Amber Athey: Biden Documents Scandal Continues to Grow
"It seems like they're trying to drip drip strategy but it's just not working No if anything it's the opposite the story continues to permeate the press surprisingly actually I think it has been getting pretty decent coverage from the media Because of the fact that after they initially found these documents ahead of the midterm election they didn't tell anyone then but claimed they were fully cooperating then we find out in January that this had happened And then the FBI goes in searches Biden's homes in Wilmington and Rehoboth beach And his lawyers and White House aides keep saying that they're being transparent but you can tell by the statements that they're releasing that they're not For example in the search of the Rehoboth home yesterday they said that they didn't find the materials with any classified markings Okay but were there materials taken that had classified information in them We don't know that yet but they did say that they took handwritten notes and other materials for further review Then you look at the statement that they put out after the search of the Wilmington hull And they said that there were 6 items containing classified documents that were taken And immediately the narrative became well it was only 6 classified documents That was way fewer than former president Donald Trump had but that's not accurate It was fixed items containing classified documents We don't know what those items are They could be boxes they could be big rubbermaid tote containers They could be entire filing cabinets So the more we learn from the drip the more it seems like the Biden administration was trying to cover this up and obviously make it seem a lot less bad than it is

We should not be doing what we're not asking the average American family to do, which is to spend more than they make. You know, when you talk to your children and you tell them, hey, you have to stay within your allowance or you have to make ends meet with what you earn or what your salary is the same thing for the government. So yeah, there is waste. There's fraud. There is a lot of problems in every branch of government, and we should be going there and cutting. But at the same time, we are the United States, and we need to be responsible. We need to be paying our debts. We can not default on our debts. But at the same time, put the house in order. So that's what we have to do. And I'm very happy that Kevin McCarthy, the Speaker of the House, is going to be meeting with the president. And now the president is willing to negotiate and put an end to this situation. But at the same time, sending the message to the rest of the world that we are not going to default on our debts. DOJ Searches Joe Biden's Delaware Home
"Now on the Mike Gallagher show. The FBI is currently searching President Biden's Delaware vacation home for classified documents. They are in Rehoboth beach Delaware, his legal team had said that they had searched the Rehoboth beach home and found no mishandled papers, however, similar assurances had been given about Biden's Wilmington home before they found more records there on January 20th, so right now the FBI is on the premises, searching Biden's Rehoboth beach, Delaware home. Boy, what a absolute dilemma this has to be. For Trump haters. On the one hand, they want to use the mishandling of classified documents as a way to hoist Trump on his own petard. As they say, so what are you going to say about grandpa Joe? And he's got him apparently spread out all over the country. His Wilmington home, Robin beach, the Penn Biden center. I mean, this guy is a veritable cornucopia of mishandled classified documents. So I guess you got to turn the page on that one, right? Trump gets vindicated yet again.

"CBS White House correspondent Stephen portnoy has been corrected now. Steven, you with us? I'm here. Murphy's law lives in radio. Yes, indeed. Well, let's go back to discussing the FBI search in Rehoboth beach. What more do we know about what's happening there today? Well, the search is underway. It has been today. It was not announced in advance, news crews positioned outside the president's vacation home in Rehoboth saw the FBI rolling in. The president's private attorney says in a statement today that it was a planned search done with mister Biden's consent. This is now the third time that we're aware of that the FBI has been sifting through the president's papers and effects. We learned yesterday that the FBI searched the president's think tank office in mid November, then of course there was a search and Wilmington last month. The president's personal lawyers said that they did their own search of the Rehoboth residents on January 11th and found nothing. Classified. So today, the FBI is going to essentially see if it can find anything. Now, it seems we're learning about this search a lot sooner than we learned about some of the prior searches. Is this just a change as to how The White House is conducting things now or what are you hearing about this? Well, because news crews had been positioned outside the president's Rehoboth home. I don't know whether the disclosure was made by as a function of the fact that reporters were nearby and saw the FBI rolling in or whether the plan was to announce it as it was happening, but one thing that the president's personal lawyer said in their statement was that they had been essentially asked by the Justice Department by the FBI not to announce it in advance. Now let's talk about the sit down that's happening this afternoon between the president and the House speaker. This is just the beginning of what we will call negotiations about raising the debt ceiling. What are both sides saying as they head into this meeting? Well, The White House market is saying that the president has no intention of negotiating on the debt ceiling. But this is the first time that the president of the United States and the Republican Speaker of the House was sit together in the Oval Office, no plans for coverage at this point by the oppress at The White House so far that's been excluded by The White House. But, you know, going into this, The White House has tried to position it by saying that the president is an honest broker who is serious about avoiding default and the Republicans have to show what it is that they would propose. There's an old adage in this town though, Mark, that it's when it comes to budget politics, the president proposes and the Congress disposes, which is to say that the president has to propose a budget. He's late in doing that. We're not expecting him to do it for another 5 more weeks until after the State of the Union. March 9th. We'll see what happens this afternoon will be listening for your reports that CBS White House correspondent Stephen portnoy, thank you, Stephen. Milk, eggs

