seven eight thirteen a one year on. Hold him to that standard. Hold him to the same standard as everybody else then. I mean if chris. Paul is getting that kind of recognition russell westbrook james harden than i think. Think joker should be in the mix okay. Dalton reisner scored a touchdown dalton riser. Got a touchdown. He like rips it out of japan. I think it was drawn to drank rips. It out so williams is fighting to get over the golan echina- boston turned the transfer. The ball will reiser. Just kinda grabs it from him. And scores the touchdown which was amazing. It's awesome risers like so much fun to watch. he's thrown. He threw philip lindsay into the end zone. A few years ago tackled him in there and then of course this situation where he describes the ball. But i got a question like you. you're not supposed. The past the line of scrimmage. You're not supposed you can't advance the ball forward. You can lateral. You can pitch it. You could even handed off behind you. Am i wrong on this. Sports fans helped me out. Reisner grabs the ball from running back and so the running backs go at trying to go over the line. He can't get their risers in front of him so if he pulls the ball out of williams is hand do they call that fumble and then reisner recovered it or do they call it. An a legal lateral or an illegal forward handoff. Beyond the line of scrimmage they were past. The line of scrimmage reisner was in the end zone grabs the ball from williams and scores. I know we're all like this. It's preseason i don't care it's a touchdown it's awesome but that's one of those weird rules and if that's the case i that's fine i suppose but the. Nfl has a few of those right so if they allow that to. It's just like you know we spike the ball snap at spike. The ball stopped the clock. Was that intentional grounding. You're not throwing it to anybody and you're inside the pocket. So shouldn't spiking the football intentional grounding. I mean think about that if you're rolling out to the right and you don't see anybody and you're gonna take a sack. Just throw the ball down. That's an intentional grounding. But if you're snapped the ball pop down real fast. That's just an incomplete path to nobody. So is this one of those rules and the league that they're kind of like yeah. That's fine 'cause 'cause if reisner was behind him he easily could have grabbed it or been. Get the ball pitch to him my wrong. What do you guys think that. I'd like to know nine seven. Four seven eight thirteen one now. They don't encourage this by the way they don't wanna get in the habit of offensive linemen with these giant gloves. They have on and just trying to rip away from running back because they want that. Well obviously i mean if the runningback still pull up pump and push any might still get in there but if you try to pull it from him and maybe the running back doesn't realize what's going on. He tries to pull next thing you know. They're both pulling against the ball. Goes up in the air. You could have an issue so it's not like something they say. I've never seen anything quite like it. I've always thought about it. You know when there's a little scrum going on and they're pushing the pile. It's like that lineman. Were anybody not just alignment standing outside. The pile just grabs the ball and takes off. But i still. Isn't that in the legal forward. Push of the football. I thought so. Or do you call it a fumble. Even though the ball never hit the ground riser. just ripped it from him and scores. So can you say that riser caused a fumble and recovered it and scored a touchdown or is it because the running back didn't hand him the.

They were roommates when they first got here at the team hotel and an early in their rookie seasons before they got the replaces of course Training camp ended but reisner was asked. If you're going to go sit in the lunchroom and have lunch with one of them. How do you decide who you're sitting with. And i thought he gave a pretty good answer. It's the same way across the whole locker room right because there's competition going on everywhere. Whether the since the quarterback the main position now might be highlighted. "National radio show television show sports related talks about why aaron rodgers would be a good fit for denver and vice versa with denver being a contender pro football focus came out with some interesting story about drew. Lock about how. Maybe the idea of giving up on drew lock is is is a bit premature that perhaps the broncos could have a josh allen type guy there. Well josh allen you know. Maybe the expectations weren't skyrocketing because he was a mountain west player but he didn't live up his first year he didn't live up to and again last year. Was the same. Josh allens rookie year for drew lock. Last year was drew locks real first year. Denver broncos dot com shared the story pro football. Focus making the case for drew. Lock to take the leap in twenty twenty one and i sense it with colefax. I think i think deep down you are really wanting drew. Lock to work out. Even even over aaron rodgers. I just sense it am my wrong possibly i just. I was a i tag before last season. Yeah i think. I predicted like ten win season. Yeah and then. I was horribly letdown. Well and that was the that was the weakest point. I mean when you look at denver's roster pro football focus loves denver's roster giving them like a top five you know defensively. They love it It's hard to argue now. the courtland sutton back. You got a lot of great wide receivers. I love the offensive line. All the more reason you don't trade dolan reisner. I think the office of line is. I'm not gonna say the office of lights great but it's it's good now. It was very bad for very long. It was a very similar to the bullpen for the rockies. Elway would throw money at it. You'd get guys that were proven and it just didn't work out now. They're they've kind of went the other route and they're going young guys which is maybe with the should be doing going with guys that they've grown garrett bowles they draft adult reisner. They drafted cushenberry. They drafted so three guys on that offensive line. S- three starters. I should say are their homegrown guy. So i love the offensive line. Here's what sam monson wrote in pro football focus quote. Here's quote from him. We don't need to go back very far in time to find a quarterback who has written off as never going to achieve great things josh allen based on his. Nfl play at the time. Monson wrote allen's simply had to go and while there may always be a section of die hard fans who will forever defend him. It looked like alan was destined to never reach the level. He did so we're all. Are we all missing. Similar signs with drew. Lock on the question is then. What are those signs. Here's what he says. This is stuff that's beyond us. What lock does have working in his favor. Though is a high big time throw rate of six point. Four percent last season. That figure ranked seventh in the league. Behind five star quarterbacks and derek carr. It's a higher figure that allen manage five point eight percent and shows that for all his inaccuracy lock has real upside..

