"Keep us feeling marginalized often, you know, but I think another part of it is just like. Differ longtime. I also think we're folks of have accepted that. We could do this or that. And I just feel like for long term health. It's not so much choice. And that doesn't mean like, you know, everyone in your life has to know at this certain time in this certain way, it just means that like, I I don't I don't think it's the best idea for anybody to walk through their life being unknown by the people that they love and that love them. Well, I think so expression, I think you're talking about self expression. Right. And what makes people comfortable is when they are able to express themselves in this little box that they live in or in this little community that they live in may see somebody lives across the street. Looks like them talk like them. He drives the same car is. Their kids go to the same school that is patriarchal system that has been set up for all the rest of us people to live by his like unknown codes of conduct be silent rules that we've been operating under. And I think for the most part right people just do it. Like, you you ride you drive your car on rates other road is law. It's understood and we had these invisible codes of conduct culture right that either keep us feeling safe or unsafe. And I think that self-expression is independent of each other. Every single person has a different reason or desire or way to create a who they are as an identity as a human as family as community has country, and what the patriarch he wants us to do. Right. It is they need. To keep the people that they are governing empower over afraid of each other. So they've created these boxes knees. Labels that make it easier to quote, unquote, understand each other and to connect to each other. But actually, what they are very IRS to keep us afraid of each other and to keep us apart because the number one thing for power fewer, right? White men fewer in power to stay in power to keep the people that they are in power over afraid of each other. And I think that that's where this whole conversation gets fascinate me second of all it's not easy, by the way. There's so many different marginalized groups that are being made the afraid of each other, right? I'm part of this church. So I can't be friends with any any homosexuals or I'm part of this church in I can't. And so my point being. Is self expression is such a beautiful thing. But the culture that we live in is the thing that inhibits people from actually expressing way off because we might not have actual English words to define who want to deem is because we're multitudes, right? And so my wife's whether or not we talk about this all the time. Like, we are we are fluid. Like, you know, we look at the political system right now in its gross like, obviously, I am not anywhere near the Republican side. But like you actually look at what Democrats stand for right now that doesn't feel very enticing though, I still going to vote for them it just feel gross like on. And so I've been made to fear not attaching myself to Democratic Party each has than all of my rights will go out the window. But the truth is we have to get a little bit more comfortable in attaching ourselves the things that are not. Finite that are not binary because I think as we all as a species you're going to find out that none of that shit fucking matters. And it never has never will. It's just a it's a bullshit concept that has been made up by by white men to keep the rest of us in check. True. Crime obsessed is a true crime slash comedy podcasts from host Patrick Hynes. "I started dating it's been a few months now and things are going pretty, well, I would have said you months ago, they were going even better when we have just started seeing other, but he is really sensitive. Which isn't a bad thing. At all. I told him numerous times that I liked how open he was mostly and not he was able to communicate with me because something I haven't had in my previous relationships. But lately, it's gotten really really intent to the point where we can't actually communicate anymore because you get over one m and he Austin cries when we're just having a normal conversation. So it's gotten to a point where it honestly is turning the off. And it makes me feel really bad because I I am happy. He feels comfortable enough to be open with me. But it's gotten to a point where I'm not so into the relationship anymore. It's lacking a sort of like confidence that I used to find sexy as so I don't really know what to do about this. I've tried both wising it, but I don't wanna emasculate him in any way or make him feel bad for being emotional. But it's gotten to a point where we can't really talk because I'm afraid I'm going to make him cry and not makes me uncomfortable. And then I'm not really in the mood to have any sort of. Intimacy afterwards because I feel like I'm the one carrying the brunt of the communication in the relationship. Again, it's super new, and I feel like maybe this is just a sign that I should walk away. But there are certain things that really worked for me about him. So just wondering what your advice is on that. Sounds super annoying. And you have my permission. You have my blessing the terminate this relationship to end, it you're in the early very early stages dating this person, and he has a personality trait that you probably can't reach into his motherboard and tear out of him. And this personality trait that he weeps easily and often so much so that you're afraid to converse with him. Lest you set him off, and this personality trait makes you not wanna fuck him. So yeah, that is a fatal flaw you've discovered early in the dating process, a disqualifying character trait, and you are allowed for that reason. And that reason only to pull the plug, and yeah, we all want people who are in touch with their emotions who can access them. But we don't want to be with someone who's just a rolling tumbling weeping mess at all times, we it's impossible to date someone or or be partner with someone who's. Kind of a box of nitroglycerin unusually when I used that phrase their explosive and dangerous. But sometimes, you know, someone is just so easily set off that you're always on tenterhooks around them. You can never be confident or at ease around them for fear that you are going to say the wrong thing and make them burst into tears. I guess bursting into tears is preferable to flying off into a rage. But the way that can make you feel that hesitancy that insecurity, you're not in the same danger that somebody with a violently Reiji partner is but your also never at ease in the same way that some of the violently raped. She partner is and you were allowed to leave that person for making you feel uncomfortable and awkward and insecure at all times because you never know when they're gonna burst into tears because he said, what's for dinner the wrong way? So yeah, go you have my permission to leave. You have my permission to give this dude something real. About is your home like mine is it cluttered with stuff you do not use anymore. Clothes and shoes. You don't wear taking a valuable closet space old phones? Hiding in a drawer, toys and games. At the kids aren't interested in anymore. Lemme tell you about an app you can use to sell this stuff. It's called Macari Macari is a selling up that makes it fast and easy to sell almost anything. And it's.

Actually, I'd spent the last eight weeks or so in a miserable European referendum campaign where there was Ouragan on all sides. There was complacency. There was ignorance. It was a dreadful debate. I'd actually been writing not speech in my head with realizing Reiji so so it was from the har-. It was also have to say it was on the verge of tears. The things that are memorable, a memorable for all the wrong reasons. Brexit means Brexit such a pathetic non-statement. There are very few soaring moments of inspirations of had. I suppose that just maybe that's maybe that's the measure of the moment. Well, in my case, if I keep the rights under control at so win. So. Particularly healthy without. And but yeah, the whole Brexit debate has been reveling in reveling in ignorance and actually much of the aim of the debate has not actually been to inform prejudice away by giving people fights and information it's being dependent to.