"The story as we get them. Also breaking up this hour, the FBI has been conducting a search at the Rehoboth beach home of President Biden. It's part of their classified documents investigation. President Biden's personal lawyer bob Bowers is in a statement that FBI agents are conducting a planned search today of the president's Rehoboth beach vacation home as part of its investigation into the potential mishandling of classified documents, the search follows one on January 20th at Biden's Wilmington Delaware home that lasted 13 hours during which agents took possession of documents with classified markings and some of Biden's handwritten notes, Bauer says the president has agreed to cooperate with the Justice Department, which initiated a probe when attorneys for Biden uncovered classified documents on November 2nd, while closing an old think tank office at the Penn Biden center. The man so many believe is the greatest quarterback of all time, is finally hanging it up. After 7 Super Bowl titles with New England and Tampa Bay, Tom Brady says he is actually retiring from football. You'll recall, he announced his retirement on this day, a year ago, and then changed his mind 6 weeks later. Joining us live now is Washington Post sports reporter Cindy borom. Cindy, thanks for joining us this morning. So what makes this believe this time that Brady means that he's not coming back? Well, we have to take him at his word this time. He had always said that he would play until he was 45. He turned 45 last August. He had an especially trying season this year off the field with his divorce. The team wasn't as good around him as the team that won the Super Bowl in Tampa and it was just challenging for him. He finished with the first losing record in his career. He had decent stats, you know, certainly by the standards of most interval quarterbacks he had really good stats. So it just felt like it was time. He just seemed exhausted after the loss to the cowboys. Now we are going off of the video statement that he released on Twitter this morning. Do we have any sense after this season, especially for the reasons you've just outlined that he regrets coming back? I don't think so. I don't think he's the sort of person who really looks back. I think he is ready to move forward, whatever that means, whether it means going to Fox, where they've had a microphone waiting for him for a year and now and a big paycheck I should add. And I think he's ready to move on. I think it was difficult for him too because being divorced the kids weren't with him all the time. He didn't see them as often. He's talked in the past about the sacrifices that being a parent require and how difficult that is with his job. So I think he's ready to spend more time with them. They're older and they don't hang around waiting for dad as much as they used to. Now from your side of the fence, do you think that coming back and then announcing the retirement again, does that lend itself to a full day of praise on a full week of praise that he got last year? What do you think the reaction is going to be this time? I think people believe it now. I believe it now. Although, of course, we're always where we remember what happened a year ago today. But things were different. Now there are teams that are interested in them. There have been talks that maybe he might have there's been conversation that he might end up in San Francisco or in Las Vegas. But this just feels a lot different. He was more emotional in his video this time. But, you know, we may be here next year saying, oh, this time we really mean it. He's retiring. Every February 1st. Groundhog Day on the first. All right, Sidney, thank you so much for spending some time with us and sharing your thoughts. That's Washington Post, sports reporter, Cindy

Tucker Carlson: How Could Hunter Biden Afford High Rental Costs?
"Tucker asked that question. I want to play a little bit of Tucker Carlson last night because of course, as usual, Tucker has an ability to take a common sense approach to issues that, well, they're right under our nose. Here was Tucker on Fox News. In 2018, Hunter Biden was looking to rent property in California. Now, on a background check form as part of his rental application, hunter Biden claimed that, in fact, he owned the Delaware House that Joe Biden his dad says that he owned. So they're both claiming to own the same house. Hunter Biden then also listed the address of that house as his primary residence on his driver's license and official government document. Now this is the very same home where Joe Biden has spent a third of his presidency in addition to his beach house in Rehoboth without maintaining any visitor logs. Now, this is worth knowing, and we don't know this because The New York Times or ABC News dispatched one of his crack reporters who found it. No, we know it because an anonymous Twitter account called at JJ talking found this background check for him on Hunter Biden's laptop Miranda define it for the New York Post has also done extensive reporting on it. And the document raises quite a few questions. Not all of which we can answer, by the way. But the obvious ones include did Hunter Biden actually buy his father's home in Delaware, was he making rent payments to live there? Does that amount that he was paying referred to another property? It was a big amount on the form Hunter Biden claims he's paying nearly 50,000 a month in housing costs. 50 thousand a month. Weren't that money come from? You wouldn't take Hunter Biden to be able to earn that kind of money. Now, at the time, this was pre laptop. But Hunter Biden had already been thrown out of the U.S. Navy for cocaine use. He had already abandoned a rental car with a crack pipe inside along with his ID. He had already left his wife for his sister in law.