"The whole show on thirteen ten. Kfi am not. Just i think the whole aaron rodgers thing is really is really interesting colefax. We just got another tax way too much. That's a package for a player. Like deshaun watson of course with all that stuff going on not someone that we can only have for three years. I mean you have to be sure we're talking. Our poll question today is what's the hardest sports win a championship in and again some of your same football not a lot of your same football but either way. I think we're all kind of like. Wow when when it comes to brass tacks it's pretty hard to win title. If you don't win a championship with aaron rodgers isn't it. Wouldn't it be a big giant bust because you you would be trading away. I think the price is for sure. Three first round picks i'll player and a good player. A prospect type player like a young guy. Jerry jeudy bradley chubb and a second round pick so i actually breer is close. But he added one too many guys. 'cause yeah you could probably throw drew lock and teddy bridgewater in as a parting gift. You know so. I think that the only thing that's off on albert careers. There is as adding dalton reisner. And or another stud player. Like i'm not gonna do chubb and sutton i'm not gonna do sutton. I'm not gonna shove and jerry jeudy. I'm i'm not even going to consider dalton riser. I think that this team has been so desperate to find a better offensive line and they finally have it. You remove dalton writing there again. One guy how can make this line bat again. I actually think garrett bowles and dolton reisner well together and maybe that's part of why bowles became a long term contract guy. Congratulations to him. I'm not taking it away from him. But having a better line collectively makes you a better player individually. So i just think that george peyton could go one way here like if he stands pat. Now he's already got a lot of pressure from not taking a quarterback at night but if you stand pat here than yes. It's we all kind of understand for the most part right. You're sitting back. You're waiting to see what this team is. None of the quarterbacks really you know really gotcha. Justin fields must not move the needle that much for you. We'll see now again colefax. If justin fields goes on and tears it up which right now. Andy dalton is the starting quarterback bears have announced. So i'll have to earn that job at camp.

Never did make it to the nfl but he was damn good. Pretty coaching doing inspirational speeches. Thirty nine minutes after the drought after the draft. I got draft on the brain. Said chris word on the street. It's colefax on the roof. Tuesday weather permitting. Yeah you're just going to forget about it. Dixon's gonna miss great. They're all waiting for man. They're all out there your public. It is seriously been three weeks of weather in a row on tuesday. Are we gonna get some of the whole against the drive-by take photos. Because that's the thing like if you guys are one them up there so bad stop by. I mean dixon did did and we still have that picture. You look so sad up there. It was it was lonely hours. Noobs says reports are that he was at whole foods. This past weekend guys. I don't know what's real with you anymore. Forty minutes after the hour. Let's jump out here and get the latest the local sports flash here mornings with gail weekdays. Six to nine and northern colorado's voice thirteen ten. Kfi everybody. This is dalton reisner two thousand nineteen draft prospect of wiggins colorado and. You're listening to the whole show on thirteen ten. Kfi am doing karate kid karate plane. Bring this mclean great eighties. Were just a better time for music. You could be serious about it. But it's also like the biggest joke in the world like the karate kid soundtrack heard that no. I've not seek that out. You should it's so good They played some of it in cobra. Kai okay cruel summer. So that's there's my suggestion okay. That's a great tune next. Maybe maybe mclean says. There was a moment during pick nine where they showed the browns fans instead of bronco fans as long as they're wearing orange. I guess dixon my word on the street is the den is next on the restaurant review. I mean it should happen at some point. We'll do we give them more than anybody. We talk you guys. The hogan's would go there easily. We go to a remote there and we got thousands of hogan's just wait already be there. It's noon guys on it's tuesday. It'd be all new was wondering when you guys are gonna get here. My source told me. Aaron rodgers was at a whole foods this past weekend because of because in boulder. I don't even know if you guys are real like you guys could seriously spot. Leonardo di caprio in greeley and. I wouldn't believe you right away. There's just no way. I i wouldn't not happening. Has the poll. Question changed at all. The the the poll. So it's do the broncos. Make a mistake. Not drafting a quarterback and it's eighty two percents. Say yes. I went up a little bit up a little bit the nose. You guys are still optimistic. Colfax i tell you. Tomorrow is a big night for the nuggets. Are now a half a game. Back behind the los angeles clippers meaning. They win that game tomorrow night. They will leapfrog the clippers for at least a moment but the lakers got to keep winning. Now i mean they're only a game ahead of is it is. The mavericks said maverick. It's the mavericks so the mavericks are in sixth. That's the spot. That's the sweet spot now in the playoffs. So the get this tonight to colfax the jazz in the sons. Play each other tonight well. Somebody's losing that game. If the sun's lose the nuggets will be a game and a half out a two if the jazz lose they'll be two and a half games out of one. There is still a chance. Denver can leapfrog a couple of teams here so should be good man. Don't let the action stop with the draft all right. We'll take a quick break. We'll wrap up the show. We'll wrap up the week on the other side. It's.

"Nine live at the red barn studios. You're listening to animal radio. Here's how and judy. thanks guy. We are with dr alana reisner. She's a veterinary behaviorist while she understands. How how great. Animals can be an assisting people therapy animals. Our assistant service animals. She also says that kids. That are too young. Shouldn't have a service animal right. My general suggestion would be to reexamined it carefully and look to see if the child might find assistance and help through other means so with A teaching assistant for example in schools or with the parents or certain kinds of supervision and care but assigning an animal one on one to a child for example tying a dog to the waste of an autistic child by a leash. is unsafe. Unfortunately people actually do that. There have been. I've seen photographs or seen one particular story which well circulated for awhile of child that was on the spectrum and had a dog leash attached to her waist to that when she walked around the dog would follow. That to me seems crazy. That's that's asking for trouble. Yeah i mean there's not down or sure it's it's not. It's not a brilliant idea. I agree with you. I would discourage it a all very interesting and kind of different take. I would imagine there are people that are taking you head on No actually believe it or not. I hear plenty of controversial replies. But not about this particular topic i think at this point it's still relatively new And people aren't coming back about it but The idea of service dogs is a little bit. You know the the use of service dogs is also a little bit controversial general because of the types of training that they claim that the dealers claim to have given them. I'm sure you've heard recently about the service dog organization that Sold the dog that turned out to be aggressive. And you know there was some controversy with what the training involves. So i think it's it's such a broad topic i it depends so much on the dogs background And also on the the person with special needs who is Taking responsibility for the dog's care they all very interesting. The website your website is reisner vet behavior dot com right. That's the website I have a pretty active facebook page. Where i blog quite a bit about doug behavior as well and that's also reisner fete behavior. We'll put links to those over an animal. Radio dot pet dr alana reisner. Thank you so much for joining us today. Thank you very much. Hi pat how are you doing. Hi good thank you. Where are you calling from today. I'm calling from tennessee. You are on with dr debbie. I heard a caller call in on your show awhile ago and mentioned that. They had a dog who had cracked teeth. Cause they're chewing on some bones and we give we've got a miniature schnauzer. Who's got very powerful and We give her those nyla bones or the really hard plastic ones and kill through those like every couple of weeks we replace him and i was wondering if those are good for her if we should be using something else when general i think those are really good substitutes. The alternatives from you know true bones to finding something that's going to be an acceptable alternative And i think the night won't products are really pretty durable. But if you're doing what it sounds like you're doing when they start to show some signs of pieces being chewed or kind of getting broken down that yet toss it in you replace it because you can even still run the risk that You know a piece of that bone could get chewed up and swallowed it and cause an obstruction so if they're starting to really get Some significant damage on that item. No matter how good it is it's best to replace that And i could still feasibly. Maybe have a situation where A dog could crack a tooth on something. Lincoln isle of owned but If they hold up fairly well Through regular use. Then you'll have less of a problem with that then say a meat boehner steak bone. Yeah and then you know there are. You're welcome and there are some different types of the nyla bones. The neither products A lot of those types of things like the cong- toys I'm a real fan of those. If if your schnauzer really An avid schumer. I think those kind of products hold up very well The main thing is we want to avoid toys or chew items that have little corners That have soft parts that can be broken off easily and then with some of the edible type bones watch to make sure that you know they may be edible But we we have to watch out. Because some of those corn base cornstarch vs bones or potato bones carrot bones. All of those things can cause just as much concern. Yeah and you know. I like raw hides but i like them in the right Use i'm not a real fan on those little flip chip kind of things or the nodded raw hides and i do like. There's a type of high that's a compressed raw hide and if you have a dog that is an avid schumer in needs to have something to non and maybe he's not a fan of some of these things like the cons compressed raw head is the next best thing that i like to use my labs it could take them hours to get through one versus a regular rawhide would be you know minutes or less in their big strong jaws. So yeah i think that's a good alternative as well. It has passed by so fast once again. Thank you for plane with us today. Hopefully you can do it next week. Again go ask your mom if you could come out and play with us again next week. If you need your fix during the week she says no if you need your fix during the week head on over to animal. He's phoenix pumped after that comeback. Think it. he's not going to go off in this game. is he colfax here. He was pretty quiet for the rest of the night. But he did get the touchdown as a kid game. I mean it was good. It wasn't a good game. It was good to watch tampa bay do it. That was that was entertaining to me until about seven eight minutes left in the game. Then it was like all right. I see gronk at the touchdowns. They were just. They were just cool. I mean last night super bowl. The imaging like the commercials and stuff Like i said.