Why Biden and Trump Should Be Held to the Same Standard
"If Joe Biden had the daily, there's a lot of over classification. If he had the daily presidential brief from a day in which nothing was going on and somehow it got mixed up, that's just not criminal. That's just stupid and negligent and it's on his staff. And the same goes for president Trump, and they might have it classified very, very, very high because of a methods and source disclosure. Don't say anything other than the same standard. It's got to be applied to both cases and we got to get to the bottom of this. It did make one good point. We should have federal agents at the president's House in Rehoboth. The president's main house in Delaware and his house in McLean. And they should be executing a voluntary search not private individuals, not bob Bauer, not Hugh Hewitt, even though we both held clearances at one time. We don't hold them now. So now we need people with clearances to go and look. And if he's not hiding anything, he should welcome them in.

"Of course center I you probably see in this right now Joe Biden who is seems to be lost in The White House calling for a gas tax pause I have a theory on this I'd love to get your take I think the Republicans should double down I think they should turn around and say you know what Now that you're a big tax cutter Joe We agree It's a great idea Let's pause it for 6 months Let's double it and while you're at it let's throw an amendment in there to make the Trump tax cuts permanent Your thoughts on that We shouldn't run from this We should embrace it Well absolutely on making the tax cuts permanent but I don't think we have any Democrat votes for that And it will point out their hypocrisy But really I think we need to keep drilling down on the cause of the gas prices going up in the first place There's generalized inflation and that's from the massive $6 trillion borrowed in the last two years when the fed buys the debt that create all this new money when it enters circulation to all the different $1400 checks They passed out to everyone It increases the demand and the prices rise So that's responsible for the prices across the board going up in gas there are some specific reasons Well you have an administration who says they want to end the era of gasoline powered cars So that scares people to death and scares the marketplace to data You have an administration that doesn't want to let people drill for a while So when you have restrictions on the supply basically the price goes up And there's also the war So I think speculation in the war has added to the problems But it's one thing after another and they act as if they don't understand what causes inflation but basically deficits and the financing of deficits by the Federal Reserve is what causes inflation and the way you fix inflation is you got to quit adding to the debt

"The three massachusetts towns of abington rehoboth and freetown exist a triangular slice of land. That has become home to hundreds of reports of unexplainable phenomenon. It's known as the bridgewater triangle though. Some call it the black triangle or the devil's triangle. It might not be swallowing up. Fighter jets and colonial era ships like the bermuda triangle to the south but its history is just as storied and mysterious. One of the areas within. The triangle is the hawks swamp. It's a seventeen thousand acre wetland near bridgewater massachusetts in the sixteen hundreds it was inhabited by the wapping noah tribe of native americans and the fort. They built inside. It became a strategic location for them during king. Philip's war in sixteen seventy four one legend details how during this time of upheaval and invasion by the colonies. A powerful artifact was lost in the swamp. now. I can't find anything beyond a small wikipedia entry to confirm this but the story tells of how an object known as the wadham belt was lost during the war and as a result the swamp became the home to restless spirits. Ever since the swamp has been the source of nearly endless supply of unexplainable sightings one of the most dramatic and best documented reports was made by local police officer. Sergeant thomas downey on a summer night. In nineteen seventy-one downey was driving toward the town of eastern near a place known as bird hill that sits at the edge of the swamp as he approached the hill he caught sight of an enormous winged creature. Downey claims that it was over six feet tall and had a wingspan of almost twelve feet. After reporting the sighting to the east police he quickly earned the nickname of the birdman about you but it seems odd that a police officer would risk his reputation on such an unusual claim. If it was just a joke officer. He clearly saw something that night. Just what that thing was of course is open to debate
